Hey, what's going on? Welcome to Quinn Davis first presents the bean town podcast. Oh, they're they're showing the ejection video
Of course right when I look down for a Labor Day weekend
Sunday September 1st
2019 year two of the podcast what's going on? How are you? Very special unannounced guests joining me today live on air
It's Matthew Feedler all the way from Rockdale and Oye Matthew what's going on?
Not much. Glad to be here. Thanks for opening up your your humble abode.
Yeah. Matthew is probably the first like close friend that's seen the new apartment up here in beautiful
Rogers Park where we are streaming live. It's 750 square feet. It's it's very spacious. There's a slight echo in here too. Yeah, I hope it's a resonance.
Oh, that's the thing. I don't usually notice any of that stuff because I don't usually talk in the apartment unless I'm doing a podcast.
Do you do when you're like sitting there by yourself?
Do you because I have lots of thoughts in my head,
I think it's most fuel to people.
I think that's normally where people have their thoughts
and verbalize them when you're by yourself.
Um, not, I don't think I consciously do.
I might muddle or mumble to myself.
I, I don't know where I read this actually,
but people that talk to themselves
are actually smarter than people that don't.
A little bit crazier too, I think.
Probably, I mean probably.
But...
Sometimes when I'm playing bullet force,
we were talking about earlier, it's an online FPS game.
And like something doesn't go my way, which is more often than not.
You curse?
I curse, but like not like audible, like something you can hear.
It's just like, I just like mouth it to myself.
Oh, yeah, oh, I do that too.
Which people listening can't really pick up on this,
because it just basically moved his lips.
But I normally go like, I do that too.
I'm like, yeah.
Yeah, that's, you gotta, I don't know.
I didn't, so we both grew up in very similar
Communities and just family
Scrooge in the community no, I'm talking about like family and social school and etc. And you know
cursing was not part of the
Cursing was encouraged am I really not not right? I would I would beg to do this. Oh, this is a close play
We're watching the Cubs game. Oh
Did you see Lucroy just like watch that ball? Yeah?
So oh, that's carotene now so
Just so you all are aware we're watching the Cubs and Milwaukee game Cubs haven't scored in about
40 days and 40 nights literally it's a drought like none Yeah, there's just a drop, third strike, one, two, two,
outs, guy swings, misses.
Caratini dismissed it.
And he hustled for a second, and then he just kind
of walked to the backstop.
And we can't hear it.
James kind of has a weird run about him.
He's kind of a little guy.
Yeah, his legs don't seem like they.
His legs are trying to go faster than his body wants to go. Let's see one point here then I get back
because I like stop mid sentence. Listen to discretion is advised me to say being
top podcast. We might mouth bad words. Well mouth bad words and if you could see us you
they need to be blurred out and they number two the podcast is objectively terrible.
It's always a little bit more fun and a little bit higher quality when we've got our
friend met.
Or maybe more objectively terrible.
Objectively, or it's always objectively terrible.
Not subjectively.
Well, I just said it once and I kind of stuck.
It's like 20 months later, I'm sticking with my story.
This is like what month, 20, I think of the bean tunnel podcast so that's pretty long stint
so when you started this podcast was it
Was it supposed to go?
What are you thinking a year?
One day no, I started it out of spite because I remember having conversations with the family because
we had been talking about starting a podcast, you know, like Fall 2017.
This is beautiful right here.
We're watching a caught stealing.
Look at that.
That's why you don't steal kids.
You get caught.
The runner before catching the ball.
That's beautiful.
Matthew and I had been talking about Serenade Podcasts, balanced it too, but it never just for like tech reasons we never got it going. And then I,
but I had mentioned to family members like, yeah, I'm thinking of Serenade
Podcasts and like, you're not going to start a podcast. So it's the age of the
internet. You can do pretty much anything now. A couple weeks later I bought a pair
of Samson. Actually, I just had one at first. I bought a Samson Q2U series microphone for that crisp clean audio quality
We'll come back to that
And I started a podcast and you know you go to the first episode and you'll be like what is this and that's kind of 20 months later
Still how I feel but we've had I feel like it's changed though. If you were to, like if you go back,
and I know you released like the best of episodes,
and you can kind of hear the quality,
your ability to fill the time a lot,
it's evolved over the span of your episodes.
I appreciate that.
You're welcome.
Let me finish up this one thought,
and then I have a next thought.
I was mid-sentence like two minutes ago
when I got distracted by the baseball game.
Clearly swearing was not a big part of your childhood.
It was not a big part of mine.
Occasionally, when mom or dad, mostly mom would let one fly.
That was a big deal.
It was a stroke or under the bus.
Yeah, well, it's okay.
We're a family show here.
But then I think probably,
I started refreshing your college when all of a sudden,
I just went from like zero to 60 in terms of being
surrounded by that stuff.
It just like, I just started using it more frequently and I still I think in
college and grad school I probably like swore not like a lot but just it was
like more common for me nowadays like I don't think I really swear.
You really? So I've noticed you'll give your disclaimer as far as like you know
hey you know I don't think you ever say it's
explicit right but there's a disclaimer that there might be some some crash or
adult level words but I don't think you ever like go so far as to say them.
Not usually no. Yeah it doesn't happen that that frequently. I think when I'm
with like honestly I notice it when I'm like, honestly,
I notice it if I'm talking to like close friends,
like you, like you got here like an hour ago
and I think I've already sworn like four or five times.
But I didn't even notice.
Yeah, so I'm good at it.
But I'm pretty tasteful words.
So actually at work, I don't know how much I wanted to school here.
You'll hear some swear words thrown around behind closed doors that work more than my
respect.
Now, usually from me.
Why?
I guess I am kind of cutting you off here.
But for growing up, I always had this picture of like what corporate America was, you know, and as time goes on,
you kind of find out that you probably talk a certain way to clients or people you work
with. Obviously, our working situations are slightly different, but people swear all
the time. I felt like at one point, you just, you don't, you know, you kind of talk
these words that are not very offensive or whatever,
but I feel like that really hasn't happened yet for me.
Yeah, and there's definitely a spectrum, right,
of which ones are more socially acceptable.
Like, I don't even consider what I do,
but like, I would say damn it like at work,
and I wouldn't think twice about it.
Or what the hell, I also have that.
Yeah, and to me that's like,
or like some people consider
like bastard to be a swear word.
I would like that word is like fully functional
on my vocabularity.
I just don't, I can't think of a situation at work
where I would use the word bastard.
If you, I almost always use the word bastard
in joking sense, like if something happens,
or you slide bastard.
Yeah. I don't say that, but like under my breath I always use the word bastard in joking sense. Like if something happens, or you slide bastard.
Yeah.
I don't say that, but like under my breath,
it's like bastard.
I say that quite often.
If like, I don't know.
We found out some law school in Chicago,
like we had to have us or something.
We were in a, you know, like a staff,
we ain't gonna be like,
that's very stupid.
And it would get like five laughs.
Which is good,
because there's like six of us in the office. That's pretty good ratio. Yeah, but like was it counting you?
Depends okay sometimes I'm present sometimes my mind is on bullet force
That's foul okay. Let's see. Oh others were words like I don't think I would ever
Like be the first person to drop the F bomb in my office, but I have
There are other people who might
Yeah, I don't know what about the people I feel like you can't say that in public. Yeah, I don't I don't use that very frequently
In my daily language sometimes if I'm like jostling around
with fantasy football friends,
I'll throw that around occasionally.
But yeah, I don't use that one very frequently
just because that one I think more than most
forwards like has the tendency to be offensive.
It's gonna be obvious population.
If you're not like careful with how you use it.
So that's fair.
But yes, where words are fascinating,
like cultural thing, I don't know.
I don't know.
Those are my thoughts on swear words.
Yeah, no, that's fair.
That's going to be a tough play.
Got them.
We're just watching the Cubs implode over here, which is fun. That's fair. That's going to be a tough play. Got him.
We're just watching the Cubs implode over here, which is fun.
OK, this is, we are on like the, well, for Beentown, the year annual anniversary.
I don't think that's right.
The one year anniversary.
The annual anniversary.
The one year anniversary of our, one of our only I think we've had maybe two, maybe three
podcasts live from the car or I've been driving.
You'll remember if you go back a year ago, I was driving down I-65 in Indiana.
Wait, oh yeah, you recorded while you were driving?
While I was driving from the Indianapolis area back to Chicago, on my way home from a fantasy football
draft, believe it or not, and for the same league,
I had mine this morning.
It's a kismet.
That was one where I talked about the interesting gas
stations and the.
Oh, yeah.
The penis drinks. no indiana is a
crazy place man because you're like
that I mean that gas station I was in
like what do you mean we think I was in
was in Gary in the Arkansas or something
no you don't go to Gary nobody goes to
Gary but I was probably like 15
miles outside of Chicago land it was
just very strange got hit again
charged amount Tony Kim just got hit on the keyster right on the the left 18 miles outside of Chicago land. It was just very strange. Got hit again. It's charged to mount.
Tony Kim just got hit on the keyster.
Right on the left.
Oh no, I guess it would be the right buttocks.
I'm trying to get it.
I think it was the right buttocks.
It's the right, yeah.
Is it buttocks or buttocks?
Buttocks.
But if it's just one.
Oh, wow.
That's honestly probably the best place to get hit.
Yeah, that's true.
You don't wanna get hit in the bones.
Either they're like, there are some places
and your thigh that have a little bit more
like padding than others, but the butt like.
You're talking about me specifically or me in general.
Okay, me in general.
Playing people in general.
I think if you get hit like close to your tailbone
that could be really bad, but otherwise
if you're getting mostly cheek, it's not too bad. You see this picture is wind up. Oh he does a lot of
weird stuff. Yeah, so Matthew's gonna take over, he's gonna give you a breakdown of this
picture's, this picture's like coming to set motion. Oh man okay hold on I have to
see it first. Alright so we have a little bit of hand behind the back, crouching forward, leaning forward,
glove on the thigh.
Okay.
Oh, then he, oh wow.
He's acting like he's the one that's batting.
His arms go so far behind him.
And then he like, wails his arms sideways across his body.
Yeah, well, that wouldn't work for me.
But then again, I'm not getting paid
to throw a ball either.
He's left handed though. Something to share in common.
Yeah, we do have that.
You ever do much baseball playing of any kind?
Me.
Never.
Nope. I almost, there was in talks for a while because I kind of wanted to I threw around the idea so
my parents kind of looked into a league and yeah just didn't end up doing it.
But was there any like around the backyard activities?
Oh yeah we did we did some baseball we did a little some kickball type action so
definitely I know my way around a diamond. But other than that, the baseball
could be like it was like softball or whatever ball we had. We had some really nice like
they were baseball regulation baseball size, but they were a little bit of squish. Kind
of like the juice balls that they use today. Like my body type. Boy, you're growing yourself. That way.
Because it's a little bit of squish.
For the record, I'm not like doing something perverse.
I literally put my hand on my stomach
as you would after Thanksgiving dinner and say, oh boy.
I feel like we could like in this moment too.
There's a moment in the office where Michael Scott,
played by Steve Crelrel is out of the office and Jim Helpert is I would
know it's Dwight that's supposed to be reenacting what's going on in the meeting so Michael doesn't
mess out and they start kind of playing against Dwight.
Yeah, why, Quinn, why are you grabbing yourself that way?
Oh, that's gross.
Stop cutting out.
He's putting those on the podcast. Yeah. Yeah. Well, you can edit that Oh, that's gross. Stop cutting out. It goes on the podcast. Yeah. Yeah.
Well, you can edit that out if that's true.
No, that's okay. Everyone knows when it comes to bean time,
or you don't do fancy edits.
Although occasionally when I sing a song,
I'll put some cool effects.
Oh, yeah, that is true.
All the effects.
Yeah, you mentioned that you were a singer of the Father's Day song.
It's such a great. And now, I do want to bring a little bit of scrutiny.
I don't think that you're dead
have ever worked at Macy's, right?
He works there right now.
Oh, right now he works there.
Yeah.
Oh, wow.
OK, see, I thought it was a whole pride organ,
not to get to the ad revenue or the ad segments too early.
But I thought that was his main course of, oh, he does work.
Okay.
So the song has a little bit more validity than I thought it once did.
Okay.
That's great.
Take your crap out of here.
Yeah.
I was listening to the other day.
What a great melody.
So catchy.
Thank you so much.
I kind of just, I think I wrote that when I was drunk too.
We were talking about the, the cuts by Q song right before I started recording that one. wrote that when I was drunk too. We were talking about the cuts by Q-song
right before I started recording that one.
Was that when you were drunk as well?
Yeah.
You do your best writing under the influence?
Well, I would spend a lot of time in Baltimore
just walking, because public transportation was so awful.
And so when you're drunk walking home two miles,
you had a lot of time to just sing melodies and figure stuff out.
Yeah, for sure.
You know, you don't know what's going to happen.
We should have broken out the scotch for this episode,
but I felt like it was too early in the day.
It's not too early. It's four o'clock.
The problem is, if I drink in the middle of the afternoon though
I just were not a gas by like
I would like in myself to some people use
Alcohol is kind of like the social lubricant, you know people are a little uptight or whatever. I don't feel like I need
A beverage to just to have fun.
Well, you're pretty like outgoing.
For a home-schooled person, yeah, I'm fairly. But I feel like if I drink, I just, I get tired a lot quicker.
I just kind of. Yeah. No, I feel young. I get tired quickly in general.
But yeah, once I, once I like have a drink or two, it's unless I'm like
moving around, like, yes, you're a good example. I had a glass of scotch. What kind of scotch
are you drinking these days? Well, we'll go into the kitchen later and look. I don't know, I just
got a bottle on Thursday or Friday, something like that.
It's not my favorite, it goes down pretty rough.
Oh, okay.
Cause I just drank my, my like,
with the, with a nice cute.
Okay.
But it's still good.
But like I was drinking, I had a glass yesterday at like 5 p.m.
And then I went all the way down to Millennium Park for a JASFAS.
But I was with a friend.
And so I actually like had pretty good energy levels.
We went back to a bar right by, right down the street there.
After that, we played a game of pool,
which I don't think I'd play pool and honestly,
I suck the pool.
Yeah, I suck the pool.
And like that.
And I thought I was bad.
Boy, Ryan Sandker, if you listen to this boy, you got to brush up, man.
I didn't, the worst part though was I didn't get a satisfactory win because, or a satisfying
win because he scratched the eight ball with like, he had like two balls left.
And I, I, that's normally how many balls I have left.
Yeah, I suck it.
So kind of background on me, growing up,
we had those multi-tables,
where it's like you can play Fuzball,
you can play not air hockey, but it was hockey.
There's just no fan underneath the table,
or you can play pool.
And the problem with this is the table was a lot smaller than regulation pool as were
like the balls were a little bit smaller.
Yeah, we had one of these two.
And so when I thought that I was pretty decent, I went to carry my skills onto a bigger
table and it just really messed me up.
So whatever like little talent I thought I had was pretty much removed.
You're saying the game didn't translate for you?
It did not translate, no.
That's a bar.
The sticks were way bigger.
I felt my hands got smaller and it just, yeah.
That is a thing.
Things changed and not proportionally.
Things changed.
You heard it here first.
Well, we're going to get to some ads here.
I promise Matthew this would be a little bit of a shorter episode
because get out of here.
Did he hit it too high or is it going to go?
Hit it too high.
Or watching baseball still.
Fly out to the track to end the seventh with runner
in scoring position.
Great.
Cups still haven't scored in now.
Two full games, which is exciting.
OK, we're going to read some ads.
And then we're going to talk about another podcast
that we have in hosts, which we're also
going to be recording in a little bit here.
Should I just do something?
I left the ad page.
Somehow I went to Facebook Acted Denali.
It's all these
Google. You know, it's funny because I do that too. I don't really, I don't get on Facebook that much,
but whenever I open like a Google tab, I just like type in Facebook and it's, I'm kind of disappointed
myself, but that's like my instinctual or habitual thing to do. Yep. I think that'll start to go away
before too long here because I still like want to be on Facebook because there's people like me that will like actually post.
Yeah, interesting things and I want to see those things, but they're just so hard to find.
I feel like people are aged, don't use Facebook near as much as they used to.
It's kind of an older generation that's gotten way more active in the sharing things. You know what I got to do is I've joined too many like funny groups.
Yeah, the meme groups.
Some memes, but I've like, I've gotten off a lot of those, but a lot of like
office or sign felt. Yeah.
Groups and the problem is if you sort by new, which is what I prefer to do.
They're always posting.
They're always posting, but they show everything.
And so I'll scroll for like five minutes
and still be only like 10 minutes old.
And it's just all these group posts that are just things
that I don't really care about.
So I have to just leave those groups.
You know what would be a great meme name?
Hit me.
Mememegrals.
Well, I'm sure that exists. Probably. That's too good of an idea to
wait too good of an idea. Well, if it's not then there's there's some fodder for the fantasy football team
meme girls. Oh yeah, for sure. Hey, is your ankle okay? What happened there? I fell off a board.
Yeah, it was partly caused by our dog, Charlie.
He wanted in on the action and just kind of dove at me.
Blood was spilt.
Yeah, I see that.
All right.
I'm going to read an ad.
Matthew's going to read an ad.
Then we're going to talk about our other podcast.

HomePrideOrgan in-spection.
In-spection.
Perfect.
I said come in.
I said you said, you said,
you said, expection.
I expect, perfect.
That's not the line. Yeah, well, okay, I was looking. We're not gonna get money for this. I
Was looking at the baseball game and then you
Know what's going on. So I looked down at your notes and I my eyes aren't that good, but I saw perfection and I kind of
I yeah, I just kind of botched it.
But I do kind of miss the, the Jowels shaking that you do.
That's kind of new.
In the past few episodes, the,
that kind of, yeah, no, it was more guttural before.
What?
It was more like deep in the voice box.
It's there's always been Jowel action.
You just can't see it.
Jowels.
It's one of great work, that is.
Good work.
I love J words in general.. Yeah, they're all right
Any word that Jane at W is my kind of word J W's
Jehovah's Witness, I guess that's two but yeah
Shout out to the Samsung Q2U series. Yeah, shout out double duty today Chris getting it from both sides today
Oh Chris play clear audio quality. For the
sound you can trust Old Testament, New Testament, NIV, KJV. When God speaks, he uses a
Samson and red letters. That's when Jesus speaks. That's right, actually. You go to, you know,
Genesis and God's. Why don't they do when God speaks I don't know because I feel like
I
Won't get and I won't get too religious here on everyone, but I feel like if the crux of
I'm like I'd say the crux the basis of
the basis of Christianity is that God the Holy Spirit and you just are the same, right? So
Oh, man, so Quinn's leaving me. So I have to fill up a little bit of...
Just gonna...
No.
And have you give a shout out to our sponsors here at Torred Curves.
Torred Curves.
It's time.
Yeah, Thomas, tell us what you see.
I see a very overexexposed picture on the cover.
And I don't mean exposed in the way that you probably think.
I mean, like photography, lingo.
It's just kind of bright, the highlights are kind of blown out.
Yeah, exposed as far as skin, not so much.
Endless summer, we got some great looks for you guys here.
Hey, I got some really good perfume samples in the mail this week.
I got I know we were talking about perfume on our other show a couple weeks ago.
Perfume.
Yeah.
From I got the area on a grand day.
Oh, get out.
Like a little child baby or something.
No, it was the.
Well, thank you next to perfume. But I think I had a Johnny Depp one.
There's someone else too. Chris Hansworth has a zone.
Not really. Or is it Liam? I don't know. Liam's would be called heartbreak.
Heartbreak. Yeah.
Anyways, thank you to our sponsors. Well, unofficial sponsors, toward curves.
Don't forget, you can always respond back
to our DMs and emails toward curves
because we'd love to be in business with you.
We got the jagging is going on,
they got bombshell skinny.
Oh, and this, this in from Lisa from New York.
Finally, I've waited for these my entire adult life.
That's pretty good.
This is the first pair of jeans that fit me correctly.
Maybe I should get in on that action.
I don't know if it's, is it just for females?
Red email summoning back brace.
Oh yeah, that's a different story for a different day.
Okay, I could briefly share.
Brief and just.
I randomly won an Amazon giveaway
and I got a free female back brace
I don't know what this means does it kind of fit me? Yes, but it also doesn't work doesn't brace me at all
so
That was brief. That was good. That's brief enough. It was free though. Yeah
All right. We got one more ad here and Matthew was graciously agreed to read it
I'm gonna butcher though because I thought
One I can't read that far.
This is your trial run for when I need a guest host.
I'm also a bad reader.
Oh, man, can I, whoa, I've never done that on a computer.
I'm a zoom in.
I feel like, I feel like I'm probably 65 years old and I need my readers.
I'm just kind of looking down my nose.
Bob and weave, we all know the hairstyle and we all love it.
But how many Chicago-based independent barbers can actually give it to you the way that you deserve?
Enter a Cuts by Q. It's like enter Sandman, but different. Cuts by Q has been independently owned and offered.
It was going so well and I stumbled there. Since 1995, it's probably one of the better-butter
barbershop operations serving Chicago, Cook County, County and Chicago land from beehives to bings,
full hawks to flat tops and everything in between
called cuts by Q at a one five two nine eight,

Oh, when you need a fresh do,
something snappy and new, call the experts at Cuts.
Bye, Q. There you go.
Nice.
Thank you so much.
It's like I've heard it enough that I kind of know the flow,
but I also can't read, so that makes it hard.
Yeah, it's a balancing act, for sure.
Well, you may or may not know this,
but we also host another show called the White Noise
Podcasts.
And this is on the white.
It's notoriously hard to find on the internet,
but if you include enough keywords and our names
and our socials, I think you can find it.
Matthew, tell us a little bit about the White Noise podcast.
Well, it started out way back in the day.
I'm not going way back, but Quinn and I were throwing around
the idea of actually having a podcast together.
And it never happened, and then Quinn started his,
and then we finally got around to starting one together.
And basically, we just randomly talk about random things.
It started out like, oh, let's have topics.
And then that kind of petered out, which we might get back
to the assigned topics.
But if you want to hear some basic, I don't know,
if it's interesting, I guess it's slightly interesting to me
but banter about
movies, current events or just
general white noise
to play in the background of your daily commute or running jogging just being just living life
You could check it out. I think it's easier to find if you look up
white noise podcast and then enter like Matt or Quinn,
just like our name in the search and then we should come up. But I don't know.
That's a good tip.
Yeah, quick tips.
And we have an episode coming out usually every Tuesday.
Usually if, and that's more so on me than anything else, but yeah, Tuesdays are the
drop day. What's our what's our next episode about?
What's the one that should have been released or what's the one that's going to be released?
What's the one coming out in two days? I think it board games.
Board games, really? Yeah. That's the one that didn't, but I don't know if I'm going to just
push it to this. Wait, so we didn't release one last week?
I know, because I thought you would've posted like Friday or something, I didn't check.
Well, yeah, I don't know.
So, if it misses on Tuesday, should I just release it on whatever remaining day or still stick to Tuesday?
Well, I figure so we missed there something wrong, something wrong.
Oh, no, someone broke a tooth.
You should've got a nose tooth.
Oh, wow, she's just like grabbing it in there.
Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow, wow.
Yeah, that's just like grabbing it. Wow, live on you. Oh, ow, ow, ow.
Yeah, that's crazy.
You don't expect to watch a big split game
and see someone pulling their tooth out.
Wow, I've never seen that before.
That's pretty crazy.
So we didn't post a podcast this last Tuesday,
although we had one ready to go.
Then I learned Matthew about it probably with Thursday.
Yeah.
At that point, I didn't check anymore, but I still didn't get that point. At that point, I didn't, I didn't check anymore,
but I still didn't.
At that point, you assumed that I uploaded it.
I assume that you would then upload it once you found out,
but you did not upload it.
Oh, wow.
I know it sounds like I'm getting the talk again.
So right now, we have, well, no one just
explained for the listeners.
Right now, we have two in our bank.
Yes.
And we're about to record another one today.
We're ahead.
And also behind.
Then theoretically, it's not going to come out
till September 16th
We could we could double post to no one wants that all right
So so so September 2nd or September 3rd. We're looking at board games
September 10th. What are we looking at?
Scams. Yeah scams and quince way of going about them. Yeah, and
September 17th we are TBD, but you'll have to tune in on September 17th.
Wow, you see where he bounced that pitch.
Wow, wow, wow, wow.
He's safe.
Yeah, boy, you should be, you should go back,
find a replay of the Cubs game,
and then find a way to magically sink it up
so you know exactly what we're doing.
That actually happened though.
So Bill Burr has a very famous podcast.
Oh yeah. And he was live recording his show Not Live, but recording his show while he was watching
the Viking Saints playoff game January 2018, which was famous for its ending. Stuff on
Dex touched on. And you can actually, someone went through the time and trouble of syncing up the actual NFL game
with Bill Burst podcast.
And so you can listen to him react to the play live
as it's happening.
That's pretty great.
Which is pretty cool.
I feel like if you have one anchor point,
that's all you really need.
You know what I mean?
Because that's kind of how we record our podcast too. We just line up.
We line up your recordings, my recordings and slapping together.
Damn it.
Kind of stopped swinging at these balls in the dirt.
If that you got to get the runner, so cups, let off with the single bottom of the
eighth, KB then advances the second on a ball in the dirt
Then Karatini you got to get the book to get there bringing a hater, aren't they you got to get the guy from second to third with one out
So then the next day comes up with an opportunity to get a sack fly or something
But they just strike out and that's what frustrates me the most about these cubs is they have so much talent, but they're simple plays like that. They're not saying they're
easy, but like if you're going to be a successful ball-close, you have to execute. At that level of
professionalism, they should know better. Well, they know what they do. They know what they need to do.
They just like are for whatever reason in these small ball games. That's something that I really dislike about this cup scene.
They suck at small ball.
It's all swinging for home runs.
And then when they're on fire, it's like, oh, this cup
seems going places.
And then they go, what we're at 18 innings without scoring a run right now.
That's pretty awful.
That's rough.
It's very rough. Well,
White Noise comes out every Tuesday, unless it doesn't come out. Well, and you just wait
for the next one. If you're looking for a new release and you can't find it in your
kind of PO, you can always air your grievances at the wn pod at gmail.com.
We look for any email right now.
We've gotten some spam.
We've gotten some mostly just spam.
I guess that's kind of what it rounds up to.
But we'd be open for any feedback, thoughts, concerns,
stuff like that.
You can use that as a voice message.
Oh man, don't even get me started.
Voice message would be great.
Yeah, that's the way noise podcast you can always as well reach out to Bean Town Podcast. You might as well just CC. Both. Yeah. Bean Town Podcast
Yahoo! They're coming in. Bean Town. Be an tier to be podcast at Yahoo.com. We'd
love to hear from you. Also mostly get spam in being town. I was on a streak about a year ago
Or maybe even last year I was getting some good like a Nigerian Prince type stuff. It's good
But nothing lately. It's been all quiet. Do you ever follow I think his name's
Edward Vich
What does he do? He's a I don't know if he's a comedian or not, but he basically plays around with the spam emails where he just gives him grief.
I think I know who's a-
I know his last name's Veach, but I don't know his first name.
Is that the guy who's done, who did like the rubber duckies?
Yeah, sir Spam a lot.
Yeah, he's pretty funny.
He's pretty classic.
He uses PowerPoints with his stand up. Yeah. Yeah, no, he's good.
If you are doing like PowerPoints with your standup, that's another, that's next level.
Standup, yeah. Everyone loves a good PowerPoint. Yeah, for sure.
Well, if you're curious, if you liked what you heard on today's episode and you're saying,
where can we get more of Matt? Don't really care about Clip's font, Matt.
White noise is an okay place to start,
but I also talk way too much on that podcast.
Matthew's made lots of guest appearances
on the Bean Town podcast over the past couple of years.
I'm trying to, I don't think I'm the most guest,
I'm not the most tag.
Probably right, they're with my brother, Jack.
So now we're competing at this point.
Yeah, oh man.
But Matthew's been on some classic episodes.
Taxes each year comes on.
We talk taxes, different forms.
Yada, yada, yada, it's fun.
If taxes could be fun, that would be.
Oh, they're very fun.
It's what you get paid to do.
I don't even do taxes. You do your taxes though. I do my own taxes, but I don't
get paid to do that. Well, in a way you do. In a way, yeah.
Matthew came on our live concert series, being tongue plugged
last year, you can actually find the video of that on YouTube. And
it's a spare your ears. Maybe just watch. Yeah, you could watch
it would be it would be pretty good to watch, I think.
Yeah.
Maybe put on some banjovie in the background, mute us,
and just...
Just pretend.
Sink it up.
That's what they could do.
Sink up the...
If our timing was right.
Yeah, it's not.
It's not.
There wasn't.
Matthew also came on our actual weekly episode that week.
And that was a fun one.
That might have been one of our longer episodes.
We went for like an hour, 20 or something.
One of these times we should do a,
because I know you did this around Christmas time,
but you, it was a pretty long.
It supposed to be a 24 hour, 24 hour Christmas.
We could do that again and just keep going.
I don't know.
I probably won't know.
We'll talk about it.
We'll talk about it off air, but
Other appearances you've made when when I'll say you've been on the show on China remember
Definitely good other times
Yeah, I don't know. I don't know if you've just used me for my tax. No, how? No, there's been other times
I just have to go back and think about I know I've been on three times for for sure. At least, I feel it feels like way more than that.
Maybe four.
This might be the fifth.
Could be.
Well, we will do the math.
That's a strike.
Anthony Riser just struck out looking.
Great.
He's standing there like it's still his turn.
There's the head shake, talking to the um...
Shaking has had again. Oh, nope, nope, nope. I really wanted to still his turn. There's the head shake, talking to the um shaking his head again. Oh,
nope, nope, nope, nope. I really wanted to break his bat. Someone's got to get a fire lit under
their ass. We're about to strike our way out of the sitting. Great. Um, okay. Well, if you were
watching this Cubs game, you, you can understand the frustration if not. And I'm for a restaurant.
I'm, I'm, we need to, we're gonna watch the end of this Cubs game
and then take a walk because I'm just like,
I've been sitting on my ass honestly since about nine o'clock.
Where else would you be sitting?
Well, maybe in the recliner.
But still on your ass.
Yeah, but.
Not in the less.
Just a different position.
Yeah.
Yeah, well, we'll be here next week, not Matthew,
but me. Might record an episode in Filly, might not have them decided yet. I'll be back
by Sunday, though. We're at 39 minutes. That's a pretty good place to cut it off. Matt Feedler, any last words for the beeners out there?
I'd like to add something inspiring, but I don't have anything inspiring.
So unfortunately, I'm not going to give you.
There was a little bit of a hope or promise there.
It seemed like you were.
Yeah, so I was excited.
I thought maybe you had a poem or a slow comment.
So there's something that my dad taught me
growing up, kind of a proverb, if you will.
Never spit at a man's face unless his mustache is on fire.
What was that?
No, we were looking for.
Oh, I just took it.
Oh, to the game.
Just struck out three batteries in a row
after getting the lead off guy on.
Yeah, that's all the wise words that I have.
That's about it.
Never spit a man in the face unless his mustache is on fire. Yeah, that's all the wise words that I have. That's about it. Never spit a man in the face unless his mustache
Yeah, it's fair. You ever seen a man's mustache on fire. No, and that's why I've never spit at a man
Is that like a is that like a saying that can be expanded to a deeper non-literal meaning or am I just missing?
I think it's pretty much literal. Okay
What was say say's advice from Mr. Feeder.
Okay, thanks, thanks everyone for listening.
Apologies, this podcast was all over the place.
We prepared a lot and then we just decided to not do it.
I wrote down all my thoughts on a piece of toilet paper and then I used it.
You.
Nice.
Okay, thanks everyone for listening.
I don't forget New Up says the white noise podcast every Tuesday for the most part. Oh, nice. OK, thanks everyone for listening.
I don't forget New Up says the White Noise Podcast every Tuesday
for the most part.
And we'll check in on you next time.
