Today we is talking about season two episode three, badge without honors, what we're going to talk about today. Hot damn. That's a good one, man. This is just about, oh, just about everything. This episode has a woman, it has a fencing match and a gun duel, and a nameless Chinese man, and the shiniest, goddamn silk shirt I ever seen in my damn little. And a pretty foster child, the prettiest foster child. The gal, she's a friend, she, that's how they should always advertise foster kids as pretty. That's right, God damn. That's right, God, but nobody. This. This. And, and the. And, and this. And, and this. And, and this. This. This. This. This. This is. This is. This is. This is. This is. This is. This is. This is. This is. This is. This is. This is. This is. This is. This is. It, this. It is, this. It is, this. It is. It is. this. this. this. this. this. this. this. this. this. this. this. this. this. this. this. this. this. this. this. this. And, this. And, this. And, this. And, this. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It is. It is. It is. It is. It is. It is. It is. It is. It is. It is. It is. It is. It is. It is. It is. It is. It is. It is a this. It is. It is, this is. It is, this is, this is a this is a this is a this is a this. It is a this. It's a this. It's a this. It is a this. It, that's how they should always advertise foster kids as pretty.
Starting point is 00:03:27 That's right, God damn, but nobody wants an ugly foster child. You know, we'll find you a place to bill it, but as long as you're a size one, 1800 style. I agree. Now, why not take a two-year-old and put on full makeup, just cherry-red cheeks, candy, apple lipstick and false high lashes? Yeah. Instagram eight. Yeah, it's a pretty child looking for a place to billet. With four men, at least.
Starting point is 00:04:00 And you will learn with those four men the strict understanding between an evil guy holding you by the shoulders and your adoptive father holding you by the shoulders, as opposed to a close-faced kiss and long hug by your brother. Right, also you could make an argument that the cart rights are not the best paternal figures. For we have never seen this woman before, and does that mean she has been imprisoned in some dark cellar up until this point. Yes that's true we've never seen nor heard of her before but at some point Adam says to her you're the closest thing to a sister I've ever had which is remarkable but
Starting point is 00:04:34 let's speaking of the closest thing to a sister I've ever had let's meet our guest who I've just met for the first time today tod to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to the the today the the today to the the the today the the the the the today the the the tm. the the to to to the the to the to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. th. th. th. th. the. the today. today. the the tell. the tell. tell. tell. the. tell. tell. today. today. today. th. ila Brownstick and Lila you are up but you're here I know nothing I only know that you're here promoting a new TV show all right? Hi babes, here's everyone's guy. My name's Lila Brownstick I'm here to promote my appearance on Slag Mountain. Now that you're really talking because you only just said hello and whatever sounds like you're from some other country. I'm from Southampton, but I've also traveled back and forth a lot to Australia. So I kind of grew up all over the place. What Southampton is in England is in the UK? I'm out of Slag Mountain UK actually.
Starting point is 00:05:15 There's a couple different, what did you say? Slag? I love that. You know what a slag is? is sure it's like a slutty woman oh really I thought it was a runoff from a coal man that's the that's the non slang version all right I know a slag is like a sloppy promiscuous woman and a mountain you know what a mountain is of course I know what a goddamn I know I know what a slag was never heard of a island I go I know I know it's a mountain is a a mountain is the opposite of an island right you know like a to hoot a the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the that is that is I that is I that is I that is I that is that is I that is I that's is I that's is I that's is I that's is I that's is I'm is I'm is I that's is I that's is I that's is I that is I that is I that is is is is is is is is is is is is is is is is is is is is is is is is is is is that is the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the is the opposite of an island? Oh yeah, you know like, love island.
Starting point is 00:05:45 It's like, oh, too hot to handle. It's like they get a bunch of hawk people altogether in like an island. And they basically say if you don't touch each other, we'll give you a bunch of money. This is sort of the opposite. But it's at an altitude. They bring a bunch of virgins and we're trying to see who can become the biggest slag by the end of the show. But we're also, like you said, battling altitude sickness all the time.
Starting point is 00:06:13 Is there like bleachers where you could go and watch this live or anything? I'd just love to see it live. I'd love to see it live. I the, I th. I just love to love to love to love to see what I. I to see. I. I. I to love to see. I to see. I th. I just love to see. I just love to see. I just love to see it live. I just love to see. I just love to see. I just love to see it live. I just love to see it live. I to see. I to see. I to see. I to see. I to see. I to see. I to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to the to the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. I. I. I. I. I just. I just. I just love. I just love. I just love. I just love. I just love. I just love. I just love. I just love. I just love. I just love. I just love. I just love. I just love. I just love. I just love. I just love. I just love. I just love. I just love you mean. Maybe if you need like a, I could be a PA or something like that. Listen, you can absolutely apply for next season. I have no control over there, but I could probably put in a good word. That'd be great. So there's a show, there is a show called Love Island, and it's a show where a bunch of virgins get to try and try not to tou to tou-auche one to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to touch one one one one one one one one one one one one one one one one one one one to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to theirge one one one one one one to to to to to to to to to their their their their their their their their their their their their their thethat have to try to become a big slag.
Starting point is 00:06:45 Love Island I think they're just looking for love. Okay, but on your show it's all about, you come here a virgin and you're going to try and leave a wealthy. And if you, yeah, if you get the slattiest of everyone, you can win like 8 million yen. Is there a volcano at any point does a virgin jump into volcano? You know I'm not sparsee away any spoilers. Oh my god. I gotta get on this.
Starting point is 00:07:11 Look, you come from England and Australia. That's like the beages. They thinks like that. The fatal shore. What's a fatal shore? Or did you say fetal shore? It was where all the sinners were sent to Australia from for anyone who did anything bad went to Australia, this way Australia is so fun!
Starting point is 00:07:30 My dad was a horse doctor so we used to travel from horse to horse and often in you know. Well okay. That fits right in. Now if you're half Australian are you kind of half angel and half devil like kind of thing? Oh yeah, and if you've noticed, you know, you're like, oh what, why is this girl? She's like a proper ten, like why is she a virgin? If you've noticed my eyes haven't focused on anything in the room so far? I wasn't going to say anything. I was gone with two glass eyes. I was gone with two glass eyes. I was I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was th. I was th. I was th. I was th. I was th. I was th. I was th. I was th th th th th th th th th you've you're you've you've you've you're you're you've you've you've you've you've you've you've you've you've you've you've you've you've you've you've you've you've you've you've you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you th. I was th. I was th. I was th. I was th th th th th th tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho thi you're like you're of the womb with two eyes made a glass. Two glass eyes. Holy shit. And so it might be why I was such a virgin and it's definitely why I spoke to all the horses. Wait are you the host of the show or
Starting point is 00:08:13 are you one of the contestants? Oh okay, all right. Could I just get to the bottom of how a woman could be born with two glass eyes? Is that in the same way that an oysterster. th. the o. th. th. the th. th. th. the th. th. th. the th. th. th. th. th. th. the th. thin, th. thin, thin, the, the, the, the, the, the, thin, thin, the, thin, thin, thin, th. th. th. thin, th. thin, th. th. No you're nailing me so far. Yep sure. That's lovely. Can you see what I'm wearing? Oh my god, I can picture it with my glass eyes.
Starting point is 00:09:47 It's a cow neck! A cow neck? It's a cow neck with shoulder pads. That's a lot of, that's lovely, babes. That's a lot of head surrounding. That's like, she's basically wearing football pads. Well, it's a good place to pull your weapon out. You need places to hide weapons I'll tell you what. Babes that's lovely I just hide keys in me I
Starting point is 00:10:10 socket sometimes in the back but I don't hide no weapon. Yeah keys because they can just just put them right in there. That's amazing but you can't really hurt anyone with a key. Have you you so you've started shooting this leg oh yeah they're halfway through they they took they they they they to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to the to the to the to to the the to the to to their to to their to their their their to their to their to their to to to to to their to their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their. their their try. try. try. try. try. to. try. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. They took me off the mountain. You're halfway through? They took you off the mountain all at it. Oh, to come here and be on this show. Yeah, Charlie Honka was supposed to be. He says, he's a virgin because he likes dead people shows like this. But he got food poisoning. Oh, why is he still a virgin you to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to come. Oh, to come. Oh, to come? Oh, to come. Oh, to come, to come, to come, to come, to come, to come, to come, to come, to come, to come, to come, to come, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, and to come, and to come, and to come, and to come, and to come, and to come, and to come, and to come, and to come, and the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the to come. Come here, to come, the to come, come, come, come here, come, come here, come here, come, come, come, come, come, come, come, come, some sort of food poisoning. Oh, why is he still a virgin, you think? I mean, she said.
Starting point is 00:10:49 And this is a question coming from a virgin who's married. Oh yeah, Amy Sleverson reclaimed her virginity. You recondited my husband, I want to be a saint. And so I'm just, I'm getting, getting re-virginized. Which is just involves an outpatient surgery and a strip ma. But it's awesome. They do it at the tanning salon. It's basically like spackling over a picture hanger-in.
Starting point is 00:11:19 I think we should try places. But you should join the island, but we reclaim your virginity and I should just take over your sexy, sinful life you've had....... W. W. W. It. W. It. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I've thi. I'm thi. I'm th. I'm thi, I'm tha, I'm tha, I'm just just, I'm just, tha. And, tha. And, tha. And, tha. tha. tha. tha. tha. tha, I'm tha. the island, but reclaim your virginity and I should just take over your sexy, sinful life you've had. Well, we have had a good time over the years. We'll talk about it in the bathroom later. Oh, wow. That's what you ladies do. So the men on the show is also virgins.
Starting point is 00:11:37 Oh, yes. And the ladies are virgins. About three weeks. I want to ask if you're still a virgin, but it feels like a strange question to ask a person. I've done everything but second base. So I'm just looking forward to trying to figure out how to do second base. Did you skip it?
Starting point is 00:11:54 I think so. I mean, is it some, is it in order? literal sense of the baseball metaphor, you cannot score a run without going on second base. Well, then I'm still a virgin. Oh, right. Interesting. That is how it works. If you don't touch the teats, then you can go from first to third with no problem.
Starting point is 00:12:17 Yeah, but if you then go home, the referee, umpire will say that run doesn't count because you didn't touch second. So in that sense that sense, that sense, that sense, that sense, that sense, that sense, that that that that th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. tho. the tho. the the the the the the the the thoomoomoomoomoomoomoomoomoomoom. the the the the the the the the the the their, their, their, their, their, their, their. their. their. their. their. the the the the the thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. the. the. te. te. te. tea. tea. tea. tea. tea. tea. tea. tea. te. te count because you didn't touch second so in that sense you're still a virgin and we do have a referee at the mountain too there is one there yeah there's a referee but he's got a terrible attitude sickness oh oh oh he got a whistle hands out yellow cards and putting on this he's always blown his whistle and throwing up and passing out it oh no no this is oh the to the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the to to to to to to to the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the mountain in Southampton? Oh, they don't tell us. Oh, you don't even know where you are. I got blindfolded on the way down here, which is ironic. Yeah, I don't need it. But is it tropical? Is it mountainous? What kind of mountain is it?
Starting point is 00:12:52 It's freezing? It's freezing. It's some sort of a tundra climate. altitude sickness and the freezing temperatures. This sounds like it could be like Mount Everest or some shit. It's all cold and high up there. Well, look, if you guys talk to anyone who's representing me and they know, let me know because they won't tell us until the six weeks are up and someone has eight million yen. Starting point is 00:13:32 Yeah, people can watch it on ITV and they can see who gets Randy and who gets sent home. Now, is there anybody on the show named Randy and does that get confusing? Oh my God, that would be so good. I've never seen it, but guess what? I watched it. Oh, you did, you watch this episode.
Starting point is 00:14:12 Yeah, I watched the episode. Oh, that's great. No, but it reminds me of a lot of things that are going on in the show. It's like pretty sexy episode, I'd say, my, oh my. Well, that girl, that was someone's daughter or... Probably. Someone that her parents died as many parents do. And then she was left behind to be raised and held close by the, the Ponderosa man. And, but we have never heard of her before today so it's a little weird and they've married her off to Jason Blair
Starting point is 00:14:50 okay that guy's not her dad no okay that's right that's her nor is the other guy right right her parents did right but they yeah they married her off and so now she's living with Jason Blair down in Virginia City that's sort of like Rosie from Slag Mountain. She grew up in a basement. Really? Yeah, in the same way you guys were saying. Does Rosie have no characteristics?
Starting point is 00:15:11 Yeah. Rosie's pretty much just like a blank slate. Yeah. She's pretty much like a popsicle stick dog. No likes or dislike. Which is crazy because you'd think she'd be so popular with the boys. Yeah. Yeah. All right. Well, hey, you want to talk a little bit about the what was going on when this episode of Bonanza first aired, which was September 24th, 1960, when that was, the number one movie in the country was still goddamn Ben Hurd. I swear to
Starting point is 00:15:39 any any foresight on when that might change. Oh, I could have told you, but I don't have the page open now. But it's, no, Ben Her is probably going to be the number one movie for the entire rest of the 14 years the Bonanza was on the hair. It's every damn week it's Ben Her. The number one country music song was still Alabama by Cowboy Copas. However, there is a change on the number one song on the Billboard Church. Now it is, the Twist by Chubby Checker. Whoa, yeah, you know that song? No, guys. It's very sensual.
Starting point is 00:16:10 Yeah, come on, baby, Let's do the Twelfl. Let's do the Twellain. That's very, did you guys all think Chubby Chubbchak? I mean, you might have thuice, you tha, you tha, you tha, you tha, you tha, you tha, you tha, you tha, you tha, you tha, you tha, you tha, you tha, you know, you know, you tha, you know, you might have that, you know, you might have that, you might have that, you know, you might have that, you that, you that, you that, you that, you that, you that, you that, you that, you that, you that, you that, you that, you that, you that, you, you, you, you, you, you, you that, you that, you that, you that, you that, you that, you that, you that, you that, you that, you tha, you know, you know, tha, tha, tha, tha, tha, that, tho, that, that, that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that, you know, that, you know, you know, thatubby Chase. No. There's a guy on on Slag Mountain named Chubby Chase. Really? Because he's a Chubby Chubby Chaser? Yeah, his name's Chase and he's a Chubby Chubby Chaser. Yeah, yeah, his name's Chubby Chasher. Yeah, his name's and he had a big hit with a chubby Chaser. Oh, man. he's still a virgin Chubbchaser. Well, this this fuh. this f. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the th. th. the th. th. the thu, the thu-chubby. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the their. their. their. their. their. their. their. t. t. t. t. t. t. tie. tie. tie. tie. tie. He's. tube. He's. tube. tube. tube. tube. tube. tube. tube. tube. tube. tube. tube. tube. He's. He's. He's. He's. He's. He's. He had a big hit with the Twist and then a year later he had a big hit with, Uh, Let's Twist again, which was a, uh, sequels. Yeah, it got me thinking are there other songs with sequels? And so I did a little googling about it. There's some, you know Leslie Gore, she said, uh, it's my party and I'll cry if I want to, and then a couple years later she said it's Judy's turned, it's, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, thi, their, their, their, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's their, it's their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, th... Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, theree. Yeah, theree. Yeah, th. Yeah, the. Yeah, theree. Yeah, the. Yeah, theree. Yeah, the. Yeah, theree. Yeah, it real? Yeah, that's real. Because Judy was wearing the ring. I know this one.
Starting point is 00:17:06 Oh, you do. It's my party and she was wearing Johnny's ring. Right. Right. She was wearing a jinnie's ring. the try. to be crying on her birthday? Right. that's right. to be junton. the first place. thrown at her her party because Judy has hooked up with Johnny as she learns at her very own goddamn party. But now it's Judy's turn to crack because she got Johnny back. And it's heavily implied that she has strangled Judy. But yes, it's her turn to cry. Here's something you may not have known.
Starting point is 00:17:40 Chuck Berry wrote 32 songs about Johnny Be Good. Shit! that's a lot. He covered it. He, yeah, I would say the topic has been covered. Full coverage. There's not allowed to be any more songs on it. No, he's got to reboot those songs if he wants to do it again. Oh, he's got to start over from the game.
Starting point is 00:18:01 Gotta re-envision the canon. What are some songs that could use sequels like, uh, BB Kings, The Thrill is Gone, he should do The Thrill is Back. Yeah, what else? Um, hmm. Well, I've got one for you that. I wonder if you've heard of it. I never had.
Starting point is 00:18:17 One of my favorite songs in the whole wild world is the devil wents band. Did you know that in 1993, they made a new song called Devil Comes Back to Georgia. Come on, he killed the devil, didn't he? No, he didn't kill him. He just got his gold violin and sent him back to hell, but the devil came back and tempted him again into a violin showdown. Is that what happens when you meet the devil? Is that what you have to win it from him in a violin off. But is that only if you yourself are a fiddle player like maybe the devil confronts you with what you think your best at? So for you it might be virginity. Right, right, right. Like if the devil and I had to do like a big virginity contest. Right. Yeah, I would already lose.
Starting point is 00:18:59 I would already lose. I just skipped sick in face in. Nah, I'd actually probably win over the devil. He's very good at bad things. Yeah, they say he has a barbed penis. What's that ca? Charlie Daniels? Charlie Daniels and the devil. This song, Devil comes back to Georgia is mostly sung by Johnny Cash. Mostly sings it. And who is it?
Starting point is 00:19:25 Oh, I didn't write it down. Is it Travis Tritt is a, or somebody, one of them guys, is the fella. But it's got a line here where the guy, our hero says, in truth, I haven't played much since the baby came in June. But give me half a minute, and I'll get this fiddle back in two. Wait a minute. Okay, is Charlie Daniels even involved in this? He is? He's the one with the Bob's penis. Yeah, that's my understanding, yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:50 All right. What, Charlie, it portrays the devil in the video, and I believe he also opens his mouth in the song. I don't know. But this is later days and Maybe he wouldn't. I don't know. But you know it just finds our hero in a different phase of life. He's an old new man, he's fathered now, he's moving out, doesn't have time for the fiddle. And it's a lot of it is about is he's gonna practice enough to take on the devil? That's a big question. You have to have something to do during retirement. Yes. That's why my husband and I started a kickstarter.
Starting point is 00:20:26 Oh really? Yeah, it's for elegant, holy accidents. It's Christian murderous removal of life without sin. So it's themed in this episode, um, just Christian kills without the sloppy rage and malice. But are you talking like contract kills? Contract kills. And we don't know what we're doing. So if you send us $5, you'll get a sticker, which is one of our address labels that we got from the Union Mission.
Starting point is 00:20:59 If you send us $25, I'll tweet your name and address. And it's $100 to $1,000, oh, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, the, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, the, to, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, the,. And it's $100 to $1,000. Oh, well, you'll get an elegant Christian kill on purpose. But without passion, it's not gonna be without any, it's reasoned murder. Yeah, in this episode, there's a fellow who believes in the beauty of killing, but not without, take the emotion out of it. It's kind of a big thing. And so, and you guys are inspired by that to start killing people, but with no passion?
Starting point is 00:21:33 Yes, from a distance. Well, she is an entrepreneur, small business woman. With a drop, you know, we do a drop ship, there are no howls of triumph, you won't hear any laughing. We just drop a deadly anvil on your head from a computerized drone. That's good, that's the way I want to go out. You're selling me on it. Because, you know, to be killed but not have somebody standing over you cackling at you would be a treat. Oh yeah, or that they did it for a real reason. Yeah, you. Yeah, you. Yeah, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you. Yeah, you, you, you, you, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, to be killed but not have somebody standing over you cackling at you would be a treat. Oh yeah, or that they did it for a real reason. Yeah, there's a strategic purpose.
Starting point is 00:22:10 I feel like it would take all the negativity out of it. Right. That's right. It's not personal. Detached with love. Yeah. How about how? How? to your word for it? Well, Christianity, one of the rules is thou shal not kill, but that is not, killing is different for murder.
Starting point is 00:22:31 In the Bible, if you murder someone who is an enemy, that's okay. Oh, I see. It's all about intent. If it's a holy accident, it's, you're good. It happens. It certainly does. Well, okay, another thing, celebrity birthdays, the only celebrity birthday I could find from September 24, 1960 was a fella by the name of Philippe Lequa, like the water, the cans of water,
Starting point is 00:23:04 Laquay. And this fella, to find out anything about him, the only web page I could find out about him was in the ancient language of Dutch. And I had to have a Dutchman over, paying $200 to translate this web page. But I think it was worth it. Here we go. Philippe Lacroir. Did you know that they had criminals in the Belgium? They do. Wow, that's because they have so too many fries. Maybe that's a problem, all that fried food. Waffles. Well, they had a gang called the Hamers Gang. And Philippe Lequa was the mastermind. And they did a lot of armed robberies. And a lot of the time people got killed. They got shot or the wafafafafafafafafaf the the they. Well. Well the their their their their their their they were they were their they were they were they were their they were their they were they were they were they were they had they had they had they had their their their their they had they had they had they had they had they had they had they had they had they had they had they were. Well. Well. Well. Well. Well. Well. Well. Well. Well. Well. Well. Well. Well. They were. They were. They were. They were. They were. They were. They were. They were. They were. They were. They were. They were. They were. They were. They were. They were. They were. They were. They were. They were their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their the time people got killed they got shot or they got exploded and and then one of them went in
Starting point is 00:23:48 jail and the rest of them broke him out of jail this is something you can do in Belgium you can break them in out of jail this is the 1980s. Sorry that goes to celebrity. He's a celebrity. Yeah well here's why their most famous crime they kidnapped they they kidnapped. They're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their most their most their most their most their most their most their most their most their most their most their most theprime minister and they got of Belgium? Of Belgium? And they got a one and a half million dollars in 1989 for the ransom. They paid the ransom? They paid the ransom. They got away.
Starting point is 00:24:14 First mistake. Yeah, right. That's a solid business you could do as well. That is pretty good because you get the money up front and then you can, you know, kind of have a little time to breathe and make a business plan. Wait, excuse me, so you're going to ask for a ransom before you kidnap the person? Yes. That's a good idea. That's great.
Starting point is 00:24:35 You don't even have to do any of the work. You don't even have to commit the crime. Well, and there's the surprise to the crowd the crowd the crowd the crowd the crowd the crowd the crowd the crowd the crowd the crowd the crowd the crowd crowd the crowd the crowd crowd crowd crowd the crowd crowd crowd crowd the crowd crowd crowd crowd the crowd crowd the crowd crowd crowd crowd crowd crowd the crowd crowd the crowd crowd crowd the crowd crowd the crowd the crowd the crowd the crowd the crowd crowd crowd crowd the crowd the crowd the crowd the crowd the crowd the crowd. That's their. That's. to to to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to to their. their. their. That's. their. their. their. That's. their. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the the th. th. the th. the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. that. th. th. that. even have to commit the crime. Well, and there's the surprise to the crowdfunding of who we kidnapped. Oh, oh, you let people vote, you could let... Wow, this is the only prime minister's? Or is it any royalty or is it anyone? This is an idea in motion that is just coming together as a way you speak. So you're gonna sit up like a go fund me. Everybody's gonna crowd fund a kidnapping because it's not free to kidnap somebody.
Starting point is 00:25:10 You gotta have your costumes and you gotta have a getaway car and all that business. And then those people can also determine who you're gonna kidnap. That's right. Is the crowdfunding low of the ransom, is the ransom different a separate charge? Oh I haven't thought it through that far. It's all right. I help you out. Okay. Crowdfunding is for kidnapping expenses and provisions for the hospital. Okay good. Yes. You get that first, then you ask ransom from the friends of the kidnappee.
Starting point is 00:25:44 Once they find out who's been kidnapped. Exactly. Or do you do the ransom before you kidnap the person? Yes, you do. Okay. So you say to the family of, I don't know, who's got money, Elton John, right? You say to his family, we're going to kidnap, Elton John and we, and if you think we don't have the resources to do it, we've raised the money the money the money the money, the the the the the they they they they they they their their their their their their, we have their, we go, we go, we go, we've got their, their, their, tho, tho, thi. thi. thi. their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their. to, their. their. to, their. to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, th.... to, to, to, thi. thi. thi. their, their, their, their, their. their, to, to, to, too. too. toooooooooome. toooooooome. their, their. their. too. toe. toe. their, or, or, to kidnap Elton John and we and if you think we don't have the resources to do it we've raised the money to have a solid plan. We went over our goal. In record time. Yeah record. We were featured on the home page of Go Fund Me.
Starting point is 00:26:14 In 20 minutes. Yeah. Everyone wants. Everyone wants El to be kidnapped. Yeah. We got so far that they hit the bonus top tier where we will also kidnap Bernie Taupin. Oh man, old man, old man, and make them right so they'll go ahead and give you the ransom right away
Starting point is 00:26:34 because they know this is a solid plan, it's gonna happen. And then what, you don't even have due. You don't even have due. A lot of this crime. And the crime. the crime. the crime. their. their. their. their. their. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. th. And to th. And to th. And th. And to to to to to to to th. And to to to to to to th. And to th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And to, and to, and th. And to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, thi. And, thi. And, thin, thooooo. And, to to to to to to to to to to to thooooooooome. And, and make, and make, and make, and make th. And, a crime. And then Elton John is so affected by the experience, he does a third version of a candle in the wind or your song, whatever it was. But to house. Yes, to house music? Yes, from what I understand it's a little thumping. Yes. House. Yeah, sexy music. Yeah, it's like, yeah, it's like 2010 sexy. Yeah, thusexy. That's 12 years old sexy. That's still pretty good. Age to perfection. Yeah. Vintage sexy. Yeah. Like pretty faster try out. The last thing I want to tell you about Philippe Lequa by the way. They did, him and his buddies did get caught and they all got sent to the jail for this kidnapping thing after they'd done it and got the money. But they. But they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they. they. they they. they their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. And they, but they escaped from that jail.
Starting point is 00:27:25 And part of the escape was that they kidnapped the warden and they tied him to the windshield of their getaway car to act as a human shield. And it worked. I bet it would. He was a human shield. . He was a human shield. I don't know how you see well enough to drive, but nobody's going to take a shot at a car with the warden tied to the windshield. That's what my husband does with me when he says something ignorant.
Starting point is 00:27:50 He puts me in front of him and says, whops? Because he says a lot of things that are ignorant. Your husband does? Yeah, he's been canceled so many times. Oh, man, just by you or by others? No, by others. Oh, within our community, he can barely go out. But I just, I always stand in front of him and I say,
Starting point is 00:28:13 take a shot at me. You're a human cancellation shield. That's a business. Damn. That's another one, yeah. You can see with a fellow on your windshield because it's a type of hearsing, maybe you know something about this, Lila. You don't need to see because the fellow on the windshield will tell you. Turn right, turn left, that's it.
Starting point is 00:28:32 It's like you can develop like an ecolocation. Yeah, like a bat. Okay, that's good. That's good. Because, because it's, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, the, the the, the the the the the the the the the the, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, the, the, because, the, the, because, because, because, the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th.. the the. the the. the. the. like, you're headed for a tree. You could say he's even more invested in the new art. Exactly. Wait, there's one more thing I want to tell you about, Philippe Lacroir, which is that he was sentenced to death in 1994 and released in 2004 and he's been working as a teacher and he's been working as a teaching kidnapping. Oh no. Because that's what he should be teaching. But like literal kids napping.
Starting point is 00:29:05 He's teaching pre-school. Yeah, he's teaching kids how to take it out. That would be full circle. That would be like the whole sequel song. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Is this the biggest ever reversal of someone who was not wrongfully convicted and sentenced rightfully to death. And then 10 years later, they said, well, never mind.
Starting point is 00:29:27 Give them a class full of students. He could teach a class. We've got a teacher shortage here in Belgium. Yeah. Hi, children. Welcome to how to get out of death row. I'm Philippe Lequa. All right, there's something I won't tell you also about September 24th, 1960. I wonder if you guys have ever seen this before. It's the, it's truly the stuff of nightmares.
Starting point is 00:29:47 Okay, on that day, earlier that day, so that night, this episode of Bonanza aired. Earlier that day, the Howdy Duty show aired its final episode. After 13 years and 2, 343 episodes. Next podcast. Pretty good. We got the show ended and it ended. Howdy do it? The little puppet fella, Marionette, he said goodbye forever. Buffalo Bob Smith he said goodbye forever. Yeah, well they do it on camera. Signing off on camera. They killed themselves on camera. Oh my god. No, no, no, no, it's not that bad. Okay, explain it right. We had someone do that. Really on your show? Well the first referee killed himself. We had someone do that. Really on your show? Well, the first ref though, not a contestant. Oh, the first referee killed himself on camera.
Starting point is 00:30:28 Okay. They had a clown on that show, clown by the name Clarabel. Yeah, right. Freaky looking clown. He never spoke. He only was, he'd pantomime and he'd honk his horned. Oh no, that's a sound of depression. Those horn honkins specifically? Well, I didn't know that. Have you not seen anyone experiencing mental illness? I guess I haven't. I've never... I've never seen a depressed person walking around with a bicycle horn like that, but I... I guess it happens. But, uh, okay... Well, here in the very, very, horn like that but I guess it happens but okay well here in the very very very final moment of the Howdy Duty Show
Starting point is 00:31:12 I think I'll go ahead and spoil what's going to happen. Clarebell speaks for the first time for the first time and I'm gonna show it to you and I'll tell you right now you will have at least three or four nightmares. Here we go. This is the very, very end of the Howdy Duty Show. Well, Clarabel, kids. Tell me, are you ready for the big surprise? You are. All right, Clarabel, tell me now, what is the surprise? Please, quick. What is it? What? What? You mean? You can you you you you you you you you you can you can you can you can you can you can you can you can you can, you can, you can, you can, you can, you can, you can, you can, you can, you can, you can, you can, you can, you can, you can, you can, you? the the the the the the th? th? th? the surprise? Please, quick, what is it? What? What? What? You mean, you can talk?
Starting point is 00:31:50 Oh, golly, I don't believe it. You can talk. Well, Clarabel, this is your last chance. Now, Clarabel, if you can talk, prove it. Let's hear you say something. Oh, oh God. Goodbye, kids. Oh my God. Goodbye, kids.
Starting point is 00:32:16 Oh my God. That's it! That was the end of the show! And it cuts away before he kills himself? Yeah! That was jarring, wasn't it? That music, what you didn't see, folks, I highly encourage you to find this on YouTube. Oh, yeah, Tommy Chokes, I didn't see it. Oh, that's what's what? I forgot. The camera, what do they call it?
Starting point is 00:32:39 What do they call it? straight in, straight into the face of Clarabel as this sort of drum-rolled, symbol, creepy thing happens, and then it zeros right, and his mouth kind of makes his sputtery, sputtery movements, and then he says, he says, that creepy goodbye kids, and it couldn't be closer on his face. It could be worth mentioning too that Clarabel is not your typical clown in that Clarebell does not have a black, face, he is a fleshy-colored face with white eyes. It's like an Eddie Peppertone, but with red cheeks. Yeah. I did not expect a gender on Clarabel. Oh yes I should have mentioned that.
Starting point is 00:33:19 Clarabel is a dude. He's a scary dude. Yeah, that's right. I don't know how that came up. That's appointment television. As in, you better make an appointment with your therapist after seeing. So anyways, I think that's important context. When people tuned in on this particular night to watch this episode of Bonanza. They were still recovering from about 10 hours before seeing that thing on Claribel show. Okay, now you want to get into some fun facts about people on this episode of Bonanza? You know I do. Oh boy, oh boy. All right, well this episode features Dan Doria as Deputy U.S. Marshal Eskith and he was in wonderful movies like Johnny Stool Pigeon and Manhandled in the Great Flamarian.
Starting point is 00:34:11 The Great Flamarian? What is that a name of a person? I believe he's a magician the great Flamarian? Okay, all right. I don't know. He was also China Smith in the television program called China Smith. He's a soldier of fortune, a con artist who solves problems. Now, but here's a I found a fabulous quote from him that was a good thing to keep in mind when you watch this episode. He was talking about becoming an actor and he says, I used my past life experiences to motivate me as I thought about some of the people I hated in my early as well as later life. This is how he goes about playing a villain. It says, the one I used when I had to slap a woman around a woman was easy. I was slapping the overbearing teacher who would fail you in their holier than
Starting point is 00:34:55 thou class and enjoy it. And sure enough he has to slap around a woman in this episode of Bonanza. It sounds. that that that that that that that that that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's th. thi thus. thus. th. that's to to to to to to to to th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi is is is is is is is thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi is thi is thi is the is the is the. the. thea. that's is thea. thea. thea. It's is the. the. the. It's is thi. It sounds like something that came up a lot. Yeah. In Dan Dury's career. And that's a past life when he was slapped around by a teacher? Not a past, his own life. Okay. Yeah, I believe. It sounds like a past life. No, that's what I understand. Oh, maybe you're right.
Starting point is 00:35:16 I used my past lives experiences. Yeah, I can't tell. Well, domestic violence is really coming back and vote. It's, some people say it's hotter than ever. Isn't it? I heard that no, statistically it's up. I've heard people are doing it now and they're not even upset. They're dispassionate like that killing. They're just doing it because it's hot. Yeah. That's right. That's th. I. I. I. I. Well. Well. Well. Well. Well. Well. Well. I. Well. Well. I. I. Well. I. I. Well. th. Well. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. They're dispassionate like that killing. They're just doing it because it's hot. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:48 That's right. They're doing it because it's the right thing to do in their eyes, not because they like it. Right. Oh, well, that's been the case for a long time. Also in this episode was Christine White. She played Marriott Blair, Marriott, right? Marriott Blaine. Marionette Blaine. She dated James Dean for three years.
Starting point is 00:36:14 She met him. She was the typist of James Dean's agent. And here's a little fun fact I found about her. Apparently, she and Joanne Woodward used to go up for a lot of the same roles. And Christine White would beat her out all the time. Oh, you're kidding me. No. It's true.
Starting point is 00:36:30 Whoa, maybe he's thrown some shady Joanne Woodward, man. Well, check this out. Speaking to throwing shade, author Gore Vidal noted in his memoir poly Plymphysist, that Christine White almost invariably got the television parts that my friend Joanne Woodward wanted. When Joanne received the Academy Award in 1957, I wired her. Where is Christine White tonight? Oh, what a couple of bitches. Yeah, no kidding.
Starting point is 00:36:59 No kidding. Yeah. Gorvedale. Yeah, badale. That wasn't nice. And he, by the way, if you're wondering, she played the wife of William Shatner in the Twilight Zone episode where the Grimlan is on the wing of the plane. Oh, yeah, sure. So that's something Joanne Woodward wanted and complained to Gorbindal.
Starting point is 00:37:19 I wanted to be sitting next to William Shatner when they freaked the they freaked they freaked they freaked they freaked they freaked they freaked they freaked they freaked the they freaked, when the they freaked, when the they freaked, when the freaked out about a gremlin on the wing of the plane. Anyway, also in this episode was James Hong. Yes. The fantastic actor James Hong who... Still going today. He is 93 years old. He was just in everybody, everything everywhere all it wants. That's correct. I know. I just saw him interviewed on CBS Sunday morning and he still got a, he's a just whip smart, Cracker Jack funny fella. Well, let's try and get him on this show. I tell you why, because it is mysterious what happens to his character on this show. Yeah, and mysterious what happened to Hop Sing?
Starting point is 00:37:55 Okay, here's something you don't know because you didn't watch the show before. They've at the Ponderosa, or as he calls it, Pondylosa, they have a Chinese cook, name of Hop Singh, who last season he introduces to his cousins who are numbered one through seven. Don't have names. Our given names, would you have to realize that was probably written by a white writer? You know, I don't know. Who who knows it's hard to say. Oh I think it was. I have done some reading. Oh dear don't do that. Well so now in this episode cousin number one played by James Hong who did appear in that earlier episode as
Starting point is 00:38:41 cousin number one is there and they say hop sin is gone back to Hong Kong and he persuaded me to hire this guy as his replacement but then here's what happens because I saw that I said well that's it hops sing is gone being replaced by James Hong this is the last episode ever the James Hong is in he never comes back and hops comes a reason yeah you think he didn't even get a name he didn't see him as a as as a as as a as as as as as as as as the the the the the the the the th as a the the the th as a the the the th as a th as a the the th as a the th for as a the the to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the their their their name. It was a, they didn't see him as a full character and a human being. He should have killed them without feeling. You're probably right. Well he spills tea on their house guests and Ben Cartwright says, oh for heaven's sake cousin number one, can't you do anything right?
Starting point is 00:39:23 Can you imagine that? It's not even his cousin. I know. That's a huge statement. You do anything right? I mean I spilled tea on people all the time. Really? Yeah, and you could do things right. Oh, I can do some things right. Apparently I did the third base right. Apparently I've climbed up the mountain right. Apparently I spoke horses right. You know what? This is where it came to mind that I should start a new life coaching business, which is not just life coaching, but life editing. Where you take parts of your story, you just cut them out of your story. When you lose interest in your own narrative and you have too many people,
Starting point is 00:40:06 too many plot points, and the red herring is in no way utilized after it's been introduced into your already complicated plot, you don't let go, let go of cousin number one. Get rid of your friend who lives in Oregon, who you met on the Disney cruise and has pancreatic cancer now. You don't have time. It's only an hour show. You've got enough drama.
Starting point is 00:40:32 What with the Murphy gang? Oh, the Murdoch gang? The Murdoch gang? Yeah, I know. There's a lot going on in this episode. He was sorry many white guys who looked the same and he had different names. Oh yeah, well that's a problem for first-time viewers of the show. It was sorry many and it was sorry I wanted to tell them man-one, man two, man three, man-four. Well with that, how are they...
Starting point is 00:40:56 How are they related to somebody else who's not in the episode? If you just call a man one, should be a niece number one or, you know. Do we know what happens to why Hobsing comes back? Well, we're gonna find out season two, episode 22. Are you sure? I think he has for a race. He said, he never, you never say no without a number.
Starting point is 00:41:20 If you, you throw out a number, like I said to my husband, I says, we throw out a number and then, you know, and then walk away. Is this when he proposed? What do you mean? Yeah. I said, I want 25 grand and I knew he didn't have it, and then I walked away. And he came up with it. Turns out anyone can get, put together 25 grand when they have their mind to it, walk to walk to it, you, you, you, to walk to it, you, to walk to it, their, and their, and their, and their, and walk their, and their, and their, and their, and their, and their, and their, and their, and their, and their, and their, you have their, and their, and their, and their, and their, and their, and their, and their, and their, and their, and their, and their, and their, and then, and then, and then, and then, and their, and their, and their, and their, and their, their, their their their their their their their their their their away. And he came up with it. Turns out anyone can get put together 25 grand when they have their mind to it.
Starting point is 00:41:50 I didn't know that story about how you guys got married. That's beautiful. It's a cute story. That is beautiful. It's really cute. It's a meat cute. Yeah. And now you, once you get married, that did is yours yours to that 25 grand if you borrowed it is it's 50-50 in California. Uh-huh, okay. No matter what kind of prenuptial agreement thing you cite it doesn't matter it's all
Starting point is 00:42:14 hafty half the oh good stuff just heads up everybody It doesn't matter the prenupt. It doesn't matter the prenupt. No, it Doesn't that? No, it does not matter at all. Isn't that something? Isn't it exciting? What world? Does anyone know the yen to British pound conversion? Oh no, yeah, I've noticed that. You said that the prize on Slack Mountain is in?
Starting point is 00:42:39 Eight million yen. Is this Japanese? Yeah. and you don't know how much that is in the pound sterling. Okay. I can look, you know what, I'm gonna do you a big favor because I got my computer. Because I've been competing like it's 8 million pounds but I know it's going to be less in there. I even have six million. Are we the first podcast that you've done in order to promote your television program? Yeah, and it wasn't even going to be me. It was going to be the guy to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be the to be to be to be the to be the to be the to be to be the to be to be the the the to be the thoomomomomomomeating. I'm going thoome. I'm going thoomeating. I'm so happy to be here. I'm so happy to smell all of you guys. Okay I'm gonna put in eight million Japanese yen. How many zeros in my mom can put six zeros? One two, three, four, five, six. That is, oh, it's about, oh. Well, it's just under 50,000 pounds.
Starting point is 00:43:23 Oh, sorry. Look at it this way. You could propose to Amy twice. I could surprise you. Yeah. Yeah. Listen, I don't want to go on that mountain. You don't want to go on that mountain?
Starting point is 00:43:35 No. I'm done slagging. You've had enough slagging. Oh, I've had so many things in all of my holes. Oh, oh dear. What's the weirdest thing? Goodness, well, oh my gosh, I could tell you a story about my husband's axe. But- X or axe? Axe?
Starting point is 00:43:58 Aks. Actually, it's me. He always likes to store his tools with the handle up. Oh, okay. I think I know what you mean. I certainly do. Yeah, well, you'll tell us that story later, maybe. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:11 Right after we watch Claire Bell say goodbye and you can tuck us in with that story, how about it? Beautiful. How long have we been at this now, by the way? Because we do have... . We'll, we'll, we'll, we'll, the the the the to, we'll, we'll, the, we'll, the, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, the, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th. th. th. to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, th. Yeah, I suppose we should get to we'll get to the episode more than enough time 16 minutes okay all that happens sorry what there's so much that happens this episode people fence they run around I know it's crazy Academy award winner Helly Berry one touch without a robot is all a text
Starting point is 00:44:44 say it never let go One touch without a robot is all in text. Say it. Never let go. We're the world now. Never let go. In the theater September 20th. Well, the episode begins on the set, but it's outside, and it's Adam is riding his horse. He gets shot at it, but we understand that the people that shot Adam didn't mean to shoot him, right? They wanted to shoot somebody else.
Starting point is 00:45:07 And then the, but then they come out and they get shot by somebody else. An unseen man shoots these two men which shot at him. So an end. Yeah, now Adam is like, hey, who did that? Who are you? I'm a friend. And then he comes out and and Adam says, well you sure are a feather-footed friend, which that's a good expression. Fether-footed. What does that mean? You're a bird? No, like you can't hear you come with a light-footed. Yeah. Like, it's a scary type of friend I have. A friend you can't see coming. A friend you better open to friends. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Especially when you've you you. you. you. you. you. you you you you th. th th that th th th that that th. th that th th th th that th. th. that that that that that that that that's that's that's that's that's th. that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's th. Starting point is 00:45:46 He's a deputy, U.S. Deputy Marshal Gerald S. Kithin. He just killed two of the Clevenger brothers, having killed a third one in an earlier time. And you get a feeling from him right away that he enjoys to kill people. He's scivy. Yeah, even though he says he does it without any heat in his his loins, it clearly he's excited. It's his big thing about himself that he says you cannot kill with emotion. Don't get emotion involved in your killings, but boy he seems to like it. I tell you what, God, hold on, excuse me. What happened? Are you everything all right? Yeah, I just knocked over my guitar. Well, I like your guitar holder.
Starting point is 00:46:25 It looks like it's a rowing machine. Now we're back at the Ponderosa and Ben, Adam has brought Eskith back to the Ponderosa and turns out they know the Clevenger's very well. They know this family, but nobody seems too upset that two of them have been shot. They're tough guys or whatever but and then we have a strange scene where there's these two little fencing swords to call them Mippas and a little Joe is a fair hand with an epa and well what's a Fisketh who's real fancy talker he's got lots of fancy words and you know Esquith is a Jewish name is it so he so he like he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he the he he the he the he the he the the th is th is the th is th is th is th is th is th is th is th is a th is a thus. Starting point is 00:47:06 prophet in a shiny silky shirt. And they have a fencing match between the two of. The fencing match is, okay, here's my question. All right. Is that what it's like for you guys to watch lesbian porn? Oh, because that was sort of the vibe I got. It was a real turn on to. It was like, are these two little silly boys with the, making clanky noises? I assume they're hopping around. There's not nearly that much clanking and lesbian part. Yeah, I'm learning something new the day. No, I mean, if you're doing it right there is.
Starting point is 00:47:40 There's more of a section, isn't it? Yeah, like a like a very, like a very, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th't it? Yeah, it's a vacuum. Yeah, it's a very different soundscape. That's what they told us the church. It's a transferral of vacuum essentially. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's quite beautiful. Yeah. Now do you have someone describing the sights to you when you watch? Okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. So you understand what it looks like. Yeah, it's my mom. Oh, your mom, so she sits there, gives you the blow-by-blows. Yeah, she's so loud. Okay. But did she describe it to you as sensual like a lesbian-caps? Oh, yeah, she said, this is just she says the skills and rhythms of disciplined violence have a beauty But he blames emotion for all the faults of man I bet he's a great love maker. Oh, yes, I'm sure he is Pure technique. Well, he says he's here looking for an old friend by name of Jason Blaine, not the magician And then we find out Jason Blaine is married to Marriott who was the essentially the adopted child of the car rights rights rights rights rights rights rights rights rights rights rights rights rights rights rights rights rights rights rights rights rights rights rights rights rights rights rights rights rights rights rights rights rights rights rights rights rights rights???? that? that? th right? th rights. the that? th rights. th rights. th rights. the that. th right. the th. the th. th. th. the the the th. the he he their their their their their. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. Starting point is 00:48:46 child of the cart rights that never existed before. And uh, but Adam's got a bad feeling about Eskith, but Eskith says, oh good, thank you for telling me exactly where I can find Jason Blair. I'm gonna go there tomorrow and find him. And this is where I would say, as your life coach, if you told me this about this, this say, stop there! Cut off everybody else. No more people. Who's talking? You're saying if Eskith is telling? I'm just, no, no, just a description of what's going on in your life. Oh, I see. There's that much happening. I say, stop work, you've got to cut out something. Because there is too much going on. I say, stop work, you gotta cut out something. Because there is too much going on.
Starting point is 00:49:28 There's a lot going on already. This fella, he is a marshal from Sacramento and or San Francisco. And he's killed these brothers. He's looking for their father. He's looking for a mineralogist, a sair who's married to their daughter. Holy Mac. You've already made more sense to their daughter. Holy Mac. You've already made more sense of it than I could when I was. Walsh, shit. I didn't know any of those things that just said?
Starting point is 00:49:51 No. Well, I do take Copa's notes. So now we got Jason, oh well, when we go to Virginia City, still, to this day there is a Native American man fighting over a jug of something with another man in the street and the daytime establishing shot of Virginia City. It's beautiful. Two of them have been fighting over this jug for going on two years now but every time you see an establishing shot of Virginia City these two are at it. That reminds me of the little belly goat on the top of the peak of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad roller coaster where he's got perpetually a lit stick of dynamite in his mouth. How are you the thing never goes off? Never goes off? Yeah. Every
Starting point is 00:50:31 damn time you go up there huh? Maybe that's within the jug. Dynamine A lit stick of dynamite that never goes off. Why you got me talking like that? Damn it's kitchen. Well now Eskith goes calls a visit upon Jason Blair's house, Blair Blaine, and it's, and you can tell he's up to something no good, and then he meets his wife, and he, he makes it clear, as clear as he can, that he's a creep. He just, he grabs her by the arms and he, the stairs are in the eyes, and he just, he might as well say to her, I am a creep a creep I creep I creep I creep I creep I creep I creep I am a creep I am a creep I am I am I am I am I am I am I am a creep I am I am a creep I am I am a creep I am a creep. I am a creep. I am a creep. I am a creep. I am a creep. I am a creep. I am a creep. I am as well say to her, I am a creep with bad intent. But she does, for, you know, fairness, she does get touched in the same way by both her brother and her adoptive father. Okay. Yeah, there is some light holding of her body at a close range.
Starting point is 00:51:22 It's significantly, it's very, the same. Yeah, well, it's very the same yeah well it's just standards of the time I guess you hold a woman she seems to crack on with everybody yeah she they're like all very the grafting and she's just cracking on and cracking on yes and she's cracking on she's cracking on with everybody which I'm loving out for her it's early dice I didn't catch all that but I agree she's cracking on but anyway she invites him in of course after he makes clear how creepy he is and and then what may I ask oh yes he would like to see he finds a pearl necklace and says may I see them on you? Well of course and what are you going to do?
Starting point is 00:52:02 Well absolutely sure and I'll turn around while you drape your arms around me and put a pearl necklace on me because you're curious to see how it looks on my neck. No problem. Then what else? So he explains to Marriott, is that what happens? Oh, no, Jason comes home. And we learn, okay, Esketh has to bring Jason back to I really don't know if it was San Francisco or Sacramento. I think it started to San Francisco and turned into Sacramento. Doesn't matter. He's got to take him back there
Starting point is 00:52:33 because he is a witness and a proceeding against some bad guys and their likelihood is that Jason is going to be killed for doing the thing he must do which is testify against these bad guys. I just want to say listening to you figure this out is more exciting than watching the episode. And I love Bonanza. But there are more risks involved with you trying to recall this. The stakes are higher because we only have a few more. There's a little more willier woony, and I appreciate that.
Starting point is 00:53:08 Big time. I don't think it's going to come to a conclusion. Oh, it may not. Did it? Oh, Lord. So, okay. So, Jason and Marriott decide to go anyway. He looks like an elbiter.
Starting point is 00:53:24 They're going to go anyway. He's a nail biter. They're going to escape, they're going to run away, and get away from the obligation of him going back west to testify in this case. But then Iskith walks in on Jason packing, he says, going somewhere, my dear Jason, he's a real fancy pants. And it turns out, yeah, he's tracked him a long time, and he's a marshal, so he's got all the extradition papers to get him out of the divided territory back to California. And he's gonna do it, and it sounds like he wants to kill the Clevenger father to Gideon Clevenger he wants to kill. Which wasn't a necessary character to point in. Gideon Clevenger? Did not need it. No. Even for the handkerchief, the handkerchief
Starting point is 00:54:07 shot. Yeah, I guess. I had to set it up. And Jason says, oh why don't you get it over with? I know you just want to kill me and Eskits comes out and says I will kill you. That's what I came here for. But and I intend to spend much more time with your wife he says. Fives I love an honest men, like a mann't th. th. to to th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. I'm th. I'm th. Those men on Slag Mountain should remember that well. I know, just be more straightforward. Yeah, yeah. So now Adam goes and talks to Mary it and she says, oh, everything's fine, blah, but, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th. thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, I thin, I thin, I thin, I thin, I thin, I'm thin, I the the the the the the the the thin, I the the the the the the the, I the, I the the the th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:45 She can't lie to him. And Adam says, that's more like it. He likes it when she breaks down and cries. I can't believe these cartr-rower boys ain't never been married. Very strange. Tender touches every one of them. But he's, he's, I've got a plan. We're going to go to talk to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to the judge the judge the judge the judge the judge the judge the judge the judge the judge the judge to to the judge. We're gonna say to the judge, your husband Jason can tie out a deposition in the case
Starting point is 00:55:09 so he don't have to travel there and put himself at risk to testify. We're gonna do right from here he's gonna do it. Oh brother, how far? Good question. You okay. the state, how far? Good question. the state. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. he he he he he he he he he. th. he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he can can can can can can can can can can can can can can can can can can can can can can can can can can can can can can can can can can can can can can can can can can can. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. t. t. ty. ty. tie. tie. tie. tie. tie. tie. tie. tie. th. th. th. he. office already? Starting point is 00:55:33 When does Adam yellet her to sc- Come down? Oh, I don't know. bad sideburns off between Eskith and Judge Rand. They both have absurd sideburns. And then, okay, I've never asked you for anything. Oh, yeah, at some point, by the way, Marriott says to her husband Jason, she says, I have never asked you anything about your past life before. Wow, not even in interest.
Starting point is 00:56:00 No, never. She knows nothing about his past. It's better that way. I guess so. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh, oh, oh, oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Okay, thi. Okay, thi. Okay, thi. Okay, okay, okay, thi. Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, past. It's better that way. I guess so. I guess so. Oh brother, okay, I'll just get to what we find out, which is that in addition to being the U.S. Deputy Marshall, Eskith is a hired gunman for the Murdo gang of Sacrifrico. Sorry many tens. Sorry many twisting tens. San Romento. San Romento. San Romento. And at this point. And, you, tho. And, tho. And, tho. And, tho. And, tho. And, tho. And, tho. And, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, th, th, th, th, oh, th, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, th th th th th, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, th, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, th, th, th, th, th,. Sorry, many twisting tens. San Romanto. San Romanto.
Starting point is 00:56:27 San Romanto. And at this point, you've lost interest. You almost don't know if you have a feeling, which is where they want you if you're ready to kill. Yes. As if this point in the episode you are balancing your home finances on quicken. Well, the clown, in the episode before, the ending clown has been so upsetting that you just want to fall asleep to something that sort of makes sense, yeah.
Starting point is 00:56:59 You need to try you of any interest you might have or any feeling so that, yeah, once again, like, say that you're ready to kill, at the dribble of a head. And this is all to say to say, to say, to say, to say, to say, to say, to say, to say, to say, to say, to say, to say, to say, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, the clau, their, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, cla, clout, clout, clout, clout, clout, clout, the, clout, clout, the, the, clout, the, the, the, like so that you're ready to kill it the drop of a head and this is all to say how much we love Bonanza it's a wonderful show yeah I love all dead people shows I was told to say that I don't actually know you have but James Hong is still alive is hanging in there so they're not all dead all to all dead all dead all to all all to all to all all all the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to they I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I the the the the to the the to the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the to to the to to to to to to to to Gideon Clevenger, the father of the three men that have been killed by Eskith, and the two of them is going to have a good old-fashioned draw down on one another in the streets. It looks like Porky Pig. He sort of looks like Porky Pig. Oh yeah, he does. He's a real fire plug of a fire plug. Little like a little red face. Yeah, Gideon. And they're going to have a gunfight. And Eskith has a strategy. He, in the middle of the fight, they're about to, you know, who's going to pull their gun first? It's a sound strategy.
Starting point is 00:57:51 Yeah, and suddenly he looks like he's going to faint away in the heat. And he pulls his handkerchift the today. And, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, their, and, their, their, their, their, their, their, and, their, and, and, their, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, their, and, and, and, and, their, and, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, they're, they's, they's, they's, their, they's, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, is.......... their, is. their, who's. their. their. their. their. their. their, who's, who's, who's, who's, who's fainting from heatstroke. Yes and that it ain't right to shoot a man when he needs to get his bearings I suppose it's gentlemanly but Eskith is only it's a diversion to pull a pistol out of his pocket right? Yeah right out of his it's a derringer it's a tiny lady lady gun I've re-handled lady gun. I will say he doesn't pull that one out and shoot him with it he has a third gun inside his his one on his hip yeah yeah that's right and he is one wrapped in the tissue he goes for the tissue oh and everyone's like oh no he's gonna shoot him with the
Starting point is 00:58:37 little gun inside the tissue and then he goes for a totally different third gun thing. Oh, now count me if I'm wrong. Count, count me. One. Okay, you did it. He, in the first one, he takes the tissue out of his coat pocket, does his little fop and jay dance that he's, oh, I'm fainting, then reaches inside, and that's where he has the pistol. Okay.
Starting point is 00:59:03 He's three pistols on him. Right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's th. th. that's th. th. th. that's th. thiaughe. thiole. thiole. thioliol, th. th. thiol, th. thi, they. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. Right, that's right, that's right, right. Then in the end that is so that Adam's gonna think that he has that same pistol trick and he says I would never do that again but he's already wrapped the Derringer in the little handkerchief. It's a second trick. It's the big Shyamalon twist. Okay, that th. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. th. th. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's a. It's a. It's a. It's a big. It's a big. It's a big. It's a big. It's a se. It's a se. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. big Shyamalan twist. Okay, all right. Well, whatever the case, Clevenger falls. And Cleverger says you might as well finish it, Eskith. But this is, we, anytime somebody is shot on Bonanza and they don't die immediately, they're going to pull through. And such is the case, Gideon, Clevenger pulls through for some reason. Now, wekeith quote. Beloved character they got to have them for the rest of the series. Oh sure that's it. Okay now Mariet devises
Starting point is 00:59:51 a plan she's gonna come on to Eskith she's gonna make it seem but she is this this is the this is the slagiest thing we've ever seen on Bonanza. I love that she says she invites herself back to his hotel room basically to get it on. She starts in Slag Valley from New York City. I love that. She started in Slag Valley and now she's all the way up in a mountain. Yeah. She's gonna get 8 million yen? Yep. And the purpose of it is to buy her husband some time. That's right. Sometimes you have to seduce someone all the way to your spouse. Your own orgasm or theirs or both? Oh come on. Sorry I don't mean to be a... The human body acts as it will. There's no way of
Starting point is 01:00:35 knowing who's gonna have an orgasm in sex, is he what you mean? Yeah. Sometimes there is an exchange of orgasms to buy your husband some time to hide in a mine. That happens in life. That's all. That's win-win. Yes. But she gilds the lily just a little too far with this kid. She looks him in the eye and says, oh, I know exactly what we're going to do in
Starting point is 01:01:02 your hotel room. And that's when he smells a rat. She could have, she should have left it more vague, but he goes, wait a minute, I'm being, I'm being tricked. And that's when he discovers Jason has escaped, and that's when we get to see how he wished he had slapped his teachers around. Yes, like thorough's teachers. Yep, he smacks Marriott in the face. She falls down. I believe then is when we hear that Gideon Clevenger explains the whole hatchet man for the Murdoch gang exposition. Oh boy. I'm telling you, did you orgasm there?
Starting point is 01:01:35 It was, yeah, it's a different kind of pleasure release. But it's when you just kind of let go of all expectation that your needs will be met. Oh boy. Let go and let God as they say don't they? Well, let God have the orgasm. That's what Thunder is. Yeah. I've heard that too. Anyway it all ends up in a mind which seems like it's going to crumble down on them, but doesn't. And there's a business with a handkerchief. And Eskiff falls and he's going to get shot.
Starting point is 01:02:19 And he confesses in his final moment that he did give into emotion. He says, I was in love, in love with Gerald Eskith. That's his own self. Okay, I didn't catch that. I thought he just didn't get the sentence out right. Yeah, I thought he was going to say Geraldine, but then died, I did not. I had the last name, but I didn't remember his first name, so I thought like maybe a father fig like a dad or a brother or a cousin.... I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I th. I I I th. I th. I th. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I that that he was that he was that he was that he that he that he that he that he that he that he that he that he that he that he that he that that that that that that's th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. th. the. th. the. the. the. th. the. th. th. th. th. but I didn't remember his first name, so I thought like maybe a father-feet, like a dad or a brother, or a cousin. I just knew he had the same last name as him and it was a men's name. It even occurred to me, does he mean another fellow that he likes, but the show would never, never go there. No, nope, he fell in love with himself and that was his downvon. Wow, hubris. So many emotions for himself, yeah.
Starting point is 01:03:05 The other episode of Bonanza that rivals the great Greek tragedies. Yep, indeed. And then Jason and Marriott head off to West to do the right thing he is going to and then testify against the why he's going to go get killed. Yeah, he'll be dead. She'll be a widow. Okay, perfect. Should have married Esketh then. At least they did all those things now
Starting point is 01:03:26 that they're gonna do the same thing that Eskith was gonna try to get the pre-do. Exactly, and she's gonna end up on the Barbary Coast slagging, slagging a mountain full of men. Yeah, thunder on the mountain is the mountain is the mountain is the mountain the mountain is the mountain is the mountain is the mountain the mountain is the mountain is the mountain and Raine is her ejaculence. You know, this episode did kind of inspire me. Did it?
Starting point is 01:03:49 I love the idea of pretending to faint from heat stroke and then shooting someone, but like that's not really something that we can do on our show. So I'm going to go back and pretend to be fainting of altitude sickness, and then the second someone runs over to make sure I'm okay. I'm just going to attack them and do some and do some them and do some some some them and do some some some'm just gonna attack them and do some foreplay. Oh wow. Present them your handquarter. Yeah just like like oh no don't have altitude sickness here's my hindquarters so fast that they don't even know what's happening and and then they will I don't know I haven't gone that far right okay this is an island
Starting point is 01:04:22 full of adult virgins right Right. There's a lot of pressure on you. Yeah, no kidding. Well, okay. Just be careful if it thunders or rains up there. It can get a little slippery. Do you know, unfortunately, after this episode, there's only 396 episodes left of Bonanza to go? That doesn't mean this ever has to end. No, no. No, no. No, no. No. No. No. No, this. We. We. We. We. We. We. Just. Just. Just. Just. That doesn't mean this ever has to end. No, no, no. We'll just go on to Howdy Doody. Yeah, I guess so. 2,343 episodes of Howdy Doody Doty? That's not, that's not bad. Do you bath salts when you do all of them and then you'll forget. Okay. I mean, I've been started again. Having had this been your first episode of Bonanza, do you now feel sad that there are so few episodes left? Yeah, I think, I mean, with Slag Mountain, you know, we've got like 83 episodes this season and so I think it's more of, you know, I look at this and I go, yeah, there's nothing wrong
Starting point is 01:05:16 with that. Perfect. Are they already in the can? Forty two of them are, but I, the, the, the, the, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th. th. th. th. thi. thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, th. thi, thi, thi, thi, th. th. th. th. th, th. th. th. th. th. th. Well, I consider you acquaintances. Oh, that's a rich acquaintance and that's a kind of acquaintance that you can make eye contact with and when you bring them something, you wrap it in a gift form. I have a question. I'm not even counting me because I know the answer for me because we just met. happen in a gift form. I have a question. I'm not even counting me, because I know the answer for me, because we just met.
Starting point is 01:06:28 But with these two, fellas, like, would you feel anything if you had to do a contract kill? No. To about the, like you had to contact, kill either of them? Because it would be done as a command. And not done with any sort of deceit or any feeling against them it would be because someone told me to which is very different from me doing it out of rage.
