So you guys might have heard the big news that Mark Bell, he ran the Power Project podcast.
We got kicked off.
Unfortunately, Mark's channel, the podcast, one of the biggest podcasts in this industry,
has been terminated.
Not demonetized, not suspended, not some of his videos removed.
He got kicked the F off YouTube.
And so apparently it's harmful and dangerous to be open and honest and transparent.
To tell people the good, the bad, the ugly, the pros and cons of doing or taking certain things.
No warning, no reasons, just gone.
And so what should we do? Just say nothing? Pretend it doesn't exist?
I gotta be honest, the tinfoil hat is looking mighty fine right now.
All right, well, I guess apparently we're back.
Yeah, I guess we got canceled there
for a little bit.
That show was scary, wasn't it?
It was exciting.
You don't want to use that verb.
Probably the most excitement
I've had in a long time.
You were giddy about it.
You're like, ooh, really?
It's all gone?
All thousand episodes?
Yeah.
Yeah, I don't know, man.
It's a lot to think about, right?
At first, I was like, oh, well, that sucks.
But we'll probably get it back.
You know, that's immediately what I thought.
Like must be some sort of minor infraction.
I don't recall anybody doing anything wild or crazy.
I don't remember anyone doing anything too nuts.
I myself don't remember saying anything that I regret.
I don't remember saying something where I'm like, oh, man, I got to tell the guys, like maybe we should pull that.
It was nothing crazy that I felt I said or did. And being on the podcast with you guys, then also being on the podcast and doing anabolic activities with Kenny, I'm there for almost everything, almost every single thing that we
publish. I hear everything. We've talked about all kinds of different stuff on this show from
penis pumps to steroids and everything kind of in between. And nothing has really
caused any sort of warning or strike or anything that I recall before.
I think we've done a decent job of,
we'll joke around and stuff like that.
But even when we joke around,
we try to make sure that we mentioned that we're joking around.
Always context.
Yeah.
We try to have context.
I mean,
we're not,
we're not as diligent as like a Huberman who will tell you like,
Hey,
make sure you go see a clinician.
And we don't always do that all the time type of stuff.
But none of us are doctors. We not nutritionists we're not i think that people aren't coming here for like medical advice and stuff like that we they know that we're meatheads and that we love
to train and that we love to look into it and we do study it and uh we we know some stuff uh but
also i think people come here because they know that we don't take it so seriously.
Maybe that's why a lot of people are fans in the first place
is that it's a place they can go where it's not so science-y.
It's a place they can go where we're not talking about stuff so delicately.
However, we're also not on the other side of that
where we're not all Alex Jones in here either,
where we're like really...
The frogs are...
Anyway, we have a lot of fun
with the show you know when I heard about kind of what happened it was like I just like refused to
believe it you know what I mean so it didn't hurt me or bother me really much at all other than the
fact that I was like how do we leverage this because any publicity is good publicity I was
thinking like this is Vince McMahon time this is like this is good publicity. I was thinking like, this is Vince
McMahon time. This is like, this is perfect. Like this gives us a spotlight. But one thing that I
find rather shocking is that with our channel being deleted, there was no warning. Typically
YouTube, at least I was under the assumption that when YouTube sees something that they don't like,
they'll give your channel a strike and you've got three strikes, you're out. Up until this point, we've never had a strike on our channel. In 2020, we did an episode
with Dr. Batar. That didn't give us a strike though. It was just, we had to take the video
down. We didn't have any channel strikes. Yeah. We didn't even take it down. That was the thing.
That was- We should probably just do that. I don't know.
No. Well, the thing is we can't, we have no, there's nothing we can do with it. It's gone.
So that was the first thing that you could deem as like a warning or it
wasn't an official strike.
Yeah.
It was just like,
this doesn't fit our guidelines.
It's gone.
And we had no say,
no nothing.
But I was like,
okay,
this fits like the overall narrative of what's kind of going on with that
sort of thing.
And so,
I mean,
we didn't fight back.
We was just like,
all right,
cool.
Yeah,
this is your platform.
We're going to,
you know, abide and not really like dispute this at all and we're just gonna keep
moving and that's the shocking thing because we've we've done 1032 right Andrew uh yeah yeah yes uh
I'll check but I know what this where we're at right now is like 1032 1032 uh but a ton of clips
hundreds of clips on this channel we've been been in good standing. And then literally one day with one infraction that we had no idea about, they just deleted it
without giving us a warning or telling us what it was. The way we found out what it was was
because there's a fan of the show, Jorge, who he saw the channel was gone. He DM'd all of us.
And then we were able to get in contact with him. And he told us, this is why your your show was gone It's because there was a link on another show if we didn't have someone like that
Our channel wouldn't be here and that's fucked up because there's probably so many people that have their channels deleted and are still like wait
I don't know what I did. Yeah, they don't have somebody on the inside that can help them figure it out
Yeah, and YouTube's a business, of course
I've seen so many comments where they can do what they want. Right. But that just shows, hey, you got to be careful and maybe you need to try to get some connections. I've always thought it was just so cool. I don't think in 2007 when I started, the first video on there that I ever posted
is my son Jake meeting my daughter Quinn.
And I posted a lot of stuff like that back in the day.
And I think that people enjoyed some of that
because it was like there would be some lifting
and there would be some of that kind of stuff
in there as well.
But to have a platform that's not only free,
but then gives you an opportunity to like grow a base and have subscribers and then maybe even push your own business.
But even on top of that, it also pays you.
Yeah.
That doesn't make any sense.
That's insane.
That's crazy.
I always thought that that was amazing.
I'm not sure what year that started to really like hit,
but I've been enjoying the revenue from that for a while now.
And it's incredible.
It's an incredible part.
It's been an incredible part of the growth of Slingshot.
It's been an incredible part of bringing on people like Andrew
and bringing on like staff that has helped edit so many videos.
Being a part of this community for
so long and also like there's something different about people that are fans from youtube and
there's something different about you guys see the youtube comments are much different than anywhere
else in the world i don't know what what makes that happen but uh i had really good conversation
with uh bradley martin about this
recently and we were both laughing about how sometimes the fans can be really funny and i
said my favorite thing that i've ever read on any of your the funniest thing i've ever seen
uh regarding bradley martin is someone said on his youtube channel this is the kind of guy that
shampoos his hat to go on a date. And I just lost
it. That like had me in tears because everyone
makes fun of him because he always wears a hat
because he's bald.
He's got something, right?
He's got something. He's just like a retracted
hairline. Something like that.
I was just like,
people are so ridiculous, you know?
And he was laughing his ass off when I
told him that. He's like, man, that is a good one.
I was like, I know.
I was like, sometimes they get you, man.
So I have loved YouTube.
And along with, you know, filming videos of squats and benches and all that kind of stuff,
I filmed so much stuff of like the in-between stuff.
And that's when people really started getting attracted to super training because i would just go around with a camera my fucking cyber shot camera that's like this little flip
camera i don't even know what the hell brand it was sony sony there you go and i would just go
around and i'd be like what what's up with you and i would just talk shit to each person i'd be like
what's your excuse why are you so fat or why is is this guy so fat? What are you doing over here?
Why are you trying to lift this weight?
You're not going to be able to.
I'd just go around and mess around with people.
And the people in the gym, either they were like Henri type people that were real serious and into their workout so it made it funny.
Or they were in on the joke too.
Someone like Tristan Scholl or something like that would make a funny joke.
And then people were watching not just for the lifting.
They were also watching because they started to kind of learn like who are all these people that are in this gym.
And I always felt that people would be attracted to it because I'm like, this is not like none of this is normal.
Like we think this is normal, but a girl just squatted 500 pounds.
And that guy over there, his nose is bleeding.
And this other guy over here is trying to do a Zurcher squat with six plates or something.
You have the weight in the crooks of your elbows, and you're trying to lift it off of pins or something like that.
We were just doing weird stuff all the time.
And I thought people would be fascinated, not just with the humor and stuff like that,
but just the goal of getting stronger.
And it ended up working.
It ended up working the way that it did.
We are kind of looking into different areas to post videos, but we would hate to have
the YouTube channel taken down.
And in addition to that, we're looking to do some other things with the podcast that will
deliver more content to you guys. And also it will be advertisement free. And we're looking to do
that on Patreon. So you can kind of look forward to that coming up. Yeah, we're figuring out that
right now because there's some things in the back end. But on Patreon, we're going to have all of
our episodes there. They'll be ad free. And then that's going to be supported by you guys.
So if anything ever does happen on YouTube,
we're not going to have any problems.
Patreon is still going to be there.
We're also going to be publishing on X.
There we go.
Because that's apparently a growing platform.
And yeah, we're going to put videos out on Rumble.
I saw so many people commenting Rumble, Rumble, Rumble.
All three of them will be very happy that it's on Rumble.
Ain't no one watches shit on Rumble.
I'm sorry.
Rumble's where you go to die.
Rumble's where you go if you can't be on YouTube.
Check this out.
If we got as many views as we got people saying we should be on Rumble,
dude, we'd be the fucking highest viewed,
like whatever, I don't even know what they're called,
Rumblers on fucking Rumble.
But the thing is, everyone's like,
you guys are stupid for not being thing is everyone's like you guys
are stupid for not being there it's like hey you're not there either so why are you mad at me
for not publishing to rumble nobody's there and we're everywhere too like we're everywhere you
can kind of think of spotify apple still there spotify has video and uh it's not like we haven't
tried stuff it's not like we're not aware. And I appreciate people commenting and giving us options, but we're pretty aware of a lot of the options for things out there.
All three of us are just about everywhere that you can possibly find someone on social media.
Some of us are more active in certain things than others, but we're all over the place as much as we can possibly be. One thing that I found super
interesting when I would go, just thinking of when I would go to a commercial gym or when I would go
to a trade show or if I would go and travel down to Los Angeles and go to Gold's Gym,
I'd run into so many people and they were like, man, it's so crazy. Man, you made it.
And I always thought that was super interesting. I'm like, man, it's so crazy. Like, man, you made it. And I always thought that
was super interesting. I'm like, I made it like off my phone using YouTube, which you have access
to as well, you know? And so I guess I made it as far as like this stuff would allow me to do it.
So again, I always been appreciative of it. And I agree with some of the comments I saw,
some people were saying YouTube doesn't owe anybody anything. And I agree with some of the comments I saw, some people were saying YouTube doesn't owe
anybody anything. And I agree. I agree with that. It is their place to say what they deem right and
wrong since the platform that they built and that they spend a lot of money on, it makes a lot of
sense that they can dictate the rules. The only thing that I thought was odd was that there's just not a warning there's no
warning there's no um and it really wasn't much communication either it was just like you're gone
and then andrew tried to file appeal and they're like oh yeah we double checked and you're really
gone yeah check and it turns out you're off the team you know i wrote such a heartfelt appeal
and they're just like, we know this sounds,
or this must be,
this must be disappointing for you,
but you're not coming back.
And the funny thing is,
is at the very bottom of that email,
it's like,
was this email helpful?
Yes or no.
I was so freaking destroyed from reading it that I didn't even see that.
But I want to throw out something real quick.
On YouTube,
there's a total of 51 million channels.
38 million of those are considered active and 2 million creators are part of the youtube partner program which means they're monetized so the thing is is even though youtube has a bunch of employees
at this point there's a lot of ai doing shit so who knows if a human being even looked at your
email because they'll say a human looks at it but who knows if human even fucking does look at it
yeah considering like again i forgot the stats but like every minute there's like i don't know how many
thousands and or hundreds of thousands of hours uploaded to youtube uh you know again per minute
uh and and then so in regards to that email and the response and stuff so the the channel was
initially like shut down or at least that email came through at like 1 0 1 AM. And then the appeal got shut down at 1 30 AM. So either somebody staying in the office to make
sure nobody sees them shutting us down or it was just a computer. Uh, I think, you know, whatever,
I don't care which, which is the truth or not. I'm just happy that we have Jorge on our side.
We do a lot. We say a lot of shit and have a lot of people on though on this podcast
that are not popular.
The thing that is popular right now
as far as health is concerned
is a plant-based diet.
A lot of these things
that we don't necessarily practice
but we've had people on to talk about.
So a lot of our things aren't anti-health
but they're not popular health.
So if there's,
we're not pushing normal shit.
So I wouldn't be surprised
if someone even did look at the channel and they're like, they did break a rule yeah and they talk about this carver
diet a lot they were finally welcome gotcha bitch finally you slipped up you guys know uh andy bell
doesn't have any hard time making decisions you know she's like yeah she's like i would have
you know an alert would it came to me i would have looked at it and clicked on a couple episodes and been like, yep, they're gone.
Penis pumps?
What?
I was like,
thanks a lot.
What the fuck?
It's like,
well,
they got to make,
anyway,
I think YouTube has their hands full.
You don't want me trying to run that company.
I've got no idea what the hell's going on
because you imagine the amount of craziness,
the amount of videos
and also what happened early on with youtube must have been
nuts before they could stop stuff yeah you know like they have so many the the amount of concerns
that they have are off the charts like somebody just posting somebody's music like that's an
that's like that's not cool right someone worked really hard they made this music and someone just
shares it out it's like that's really hard for them to stop um ufc i don't usually buy ufc because
i usually watch it on youtube but because like at this point you know the espn espn plus app and all
this other shit i'm like i'm not even gonna that. I'm just going to wait till the next day and watch the fight in the morning.
And if no one got knocked out, I ain't watching it either.
You know, you save so much time.
Oh my God.
You guys sit there for four hours and watch the whole thing.
Only to find out it went to the scorecard and you get upset at the result.
Paparazzi family, shut your fucking mouth.
We've been talking about breathing through your nose and nasal breathing during your sleep
for the past five years. That's why we've partnered with hostage tape. It's the best
tape on the market. Sticks to your face even if you have a beard. So head to hostage tape.com
slash power project and you'll be able to get a year supply of tape for 55 cents a day. That
shit saves you $150. It's a no braininer. Links in the description and the podcast show notes.
Enjoy the show.
And Siva, where were you when you seen that the channel was down?
This was one of the mornings where I was like, I got up early.
And this was one of the mornings that I didn't get up early.
So this was the perfect fucking storm to look at my phone with, I don't know how many texts from you.
But yeah, what happened?
Because the Sean Baker episode that's going to be coming out on YouTube,'s a banger so i was going to go check and make sure everything
was good with it so i was up at like five and then i went to the channel i was like wait
it's not here and then uh i i re-signed in and it wasn't there i typed it in on youtube mark
bell's power project nothing was there and i texted y'all i'm like yo the channel's gone
so again it's like that's weird you, most channels get strikes. We didn't.
And we understand what happened.
But it's, it's, it's, it's, it's irking because our channel isn't small. We're big, but we're not massive.
So even as a fairly big channel, your shit can just be gone.
And we have no priors, dog.
That's the thing.
We have no priors dog that's the thing we have no priors so if you're a creator on this
channel or on this on this fucking on this whole platform just be mindful be careful and and and
just uh don't have all your eggs in that basket try to get your shit everywhere yeah i freaking
love youtube man when i you know when i so i had like a rough night the night before have some
family stuff going on right now.
And so I ended up, I didn't go to bed till like past midnight.
And so I'm like, all right, I'm not going to jujitsu the next morning.
Like check like alarms off.
I'm just going to wake up when I wake up.
And when I woke up, it was to text messages from Encima.
And I'm like, that's not right.
Check my phone, same thing.
I'm like, that's not right either.
Like maybe I'll go to my computer and then like as i'm coming to reading the text messages and seeing like the group threads of
like everybody i'm like yo the last six years of my life are completely wiped off the fucking planet
like here i am the guy that's going to be teaching people how to do this and I have no proof that I can do this my damn self now obviously that's being very dramatic right like there's tons of
stuff that I can show proof that I can figure out all this podcasting stuff but I'm like wow
like all these millions of views gone like all these subscribers gone like what the fuck am I
gonna do like I start thinking about all these things start thinking about like episode two was on this channel because episode one was actually on
the st06 channel so like we started this with zero and so like I was like damn like this is
crazy and then try to stay calm try to mark bell it and be like it's gonna be okay we're gonna
figure it out no matter what happens things are to get better from here on out try to stay calm
try to stay calm freaked out a couple times went back to being calm and then as like i start talking
to you guys and then here and mark like always kind of joke around about stuff and so like that
made me feel better and then obviously getting the you know getting you to post that that initial
ig post and then getting in contact with jorge i was just like all right actually like we were
all kind of thinking like fuck we might have to start way over from ground zero like okay well
we'll build back better but man i really don't want to i really want to get our channel back
and then so with that though everything seemed like no matter what happens like the support that
we got online was incredible that was like by far like the coolest thing i've ever seen where it's like everybody like from people that we we would
say like our peers right they're making videos it's a lot of people that we had on the show
yeah a lot of people they had on the show and then just the like so many supporters i received so
many dms for the first time ever i couldn't keep up with any of my dms i was freaking blown away
that was really really amazing so thank you so much for doing that.
That's when I was like, we're going to be fine.
No matter what happens, we're going to be just fine.
Yeah, the response to that first post,
that's kind of immediately what I thought about
when Nsema was saying that we were shut down
and then I think we maybe got a subsequent shutting down
that was a little bit more finalized. shut down and then i think we maybe got a subsequent shutting down of uh you know that
was a little bit more finalized um and then i did hear some people saying like you know
if you're a band from youtube like it's like a band for life and some people were saying all
kinds of stuff but i guess it probably depends on what the infraction is it probably depends on
it probably depends on a lot of a lot
of different things um which makes sense because it should be like contextual it should it should
make sense you know for everybody involved but uh when i made that post and just seeing the response
from people was was pretty awesome but when i was a kid i remember um there was just like all these
different whether it was like metal or rap it didn't matter it was just like all these different, whether it was like metal or rap,
it didn't matter.
It was just like whatever music,
you know,
was,
was kind of coming through at the time.
You know,
Ozzy Osbourne,
when I was a little kid,
like supposedly he like bit the head off of a bat or something like that at a
concert,
like something wild.
I don't know.
Some weird,
crazy white people stuff.
Yeah.
That's what it sounds like.
And,
and then groups like NWA were being banned all the time.
And I remember two live crew being banned.
And they would get kind of graphic on stage.
They would pretend they're humping or fucking or whatever word you want to use for some of that.
And I remember that guy just leaning into it.
And he made a song called Band in the USA.
And I always thought that was awesome because
um they literally got banned i mean i it was kind of unbelievable at the time unprecedented that uh
that group would get like shut down so hard but obviously they were doing things that were like
upsetting people i guess and uh i thought like okay well if that's the situation with us and
you know i was communicating with you guys,
we're like, let's just kind of lean into this
and I'm going to make a post and see what we can do with it.
I mean, what else can you do with it
other than to try to like have some fun with it,
shed some light on it,
and then also like drive awareness.
Like, hey, I don't really think,
this doesn't seem right to me.
Like, does this fall in line with like freedom of speech
and things like that? Again, I totally get it. I understand't seem right to me. Like, does this fall in line with like freedom of speech and things like that?
Again, I totally get it.
I understand you can't just go and run your mouth.
You can't just go and say anything.
You can't be reckless.
I totally understand that.
But like most of the times in life,
you get like warnings like, yo, that's not cool.
Like that word's not good.
What you said right there is wrong.
Like you offended people, you hurt people,
all that kind
of stuff totally understandable but to have stuff just ripped away from you when you didn't even do
any of those things that what that was the part that just didn't feel right and so by kind of
putting it out there to other people i'm like you know we're kind of collectively i guess like do
you guys think this is right like this doesn't correct. I'm not saying I know the way forward
that YouTube should like run their company.
I have no idea how the fuck that works.
Again, there's probably people posting
all kinds of crazy shit every second of the day.
So I don't have any clue on how they could manage that.
But it would seem like taking someone's channel down makes a lot of sense.
But holding it for a little bit and saying, we have to work on this case.
We're going to be communicating with you.
Or have someone we didn't have anybody to communicate with until Jorge came to the rescue.
Yeah.
And the thing that I think kind of fucked it is over time, you're going to see
that there's some new things that are going to be coming to this channel. There are some new shows
that we plan on producing here. So with that comes things that we need to look at. Anabolic
Activity is the first one of those shows. And they recently started working with a company,
which I will not name because I don't even want to give that company any airtime, but
they were working with that company via an affiliate link, right? We thought it's just peptides. My job is I handle
the sponsorships for our show. So when they said it's peptides, I was just like, ah, it's just
peptides. Okay then. So they were working with that company via an affiliate and they had that
in their description. They've never talked about this company in their videos. They never said,
head to this company, but it was in seven of their video descriptions, right?
That's what got the whole channel.
That's what YouTube said got the whole channel deleted.
Again, a link that's in seven videos.
And when you go to the website, they sell peptides, but they also sell pro-hormones.
They sell research oils and other stuff.
So I get it.
Okay, these are banned substances.
I get that.
But the thing is,
is there is no warning.
Number one,
this is an expensive lesson
because me looking at all the sponsors,
I need to make sure that
if any of the shows that we produce,
whatever they work with,
we need to make sure
there's nothing sketchy.
But at the same time,
it's an expensive fucking lesson to learn
because if this link was just
in seven of the
videos on the channel which is less than one percent of the videos on this channel we've done
1032 podcast episodes hundreds of clips it's in less than one percent of the videos in this channel
and it's just a link that will just that that just deleted the channel holy shit you know so that's
one of those things where it's just like we couldn't get a warning we like
if we knew what it was we wouldn't have we wouldn't have had it promoted in this show
so it's like yeah of course we're going to be more careful now i'm going to be more careful
now since those are the things that i need to make sure of but god dang yeah that's an expensive
lesson everyone hurts from that it. It doesn't make sense.
You figure they would have just, at the very least, just maybe deleted those videos, specifically those seven videos, and said, hey, there's been a huge infraction here.
You can't do this.
This is the link, and this is what's wrong.
Oh, you get it.
Okay, cool. You guys are going to be done.
If anything like this ever happens again, you're out or something like that.
But there wasn't anything like that at all. at all yeah yeah and that's what i mean like you're gonna like this
whatever way you want to look at it if you think that youtube is just a thing for consuming
and us putting stuff on youtube is just for our own self-promotion whatever you want to call it
it is still a partnership right we we we do get some ad revenue from YouTube, but we also create
ad revenue, revenue for YouTube. So it's a cool partnership. And so when I'm looking at it, I'm
like, man, you're going to, you're going to break this whole thing off by like, like we've been
saying less than 1% of our entire catalog. You're just going to wipe it all off and be like, yeah,
we're done. And so that's what makes me
think that yes it probably was just some like robot right and because i just feel like if there
was some human touch to that that they would have been able to look at it and been like oh wow we
can't i don't know if that's fair to get rid of the entire thing based off of a couple of links
right every human likes the shit we talk about dog dog. I know that. There's so many things
but like we've been saying, there's so much
stuff that's on YouTube.
There's no way they can have one person for every
sector of videos.
There's just too many. But with all that said,
man, I'm just grateful to be back
on YouTube because I love it here. I've been
a fan of YouTube ever since I discovered it.
I used
to try to create my own videos and none
of them were ever any good, but
when I started working with Mark and making
some of those vlogs, those are
still some of my absolute proudest videos
I've ever put together.
Hustlemania. Yeah, the thought of
potentially not having an opportunity
to put those on YouTube,
it's like, man, that would suck.
No one wants to be on Rumble.
No one's on Rumble.
No one wants to be.
Yeah.
Again, I'd rather be on Putfile than Rumble, but that's just me.
You know, Zach Talander, he called me up and he put it into perspective.
He was really upset.
He was like, man, I just, just he's like it might sound really weird but he's like youtube is my whole life you know he's like i i
think about it all the time because i i'm a content creator i'm trying to create good content you know
how diligent zach is with like writing everything out and like he takes it to a completely different
level i love his style uh well i'll admit that uh admit that we're shotgunning a lot of stuff over here and we're making
shit up on the fly and kind of hoping that it works out.
Sometimes it does.
Sometimes it doesn't.
But Zach put it into,
you know,
some really good perspective.
He's like,
you know,
the impact that you guys have had and the impact of,
you know,
all the videos and all the different stuff that I've watched, you know, he was like, it was inspiring to me, you know, and to get my
channel started and to do a lot of the stuff that I'm doing. And then he kind of almost like gave me
like this speech, you know, it wasn't like, it wasn't too much of like a freedom of speech,
speech, but it was a little bit in that, in that context. And it was just saying like how much
YouTube's meant to him.
And that's when it dawned on me. I'm like, all my information comes from YouTube. All of it.
Almost everything that I know comes from YouTube. Whenever someone mentions a book or when somebody
mentions a person, I'm like, yep, I know who that is because of YouTube. Whether it's a nutrition
person or whether it's a lifter or a bodybuilder or whatever. I mean, yeah, there's Instagram,
there's other platforms. But if I go and I look at even say like Lane Norton, we obviously we've
known Lane Norton for a long time, but just using his as an example, if I see some of his work on Instagram, what's the next level?
YouTube.
Next level is YouTube. Go right to YouTube. And now I get to listen to him talk for a lot longer.
And I would say that I think if it wasn't for YouTube, I don't think like I probably would
have never been on Joe Rogan because I probably wouldn't even really listen to Joe Rogan,
even though Joe Rogan's amazing.
Like that was incredible.
But I didn't find him through like Spotify or through some other app.
I found him on YouTube.
And I know that he, you know, left YouTube.
And now there's like some clips of him on there and stuff.
But like it's been a huge impact on me.
And also it's a timestamp in a way for my family, for making certain posts.
I don't really do a lot of that stuff anymore.
My children are older, and they didn't sign up for any of the stuff that I signed up for.
So I don't make them part of stuff like that because I don't think it's fair to them.
That's my view as a dad.
But when they were younger, you know,
it's like they're too cute to not like film.
Or don't see these kids.
Yes.
Or sometimes, you know,
Quinn would like fucking climb around
and be like in the background or be in the video.
You know, she's grabbing the camera or whatever.
And, you know, Jake would be in the background
of some of this stuff sometimes too.
And it was just sort of, it was sort of part of it, but you kind of like almost
timestamp some of these, uh, memories. Um, and they're like encapsulated on some of these forms
of social media. And for me, it was YouTube. Yeah. I, I, I guess I was thinking about saying
this and then I'm like, wow, that is interesting. And it might sound kind of lame to a couple of people, but I don't go a day without checking in on YouTube, period.
It doesn't matter what day of the week.
I would say I'm the same.
Because whether it's to learn something or whether it's to research or whether it's to enjoy something, I'm going to watch it on YouTube almost.
Yeah, I don't think I go a day without YouTube.
And to see our channel get taken down, it meant YouTube almost. Yeah. I don't think I go a day without YouTube and to see our channel
get taken down. It meant a lot. And I'm just grateful that we still, that we're back.
Thank you, Jorge. And then guys, uh, our discord groups, although the power project discord group
is in the description, amazing people in there, but like the amount of people that have gotten
benefit from like, number one, we've gotten a ton of huge benefit from the show. Like when I go back to some of the first episodes that I did with you guys, if you guys probably go
back to the first episodes you did, and then look at what you're doing now and where you are now,
a lot of that has come from the information that we've learned from countless guests that have
come into the podcast and changed our lives as long as they, along with changing the lives of
the listeners. So this podcast is like a library of massive amounts of information. Again, over
thousands of episodes, there are people who've done this podcast that are now dead.
You know, John Meadows isn't here anymore. Leon longevity isn't here. There's other people that
aren't here that gave us some amazing information. And the fact that that library was just gone for
a while. Now it's back. Thank you. And we're going to fucking make sure everything is saved.
But at the same time, it's, it's, it's a reference manual where a lot of people can say, hey, this episode on this nutrition thing,
send it to a friend that needs it. This episode here, send it to a friend that needs it.
It's a lot of education here. So, hey, join the discord. Thank you guys for continuing to rock
with us. And we're going to continue to bring more, but yes, we're back. Power Project family.
We talk about eating meat all the time on this podcast. Pause, pause. But sometimes you might But yes, we're back. beef on their website. Now, all you have to do is head to goodlifeproteins.com and you can select
build a box with all of the proteins that you want. Then you'll select subscribe and save to
save money on all of your meat. Pause. Enter code powerproject to save an extra 5% on any
subscription you select. So if you want to get your beef every two weeks, you'll be able to save
25% on all of your meat. Again, that's goodlifeproteins.com. Links are in the description
along with the podcast show notes. And you do make some money on YouTube, but I think that
maybe the amount of money that you make off of YouTube is probably exaggerated just because you
hear of like, you're like, this guy's a millionaire and that guy's a millionaire and that guy's a
millionaire. Usually people are millionaires for multiple reasons other than just their YouTube.
There are people that have completely crushed it on YouTube and have done an amazing job,
and they probably have made most of their income off of YouTube, but it's pretty rare.
And then also there's, you know, once you start to navigate YouTube and start to get pretty good at it,
at some point you're going to have to start paying some people.
So you're thinking like no overhead. You know, there's no overhead with YouTube. Well, yeah. I mean, I guess if you film yourself from like a distance and stuff like that,
and you can figure it out and you can, and SEMA has edited a lot of videos himself. I've edited
a lot of videos myself. I know Andrew has, we've all kind of played some of that game to a certain
extent, but at some point you kind of need to hire someone to start to film it and so on. But then, you know, it doesn't stop there.
There's thumbnails, there's titles, there's, um, so it's like, once you start to really think
about that stuff, that's when I thought about it more and I'm like, oh damn, like there's just so
many hours of just typing and copy and paste and waiting and
just sitting there staring at a blue screen all night long until your eyes are doing that thing
like uh they doing like cartoons where they're just like the eyes are just like ringing you know
and you're staring at that screen forever waiting for something to like upload or whatever or you're
trying to get something from your computer to your laptop
to the fucking internet or whatever,
you know, all this shit Andrew had to do.
Sometimes we're traveling
and he's trying to like upload something
while we're on the run or whatever.
It's just like, it's complicated.
So I think there's a lot of people that think,
some people might think we're like cry babies
or something like that.
And I wouldn't really disagree.
There is a lot like I,
we are very blessed to come here and do this every day.
Like this is ridiculous that this is even a job.
It's amazing.
I'm in awe of it.
It's fun.
And I'm not crying about it.
I think just what happened is just really unfortunate,
mainly for me because of how connected I am to YouTube.
And so it just felt unfair.
It felt like we just got like slighted.
But now everything seems to be good again.
Yeah.
I wouldn't trade anything for those pain in the ass nights of trying.
Well, I guess that sounded weird.
But for those tasks.
You got a pain in the ass night, huh?
Tasks that are a pain in the ass that's still not working. Difficult situations. Why is everything going to be in a pain in the ass night huh tasks that are a pain in the ass
that's still not working difficult situations why is everybody gonna be in a pain in the ass for you
i don't know maybe i'm into it right now okay but uh yeah no all those things right you're you're
struggling to finish whatever this video is it's not uploading to finish yep damn it you guys need
to watch out this is a serious moment. Pause. Pause.
What I'm getting at is, yes, I feel the same thing.
I was like, you know, fuck, dude, like I love this freaking opportunity to do this.
And then looking back at some of the times that we have been traveling where it's like, how the hell are we going to.
All right, cool. We're going to record this episode with Tom Segura.
And Mark just told me, yeah, let's ditch all the old equipment and use something you've never used before.
Sick.
All right.
How are we going to pull this off?
And stuff like that.
And then that was gone.
The final outcome was completely gone.
And so that stuff hurts, the thought of it.
Yes, I have backups.
I have everything backed up.
But it's just not the same.
You should have backed it up and why don't you go to Rumble?
Again, the coolest thing is I understand we're not promoting it but like we we are on rumble and yeah and nobody cared nobody goes there nobody goes to
rumble for a fitness podcast like that's just end of story it's all political stuff yeah um but
anyway yeah so everything is backed up and it could have done it again. Could have done it better even because I've gotten better since that time.
But at the same time, it's like that time capsule, like the timestamp is completely gone.
And so we would have to just move on and try to remember what it was like.
And now it's back and super grateful for it.
I'm pumped for the episodes we have coming out though.
There's some bangers.
Oh, yeah.
A lot of cool stuff.
There's some bangers. We've got A lot of cool stuff. There's some bangers.
We've got some good guests coming in this week as well.
I would say,
you know,
it was devastating to have that channel taken down,
but I did feel strongly that like we would get it back because it just
didn't seem,
it just didn't seem just,
it didn't seem to make any sense.
And so it seemed like it was just a matter of time.
And again, luckily we got Jorge. It's all about who you know. On the inside job, didn't seem to make any sense and so it seemed like it was just a matter of time and again
luckily we got Jorge it's all about who you know on the inside job there uh helping us but yeah if
we didn't have him uh we would be screwed and then um you don't know if people know this but like
there's multiple channels connected to the main you, the channels, I guess you'd say. And, uh, the super training
one was still there. And so like that one has, um, I don't know if has the most videos, but it's
just been there the longest. And so like, if that one got dinged and some of the other stuff on
there got dinged, I mean, that would have been all that much more devastating because those videos
have just been there forever. And I think a lot of those videos, even though the Power Project is something that has been cruising along really well,
I think a lot of those videos are how a lot of people remember me. Because there's some people
that have kind of come and gone. And there's some people that may have followed me years ago.
Because there's some people I even saw, like some of the comments were like, I haven't followed
Mark in a while, but like, this is crazy. This is wild. So I think even saw like some of the comments were like, I haven't followed Mark in a while, but like this is crazy.
This is wild.
So I think they've seen some of those videos that we did with Ed Cohn,
Stan Efferding and stuff in the old super training.
They were following me when I was fat and strong and back in those days.
And so that would have been all that much more devastating to have that deleted,
but that didn't happen.
So I was pretty grateful for that.
Yeah, it is really cool.
And this gets me super fired up
is we had a couple of comments come in that said like,
oh, I didn't know he still had a podcast.
And I'm like, oh my God, we have so much more to grow.
That's freaking cool.
I got DMs.
I got DMs from people saying the channel is still up.
I can go right to Super Training 06 right now.
And having to explain like,
no, dog, it's our podcast channel.
And so that's, I don't know,
that gets me excited because I'm like,
we're doing everything we can
and we still have so much far to go.
We're still getting started.
Hey, comment down below
who you want to see on the podcast this year
because we have a really good lineup
already. People that we already had and people on the
calendar. But if there's anybody that you really want to
see, comment that down below. Let us know. We'll get
them on here. And we ain't
stopping. When the Patreon's up also, we'll have
a link there too. I'm not too much
into the conspiracy stuff. I
think a lot of conspiratorial stuff
is fun.
But I don't... There's some people like they were posting and they're like, this is election year.
You see what's happening?
You know, people were just, you know, going crazy with their American flags and everything else.
Get on Rumble.
Yeah, I don't really subscribe to that.
But it is important that like if we are going to be censoring stuff in the future as we keep
moving along like what are we censoring and who censors it and uh i don't have answers for it like
i don't i don't know what to profess on that and i don't even know if there i don't think there's
like a person i don't think there's like a person that knows you know you'll hear joe rogan or some
other people they'll have some decent ideas surrounding it, but you're like, I don't know about that idea, or I don't know about
this idea. And I don't know if the president or the president of YouTube or the robots at YouTube,
I don't know if anyone is fit to figure that out. So I think we're going to see more stuff like this
happen, you know, over the course of this year and probably moving forward
we'll probably see more things happen like this and uh hopefully they'll have a resolution to it
the way that we were able to with this and hopefully something like this doesn't happen again
because it kind of sucked but it was kind of awesome drew up a lot of attention online that
was really cool strength is never a a weakness. Weakness is never strength.
Catch you guys later.
Bye.
