Ocho, let's get right into it. The Cowboys
beat the Seahawks, 45-31.
Dak Prescott, 29-41, 299, three touchdowns.
Geno Smith, 23-41, 334, three touchdowns, one interception.
Third straight, okay.
The Seahawks had three straight four downs that doomed them near midfield.
Selling otherwise an outstanding offensive performance.
Michael went unblocked on fourth and two.
I don't know what offensive play you call and say, you know what?
We're going to turn their best defensive player.
We're going to let him run unabated to our quarterback.
And the funny thing about it, they did a great job blocking him the entire goddamn game,
except the last play when it really mattered.
And you turned him scot-free. Turned him scot-free so what what was some of your takeaways lojo
listen my takeaway obviously i'm not sure who slated this game before the season started but
this was the best thursday night game by far by none one of the best games actually all goddamn
season the often that this is one of the games where you always talked about when you don't get
pick sixes and turnovers from your defense, will Dak be able to win and carry that offense? That
is exactly what he did tonight. CeeDee Lamb on third down, super duper clutch. Yeah, he had one
drop on that fourth and two. He said, my bad. But other than that, Dak showed why his name should be
in the MVP conversation
and why he is one of the best.
You don't like me using the word elite, but his play the past few weeks,
it's just that.
It's been elite, especially tonight.
Tonight is when you need a Dak to show, listen, my defense is not playing that well.
Geno, when that offense is marching down the field,
DK Metcalf was going crazy, boy.
He was going crazy.
They put some seasoning on Bland tonight, Ocho.
They put seasoning on Bland.
They put some seasoning on him.
Listen, they put a little seasoning,
but he took a bite out of you, though.
He took a bite out of him,
especially Tyler Lockett ran that lazy-ass out route,
and Bland, once again, picked it right off.
Ocho.
Yeah.
Tell me what's the only route you're going to run
from that split.
Yeah.
And you start leaning with it from the –
Yeah.
Oh, he would lean it.
He would lean it heavy.
Hey, he would lean it like Fat Joe.
Yeah, but –
He was, Ocho.
Yeah.
The Cowboys, what I saw tonight, Ocho, the way I measure a team,
if you're good offensively, if you're good defensively,
can you get done what you need to get done when you have to?
When Dak needed a touchdown to take the lead, what did they do?
They went and got it.
Yes, sir.
The defense, okay, you say you like that.
Can you get a stop?
Not only can we get one, we're going to stop him three times in a row
on fourth down at midfield.
Yeah.
That's the mark of a team.
And like you said, defensively, you're not going to always have it.
So, okay, offense. Our defense don't
got it tonight. They're not going to get a five
turnover. They're not going to sack Geno six
or seven. So,
when we get our opportunities,
we're going to have to cash. And that's
what they did tonight. That's the mark
of a good football team.
A really, really good football team.
Because can I go get done what I
need to get done when I absolutely have to have it?
And the offense, touchdown, field goal, field goal,
defense, stop, stop, stop.
So that was, I was very impressed
with what I saw last night.
And considering we just saw the 49ers beat the brakes,
beat the brakes off the Seahawks.
Yeah.
And so I was expecting the Cowboys
to pretty much do the same thing.
Right.
Because you and I both know how hard it is for the division opponent.
No matter how sorry the division opponent is,
no matter how good you are,
it's just something about playing in a division opponent that know you,
know your tendencies, know what you like to do.
Right.
And so it makes it a lot tougher.
But give the Seahawks credit. They came
in nice, did a great
job. Probably should have won
the game because on one of those drives,
the Cowboys, they got five penalties.
They kept the drive alive with penalty after penalty.
I think they had five penalties for
22 yards. But give the Cowboys
credit, Ocho. They played well.
They did what they needed to do.
Again, Ocho, they were 4-8 in the red zone.
Now you play the 49ers, you're going to get beat.
You go 4-8 in the red zone.
You play the Eagles, you're going to get beat.
You go 4-8 in the red zone.
But they played well.
I like what I saw from the Cowboys tonight.
Give them credit.
Now they got 10 days off to get ready.
I think they got the Eagles coming up in 10 days.
Yeah, yeah.
If I'm not mistaken, don't they have the Eagles?
So what do you think about Dak being
an MVP conversation?
He should.
23, so I think he had
23 touchdowns and
six interceptions, so now he has 26 and six.
Yeah, he'll be in the MVP discussion.
And rightfully so.
Yeah, absolutely. I think Lamar Jackson
is going to be in the MVP discussion. I thinkar Jackson is going to be in the MVP discussion.
I think Jalen Hurst will be in the MVP discussion.
Tristan McCaffrey will be in the MVP discussion.
CJ Shroud.
CJ Shroud, the way he's playing.
Got to put his name in there.
Yeah.
I think, I don't know if he's going to have enough wins, Ocho,
to really kind of garner, because the stats are going to say yes.
I mean, he's second in the league in passing yards.
So his stats are going to say yes. I just, he's second in the league in passing yards. So his stats are going to say yes.
I just don't know if he's going to have the win total
that would warrant the real attention going to him.
Now, you know, they must run and win.
Who knows?
They win the AFC South, which is going to probably take 10, 11 wins.
Who knows?
All bets could be off.
I think Tyreek will end up being in that discussion.
But here's the thing, Ocho, you know what happened.
The wide receiver has 2,000 yards.
The quarterback's got to have at least 45 to 5,000 yards.
5,000 yards, yeah.
So they're going to be chipping up each other.
They're chopping each other's boats up.
But yeah, Dak definitely should be in the MVP discussion
considering the way he's played,
especially the last month and a half, two months of the season.
Yeah. Absolutely. Playing real good football. And, you know, on the flip side,
Gino played a hell of a game. DK Metcalf played a hell of a game. I want to see,
even though they lost, even though they lost, and I know DK going to see this,
I need you to take over games like that week in and week out. Week in and week out, I need you to do exactly what you did tonight.
I don't care who you planned.
You have to impose your will on everybody you play.
If it's all for the coordinator,
if you got to talk to Gina,
if they got to move you around a little bit more,
you got to show up like that every time y'all play, man.
And you make that offense go.
That offense need to go through you.
Ocho, you know, sometimes in games like this, it comes
down to a miss. Remember that play that had
Lockett? And Lockett was lazy getting
out the break, and Geno hit him in the head and the ball.
Now you're going to get the ball
on the 20-yard line with a first down.
That was a beautiful time and two.
Man, he let the ball go before he even
came out the break. That was beautiful.
Yes, yes. And that's why
you got to snap.
What the quarterback always said, you got to snap that head around.
Before anything else, the head got to come around.
It got to.
It got to, Ojo.
But see, my head had to come around fast because I was playing with a strong-armed quarterback.
Right, right, right.
So if you lay with your head, he going to hit you upside the head.
And the people laughing at you, like, oh, look at you.
You think you're playing soccer.
The ball all upside your head.
So he was a little lazy with it, and he knew it.
He knew it.
But that's the difference that when you're a team that win ballgames,
you guys make those plays.
When you lose in ballgames, you find ways to miss those plays.
Let's go talk about Tyreek. Tyreek
said he felt like the side chick.
He went on RG3's podcast
and I don't know if he's joking or
serious. He said, Pat and Kelsey,
I was kind of jealous. I was hurt, bro. I was
hurt. Patrick, you ain't never invited me over
to your house like you did Kelsey. You
always invited Kelsey. And that's why we're
here where we're at now.
I've never been anybody's side chick before, never always in my whole life,
high school, middle school, all the quarterbacks.
I was their main chick always.
I go to KC, and now I'm the side chick.
That's funny.
That's funny.
Obviously, Tyreek being very, very facetious.
You take what he's saying with a grain of salt, a little humor, a little comedy to it, but you take what he's saying with a grain of salt little humor a little
comedy to it but i understand what he's saying his security blanket it is travis kelsey and it
always has been always will be but tyreek again being as special as he is he made that offense
even more special than what it already was he made it more special and dynamic than already was
obviously you can see it's still struggling a little bit with the ups and downs that they're having now.
Not having a true number one receiver that can not only take the top off of defense,
but can run those intermediate routes, can run those shallow routes,
and bounce his head off the goalpost from anywhere on the field.
That's somebody special.
That's why anytime I talk about Tyreek, I always put him in a category completely by his goddamn self
because we've never seen anything like that before.
Other than that, I mean, it's funny.
I love his sense of humor, too.
He's one of the few players that is playing today that keeps the game entertaining
and it forces you and makes you want to tune in to see what's next.
Did Carson ever invite you over to his house?
No.
No, because they
know I wouldn't go. They know I wasn't
showing up. Listen, when we leave
that stadium, I'm doing two
things. I'm going to Cigar Bar,
I'm going to the Jazz Club,
listen to some jazz sets, or I'm on my
video game. I'm not doing nothing
else. Don't invite me to your house
because I'm not showing up.
I mean, we used to go
early in my career we had i had a teammate uh italian teammate named reggie johnson yeah and
his girl would cook and she was an excellent cook and we go over there shoot pool play cards yeah
that was the thing you know we playing tongue you know we playing bull race what you know about tongue
man you know about you know about all that and so i went about tongue. You know about all that.
And so I went to a,
but I was,
I was not a big,
I was not a guy big into going to
other people's house.
Right, right, right.
That,
that wasn't my thing.
I kind of like,
like,
I see you guys,
I see you guys there
at work.
And so once I leave work,
Right.
I want to,
I want to go do my own thing.
I want to be to myself.
Right.
You know,
we go out, I mean, occasionally we went out. I wasn't a big go out type of a guy either, but I get it. I want to go do my own thing. I want to be to myself. You know, we go out.
I mean, occasionally we went out.
I wasn't a big go-out type of a guy either.
But I get it.
I mean, I get some guys, you know, they hung out.
They went to each other's house.
But that wasn't my thing, Ocho, either.
I wasn't big into going to teammates' house either.
Yeah.
You know, and the funny thing about once you get outside,
now what I did do, we didn't hang out at each other's houses's houses but the receivers the receiver room we did some things together sometime we'd go to dinner you know we
go to dinner and chop it up uh do some things of that nature but you know going to going to
someone's house it's just nothing wrong with it it's just something that i i just i didn't do
well i think to say well when mike got there what what did, what we did do is that he would have what we call casino night.
So once you were, no, you break.
And the guy that was going to make the team, he'd have a casino night.
So they have blackjack, they have craps table, they have all that.
And so everybody, he invited everybody over to come down with his wife.
They haven't, you know,
they haven't all this food and everybody would show up.
And that was really fun.
So, because we got an opportunity to win some really nice prizes.
Yeah.
Pearl necklaces and trips, vacation, things of that nature.
So, yeah.
Oh, yeah.
Mike.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
I mean, the thing, Mike was big.
Mike was big on team bonding.
So we go to training camp.
We'd have a day.
We'd go bowling.
Yeah.
We'd have a day.
So it'd be offense against the defense.
So you get your 10 best offensive players,
the 10 best defensive players, and we'd bowl against each other.
Yeah.
Okay?
Then we'd have a fishing derby.
You know, whoever catch the first fish,
whoever catch the most fish, whoever catch the biggest fish.
Oh, yeah.
Mike was big into that.
He would give us like, okay, guys, had a great week of practice.
We had a good couple of days of practice.
I'm going to give you the night off.
Don't get in any trouble.
Right.
Hey, we go, you know, hey, guys go to the movies.
Guys back in Greeley, this place called the Smiling Moose.
Guys would go up there, blow off a couple of little steam,
have a couple of drinks.
But it was great.
Mike was big.
Mike was big in the team building.
Team, get the thing.
Get the guy.
Know the guy other besides that he played D-line and that his number is 95.
Know something about the guy.
Know something about him.
He got kids.
He got a mom.
Yeah, know something about him.
So that's one aspect of it that I really appreciated about Mike.
I like that Casino Night idea. The only part, I wish I could have been a Mike. I like that casino night idea.
The only part, I wish I could have been a part of something like that,
something to that magnitude,
because I think if there was ever been a time where I would gamble,
actually spend a little money for a change, it would have to be-
Oh, no, they gave you-
He give you money.
So he give you fake money.
Yeah.
So he would come, you would come,
and he give you, say, I think like thirty five hundred dollars.
Oh, real, real money. No, no, no. It was. But, you know, the money was fake.
But you get an opportunity to whoever have the most money at the end of the night get to buy prizes with the fake money.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So you get an opportunity to buy the pearl necklace or the diamond necklace or the trip somewhere so that's that's how we did that
so what you know we do you know your boy had to hook that thing up you know your boy good with
the dice your boy good at blackjack so a couple of guys said sharp is what we gonna do we're gonna
give you our money go ahead and make that thing work for you know i'm looking to flip you know
i'm gonna hit a lick now you know your your boy. Right, right, right. You know, rolling them dice.
You know, nine, my point.
Born in 54.
Died in 63.
What's my point, Ocho?
I give you that.
Oh, man.
Oh, we had that thing.
That thing was lit.
That's dope.
But those, that's, you know what, Ocho?
And I tell people, that's what you miss.
Yeah.
Look, the game, the game is the game and the money.
I miss things like that.
The bus ride, the casino night, the fishing derbies, the bowling.
Those are the things that you, because you're never going to be able to do that again.
Nah.
You're never going to be able to do that again.
And you can't simulate it either.
And you can't replicate it no matter how much you try.
You can't.
Because you know, hey, guys are competitive.
You might start off bull-jiving, but now you're going up there to bowl.
The guy's in your ear.
The guy's doing the worm.
He's moonwalking.
You know what I'm saying?
He's doing all kinds of stuff to try to throw you off your game.
They're yelling.
Come on, bro.
You can't be yelling in the bowling.
They yelling and screaming.
They throwing stuff up in there.
Throw the towel.
They eat popcorn.
Yeah.
But those are the days, though.
So check this out.
Tyreek got two stories today.
Tyreek says he'll cover the salary of the videographer that was suspended by the NFL.
Kevin Fitzgibbons, a 20-year-old University of Miami student,
had been working Dolphins games since 2022,
released a video of how the league disciplined him
after Tyreek used his phone
to celebrate a touchdown backflip.
Fitzgibbons said after Tyreek celebrated with his phone,
he sent the video to the NFL,
but then later was notified
he would be suspended
for the remainder of the season
and possibly for good because
he had to
be disciplined.
They said, guess what
they suspended for? Because he jumped
up and down.
Listen, the NFL,
obviously it's all about control. it's it's always it's always
been about control it's always been about control they pick and choose when they want to enforce
certain rules depending on who it is like it's at this point it's ridiculous man this is
entertainment again tyreek being one of the most entertaining players in the league in the game
today getting someone that's a part of the nfl involved in the league, in the game today,
getting someone that's a part of the NFL involved in something that you want, a celebration.
Not only was it a celebration, it was a very creative celebration,
one that had never been done before. And you want eyes tuned into the games, and that is what he's doing.
This is a game about entertainment.
So when someone chooses to do just that, entertain, why do you fine them for it?
And now you have someone losing their job.
And from what I understand, I think Tyreek is going to cover the guy's salary for the year.
But guess what they did?
Huh?
Guess what they did?
What?
When you sent that video to them, they released it, didn't they? On all their platforms. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Of course they did? Huh? Guess what they did? What? When he sent that video to them, they released it, didn't they?
On all their platforms.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
Of course they did.
You so upset at the guy,
you disappointed,
why you put it out?
Yeah.
It's the same thing.
Go ahead, Ocho.
Go ahead.
You know why they put it out.
Because it's entertainment.
It's going to get eyes.
It's going to get the fans engaged.
It's going to get everybody watching.
Which makes no sense.
The powers that be the people that sit up there and positions of power with the
suit and ties. This is what you want for your game.
This is what you want players doing. Now, maybe, you know what you tell Tyreek,
listen, or you tell the guy, you can't be doing that. You can't be, you know,
having your phone and flipping boom. I understand, you know, but you don't,
you don't suspend the guy for exactly what you want.
So what you expect the guy to do?
The guy 20 years old.
The guy just,
somebody just,
some NFL player,
not just some,
Tyreek Hill just took my phone,
did a backflip,
doing a selfie.
And you don't think
I'm about to be excited.
I'm a Dolphins fan
at the end of the day.
I don't care what anybody tells you. Whome Whoever works in the NFL office, they have a team.
And when their team scores, they celebrate when their team does something good.
They celebrate. Most definitely. Most definitely. And I think the excuse, the excuse, they definitely suspended.
Right. It was a bull drive. It was a bull drive. And they would never be honest on why they did.
But the NFL,
the powers that be,
I'm sure you guys are going to see this.
You see everything that we do.
Let's do what's right.
If at any moment
or any chance you have,
let's do it right
for the young fella, man,
and get him his job back.
And give him a raise
because you embarrassed the man.
You talk about,
oh, we've got to discipline you?
Why?
Tell me why you got to do it.
What did he do?
He didn't disrupt the game.
He didn't run on the field.
He didn't run on the field and hand Tyreek the camera.
Tyreek came and took the camera out of his hand.
Out of his hand, yeah.
He's like, because I couldn't believe it.
Because I'm telling my team, Tyreek just scored a touchdown
and did a black backflip while taking a selfie.
Yeah. I would have been jumping up and down, too. Unheard of. That's unheard of. just scored a touchdown and did a black backflip while taking a selfie.
I'd have been jumping up and down too.
Unheard of.
That's unheard of.
Just the creativity, the authenticity of what he was able to do is unheard of.
It shouldn't be.
It's ridiculous at this point. It's to say, Ocho, I see.
I know you remember when they used to have big hits and jacked up.
They packaged that for years.
And then all of a sudden when guys said for concussions
and they wanted money, well, what?
Oh, y'all been packaging jacked up and greatest hits for 60 years.
Yeah, but you know that all ends when you got to come out of pocket.
It all ended.
Deion Sanders wins SI Sportsman
of the Year. Was Deion winning
the SI Award the right choice? I guess
they stopped the voting in September?
Oh, that's what the people are saying.
The people are saying they stopped. No, no, no, no.
Oh, I was going to say.
I mean, I guess
because they said, you know, he was
4-0, 3-1, and now all of know, he was four and what, four and oh, three and one.
And now all of a sudden he had this losing streak.
So therefore, basically, he should be disqualified from being an SI sports person.
Absolutely not. He deserves exactly what he deserves.
He deserves to be on the on the cover, on the SI cover.
What he was able to do in that at that program in such a short amount of time.
They went one eleven last year of they went one 11 last
year,
they went one 11 last year.
I understand he went three and over or three and one or four and one or
whatever it might've been.
He lost the last eight,
but still to be able to go into a program like that,
bring your own luggage with you and change it for the better.
And it will only continue to get better because you know,
with the portal and then when,
when the season ends,
you know,
you have transfers and all that other stuff that goes on.
And he told you before the season started, what do I need to compete?
What do I need to compete?
O-line and D-line. I need my meat and potatoes.
That is the only way I'm going to be able to compete. So we understand
the landscape of what he has and the roster that he has.
He doesn't have a roster to compete with the UCLA's
or the USC's or the UCLA's or the USC's
or the Oregon's or the Utah, you know, teams of that magnitude.
But once he gets them in, you're going to continue to see that record
improve year in and year out.
I'm not sure why people are upset that he won that award.
Who else are you going to give it to?
Think about it.
Tell me who else you're going to give it to except another team
that wins every single year. college what college coach no no i don't necessarily i don't think
si it has to be a college coach maybe people thinking nicola yokich could have won it
or uh uh uh like i said i don't i don't i don't know the candidates who was up for the award the
right person won the award the right the right person won the award. The right person won the award,
especially was able to do it in such a short amount of time at a horrible,
previously horrible program.

LeBron James says he'll miss the Lakers game to watch Bronny's college debut. I already told my teammates that if they're
playing the same day we're playing, I'm
going to catch them the next game. Family
over everything. Yeah.
What is your take on this?
You goddamn right. Shit.
I miss a game too.
I would definitely miss a game.
He got 882 up anyway.
If missing one,'t going to hurt,
especially to see your son,
his first collegiate basketball game.
Absolutely.
And the funny thing about it is
I'm not sure if anybody would actually have a problem
with LeBron missing a game to see his son play,
being who he is.
I'm sure they would.
You think they would?
I think some would because the simple fact is that, you know,
you sign up for stuff like this.
You're going to miss recitals.
You're going to miss stuff.
Oh, no, sir.
Let me ask you a question.
If it's a playoff game, game seven, you missing it?
What are you saying, game seven?
Whoa, whoa, whoa.
Time out.
We talking about hypotheticals.
Hold on.
Time out?
No.
You said family over everything.
So if it's family over everything, it's family over everything in all situations.
So again, let me ask you,
playoff game, game seven, NBA finals,
you missing it.
That's different.
I don't think he's missing it.
Why not?
No, it ain't family over everything.
It just so happens to be family.
So he's looking at these games.
He's looking at these games.
Like I said, me, me,
I would because I'm going all in, Ocho.
You already know.
You hear me talk.
You know how I am about football. You know how I am about football.
You know how I am about any sport.
I give it my all.
Nightcap, like I said, I spent $300,000 on a season ticket
and went to one game.
Whoa, whoa, whoa.
Wait a minute.
Come on back home to me now.
Come on back home to me now.
I told you about spending money like that.
You spent $300,000 on Lakers tickets?
And how many games have I been to, Ocho?
I don't know because I don't watch basketball.
One.
My daughter, I took my daughter, it was my daughter's
birthday, I took on a Thursday.
I signed up to do nightcap. I signed up to do
nightcap with you Sunday, Monday,
Thursday. Oh, so you
missed out on the game because of our union?
Because this is what I signed up for.
Boy, you know what? You are right, boy.
I don't care what they say about you, boy. You are right with me.
Now, if you want me to fight, we can do...
I can come to LA. I can do nightcap right
there next to you so we can go to the Lakers game
because I ain't got no problem. Let me
know. I don't want you to waste no $300,000.
Boy, tickets cost that much?
Man, this is the Lakers.
I don't know who paid for the tickets at Philly,
but it's a whole different animal out here, bro.
It's a whole different animal.
Yeah, I think...
Doug works some magic with that.
Doug works some magic.
300,000?
Yeah, yeah.
Like for season tickets?
Yeah.
God damn.
For two.
Ooh.
So all them people be at the core side of lick again they they got they got money like that
you see who be sitting down there don't you yeah yeah yeah yeah and you go down there
everybody wearing paddocks everybody wearing aps everybody wearing rollies everybody iced out
everybody yeah yeah yeah they got it like that. Oh, Joe. Yeah.
Listen, I never forget.
I sat courtside with my son.
My son was little.
He might have been maybe five or six.
I sat next to Denzel.
This was years ago.
I'm not playing around.
I'm sure you could find the picture.
You could Google it or just pop it up.
And that was the last time I sat courtside.
And Ms. Buss actually gave me those tickets back then.
This was so long ago because my son was yay high.
He got a picture with Kobe.
Man, my son might have been five or six.
Yeah.
Yeah, I'll never forget that.
But hold on.
That's 300,000 for only like 22 games.
Whoa, whoa.
You said –
22 games.
Wait a minute.
You said –
22 games? Yeah, there's 22 games. Wait a minute. You said – 22 games?
Yeah, there's 42 games.
No, no, no.
Yeah, there's 42 games.
It's 41 games.
Oh, okay.
Well, I was going to say –
It's 82 games.
You play 41 on the road.
Right.
41 at home.
Okay, okay, okay, okay.
I thought you said 20.
I thought you said 21.
I'm like, whoa.
Yeah, that's what I got.
I got 21 games, and somebody else got 20 games.
Oh, so you don't got the whole 40.
The whole 40 would have cost me about $750,000.
Oh, nigga.
Oh, hell nah.
Man, you bullshit, man.
Man, you know I wouldn't lie to you about that, Ocho.
You got me thinking you got the whole 41 home games.
Nah.
Nah, we had a lottery system. I pick
a game, he pick a game. I pick a game, he
pick a game.
Nah, man. Man, they got me fucked
up, man.
I'm just saying, Ocho.
God damn.
I signed up
to do nightcap
Sunday night, Monday night, and if there was a game on Friday, Friday night. If there's acap Sunday night, Monday night.
And if there was a game on Friday, Friday night,
if there's a game on Saturday, Saturday night, Monday night,
that's what I signed up for. Right. Right. Right.
It doesn't call for me to say, okay, you know what?
Ocho I did that. That was a one-off.
Had that not been my daughter's birthday. Right.
And at the time when I got the tickets, I didn't even know we were going to do a night birthday. Right. And at the time when I got the tickets,
I didn't even know
we were going to do a nightcap.
Right.
So I got the tickets
way before I had
purchased the ticket
because I'm like,
oh, your boy's going to be,
hey, your boy's going to be
sitting at that thing
on the court side.
I'll be there all the time.
They're going to be like,
damn.
Yeah.
And then I get,
then they're like,
okay, nightcap is a possibility.
You and I talk.
We have a meeting.
Like, okay.
But I'm already at 300 grand. Yeah. Yeah. So now I'm like, okay, what am is a possibility. You and I talk. We have a meeting. Like, okay. But I'm already at 300 grand.
Yeah. Yeah.
I'm like, okay, what am I going to do? So I
told her, I said, baby,
she's like, daddy, because she told me, she said,
daddy, I appreciate that. Because she's like,
I know you don't miss work for nothing.
You don't miss work for
nothing, daddy. Right. She's like, I don't,
she's like, I ain't got
that kind of work in the day because I missed my job in a minute. said i don't pay but that's but that's the way i'm wired
right and so although i understand lebron's decision that's not that's not how that's not
what i'm not sure i don't think i would have done that right right i i i get what i get what you're
saying but but everybody's different though like you said everybody's different, Ocho. Like you said, everybody's different. You say, hey, I'm gone.
Oh, yeah, I'm gone.
I'm gone.
I'm definitely gone.
But, boy,
man, I'm out of there.
Bro, check this out, Ocho.
Let's just say,
for the sake of our,
I have, like,
if my sister had to call me and told me my grandmother passed
and it was a Saturday night,
I would have played that Sunday.
Because I already know
what she's going to want.
She's going to be like, I'm already there, boy. What you going to do? Yeah's going to want. She's going to be like, I'm already there,
boy, what you going to do?
She's going to be like, boy, what you going to do?
Go take care of what you need to take
care of. Your
granny going to be right here.
That's our mentality.
My grandfather died.
I missed the day of the funeral.
She's like, what you sitting home
for? Doing what?
So that's how
I've been my mentality. But LeBron
James, am I surprised he's doing it?
Absolutely not.
I am not surprised
when I owe them. But I'll probably
feel the same way. Bro, you're our best player.
Yeah. We need you.
We need you.
Especially a regular season game you know
we got AD I mean you could
stand and based on what LeBron has
accomplished and who he is as a father
and understanding you know the makeup
and how he moves in general
as a father man shit I ain't saying
nothing I tell you Bron go ahead if I play
for Lakers man go ahead bro I got you
tonight I got you
what time the game start I have my Lakers, man, go ahead, bro. I got you tonight. I got you. Hey, hey, hey, hey. What time the game start?
Because I have my Lakers uniform on.
Go there, catch Bronny.
Go there, catch Bronny, get a couple points.
Then I head right on back to the Lakers game.
That would be dope.
But I think the thing, you know what?
As I look back and think about what he went through, yeah, Bron, hell,
I take the whole week off now.
I wasn't even thinking about what Bronny went through. Hell, this moment like not even happened this year. Yeah, bro. Hell, I take the whole week off now. I wasn't even thinking about what Bronny went through.
Hell, this moment like not even
happened this year. So hell,
bro, what the hell you talking about? I would have told
him nothing. They'd be like, hey, where's
LeBron James at?
Right there,
USC, right?
That's my boy.
Considering, Ocho, considering
the scare that they got,
given what Bronny had gone through, yeah, yeah.
Now, yeah, you're right.
You're right.
You're right.
Yeah, missed that mug.
See?
I ain't going.
See?
I ain't going.
I ain't going.
I ain't going.
I'm not.
Yeah.
Mm-mm.
Mm-mm.
Yeah, I forget.
I forgot all about what Bronny had gone through.
Check this out, Ocho.
I got Keith Lee, a Texas bakery, the puttery,
went from just five customers per day to having lines around the block
after Keith Lee gave his door owner,
now proud of stellar reviews for her dessert.
I guess she had told him some days she would have only two customers.
Damn.
He came, gave it,
going reviews, lying around the block.
I like it.
I like it, but I still,
I got one problem though.
What is it?
I told Keith Lee,
and I know he saw my video,
when you start going back,
doing reviews, let me know
so I can do the goddamn review with you.
And he's still doing reviews, and
I'm still at home.
No. He don't want to do no review with you.
Why? He said, cause.
Cause what? You question that man.
Question that man. I ain't question that man.
I just said, you know, the bad critiques.
I just, you know how I feel about that,
man. I'm giving everybody, I'm giving
everybody the goddamn, I'm giving everybody the glory.
No, but you can't do that
because if you give everybody a good review
and the food ain't no good,
now, Ocho, now you damaging your credibility.
Well, listen, everybody experiences different.
That's like dating one woman
and you tell your friend,
but you don't want to date her
and then he had a time of her life with her.
Yeah, well, hold on, hold on.
Did I date her first?
You talking about you had a time of,
you dirty, man.
I can't do that, Ocho.
Hell no.
You better head on time.
That might have been a bad analogy, but I'm just saying.
No, no, no, it's not.
No, it's not.
No, I get what you're saying.
You get what I'm saying?
Okay.
I was just saying, when I think about the service industry, I want people to us and doing anything and how difficult it is
for us to have anything, to have it up and running and to get us to support each other,
because you know how we are. When it comes to us, everything has to be immaculate. It has to be
perfect and top-notch. And sometimes it's not always like that. Not always like that,
which is why I would always want those reviews to always be, you know, given in a positive manner because we're very fickle.
We're very fickle as a society and as a community.
And that's all I was saying.
But what Keith Lee is doing is fucking amazing.
And I promise you, if Keith Lee doesn't take me on his next trip or visit, whatever state he's going to, we're going to fight.
Well, I guess I ain't got to worry about nobody coming to my house to eat because they saw my dog
sitting on my lap when I was at
Thanksgiving dinner.
People was mad about that. I saw that.
You said it the last show.
You said nothing
comes before your dogs,
including the woman coming into your life.
She have to accept that.
Yes. And people say,
yo, grandma, bro, do you know, like,
my grandma know I had the dogs
and they be at the table?
Right.
Yes.
My grandmother knew that.
Yes.
When I grew up, Ocho,
we did not have dogs in the house.
We had dogs,
but they were chained,
they were tied up under the shed.
Right, right.
My grandfather had dogs.
My uncle had hunting dogs.
He had bloodhounds,
blue ticks, red bones.
You know the term red bone? You know where that came from a dog yeah that's a hunting dog red bone a red bone
is an actual hunting dog that's what a term that they refer to women as that's where the term came
from okay okay okay okay yes blue ticks yes Yeah. Black and tan tree. Yes.
My uncles and grandfather had all those dogs,
but they were in pens or they were chained up.
Cause hunting dogs,
you had to have them in a pen because they get on the trail or something and
they gone.
They gone.
Right.
So they get,
they get the tracking.
Right.
It's a wrap.
Gone.
Right.
So yes, my grandmother had no problem.
Once I got dogs, as a matter of fact, I had two Rottweilers, Kane and Killian.
I had them in Denver with me.
And then I went going to this place and they wouldn't let me have dogs over certain size.
I sent the dogs to my sister and my grandmother.
I wanted, when I came home,
I wanted to bring the dogs with me
to Atlanta. My grandma said, no, you can't
take these dogs. I said, granted, but
they're my dogs. I'll pay for them. She said,
so? You should have let me and your sister have them.
Right, right, right, right. No Indian
given. No Indian given. Yeah. So
she was cool with
the dog. I ain't had the dog on the
table. They make it seem like the dog,
everybody else had served their food. The dog
was sitting in my lap in front of my food.
And all y'all talking,
y'all women, what you think
that hair, that's not your hair.
Where you think that hair be at on the table?
Uh-oh, okay, okay.
Bump of y'all gums, shedding over
everything.
Yeah, okay.
Now I done got that off my chest.
I'm good now.
I like what you're doing there.
You talking spicy.
Y'all are not going to come between me and my dog.
Me and my dog and my family.
Because everybody knows
how I get down.
Hey, I like it. Boy, you stand on business
by them goddamn dogs, man. Okay, I like it. Boy, you stand on business by them goddamn dogs, man.
Okay, I see you.
I see you.
Okay.
Now, if my grandmother
would have had a problem with it,
I'm never going to be disrespectful
to my grandmother.
If she says,
Shannon, I don't want the dogs in the house,
the dog's not coming in the house.
Yeah.
But at my house,
it's just like,
Ocho, my mom used to smoke.
I said, Mom, you can't smoke in the house. You can go back porch and smoke. Okay. That's my house. It's just like, oh, Joe, my mom used to smoke. I said, mom, you can't smoke in the house.
You can go back porch and smoke.
Okay. That's my mom.
But she respects my house.
Okay. Yeah, that's my grandmother's house.
Yes, me and my brother bought that.
But I got too much respect for her.
They're like, hold on.
I wouldn't even come
into my grandmother's house after midnight.
I would not even bring a girl and sleep in my grandmother's house after midnight. I would not even sleep.
I would not even bring a girl and sleep in my grandmother's house.
When I come home, I stayed at the hotel.
I didn't sleep in my grandmother's house with a woman because I got too much respect for her, even though she said, baby, hey, you pay for the house.
No, no, Grant, I got too much respect for you to lay up with a woman in your home.
That's not going to happen.
We're going to go to the hotel.
It's okay.
Yeah, it ain't no risk.
It's not the fourth season.
But guess what?
It's a respect factor that I had for my grandmother that I'm not coming in the house after midnight.
Never, ever have I ever set one foot in my grandmother's house after midnight from the time I was able
enough to go out from 13 or 14
till I'm 25, 35,
40. Never. And that wasn't
going to happen then. I've never had a
woman in my granny's house.
Ever? No!
Not to have no
sex? No!
No, I ain't say to have sex.
I mean, just in general. To meet my grandma? Yeah! Yeah, no, Ocho. No, no, No, bro. No, I ain't say they have sex. I mean, just in general. To meet my
grandma, yeah. Yeah, no,
Ocho, no, no, no, no. Ocho, you know
how it is in the South. I don't look at it. I can't
speak for everybody else, but I know
where I'm from, that's the utmost
respect. I could not in good conscience
lay up my grandmother down the
hall, and I got a woman laying up in
my room. Right.
You know,
you know where I'm from, obviously. You know, I'm from the city, I'm
from Liberty City.
And, you know, people that know me or know my grandma very well, you know, she didn't
play that.
She didn't play that.
She was a school counselor.
She was a teacher.
She worked for the Dade County Public School System.
So you already know she in church every Sunday on Wednesday in Bible study.
I don't need to tell you no more.
So you already know what time it is.
Bring who in her house?
Man, shit.
Jameda?
Ain't nobody sleeping there.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
And listen, I had,
and I ain't even finna sit here and stunt,
but I had to be in the house
before the goddamn
streetlight came on. When that
streetlight started flickering and
she come on that porch and call my name,
I better be in distance
where I can hear.
We had that
light that come on once it got dark. But we'd be
shooting basketball. But no, there's...
Look, my grandpa,
my uncle, guy that, look, my grandpa, my uncle,
guys that were dated,
my aunts,
when they came over to date my aunts,
you know what my grandfather told them?
He said,
nobody have sex here but me and the girl's mom.
Don't play that with me.
All that sneaking,
Barney Porter didn't play that.
Straight up, huh?
Go to, I tell you what,
go to Glenville right now.
Anybody my age from 50 to 75.
Yeah.
Ask them about Barney Porter.
He ain't play.
Ain't play.
That's what, matter of fact, ain't no play.
He said, grown men don't play.
He said, I remember, Ocho, he said, you know what?
The way you play, everybody don't play how you play.
Right.
So be careful playing with people.
Okay.
Yeah.
All that playing.
You see all these people on social media pranking people.
Okay, that's how you play.
That's how you play.
Everybody don't play like you play.
That's a dangerous game.
Yes.
That's a dangerous game.
Man, Ocho, I got slapped so hard one time.
You know when I was going, you know people used to say, your mama?
Yeah.
Man, I was working in the field, Ocho, and I'd never forget Henretta.
And somebody going to cut this clip up and send it to her in Glenville.
Man, I told Henretta, she said something.
I said, your mama?
Bah!
Her sister.
Yeah.
Bell.
Her name Maybell.
We call her Bell.
Yeah.
Man, Bell slapped her. Tastes out my mouth. I said, what you slapped me for? I Bell, her name Maybell, we call her Bell. Yeah. Man, Bell slapped her,
taste out my mouth.
I said,
what you slapped me for?
I said,
her mama.
She said,
we got the same damn mama.
Mama.
I ain't do that no more.
Yeah.
I ain't do that no more,
Hocho.
Yeah.
So,
you playing
how you play?
Playing,
yeah.
Everybody don't play
how you play now.
They don't play the same.
Exactly. T. Exactly.
T.I. pulled up on a club in Atlanta.
Oh, yeah.
Using pictures of his son to promote a party they weren't played for.
They weren't paid for.
He's like, don't play with me in this city.
You know better than that.
You know better than that.
You know better than to make a mockery of a family situation like that
with a
staple of Atlanta.
Keep on the A!
Why even play? That's like, come on.
What we doing?
What we doing?
Listen, I like that T.I. stood
on business. I like that he stood...
For sure! Am I using that terminology
right? I'm old now. I'm just trying to make some...
Yeah, I'm saying it right? Yeah, stand on business. I'm just trying to make some... Stand on business. Yeah, stand...
Am I saying it right?
Yeah, stand on business.
I'm glad he stood on business
and confronted those people.
They know they was dead wrong.
They dead wrong for that, man.
You trying to promote something.
Okay, you want...
Hey, you want to promote the man.
Pay the man.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And matter of fact,
I don't even think
they would be able to afford his fee.
Let's start there.
Well, then don't put the man and son in it. don't put the man and his son on the fly then.
Trying to be funny, trying to attract attention,
knowing that if you put that on the fly, what everybody going to do?
They going to, hey, Tip, hey, man, you at such and such,
you hosting such and such?
Yeah.
What you talking about?
That too, and get people to come.
Right.
I can see if you in Miami or you somewhere else, okay, tip. Man, nah,
hell nah. He got to pick up a phone.
You can't play with that man in there, eh?
Because he going to pull up.
And rightfully so.
He did just that too.
He's supposed to. You think they changed it?
I don't know what happened.
Look, they don't play with T.I.
Now, T.I. ain't about that business no more.
But T.I. is about that business.
Right, right, right, right.
Real business.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
I know.
They know T.I.
Yeah.
I know.
Do you think some elite athletes in college all of a sudden go to the NFL
and forgot how to play football, especially QBs?
No.
Did he say elite?
Yeah.
See, Ocho, and this is what I've always tried to explain to people.
Right.
Just because you're good in high school doesn't mean you're going to be good in college.
Nah.
Just because you're good in college doesn't mean you're going to be good in the NFL.
Everything is not transferable everybody
thinks that all of a sudden well he was a good running back in college well he was a good a wide
receiver a quarterback no yeah it don't work like that there were some guys that were okay
and then you're like how do everybody is not going to have a stellar career
like Peyton Manning.
Come out top-notch with the number one recruited player
when he came into college.
He was the number one overall draft pick,
and now he leads with five MVPs, a Super Bowl MVP, and two Super Bowl titles.
And he had all the records, passing yards, passing touchdowns
when he left the game.
Everybody's not going to have it like that.
And so we just, we just, we get so, man, ooh, you see a mojo?
That boy going to be bad in the NFL.
Why you say that?
Because he bad in college?
Nah.
It's different.
It's different.
I don't think people understand the significance and the jump in talent.
Yes. the the significance and the jump in talent yes once you get to the nfl you are literally
the best of the best in the world and considered the one percent yeah one percent at your job
out of billions of people in the world like think about that and you know i never i never thought
about it that way you're the best of the best.
So when we talk about some of these players that are the best at what they do,
the Tyreek Hills, your C.D. Lambs, your Dak Prescott, your Patrick Mahomes,
dog, out of billions in the world, you are the one.
The best.
The best.
And it's just such a huge jump.
And the transition doesn't always translate when you leave college to the NFL.
Because the level of talent is damn near equal.
Yes.
It's damn near equal.
The only thing that separates you probably when you get an edge is mentally and being technically sound.
Yeah.
That's it.
You got to believe. Yeah. I believe that when I stepped on the field, I was the baddest mofo out there. That's it. You got to believe.
Yeah.
I believe that when I stepped on the field, I was the baddest mofo out there.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, yeah.
I believe that was.
I believe that everything that I endured up until that point had prepared me for that moment.
So there was nothing I was going to encounter on the field that I hadn't already faced a more difficult time coming up.
Right.
So now I had to put the work in.
I had studied.
I had done everything.
That's what, see, Ocho, and I'm like, hold on.
I'll give you a play last night.
Seattle got stopped on fourth down.
Okay, what does game tape tell you?
In 31 or 431, D-Law, Demarcus Lawrence, liked to pinch inside.
He likes to cross the guy's face.
Okay, they got the safety, walked down on the line of scrimmage.
Where the hell you think the D-line going?
Inside.
Force everything to bounce to the safety.
And then the tight end let the safety beat him.
I'm like, bro, what do y'all watch?
Do y'all watch tape D-Law?
And I haven't even broken D-Law down.
I'm just watching game coverage, just watching him week in and week out
because the Cowboys, I know we're going to talk about the Cowboys.
Just watching him.
Third and one, fourth and one, D-Law crossing somebody's face.
Because I want a portion of the bounce.
I'll be there.
I'll be there.
To say, bro. I'm like, bro, come on now. Yeah. Yeah.
I just don't get it. Ken Fulton asked,
there are only three numbers retired in Denver.
Do you think Denver will ever retire 84 or 30? You and TD deserve it.
I doubt it. I don't, You know, at one point in time,
I was like, man, it'd be cool to have a number retired.
But then, hell, after everybody done
wore it, after I done had it all night,
I don't think about it anymore. I got
one retired. I got number two retired
in Savannah State. I'm good.
I'm good.
There we go.
You want number 85?
You want 85 retired enough

Isaac Curtis is the original 85.
I remember
Isaac Curtis. Isaac Curtis is the original 85. I remember Isaac Curtis. Isaac Curtis is the original 85.
They changed multiple rules because of Isaac Curtis being the offensive weapon
that he was back then.
So I've always showed tremendous respect to him and what he did with the Bengals.
But most of the time when people see that number 85, it is synonymous.
Did they think Ocho? Synonymous with Ocho. But, you know, most of the time when people see that number 85, it is synonymous.
Is it Ocho?
It's synonymous with Ocho, you know?
When you see the number 85 in general,
it doesn't even have to be Bengal related.
It's still synonymous with Ocho Senor.
Yeah.
Yeah, you know?
So, I mean, with all due respect, it's cool.
That's cool.
I mean, but you know what, Ocho?
I mean, think about it.
From Liberty City, and you got your name and number up in the ring of fame.
So everybody come up in that thing.
They're like, man.
What they got?
They got Chad Johnson or they got Ocho Cinco Johnson?
They got Johnson.
I think they should put a hyphen and put Ocho Cinco next to it.
Yeah.
That's a crazy feeling, man.
It is, man. Yeah, and it didn't hit me until after the fact.
You know, during the ceremony, it was cool.
My family was there.
T.O. was there.
You know, my kids, French Friday, all there.
And I looked up.
They let the little drape down.
And I looked at my name.
And it was like, you know what?
Boom, that's cool.
Boom.
I shook hands, shook Boomer's hand.
I hugged Big Willie.
And I hugged Anthony Munoz, Ken Anderson, and then that's it.
And then I got home in the bed. I got home to the hotel in the bed with Rel and boom, it hit me.
Oh, that's crazy. I'm from Liberty City, man. Born in Jackson Memorial Hospital. Grew up in the 40s during the craziest era
of all time. And my name is in a stadium
when the odds were stacked against me.
And I happened to make it out. That's unbelievable
when you think about it. The comfort where I come from and now
to walk into a stadium
and your name
and your legacy is cemented.
Like, they can't take that away.
That ain't going nowhere.
No.
Like, that's dope.
Absolutely not.
That's dope, man.
That's dope.
Christopher Howard asks,
with Brandon Staley
and Sean McDermott on notice,
which team has the better
coaching opportunities
and upside, Bills or Chargers?
Ooh, that's a good one.
Both of them.
Shit, from what they got from an offensive standpoint,
I like both of them.
I like both of them.
And that goddamn roster over there,
the defensive roster over there in San Diego,
I'd rather go there.
Oh, my goodness, yes.
Yeah, I'm going to L.A. for the weather. I'm going to L.A. for the weather.
I'm going to L.A. for the weather.
I mean, because both of the quarterbacks,
I mean, you got two big strong-arm quarterbacks
that apparently don't miss games.
You got Jen, you got Diggs,
Stephon Diggs, you got Gabe Davis,
you got two Kinkades, I mean, you got
two tight ends,
nice offensive line,
you go to the Chargers,
you got Eckler, you got
Keenan Allen, you got Mike Williams, although he's
injured, you got Everett,
I mean, both.
I think both.
Is it Quentin Nelson or Qu it Quinn Nelson or Quinn Johnson?
Quinn Johnson.
Quinn Johnson.
Quinn Johnson.
Quinn Nelson is the guard for the Colts.
Yeah, okay.
Yeah.
Look, the taxes in California are going to eat you up.
Oh, yes, they is.
The weather is really nice.
But, I mean, think about it.
I'm getting nine games a year
because I play indoors and the Raiders
are indoors. So I'm getting nine
games a year in ideal climate.
In a beautiful
stadium at that. But here's the thing. Here's
the one drawback.
Patrick Holmes is going to be in this division
for another 10 years.
If you go to the
AFC East,
you got Zach Wilson,
you got Mack Jones,
and you got Tua.
Do you want to deal with one of those guys
or do you want 10 years
of Pat Mahomes?
Pat your mom.
You have to weigh your options.
I ain't running for that smoke.
I'm going,
I'm going,
I want to battle Pat Mahomes.
You want to battle my whole boy?
Yeah, I want to battle,
I want to battle, I want to battle Pat Mahomes? Yeah, I want to battle Pat.
I like that. I want to compete.
I got a new watch today, too.
I forgot to show you.
Let me see what you got.
What is that?
From Target.
Oh, no.
Now, it was $10.
I posted it on my story earlier today.
It looked like a Cartier, though my story earlier today. It looked like a
Cartier, though, don't it?
It looked like a Carter.
It looked like a Carter. They left the I.
They just said a Carter. They didn't say Cartier.
That's a Carter.
And they ain't talking about Sean Carter, either.
Nah, don't play now.
You know this thing looks spiffy. It looked real classy,
man. It looked real classy.
See, if I ain't say nothing,
somebody asked me today,
they was like,
hey, boy,
what you got on your wrist, boy?
I said, I was like,
man, this shit,
Cartier.
He ain't know no better.
He ain't know no difference.
You know, to the naked eye,
they'll never know.
But it cost me $10.
It looked good, though.
Well, you see,
good thing I ain't got
no naked eyes.
I dress my eyes up.
I know that was some bull jive.
Sean Pearson. Sean Pearson
said, Ogunocho, where do you rank Larry Fitzgerald
standing among receivers all the time?
I don't think he gets mentioned
enough.
I like Fitz.
I like Fitz. Fitz is one
of those, you know what, I'm finna put my hard
hat on and I'm finna go to work.
It ain't finna be pretty. If you throw it, I'm gonna catch it. I'm gonna put my hard hat on and i'm gonna go to work it ain't it ain't gonna be
pretty if you throw it i'm gonna catch it i'm gonna get the job done every time that that blue
collar do it the right way perfect perfect example of model citizen model football player if there
was somebody you want to be like it's somebody your mama said if you want if you want to bring
an athlete home this is the one you want to bring home you somebody your mama say if you want if you want to bring an athlete
home this is the one you want to bring home you know every everything about him he's the real deal
top five i think even statistically i love fitzy man yeah yeah i definitely think where he ranks
um for me um i think jerry's the greatest right uh and some people argue say well it's randy but
i'm gonna go jerry i mean the man got 197 receiving touchdowns ocho yeah yeah the man got 44 he got
44 more receiving touchdowns than anybody in the history of the game the man got 22 000 receiving
yards yeah yeah in an era when they didn't throw the ball like they throw it 60
70 percent of the time now and he was doing things i mean the dude had 22 touchdowns in 12 games
so for me jerry is it um i like to at two. I got Randy at three. Right.
That's me.
Because I just love T.O. I love T.O. on the field and his ability
because I know I was going to get everything he got every single play.
Every time.
Every single game.
Yeah.
You know, any time I always talk about, you know, for me,
it's like what Jerry was able to do, man.
It's just.
People take for granted, man.
You don't.
Like I say, Ocho, see, people think now.
I think the thing is, people think now that football and basketball and baseball didn't start until the Internet came to be.
And they just they just like, oh, man, he wasn't.
Bro, y'all better go back and look at what Jerry did. Yeah. Yeah. came to be. And they just, they just like, oh man, he wasn't, bro,
y'all better go back and look at what Jerry did.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I mean,
the man went to,
he was,
I think he was a 10 time
first team all pro.
Mm-hmm.
For a wide receiver.
And they only two slots.
Yeah.
It ain't,
see,
back when we were coming,
they didn't have no flex.
Right. It wasn't no flex nothing.
It was two wide receivers and one tight end and two running backs.
You got to go.
You got to work.
That's it.
Yeah.
Yeah, I never had the opportunity to see Jerry play in person.
Obviously, I've seen the footage.
I've seen the film.
I've watched the one-on-ones.
But being able to see Moss and T.O. in person for Obviously, I've seen the footage. I've seen the film. I've watched the one-on-ones. But being able to see Moss
and T.O. in person for years.
Yeah. And I try to
tell people. I try to explain it to them.
Listen, watching what Randy did
on Thanksgiving with that 3-for-1, 63
and three touchdowns.
Or what T.O. did in Dallas.
Or what T.O. did in Philly. Or what T.O. did
when he was the 49ers. Unless
you were able to see it in person, watching
it on film, watching it on
YouTube, it would do you no
justice unless you saw it with the naked
ass. Un-fucking-
believable. The receivers of the day
are phenomenal. The receivers of the day
are great, but they
are nothing.
And I mean that in a respectful way.
Nothing like watching them two.
The guys are skilled now,
but the physicality
has been legislated out of the ballgame.
Yeah.
So you can't...
See, a lot of back then,
it was all about intimidation.
Yeah.
It was all about intimidation.
And all that talking and all that celebration
celebrating okay yeah you want to celebrate yeah oh okay oh they gonna get they gonna get you
bro they gonna get you they would take cheap they would take cheap shots at you they would
light your ass yeah yeah yeah keep talking keep talking yeah i'm gonna keep talking me i can Keep talking. Y'all gonna keep talking.
Me, I ain't can't look here.
Y'all was gonna hit me anyway.
Y'all trying to make it seem like
the only reason y'all hit me
is because I'm talking.
No, y'all was gonna get me anyway
because I'm on the other team.
So I'm gonna keep talking.
Exactly.
But guess what?
I'm gonna get your ass back too.
I'm gonna get you back.
Hey, matter of fact,
you know what I'm thinking about?
What?
Calvin motherfucking Johnson.
Yeah. Mm-hmm. Man, unfair. fact you know what i'm thinking about what calvin motherfucking johnson yeah
man unfair it's like god god god it's like it's like god was messing around
up there with the football gods and said boom here you go right cal when i think of calvin johnson
and his makeup it's like and and what god did when he created messy obviously
completely different statures you know and completely different sports he would just
fuck around and say you know what here y'all go and man un-fucking-believable talents to watch in
person man they are and i got it like i said i see the, like, the greats and, you know, to see Reggie and Bruce and the DTs and the LTs and the Times and those guys in their prime.
Now you get an appreciation.
Yeah.
To watch guys just, like, move up and down the line.
I mean, they put Reggie at the three technique, the five technique, the seven, the nine.
Yeah.
It didn't matter. And dominated all of seven, the nine. Yeah. And dominated
all of them. Dominated.
Yeah. Dominated.
To see Bruce, he played a five and just like,
I mean, they changed, well,
unabated to the quarterback because
Bruce knocked Boomer Sison out of the game.
He jumped the snap. He jumped the snap
count and they didn't blow it dead. He knocked him out.
Hmm. Oh, yeah.
Oh, they would literally knock you out of the game.
Ocho, they would knock you out, Ocho.
They would knock you out of the game.
No, seriously, Ocho. They would knock you out. Your quarterback?
Oh, they would
knock your quarterback out of the game.
That's crazy.
It is what it is, Ocho.
And the funny thing about it,
before you ask the question,
Tyreek Hill is in that same
conversation,
especially with the boys, too, and he's still playing.
Like, he like that.
That's how special he is.
Oh, yeah.
And with his speed, I mean, Tyreek is how old?
Tyreek is what, 29 maybe?
He's not that old.
Not yet, I don't think.
Maybe 27.
28, 29?
Because I think Pat Mahomes.
I think Mahomes.
Huh?
29.
Yeah.
Okay, okay, okay, okay.
Yeah.
But that's still not 30.
But see, the thing is, because of that speed,
he's still going to be able to play,
put up numbers for another three to five years.
I'm talking about the numbers that he's putting up now.
Now, I'm not saying he's going to get, I believe he's going to get 2,000 this year. Yeah. At least I'm hoping. Because I want to five years. I'm talking about the numbers that he's putting up now. Now, I'm not saying he's going to get, I believe he's going to get
2,000 this year. At least I'm hoping.
Because I want to see it.
I like seeing it.
I played, you know, a block for a guy that got
2,000 rush yards. It's something to see.
You see a guy get 2,000
rush yards. To see something that
hasn't been done. And to see Tyreek
to be the first to do it. Because I think
it takes a special guy to see Tyreek to be the first to do it because I think because it takes a special guy
because you got to be
there every week. You can't miss a game, Mocho.
You can't miss a game.
And he gonna get
one or two big ones too. He gonna get
out of these, what, six or seven left?
He gonna get one or two big ones and it gonna put
him right over the mark. I think he got six games left.
He needs a game where he goes over two.
Yeah.
That'll put him over 1,500.
So now I got five games, Ocho.
And now, you know, you get a 125 or 150, you sit pretty.
It's a wrap.
Because you know the thing is that you want to have it.
You want to be able to catch a smoke route and walk off the field like,
I got it.
Because they don't to throw it.
They don't want you to break that record against them.
So they're going to put it.
Jalen,
Jalen Waddle might break the record.
He might have the most receiving yards in the game.
Right.
Cause they're going to be,
they're going to blow the coverage to make sure that I don't get it. Get it.
Yeah.
Because remember when T.O.
Had to got the record.
Tom Fears had the record of 19 catches.
I think 18, 18 catches in the game. Right. Well, got the record Tom Fierce had the record of 19 catches I think 18
18 catches in the game
right
well it was
Jerry Rice's day
they like
we not gonna let
Jerry go crazy on us
and I be damn
T.O. don't go for
20 for 255
so
that's what
that's what happens
on Joe
they're like
oh no
you not been
you not been to go crazy
you not been to celebrate
on us
Jayla Waddle gets
get 10 catches for 300 yards.
Yeah, I hate them.
I hate them games like that.
Come hella high water, and they just say, not today.
You're not going to get it.
And you got to be patient.
You got to be patient.
You'll get maybe one or two.
You'll get maybe one or two balls and hope you can do something with it.
But you ain't getting nothing after that.
No.
John King asked, Shannon, if you and Sterling
switched teams, would you still be the same
player you both were?
Who do you think would have had the better career?
I mean, hold on.
So you mean to tell me he's going to come into the league
and he's going to have John away from the jump?
Do you realize who threw the ball
to my brother before Brent Favre got there?
I mean, no.
I mean, Anthony Dillwig, Mike Tomczak, he had Don Makowski.
Come on, now.
Oh, Don Makowski?
Boy, he was a real deal.
Bro, you going to give my brother John Elway.
So in 88, 89, 90, 91, he has John Elway.
Do you know what his numbers would look like?
I mean, yeah. I mean, I has John Elway. Do you know what his numbers would look like? I mean, yeah.
I mean, I'd have had Brett.
I mean, I'd have had Favre got to Green Bay in 92.
Yeah.
I mean, probably my career is similar,
but his numbers would have been astronomical.
So, yo, he'd have a much better career than what he had,
and he had a great career even though it was short.
Adrian Adderley asked what's more difficult? Hitting a free throw
in an NBA championship or kicking a
field goal for the Super Bowl? PS for
Ocho. The Saxons are the
best junkanoo
group in the Bahamas. Valley boys
don't do that. Nah he said Saxons
Valley boys. He said
Saxons. I mean he sounds like he's
from the Bahamas.
Yeah, it probably is somebody in the Bahamas talking about the Saxons.
Valley in your belly.
What's more difficult, Ocho?
Hitting a free throw in an NBA championship game
or kicking a field goal for the Super Bowl?
I think both are equally as stressful.
No, they're not.
Shit.
Because guess what?
Ain't nobody trying to block your free throw.
You ain't got no win conditions.
But listen, it's still you, you,
you having to hit that free throw,
you having to make that kick in front of 80,000 people.
You got your teammates, all 52 of them, relying on you to make a kick to win a game.
You are responsible for that.
Right.
Free throw.
Arena.
Cheering.
Loud.
Screaming.
Fans.
People heckling.
Making noise.
You got to lock in and hit a free throw.
Championship.
You got to make both of them to win a game.
Game seven series.
You make both of them, you win by one.
Shit.
Man, that's equally yoked, man.
It all depends on who's shooting the free throws.
You got Ben Wallace.
You got Chris Dudley.
I mean, you got Shaq.
Who's shooting the free throws to win the championship?
And then who's kicking the field goal for the Super Bowl?
Do I got a tuck from Baltimore?
Do I got Ben and Terry?
That's a great question for a Steph Curry and a Justin Tucker.
What do you think is much more difficult,
to make two shots
to win a series
in game seven
or to kick a game
in the Super Bowl?
How far does the field go?
How far does the field go?
Oh, that, that, that,
you got to take that
into consideration as well.
That's a good one.
That's a good one.
I mean, the guy that just
kicked a 59-yard
in a driving rainstorm.
Yeah, that was,
that was, that was clutch.
Give me the free throw, Ocho.
That was clutch.
That was clutch.
Or Vinny Thierry kicking the ball, kicking a 45-yard me the free throw, Ocho. That was clutch. That was clutch.
Or Vinatieri kicking the ball, kicking a 45-yard field goal in a driving snowstorm.
Yeah, that was a good one, too.
Come on, now.
You're right.
I mean, but I think the thing is, Ocho,
is that the question is,
pressure is what you feel when you don't know what the hell you're doing.
Because if you haven't been in those situations before, I mean, how many times has Steph Curry gone to the free throw line?
With a game on the line?
Justin Tucker was a rookie and kicked the game winning field goal in Denver.
To send the Ravens to the AFC championship game in New England.
Yeah.
So he's been in those moments.
Steph Curry has had to make a free throw possibly to get a team into overtime or to win a game.
Right.
Now you take someone that's never been in those situations.
Now. You take someone that's never been in those situations. Now,
the knee is knocking like you think somebody knocking on the door.
Yeah, it's different.
It's different.
But, like, you know, that's a great question.
Now that you're asking, the players that have been in those situations or clutch situations or moments like that where the Super Bowl is on the line
or a championship is on the line, do you think they're nervous?
Yeah. You think so? Oh, you understand the moment. You understand the moment or a championship is on the line, do you think they nervous? Yeah.
You think so?
Oh, you understand the moment.
You understand the moment.
Yeah, okay, okay, okay.
You understand the moment.
Yeah, you know, because, I mean, that's the Super Bowl.
And as much as you try to make the Super Bowl just another game,
everything's going to be the same, 15-minute quarters.
It's not.
It's not.
It's not.
It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not.
Jonathan Batista.
Ocho, have you ever heard you and ASAP Rocky look related?
Y'all could be cousins.
Man, that is my cousin, man.
I've said that millions of times.
Rocky has also said that on Instagram many a times.
I'm not sure why people are still confused that we resemble each other.
I'm just lying. No other. He's lying.
No, I'm not lying. You're a liar.
I think Ojo
computer went out for a second. I hope he didn't
lose his charge.
I think I'm still going
so I guess I keep asking some questions.
Ish Moves One said
Oh, did you see Ocho Vegas commercial?
And can we rate his rap skill?
Love y'all.
That's what y'all call those skills?
Y'all call that what he do in rapping?
Look, I haven't seen the whole commercial.
I saw a little snippet of it,
but he got in character.
So the one thing I know about
Ocho, he gonna fool y'all.
He gonna make y'all think he Tupac.
I mean, he gonna be up there like, oh, yeah,
bro, I hit that with nothing.
Look,
when it comes to entertaining, I don't put
nothing past Ocho, because he's the
ultimate entertainer.
He embodies, he captures, he embodies the, the, the moment.
And so would I be surprised that he hit it out the park? No,
I would be more surprised that if he did,
because knowing that he loved the entertainment, he loved that.
He's a showman. He loves being in front of people.
He loves being in front of the camera.
So, yeah, I got no doubt in my mind
that Ocho knocked it out of the park.
I saw a little snippet of it,
but I'm going to wait until the end.
I think it's going to be a Super Bowl commercial, right?
It's a Super Bowl commercial, right?
So I'm waiting to see that during the Super Bowl.
Hey, let's be real.
With no hate for the Cowboys,
if Romo had a defense,
the Cowboys had the last
two years he's winning a Super Bowl.
Be real, Uncle Nocho. Dad's caught it.
We all know it. No,
first of all, the mere fact that you
signed Jonathan,
excuse me, not Jonathan, Nathan
High Voltage 52.
The mere fact that you signed off said,
objective Cowboy fan,
lets me know you full of caca.
Dad didn't catch it.
In order for you to catch the football,
at the time, a catch was,
if a receiver goes to the ground,
he must maintain possession
throughout the entirety of the process. So coming in contact with the ground. He must maintain possession throughout the entirety
of the process.
So coming in contact
with the ground,
basically you need to stand up
and hand the ball to the official.
Brian make the rules, bro.
Calvin Johnson,
they set that precedent
a year earlier
or maybe, you know,
two years earlier
with the Calvin Johnson situation.
When he got,
when he caught the ball
and tried to get up
with the ball with one hand
and he said, nope, not a catch.
So, no, Daz didn't catch it.
And Romo was too mistake-prone
in order for you guys to win a Super Bowl.
You can't be mistake-prone and win the Super Bowl
because you're going to end up putting a defense
at a disadvantage.
So, I disagree that had Romo had a real defense, he had a defense.
Y'all had 10 Pro Bowl players one year.
Damn, how many Pro Bowl players?
There's only 22 spots.
Y'all had 10 of them.
No.
Tony Forbes says, oh, you're talking about both sides of your mouth, the back deck and the offense, they put up 41 points. Tony Favre says
oh you're talking
about both sides of your mouth
the back deck and the offense
they put up 41 points
bro
how many teams
scored 56
it's not the point
oh
Troy
it's not the point
how many games
have you lost
this year
because of the
red zone
in Akron
so what about Philly
would you have run
would you have run
the game in Philly
if they went three for three?
What did you go?
See, I mean, I can't win.
I give you credit.
I say this is a good team
because when your defense didn't have it,
you scored 41 and you're outscoring 41-35.
Okay, your defense, you know what?
You say you're a good defense.
Can you do what you need to do when you
have to?
Three stops on fourth down.
Well, damn, what you want me to do?
I'll be telling you what you want me to do.
Troy, what you want me to do?
I give him credit. You don't like the way I gave
him credit. The fact of the matter
is
you can critique, you can be pleased with
something, but not satisfied.
That's your problem.
And I told you that's what's going to get you in trouble
because you accept things in a win you never would in a loss.
Had they lost the game, would you have been okay with that?
You wouldn't have.
And then you're going to talk about penalties.
Again, look at you.
You okay with the penalties?
Nah, but the penalties don't matter.
We won the game.
Okay.
I'll check back with you
in a couple of weeks.
Dr. Frankie L. Bellamy says,
today is my birthday.
May I please get
a birthday shout out
or a few coins
to buy me some LaPortier?
Dr. Frankie.
Happy birthday.
Chad just called me
and said his computer caught on fire.
See, that's what you get for being cheap.
My computer will never catch on fire.
Get on your
cell phone.
Happy birthday, Dr. Frank L. Bellamy.
Appreciate the support, man.
Uncle J.
J. Uncle Ocho.
That'll be the first live event that
I can't broadcast from. Not Uncle Ocho. That'll be the first live event that not I can't broadcast from,
not including Ocho's wedding, as I believe that's already been asked.
Probably, we're probably going to have an event at the Super Bowl this year.
We're definitely trying to get that worked out.
Ocho and I will be at the same location, have a live audience.
I think that would be really, really cool, and I can't wait for that to happen.
