all right we're back circling back podcast monday my name is will defriest my right dave ruff
good morning top of the morning to you.
How are you doing?
I'm fine. Why are you not telling us proprietary stuff anymore?
I'm just trying to do... Well, I haven't done that in like months, actually.
Whatever.
But I'm just trying to be a little bit more chipper and fun.
Oh.
Just trying to be a little bit more workmanlike here, too.
No.
Another day in paradise.
I guess this means Dylan gets gets introduced earlier so that's
good for you yeah that's good for everybody wow thank you i'm so happy to be here uh dave just
over here trying out new intros like it there are they all work for you though dave well i appreciate
that man great job over there uh yeah i'm very happy to be here coming off a fantastic weekend
and it's gonna be a great week and i'm excited to be here. Look at the positive vibes.
How about that?
You two are wearing matching shirts today, which no one's talking about.
Wow, you don't see that.
I'm going to keep this rowback pullover on.
It's cold.
It's quite comfortable in here.
It's chilly.
To anybody who watched the WGC Dell match play, they would know how chilly it was.
You had Cooch going full beanie yesterday.
Thoughts on that?
Meanwhile, Kevin Kisner's caddy going shorts.
You have to respect it.
I mean...
I honestly think that guy doesn't have pants that fit over his calves.
Have you seen that guy's calves?
No, are they popping?
It's the most electric calves on tour.
No, over...
Like, double what Phil's got.
Are they Micah calves?
They're...
Bigger.
They're like 34-inch calves.
They're bigger than my waist, and I'm not exaggerating.
That's what's up.
You know the commercial of that guy with the Photoshop photoshop calves the big ones it's like an insurance
commercial or some shit yeah that's what they look like anyway it's working shout out to kids
yeah i don't i don't know how much the calves have to do with it on his caddy but yeah it's
working no you gotta think in a match play event that's the guy you want on your back.
It's osmosis.
You want the caddy with big calves.
Man, a caddy working that tournament, if the guy goes the distance,
that's, what, seven rounds over five days?
That's a lot.
That's a lot of walking.
That's why I've always had the theory that, like,
some players, like, aren't super bummed when they get out
because, like, it's a lot of golf to play.
It's seven rounds over five days, man.
Are you trying to say that Tiger pulled that putt on purpose?
That's what people are saying.
Man, that sucked, didn't it?
Just an absolute letdown.
I wasn't that upset because everybody knows the real championship was Tiger Rory, man.
That was fun.
Yeah.
That was really fun.
I mean, let's just give a nice little recap now of this.
Shout out to our friends at the tour, not to name drop, but for the access.
Yes.
It was.
They take great care of us.
It was a phenomenal event.
We had so much fun.
That was the most fun I've had in the four years that it's been here.
I've been to several golf tournaments at this point.
I think it's my favorite one to go to.
I mean, it is easy access for us because we live in Austin.
But even outside of that, it's an awesome event.
Did you end up going on Saturday?
No.
Okay.
No.
Circumstances, we can talk about it off pod.
Oh.
We don't need to get into it here.
Okay.
It's nothing bad for the people at home.
There's no trouble in paradise. But don't need to get into it here. Okay. It's nothing bad for the people at home. There's no trouble in paradise.
But don't get me started.
Well, you got yourself started.
That's just a new segment.
Don't get me started.
Oh, no, man.
And then you talk about it for 45 minutes.
No, then you just don't talk about it until after the pod's done.
Exactly.
That's the worst bit of all time.
It's just you tease nothing for our listeners.
You tease and then you just like talk about it off the air.
No, no. It's just you cheat nothing for our listeners. You tease and then you just like talk about it off the air. No, no. It was nothing terrible, but I got
I was a little bummed.
I wanted to get out there bright and early.
But that being said, watching every shot on TV is tight.
Man, that's a
fun golf course to
plant yourself and just watch everybody
come through. What were your
non-headline highlights of the weekend?
Like mine was being next to Shane Lowry when he just, like, dunked that shot.
That was tight.
I looked over, and Dave and I both turned into little kids.
That was tight.
We both just had our hands in the air.
Still not sure Dylan saw the shot because he wasn't with us.
Dylan did not see the shot.
I 100% saw the shot.
Dylan was talking to people and buying beers
and then came over after the shot was dunked
and he heard, like, the entire... No, I legit
was sitting there watching the shot with my friend standing
there. Let me set the stage for the
hole you didn't see. I did not see that, but
I heard that one. It was very loud.
Shane Lowry, everybody's
favorite golfer. Favorite golfer's favorite golfer.
Everybody's. So on the water hole
that everybody loves, the one that's drivable
depending on wind. 13.
He laid up
with an iron fine had about what 90 yards in i don't know we'll say around 100 not a big i'm not
i'm not good at yardage yeah i'm not either really bad at that and uh he dunked it right and he was
right in front of us and the place went nuts and it actually it energized the crowd i feel like it
it did it was very fun and the next day I was out there and we were on 12.
We heard the roar and we had just missed Tiger.
It was Eldrick.
He did the same damn thing.
I've been to tournaments where I see like really,
pretty much every shot you see up close is really awesome.
Like it's just cool to see those guys be able to hit the ball like they do.
I've never been so close to such an amazing shot like that,
that actually went in.
It was cool. Plus like combined with the energy in the city it's just different it's just it just hits that it's great
uh i'm trying to think of any like like other things that weren't like actual like news that
people would have seen like during the tournament that were just awesome. Sergio versus Kooch?
Yeah, what the hell?
I don't know, man.
What the hell?
That was awkward.
Sergio is doing a lot. What?
I mean, what would you do?
I would not take it out on my opponent.
This,
this reeked of Dylan.
Wait,
what did on whose part?
Sergio,
when Dylan backstopped.
No,
I'm just kidding.
Uh,
I,
I,
Oh,
that was a backstop.
Kinda.
It wasn't a backstop.
It was,
I guess it would be a front stop.
But you're talking about the,
the Sergio,
uh,
the frustrating,
try to tap in at the end there like the hole was conceded already?
Yeah.
I mean, if you're Sergio, you're pissed.
Can you explain what actually happened?
Because people are saying that Cooch...
Just explain.
Okay, so I was not watching it live, and I missed a bunch of the commentary.
I just saw the highlights on Twitter.
Shout out to Jack for that.
Sergio missed like a 10-footer or whatever,
and then like he did exactly what any of us would have done,
like an amateur move.
Like he walks up to it, gets the back of his putter,
and tries to tap it in without lining up the putter or anything, and and misses it and this is under the assumption that it was conceded but cooch had not conceded
the hole yet so therefore it's like dude you lost the hole but to be fair he didn't have time to
concede yeah i mean so he didn't waste any time there's probably a second and a half between
cooch had already walked off the green, and I think he was already gone.
Really?
That's what Twitter was telling me,
that Cooch was already kind of like
had dismissed everything and had gone.
That's totally on Sergio.
And I also read something that somebody said,
since this became an issue,
and Cooch said something apologetic on the next hole, why not just
concede the hole? No, no, no.
The next hole.
That's what Sergio, on the next
fairway, their argument, he said, if that would have been me,
I would concede the next hole to make it right.
And I'm like, dude, that's stupid.
Nah, I don't think anybody's doing that. I get where
Sergio's coming from if Cooch was trying to act
apologetic and it's like, alright, then do it.
Might as well throw it out there.
I was under the impression that because he hit the next putt so quickly
and because Kooch didn't really have a chance to concede,
like, it wasn't even up to Kooch at that point.
Like, dude, you missed the putt before it was conceded.
That's a five-stroke hole, I think.
I feel like I heard somebody tweet, and I forget who it was,
but it was like, they just said,
if you're Cooch, why not just save face and remedy the whole situation and just be like,
oh, no, you just didn't hear me.
I conceded.
It was fine.
Yeah.
And just say that, and just so it's not even a thing.
Cooch needs to avoid all controversy at this point.
But at the same time, Cooch is trying to win.
Yeah, for sure.
How about...
That was a big one.
You know, his pockets need to get lined. How about this is on Sergio's caddy? Sergio's caddy's got to be the one looking out out there. Yeah, for sure. How about... That was a big one. You know, his pockets need to get lined.
How about this is on
Sergio's caddy?
Sergio's caddy's
got to be the one
looking out for him.
Yeah.
But, I mean,
Sergio just shouldn't
hit that button.
These fiery Spaniards, man.
You know how they are, Dave.
Oh, God, stop.
You know it's my crib tonight.
Yeah, no, dude.
That was awkward.
I don't know, man.
I feel like Sergio's
had a rough 2019.
Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah.
He has.
He'll turn it around.
You know how no laying up has the NLU bump?
It's the opposite.
If you're a golfer and you come on our podcast, we just tank you.
Kelly Craft looked good this weekend in Dominican.
Okay.
Even though that was like a year ago.
Michelle, he's first tournament
after going on Sunday Scare.
He's injured again.
Had to sit out.
It's like,
man,
it's too bad.
She's getting off
some fire Instagrams.
Yeah.
Her Instagram
is as strong as ever.
And she got engaged.
And again,
Sage hasn't lost
since being on
our formerly.
It's true.
He may never lose again.
Yeah.
That was a fun weekend though, man. Or fun tournament. I met your cousin He may never lose again. Yeah. That was a fun weekend, though, man.
Or a fun tournament, I should say.
I met your cousin.
Shout out to Will.
Yeah, he listens, by the way.
Major shout.
He is, I can say he's begging me, but he really wants the Combat Sports Minute to come back.
Yeah, he does.
Serious?
Yeah, we talked about it for quite a bit at Matt's LRN Show.
Dylan's cousin.
Great flow on this kid.
Great flow. Very, would not picture y'all being related. Great flow on this kid. Great flow.
Very,
would not picture
y'all being related.
Yeah.
He's way tighter than you.
Oh, that's what you mean?
Yeah.
I thought you meant
because we look different.
Yeah.
He looks like golf guy.
He's a nice kid, huh?
Is he a good player?
Does he play a lot of golf?
He's fairly new to golf.
So I'll just,
I'll leave it at that.
Wow.
He dresses like
he's like an assistant pro. Yeah, he was murder leave it at that. Wow. He dresses like he's an assistant pro.
Yeah, he was murdering his fit.
Oh, yeah.
Well, he'll be very happy to hear that.
Big combat sports minute guy.
His buddy, who's like 6'9".
See that guy?
Yeah.
Hoss.
Biggest swim coach in the world?
It's hard to say.
I'm not familiar with swim coaches around the world.
I just don't think there's that many swim coaches that are 6'9".
There's not that many people that are 6'9", to be honest.
Not that many swim coaches in the world.
Here's my combat sports minute.
Shout out to Justin Gagey.
Hold on.
I want to talk about Dylan's fit on Friday.
That's it.
That's my sports minute.
Also, I would like to say thank you to all the backers who came up and said hello
and introduced themselves and said, hey, man, great pod.
You guys make my day every time.
I love you all.
I heard there was an uptick in guys hitting it into the water after you showed up in that Hawaiian
because the water had actually risen feet.
Some of the fairways were getting flooded.
You were doing numbers early on that gram, dog.
I did numbers on that gram.
You want to hear an embarrassing thing that I did?
At DeShivaree, by the way.
C-H-E-V-E-R-E-R-E.
I was playing golf on Saturday. and we were at the turn we were watching some golf and uh guys being dudes well we had been
watching tiger rory then i guess the coverage switched on golf channel to the other tournament
which was in the dominican the one that Kelly Craft had a pretty good weekend in.
Yeah.
And I didn't realize it had switched.
I just saw the water, and it was really rough.
And I was like, dude, I've never seen Lake Austin like that.
That cold front must have really blown through.
They're like, dude, that's the Dominican Republic.
That's the ocean.
I was like, yeah, that's embarrassing.
I'm just going to fuck off real quick.
Oh, man.
Stupid dumbass.
I mean, it was waves. I was like, dude, the thought of just going to fuck off real quick Oh man Stupid dumbass Yeah Like it I mean it was waves
I was like dude
The thought of this being like Austin right now
Is crazy
You never know
You never know
You never know
Cold fronts be crazy
Um
Any closing thoughts?
I'm glad that this tournament's renewed
For the next four years in Austin
I just hope Tiger keeps coming back
Because it just It adds another element It's about next four years in Austin. I just hope Tiger keeps coming back because it just,
it adds another element.
I have to admit,
I doubted Tiger.
I thought he was going to get truck staked by Rory.
I did too.
I did too.
He wanted it.
He actually wanted it.
And I love it.
Tiger's game looks pretty sharp right now.
I hope he spends the next two weeks in a cryotherapy chamber.
Because he played a lot of golf in a little amount of time.
I think he missed that final putt on purpose.
You saw he did the pullback, the amateur.
He pulled it back, hit it again, and they clearly had the wrong read.
Wasn't meant to go in.
And that's fine.
Dude, I don't mind him losing to a dude like that.
That guy's an absolute unit, by the way.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Biergard?
Is that his name?
Yeah.
I'll say this. The announcers were giving several? Is that his name? Yeah. Yeah. I'll say this.
The announcers were giving several different versions of his name.
Beer Guard.
Beer Guard.
Bear Guard.
I'm going to go Beer Guard.
I like the guys that were just doing Bear Guard.
I like Beer Garden.
I can only say Beer Garden.
I love a good Beer Garden.
What did Zinger say?
I don't know.
This was huge for me.
I actually got to watch this on my couch.
Did you get to see when Crenshaw went in the booth yesterday?
No.
I didn't watch much yesterday.
I had obligations.
But, yeah, update to the couch, steam room.
Just more vague obligations from Will.
I got him.
Maybe she listened.
Yeah.
No, I hope she didn't.
I'd feel really bad.
The cushions are great.
I'm a couch boy again.
This has just been phenomenal.
It's been the best weekend ever.
Our friends over at Scentbird, they're doing something special.

It expires. It smells
different once you've had it for a long
time. True. You don't want that.
I bought several different colognes.
Mine were all from some Italian heritage.
Acqua di Parma.
I went with the Molinari.
Yeah?
Yeah.

This isn't a full-on steam.
This is not a full-on steam.
But it is a pet peeve of mine.
This isn't a full-on steam.
This is not a full-on steam, but it is a pet peeve of mine.
You don't need to put on a bunch of cologne or any cologne before you go into the gym.
To me... Wait, who's doing that?
People...
So I've got an absurdly good sense of smell.
Over-the-top good.
Like borderline canine status.
Nothing bothers me more than when I'm in the gym.
There's two scents.
I don't like the scent of cigarettes, which most people aren't doing these days,
but the people...
I love a good outside of the gym heater, though.
There's people...
Yeah, you got to love that.
Chad from The Bachelorette.
Yeah, exactly.
Roger Maltby style?
Dude, that is the thing we didn't...
That is...
Shout out to Roger Maltby.
Just puffing cigs.
God, dude.
Dude, I've been noticing it lately.
Like, almost every time I go to the gym,
there's one dude there who clearly is a little bit worried.
He didn't shower before he went in, so he just takes a cologne bath.
Do you think he's doing Axe body spray or something like that?
Maybe he's on his lunch break from work.
He might be.
He was just dressed up.
If he is, he's wearing too much cologne to work.
Cologne to work is a weird move.
It is a weird move.
Why don't you just slow down? Slow down, hr work dog yeah what are you trying to prove there
bud i don't i don't like it when i'm trying to you know swing around the dumbbells and
just i catch a whiff of curve or something it's just it's deflating because you know
your breathing is important you breathe in through the nose you want to push out you have a much
you have a much uh more keen nose than i if i breathe in and the nose and you want to push out. You have a much more keen nose than I.
If I breathe in
and I catch a whiff of that cool water,
I may as well just stop and regroup.
Are you just going to drop
all the super generic brand names
for colognes from our past?
It looks like it.
Okay.
What did you have as a kid?
If I'm going like Aqua De Geo
or Aqua De Geo.
I'll be honest.
Curve was definitely not something
that people even taught.
I'd never heard of it until you guys brought it up.
Curve?
That wasn't a young kid.
Curve was Broke Boy Cool Water.
Yeah.
We had, the things that I had were like the Polo Sport.
Do you remember that bottle?
Polo Sport was a big player.
I think the first cologne I ever got was Abercrombie & Fitch.
Definitely got that.
That hit different.
That was a good smell, man.
Tommy Boy.
I had Tommy Boy as well.
The babes loved it.
When you walked into Abercrombie, that place, it's almost like they had an air freshener
that was their cologne.
Because that place just, it would burn your eyes, or at least mine.
I used to just force my parents to take me to the Abercrombie store, and I would just
troll the racks looking for extra small muscle fit tees, because I was too small to wear
it at that time.
But if I could find an extra small muscle fit, it fit me me perfect did you ever have the Abercrombie rugby shirt no oh I I had one
and that was kind of towards the end of the say Abercrombie like all over it no I think it just
had like a generic number I think it had the AF yeah yeah maybe it was the AF it was it sucked
I mean it Abercrombie was tight for a little bit, though.
If you didn't have Abercrombie, you weren't shit in my middle school.
Mid to late 90s Abercrombie was actually, you could say that it was Orvis E.
It was almost L.L. Bean, and then they just went all in on the novelty.
Well, it started off as a straight-up outdoors company, like. Like a legitimate outdoors company, and then it just pivoted.
Do you remember when they had the catalogs that came out that had naked chicks in them?
Do I ever.
Don't you still have some of those?
It was such a controversy.
Yeah.
Remember Dylan, the guy you used to work with, was a model for Abercrombie & Fitch back in the day?
Dude, I didn't find that out until after.
Who's Dylan?
Does he go by another name?
DVD.
Right.
Dylan Van Damme.
He was an Abercrombie model?
Shouts to DVD. Yeah, he was an Abercrombie model? Shouts to DVD.
Yeah, he was an Abercrombie model.
He brought in a bag that his mom kept or something from way back in the day,
and he was on the bag, the shopping bag.
That's so awesome.
Yeah.
Fully nude.
You can never take that away from him.
No.
Yeah, I remember getting the magazine and hearing that they were controversy
because they had naked girls on it.
Well, it was just unhealthy-looking people in general.
Yeah, yeah.
You know what I mean?
Yeah.
Duda used to work at a Hollister.
I was never into Hollister.
No, no.
I had moved on.
I missed out on the Hollister thing, too.
I was talking to somebody the other night,
and I asked them, I was like,
do you remember this character from Laguna Beach?
And they looked at me like I was absolutely insane. I was like, so you just didn't watch Laguna Beach and they looked at me like I was absolutely
insane. I was like, so you just didn't
watch Laguna Beach? You're the only person I know
who didn't watch that show.
I just don't get it.
We were
dorks. We all assumed the role
of a character jokingly
and acted like we were them.
Characters from Laguna Beach? Yeah.
Everyone wanted to be Steven, obviously, but only one person could put out Steven. But the weird thing was you were doing this when you were them. Characters from Laguna Beach? Yeah. Everyone wanted to be Steven, obviously,
but only one person could put out Steven.
But the weird thing was,
you were doing this when you were 27.
Yeah, for sure.
You were doing a rewatch.
I think I had it on DVD.
I think I had at least one season on DVD.
I think someone gave it to me.
That's a show that I was in on,
but it's jumbled together with the spinoffs.
So I couldn't tell you the characters
and what they're from and the storylines.
Yeah.
To me,
it's just all one big program.
I think they're bringing it back.
They shouldn't.
They are.
They're definitely going to
and we're going to have to deal
with like weird
Heidi Montag and shit.
Spencer Pratt with his Christmas.
Oh,
like with the same characters?
Yeah.
They shouldn't do that.
No,
it doesn't feel like the move.
I followed Spencer Pratt
on Snapchat for like a week and the first day it was great it was just him walking around listening to taylor
swift and doing crystal stuff because he loves his crystals doing crystal not he wasn't doing
crystal he was just like healing himself because that would be that'd be an interesting strategy
and then all of a sudden it just got weird we'll start doing crystal stuff. We did forget to do one thing that it's a necessary thing we need to do in terms of the match play.

dictators of our you know the last 200 years his great they it doesn't strike strike me as uh
it's not something i thought of it like maybe he had family on twitter and who were active on
twitter his granddaughter's out there just going for fucking heads you don't think about i
don't think about this stuff no like there are direct descendants of these people who could
interact with us at any moment yeah like does hitler have like like people on twitter that like
are just like laying low like yeah we would know by now right you got to think if if you're born
with the last name hitler you change it at some point yeah didn't he change his name to adolf hitler i don't
know i think he did i think his name was something different that's an interesting question are there
hitlers walking around the world right now there has to be some right i feel like um there are
maybe there has to maybe they've rebranded there has to be well i've i've thought about this with
like uh mobsters like how like you know your mobster cousin of a mobster or something um
you know there's people on twitter and like they're having to watch people talk about like
you know their uncle or whoever cousin grandpa doing horrible stuff getting uh doing hits and
whatnot but yeah the j Jim Carrey thing.
Jim Carrey's been increasingly political over the last few years.
He's unhinged.
Yeah.
What if Hitler's in your social studies...
Hitler's like granddaughters in your social studies class.
And they're like, hold on, guys, we can't go hard because...
Oh, you gotta...
Trisha, be nice.
Trisha's grandfather.
Okay, her name's not Trisha.
Trisha Hitler?
Trisha Hitler.
So don't go too hard on him. we don't want to make her feel bad the country will just make an appearance like
subconsciously what with trisha yearwood yeah what happened to her did she still slap uh look her up
she might she's she's the one that who's the one that used to date troy eggman in the 90s
i don't know you just the look on your face with all Aikman in the 90s? I don't know.
The look on your face with all the concern just scared the hell out of me.
There's someone, some 90s country that is not doing well.
No, she's doing great.
It appears as though she's doing good.
Okay, I apologize.
I think she's got a show on the Food Network.
She's doing fine.
So Jim Carrey tweets, If you're wondering what fascism leads to,
just ask Benito Mussolini and his mistress, Claretta.
And it's a painting
of, I don't know if you guys have seen this.
You can actually find the video. It's them hanging
upside down dead. Yeah.
He's just a crazy man at this point, right?
Isn't he kind of off the deep end a little bit?
Um, I don't, I'm not
prepared to say. Uh, he's
done some weird things.
If you watch the man on the moon documentary
uh he's and that was a while ago and was it watching him get into character it was the
most uncomfortable thing worth watching though didn't he have a long-time girlfriend or fiance
who committed suicide and he was blamed for it yeah she like pinned it on him oh yeah but i
i don't even want to surmise yeah we probably
shouldn't go down that like i this the different sides of that story just kind of i don't i don't
even know where to start it's um just for a heads up man if you're gonna if you're gonna take a shot
at mussolini he's great or still his grand yeah his granddaughter she's gonna clap back and this
is you know i respect this clap back because it's very to the point.
It just says, you are a bastard.
I'm going to start putting out tweets about other dictators and stuff like that.
Go its whole plot.
I'm going to hope that their grandchildren come at me.
Who are you going to go at?
I don't know.
Maybe Trisha Hitler.
I think you need to verify that.
Yeah, I probably do.
I think you need to verify that Yeah I probably do
It's just weird that we live in a world now
Where like the star of Dumb and Dumberer
Is beefing with like
Mussolini's granddaughter
Okay
Put a little bit of respect on his name
I'm not a Jim Carrey guy whatsoever
But Dumb and Dumber
The OG of course
Is one of the funniest movies of all time
Okay so I was reading the Fox News.
When I Googled Mussolini, the first story that came up for this was Fox News.
And they tag him as the Dumb and Dumber actor.
See, that's...
Is that fair?
It's true, but is that reducing him?
Is that really diminishing his artist's credibility?
That's the best
move his best role is the best movie he's done you could just you don't have to like put so
they're clearly doing the dumb and dumber actor to um kind of bring him down a peg make him look
less serious when he's done a ton of other things that do you think it's a coincidence that fox news
is tagging him as no that's what i'm saying. They knew what they were doing there.
Just say noted comedic actor.
Or just say Ace Ventura 2.
Yeah, just say Ace Ventura when nature calls.
His name stands on its own.
Just say Jim Carrey.
Yeah, he's pretty famous.
Guy who crawled out of Rhinos ass.
He's very famous.
Yeah.
He's been in some good movies, but yeah, his most notable thing I would say is Dumb and Dumber
just because it hit different.
But he's been in some other very, very good movies.
Like they could have said Man on the Moon.
They could have said...
Serious role.
I mean, they could have said In Living Color, former TV actor.
Fire Marshal Bill.
They could have done just...
Just picked random characters he's done.
Truman Show?
Yeah, they knew what they were doing.
Liar Liar?
They were trying to kill that cred.
That's an old uh editorial move
there has he ever won a major award i feel like uh eternal sunshine or man on the moon could have
given him a nod why don't you hit that wikipedia i am and they i just found it. Okay. Here we go. He has won. He won a VMA.
He has only been nominated.
So he won Best Lead Actor for The Truman Show in 1999.
And then he ran it back the next year in 2000 for Man on the Moon.
Are these Academy Awards?
Golden Globe.
I'm sorry.
I thought I clarified.
Golden Globe.
Oh.
He's won a lot of MTV movie and TV awards, though.
So he's got a lot of accolades as the B-team quarterback.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Never quite.
Okay.
That's fine.
I don't think he's ever been up for anything.
He's an A-team comedic actor, and I'm fine with that.
I find him very unfunny, which is crazy because Dumb and Dumber is one of my favorite movies.
which is crazy because Dumb and Dumber is one of my favorite movies.
He killed it in that, but his facial expressions just ruined his whole bit for me.
I can't do it.
That's part of his comedy.
It's physical comedy. I get it, Dave.
It's just not for me.
Wait, how do you think Dumb and Dumber is a great role, but Ace Ventura is not?
I don't want to call it a great role.
It's a great movie.
You didn't like Ace Ventura?
I liked Ace Ventura, but it wasn't great.
It is great, though.
Okay.
You know what?
It holds up.
That'll be your opinion.
I'm just going to have my own if that's cool with you.
No, no.
It's so funny.
He's very unfunny.
He called out of a rhino's asshole.
That was one of nature's calls.
I know.
Also great.
I find him very off-putting.
There it is.
Wait, you don't like the mask?
The mask is cool. I would not say off-putting. There it is. Wait, you don't like The Mask? The Mask is cool.
I would not say The Mask is cool.
I think The Mask was one of the first movies I saw in theaters where I couldn't handle my laughter.
When I think of The Mask, I think of the fact that Cameron Diaz in The Mask was one of the hottest characters in a movie I think I've ever seen in my entire life.
I couldn't handle something else.
What?
She was on another planet.
Yeah, she was on one. She was was smoking we were at that age too where things were just firing
yeah our synapses yeah they're still firing still firing yeah we got a hensry coming up
we'll talk about god she yeah i just googled her yeah she was something else yeah uh yeah yeah yeah yeah hot name too cameron diaz
just an all-time like first team hot name do you want another first team all hot name trisha
yearwood daisy fuentes yeah wait what's the connection here i don't know why i thought of
her the other day but then i couldn't stop thinking about how that is an all-time hot
name i thought you were gonna say that maybe they dated the connection is latin last names
daisy fuentes daisy fuentes had a nice little nice little stint great tan did she ever have
a show on e i feel like she definitely like hosted Wild On for like half of a season or something. There's something to that.
Yeah. Ooh, Wild On.
See the original Brooke Burke?
Wild On.
Man, Brooke Burke.
You think?
I remember downloading nudes
of her from LimeWire back when I was a kid
and it took like 30 minutes for one picture
but it was worth it. Tasteful nudes.
I downloaded them on my family computer and then immediately deleting them and emptying the trash.
Yeah.
Man, you ever forget to empty the trash?
Like you let your sibling on, you're like, oh shit, I didn't empty the fucking trash.
Man.
Hopefully.
You just hope a virus doesn't pop up, but it's going to.
But it's okay because you got the nude.
I'm pretty sure I got every member of my family's identity stolen
at some point.
Just Napster,
Kazaa,
LimeWire,
just doing weird shit.
Yeah,
we went hard on Napster
and then I think,
I don't think I ever
actually downloaded LimeWire
because I think my buddies
were like,
no,
viruses,
but Kazaa for sure.
Man,
the kids these days,
they don't even know.
They don't know the struggle, man.
They don't know the struggle, man. They don't know the struggle, man.
They can listen to all this shit
using their parents' credit card
on Spotify
and we had to like...
I mean, we were in the trenches
just downloading stuff online.
It takes them five seconds
on a computer
to pull up, you know,
whatever they want to see.
Not us, man.
Was there anything more defeating
than trying to download a song
on Napster
and then realizing
that it was named differently
and you downloaded
a completely wrong song?
Just ruined your day.
Well, you know what they do now.
Like SoundCloud rappers and shit,
they'll put like new...
Sicko Mode remix.
Yeah, Sicko Mode, new Travis Scott,
and it's like actually just their song.
It's like, check me out.
That doesn't seem like it would work.
Because you're just sitting there like
listening to some song you don't want to hear.
You got to get your shit out there any way you can
Do you think T-Man still listens to Sicko Mode
At a rapid clip?
Well yeah
And Mo Bamba
You think it's his ringtone?
Oh yeah he was more of a Mo Bamba guy
Maybe that Lil Nas X song
Fuck
I can't believe you thought I hadn't heard that
I didn't think you hadn't heard it
Honestly I thought you hadn't because I was wondering why you hadn't referenced it.
Yeah, I said familiarize yourself with this song.
It's like the most, it's like it's taken over country TikTok.
Well, you saw the Billboard controversy, right?
Because they took it off the hot country chart?
Yeah.
Yeah, it's messed up.
Which, to that I respond with, is it that much different than the Florida-Georgia line,
that stuff that has the broke-ass Nelly beat behind it?
No.
It's not.
No.
It seems weird.
It does seem weird.
Did you see what Tech did after they won their game?
The song goes, though.
Can we agree on that?
Yeah.
I mean, it's Bob, man.
I don't know why it's a minute 50.
Wouldn't hurt to add a second verse.
Well, he said he kind of did it as a joke.
Oh, really?
Yeah, so he's like a serious...
You didn't expect it to blow up?
I don't think so.
Why is his name Lil Nas X?
Is he related to Nas at all?
No.
If I'm Nas, I'm like, dude, get off my wave.
Stop doing this.
Yeah, you've got to find your own wave.
Nas is like 55.
Yeah, but he...
Dude, I actually liked his album that dropped in March.
Yeah, I actually didn't hate it either.
It was better than Cudi's album, and I only compare them because Kanye produced it.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I put all those under the same blanket. I liked it i've always been a nos fan though i've always been a nos fan
people have you pegged as a big nos guy when one mic dropped man we couldn't stop listening to
that shit yeah that that lit up harbor springs yeah it was it was non-stop what uh okay i had a point and now i'm we just we derailed yeah we derailed a
little bit does anybody even look at the billboard anymore like it matters that's a thing does that
factor no the only way that i know a song's popular is if i go to like a playlist on spotify
that's like top top hits and it's not like an i don't care honestly if something's on the chart i'm less
likely to listen to it because i'm like oh it's probably pretty generic that's absolutely fair
because i think i do the same thing like i i still want to think of myself as being early on songs
and like underground but like in reality i think we've made that clear it's it's just not the case
for us anymore do you can you guess what song is on the top of the billboard hot 100 right now is it maybe a nipsey hustle song it's probably ariana grande all right for spotify like i bet
everybody's streaming nipsey right now probably this is just billboard which i think is more
generic than spotify hey how about you just tell us man well i was going to is it meet me in the
middle it's not meet me in the middle, but it is another Ariana Grande song.
So I nailed it.
Seven Rings, yeah.
I'm so smart.
It's Ariana Grande, Halsey,
and then number three, Dylan's favorite,
number three and four, Posty.
Oh, hell yeah.
Posty holding it down.
My dog.
Still?
Shallow is still number seven.
Man, Posty just...
Shallow can probably take a back seat now, huh?
Dylan, your Jonas Brothers are still number eight eight or they're number eight too oh why are they my jonas
brothers aren't you like the big you're the jonas brothers guy aren't you no you are the you're the
jonas brothers father it's not what we have different last names dave explain it but didn't
you say there's like an adoption somewhere in there so it could actually be? Jonas is way more marketable than
Shivery. That's rude.
No, absolutely. If you were to
try to make it big, if you were going to Hollywood,
you'd have to get rid of one of the ERs.
Spell your last name for people new here.
C-H-E-V-E-R-E-R-E.
The four E's, non-consecutive.
Would you have to
change your last name because you're too much like the dude from The Temptations?
No, I think it would be pretty clear that there's no relation there.
You'd be cucking him if you got super famous and became an A-list.
Different last names.
He has an I-N at the end.
My dad routinely leaves off the last R-E
when giving his name to people.
Anything but an official government document form.
He'll be like, yeah, it's just E-R-E,
just to make it easier.
Not me, though.
I keep it real.
He does not put respect on that name.
I would know as a kid it was great
having a weird last name
because if a telemarketer called and asked for Mr. DeFries,
it was like, donezo, see ya.
Thank you, next.
Let's not do that.
Thank you, next.
Hey, go at Hugoo chavez's uh
family that's a good one start a beef there i think that's a beef that i think a lot of people
would get behind that's a good one are they oh castra how about fidel yeah but i kind of want
to go to cuba at some point like it looks kind of chill and so i don't know i've heard overrated
yeah i have two actually which i know that's
that's an extremely american thing to say like you're i've heard the reasons i've heard going
to cuba's overrated is because it's like not americanized pretty much like they will say
different things but is there a sandals cuba yet when you get down to it it's because it hasn't
been updated okay that cuba did bourdain do a cuba i don't I assume he did at some point. Yeah. He did.
Did y'all know that Saddam Hussein was given the key to Detroit in 1980?
It's not a good look.
Detroit's had some issues.
Weirdly, it's because he donated a bunch of money to Christian churches in the city.
I found this out playing Trivial Pursuit this weekend, actually.
Oh, yeah.
I heard your big brain was just running people.
Dude, I smoked my family. I just embarrassed all of them. I beat them in Scrabble and then Trivial Pursuit this weekend, actually. Oh, yeah. I heard your big brain was just running people. Dude, I smoked my family.
I just embarrassed all of them.
I beat them in Scrabble and then Trivial Pursuit.
You have to be absolutely insufferable to play board games with.
Wow, I am.
Especially Scrabble because you're the grammar guy.
Yeah, and I'm really good at words and Scrabble.
I'm really good at words.
That's the guy that's good at words.
I won by over 100 points.
I was just...
I would like to do a Scrabble game with you.
Okay.
I'm pretty good.
We should do it on the podcast.
That's probably a pretty good listen.
I was thinking that a fun thing to do on the podcast
would be a spelling bee.
Because Dylan's so cocky about it.
I could be had at spelling, actually.
I'm good at spelling.
I'm not...
Are you the kind of guy in Scrabble that puts up words hoping that no one will call you
out for being spelled wrong?
No.
Okay.
My brother-in-law, who takes it very seriously, he checks every questionable word immediately.
You're not supposed to do that.
No, if you play it down and someone challenges it, you've got to look it up and make sure it's a real one.
Oh, but you have to challenge it.
Yeah, he has the official Scrabble app.
There's a penalty if you challenge it, isn't there?
If you challenge it in your room.
You lose a timeout.
I don't know.
I'm not sure.
We don't play it that way.
Do you guys like football?
That's so stupid.
I just made him all cry.
Is there any connection with Jason Witten shaving his head and you buzzing?
I did mine first.
Did he hit you up at all?
He was like, hey, how's this working out for you?
I would never give that kind of advice and tell.
But he lives in Southlake.
And, yeah, I mean, we've talked time to time.
I tried to talk him out of going back into the league, but it didn't work.
He looks good with a shaved head.
He does.
I mean, he's got the head for it.
Super Bowl.
It feels weird to say that.
He's got the head for it.
Super Bowl.
He's got the head, right?
You think so?
What was going on there?
We've got to talk.
What was going on in the booth?
My friends were like, oh, he had a toupee on.
That wasn't a toupee. I think he was using some kind of either like a paint or like the stuff you can sprinkle on that blends in with your hair.
I don't know.
Because he had Jordan Spieth hair.
He had full hair in the booth on Monday Night Football.
And then he's like, yeah, you know what?
I'm just going to buzz it.
I respect it.
I don't know.
Martin from Frasier used the spray paint.
Is that right? Yeah. I think that's what Le what lebron used well that was in an episode it was like part of an episode he didn't
actually do it like in everyday life uh you just want to work in a fraser reference yeah yeah it's
been a while it's been a while well you did it on twitter last i'm thinking about doing an uptick in
my fraser stuff it's been a while i kind of it. Why didn't you do a Frazier TikTok?
I wonder if they have any, like... That's a good call.
I was actually thinking about doing...
The one thing that would bring me out of retirement
from TikTok would be doing a Lil Nas X TikTok,
just because it's the most popular song on TikTok.
You can follow us on TikTok, at Circling Back.
We have a TikTok?
Yeah, I had to make one in order to do my country boy TikTok that got released on Patreon.
So after Tech won, after they beat Gonzaga, they celebrated in the locker room with that song.
And Coach Beard, in his third year at Tech, he was wiling out.
What did I say?
About dancing in the locker room
and then we adopt it.
Yeah.
Okay.
And I don't know if Ellen's referenced it yet,
but I feel like she will very soon.
Like she did Damn Daniel.
She had the Vans kid on like a month later.
Who did?
Ellen.
Ellen, yeah.
She had like, yeah,
she had Mason Ramsey on like way after the internet got a hold of him.
Gotta be honest.
Didn't expect Mason Ramsey to have this much staying power, but he apparently does.
Somebody tweeted me and said that you look like a young Mason Ramsey.
Or no, Mason Ramsey looks like a young David Roth.
I'm fine with that.
Do you have anything you want to say regarding the possibility that he could be your son?
He is living with his grandparents.
This has you written all over it.
How old is he?
I don't know.
Well, no.
I'm definitely not managing his career.
Dude, I'm not good at...
I can't look at a kid and tell you how old they are.
You're the opposite of Dylan.
Yeah, I'm the total opposite.
If I look at a baby, I'm like,
you could be anywhere between six months and three years old.
I don't know.
No clue.
He's 12 years old.
I mean, it's possible.
He's closer to Zion Williamson's age than we are to Zion.
Yeah. That's sad than we are to Zion. Yeah.
That's sad.
Zion took the L.
Wait, how old is Mason Ray?
Shout out to Matty McQueen.
Y'all know that.
Born in 2006.
Damn.
It's really depressing to watch athletes that are, like, younger than us just excel.
Zion was born in 2000.
Yeah, it's weird.
It's so weird.
Can you please hat tip uh hashtag
chat on that please he broke that on twitter did he go is that where i saw it i don't know did he
go it was in my subconscious i'm sure that's where i i saw that did he go micro again he did dude he
has got to stop going micro vi dude i went low-key micro this weekend no one was talking about that
it's been a minute since i've gone micro i went a little micro what did you do uh i tweeted the video of the dude doing the uh the rap country
remix the dj who was just dancing you know i completely missed this oh it goes it goes hard
i'm at 285 retweets and 1k likes so i got the k next to it so we're good
what clarify what classifies as micro?
We came up with an actual number on a podcast earlier.
I know, but I don't remember that, and it was probably just talking out of our asses.
I'm going to say 300 retweets, 1,000 likes.
Is it either?
No.
I think it's either.
I don't think you need the retweets, because there's some tweets that go micro that people don't want
To share because maybe it's edgy well Dave
Viral means it's being shared a lot and that's what a retweet is but micro viral is not via have to have to go
Microvirus got to be shared so you're gonna tell me you're gonna tell me that my 285 retweets and 1k likes are not micro
You're on the cusp. Yeah, you're border. I'll give you micro. A micro watch has been issued
for the viewing counties
in this area.
Okay.
Yeah, you're on micro watch.
Hey, also,
this came up yesterday
in our group text.
What's classified to us
as what's going low?
Yeah, that's a good question.
No, we nailed it.
It's under 80.
I think it's 80 or...
It's 79 or below.
Yes, yes.
80 is not low.
80 is great.
If you say you're going low and you want to claim that you did go low,
you have to be under 80.
If you come at me and say I went low and I say,
what did you shoot?
You say 84.
I'm going to punch you in your face.
That seems like too much.
It does.
What if you played Pebble or some course and you had an 82
and that's really impressive.
I played really well at Pebble. I'm happy with my score, and you had an 82, and that's really impressive. I played really well at Pebble.
I'm happy with my score, but I shot an 82.
Yeah, I have trouble just giving out the going low tag to anything.
By this definition, your boy has never gone low.
I've gone low one time.
That's it, man.
I think I'm going to break 80 this year.
I think it's going to happen.
Do it.
If you would bring back putting Will,
the guy who putts from 200 yards off the fairway,
then yeah, there's a hole you're going to really like.
We're playing golf Thursday.
More on that maybe Wednesday.
There's a hole you're – putting Will is going to just love it.
Yes.
That's big for me.
Yeah, I don't know.
Now that I've got these new irons – or new wedges,
I think they're going to change my game a little bit.
So they're going to take some getting used to.
But I'm calling it.
This is my year.
I've had some low nines.
And if I can put together two, I think I'll be a happy boy.
Let me circle back on something that kind of got us down this path.
Oh, he did the thing.
He did it.
He did it.
If you are going to look up this Mussolini beef with Jim Carrey and you type in Mussolini,
be careful because some people are responding with some rather graphic images of Benito
Mussolini.
Of his work?
Okay.
No, of him.
Of his work.
His body of work?
Mortum.
Oh.
Like, there's some graphic photos out there.
How did he pass?
I think he was beaten to death by a mob and hung upside down.
Oh.
With his mistress, Claretta.
That's unpleasant.
Yeah.
He was a much-hated dictator in Italy, so.
Well, fascism is not the way to go.
It's not.
We're anti-fascist.
Is that our official stance?
We're not anti-fa, but we are anti-fascist.
I think that's safe to say.
Yeah, it's not a good way to live.
We don't really like labels, but I think that's one we can take.
Anti-fascist?
Yeah.
Yeah, I think that's fair.
Yeah, we'll take that.
That's fair.
Our friends over at OpenFit, you familiar with this, guys?
Yeah.

I should have just been grinding in there.
My own personal gym.
Next time this happens, you'll know.
The workouts are personalized just for you.
Because we're all different.
Yeah.
Different goals, different bodies.
They've got amazing trainers and classes.

You can even do 600 seconds with celebrity trainer Devin Wiggins.
That's the one right there.
That's the one.
You can access it anywhere, anytime, and you can get results that you can see.
Some people have reported they've lost up to 15 pounds in the first 30 days.
Think about that.
If your boy did that, he'd be trim as hell.
It's time to get in shape for summer.
It's pool season, baby.
We're almost.

We just talked about songs that hit.
Do we want to talk about Elon Musk's Harambe song?
Man, you know, the only possible way to be more late on something
would be to make a Harambe reference right now.
More late than circling back, I mean.
How long has this been now?
Harambe was like four years ago.
Oh, see, and he's late.
I thought you were saying we were late on the song.
No, no, I'm sorry.
No, that was probably just my bad.
Harambe, when Harambe dropped,
we were all working in Building 2 for our old parent company.
Yeah.
Yeah, what is he doing?
I don't know.
Maybe he started cooking this up in the lab when that happened,
and he's finally ready for the public.
This was his moment.
He was like, yeah, it's done.
I crushed it.
I finally finished it.
Here it is.
And it's absolutely terrible.
I tweeted out the lyrics to it last night from the Circling Back account. The lyrics to the entire song. Some people didn't understand it. Here it is. And it's absolutely terrible. I tweeted out the lyrics to it last night from the Circling Back account.
The lyrics to the entire song.
Some people didn't understand it.
Oh, I didn't understand.
That's what you were doing either.
No, it was.
Yeah, yeah.
You clearly didn't.
Other people didn't.
He's so late on this.
It makes no sense.
But I think that's the beauty of Elon Musk.
I think he knows that coming from him and being late on certain things and just being
the meme lord
that he is,
he knows that it'll do well
no matter what.
Do we know how many streams
this has gotten yet?
He's a SoundCloud rapper now.
It's not actually him
rapping though, right?
He had someone do it?
He's on here somewhere.
You have to think
he's not the one.
I'm very confused.
It sounds nothing like him
and he's like
the least articulate person
in the world.
I mean, his interview on Rogan, Ring the Bell.
He's just a mumbling mess the whole time.
It's not that he's not articulate.
He's just a robot who has to compute things,
and then his brain spits out the information at a slower clip.
Yeah.
What kind of hard drive is he working within
if he's just now doing Harambe jokes?
Do you think maybe he's going to try to do some t-shirts, sell some merch?
Maybe.
He should.
What was the one that you came up with?
I came up with two.
Okay.
Because we, this pulls back the curtain.
If your shirt got selected to be made when Harambe died, we got $100 cash.
And so I came up with two. My worst idea was the Cincinnati Harambes
branded to be like a sports team. That was such a bad shirt. Yeah, but I got $100 for it. And then
I dude, I was I was just throwing ideas at the wall and hoping that something stuck. My other
idea was a Trump based shirt that just said, Make Harambe Alive Again.
That's kind of funny.
That was so stupid.
But I did profit off of those, which was tight.
There's people who don't even remember what Harambe was about.
Are there kids out there who are like,
Where were you when Harambe died?
I'm trying to find...
So where's the link?
Oh, here's the link to the song.
I want to see how many...
Let's drop it. I want to see how many... Let's drop it.
I want to see how many streams this has done.
Let's play the song.
We can listen.
Give some live reactions.
Okay, I'm going to try to put the song in here,
but I'm not positive I know how to do that.
Guess how...
He's doing numbers.
I'm going to say he has 1.8 million streams.
Dylan, do you have a guess?
1.2. He just eclipsed 1 million
wow
1.01
with an M next to it
you gotta think after this podcast it'll be much higher
like a small to medium range
he's gonna get that spike
I just don't know why he's doing this
he's the CEO of a company
And he's somehow just like
Spending more time just like
Doing bits?
Trying to go viral
He's a wild man
He's a wild man
He changed his name to Young Musk
J-U-N-G
Do you think he's related to Sally?
It's hard to say
He tweeted out a column about
That says hear Elon Musk's
Surprise rap song Rest in peace Harambe And then he tagged the onion in it that says, Here, Elon Musk's surprise rap song, Rest in Peace Harambe.
And then he tagged The Onion in it, even though the column is from Rollingstone.com.
Yeah, he said he's trying to make The Onion articles real.
Which I don't think this is going to work out how he thinks.
The Onion is going to do something to eviscerate him in response.
They're not going to find this funny.
I think the guys actually rapping were Young Jake and Blood Pop.
I don't know who Blood Pop is. I love Blood Pop.
But Young Jake, I think, is the rapper.
He's verified. It's
at Young Jake with a Y-U-N-G.
And his name on Twitter is just
Lil Bitch.
So, this is where we are.
Isn't that what they called you
in high school hockey? Lil Bitch?
Is that true, Will?
What is he doing?
Dude, I don't know.
He's just trying to set him up for the post-Tesla career.
Post-SpaceX.
He tweeted a duck emoji on March 30th, and he got almost 25,000.
He went macro-viral.
There was more to that.
I saw it, and I don't know what it was. didn't feel like like looking at the replies to figure it out he said the quality
of emojis varies wildly there's been some good good emoji drops lately yeah there's some that
i'll just never use have you seen the farmer chick who's like holding like a basket of carrots
no but i feel like you're leading us into some kind of country will bit no i just don't understand like why they were like okay like we don't have like redheads doing
anything but like let's make this girl carrying a basket of carrots is she a redhead i don't know
i think they might have remedied that i don't know sally always complains about how they don't have
like redhead stuff how did country will miss the old town road wave i didn't you did i didn't it's
too rap for me i'm way more country than that song but you
should have been all over that man well did you see that george straight dropped an album the
other day and the cover of the album was the broken spoke george straight dropped an album
i guess that's what intern klein told me klein and i had a dinner and he was like yeah george
straight put out some new music today and the covers uh the broken he's only retired about 15
times well he's the king well we thought about we were like dude and the cover is The Broken Spoke he's only retired about 15 times in the last year
he's the king
well we thought about
we were like dude
if the cover is
The Broken Spoke
what are the chances
that on the day
that this drops
he goes and plays
The Broken Spoke
we were like
do we need to go
have some Lone Stars there
man
we didn't
we ended up going home
and playing FIFA
against one another
but still
I believe he was in town
for South by South
well he lives here
doesn't he
around here
San Antonio area
San Antonio
I think he's in the,
where Tony Parker and them
are, which is a really nice.
It's that song,
San Antonio by morning.
It's not the song.
San Antonio by morning.
But he was here
for South by Southwest
and he took a picture
in front of the broken spoke.
I do remember that.
Is that the album cover
you're talking about?
That's probably it.
Is he standing in front of it?
I couldn't tell.
It was really small on Spotify.
He's like kind of squatted down
throwing the deuce. I don't think that's it? I couldn't tell. It was really small on Spotify. He's kind of squatted down, throwing the deuce.
I don't think that's it.
He's not dropping a mixtape here, Dave.
What if it was a mixtape?
He's got a lot of features.
Is Lil Nas X on it?
Is that when he just jumped the shark?
He's got a little baby on there.
What else are we doing here i don't know trap boy freddy
yellow bees by the way i i didn't know who nipsey rutt or hustle was until he passed i never heard the name but so he is someone i discovered via spotify the miracle of spotify he would pop up
on like push a T Radio or something.
Do you have any bangers?
Yeah.
Double Up's a good one.
I don't know a bunch of his stuff.
I had never heard of him.
R.I.P. Nipsey.
Apparently a pretty solid dude.
That's the saddest thing
is seeing all the community stuff he did.
The lot?
Yeah.
He was one of those guys
that's bigger than a rapper.
He does a lot of business work and stuff.
Nipsey Hussle, that's a great name.
I like that.
You don't see that, too.
You don't see that.
No, there's only one.
Yeah, Nipsey.
Dude.
And of course, man, Twitter is such a fucking cesspool.
Why?
Because, so afterward it happens,
it just says that Sickshot or whatever whatever outside of his store in Los Angeles.
So I'm like, oh shit.
I know the name.
I'm familiar with some of his works.
I'm typing his name.
There's people out there posting video of paramedics trying to revive him.
Oh.
Like, dude.
What are you doing?
No.
Respect the man.
He's got a family.
Legit has a family his his album is or yeah his
album is number two right now on uh the itunes charts really yeah top song is god's country
blake shelton i can tell you i've never heard it but i bet it's a trash song number three is
our friend lil nas x with old town road how much money is that going to make him? I don't know.
That's pretty amazing.
You saw the Atlanta Hawks had him out,
and they did a whole bit with him.
Oh, Dylan matched that RT button.
I did.
Is that okay?
He seems to be having a lot of fun.
He seems like a fun dude.
He also caught the follow on Twitter from your boy.
What?
That's a hard follow to get.
He clobbed back at Billboard.
He was talking about how one of his tweets was like,
man, someone came up and took a picture with me.
I'm starting to feel famous.
Watching him on the come up is fun.
I've got to give a shout to the listener who saw me on hole 14 or 15.
I was talking to my buddy Grant.
He's not in this atmosphere of ours. He knows the pod he's not like an avid listener this guy just goes d-man
yells d-man yo d-man can i get a pick i was like yes it comes over shakes my hand gets a pick
and that was it in and out but uh that's the first time anyone's yelled d-man i like that
i had a someone yelled bring it, bring back the forums to me.
I saw on Twitter today, our friend Delph.
He said you were bringing back the forums.
What was that tweet about?
I think it was April Fool's joke.
Oh, God.
I forgot that's today.
Son of a bitch.
Arguably the worst day of the year.
It's so lame.
Aren't y'all glad that we don't work in an office where we would have to worry about co-workers pulling that i don't want to work in an office but part of me wishes that you worked in an office
just because i feel like you'd get really good content i would have trolling your fellow employees
well dude that's kind of that's how pgp started yeah exactly like you're tailor-made to like rip
on that stuff and should i get like a side get a side hustle working as an IT guy or something?
See, it's too bad that you're not an accountant because that's the perfect one day a week
in an office job for somebody that doesn't need a full-time accountant because you could
easily just get the content from there.
If anybody has a company in Austin that's doing really, really well and you want to
hire a biz dev guy or a sales guy who only comes in two days a week.
No, that's too many. day a week but you still pay pay me benefits and not only me but you pay
will and dylan benefits too thank you that'd be great hit me up at d carter rough on twitter and
snap at dc rough on instagram there you go because i would definitely entertain it if it's six figure
salary yeah oh yeah actually i would do it for less than that since it's only one day a week i'd
take like 90 uh but i want like an eat what you kill thing like so i get like hella commission
wow that's all i'm saying i don't i don't want commission i i just want the straight
like same check every week just a nice base yeah yeah because i'm not going to do any work
outside of the office like it's just
pretty much the gig
is me just doing client lunches
and client dinners
just hanging out
and I get access to ACL
and South by
and the match play next year
like to all the tents
like it's a pretty dope thing
and I get
like a highly desirable position
well I'm just setting the terms here
so they know what they're getting into
when they start the negotiations I I just want good snacks.
Just give me a Nature Valley Bar in the morning
and some beef jerky in the afternoon.
Cold brew on tap.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's amazing we never manufactured
a tap for cold brew.
We never got that anywhere near us.
We could still make that happen at some point.
Yeah, I guess.
We could get one in the stew.
Dave will get too fired up If Dave has unlimited cold brewing from him
You might be on one
Well not only that
But I'm going to be
In the men's room every 20 minutes
Doing what?
Just say it
You know you want to say it
You know you want to say it
What?
Getting a doody off?
No
Getting a tinky off?
The thing that i'm known for
peeing yeah you pee so much man yeah okay i get it i don't understand it why don't you shut up
poor dave i mean i've gone on record saying that my bladder is beast we're gonna find out it's
something serious and then you're gonna we're gonna have to review the tape and you're gonna
look like a dickhead no come on don't do that you gotta put you have to have positive thoughts here it's nothing serious
um my bladder is not your punchline
that's so keep in mind i got lean all in my bladder why why are we doing this
i thought we're still doing the old town Road thing. Is that what he says?
I don't think that's a line, is it?
It absolutely is.
I only know the seconds of it that I've heard on TikTok.
I'll be honest, the first time I heard it,
I thought it was Hotel Road.
Because I heard it through a trashy-ass Twitter video.
I was like, what's Hotel Road?
Well, I don't know if this is true.
If someone out there wants to correct me,
I'm pretty sure the song got popular because it was in so many TikToks.
Serious?
Yeah, dude, it's everywhere.
I think it's all Red Dead.
It's Red Dead 2 references too, right?
Really?
Yeah.
I don't know.
I'm out that.
Hey, how's your video game stuff been going?
Been getting murked.
I'm getting better at one one area with this thing
called blackout where you just play solo but then on team deathmatch i'm getting smoked there's a
guy i guess as a listener hit me up he messaged me on there and i guess he was either in my game
did he break up with you he just goes dave you need to talk about this performance or lack thereof
on the podcast and i was like i didn't even respond because i don't respond you did something
noble that i didn't do when you when you bought a system you decided to start playing games that you'd
never played before oh i was a black i was a black ops guy oh you were way back okay okay because like
i part of the reason i refuse to play anything but fifa i have two reasons one i just don't want to
get addicted to a new game i'd rather wear out fifa and then play it less and two because there's
no learning curve for me.
I already know how to do it, so I already know I can beat people.
You're completely right.
The learning curve is almost too much on these shooter games.
It's not enjoyable.
As somebody coming into a game, you can't even compete.
You can't even do well.
No.
It takes forever.
You have to play for hours and hours, and I don't have the time.
These kids, and the kids these days, I feel like they can pick it up way faster than we can.
Yes. I have no clue. Doing a shooter game, and the kids these days, I feel like they can pick it up way faster than we can. Yes.
I have no, like, doing a shooter game,
there's too much shit going on.
I watch these videos of, like, Fortnite and stuff.
I don't watch them, like, regularly.
I see them on Twitter, and I'm like,
I can't, my brain can't wrap itself around this.
So Black Ops, there's a thing called a kill cam.
So after you get got, you can watch how the guy did it.
So from his point of view.
And, like, half the time,, it's like, it's him.
He's running.
And then out of nowhere, he just turns his, his, uh, scope is directly on my head and it's just over my, how did you do that?
That shot would have taken me like five seconds just to even consider taking.
Yeah.
I'd be like setting up.
I would be setting up a shot and I'd just get sniped from somewhere.
I feel like, I feel like a lot of these guys are beating the system,
cheating the game somehow.
At least that's what
I'm telling myself.
You think they're doing Adderall?
They're doing the lag thing.
There was a really big
Adderall issue
in professional gaming.
Maybe I need to do more Vyvanse.
There was.
It was like an issue.
They had to start banning it,
I think.
I think it's a banned substance.
Is it a banned substance?
I think it's a banned substance now.
It probably should be.
I think it is.
Because these guys
could sit there for way longer
than somebody that wasn't taking it. I've always thought professional Because these guys could sit there for way longer than somebody that wasn't
taking it.
I've always thought
professional poker,
it's got to be a
banned substance for
that too.
I imagine they're
all on average.
Do you think that
would help?
Yeah.
See, for me, I
almost feel like it
would make me too...
Yeah.
Yeah.
I feel like it would
make me too...
Oh, I would just be
laser focused out
then.
Be like, let's
fucking run it.
I feel like it would
make me more urgent
and I'd be like,
I'm going to fuck
you up right now.
And then go too hard on some hands that maybe didn't deserve it wonder if it's banned is the modern day so you know i used to be like the the fat dude in his parents basement
playing video games now is it just like a methed out adderall like skinny yeah like meth teeth
exactly and it's like he's got like three screens in front of
him and he's sitting in a chair that has like the headrest behind him and like his computer
screens have like blue ambient light that like echoes in and out from bottom of the screen
just weird maybe i need that yeah don't get too into gaming have you thought of getting a pc and
just being a pc gamer that's one thing I never fucked with.
I have been having fun.
I couldn't play it.
As you know, the couch cushions, they took me out of the game for like two weeks on FIFA.
But I had some fun playing last night, playing some backers and stuff.
I don't like that I'm a Sunday night video game guy now, though.
Yeah, you don't want to get your adrenaline going Sunday night.
I was getting absolutely smoked, so I can't really talk.
You can add me at Will DeFreeze if you want to play.
Yeah, I'm at FajitaBoySwag on Xbox.
That's so much better because mine is so lame.
Our friends over at HIMSS,
are you guys aware that 66% of men lose their hair by age 35?
Yeah, I know.
It's really unfortunate for those.
Why did I just have so much trouble saying that?
You said 66.
Because you're scared it's going to be you.
Yeah.
I am scared.
I think we all are.
The thing is, when you start to notice hair loss, it's too late.
It's easier to keep the hair you have than replace the hair you've lost.
Yeah, definitely.
I mean, it's tough out there. Yeah. It's tough out there for a woman have than replace the hair you've lost Yeah definitely I mean it's tough out there
Yeah
Pretty tough
Thanks to science baldness can be optional
HIMSS connects you with real doctors and medical grade solutions
To treat hair loss
They've got well known generic equivalents to name brand prescriptions
To help you keep your hair
All you have to do is just take a few photos of your scalp
Toss them over there
They'll evaluate them and let you know You don't have to do is just take a few photos of your scalp, toss them over there.
Do it all for alone.
That's the best part of this.
You don't have to go to see a doctor.
A few days later, you've got a package showing up to your door,
and all of a sudden, you can keep the hair that you have.
You've got thick lettuce up there.
It's super easy.
Thick lettuce.
We're doing thick lettuce.
I don't know.
Maybe.
I love it.
Right now, if you order it,
our listeners can get a trial month of HIMSS for $5.
It's while supplies last, obviously,
so I would recommend going sooner than later.
You can see the website for full details.
This would normally cost you hundreds if you went to the doctor or pharmacy.
Go to 4himss.com slash steam, S-T-E-A-M.
That's F-O-R-H-I-M-S dot com slash steam,
4himss.com slash steam. Boom. t-e-a-m that's f-o-r-h-i-m-s dot com slash team for him dot com slash team boom we covered a lot of ground on this here podcast we did we had a worst weekend story teed up and we didn't even
get to it because like we were swagging too hard you want to give us like a cliff's notes of it
um i guess yeah a girl was at a guy's house and she went back and they smoked weed together.
Huh.
And she started to have the realization that the guy that she was with might be in love with her sister.
Okay.
Like what?
So they had a...
Wait, never mind.
This is going a different way.
Yeah.
So what happened?
I don't know.
They didn't call the sister up?
No, they didn't holler.
But...
Wow, that's...
Did he have
a shrine to her sister
she stumbled upon?
It was apparently
just one single thing that was just like,
what? What's going on here?
I don't know.
You had an older sister. Did your friends have crushes
on your older sister or anything?
Why don't you just stop right there?
Why?
She was significant. Actually, was older old enough for you that like you
probably didn't have to worry about that no but i mean i still got it was a common trope back then
yeah like i i still was that guy yeah my friend's the pod so this is awkward my friends were pretty
like nice about like me having an older sister but they all had older ones too
sorry i wasn't trying to disrespect no no no i'm just i'm just yeah it was just like nice about me having an older sister, but they all had older ones, too.
Sorry, I wasn't trying to disrespect your sister. No, no, no, I'm just...
Yeah, it was just like...
I mean, some of our friends had cute sisters.
Some of our friends had cute moms.
Oh, shit.
Whoa.
Just saying.
Stacy's mom has got it going on. Yeah,'t have any i didn't know we're not doing
that what fountains of wayne it's probably time to go should we get out of here yeah we'll be back

believe we're ending this on a fountains of wayne reference yeah there. No, it's not. Yeah.
Bring back Country Will.
I was thinking about just doing like
mid-90s punk Will
or mid-2000s punk Will.
I'll do nothing
but Christian punk Dave
and I just reference MXPX.
Hey, I do want to give
a special shout out
to the backer out there
who got my Atari's reference
the other day.
Yeah.
I think only one person
reached out regarding it.
Dave's usually the one who does references that go over people's heads but I nailed my Atari's reference the other day. I think only one person reached out regarding it. Dave's usually the one who does references that go over
people's heads, but I nailed my Atari's
reference. I only do Atari Teenage
Riot references. Wow.
If you haven't signed up for Patreon,
go do it. You can listen to every single back episode.
We got 11 episodes in
the hopper that are just incredible.
Somebody
complained that we shouldn't ever do
a podcast that's less
than an hour long and i went back and looked we've literally never done an episode of circling back
that's less than an hour you know how they'd be yeah it'd be like that though yeah wait how long
was this one this felt long uh we're at 110 right now think about that damn let's go get some
off and have ourselves a monday let's do it thanks guys Bye.
