WHOA That's Good Podcast - Honey's Storytelling Skills, Fashion Hacks & Instagram Stress | Sadie Rob Huff | Bella Mayo | Rebecca Loflin
Episode Date: November 13, 2023After 7 years, Sadie, Bella and Rebecca are FINALLY recording a follow-up conversation together and a lot has changed for all of them since their last interview: vocabulary, Instagram trends (who reme...mbers #ManCrushMondays?) fashion and Bella's braces! And with 7 years of change have also come 7 years of more wisdom, more life experiences (marriage, children, homeowners) and giving themselves more freedom to choose what they want to invest time and effort into. Bella confesses the real reason for taking an intentional step away from Instagram. Sadie doesn't understand why she sees so many Instagram feeds that are scrubbed of any cringe pics. Rebecca and Sadie talk about traveling with kids and they all laugh about a certain story Honey's been sharing with everyone lately. The three sisters share fashion advice (high-low) and they encourage us to all stop the comparison game. And Bella still doesn't understand one thing people often say to her. Toes the season fam to start thinking about the holidays. As you're thinking about gifts for
the women in your life this season, whether it be your sister, your friend, your roommate,
or anyone who may be searching for the truth of God's words, I have three books where I share my
personal journey of dreaming big and living fearlessly through God's promises. I got live,
live fearless, and live on purpose. I know that these books are going to be such a blessing for you.
I think it's so cool because even though I wrote live Fearless, a while back, it's so cool how that book continues to resonate
with people's hearts. And I still hear people all the time say, say, do you have been reading
Live Fearless or I just read Live Fearless, it's helping me so much my anxiety or the
live book, just helping people actually go out and live life fully for what they've
called to do or the devotional live on purpose that's helping them actually live the purpose
on their life. So I'm just so thankful that the truths in these books have stood the test of time over the
past couple of years and are still really relevant and reaching people in their life. So you can
find live, live fearless and live on purpose wherever books are sold. I hope there's such a blessing
to you or someone you love in your life this holiday.
These side marios all you can eat is all you can munch a soup salad and garlic
home oh
season
What's up sisters and friends happy Monday everybody y'all I am truly thrilled for this
conversation today
because I have my actual sisters
on the Sisters and Friends podcast,
Bella and Rebecca, hey, oh.
Hey.
And it has been seven years since I've had y'all.
I actually didn't even have a podcast
when I first interviewed y'all.
I was kicking it on the YouTube channel,
by YouTube channel.
And by the way, the quality of this was absolutely horrible.
You could hear the wind chaffing as well.
We recorded it by the way.
We did.
It was so hot, Cam.
Yes.
And I just want to show y'all just a little bit
so that sometimes to get where you're going,
you got to look at where you came from.
Yeah, just like blocked it off.
It's just like, I was like did not remember that.
I was like did not remember that.
I should not remember that. I should not remember that. I could have listened to it. I was on did not remember that old
Awkward bill was an awkward stage to give her credit Rebecca was still cool
Very cringey and I don't even like to use that word, but there's just really no other word to get around
The way I was acting in this video
Okay, here's a little Just remember the title was be unique and be happy
Yes, so we have to be confident in who we were
It brought us here and yeah
That was here and yes, and you know what if anything it's a testament to where we came from where we are now
Yeah, yeah, look at look at the faithfulness of this god
No, for sure. Oh my gosh, and thank you for new makeup trends and my voice not being as country as it
used to be.
No, no, hey, it's all the country accents out there, but that would be maybe tough to listen
to every week.
I was like, hey, y'all what's up.
And I kept saying Rebecca is so fleek and so flawless.
That whole video.
That's right.
So I know.
I was actually just watching a video yesterday.
Someone talking about the new phrases that are in.
And what was it?
It was like, is the Riz?
The Riz?
I guess I'm like so out of like, like that person has like so much Riz.
Would that be accurate?
Yeah.
It's like, you have like charisma. Like forure. Yeah, like you're like, you have like charisma.
Like for charisma, but it's like,
it's like you were like charming,
you've got like a cold factor.
We did not have the ris.
Like the seven year ago video.
And then, you ate that, like that's a good thing.
Like, man, I saw that.
We also did not do that in that podcast.
And then what was the other one? It was something like, oh, yeah. I saw that on Instagram. We also did not do that in that podcast. And then what was the other one?
It was something like, oh, this was, I'll let you cook.
I like that one.
What's that mean?
So like, if you let someone,
like if we're talking and we're like,
it's a free, we're talking.
And then like, I'm talking over you,
it's like, okay, I'll let you cook.
And like, you say what you're gonna say.
Okay.
And then have you heard someone cook here?
No.
It's like, if someone, if like a guy said like,
they knew like a certain like makeup thing,
it's like someone cooked here, like,
how do you know that?
Or like, if like a guy knows something, like,
like say, I don't know, like, they have the knowledge. I know like they have the knowledge I say
I have the knowledge
If someone knows something like say you like kind of like right now
Or you knowing things that maybe you know, like someone cooked here like someone told you that
Like for me. Yeah, or like if someone knew something about you
If someone said like to you something about you that they can only know if someone told them you're like someone cooked here.
I like that.
And I feel like I'm like I could use these in my day to day without it being like I'm
trying, but I looked like at that video seven years ago and just so you all know where we
were at, the trends were fleek, flawless, boo, eyebrows,
on fleek, gold, fierce, slay. So this is where we're coming from and this is where we
are today. We're cooking. Yeah, we're cooking today. Actually, I posted on Instagram this morning,
what do you all want to hear from the sisters? And I posted that picture of us
from seven years ago. And a lot of people said, well, a lot of people said, what's the most
that, what's the biggest thing you've learned in the past seven years? But before we get to
there, a lot of people also said, what's changed the most in the past seven years in your life?
Which I think we could all go in a long, so we're going to go from seven years ago to
today, what's changed in your life?
That's crazy, because I was looking at that picture
and I remember my hair being like short and blonde.
And I think that was like right before I got married.
Yeah.
I think that was like the like,
and so like, I mean, since then I got married
and have kids and two kids.
Crazy, yeah.
Saying in Holland,
cutest little kids ever, legit models.
Yeah.
And actually, models, his day and will pose
like, you know how to say it.
He knows he cute.
Yeah, he's like all about people like recognizing him
or like being like, just like taking,
like, not that like, he just like, sort of Halloween.
He's saying on Halloween, he's saying,
I want a million people to take picture with me.
What?
Because like, that's what he's into,
because like, he's thing is cool when people,
so like, they were dressed up as Harry Potter
and we were in Scotland and we took this train
and I thought like, it would be cute for them to wear the outfit.
And people were like, thought it was so cute
and I thought everyone would.
But anyway, so people were taking pictures with them
and he just thought it was the coolest thing.
And so from then, every day, he was like,
I just would, like, I hope a million people
was gonna take picture with me.
And I was like, he's dead for that.
He just like really enjoyed the attention
and he's like,
that's hilarious.
Honey's a hot guy.
Honey's like, does not want,
anyone take a picture of her.
As soon as the camera comes out,
she goes, I know it's smile.
I know it's smile.
I'm not gonna do it.
She's too cool.
She's like,
oh man, we gotta work on that.
Yeah, a lot has changed in seven years, for sure.
Bella, what about you?
I mean, clearly, where to start?
Where to start?
I got that braces off.
Actually, where to start?
Actually, in seven years, where were you seven years ago?
So you're third, 21, say, you were like 14.
You were not 14 yet.
No, you're like, I won't give up.
I can't.
I feel so bad because I think I had that braces on at't. I feel so bad because I think I had a race
to solve that 14.
I feel so bad because I think that was doing like,
probably like the height of a lot of things.
And you were like 13.
I'm just, yeah, I was in 13.
Oh, I know.
Yeah, no, that's really cool.
I think it's like 13 now.
You like how for protecting you,
not putting me on YouTube.
Well, we, because I did not need to be on YouTube at 13.
No, but that was a good thing.
You were encouraging people.
But no, I did not.
A lot of 13 year olds on YouTube.
Doing this stuff, but they should be on YouTube.
No, no, no, no.
That's a true regret.
You were a TikTok.
On YouTube.
That's a true regret.
And it was also not forget that like 13 year olds,
even seven years ago, compared to 13 year olds now,
and how they present themselves is very different.
So Bella, you were exactly what you should have been at 13.
13 year old girls now, I don't even understand.
They have too much information.
I saw that.
Someone cooked there.
Yes, someone cooked there.
A real or something.
The other day was like, like the 13 year old of us
and like 13 year old now, it was like,
the photo booths, you know, how when
they used to like make your face change and we thought it's hilarious. Like and now it's like
the dancing and being like all you know. I was going through my art dance Instagram with me and
he was so embarrassed for me and it was like it really was hilarious. It was all my man-crest
Mondays that I posted that were horribly embarrassing.
And I would not only go as far as to post
a man-crested Monday every Monday,
but I would photoshop my face in with the person
I was posting about and put hashtag my boo.
Well, we did the math and I was like 15.
And he's like, you're way too over this.
I'm like, but 15 year olds then did this.
Yeah, that's not for you.
For you to save my ex-boyfriend's photo
and put on your phone cover.
I should have called cover.
You and Anna Catherine.
Yeah, we were weird.
We were real tough.
We were real tough.
Like, props to us because everyone else on social media,
if you look, they have like 30 posts.
Like people delete everything.
We don't.
Like I still have a thousand posts on my page.
If you start out, you will find it. Photos. Delete everything. We don't like I still have a thousand posts on my page. If you scroll down you will find it photos.
Do we everything? If you look at all the people saying they're too old. I'm gonna look at that. I actually like looking back.
Yeah. Yeah. Which mine is earning. When you guys got to when I was you know I got Instagram.
I got Instagram when I was nine years old. Oh no the change. So mine goes all the way back to nine years old. Oh no the cherry. So mine goes all the way back to nine years old. That
shows true confidence right there really that you're allowing people to see it. But
for what all I changed your life you were 13, what you doing now at 21. Well I'm
married. Graduating college next week. Next Thursday. So first graduating
middle school. Then a graduate school, now I'm graduating college.
So lunch, poetry book.
Yep, poetry book.
And you journal became a book.
Let's be a solid.
So a lot of change.
That's solid.
And then for me a lot of change in seven years.
I'll look back in that video and I think about how happy I was and all that stuff.
But also how really wasn't that happy at that time.
That was one of the hardest seasons of my life.
I'm graduating high school.
Everything's changing.
I'm like, what's next?
I didn't know.
I still was trying to decide like, I don't think I'm going to go to college,
but I have no idea what my life holds for me.
But it's cool now looking back to see what my life held for me was really what I was doing
right then.
I was interviewing people.
I was talking to people, talking about God, talking about being unique and being happy,
which is the title of our video if you dare to go back and watch it. and people. I was talking to people, it's time for God. It's time for being unique and being happy,
which is the title of our video.
If you dare to go back and watch it.
Yeah, we're in such a fun age with two kids,
and especially at two years old and five months old,
they're just constantly changing.
Haven is just like growing like a weed.
She's literally sitting up, like almost sitting up,
but she definitely is doing sitting up so well
in her little tummy time and it's so cute. Kids grow
and change so much whenever they're little and their interests are always
changing too. Honey loves all the princesses but one day she's repunzel and the
next day do not offend her she is Princess Anna and that is where KiwiCo comes
in to help with all the changes and all the different stages of your child's
life. KiwiCo delivers seriously fun hands-on projects for kids for all ages straight to your door every
month. There's something for every kid from infants just like Haven to preschoolers to teens and
even beyond. Best of all is screen free for kids and stress free for parents. Praise God.

that will light a creative spark in your child.
They'll learn new skills, have new experiences, and build confidence in their understanding
of the world.
The day that the KiwiCo box arrives at your house will be so much fun. Your kid will be so excited about it. And honestly,
I get so excited about it too. There's no long-term commitment so that you can press
pause anytime or cancel your subscription at any time. But I think your child's eat a
lot of it so much and so will you. You're not going to have a problem with that. We've
gotten some awesome things from Kiwi Co. We've got the Panda Crate, which is so great.
Haven loves it and Honey actually loves it too. They definitely take turns on who has the Panda,
the actual Panda that came in the crate.
But there's so many great things that Haven's loving,
like the black and white cards,
it came with the little mirror thing
that she gets to see her reflection in,
or even some of the older things for the older kids.
My mom has for John Shepard and Zayn.
There was like a mixer, it was like a food mixer,
but it's teaching you how to use fractions and numbers.
So this stuff is really incredible
and really helping your kids learn.

I love that because like, now you just say that,
just thinking about people deleting things,
because they think, oh, it was embarrassing,
but it's actually so fun to see,
and it's like a confirmation of what you have,
you know, gone through and became,
and that's super cool.
It's so true.
It's a good kind of look back, you know?
I think you also are like, you know,
robbing people the opportunity to see
what God's done in your life, you know?
And it's like, you get to see God's faithfulness,
you get to see people grow.
And so it takes humility to like put yourself out there.
But man, it shows people what they can do
and it's inspiring when you don't do that.
And you always look perfect and you always put together and you always like you've been crushing it your whole life
Who will look at that and they're like good for you, but they can't learn from it, you know?
Okay, so they also said what did we learn in the past seven years?
So if you think back, I mean obviously we've learned a million things
I don't even know how we're gonna pinpoint one but an overarching, when you look at who you were that I think about who you were, where then, who you are now,
what's like the biggest difference and the biggest change, not just physical appearance,
obviously getting married in kids, but maybe internally.
I think for me, which I feel like every middle schooler kind of feels like this, but not trying to be everybody else and just really being myself.
And I think at that time, I was looking up to you and you,
and I was like, I want to be just like them.
But really, I had to figure out who I was going to be,
and not just copy everything that my sisters were doing,
or my friends were doing, or cousins,
but really just figure out who I am.
So that's probably what I learned was just like,
don't try to be anybody else, just be yourself
and I'll work out.
And I wanna be like, you know.
I love that.
I think honestly, I was gonna say the same thing.
Like in that video, we were talking about that.
We were talking about not wanting to be each other
and not wanting to be someone else,
but really being confident who you are.
And when I think about me then,
I was like preaching that all the time,
but I hadn't yet like really lived that.
Yeah, I was like, that's what we should do,
but I'm struggling with that.
And now I'm like, wow, I really do that.
You know, like I really am confident who I am.
And I really am like cheering on everyone
around me for who they are. And I don't feel that jealousy like I used to feel. I don't feel that
sense of not being enough that I used to feel. And those are the things that I thought, oh,
I'll probably always feel because that's part of being a girl. But it's like, no, that's not part
of being a girl. That's part of sinful nature, you know? Like God did create us uniquely and originally
and we can be confident in who we are
enough to cheer on others and not feel less than.
And I think that what I've realized in life
is that like if you're comparing yourself to someone,
you are always gonna feel less than
because you cannot be them.
Like there's a reason for that that you feel less than
because if you're in comparison to them
You will be less than they are because you're not them like you're gonna be a less than a version than them because you're not them
But you're gonna be the best version of you because you are you and I think I'll always preset live a ridge or that's the message
But now I'm like living that and that's a cool difference in seven years
And I think like that's another fun thing about Instagram,
is I think we all like have poured hours and hours
into our Instagram accounts for the past decade, you know?
But it's like, if I look back at my Instagram back in the day,
like I'll see like, I was posting me in Crush Monday's
at 11 years old, because I was just trying to
copy you whatever you did I wanted to do. Why was it a
living your own? I was posting pictures of people I don't even
know that I just found on your page. I'm like Google
people.
I myself like what was I doing? I was just copying you. And then I
went through a time where all my edits had to be just like
Rebecca's the deck and the super white wash Yeah, the white one all the way up like I
Because like some of the photo we're actually good, but I know but I had to copy you for a while and
Like the face because it was just like and then like there's a time if you go back where all of our edits
We were all obsessed with that great town I can't remember what it's called with that edit on Lightroom that we all put on everything.
Everything was just so extra.
Anyways, but we all had that.
But it's like, now I feel like you can see all of our individual personality and styles
because we've all kind of just come into our own.
Even our outfits today.
It shows we're all kind of just come into our own. Even our outfits today, it shows,
we're all very much ourselves today.
And like, I look back at my outfits on Instagram
and I can tell like, oh, that's one of those best friends
with this person.
Yeah, that looks just like her and that's how it's supposed to.
And yes, we're always gonna be influenced and shaped
and that's, sometimes a good thing
and that's fine, that's natural.
But it is really cool when you get to the point
you're like, this really is me.
Like, this is totally me, you know
And I love that and I feel like in that video obviously I'm older than y'all so I was probably 20
I think I was 24 then yeah, cuz I got married 20. Oh, no, no 20
Wait, I was like 26 you're my age now. Yes
That's crazy.
The life.
That's embarrassing.
You are so cool.
You are cool.
We love you.
We love you so much.
Well, I thought I was cool.
You are very cool.
And that stage of my life, it's all about like,
oh, okay, so I was like, in fashion,
I was doing all this stuff, thinking like,
I'm cool and doing all the thing.
And it's just like over the seven years, like it's crazy to think like how my life had been now.
And like, you know, I should travel and go to markets and do all the thing and like hang out with like cool people.
And so like, that's not even important anymore.
And just finding that contentment and like being like, I love where my life is and
it's not about me and it's not about what the next cool fashion, the trend and all that.
That was really in that at that moment.
That was important to you and your priorities have changed. And it's just as a back you up, just seeing your life change.
You are like the most selfless person ever.
You really are the most selfless mom or the most selfless person.
You put your kids with or your selfie, but your husband for self-put.
Everyone, like you're just, you take care of all your people so well.
And I really have seen the priorities.
Like all of our
produce have shifted, but that's just cool to see in your life. It's awesome. You're a great
model. Okay, Bella, you mentioned that we spent hours and hours on our Instagrams for the past
however many years since we've had Instagram and we've had, we all have big followings on Instagram
so that's a part of our job, but it's also fun social media too.
But I feel like the past year, at least I know, Bella and I have talked about this, I don't know about
you, Rebecca, but it's just kind of felt like an Instagram fatigue. It's like, we've done this for
so long and all of a sudden it's just getting, it's just been hard. Like it's like some of the
joys of it are not there anymore in some ways. And we're finding for it to still be there
because we want to do that
because I think it's a great way to connect with people.
It's a great way to be an inspiration to people
and also learn from other people.
But it can just get hard sometimes.
And I know Bella, you've kind of taken a step back
and people have been asking you like,
why are you taking a step back?
You've changed.
Oh, what is the reasoning for your step back?
And what is your thoughts right now towards social media and general?
Yeah. Well, I think it can be hard to say like Instagram's hard because it's like
my specific thing. It's silly. It's Instagram. It's like it should be like hard and infum, but when you get to a certain level of it,
it is a lot of pressure.
And I think that just with comments, assumptions,
and all that kind of stuff,
you have to like take in where you are.
And like there's been times in my life
where that really just could go right over my head
and I wouldn't care.
And then there's also times in my life
where maybe I'm more sensitive
or I'm just like, have more stress on me. And that does not need to be an added stress. And it's like,
okay, if I'm going to like try to alleviate some of the stress in my life, I've got to figure out
what's the like most stress with the least like that I don't have to have, you know, it's like
with that, it's like, well, you knowurham has been causing me a lot of stress and
putting a lot of pressure on me and at the end of the day I really don't have
to do it. So that's what I'm gonna kind of put on the back burner. So it's kind of
just like getting your priorities straight. And I think that at this point in my
life I've just realized that that I have a lot of priorities
that I'm in school, I'm finishing college.
And it's like, at this point in my life,
I have to say, finishing college is my number one priority.
This has been when I'm working on for three years.
And it's also been when I'm working on
through high school, through middle school.
My whole life has been preparing to graduate college.
So that's what I need to focus on. And so that's kind of what I'm been doing. And like I really have learned
that I'm like loving school more than I ever have in my life. And I'm like I don't want
to like ruin that by making that a priority. Yeah. I guess. I love it.
I'm like, you recognize that too.
You know, that's so good.
There's so much wisdom in that.
And I think it's the same for me.
When I look at everything I have going on,
if I'm in a stressful season,
I'm like, something has to go right now
and that's the thing that has to go.
And I always say like, good boundaries
with social media for me is like,
that has to be my overflow.
Like, that's like overflow time.
Like, you know, I can go on and just give what else to have
if it's just like overflow or it's like,
hey, I'm just taking it and laughing at funny posts
or, you know, going and looking at my people.
It needs to be just overflow, like, giving that,
but if it's taking from you, then, you know,
you don't need it.
You know, it's not worth it.
And I think like, we've heard so much
being in the spaces that we are like,
you have to post like every day,
and like now with the algorithm,
it's like they tell you you have to post on TikTok
three times a day, you have to post reels
two times a day, you have to post stories every day,
you have to post pictures, you have to post three
to four posts a week week and it's just like
what time job. Yes. And when you have that in the back of your mind all the time,
it takes away from the life that you're living and it's like, I found like some
people can like Rebecca, you're really good at like taking videos throughout your
day and posting throughout your day. But like for me, I found that like when I try to
do that, it takes away from my enjoyment
because I am a perfectionist
and I do wanna get perfect angle
in the perfect picture and the perfect lighting
and all that kind of stuff.
And it just takes away from my life.
Yeah.
And so I've kind of been at a place of the whole photo dump
kind of thing.
It's like, I love that trend.
I love that trend.
It's a great trend because it's like,
I don't have to worry about it throughout the week.
I don't even have to worry about it throughout the month.
The end of the month, at the end of the week,
I can post all the things that I've been doing
in what I want to post.
And honestly, I think it saved me from posting a lot of things
that I don't really care about because it's like,
because you're not doing it because you feel like
you have to, you're doing it because now you want to.
I hardly even edit most of the pictures to anymore
because I'm like, here it is.
Like this is just what I've been doing.
You don't really need it.
But it's like, as I've been a photographer
doing photographs for years and it's like, doing that,
it's like, I do love a good photo
and I realize how much like, if I have a good photo
that I post on social media that I like
took and loved and it like really makes me happy. Yeah, but it's all post-mins. Yeah, but if I post pictures
that are just like random that I just took because I knew I needed to post it doesn't make me happy.
So it's like, you can't do it because you feel like you have to do it or because you're trying to beat the algorithm
or whatever, do it because you love it.
And that's why it's like used to.
I mean, this has kind of always been a part of social media.
I don't know if it's social media,
it's more just human nature where you post something
and if like, if this isn't getting as many likes
as the other one, maybe you feel embarrassed
or even sometimes it doesn't get a lot of likes,
you're like, I'm just gonna delete this or whatever.
And so it's like, you have that kind of in you that you don't want it to succeed, but then you have to get to the point where it's like, I'm just gonna delete this or whatever. And so it's like, you have that kind of in you
that you don't want it to succeed,
but then you have to get to the point where it's like,
I'm not posting this to get anything.
I'm posting this because this is what I like.
Like I was talking about this morning,
and I was telling her how many views the story had
of us from seven years ago.
And I said, that's crazy.
That's like so much more than I normally get.
And she said, why do you get so,
like such a small amount of story views
with such a big follow-up?
And I said, oh, because my algorithm,
because I don't post a lot.
Like I don't post last stories anymore.
If I post stories in my kids, I'm gonna get a lot,
but I don't like to post stories in my kids all the time,
you know, because I just don't.
I haven't rather keep some of those things private.
So it's like, you see, oh, I'd be like,
I'm gonna post all these things
because it's gonna get engagement. And now I'm just at the point where it's like,
I'm gonna post because it's what I want to share.
You know, Christian and I love a good healthy habit. For me right now, I'm trying to get my vitamins
up because, you know, coming out of that postpartum life, all my hormones, all the vitamins,
changing unneeds and vitamins. Christian on the other hand, he's training for all kinds of incredible workout things that
he's trying to do.
I'm just trying to grow here.
He's trying to get fit.
We're both going for something, but whatever the goal or challenge is in our family,
AG1 always helps meet them.
AG1 is a foundational nutrition supplement that's packed with 75 high-quality vitamins,
probiotics, and whole foods were ingredients into one daily drink.
Christian and I love keeping it with healthy habits, but we both really don't
like taking a handful of pills to have to do that or do anything extra, which is
why AG1 is the best because we immediately notice a boost in our energy and
we loved how easy it was. Now AG1 is a huge part of both in our morning
routines. I love taking AG1 in the morning. You just put one scoop of AG1 in a cold glass of water and a jumpstart through day in our morning routines. I love taking A.G. one of the morning. You just put one scoop of A.G. one in a cold glass of water
and a jump start through day in the best way.
Honestly, you feel the most energy.
I feel more energy from that than drinking a cup of coffee
personally.
It just has long lasting energy
and immediately my mind just feels so focused.
So we've gotten other people hooked on this too
because we really love it so much.
And since A.G. one comes in a convenient travel back,
I literally have one on my desk. It's easy to stay on track even when you're on the road, not really love it so much. And since AG1 comes in a convenient travel bag, I literally have one on my desk.
It's easy to stay on track even when you're on the road, not at the house or wherever.
Christian just throws one on his backpack whenever he's going on trips like I said, I just throw
one on my desk.
And AG1 also offers immune support, which is a great thing to have, especially while traveling
and during the season, whatever, you know, tends to be germs going around.
AG1 also improves digestion and gut health,
which is incredible because that affects your mental health
and I'm all about that.
And AG1 has got you covered in that area too.
We also love taking our vitamin D
and they have great vitamin D3 plus K2 liquid drops.
All you gotta do is literally put a few drops on some food,
some drink, whatever it is,
and it's gonna help your immune system, your heart,
your bones, your teeth.
I honestly noticed that helping my skin a lot too.
And in that little bottle, there's over 600 servings and everybody else, so you will not
be running out any time soon.
They have got you covered, my friend.
So if you want to take ownership in your health, it starts with AG1.
Try AG1 and get a free one year supply of vitamin D3 plus K2.
And five free AG1 tribal packs with your first purchase
just go to drinkag1.com slash woe.
Again, that's drinkag1.com slash woe
to check it out today.
I think that's such a good.
I turned off my all my like counts and everything.
And I used to think that was so silly when people did that
because I'm like, why do you care?
Just like that's something you need to get over. I used to be like, you silly when people did that because I'm like, why do you care? Just like, that's something you need to get over.
I used to be like, you just need to get over that.
You don't need to care so much.
And then at this point in my life,
it actually calls me stress.
It's like, when I don't have likes,
I'm like, oh, and the algorithm's gonna hate me now
because I didn't get likes on this picture.
And now I'm never gonna get likes again.
It's like, that stresses me out. So I was like, I'm gonna try hate me now because I didn't get like some of this picture and now I'm never gonna get like the good It's like it's like that stresses me out. So I was like I tried turning them off. I turned them all off
I haven't thought about it one time since I turned them off. I post I have no idea how many likes my face. I've gotten
I don't know if that's the algorithm is hating me or not. That's awesome. That's just how I don't even know
That's not that's not the bottom battle we're fighting is the algorithm battle
You know that'll make you crazy
Rebecca kind of shifting gears a little bit
But you mentioned earlier how you used to travel on work it and like travel to all these places in me cool people
And now your travel looks a little different. You're traveling with two little ones
Which I do want to talk about because y'all just had like the trip of a lifetime
Which looked amazing
But also like I want to talk about because y'all just had like the trip of a lifetime which looked amazing But also like I want to hear about the trip
But also just the idea of being a mom and traveling what you get it's because a lot of people think you know when you become a mom
You're traveling days are over and all this stuff and I will say you're traveling days are different
That's not the same, but it's still so fun
So what's that then like I feel like it's even like
it's still so fun. It's so fun.
What's that then?
I feel like it's even more special
because you just see how excited they get
and you see the world through their eyes.
And that's what I love about.
And I know people always say, they don't remember,
but we'll remember.
And I love, I honestly just enjoy traveling with them now
more, you know? It's so fun. I honestly just enjoy traveling with them now more.
It's so fun.
And it's just like just kind of teaching them things
and seeing different culture and learning new things.
And it's been great.
And we were just talking about how this trip,
so we just went to Scotland and Ireland.
And it's for like almost a month.
And people were like, you're crazy.
And we move like 10 different hotels.
We all have to round and everything.
But they did really good, you know?
And I think it's just like they're used to it
because we never like stop doing it.
Just because, you know, we're like,
hey, this is what we're doing.
Yeah, you know, and they love it, you know,
I think the biggest thing with traveling kids
is you have to be flexible.
Like when we went to Disney, everyone was like,
Yark crazy yo, into Disney World with a two year old nap,
I guess she was only three months old,
which I guess that is crazy.
But it was like the best trip ever.
We had the best time, but we're flexible, yes.
I mean, did we plan to see the fireworks
and we never saw them?
Yes, because you just had to go with the flow.
Yes.
But you know what's so funny?
So we never made it for the fireworks show,
because it's like at nine o'clock and we kept trying.
We were like, we're gonna do it and then we did it.
But you know, honey tells everyone about the fireworks.
So what did she see?
Well, we talked about it so much.
And then we could see it from the hotel,
but we were far.
No, I know.
And she had every single movie we watched.
You know what?
It has like those.
She goes in the room.
She goes, I saw the fireworks last night at Disney World.
She tells everybody she saw the fireworks.
They're the most famous.
They don't even just, I mean, they just love it.
Their eyes are just prone to see the wonder of things.
And they just, that's gonna see the glass have full.
Because if you make it that way, now if we would have said,
never saw a fire.
See how you shame how you approach thing with your kids too.
And it's so funny because when we were in Scotland,
of course, there's things I plan for the kids and fun to do.
And out of all the staying, we asked them, like, what was his favorite thing was like sleeping
in the car one night.
We had to sleep in our car one night, because we had like some like crazy Airbnb, like
mixed up, and we like couldn't get into our Airbnb.
And it was like pouring rain.
It was so dark. And we ended up just like,
we couldn't get to it.
So we were like, we had to wait till the sunrise
because we couldn't see.
And so we slept in the car the whole family.
Like, I cannot believe they both slept.
And that was everything.
And that was everything.
And he told me he said,
he said, we slept in the car and it was so dark
and it was so fun.
See, that's the y'all parenting of like making that such a special moment, you know?
And then we were like, of course, we were like, kind of stressed and I feel really, really bad.
But like, you know, we're trying to like play off like not, you know, like not to be like,
oh my gosh, it's terrible.
Because then they think like, oh, it's something they need to be scared of.
Like, this is something they need to be scared of.
Like, this is something wrong, you know, but we made it like, it was fun that we're all
sleeping in the car.
It was cozy.
We get to turn on like music and that's also, you know, so he thought was the same thing.
So, you know, just to show you, like, you know, it really is how you approach things.
And your kids, they're learning from you, you know, You're setting the tone of the situation
and teaching them what to be, what fun is,
and what it looks like, and all those different things.
And yeah, the best memories are going to probably be,
we joke with me and Christian about Disney World
that all of honey's favorite things were the free things.
Like, it was all the things that weren't expensive
or cheap.
Her favorite thing she got there was this aerial bubble machine.
All she could talk about, which Grinit was way overpriced because of course, but in the
Grand Team of the Trip was definitely the cheapest thing.
That was her favorite thing ever.
It doesn't matter how much money you have or you know, it really matters where your heart's on.
And then I think it's just like the time spent with together.
It's not about where you're going and all, because like for the kids it's like,
oh, thank you for bringing like you want to be with me and you want to like share this like experience and make it memories together.
You know, so it's like more like that like, Zang love the hotel that has a yoga mat
that he just plays on it.
And it's just like things like that,
but it's just because we're together.
It's not about what this crazy thing that we do
and like expensive thing, like, you know, so good.
I love it.
Okay, so a lot of people did ask about our sibling relationship
and just our family and general,
because everyone of us is super close.
And I think that one of the cool things is,
I think people pursue that on social media,
but we're probably even closer than what people
even realize.
Like, we really do all live aside each other.
We hang out all the time.
We're all such close friends.
And people are like, how, how, how do you do that?
Because a lot of people to live close to one another,
to work together.
I mean, me, Bella, and John Luke work in the same place.
Like, we're all like all together all the time.
And so a lot of people, they're like,
that sounds like nightmare.
That is not so fun, but to us, it really is fun.
What do you think are some reasons why, I guess guess we've been able to cultivate such a sweet relationship with our family?
I think a lot of it has to do with our parents and our grandparents and they like really have instilled in us that like family is so important.
And like even I was thinking the other day like our cousins moved away when we were like six or
seven years old. I feel like most people with their cousins moved away you wouldn't see them as
much but we saw them all the time because our parents and our grandparents put in the effort to make sure we all stay close.
And I feel like that's the same way with all of our siblings is like our parents really
did put in the effort to like take us on trips all together.
And like even now we all go on a family trip once a year to connect and get like even if
we don't see each other for a month or two, we know we're gonna see each other on that trip
and nothing will change, you know?
And so I feel like that has a lot to do with it,
just like, at times,
we're together, like cooking for us and by the end.
Yeah, so you come to dinner all the time.
And like when we have birthdays,
like even if we're not in town or something,
we always like find a time to do something
to celebrate each other and stuff like that.
So, yeah. I think that's such a prioritizing family time,
making it a point. And also our grandparents definitely
showed us that even if you're different than certain family
owners, or even if you'll fall at quickly coming back together,
I can think of family interventions we've had because
somebody was
arguing with somebody or somebody upset somebody and it's like come together
you know like no one lets you get too far away before we come together and
talk about it and I think also like we don't put a lot of expectation on
each other like it's not like I'm getting disappointed in anyone because I
set this expectation that they have to be here for this and the other it's
like when you can come come yeah you can't
it's always welcome but it's always welcome you're always invited and I
think trust each other's intention and heart that like we always know we're
always invited and then also like not getting offended when someone doesn't
meet your expectation because you don't even put it on them you know I think
that those are special things and so yeah Like for those listening if you're like my family's not like that at all, you know
You can be the one that has that open door policy. Yeah that invites people to your house that you they know
They are always welcome in your home that you're picking up the phone and saying hey, what are you doing tonight?
I'm cooking this, you know, do you want to come over? Hey?
You know we haven't talked in a while
Let's let's talk about maybe what happened.
Just opening the door, picking up the phone,
those things go a long way.
And, too, I think, just understanding,
everyone's relationship is different.
And even our brother Will, who lives out of state,
our relationship with him, we all have different relationships
with our siblings who live out of the state.
We talk to them when we can, we see them when we can, but we're still close,
even though our relationship maybe look different for a different time.
And even right now, like you all both have kids and you all are so busy and
y'all may not get to see each other as much because you're so busy with kids and
everything, but I don't have kids, so I come over to your house every day,
come over to your house as much as I can, so it's like your relationships with people,
and when I have kids, then maybe I won't see you all as much because I'm busy.
You know, it's just like your relationships change all the time, but we're always still.
And I think too, since we have so many of us too, like kind of like Bella said too,
but even though like, if I don't see Sadie, but then like when Bell goes see you and then she comes see me
And then like I feel like I see
Because like she's telling me thing so I think it's just like we all kind of like
And are connected and then you know like okay, we're always there and then we'll all have family dinner
And we all talked about what's happening in the past like a few days and what's going to be going on with your live and then so and that our kids play together you know so it's like you just get bits and pieces to you know
and it's just like carrying about each other like wanting to hear how each other has been
simple things like when we all got together recently and I was just like hey what's
their base favorite part of October and then it was like so cool to hear everyone what
everyone did because you might think you know but but you don't know some people's favorite days
or totally differently the other person
or what you would have thought.
And we got to hear a lot about each other's October.
So yeah, just being intentional, I think,
is what it comes down to and trusting each other's heart,
always thinking the best of one another
and valuing, like truly making that like a time
that you value and a time that you prioritize is really special.
So, my family is very, is very intentional about the group chat.
The group chat is always talking.
We can't feel like that.
We're like the swag fam.
Oh, the swag fam.
I feel like swag fam keeps us together.
Well, there's actually really funny because my mom's assistant is in our swag fam text
and her name's Lindsay, she's amazing.
And it's so funny because I feel like
I'm pretty consistently talking in swag fam.
And sometimes, my siblings leave me hanging
but Lindsay always responds.
I love it.
And I think I'm literally going to put in swag fam.
And it's too, it's so funny
because we named it swag't do that cringe time.
They're with the cringy mochi's and it stayed the same.
That's true, that's so funny.
I know on Christmas time of the family
we have a Huff swag fam
because they were inspired by our swag fam.
So maybe you just need to go start a swag fam.
We have green text.
Okay, before we end, I'm just gonna check the comments
and see if there's anything people are wanting me to ask.
Y'all that I'm missing.
This is just off the cuff.
[♪ OUTRO MUSIC PLAYING [♪
Y'all, I'm so thankful for the generations in my life.
Many of you have actually gotten to hear
from my great-grandma and my grandparents
being on this podcast and just hearing their stories
means so much to me.
It's so important to preserve our stories
and remember where we came from.
And that's what StoryWorth is all about.
StoryWorth is an online service that helps preserve
precious memories and stories for you and your loved ones.
I love giving gifts and one of my favorite
kind of gifts to give is a thoughtful one
and meaningful one and StoryWorth is actually
one of my favorite gifts I've ever given and it was the gift that kept on giving when I gave it to my grandpa.
Every week story worth will email your relative or a friend, a thought-provoking question of
your choice from their enormous selection.
They'll ask questions that maybe you've never even thought to ask before, like, what's
the bravest thing you've ever done?
Or what personal expectations do you hold yourself to?
And after one year story worth will actually compile all your love on stories, photos included
into an amazing keepsake book that you'll be able to share again and again for years
to come.
So no matter how near or far apart you are from the people that you love the most, you
can stay connected with the sharing stories and memories from story worth.
Y'all, like I said, this is the gift that kept on giving when I gave it to my grandpa
one year. He took it so seriously. He worked on it every single week throughout
the year and he came out with the most beautiful book and the quality is amazing. And so for
Christmas, after the following Christmas that I gave it to him, he actually gave the
gift of a copy of his story worth book to everyone in the family so that we all have
his memories. And my great grandmagrandma actually started her story worth last Christmas and we are highly
anticipating seeing it this year with all the stories that she had.
So with story worth, I'm giving those that I love a thoughtful personal gift from the
heart and preserving their memories and stories for years to come.
So you go to storyworth.com slash woe and save $10 on your first purchase.
That story worth.com slash woe to save $10 on your first purchase. That's storyworth.com slashwo to save $10 on your first purchase.
Okay, actually this is a really good question.
This is just a fun one,
but someone said best, fashion advice,
and this is good to ask y'all
because y'all both are very fashionable
and have different fashion than each other.
I think just like really be yourself,
like, you know, kind of like,
I mean, I feel like just keep to not falling
like the trend as much, you know?
That's true.
People always tell me like,
I would have never put that together,
but you like you.
And I'm always kind of like,
okay, maybe that's like a little bit
of a bag in a couple of minutes.
However,
everyone always say,
I mean, you can pull it off and I like you can pull it off.
I mean, you can put that together, which makes me think,
okay, this is probably, maybe,
maybe you can use it.
But that means you seceded.
Because that's your style.
I appreciate that.
But then I'm like, you should do that for yourself too,
because then people will probably say the same thing.
Well, people say to me all the time,
the odds are so unique and different style,
and I'm like,
so do I really know?
I feel like I'm not that extra different,
but people always say to me,
and that's the thing that comes up in your mouth.
So what you're wearing?
Because I think,
because you look like you just like living your style.
And that's a good thing, it's unique.
I'll say my best tip is, which I wouldn't have put it like this,
but Mary Ralph is someone we love and follow on Instagram.
She always says it like this,
but like it's the highs and the lows.
It's having like,
like just like a plain casual t-shirt,
plain casual jeans and then like fun shoes or nicer shoes and like you
don't have to have a nice shirt and nice pants and nice shoes but like if you
have like one kind of like special piece or special item it makes everything
else like up that's a major it's like I have so much vintage clothes living with
Jacob and so much like just like random vintage jeans that I probably would have never bought or picked out at a store
But I love and I got them for free, but
But I'm saying like I have pants that like I wouldn't have worn but when I wear it with like a cute top
Like up up scale or even if like you do your hair and make it really good
Then you can wear something
That's not that cute, but you look really cute or vice versa and don't tell you hair make up wear something really cute
Like I always do that. I'm like okay if I don't have time on one section that I'm gonna work a little bit harder on the other
So that's so true like the highs and lows. That's a really good piece of fashion advice and I think confidence is like truly key
Because you can really wear mostly anything and if you're confident people will think it's cool.
They're like, oh that's cool and I'm looking at myself and I'm like, it's really cool.
It's sort of whatever on, yeah.
Yes, I love that.
Especially nowadays, like things, there's so many like funky things out there, like patterns and design, but it's like, if you just do it and people are doing it. And I take it like experimenting to not just like, like I think some people like my sister in law,
she's gonna kill me for saying this, but Kaylee,
I always tell her I'm like, that shirt looks cute with those pants,
but you don't have to wear that shirt with those pants every single time.
Yeah, yeah.
Like try different sweatshirts, like that you never worn, you know,
or like people make laugh at me all the time from wearing
uggs with shorts right now.
So cute.
I would say that those shorts are really good.
But I like love uggs with shorts right now. So cute. I would say that this is really fun.
But I like love uggs with shorts.
Yeah.
I mean, we're wearing so shorts apparently,
but I love to wear uggs with shorts.
So just like switching it up, trying new things,
not just wearing the same, the same,
like any one.
You have one good outfit.
I feel like this is really good.
You don't have to wear that same set every time.
That's fun.
I love it.
I've been gotten lazy lately with my fashion, but I just like, I love matching
like, sex.
You literally don't have to think about it, but then you can mix and match all your
matches.
But I always go for like, very muted color, because then I can mix.
Matching sets was the best trend.
That was something good that came from 2020. Your holiday could use a little extra,
a bit more. Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way. Or maybe a whole lot of.
Add some extra to your holiday gatherings when you add ice cold Coke to your cart.
Coca-Cola. Real magic.
Okay, I'm just gonna go through and just ask maybe three more just fun ones.
Okay, this is just a very quick question, Bella. Are you gonna write another poetry book?
Maybe.
Maybe.
Hey, everybody, I get any more kids in the future.
I'm interested in this.
Oh my gosh.
We were just talking about this
because I'm the trip.
I feel like, and I know I love traveling with kids,
but literally we're just saying like,
one more kid would make it so much harder.
Yeah.
Because right now we can like,
saying, why don't we tell room and all that?
So, I really need to have right now we can't like, saying, why don't we tell room and all that. So, I really like.
And you need to have one on the airplane or like.
Yeah.
So, we really like.
We all are content right now.
Yeah.
We're pretty content right now, but we're saying like,
we still like really want to adopt.
So, like, maybe like, either an older kid or something,
I don't know.
That's cool.
So, I don't know. It's like, we're very, you can take your heart don't know. That's cool. So I don't know. It's like we're
Very in-time. But your heart's open. Yes. That's good. That's good. All right. Let's see if we get one more fun one. Oh
This is a great question because I know y'all's answers. Well, it was your first job that you've ever that you ever had
Oh gosh, okay. Well, I'm thinking about Maggie mood. Yeah
I'm gonna say Maggie moves. Yeah, I'm thinking about Maggie Moose. Yeah, that's how it's going to say Maggie Moose, yeah. Which was the best shot.
Well, your shot was really gay back because you were
to Maggie Moose, so we always got ice cream.
And then, out back, we always got bread.
And that was a blessing.
Honey butter.
The honey butter.
I guess long was miscaused.
Yep, and yours came back too, because we always get good coffee.
Yep, which just spree stuff.
Which is great because now you have so much coffee knowledge.
And then someone asked me I was making a latte and they're like,
they're like, John would teach you that I was like, no, no, boy, that's not best.
So that was a barista barista bella boo.
Yeah, you were so good. You were the best one.
You were on fleek girl.
I'm thanks.
Well, this has been so fun.
I know people are gonna absolutely love this
and you're gonna have to come back on sisters and friends.
Rebecca, wait a minute, brave it too.
I finally, we finally got you here.
So what you've been here.
I'm a regular regular.
I'm a regular regular.
Well, I had to say this was really sweet.
Whenever we were looking at the biggest podcast
in the past two years,
