Werewolf Ambulance: A Horror Movie Comedy Podcast - Episode 412- Motel Hell (1980)

Episode Date: January 16, 2023

In this week's episode, we're concluding our siblings-running-a-farm rock block with the 1980 utterly bananas film "Motel Hell." Truly, the mind boggles. Special topics for your consideration include:... a fantastic tagline for a movie or a brand of smoked meats or really whatever you're promoting, the siren call of Rory Calhoun, terrible police work, absolutely baffling motivations, and the age old question of what did characters know and when did they know it? I'm putting this up there with a handful of my other favorite bizarre horror movies of the 1980s- Episode 35- "Neon Maniacs," Episode 140- "Killer Klowns from Outer Space," Episode 174- "Chopping Mall," and Episode 265- "Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-o-Rama." Starting point is 00:00:00 Wherewolf Ambulance. This is it. Wherewulf Ambulance. This is it. The greatest slogan for smoked meats I have ever heard. Farmer Vincent's Smoked Meats. This is it. The greatest slogan for smoked meats I have ever heard. Farmer Vincent smoked meats, this is it. It's something.
Starting point is 00:00:34 How are you, Alan? I'm all right, and how are you, my friend? Just fine. Good. Great. Good. Good. You want to eat some peeps? Do you want to want to what? Eat some peeps? Eat some peeps? thee! Only if you lie want to what? Eat some peeps? Eat some peeps? Yeah. Only if you lie and tell me it's ham. You wouldn't eat ham though either.
Starting point is 00:00:49 No, I wouldn't. No, you wouldn't. Probably people before I ate ham. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. They can choose whether or not to do it. nothing else. Yeah, loyal. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Katie, before we get going, were there any actors in this movie that you'd ever seen in anything else? Um, let me take a look, see here. Let
Starting point is 00:01:12 me think about this. Wolfman Jack. I did recognize. Okay. That's it. Okay. You. Wolfman, Jack, and John Ratsenberger. Who played Cliff Clberger who played Cliff Claven on Cheers and we have spoken about before. Yes we have spoken about him before. He was in the band right? Yes I haven't in the Terribles. Is that what they were called? I love that. Also John Ratsenberger was in an episode of Wings. Yes yeah well Wings is an offshoot of Cheers. Right yeah yeah same creators, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I believe they're in the same verse. Yeah, they exist, yeah.
Starting point is 00:01:48 Mm-hmm, uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh. So would you say at a place called Motel Hello? No. So this is Motel Hell, 1980. It takes place, at a place, at a place, that a place, that a place, that a place, that a place, that a place, that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that, that's that's that's that, that, that, that, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, that that that that that that place, that place, that place, that place, that place, that place, that place, that place, that place, that place, that place, that's that's that's that's to-a, to-a, to-a, to-a, that, that, that, that, that, that's, that's, that's that's that's that's the, the, motel hello but the O is burned out. Huge sign about smoked meats. Huge sign. People love smoked meat. People can't get enough of this smoked meat in particular. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. Isn't there like an uncle somebody in Pittsburgh that's- Uncle Charlie? He makes sausage. Sure. Yeah. I feel like that's an equivalent. Yeah. I mean, Uncle Charlie's is the best. Yeah, it's made with humans.
Starting point is 00:02:27 That would not stop me purchasing it. It's slander. I'm having a barbecue, I'm buying Uncle Charlie's. Oh yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 00:02:37 Yeah. Don't get fucking defensive about it. the proprietor of the motel hello. Yes, this is Vincent. Leaving the motel, turning on the full sign so nobody comes up to the motel. Yes. Which does not prevent anybody staying at the motel to come into the front desk to get something, but whatever. Right, there is a, yeah, there's a no vacancy sign, but the people, okay, go on. And he leaves with a shotgun to try and knock some, as I refer to the motorcycle officiannados off the highway. They, okay, so it's a man and a woman on a motorcycle. They have a side car but they're just using it as a trunk. I feel like if she'd been in the side car it probably would have gone even better for her. Because he wrecks their motorcycle with like a bear trap kind of thing. Yeah, okay. And loads them into the pickup truck and is
Starting point is 00:03:34 very excited to have a living woman. Yeah, but all the people are alive when he gets them, aren't they? Okay. So why Terry? Why does he, why does he bring her back to life and make her his, either girlfriend or long con? She's the, uh, blonde-haired, white, like, ingenue, I guess. There are several of them in this movie. Katie, I can't begin to parse the intellectual. Honestly. I know I have said, so many times times times times times times times times times times thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi that thi thi thi that thi that that that that that that thi thi thi that that that that that that that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi that's that's thi that's that's that's thi thi thi to parse the intellectual. Honestly, I know I have said so many times on the show that a movie is bananas. I've said it so many times that it lacks all meaning.
Starting point is 00:04:12 I genuinely regret the times I have said it about films before because this movie is fucking bananas. I don't understand it. I don't get it. It was wild. They set out to make a bat shit movie. Oh, they had to have. Yeah. Do you think that they set out to make a scary movie and then realized that it was just too bad shit? Maybe? Because there's a lot of humor in it. There is. There is. But uh But I feel there's just a lot of humor in movies of that time period anyway. Yeah, I guess. But yeah, I mean, because like, it's never scary. to differ. Oh, really?
Starting point is 00:04:56 I mean, if I were, as they say, sensitized, the bags on the ground, the burlap bags on the ground, wriggling and growling, would have gotten me. Okay. Yeah. I mean, I say that, and as I said before, like this box at the video store with the tagline, meat is meat and a man's got to eat. Like, for some reason, that disturbed me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me that disturbed me that disturbed me that disturbed me that disturbed me that disturbed me that disturbed me that disturbed me that disturbed me that disturbed me that disturbed me that disturbed me th me th me the th me the the the the the to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to be to be to be to be to be to be to their. The their, their, their, the the to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to be to be to to to be. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I to to to to to to the the the the. to the. to to the to to the the to the to the to to the to to to to the to to to to to the the tagline, meat is meat and a man's got to eat. Like, for some reason, that disturbed me on a profound level. Yeah. Because it's a very disturbing movie. Yeah, it is one of those things where it's like, it's a horror comedy and like when you take out the laugh, you're like, oh, God. Yes. We meet Ida, Vincent's sister, whose entire personality is eating. And overalls.
Starting point is 00:05:47 And overalls. Sure. I can't argue with that. She's bananas too. She is wild. So they are brothers and sisters running this motel. Yeah. And this farm. And he's also, what else is he doing? He's got smoking meat. He's got the meat smoking business, which seems to be their primary source of income.
Starting point is 00:06:15 A murder business on the side. Side murder business. He's an avid gardener. Yeah. They're, there's, oh my god, they're selling meat to this couple. Yeah. They're, they, there's, oh my God, they're selling meat to this couple. And the man says to him, Farmer Vincent, we'd love to continue to enjoy your meat. And you're like, what? Sir, what?
Starting point is 00:06:36 What? And they've got the, it's like the man and the woman who are basically like mask salespeople from Halloween 3. Yes, Marge Schottenberger or whatever. They have two kids that are running like pell-mell all over this thing. Two little blonde twins. Yeah. It dressed the same, very shining, creepy.
Starting point is 00:07:03 And so they run off and run into the smoke shack. One of them says I dare you to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the other the other th sa sa saa' thoes, thoes, thoes, thi, thoes, thoes, thoes, thoes, thoes, thoes, thoes, thoes, thiol. thiol, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the, the, the. the. the. I, tha. I's, tha. I's, tha. I'm, tha. It's, tha. It's, tha. they run off and run into the smoke shack. One of them says, I dare you to go in, and the other one says, dares go first, which I liked a lot. And while in there, Ida terrifies them by putting a butchered pig's head on her head and running at them. But even before that, it's gonna fuck up those kids being my grandfather used to make his own sausage okay in the basement of their house with a big old meat grinder and
Starting point is 00:07:28 there'd be links hanging everywhere and this heavy scent of raw pork just permeating the place it looked like a fucking horror movie sure and I see it in my nightmares yeah yeah those kids are fucked yeah anyway these another reason they're fucked is that their parents were basically trying to leave without them they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their th the the the the the the theeeeeeeeeea thea. thei thei thei theiii thea. thei theeeeee're fucked is that their parents were basically trying to leave without them. They were getting in the car. The kids were nowhere to be found. They're like five. That, uh, that smoked meat will knock you for a loop. You'll forget you had kids. You just want to head on home.
Starting point is 00:07:59 I guess. The 70s and 80s go to sleep. Smoke some cigarettes with the windows up. God, what a terrible time to be alive. What a terrible time to be a child. So the children are screaming, just screaming. They go into the car still screaming. And the parents like, calm down. Jesus fucking Christ. Shut your goddamn pie holes. And Vincent goes, I'll calm them down for you. Ah! And they they they in the fuck? And Rory Calhoun who's playing Vincent is like, he's an old western
Starting point is 00:08:35 actor. He's fantastic. And he's like six foot something and a hundred twenty-five pounds soaking wet. He's just a rail of a human being. Very angular. Yeah. Still very handsome as an older man as well? Eh, not handsome enough for Terry, don't want to fuck him, but okay. Terry begs to differ. So this man screams in the children's faces,
Starting point is 00:08:59 and the mom's like, thanks. I would literally slide tackle that man. Then you're gonna get a yellow card.. to go, to go, to go, to go, to go, to go, to go, to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to the the the the the the the the the the thean thean thean thean thean thean thean thean thean thean thean thean tackle that man. And then you're gonna get a yellow card because you're probably gonna go cleats up. Oh yeah, I'm not going for the ball. Oh, and then the health inspector shows up. Okay, first of all, first of all, no, he doesn't show up yet. Oh, no, I'm sorry. First's so much that happens before there. First we meet Bruce, the Trooper.
Starting point is 00:09:28 Oh, right, right, right. And there's this very majestic music about him, like he's an American hero. He's just a cop. Also, Bruce, I recognize because he was on chips. Oh, really? Okay, there you go. When he th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th tho, I tho, I tho, th Okay, there you go. When he shows up I thought he was Ada's boyfriend, but he's not, he's their other brother. And while he's there, Terry wakes up. Terry is the blonde woman.
Starting point is 00:09:54 And she's like, talking about her, she's been in an accident. She's like, where's Bob? If Bob's dead, why am I not at the hospital? And he's like, oh, I just buried him at Sunrise. And she's like, oh, okay. She goes, she goes, who gave you permission to bury him? And Bruce goes, ma'am, in this county, under extenuating circumstances, it's okay. And at that point I was like, okay, Bruce is in on it, right? Because that can't really be the law.
Starting point is 00:10:27 Canny? Helen. The cop said so. Okay. All right. Exactly. There are various points in this movie where you think that Bruce is in on it. Yes.
Starting point is 00:10:36 Yeah. But then other points where you know, theyre. they's not. like she's eight and must stay with a grown-up. Like, they're like, okay, well, she can stay here, you can take her, I'll take her, no, you don't, you're not gonna take her, she's gonna stay here. She's an adult. Not to keep bringing this film up, but this is very falling for Christmas. When they're just handing Lindsay Lohan off to falling for Christmas. Because I think it could be done. Six degrees of falling for Christmas. Yeah, I think we could do it for sure. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:07 Then the health inspector comes up. He's also named Bob. Well, the biker is named Boe, which is short for Boris. I'm sorry. She absolutely calls him Bob. Oh, 100% I'm not denying that. You can't just have two characters named Bob in the first five minutes of your film. Also this Bob looks like a bald George Santos. Did you notice that? He does. Oh man, not all heroes wear capes. Oh, I'm so into that guy right now. There's just like, there's certain things that he's done and I'm like, that's a bridge too far. Yeah. Like claiming the, the grandparents who survived the Holocaust heritage. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. tho. tho. tho. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. I thi thi thi's thi's thi. I thi. thi. thi. thi. thi, thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I'm not th. I'm not th. I'm not th. I'm not they they're not they're not they're not they're thi. I'm not they're thi. I'm not thi. I'm not th. I'm he's done and I'm like that's a bridge too far, like claiming the the grandparents who survived the Holocaust heritage, yeah. But like just lying about all of your education and job prerequisites is like that's brilliant.
Starting point is 00:11:54 My favorite thing that he has done is saying that his mother died in 9-11 and then oh my... Oh, shit! He said that in like 2, 2021. And then this year at Christmas he was like it's been five years to the day since we lost my mom. It's like how could you not remember lying about your mother dying in 9-11? That's a big whopper. That's a big one. Not to go too far down the rabbit hole, but I don't think the guy gives a fuck about what he said. Like as soon as he's, he's saying, he is either a pathological liar or just proving that politics is a fucking bullshit.
Starting point is 00:12:32 Oh boy, potentially both. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Do you think that's the one that's the one thatelling the truth about, that's not just his brother or something. Just asking. I mean, that would be a great lie too. Yeah. They're all great lies. Oh man. Just like, yeah, if he just ends up being like an Andy Kaufman stunt through this whole thing, it'll be fucking hilarious. It'll be worth it. Yeah. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Mm-hmm. So yeah, the health inspector shows up and uh, and he he the health. the health. the health. the health. the health. Yeah, the health. the health health health health. the health the health the health the health the health inspector shows up and he hears weird noises coming from the secret garden. It's like, yeah. But, like leaves and then comes back under like later on to investigate. Under cover of darkness, yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:17 After, because, uh, is that when he falls, he falls in a puddle? And then he comes back later, because he's like feels embarrassed by the falling in the puddle in front of a Vincent? Is that a thing that happens? Yeah, he falls on a mud puddle for sure. I thought it was Bruce that fell into a mud puddle, but maybe that happens later. Probably. There might actually be two falling in mud puddle. I mean if it works once. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. the. the. the. the. theea. thea. thea. thea. thea. thea. thea. thea. thea. thea. the. Bob falls in mud puddle. Got it. Oh boy, so he comes back later and investigates the secret garden.
Starting point is 00:13:50 Right. The subtitles of the movie say distant growling, but really it sounded kind of like a phaser too, where it was like, hoom, hoom, hoo, and it's such a gross noise. And this is cut in with scenes of Vincent talking to Terry and just being like, you're with us now and you live here and she's like, I love it. Like she's just believing it. She's just there now for the duration. She loves him.
Starting point is 00:14:15 His teeth are the best. Yes, he thinks he's teeth. He's got hypnotizing teeths. I guess so. But yes, so Bob goes to the secret garden. Yeah. What does he find? The burlap heads? Burlap heads moving around on the ground. And then he pulls off one of the burlop sacks. It's making this horrible sound. I was like don't fucking touch it Bob. Just made that sound. And we see that it's the biker fella. Bo. Bo. Oh my. Bo. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He's. He. He. He. He's. He. He's. He's. He's. He's. He's. He's. He's. He's. He's. He's the. He's the. He's the. He's the. He's the. He's the. He's the. the. the. the. the. the. the. He's the. He's the. And we see that it's the biker fella, Bow. Oh, my guy, Bo, Bob. And he's got a bandage on his throat and he's buried up to his neck. He's got a very gurgly head. It's so gurgly. And then Vincent here hits Bob with the shovel. Cut to you. He's got a, what do you, sorry I'm trying to suss, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, suss, I'm to, sorry, sorry, sorry, suss, I'm to, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, suss, I'm to, sorry, suss, I'm to, I'm to, so, I'm to, so, so, I'm, so, I'm, so, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. thi. th. th. th. thi. to, to, thi. to, to, to, to, to, sorry I'm trying to suss out my talk to text. Something like, would you like another spot check bomb?
Starting point is 00:15:07 Oh, that's right. Yeah. I forgot that he does love zingers. He's a zinger kind of guy. What do we cut to? We cut to Ivan in the terribles going down the highway. Ah, driving around with their bonn, thap, thap, tho, tho, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, tho, tho, tho, tho, I tho, I tho, I tho, I. tho, I. tho, I I. tho, I I. th. Oh, I I. Oh, I I. Oh, I. Oh, I. Oh, I. Oh, I. Oh, I. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I'm, thi. thi. I'm thi. that's, that's that's that's tog. that's that's that's that's that's thi. that's that's thri. thi.ines. It's very, very confusing. And like a van with a hammer and sickle on it. Because he's Ivan. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:27 One of them meets a cigarette, why he eat that cigarette? It's a marijuana cigarette. You don't eat them. It's real. It was currently burning. It was currently burning. When I was a kid, people ate mean, that was another three passes. One man's roach is another man's three passes. Also all their gear is on top their van, and I was like, that's just a recipe for losing
Starting point is 00:15:50 all your gear. Yep, absolutely. There are, to be fair, a lot of people in the van. There are, to be fair, a lot of people in the van. Yeah. Well, what happens to him, Alan? Vincent puts out more bear traps and they drive right into them. Because soon no one looks at a road that you're driving town. No. So they come in, I guess all of the people who were in the van are still alive. Yeah. So they draft, like it's a lot of people to keep track of for Vincent and I feel. They do have the line where they're turning around a corner where Vincent has laid the bear traps and they say we need to find a place to crash and then they crash and I was like oh movie oh you
Starting point is 00:16:32 tun-dun-dun-duh. I think there's only like five people in the van that's not too many. That's a lot for two people to keep track of. Not if you're a Ida and Vincent apparently they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're like thininininininininininininininin they're like like like like like like like like like like like like they're like like they're like they're like to keep track of. Not if you're I'd to in Vince it apparently. It's sure they are good at it and they're like reminiscing about the motivations are confusing yes to sell smoked meats but he's also saying like how important the traps are to him he says the way we had you lying on the side of the road next to the old Chevy we set on fire. I love it because it's like this is his artistic like expression. Yeah. And he's like I just really like that it gets it like gets my imagination going. I get to make up all these new traps. It's just like that's really sweet. It's
Starting point is 00:17:15 really sweet I guess. The work we're doing here will always be special as well as important. My guy, what? What? Well seemingly they're only taking out like Nairdewel's. So you've got the biker. Why is he because he's an old he? Is he a Nere do well because he's an old guy with a younger woman? Because Vincent I have news for you. I think just because he's a biker and their. their their bikeers are our bad news right? They were never just hobby bikers. Yeah. You had a side car. That doesn't feel very tough to me. That's all, go on.
Starting point is 00:17:48 Maybe it's filled with hammers and stuff to throw to people. It seemed to be filled with luggage. I like that my version of a bad guy is Mario and Donkey Kong. Yeah, I would be getting red-shed-oved, like-o, too, but I'd be fucking driving off the road all the time. Yeah, I would be getting red-shelled like over his business. Yeah. So, and he takes out, they take out the rock band, because they're bad news, it's a rock ban, smoke and marolina. And then, later on in the movie, they're they they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, their, the they're, their, their, their. their. their, their, their, their, their, the, the, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, the the the the the the the the th. the th. the, the, the, they're, they're, the. they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, their, their, their, their, promiscuous. Okay. And also, apparently, what a fuck animals?
Starting point is 00:18:25 We'll get to that. They are the weirdest fucking things in this movie. In a movie filled with weird things. I like when Ida visits the secret garden and she's just like tending her garden of people planted in the ground. Yes, they have this heck of a post-digger to get a whole-ass person in a hole. So they're bearing these people up to their necks and they're cutting their vocal cords. But they can still grumble.
Starting point is 00:18:49 Okay, got it. Yeah. You leave the grumble cords too. What is the purpose of planting them? What is the purposenels attached to their heads. Correct, and they're feeding the force feeding them. Yeah, to make them, it's basically, they're making them foie. What are they feeding them, do you think? I hope it's chunky bars.
Starting point is 00:19:14 Skittles? Yeah. Speaking of Skittles, I found my favorite things. Tell me. thing on Instagram, which is a hydraulic press like Instagram account, okay, where they just crush things. Okay. And they were crushing skittles, okay. And the press part had holes on the top of it, so when it hit them, extruded skiddle strings would shoot out of them. Sounds wonderful. Very exciting. Wonderful. I love that you're following a hydraulic press Instagram account, extremely on brand. I just like watching chick get smashed. That's fair enough.
Starting point is 00:19:49 They do a lot of Barbie dolls, they smash them. Okay. Yeah, this had a common. We cut to this like picnic scene with Vincent, Ida, Terry and Bruce. Oh my God. Terry is dressed and made up like it's her wedding. She's wearing like a long white, hippie sort of gown with like braids in her hair. While they're telling the story about smoking a dog, feeding it to their grandma, and then he punches his sister and she's like, I love you.
Starting point is 00:20:18 Dude, what? Because the sister is going to reveal that where the his special ingredient that makes his meat so tasty. And because she's saying it in front of Bruce, again, I'm like Bruce knows. Like why would this come up? How could Bruce not, first of all, not fucking know that they're doing it? I thought he was because he was saying in front of Terry. I'm sure it is.
Starting point is 00:20:37 Yeah, but it's really shocking. Yeah, but she was Bruce. Yeah, I guess so. Yeah, I guess you're right. I think Vincent is actually the only intelligent person in this movie. Yeah, might be. Well, luckily there's a romantic little canoe here. A little boat ride on the cement pond. And so Vincent and Ida are talking about it again. the the to. to. to. the to. to. to. the t. t. t. t. tary. tary. tary. tary. tary. tary. tary. tary. tary. tary. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, t. Yeah, t. Yeah, t. Yeah, t, t, t, t, t, tary. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, the. Yeah, the. Yeah, the. Yeah, the. Yeah, the. Yeah, t. Yeah, the. Yeah. Yeah. Vincent and Ida are talking about it again. She goes, somebody's got to take a little responsibility for the planet. And I was like, is this a sustainable farming thing? Like, what are you talking about? I think it's, uh, uh, worries about overpopulation. Oh. Right. They do bring that up at the end, that sort of fallacy of too many people not enough food.
Starting point is 00:21:26 Right, right. Well, that really got into the cultural... Up in the Zite-Gyst. Yeah. It's actually too much food waste is the problem. Yeah. Yeah, it's actually the problem is too big of a gap between the rich and the poor. What? What? Don't you you you you you you you you you you you you you you th you th you th you that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's th th that's that's that's that's that's that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's th. It th. It's th. It's th. It's thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi. that that the poor. What? What? Don't you start this communist shit on here? Don't you
Starting point is 00:21:46 take your comedy shit on here? It is me, Ivan and the Terribles. That's why you're always throwing hammers at me. Yeah, well I got the side car full of them. On my Corolla. How dope would that be a side car on my Corolla? You mean one on each side, one with sickles. I love that. I love that for me. What movie does Bruce ask Terry to go see with him? Oh, fuck, I don't remember. The Monster that Challenged the World? The Monster the Challenge the World. Is that a real movie?
Starting point is 00:22:14 I don't think so. Oh man, we should make it. Just like a monster who gets up in the morning and he, whatever life throws at me. A monster making it through life. A monster he's walking down the street and a truck rolls through a puddle and splashes him and he's just like, I'm still going about my day. I was too hot anyway. Take that world.
Starting point is 00:22:37 A monster makes lemonade. Yeah. Oh, I kind of love this. I think I'm gonna make an animated short about it as soon as I learn how to. You. You. I. I. I. I the the the the the the the th. I've th. I've th. I've th. I've th. I've th. I've th. I've th. I've th. I've th. I've this. I think I'm going to make an animated short about it as soon as I learn how to animate. You do animate. I've seen your animations. I have no time to do it. Well, yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:52 You learn, you need to learn how to make time. The monster who challenged the world. It's going to be my mongue. taken it as like an inspirational thing like he's like come on world give me what you got because it's not I'm the monster who attacked the world no monster who defeated the world it's the monster who was like hey you're not gonna take me down yeah challenge you ain't nothing gonna break up my stride yeah yeah yeah yeah oh no got to keep on moving to to try to try to the to the to the to the to the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the to to to to to to to to to to to to the the the to to to to to to to to to to to to the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the tooooooo too too to to to the the God, I gotta get the rights to that song for my movie. Uh, if you're Christopher Cross, get in touch. You guys know Christopher Cross, reach out. No, that's Chris Cross.
Starting point is 00:23:33 Come on, everybody. Yeah, there's only one of them. Yeah. There's only one of them. It's true. By Chris. So Bruce takes her to Lovers Lane where they can watch the movie at a distance. There's people at Lover's Lane that are just butt naked fucking in the grass? Yes, a woman stands up just boobs out and then she turns and it's full-fronty.
Starting point is 00:23:57 Oh wait. Thank you, Katie. I like if I the little live-action tittyiddy bill just means later we'll get to it. Yeah. Yeah, I mean it's full funny for everybody, right? Like you see the dude, too. He's just ruining these people's nights. And Terry loves it. She's eating it up.
Starting point is 00:24:17 So she loves a man who punches his sister and she loves the idea of ruining people's fun. Yeah, it doesn't. And he's putting in the moves the moves the moves the moves the moves the moves the moves the moves the moves the moves the moves the moves the moves the moves the moves the moves the moves the moves the moves the moves the moves the moves the moves the moves the idea of ruining people's fun. Yeah, it doesn't. And he's putting the moves on her. And I was like, oh, he's old enough to be her dad's boss. And then he stops putting the moves on her. It becomes a sex pest. Yes, he goes to assault her. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:37 Yeah. And she's, they hear someone scream. Yeah. And she's like, oh, someone's in trouble. And it's like, oh, actually, it's Terry. Terry, it's you who is in trouble. But in the Grand Pantheon of 80s, rapy-ass movies, this is just like a Tuesday. Yeah, it's a Tuesday.
Starting point is 00:24:58 So they they take off to go find out who's in trouble. Oh right, it comes in over the radio. Yeah. Because we've also seen a scene in between these where there are two girls driving down the road and they see cows in the road. And one of them gets out and she's like, they look fake. They're cardboard. They look fake. With silver reflective eyes. Yeah. Yeah. Like, I don't know. I, I there. There there. There there there. T there there there there there. T there there there the there. T there there there there there there there are there are there are there are there are there are there are there are there are there are there are there are there are there are there are there are there are there are there are there are there are there are there are there are there are there are there are there are there are there are there are there are there are there are there are there are there are there are there are there are there are there are there are there are there are there are there are they are they are they are they are they are they are they are they are they are they are they are they are they are they are they are they are they are they are they are their their th. I. I th. I tho. I to to to to to to to to to to tho. They are tho. They are their their they are they are they are so clearly, they look fake. With silver reflective eyes. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:27 Like, I don't know. Also, like just, one of them calls the other one chicken shit. And I was like, yes, be chicken shit. It's obviously a trap. Just slowly drive through and nudge them out of the way. Right, like you would with a cow. So while they're trying to take down the, or while one of them is taking down the cow props. Vincent pops up in a gas mask from behind one of them, very fucking terrifying, even though you know he's there, you know it's a trap. It's very good. Very good. And he gasses her and then pushes the car into the lake.
Starting point is 00:26:07 And she's wearing the greatest 80s pink leggings of that shiny material. I'm really a big fan. But first, the one, the other girl is driving the car. Why does she have a radio? Is that a thing cars had that you could just talk to the cops the cops the cops the cops the cops the cops the cops, the cops, the cops, the cops, the cops, the cops, the cops, the cops, the cops, the cops, the cops, the cops, the cops, the cops, the cops, the cops, the cops, the cops, the cops, the cops, the cops, the the the the the the thogk, the the thi, the thi, the the thi, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, they.a, they.a, they.a, they, they.a, they.a, th thanks, thanks, thanks, thanks, thanks, thanks, thanks, thanks, thanks, thanks, thanks, their, their, their, their, their, talk to the cops on a radio? Yeah, everybody had CBs back in the day. No, but you could just get a cop on them? Yeah, you just have to go to the channel where the cops are, for sure. In regular people cars? Yeah. Not just trucks? No, there was like emergency channels and stuff, yeah, yeah. How about that? I bet my parents definitely had a CB in the car. I thought CB stood for citizens banned. So why did they have them in their car? They're not banned from it. Oh my god.
Starting point is 00:26:50 Wow, homonyms, how are you doing? It's just a thing I never really thought about until now. I think I thought about as a kid. Yeah, citizens are banned from using this. No, that's, no, it's it's the band for citizens. I thought it was just institutional use only. Oh. th. th. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, thi. thi. thi. thi. thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi. thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, the the the the the the they, their, their, their, their, their, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, the th. Oh, the the thi. Oh, the thi. Oh, thi. Oh, thi. Oh, thi. Oh, the the. Oh, theeee. Oh, theee. Oh, thee. Oh, the the the the the the the the the. Oh, the the. I thought it was just institutional use only, you know? Oh my God, I feel like I just had a, what my friends would call a raisins are just dried grapes moment because several years ago our friend Elliot found out that raisins were just dried grapes and it blew his mind. This is me having my cheap trick realization. What's that?
Starting point is 00:27:23 That cheap trick is a cheap sex worker. Yeah. And just being like, oh, oh, oh. That's not kind and you guys are really upbeat for what that is, you know. Anyway why does she fall over while she's driving? She just falls over. He like hits the back of her car and she just goes, uh, you might not know this about a woman. But if you hit the bumper of their car, all women have an off switch. Oh, good to know. Good to know and all so bad to know,
Starting point is 00:27:50 because I hope I don't get rear-end. Yeah, exactly. Yeah. I think the thing about women really in the 70s and 80s is that their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their legs is No, no, no, no, there's no running away from anything. You get seven steps before you fall, if you're lucky. If you're lucky. If you don't get rear-ended. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:10 Yeah. So then he pushes the car into the lake. Yes. Or pond? I don't know because Bruce later says he found over 200 cars, and I was like, how? We see an aerial view of the lake, the th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, the, th, th, th, the, th, th, thi, thi, thi, the, thi, thi, thi, the, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, th and th and thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, th. th. th. th. to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to to, to, toe, toe, th. thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, toe?ean, toean, toean, toean, toean, toean, toean, toean, toe? Yeah, toe? Yeah, toe, toe while they're rowing on it. You think it's a seamat pond that he's pushing stuff into? I have no fucking idea, Alan. I have no fucking idea.
Starting point is 00:28:31 I think there's more than one body of water in the area. I would hope so because 200 cars is a lot of cars. It's like an ocean full cars. That's a ocean of cars. They find a hundred cars? 100 cars. They're looking where one. Found 100. What are you people doing?
Starting point is 00:28:48 It had to have been like a mob pushing off point. It had to have been. Dear Mafia, moving around people. They were all from like the 70s and 80s though. The cars were all really old, yeah. Okay. You sure they just weren't aged by the water? Yes, they went to having roll up windows and push down locks and. Ash trays? Ash trays.
Starting point is 00:29:11 I still have an ashtray and a cigarette later in my car. It's pretty dope. Yeah, cigarette later doesn't work, but. Oh man. Yeah. Yeah. the sheriff is trying to hunt him down but his car gets stuck because he's an idiot. Yes, and he is trying to push it and falls into the mud and you're very
Starting point is 00:29:33 glad he falls into the mud. It's not enough punishment for what he tries to do to Terry but it's funny the car should have backed over it as well. Yes, I'll cut to the hotel and new guests are arriving. I'm sorry, yes, the motel, forgive me, right, holiday in. New guests are arriving and they got the information from a Swinger's catalog. Which I didn't quite see, I rewound it to look at it because I was like, what is happening in this interaction?
Starting point is 00:30:01 What do these people want? Yeah. They ever tell you about the time that this house that I lived in in Delaware, we got mail one day and it was to a Kenneth Seward. Okay. Was the first and it was addressed to so we opened it. Of course. That's not a federal offense. It was a Swinger's ad that was just filled with Xeroxed copies of naked women's photographs, obviously out of porn magazines. But you could contact these women instead of dates.
Starting point is 00:30:33 Not at all, scam. Not at all. They're not going to take your wallet and leave you tied up in a motel. So if you're Kenneth Seward, I apologize for opening your mail in 1996. Do you remember those phone sex catalogs? I used to get at my old house where it was just tiddy, tiddy picks all over the place? And you could just call these 900 numbers? Every time one would show up, I'd like excitedly rip into the envelope. I had like 30 of them by the time I moved out.
Starting point is 00:31:03 I miss the ads in the back back back back back back back back back back back back back back back back back back back back back back back back back back back the ads in the the the. I miss the ads in the back of the Philadelphia city paper that were for escorts. That would say things like no Greek. And I'd just be like, what is Greek? It's butt stuff. It's butt stuff. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:17 City paper, all weeklies. You used to have better ads. More ads about not doing butt stuff, please. So yes, this couple believes that this is a swinger situation. They get their eyes on Vincent and Ida and they're like, cannot wait to fuck you. They're a little put off at first, but then when they're like, yes, we swing too, they're like, hell yeah. And then they see Terry and they're like, oh, bring your daughter and you're like,
Starting point is 00:31:45 it's not my daughter. Yes, these people want to fuck her dad and they want her to fuck her dad. When we cut back to them in their room, the woman is doing this like whip and kick routine, which is really something. And we've seen Wolfman Jack on the TV. Yes, he's a preacher. Asking for money. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. She's, she's just going wild with her whip. She's going wild with her whip. The guy comes stumbling out of the bathroom with like, I think a dog collar on. And a strapless bra. Strapless bra and a strapless bra. No one wants to wear a strapless bra. Yeah. But like a onesy underneath the two-two-two-two and the strapless bra. Yeah. Yeah. But. Yeah. But. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. the. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. the. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. the. Yeah. the. the. the. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the t. tou. tou. tou. too. too. too. too. too. too. too. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the tutu and the strapless bra. It's like they just didn't get any of it right. No. They talk about wanting to fucking animal? Yeah do you think they'll bring animals? I hope so. What the fuck? What the fuck? That's not what swinging is. I don't think? It's not being an all-inclusive pervert. It's not just
Starting point is 00:32:42 closing your eyes and putting your dick into something is it? Could be a wood shipper you don't know. So fucking weird. Mims the brakes. Mems the breaks. I mean really. So the Ida and Vincent come in with a rope around their neck and they're like oh you're gonna tie us up. Yes and they do. And then they've got laughing gas. Oh it doesn't smell like laughing gas. It's a different kind of laughing. You smell it, we do the laughing. Yes, they've hog-tied them at this point. It's terrible, just terrible. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. So then Vincent's gonna teach Terry the art of smoking meat. She I genuinely don't know what's going on in her head because she's in love with this life, she loves it out here in the country, and god damn it, she loves Vincent. She is ready, steady, go. She's just ready to rock and roll.
Starting point is 00:33:34 Something's wrong with her. She was in a car. She's probably had concussed. I have had concussions, sir, many of them and I'm, one, mostly okay. Two, did not fall in love with an old man who was lightly keeping me hostage. So, yeah, so Terry wanders into the smoking hut. And there's like a really gross toenail in one of the vats. Oh, that I was like blowing down. And then she starts talking to herail in one of the vats. Then I just like blowing down. And then she starts talking to her about tubin, going tubin.
Starting point is 00:34:10 You never been tubing. What is this scene? Ida is in like a 1920s bathing costume and Terry's in a white t-shirt and that's what they're swimming in. And then I just got a, like a box cutter. A box cutter. And she she she she she she she she she she she she she she she she she she she she she she she she she she she she she she she she she, that she, that she, that she, that she, that she, that she, that she, that she, that she, that she, that she, that she, that she, that she, that she, that she's, that she, that she's, that she's, that she's, that she she she she she she's, that she she she she she she she's, that she she she she, that she, that she, that she, that she, that she, that she, that she, that she, that she, that she, that she, that she, that she, that she, that she, that she, that she, that she, that she, that she, that she, that she, that she, that she's, that she's, that she's I just got a, like a, a box cutter. A box cutter. And you think she's gonna pop Terry's, or Tyre's tube because both of them has said they can't swim.
Starting point is 00:34:34 Idiots. And then she pops her own tube and tries drowning Terry. But Terry is saved by Vincent once again. Right. I want to be clear that I don't think the people who can't swim are idiots. I think the people who can't swim who then float around in a body of water might be idiots. Yeah, yeah, they might be. That's my new band, they might be idiots. When she wakes up, she's naked. Why is she naked?
Starting point is 00:35:01 Because she was swimming. Oh, yeah. I was like, thak, thak, tha tha tha tha, tha, tha, tha, tha, tha, tha, thi thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thiiaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. thi. thi. Oh, yeah. I was like, is she naked under that blanket? Is she stroking his hand? Why is she doing this? She puts his hand right on her titty. Is she really horny for Vincent? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Gross. She's DTV.
Starting point is 00:35:19 Yeah, all of a sudden you're like, ugh. And he says we should be married first. Cover yourself up, this is indecent, we should be married first. And her logic leap. Are you proposing to me? Ay, ay, ay. Ay, ay. Terry. So, Vincent goes to Wolfman Jack. Oh my God.
Starting point is 00:35:46 And he's like, hey, well, you conduct this wedding tomorrow? Wolfman Jack's like, yeah, I'm all over it. What else? Wolfman Jack has nothing else to do. He comes outside and Bruce is in the cop car reading hustler, reading hustler. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:59 And he says, give it to me so that I can properly destroy it. And then he's reading Hustler. Because we all know that porn releases demons. Oh no, no, no, no. I'll tell you what, Terry's fucked up. How so? Well, it's like she says to, because Bruce confronts her, he says to, because Bruce confronts her. What is she doing when he confronts her? I don't remember. She's in the bathtub, naked.
Starting point is 00:36:25 She is naked in the bathtub. From the time she gets, has the accent or the incident in the water until like basically the end of the movie, she has no clothes on for the rest of the movie. It's wild. Yeah. Because even after that, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they're, they're, they're, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their. From their. From. From. From. From. From. From. From. From. From. From. From. From. From. From. From. From. From. From. From. From. From. From. She, she, she, she, she, she, she, she, she, she, she, she. From. She. She. She. She. She. She, she, she, she, she, she, she, she's, she's th. She. She's th. She's their, she gets, she gets, she's their, she's their, she's their, she's their, she's their, their, their, their. their. From. From their. From. From. From. From. don't know. Okay. Oh when they're there's like celebrating their nuptials, yeah! Champagne and she's just in a towel. With his siblings. And Bruce is like getting confrontational with her about it and she's like he's
Starting point is 00:36:53 gonna be my old man. I was like, hey he's gonna be your old man all right. What are you fucking talking about? You're 19? Yeah I mean it's not unheard of. Uh, Anna Nicole Smith fell in love with that older gentleman. Well, he fell in love with her. Okay. Yeah. And then wooed her. Yeah. And then wooed her. Yeah. And then. And then wooded. Yeah. And then wooed her. Yeah. Oh, no. noo. to take. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, thrown. Yeah. Oh, thi. Yeah. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. th. th. th. th. the. th. th.. Poor Anna Nicole. So I'm misunderstood. Awful. Yeah. Well, maybe this is the same situation that Terry's in. I'm gonna be, no. I think no. No, who can say we've not seen a film setting up their relationship up until this point. No, no, certainly not. So yes, she's in a towel. They're celebrating their nuptials and I eat up poisons her. Yeah, she gives her the green champagne champagne. the green. C champagne. Yeah. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She's. She's. She. She's. She's. She's. She's. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's the. She's the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the gives her the green champagne. Why does she do that? Oh, they have to knock her out so that they can take care of the meat smoking that needs to happen. But the question I have is, haven't they been doing that every night or many nights since she's been there? Katie? Yeah. That's all I have. Yeah. They just need to knock her out. Yeah. Bruce really didn't know they were doing this, it seems like. Who knows?
Starting point is 00:38:08 Oh, kidoke. Here's where I have the note, I'm watching this on Pluto, and it's taking twice as long. When will I learn to just rent the fucking thing? I rented it on Amazon and then installed a Google Chrome extension that allows you to change the the the the speed the speed the speed the speed the speed the speed the speed the speed the speed the speed the speed the speed the speed the speed the speed the the the the the the the the the the the that allows you to change the speed of videos and I watched it at 1.5 speed. Katie! I win. You lunatic. I'm tired Alan I need to go to bed. Oh man. I don't think I lost anything in it really. I'm keeping up up aren't I? You are you doing great I would have never known. Do you in my job. So, uh, uh. So anything in it really. I'm keeping up, aren't I? You are, you're doing great. I would have never known. Doing my job. So Bruce does some snooping, finds the motorcycle with the tire all fucked up.
Starting point is 00:38:53 Yes, he seems stunned. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And he's like going to take this evidence to Terry to win her after he tried to rape her, but it's okay because they end up together in the end. Jesus H Christ. So, talk to me about the light show that Vincent and Ida put on for Ivan and the Terribles. So weird, they do this hypnotism scene. Yeah, radical hypno high. Yeah, they talk to them about astral projection. It feels very, clockwork orange in a lot of ways. And then all of a sudden there's nooses
Starting point is 00:39:26 that they tie around their necks into the back of the tractor. Tractor. Yeah. And they break their necks with them. And pull them on out. So this is just the artistry, the imagination that he's using to do these kills. I don't know if meat tastes tastes tastes tastes tastes tastes tastes tasks tasks meats the meat tastes tastes tastes the meat tastes better when it's astral projecting. Well you can't, it can't be scared. Yeah, that's what I understand. Yeah, yeah, yeah, because then it'll release all the adrenaline to ruin the meat. That can't possibly be
Starting point is 00:39:51 true. I believe it is. Oh really? Yeah. I'd be fucking scared if I was a cow about to get a bolt in my head. Yeah, that's why they have to, that's that's why that's why that's why that's why that's why that's why that's why that's why that's why that's why that's why that's why that's why that's why that's why that's why that's why that's why that's why that's why that's why that's why that's why that's why the the that's why that's why that's why that's why the that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the they. they. they. they. the that's why. the that's why the that's why. that's why that's why they. that compresses cows that like comforts them right before they're put to death. Oh. Like a thunder shirt? Kind of. People are screaming her name at me right now and I can't think of it. Anyway, she was comforted by the like squeezing of a heavy blanket or something like that and thought that they might be as well. So they did all the science and she figured out that they figured out th th th th th th th th th th th the the the the their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their th. the. the. the. the. theat. teat. teat. teat. tea. theat. theat. theat. theat. their their their their or something like that and thought that they might be as well. So they did all this science and she figured out that they like this would help them as they're going to be slaughtered yeah. Temple Grandin. Yes. Okay. Yeah, thanks. There was a movie about her their starring Claire Danes. I have not seen that about her making the thunder shirt for cows. Yeah I think they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they're they they they they they they they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they th. Yeah, th not seen that. About her making the thunder shirt for cows? Yeah, I think just about her life. And when she was at the Oscars for it,
Starting point is 00:40:49 and every time someone got announced, she stood up and it was great. Why did she just give them like a standing ovation? Or just because she was just like excited. Like, she was on the spectrum. I see. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, okay, good for her. Yeah, it was pretty great. Sounds like a nice day. Yeah, exactly. I haven't had a day that nice in a while. But yeah, I think there's something, I thought it was adrenaline getting released into the meat that ruins it.
Starting point is 00:41:12 Fuckin' man, I don't know. Yeah, I don't know. I don't eat me. I don't know know know k these, this band, but Ida needs a snack break. Her entire personality is eating. It's very just, I don't get her. I don't know. She's great. She's eating with her like rubber gloves on that she was using while disemboweling these people, which is also absolutely upsetting. And the smoked meat is, when he's wheeling out just the charred torso of a human being. But, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, I, I, but, I, I, I, I, th, but, I, I, I, I, th, I, I, but, th, but I thi, I the, but I need, I need, but I need, but I need, but I need, but I need, but I need, but I need, but I, but I, but I, but I, but I, but I, but I, but I, but I, but I, but I, but I, but I, but I, but I, but I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the thiiiii the the the the the the the the the thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii people, which is also absolutely upsetting. And the smoked meat is when he's wheeling out just the charred torso of a human being, it like taken off like knife pulls from the meat, and me like, well, it's really good, really tasty.
Starting point is 00:41:54 She's like, can I have some and he's like, no, but he's been eating it and that ma'am. So she's going to go inside to get something something something something their something their their th. And that. And th. And th. And their. And th. And th. th. their. their th. th. their their th. th. their their th. th. th. th. th. thaa. their their their torou torou-a' their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their tor. tor. tor. tor. tor. tor. tor. tor. tor. tor. tor. torou. torou. torou. torou. torou. torea. torea. torea. torea. torea. tor. tor. tor. tor. tor. to eat. As a perpetually hungry person, I find that to be very rude. Yeah, for sure. Not sharing your snacks? Oh, give me that fucking snack. Oh, you're having goldfish in front of me, are you? And you have some of those goldfish. you have some goldfish. I call it taxes. I call it taxes.
Starting point is 00:42:13 Yeah, theyrific with the standard. Okay. Just cheese. Your standard issue goldfish? Standard issue goldfish. You know what I had recently, speaking of snacks, that I thought I was gonna love, but actually tasted a bit like vomit, but then I ate the whole bag anyway. Pizza combos. Oh, I haven't had those in years. Not good, Alan. tastes like you just threw up, but I ate the whole fucking bag. Sure. Oh my God. It's salt and cheese. How are you not going to eat the whole thing?
Starting point is 00:42:47 It's not cheese, is it? It's, well it's C-H-E-Z. There you go. C-H-I-E-S. I, E-S. Aida catches Terry, so Bruce brings his evidence to Terry and she believes it and she's like ready to kind of check it out and go. So Ida catches on to her and says it's time for your lesson, honey, we're going to teach you the finer points of meat smoking, which is a threat I don't necessarily understand.
Starting point is 00:43:20 I think murder, I think murder is the finer point of meat smoking. Okay, okay. So when he said it to her earlier that he was going to teach her about meat smoking, what did that mean? Well, that wasn't the finer point. That was just that, yeah. Do you think he was just going to reveal to her that he was a madman? Eventually. Yes, yes, yes, yes. Because he was going to make in love, Katie. Love is possible, right? We don't deserve the possible. So, meanwhile, back at the Secret Garden, Bo? Bo Boris?
Starting point is 00:43:54 Bo Boris has freed himself somehow? And then liberated the others. Yes, I love this. And then it's like a zombie movie briefly. I appreciate that Ida is not fearful at all. She is certain she can take on all of the others. Yes, I love this. And then it's like a zombie movie briefly. I appreciate that Ida is not fearful at all. She is certain she can take on all of these zombies. Yes. She can not. God she rules. Yeah. She does. She's terrible and she rules. Oh man. I do love that Vincent refers to it as his secret garden. Yes, it's spooky. So yeah, now we get into the too many people not enough
Starting point is 00:44:26 food misunderstanding and Terry is yelling at Vincent and she's about to leave with Bruce and he yells he's the biggest cannibal in the whole county! The biggest cannibal in the whole county which is the finest line in this film. Oh my God, it's so funny. So when Boris gets thrown into the smoker, which I thought was a very funny way to kill somebody. Yeah, I called him Bob one, but yes. And then Bruce wakes up for being knocked out by Ida, grabs a shotgun, runs the smokehouse. Yeah. Yeah. the the whole county. Yeah. the whole county. the the whole. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. the whole. the whole. the whole. the whole. the whole. the whole. the whole. the whole. the whole. the whole. the whole. the whole. the whole. the whole. the whole. the whole. the whole. the whole. the whole. the whole. the whole. the whole. the whole. the whole. the whole. the whole. the whole. the whole. the whole. the whole. the whole. the whole. the whole. the whole. the whole. the whole. the whole. the whole. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. Ida, grabs a shotgun, runs the smokehouse,
Starting point is 00:45:07 Vincent's there wearing a pighead, with a chainsaw. With a chainsaw? There's a lot of parrying with a chainsaw. Because he can't get his pet chainsaw started, so he's just deflecting. Yes, somehow Bruce is at one point winning the chainsaw fight without a chainsaw? Amazing. That grinding sound that it makes makes makes me very uncomfortable. The chainsaw is hitting each other. Sure. And it goes on forever. It is a long chainsaw fight even at one and a half speed. Not the longest
Starting point is 00:45:38 chainsaw fight that we've encountered. Not the longest. I think that still goes to Texas Jainsaw Massacre too. I think so. Although the longest. I think that still goes to Texas Jainsaw Massacre too. I think so. Although the longest chainsaw goes to Mandy. It was a very long chainsaw. It was a very long chainsaw. Very long chainsaw. Very long chainsaw. theets. We have seen moved.
Starting point is 00:45:53 toovesa told to me. I mean,, I don't know. Also, this is a man wearing a pig's head hysterically laughing, swinging a chainsaw around, and you're like, this movie got terrifying. Less the whole time. The whole time. It's upsetting, and then it gets annoying, and then it gets upsetting again.
Starting point is 00:46:15 That's the rule of comedy. It is. So, finally, Bruce gets him a saw into Vincent's side. Yeah, it pins him against a wall with a saw. Gets him in the side, meet. Right. Yeah. And Vincent's like not too upset about this, and then gives a confession about a secret garden?
Starting point is 00:46:38 Yeah, he says, you can have the motel and the garden. What garden? The secret garden at the end of the dirt road. He's like, I need you to attend it it it to to to to to to to the to the the to the the the to the the the to the the to the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the tha saughea saughea sawawawawawawawawawawawawawawawawawawawawawawawawawawawawa.. With with garden at the end of the dirt road. He's like, I need you to tend it for me. It's like, I'm sorry, but Bruce has a job. And tending humans is not a job for him. Not a job for him. And then he says, he does his confession.
Starting point is 00:46:57 He says, my whole life has been a lie. I'm the biggest hypocrite of them all. I used preservatives. Hmm. Hmm. Yeah. Yeah. And then we hear I just, yeah. We hear Ida screaming. Yes, she's still alive, apparently. She's been buried in the secret garden. Yes. Upside down. Yes. And her legs roll up like the wicked witch from the West. Yes. And Bruce tells Terry that he's so glad he ran away from home when he was 11. I'm like you ran away from home at age 11 and became the sheriff and elected official. That's not normally the path an 11 year old runaway takes. No. And but he didn't. And you're still buds with your siblings. You're just stopping over for Breckie. Make a friend with his family. What is this world?
Starting point is 00:47:47 And then she's like, I'm gonna smooch you now. I like, I like you now. She sucks. She sucks. And then the movie ends with the O in Motel Hello exploding. I fucking loved it. Note 161, well done. Well done.
Starting point is 00:48:05 You want to rate this bad boy? I do. I want you to go foist. I loved it. I loved it. It's so stupid. I loved it at speed, one and half speed. I think it might have chafed me at one speed.
Starting point is 00:48:16 But it, no, it was really weird and bananas and funny and stupid. It was exactly the palette cleanser I needed after nope, honestly. I just want to have fun right now. I just want things to be fun right now. And this was very, very fun. So I'm going to give it the same score you gave Nope. An eight and a half. This movie took me for fucking ever to watch because I was scared of it as a kid. Yeah. So I think it was in my 30s the first time I saw this movie. Buddy.
Starting point is 00:48:49 Um, and it's a fucking delight. It's so silly. So good. It's so goofy. I mean, I think, like, do you know, like, do this terror vision, just for the swingers aspect of it. Terror vision? Yeah, yeah, have a swingers night? Yeah. Maybe invite your friends over for a swinger's night and then disappoint them with these two movies? I think any friend that I invite over for a swinger's night will be so fucking
Starting point is 00:49:15 relieved to not have to see me naked. Or wearing a strapolis bra, a unitar to, a their their th, a th, a th, a th, a th, a th, a th, and a tutu? But they would get to see your whip game, which I understand is on point. I mean, I'm working on my kicks. I could get my kicks a bit higher. There's no way that I wouldn't take my own fucking eyeball out with a whip. There's no way that I wouldn't have killed every being in my and every lamp. What are you going to rate this me and now I feel tempted to change my score to be higher than yours.
Starting point is 00:49:49 It feels important to me, but that's okay. I'll let you have it. It's fucking bananas. I think if you were a person who enjoys this type of movie, this is the type of movie you will enjoy. Starting point is 00:50:30 That is really our, that's our trifecta, isn't our 80s trifecta? Great. It's pretty perfect. Katie, do you know what else is perfect? Maybe we'll screen them at our birthday party. What's that? Maybe we'll screen them at our birthday party. How long until we forget about this birthday party idea? I mean, I probably won't. I'm probably really going to do it. Okay. Uh, Katie. You know what you will love?
Starting point is 00:50:56 A message from our delightful patron. Give me a message. This is from our friend Deege. Hi, Dege! Ah, what did they say? I like to think at some alternative universe, we could be fast friends. We already are.

A lot of cocaine? too cocaine with baboons. You're getting into tou of cocaine with baboons. If you made a movie of that, I'd watch it on Pecocock.
