Starting point is 00:04:03 promos for deposit, wagering and eligibility restrictions, terms and responsible gaming resources. I'm going to celebrate. Huh? I got my 40. You going to hoot now. You keep it in the brown bag. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:19 Hold on, hold on. Let me get my sit down. Hold on, man. Hold on. Yeah. No, no. Ah! Hey, hold on. Yeah. No, no. Ah! Hey, don't say Buffalo.
Starting point is 00:04:29 Don't say Broncos. Two teams played today. OK. Up in upstate New York. OK, there you go. Near the Canadian border. Yes, sir. The team from the West didn't fare very well as a team
Starting point is 00:04:42 that I played for. They didn't fare what? They didn't fare very well. I team that I played with. Right, right. As a matter of fact, they didn't fare what? They didn't fare very well. I'm going to drink to that. See, that's what you get. That's what you get. See? See, that's what happened.
Starting point is 00:04:51 Hold on, hold on. That's what happened when you make fun of one of God's children. Hold on, let me get some, uh, hold on. God damn it. Don't worry about it. The party, the party don't keep going. Let me whack this up. I don't want to mess up the flow.
Starting point is 00:04:59 But anyway, that's what happened. That's what happened. That's what happened. That's what happened. That's what happened. That's what happened. That's what happened. That's worry about it, the party, the party gonna keep going. Let me whack this up. I don't want to mess up the flow. But anyway, the team that won, they scored 31 unanswered points. How many, how many, how many they scored? They scored 31 unanswered. The fact that you even thought they had a chance, that's the funny part.
Starting point is 00:05:20 You were so confident yesterday. I don't have the same energy. I'm trying to understand. Where's the energy you had yesterday? Matter of fact, I'm gonna drink to that one more time. Hey, Ocho, but the thing was, I had the energy because that was before the game. I already know the outcome of the game now. No, but you knew the outcome of the game yesterday. I did.
Starting point is 00:05:43 You knew the outcome. I told you what it was gonna be. I'm not sure why you didn't understand that. Even though the Broncos had a small percent, probably what left a milk chance, 2% Whoa, not even 2%. They had almond milk, almond, almond, almond chance. If the Bengals win the playoffs, hypothetically speaking, we would have given them a better game. We definitely would have been a better game. We might have won that game. No, here you go, here you go, there you go. You can't jump off the train like that. You can't jump off the train like that.
Starting point is 00:06:22 You are a wrongco 12 year career. Flock! We flocking! No no we not flocking. We talking about the Broncos today. Whoa whoa whoa whoa! They played they played yesterday. They played yesterday. I don't want to hear you say foot or ball. No I want to hear you say play uh-uh. I don't want you to say no words with a letter B. I don't want you to say Buffalo Bills. I want to hear, I want to hear you say Broncos. I don't want you to hear, I want to hear you say Beauty and the Beast. I don't want nothing.
Starting point is 00:06:52 Ravens. What? Huh? Dee Henry, L. Jack, Marla Humphrey. No. No. No. No.
Starting point is 00:06:57 No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No.
Starting point is 00:06:58 No. No. You were, you were talking, you were talking, you were talking crazy last night too. Oh, my Broncos this, my Broncos that. I told you, I told you. Hey, as a matter of fact, guess what, Ocho? What? We're gonna have a Raven join us tomorrow night.
Starting point is 00:07:15 Who? Don't worry about it. Which one? I reached out to my team that they got play, that's still in the playoffs. I mean, it would be nice if we could have a bingo join us they got extra do so have Joe to join call in listen they got nothing to do you know we got to do we gonna help you book your
Starting point is 00:07:36 Broncos some flights to meet us in Cancun and put your head in there can't cool it on three three what happened to your team today? We got railroad and we got B. Oh, okay. Okay. Okay. We got B. Hey, do you think, do you think, do you think the bangles that they made it, you think they would, they would have put up seven points?
Starting point is 00:07:54 I don't like to do hypotheticals. I would like to think, I would like to think if I was Elon Musk, I'll be the world's richest man if I was, but I'm not. Hey. I would like to think I would have make all the decisions that he made. Hey, one thing about it, boy, just make sure the night, the rest of the night, I don't want to hear you say anything that starts or ends with a beat. I don't want to hear you say football.
Starting point is 00:08:16 I don't want to hear you say play or all. You are not a Raven. I'm not sure why you can't get to the end. I am! Oh my God, okay. Listen, you have nothing to do with the Ravers at all. You played there for two years. Again, two years in a relationship is a honeymoon phase.
Starting point is 00:08:29 You don't even know each other yet. Matter of fact, y'all, you ain't even moving together yet. Matter of fact, two years, you ain't even met her parents yet. I did. Okay? I mean... Ocho, I was one of the offensive weapons that we had. Do you not remember? Hey, I was one of the, I was one of the offensive weapons that we had. Do you not remember? Hey, I understand.
Starting point is 00:08:49 I understand your greatness. I don't want to take anything away from you. You're three times the gold champion, three times the gold champion. I think seven, six time, time probably your hall of fame, eight time probably your hall of fame, number two, six, seven, but you were Denver Bronco. You made the, you made the pro bowl at the Denver Bronco, not as a Baltimore. I made the, no, no, you made the hall of fame at the Denver Bronco. No, no, it's not like baseball. Both teams are on the plaque.
Starting point is 00:09:17 Hey, tell them again. Flop. We flopped it. We are supposed to be talking about the Broncos. What happened to your team? Oh Joe. Yeah. Boy, it's amazing.
Starting point is 00:09:30 That thing shine. That thing shine. It's amazing. Hey, how do you think this makes, how do you think, how do you think this makes the Broncos fans feel? I look at it, first of all, everything that I've done with the Broncos, okay, with that team in Denver is there. It's Chronicle, it's the thing.
Starting point is 00:09:51 Everything I did for the two years that was with the Ravens, that's also there, Ocho. Yeah, two years, that ain't no time. Ocho, think about what I was able to accomplish in two years. But how about the Broncos? Nah, we didn't, hey, better team one, Ocho. I'll be out, I want you to come and check me. Okay, I did, I did able to accomplish in two years. But how about the Broncos? Nah, we did. Hey, better team one, don't you? I'll be out when you want me to.
Starting point is 00:10:07 Okay, I did. I did. I did. Hey, Buffalo. So, hey, I don't owe you no money no more, right? Oh yeah, you do. You owe me $5,200. But the Broncos.
Starting point is 00:10:17 As a matter of fact, as a matter of fact, I'm going to get chilies. Uh, uh, uh, uh. Oh, wait a minute. Tell me what you got. The Broncos lost. I thought we, I thought we doubled it up. We were going to double it. No, we ain't double nothing.
Starting point is 00:10:28 You sure? I'll do it. Houston Texans get it going in the second half and then pull away from the LA chargers 32 to 12 score. Gommie says that is the first time that a game has ended the score of 32 to 12. Yeah. CJ Stroud, 22 and 33, two 81, one touchdown, one of the exceptions. that is the first time that a game has ended. Right. With a score of 32 to 12. Yeah. CJ Stroud, 22 and 33, 281, one touchdown, one reception.
Starting point is 00:10:49 Joe Mixon ran the ball really well. 25 carries with buck 06, one touchdown. Total rush is Houston, 34 for buck 68 of a touchdown. Nico Collins was sensational today, seven catches for buck 22. Yeah. As they almost triple up the LA Chargers Justin Herbert did not have a great day he only threw three
Starting point is 00:11:10 interceptions all year he threw four today 14 to 32 which is less than 50% right 242 yards but one of them came on an 86 yard touchdown so one touchdown for the session he was sacked four times, a 13 QBR. They didn't, couldn't run the ball. 18 rushes, 50 yards, but Lad McConkey had himself a day. Oh no, he gave it to everybody. Nine catches, a book 97, one touchdown. But if you go back and look at it, he was really the only one that
Starting point is 00:11:39 caught a pass that did anything. The tight end, Dissley, he caught two for 16, Fizz called one for 15, Chart called one for 10, Davis called one for four. That was it. Now listen, listen, the first half was very boring. First half was very, very, very boring and very underwhelming. Like when I think about the Charters offense, I thought, you know, it would be a high-scoring game. I just thought it would, especially having Justin Herbert, Justin Herbert being in the playoffs.
Starting point is 00:12:09 I'm like, you know what, Quinton Johnson had a hell of a game last week. He had 198, 87, something like that. So I'm thinking, okay, Quinton Johnson coming in with the confidence after having a game like that, then Ladarius McConkey, I don't even call him Lad no more. Lad is short for Ladarius. You know, as far as I'm concerned, he's one of us. Hey, listen, he had a phenomenal game today. And CJ Shroud and the Texans, they scared me a little bit.
Starting point is 00:12:33 They scared me a little bit with the way they were playing in the first half. If it wasn't for the interceptions that Brother Herbert threw, this game might have been a little bit different. And I tweeted after he threw the first one. All right, now, you playing around, playing around you gonna pay double for that you have that was I mean both of them I mean CJ his interception that was terrible. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah Yeah, I'm like bro, it didn't engine Herbert came back. I mean Herbert intercession was terrible. They were all which one Well, but listen one was on all of them now let man. No, no, no, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:13:06 That was distally. That was the tight end that dropped it. No, that was flat. You talking about the one in the flat? No, that went through Lad McConkey's hands. Oh, the one over the middle? Listen, now, if your hands touch it, especially if somebody like Lad Lideris,
Starting point is 00:13:20 if the ball touch your hand, you gotta have that. You gotta have that. Because it went right through his hands. It was an ugly game, especially the first half. The Texas got it together in the second half. And if I'm not mistaken, didn't see Day-Sharow get sacked three times in the first half, if I'm not mistaken? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:36 I mean, they have to play better. They have to play. If they were playing a better team, a better offensive team, it wouldn't have been just me and you. I don't know if you can get off to the start start and they got off today. You play Kansas City, now if you play Kansas City, you play the Ravens, you're not going to be able to get off to the start. That team is going to put 14, 17 points on you, really put you behind the eight ball. But Eric Murray's picked six off of Justin Herbert late in the third quarter, gave the Texas a 26
Starting point is 00:14:02 lead and they didn't look back. Herbert a brutal day throwing the football for interceptions. He had nine completion to lad McConkey and five to one, two, three, four, five, six, seven other receivers. And so lad was getting open. He did a great job. He's done a great job. But then the interceptions that they ended up getting, Stingley Jr., it shows why he's an all-pro, because he had a phenomenal,
Starting point is 00:14:29 but he got tremendous ball skills, did a great job. I thought he was gonna take that one to the house. Speaking of ball skills, I wanna talk about technique. I wanna talk about his technique on the double move. Most of the time, on the double move that the receiver tried to run on him, most of the time, a DV plays so aggressive and bites on the double move that the receiver tried to run on him. Yeah. Most of the time a DV plays so aggressive and bites on the first move, on the first move where he's not even in position to recover.
Starting point is 00:14:51 Man, not only he bit on it a little bit, but then he was able to transition, get back, get his eyes on the ball and then pick it off. Yep. I don't think people with the casual fan understand, you know, the casual fan watching from home, they just see interception. I mean, just the development on how we got the interception and how we kept itself in position to even make the goddamn play. I'm like, but God, man. Yeah, he got, he got, he got great. He's getting better and better. They did a great job of pressuring. Uh, Will Anderson jr. had a sack and a half. Mario Edwards, Jr.
Starting point is 00:15:26 had a sack and a half. They really got at the Herbert. They've neutralized it a running game. So now we know now we can just go hunt. Yeah, we can turn to unleash the hounds and we can just go hunting because we have we know you have no threat of running the football. I'm not even concerned about the I'm not concerned about you running it. All I'm doing is pinning my ears back. Hey, linebackers, y'all have a run. Front fold, let's go hunt. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:53 Hey, it's Bobby Bones. Join me and former NFL quarterback, Matt Castle every Wednesday for our new podcast, Lots to Say with Bobby Bones and Matt Castle. Between us, we have over 17,500 passing yards, multiple New York Times bestsellers, and one Mirrorball trophy from Dancing with the Stars. So where else are you gonna find a show

Starting point is 00:16:30 like it's all colored. They changed it. And the heart's a little pink. It felt like I told you I loved you. I'm gonna be honest, it was a little pink. There was something sentimental when you sent it. You're like, do I send the heart now? I don't like the color edition.
Starting point is 00:16:43 It's extremely pink. Listen to Lots to say with Bobby Bones and Matt Castle on the iHeartRadio app, Apple podcast, or wherever you get your podcasts. What's up everybody, I'm Neal Berkman and I'm here to tell you about a new podcast, iHeart podcast in the National Hockey League. It's NHL Unscripted with Berk and Demers. Hey, I'm Jason Demers, former 700 game NHL defenseman, turned NHL network analyst, and boy, oh boy, does daddy have a lot to say.
Starting point is 00:18:29 I love you, by the way, on NHL Network. You wish you could pull off my short shorts, Fergie. That's sure to cause a ruckus. This is Justin Penick from John Boy Media, the host of the Football Today podcast alongside Bobby Skinner and Chris Rose. We're rolling three times a week on Mondays, on Wednesdays, on Fridays, breaking down everything you need to know about the
Starting point is 00:19:29 NFL. We're talking about the MVP race. Is Josh Allen gonna pull it out? Lamar Jackson? Can Saquon Barkley even break the rushing record? Can the Steelers keep up their momentum? We talk about everything. We break it down. Stats, analytics, and of course, Chris Rose is bringing his perspective on being a pro in the media world as well. Listen to football today on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts and you will be glad you did. Hope you could join us for the postseason run. The Rams defense put on a dominant performance against as the Rams routed the Vikings 27-9.
Starting point is 00:20:16 The Rams now will travel to Philadelphia on Sunday in the divisional round of the playoffs. The Rams tied an NFL postseason record with nine sacks. And they were coming tonight and they could swim, they, Neville Gallimore. Is that Neville Gallimore? That's Neville Gallimore to play with Dallas? Wow, he didn't do that with Dallas. He had one and a half sack.
Starting point is 00:20:38 B. Young had one and a half sack. Hawk had a half a sack. Witherspoon had a sack. Durant had a sack. D. Johnson had a sack, Fisk had a sack. Didn't Burr have one too? Oh, Jeff, I guess they took his sack. But they were all over tonight.
Starting point is 00:21:01 They were really all over. Sam Darnold, he didn't have an opportunity. And then he fumbled, gave up a scooper score and that was that was really it but this defense look yeah we know the Rams can pressure the quarterback but we didn't see this. Matter of fact not this. What we saw for the Rams tonight, I'm gonna be listen they got there in front for the two rookies on the outsides phenomenal but I'm talking on the inside yeah phenomenal playersenomenal. But I'm talking on the inside. Yeah. Phenomenal.
Starting point is 00:21:27 Now, when it came from a defender standpoint, I gave the edge to the goddamn the Vikings simply Brian Floria, because he's a pressure team. Yes, I'm 98 percent of the time they get to the quarterback, making uncomfortable as far as his decision making and rushing throws. So that's what I thought I'm going to see tonight. Oh, but I'm looking at the game like what in the world is going on? And just like you always say no matter how you play in the postseason
Starting point is 00:21:51 I mean you might know how to matter how you play in the regular season when you get to the postseason. It's one game It don't matter if you got 14 wins If you got eight wins, you got nine wins in just one game and what team is going to show up tonight and the rams Show them tonight that goddamn puking the cool boy Hey They got guy Puka Higbee made some big-time catcher Cooper Cup only had Cooper Cup had one target Who was a big-time catcher 29 yarder? Obviously Kyron Williams had a receiving touchdown. He ran really really hard Look the Rams struggling if you go back and look Obviously Kyron Williams had a receiving touchdown. He ran really, really hard.
Starting point is 00:22:27 Look, the Rams struggled. If you go back and look, I think they started the season. What about training everybody? And they went, yeah. Yeah, they were. And then all of a sudden they got hot and they did not. And they did not look back. Stafford started playing better, but it was that defense. The defense started generating pressure, taking the ball away, creating turnovers,
Starting point is 00:22:48 putting their offense on short field, and the guys started capitalizing. But, Ocho, if they play like this here, I don't know if 22 points don't get it done fulfilling. They're gonna have to play better than what they played against Green Bay. I said that yesterday. I had people in the chat or tweet me today who you say not going to be able to score or beat Philly not scoring. You need to be able to put up numbers. You need to be able to put up because when you come in there next week, you're going to have to get Devontae Smith involved. You're going to have to get AJ Brown involved because you have a high powered offense. Yes.
Starting point is 00:23:22 are involved because you have a high powered offense. Yes. Was with I'm talking about, I'm getting ready to say Sam Donald. What would Matt Stafford who can look cool? Who pick up? Kyle Williams, the tight ends. Everybody is involved in that. All things big. Yep.
Starting point is 00:23:36 The Eagles got the mass that energy. They think the message that energy and get contributions from everybody. that energy and get contributions from everybody. Um, oh Joe, they're going to have, they're going to have. To run the football to slow that pass rush down because see the night they really couldn't get Minnesota really couldn't generate a rush. So they threw caution to the wind and once you see blood in the water, the sharks, they're going to turn, it's going to turn into a frenzy. You see a lot of time that they freak, they got them a couple of times. They brought the double edge.
Starting point is 00:24:10 Justin Jefferson went in motion and they knew like when Jefferson goes in motion, he never looks hot. They don't run hot to that side. So what we're going to do, we're going to bring both of them off that side and neither one of them look back. We were always taught, oh Joe, if you come in motion, just take a glance back. If nobody runs with you, why you not moving? Why y'all didn't bump out?
Starting point is 00:24:35 Something up, Ocho, I don't like this. Cause normally when somebody come in motion, if a guy's already over the outside guy, he's gonna bump to the outside. Well if he don't come, mind till he coming. Ain't no way. Ain't no way he gonna stay there. And the funny thing about it is especially with something like that I would think and I would hope where obviously they don't you would have hot routs built in. You should have hot routs built in no matter what. And obviously they didn't you know DV coming right off the edge and no, Justin Jefferson, he just wanted down the field and it's not, it's not his fault.
Starting point is 00:25:07 And then one of the interceptions, one of the interceptions, I just want to talk, receive a talk real quick. Just, just risk real quick on Addison. I can't remember number 14 name from the Rams. They got, yes, out that bunch lick, I mean out that bunch look with the condensed split where Addison had the out route. I wish if, with understanding, if he can hold that inside shoulder just a little bit longer and take him two or more yards just to get the DB to open up.
Starting point is 00:25:34 Just if you can get him to open up, even if the throw is inside, it gives you a chance to adjust to it and make the catch where the DB still has a transition and flip just to make a play on the ball. But when you just roll out of it. And he not opened up yet, all you got to do is just come on right down to the ball if it's a bad throw. Yeah, hold on, Ocho. I know it is. Hold on.
Starting point is 00:26:15 OK, Colby Durant, that's the name. 14 for the Rams. Kobe Durant. Most sack yards lost, most sack yardage lost in a playoff game in NFL history. Sam Darnum has the record now 82 total yards on nine sack the record was in not in a January on December 31st in 1967. Oh, was that the ice bowl? That might have been the ice bowl. The Cowboy sack Bart star for a total of 76 yards. That's that's the cold. I think that's might be the coldest game. That was the ice bowl. I think that might be the coldest game. That was the ice bowl. 12 31, 1967. The Cowboys, they lost.
Starting point is 00:26:54 Most sack yardage lost in a playoff game in NFL history. Sam Donnell now holds that record with 82 yardage sack yards lost. Bart Starr had the record in the ice bowl with the Cowboys sacked him for 76 yards, but the difference is the Packers won. Oh, that was the last NFL championship then, huh? Or was that, I don't think they would call it the Super Bowl then. I think that was the NFL
Starting point is 00:27:20 championship. I'm almost certain. Damn. Because next year, it was next year, it was the Super Bowl started next year in 68. You know, I was hoping I was excited, man. I thought it would have been a much more competitive game. I really thought it was. Listen, when I was on Inside the NFL and we talked about who I thought was going to win on ultra predicto, I only picked the Vikings simply because of the defense and what Brian Flores was able to do throughout the entirety of the season. Matthew Stafford and the offense, they got the ball out so fast, even if you did blitz end and even matter because people don't
Starting point is 00:28:00 get there. The ball was coming out so fast. But you they run up. But if you look at the Rams offense, a lot of that, that's why they're able to beat the blitz a lot, because they got a lot of bubble screens. They got a lot of jailbreak screens. They run a lot of shallow crosses. They got they got a lot of built inside of just so it's hard to trap. Now, occasionally you can get them. But a lot of that is built in.
Starting point is 00:28:23 Cooper Cup is right there. Puka does a great job of getting a head around. And you know, Sean McVay is really, really creative. He does a great job of understanding like, okay, in this down and distance, a lot of the time they like to bring a blitz. So if they're bringing a blitz, that means they're man on the other side.
Starting point is 00:28:39 So what we need to do is get the ball into our guys' hands. Cooper Kupp, Puka Nakua. And now we get two blockers or we get a blocker out there in front. He break the tackle. Now that's a big game. And they've done a great job of that for the since Sean McBabe has been there. And the thing that was Matt Stafford,
Starting point is 00:28:59 the way his ability to change arm angles, Ocho, he can go overhand and he can slide, he can side arm it. He got, but I don't know. I don't know. That was, that was, that was going to be a fumble. Listen, I think it was going to be a fumble. I thought it was going to be Ocho. The thing that saved Matt Stafford on that play, where if some people were still questioning is the fact that Pukulukul was right there. He was, he was literally right there.
Starting point is 00:29:23 Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. And that definitely, I think you're absolutely right. I think that did save it. Because had it not, maybe they would have called intentional grounder, but because the guys scooped and scored, that would have been a touchdown. And I think that changed the completion of the game
Starting point is 00:29:40 because now all of a sudden, Ocho, whoa, that would have tied the game up, if I'm not mistaken. That would have tied the ball game up. And so yeah, the turnovers are huge in this situation. And what do you have? Sal Madonnell had one pick, one touchdown, nine sacks for 82 yards, Matthew Stafford got got two
Starting point is 00:30:00 for seven yards, 19 to 27, two touchdowns. And Matthew Stafford had a couple of drops. Tight end dropped one, but Addison dropped two big ones though. And it's hard to hold onto that ball. When you that hop in the air, you hit the grounder, unless you got a real firm hold on it, that body jars and that ball is gonna pop out.
Starting point is 00:30:21 So, but look, Minnesota had a great season, but tonight the Rams were the better team. They outplayed them from top to bottom. And hold on, and the Rams made a bonehead play on special teams. They ran into the punter, gave, who did they give? Bikes another opportunity, but that defense tonight. How do you?
Starting point is 00:30:45 That's a good performance. How do you see? That you're gonna see, Oja. It playing out against the Eagles and Rams. How do you see it? Eagles gonna have to run the football to slow that pass rush down. Right.
Starting point is 00:30:57 That's the only thing that can stop the pass rush. Because it got to a point where they couldn't run the football. And so there was no, there was no disguise. There was no foul of them running the football. And even when they did run it said, you know what? We'll give y'all a little three or four yards. We don't believe y'all can hurt us with the run,
Starting point is 00:31:12 but we believe those receivers, Hockinson, Jefferson, Addison, Naylor, we believe that's where you could hurt us at. So what we're gonna do, we're gonna cut the head off the snake and then we're gonna let the body just, and me, you know, just middle around. And they can't, I mean, I've got,
Starting point is 00:31:28 I'm trying to think, Ocho, you probably gotta go back. Tennessee did a number on you guys, but Burl was able to pull it out. Remember when y'all guys went on the road to Tennessee, they sacked him nine times. But as far as like a dominating performance, you gotta go back to that. Maybe what the Broncos did to Cam in the Super Bowl.
Starting point is 00:31:46 This is what that looked like, Ocho. The way, I mean, cause Cam really didn't have no time with me. Bomb was on him, D-Ware was on him, Woof, I forget the other, Malik Jackson. Yeah. That was just four man pressure. And a lot of this was now, a lot of this was just foreman pressure
Starting point is 00:32:05 Yeah, they brought a couple of Cat blitzes brought the edge brought the the slot blitz a couple of times to catch him off guard and they caught him But really that was first that was young and that was turning and they got home Never Gallimore had a game had a game Maybe play himself into a big big time contract with these guys, that defense was coming. And I was like, damn, when did they slip Aaron Donald back out there?
Starting point is 00:32:29 I'm like, that defense was like they had Aaron Donald and they had Bond and they had Leonard Floyd. When they went to the Super Bowl, they were able to own that run to the Super Bowl late in the season and in the playoffs. That's what that defense looked like tonight. They got out, they got out to Minnesota. They knew the passing game was what Minnesota
Starting point is 00:32:49 could rely on to beat them. And they took that away. And this thing was, it was over. I mean, Ocho, when this thing got, what it was 20, it was 24 to three at the half. It was over there. It was over there at that point. Ocho, the Eagles defeated the Packers 22 to 10. Saquon Barkley rushed for 119 yards.
Starting point is 00:33:09 The Eagles defense picked up Jordan Love three times. I don't get why Saquon's slaying. He's trying, he's being a team guy. How they gonna come back and score 1920 points in a minute? There haven't been very many 200 yard rush days in NFL postseason history. Somebody in his ear. Somebody on the side. Y'all just shut the hell up. You ain't got to tell me because I said the same thing. I said, why are you sliding in a moment like that? Look here, Hojo. In certain circumstances, I get it. One score, let's just say you up by one point.
Starting point is 00:33:44 You scored it a chance. They give a two point conversion and tied you. I get it. A one score, let's just say you up by one point. You scored it a chance, they get a two point conversion and tied you. I get that. Not in this situation. That's why I said somebody was in his ear, somebody on the sideline probably told him before, if we get the opportunity, if you get a chance,
Starting point is 00:33:56 if you break one open, let's go down. Brady said he wouldn't have been so generous. Help, dog. Ocho, I'm up by 12 points with a minute to go go and I'm about to hit and I get, let's just say, oh Joe, I got 125 yards. That right there. Go give me 75 yards. That's going to give me a touchdown.
Starting point is 00:34:14 200 yards. Boy, I'm going to the house. I ain't going to hold y'all. I'm going to the house. I don't, I don't know what he was doing. I, in a sense, it makes me think not only his decision, well, yes, his decision, because he could have said he wanted to play or not. The decision not to go after that record last week, which would have cemented
Starting point is 00:34:33 his legacy and the history books. And then you come this week, you know, you have a clear touchdown, a clear touchdown, you're already up by two scores. Why not just go score? I mean, somebody in this year got them, listen, they're already up by two scores. Why not just go score? I mean, somebody in this year got them at, listen, they, they, they got my dog brainwashed over there. They got him overthinking.
Starting point is 00:34:51 He's thinking too much. Maybe they got my dog brainwashed and got him overthinking. I'm going to analyze and every little thing, just play football. Just, just have fun, enjoy it. Yeah. Because if you're not going to get these opportunities very often, and it goes really fast, it goes really fast. So I mean, it is what it is.
Starting point is 00:35:06 I hope everything continues to work out for Saquon and that Eagles team. They didn't, they look good today, but they're not to me. They're not scoring enough points, man. They're not scoring enough points. They're not, they're not thought they're not efficient throwing the ball as well. They're not using AJ Brown. Yeah. I thought it was just me.
Starting point is 00:35:21 That's going to catch up. That's going to catch up to them. Okay. Run for the green bit Packers having the injuries that they had, or Jordan Love not being able to get that motor running. They lucky. Maybe it's just me. Maybe I'm just too critical. But Jaylon Hurst did not look good at least the first three and a half quarters, Ocho.
Starting point is 00:35:39 Maybe it's just me though. Did you notice anything? He looked timid. They were running. I'm like, bro, Jaylon, what are you doing? Run, go do something. Listen, I didn't really, I didn't really notice anything. I think when I think about Jalen Hurst, I think he does everything within the realm of what he does good. He doesn't try to do anything extra. So I just saw Jalen do what he normally does. If it's there, he throws. If it's not there, he's checking it down. But I was very surprised at how poorly he was playing early on in this ball game. He'll
Starting point is 00:36:12 go seven, eight games and he won't turn it over. But then he'll go three or four games where he have two, three every game. And this is the game that you can't do that? No, not in the playoffs. Three turnovers, you get beat. They were lucky and I don't mean to be rude I don't mean to be disrespectful but you're lucky you're not playing it off in the juggernaut today. You're not playing it off in the juggernaut you know because this is scoring 22 points it's not gonna beat the you know your Detroit's you know isn't it? It ain't gonna beat Minnesota either. It ain't gonna beat Minnesota either. I mean as good as your
Starting point is 00:36:41 defense is. Now I'm not gonna take anything away from that because the defense played well today as well but you got to put up points. Now who do the Eagles have to face now? They're going to face the winner of Minnesota, the Rams. Now we talk about two teams that could put up 30 in a blink of an eye. But see the thing is the Eagles are counting on say, yeah, but we're not going to be in the dome. So we're hoping that we get, you know, we get cold weather, we get wind conditions, blah, blah, blah. Cause they're a dome team. Even if you're playing in Philly, you know, we get cold weather, we get wind conditions, blah, blah, blah.
Starting point is 00:37:08 Even if you're playing in Philly, Philly ain't that cold. But the weather, it might be snow. It might be wind. Normally don't teams don't like to come out of those don't build their team to play on that fast as the lion, the lion play well in the cold. Now the viking play well in the cold.. The Vikings play well in the cold now. Even though they're dome teams, if you look at the time that they had to be on the outside, they've been okay.
Starting point is 00:37:32 I'm just saying this. I don't know moving forward if this type of offensive performance will win Philly a game. It was enough today. But I don't know moving forward if it'll be enough. No, I mean, they won't be. The coaches know that. No, I mean they won't be the coaches know that they're all the staff Oh that hell even the players know that based on who your opponent's gonna be it is gonna be the Lions is gonna be the Vikings
Starting point is 00:37:53 Whichever one is you understand that you can't score 22 points and beat the Vikings or the Lions AJ Brown was caught on camera reading a book on the sideline. It's called Inner Excellence. I think the thing is, it's a situation where, you know, I've got the channel and not let my emotions consume me because I know I'm good enough to get 10, 11 targets, but here I am with one, and I'm halfway through this game. And so let me calm down. Let me focus on the bigger picture, which is to win this game. I can't say all I care about is winning and they complain about targets and catches when we win and I didn't get said targets or catches. So I think it's trying to calm him down.
Starting point is 00:38:40 It gets him. And like you said, it gets him in a space that he's able to function Let's and not let it the motion lot let his emotions run Wow and become frustrated become a distraction and that because I think the last thing that AJ Brown wants to do is to become A distraction on a team that has that has the goods and they're good enough to get towards get to and potentially win the Super Bowl So hey, like you said, whatever work flows your boat. I had to, I couldn't, I don't think I was focused on with that game. I had tunnel vision. I didn't want to talk about no newspaper. I didn't want to talk about no book.
Starting point is 00:39:10 Hell, I don't remember the last time I read a book. And I wasn't about to read what on the sideline. Because the guy was trying. You see what you do on that old show? They don't tuck the physicality of the game so much, they got guys reading books on the sideline. They don't got guys reading books on the sideline. They got guys reading books on the sideline. Hey, when you had Ray Lewis, Erlich and Dawkins and all those guys
Starting point is 00:39:31 trying to steal your damn cap, you weren't thinking about no book. Oh, at all. At all. Hey, it's Bobby Bones. There was something sentimental when you sent it. You're just like, do I send the heart now? I don't like the color edition.

The Cowboys part ways with Mike McCarthy.
Starting point is 00:43:58 That's bullshit. Oh Joe, who the? You know that. Uh, Dez Bryant sounds off against the Cowboys coaching drama. This is what dead tweeted. Dan Quinn turned it once struggling franchise into a playoff contender and won his first playoff game until Dallas focused on winning instead of politics. Cowboys fans should not expect success soon.
Starting point is 00:44:19 I'm telling you this great poorly, just as I always do. Oh Joe, who's going to be the cowboy? I'm not sure. I'm not sure, but I just don't like the way Jerry operates. I don't like the way he operates. There was an opportunity for Mike McCarthy to be able to interview for the Chicago bear job, you know, Jerry blocked that. He said, no, I'm thinking, well, if you're telling me no, Mike McCarthy
Starting point is 00:44:42 should be upset if you're telling me, no, I can't go interview for the job. I'm thinking you're going to retain me and discuss a long-term contract at some point. What was the point of even doing that? Just to show that you're in control, just to show your power. Just that's what it was. You knew he would. Oh Joe, he knew he wasn't bringing Mike McCarthy back, but no, I'm not
Starting point is 00:45:02 going to let you interview with, I'm not going gonna let you interview with the Bears on your timeline, it's gonna be on my timeline. What's the point? What's the point? We know you're in control. Control. We know you're the owner. We know that. The season eight isn't even in,
Starting point is 00:45:17 and you're still making headlines based on your decision making. That's making absolutely no sense. Let the man go. You know you didn't want him to to begin with because if you wanted them, you would have paid him before the season even started or paid him in season instead of, instead of allowing him to finish out his contract. Like what would it be doing?
Starting point is 00:45:37 But here's the thing. Remember when they lost, they lost a couple of times in the first round. They thought they kept Dan Quinn. Dan Quinn really stayed because he thought he was gonna get the job. Then after the fight, Jerry kept bulljiving. He said, man, let me go on out here and get me a job. You bulljiving.
Starting point is 00:45:52 And guess what? Bobby Wagner was available. He had no blindbacker like Bobby Wagner. B. Wags, look at that. Know that defense, know Dan Quinn's defense. Now, Kendricks played well, but B. Wags is a different animal. But see, Jerry is going to be Jerry.
Starting point is 00:46:11 He going to hire a coach and then he going to tell you who to hire. Well, this is going to be your defense coordinator. This is going to be your offensive coordinator. I have a question. Now, I've seen reports, I tweeted out earlier today, you know, I'm just thinking, just, I just threw it out there. Like, you know, I, I ain't talked to Pram, you know, I'm just thinking, just, I just threw it out there. Like, you know, I, I ain't talked to prime, you know, I'm just thinking, well, let me see, Mike McCarthy's gone.
Starting point is 00:46:30 And I think about prime, you know, obviously, you know, I'm not, not trying to disturb no trouble. And then as soon as I tweeted it three hours later, they go to reports, Jerry Jones, research, Deon Sanders about the opportunity, Deon saying he was, he was intrigued, you know, but he loves what he has in Boulder as far as his team and his roster. And I just, I just, I just listen when an opportunity like that comes along, when an opportunity like that comes along, do you let it pass you by? Do you let it pass you by? I know Deion said, I would love to coach my sons. I doubt probably, I'm not sure where Dallas is picking, but Sh's saying, it's not going to be there.
Starting point is 00:47:05 He's not going to be there unless they do something extravagant and climb the ladder, climb the ladder and go get, go get a quarterback. I doubt it. You know, they have that. Yeah, you just speaking hypotheticals, but I'm just saying for the opportunity to actually coach at the highest level where you dominated, where you made your hall of fame career. I mean, do you really pass them up like that? What do you, what do you think?
Starting point is 00:47:34 Oh, you do. Mm hmm. Well, look, no, Ocho. Look, we know Jerry. Jerry is authoritarian. Uh, it's Jerry way or no way? He feel I heard Troy tonight said he don't believe the cowboy job is is coveted. It's our profile, but it's not coveted.
Starting point is 00:47:56 He says because coaches can't become who they are and what things we can't become because Jerry he says Dan Campbell is not going to be Dan Campbell in Dallas. Like he is in Detroit And Reed would not be Andy Reed and Did Dallas like he is in Kansas City? That should tell that should tell think about it Jerry you continue to do things your way because you want the credit Sometimes you don't realize how great things can be if you don't care who gets the credit credit. Sometimes you don't realize how great things can be if you don't care who gets the credit. Jerry cares and therein lies his problem. He's always
Starting point is 00:48:29 cared. That's why he fired Jimmy. He won't ever admit it. It drove him crazy that everybody missed him Jimmy and he got no shine. So he fired a man. Let us think, Chad let that sink in for a second, cause I don't think you guys realize what I'm about to say here. He fired Jimmy after back to back Super Bowls and his oldest superstar was Michael Irvin at 28 years of age. His oldest superstar was 28 years of age.
Starting point is 00:49:04 And he fired it. Now, first ballot Hall of Famer in Troy Aikman, first ballot Hall of Fame, all time leading rusher in Emmett Smith. Michael Webb got in on the second ballot and they had that team together. They won another one, they missed that year, they went and got prime and they want another one.
Starting point is 00:49:26 But had they had Jimmy, that's when Jerry started. They were, they won in spite of Jerry. That was the best. How good that 95 team was. They won in spite of Jerry, but had they kept Jimmy what you see the Patriots did. You think they could have ran it like that? Think about what they had. Emmett Smith, Emmett came in with me.
Starting point is 00:49:52 So Emmett left early. So 93 Emmett should have been 24. Troy was 26. Mike was 20. Troy was 27. Mike was 28. Listen, 27. Mike was 28. Listen, remember what member was he said in color purple? Huh? Somebody. Somebody needs to do that to Jerry until you write by me everything you.
Starting point is 00:50:21 Yeah, everything. Yeah. That's what's happening. Nothing is going good for the Cowboys since that fire. Now you made it to the playoffs, you made it, but you always going home in the first round. Ocho, Ocho. Deshaun Watson underwent a second surgery for a right Achilles rupture.
Starting point is 00:50:40 According to a team statement, earlier this week, Watson reported to the Cross Country Mortgage Campus for an exit physical as a part of the Brown Season ending process. He complained of discomfort after rolling the ankle in Miami. And our results demonstrated a re-rupture of the Achilles. They're normally in a boot for at least three months.
Starting point is 00:51:01 What makes this injury so difficult to repair, to recover from, is that when they put you in a boot for at least three months. What makes this injury so difficult to repair, to recover from, is that when they put you in a boot, the muscles start to atrophy. You know what happened? Now you got weakness. So now you have to build that calf muscle. Now you have to build all those muscles up.
Starting point is 00:51:20 Cause you can't do anything. It's not like an ACL, Ocho. They get your butt in there. The day after surgery, they got you bending that leg. They got you raising it, squeezing that quad muscle, trying to get it firing. They're putting stem on it to get that muscle firing, to keep that muscle from atrophy.
Starting point is 00:51:36 Right. Well, when you're in a boot, there ain't really anything that you can do. 62 days after surgery, Deshaun didn't have the boot on. Ocho, remember we had a conversation. I'm like, why is he reworking his contract when he got guaranteed money? Now we know why. Remember I said, Ocho, he got guaranteed.
Starting point is 00:51:54 Why would I rework my contract? Y'all can't do nothing. He's going to miss all of 25. He missed a large part of 23. He missed damn near all of 24. He's going to miss part of 23. He missed damn near all of 24. He's gonna miss all of 25. I don't wish injury on nobody. You already know how I feel about injuries in general.
Starting point is 00:52:10 It's unfortunate. I've been one who stood high, you know, and hoping that we get to the Sean Watson of old. This is a setback for him. It's also a setback for the Browns. I'm curious to see what the Browns are gonna do at that position, knowing where they're picking the draft. If they're able to find someone to play the quarterback
Starting point is 00:52:36 position, where you bring a veteran in, would it be maybe Kirk Hutton? Can Joe Flacco maybe come back? I'm not sure what they're gonna do, but man, this is not good for them. It's not good for Deshaun. And that's upsetting. Look, when this thing happened on Joe, I thought what was going on with Deshaun was more mental than physical. Right.
Starting point is 00:53:00 It was what transpired and then everybody kind of knew or thought they knew. And what was true was that's not our job. Right. We're not here to try to read, try anything or say somebody innocent or guilty. But what we can say is that when people realize and say, damn, all of this, all of this, and let's just say for the sake of our all of its truth all of its real Mm-hmm. It's the fact that everybody knows It's the same thing that happened with tiger. I mean think about it. Oh Joe now this different situation
Starting point is 00:53:34 allegedly nothing tiger didn't People said to Sean may did things against the will but what I'm saying is that with tiger People like target you still playing golf. Starting point is 00:55:39 Freak man, freak man, yeah, that's me. I want y'all to know that. Yeah. People knew. Now they look good, cause guess what, O want y'all to know that. Yeah. People knew. Now they look good. Because guess what, Ocho? You walk to the course, everybody looking at you. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:55:52 I bet Tiger shoot the covers last night. Yeah. And everybody on that goddamn course, just like him. Everybody don't know about it. See? Mm-hmm. He's never going to be the same quarterback again, Ocho.
