I someone turned me on to probably about like a year ago or so. And I just went back and started from like day one and started listening to all these podcasts. It's like, this is fucking great. That's amazing. I'm a huge fan of yours. And I appreciate

Starting point is 00:02:22 Also, we encourage our listeners to give us a five set review and I do and then shit all over us in the comment section. Today, we'll be reviewing a podcast called Backpacking Light Podcast. This is a suggestion from Chris Wargo. Jim and I have both listened to the show separately. We have not discussed it with each other beforehand. Let's get into it. Jim, this is the show hosted by two guys, Ryan and Andrew. In the episode that we listened to called Navigation, had a guest on it named Chris Schultz. First of all, I want to know why that fan, Chris, even heard of this podcast.
Starting point is 00:02:55 That's a great question. He listened to the whole thing, too. He gave me a long explanation on why I should listen to it. I know how to even find it. Why would you do a podcast on backpacking? I mean, that appeals to maybe 5,000 people I want to go through the woods for like a week and try to see if they can make it to the other side. Nobody gives a shit. All right, so you've already
Starting point is 00:03:16 answered my first question, which is going to be do enjoy hiking because if you do, you're going to have a hard conversation. All right, good. What a fuck wants to hike. That's for like, that's for corny white guys that when they first meet a chick, you know, they go, I will, let's go hiking. Yeah, all right. Yeah, let's go. They never, they'll do it once and they'll never do it again. Well, these guys are hardcore hikers. So when we say hiking, this is not like you're talking about,
Starting point is 00:03:40 oh, yeah, I like to just walk through the woods from time to time. No, yeah, you like to go to sports bars and drink all day, all right? I asked all you're not fooling anybody. What these guys do though, something that no chick wants to do. They backpack for days in a time camping out, walking through the wilderness, there's fucking grizzly bears. This is what they do for fun.
Starting point is 00:03:59 This is recreation for them. I don't know, I don't understand how it would be fun. You know what I mean? I don't,, I don't understand how it would be fun. You know what I mean? I don't, I, this would be my worst nightmare. I just don't, for a, I don't like to be cold. I don't like wet socks. There's no pussy on the trail. It's just a bunch of dudes. So this is, we should go this way or that way. Who gives a shit? Why would you have a podcast about it? This, this is not just a podcast. This isn't a whole empire, which I'll get to do in a minute. Let me just play a clip that I call hiking sounds terrible. We had bad weather come in and had to make some decisions
Starting point is 00:04:31 based on the weather. We had one person in our group suffered from altitude illness. The first couple of days pretty severely. Everyone reacts to challenges differently. Some people are more intimidated by thick brush in grizzly country and other people are more intimidated by climbing a talus slope to a 12,000 foot peak. So what they're talking about is there's 11 guys went on a hiking trip in Montana and they were going through mountains and areas where there's swamps and grizzly bears and lakes.
Starting point is 00:05:05 Nothing about this sounds fun at all to me. And they got to cut through brush. You know, this bad weather said, and you can't hike that day if it's really bad. And you got to find, you know, a little cave to hang out in. How was that fun? I know someone has altitude sickness on the first day.
Starting point is 00:05:20 Wee! This is great, is it? It's... Look, if you want to hang out in the woods, what your friends and drink and get high and do drugs, yeah, that's fine. That sounds like okay, I go with that, but I don't want to be lost and might never get back. What what 11 guys and I'm listening to podcasts and most of these guys don't even know each other. They just came from all over
Starting point is 00:05:41 right? Who wants to hang out with people in the woods that you don't even know? Right. It's not even a reality TV show. It'd be one thing if there was someone from the Discovery Channel holding a camera, then I get it. But they're just doing this with the 11 guys for fucking shits and giggles. You know what they say? Look, we'll give you a 50 grand to be on the show. I'm like, all right, I'll put that on my kids' college tuition fund.
Starting point is 00:06:01 Yeah, I forgot to go for free. Fuck that. Oh, no, it costs that money. So this is this is him explaining the this is the fun about it having to figure out the route they're going to take. And just being able to see like eyes widen up and excitement come at coming to a brand new location and being able to craft a new route from point A to point B is something that's really cool to watch. And so there's this dynamic of excitement. It's boring as shit. This entire episode was about this one adventure
Starting point is 00:06:37 that all these assholes went on where they hiked for miles for days. They got dropped off at one place and had a walk to their cars that was miles away. And that's what we're talking about this entire hour and 20 minutes. It's horrific. I want to talk about the guests that they have on and how terrible these two hosts are interviewing. So the guest is awful,
Starting point is 00:06:59 but he's not helped by terrible interviewing skills. This is the second question, all right. So tell us about your previous experience in the back country. You said that you have been hiking since 2005. So actually, I guess what my question is, is what caused you to get interested in backpacking in the first place?
Starting point is 00:07:19 Now, Jim, that's a great fucking question. Why do you care about this? This is terrible. But he didn't even know a question he was going to ask. And it was question number two. You don't have two questions written down that you're going to ask this fucking guy.
Starting point is 00:07:32 Is your interviewing for your podcast? Yeah, it's mindless. And just, and you know, and then at what they do is they interview this guy for like 25 minutes between all three of them abouring. And then when they're done, they go, let's recap the interview. Yes!
Starting point is 00:07:48 Heard again. I know! I didn't want to hear it the first time, you don't have to recap it. It was shit to begin with. And that's one of the things that I hate about podcasts. There's a lot of these podcasts who think they're Joe Rogan, they think they want to do a preamble,
Starting point is 00:08:00 and then they'll get the guests on, and then they'll do the screen cap and this post show. And I hate when they tell you all the things that are coming up on the show. And just in many, we'll interview Chris Schultz, a participant on the trip. And later in the episode, we'll talk about some of our favorite
Starting point is 00:08:14 and navigational gear, both traditional and electronic. We'll also introduce a brand new podcast segment called Hiker Hacks, and as always in the show with here and now. So maybe I'm irrational about this, but this bugs this shit out of me because it's a podcast. You're not trying to get someone to listen for as long as possible or to tune in in the car when they get back in the car. This is not a radio show. You don't have to tell me what's coming up.
Starting point is 00:08:37 Either I'll listen or I won't and it'll be based on whether it's interesting or not. If it borrows this shit out of me, I'm done. I'm not gonna be like, well, he said that other segments coming up the later. So I guess I'll stick with it until we get to that part. That's right, you can hit flag and stop over to podcasts, whatever you want. You can pick it up five days later. I don't give a shit what's coming up next. Right, you're not gonna entice me to stick around
Starting point is 00:08:59 for an hour through this interview with this idiot, or getting back to this interview because this is the most fascinating part of the show. The other guy now asks a question and he is also terrible interviewing. In a complex root environment like this where there are no established roots or you have to piece together
Starting point is 00:09:19 15 different pieces of information to craft a root from point A to point B, it tends to be much more iterative and chaotic. Can you comment on that at all? So the guy makes a statement and then says, care to comment on that. That's not how questions work. You just said something that you wanted to say. And now you're saying, no, you could talk. I don't get it. You know, this appeals to a hundred people around the world. Maybe that would want to listen to this. I much less than that.
Starting point is 00:09:47 You're giving it too much credit. You know, yeah, people might want to go camp and maybe backpacking for like a few hours, but for people that go for a week through the wilderness like this. Who is this appealing to
Starting point is 00:09:58 him? Why would you make a podcast about it? And if I was going to do this, I wouldn't listen to this podcast again. This. I don't even know who these fucking assholes are. I'm going to go to Who is this appealing to him? Why would you make a podcast about it? And if I was gonna do this, I wouldn't listen to this podcasting attempts. This, I'm like, I'm gonna go, I don't even know who these fucking assholes are.
Starting point is 00:10:09 I'm gonna go to a professional and do some real research. I wanna gotta do the survive out there for a fucking week. That's the point I wanna make, even if you're passionate about backpacking, and not just backpacking, but backpacking lights. We gotta get as few of items as possible in that backpack. This is not the show you would listen to. The guy goes out and just says,
Starting point is 00:10:26 you know, I thought this and this and this, do you want to comment on that? And then they got the stuttering asshole. But I wanted to ask you this, I'm glad you're on the show, Jim, because you have interviewed a lot of famous people, a lot of important people. Tony Iomi comes to mind.
Starting point is 00:10:40 Would you ever ask a question like, I think children of the grave is a better sign than Iron Man comment on that. That's, that's how questions work. No, no, it's not at all. And just get right, get right to the point, you know, and then that's it. But I, you know, something that's never been asked before. You know, I'm not going to go, you know, what are you, you know, who's your, what's your favorite black savage song? You know, it's like, I'm not going to ask a dumb question like, who are your influences? What does you listen to? It's like, yeah, can you just fuck it? You could Google that.
Starting point is 00:11:07 You'll find out. So the guy asked that stupid question, he tells them to just comment on something, and this guy Chris Shill's, I can't wait to talk about Chris, he is a stuttering retard. And I understand this is a tough thing to answer because he didn't really ask a question, but listen to how he answers that question. Um, uh, yes, uh, it, um, uh, uh, at time, uh, at times it wasn't deep chaotic. Okay. This is not a guy you'd want on your podcast. Imagine being a week in the woods with this motherfucker. Oh, shit.
Starting point is 00:11:42 Former sentence. I'd push him off a cliff. Just get to the point. That's all. Just write it down. You just texted me. Yeah, right over there. What should I do?
Starting point is 00:11:51 How do you know? So the clip I just played, if I had him on my show and I liked him, this is how I would have edited that answer. Yes. At times it wasn't de-chaotic. That's it. Two seconds. That's all he was trying to say.
Starting point is 00:12:05 He couldn't fucking spit it out. Uh, you know what's unbelievable about this too? If you go to the website where the podcast is posted, they give a whole rundown of the podcast. So you don't even have to listen to it. With pitchers and everything. Like, I'll just read the blog. I don't need to listen to this show. It's fine.
Starting point is 00:12:23 You don't have to listen to it at all. It's an unbelievable rundown of it. I'm like, OK, why am I listening? There's no cliff hangers in it. They just tell everything. They get really into the gear that everybody's using. Because that's what this is all about, right? Jim, it's the gear you're using. Listen to this fascinating information.
Starting point is 00:12:42 And let's talk about your pack for a second. In particular, the modifications that you made to it because your water bottle holding system was a mod on your pack, right? Yes it was, yeah. So he just asked, the water's holding system on your backpack was modified. You mean a clip? Did he put his own clip on his backpack was modified. You mean a clip?
Starting point is 00:13:05 Did he put his own clip on his backpack to hold his water? What are we talking about? Maybe he rigged it. Maybe he rigged it a different way and people want to know. That's not impressive. I put, I actually sewed a pocket. I sewed a pocket where there wasn't one and I put my water at that. That's not called a mod.
Starting point is 00:13:24 I would just ask this guy, is there any way I can get this done in under seven days? Is there a short cut where I could be in? I'd have fucking fart in three days. I told all I wanted to know. I don't give a fuck about your water bottle, you're modified. I love, they talk about,
Starting point is 00:13:39 they ask Chris before they go on this adventure, what is your objective? And I just thought this was fascinating. I asked him, as we were getting to know each other several months ago, what's your objective for this trip? And he said, well, I'd like to get my base pack weight under 10 pounds. And I will say he came really close to that.
Starting point is 00:13:57 He had one of, if not the lightest pack on the trip. And then his second objective was not to be airlifted out of the bear toos on day two which he achieved that objective and his third objective was not to cry in the bear toos. So if I understand that right he had three objectives and one of them was to pack light seems pretty doable okay not a big deal. The second one was to not get airlifted out. Are we talking about a helicopter heavy to come in and rescue someone? Yeah, I think that's what it was in that third, not the crime.
Starting point is 00:14:31 Yeah, in that place. I would cry about it for a week. In the woods. I would be crying. I feel like those three objectives are so far separated from each other. Like packing light and not crying or two things, you could probably pull off this whole idea,
Starting point is 00:14:48 like, and I don't want to have a helicopter after a comment and rescue me, like, I think that goes without saying. Well, that, and that could probably be number one. That's right. I'm gonna light fucking back back on the screen, pounds. Should probably come in third. If at all, it doesn't seem like a really important objective to have.
Starting point is 00:15:06 Yeah. Well, you were 11 pounds. Oh, that's crazy. Whoa. What a wild trip. And the other thing that fascinates me about these assholes is they're all into the gear and the high-tech gear that they're using. But then the guy didn't know that you could use Google Earth. I was fascinated at how useful Google Earth 3D images were in really walking us through potential routes. Oh really, Google Earth was helpful for finding a way to get to where you were going. You don't say. Right. If you don't use that in your car or wherever you're going to search someplace where you might be going, let me check what's around that on Google Earth.
Starting point is 00:15:49 Right. You didn't think it out when you were stuck in the woods and you don't know where to fuck you going. And this is a guy who's been hiking for 15 years. He's got all these credentials and shit. And he goes, yeah, I got up with these other people I've never met before. And it was amazing.
Starting point is 00:16:02 They pulled out their phones and could see where they were in the world. You didn't know that was a thing? You didn't know that. It's great too because later on he talks about how he begrudgingly used GPS just because everybody else was. It was really educational for me to be, to watch people use their cell phones to navigate. I used my GPS a little bit more than I usually do.
Starting point is 00:16:32 The problem with a map encompass in a large group when there are six GPSs going is that there is no patience to triangulate your location on the map when people have their GPS out. So this guy was frustrated. He wanted to use his map and his compass. And it was like, hey, Krippa, put this shit away. I have exactly where we are up on my phone. If you want to look at the retina display, you can see where we are, where we're going. That's like driving in your car, like you go into some contour like three hours away, and you're like, oh shit, I think I made a wrong turn
Starting point is 00:17:11 and your buddy takes the fucking map out of the door. I know what you're doing with that. We'll do it with that. Right here. No, no, wait, let me unfold this thing and block the whole windshield. Well, that's funny too, because at least if you're doing that,
Starting point is 00:17:24 you might see a street sign and you can say, okay, yeah, yeah, yeah, we're on this street. You're on the wilderness. You're just fucking gassing. Like, I think there were trees back to the northeast, right? So we're probably somewhere around here. It's like, dummy. Just pull out your phone.
Starting point is 00:17:38 This is what I don't understand. Like, this guy didn't want, he was reluctant to use technology to help them find their route to where their cars were parked. And this is what I don't understand about people who put themselves in these types of situations is to what degree do you allow modern comforts to guide you. They have all this gear, they have all this shit that is made out of space-age material, in order to get wet and they don't get gangrene, whatever the fuck else might happen to them. They have bear spray in case a grizzly comes after them.
Starting point is 00:18:08 Oh, that's just fine. But then it's like, yeah, but these satellites, I don't know if I want to use that to help me out. What's the live? Why is there a live? Imagine if you were with that guy and he's like, no, no, don't use your GPS. So I got there.
Starting point is 00:18:23 And then you walk the wrong way for two days, and it takes you two days longer, because at an asshole, wouldn't use the GPS on a phone. Oh, Jim, it gets worse than that. They talk about after this interview, they talk about the Appalachian Trail, and apparently hikers are dying
Starting point is 00:18:40 because they go in the wrong direction. Yeah, it is. And actually, a lot of AT hikers walk in the wrong direction sometimes after breaks. It's kind of an interesting phenomenon. Yeah, I've read stories about people getting lost and even dying from taking a bathroom break and not being able to get back to their packs.
Starting point is 00:18:59 I've never read about someone who went to take a shit and then died because they couldn't find their friends afterwards? That's crazy. You have to go take a shit like hey, I'm gonna go walk like a mile so you guys don't see me You know dudes behind a bush and I'll meet up with you That doesn't sound plausible. Couldn't you out of the like call out like hey, where are you guys? It's actually that I You'll probably hear them.
Starting point is 00:19:25 It's probably pretty quiet. There's no little wilderness in Montana. It's not loud like OPIS podcast. You'll be able to hear where they are. You just have to come out to them. I just thought that was fascinating. The people, I've never run that in an orbit before. That's this person deceased because he took a shit
Starting point is 00:19:42 and did a good thing. He's running his buddies after this. He wanted it off. He had a piss real bad and then there was all him again. That's one way to dive alcoholism. You know, if you weren't drinking so much, you wouldn't have had to go pee so much. And now look at you.
Starting point is 00:19:55 Walk the wrong direction for two days. No. It's amazing. I thought it was fun that I didn't realize this until we got to this part in the show Where we're actually listening to superheroes doc. I think that two most important lessons when it comes to backcountry travel The first one being you know your own body weight and your fitness level and the second is being Intentional and serious about reducing your pack weight you combine those things and it is it is absolutely remarkable the
Starting point is 00:20:24 the type of backcountry adventure in your pack way, you combine those things and it is, it is absolutely remarkable. The, the type of backcountry adventure, even normal people can pull off and this, whoa, do you hear that? You mean, even normal people can pull off what they just did. Well, and, you know, that's good to know that you probably should be in shape and have a life backpack if you're going to be gone for a week. These guys have done a lot of research to come to those conclusions. Right, Dave, you may be, I can have some stamina to go through the woods for a week. Oh, so like the fat fuck who hasn't walked in three days, shouldn't go on a five-day mountain-year adventure?
Starting point is 00:20:58 Is that what you're saying? Yeah, yeah, that's what he's trying to tell us. Like, you should probably be in tip-top shape. Yeah, no shit. I just want to point out that this guy, Chris, I put together a quick stuttering compilation because he has a hard time finding what word to say all the time. I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I I'm I'm I'm I'm I I so if you ever dealt with a stutter before in your wife and nobody's happy about it the stutter is not happy You're not happy. It's tough to get through. I was listening to some my car going to a gig yesterday Yelling in my car just get to the fucking point cuz I was so mad that I just had to listen to it
Starting point is 00:21:58 I'm like I'm wasting my time. Listen to this at least get to the point If you're gonna say something idiotic just fucking say it already spit it out It was it was torture so nobody wants to hear this and then this fucking interviewer at the end says this Well Chris, is there anything that you wanted to talk about or address that we Talk about you What it at for Christ's sake is like Chris you want to talk some more? Please God, no, no more Christ talking. When I heard that, I'm thinking, I maybe he needs the podcast to go an hour.
Starting point is 00:22:32 Right. I'm gonna stretch for time. That's the only reason he would ask that. So like you said, they finally get done with this, this torturous interview. And then they come back from a little music break and after recap All right, so Ryan what stuck out to you about that conversation I don't know the fact that the guy was stuttering the entire time what he made what stuck out to you
Starting point is 00:22:57 I think I just know to talk That was the thing I noticed Kind of question is that. Oh my God. Yeah. Yeah. Why did you say it was an awful interview? I don't know where the guy was going. We knew all this stuff. And I hope it appealed to the five people that might be listening.
Starting point is 00:23:14 The reason why they talk to him though Jim, I don't know if you realize this, but this guy's got some serious credentials. So Chris has been backpacking seriously for about 15 years now and he's been in the backcountry quite a bit He's C.I.A.C. and Glacier Bay backpacking the Yukon Patagonia Pacific Northwest and the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge He's a wilderness first responder level one avalanche certified Wow, so I guess that for my buddy Chris,
Starting point is 00:23:45 you fucking know all about this shit. I thought that was interesting when I going through the list of credentials that he's a level one avalanche certified. Did you know the right avalanche certification levels? I have no idea what that is. It doesn't make any sense. What what's a level three avalanche certification look like?
Starting point is 00:24:04 Is that just the written test? That's not as impressive. Look, if the guy's been doing it for 15 years, he's obviously, I guess he knows what he's doing because he's still alive. It's true. I'll give that. That's all I'll give him. Yeah, that's true.
Starting point is 00:24:18 I mark some note down at 4230 of the podcast. They go, we got a bonus question. I'm like, I don't know. Please. Just wrap it up. I said, we got a bonus question. I'm like, I don't know. Please. It's like just wrapping up. I said, like, hey, if you want to join our Patreon, we'll put the bonus question up there. I'm like, I don't need anymore. Oh, so let's talk about their empire that they have because this started as a website long before it was a podcast. And I've got good news for you, Jim. If you didn't get enough
Starting point is 00:24:42 content from this podcast, there's much, much more. So if you aren't yet a backpackinglight.com subscriber, please consider subscribing and gain access to nearly a million foreign posts, 4 million words of original content, more than 2,000 articles, and access to our wilderness adventures tracking programs, which we've talked about extensively in the show.
Starting point is 00:25:04 You can subscribe online right now at backpackinglight.com slash subscribe. So I went to this website, I went to this URL to see what's going on. I like to be promoting this with over what is it? Four million forum posts. Yeah, and somebody words. Right. Right. I count the words. Man, I'm going to get what a deal.
Starting point is 00:25:26 I'm getting with you. I'm like, right, then I get all these words. It's all about quantity for me. I just need to know there's tons of it because I got nothing but time. That's all I want to do is read all these shitty forum posts. Now what did I charge for this? They do.
Starting point is 00:25:42 So they have the premium package, which is the most popular according to the website, that goes for $27 a year. So, okay, that's not crazy. I don't know if that breaks down to a month, but a little over two bucks, not a big deal, right? They have another package, it's unlimited. Now, you talk about all these foreign phones,
Starting point is 00:26:03 and 2000 articles and all this stuff they have. You got to think you want the unlimited. I mean, all these words, right? Right. $137 a year. These guys have the balls. They think that they're better than Netflix or Amazon Prime. $137.
Starting point is 00:26:19 What does that get you to $137? Every form and every article? Well, I'll get you early enrollment because these assholes are the ones who organize these fucking trucks that they go on. So they get a bunch of dummies from all around the country to fly in and risk their lives in the cold and wet outdoors. And you get the early sign up for that. That's pretty sweet.
Starting point is 00:26:43 You know, yeah, you know what, I want the early sign up. The rage against machine is back together. I'm joining their fucking, their fan club so I can get the presale fucking tickets. That's what I'll sign up for. That would make more of an assholes that I don't know. Well, that's the funny thing. I like that you put it in that term because when you get the early tickets, you can get good seats.
Starting point is 00:27:03 Oh, I want to sit up front for the show. Sweet. I'm in the fan club. I can do that. These guys, they're not going to sell out slots to this fucking Mount Montana adventure that they're going out. This trucking adventure is like, everyone's going to be able to get there. It's fine. If you want to go, you're in. Yeah, I was feeling that they're not going to turn people down.
Starting point is 00:27:23 Sorry, we're all sold out. Sold out of what? It's the wilderness. There's plenty of space for all of us. And I know what that you're going. I'll just follow you. Yeah, right. I'm just going to show up there.
Starting point is 00:27:35 Yeah, yeah. What are you going to tell me to go home? I'm not. I think that we figured out a way to gain the system here. I know. There's no way I've paid $137 a year for this. All right, a couple more clips that I want to play real quick. Apparently, you listen to the podcast, you heard all about this crazy
Starting point is 00:27:55 trick they went on, you're probably going to want to learn more about it. If you want to get a feel for what this trick was like, you know, obviously listen to this podcast, what you're doing. And then over on Instagram, we told the story of the trek day by day through photos and and captions. So check it out over on Instagram.com slash backpacking light. No. I went to these guys Instagram just to check out and see what's going on. Yeah. Yeah, you'd be, you'd be really excited to see it, Jim.
Starting point is 00:28:32 They have campsites, there's pictures of campsites. Oh, I'm looking at it right now. Yeah. Just click on the link. Yeah, there's people, there's pictures of like the wilderness mountains. There's a guy with his dog. It's really exciting shit. Oh yeah, there's some really good ones. Is a, yeah, they're in the wilderness.
Starting point is 00:28:52 Yeah, it's where sunglasses and there's trees in the background. Yeah. Because when I'm on Instagram, do I want to look like a half naked chicken or bathtub? No, no, that's boring. I want to see these guys hiking.
Starting point is 00:29:05 Yeah, yeah, they got a picture of a tent. Ooh, that's boring. I want to see these guys hiking. Yeah, yeah, I got a picture to tent. That's a sweet tent right there. What's that made of fire? It is a video of them making a fire around some rocks. So that's good. That's good to know that I see some snow in the ground. Have a feeling it might be cold that you might have to start a fire. Jesus Christ. Could you imagine living vicariously through these assholes? Like, I don't have the balls to do this.
Starting point is 00:29:26 I really wish I could, but I'll just watch what they're doing. How do they have 15,000 followers? I know. As I tell you, they have a fucking outbuyer. Holy shit. I know. They're probably making a shit ton of money at 137 a year. If they have, you know, some percentage
Starting point is 00:29:42 of those people doing that, they're doing pretty well. They had a volume. I'm sure on Instagram you could buy 10,000 for, you know, a grand. There's no way 15,000 people would follow this. I hope that's true. They don't see like tech-sevy gens, but I hope that's true. I hope they figured out a way to gain the system. There's at the end of the show, they're talking about the gear and, and of course, the Garmin is a piece of gear that you're going to need when you're hiking. And the guy asks a very nerdy question. When using the Garmin Phoenix 5X plus in navigation mode, what was the battery life like?
Starting point is 00:30:21 And when I heard him say that, we haven't picked on these guys for how they talk yet. It reminded me, I've heard that voice before, and I went and found it. In episode BF12, you were battling barbarians while riding a winged appleusa, yet in the very next scene, my dear, you're clearly a top-of-a-winged Arabian, pleased to explain it.
Starting point is 00:30:42 You would think that outdoorsmen would be like manly men, probably talking about football or fucking horrors. No, these guys are dewebes. They're all excited about what gear they got. Oh, I gotta do, I gotta do 10, 10, I don't even know what the fuck. I couldn't even think of an example of gear that I would need to go camping, that's how I live and I am for this shit. Yeah, you would think they would talk like Zach Wilde
Starting point is 00:31:04 or from Pantera, you know what I mean? Like, just go to your show. Yeah, we'd just go out there and fucking do it, you know? But no, it didn't not these guys. How, what's the battery life? Like, who cares? Kids are shit. Just bring an extra one.
Starting point is 00:31:17 Just use it when you need it. Don't have it on the whole time. Who cares? It's a fucking compass. You got 11 assholes going. Everybody bring two batteries and we'll be fine. Yeah, we'll be fine. It's all good.
Starting point is 00:31:29 And since we're talking about how weird this show is, that it's really for men, listen to this theme song. Look for me in the mountains Where I walk in as a theme song. That's the first note I wrote in my put this on. Theme music, shock. It's terrible. All right. I wrote it when I put this on theme music, sock, it's what I'm gonna call.
Starting point is 00:32:08 All right. I think we've covered this enough. Anything else you want to talk about? These guys? No, I think I pretty much, it's, yeah, there's really nothing there. I don't, I just, you know, there's a million podcasts out there and you're one, they're like, who listen to this?
Starting point is 00:32:23 But I don't know how long they've been doing this, but a lot of these podcasts, people start up and then they're done in like 10 weeks as nobody gives a shit. They got no advertisers. Then I'm making any money and nobody's listening. So hopefully that will happen with this. Well, you know, it's not gonna happen to us.
Starting point is 00:32:39 Our buddy Patrick Michael, this guy is energized by a single download and he will go on and on forever. I want to quickly play my new stinger to get us into the Patrick Michael segment. That's enough of that shit. So this is a episode that we listened to of mostly normal. So Patrick Michael has like 20 podcasts that he does. And we've been talking a lot about the nine minute podcasts lately. We've talked about chewed gum a lot, but this mostly normal podcast is what he does with his girlfriend, Carly, except for he put out a half an hour long episode the other day
Starting point is 00:33:30 that was called mostly solo because Carly was not involved in it. So it's just him, which is the case of all of his podcast. I don't know why he has all these different podcasts. They're all exactly the same. You know, you probably shouldn't spread yourself thin when the main one you do sucks. Right. You know, like, you know, like Adam Corolla, you know, had his podcast and then he, you know, he branched out to other ones because he was good at what he did. And I'll do another one with Dr. Drew.
Starting point is 00:34:00 I'll do this one about cars, whatever. That's fine. He was like the number one podcast for a long time. This guy goes, no, we're going to do, I'm going to do 17 different ones. He would be great at darts if he had unlimited darts to throw every round. I think that's his strategy in life.
Starting point is 00:34:19 So he talks about why he started the nine minute podcast. And one of the things that I love about our buddy Patrick is his own hypocrisy. He says one thing and then the exact opposite moments later. Here's an example of that. And speaking on those, man, I just started a new podcast. Well, really, I took an old podcast and I revamped it and it has became something completely different known as the 9 Minute Podcast.
Starting point is 00:34:44 You might have heard of it. You might not have. That's fine. Either way, it is a fun project. It was basically me thinking like, Hey, people are complaining that I'm going and ranting for too long about specific subjects that I should, I should have stayed on track with something else, specific whatever. So I figure, you know what, let's chop it down. Let's do nine minutes. All right. People who are complaining that is a rance we're going on too long. Have you ever heard that complaint for, and you like to rant on your show? Have you ever ever complained you ran for too long? No. People listen to podcasts, you can rant for an hour about the same thing and nobody cares. If it's funny, the length of it doesn't matter.
Starting point is 00:35:21 thing and nobody cares. If it's funny, the length of it doesn't matter. It exactly, it doesn't matter. Nobody says, I really liked your monologue. Every joke landed, but why is it over seven minutes? Get cut that monologue down to four minutes. It'd be so much better. No, if it's good, the length is not the issue here. It's the content.
Starting point is 00:35:40 You fucking retard. You know that he got one email probably from a guy he went to high school with today, man. I listen to your podcast and like I think you just you rant about that thing a little too long. I thought but I thought I thought it was great. Yeah, probably went on a little too long and then he's like, oh man, now I got it. Now I got to start another podcast. So he's like, no one email to start this new podcast. He is easily influenced by a single voice,
Starting point is 00:36:05 which I'll talk about in a minute. But so he starts up this show, say, I got this new show out, Nine Minute Podcast. The reason for it is because I got to keep my rants down in length, so I'm just, I'm forcing myself to do it in nine minutes. That's the premise. And then not 30 seconds later, he says this.
Starting point is 00:36:20 That's the whole concept. I try to hit a nine minute mark. Sometimes I go over and hey, let that be. It's fine And I think I prefer it actually I prefer to not just stick with nine minutes if I can It sucks, but sometimes I try to hit the nine minutes and when I don't it's because I'm talking about something that I really enjoy talking about and I can't stop myself Patrick, then why are we even talking about? I thought that was the whole point of the rule. Just call us your podcast. Don't get up.
Starting point is 00:36:49 You first you say nine, then you go, I might go over and if I do, hey, that's just the way it is. Sometimes I let you go all, but you just said I'm gonna keep it at nine minutes. I created this rule for myself when I break it all the time. Well, then you didn't create a rule for yourself. You fucking idiots.
Starting point is 00:37:04 It's not rules work. He talks about for some reason he gets into talking about how he wish he played football for a junior college because if he wanted to want a championship he would have gotten a ring and That would have been cool to have And then he goes on and talks about how in his high school he would have gotten a ring and that would have been cool to have. And then he goes on and talks about how in his high school,
Starting point is 00:37:30 one of his friends won a state championship and received a ring. And you can really tell what a great friend Patrick Michael is from this clip. I remember back when I was in high school and our high school band won the state championship. And I had a friend who was in the band and he had showed me the rings and it's like, dude, I mean, that's pretty sweet, but it's like so obvious that it's not for athletics. But I mean, it's still cool.
Starting point is 00:37:56 Jewelry, I guess, to have. Well, first off, it's not cool, Jewelry, to have. No, no, no. You're in a band, you don't want to hide that forever. But I love that his thought was That would be a cool ring, but no one's believing that that is for an athletic endeavor Right because the band nerd is wearing it. The guy is in the band Nobody thinks he's the star quarterback. It's very obvious. Yeah, he weighs 120 pounds and he's five four And he plays a shit out of a trumpet.
Starting point is 00:38:25 But I don't know. Yeah, we have a feeling he's not your starting inside linebacker. And I love that. I love that this fucking idiot goes to an anecdote where he says, you know, I'd love to get a ring. Actually in high school and you think like, oh, what did you do in high school? I had a friend who was in a thing that got to say, okay, so that's not even really interesting
Starting point is 00:38:45 or important, it's not you. And you made fun of the fucking kid who achieved more than you ever will. When I was listening to this, I had it on and my son, my nine-year-old son, was in the other room and he goes, Dad, who is this guy? He sounds constipated.
Starting point is 00:38:59 That's what a nine-year-old, and then when he said about his girlfriend, he goes, and he just yelled out, there's no way this guy has a girlfriend. Oh, that were two notes from a nine year old. Oh, and there's no background. Why isn't he on the show right now? Can we swap?
Starting point is 00:39:11 I can't see it. This guy sounds constipated. Who is this? Jim, you've been great, but then he just didn't get your son to come out instead. Maybe. I mean, that's hilarious. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:22 This, he starts talking about the TV that he wants. We talk a lot about the TV that he watches. I don't know if you know anything about this character, but he's a stay-at-home dad. Yeah, yes, I do know. OK, his girlfriend. His family is expanding, he told us. Yes, he's got two kids now with his girlfriend.
Starting point is 00:39:38 And his girlfriend is the only one who works in the family. They live in a trailer park in Indiana. And so he has a lot of time to watch TV and he gets off on the sopranos. And that makes me wonder man, a lot of people talk about the sopranos and I have failed. I have failed you to watch more than I think three episodes. I don't know why. Does it get better after this? I mean the first three episodes are okay. It wasn't enough to be like, okay, well, like, this is all I can do for the next, you know, two weeks. I got to watch all of this. Haven't done it. I mean, there's been like three other HBO shows that I've done that with.
Starting point is 00:40:13 Not the sopranos, though. Is there a reason I have no idea? You tell me. We just got a homework assignment, Jim. We need to figure out why he doesn't like the sopranos and then tell him why that is. Yeah, that's what I got to do. I got to explain to him that it's probably, you know, in the top five, top three greatest TV shows in history. Maybe you should hang in there and see the characters develop a little bit,
Starting point is 00:40:34 you know, maybe by episode four or five, six you'll get the hang of it, how everybody is and where the story is going to go. Try not to bail on the first three episodes. Guys, I didn't care for the greatest TV show that was ever made. Can you tell me why that is? Yeah, it's because you're an idiot.
Starting point is 00:40:50 That's why. I don't know what else to tell you. You got seven podcasts going on. I'm trying to watch the fucking rest of the episodes. Oh my God, he does talk about how much he does and how much he accomplishes because he's also a musician and this is fantastic. I've also been releasing some new music. I just released two different videos on Animal Crossing. Two different freestyle videos, which are really fun. I have plenty more coming guys. I make so much music. It's crazy.
Starting point is 00:41:18 It's almost like, where does this guy find the time to do all of the things that he does because believe me with my 18 19 podcast shows plus music plus recording videos for artwork it's just it's a lot of stuff man and I'm staying on my grind. He's very impressed with himself. This is a guy who has no job. He's unemployed, breaking about how much he accomplished his life on his podcast. You know, if the guy was being, you know, ironic and just being a being silly and like, you know, how it's turned back in a day, just brag, I'm king of all media, I miss some that, then, you know, it's funny when someone brags like that. Well, like when Trump brags, it's like funny sometimes little brag, but this guy, it's like, you're
Starting point is 00:42:00 he's being serious. Like I do a lot of shit. That's what I when you watch those two kids. I want to know Yeah, that's what I want to know too. We're all from with these two kids I want to see where he got his father of the year ring That's what I want to see out his figure cuz I don't think he's watching these kids I want wait as he where where does he have a where does he podcast in that trail of home? I want to I'm curious well he does figure it out like what spot would his no kids crying in the background or anything? I don't have the clip, but he literally says he created a studio in his closet.
Starting point is 00:42:32 Oh, it's in his closet. Okay, he's in his closet. So think about that. Jimmy's got two babies and he's closing the door on them in order to talk and do a microphone about nonsense for 20 minutes at a time. He's built in his empire. He's got, you know, five or six podcasts. He's doing all these music. He said, what was in a met. He said he was a metal singer. I know.
Starting point is 00:42:54 He doesn't sound like a guy that would be in a metal band at all. He sounds like a guy that would make the fucking team music to that backpacking fucking pot. Well, you're right about that because the one thing that he has is a good voice. People have said I do have a good voice, so that's nice. That makes me more confident in my podcasting, no matter how I set up my recording or the content that I have. People like the voice.
Starting point is 00:43:19 I've even gotten a one star in a rating and a lady still said I had a good voice. I think that means something that's pretty good. He's like on a one star review. It's pretty good. I think that means something. Yeah, he doesn't care about the content that you know, people pick it apart as contours as long as his voice sounds good. He's good. He literally says, right or that, he tells you the order of importance to put on a good podcast is these three things. I got that's the number one thing you need Number one good voice number two Interesting content number three
Starting point is 00:43:53 Improvise Is that amazing anyone who's starting a podcast just no number one good voice number two content Distance second and then three is improvised one good voice number two content, distant second, and then three is improvised. Well, I didn't know. I was, you know, I've been doing podcasts of what like nine years I wasn't. I didn't know that those were the rules.
Starting point is 00:44:11 That's good to know. It's good to know. So I focus on the content and the improvizing and, you know, and make sure my voice is up the par. I have to tell you, Jim, this guy is the most unintentionally funny person on the internet. And his show becomes addictive. I have to listen to his show.
Starting point is 00:44:30 It's so compelling that what he says, he's so stupid, but confident about it. He's so much confidence in the dumb things that he says. I think this guy might be spreading himself a little too thin. You might think he just focused on one podcast. It'd be amazing. Oh, I'm sure it'd be nuts. I'm sure. I just think he's just doing too much.
Starting point is 00:44:52 Even though he's so motivated and he wants to tell you how much, how can he get all this stuff done, what he's unemployed, and it doesn't seem like he doesn't watch his kids. So it seems like he would have plenty of time to do all this shit. It's you who thinks so. So he talks about the fact that he hasn't put out a new episode of this mostly normal in a couple of weeks and he's got a lot to talk about. Got a lot of stuff to get out there.
Starting point is 00:45:12 A lot of interesting things been going on the last couple of weeks before I recorded this episode. And you know, we got to talk about it. Get it out there. Because I know there is an audience. Certain people out there really like listening to my podcast. That's me. You correct sir. I am the first in listening to your podcast can't get enough of it Certain people meeting about seven people There's seven people and they're all in our discord right now I get non-stop DMs from people you got to hear what he said on this episode. They're giving me time stamps
Starting point is 00:45:44 I can't even keep up with that Anyway, so he says guys, I've been writing down all these notes. I got so much to talk about. There's so much is going on in my life I've been waiting to get this podcast out and get you all up to date on what's going on So you think like great guys an anecdote. Maybe some funny stories something happened This is a very next thing that he says, after he says, I got all this shit that's going on in my life. Another great podcast, a podcast that I love dearly, and I've talked about many times on many shows.
Starting point is 00:46:14 Recently found itself doing a live show in my home state of Indiana. Oh, okay, so he's talking about Kill Tony. Is it my worth Kill Tony? Yeah, yes. He loves Kill Tony. He does a show called Kill Mondays where he reviews Kill Tony and Tony Hinchcliffe is great. That shows great and He says all right a lot to talk about Kill Tony came to my home state of Indiana. I'm a huge fan of it
Starting point is 00:46:37 It came around so I'm okay cool. So this kind of big it's story here. Then he says I didn't get to go oh So the big news in your life is that a show you like was near you. Okay. Leads. But yeah, but he didn't go. He did go. He gets a podcast about the show. It was in his home state, which they'd come through it every three years. They'll come through in the end and he doesn't go. He doesn't go. So he goes out to say that he wouldn't like to have gone for this reason. The podcast is known as Killtoni and they were
Starting point is 00:47:11 just in Fort Wayne and I was curious about the comics like how good are the other comics in Indiana. Are they funny? What kind of material are they doing? I want to point something out. What he said there, he goes, I'm curious about what the other comics in Indiana are doing. So he's put himself into this group of people. You know, I'm just one of the comics like all the other comics here in Indiana. I would like to see what they're up to. See if they're biting off any of my material or not.
Starting point is 00:47:41 You know, you gotta check these guys from time to time. If he's such a big fan of the show, how did he not know it was coming the Fort Wayne Indiana? He did know. And he didn't know, but he just didn't go. He just didn't go. You know, because, hey, one of my kids was sick and I couldn't leave. Okay, no problem.
Starting point is 00:47:58 We get, we get it while you didn't go. He could have come up with an excuse. He did not. He just said, I didn't go. The show that I lost, he finds it weird that there's, you know, that didn't go. He could have come up with an excuse. He did not. He just said, I didn't go. The show that I love finds it weird that there's, you know, that didn't just use Indiana comics. They use comics. Comics came from all over, which is a huge podcast. Well, of course, they would. Right. Comics going to come from Cleveland and make the three hour drive to be on that show. Yeah. For sure. Especially in the Midwest. It's just, it should just be Indiana comic.
Starting point is 00:48:25 You think fucking Tony Hengeclips gives a shit. He's like, okay, I got 10 people assigned up. Perfect, we'll do the show. Right, it doesn't matter where they're from. And he's concerned that Indiana wasn't well represented there. And then he complains about the people who did show up just to watch it in the audience. But yeah, man, it was a cool show still.
Starting point is 00:48:43 I like the show. Killton is one of the best shows, but seeing that, you know, they come all the way to Indiana and we don't, we don't show up, man. She didn't show up. All right. All right. Are you seeing the irony here?
Starting point is 00:48:56 Yeah. Yeah. The biggest fan probably wanted the biggest fans of the show with Indiana. Yeah. Him didn't show up and that he's bitching that everyone else didn't show up. He he's bitching that everyone else didn't show up.
Starting point is 00:49:05 He's literally saying, guys, we're never going to come back to Indiana again if we don't show up to these things. He's going to cross us off the list. It's a gas dummy, right? Why did you go?
Starting point is 00:49:17 That's the whole thing. Like, what are you not understanding of this works? I could have had three podcasts full of materials if we did go. Right? Something interesting to talk about. Sometimes you gotta have to have to experience
Starting point is 00:49:33 of something good, this would be perfect for a podcast to talk about. Oh, so let me let's back up there, Jim. I wanna unpack that a little bit. So you're saying in order to be an interesting person, you have to have an interesting life and experience things. Yes. Not just in your college and watch television all day. Is that what you're trying to say? Yeah, yeah, and now it's a bail on the sopranos after three episodes.
Starting point is 00:49:54 You know, you want to have an anecdote that isn't I tried to watch the the sopranos I couldn't get into it moving on. I heard you shut the godfather off at the 15 minutes. He's like, I don't know where this is going, but I don't care. There's no plot to this fucking thing. What are they doing? Oh, shit. So he goes on because he faches himself
Starting point is 00:50:18 a stand-up comedian. He's done stand-up twice with note cards in hand. He goes on to explain that if he were to go to a killtoni taping and the way killtoni works if you haven't listened to it is if you want to do stand up, you put your name on a card, you put it in a hat, Tony randomly pulls out names, you get 60 seconds to do your stand up routine, 60 seconds, that's it, you just got to do one minute of stand up and then they talked to you for the next five to 10 minutes. And they might shit on you
Starting point is 00:50:48 or they might tell you you're great or what to work on or they just try to get understand who you are and what you're doing. And it's a fascinating show. I enjoy it a lot. So this is perfect for this guy. He does stand up.
Starting point is 00:50:59 He loves this show. He wants to be on the show. He even has a fantasy about going on the show and putting his name in the hat. I will say, I would love to do that show. I would most definitely sign up, and I am one of those comedians, that I would sign up, hoping that I wouldn't get picked,
Starting point is 00:51:19 and then I would get picked, and I wouldn't have prepared my two, like I didn't think of anything I was gonna say before I got up there and I would just wing it This is this guy's fantasy Holy shit. It shows up unprepared His fantasy is to sign up but not to get picked But if he does get picked then he's not gonna have be have any material prepared. Does that tell you everything you need to know about this guy His favorite show he wants to be a stand-up And he's like, if I got on that show,
Starting point is 00:51:46 I wouldn't be prepared. A fantasy of his that was in his state that he didn't go. Right. All this actually could have happened. You could have been there unprepared and gotten picked. Why didn't you? And I wanted you. Maybe it probably, maybe he should have, you know,
Starting point is 00:52:02 if he did get picked or if he's fixing his might, he's to sign up. He might think about the materially might do on the drive over there. All right. If I get called, let me get my minute together, one minute of material, which is probably three jokes, two jokes. Right. It's not difficult, but this guy's going, I would hope to not get picked. The whole point of putting your hat, your name in the hat, is you're hoping to get picked you want to go on the show. So you don't want to get picked and just go to the show and sit in the audience. That's what most people do. Yeah, just a third watch it. You don't have to be nervous or anything.
Starting point is 00:52:36 You just enjoy yourself. So I want to say this Tony Hinchcliffe, if you're listening to this show, you have to get Patrick Michael on your show. Okay, it's a fly out to LA or what you have to do, put him up in a five-star hotel. It would be so worth it. Just for the interview portion after they do the 60 seconds of standup, it would be fast. I think he would probably take over the show. Yeah, yeah, he definitely would. And then he could plug his seven podcasts. I don't even think he could name all of his podcasts if you put them on the spot. I don't even think he would know.
Starting point is 00:53:08 He points out in this other episode I was to do that one of his shows is blowing up lately. I just recently found out that one of my podcasts is doing, I don't know why, but one of my podcasts is blowing up. I mean, it's not the first time that this has happened, but it took me a minute to figure out which one it was. Because I knew one of them was doing some numbers, but I didn't know what kind of numbers it was doing until I actually went over there and looked today. Happened to log into that account to post a new episode and I'm like, oh wow, what? That's weird. So of course, luckily, lucky for me, I guess I find this out as I'm posting new content Which is always better
Starting point is 00:53:49 At least right I mean it just works out so much better that people are enjoying your content already And then you're like oh well I'm posting new content right now. So it's kind of hookline and sinker right that's how hookline and sinker means I love when he gets bragged docious and gets really full of himself. This does this story doesn't make any sense. This is not none of this is true. First of all, how could he know a podcast was blowing up when he didn't check the numbers? Right. He goes, I knew one of my podcast was getting big numbers. I didn't know which one of them I was, I didn't blow this one was blowing up. Like, what how does that work? How would that happen?
Starting point is 00:54:22 You don't know if this, you know know a certain person's on a podcast or whatever if it did well is to check the numbers You don't know before that right? You have no clue So he the other thing he does is he's got 19 podcasts. He doesn't ever tell us which one was blowing up All right, that's a secret you think he would plug the one that's really hot right now Right, I because I would want to check that out. I want to would plug the one that's really hot right now. Right. Because I would want to check that out. I would be like, why is this one so awesome right now?
Starting point is 00:54:48 Probably because I talked about it, but I don't know. It could be another reason. Who knows? Could be a lot of things going on. I wonder if it's the nine minute podcast, which he's hoping to do nine, but he might do more. And if I do more, sometimes I can't get the point if the nine minutes. He actually prefers to do over nine minutes, he said.
Starting point is 00:55:06 It's a nine minute podcast, but you guys don't understand. I can do as long as I want to. And so that would be like if I had who are these podcasts, review podcasts, but sometimes I don't even review podcasts. It doesn't matter. What are you doing? What are you doing?
Starting point is 00:55:20 If you have a promise for your show, you got to sync with the promise. Oh, shit. All right, this is gonna sing with the promise. Holy shit. Alright, this is just a quick clip I want to play. It might be the last one where, I don't know if you got this far in the episode, but there's these weird breaks and pauses and then he comes back on again. It's almost like he's doing this on real time and never edits anything. I went to the whole podcast.
Starting point is 00:55:44 I was driving home from a gig last time I almost fell asleep at the week I did and I was gonna go fucking calls responsible for this death by shamus Yeah, I did hear this part right where if you want to get some stuff. This is crazy. You get a listen close He's talking off the microphone and he's recording. He doesn't realize it Just when you think that you haven't done enough time, they buy only your parole. We're not just savages. Oh shit, we're recording. So just random stuff, man, just to close out the show here. I can't believe, I mean, is he doing this at purpose? Is this like an anti-copy thing? Am I falling for this?
Starting point is 00:56:25 Is it possible? The one he was talking about there was he talking about someone that he knows with the parole or whatever he's talking about, you know? Yeah, it was obviously something that you don't wanna have on the internet. No. Right?
Starting point is 00:56:38 It seemed like it was personal and private. He's talking about a whole. If you can be listed in a trailer park, there's probably some shady shit going on in that trailer park. There's probably some shady shit going on in that trailer park. There's definitely some shady shit going out of that other part. There's not a lot of upstanding citizens hanging out there. I know. So he's talking to someone I don't know the TV is newborn babies, someone about someone with parole and then he's like, Oh, shit, I'm recording. Hey, so anyway, to why, who did you pull that out? Posed. I know.
Starting point is 00:57:06 You cut that. Oh, he even goes out to talk about how he edits. It's a rare occurrence that I'm going out of my way and doing heavy editing to these shows. No shit, sir! Yeah, I can tell. I can tell it's a rare occurrence when you want to edit something, because the one instance rare occurrence when you want to edit something because the one incident
Starting point is 00:57:26 You would definitely want to edit something out you didn't and it wasn't even heavy at it You could have done that a two seconds right you can look at the waveform and just see that. Oh, it's really quiet right here I'll just pop that part out you can just look at it and know to edit that out I'm just gonna you know what I don't want to play anymore clips But I just want to leave this right here for everybody just, you know what, I don't want to play anymore clips, but I just want to leave this right here for everybody just so you know about it. I definitely get over to my TikTok. It's at mostly, mostly normal TV posting some artwork over there.
Starting point is 00:57:59 And that's kind of what I've been doing lately, man. I just, I actually put my first two stand-up performances together in kind of what I'm doing lately man. I just uh I actually put my first two stand-up performances together in kind of just audio form and posted those out there for the world. It's on my YouTube as well. You can check that shit out man. It's pretty interesting. I don't know if that's important to anyone but I just figured I'd love people know that that exists. Well look I mean it's good disguise an artist too. He's got a lot. drugs. He sings in a metal band. He draws. He's to create music. He's got nine podcasts. He's got two kids. He's got a girlfriend.
Starting point is 00:58:33 He's got a lot of shit going on. Please son. He's done two different stand-ups. That's two. I don't know if you've watched these. I have. You know, as a comic, you don't you're embarrassed by the first, you know, the first three years of your world. You don't want out there by the first, you know, the first three years of your work, you don't want out there. Right. Let alone your first two sets ever. I can tell you as a musician, the first decade and a half of every song that I wrote and played. I don't want anyone to every year. It's cringeworthy. This guy's putting this shit out there at the Internet and promoting it. His two his two first open mics ever he's putting
Starting point is 00:59:05 out there. It's on YouTube and I put him together you go listen to it. And he bombed. You know like some people say the first time I went out there I did really well. Maybe all your friends are there or you're kind of like you have nothing to lose so you're just loose and you some people have a good first set. This guy had terrible first sets. And he's still putting out there. I'm curious to terrible first sets. And he's still pretty good. I'm curious to hear his sets. I didn't hear them. Well, apparently they're at TikTok.
Starting point is 00:59:29 So if you wanna go over there and check that out. I'm not nine years old. I'm not on fucking TikTok. I was waiting for you to say that you're not nine. I'm so excited. And as I say five, sometimes. Oh my God, you just, you're just maybe fanboy out when you said that.
Starting point is 00:59:43 It's awesome. Jim, I know you gotta get running. I just wanna talk about one more thing with you and it's your buddy, Stuttering John. I'm not gonna make fun of this show. I know that you guys are friends, but I wanna play you this clip and just get your reaction to this
Starting point is 00:59:59 because I don't know if you've been following this thing but John's not happy with what we say about him and rather than ignore us like, oh, he does. He's been threatening legal action. He did this again on his show just this week. Here's a quick clip of that. And yeah, that's gonna, yeah, I already, uh, I already have the person who, uh, will be getting a letter from my attorney. I have his address.
Starting point is 01:00:23 Uh, I know where he lives. I even have his phone number. So, I mean, you know, don't worry. Don't worry. Dude, you're fucking with the wrong guy, okay? All right. So, knowing John Mulandas, is he talking about you?
Starting point is 01:00:39 He is. He's talking about how he's got my name and address and phone number and his attorney is gonna be in in touch and I was like, what's his ang- what does he think the endgame is here? I don't know, you know, it's it's weird because John's a comic and you know, I mean, he's famous for ballbusters right? He's a troll. What this show is is ballbusters. Whatever, you know, like that's what we do is comics. That's what you do. You just fucking, you know, you wear a bad shirt
Starting point is 01:01:05 You walk in a room yanging at your balls bus to 10 15 minutes and John knows that being from New York So I don't know. I don't know to me. I you know, it's good publicity if you're playing this podcast Oh, so I would look at it. I agree talk originally you go. Yeah, people have called, you know Send me emails about doing your podcast like oh, yeah, I can see people make it fun of it. Absolutely. Right. I would like, yeah, whatever. Yeah, I mean, yeah, it says some glitches in it and there's pauses and some, some
Starting point is 01:01:31 of them aren't that good, but whatever. I wouldn't care. No, well, of course you wouldn't care because you have a good sense of humor about yourself. We did Pat Oates's podcast a few weeks ago. And he went on Anthony Cumian and said said those guys crushed me and it was great. I robbed it. You have to be able to laugh at yourself obviously to be a funny person and John could go too route in my opinion. He could crush us right back. If he is this still very famous
Starting point is 01:02:01 podcaster with a big audience, why wouldn't he go on and just play clips of me and just be like, this guy fucking sucks. He's a nobody and make fun of us. Instead, he doesn't say her name, he doesn't want to give us publicity. And he threatens legal action. Well, that doesn't make any sense. Just ignore us.
Starting point is 01:02:18 I wouldn't stop talking about him. I mean, you're allowed to play people's clips, right? I mean, I... Yes, he plays Howard Stern clips on his show. And he thinks he could sue me. I don't listen to his podcast. So I don't know. I know I know I just come on about something or whatever,
Starting point is 01:02:33 but I don't know, you know, like I, you know, we're, I haven't seen him in a while, you know, but he's always been, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know what's going on. Do you know Chris? I like him, you know, but look, all my friends are crazy and they're all nuts. So it's like, I'm just like, yeah, I know that.
Starting point is 01:02:48 Yeah, I mean, he's not, you know, I'm good friends with already lying and he's completely out of control. And then he's OK. And then he's not. And you know, like, I don't know, man, I just, you know, by the way, I'm like friends. By the way, I'll just say this real quick. If you haven't wasn't already on Joe Rogan yet, you have to.
Starting point is 01:03:04 It's awesome. Awesome. Awesome you have to it's awesome awesome interview And it's great to hear that already's doing a lot better. I actually believe at this time He said this many times but this time I believe it so I know I'll say I'll say this Jim I like stuttering John too. I grew up a huge fan I remember going to the theater to see private parts and John comes in at the end and he's freaking out Why wasn't I in the movie? Thought that was funny, that was a good bit. I don't have anything against John.
Starting point is 01:03:29 I made fun of his show and now he's made this way bigger than it should be. People who listen to my show are now listening to Suttering John and picking up on things. Our buddy PJ Phillyum created this quick, we'll call it a song. This is John Malen is talking to Chrissy Mayer. You know Chrissy?
Starting point is 01:03:49 Yeah, yeah, I know Chrissy. All right, so apparently I haven't listened to this show, but apparently it was a little bit of a creep when he was interviewing Chrissy. Go figure. So this is a fun compilation that PJ put together for us. Hey Chrissy. Hey, Chrissy. Hey, how are you?
Starting point is 01:04:06 Good, how are you? Super. I read you by, oh, you're a funny comic. So many people, I have you at sex with. Did one bang you from behind and then you blew the other one? Now you turn of me on, now you're like orgasms or I have a real problem with my smegma. You know what smegma is?
Starting point is 01:04:23 Smegma is the cheese-like substance found under the foreskin of an uncircumcised penis. How do you like that? How do you like orgasms? Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go.
Starting point is 01:04:36 Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. All right. Well, we don't have to talk anymore about that. You should go on a show, though, Jim, and put in a good one. Yeah, I'll see you at some point, or whatever. I'm not going to be a lot of people.
Starting point is 01:04:45 All right. We don't have to talk anywhere about that. You should go on a show though, Jim. Put in a good way. I'll see if I'm at some point or whatever.
Starting point is 01:04:53 I don't know what's going on. We kind of lost touch. He's been in LA for years. We have texts here and there once in a while. But, you know, I don't know. I wouldn't take it personally,
Starting point is 01:05:01 but that's just me. I'm just, you know, my whole life is bust and balls. So if I get it back, I'm like, I can't complain about it. Right. Yeah, that's the way I look at it. Okay, I observed it. I probably can't know how that's where I go. Tell most people are. Exactly.
Starting point is 01:05:11 It's just like, you know, real quick. This is everybody's favorite part of the show. We'll teach you to switch things. We'll teach you to switch things. We'll teach you to switch things. We'll teach you to switch things. This is the part of the show we play a clip from the podcast that we'll be reviewing on next week's episode. And I'm very excited. We had Jim Forantine on this week on a huge fan of and I've had a great time talking to you next week on the schedule as Dick Masterson.
Starting point is 01:05:41 Another person on a huge fan of and we'll be reviewing this podcast together. This is a show where we talk about being non-binary. Mm-hmm. A lot of people don't know what the hell that means. So part of why we're doing the show is to talk about what being non-binary means to non-binary people. It's a little different for everyone, I guess. Yeah, here are different experiences. Talk about our own experiences. Allow people who don't know anything to listen to people talk about their experiences.
Starting point is 01:06:20 Yeah, positive space for queer. Yeah, just posi vibes only. Mm hmm. Uh oh. That's not going to go well for the, I wish I could have done this one. Uh, you're more than welcome to Call In, buddy. Oh, yeah, good, yeah, good.
Starting point is 01:06:36 Now you're going to talk about non-binary people. That's going to last about one podcast. Yeah. What are you going to do? This is a show called They Them There's. This is a suggestion from what, who put this in the review suggestions channel of our Discord server.
Starting point is 01:06:53 And they have about 10 episodes out already where it's just talking about what non-binary means. If it takes you 10 episodes or more to explain it, then I don't think it's a real thing. I don't know. that done in nine minutes. Maybe a little looking non-binary. Maybe a little over nine minutes. But that's going to be a lot of fun. Jim, what are you up to, body? You're on the tour right now. Do you have any dates coming up for the creeps with kids tour?
Starting point is 01:07:16 Yeah. CreasyKidsTour.com. All the dates. Me, Bobby Kelly, Rich Faw. I'm going to be a little bit more focused on the kids. I'm going to be a little bit more focused on the kids. I'm going to be a little bit more focused on the kids. I'm going to be a little bit more focused on the kids. I'm going to be a little bit You're on the tour right now. Do you have any dates coming up for the creeps with kids tour? Yeah. CreasakidsTour.com. All the dates. Me, Bobby Kelly, Rich Foss and Ron Bennington.
Starting point is 01:07:31 That's awesome. I didn't know that. You know, we're having a blast. I didn't know Ronny B. That's all we do. We go up on stage at the end of the show and we bust the Chalice Balls for 15 minutes. It's great. No one's offended, no one's knowing, no one cares. I am a huge Ron Bennington fan. The guy is a rock star. You got to see him do stand up. It's, it's like he's been doing it for 30 years. He, I guess he did it back in the day when he lived down in Florida. Yeah. And he just started doing it again, maybe three years ago. He's a rock star in this tour. That's amazing. That's amazing because to go out with you, Bobby Rich, three guys
Starting point is 01:08:04 have been doing it forever. And I've seen all of you guys and you're all amazing for him to be able to go out with you three is a daunting task. That's awesome. And he's unbelievable. I'm like, he's just, you know, most of the time he's just started a show with like, Holy shit. He's a great dude. Yeah. Nobody, nobody nice in the business.
Starting point is 01:08:21 There isn't a funnier off the cuff radio personality than Ronnie B. This guy is so talented, he made FES interesting for years. It's not easy to do. Yeah, he's great. But anyway, yeah, I got that. And then you might get a podcast.
Starting point is 01:08:36 Everybody is awful except you. It comes out every Monday. And your podcast is fantastic. What you do is people will send you in. Look at this Facebook post that somebody, I just saw this on my timeline or someone will send you in. Look at this Facebook post that somebody, I just saw this on my timeline or someone will say, I just looked at this restaurant and there's this Yelp review on here. And you just read whatever these people are posting on the internet and terror to shreds. It's fantastic.
Starting point is 01:08:57 Yeah, every week I do a different one. Like, you know, people with their goofy t-shirts, you know, the chicks with their wine. Like they did want to with their wine like they drink one and they work out you know. You know, the guys that love their girlfriends those t-shirts. So we take you know, or you help reviews or dating sites and all that shit. So every week is a
Starting point is 01:09:18 different topic. Mostly like Facebook. People's bad faith. You know, the guy that takes a picture laying in the hospital bed, you know, because he wants sympathy. When I when I first started listening to be able to get a lot of money. I'm not going to be able to get a lot of money. I'm not going to be able to get a lot of money. I'm not going to be able to get a lot of money.
Starting point is 01:09:29 I'm not going to be able to get a lot of money. I'm not going to be able to get a lot of money. I'm not going to be able to get a lot of money. I'm not going to be able to get a lot of money.
Starting point is 01:09:37 I'm not going to be able to get a lot of money. I'm not going to be able to get a lot of money. I'm not going to be able to get a lot of money. I'm not going to be able to get a lot of money. I'm not going to be able to get a lot of money. I'm not going to be able to get a two of them. Facebook, I guess you can only have one Facebook page.
Starting point is 01:09:45 And I don't give a shit. I'm more I'm happier now. Yeah. The less the better. Do you ever have a guest co-host come on your show and rip on people? Sometimes I'll have like my buddy Chad Zuma con or Don James Center or whatever. Once in a while I have a co-host, but I usually do it on my own. Only because I don't I'm too lazy to book people.
Starting point is 01:10:04 All right. Well, if if you're ever looking for someone to come on, I would love to do. I'm not going to be a big fan of the show. I'm not going to be a big fan of the show. I'm not going to be a big fan of the show. I'm not going to be a big fan of the show. I'm not going to be a big fan of the show. I'm not going to be a big fan of the show. I'm not going to be a big fan of the show. I'm not going to be a big fan of the show. I'm not going to be a big fan of the show.
Starting point is 01:10:11 I'm not going to be a big fan of the show.
Starting point is 01:10:19 I'm not going to be a big fan of the show. I'm not going to so much for coming on the show. You've been fantastic and it was great to talk to you. Thanks, Colin. Appreciate it, man. All right buddy. All right, that was Jim Florentine on the show. So we're gonna finish up the show and do
Starting point is 01:10:39 Voice Males. Is there anyone in the discord? He wants to hop on while we do Voice Males. I see Kaya. You're there. Anyone else who hasn't on the show before? Want to on while we do voicemails? I see Kaya you're there Anyone else who hasn't on the show before want to listen to voicemails with us? Well, I'll let you guys figure that out and in the meantime I'll say What do I say please tune in next week? It might be something we find out once a for all who are these podcasts? Sleep well, everybody. Starting in the most bits of morning radio. Hey, now the show is closed by now. Okay.
Starting point is 01:11:10 Great show. Good job, everybody. Great job, everyone. I'm gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one who's gonna be the one I You know who are these podcasts? I don't know. I don't get it makes no sense All right, did I load up my voice mail somewhere? I did good good Hey, what's up, buddy? What what name do you go by on this show just go to zoo Seagation zoo just go with zoo that works zoo
Starting point is 01:12:23 Thank you, buddy. Thank you for coming on here since Kaya's paying Luigi's mansion in bed right now. So let's play some voicemails real quick. Oh, you know what, I should also talk about cringe of the week. I didn't do it this week because I got a suggestion on the subreddit from a guy named Human the Tree and it was the pod acquisition podcast where apparently Jim acquisition is a video game reviewer out of the UK and it's turned into...
Starting point is 01:12:50 And Jim Sterling. Yeah, Jim Sterling. It's turned into all political talk. So I listened to this podcast and I tried to figure out what to clip and it just didn't make sense to me. I was like, I don't know, this is a cringe worthy thing. I'm sure it sucks, but I Didn't I didn't end up using it All right, let's get into it. Let's kill sits and voicemails. This is someone who I think is local
Starting point is 01:13:14 A budget should know on my work and I just took a monster shit at the waitman Even had a I like the recap at the end. So in case you miss it, just call in to tell you they take shifts now. Yes, I get emails, I get DMs. People are very excited about shooting at work. And it wouldn't offend me except for I go to Wegmans. So I hope he's not doing that in the public facing bathroom. I strongly hope nobody starts sending you pictures of them as well. That would be a shame. If anyone would send me a picture of someone shooting it,
Starting point is 01:14:00 it would be OP who has those readily available on his phone. Oh, this is Vic calls in our favorite female listener. I'm going to go on in the limit and just say Vic is a female listener. I know she sounds like the female. Yeah. I have like that little 12 year old like she seems to coherent to be a 12 year old boy, if that makes any sense. It does. So this is Vic coming in. Hey, Garl, buddy, it's Vic. What the fuck?
Starting point is 01:14:35 First of all, you let Australians call into the fucking show, but every Australian on the goddamn planet. They're all retarded as people who live in the fucking boonies and just fuck like BPS, fucking kangaroos all day. And by fuck of, I mean, you know, the kangaroo fucks them. It's like a prison raping. What's going on down there? Anyway, I don't have a really second point, but fucking release my number. You've got the I'm not going to be a person who is not going to be a person who is not going to be a person who is not going to be a
Starting point is 01:15:08 person who is not going to be a person who is not going to be a person who is not going to be a person who is not going to be a person who is not going to be a person who is not going to be a person who is not going to be a person who is not going to be a
Starting point is 01:15:24 person who is not going to be a person who is not going to be a person who is not going to be a I was surprised by that. So if I remember this right and Zoo, you might remember this, an Australian called in and wanted her number because he thought she sounded hot. Oh, that always turns out well. Maybe it was Chris the Kiwi. I don't know. Yeah, that always turns out well. When someone with that accent says I want someone's phone number, I think he's in jail right now or something.
Starting point is 01:15:44 Oh, that would be good. That, Chris, the key we should not be out. No, that man, he's terrible and doesn't deserve to be funded by the fucking Australian government to just, you know, I'm gonna chop your tits up. Yeah, he's a psychopath. So anyway, that's a dick show thing that we're talking about right now
Starting point is 01:16:06 in case we've lost people. Getting back to our friend, Vic. So she went ahead and said, fucking give him my number man, put it out there. So I heard this voice, and I was laughing by a stop. I texted her and said, do you really want me to do that?
Starting point is 01:16:20 And she came to her senses a bit and said, put it out behind the paywall, put it on a Patreon. So now we have a new reason. If you want, if you want Vic's cell number, join the Patreon. And I'll put that out there as opposed to whoever, whatever Aussies want to start stocking her. Now you have an opportunity.
Starting point is 01:16:42 I hope that's a Google voice number and not like a legitimate phone number. Yeah, I don't know. I guess time will tell. We'll find out next week. Well, either way, I texted her and she texted me right back. So either way, she's looking at it. This, she called back because you remembered the other things you wanted to say about Australians. Hey, it's big again.
Starting point is 01:17:02 I just have, I remember what I was going to say about the Australian. It's the fact that they fucking talk like they have goddamn fucking molasses in their mouth or something like that. And it's like just so fucking ridiculous. Like that fucking the only reason why anyone fucking knows what an Australian is because it's the fucking Irwin. That was the only fucking good thing to come out of Australia. Fuck you. You want to fuckers. Jesus Christ. Fucking hate Australians. Everyone go fuck yourself. Oh, man, I really hate the Carl. Oh, check it out. Yeah, I'm sorry for you for getting that second part. That's all right. I made up
Starting point is 01:17:44 my either predeveloped little boy brain or my fucking stupid woman brain is pea size. So I can only hold so much information. Yeah, all right, bye. I think she made that call from the kitchen. I hope so. It's where she blogs. I don't understand call from the kitchen. I hope so. She blogs. I don't understand what just the hat.
Starting point is 01:18:08 Like she has a very fierce hate of Australians there, but that was just bizarre. Well, she said the only thing good about Australia is Steve Irwin, the crocodile hunter. And I would just say, have you seen ML Gibson movie? I mean, come on. He's yeah. Plus, you know, he gave us that whole like Jew rant. Right. You know, he hopes is so much raped by a pack of N words. You know, he's got some good points to make. Yeah, they ask for so little except for, I don't know what the fuck I'll show you.
Starting point is 01:18:38 Speaking of N words, we got a voice mail from someone talking about David Allen Co. words we got a voice mail from someone talking about David Allen co. Hey, Carl, hey, listen, you got to check out the two albums that David Allen co put out that are comedy albums as they are titled them. First one is Nothing Sacred and the second one is Underground, which featured the song that Doug played you the racist one. But, you know, his best song I think about for those two albums has to be Finger-Fucking-Sally. That is a masterpiece. All right, so this is all news to me
Starting point is 01:19:12 and I'm not a country guy. So this whole David Allen Co. thing I learned about last week from Anthony. Yeah, you know, this is the father of one of the guys from your favorite band sucks And I didn't realize that he put out comedy records comedy country records So I went and checked this out and here's a taste of finger fucking Sally I'm a fan now. I mean, I think I need to find my life. What was that? That was magical. It was great, right? Yeah. I think I like that. Finger fucking Sally.
Starting point is 01:20:15 And pussy, and Babylon. Oh, man, I'm gonna fucking listen to that after that. I know. This is gonna be my next Spotify playlist. Hey, we had Anthony on for the first time last week. And Anthony is the co-host of the Who's Right Podcast. I didn't realize that he is well known as Fuzzy Bear. Wow, Carl, I didn't know you were friends with Muckis. Yeah, Fuzzy Bear on last week's episode.
Starting point is 01:20:41 Oh, we shit. What are you going to get in front of the frog in this thingy? Okay, I don't know if that joke landed, the show and not yell band practice. You're letting everybody down. This is giving us some time to rest so when it does come back where you know the magic is we're reminded of what you're doing. I'm going to
Starting point is 01:21:02 get you to know that joke where did you get the you're letting everybody down. This is just giving us some time to rest. So when it does come back, we're, you know, the magic is we're reminded of why we keep it. You know, people think that band practice is going to maybe run its course. That's nonsense. It will not just like W ATP, it will never die. Yeah, it's great.
Starting point is 01:21:25 Reese the beast called back in again. Hey, college of favor and mum won Aussie fan Reese the Beast is. Just calling in about episode 178. You had an Aussie guy calling Clayton, he was even bigger fan than I am. And that's not true, mate, we all know it. Especially because I'm fairly sure I'm the only Aussie who even is supposed to be shown it's going to be a disqualified imposter. So I just wanted to say I'm willing to challenge him for the title of Biggest Aussie fan. Him and
Starting point is 01:21:52 Crosse versus me and Kyle the fight also and when it gets big number. Anyway mate I loved your Patreon episode and I was hoping you could upload more than once a month because I just can't get enough of the content. And yeah, well, good to talk to you again and take it easy. See you later. Thank you, Reese. One of our biggest fans out of Australia, if not the biggest. There's some controversy there.
Starting point is 01:22:17 He brought up something that I wanted to talk about, Zoo. This whole thing about our Patreon episode where he went and revisited the vanished podcast. It's a great episode. I don't say that very often. I'm usually quite humble. Just a great episode that I definitely have listened to. I can very good. Yeah. Remember that part where I was saying that that woman was an asshole? That was great, right? Yeah. I know. Like you made so many good points and they're definitely going to go after your workplace again. And if they don't, I will personally be a bit offended and sh-
Starting point is 01:22:50 Oh, I think you're rooting for the wrong thing, my friend. Anyway, I haven't heard it yet. I do encourage people. I encourage you to get on our Patreon. It's patreon.com slash who are these podcasts? For five bucks a month, you get a bonus episode each month of not more and the first one is Andy and I revisiting a recent episode of the vanished starring our friend Marissa Jones and I do want to point out that Reese the Beast is in Australia where their money is worth sand in comparison to US dollars and he can afford five dollars a month.
Starting point is 01:23:25 So I don't want to fucking hear this shit about five dollars a month being too much. All right, people? Yeah, I'm in Canada. I get it. Our money's worth fucking nothing right now. We're fucking skittles. It's great. But also to the point where if people want more episodes per month, they're going to have
Starting point is 01:23:41 to pump the gas and they're going to have to make it, you know, make it worth your while. that's correct Sir this is why I hate you on the show today. You're making a lot of good points. I'm like Lewis J Gomez. This guy's making good points All right, this is a I don't know what this is Hey, Carl Shit on my tits my tits are shit. I'll be back Shit on my tits my titsits are shit. I'll be back. Shit on my tits. My tits are shit. As he tried to start a new
Starting point is 01:24:09 catchphrase maybe. I hope not because it's not very great. It's not very good. Should I my tits is not a great catchphrase. I guess it's dependent how it's delivered. It doesn't have a good acronym. I don't know. It's not it's no band practice. That's no band practice. By the way, I got drunken called into my show Shocker. And yeah, I know. It's very surprising. And he has this to say.
Starting point is 01:24:35 Hey, girl, I know you like, I know you like people calling them drunk. That is exactly what I was about to do. I am three and a half mules in at my fraternity retreat. I have an wonderful time. I started to go into the UATT. I wanted to say, fuck the people who didn't think the did you grow up so it was good. I thought did you grow was a good co-host that the people who hate him probably just hating the episode he was reviewing to those
Starting point is 01:25:13 of the shitty podcasts. Also, fuck the people who don't like band practice. Band practice is art. practices art. Please. Yeah, see he gets it practice after this. Yep. This guy gets it. Band pray this is art. So I want to comment on something real quick. Did you, bro, has been coming up a lot recently
Starting point is 01:25:38 in these discussions on discord and the voice mail. I've listened as well. I was like a year ago. Has it been that longer? I think it was December of last year that we had Digi Pro out. Maybe maybe I'm off on that. I remember he reached out to me last November. So I'm a little surprised, but it's weird because we are going to do a show again together.
Starting point is 01:26:01 He's going to be in Rochester and he reached out to me. I'm like, yeah, let's do this. So he's actually going to be in Rochester and he reached out to me. I'm like, yeah, let's do this. So he's actually going to be in studio. And I think that there is he's very polarizing. There's people who like to do people who hate him. I do think that part of the hatred for that show was we were talking about nonsense cartoon animation bullshit that all I feel just don't care about. So we're going to make sure we don't do that this next time. Oh my God, you're kind of, this show's gonna not go on tangent.
Starting point is 01:26:31 Yeah, we'll see. See what we can do. This is by request from that last run collar. That's right. Jesus Christ. I don't even know if that's the actual band practice guy. I have a feeling it's not. I don't think so. Yeah, I think the other guys out of more like the band practice guy. Okay. I haven't gotten anything from Stuttering John yet. We're still keeping an eye on forgetting serve paper. Somebody asked me to post it in the Reddit. I will definitely do that. If and when we get served, I'll be happy to share whatever fucking ridiculous nonsense.
Starting point is 01:27:11 One of the lawyers is that. In that shit, right. Please do. Zoo, thanks for coming out, buddy. Thanks for letting me hop on. All right. Cheers. Cheers!
