one of the coldest point guards i ever played against and played with probably the fastest one of the nicest dudes you ever meet i'm surprised he hasn't won one of the awards
for the nicest dudes in the nba for sure but uh my dog it's smith hey man i appreciate y'all having me yeah man appreciate you pull up
the 520 man all right now you fast and say obviously we know that who is the one player
you played against was like damn he might be faster than me him over there oh really yeah no
i'm not gassy man i i don't think people understand like we know derrick rose
his that mvp yeah he was on one and then uh john wall was fast yeah but jeff westbrook westbrook
was fast too yeah westbrook was fast nah but you remember when you and ty lawson went at it
before you get going there i was talking to marvin williams today
Whoa, whoa, whoa.
Before you get going there, I was talking to Marvin Williams today.
Shout out to Marvin Williams.
Marvin, yeah.
So we was talking.
I was like, yo, remember that Carolina game?
Man.
Hey, Jeff looked at the bench.
What you got?
Hey, man, I don't even want to go there.
This whole thing can't guard me.
I said, yo, Jeff was on one.
Matter of fact, I didn't even look at the rim that whole game.
I was like, man, I'm throwing it to Jeff the whole game.
What did it say about me, man?
It's about you.
Nah, nah, nah, nah.
Nah, cats need to know, like, I'm looking at the camera.
Like, I know we get the podcast, we joke around. You know what I mean?
We have a good time.
But cats need to know, like, Jeff Teague, man, he was, he was, he was, you know what I mean?
Like, he was him.
He really was.
No, but him and Ty Lawson in that game, they went layup for layup.
That shit was crazy.
I had four points that game.
He had 34.
He had 34.
Man, listen, when you, and that's just the mark of a point guard.
Like, my job was to make sure he ate.
Like, he was rolling.
And so, like, I gave him the ball, and he kept it going.
But those five dudes, like, Jeff, Ty Lawson was fast, too, myself.
Fast as shit.
John Wall, Derrick Rose, Russell Westbrook.
They was fast.
Fast as shit.
Yeah, they was fast.
Who else, man?
Have you caught some deer fuck smoke yet?
Yo, he was fast.
That's one of the fastest.
Yo, he, like, when he first came in the league, yeah, he up there, too.
D-Fox up there, too.
The thing about D-Fox, though, he ain't got me yet because as soon as he score,
man, get the ball out quick.
I'm running right at you.
You better be doing like this.
So, yeah, nah, he ain't embarrassed me yet.
He ain't, nah.
But he, this year he might have, my knees, I got to warm my knees up, man.
That's crazy.
That's crazy.
Oh, Paul.
Paul.
Paul.
Warming the book is crazy, bro.
Y'all already be letting him.
He hit the vision, too.
He's like, hey, I got to.
Because I already be looking at y'all when y'all be letting them trainers get y'all ready for the game.
I'm like, y'all, these niggas is wild.
What's wrong with them?
They're doing their job, man.
They don't want niggas to get hurt.
What's wrong with them?
These athletic trainers is wild.
We need to start adding them to the photography list.
They up there with the party promoters.
For sure. Sorry, Mike. Y'all. is just wild we just started adding them to the photography list with the party promoters for sure
yeah so uh nah but d fox d fox is uh i seen the pod we used to talk about uh d fox he
he wanted them too man but uh my career from show
for real niggas to him it is garland yeah for sure But man We gotta start out With the origins man Obviously we know
You from North Carolina man
When did you start
Off playing ball
And how did that
Start for you
Man I was a kid
Like my dad
I think he
Shout out Coach Smith
Yeah my dad
Like he wanted to
Like play basketball
Everybody used to
Joke around
Like he used to
Play in the 35 and over
Church League
And so like for him
Like that was his thing
Like he wanted to
And I think he just You know put all that into me at paul's and uh wanted me to like
now you're good you can talk about pops yeah anybody outside the film yeah i got you i got
i gotta make sure i'm on point uh so uh yeah it started my dad like and my sister she she who
um my brother jeff know all them like my they played a my didn't play at the highest level
But they uh, that's what kind of started when I was a kid and started when it was key
I played church league when I was like five seasons old and then I kind of just ran with from there
Yeah, that's when you realize you was faster than everybody else if I yeah, you know, what's crazy?
I always been fast i i can tell yeah
i always been fast like and it ain't on like if we got on the line and like ran suicide i'm not
that fast but as soon as we get a basketball like and not like i was out literally the fastest with
a ball ever shane man when jeff wanted to be fast he wanted to jeff he he but but this is what i
learned too cases and like a run full court crossing over.
Run as fast as everybody.
I used to work on that during the gym.
That shit was crazy.
Damn, what, full speed crossovers?
Yeah, I used to work on it.
Yeah, I was on you and Eric Gordon doing that shit as kids.
Yeah.
I heard Eric Gordon was a problem, man.
A nigga be biggest problem.
He probably one of the best high school players to ever play basketball.
Yeah, I was talking to Gordon Hayward.
He was talking about all the boys that It was in Indiana basketball doing that time
Yeah, nice run
Probably all had it all
And what's crazy is Gordon was cold, but like he was away. He was my year Jeff is all seven
So they had our sectional a lot
Imagine being as good as you are and still having to deal with another nba player in your sectional that's crazy indiana basketball especially that time period was
different because everybody had a pro player at one point damn damn news was it like that where
you was from man honestly uh we had jamie skiing uh jamie was good man uh he went to vcu that was
a final four run who was steph was from you know i grew up playing with steph uh funny
story yo so jeff we watching uh jeff it came to we was at oh yeah um what's a little joint when
you go in the back door i don't even remember that wait so you came to the room hung out we
used to play the game at uh at uh phase room okay so we was playing video games and um and jeff like this is steph
the first year steph at hoop yeah i was like yeah you know i used to play hey you were steph
just no you didn't man i said yeah you don't remember my play like i played you in one of
the cases so they end up doing something i think all america yeah all-american thing and uh jeff
was like oh you did play and you went yeah yeah
that's like you know my god ish i was like yeah i was like this for real
i was like i was like it was a two named donnell mack that was danielle so donnell that's
the homie so he worked uh he he do training oh yeah so yeah so uh he was getting me ready for
the season and then i ain't gonna lie to you like. And then I ain't going to lie to you.
Like, I was like, I ain't trying to play no more.
Like, I was really, like, chilling.
And that's still my guy.
We talk all the time.
But, yeah, D-Mac.
Yeah, that nigga was at a five-star camp with me, bro, a while back.
He was the Denver to the Coast nigga in the gym.
Yo, five-star crazy.
Y'all can play him with C-Man.
Yeah, yeah.
LD Smith was in from North Carolina, too, ain't he?
Who, LD Williams?
LD Williams. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He was there, too. That's hard. LD Smith was in from North Carolina too, ain't he? Who, LD Williams? LD Williams.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
He was there too.
That's Jeff.
Nah.
Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah.
LD, one of the most athletic, all jokes aside.
We got it.
We got it.
Nah, we got it.
It's the word.
Nah, nah, nah.
L was, that's our guy, man.
Yeah.
Crazy bounce.
Shout out to him.
Crazy bounce.
Shout out.
He working with the G League now.
J2.
Oh, yeah, yeah. He worked for Brooklyn G League, right?
Yup, man, yo, that, what I'm talking about,
athletic, can defend, two-time All-Defensive.
We had a, man, we had a super talented team,
but LD was there, who else was there?
I don't know, who else was there?
Donnell Mack.
They had a nigga named Sonnyny I can't think of that
We'll get back to it
Damn you tapped in
Yeah
The real North Carolina
Yeah bro
I told you bro
Worldwide wish bro
I took my job bro
I was supposed to be
Scamming these little niggas
A long time ago bro
The high school niggas
Is part of my resume
For sure
I had some cold niggas In North Carolina i just know y'all don't really get
spoke on everybody always speak on the high school basketball back then we was like prominent big for
sure but pause but y'all dc north carolina new york y'all had some too out there bro
ld's by the point when he's growing up damn what the fuck? Yeah, he used to play at Point. You ain't know that, Jay? Nah, hell nah.
Yeah, he used to play at Point growing up.
Who else is, remember, used to play at Carolina?
Will Graves?
Oh yeah, Will Graves had a clip, nigga.
Yeah, he was nice.
For sure, that's 06 class.
Yup.
That nigga really tapped in.
I guess I know.
This nigga really might have been a Tar Heel fan.
He might be from North Carolina.
I told you, I really like. He did like the Tar Heels fan. He might be from North Carolina. I told you, bro.
I really like.
So, obviously, Carolina, who was your squad?
Who you grew up with?
Growing up, I ain't going to lie to you, man.
My fault, Wake Forest.
It was Carolina.
How did you get to Wake?
Like, why'd you go to Wake?
Oh, well, I ain't going to lie to you.
So, when I was a kid, like, Muggsy Bowes was my favorite player.
Okay.
I knew I wasn't going to be tall.
So, I was like, man, Muggsy, he fast, whatever the case is.
So I knew he went to Wake Forest.
Then Wake had this other buzz with Tim Duncan, Randolph Childress.
So I'm like, oh, I bet.
Carolina was like, I ain't going to lie to you,
like they had Antoine Jameson, Vince Carter.
Man, they was loaded.
They had them here.
Ed Cota.
Yeah, they was good. Yeah, they was. Ed C them heated. Ed Cota. Yeah, they was cold.
Yeah, they was.
Ed Cota.
That's a, what a name.
Cota Fluff, man.
They was cold-blooded, like, from top to bottom.
And so, like, I was a fan of them.
But, you know what I mean?
I was thinking as I started getting older, like, man, they ain't recruiting me.
Like, they recruit outside of the state or wherever they were going.
You know what I mean?
And they're Carolinas, so they can get who they want.
So, then all of a sudden, Jay, like, we, we what happened they are and then Chris Paul came well Josh our Josh our
he was a nice day and then wait for us always recruited North Carolina kids and
they would use it to be like yo Duke and Carolina ain't offering y'all and so
that we use that like to go play them when we were you know different things
like I don't know how we got JT paul yeah see that's what it was like chris had that buzz going we was like yo
and you know i i ain't want to play no princess that offense so i want to play fast
uh but uh that's that's really be honest with you like i was like yo this point guard you if you
really think about wake forest like it's really point guard You really think about it Like what other schools You thinking about though
I was gonna say
I don't know nobody else
They let us play
Like the NBA game
For real
I saw the Kentucky
Offhand
I can't think of
Too many schools
That just consistently
Put out guards
At that level
Especially league guards
But who outside
Like you got Kentucky
You got John Wall
And Eric Blesa
Oh no they got
That's a delineate
Oh yeah Jamal Murray That's a delineate. Oh, yeah.
Jamal Murray.
It's okay.
You had a brain for it.
They got delineate.
I don't even like them niggas, but I got to show respect.
They got delineate.
But you know what?
It just like, though, and then like the last 10 years, Cal started like.
Yeah, Cal.
Cal got there.
It got ugly.
So you trying to give.
My brother with it.
Shout out to my brother.
You trying to get it shipped
To Wake Forest
For a point guard
You though
Nah I ain't gonna say that
After you start naming
All them
Yeah once you
Nah nah nah
Once you start naming
All them we done
Oh man
Which I got rings though
We do got rings
Talk about it
Yeah we got rings
Oh
Man that was a crazy ride
JT you go ahead man
Nah
You got yours first.
My ring don't mean nothing.
How was the Wake Forest years, bro?
Your first year, how was your first year at Wake?
First year, it wasn't good.
Like, yeah, it wasn't good, man.
We was like 15 and 16.
We was like five and 11 in the ACC.
Bro, I tore a ligament in my thumb.
I had never been hurt before in my life.
Like, tore a ligament in my thumb I had never been hurt before in my life like tore a ligament in my thumb uh like this was crazy about college man like you know god rest his soul skip process
like uh I remember I tore my ligament we playing in air force and my thumb so my thumb like
is down here and skip like man you know I recruited like tough guy I'm like yeah like
I'm like dang like all right man let me let me take it every time
somebody hit like i would get this rush to my arm so we finished the season whatever the case is but
we knew we had a like a really good recruiting class and james jeff and gary so we was like yo
we're gonna be straight we're gonna be better next year we're gonna be way better next year
and when they came in man we just got like my sophomore and junior year we was
yeah we was turned man we had weight yo we turned we had weight like man we had weight turned up i'm
talking about people used to come into the practice facility and like sit in there and watch us
practice now i'm talking about i'm saying play pickup yeah they're sitting in there like hey yo
you know hey what time y'all playing pickup we was like oh yeah. They're sitting in there like, hey, yo, you know, hey, what time y'all playing pickup?
We was like, oh, yeah, we're going to be in there like 4 o'clock.
They used to sit in there and be like locked in,
be like 50 people in the gym just watching.
I'm like, yo, it was crazy because we had talent.
I mean, you think about the talented guys. We had four guys that played 10 plus years in the league.
Facts.
And I'm talking about like, you know, legit.
They weren't just on the team, whatever the case is.
Contributors.
Yeah. So that's crazy. That don't usually happen. And I'm talking about like you know legit no one they weren't just on the team whatever the case is yeah
so That's crazy out. They don't usually happen
And wait ain't ain't seen it since they definitely won't cuz of y'all and I'm looking right here
They just again right here. Yes, sir. Hey wait
Get my boy in the Hall of Fame and his jersey retire
ah hell no they ain't gonna do that no no no no let's go let's start it
hey i'm being dead serious because i said about white force man yeah but but we talking about listen we talking about on the court though talk about it we talking about on the court you got to
give him his respect all-american um what was the second team which is crazy then he got second team
all acc but was an all- america that's why i compare
me antonio brown all the time that's the energy yo they think about it second team all acc
listen we was the number one team in the country that's only happened one other time that's chris
paul yeah you averaged 20 in college you know how hard it is to average 20 in college
bro that's hard.
And then a champion, all-star.
Come on, man. That nigga did his thing, for sure.
Yeah, like...
Talk about his off-court activity, bro.
Nah, Jake, you know what? That was my dude.

so we go hoop i'm going straight at him and he going back at me and i'm like damn he can hoop
i'm like fuck it i'm gonna keep going so we start talking and shit i'm like yeah shoot nigga he
like he going back he was like he looked at me he was like all right bet the nigga started doing
he started doing a pick and roll called waggle i ain't never guarding no screen in a row man they killing us and all the football players in there like oh

man that nigga i i was like i'm gonna take his spot i think it was like, man, that nigga, I was like, I'm going to take his spot. That nigga was like, nah, bro.
But you know what we did, though, man?
One thing about me, man, my mom and dad taught me this.
You respect everybody, like their game, what they can do.
I learned this when I was young.
So you know in your area, you the coldest in your area.
I went to the Nike Jamboree.
I don't know if y'all remember that Nike Jamboree.
It was insane.
Oh, yeah, I did.
I'm tapped in.
So I went to the Nike Jamboree. Man, I see Der y'all remember that. Nike Jamboree was insane. Oh, yeah, I do. I'm tapped in. So I went to the Nike Jamboree.
Man, I see Derrick.
I'm like, yo, Kevin Love.
I'm like, oh, I ain't that good.
But it taught me, like, yo, these dudes all over this country, they got game.
So when Jeff came, I was just like, yo, he just going to make us better.
And our games, we both needed the ball.
But I was like, man, do man do you like i ain't tripping
and so like his freshman year he averaged 14 and then his second year he averaged 20. and he'd tell
you like all right the donkey hat oh uh in uh maryland oh i was like man i'm giving it to the
homie like you don't remember that yeah yeah yeah like man different hey i'm trying to say
that's a real say he's the nicest
person i ever well i'm also somebody i know like so for jay like you just got paul's like cracking
shit like that's what i said paul that's what i said paul you had enough time to pick You just got to get to know the nigga. Crack the shell on one of them ones.
Crab leg teeth.
Yo.
Don't start that. Don't start that hashtag.
That's what the text message is.
But that's how Jay is.
I'm trying to crack the shell.
No.
Ninja Turtle.
No D12, man.
Yo.
Oh, my God. Tell the story, man. Yo. Oh, my God.
Tell the story, Israel.
Tell the story.
So with Jay, like, you know how he is.
Like, he try to come off like, yo, I ain't talking to nobody.
Like, I'm locked in.
And this is the thing I did.
I did love about him.
Like, he knew what he wanted when he came into school.
Like, he knew, like, yo, I'm going to be here for a little bit, then I'm out.
Like, yo, I ain't coming in here.
Like, I remember.
Yo, who would you work it out with?
First day at workouts, he was shooting.
And somebody was like, hey, we could get you a shoot.
He was like, I ain't doing that.
Like, yo, this is it.
No, he was real.
Like, he was like, I ain't doing that.
Like, y'all recruited me, average 20-something in high school,
with this same jump shot.
Facts.
And I was like, dang.
Now, Ish was all gullible.
They was, shoot like this.
Do it like this.
And I was, man, all flicked and everything.
Jeff was like, nah, this is how I'm doing it.
Like, yo, I ain't changing.
And I respected that.
Like, he was like, he knew what he wanted to do.
He'd be like, yo, Ish, I ain't lifting no weights.
I'm just doing push-ups and sit-ups.
That's all he was doing. He said, fuck the weight you're doing man them niggas was whipped man they was crazy he was crazy bro man y'all talking about nigga arms
bro oh yeah we but they had it was on steroids bro that's all they had us doing he was so strong
i was like that's when i started lifting because i was like now but jay used to just do push-ups
like push-ups sit-ups i come in the room i come holler
uh him and g and jimmy in that door push-up
with this loose white beat
i was on prison workout he was just getting it like
yeah for real and so uh but like just stuff like that, he was already, like,
and this is why I give him a lot of,
he already knew what he wanted when he came into school.
Like, y'all, you could see somebody, like, he was going, like,
y'all, I'm locked in.
I'm locked in.
And so, for me, it was a situation where I was like, dang, y'all.
So I ain't never, like, had no ill will to him.
Nah, that was my guy.
Like, he don't know this.
Like, we took it.
And then he be trying to fake on people.
So we had a class.
I'm about to tell you.
We had a class.
So Jeff act like he don't know what's going on, what we doing.
And we had a public speaking class, right?
Oh, damn.
And so people be sitting in there like, yeah, man, Jeff, yeah, you know,
you're so articulate.
You know, I mean, I call them YTs. You know what I mean? Like they, you know what I so articulate You know I mean I call them YTs
You know what I mean
Like they
You know what I mean
So articulate
Whatever I'm like
Y'all I can just
Know how to switch it up
I can be around y'all
And then I go there
And like be cool
So Jeff get up there
And when I say
This negro
I'm talking about
He gave the best speech
People sitting there
Like this
Like
We didn't know
Jeff was
dead that shit dead now
he killed it did he change his voice
he did
I was like wait for it
he did but the thing
I respected it though like I said like
when he came in I knew he was cold
and I knew like if we was gonna get
to where we wanted to get to like he had to
be the best version of him James had to be the best version in a Farouk LD chase
David we all those guys had to be the best version of him and we won't go in if he wasn't getting a dub
It was just a fact like he might I ain't true cuz you
You the reason we all got better cuz he was like you was motivated like we always motivated differently
But you would like push everybody like we go on motivated differently, but you would, like, push everybody. Like, we going to hoop.
Like, some of our teammates didn't want to go.
No, they didn't want to go.
So, he would say something like, that's why we was sad last year.
Yeah.
And then they had come hoop.
Like, he was, like, the leader.
It was no if, ands, or buts.
He was the leader.
Remember?
Second day.
So, his first year, we, like, you know what I mean?
We were, like, we actually should have made it to the NIT that year.
We should have.
Oh, I can't wait to talk about tournaments.
Since you the fucking leader.
Yeah, he was definitely a leader.
I got something for your ass.
He was our leader.
I will.
I got something for your ass, but finish your story, King.
Nah, look, yeah.
Let's talk about that second year.
What happened?
That second year.
You should have led that.
He was the leader.
Go ahead and talk to him.
Hey.
That was his team.
Yo, there's so much I think about.
Remember when we was in the locker room?
When we lost?
When we lost?
And Jay said.
To Cleveland State, right?
Jay said, yeah, I'm going to the league, y'all.
Hey, Harv, man, I apologize.
I'm going to tell this story.
So Harv was sitting there crying like, man, y'all got so much talent.
And man, y'all sitting here.
Yeah, Harv. And Jay said. I'm talking'all got so much talent. And man, y'all sitting here. Yeah, Harv.
And Jay's there.
I'm talking about everybody got their hands down.
And like, Harv crying.
And I felt bad for Harv because it was his senior year.
Yeah, it was.
Jeff had the choice to come back and go.
James had the choice to come back and go.
Farouk had a choice.
You know what I mean?
We all was like, Harv was like the only seeing him, Mike Lepore, and Bobby Hosh.
But Harv was like,
man, y'all got all this talent.
All of a sudden,
he's getting quiet.
Jay said,
hey man,
shut that up, man.
And then that nigga said,
I'm going to the league.
Yeah, that's what he said.
I said,
deal.
This is the bad part about it is,
you know how you get a woman,
your mama tell you like,
hey, suck it up.
That's what he was.
I know.
I'm trying to.
Like, I was trying to like.
He was like.
I'm like, oh, man.
Most dudes be like, hey, man, this is my career.
Like, yeah, man.
They don't know who James Johnson is.
No, they don't know who James Johnson is.
Oh, I do.
Y'all don't know who James is.
You remember that one day I got out of pocket with James?
And I was like. I remember that. I was like, man, I don't give a fuck. is you remember that guy out of pocket with james and i was like
i remember that i was like no i don't give a you heard about it you love that
and james said say less i was like oh that whole practice i was just looking at that
yo they about to kill me they were like best friends and then all of a sudden like
they had a spec like they had us spec uh james and jeff they were
like best friends like they came in what was y'all three what was your name yeah fellow fellow
fresh so they came in i didn't know about this rap group yeah i know right they did everything
together and so jeff was like ascending james was ascending like james was averaging like 16 a game
jeff was averaging It was hooping.
And my job was to be like, man, I got to connect everybody together.
And so all of a sudden, I think they both was going the same place,
but they was like, I don't know what it was.
So in practice, they just went off.
We were like, man, what's going on?
Then all of a sudden, said he said say less we was
looking like he never said nothing like that yeah i was like ah shit i was like that was new lingo
yeah i was like yeah i talked to but i'm thinking about him like damn not this motherfucker i fight
everybody but not him that nigga said i'm gonna fuck you up i said that nigga sound like the
terminator oh shit i was no wonder that nigga sound like the Terminator. Oh, shit.
I was like, no wonder.
That nigga Gary was like,
don't worry,
but I ain't gonna let y'all fight.
I said,
please be there.
Cause he was like the peacemaker.
Shout out to G.
I was like,
please be there, bro.
Hey, it's funny.
We at the free throw line.
You remember?
Yo,
you don't forget nothing, bro.
Yo,
I remember.
Yo,
we at the free throw line,
y'all.
We playing against,
dang,
Jeff, I think this might have been your first 30-point game.
We was playing in a, this is where I knew he was going to be nice.
We went to Anaheim.
Yeah.
We hit the free throw line.
We playing against, who was the little short, Culpepper?
Yeah, UTEP.
UTEP.
So we, man, we going back and forth with them.
And so we hit the free throw line.
It's James, the dude from UTEP, me, Jeff on the other side across from me,
and then there was another UTEP player,
and I think it might have been like Chase or something down there,
or Farouk.
And so James going back and forth with the dude.
They talking crazy to each other.
And James said, hey, Ish, Jeff, y'all better tell them.
It's basketball stuff.
That ain't what I do.
This is what I do. On my balls basketball stuff, that ain't what I do. This is what I do.
On my balls like, hey, that's what he really do.
And we was like, yo bro, you might wanna stop.
I was like, this is what he really do, bro.
This a part-time job.
Yeah, I was like, this ain't what he really do.
And you know who Coldpepper is, right?
Yeah, of course.
Yeah, yeah, that's a, yeah, yeah.
So we like, I'm like, I'm telling him like, bro.
That's all me and my dick gotta do, yeah. Yeah, yeah, I'm like, this, I'm like, bro, this what, I'm like, I'm telling him like, bro. That's all me and my dick got to do.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I'm like, this, I'm like, bro, this way.
I'm like, he really be on that, bro.
Man, we had to tell him.
And old boy's like, he was like, what?
We was like, yeah, bro, this is what he did.
I was like, nigga, he on hoop, bro.
He fighting, bro.
Hey, man, y'all heard it here from Ishmith, man.
Let's get Jeff back to white, man.
Let's get this.
Oh, you want to come back?
I got, look.
No, yeah, when they do your Hall of Fame.
I'm going back. Yeah, when they doing it? I don't know when they doing it for real. It's supposed to be like, you want to come back? I got it. No, yeah, when they do your Hall of Fame. I'm going back.
Yeah, when they doing it?
I don't know when they doing it for real.
It's supposed to be like coming up though, right?
Well, now that I'm playing, I don't think I'm going to be able to do it.
But I do, and I'm not even joking.
They need to.
It should have been Jeff first, then James,
and then they could put me and Farouk in there or Farouk before me,
whatever the case is.
All y'all deserve it though bro
Yeah we all do
Legendary records at this point
All of us
Me and James burnt that bitch down
I mean we all
That's why y'all deserve it though
You're a part of the whole program
You know why they don't fuck with us
Cause James left right after we left
Lost bro
He was on a flight
That's what Ben Simmons did
Fuck it
This sound crazy man
Wake Forest though
Yeah it's Wake
You know what I'm saying
Wake
Wake
Wake
Wake
Wake
Wake
Wake
Wake
Wake
Wake
Wake
Wake
Wake
Wake
Wake
Wake
Wake
Wake
Wake
Wake
Wake
Wake
Wake
Wake Wake Wake Wake Wake Wake Wake Wake Wake Wake Wake Wake Wake Wake Wake Wake Wake Wake Wake Wake Wake Wake Wake Wake Wake Wake crazy man yeah it's wait you know what i'm saying wake up is that a catholic school
no it's a baptist school yeah baptist yeah okay yeah but respect makes sense but my thing is like
had a couple baptist things rolled around that motherfucker
yo but it's crazy these dudes really like jeff and james really i'm telling you man they held
it down for us for real that's my and told them, I was like, it was funny,
my junior year when I came back from injuries
and they was rolling, I was like, man,
how I find my way, and I was like, man,
these dudes ain't about to be pulling me the whole time.
I gotta like, I gotta come in here and hoop.
But they held it down, like they held it down for sure.
That's why they should be in the Hall of Fame, and that's real.
And that's why, like you said, everybody there ended up being a league man,
pushing each other to the league.
For you, what's time to make that transition from white to NBA?
How was it for you, like, the workout process
and then going to get into the Rockets?
Yeah, so, man, my four years was up and down as far as, like, injuries
and stuff like that.
But, like, and I'm not just trying to gas my dude because he here,
but I knew Jeff had made it to the league.
He was a 19th pick.
At one time, he was a lottery pick.
At one time, he was a lotto.
So I'm thinking to myself, like, yo, I'm playing against the best point guard
in the country at the time.
Like, yo, I'll be straight.
So when I went through the process
um I remember who was it uh Memphis they was deciding between three guys it was uh Jordan
Crawford my boy Jordan Jordan I played against JC uh Xavier Jordan gave us like 30 something uh
professional bucket man he a bucket and I'll be trying to tell side no i'll be trying to tell the young dudes like yo it's bigger than that because there's some dudes that came through
here it's 10 times as good as you it ain't all about like oh man i get a bucket like nah man
like it's not like jordan crawford a real bucket marshawn brooke man what this is what i'm telling
people like yo y'all don't understand like Like, Terrence Williams, I played with him.
Man, what?
He was cold. These dudes was cold.
And so, anyway, I get a call.
And they was like, man, they trying to make a decision between Grievous, Jordan Crawford.
Grievous Vasquez.
Yeah, Grievous my guy.
So, Jordan went 25th.
And then they decided to go Grievous.
And then I get a phone call from uh oklahoma city and
they was like man we got a 40 second pick you know we'll take you but we're gonna stash you
i said no i said no and i got on the street that had to be the lord because for me like i ain't
know what i was doing at the time i said bro i'm not no overseas player don't stash me overseas
because i know you can get over there and get lost hell yeah so i said nah i go and draft it i'll find my way and so then like the 50th pip came and that's when detroit and
houston was like hey uh detroit actually offered me a uh joe dumars actually offered me a one-year
guaranteed deal and i was like nah you know what i just go to houston and uh what made you do that
oh this was wild yeah you was hey talk about was like. What made you do that? This nigga was wild. Yeah, you was, hey, talk about betting on yourself.
What made you do that?
Jimmy know me, man.
I don't know what I be thinking half the time.
Man, shit, but like, one year guarantee.
That was the hell of a decision off the wheel.
Nah, for real.
Yeah, one year guarantee and then Houston offered
a two year none guarantee.
Both years was none guarantee.
And I was just like, man, you know what?
They played, they played fast.
You know, I remember back in the day, Detroit was like,
I can't go to no system playing slow.
So I went.
Houston played fast at the time.
Rick Adleman was our coach.
Y'all going to cry laughing.
It was Yao Ming on my team.
That's hard.
Brandon, not Brandon, Brad Miller.
You played with T-Mac?
No, I just missed T-Mac.
Was A.B. there?
Aaron Brooks?
Man, listen Another bucket
He a bucket
Kyle Lowry was on the team
I had Shane Battier
That was a nasty roster
Yeah
But that was when
Kevin Martin
But that's when you came in
Hey, Martin
He was the
21st of the night
Jared Jeffries
Oh, that was a filthy team
That's my guy, man
No, I'm fucking with Jared Jeffries
You fucking with Jared Jeff four-four was crazy
Yeah he in Denver now
Yeah we're gonna keep it light
Yeah
We're gonna keep it light
That's your man
Nah that's crazy
That's cool
Shout out to Jared
Yeah for sure
But like
All jokes aside
That was when you came in
Like Jeff can attest to this
Like when you came in the league
Like man it was
All heads on the team
All heads
And you had to work your way up
Like think about it
Jeff when have came
Out of college
Averaging 20
And he could just go
Somewhere where they'd be like
Hey man get you a bucket
Man what
That would have been
Oh he would have been
Able to get like
25, 30
Especially
He knew how to get fouled
Like the league now
Like back in the days
Man you try to get fouled
They'd be like
Man them refs
Do like this
Yeah get up
Keep playing
Nah that's crazy
When you was a rookie, too.
You a rookie.
You ain't get no calls.
No calls.
Now, like, dudes come in.
When did he get calls?
That's crazy.
He cold.
Yeah, he different.
He different.
Yo, he can play.
Big generation.
Yeah, I didn't know how cold he was.
Nah, he different.
He got game.
So, yeah, that was my roster.
And, like, man, old heads will, like, tell you different stuff.
Like, Shane Betty taught me how to, like, manage my money.
Then I got traded from there and went to Memphis.
When I got traded to Memphis, that's when I had Z-Bo.
Shout out to Z-Bo.
Yeah.
Z-Bo was like, that's my guy.
Those guys taught me how to be tough, fight through stuff, push through stuff.
That was the year we made it to the playoffs and we lost.
Shout out to Mike Conley.
Yeah.
MC, man.
Y'all.
What did I tell y'all before he came?
They the two nicest dudes I ever met in my life, bro.
Yeah, nah.
MC was my guy, man.
He a good dude.
Every time I see his dad, I was like, man, I saw you in college.
He was like, yeah, man, you guys all made it.
That's him for sure.
Two nicest people in the world, bro. Them two dudes. dudes yeah he was on that that memphis team was the fire
yeah we was good man we was good but we uh i remember that was when i knew like it's bigger
than like you got to figure out what role you got to play so like i ain't playing the playoffs but
they wanted me to be tony parker so had to be. Scout team. Scout team.
So I had to be Tony Parker.
It was like yo, Iz just do that fast though.
And that's what it like, I was coming off like,
you remember TPs to pass it and go all the way around.
Yeah like, and so I had to be Tony Parker.
And so Z-Bo, they had made a decision at the end.
So when I got traded over there,
I kinda knew like yo this ain't my kind of,
so like, how I fit in, whatever the case is.
And so we getting ready for the playoffs
and Lionel tell me, Lionel Hollins,
he tells me like, yo, Ish, you ain't gonna play this series.
And I'm like, all right, bet, cool.
Like, I'm not tripping, I wasn't expecting to play.
And so then that's when Z-Bo, that's when I knew like,
Z-Bo just had this weird way of like talking to you. So he pull you hey little bro come in little bro come in that's him that's
him so he put his arm around me like hey little bro you gonna help us win this series and i'm like
i don't know how we just heard coaches he said i wasn't gonna play he said nah little bro i'm
telling you you'll help us win this series and so that's what a lot of them told me like yo you
gonna play like tp rest of the history and then once we won the series that's crazy that's when a lot of them told me like, yo, you going to play like TP? Rest of the history.
And then once we won the series.
That's crazy.
That's when Z-Bo came to me and was like,
see what I tell you little bro.
Like if you ain't play like that,
we would have never got like a visual of what TP kind of play like.
Oh, that's hard bro.
And that's crazy.
That's a testament to like what it takes to win an NBA.
Like everybody can be talented.
Everybody can be cold.
But just having someone on your team
who can mock somebody else. Makes your game preparation totally different they they didn't
have that for mike at all even more credit to you for taking on that role though bro a lot of
ain't equipped for that nah egos checks yeah especially that level so that's some love to
you for real for yeah it's a lot of dudes though don't meet i mean we all got egos i don't care
what nobody's saying no you want to bro, but I'm saying you,
I'm talking about your sacrifice, though.
Yeah, that was the biggest thing.
That meant a lot to them.
It had been a lot, Z-Bo pulling me to the side
and telling me like, yo.
Nah, it probably took you a long way.
Yeah, like for me, I was like,
and like I said, I go back to Wake,
like I knew playing at Wake with all these talented dudes,
like yo, I can't come in here and be like,
oh, nah, this how I'ma do it.
Nah, heck no, I'm about to be like,
all right, what's needed for the game at night?
Like, if it's, like I said,
the joking around the Carolina game,
man, I scored four point, he got 34, we won.
I'm cool.
Like, that's-
Yeah, them W's matter at the end of the day.
Yeah, like that's what matters,
because I know it's going to be a game
where Jay might be struggling,
and then I got to step up.
Like, it is what it is.
Like, you know what I mean?
That's what team's all about.
So, when he told me that, I was like, yo, cool.
But it did mean a lot coming from Z-Bo because Z-Bo is Z-Bo.
You know what I mean?
Or any good words from Z-Bo take that to the heart because that's Jay Wynn as fuck.
Facts, facts.
Alex, man, Ish, we know you set the record.
You know what I'm saying?

Top five cities.
You played in no particular order.
They did like the Phoenix.
Now you said that quote,
you fuck with Phoenix.
Phoenix. Phoenix was,
Phoenix was
nice city,
bro.
I was 24 years
old.
Phoenix was,
yeah,
I'm just,
I'm just leaving
it there.
You know,
niggas say they age.
I was 24.
Hey,
niggas say they age.
I was 19,
nigga.
I was 19,
nigga.
I was a motherfucker
back then,
nigga.
In 1994,
nigga.
That was old players saying, boy, I was 25 back then in 1994.
boy i was 25 back here
phoenix uh dang you know why i rock with detroit man i knew he was about to say that i feel like that's where you knew you was hooping too yeah you was crazy yeah that was that was like the first
time like i got a chance to like hoop.
Yeah.
They took care of you too though.
Yeah, like one thing about Detroit, like if you can hoop, like my game ain't,
you can ask Jay, like my game ain't like, I'm doing a lot of like zigzagging,
like I'm getting the monster.
Like I'm not, like in certain cities, like that might not be,
like Jay's game was perfect for Atlanta.
Like they turning up, he dunking on cat, like that's, but like, that might not be. Like, Jay's game was perfect for Atlanta. Like, they turn it up.
He dunk it on Cat.
Like, that's.
But, like, you know what I mean?
Like, even Steph's game.
Steph's game, perfect against San Francisco.
Like, you know what I mean?
Like, that's the demographic.
Like, and so, for me, like, my game was perfect for, like, Detroit.
They respected it.
You know what I mean?
I was going to give them.
You know what I mean?
I was going gonna play hard every
game um and all that different type of stuff so but that was the first opportunity i got a chance
to hoop yeah like before then like you had jay jay like dang you on this team now yeah hey man i'm
just trying to find my way you responded though you still still well i was i was undrafted so i
knew like my way was gonna be be, like, a different path.
It wasn't going to be, like, dang, man, these people invested in me.
Nah, like, and then each team, like, I tried to take a different little perspective.
So, like, when I was in Orlando with Jameer Nelson, I was like, yo, Jameer at the time, one of the best point guards.
So, I was like, man, if I play against him I gotta get some confidence when I
was in Oklahoma City Russ I'm like yo yeah like Russ almost came to wake yeah yeah yeah yeah
Russ almost came to wake so story behind that is Russ was getting recruited by he wanted to stay
home he was just waiting for UCLA and so uh they had Jordan Farmer to try and make a decision
if Jordan Farmer was going to stay or leave.
And so he had two offers, big-time offers, and that was like Wake Forest
and – well, UCLA had not offered yet.
And some other like local schools, like – but he had took a growth spurt late.
And so he had came on a visit, and Coach Prosser called me and said,
hey, man, I have my Honda Accord, my green 93 Honda Accord. spurt late and so he came on a visit and uh coach prosser called me and said hey man i had my honda
my green 93 honda accord i drove all the way down from uh i drove like 45 minutes when my mom stay
and uh when winston is like 45 minutes so i drove up and uh that's when russ dunked on
trent strickland damn something nasty but then all of a sudden he went back drawing for my left
he ended up but man r Russ been cool since then,
like since he was 17.
So we would have had him, Jeff,
that would have been crazy.
I wouldn't come.
I would have been at IU, baby.
All them, that's too many.
I still don't know how we got him out of the state.
Oh, my fault.
Phoenix, Detroit, damn well. at him Phoenix Detroit Charlotte was you know I mean
that's Charlotte's home I thought you was gonna put them one yeah Charlotte's home I mean it's
not in those particular orders Charlotte's home uh I rock with Philly too yeah I rock with Philly
because they like again I got a chance to just hope yeah like
when you're just sitting on the bench like yeah like yo be a bit walkie i'm telling you like
that's why like nah jake like he ain't lying like last year was and i i gotta say denver because we
want to chip but like last year wasn't easy like you going in a situation where you're like man you
know i just came out well no no no it's it's dc and uh denver man dc you hooked you hooked
you got helen wizards highlights especially against the pacers well oh yeah so with them i
just uh indiana is i mean i don't know i don't know why like i said we're on the top of every
highlight don't worry it's not just you no it's not that yeah when he was here they was cooking
i don't know why.
I got a lot of highlights against Indiana, too.
He went to his pike days when he came here with the 44.
That's one of the weakest fucking numbers.
Yeah, go ahead.
The weakest fucking number.
Yo, hey, he tried to go.
So he tried to come to Wake and get 44.
They was like, no, man, you got to get a low number.
Absolutely not.
They told somebody else.
D-Weave had it.
Oh, D-Weave had it. Sure. Yeah, D-Weave had it. They was oh d we've had it yeah d we've had they was like we've got it and we weren't giving it no he wouldn't
i was like you keep that weed you can see it and we can't stop it so yeah but it like jay ain't lying
like it's hard man when you especially when you've been playing like i have been playing like six or
seven years like i consistently started playing and so when i now had to be like
all right what role do i take you know you get on the bench but it if it wasn't for like you know
the team camaraderie like been around the guys and we just like enjoyed each other it would have been
a situation i'm like man i would have been on like yeah you get what i'm saying like so you start you
start seeing it like yeah i'm damn near cool Off this I'm damn near done
Like
I was done
Like I was chill
When you get to like year
Like you're 14 now
So you probably having
A good time though
No
I ain't gonna lie to you
No I enjoy it
Cause it's helping the guys out
But I really had to talk
To my wife
Like I'm like
I wanna stay home
Yeah
But it was a situation
Where like
My wife's like
Yo it's home
Like you Charlotte
It's not like they asked you to go to Houston.
You know what I mean?
And then you got a good relationship,
obviously, with the front office.
That's going to be an easy way to keep doing with the NBA.
That's a hell of a job, though, you got, brother.
I was going to say, boy.
Shout out to your team.
We love the Charlotte Hornets.
You got Sunset Park over there.
Y'all are your team. We love the Charlotte Hornets. You got Sunset Park over there. Y'all the Gauchos.
Hey, bullshit, bro.
They need you, bro.
They definitely need you, bro.
Yo, you said it, bro.
Hey, straight up.
No cap Hey boy
That gave my nigga a tough assignment boy
They uh
We gonna sit LD
Sit my fucking
Yeah they gonna sit
It's y'all with the bang nigga
You wanna stay home huh
Bring your ass on.
You're going to work for this money.
Yo, I mean, you ain't lying, man.
That is a tough team.
Hell of an offseason.
They good dudes, man.
They really are, man.
But think about this, though.
We all came in.
Me and Jack came in the league.
It was like a pecking order.
You started down here.
You had to work your way up i think about it if you keep drafting dudes as 19 it's hard man
think about it it's hard so you got the blind leading the blind i you know i don't know y'all
giving me this like mellow my dog like when we won the championship he was the first one texting
like and then when he got his money like i text him like that's my god t-roll those guys remember scary man like santa rosa but they kind of get it though yeah you can
tell they get it like about it yeah they get brandon miller man he got game i believe it
he's real deal bro so they got talented guys but you like how you gonna know where to go if you
ain't never been like or nobody's there to tell you where to go.
So I had all heads, man.
They needed you.
We talked about this a couple of pods ago, bro.
I'm telling you, that's a lost art in the league now.
An OG, somebody who's seasoned, to come help the young guys,
at least show them the little stuff that you need.
But you're not helping them out.
And then you get mad with them.
And then when you're done with them, you just wash your hands with them and you done with them yeah now
they needed you it's like how we was at wake forest we we needed you like if i ain't go when
i went to wake forest if you wasn't like trying to like if you was like you kept like trying
to with me i wasn't trying like if you didn't do that i've been a wild boy because yeah i was
already quiet unto myself yeah but like i wouldn't I wouldn't a workout dude and
I would go to the gym with Gary because Gary was a workout dude and you will be in there but you my
competition so I'm like yeah oh shit but he ain't here shooting thousands of shots got the music
blasting so I'm like I gotta do that shit cuz she how I'm ever play I gotta play with and then once
he started telling me he was the first one, like I took it wrong.
So y'all know me, I'm an asshole.
He was like, yo, I'm gonna be CP, you gonna be J. Gray.
I looked at that nigga like, nigga, you got me fucked up.
But you know what's funny though,
all jokes aside, like, and then it flipped.
Like I got hurt and jeff became because
i honestly look cp with no disrespect talent wise i don't think there's been a talent more talented
dude that's ever walked in the way i i'm just keeping it being somebody who can jump shoot
drive pat like he could do it all now chris i love him he you know what i mean he wasn't as tall like
you know i mean he's not dunking on you he's not doing none of that he knew how to run a team
and chris y'all people forget chris is fast he forget the ultimate point guard like elite he
was elite like chris is we know chris is up here but talent-wise walked into wake forest as far as
in the point guard position it's not nobody better so for me it did flip like
because i got hurt and jeff was cooking so he on magazine he doing all that so it flipped he became
chris why i started telling myself i ain't never told him this i said look no offense to this guy
i love him i was like i ain't about to be no taron down here
so you know the rule behind,
you know what happened with TD.
So,
Teron down there
just came off a year
where he was hooping.
And I love TD,
like this is my guy,
but he came off a year
where he was hooping
and he got like mono
or something like that.
Yeah.
And when he got mono,
Kissing them hoes.
That's what happened,
bro,
that mono for real, bro.
Something like that.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, pendants. So he just put a sp Oh, appendix room Oh, that's a big thing
He really fucked up, he thought he was a heretic
This nigga mono
Them hoes out there is filthy
Niggas better quit kissing them hoes
The real demon niggas
Go to that decal, what's going on
Excuse me
Man, we used to see girls like walking without.
No shoes.
They had mud on their toes.
The real Tar Heels.
Ish, you hit someone with no shoes on.
We're playing.
The barefoot?
Ish playing.
Oh, we did.
Hey, man, that was.
Ish caught him a barefoot straight.
Hey, man, that was cool though.
Man, I was.
Nah, I was going with that. The real David Dinkins. I was going with that. Him and G. Him and G were going with the same state.
Him and G. Him and G were going with some state for sure.
G, I'm like, G, where you just came from?
Oh, me and Jeff went to state.
I said, hey, man, y'all ain't telling nobody?
And my cousin Shannon went to state.
So she used to call me and be like, yo, Jeff was over here.
Where y'all at?
Jamie Ski, the reason I went over there.
I was like, man, I don't know how to do this. I wait for it that way before he's like oh it's a black school right there yeah it's just for you
how far was it away probably about 15 minutes that's like seven minutes yeah it was close yeah
it was close it was in the cut now though that's crazy how close the schools are though for real
yeah it was in the hood but if you wanted to go see your old car i went over there i was like
shout out to college i gotta go to your door
shout out to college. I got to go to your door. Shout out to college.
I got to go to that door room.
Yo,
it was wild.
Oh,
it was wicked.
Hanging on the door.
Yeah.
Like on some light.
Like they on the block or something.
Like what up T?
What's up boy?
Man.
Yeah.
You fresh off sports?
Yeah.
I'm like,
y'all good boy.
For real.
That's how it was.
For real.
We went to the N club one night and we was,
it's sure that. So we was in there it sure did so we said that vibe it we
was cool and uh they'd be like hey because jeff always like to stay low and uh it was like hey
shout out to jeff t jeff's like ah man bro what you mean he's like nah i don't trust these no
no for real yo it's time to go let's's get a body. Yeah, facts, bro.
That joke was funny.
Bro dealt with enough back home,
like high school, so shit.
Look, that's a fact.
Nigga's new in the slide.
It's time to ride, bitch.
Nigga's new in the slide.
Yo, it's time to get a body.
All right, man.
We asked you your top five cities.
Now we got to put you on the hook.
Top five players you play with.
He play with some killers, too.
Yeah.
No order. No order. Of course, no order. Yoke, man. He some killers, too. Yeah. No order.
No order.
Of course, no order.
Yoke, man.
He up there, man.
For sure.
Yoke, he just make the game
just look so easy.
He lead.
It's crazy,
because I play with a lot of guys.
I didn't get a chance
to play with Joel Embiid,
but he was on the team.
Mm-hmm.
So I don't know
if I can count that.
KD, obviously, is up there.
Still.
Man, who else?
Who do you think make the game look easier, KD or Yoke?
Yoke.
Damn, that's crazy.
And the reason why I say Yoke is because, like, when you watching the game,
like, I ain't giving him his true respect until I got there.
Like, Jay, you know how it is.
Like, when he was coming out and he was coming out, I'm like, man, I love you, Yoke.
We used to be like, man Yo Put him in pick and roll
Yeah yeah
Make him go
Yeah like y'all beat him
Remember that year
Y'all beat him like
And they always talk about
Like how that was like
That like
Changed it
Yeah it changed it for him
Yeah
So he was
But yo
When you watching the game
You like
Bro he got 16 rebounds
On the first hand
I don't know where this came from.
17, 16, and 8 in the first.
Like, I was just sitting there watching, like, and he just run down the court.
And the thing about him is he stayed at the same pace the whole game.
That's sort of good.
So, it's like the tortoise and the hare.
So, it's like we more – like, some guys are more athletic,
but he just keep going at the same pace.
Same pace.
You can't stop it.
You can't stop it.
So, he is him katie
uh dang jeff who was man russ yeah russ up there too for sure that nigga's an animal bro i don't
know how many people be disrespecting him i hate it bro he is an animal i was there though when
and this shout out to my guy man russ i love r. That's like my brother. So I was playing for Oklahoma City, and I told Russ, I was like,
Russ, yo, Jeff got game, man, because I know when he's locked in,
Jeff could have been easily one of the best point guards.
When he would be, like, locked in, like, it was scary.
So he was sitting there, and I seen Jeff.
Like, I was like, saw him on the other end.
I don't know if you remember this.
We played against y'all in Atlanta. Yeah. and jeff was like he just did like this usually we
talk he did like this i said oh he locked in so i told russ i was like yo russ he locked in
and that's when you got distilled it was like yeah so i remember that battle they was going
back and forth but uh russ is up there for sure because when he was in his uh that in that mvp
little stretch and triple double because i played with him in washington man he when he was in his uh that in that mvp little stretch and triple double because i
played with him in washington man he was he was still killing it that nigga is hell bro i don't
know why people be disrespecting because he played for the likers bro that's what happens and the
thing about russ is he gonna like he don't he just be keep driving it driving it driving the
basketball yeah like he just keep and you'd be like y'all rust like calm down
Yeah, like he don't get tired like you'd be like y'all this dude keep like
That halftime cuz I'll be good the first ever but I got the half time
Alright, let me look at my phone who's going out tonight
That was my brother. I had 15 I have okay who going out tonight
See, that was my problem.
I had 15 and a half.
Okay, who going out tonight?
Russ come back out like he took an energy drink or something.
I'm like, what the hell is wrong with this nigga, man?
Like, calm the fuck down.
And you know you used to go in all the time.
I used to be like, yo, he got something personal with him.
Reggie.
Oh, because.
Reggie Jackson. You know why I used to go at Reggie Jackson?
When we played at Wake, I don't know if you remember.
He dunked.
Okay.
He dunked.
He like drop stepped and he dunked and he bumped me.
I think he might have been a freshman. He like me and i was like what the fuck like you know i mean
because i was like nigga this tyree's rice team you know you ain't even yeah i was like i said
you ain't even him like why the fuck you bumping me like i was shitty ever since i seen him i'm
like i'm gonna kill him i'm gonna try to you can always know what he's trying to like go rich
that's how jeff was like he you always knew when he's trying to go rich. That's how Jeff was.
You always knew when he was trying to, like, y'all,
we played against Tony Douglas, he'd be like, oh, yeah.
Yeah, I was trying to kill him.
Yeah, he was trying to kill him.
He used to go at D. Will, too.
Yeah.
Oh, my mom.
Darren Williams, he used to go at his ass, bro.
Yeah, he was trying to kill him.
He was cold, too.
He was.
D. Will was cold, bro.
Yeah, there was somebody who made a handle to this.
They were like, y'all left D. Will off.
I was like, yeah, D. Will definitely left him off. Yeah, we definitely left him off. We definitely left D. Will off. D. Will was cold, bro. Yeah, they was talking about who made the handles list. They were like, y'all left D. Will off. I was like, yeah, D. Will definitely had. Yeah, we definitely left him off.
We definitely left D. Will off.
Respect.
But definitely him and John Walls are the only people I know who can cross over going full speed.
I used to be in practice like, how the fuck are you doing?
Like, that nigga be like.
Oh, yeah, we was just.
And then niggas be, bro, I used to be like, this shit is crazy.
Who put you on that, though?
Bro, you know what?
We used to play.
It's funny. We used to play – it's funny.
We used to play sandlot.
You know, they call it sandlot football.
Yeah.
So, like, I used to be, like, in the back.
I was the receiver.
So, I would be, like, running, changing directions, changing directions,
catching the ball.
Oh, I get what you mean. Yeah, so I'd be like, yo, hold on, man.
Like, I was, like, seven, eight years old.
So, my mindset was, yo, like I saw Reggie Bush.
He would change direction in football without changing.
So I was like, yo, this is crazy.
Shady, LeSean McCoy, Shady McCoy, they would change their direction.
So I'm like, yo, what if I could do this with a basketball?
So I just tried it.
That's crazy, man.
All type of people, man. i was in practice just brought back
like i'm not about to catch this thing i couldn't wait to get on the other team this is the thing
that like this is what bothered me is we played together like during the game but like coach
always put on opposite sides in practice yeah and like when he did that if he scored he knew
If I scored oh
Used to get mad this is not gonna just be a one-on-one game like y'all gotta share the ball
We going at it like it is remember the day with Dino cuss me out
He went through the whole team. He told everybody what they do good and he got to me at the end what was this though we was like we was winning we was on a roll he was like
chris paul was running his team i think your foot might have been broke yeah you still might have
been hurt he was like well chris paul was running this team we would be the best team ever i looked
at i was so shitty like i was like i could have punched him i was like i hate this dude
he's like and you're on the second team
i went practice i gave deep yeah i gave him oh my god he was killer ld i was torrent he's like ld you got him yeah he was killing yeah all right bro i was telling this name he was killing i know you
was hurt because i remember you was on the side he was like chill jay yeah you gonna be all right
you all right man you good i'm worried about him like now fuck this yeah he was killing i was trying i'm telling you when he wanted to like this y'all seen it in high school
bro when he wanted to like y'all i'm gonna go get a bucket every time like he did you was like yo
it was on some burger king type like have it your way from the three-point line finish it dunk it like yo i was like i'm like yo this like i mean he can get fouled
so we was uh i remember that i do remember that but i i also remember when uh
yo i remember that day at practice that joke was crazy but i mean you remember when i know
because ish was always the peacemaker he was's a good we had some rebels on our team
You remember what I told her but I was like, yo, it's one girl. Nobody could talk to on this thing
No, we ain't dropping no names go crazy
So it was like
yeah yeah like ish like okay everybody we got that yeah yeah so what got the team
what got the team decided to like yeah what was he thinking though i don't know he decided to
try me i guess i was short he believed me i was like i pulled up on him i got active
ish called me said jt yo what. Yo, what the heck, man?
What you doing, man?
I said, he tried me.
I was like, he talked to her.
I said, he going to talk to her.
Ish said, damn.
Because Jeff Battleton hit me.
Coach B hit me.
I was like, go get Jeff.
Y'all wonder why we got all this talent and we can't win no games.
Because Coach B used to always hit me up.
And I said said i'm like
all right let me i man let me call him so i called him he was like yo they said he had him
on the wall that kusha rule do that tell you boy yeah yo had him hemmed up on the wall
but it's respect the thing that blew me was like pause like you can't say
respect yo he had him him but my thing was like yo he already told you i told him yo he already
told you that was the stuff that like i used to be like quit coughing
hey first and foremost the only reason that person was there. Because, yeah, I was tender for that reason.
Let's keep it a bean.
I told him, when I leave.
Let's keep it a bean.
When I leave.
He told me.
Nah.
I said, when I leave.
And listen, the Lord utilizes so many people in so many different ways.
That's a fact.
And you got to see the best of us.
No, I'm in.
And you got to see.
Oh, it was his season.
Let's call it.
It is the season.
For the ball in his ass.
Yo, but keep it a bean, like.
My dog told me.
He was like, you broke the leg.
He did.
That's real.
No, you're right.
So, I mean, like, you can't get mad.
You know what I'm saying?
You can't get mad at it.
I said, what's our league?
It's free game.
And then this is the thing.
She used to do certain things to try to trigger Jay.
And I'm like, I don't need a trip.
Like, just do certain things. That was my dog. He'd call me and be like, let's go to the gym. Yeah and i'm like i don't need trip like just do certain things he'd call me be like let's go let's go to the gym yeah i'm like don't even trip
even after that incident he was like damn jay g was g was yeah g helped my big g right there with
me though we need you on the show we do we walked with me yeah he's like, yeah, yeah. Hold on. Go, JT, JT.
Go, go, go.
I didn't know you was doing that.
Hold on.
That's G.
That's G, man.
I opened that door.
I'm saving it.
Let me holler at you.
I opened that door.
It was over.
That nigga G said, oh, oh.
No, no, no, no, no, no.
But I'm saying, though, killer, how you find out?
I thought G talked too, boy.
How I found out?
How you find out, Killer?
I can't remember
how exactly I found out.
You just, I ain't.
Shout out to the Blackberries.
It might have been
one of them or something.
Niggas had a love
and hip-hop moment
or something.
I don't know.
What it was.
Yeah, Facebook beef is crazy.
Which is crazy to me
because now you got
people's grandmas
and stuff on there now.
Yeah, and Facebook.
It's still love.
It used to just be EDU,
but now it's like.
Yeah, Grand Eagle City.
I don't like them, Grand Eagle.
Grandmas and City Girls, too, bro. So, yo now it's like. Grand Eagle City. I don't like them Grand Eagles. Grand Moms and City Girls too, bro.
So, yo, we was like, man.
And then remember that year.
Yo, this is funny.
Our first day back my junior year, we playing pickup, going back and forth.
And this is when that person was hooping.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
The person was hooping.
Man, T. Woods.
Yo, T. he was like so after we had their recruiting class then for root number
crew class coming so now we got for root Tony Woods Ty Walker who was was in that class it was
taller shit yeah it might have been them three so they come in and now we got like an nba team for real yeah because we got seven footers
on seven footers like them boys is huge so pause so we sitting there and we playing and tower
stepping out hitting threes because cp was there cp was he said i'll never forget because you was
cooking cp and cp was like Let's start doing This pick and roll shit
Cause I was on C team
Yeah
And I was like
And Ty started hooping
I'll never forget
And Ty
He was like
He the one
He baby Tyson Chandler
Yeah
That nigga T. Woods said
That nigga just read up to him
Stole him
I said whoa
Yeah he stole him
For what
Cause that nigga said
He was baby Tyson Chandler
Ay
Our team was nuts bro
Yeah
And I love
He was the only sane person
Nah we all had
Our own little crazy
After that
I didn't get to see
That Todd Walker
Every year
Bro we never seen
He was
He was supposed to go to the NBA
Yeah he was
He was
He was tall as hell
Yeah he was
You deserved a career
For the bullshit you had to deal with
now but you know what they don't understand like I was with him like my guys yeah but he was the
same one like I mean it was my dudes like we was crazy I'm like I'm riding with my 30 for 30 no we
for real set it up my really come out of retirement we need a 30 for 30 ish to philip like phil collins yeah he was like he's like
like just like they were that's why i could write them they just like like he was such a like
nah y'all come on yeah nah did he make you like come together yeah we just did stuff together
yeah because i'm over there like you know i gotta fuck the mind i'm over there when he hit him like
yo we all and then he ran downstairs.
Yeah, I'm like, ooh.
So remember, we was like, yo, that's it.
We go downstairs.
We don't find him.
All of a sudden, everybody's phone blowing up.
We like, yo, who calling us?
Coach Battle, like, I said, oh, yo, it's Coach B.
Ish, what are you doing?
I'm like, man, what you mean?
Like, we was playing.
Got a little whatever, scuffle.
He was like ty's
mother just called me and said y'all was laughing at him getting punched in the face i'm like well
i mean it was me well we all was like oh yeah like what so we was good we was like yo
tony i was jacked up bro why you do that like tony why did you do that i just tony was like
tony didn't give him the explanation so So we went downstairs, whatever the case is.
We couldn't find Ty.
After that, man, I love Ty, man.
Shout out to Ty.
That's my guy.
But he just.
Yeah, he could have been an NBA player.
Yeah, he really should have been.
And he not tell you the truth.
It was another time we was hooping, playing five on five.
And CP, again, we love you, bro.
But me and Jeff, when he used to to come we ain't wanted to play on his
team we was like man jeff we on the same team and so chris used to come back all the time
and bring uh bring jay gray shout out to jay gray he coached at western carolina now that's my guy
uh eric williams he's bringing back eric williams like he used to bring back all these guys
and we used to be like yo y'all would not to beat us like you don't know how much talent we got like no that's like yeah i would have whatever the case is so
this is one uh particular day jeff like hey man stop calling them picking roles try to get by me
just one-on-one and he like and jeff when he wanted to like defend or he like getting over
screens he's like hey man i'm telling you i do
this and then he came back you know jeff was the king of one-on-one this is what i do bang like
i'm talking about was hoping and then that's when some other stuff happened i'll tell you what
happened go crazy my boy jj no i hit a reverse layout yep Yep JJ was like That shit nasty
Yeah
That's fucking nasty
CP was like
Shut up nigga
You ain't do it
That's
You know
Talk to JJ like
What
Then we start going at it
Yep
Was y'all still hooping
Or did he start
Yeah we was still
We was still hooping
But like
Kind of going back and forth
Yeah he started chasing
That nigga around the gym
Yeah
Like running after the nigga?
Not running, but he just was talking.
And then he was like, yo.
It's a pursuit.
Yeah, he was just like, yeah.
James was like, yeah.
It took a minute for James because he really was off on for a minute.
Yeah, like we couldn't get him to come around.
I'm like, yo, CP about to go hoop.
He was like, nah, go up there and suck.
I'm like, all right.
If he would have caught that nigga.
I think like the first couple years to a league like he yeah he wouldn't mess with him
because chris man he a good dude but like he'll try to hit you with like some little trigger to
like get you mad yeah he like and he go like low yeah he tried to go low like like if he know you
like lost your dad like i lost your dog when you was like four years old or something like that he
would say something like that you'd be like y'all would have kicked your dog like something like
that or like i'm not surprised now i remember we was playing against i was wide open in the corner
one time i was we was playing he was in phoenix and so he was guarding me in the corner and brad
drove and he stood there like to like force him kick it and then he tried to play mind games with
brad was like see you you gotta play the right way you don't be playing the right way he ride and he stood there like to like force him to kick it. And then he tried to play mind games with Brandon.
I was like, see, you got to play the right way.
You don't want to be playing the right way.
He ride open in the corner.
You got to throw him the ball.
Like just stuff like that.
You be like, see, like why would you go that low?
But I know, see.
So I don't be tripping.
I be like, all right, see, like it is what it is.
Yeah, I wouldn't go with that.
I ain't handle that low.
Yeah, Jeff be like, no, I don't play that game.
Me, I be like, man, my penalty. Because you can go as low as you want to. I don't care. Like I know who I am. Yeah be like nah i don't play that game i'll be like man my parents because
you can go as low as you want to i don't care like i know who i am yeah i'm that i'm that i'm that
and what's the problem because i remember this is when i knew you was gonna go to the nba like because
like i knew our team was nba but i remember we had it was pargo oh i remember jerry jack
rudy gay kd and i think they might have had like Brian McKnight or somebody. Yeah, yeah.
He could hoop.
He could hoop.
So we playing on five on five and this is when we like,
we like yeah, we ready.
So Rudy Gay and them they chilling
and Ish going at Jared Jack and CP.
I'm like, oh shit.
And Jeff was hooping.
I said, oh yeah.
Then Pargo start guarding me
because CP start yelling at me, I was like,
cook him, he ain't even like that.
And Pargo, after the game, Pargo was like,
nah, this motherfucker's gonna be in the NBA, man.
Shout out to Pargo.
That's when we played at the YMCA.
Man, we was hooping.
He was like, this motherfucker's gonna be in the NBA, man.
For real, that's hard, bro.
That's when I knew, I was like, yo, we gonna be cold.
Yeah, I was like, yeah.
And then two days later, I broke my foot, I was like yo we we gonna be cold yeah i was like yeah and then
two days later i broke my foot yeah hey i remember i was at the movies he called they called me was
like come home i'm like what the i'm at the moment you need to come and get serious about
basketball i'm like what it's like it's broke his foot i ain't gonna lie my heart dropped because i
was we had just started starting we just started working out. Yeah. And I'm like, oh, shit. Because the middle of his – well, Jeff, like, the first 10 games,
but we knew it was going to change.
So then after that, like, Jeff went on his tear.
The whole ACC we played started together.
Yeah, so we started rolling.
And then after that, we started the year, and they had us top 25.
Yeah.
Like, starting point guard-ish, two guard,
Jeff, like so, we had already played,
we was like, oh I bet.
We just about to be hooping.
And you guys think, he put me in the mind
to just like, go get buckets.
So when Nate called me like,
you about to be the point guard,
mind you, you just got three McDonald's All-Americans,
we got JJ, and I'm a bucket getter.
I'm like, oh hell nah.
Like, y'all think I'm about to be passing this
But I told
I told you I was like man don't be don't be me be you man when I say we play at BYU
This one I was like yo Jeff is the real deal. So we go we kill
In Anaheim
and then
we beat the crap
out of Indiana.
IU,
he took that person.
We beat the crap
out of them.
So now we like 11.
Yeah,
ACC challenge.
Yep.
Then we won some more games
and then we went out to BYU.
And that's what I was like,
yo,
this is the real test.
And it was legit a whiteout.
Bro,
it was nothing but white people
with white shirts.
But like,
legit whiteout. So we sit there. Bro, it was legit a white out bro it was number white people but like legit white out so
we're sitting there bro it was 23 000 yo all yelling screaming saying some wild stuff wow
warming up i'm like man shout out to racism yeah because they use it bro
that was so we we in there and i'm like we saw danny age at the game like it was a
lot of scouts of course all of a sudden like oh yeah danny ainge went to byu i forgot about that
yeah so we sitting there but it was some other scouts there we're like oh okay man jeff put on
a show would you have 34 that night something like that man put on a show you was going jimmer
i was going i was going i was going i was going now jimmy had 23 yeah he was good but i just
remember he made james touch earth yeah he hit a crossover the nigga james oh shit hit that
through i said oh well cuz pat because coach kelsey came in and we sitting around he like yo
this guy plays like Darren Williams
We looked at each other like
Yeah I said
Man get the fuck out of here
Stop
That's exactly what he said
He was like man stop
Darren Williams
Y'all didn't know nothing about him
No man
Nah not like that
Cause we played him the year before
And he ain't do nothing
No he ain't do nothing
He ain't do nothing
In his sophomore year
He was a sophomore
He was another one
He had like
He had the Jerry Malim run in college
Like he was another person.
If he would have probably came out three or four years later,
he'd have probably had a different career.
He might be.
He's top five white boys to ever do it on the college level.
I feel bad for him because he's just in a different era.
Think about it.
How they shooting threes now?
Yeah, if he came out five years ago, he would be elite.
He would be one of the top shooters in the NBA.
They would have figured it out for him.
Oh my life.
They would have figured it out.
Like same thing I said about JT.
If they would have been like,
if you don't want to the team,
like how they do guys now,
be like, man, just go get a bucket.
Man, what?
But this nigga just told you
what he was doing at halftime.
That's because I had already figured out my role.
Like, you a young boy.
Like they was like, I was came in,
I was score, score, score.
And then when I got to the NBA, they like, yeah, you ain't going to be doing that.
Like, you about to go to the corner and you're going to pass this motherfucker to Joe.
Yep.
And you're going to wait and see if he want to pass it to you.
And then you're going to come out.
And, you know, that messed up with your head.
Like, oh, I can score as good as him.
Yep.
They like, no, the hell you can't.
They like, I'm like, nah, I can score.
They like, nah.
That's a good thing you said.
Before we get out of last question what do you think the hardest adjustment they try to
make your game like change for ncaa or for nba because you said they try to change their
shooting motion not for me it was the nba yeah for you how was it uh it was private college for me
because when i was in when i went to the n NBA like I was you know I was on teams for
a little bit and then I would go uh once I got to the league like I kind of figured out the game
like it was pick and roll game whatever the case is and then like dude asked for the ball like I
throw him the ball you know I mean like it wasn't no problem I just needed to find the right team
that kind of like fit you know how I was play. Like I wasn't really tripping, but college was crazy because like they,
it wasn't even a bad thing.
It was just like, I was just like wide-eyed, bushy-tailed,
like what did you say, coach?
Oh, okay, cool.
And that's why I said I respected Jeff.
Like Jeff was like, no, this is how I'm going to do it.
This is how I'm going to get done.
And guess what?
When you do it right and you do it like he came, guess what they do?
They be like, bet. Bet. We winning. Yeah. That is a it like he came that's what they do they be like
man we winning yeah that is a fact how they do i don't care what you say like that that's that's
the facts and and i'm not saying like it for sure helped me but like it was just a situation for me
when i was in college like they would be like uh i was in high school i was like man i shot the
ball like this and it was like nah it's just how we're going to do, like, whatever the case is.
So, but when I got to the NBA, it was cool.
It was a cool little adjustment because I had seen everything.
I had been hurt twice.
Like, I done played with talented dudes.
So, for me, it was like, all right, man, like, no injury I'm going to see.
Like, I done already experienced.
I done played with great players, so I know how to, like, play off of them or play, you know what I mean, play with them.
Like, it was what it was. So, the adjustment in the nba wasn't bad but i know for jay it was
i remember it was funny we came in and saw me and g drove down from uh winston come see g play
i mean he's coming see jt play and jay was like yo ish g oh like this shit ain't it y'all yeah
because they was forcing them to play like, you know what I mean?
Like when we first came in the league, like you had to play like a two-point guard.
Yeah.
Like everything was like, and I was so proud of him when he got his, I think it was your second year.
And, you know what I mean, Mike Bibby got hurt out there.
Yeah.
And then that was his coming out party.
And then that's when they said, oh, the next year he's star.
Like that was him and D D Rose going back and forth and uh that that was the time I was like yeah that's
that's the Jeff I know like he still had to like get everybody involved but they would have just
been like all right go then you know you probably would have saw a different dude but he he did it
the right way man I I look I I ain't joking around I'm so proud of him. No, I'm proud of you, because you did it the right way, unbelievable bro.
Like the guys in the draft.
You got a hell of a story bro, my mama.
To still be in the league bro.
Bro, 14 years.
You a high IQ nigga bro, for sure.
We all man, that's why I say like wait,
they got a, they got so, like,
you don't get that opportunity,
like Kentucky, like they get that stuff all the time.
Like I remember we played against them in the NCAA tournament,
I always tell John this, like, if I would have had my goons,
if we would have played against that Kentucky.
Yeah, we would have beat them.
Man, Kentucky beat them.
Oh, y'all.
Nah, because when we play good teams, bro.
All right.
Y'all know that way.
We play good for that way.
We're going to extend the pod.
I don't even like to support Kentucky, but.
Hey, hold on.
We play good.
It's Swish's posture.
Hold on.
Yeah, nah.
I got you. We would have been. Hold on. I got you. Talk to me. Hold on. We play good teams. It switches posture. Hold on. Yeah, nah. We would have been out.
Hold on.
I got you.
Talk to me.
Hold on.
Line them up.
They was going to kick your ass.
No.
They was going to kick your ass.
I love y'all, bro, but they don't kick your ass.
Bro, when we play good teams, bro, we always won.
We always won when we play good teams.
We had it, bro.
That's one of my favorite college players ever, bro.
But that UK team, bro, I'm telling you, bro,
they'd have beat the sleeves
off you.
No, they...
How?
We beat Carolina.
Then we beat Carolina.
They was the national champs.
They're better than Carolina.
That's my team.
He averaged a dub
and then James Johnson
averaged a team.
Shout out to you.
No, no, no.
I'm just telling you.
They were playing well,
keeping the team together.
No, no, no, no.
John Wall,
Bled.
Yes.
Okay.
Who was going to guard DeMarcus?
Yo, we had J.J.
We had five seven-footers.
You know how I feel about Farouk Pauls.
We had five seven-footers.
And they was no good.
And then my guy was like, Bled.
The nigga that got punched in his face, he wasn't worth a quarter.
Chase.
That's my guy, man.
Chase was good in college.
Yes, he was.
Chase the reborn Sean Bradley.
Fuck him.
Y'all was toast.
No, bro.
No, no, no.
That would have been a good game.
No.
All right, John Wall, I'm picking my dog.
They lost to West Virginia.
Yes.
Y'all lost to fucking Cleveland State.
I told you we'd play good against San Francisco.
I don't care nothing about that.
I don't care.
I wasn't trying to –
I was trying –
We've been having a good interview.
I was trying.
Oh, hold on.
I had a little trouble.
What was that?
Yeah, we got beat for you.
I lost my whole Sam's Club check fucking with you.
You're the fucking leader.
Talk to me, man.
I'll talk to you after the show.
He was the leader.
He was the leader.
He was the leader.
He was the leader.
He was the leader.
He was the leader.
He was the leader.
He was the leader.
He was the leader.
He was the leader.
He was the leader.
Bro, hey, when we get off this show, here's some other stories.
Yeah, he was the leader.
Nah, though, for real, that would have been a good game.
I ain't going to say y'all had to dust him. I'm hating because was the leader. Nah, though, for real, that would have been a good game. I ain't going to say y'all to dust them.
I'm hating because we're just talking shit, but nah, for real, that would have been a good game.
I wouldn't go smoke them.
No, no, we're not saying smoke them.
We would have won, though.
Because we played good against them.
There we go.
We struggled when we used to play against, like, the Miamis.
You want to, like, triangle into it.
Oh, they had Patrick Patterson.
What's my nigga from?
James Johnson was going.
Lexington.
Okay, okay.
Let me ask you a question.
And Pat, my guy.
Darius Miller, 6'8".
Oh.
Think about all the people Carolina had, bro.
Yes.
They had a whip.
They had a whip off the pine, bro.
They had a whip.
Shout out to Ed.
They had a whip.
They had seven NBA players.
We finished second in ACC that year.
Look.
They had seven NBA players.
Think about that team, though.
No, I'm not saying kentucky not listen
i'm just saying we lost it about look we lost them by 30 this is a fucking real oh yeah they
beat us bad but if we got jt and james man what that it look a little different i'm nothing and
look j5 that's my guy john Wall and DeMarcus Cousins
Was un-fucking-real bro
Yo you wasn't watching a lot of
I'm tapping
I knew you
Before you knew who you was
We played good against the good teams
We beat Baylor
We beat all the teams that was good
But when we played
We used to just be like Oh they sucked good against the good teams like we beat baylor we beat all the teams that was good but when we played
we used to just be like oh they sucked yeah here comes duke man hey remember let me tell you you know the duke game on uh youtube yeah let me tell you but this joker did it was the funny i tell
people this story all the time so we go to duke they beat us 41-19. Like they beat us.
Jeff coming in the huddle and Dino drawing over play.
And I looked at Jeff, I said, hey, man.
He was like, don't need trip.
I got you.
Man, he came down and bombed like two threes.
After that, let's go.
I was like, hey, man, we on now.
Let's roll.
We definitely came back.
Hey, we should have won that game We came back
That was Noah Swimming
For Kyle Singler
Man Kyle Singler
Couldn't do nothing
With James Johnson
Nah
He couldn't
With Kyle Dorn
I don't like how he said that
He couldn't do nothing
No offense to Kyle
Like look
I like Kyle Singler
Offense to Kyle
James Johnson
I love James
James is cool
I know we gotta get out
Of here
But I remember
He was doing Greg.
I'll never forget, bro.
You had Greg Paulus legs.
Bro, we was cooking.
Remember?
I was like, damn, he dancing.
Like, I'll never forget what he was doing.
Let me tell you, we would, like, we ain't run no plays.
Picking on white point guards.
No, for reals.
We would be like, hey, Jeff.
God honest you, we was playing.
Hey, man, kill him.
Jeff would come down, get to that pad and float it. Like, he would just, they back hey, Jeff. God honest you, we was like, hey, man, kill him. Jeff would come down, get to that pad and float it.
Like, he would just – they back up, shoot.
Man, we was like, hey, next one.
Hey, man, you got him.
I was like, Greg Polisdore, you killed him.
Bro, we used to like go at it.
And then Elliott Williams traveled all the way from freaking –
Man, that was cheating.
No, that was cheating.
You can't win that Duke, man.
Coach came ripping off his jacket.
I definitely got y'all over Duke.
Elliott Williams was nasty
GP3 was hard too though
We beat Carolina that year bro
Greg Pals could hoop
I'm just saying
I'm not gonna say Greg Pals was on y'all level bro
He was a great
He was a great college player
He ended up going to
He was Syracuse New York He went to end up going to New York. He was Syracuse in New York.
He went to play quarterback.
But I'm saying they had a good team.
Y'all going to quit disrespecting these niggas.
Fuck what you is.
Y'all was better.
You was better than Greg Ponce.
You got him dancing like a jabberwock.
Yeah, oh, God.
That's cool.
But I'm saying like.
Gerald Henderson was called, though.
Gerald Henderson was.
He cooked it.
He was fake Kobe.
Remix Kobe. Yeah, he did. We're not going to say remix. He was, bro. like drill Henderson was called Joe Henderson was he was bro number 15 was
nasty right he was one of the best players I can try to tell these niggas
bro they used to compare him to Kobe not saying he was like Kobe but the
similarities though he was college before my nigga had to go ball,
Gerald with the Henny fade, nasty.
He was good, bro.
He was good.
We played against Carolina and Tyler Hansborough over there playing.
And James was like, yeah, yeah.
He said, uh, uh.
We looked at him and said, what's wrong with this dude, man?
We didn't know he talked or nothing.
He just run. But, man, it was a good old time. It was a good time. Let's wrong with this dude, man? We didn't know he talked or nothing. He just run.
But, man, it was a good old time.
We'll get out of here, man.
We were talking.
We would have got that Kentucky.
Yeah, facts, bro.
It was good, man.
I played against them.
We're going to throw them polos and see how people feel about that.
They're definitely going to go with Kentucky.
They're going to say Kentucky, especially in this region.
Shout out to Bledsoe, nigga.
Bledsoe was good.
Bled was one of the hardest Euro slips ever.
