Yeah, it's a plastic surgery resort, which has to exist now, huh? Because it's treated like sort of like, oh my god can you believe this back then? Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Keloids? It's a type of a scar. Yeah, it's a scar. It's like when you get the raised tissue, right? Yeah, yeah. It's like an excess of something in your like in your scar tissue. Heck of a name. Heck of a name for a clinic that's supposed to leave you unscarred. Unscarred. Well, it is run by Dr. Dan Keylor.

Dr. Dan. I fucking love Dr. Dan. I cannot get enough if his eyebrows. Dr. Dan and Murray, I feel like it's both been in other Cronorberg movies. Murray is Rollo in Shivers, which I loved his tha loved that movie. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Although I was out drinking with my friend Christina last weekend and she is currently reading this David Cronenberg book where he's going through all of his movies. Okay. And I kept saying, oh you got to see Slither's, it's so good.

And then like, yesterday I realized that it was Shivers and not slither's like I made a mistake and I feel stupid. Slither, also a good movie. Yeah, it's fine. But slither's isn't a real thing. No, no. Yeah. Anyway, I want to be the Colonel Sanders of Plastic Surgery. Sounds pretty good to me. Sounds pretty great, yeah.

So here's a question. Yeah. Dr. Dan, bit of an algo. He's very 70s Canada looking, very like Eugene Levy. Yeah, those brows. Yeah, yeah, everyone has super intense eyebrows. Question. Would you trust an ago-plastic surgeon? Sure. What are they supposed to do? Break their own face?

Yeah. They're supposed to have like a friend who's just as good as them who does it for them. Is this like when you go to a tattoo artist and they have no visible tattoos and you're like, no, no, no, no, mm-mm. I've never been tattooed by anybody who wasn't like head We cut to a family in a van bickering. And the child is just standing between the front seats. Dude, as a child of the 70s, Hondopi. God bless the 1970s, what the fuck. We used to ride around in my dad's work van. That had no seats in the back of it. So there was my mom in the driver's seat, and my sister and I and I and I and I and was probably so fun. Sure. Yeah. And I never fell. No. A little baby crying Alan.

It fell a tanker ship. He's like trying to turn this van around on this one lane road and the mom sees a motorcycle coming. This is Marilyn Chambers and her boyfriend Hart. Heart. For half the movie I was calling him Art. Sure, he was an art. And I do love that he's riding a Norton motorcycle with a Norton T-shirt on. He's a big fan of the brand.

And he's like, well, let's take the ambulance out. Okay, that's what I th. Certainly, but he says in the next scene that it's three hours to the nearest quote serious hospital, then why have an ambulance? We're kind of a joke hospital. Yes! Oh, it's so good. And then Bob, the dad from the car, I have the note Bob is beating off the fire. Oh good, you love that. Because he's hitting it with a blanket to put the fire out.

And he's got like he's had plastic surgery where his entire head is wrapped up, yeah except for his face is exposed but then there's a huge, very thick, like inches thick jaw bandage on. Right. Very weird. You think you wouldn't want to jostle that while the

bandages are still on? Yeah. And the woman who's spying with the binoculars has bandages under her eyes, but like a ton of masquera on at the same time. That's gonna affect that fucking wound. No wonder if people have to be at the resort, like you cannot take care of yourselves. No. They bring in Maryland Chambers, whose name is Rose. Yeah. And there's a man at the front desk in a silk robe with

John Waters' looking mothed teeth, which of course I love, who says something like, you think they could cover it with a sheet. And then he never appears again, and I love him. And I was like, man, I love Cronenberg's hatred of rich people. Yeah, he just hates them. But he's such a rich guy. Yeah, I mean, I'm sure that doesn't come across in his movie.

She's just putting a little eye shadow on her just for the day. Mm-hmm. Very weird. They're like, do some nurse stuff. What if I cutip her eyelids? I mean, I guess you'd have to to get the crusty's off. Right.

They mailed it back. Yeah. Because you can put it on like you could take thigh skin and if it's neutral you put on somebody's face because face skin. I think you can do that anyway. And then you put it inside their body because it's inside body. I don't think there's like I think that's pretty common. I think that's what a skin is. They take skin from one part of your body and put it on thigh skin on your face? Because they're different type of skins, your thigh feel your face, different things. I think they're fairly similar. He says, I can't remember what happened. Yeah. Then doctor's examining him, and he's the most hair suit human being that's ever existed. He's tip toe fur. But there's a lot of other things to notice in the scene too, which is that Dr. Dan keeps touching his wound, no gloves. Did doctors not wear gloves in the 70s because this one sure doesn't. We didn't figure out bacteria. No, no, it's like also just the same technology as the Civil War. In the're giving eye exams in there and the Da Vinci Vitruvian man which is doing with those medical stuff okay I need

numb from where he was attacked. Right, his arm and everything. They can't feel anything. They think he's had a stroke. Yeah. So they think he had a stroke sook. So they're going to send him to another hospital. Perhaps a serious one. A serious hospital.
