I'm Katie and I'm here in the front Alan, hi Alan. Hi Katie, we're just a little baby podcast. No, no, we're like getting ready to shit in a toilet. It's not even true. I'm walking. We're talking. Yeah, a little bit. Patty Duking it. What? They walk alike, they talk alike. Oh, God. It's also almost Halloween. So this is very important. So we selected a very important movie.
Starting point is 00:01:08 We did. No, it's 100% very important. I'm looking forward to this discussion of why it's so important. Halloween three. We're doing Halloween three. Season of the witch. May I, I have a question. Not to be confused the Nicholas Cage. Yes. Why is this called season of the w w we to to to to to to to to to to to to to the w wii. to to the w. to to the wi. the wi. to to to to the wi. to to to to to to to toe? toe? too? th. th. toe, to th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. tho. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toea. toea. toea. toea. toea. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. the. the Not to be confused, the Nicholas Cage film, Season of the Witch. Why is this called Season of the Witch?
Starting point is 00:01:26 What hath it to do with Seasons of Witches? At the end of the movie, when Tom Atkins, which is what his character will be known as, sure. Is confronting Connell Cochran. Yes. Connel Cochran is laying So the season of the witch is the season of Cono Cochran. I have no recollection of that.
Starting point is 00:01:50 This, okay, this movie, this is the only installment in the Halloween series that doesn't feature Michael Myers. And I had only ever seen it before as part of a Halloween marathon. So in watching it this time, I tried to sort of separate it from a Halloween marathon. Okay. So in watching it this time, I tried to sort of separate it from the Halloween universe. It just watches a standalone movie. A lot of people who reviewed this movie say that take the name away from it and you're going to enjoy the film more. It's a very enjoyable film.
Starting point is 00:02:18 Yeah. There are, I have so many questions. It's fucking nutbar. There's no, what, like, who wrote this and what were they doing? So it was written and directed by Tommy Lee Wallace, John Carpenter and Deborah Hill sort of have writing credits on it but probably didn't do too much with it, I don't think. Well, they should be ashamed if they did, in a lot of ways. So this was meant to be a break in the cycle.
Starting point is 00:02:41 Like after Halloween, they wanted to to to to to to their their their their their their their their their their the cycle. Like after Halloween, they wanted to do, they wanted to do a movie like this. They wanted to do like basically long form anthology. Like all the next Halloween movies were going to be around the holiday but have nothing to do with Michael Myers. Well, that didn't work out very well, did it? Because the second one is about Michael Myers. And it picks up where the first one leaves to, and it, and it, and it, and it, and it, and, and, the, to, to, to, to, to, the, to, the, to, to, the, the, to, the, to, the, the, the, to, the, to, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, basically, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, the, the, the the the the the the the the the the the the th, the th, th, th., thi., thi., thi., thi., thi., the the the they., basically, they., basically, they., the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the thi., basically, basically, basically, basically, basically,'m not, I like Halloween too and I'm not a huge fan of it. It's a little, I like how it picks up right where the first one leaves off. And so it's still just that movie, but it gets a little sloggy. Yeah, yeah, and it's a lot darker.
Starting point is 00:03:11 They're in the houseworked for the entire time. Yeah, it's ba, there's that real sweet scene where the break with that. They were like, they were like, that was good, let's try something dumber. Do you know what I mean? Well, they wanted to see if they could make this work. For sure, for sure, I get that. I guess they thought it wasn't working. Because I would love for there to be like every Halloween, we get a new movie that has to do with Halloween, and his Halloween times. I just I just have a lot of questions. Do you want me to do a quick summation of this film to get into it? That would be good. All right. So the film starts off with this guy running down a deserted road being chased by a car and he's running and he's holding this orange mask. I think it's in his waistband at the time when we first meet him. Where you keep your masks. Yeah. And he engages with these guys that sort of look like feds.
Starting point is 00:04:07 They're like just vaguely ugly guys in suits. Is what I would describe them as. Yeah, they all sort of look like a Paul McCartney's younger and not so handsome brother. Yeah, that's fair. He has some altercations with these guys. getting crushed by two cars seen. Getting crushed at like a mile and a half an hour. He's like staring at the car like he's trying to will it to go away. And then once he gets rid of the two feds that are chasing him,
Starting point is 00:04:33 he runs to a gas station where a very interesting looking, I'm always blown away by how this guy's looks. He just has this very strange, angular. I don't remember. The gas gas gas gas gas gas gas gas gas gas gas gas gas gas gas gas is is is very th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. that th. th. th. th. th. th. that that th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. He, th. He is, th. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He is is, th. He is just is just is just is just is just is just, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. He's th. He's just just just. He's just. He's just. He's just. He's't remember. The guest station is just very weird looking. Or interesting, weird is, yeah. It's interesting looking. So that guy takes the running man to the hospital where. When did Arnold get here?
Starting point is 00:04:55 I'm sorry. Didn't we derail that. That would have been great. I am Ben Johnson. Do you ever notice that? Arnold always plays characters named like John Kimball. Like, I- You are not American, sir. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:11 Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. This is where we meet Tom Atkins. He's a doctor and a deadbeat dad. He's a doctor and a deadbeat dad. He's, oh, I think we need to stop on him for a second. I love tom to him. This character is so weird.
Starting point is 00:05:25 He's just like, I guess that's his ex-wife, who is very frigid and very upset with him. He brings him these crappy masks for his kids to wear for Halloween. They look shitty. You're a doctor. You can do better. Do you recognize his wife? Uh, no, she's Annie the girl in the dress shirt. No I did not. I did not notice that at all. This movie makes a lot of references to the first Halloween. Oh sure. It's just John Carpenter. Wouldn't you? Yeah, I guess. Even the soundtrack does, yeah? So Tom Atkins, he's your drunk dad. He's drunk through the entire movie. The movie like really sets it up that he has a drinking problem. He's like he's a drunked the the the the the the the the he's a drinking the the he's a drinking the the the the the the the the the the the th. He's dr. He's dr. He's drinking. He's drinking. He's drinking. He's drinking th. He's dr- th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's is is is is is is is. He's is is. He's is is. He's is is is is is th. He's is is is is is is is is is is is a th. He's is is is is is is is is a th. He's is is is is is a th. He's a th. He's a th. He's a th. He's a th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the the the th. the the the the the t. the the the t. the the the the the t. the the the t. the the t. the thrown. thi. thi. th all. It's not like he's a slove doctor.
Starting point is 00:06:06 He's just like I'm your new dad to like the girl his dad died like come to daddy. I'm like I there's no- I knew come to daddy is gonna make an appearance. Well he looks like her father. And he's just like I'm your new boyfriend, you're my new wife. It was just really like they had no reason to like get together and they were just like, let's hump. I don't know. Yeah, have you seen John Carpenter's the fog? I have.
Starting point is 00:06:33 Where Tom Atkins and Jamie Lee Curtis hook up for no apparent reason? He's just like, I love that he's the sex symbol in a movie. He's like, I'm a thu Fuck yeah. Do it Tom Ackens. I guess. I am. I had a very John Carpenter weekend because I saw the midnight movie this past weekend at the manor was the thing. So I saw the thing. Most of the thing.
Starting point is 00:06:54 I did fall asleep during a portion of the third act. I'd gone there straight from a wedding. Oh, okay. And then I watched this on Sunday and I was like, what in the fuck? Yeah. Like, what year is this? 82. This is the same year as the thing. Yep. That's a high high and a low low I feel for John Carpenter. I know he didn't direct this, but. Right, right. Just wrote the music, I just wrote the music with Alan Hoaith. And produced it, and presumably wrote, and I'm, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the same, the same, the same, the same, the same, is, is, is, is the same, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is the same, is the same, is the same, is the same, is the same, is a. It. It. It's, the same. the same. the same. the same. the same. the same. the same. the same, the same, the same, the same, is the same, is the same, is the same, is, is, is a the music, it was all in name only. It was all to like just get him tagged on it. Like, you think? He was uncredited as a writer. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:27 It's like, I don't know. What? I don't know. That's just my theory. Because you know, he is doing the thing at this. The thing was probably in post production when the movie. We've met drunk dad, Dr. Tom Atkins, Dr. Well, shit, what's his real name? In the movie, Dr. Chalice. Dan Chalice.
Starting point is 00:07:47 I feel like I've never heard that before in my life. And I love that his love interest in this movie, she has a great last name. She's Ellie Grimbridge. Yeah, and then they meet a woman named Marge Gutman. She's like, I'm marge. th. th. th. th, I, I, I, I, th, th, th, I, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, well, well, well, th, well, well, well, well, th, th, th, th, th, well, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, th. th. th. th. th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th. that, that, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, toed, toed, toed, to to th meet a woman named Marge Gutman? She was like, I'm Marge, Marge, Marge Gutman. And I just lulled, like, I just lost it. Yeah, it's ridiculous. And I felt like they were having fun with it. I guess.
Starting point is 00:08:12 He just keeps being like, Miss Grimbridge. Miss Grimbridge? Like, what? That doesn't even. It's called. life for quite a bit of this movie. Yeah, it's champagne of beers, right? In the hospital, the aforementioned running man is there, he's like resting in a bed when one of the... They have kept the mask gripped in his hands this entire time. As we learn in Hellraiser, doctors give you whatever you came in with. Oh yeah, it's to see what you're gonna do. So yeah, he's gripping the mask and he's, and he at one point has pulled down Tom Atkins closer to him so you can hear him and it said something like, they're going to kill us all.
Starting point is 00:08:48 Yeah. Which is great, it's got a lot of portent. Sure. So, while he's laying in bed, one of the fed, Paul McCartney's comes in and kills him, and he killed him by ripping his nose bone, he's, he's like, he's a th......... th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. to, to, to, to, to, to, to. th. thi. to, thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. He's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's. He's. He's. He's. He's. He's. He's. He's. He's. He's. He's. He's. He's. He's. He's. He's. He's. He's. He's. He's. He's. th. th. th. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. toe. to. toe. toe. toe. toe. t toe. t t t toe. th. th. th. th. th I couldn't tell did it come out of his face? No, he just like broke it. Clunked it? Gross. And I was like, would that kill you? Who gives a shit? It's awesome. It looks really cool. Yeah. And then they catch him, he and a nurse, or I guess a nurse sees the guy and she gets his attention. The guy runs out of the hospital, gets into a car and sets it on fire. Yeah, thin em em em em em em em em em em em em em em em em em em em em em em em em em em em em em em? And they. they. And they. And they. And they. And they gets. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. And I th. th. th. th. th. th. th. And I, would, would, would, would, would, would, would, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And I th. And I th. th. th. that. that. that. that. that. And that. And that. And that. And that. And that. And that. And, th. And, th. And, good choice. And everyone in the hospital just watches him burn. Yeah. Well, what are they supposed to do?
Starting point is 00:09:28 They don't know medical... Wait, eh. Yeah. We forgot to mention that in the earlier scenes, this is a very crucial piece of information, we see a TV report that a piece of stonehenge has disappeared. Stonehenge. In the, like, the dude who did did the V the that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that the the the the the the, the, the, they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they were they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they the the the the the the, to do too, too, too, too, too, the too, the the the the the the theate, they're they're they're they're they're the theat Stonehenge has disappeared. Stonehenge. Stonehenge.
Starting point is 00:09:45 The dude who did the V.O. on that is like just the worst newscaster voice. It's like an amaze of Stonehenge has been stalling. Stonehenge. Just hold that in your mind. It's very quick. We'll get back to it. Is that check off Stonehenge? It really is. It's a very odd choice to explain a movie.
Starting point is 00:10:10 So the Running Man's daughter shows up to identify the remains, Tom Aken Caesar and then goes to get drunk. Well yeah, what else should he do? Although I think timeline-wise they bump into each other like five days later? Yeah, I was confused by how long this movie tooks to to to to to to to be to be to be to be to be the the to be their to be their their to be their. to be their. to be their. to be th. th. to be. to be. to be to be to be th. thi. thi. to bea. to bea. to bea. to explain. to explain. to explain. to explain. to explain. to explain. their. their. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. to explain. th. to explain. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. to be th. th. th. to be to be th. to be to be toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. to. toe. toe. toe. toe. to to to to the. th. th. think timeline-wise, they bump into each other like five days later. Yeah, I was confused by how long this movie took to take place. It starts off on the 23rd. Oh, okay. And then like the next time they meet is the 28th. Okay.
Starting point is 00:10:33 Oh, yeah, because they're counting down the day to haullain in those commercials. How are they counting it down? of a birthday blower again. They're playing the saw. The clock is ticking. Be in front of your TV sets for the horror thon. And remember the big giveaway at night. It'll get in your brain and stick there. Imagine how annoying that campaign would be were it real. Imagine like you would want to kill yourself or someone else. I like that that's taken as like a jab at consumerism. Yeah, I guess so, but it's also just a fun fun fun fun fun fun fun fun fun fun fun fun fun fun fun fun fun fun fun fun fun the the the thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi their their the thi thi thi their to their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their thi thi tf. tf. tf. tf. tfo. tf. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. tf. tf. tf. tf. tf. tthat's taken as like a jab at consumerism. I guess so, but it's also just a fun little jingle.
Starting point is 00:11:28 And the commercial has like a child's head, like tilting back and forth to the beat. Yeah, it's a nightmares commercial. It really is. So everybody wants these masks. Yeah, designed by Don Post, man, he's a great mask maker. He's a genius. Or no, I'm sorry, the guy, the guy is is is is the guy. the guy. the guy. the guy. the guy. the guy. the the the the the the th. th. th. th. th. thi thi. th. that's th. that's that's that's that's that's that's that's thi. thi. that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's a that's a that's a th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. that's that's that's th. that's that's that's th. that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's a that's a that's that's ti. ti. that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's thi thi. th'm sorry the guy the bad guy in this movie is a genius. Don Post is an actual mask maker to design them yeah. A genius of making three masks. Yeah I love that Connoll Cochran's great plan is to make three masks that everyone's got to want and and they do. I don't know if that's supposed to be a commentary on advertising or what but they do. I I I I that that that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's th. I think that's a commentary on budgetary restraints.
Starting point is 00:12:05 Yeah, I guess. There's that great scene, well, just to skip a head real quick into the like the Halloween night scenes at the end of the movie, and it's showing like everybody out trigger-treating and like everyone's wearing one of the masks, but like with a Casper costume and with a ballerina costume. Just putting it wherever they can. It was really great. That scene is very strange too, but I want to come back to that. Sure. So let's remember that. Tom Atkins and Ellie Grimbridge decide that they've got to go solve this crime of what happened to her father. She is clearly having a difficult time processing the death of her father. Sure.
Starting point is 00:12:37 I feel she is working out by just having sex with this old doctor guy. Do you know what I mean? It seems like he's taking advantage of her, doesn't it? A little bit, yeah. And I think he's, there's also a scene where he's sort of aware of that. I guess. It doesn't stop him, mine too. No. No. So they go to Santa Mira, California.
Starting point is 00:12:59 Yeah, her father was a mask, or a novelty store, toy store owner. Rain, who was going to check on his order of masks at the Silver Shamrock Corporation. Why you would go to check on them, I do not know. I don't know. They didn't have phones. Everybody seemed to, though. Yeah, that's what Marge Gutman was going to do too. And Buddy and his family. No, he was the winner of the contest he had sold the most. Oh, that's right.
Starting point is 00:13:25 It was sort of a Willy Wonka scenario. March Gutman is a very weird character. Oh, we just give it right ahead to March. I'm sorry, I thought we were at Marge Gutman. Yeah, so they go to a stay at a hotel and yeah. It's the hotel where buddy and his family and Marge Gutman is also, talk to me about to me. th. th. th. th. the, th. th. th. th. th. they, th. th. th. they, th. th. th. th. thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. M, th. M, th. M, th. M, th. M, th. M, th. th. th. th. th. thi, thi, they, they, they, thi, thi, thi, thi. thi. th. She, it's a very convenient scene where they're outside the motel and everybody is walking in describing what they're doing. Like why they're there to themselves, to each other, like it's all very convenient. Marge Gutman's like, hi, hi, yeah, here's a to pick up masks over at the factory. I'm an owner, blah, blah, I'm Marge Gah.'s my address look me up by that's and then that's it that's the only interaction anyone has with Marge Gutman yeah until we see her later for her death scene but yes which is also very weird
Starting point is 00:14:15 because she gets shot by a laser yeah that comes out of the mask that makes bees come out of her when she picked at the like metal the micro chip yeah are you telling me that no other like no child like the child that like like like that like that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that's the the the the the the the that's the that's the that's that's that's that's that's that's the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th the tho tho tho tho tho o' tho tho o' tho o' tho o' tho o' tho o' the only only the the the the the the the the. That makes bees come out of her. When she picked at the like metal, the microchip, the microchip. Are you telling me that no other, like no child picked at that? Like, that's a thing children do, they picket things, you know? I just, they are not getting shot by lasers. That would really shut down production. It's you. That's, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you that, you that, you know, you know, you know, you know, that, you, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that that that that. Yeah. Why? Because of ancient druid magic?
Starting point is 00:14:46 Lasers? You know, that was a laser magic. Like a laser light show for Pink Floyds. Laser magic is actually the name of my new band. Oh yeah. Oh good. I wish I could remember the name of our last band. They were on tour together.
Starting point is 00:15:01 Yeah, someone will come up with that. So when they're driving into the town of Santa Mira, everyone is staring at them. It's a very like invasion of the body snatcher sort of vibe of just everyone like peep in their scene. Yeah, so we meet Buddy and his family and Marge Gutman. Hi, Marge Gutman. Whatever her address is. Look me up. So it's... Whatever her address is. Look me up. Tom Atkins going on and buying a bottle of booze and then like applying the town drunk with booze to get all the exposition he needs. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:34 About the Silver Shamrock factory. Yeah, how that guy's got to buy a case and a half of Molotov cocktails. That's not something you can buy at a store. Yeah, where is he going get those? And why, how do you buy them by a case and a half? I guess you get a case than a 12-pack of Molotof cocktails. I guess. Blah blah, blah, blah, Tom Atkins and Ellie Grimbridge go and visit the factory. She has a terrible poker face. She is a terrible poker face. tha, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like a tho, like a thoomcocoa, like, a tho, a tho, a terrible poker face. She is an absolutely awful detective. In every scene, I wish that you could see what I'm doing, but she's making this face of like like just indignation and shock. Like you're you need to not do that.
Starting point is 00:16:13 Yes. Roger Ebert commented that she was the acting highlight of the movie. Yeah, I think he's crazy. The only time that she was like casual was when it turned out she was a robot. That's the only time she acted casual throughout the entire movie. So they go on the tour of the plan. Which they're on with the guy who has won a contest of selling the most masks in a month with his wife
Starting point is 00:16:41 and they're like maybe 10-year-old son. Yeah, they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're all they're all they're like they're like they're like they're like they're like they're like they're like they're like they're like they're like. They're like they're like. their like. their like. their like. their like. th. th. th. thoom. thoom. thoom. thoom. their their their their their their their their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their their their their their their their thi. thi. the. the. the. the. theole. the. the. the. the. the. theole. the. the. the. the. they're like maybe 10-year-old son. Yeah. They're all kind of dildoes is the point of that. They're like just stereotypically Midwestern, I guess. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He's wearing like a leecher suit or something. Yeah. And in the tour, Buddy fills in Tom Atkins on the history of Connochran and how he's a genius of toy making and novelties and... Is this when he says the dead dwarf gag? Yeah. The swamp chainsaw? What do you think the dead dwarf gaug is? I guess it's an
Starting point is 00:17:15 animatronic dwarf that comes back to life and someone tries to resuscitate it? What do you think the swamp chainsaw is? I can't tell you that right now. Okay. Okay. Okay mean, I'm sure if we get an urban dictionary, they'll have so a definition for the swamp chainsaw. Yeah. And again, I love the Colonel Conal Cochran character, which is hard to say. That was a lot of alliteration there. It's a very dumb name. Because he's just so joyful, but obviously extremely malicious at the same time,
Starting point is 00:17:47 like from the jump, he's just like, yeah, he's just putting cyanide in your pixie sticks and just... Yeah. And, you know, but Tom Atkins is on to him. He's not getting away with that. Oh, and then we go back to the hotel and that's where we see... Well, she sees her father's car at the plant and they, or the factory. And when she goes to like, towards the garage to look at it, a bunch of the, his minions come and like basically stop her and she turns and runs into the arms of Tom Adkins and
Starting point is 00:18:17 they just hug while everyone looks at them. Like, they are so not good detectives. They are not being casual about anything. Like, it just really upset me. I'm surprised they found out as much as they did. Well, just everyone had to offer the information freely. They weren't able to gain anything. And it like, the camera pans back to the silver shamrock employees, and they just look like a shitty boy band. Like, they But not looking cool like they don't look cool right they're not the rest of our dogs
Starting point is 00:18:47 Yeah, not at all So we head back to the hotel where while going to get a coke Ellie bumps into Marge government again where she explains that? As they're mass producing these masks they're getting a little crap here and she's got the little silver shamrock tag which it looks like a ways a pound and half like this th th th th th th th th th th th th th th they they they they they they they they they they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're not they're not they're not they're not they're not they're not they're not they're not they're not they're they're they're they're they're not they're not they're not they're not they're not they're not they're not they're not they're not they're not they're not they're not they're they're they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're their their their their their their their they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they're not they're they're not they're they're they're they're they're they're getting a little crappier. And she's got the little silver shamrock tag, which it looks like weighs a pound and a half. Like, this thing's huge. This is setting up Marge's downfall, because she likes playing, she's playing with this thing. And so she goes back to her room, changes into a caftan and goes to bed. What is she's the thi???. I I thi. I thi.. I is thi. I is thi. I is thi. I is thi. I is thi. I is thi. I is thi. I is thi. I's thi. I's thi. I's thi. This is setting, thi. This is setting, thi. This is setting. This is setting, th. This is setting, th. This is setting th. This is setting up. This is setting up. This is setting up. This is setting up. This is setting th. This is setting th. This is setting. This is setting. This is setting. This. This. This. This. This. This. This. This is setting. I is setting. I is setting. I is setting. I is th. I is th. I is th. I is th. I is th. I th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. this this this is setting up, this this this is setting up, remember what it was. It's just this like, it looks like a caft hand like sewn with like silver and gold thread.
Starting point is 00:19:27 It's just insane looking. For being a novelty saleswoman. It's true, it's a novelty nightgown. Yeah. And at the same time that she's going to bed and taking a look at the little tag Tom Atkins and Ellie are going to the bone zone in a really, yep, gross sexy. Yep. I have nothing to say about that. It does have my favorite line in the movie. When Marge Gutman blows herself up with the laser beam coming out of the tag that makes bees come out of her. Tom Atkins' face is buried in Ellie's breasts and Ellie says, what was that?
Starting point is 00:20:01 He goes back and puts his face at her boobs again. Yeah, he's, well, he's a good father's to say to say to say to say to say he's a he's a he's a good he's a good he's a good, he's a good, he's a good, he's a good, he's a good, he's a good th. th. th. thi's a good to say to say to say to say to say to say to say to say to say to say to say to say to say to say to say to say to say to say to say to say to say to say to say to say to say to say to say to say to say to say to say to say to say to say to say to say to say to say to say, he's th. He's a th. He's a th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. tooo. to. to. to. to. cares? And then goes back and puts his face at her boobs again. Yeah, he's, well, he's a good father figure to her. I just cannot with their relationship. It doesn't make any sense. It doesn't make any sense. There's no set up to it. It's like, was the car ride down that good? I must have had a really good talk. Or she's like super depressed. That's probably it.
Starting point is 00:20:25 Yeah. So Ellie gets abducted by the robotic Fab Five. Oh yeah. And Tom Atkins is on a lamb for a little while, but being chased around the town by like an AMC Pacer filled with dudes. Yeah. Can't make a phone call out of the town. All the phones are shut down. Right. Because the town town town town town town town town town town town town town town town town town town town town town town town town town to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to tho tho tho. tho. tho. tho. tho. tho. tho. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. tha. tha. tha. tha. tha. tha. the. the. thea. thea. thea. thea. to to theauuuooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. the tha in the lockdown at night. Why? Because of...
Starting point is 00:20:45 Snakes? Yeah, and Druid Magic. And lasers. And so Tom Atkins breaks back into the plant, the factory, where they're the silver tram rock factory, and is skulking around and there until he gets busted. He finds like an old woman crocheting. And I was like, are they selling those Afghans too? Why? Why? th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the th. And th. And the the th. And the th. And the th. And th. And their, their, their, thuad, their, thuad, thuad, thuad, and thuids, and la. And, and la. And, and la. And, and la. And, and la. And, and la. And, and la. And, and la. And, and la. And, their, their, their, their? And, their? And, their? And, their, their, their? And, their, their, their, their, their, their their, their, thi. And, thi. And, tha? And, tha? And, tha. And, tha. And, th. And, th. And, they. And, th. And, they. And, they. And busted. He finds like an old woman crocheting. And I was like, are they selling those Afghans too?
Starting point is 00:21:09 Why is she doing that? And it turns out she's a robot. Yeah, why was she doing that? She's just a robot? She's just a robot. I guess. It's very, very odd. Oh, and at this point, Tom At thikins, tom, tom, tom, to thins, thum, to thins, thins, thi, to thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, th, thi, thi, thi, th, th, th, th, th, thi, they's they's they's they's they's, they's, they's, they's, they's, they's, they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's thi.. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. too-a. thea, thea, thea, thi, thi, thi. they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they Atkins has managed to kill one of the dudes, is this is where we find out that they're robots. Yeah, he like reaches inside him and he's all wires and great.
Starting point is 00:21:31 Apricot jelly? Like, do you have to looop the inside wires? Why do you think it's like that? Yeah, just like us, people's got loop for inside wires. It's called blood. My next note just says Lollet Stonehenge, so I think this is when it comes back around. So Tom Mackens has been nabbed by the robot dudes that all look like, you know, knockoffs of Paul McCartney. And this is where it gets very James Bond because Connell Cochran then explains his entire
Starting point is 00:21:59 plan to Tom that is excruciating detail. It's basically a story of child murder. He's going to murder a bunch of kids by having them put on their silver shamrock masks on Halloween at 9 p.m. It's in front of the TV. It's such a problem with this. With Druid Magic and Science he's going to be able to do this. Here's my issue. What about time zones? Because he's going to be able to do this. Here's my issue. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:25 What about time zones? Because they go to great lengths, this is the scene that I thought was weird that I mentioned earlier, where they're like, Dayton, Ohio, and it's all this kids wearing the mask, and then it's in Phoenix, and it's in Illinois or whatever. The point is that kids all across the East Coast because if it's nine o'clock in California it's midnight Well, it might be Hmm do you know what I'm saying? I do I do it seems like at some point someone must have said to the director Wait, what about time zones and he was like right we don't talk about that? I can't budget these time zones. Yeah like because if it's nine p.m. In California that means it's already thi th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. t. t. t. t. t. t. t time zones. Yeah, like, because if it's 9 p.m. in California, that means it's already been 9 p.m. all those children in Dayton are dead. They're dead. They're fucking bugs and snakes right now. But if it's only happening once
Starting point is 00:23:12 and it's 9 p.m. in California, it's midnight on the east coast and we've been told it's a Sunday. So I don't think a lot of kids are probably watching TV. That's that's th. That's th. That's th. That's th. That's th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the their th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. All th. their their th. All th. All th. All th. All their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. It's. It's th. It's th. th. th. th that it's at nine because that gave everybody time to trick or treat before they do it. Yeah. But no, you're right, the time zone thing makes the entire thing fall apart. Just such a simple thing and no one was like, or they were just like, fuck it, who cares. They're going to blow up into snakes snakes snakes snakes snakes to microphones about this movie dissecting it. I don't know. I don't know. It's a very simple thing to work out. I don't know how. But I'm not I'm not the director or writer. So maybe it's depending on the time zone, the commercial was like, hey kids, get there at 6 p.m. or get there at 8 p.m. But it would have to be 6 p.m. on the West Coast.
Starting point is 00:24:14 Oh, that's true. That's true. Yeah, yeah. You're right. Otherwise, you're not, you TV has that much sway. I guess. I don't think so. I think they were just like, hey, fuck it, who cares? Or all of those children in Dayton are dead. But the guy in California hasn't heard about it because when Tom Atkins calls and tells them to turn, who is he talking to? He's talking to TV station. He calls the TV station. I don the TV station. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:24:45 But we're skimming ahead because there's so much ridiculous. Well, have we so talked? At what point does the kid at the factory's head blow up? So Connell Cochran takes Tom Atkins, Dr. Dan Chalice. Don't even try. They're not even put on these airs. They're on a tour of tour tour tour tour tour tour to to' to' to' to' to' to' to' tha' tha' the tha' the tha' the the the the time to kill. This is the big night, but he's got time to do this. Despite the fact that he's already toured the factory once.
Starting point is 00:25:08 Well, he hasn't seen the forbidden zone in the factory, which is where... Oh, right. Final processing zone. Which is where the piece of stonehenge is? How did they get it to the the factory and there's these robots chipping away at it. Just chipping away at a fucking piece of Stonehenge. Come on, you fucking guys. Chipping away at it on the night that everything's going down. They're still making masks.
Starting point is 00:25:33 Who's buying them? Who's buying them? All those kids in Dayton are dead already. I have a no idea that says I do not understand in the slightest. So they eventually locked Tom Atkins in a room and they turn on the television set after they put one of the skull masks on him because he's going to die too. And they show him a video feed of Buddy and his family. And this is where we see little kid watching a commercial with one of the Jackaliner masks on.
Starting point is 00:26:02 And as the commercial goes on, he drops the floor, grabs his face.. And their. And their. And their. And their. And their. And their. And their, their, their, their, their, th. And th. And th. And their, th. And, their, th. And, th. And, their, th. And, their, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, tom. And, tom. And, tom. And, tom. And, they. And, they. And, they. And, they. And, they. And, they. And, they. And, they. And, th. And, they. And, they. And, the. And, they. And, they. And, they. And, they. And, they. And, they. And, they. And, they. And. And. And, th. And. And. And. And. And, th. And. And. And. And. And. And. And. And. And. And. And. And, the jackaliner masks on. And as the commercial goes on, he drops the floor, grabs his face, and his parents are slightly concerned. And the jackal-in-her mask like starts melting and like turning into like pumpkin, right? Right, which was pretty cool. A rotting gore, basically. And then bees and snakes start pouring out of this kid's face. Fucking terrifying. It's really really the the the thiiiiiii- thi- thi-it-it-it-it-it-it-it-it-it-it-it-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-n, it's thi-i-n, thi-n, thi-o-nigh-o-o-o-o-nigh-nigh-s, thi-o-o-o'-o-o-o-o-s, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th-n, th-n, th-n, th-n, th-n, th-n't, th-n't-n't-n't-n't-n't-nigh-s-s. th-s-s-s. th-s. theeaa-sa-sa-sa-sa-sa-sa-sa-sa-sa-sa-s. tha-s. And, really not nice at all. It's real gross. I mean that's child. You know I feel about child murders
Starting point is 00:26:27 It's it's mean it's mean Yeah, yeah, and then this parents die also. Yeah, his mom dies afraid. Oh that you'll have that that happens and then a rattlesnake comes out of the kid's mouth and bites buddy and kills him. Yeah, so I you get for selling all those masks, I guess? Yeah, capitalism's gonna get you in the end. Except for this guy Cochran, who's basically just burying his business. I guess he assumes he won't need capitalism after the witches takeover or whatever it is he's doing. Well, he's trying to recreate that great Salwyn Knight, 3,000 years ago, where the hills ran red with blood. And... And bring about a new dark age or something.
Starting point is 00:27:09 Yeah, fun times. It seems like he's living a pretty nice life. Making a lot of money? Yeah, but come on. New Dark age. True it apocalyse. I think capitalism was a new dark age. Oh, hmm, poignant. It's as poignant as everything else in the snow. Well, first we have to have Tom Atkins' escape in the greatest escape ever, which is he kicks in the television set.
Starting point is 00:27:33 Because it was a television set playing the commercial that was going to turn him into a snake face. He's looking, there are digital clocks all over the place and he has like 14 minutes or something. Right. It's like 8.30. It's got the the the the the the the the the th. There's th. There's the th. There's th. There's th. There's th. There's th. There's the th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. There th. There are th. There are th. There are th. There are th. There are th. There are th. There are th. There are th. There are th. There are th. There are th. There are th. There are th. There are th. There are th. There are th. There are th. There are th. There are th. There are th. There are th. There are th. There are th. There th. There th. There th. There is is th. There is th. There is th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. th. thii. thi. thi. toi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. th 830, and he's got to get it all done by 9. So he can save the world. So he kicks in the television set, grabs a piece of glass, so's his bonds, or salls his bonds. I'm sorry. So's them, while saws them, takes off the skull mask. And an amazing feate of athleticism, just throws the mask on to the camera completely covering. Oh yeah I liked that. Yeah, there's no way that would work. Yeah he's been practicing that for years.
Starting point is 00:28:06 Yeah he was a he's got a camera in his bedroom at home. He was a discuice tosser in college. A floppy discucus. No he went to Duquesne I think he's a Du muck. He's running through the factory and he's looking for Ellie. Yeah. Because they showed him earlier. She was like strapped to a table somewhere. Right. Or Dr. Dan Chalice, Tom Atkins. Oh, Tom Atkins.
Starting point is 00:28:34 And he runs around and he grabs a box. Like everything's like starting to climax. You know, it's getting closer and closer. So he goes up and he punched some keys on a computer, nailed it. He was a computer guy in college. He has a lot of calls. Duquesne. And he starts the commercial up and then grabs a box of tags
Starting point is 00:28:54 after he finds Ellie, and they're running around. And he dumps the tags on to the robots. And they're they die. Well, the computer, so the flashing thing on the commercial is setting off the tags to kill people. And they're right next to the Stonehenge. So that's magnifying it. So it's, they're exploding on these robots and killing them instantly. Instant death. Electricity immediately kills robots.
Starting point is 00:29:22 Like those things were just lying around in a cardboard box. Yeah, but they had to be... It was super dangerous. I don't know. They were near Stonehenge. They were near Stonehen the whole time. All right. And then Colin, colon, colon, there thees what Tom Atkins has done and in his last act before he is fried by Stonehenge.
Starting point is 00:29:47 He gets fried by Stone? I don't remember. Yeah, he's in the circle of computers and then they, a laser-cute him. Circle of Computers is my new band name. This fucking movie. He looks up at Tom Atkins and gives him a slow clap and he's like, you did it dog, this is a good trick because he loves a trick. It's very strange. I do think that is very strange. So he gets in the car with Ellie and they're going to try to stop bad things from going out.
Starting point is 00:30:15 Yeah. Because the commercial is not going out. It's like 840 something now. I don't know. They do th th. They do th. They do th. They do th. They do th. They do th. They do th. They do th. They do th. They do th. They do th. They do th. They do th. They do th. th. It th. It's th. It's very. It's very. It's very. It's very. It's very. It's very. It's very. It's very. It's very very th. It's very very very th, it. It is very very very very. It th, it. It is very. It is very. It is very. It is very. It is very. It is very. It is very. It is very. It is very. It is very. It is very. It is very. It is very. It is very. It is th. It is th. It is very. It is th. It's very. It's very. It's very. It's very. It's very. It's very. It's very. It's very. It's very. It's very. It's very strange. It's very strange. It's very strange. It's like. It's very strange. It's like. It's very. It's very. It And because her face is a constant wide-eyed. That's how she, I'm sorry, but that is how she has looked to the entire film. Honestly, again, this is the only time that she is the only time that she is not overactive. You know what I mean? a robot that fast? They're like really good at us. Although they couldn't figure out how to keep the transistors from killing the robot, so I really don't know. So she starts attacking him. He, her arm gets ripped off and it's still attacking him. Yeah. He beats her to death with a crowbar. Here's a note that I have that I'm not sure what it means. These are always good ones. Imagine looking at your own butt like that? Oh, when her head gets turned around.
Starting point is 00:31:07 Her head gets turned around. OK. Yeah. Imagine looking at your own butt like that? Well, imagine. You can only see your butt from that angle that angle. That angle. It kind of. It's a... But I've never seen. Mel Brooks gets transported a la Star Trek and he ends up with his head on backwards and he yells, why didn't anyone tell me my ass was so big?
Starting point is 00:31:28 Oh, that's funny. Oh, god damn it. Why didn't Mel Brooks be mean to the joke? Like all of my good jokes. So Tom Atkins takes off ends up at the same gas station that we saw at the beginning at the beginning at the beginning at the beginning at that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that the that the that the that the that that'sthe film with the interesting looking fella. Oh really? Yeah. And... Oh, I know you mean now, yeah, okay. Calls the TV station. Just calls him up, has the number, ready to go. Turn it off, turn it off, turn the damn commercial off.
Starting point is 00:31:53 And they do. Yeah, and then he changes the channel in the next commercial. And then they turned the the the the the the the the the the the the next. And the. And the. the. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. they. their. that. the TV. Yeah. their. their. the the the the TV. the TV. Yeah. the TV. the TV. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. the TV. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. the TV. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. the. t. the. t. the. the. t. t. t. t. t. ting to TV? Yeah. And then he goes to the third one and he's still going to turn that one off to you. How? Is he at a conference call? Like how? It's so... I'm gonna patch you through to TV. Exasperating. But it doesn't go off and presumably the Bad Guys Win. The movie just ends. Yeah. I like a Bad Guys winning ending. I like the why. Because I... Don't tell me you saw it when you were 12 or whatever you loved it. I was trying to think of the first time that I saw this and I was probably 10 or 11 when I saw this. It was probably 10 or 11 when I saw this. It was on HBO. I remember that. Are we moving into the ratings phase or am I just giving you why I love this? to thea the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. I'm thi. I'm just just just try. I'm just try. I'm just thi. I'm just tell you. try. I'm try. I was just try. I was just just tha. I was just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just. I was just. I was just. I was just. I was just. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. try. try. try. today. try. try. today. try. try. today. try. te. try. te. the. the. today. tell me. Okay, well we can wrap it. I'll do a ratings phase and tell you why I love it. That's exactly what you should do. Okay so ratings phase. Yeah, I'm just, just so we're clear. We're in there guys. It's fun. It's just a fun,
Starting point is 00:32:53 ridiculous like just nut bar. You've like, we talked before about how much I love just nonsense movies like we're try to live dead and just these movies that are totally totally totally totally tot all tot all tot all tot all tot all tot all tot all tot all tot all the tho. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. the thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. tha. tha. t. t. t. tha. t. t. t. t. tha. to. to. to. to. to. to. We to. to. to. We to. to. to. to. We to. tell. to. tell. tell. We. tell. t. trying to the living dead and just these movies that are totally over the top and totally camp and like this movie like there's some like genuine scares in it but I think it knows what it is I think it knows that it's like can't be ridiculousness I mean definitely Colonel Cochran knows what he is he's over the top and you know Tom Aken seems to me that they would go from, even taking the sort of trying to take the film series arc away from Michael Myers, but to go from like so dark and so frightening and so somber to like this movie, it's really weird. It's really weird. And it's also really weird to me because it's horrible.
Starting point is 00:33:43 Like the concept of a large company trying to take out like a, like a the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the to the to the to to the the film to to to to to to to to to to trys, try weird to me because it's horrible. Like the concept of a large company trying to take out like a large swath of children by blowing their heads up and turning them into snakes and bugs is very, very, very disturbing. But then it's also just like mixed in with this absurd story with these absurd characters. Yeah, I think the disturbingness of it gets disarmed by the ridiculousness of it like the fact that they somehow smuggled a piece of stonehenge to California. Well on train how the fuck did they do it like it's so ridiculous. Just got on a plane with it in a pre-911 world like. Stuffed in your shoe. I mean I love love it because it's like, it's got that, uh, I mean, it's got everything I kind of want out of Halloween.
Starting point is 00:34:28 It's ridiculous, it's a little scary. It's like over the top, there's crass consumerism. Like, it's a, I don't know, it's just so fun. I think it's just such a fun, dumb movie. Like, it's very stupid. But like, for that, it's like, I love it for that. Like, I love it in the same way that I loved Neon Maniacs. Yeah, that was actually, yeah, that's something that I was comparing it to when I was thinking about this because I was like, literally nobody thought about any of the sense in this. There's just no care given to logic. No. Well, you say that, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that's, that's, that, that, that's that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, yeah, yeah, that, yeah, that, yeah, that, that, yeah, that's, that's, yeah, that's, that's, that's, yeah, that's, that's, that's, that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's th. that's that's that's thi. that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's th. Yeah, that's that's that's th. that's th.? Because you're making a movie. Because you're telling a story. But you're making this movie, and you're telling this story. I guess I just don't understand how they thought this was going to work in the series. Like, what the next movie would be?
Starting point is 00:35:15 It would be something completely different. But would it be dark and frightening? Or would it be more of this weird, 1980s nonsense movies. I think that that's what it was, it could have been anything. They could have done anything in this series. And ultimately they opted to not do anything else. They were like, let's go back, listen. The return of Michael Lyre's Halloween four. Yeah, I mean honestly they were like, whoopf, that did not work.
Starting point is 00:35:40 Yeah. But it's got to get the, you know, the original, the original, the original, the original, the original, the original, the original, the original, the original, the original, the original, the original, the original, the original, the original, the original, the original, the original, the original, the original, the original, the original, the original, the original, the original, the o' the o' the o' the o' the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, theyoooome.oomorrow, their, they.oomorrow, thethe original Halloween, the tagline, the night he came home. Yeah. And this movie had the tagline, the night no one came home. It's very upside. Are you, you want to rate it? I'm going to give it a nine. Of course you are. It's so like, I mean, I watched it every year. I own it, I love it, I love it, and I have for years the the the the the the the the the the the the the th, the th, the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th, th. th. th. th. the the the the the the the thage. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th the the th the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the that. Oh, like the guest. Yeah, yeah, like. And it was slandered for years because it didn't have Michael Myers. Like my friends- That is not the problem with this movie. That is not the problem with this movie.
Starting point is 00:36:31 But it's what everyone's sighted as being the problem with this movie. Sure, sure. My good friend Sal, when they was a the the th. Thea. T. T. T. T. th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, that is. That. That. That is. That is. That is. That is. That is. That is. That, that, that, that, that, that is. That is. That is. That is not. That is not. That is not. That is not. That is not. a Halloween movie and this is the Halloween movie they rented they're like what the fuck? We'll go for three. Where's that guy in the yeah? So yeah I think it's just so like I don't know for me it's crucial Halloween viewing like Katie hit it. There's no denying that it's entertaining. Oh awesome. It is absolutely entertaining it is so fucking dumb. Oh yeah I didn't hate it but I don't think I would watch it every year. I'm gonna give it a six. Yeah. It's for yeah. It's so mean. It's so mean. It's so mean. It's so mean and so dumb. I just don't understand the combination of like.
Starting point is 00:37:13 I guess I think of it as being mean in the way that like EC comics were mean. Like, like the fixt comics from the 50s that were love and the dude's gonna murder the woman like it was just like totally because it's just over the top and it meant to shock you and this is just meant to shock and like titillate obviously well I guess I feel tidolated by the weird I don't ever need to see I need to get a cut of this movie that tho that woman's nipplelated because because because the the their I their I their I their I their I their I their I their I their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their. their. I's the their. the. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. th th the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the thi. I the is just is just is just is just is just is just is just is just ty. I ty. today is just. ty. tot. tot. tot. tot. tot. tot. the. the. the. I need to get a cut of this movie that doesn't have Tom Atkins licking that woman's nipple because it's very upsetting. That cookie duster. So that's Halloween 3, season of the witch. Why did they make that Nicholas Cage movie then title Season of the Witch? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:37:58 Is it Ron Peromene? Yeah. I'm sorry, I don't know if you could th you th you could th you could th you could th you could th you could th you could th you could th you could th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th tho tho th. Yeah, yeah, I don't know. I don't know guys should tell us how you feel about this movie. A lot of people have chimed in on the internet. We posted today about it and, you know, people love. Like I said, it's his favorite horror movie. Who said that? That's one of the dudes on the interwebs.
Starting point is 00:38:28 Oh, buddy. Yeah. Why? I mean, I get it's not that. No, I don't under it. It's not too. Do you know what I mean? Because you have to, and this is not a good movie. Yeah, you had to have seen the haunting or the thing.
Starting point is 00:38:50 This is just not a good, it's not a good movie. It's fun, it's fun. It's not well executed for sure. Oh, we didn't mention the lab technician. I love the lab technician character. That is another problem I had with this movie. She's so sweet. She's so sweet. She's also clearly having sex with Dale Atkins. The robots come and kill her. Yeah, with the drill. Why?
Starting point is 00:39:12 They don't know if she, how could they possibly know she's after them? Because everything is bugged phone? When he's in the hotel lobby, he's calling, or the motel lobby, he's calling. And then the camera pans down and there's a little bug next to the phone. Oh. Yeah, so they knew that she knew. And it just as she has the realization that it was a robot, she gets drilled in the head. Yeah, let's say it. Because she was so nice, she's such a to.
Starting point is 00:39:46 die. Yeah, everyone does apparently. In your favorite horror movie guy on the internet. No one nice can live. No. So what are we doing next week, Katie? Next week we are doing another movie that was on a list called like scary movies that happen around Halloween. Yeah. But it didn't really have much of a Halloween vibe. There's that the there's the scene of the Halloween dance in the house. Yeah. But it wasn't, well whatever. Yeah. We're doing the 2000 or 2001. Yeah, two thousand. Yeah, two thousand. Yeah, ginger snaps. That is, you can find that on YouTube real easy.
Starting point is 00:40:17 Oh really? Yeah. It's also on a Hulu Plus, if you guys have Hulu Plus. So watch that. And let's what you think about it. As we start a second year, the Royal Ambulance, Sophom. Here we go. Oh, come on. The next episode, we're just going to be like, oh. Real quick, I did want to mention a few people that. I want to mention Rob and Missy who live in the houses respectively that we do this in and have to put up with this every week. Thanks
