Starting point is 00:00:00 This is a HeadGum Podcast. Welcome to another brand new episode of All Fantasy Everything, the podcast that auction drafts anything and everything in the world of popular culture. On today's episode, we are auction drafting Nicolas Cage movies. Our guest today is an enemy of the podcast, a basketball writer, a friend, a foe, a fierce and passionate Nicolas Cage. He's holding up a Nicolas Cage sequin embroidered pillow right now. This is one of two that I have.
Starting point is 00:01:04 Swipe it one way, it goes away, and swipe it down. Oh my god. One of two. It's Zach Harper. It's Zach Harper. What do you do with that pillow? You don't wanna know. All right.
Starting point is 00:01:15 I'm your host Ian Carmel. With me as always are my friends and stand up comedians, Sean Jordan and David Bore. And don't think I didn't notice how you switched fantasy draft, you switched it to auction draft. I love what you did there Thank you a lot of people on the internet saying Ian Carmel lost his fastball and I'm here to tell you he didn't That was me. That was me. Yeah Five different burners really
Starting point is 00:01:37 Ever since comfort beyond God's foresight came out. I'm kidding. It's fantastic. By the way, I have Five different patreon subscriptions to AFE, just so I can leave those comments every week. We encourage all of our listeners to do that. Yes! Stop! If y'all wanna go drop five different, let's get on it.
Starting point is 00:01:55 Speaking of the Patreon, usually we do these auction drafts just on the Patreon, the All Fantasy Everything Patreon, which you are free to join. There's a ton of auction drafts if you enjoy what's about to happen. But we decided to take one out here on the main feed. Couple of reasons, A,
Starting point is 00:02:11 it's fun to do an auction draft every now and then, B, Zack Harper is the most passionate about Nicolas Cage. Like, not just more passionate than anyone else is about Nicolas Cage, but I think about anyone else is about any other actor? I think Ian knows this. I don't know if you guys know this, but I've had this like Nicolas Cage book that I want to write in my head, and like in a notebook and everything kind of mapped it out.
Starting point is 00:02:40 A month and a half ago, started writing it. So I'm in it. Good job. I I'm in it. Good job. I am. I'm deep in it. Oh, what is, I love Nicholas cage. What is everyone else's relationship to like a list cage? I don't care.
Starting point is 00:02:59 I like, I don't, I don't, I don't. It is whatever I have. Yeah. You know what I mean? It's fun when it comes up I don't doesn't occupy but when it's unhinged I like it and he and going through this I will say a much bigger factor in my life than I really understood it That was kind of my experience to was getting ready for this draft. I was like, oh they're like cuz sort of his Reputation it's recovered a lot in the last few years Oh, they're like, cause sort of his reputation,
Starting point is 00:03:25 it's recovered a lot in the last few years, but there was a period there where you're like, this dude just makes shitty movies. That's all he does now. And I was going through it and I was like, there are a lot of movies that I really, really like that he's been in. And even movies that I don't like, but I've seen a ton.
Starting point is 00:03:42 Yeah, for sure. His superpower to me is like, it's the, and this is not an original thought, but like he's the actor who always makes a choice, right? Like so many movie stars, especially, will go through a movie and you're like, that's just so-and-so being so-and-so. He's the same guy in every movie.
Starting point is 00:03:59 And that can be great. Nicolas Cage, every movie, for better and very often, for much, much worse, will make a big choice. I don't know. Ease 50-50. We need to address, we need to address them first of all. So the patrons picked this topic. That's right.
Starting point is 00:04:15 And on the Patreon, if you're on the Patreon, you voted for a different topic. We litigated the issue and we decided that there are too many options for said topic. We might be able to do that on the Patreon in some fashion, like just movies that are 40% or something on Rotten Tomatoes, but yeah, this is a little more competitive. Right? We decided to go with this one.
Starting point is 00:04:37 Executive decision. And we're going to steal Harper's idea on the Patreon, not in public. We're going to do Harper's whole podcast. We're going to start doing Cinephobe. Prepare to get five comments about how much it sounds like. I'm very upset about this Nick Cage introduction. If I'm like, you guys have said some very upsetting things. He makes great decisions,
Starting point is 00:05:01 not in terms of movies he has to do, but acting within the movies. Well, my favorite clips, I believe, was for the movie Mom and Dad. But he was at, like, a Toronto Film Festival. And he's with the director and two other actors. And by the way, I've never heard of that movie, and I just spent a significant amount of time
Starting point is 00:05:20 looking at his filmography. Same. It's a banger. It's a great film. It's not a banger, Zach. It's not a banger. I just looked through all of his filmography. Same. It's a banger. It's a great- It's not a banger, Zach. It's not a banger. I just looked through all of his movies so many times. It's a great-
Starting point is 00:05:30 I read about all of them that I haven't seen, and I still- I want to say it came out like 2017, but it is- No, it never came out. It doesn't exist, but yeah, go on. It's a great movie idea where something's happening that is making parents murder their children. And it's like this horror movie, whatever. It's great.
Starting point is 00:05:46 It's him, it's Elmer Blair. It's fantastic. He goes ape shit in it. I'd like to see Arthur try, frankly. I'd like to see my son try. Three months old, give me the best you got. I'll give my god. But in that, the interviewer asks him like,
Starting point is 00:06:02 about going over the top on performances and his response is, you show me where the top is, I decide, you don't show me where the top is, and then goes into this thing where he's like, the director can speak to this better than I can, he knows that acting to me, I don't even like calling it acting because that implies lying,
Starting point is 00:06:20 and I'm just, this guy is the artist of all artists. In my opinion. And then he got on a Harley Davidson made out of skeleton bones. Yeah. And then he came out and threw a bunch of money in the air and did a karate kick above his head. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:35 A couple of them. He's so great. He is, look, people make fun of him a lot. I think if you actually look at his acting, he's one of the three or four greatest actors of all time. I agree. And also, I feel like that's going away. I feel like people make fun of him.
Starting point is 00:06:51 I want it on camera. Name four better. There are so many good actors. I do not. There are so many good actors, but name four better than him. I'll give you Daniel Day-Lewis. Meryl Streep. Meryl Streep. Denzel Washington.
Starting point is 00:07:04 Oh yeah, for sure. Denzel doesn't have the range that Nick Cage has. What? Ha ha ha ha ha! This is worse than your Lakers take. He doesn't have, he's subscribed to emotional hoops. I mean, I'm listening, I'm listening. He doesn't have-
Starting point is 00:07:18 Because Nick Cage is all over the place. He has the most range of any actor. All over the place is not skill. Yeah, yeah. I don't know. You can book me to do a lot of different jobs, and I would do them to the best of my ability. I just did it. And you would say David was all over the place.
Starting point is 00:07:33 Would you say he was a great ghostwriter? No, you would not. If I'm an all-star at all nine positions in baseball, then I'm an all-star at all nine positions. All-star? Seven people to start online. What? The steampunk. Seven people saw the Witcher. What are you talking about?
Starting point is 00:07:48 The steampunk sure did. The Witcher's terrible. He's great in that. That's a theme. He's great in a lot of bad shit. He's in a lot of bad shit. He's in a lot. Well, I blame the IRS.
Starting point is 00:07:58 I blame the IRS. Okay, yeah. You blame the IRS? Is that what you said? He is in a lot of that. Oh, because he's in... That's why he's doing them. He's making it up, yeah. Because he spends a lot of money and he doesn't have a lot of money. He's making it up, yeah. Because he spends is that what you said? He has had a lot of cash. That's why he's doing them.
Starting point is 00:08:08 Because he spends a lot of money and he does it in really fun ways. No, his money was mismanaged by someone he trusted. Oh. I think. Did that somebody he trusted be like, I'm not going to tell Nicolas Cage about this skeleton, this dinosaur skull I'm buying from somebody who smuggled it out of Mongolia.
Starting point is 00:08:28 I think if you buy five castles, the sixth one should be free. Okay, that's my, I think it should be like a subway sandwich. We go down there, New Orleans now, you get the crawfish, go down there now, you get to a juvenile, you get a Nicolas Cage grazed plot. Nicolas Cage haunted mansion. He bought. Nicolas Cage, Haunted Mansion.
Starting point is 00:08:45 He bought a Tyrannosaurus Rex skull. And then he had to give it back to Mongolia because it turned out it had been smuggled illegally out of the country. He didn't get his money back though. What, who was that skull trying to film? I had to be. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:09:00 Look, man, he's a copula. Like, hole, sized hole. That was a plot of an episode in Entourage. I just talked about this. Was it with you guys? They bought a fucking Tyrannosaurus Rex skull in Entourage, and he did it in real life. This is crazy.
Starting point is 00:09:14 That one must've been a lighter season, huh? Scottie Khan, yeah, it was dark, Vince. In case this is your first time listening to an AFE auction draft, it works this way. Each one of us, Zach, Sean, David, and myself have a budget of $100. And we are actually drafting six movies each. Any one of us, we're gonna go in order,
Starting point is 00:09:37 putting movies up to be bid on, but anybody can bid on that movie. If we were auctioning sandwiches and I put up the Rubin, that doesn't mean I get it. That just means it's now up there on that movie. If we were auctioning sandwiches and I put up the Rubin, that doesn't mean I get it, that just means it's now up there on the block. And whoever bids the most money gets that movie. But of course that will come out of your budget. The topics, we have different categories
Starting point is 00:09:58 for this topic of Nicolas Cage movies to make it even more challenging. And those categories are big budget, Golden Globe nominee, of which there are five, under 50% on Rotten Tomatoes, a hinged performance, and an unhinged performance, and then finally a wild card category. Those are the categories for which we have to wrap the Nicholas Cage
Starting point is 00:10:26 group. There's five of us. When it comes up to the debate on the hinged and unhinged, can we do like a majority rules? Yeah, I think that's fair. Yeah. We all get a vote. Yeah. Isaac, I think that's fair. I didn't prepare for this at all. But in a way you've been preparing for it. I've always been prepared for it. You're writing a book about the guy. You guys started saying categories and I was just like, whatever. You name it, I got it.
Starting point is 00:10:52 You have his Rotten Tomato list in your head. Like you can just see the numbers. There is one on that list that I've audibly, I was so upset about on that under 50. I'll bring it up, but it is a travesty. We're gonna get right into it. Yeah, let's get right into it. Let's just jump right into the draft.
Starting point is 00:11:12 We can talk about some dates later on, right about halfway through. How do you feel about that, Isaac? Sure, why not? All right, perfect. Well, let's go, we're gonna take one quick short break, and then we're gonna get right to the auction. We'll be right back.

Focus on the green flags in like, friends and partners, things like that. One of the green flags with my now wife when we first started dating is she picked me up friends and partners, things like that. One of the green flags with my now wife
Starting point is 00:11:45 when we first started dating is she picked me up and instead of going on like, just whatever, she like traditional dates, she planned this whole thing, she made a sandwich and she took me to the Portland Raceway to look at Christmas lights. And I almost knew immediately that it was gonna work. It was just such an amazing, fun, cool thing to do and that would be a green flag.
Starting point is 00:12:07 Just be on the positive side. You know how your boy likes to do. We talk about it even when they're not advertising. We just talked about it on a Patreon mailbag we did.
Starting point is 00:13:53 Mack Weldon is fantastic. It's like you're in on this club. Like every time I wear it, I know I look good, I have confidence in myself, and it's not loud, it's not flashy, it's just like this little secret weapon I have that I feel like not everybody knows about and it's such a nice feeling to know that about yourself. It's timeless, classic style,
Starting point is 00:14:14 infused with performance fabrics, hidden details, nothing too flashy so if you're looking for light as air underwear, which I'm wearing right now, anti-odor tees, sweaters, lightweight warmth. They have a full range of clothing to keep you covered in every single aspect. I have three or four pairs of the A-sweat pants. I'm wearing the boxers right now, the eight inch ones,
Starting point is 00:14:36 the Air Net eight inch ones. They also have six inch, but I like these ones because they go almost down to my knees. So it's like I'm wearing a 50s bathing suit and it just makes me feel held together, if you will. I have a couple of the sweaters, I have a zip up. The Henleys, holy buckets, you can't go wrong with a Mack Weldon Henleys.
Starting point is 00:14:54 I feel like a model when I'm wearing it. It's just so fun. And again, not flashy. I don't need to peacock, I don't need to be out there making sure everybody sees what time it is on me. It's just nice, simple, timeless good looks. The fabric is top notch, it's not like itchy, any of that. And it's also breathable.
Starting point is 00:15:14 Like a lot of it I can go skating, I can go hiking and all this stuff. And I can also wear it to like a nice meal with the wife, if we wanna go get some nice meatballs, if there's such a thing. I can wear my Mack Weldon out there after having skated all day, you wouldn't know the difference.
Starting point is 00:15:28 I'm telling you, it's fantastic. Give it a shot. We celebrate the entire catalog over here at All Fantasy Everything. Starting point is 00:15:50 And we're back. Welcome back to all fantasy. Everything already in progress. We are auction drafting Nicholas cage movies. I think it's only right to let Zach Harper put the first movie up for me. A hundred percent. Yeah, let's let him go. Oh, I don't know if I said that. We all have a hundred dollars. That's our budget. Yeah. Oh, I don't know if I said that we all have $100. That's our budget. Yeah. Oh man. This is tough.
Starting point is 00:16:08 This is not a serpentine draft. We just go straight. No. Yeah. Yeah, that's right. I don't even know what that is. You know, like a highway through Nebraska. You know what?
Starting point is 00:16:17 What? Nebraska, arguably. Oh, this is like a highway, cause it's straight. Yeah. Yeah. Other than Texas, I don't think there's a worse state to drive through than Nebraska. Nebraska arguably. Oh, this is like Iowa, because it's straight. Yeah. Yeah. Other than Texas, I don't think there's a worse state
Starting point is 00:16:27 to drive through than Nebraska. I-83 Nebraska can fucking take a long walk over short pyramids. I was driving through Nebraska, and a bird committed suicide. On windshield. With a gun. Yeah. Yeah, I had a note in everything.
Starting point is 00:16:43 The bird was flying across the road, it turned into like an oncoming car. That thing was ready to go. It was actually, the bird's wife was cheating on him so it was a bird or suicide. Yeah, it was a bird or suicide. Oh, nothing, huh? Nothing? No, I, yeah. It's good. I got it.
Starting point is 00:17:01 It's good. It's great on tape. Delivery needs work. But they're writing. Excellent. And I can't get on after midnight with gold like that. They said you gotta get rid of that facial hair. In case you're hearing something different in Sean, he has a handlebar goatee. Yeah. Is that right? Is that what you would call it?
Starting point is 00:17:24 It's coming to the mic. Yeah Goes down the sides like a waterfall, but it ain't a handlebar. Okay, it just looks that way cuz the darkness Cuz of the darkness the darkness Well, I believe in a thing called drafting Let's get let's get let's get nuts. All right. I'm ready to blow the budget. Face off. Wow.
Starting point is 00:17:53 Okay, so a couple of sub rules. I'm gonna explain this as we go along. When you put a movie up for the bidding, you have to declare what category you would like to put it in. Okay, big budget. Big budget. Now, if this fills other roles, we don't actually... Yeah, but if we win it, we could put it somewhere else.
Starting point is 00:18:10 We could put it anywhere else. But this is for sure a big budget movie. Face off, Nicolas Cage, John Travolta. Look, we don't need to waste time here. Let's start at 20. Jesus Christ, Harper! Wow, okay. All right. You have six categories, remember he guys got a lot of movies Harper. There's a lot out there
Starting point is 00:18:30 I understand how you feel about them. Then let me have it for 20 then 21 23 Shout out there man Thomas sure no that was 34 shit Gina Gershon 30 Zachael, I bet, 28. 28? 28. 29. God damn, guys.
Starting point is 00:18:50 You started saying Gina Gershon and just had to stop and say money. Gina Gershon from this one. You didn't even finish your name. Gina Gershon, dude. Gina Gershon is in this movie. Gina Gershon now. Gina Gershon forever.
Starting point is 00:19:03 Yeah. Yeah, eternal, eternally beautiful. This movie, he is unhinged. This is... Well yeah, he's, I'm Castor Troy! If I wanted to suck your tongue. Hold on, if I let you, what is it? What is the exact quote?
Starting point is 00:19:21 If I were to send you flowers, where would I... Sorry, if I were to let you suck on my tongue, would you be grateful? Something like that. Yeah, that's what it is. I could eat a peach for hours is from this, right? And then he kills her, by the way. He kills that woman minutes after he says that.
Starting point is 00:19:34 Well, she's a double agent. I could eat a peach for hours. This is, and I am dead serious about this. I know. He should have won an Oscar for this role What wasn't even nominated? People always won Doesn't matter let's figure out what you're saying deserved it instead of this movie is like 92% on Rotten Tomatoes
Starting point is 00:19:59 Like this like people think this is a bad move. I'm not talking about the audience. Like this critics like this was a well regarded critically acclaimed Masterpiece the winner was Jack Nicholson for as good as it gets It's a great movie It's Clyde Drexler to Michael Jordan if you think he's in a supporting role in In face-off, which I guess you could argue because one of them has to be a little one for both It's a great movie. It's Clyde Drexler to Michael Jordan. If you think he's in a supporting role in Face Off, which I guess you could argue because one of them has to be a lead.
Starting point is 00:20:28 You should have won for both. Robin Williams and Good Will Hunting. Two pretty good performances. Come on! Harper! That's a way better argument than Jack Nicholson is good at this. It's not your fault.
Starting point is 00:20:38 It's not your fault. When this came out, I don't remember, did people say it was bad when it came out? Because I never- No, this is revisionist history. Okay, because it always was good. It's got the 90s written all over it, take his face off. I mean, it's right there, it's star studded.
Starting point is 00:20:57 I mean, I think it was pretty well received. Did the critics like it? Critics love it. 93% on Rotten Tomatoes. That's wild. Yeah. It's not wild. It's wild. It's not 100.
Starting point is 00:21:09 It's a good movie. It is a good movie. High concept, two and a half hours, right? Is it long? No way. Is it that long? I thought it was long. No.
Starting point is 00:21:17 I thought it was cool. 90. $30. John Woo. It's $218. Yeah. John Woo directed it. 35. Nicolas Cage is also great at this. 36. Now the argument that he deserved a best actor, Oscar,
Starting point is 00:21:26 is because he's playing somebody playing him. Yeah, right. Inception originally. He's playing himself, and then he's playing someone else playing him. All you little film school people who love Christopher Nolan, he bit all that off Nick Cage. I don't have that confirmed, but that's a lie.
Starting point is 00:21:45 I just came up with that. Yeah, let's not be saying this on me. I think he bit it off Mike Werb and Michael Colliery, the writers of FaceUp. The writers of FaceUp. What else did he write? Your boy Mike Werb. What do you say?
Starting point is 00:21:59 What a fun name to say. Lara Croft, Tomb Raider, Curious George, Firehouse Dog, Tekken. A bunch of 92s. 92s across the board. Yeah. Dark Man 3, Die Dark Man Die, come on. Bangers, Curious George.
Starting point is 00:22:14 It's crazy he didn't get more work after a face-off that was of that caliber. Now, when they switch, Cage, much better at doing the Travolta roll than Travolta is at the Cage roll. Yes, yes, but that's not really fair. Cage is still believable as a hinged. Yeah. And also Cage is better at his role as well.
Starting point is 00:22:33 He's a better actor. He's better in the whole thing. He's the greatest actor of all time. 40 bucks, $40. 41. Can't do it. Who's, anyone? This is one of the definitive movies of this era,
Starting point is 00:22:46 both period and especially for Nicolas Cage, but for me, it's not the defining. I know what the defining is for everyone else. I'm telling you, this is the best movie. It's pretty good. I looked for it last night. It's not streaming anywhere. I was bummed.
Starting point is 00:23:00 I really got it in my head that I wanted to watch it last night. You gotta own it. While I was making my list, I was like, I need, you know, need some motivation. $44. $44. Take one of those five subscriptions I've got and go buy it for $9. I almost rented it. It was pushing. It's so good.
Starting point is 00:23:17 One in the morning. Otherwise I would have rented it and watched it. 45. You guys. I want to keep playing, so I can't. I think Ian wants to push how far I'm going to go with this one, but he also is a little worried about, you know, buying this for 50. You've diagnosed me perfectly. Dr. Harper is in the building.
Starting point is 00:23:36 That's exactly what's happening right now. And I think I have to let you take it for 45. I can't say. I think I have to let you take it for 45. I can't say. I think I have to let you take it for 45. I think I have to let you take it for 45. I think I have to let you take it for 45.
Starting point is 00:23:44 I think I have to let you take it for 45. I think I have to let you take it for 45. I think I have to let you take it for 45. I think I have to let you take it have to... I think I have to let you take over 45. I think I have to let you take over 45. I think I have to let you take over 45. What do you mean that's it? They say healthcare isn't free. That's almost half your budget. That's a lot of money. I really like that movie. It's so much money for the first pick.
Starting point is 00:24:00 Did I get it? Yeah, I think so. I would have gone to 80. I'm I think I would have gone to 80 I'm serious I would have gone to 80 bucks chimpanzee money yes absolutely this is the chimpanzees of the cage movies how weird we're auction drafting zoo animals in a Zach Harper well if you want to hear it go on over to the patreon yeah when do we do that a while ago yeah Sean Jordan did do a lot of drugs. Oh, we're going up. I'm going up you have $100. All right Okay, well
Starting point is 00:24:33 I'm gonna put it in the Under 50 on rotten tomatoes. No, I'm not I'm gonna put in big budget on in 60 seconds for a dollar five dollars Six dollars ten dollars in big budget. Gone in 60 seconds for a dollar. Five dollars. Six dollars. Ten dollars. The quick, you can, do you in on this one? $15. Angelina Jolie has blonde dreadlocks in this movie.
Starting point is 00:24:58 Yeah. And she plays a character named Sway. The cast is crazy, dude. It's like an Ocean's Eleven type situation where there's just so many people in it. Not quite of that caliber, but like Robert Duvall. He's Memphis Reigns. It has Nicolas Cage doing this, which even if you're just listening, you know what I'm doing?
Starting point is 00:25:11 He's tweaking his nipples right now. Oh, let's go. Yeah. It's got Bobby Doovs, it's got Delroy Lindy, it's got Timothy Ollifizzle, it's all over the aforementioned Scottie Khan. Will Patton. Of being this mother- Will Patton. Mother- Will Patton. It's got Bobby Doves, it's got Delroy Lindy, it's got Timothy Ollifizzle, it's all over the, the aforementioned Scottie Conn.
Starting point is 00:25:28 Will Patton? Will Patton is the best character actor of all time. That's the bold statement. That's the next auction round, actually. There's no getting around it. Who's better than Will Patton? Maybe William Fickner, that's it. What about William H. Macy?
Starting point is 00:25:44 We just named two better Williams. A character actor, William H. Macy? Dude, we just named two better Williams. A character actor, William H. Macy isn't a character actor. Nicholas Cage. Will Patton is the quintessential character actor. Anyway. Bill Macy's kind of a character actor. No, he's not, he's the lead in so many, a character actor to me is somebody who's not the lead, ever.
Starting point is 00:25:59 That's a character actor. It's a movie. This movie was a gone in 26% on Rotten Tomato. I'm a big fan of the movie. I'm a big fan of the movie. I'm a big fan of the movie. I'm a big fan of the movie. I'm a big fan of the movie. I'm a big fan of the movie. I'm a big fan of the movie. I'm a big fan of the movie. I'm a big fan of the movie. I'm a big fan of the movie.
Starting point is 00:26:10 I'm a big fan of the movie. I'm a big fan of the movie. I'm a big fan of the movie. I'm a big fan of the movie. I'm a big fan of the movie. I'm a big fan of the movie. I'm a big fan of the movie. I'm a big fan of the movie.
Starting point is 00:26:18 I'm a big fan of the movie. I'm a big fan over the place. I remember when The Fast and the Furious came out. I was like, oh, so they're ripping off Gone in 60 Seconds. Like that was my initial reaction to it.
Starting point is 00:26:29 I'm like, we have this. We have Gone in 60 at home. We don't need this franchise. Yeah, 20 bucks. 10 of them, yeah. Damn, 20 bucks. Shy McBride? I don't know who that is, 25.
Starting point is 00:26:42 You don't know Shy McBride? You don't know Shy McBride? I feel like you love Shy McBride. You don't even know him. You absolutely. You don't know Sean McBride? You don't know Sean McBride? I feel like you love Chy McBride, you don't even know him. You absolutely love him. You love Chy McBride. Is it Chy? That's my bad, Chy. It's Chy?
Starting point is 00:26:52 I thought it was Chy. It's actually Chi. How do you spell it? Chi, I call him Kenneth, which is his birth name. Yeah, I was gonna say. Uh, he was in Draft Day? I'm not up on Draft Day like that. I saw it the one time Anyway, movie waiting. Yeah, so the movie waiting. He's a chef. Yeah. Oh
Starting point is 00:27:12 This is the guy this is the old-school car thief the guy who's like He was the gloves on and everything I get you. Yeah. All right. Yeah, that guy's dope as hell 26 on my own bid That's how it goes on made. What I just up my own bid. That's how it goes on main. Really, what? I just up my own bid. I love it, man. This, my face off. If we would have had a hangover movie category, these two would be right in the pocket. This is.
Starting point is 00:27:32 Boston Public is what you were thinking of there, David. That's what I was. Yeah, yeah. 27. Fantastic on a Sunday. You can pick it up anywhere. Wow, you guys really like on 60 seconds. It's very quintessential for me.
Starting point is 00:27:42 I've seen you devour Buffalo wings like you've never seen this movie before I've seen it Ship accidents You know, I was in cruise ship accidents on YouTube. Those wings were going down. That's lemon pepper all day, man. Bridge over the river Kwai. Like, this movie's fucking tense. You guys wanna get some Buffalo Wild Wings and watch Intolerance later? Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:14 I just, yeah, I love it. I'm not saying, I'm just saying $27. That's a lot of money for gone 60 seconds. I love it because it's an ensemble, so it's just enough cage. It is a lot of money for God. I love it. It's an ensemble. So it's just enough cage It is a lot. Yeah, you know, I mean if you don't you're not like this guy's not you're like, all right What is this character's name in this? Hold on. I have to look at this rain Memphis rain Memphis rights And we didn't we neglected to mention this he is Pat castor Troy. Yeah
Starting point is 00:28:42 and Troy yeah and Pastor Troy and cast your Troy right, but then I thought Memphis Reigns and Memphis Bleak. Are you doing Memphis Bleak and Memphis Reigns? No, I didn't jump to that. I didn't go. You was already Memphis Bleak when this movie... Listen, do I get it? This was also one of those first movies for me. I'm a little younger than you guys. I'm Isaac's age. This was one of those first adult movies that all the kids saw. Yeah, that's right. You remember where everybody in junior high school had seen God in 60 Second seconds. I like a nice villain with a dumb hobby like woodworking
Starting point is 00:29:28 and an even dumber accent and a name like Raymond Kalitri. I love a heist, I love a family of criminals. Maybe they really did take it. Coyote Fast and the Furious really did take it. Come save your brother, you know, like, and I know you got out the game. Also when they act like Grand Theft Auto is this big of a fucking deal. That's always funny to me too, where you, like, and I know you got out the game. Also, when they act like Grand Theft Auto is this big of a fucking deal.
Starting point is 00:29:45 That's always funny to me, too, where you're like, also, the of Dodo is a big deal, dude. I mean, you treat it like he's like he's killing people. Well, yeah, but it's like you get in a lot of trouble for stealing cars, man. All the cars are like, $30,000. It's not like it's not like shoplifting. You tied him. He was like, I want a Hyundai Elantra in every color they make. So I got it.
Starting point is 00:30:11 No, that was me. 20. Wait, 20. No, you you doubled up on your own and then I went on top of it. Oh, sorry. 30. Eleanor is the name of this. You guys hear that out there listening? 30 bucks. All right. Big budget.
Starting point is 00:30:34 30. So we got started calling me. We start calling me big budget. I'll call you big budget. That'd be tight. Call me big budget in New Orleans. This did have a set parameters never set parameters for Big Budget, but I think we know.
Starting point is 00:30:46 I think we all kind of do. Yeah, I think so. This one's budget was 90 million, between 90 and 100. It made 237 million. Both the movies so far we've drafted. There's profitable ventures. There's six that I have for Big Budget, when I did a little digging,
Starting point is 00:30:59 but like, you just kind of get the vibe, right? Yeah. You're gonna- There's more than six. You might be surprised to find out that this was a Jerry Bruckheimer production. Yeah. Why the lightning gave it away right away. Every time I see that lightning,
Starting point is 00:31:13 I'm like, is this a Top Gun I didn't know about? Every time I see the lightning, I get horny. I'm just like, something's good. Something's good here. Well, Zinger, you're my bad dude. Thanks, Bruck. Bruck, you're letting me know I'm alive. David, you have $100, and it's time for you
Starting point is 00:31:28 to put a movie up for the bidding. I get broke. I am going to go, tell me if this works, unhinged, the weatherman. Yes. Yeah. Yeah. He's wearing a bow and arrow on the cover. Yeah, he's wearing a bow and arrow.
Starting point is 00:31:42 Yeah. That's pretty unhinged. I would never be like, that's a hinged person unless Robin Hood, I guess. Or is the world unhinged, happening around them? Uh-oh, uh-oh, we got a free thinker in the group. No, he's unhinged. The weatherman's great.
Starting point is 00:32:04 Another movie he should have been nominated for. He's a little crazy in that movie. He did go. He did go crazy in the weather. He did go crazy. Yeah, he goes. Is it Michael Caine said his dad? Michael Caine is his dad. His name is David. He has that really funny scene where he's walking around and he's like,
Starting point is 00:32:21 his wife's like, don't forget the soy sauce. And you just hear his inner monologue, and he's like, god, it's cold as shit. I just want to put my face in there. I wish I had two dicks. And he forgets the soy sauce. And he's like, god, it's cold as shit. And he's like, god, it's cold as shit.
Starting point is 00:32:32 And he's like, god, it's cold as shit. And he's like, god, it's cold as shit. And he's like, god, it's cold as shit. And he's like, god, it's cold as shit. And he's like, god, it's cold as shit. And he's like, god, it's cold as shit. And he's like, god, it's cold as shit. And he's like, god, it's cold as shit.
Starting point is 00:32:40 And he's like, god, it's cold as shit. And he's like, god so at my dad's funeral, all I said was when I think of my dad, I think of Bob Seger's Like A Rock. And that's it. I love it, it stuck with me. What's the bid?
Starting point is 00:32:51 I didn't let you bid, I'm sorry. $5. It's going in hinged, unhinged. Yeah, that's right. Unhinged. Seven. It's one of his more hinged, unhinged performances. That's what I'm saying. Yeah, that actually toes the line really low.
Starting point is 00:33:07 It really toes the line. It could go either way. Cause when I thought about it, it was one of the first ones I thought, and I wasn't quite sure where to put it. $10. Well, you're great at that shit. This begs the question,
Starting point is 00:33:17 is it an unhinged, hinged dichotomy, or is there a middle ground between hinged and unhinged? I think it's a dichotomy or is there a middle ground between hinged and unhinged? I think it's a dichotomy. What does a prison cell have to do with it? Yeah, I think for our purposes, we need no middle ground. Okay, great.
Starting point is 00:33:34 I caught that prison cell reference. That is the episode. Throwback to 300 episodes ago. Yeah, that I tell people, if you want to get in on A.F.E. this episode, I think it's the perfect introduction. Words that make you sound smart. Yeah. Yeah, I'll go.
Starting point is 00:33:48 This isn't one of my ones, so I'm out of this bit. I'll go 11 on it. It wasn't gonna be, but now I'm. It 12, it was, I watched it a lot. I remember my friend had it on DVD, smoked a lot. My friend, okay, my buddy had a two TV system back in the day. You had to.
Starting point is 00:34:03 So there was a lot of smoking so much weed playing Tiger Woods golf in watching the weatherman We played so much Tiger Woods golf freshman year of college. It's that if I really think about it It might be the video game. I played more of that than Madden. Yeah, I played more of that than any one Madden I played more Madden overall, right. I played four tournaments in a day. Like you're just an insane amount of golf. Sometimes we played for skins and it would be like two full rounds or something. You know what I mean? Like.
Starting point is 00:34:32 Was it VJ Singh? Was he the guy in there? VJ Singh, VJ Singh. This is, you know what the guy. We're talking about a whole different thing. Yeah. Yeah. This is a lot of fun.
Starting point is 00:34:43 This is, Gore Verbinski directed this in between Pirates of the Caribbean movies. Really? Yeah. Funny. This is different. $12, is that for me? Yeah. Oh yeah, David said $12.
Starting point is 00:34:57 You could take it down. Yeah. I got other plans, but it's like, man, that's a good one. That's a great pick. Hell yeah. I think that's a pretty good, I think that's a, I think I got, I think I got a guy, good on hedged because that's the category where the big money is going to get spent.
Starting point is 00:35:15 Yeah. We're going to throw a lot of money around unhinged. That's what I was worried about. That's why I'm telling my secrets. I'm about to spend a lot of money, or hopefully not, in under 50% on Rotten Tomatoes. Because I am introducing the motion picture. Oh, by the way, one other rule.
Starting point is 00:35:33 You can move a movie from one category to another if you need to, cost $1. That's for later. For right now, National Treasure. Yeah. Okay. South Dakota, baby bid $3 $5 love this movie $10 $12 and Kruger Helena, Troy 15 $16
Starting point is 00:35:56 18 20 who's his dad? John John Boy, John Boy, yeah, that22. Christopher Plummer's in this too. John Voight, one of our finest Americans now, right? Finest Amer- dude, do you get a Kennedy Center on her any day now, I'm sure. Yeah. Harvey Keitel. I'm telling ya. The Da Vinci Code before the Da Vinci Code. I'm Keitel-ing ya. I'm Harvey Keitel-ing ya. $25 for National Treasure.
Starting point is 00:36:22 He steals the Declaration of Independence. It's so fun. This movie is so good. It became one of the ultimate memes. Like it is, it's a great, you know what, all right. You guys like, you guys like the Da Vinci Code. This is what the Da Vinci Code was trying to be. I just said, yeah, that's what I'm saying. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:36:40 I love, we just talked about that last week, didn't we? Yeah, I like the Da Vinci Code fucking rules. Yeah. It's terrible. I like the DaVinci Code rules. Yeah. Yeah. It's terrible. This is just- I read the book. Same. This is one of the six books I've read. This is as good a read as the DaVinci Code. 26. 28.
Starting point is 00:36:56 I love this movie. This movie works on every level. It gets the job done on every level. It's like, I kind of think it's actually a good movie. Like for what it's trying to accomplish. Like a popcorn movie. For what it's, yeah. It's funny on like the meme level. It's great as Nicolas Cage is a movie star. It's a good family movie. A good family movie. It's a great crossover movie. Yeah, it works on every level. Yeah, I can't believe they stopped. I think the second one didn't make money
Starting point is 00:37:26 We did the second one for Cinephobe. I can't remember Is the Declaration of Independence just sitting there? Not anymore. I've never seen it. Well not after you took it, but yeah Has anyone ever got eyes on it? I wonder how big it is. I feel like I did. Is it like one of those novelty Valentine's cards you get at Fred Meyer? It's about that size, yeah. They wrote it on way too big paper, like this is gonna matter, so it's gotta be on big paper.
Starting point is 00:37:51 It's cause when they were writing it, why wouldn't they just use regular paper, you know what I mean? They didn't have the regular, like printer paper? What do you mean? No, I mean, no, regular size. Like what was the regular size paper? Oh, they only did things in scrolls back then
Starting point is 00:38:07 big scroll big scroll Big school actually big scroll not big budget. Call me big scrolling When if only if only you could. 29. 30. 35. 36. See, all right.
Starting point is 00:38:33 Whoa. Justin, yeah. Damn, this is going up high. I did not think this was gonna go that high. I just wanted, I mean, I want it, but I'm happy with you spending 36 bucks. You're telling me this is within $10 a face-off? That's insane. Ha ha ha ha! Yeah, I mean, when you spending 36 bucks. You telling me this is within $10 a face-off? That's insane.
Starting point is 00:38:47 I mean, when you do it like that. I'll say what I wanted to say after I win this bidding. National treasure. I don't like that, 37. I don't like the tone. Well, why not? I didn't love the tone. They end it in South Dakota. It's frankly It's insane. They end it in South Dakota.
Starting point is 00:39:06 It's frankly, a lot of people end it in South Dakota. Yeah. Where I'd say you go to end it. I might have texted you that I wasn't gonna say that. It is frankly insane to me that this movie is below 50% on Rotten Tomatoes. Why do you think that is? Because critics were just up their ass
Starting point is 00:39:25 and like, this is stupid. I think it was easy to be snarky about because it only steals the Declaration of Independence. Like, yeah man, Indiana Jones stole the Ark of the Covenant. The Holy Grail. The hearts and minds of a generation. This is as close as you get to Indiana Jones. 40 by the way. I never thought about that.
Starting point is 00:39:43 It's the same shit. There you go, all right, you can have it. Thank you get to Indiana Jones. 40 by the way. I never thought about that. It's the same shit. There you go, all right, you can have it. Thank you. 40. 40. Would you get it under 50? This is the points I wanted to make after I won it
Starting point is 00:39:51 because I didn't want to drive up the bidding too much. I do think this is as close as we've gotten to Indiana Jones since Indiana Jones. 42. Including some, no! No, no, no. No, no, no. No, no, no.
Starting point is 00:40:02 No, no, no. And then the other one is, just to your face-off point, I think there are other movies in his oeuvre that get close to doing what face-off do, and I think this is the only one that does what National Treasure does. No. What?
Starting point is 00:40:17 What other movies does he switch faces? Well, not that, not Tell Me What. You think it'll freak you Friday? You think it'll freak you Friday? I guess it will. Ghost Rider is the best. By the way, freak you Friday? You think it'll freak you Friday? I guess it'll ghost write every Sunday. By the way, it's the subtext of several of his movies. You know I don't do subtext.
Starting point is 00:40:30 What do you think? Hogy text. A very on the level kind of guy. More of a hoagy text kind of guy. Grinder text. We heard it the first time he in it, which just wasn't very funny. I didn't.
Starting point is 00:40:41 Oh! Whoa! Whoa. That's what Spider said right before he got shot. I thought it was funny enough, you know, to say again. That's the first hole I dug. Why don't you go fuck yourself, Tommy? Now I'm thinking about Spider.
Starting point is 00:41:05 Anyway, I thought it was her. I'm gonna replace, it'll be replaced next week by a different producer, I feel like. Harper, yeah, yeah, yeah. We're bringing in Timbaland. Harper? All right, this is going, we're gonna put this under 50%.
Starting point is 00:41:24 The movie Snake Eyes, $1. going, we're gonna put this under 50%, the movie Snake Eyes, $1. A Steadicam shot at the beginning, it's like six minutes or something, am I crazy? Yeah, it's like the longest. I always confuse it with another movie that I'm going to pick later. Yeah, I've definitely seen Snake Eyes.
Starting point is 00:41:39 What's the plot? So he is a Atlantic City cop who is also like a mover and shaker. He's a dirty cop. They, there's a boxing match, an assassination attempt on like the secretary of defense, I think, or something like that. Like one of those people. Yes.
Starting point is 00:41:57 And then we find out that it is an inside job and they've, they've got, so like the, one of my favorite parts of the trailer is I've got 18,000 people here, like, you know, trying to be... And he's like, you got 18,000 eyewitnesses, because everyone saw this murder happen in the boxing match arena. We find out the fighter was supposed to take a dive and everything, and he is trying to unravel this entire thing, when in the past he's just been this kind of shitty on the take
Starting point is 00:42:26 Atlantic City cop, you know, a little bit of conscience gets in there. Carla Gugino's in it. She is kind of blind in it. And it... Oh, my God. She's right up there with Gina Gershon, too. That's the... I think that's a... Yeah, that's a type, for sure. My type. If you're wondering why this movie sounds like it's on so much cocaine, it's because Brian De Palma...
Starting point is 00:42:45 Yeah, absolutely. This is a cocaine-ass movie. This is also like an all-time hungover, like just throw it on. And it is, I mean, this hits for me every single time. How involved do you think Nicolas Cage was in picking out the wardrobe for this movie? Extremely. All I remember about the movie, even like ads and stuff, I just remember he was dressed nuts. Yeah. all I remember about the movie. Yeah. Even like ads and stuff, I just remember he was dressed nuts.
Starting point is 00:43:07 Yeah, Gary Sinise is in there, John Heard is in there, the dad from Home Alone. Who else? Kevin Dunn, another great character actor, I believe. Luis Guzman's in it. Ooh, gotta love a Guzman. I love Luis Guzman. That's the character actor. Oh yeah. Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:43:28 Absolutely. He's not as good as Will Patton, but he's up there. But he's always kind of playing himself. Guzman? Yeah, that's Guzman. Yeah. I would invite Will Patton to Christmas dinner. I mean, he's just... So one of the top three? Will Patton makes you think he'd listen to you.
Starting point is 00:43:44 What does that have to do with acting? It's a good actor man. He's good. He's got me. He's got a hook in me I'll go see a movie of Will Patton's ninth build. Does anyone else want to bid on? This is it I got nothing to say it too early. He's hinged in this. Uh, is that what you picked? Is he on the hinged side of the unhinged? This is, this is a little bit weatherman where like there's a, there's a, there's a darkness to someone doesn't mean that they're not hinged or unhinged rather a darkness. You can still be hinged with a little darkness.
Starting point is 00:44:24 Yeah. Most people are. I think that's the world. Yeah. On here she's like. I think I get it for a dollar. Two dollars. Three. You wanna play this game again?
Starting point is 00:44:35 You proved your point Ian, calm down. Yeah, that's it. Hold on, I'm trying to figure out what his name in this movie is. Oh, I can tell you, Rick Santoro. That's another good one. It's a good name. What is he a national treasure?
Starting point is 00:44:48 Hold on. I think it's Memphis Reigns. No. It's Rey-Z. It's Rey-Z? No, he's like Ben Gates or something like, or Ben. Yeah, it is Benjamin Franklin Gates. Benjamin Franklin Gates, that's what he's saying.
Starting point is 00:45:01 And his dad. It's Patrick, is's grandpa's Christopher Plummer and John Adams Gates. I forget, yeah. Isn't he related to, oh wait, did you just say that, Benjamin Franklin? Yeah. Yeah, sorry.
Starting point is 00:45:13 I don't listen most of the time. This, hey guys, is a good movie. It is a good movie. I'm not saying it's not. There's just, there's different ones that I want. I would not be mad if I had it for $4. Five. I would not be mad if I had it for $4. Five. I would not be mad if I had it for $7.
Starting point is 00:45:30 Eight. Now we're getting into that uncomfortable territory. Let's do it, let's dance. Let's dance. Put on your dancing shoes. I think I, nine, I think I would be happy with this in any single digit denomination. Okay, well there you go, You can take it for ten. All right, just steal it ten Now we're getting into that uncomfortable. I think this is his best under 50% movie. I
Starting point is 00:45:54 Have a second movie, but I think this is What good one they have gone in 60 seconds is his best under 50% movie. You like it so much you didn't even put it in that category. There's other movies that fit. Big budget, there's less big budget than dope movies in under 50. I think, is it my turn? Really? Is it my turn?
Starting point is 00:46:16 I think the opposite of that, but it is indeed your turn. Let me just really quick, Zack has $45 left over, Sean has 70, David has has 88 and I have 60 Go on John. Sorry. Don't think ill of me for liking this movie under 50% on Rotten Tomatoes 8 millimeter. It's That's a hundred where I learned it yeah, I was gonna say this movie was on my list because I remember I think my
Starting point is 00:46:46 Stepdad renting it and it scared the shit out of me It's that movie scared the fuck out of me So and I'm not putting in a hinge, but if you wanted to this is an example I think of he's hinged in this is it yeah Yeah, this one cuz he's like, he's not, he gets thrown into the world, cause he's just a private eye. And then that old lady wants to know
Starting point is 00:47:11 if her husband was killing people. And that's such a, god damn, it's crazy. But James Gandolfini up in there, a young, perverted Joaquin Phoenix. He was just crawling Phoenix back then. Can I tell you some of the names in this movie? He was just crawling Phoenix back then. Can I tell you some of the names in this movie? He was just crawling Phoenix back then. Oh, there he is.
Starting point is 00:47:29 Oh, yeah. Okay. Carl Kagan Phoenix? Nicolas Cage plays the understated Tom Wells in this. Joaquin Phoenix is Max California. Ha ha! Ha ha! Five dollars just for that.
Starting point is 00:47:43 That's a place for Max California. That's a place for Max California. Five bucks for an older name that never gets changed, right? The bidding is Max California? I would think so. James Gandolfini plays Eddie Poole. Peter Stormare plays Dino Velvet. Who's Peter Stormare? Six dollars. He's in Armageddon, he's in Bad Company.
Starting point is 00:48:06 He's in Big Lebowski. Big Lebowski. He's the nihilist, right? Fargo. Did you storm air? Yeah, I think so. Yeah, okay, anyway, yeah, 10 bucks. I like 8mm.
Starting point is 00:48:16 I can never bring myself, well, you gotta be in a weird place to turn it on, you know? No, I don't wanna watch it at all. But I like it. Same thing with Mystic River and shit like that. These movies that I like a lot, you know? No, I don't wanna watch it at all. But I like it. Same thing with like Mystic River and shit like that. Like these movies that I like a lot, you just gotta be, I watched Saving Private Ryan on the plane the other day and it felt crazy.
Starting point is 00:48:32 But it's so good. Have you seen this, Isaac? I have not. It's a tough watch. It's really good, it's really, really good. So this woman, this older woman who's rich, her husband dies and she hires Nicolas Cage to investigate. She found a bunch of tapes that her husband had,
Starting point is 00:48:48 and one of them is a snuff film, which, they're real? Are they real? Which, where people get killed or what? I don't wanna know, buddy. Anyway, it's a murder on tape. And so, Nick Cage dives into the underbelly of Hollywood's pornography scene, and I guess finds this,
Starting point is 00:49:05 well I don't want to wreck it if you guys feel like having a weird day and you haven't seen anything. You know, if you just got back from the doctors or something you're gonna feel nothing. Make sure you feel perfect before you put it on. But I'm gonna, did I do 12? I did 12. 13.
Starting point is 00:49:21 15. Wow. Max California. What am I, what am I like? What kind I what am I like what kind of guy That's what he's that's what he's there for that's good Max California I drive up the price $17 Wow really millimeter, huh? For eight millimeter. I guess that's a good, it's a tough catalog.
Starting point is 00:49:47 You're telling me this is within $30 of Face Off. I'm telling you that you got lucky with Face Off. I think it should have gone for much higher, but I didn't want it. He just got such a celebrated catalog. I didn't see any reason to, cause there's equal, if Face Off is not like a distant front runner
Starting point is 00:50:06 for Nicolas Cage, to me. Me too. I think it's on par with four or five other joints. So there's, I saw no reason to go past 45. And it looks like I'm taking down the weird one for eight, or for $17. Unless anyone likes murder more than me. Unless Max California. Take it down. Take it down. 17's a fair price. I knew that we named her Max for a17. Unless anyone likes murder more than me. Unless Max is California.
Starting point is 00:50:25 Take it down. Take it down. 17's a fair price. I knew that we named her Max for a reason. It must have been in my subconscious. Absolutely. Why, just Max is speaking to me. Man, that would a weird movie to have on there,
Starting point is 00:50:37 but it's good. That's all right. It is good. You have a strong numbers theme going on right now. Mm-hmm. David, time for you to bid. Let's let the big dog eat. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:50 Conair. Ooh, big budget. Dicks on the table, gentlemen. 30. 30? 30? You motherfuckers. You're only gonna have fifteen bucks.
Starting point is 00:51:06 David didn't even start the bidding. No, he didn't. He didn't get to. He's gotta pay for it. He said, he digs on the table and it came out. Oh, thirty-two. Cameron Poe. He plays Cameron Poe in this movie. Forty dollars.
Starting point is 00:51:22 Whoa. Talk about ensemble. What's the max I can do here? 42? 42. Yeah, it is. Man. So the other day, who was- 43.
Starting point is 00:51:33 Who directed it? You just, it's- Simon West? Simon, oh really. It's not Brookheimer. It's a, I do believe Jerry Brookheimer was the producer, but it was not a- For sure.
Starting point is 00:51:43 It wasn't a Michael Bay. Michael Bay. So they wanted to use real the producer, but it was not a Michael Bay. For sure was the producer. So they wanted to use real prisoners. I think it was Nicolas Cage who wanted to use real prisoners and ultimately they had to shut it down. And then they ended up with like the fucking dopest people that you could have. This is the craziest cast of any movie.
Starting point is 00:51:57 Is he hinged in this? I kind of think he's hinged. He's extremely hinged in this. Of course. I think he's in too big budget. It's big budget. Big budget for sure. It's 75 million, I think back here. I'm thinking it's too big budget. It's big budget. Big budget for sure. It's 75 million.
Starting point is 00:52:06 I think back in... I mean they shut down Vegas' strip for this. It's a big budget movie. $45. Whoa, really Ian? Yeah. Are you just pushing me or do you want it? I want it.
Starting point is 00:52:17 $46. I want his hair blowing in the wind in the tank top. I want put the bunny down. I want, I know it's not his line, I want Q-zack and sandals in a suit, 47. $48. I want telling my little friends at elementary school that you could really kill a man
Starting point is 00:52:33 by shoving their nose bone up into their brain. You can, dude, you pop someone's philtrum, instant death. That's the science. Are you speaking that, are you speaking about that with a Taekwondo background? I was in a snuff film once and he never forgot. Science are you speaking that? Once I watched a documentary called eight millimeter palm to the pilgrim instant death
Starting point is 00:52:58 Test me go on test me you see me in the streets go on isn't that who isn't isn't the pilgrim who? $51 poisoned all the Native Americans Pilgrims yeah Yeah, I think the first of all you uneducated swine Poisoned all the Native Americans? Piltrums? Yeah. Yeah. I'm saying philtrum first of all. You uneducated swine. I'm saying philtrum with an F like Frank. Not piltrum. God damn.
Starting point is 00:53:14 Okay. I don't know if I... No I can't. You bet $50? No I can't. $50. Yeah. Ah man. It deserves.
Starting point is 00:53:21 Man that's Ushemi. It's up there. That's Ushemi character. Oh my god. They put him in the Hannibal Lecter and you're just and he just seems he's it's just so smart him and him and Malkovich dude the dialogue I think you want to talk about cocaine Was fantastic any tray ho Qzak Chappelle Oh, man. Danny Trejo. Danny Trejo. Q-Zack. Q-Zack. Chapelle. Monica Potter.
Starting point is 00:53:47 The woman in the- Bubba Gump. The woman. Yeah, Bubba Gump right next to him. 52. I thought I said 52. No, you said 51. Oh, 53.
Starting point is 00:53:55 Jesus Christ. David's gonna get it. That sounded like a line from Conair the way you did it. Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ. The prison. The prison. The prison.
Starting point is 00:54:03 The prison. The prison. The prison. The prison. Jesus Christ. That sounded like a line from Conair the way you. The prisoners have taken the plane. He's just perfect. He went to jail, but for being a good, like for it, like being a good guy. He's an army rage. His hair, he's balding, but he has the long hair. The noise he makes, the noise. And if you guys, honestly, if you're listening to this,
Starting point is 00:54:25 pause it, go find him on YouTube. The noise he makes when he says, I'm going home, son, and Uggs, his friend, is a noise I've never heard a human make. Everybody, Isaac, if you could drop that in. Oh my God. I'm going home, son! He goes, I'm going home, son! He goes, I'm going home, son! It's crazy. 54. $55.
Starting point is 00:54:53 Okay, I'm out. I can't be out. That guy takes his picture and he goes, I'll be getting that back. Big budget. And when the guy's got a belt around his neck or whatever, and he's like, told you I'll be getting that picture back This is the Nicholas I I'm so happy. That's if I didn't that's that's this is the Nicolas Cage movie to me
Starting point is 00:55:14 I do regret having gone so well actually don't I love national treasure, but no I would have liked to have had I Stayed in on Conair as long as I could he's got five or six you could have gone 56. I Guess I could have but he would have David you would have you were taking Conair as long as I could. He's got five or six. You could have gone 56. I guess I could have, but he would have, David, you would have, you were taking Conair, right? Ah, I wouldn't have. I don't think I would have gone 60. Make him sleep with it. I can't though.
Starting point is 00:55:35 I wouldn't have gone, oh yeah. So yeah, if it was just me and you, I probably would have taken it. All right, okay, okay, that makes me feel better. Yeah, it's amazing. It's like, it's like on my list, it's like the, I'm looking, cause like I said, I'm like, whatever about, but this is one where I'm like, yeah, no, I want that.
Starting point is 00:55:54 I mean, John Malkovich, hitting the Malkovich. Cyrus the virus. Cyrus the virus. Hard Malkovich. Hard Bishemi. Hard Bishems. Who Bushemi. Hard Bushems. Who's that terrifying guy that is the pilot? He's always, he's always. MC Guinea.
Starting point is 00:56:10 Okay, that's who that is. Yeah, that dude looks so scary. Who's the shitty cop with the thing that says ass kicker? Oh yeah, the guy that. Oh, homey. Yeah, he's homey too. He went crazy. All right, I gotta have one of these. In big budget, it's time for me, right?
Starting point is 00:56:25 Yeah. Yeah, in big budget, The Rock. For $1. That's the last big budget one to me. All the other ones are off the board. 30? All right. Yeah, I can't pick.
Starting point is 00:56:36 Lose one about doing their best. That's gonna have to go where, where you are, for you Harper? Harlem was the prom queen. What? That's going where for you, wildcard? I can put it in two different places. I can put it in two different places. I can put it in two different places.
Starting point is 00:56:45 You think it goes hinged? Yeah, he's hinged. He's hinged? Yeah. Oh, he's hinged. He's the most hinged. He's incredibly hinged in this movie. I just watched it not that long ago.
Starting point is 00:56:54 It is so great. Sean Connery also hinged in this movie. It's everyone else that's really lost their shit. It's Ed Harris who's unhinged. Ed Harris is unhinged. Yeah, true. Unless you see the world the way Ed Harris sees the world brother and then he's hinged and everybody else is fucking around.
Starting point is 00:57:07 That's how we got here. It feels a little bit like Thanos had something going here with him. Thanos had it right. Thanos had it right, brother. Listen, the government is a business. Thanos had it right, brother. I got that tattooed on my tummy in Old English. Thanos had it right. Thanos Killmonger and an heiress in the rock
Starting point is 00:57:28 The government he's trying to get money for his his Unit families right his units family. Yeah, right. Yeah, so and I you know, I know this is supposed to be a comedy podcast joking aside He's he's not wrong, right? He just shouldn't kill a bunch of innocent people. It's With sarin gas, right also the one of the cool you get good the coolest looking weapons ever those like Yeah, oh they're awesome and what was his name? He was like Stanley Good speed. Yeah good speed That's it. I saw that in theaters and that Carla was the prom queen. I'll never forget that. Yeah
Starting point is 00:58:12 You're the man now That's that's from James Bond I believe It's the same thing. It's the same thing. It's the same thing. It's the same thing. It's the same thing. That's from James Bond, I believe. Yes. This is indeed a babe, Ruckheimer32. Yeah. Don Simpson was involved, your boy. Oh, Don Simpson was involved.
Starting point is 00:58:36 He was involved. Come on, that's the peanut butter and jelly crew Simpson-Ruckheimer. Simpson-Rucki. Alright, alright, hold on a second. The 40-40 club. Honestly, it's worth it. It's honestly worth it. 41, 41. 42, it's coming home with daddy.
Starting point is 00:58:50 Oh, I don't think I can do more. No, you can't do that. You can't. Fuck. Would you have gone 43? Yes. Oh, okay, all right. Then I feel better about it.
Starting point is 00:58:58 Wait, wait, no. Let's get Ian down there. I wouldn't have even been 35, you idiot. Isaac gave it to me for 42. Yeah. Ooh. Under big budget. Oh, I wouldn't have been 35 you idiot. I just give it to me for 42 On a big budget, okay, and then I will just try to be funny in spots here and there because I won't have a lot of other And then I can fill in the rest of this with like great movies. Yeah, that's the thing.
Starting point is 00:59:27 He's got to wait. Do I have the most money? Oh, no, Sean. Quick recap. Harper, you have 45 and you have big budget and under 50. Sean, you have 53. You have big budget and under 50. David, you have 33 and you have big budget and unhinged.
Starting point is 00:59:40 And I have 18 and I have big budget and under 50. You see, we all got like a passion pick and a big budget pick. I mean, National Treasure is less of a passion. But. Not the passion. Yeah, well I was saying, it's like, those are both big budget to me,
Starting point is 00:59:55 National Treasure and The Rock, like they're both top tier. But I'm very passionate about eight millimeter myself. What can I say? You're gonna call me Ian The Rock Carmel for the rest of I will, if you call me, if you call me Big Scroll in public, Oh, you're big budget.
Starting point is 01:00:09 You're big budget. Why are you picking the worst name? I wanna be Big Scroll. There's no clue to that, that sounds awful. Scroll daddy? Sounds like you love the Torah, no offense. You call me, hey! Scroll a Torah?
Starting point is 01:00:21 Listen, a lot of people love the Torah, including Jews, non-Jews. I'm just saying, it doesn't sound like a, all right, whatever. Roll it or a lot of people love the Torah including I will be calling my rabbi big scroll from here. Yeah, of course. Yeah, I thought you were already doing I want to become my rabbi. That's the only way you're gonna get it out of me. That's how this relationship ends Like if that's where you're two relationship, like that's the final stage of your relationship. That's like a bath. I don't know if I can get away with this for hinged. Shalom. Well you could put it in unhinged if that's not the case.
Starting point is 01:00:58 Well I don't, here's the thing, I don't know. Bring it up, we need to talk about it. Yeah but I mean I got a plan here. So I gotta strategize. You're gonna bring it up to talk about it. Yeah, but I mean, I got a plan here. So I gotta strategize. Bring it up to big budget, baby. I'll let you know. I'll go for Hinged here. This is definitely Hinged.
Starting point is 01:01:12 I legitimately saw this movie at least five times in the theater. I love this movie. I understand that not everyone does, but this to me was like the true announcement of his comeback. This is Hinged, $1, my dog is unhinged, The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent,
Starting point is 01:01:31 which I think is a fantastic movie. It is so good. It's so good. He plays himself. Yeah. It is what you want if you love Nicholas Cage. It's exactly what you want. He acts great. Pedro Pascal's in it,
Starting point is 01:01:46 and he's fantastic in it. It's a very like, kind of fourth wall-ish movie, kind of poking fun at how these action movies typically go, and I think it's brilliantly written, brilliantly acted. The endings are like a little weak, but I fucking love this movie Paddington 2 is a major plot point in this movie. It is I appreciate that. Mm-hmm. This is a really good movie. I Seen it once I really enjoyed it. It was busting too many moves for me
Starting point is 01:02:24 Pretend this is like, should have won an Oscar or anything. Like this is, to me is just like, comfort soul food in like the most Nicholas Cage way. It's your weatherman. It was a fun time at the movies. Yeah. I feel bad because I never saw it.
Starting point is 01:02:39 I can't go to the theater. I was gonna say, I don't want you to get it for one. That's crazy. All right, six can't go. I was gonna say, I don't want you to get it for one. That's crazy. All right, $6. 10. 11, and I know where you live. Oh, God. All right, you could have it for 11.
Starting point is 01:02:56 Yeah, it's the school's number. I'd love for you to come over, everybody. Yeah, yeah, yeah, well, maybe different circumstance. Still haven't met Arthur yet. Now we're getting yet now we're getting a rough weekend oh Yeah We'll be out till 4 a.m. Just
Starting point is 01:03:14 It's down at he got a hangover yeah We're doing a little sleep regression period that we're in right now, but we'll be all right man those suck You will be all right. They just it suck. Ah, yes they do. You will be all right. They just, it sucks so bad. We're like, we just go to... Sean Jordan. I'm gonna go unhinged for a dollar. I'm gonna say leaving Las Vegas.
Starting point is 01:03:37 Yeah, the hinge is, the door's off. The door has been blown off. Now this is gonna get dark. It's what he won The Oscar. His Oscar for, for best actor. When he was named the greatest actor Uh, it was for this movie. My dad sat me down.
Starting point is 01:03:54 Didn't you see this in like a really cool way Sean? Do I remember that right? I can't believe you just said that. Sorry. No. My dad sat me down one day and he's like this is what you have in your body and like explained alcoholism to me and made me watch that movie with him.
Starting point is 01:04:09 What? And that's what, that's the first time I saw it. I was like, Jesus. So we all want to fit on this? I can't see you. How old were you? What? I was probably 13.
Starting point is 01:04:20 This is a rough movie for an adult to watch. This is a brutal movie. And he to watch. This is a brutal movie. And he's like, this is what could happen if you're not careful. He said this is what's in your body? Like he was explaining epigenetics to you. He leaned on that real hard. So bid on it if you want, but I, you know, a dollar. Jesus.
Starting point is 01:04:39 Ten dollars. Oh, man! Yo! The kibish! Eleven dollars. Oh, man! Yo! Ho, ho! The Kavish! Yo! $11. Sorry.
Starting point is 01:04:49 It's a great movie. It's a great movie. Yeah, my dad thought so. $12. Sorry you have this personal attachment to it, but... Yeah, by the way, he was smiling. He thought it was a good thing that I had this in my body. Oh, man.
Starting point is 01:04:59 Oh, my God. I almost can't let you have it. He kept going. He's like, lucky you, bud. Look, like, doesn't that look like fun? You're just straight arm and lift the bottles into the cart. And now you wanna pick it? That's rough, Sean. Are you sure you want that?
Starting point is 01:05:13 It's a good movie, all things, all things aside. It's an amazing- It is a good movie. Yeah. Who bit 13? That's me, baby. Okay. Oh no, I did it. Well, 14.
Starting point is 01:05:27 Oh. Oh. I don't think I can bid 15. 16. I don't think you can. You can't. I could. I actually could.
Starting point is 01:05:35 You could, buddy. Oh, can you? I think I could. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Harper just did, though. Oh, 20 bucks. I'm out. He is masterful in this movie. I have seen this once, which is the amount of times you should see this.
Starting point is 01:05:46 You know who's great in this movie? Elizabeth Shoe. Also fantastic in this movie. That's a brutal role too. Did she win an Oscar? I thought she would have been a shoe in. There he goes. I liked it.
Starting point is 01:05:56 Yeah. Isaac, you have anything shitty to say about it? Harper. Isaac, you wanna hear my feelings? He's like, I'm gonna go to the movies. I'm gonna go to the movies. I'm gonna go to the movies. I'm gonna go to the movies. I'm gonna go to the movies. I liked it. Isaac, do you have anything shady to say about it? Isaac, you want to hear my feelings? Your sleep deprived friend Ian?
Starting point is 01:06:12 He's just flesh and blood. I'm also sleep deprived. For different reasons, brother. For very different reasons. They both involved someone vomiting on you. Yeah, well, my friend's, it was my friend's birthday, she was not sober. One should not be.
Starting point is 01:06:29 No. Neither was Nicolas Cage in this movie that I'm gonna take down for $20. That scene where he's in the liquor store and lonely tear drops, I think it's Jackie Wilson, but it's a Huey Lewis cover of it. And it's that lonely, lonely tear drops, my pillow never dries.y Lewis cover of it and it's that lonely, lonely tear drops my pillow never
Starting point is 01:06:46 dries. It's one of those depressing songs that sounds like it's not depressing if you don't listen to the words. It's just such a good scene in the liquor store where he's so happy, but like killing himself, you know? So between that and 8mm, I'm gonna go see a therapist. I'm gonna go see a therapist. Thank God you have gone in 60 seconds. Isaac, by the way, he's certainly not hinged in that movie. I'm gonna have to have to move her on over. You don't want to put it on their Golden Globe nominees, are you sure? That's a smaller field. Yeah, you're right. I should.
Starting point is 01:07:20 I'm gonna have to pay an extra dollar for it, but yes, I'll do that. So 21, 21. 21. David. 21. Man, I got a weird day in mind. You got a weird day. That's a tough watch, man.
Starting point is 01:07:33 Like, you gotta watch him in order, too? You're going. I'm gonna take raising Arizona. Yeah. Sure, sure. Yeah. Unhinged? This was the introduction. Is, he's unhinged. Is he unhinged in the introduction. He's he's unhinged. Is he unhinged?
Starting point is 01:07:47 And the silence? Is he unhinged? Well, I don't know. He's got to. I guess the whole act is unhinged. He's I mean, he's just a dude. Wrong place. Wrong time.
Starting point is 01:07:58 He stole a kid. He did. Yeah. Okay. He saved a kid. He didn't steal the kid. He saved a kid. This is this steal the kid. He saved a kid. This is the mindset of someone who just had to watch eight millimeter and leaving Las Vegas back to back.
Starting point is 01:08:11 This is the machine saying this. I have a disease Zachary, okay. Now he saved the kid from the road warrior guy, right? He didn't steal the kid. Cause they stole the kid from that famous couple. Yeah, they're right. He kinda steals a kid. Yeah, he kinda steals a kid. All they stole the kid from that famous couple. Yeah, it kind of steals a kid. Yeah, it kind of steals a kid. All right. Yeah, I'll put it in. Wait. It doesn't help. Wait, should I already have unhinged? Wait, what's the word on me changing the weatherman to hinged?
Starting point is 01:08:40 Dollar? Dollar? Oh, to hinge? I could do that if I got this. I do think it's one of those You almost buy-halled it right there If we would have reacted you would have got it right in there He told us the line Isaac I think it's okay I've never seen the weatherman Yeah but can someone change something from hinged to unhinged?
Starting point is 01:09:00 If anything was Nick Cage Where is the diagram in this movie? That's the beauty of the Cage man. I'm putting David in unhinged. Can I do it before I say my opening bit? This is both a hinged and unhinged pillow. That's an unhinged pillow. There's no hinge.
Starting point is 01:09:18 The only hinge is on the sequence. What if I do that? For the sake of how much fun I'm having, I think it's fine. That's... I leave it up to Isaac. If you guys decide that... No, no, don't turn it back on us! You need to stand there, be the man in the arena. I don't know the movie. Let me just put... Isaac, let me just say this.
Starting point is 01:09:40 I think The Weatherman is one of maybe three movies that he has where you can say He is both hinged and unhinged like an equal amount of time in the movie. That's an expert. That's an expert. I defer All right. Okay Yeah, five bucks Just started up six dollars fucking idiot She started up six dollars. Bucket idiot. No, no, no, it has.
Starting point is 01:10:08 Oh, yeah. Ten dollars got you got these balloons in any funny kind of dollars. Eleven dollars. Or how's it go? He's like. He's like, you got these. What's he say? Thirteen dollars. You got these.
Starting point is 01:10:20 Oh, that's what he goes. You got these balloons in any kind of funny shapes. And the guy goes goes not unless you think circulars funny It's I slaughtered it but it's something like that, uh, he's a high high McDonough in this movie. Yeah, who is it Holly? Holly Holly Hunter. Oh, yeah Holly goodman going in hard on this. Yeah, when goodman comes out of the ground I remember when I was a kid being like Hunter moves man. Goodman going in hard on this movie too. Goodman going in fast. When Goodman comes out of the ground,
Starting point is 01:10:45 I remember when I was a kid being like, holy shit, this is insane. I thought it was like- Does Goodman count as a character actor? Cause to me, he's the greatest character actor. He's up there. No, I, he was a leading man in a TV show for like a decade. Yeah, but you can be a leading man
Starting point is 01:10:58 and still be a character actor. I think that's different. Especially on TV. No, you can't. No, I mean, it's debatable. Cause the alternative is like using King Ralph. Denny has been the lead in movies. Denny is not a character actor. Brian Denny?
Starting point is 01:11:10 I think Johnny Depp is a character actor. Denny is a character actor. Can I take it down for 13? No. 15. Now I'm upset. Does anyone get killed in this movie? Violently or is there like a disease or anything? Kidnapping is pretty dark. Kidnapping is pretty darn hard. I mean, kidnapping's pretty, pretty tough.
Starting point is 01:11:26 It's pretty gnarly, yeah. Yeah. I'll say 16 for it. No, he is a lovely kidnapper. He is, they're a lovely family. That's what I'm saying, they don't, yeah, all right, all right, you're right, you're right. Oh, I'm wrong, the road warrior's hired to get the kid back.
Starting point is 01:11:41 Is that what's up? Yeah, so I'm sorry, I was mixing the whole thing up. Little torsion, sorry about that. I kind of want this for 17. You should say it louder than 17. 18. Great film. It's I mean, it's a it's a really this and butterfly effect, dude. Two of my favorite movies. What the fuck is going on? Are you OK? I was kidding. I don't like the butterfly effect. I don't believe you. I love it.
Starting point is 01:12:12 It's from Hot Tub Time Machine. Rob Cordray. Somebody says butterfly effect and Rob Cordray goes, great fucking movie. I always think people are going to get that I'm doing that. And it's way layers to that. I'm worried you're referencing Hot Tub Time Machine. Now this has layers. That is a good movie. So what is it at?
Starting point is 01:12:30 18 to me? Yeah, I'm not going higher than that. Sean? No. No? All right, cool. Okay, where's it going? Unhinged? Unhinged.
Starting point is 01:12:41 Yeah, yeah. Now you can have it, I already said no. It's interesting the hinged, unhinged thing. He's making unhinged decisions, but he you can have it. I already said no, it's interesting the hinged unhinged thing He's making unhinged decisions, but he is hinged in the movie It's weird. Yeah Right Yeah, it's weird. You could flip those two movies that you haven't hinged and unhinged and they both work where they go I feel like like Harper said he he's good at that
Starting point is 01:13:03 He's the best flip-flopping. No know is it me. There's a turn. Yeah, it's me All right This is it. Now. It's getting down there. Oh, yeah. Yeah now it's getting tough You guys got your globes Golden Globes. I'm gonna put moon struck. I'm at a respect $3 I've never seen it. It's share, man. Share, dude. It's great.
Starting point is 01:13:30 I really like it. Picture you saying that every time turn back time. Tell you what else. Ronnie Commerary, which is Nicholas Cage's character's name, you could also slide him right over to unhinged. Yes, yes, you could. He's a baker with a wooden hand. Or is he a pizza maker? No, you could. He's a baker with a wooden hand.
Starting point is 01:13:47 Or is he a pizza maker? No, he's a pizza maker. Yeah, pizza maker. He's got a wooden hand. What year is that movie set in? 88? I mean, it came out in 87. 87, set in 87. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:13:58 It's just, it's a really, Nicolas Cage is weird as hell in this movie. And yet it is a very convincing and passionate love affair between him and Cher. He be like that. In this movie. He's the most- He's like very, sorry, go ahead. No, you do it.
Starting point is 01:14:17 He's a very like raw sexual being in this movie. You get it. He's like, here's your movie. That's what I was gonna say. I was gonna say the exact same thing. Raw sexual being in every movie. Okay, yeah. That's true. That's true. He's like, you're gonna say the exact same thing every movie. Okay. Yeah That's got some of the nicest most underrated arms you've ever seen he's got beautiful ones. Yeah I get this for three dollars. All right, I don't think that's
Starting point is 01:14:38 Pretty quick six Big talk over there I don't know what you're gonna do. That's what I'm worried about. Maybe I charted this out as bait. Yeah, but he has a lot less cheddar than you do, so he can't do that much. You're dead. There's something else I want to do, so. Yeah, you can have six. Six dollars. Six dollars for Moonstruck. And the hardest categories have all been filled. Yeah, I'm gonna do the hard ones.
Starting point is 01:14:51 I'm gonna do the hard ones. I'm gonna do the hard ones. I'm gonna do the hard ones. I'm gonna do the hard ones. I'm gonna do the hard ones. I'm gonna do the hard ones. I'm gonna do the hard ones. I'm gonna do the hard ones.
Starting point is 01:14:59 I'm gonna do the hard ones. I'm gonna do the hard ones. I'm gonna do the hard ones. I'm gonna do the hard ones. I'm gonna do the hard ones. I'm gonna do the hard ones. And the hardest categories have all been filled.
Starting point is 01:15:11 With grape. What? With grape. With grape mix. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Most expensive categories. Yeah. Interesting.
Starting point is 01:15:19 Under 50 with something to be happy with. Big budget, something I'm very happy with. You got hits. You got hits. Hits. Yeah. Although I would have been happy with literally any of, big budget, something I'm very happy with. You got hits, you got hits. Hits, yeah. Although I would have been happy with literally any of our big budget movies. I would have been like a pig in shit with any single one of them.
Starting point is 01:15:32 Okay, Harvey. You're talking to me? Yeah. Well, why don't you recap on Monday? Yeah, yeah, good call. Zach has $34 left. He has three movies. Sean has $32 left.
Starting point is 01:15:43 He has three movies. David has $14 left. He has three movies. I have 12. I have three movies Sean has $32 left. He has three movies David has $14 left. He has three movies I have 12. I have three movies. This is about movies different the most even this has ever gone roughly and luckily There's about 50 great movies still on the board. So Yeah Alright, I got to do this for Golden Globes Adaptation one dollar so good five dollars eight dollars to do this for Golden Globes adaptation. One dollar. So good.
Starting point is 01:16:05 I have dollars. $8 15. Okay. You go hinge. Dr. Sean, you're not jumping in, right? This is my it's, can I do it in Hinged? Yeah. Well...
Starting point is 01:16:26 Which character? This is actually one of those... Yeah, because he plays twins. I mean, he turns into a flower pot and falls over and breaks. I haven't seen the movie. I've only seen the poster. You haven't seen it? No, I've seen it.
Starting point is 01:16:39 I've seen it a bunch. So this is another one. He was absolutely robbed of an Oscar. Yeah, I think. That's've seen this a bunch. So this is another one. He was absolutely robbed of an Oscar. Yeah, I think. Absolutely robbed. Not of a nominee, of an Oscar.
Starting point is 01:16:51 He got his Oscar. This is, he should have 10. This is his second or third best acting performance ever. How many Oscars do you really think he should have? I think he should have a minimum of three. Okay, I'll give you that. For what? This? I would say this? No, no. Well, alright, four. This, Face Off, Leaving Las Vegas, and another movie that has yet to be nominated. For the auction. Holy shit.
Starting point is 01:17:20 Ghost Rider? Oh fuck, I think I know who he is. Ghost Rider 2. I think I'm gonna go in there and 2. I think I'm going to get Ghost Rider 1. One is making cookies. Oh, that's awesome. That smell waps in and that is... I'm sorry, he just knocked me off my old shit. I gotta go, work call. I gotta work email.
Starting point is 01:17:31 Guys, can we take a bathroom break? Sorry, 911 called me, I gotta go. I'm going to go back wearing a sweater with a couple of teeth. I'm going to go back wearing a sweater with a couple of teeth. I'm going to go back wearing a sweater with a couple of teeth. I'm going to go back wearing a sweater with a couple of teeth. I'm going to go back wearing a sweater with a couple of teeth. I'm going to go back wearing a sweater with a couple of teeth.
Starting point is 01:17:39 I'm going to go back wearing a sweater with a couple of teeth. I'm going to go back wearing a sweater with a couple of teeth. I'm going to go back wearing a sweater with a1 called me. I gotta go. Why is he still there? I was like, why is he still there? Why is he wearing a sweater with a couple of teeth?
Starting point is 01:17:46 I guess you get it for 15. Sean, have you seen it? Okay. You've seen it. Yeah, I've seen it. Yeah. Spike Jonze. It's fantastic.
Starting point is 01:17:58 Who? Spike Jonze. Who have we met? Spike Jonze? What? Me and Sean met Spike Jonze one time. Yeah, outside of a lesion, right? Yeah. Oh yeah.
Starting point is 01:18:09 That's right, he came to that show. Yeah, you were there, right? Yeah, yeah. Yeah. It was the night before my wedding. You were on it, you had to go. Yeah, that's right. You had to go like an hour after you were supposed to. Dog. Oh, God damn, that was funny.
Starting point is 01:18:20 That was irritating. People were all keyed up on blow, did a sketch that went about 45 minutes longer than it was supposed to. Didn't get 45 minutes worth of laughs, that's for God damn sure. No, it didn't. Jesus.
Starting point is 01:18:32 There. This shit sucked. But anyways. Sean, I think it is your turn. Right? Hinged, yeah, hinged. I'm gonna go Family Man for a dollar. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 01:18:43 That's a great movie. We just talked about it, and I know those two don't love it. You probably do, but. I love it, absolutely. Okay. It's, it's. What's wrong with it?
Starting point is 01:18:52 Nothing, I love it. I don't think it's bad. I think it's okay. What's wrong with it? It's a great, a great holiday watch. I don't like anyone's tone except for Sean. There's nothing wrong with it. Nothing wrong with it.
Starting point is 01:19:02 Nothing I'd write for it for me. Yeah, it's all right. It's a great holiday movie. It wrong with it. Nothing I'd write for it for me. It's a great holiday movie. It's slept on. He's perfect. He, yeah, it's just really good. Perfect movie sometimes. Little Jeremy Piven, popular standup comedian.
Starting point is 01:19:14 Jeremy Piven is in there. He is a popular standup comedian, yeah. That's how we know him. Don Cheadle's in this, Tapeoni. This is. Don Cheadle's in a lot Talioni, like this is. Don Cheadle's in a lot of stuff. Don't do this. Don Cheadle's in a lot of stuff.
Starting point is 01:19:30 All right, I'll keep it pushing, I got it for a dollar. No reason to dig any further. Yeah. What are you putting us? Hinged. Hinged. Hinged. That's awesome.
Starting point is 01:19:40 Can't believe it worked, all right, cool. David. I would have gone to the mats for that. I would have gone to the 20 bucks. David, David, David. Would you really for Veilerman? I thought I was gonna have to. That rules.
Starting point is 01:19:51 I'm gonna go wild card and I'm gonna go Lord of War. Oh. Okay, okay. So I was gonna, so he's unhinged obviously in this, right? Yeah, for sure. Probably gonna have to. Damn, I didn't know people liked this movie.
Starting point is 01:20:08 I thought it was under the radar. I love Lord of War. Yeah, Lord of War is fun. It is so fucking good. Fucking fantastic, dude. Him and Jared. You didn't know people liked this movie? Come on, man.
Starting point is 01:20:17 That arms dealer shit, man. That stuff, it's like, it's interesting. That's gone away as like a movie character. Nicholas Cage plays a character named Yuri Orlov in this? So. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:20:33 I Orlov it. Let me. Nah. Isaac cut that up. Isaac double it. Look at that. Rebirth plays. Have you ever, have you ever cut out
Starting point is 01:20:43 any of those shitty lines we say to cut out? It'd be so funny if you did. Or double them. I never do. You could double that one. Can I tell you why? I don't ever want them cut.
Starting point is 01:20:54 Can I tell you why The Family Man's not a good movie? I'd rather you didn't. We're not talking about it anymore. Because Nicholas Cage plays a character named Jack Campbell in it. It's the worst of his names. Yeah, for sure. It is a bad name.
Starting point is 01:21:03 It was gonna be Yuri Campbell, but it didn't fit. It was gonna be. It didn't fit with his name. Yeah, for sure. It is a bad name. It was going to be Yuri Campbell, but it didn't fit. It didn't fit with his storyline. It was going to be Yuri Papagiorgio, but the director made a change. Are you a different idea? Spaghetti Fettuccine. Spaghetti. $2. I would go.
Starting point is 01:21:22 Oh shit. Five bucks in unhinged. Six bucks. Seven dollars. Eight dollars. You can have it. All right. Wild card.
Starting point is 01:21:37 Man, I'm so happy with my list. Yeah, I did. I'm really happy with my list. Yeah, I'm depressed by Sean's. The later rounds go a lot of people are Sean's list does upset me. Just it starts out with a bang in that it's a weird. It's a weird day.
Starting point is 01:21:56 It's a weird day. You know what it is? It's great. It's a breakup. First one. Yeah. I just need to get my boys back together. She's never coming back. And then the world is terrible. And then, no, I'll need to get my boys back together No, I'll just be great Go through a breakup in a day that would be it
Starting point is 01:22:18 That's perfect All right, yeah, I feel good about that. All right. That's a good pick. That's a good value too. All right, I gotta play this right. $10. No, that's a good one. That would be, that's a fun move. No matter what you pick, 12 bucks. Unhinged.
Starting point is 01:22:38 Mandy. A dollar. Oh! This is the greatest freak out he's ever had in areas. I don't even know what this is. No one has ever been less hinged than Nicolas Cage and Mandy. You only need the bathroom scene. Like the whole movie itself is just whatever.
Starting point is 01:22:51 It's like an art house like, you know. Yeah. It's super slow and it's really not that compelling. But he has a scene where he freaks out in the bathroom that is legendary. It makes the entire movie, but it's not a, it's a good movie, but it's not like a great watch. Yeah, it is good movie.
Starting point is 01:23:10 Yeah. It's not like you wanna rewatch Mandy every year. You just wanna rewatch like a couple of scenes. It's not like eight millimeter where you just wanna start it over immediately. Well, you want it playing in your house all the time, like when they come to your cribs. Yeah, this was like part of his reemergence into like making good shit.
Starting point is 01:23:26 This was a huge, huge part of it. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. I didn't know anything about this. Elijah Wood. Post-IRS incidents. You're never post-IRS with Nick Cage, but it is. He just started. He got a little bit into not the black, but he just isn't so red at this point. But like critical reputation wise, like at large,
Starting point is 01:23:46 people were like, oh shit, he's making these kind of movies, interesting. I can't have it glossed over the way it was when Ian said eight millimeter playing on your cribs. Every TV in their house, like Scarface. It's just very funny to think about. Thank you. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:24:02 Good joke, bud. It was funny. Thank you. It was okay. It wasn't very funny, it was funny. Isaac you. Good joke, buddy. It was funny. Isaac. Thank you. It was okay. It wasn't very funny, it was funny. Isaac's 15 years old, he doesn't know what Cribs is. But he's out til 4 a.m. every night. It's back.
Starting point is 01:24:12 It was so hard to get for a while and now you can just get all the Cribs anytime you want. Wait, what are the Cribs? What? Cribs episodes of Cribs on MTV. Oh, I never really watched MTV. Don't do that. Damn it, I know.
Starting point is 01:24:26 We're just young, by the time we were teenagers, it was just shows. None of us watched it. Somebody told me they used to play videos? Yeah, yeah, I used to watch Headbanger Ball all the time. Like YouTube videos? I don't know, man. I'm 76.
Starting point is 01:24:38 I'm in my late 30s, so I was right in the range for that. You know what, I'm in my late 30s. No, no, not for a dollar. Both of us are. Not for a dollar, not for a dollar. You can have Mandy for a dollar. I think I do that. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no that No, no Where you putting it You put it on hinged what's the rotten tomatoes on Mandy then you have walked into my trap That's fine, It's a great movie You have walked into my trap That guy don't you're with welcome to my parlor
Starting point is 01:25:14 Said the spider to the fly I'll eat you when I'm hungry until then be fine. You don't have a movie written and directed by Panos Cosmos No, and I never will it is set in the Pacific Northwest. It is. Sean? Oh no, Harper. No, Harper. All right, I got to do it. Uh, Sean, don't be a dick. I'm going to if you say what.
Starting point is 01:25:35 If I say what I think you're going to say. Wait, Harper, before you do it, we're taking a quick break. Get the Angel Rees special at McDonald's now. Let's break it down. My favorite barbecue sauce, American cheese, crispy bacon, pickles, onions, and a sesame seed bun, of course. And don't forget the fries and a drink. Sound good?
Starting point is 01:25:54 I'm participating in restaurants for a limited time. And we're back. Harper's about to put something up. Or about to put something up. He has warned Sean not to do it. Let's see what happens. Wait, do a recap because we're in a new round. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:26:06 We're coming back from the break. We also never did our plugs. Oh, let's do them right now. Good call, Isaac. Welcome back to All Fantasy Everything. Sean Jordan is here. Sean is Jordan on Twitter. Sean, or on Blue Sky.

I've had people, so the fast passes are up. I've had quite a few who hit me up. Thank you for buying the passes already.

Starting point is 01:32:12 So I'm like, why would I bring it up? What's the point? I didn't know until today when I started looking at the calendar. Thanks a lot, Andrew. No, but we're gonna be leaving it all on the field. Yeah, I'm not leaving until Monday night. And I'm gonna be taking a Xanax on that flight back.

Yeah, well, I'll just save you I'll save you a little heartache here Ten or eleven dollars Okay, well yeah. I can still outbid both of you on anything.
Starting point is 01:35:28 This is going great. That's great. Yeah, Kick Ass Unhinged. It's so good, we don't need to talk about it too much. It's such a fun movie. A real life superhero movie. And I didn't know most of the people in the movie and they all, like they're all doing pretty well now.
Starting point is 01:35:45 Yeah, so it's fun to see. And he's just such a, he's so great, fun dad character, unhinged because he's a real life superhero. He's actually fairly hinged in his like, the way he carries himself. But to be a real life superhero, you can't. You're just that, makes you feel like- This is one of those, he he toes the line really well
Starting point is 01:36:06 Yeah, cuz he's reasonable and he's smart and he's you know, he's all the stuff. But then he's also hugging a vigilante Nicholas Cage's character in pig is named Rob Feld so not not Not great, but you know still a great movie So not great, but you know, still a great movie. He's a, well, cause he's got a truffle pig. Yeah, he's got a truffle pig.
Starting point is 01:36:30 That's what's important. Yeah. In this movie, and he's Damon McCready, aka Big Daddy. Big Daddy, yeah. Big Daddy. And Hit Girl. David, time for you to introduce the movie for the better.
Starting point is 01:36:46 Can't hear you. I said said I don't have any money Yeah, but you will if you pick something I want then ah What's the one other Golden Globes? Globes oh movies available the dream scenario. Oh Yeah, dream scenario for a dollar and honeymoon in Vegas. Honeymoon in Vegas. Dream scenario for a dollar.
Starting point is 01:37:10 I like that movie. That's good. I didn't see it. It's a really never even heard of it. Oh, you didn't see it. Well, there's a bunch of different everybody's dreaming about him. Yeah. It's a really interesting concept. Yeah, it's fun. Yeah. And he's like such a. I never seen him play that. Yeah, he's so like, God, I hate this.
Starting point is 01:37:29 I hate this word now, but like he's so like. Demure, like in a way, but then becomes. Like he becomes what you would expect anyone who just had a regular life, who becomes famous out of nowhere. Yeah, you guys, you guys should watch it. It's a great it's a great performance. And it's a really funny movie. Yeah. All right two dollars. I got Sean Can't say why I'm laughing I just made myself laugh so hard demure because he said demure Is that it? No, it was no I can't say I was joking about the bed two dollars
Starting point is 01:38:07 Yeah, oh yeah, I Knew that I was gonna be able cuz Golden Globes was only five and they're all decent. So I was like whatever happens I'll take that for a dollar. Yeah, you know Yeah, it was like I planned that that was not gonna I just to me I had to get adaptation. That's that's like just one. It's so good. Yeah About left and right in my heart and my range as hell I'm going to take a movie where Nicholas Cage plays a character named sailor Ripley in
Starting point is 01:38:42 May he rest in peace David Lynch's movie Wild at Heart. Mm-hmm. Oh, interesting. I didn't even know he was in the movie. $10. You don't have any money, brother! Oh, shit, no. Oh, man.
Starting point is 01:38:52 Or in his face. Ian got... He... He... He brickled up so quick. You can't! You can't! You cannot! This movie is...
Starting point is 01:39:04 Cage is nuts in it. It's him and Laura Dern. It's a road movie. It's fun. It's like cartoonish at times where you're like, this has more to do with Bugs Bunny than it does with like other movies with humans in them. Willem Dafoe's in it, Crispin Glover.
Starting point is 01:39:21 Bill Dafoe, dude. Oh, who's that? Tiny Guy, did you know that? Billy, build a foe? Build a foe? Yeah. Somebody asked that TikTok video, somebody interviewed him on the street the other day
Starting point is 01:39:32 not knowing who he was. How do you not know who he is? Somebody just came up and they're like, excuse me, I just ran him interviews. What do you do for a living? And he was like, I'm an actor. Then the kid's like, oh great. And then I really, I don't think it was fake.
Starting point is 01:39:44 I really think this kid didn't know who he was. It was awesome. Wild. Just great. Like just great performances. Isabella Rossellini, Harry Dudes, Spanton. Yeah. I'll take it for a dollar. Okay. Perfect. Where's it going? I don't think I should be able to be unhinged. I know. It's, it'd be nice to figure out something for the person who's out of money like if they get That was one of the most sincere things Sean's ever said and he's a very sincere person but this feels like You have $20 left it's time for you to introduce a move for the bidding wild card bringing out the dead 20 20 bucks All right. All right. I love it him and size more. What is they go bringing out the bringing out the dead?
Starting point is 01:40:35 It's crazy joint. It's so good. They're paramedics in New York John Goodman's in this one too, right the good man's in it. Yeah, Mark. Anthony is in it Which is good. It's just good. It's just a really good, crazy movie. Tom Sizemore can go nuts. And it's so fun watching him and Tom Sizemore, two dudes who can just go nuts. Doesn't Ving Rhames have hair in this movie?
Starting point is 01:40:57 Or am I misremembering that? Oh, God. Ew. Well, now I don't want it. I think he does. I think he has hair in this movie. It's very upsetting. He't want it. I think he does. I think he has hair in this movie. It's very upsetting. He does have hair.
Starting point is 01:41:07 Yes, he does. Yeah, it's very upsetting. It's like, uh, uh, it's like kind of straight. It's like, it's kind of straight. It's like kind of permed. It's like short, but not, but long at the same time. It's like a short perm. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:41:21 Is it like, like big worms hair? No, no, no, no. It's, um, it's more like- Why were you so disappointed in me? Yeah. Is it like big worms hair? No, no, no, no. It's more like Lando Calrissian. Why were you so disappointed in me? Yeah. A little bit. It's a little bit Lando Calrissian. Anyway, bringing out the dead, $20.
Starting point is 01:41:36 I gotta see his hair. It's just so, yeah, it's just such a good movie. If you haven't seen bringing out the dead, do yourself a solid. It's, man, it's dark to go with my theme, I guess. Oh, yeah. I didn't realize. Yeah, because what is it? Like, he like, it's like, like all these people he tried to save are like haunting him or something. Like, he couldn't save them or... Yeah.
Starting point is 01:41:57 He's like a, he's like a, he's a paramedic? Yeah, he's a paramedic. Yeah. Hair? Look at that. No, well... Well... I don't think that's it. It looks a little paramedic. Yeah. Is that Big Rame's hair? You know that? No, well. Well. I don't think that's it.
Starting point is 01:42:07 It looks a little different. Anyways. Yeah. Yes, for, anyway, yes. Bringing out the dead, sorry, now I'm going down a Big Rame's hair wormhole. David, you have under 50% of rotten tomatoes left. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:42:18 Yeah. I do. And also, there was a movie that it was not Nicolas Cage I Do It was not Nicolas Cage and I thought that it was Anybody have any other banter Tolerable movies under 50% that Iem tolerable anyway intolerable Can I say him or I should I'll I just think that I am going to... I mean, I got some options for you if you want.
Starting point is 01:43:13 Now that National Treasure mount is looking pretty good, huh? Well, National Treasure 2 is under 50%. I saw that. Yeah, that was wind talkers, dude. Wind talkers? I actually am gonna pick wind talkers. Yeah, we're talking sorcerers apprentice wind talkers wicker I really did he is in it. Yeah
Starting point is 01:43:37 Just looked it up and it said it's a British movie wicker. No, it's a remake. It's a remake. Oh, okay Yeah, wicker man is what I want. Yeah, he's the Wicker Man. Okay, yeah. Sorry, did I just ruin Ian's? Wicker Man. No, thank God. I just ruined it. No, I was thinking about taking him in Wild, in Unhinged.
Starting point is 01:43:53 Just because. Why it says $1? It is one of the worst movies I've ever seen in my entire life. The Wicker Man? The Wicker Man with Nicolas Cage? But the ending. Having said that, him, the amount of unhinged he is in this movie is right up there with his most unhinged
Starting point is 01:44:09 he's ever been in his entire life. Yeah. This story been nuts. It's a terrible movie. The plot doesn't make any sense. So much fun. So much fun. He punches somebody in a bear outfit.
Starting point is 01:44:21 He punches a woman, he's wearing a bear outfit. The woman. He just runs up and clocks her. Just clocks this old woman. Ugh! And then they trap her. You bitches! They sacrifice, yeah, it's the one with like,
Starting point is 01:44:30 not the bees, they pour like, a beekeeper's mask on him and then put all these bees inside and trap him, they burn him and effigy and everything, and it's just like, as a sacrifice. But the last like, three minutes of the movie, he is beyond unhinged. Yeah. And it's so fun. And that makes me unhinged. And it's so fun.
Starting point is 01:44:45 And that makes me love this movie because it's not good. It's like an exceptionally bad movie. Not the Bees. You also could have gone left behind. Not the Bees. I never saw it behind. Not the Bees. It's a Rapture movie that I believe for Cameron.
Starting point is 01:45:01 No, I know what it is. Yeah. I just never saw it. It's 0% from the critics and two percent from the audience. It is one of the least liked movies ever. Oh, man. How do they ever get to? Fantastic.
Starting point is 01:45:15 So, David, you're taking it down. Yeah, Wicker Man. Yeah. I thought it was like originally my under 50 percent and then I just looked it up and I was like, wait, British? In Wild Card for a dollar. Yeah. It was like originally my under 50% and then I just looked it up and I was like wait British in For a dollar yeah, I'm taking bad lieutenant port of call, New Orleans It's a fun one. I could have been a high priced unhinged movie. It is oh my god What on rotten tomatoes? Let me go ahead and read the critical consensus befitting its unorthodox origins
Starting point is 01:45:43 This bad lieutenant benefits from Verna Herzog's typically fearless direction and a delightfully unhinged Nicholas Cage in the title role. He is nuts in this movie. Is this your favorite exhibit movie? Well, all right, hold on. That's a different draft.
Starting point is 01:46:00 Yeah, that's a very different action draft. Let's not give anything away. Let's not give anything away. Let's not give anything away. What am I thinking? What's exhibit? What am I thinking of? No, he's in Derailed with Jennifer Aniston. Exhibit's in that.
Starting point is 01:46:13 And RZA, that's a good exhibit movie. Who's the original bad lieutenant, Harvey Keitel? Harvey Keitel. Harvey Keitel, all right. All right, now for Hinged. Everybody knows that I knew that. Adibab. Adibab.
Starting point is 01:46:29 There's a lot of options for Hinged. There is a lot of options. Hinged was a bigger category than I thought. Me too. It's just so fun to say Hinged. Gotta giggle. Every time I thought it, I giggled to myself. Also, just as an ally,
Starting point is 01:46:42 you could nominate anything here and I'm gonna agree. Thank you. Thank you I want to part of me wants to say Peggy Sue got married. Oh Movie yeah, it's a really good movie. He's very hingey. He only in her fantasy He becomes even more hinged and for reason, I'm gonna take it. I'm gonna take it for a dollar. Peggy Sue got married. The hinging. I was thinking it could happen to you for Hinged.
Starting point is 01:47:12 That's what I was thinking too. Only movie on Bum didn't get on the board was It Could Happen to You. Oh man. I don't know if I know that movie. Him and Rosie Perez. He and, what's her name? Rosie Perez. No.
Starting point is 01:47:26 No, no, no, Jesus. Bridget Fonda. Yeah. Bridget Fonda, yeah. You know how people make her and Rosie Perez up all the time. Well, Rosie Perez is his wife in the movie. Yeah, yeah. But Bridget Fonda is a waitress.
Starting point is 01:47:36 He doesn't have money for a tip, but he says, hey, if this lotto ticket wins, I'll split it with you, and then it wins. Yeah. And so now it's like, you know. He's just a guy from Queens. Just a cop.'s like, you know. It's fun. He's just a guy from Queens. Just a cop.
Starting point is 01:47:46 Just a cop from Queens. Just a cop from Queens. The other thing I was considering was City of Angels. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. That should be, that's more of a My List type situation. I go out the world to see me. How do you say?
Starting point is 01:48:00 Guardian Tests. Yeah. Fantastic. To recap, I have the most money left leftover. I think for the very first time I have $9 and I got under, uh, David, you have $4 left. Sean and Zach, you both have zero in big budget. I got the rock for 42. David got con air for 55. Sean got gone in 60 seconds for 30 and Zach got faceair for 55. Sean got Gone in 60 Seconds for 30, and Zach got Face Off for 45. Under Golden Globes nominee, I got Moonstruck for six. David got Dream Scenario for one.
Starting point is 01:48:33 Sean got Leaving Las Vegas for 21, and Zach got Adaptation for 15. In under 50% on Rotten Tomatoes, I got National Treasure for $40. David got Wicker Man for $1. Sean got 8mm for $40. David got Wicker Man for $1. Sean got 8mm for $17. And Harper got Snake Eyes for $10. Under Hinged, I got Peggy Sue got married for $1.
Starting point is 01:48:55 David got the Weatherman for $13. Sean got Family Man for $1. And Zach got the unbearable weight of being for $11. In Unhinged, I got Wild at Heart for $1.bearable weight of being for $11. In Unhinged, I got Wild at Heart for a dollar. David got Raising Arizona for $18. I'll do that Don't don't try to you've never seen Peggy Sue got married. I might have seen it For one more up that I considered for hinge
Starting point is 01:50:16 Which I think people think it's unhinged because it's a horror movie, but Willy's Wonderland Which the five night at Freddy's basically just ripped off, but Willy's Wonderland. I Wonderland, which Five Night at Freddy's basically just ripped off, but Willy's Wonderland, Nick Cage doesn't say a word in it. He's the leading actor. He doesn't say a single word in the movie and it is such an incredible performance. You're saying that's hinged? He's in that new Long Legs movie? Is that right?
Starting point is 01:50:38 I haven't seen that yet. That is a fucked up movie. Renfield was fun. Renfield's super fun, yeah. Everything I wrote down got picked. Yeah, same. Everything I wrote down got picked. Yeah, there was, you know, nobody needed to bring up
