Hey, hey, there's a little CCR to get your weekend started out right.
Welcome to the bean town podcast presented by the one and the only
Quinn Davis furnace.
We are coming to you live from bean town, USA.
It's wherever you want it to be folks.
That is the joy and the wondrous apparition,
as our good old friend John Hogan would say,
of this beautiful podcast.
How are you?
What's happening?
What has been going on in your life?
Let's do a little listener.
That's a belch.
That's number two.
Is advised discretion tag.
Let's see, first and foremost,
listener discretion is advised
because we might be using some
vial language here and there
throughout the podcast.
So look out for that
because you never know when it's gonna come.
And number two, the podcast is just objectively terrible. So you're
going to want to look out for that as well. What has been going on? We have got the match madness
happening right now. Let's see. We are watching number one, Villanova against number five West Virginia, the mountain years versus the V
Cats, the V cards, not sure what a Nova's nickname is, but they're in a tight
game. Let's see, just finished up. We had who was that? Who was that that just
kicked ass and took names? It was Kansas. First, Clemson, uh, Clemson, the latest ACC team to fall. I think Duke is the only one
left. If I'm looking at it correctly, you and C got knocked out early. UVA was a steaming
pile of dog crap. Oh, I lost a lot of money on that.
That was not good.
It was not good at all.
Here's the good news.
I have a tall glass of tequila sunrise in my hand,
and we are sipping it.
If you remember last week from our podcast,
we were, it was the birthday podcast. I did it the night before my birthday.
Working my way through a bottle of wine and one of those frozen peppered farm cakes
that you get in the freezer aisle at your local grocer.
So we don't have the cake, we cut the cake this week and now we just got the alcohol. So going on a little bit of a diet, he says
as he sips from his 25 ounce glass of tequila sonyze.
But no, we're coming back.
The biggest thing, so obviously I could cut out the alcohol
entirely.
Did that in the month of January?
It went well.
I'm not really looking to do that though,
because I do like my drinks.
So what we're trying to do is avoid beer as much as possible.
It was pretty standard practice last month and a half
for me to just go to the grocery store
and a weekend, get a six pack and work my way through that
over the next seven days and kind of keep that cycle going.
We're trying to break that. I still have some whiskey and some tequila that I've had since December
that I'm working my way through. But I think the big thing was last Saturday,
catch you up all on my schedule. schedule was in Chicago
greatest city on earth for St. Patrick's Day,
which is a big thing.
I don't know if any other city does it better than Chicago.
I've never been to Boston for St. Patrick's Day.
Imagine that would be fun.
I imagine Philly would be fun.
Of course, New York, I'm sure is a good time,
but man, Chicago's just got something about it.
And I say that because I went to school there because I went to grad school there because
I spent four or five years of my life there like I get it.
I'm biased, but man, it's a lot of fun.
You can go crazy without going into the tourist trap.
Everyone's like, oh, how was the river?
Was it green?
And like, FU, I went nowhere near the river.
I don't want any part of that.
It is just tourist Paloza.
And anyone who knows me knows that I
watched the fugitive once a year on cue a week before my birthday
to see what the parade is going to look like that year.
And if it looks crowded, I say, Kimball,
I want no part of it.
Thank you very much.
I don't care, you know, that's the end of that.
So that was Chicago, it was good.
I started drinking at about 10 a.m.
I'm proud of myself.
I didn't, I had one period of the day
where I was drinking straight liquor and other than that,
it was all beer.
I started off in the morning eating breakfast, drinking beer went to a bar in the North
side, Lincoln Park had some more beers, went to a house party, had some more beers.
Then I went back to a bar and that's when it got not crazy because it felt until later
but I had picked up along the way a fifth of Jim Beam, Jack Daniels, Evan,
William, something like that.
And I just had that straight at the bar.
It wasn't mixed with anything.
And this was at like four o'clock in the afternoon.
So I had that, I was like, hey, getting a little fruity here.
So I went back to my friends' apartment, got some loose, Lume El Nade's, greatest pizza on earth. Thank you very much.
Had that, took a power nap for like four hours, woke up,
texted my ex, went to a bar. It was all a good time. We were having laughs.
So my ex was not there. She did not agree to come out with me. So
we had fun regardless, eerie regardless,
as we used to say, that used to be a word,
but eerie regardless of all that, let's move on.
Anyways, that was my weekend, it was a lot of fun.
We've been back in Baltimore this week, and it's been good.
I want to give a shout out to a new subscriber, Zach T.
From Washington, DC, has started listening to the podcast.
And I got to tell you, Zach, we're
real happy to have you on board.
If this is, you know, you're still getting use of the podcast.
What you heard last week is pretty much what you're
going to get.
Occasionally, we've got some guests happening.
And we've got a big guest announcement coming
up in a few minutes here that I absolutely want to lead with.
But before I lead with that, let me lead with something else.
Thank you, Zach.
Thanks for listening.
If you have any questions, comments, concerns, if you just want to really let me have it,
you can send us an email to beantownpodcast, at Yahoo.com, that's beantown,
B-E-A-N-T-O-W-N podcast, at Yahoo.com. We'd love to feel those. You can also tweet at us.
We are at beantowncast, so not beantown podcast, it's just beantowncast, you know, trying
to shorten it up. Shorter attention spans is a big thing for a generation,
that's a tough word to say.
Whatever we're on right now, the W I think.
So, you know, bean town podcasts, that's a lot to read for kids.
So we're just going bean towncast.
Again, that's Twitter, bean towncast.
You can find us on Facebook, please like us.
You can follow us on SoundCloud, subscribe to us on there.
And of course our big thing, the whole reason we did the Pledge Drive,
Telephone Fundraiser last month was to get on iTunes. We are successfully on iTunes. We are really
pleased to be there.
You can follow us, subscribe, you can download on the go there as well. But again, thank you Zach T
for listening. We're glad to have you a lot of
different ways to get in touch with the bean town podcast. You
know where to find us. That was our shout out portion. Okay,
before I start digging into some of the March madness here,
let me make my, my big announcement. So if you follow us on Snapchat,
you saw this afternoon, later this afternoon, we posted that we were going to be having
a big announcement coming up on the podcast. So I alluded to this last week that I was
trying to get a pretty high profile guest on, but I wasn't sure. Basically, we hadn't finalized it yet,
and I didn't wanna obviously make any announcements
before the deal was done per se.
But I am happy to announce that this afternoon,
we received an email from our guest
who's gonna be coming on in probably two or three weeks. And we're very excited
to announce that my dear grandmother Sally, Sally furnace is coming on the podcast coming up here.
We're going to be talking about anything and everything. The theme is going to be stamping. But
hey, you don't know where this podcast is gonna go if grandma sell
Wants to talk about March madness boom. We're gonna talk that if grandma sell
Wants to talk about her favorite liquor boom. We're going to talk that if grandma sell
Wants to talk politics. I'm down for it. I voted for Obama
We might clash.
You know, we might just clash.
But that's what you love about family.
You can always talk politics.
You can always talk religion.
Always talk money.
That's what family's for.
It's like that Stevie Wonder song.
Keep shining, keep smiling, no, you can't always count on me
for sure, that's what families fall.
Well, that's all that.
The original, let's see, Stevie Wonder,
Elton John, Gladys Knight, and, oh, God damn it.
Who else is on that record?
Okay, we gotta Google this.
It's another African-American Dion Warwick.
It is, I hope I have a standing name right,
she is on there as well.
That's a powerhouse song.
If you're young, younger than a lot of us here,
and you don't know what I'm referencing,
go find it.
That's what friends are for on the YouTube.
It'll be a lot of fun.
Oh, here I want to make a mention of this.
I found out the other day, you know that you can message people
directly on Instagram.
It's crazy.
It's like, at this point, what's the difference between Instagram and Snapchat
because you can message people directly on both of them.
They both have stories, which I just found out about.
I made an Insta Chat story the other day.
We did a little poll action, which I didn't know you could do.
That was pretty cool. It just is Instagram taking over Snapchat. Are they
going to kind of do a conglomeration type of thing to become InstaChat? Because that's
what I've been calling Instagram because I don't see really the difference between
these two at this point. And so, so yeah, we're just going to see how that goes. But I don't
know. I've never been too big on that goes, but I don't know.
I've never been too big on the Instagram, but now that they've got the
Insta chat feature as part of it, I might, I might consider using it a little
bit more. Let's check in on this March, man, this game. So as promise, we got
Nova and West Virginia in the sweet 16 winner advances to play the winner of
Tac verse Purdue
Let's see it is 63 60
Nova with nine minutes left in the second half. I think just about everybody in the nation has
Villanova winning this game including myself in my own bracket
We'll see. I, man, I love Villanova in that they're a Catholic school.
They don't do anything wrong.
They just play really well.
They recruit really well.
I've been up to that campus multiple times
in the past year and it's really beautiful.
I got no reason to hate these guys.
Other than that, they were in it
two years ago and that that's that's my only reasoning. So
I won't be upset if Nova wins this game. What I don't want to see is a fricking
Kansas Nova Final Four game, although I feel like we're gonna get it. What I'd rather have Kansas or Duke, honestly, I don't know.
I'm really, I'm not a huge fan of either of those programs.
Don't have any major reasons to dislike either of them.
I don't know.
At this point, I'm loyal or bust loyal.
La Chicago, of course, advancing to the elite eight.
Recently, they'll play on Saturday night tomorrow night against Kansas State.
Believe it or not, I tweeted this this morning and it blew up.
You know, we're talking like two likes, half a retweet, it was pretty big.
Loyola Chicago vs. K state sounds like that round to 64 game that happens at like 9.45 PM Eastern and you just you go to bed because it's
Loyola versus Kansas State like who who cares. Instead we have this game
deciding who wins the region which is crazy. I was talking to my brother this
morning. I shared this fact which I think is fascinating. Loyola and Kansas
State are playing for a final four birth neither one of those two teams had to and I think that's just the same thing. And I think that's just the same thing.
And I think that's just the same thing.
And I think that's just the same thing.
And I think that's just the same thing.
And I think that's just the same thing.
And I think that's just the same thing.
And I think that's just the same thing.
And I think that's just the same thing.
And I think that's just the same thing.
And I think that's just the same thing.
And I think that's just the same thing. two seed. That's just, it's crazy.
It, it makes you kind of start to think these two teams aren't really that good.
And of course, look, they've beaten the teams that have beaten the really good teams.
Does that make you really good?
I mean, theoretically, just by using logic, it does.
But I just, can you imagine a Loyola Chicago going up against a Kansas or a Duke?
I mean, I'll believe it when I see it.
I'm, you know, all for Loyola all day, obviously.
Got the Chicago ties, but it's just crazy
because they're going to get to the final four potentially or Kansas state.
One of those two teams obviously is going to be there
and then they're going to have to play, I don't know,
that West Side of the Bracket is still a shit show.
Who else is in there?
Florida State is in there unbelievably.
And then who's the last team?
I don't know.
We'll look it up later.
But I just feel like there's going to be a team on that West Side of the Bracket
that really isn't that good.
And look, everybody's good here in the round of 64.
Like everybody is great.
You're the best of the best.
But I really don't think they're top of the top.
Like I would take any of the final four teams on the left side of the bracket,
you know, playing for a final four birth tomorrow.
You take him against or I would pick against them if they're playing Kansas,
or Duke, or Nova, or honestly, even Virginia at this point.
That game was just such a fluke, but Michigan State,
oh Michigan, that's who the other team is.
Michigan versus Florida State.
Michigan, Florida State, K State, Loyola, Chicago.
One of those four teams is gonna be
in the national championship game.
Michigan is the only one where I'm like, okay, yeah, that makes sense.
Those are the three.
God damn, I have no idea what's going on, but we rambled on that for way too long.
Let's go ahead and move off the subject of March Manus.
And I do want to talk about something that's a little bit more relevant hopefully to hopefully to the rest of my listeners
My hair as I get a sip of orange juice here
Tequila sunrise is using but my hair so a lot of people have been asking about this
I've been sending tweets
To at bean town cast sending emails to bean townpodcasteahu.com, that's beantown,
B-E-A-N-T-O-W-N, podcasteahu.com. Saying, hey Quinn, we like the hair, we just want to
know what's your vision like. And I say first and foremost, well, it's like a 19
over 21, I just went to my
Dialogist last weekend or last Christmas. We got that checked out
What's that called in your eyes are woo woo dilated? Yes, so die. That's not a thing op topologist optometrist
There's an optometrist and an ophthalmologist
So what's what's going on there? You know, I'd like I'd like somebody to me, frankly, because I've been here for 23 years, and no one has.
But what's your vision like for the hair?
And I say this, look, it's longer than it's ever been.
It's starting to look, no, what I was thinking,
my original vision here was kind of a curt Russell
mid to late eighties
big trouble little
china
china uh... you should see my hand motions there spot on
for china
but uh...
that's a little china but
and you know i'm thinking like okay i'm gonna look sexy, I'm gonna look strong,
it's gonna be flowing in the wind, I'm gonna be a movie star probably, it's all gonna
be turning up Quinn.
Instead, I kinda got this Kathy Bates thing going where it's going great all of a sudden
I feel like, and I don't know.
It's just not quite doing it for me.
Look, Kathy, I love you.
We'd love to get you on the podcast sometimes.
Send me a message, but I'll be darned.
It's just not working right now.
So the one thing I do really like is when I go out for runs,
I throw on my red sweat band and all of a sudden
I look like a frickin' mac and roll out there playing singles on the clay court.
But other than that, you know, look, the volume's great, really happy with the volume.
I just kind of got helmet here, you know, I look like those guys in the opening scene
of Star Wars 4 with the Kibbutops Pokemon helmets.
You know, they go way back.
I don't know if it's working.
So we'd love to have your advice on that.
I also do run my own hair cutting business.
It's cuts by Q that cuts with a Q, Q, U, T, Z, buy, Q, the letter Q.
If you are interested in getting your haircut, you can certainly send
us an email and we love this schedule that for you.
It's beantown podcast at yahoo.com, it's beantown, B-E-A-N-T-O-W-N podcast at yahoo.com.
Cuts by Q, not a officially incorporated business, although I don't know.
What's going on with incorporated versus unincorporated
because sometimes you'll be driving through the the the the the the country side and you'll
see a town and it's like Clarksville Tennessee unincorporated, you know, what's going on
with these towns that aren't incorporated that are unincorporated. Why can't they get their
act together?
That's really my biggest question.
What does it take for a town to get incorporated?
And what does that mean for us in 2018 moving forward?
So anyways, that's my hair.
It's 68 to 64 Nova.
We will keep you in tune with the score of that game
as we move forward.
I'm really excited. We have a double dosage of trivia happening this weekend.
So my trivia team, we're playing tomorrow afternoon at the Horseshoe Casino in Baltimore,
trying to secure our place in the finals, which takes place next weekend.
There are 26 teams competing tomorrow for five spots in the finals.
So it's tough, but I don't know.
I feel good about this team.
We got some of that March madness, Cinderella magic going for us. So been
watching a lot of jeopardy, you know, watching a lot of dealer and Odiel. That has nothing
to do with the trivia. I just like the models who stand up there. But beyond that, you
know, been trying to get the knowledge going. That's that's part one, part two, Sunday afternoon.
I'm going back to Federal Hill to play some
Seinfeld trivia.
I can't even begin to describe to you how excited I am
for this.
I've never played Seinfeld trivia in my life.
You know what would be just the greatest thing of all time
is if I could get my entire family to come out and play sign felt trippy with me at some point in my life
If we could ever make that happen because I can't tell you
How many times walked into my parents bedroom at like 10 o'clock at night back home growing up
And they got the the back-to-back episodes Seinfeld going every single night that was playing.
And then I'll go home to my parents' house
over the holidays even now.
And you still, 10 o'clock hour,
you get two more episodes of Seinfeld.
It's going pretty much every day all the time.
So as good as I feel about that,
imagine if you had six fledgling ferni with all their bustling
gentrification of sign fell knowledge happening. That would just be spectacular. But
I'll ask them going solo. Well, not completely solo. I got some friends coming to help me out.
Hopefully add some some good juju to the pot some juju fruit if you will
We're playing that on on Sunday. It got me thinking about when I was a college undergrad
We used to do sign fell impressions and you know super stereotypical like you got to always be yelling
I mean who's ever done a sign fell impression when you're not yelling with your voice raised. I mean come on
What's the deal?
You know, it's just no one's actually talented enough to do a Jerry
side-filed impression when he's just talking like normal.
I mean, that's just, that's tough.
It gets way too easy when you're just raising your voice.
But we used to do it for, uh, for like Star Wars characters.
And my favorite was that we would give a voice,
a side-filed voice to Darth Maul,
because he doesn't get many lines himself.
The coolest thing about Darth Maul and the Phantom Menace
is he's got the one blade,
and that's all you see when he fights Qui-Gon on Tatooine.
But then when he pulls it out, Puh, Naboo,
and he's taking on you and McGregor there in Liam Neeson,
he's got the double blade coming out of both sides,
this is the coolest thing.
And we used to be like,
what the fuck, all these lights saggers?
Come on.
Imagine a Darth Maul, head Jerry Seinfeld's voice.
Look, the Phantom Manus was already the best Star Wars movie.
I think we can all agree upon that.
But that would just, look,
you got the conversation of the all-time
greats. We're talking Citizen Kane, a boss baby, any other number of films, but
Fandom Manus would be right up there if we could have gotten Jerry Seinfeld
doing the the Darth Maul part. Maybe completely playing that part. Can you imagine
Jerry Seinfeld with their red and black paint
and he got the mullet coming out back
and I don't know, I would watch that movie so quickly,
you have no idea.
Jerry Seinfeld in a pod racing scene,
come on, what's with these Tuscan Raiders?
They gotta stop shooting at us.
I would watch that, that would be amazing.
Let's get a sip of the tequila sundares.
How are we doing on time?
27 minutes.
You know, this would be the perfect time
in a normal person's podcast to read some advertising,
but I have no news on the Jack links front. I have no news on
Whatever the hell that wine bottle
Company was last week that we were drinking from I gave such a good endorsement
I'm gonna start tweeting at these companies see, you know, what's the deal?
Basically, we're just gonna be doing sign fells from here and out. So if you're okay with that, please continue. But I don't
know, maybe maybe we're thinking too big. Maybe we should start with some like industrial
landscaping advertisements or something. I don't know, we just got to get somebody to give
us a chance, get the foot in the door. We'll get some advertising revenue going.
I'm trying not to think too big, but I don't know.
I would love it if we got the US government
to advertise or the New York Yankees.
I think they would be a great spot
or the Baltimore Orioles.
Boost those attendance numbers up.
Here in Beentown, that would be great for some home games.
I bought my tickets to Camden Yards, going with my brother who's visiting for a couple
of days that will be a lot of fun.
So, hey Camden Yards, if you're listening, this is the podcast for you.
Or Fenway Park for that matter because this is the Bintown podcast.
I want to remind all my listeners before we move into our final segment of the night
here that we are going to Boston, Cinco de Mayo weekend, the first weekend in May.
It's like the inverse memorial day.
We're going up there to do a podcast with the car ride convo's podcast co hosted by
Ryan Ligand Christian English. I don't know Kristen. Are you going by English or Lig and these days because frankly?
I can't keep track. What's the deal? What's taking your husband's name? It's so biblical. Is that actually biblical?
I don't know. That was just something that I grew up with. I don't know if that's actually kosher or not. But yeah, we're going up there early May to do
some podcasts. Ryan was on our podcast three, four episodes maybe now, three
episodes. This sounds right to do our Oscars predictacular. That was a lot of
fun. We never did get a final tally. Quintenverse Ryan, I think we were pretty
close because I think Ryan beat me on like the sounded anyone's
I don't remember what else we differed on but yeah, that was a lot of fun and when we're going up there to
To do some shows with him will be doing a podcast live from bean town
Yeah, it's gonna be a lot of fun really looking forward to it the
Kentucky Derby is that Sunday I I believe. So maybe we'll have
a Derby-themed podcast. I don't know. Look out. We got some things in the works. Okay.
Quick score update. We got Nova 76 Virginia. West Virginia 68. Only four minutes left.
This is not good. This was pulling away. I swear to God.
Wednesday last time West Virginia made it to the..., there's a three for Nova this game's over
Winds the last time West Virginia made it past the sweet 16 because I feel like every goddamn year they either lose in
the
The round of 32 or the sweet 16 without fail and good good for these guys, you know
the round of 32 or the sweet 16 without fail. And good for these guys, you know,
for making it that far every year,
much rather have that than, you know,
beat the Paul and just suck ass every year.
But it's gotta be frustrating as a fan base, you know,
you know, wow, we've had such a good year, you know,
they're consistently, you know, second or third
in the big 12 and then they may get to the end
of the first week in or the start of the second weekend, and they have to play somebody like
Nova, and it's just, it's all from there. They can never take on the top dog, and that's
about as frustrating as it gets when you reach this level play. It's kind of how I felt about Wichita this year because they had a great year.
Beat some some good teams, but they were never able to beat the teams that were better than them, right?
They lost in Notre Dame in the holiday invite.
They lost to Trey Young and OU, right?
When OU was getting amazing before they just completely crash and burns in conference play.
They lost to Houston in the conference room. They lost to Cincinnati and the final game in the regular season.
Cincinnati ranked like six or something. So they play so well and they play these teams tough.
But they just couldn't beat the good teams and that's kind of what it feels like West Virginia is going through right now.
It's a ten point game. There's only
It's going for three. There's only two minutes left. So this one's just about over
That that nine o'clock game is starting soon
Syracuse and Duke that's interesting. Duke is my pick to in the national championship. So
Syracuse and Duke, that's interesting. Duke is my pick to the national championship.
So I've already lost out on any chances of potentially winning any money,
but I wouldn't mind Duke going all the way if it's not going to be Lollola or Michigan,
just so I can kind of feel good about myself, you know.
For once in my life, I just like to feel good about myself.
So, hmm.
We haven't done a lot of voices as podcasts or the sign fell. It's been a pretty straightforward podcast, straightforward,
unlike myself in college, yikes. I was all over the place, sexually, emotionally, physically,
physically and sexually,
those two things different.
When you're talking about them like that,
I don't know.
We are rambling hard, no pun intended
for Loyola Chicago.
Let's move into our last segment.
It's actually a new segment that we are pretty excited about here.
It's called, what are your guys' thoughts on.
Dot, dot dot dot?
And eclipse is what they they call it when you have the three dots. Eclipse sees, I think the three dots in a row.
So yeah, we're starting a new segment.
Basically, we're just going to, you know, we're going to talk about some issues.
And in each week, you know, we'll get it going on the Facebook chat,
on the Insta chat, if we get a profile on there. And we'll just kind of
get your, get your thoughts. And we'll kind of, you know, take
those into consideration as we're talking about the following week
on the podcast, you know, we might do some, we might hit the
streets a little bit, we might be taking it to the streets, just
like Mike McDonald used to sing. See it's
coming full circle to what we were doing last week, two weeks ago with her Michael, make Donald
impression. But yeah, we just want to, we want to ask some, some important questions and you know,
a lot of times this podcast is me rambling and kind of the, the hard hitting scripted comedy,
the bits that you see, um, stand up. So we're trying to balance it out here and there.
We want this podcast to be for everyone.
So last thing we're gonna talk about tonight,
what are your guys thoughts on the 19th amendment?
That is our topic.
Let me read out what the 19th amendment is all about here.
If you don't know, it was passed adopted on August 18th, 1920. Here's the text. We'll
read it straight forward. The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied
or bridged by the United States or by any state on account of sex. Congress shall have power to
enforce this article by appropriate legislation. So that's the bill if you know if we're kind of doing a little spark notes action here basically what it's saying is you
Can't be denied your right to vote
Whether you're uh or depending on you know whether you're a man or a woman that your gender has or your sex has no
whether you're a man or a woman. That your gender or your sex has no impact on whether you can vote or not.
It's just the age thing.
So, to give, let's do some historical context.
Before this man was passed, in a lot of states, you could only vote if you were a man.
And after the man was passed, you could vote whether you're a man or a woman.
So, I just want to put that out there.
Where do you guys thoughts on that?
I see, I come back and forth on these sorts of things,
but the thing that I always try to think of is,
you don't want to be on the wrong side of history.
Your kids or your grandkids might ask you,
I'm in 20 to 50 years, say, grandpa, cue, grandpa, cue,
Dave, you came out in full force in 2018 and
supported the 90th Amendment. Do you stand by your decision? And I want to say, yeah, I
think, yeah, I support the right of women to vote. I think people are people, and I don't
see color, and I don't see gender. They know, they should be able to vote no matter what political party or gender or sex or color they are.
I don't want it to be 2050 and my grandkids are saying,
hey, old fart, why aren't you back in your assinus, Ilam, and also why did you say you disagreed
with the 19th Amendment?
People are people.
They should be able to vote.
We're colorblind, and I'll say, you're right.
Grandkids, I botched that one.
When I think back on it, now I think women
should have been able to vote.
And so we just want to avoid that situation so you know what do you what do you guys thoughts on that you know where do you
where do you fall in that do you think do you think people are people you know are you gender blind
do you think you know men and women should be able to vote equally or do you think that there is
you know do you think there's something to this gender hierarchy you know do they actually have it
going you know they are they have Have they been right all along?
So let's just get that discussion going. We'll open it up on Facebook to kind of get your
reactions. But yeah, I just wanted to introduce that new segment. What are your thoughts on?
And this week we're talking all about the 19th Amendment. So that should get some robust
discussion going and hopefully we'll get some good contributions.
Okay, that is
what I wanted to talk about our last check-in on the score of this West Virginia Nova game.
Nova continues to be ahead by 10 points with two minutes left. I swear that's what we said five minutes ago.
Ooh West Virginia with a steal that that classic Bob Huggins press defense is working.
Boy, we got fouls all over the place. All right, this game, oh, last thing, the Wichita
State Marshall game in which Marshall upset Wichita State. The last minute of actual game Game time took 18 minutes of real time.
That's insane.
It's absurd.
One of the reasons it,
look, I love college basketball way more than the NBA,
but just basketball in general,
one of the things that turns me off so much
is just how fricking long the ends of games,
the ends of halves take.
Not the first half really in college basketball,
but the first half of NBA sometimes, the end of games, the ends of halves take. Not the first half really, and it caused best well, but the first half of NBA sometimes,
the end of games are just ridiculous.
With the fouls, with the time outs,
they review everything, which I think is fine.
I'm OK with the reviews, but they don't have to take
as long as they do.
So NBA, if you're out there, we'd love to have you
as a sponsor, you can send us an email,
or the NCAA for that matter.
Men's or women's, I'm gender blind.
