Hello, ladies and gentlemen.
Thank you for joining us for another episode of Nightcap.
I am your host, Shannon Sharp, your favorite uncle.
And he is, ooh, I got a name for you today.
What's the name?
Route Runner extraordinaire, Bengals legend, a ring of honoree, pro bowler, hello, All Pro,
Mr. Chad, Ocho, Cinco, Rosado.
Come on, man.
You Mr. Rail.
You Mr. Rail.
I'm sorry.
Come on.
Hey, listen, I just told, listen,
stuff like that is going to make a head big.
It's kind of embarrassing for me because I've been going places
and instead of people addressing me as,
what's up, Ocho?
They're like, hey, ain't you the dude that's dating Real?
I'm like, come on, bro.
Yeah, for sure.
All I've done, all I've done in life, that's how you see me as?
Is that what you see me as now?
Mr. Real.
Yeah, I think it's inappropriate.
I think it's, especially in public places, I think it's kind of disrespectful for all I've done in life
to be addressed as,
oh, you buddied as Dayton.
Man, what you talking about, bro?
Okay, how about this here?
Hello, ladies and gentlemen.
Welcome to another episode of Nightcap.
I am your host, Shannon Sharp.
Right.
I'm joined by,
you know him,
route runner extraordinaire,
Bengals Ring of Fame honoree,
an all-pro,
a Pro Bowl player, the
lesser half of Mr. Sherell Rosado.
Chad Ochozico Johnson!
The lesser half?
I like that, I like that.
Thank you so much, guys. We're at 1,153,000

guys for selling out Shay by La Portia.
We have, we're only taking pre-orders.
We got a shipment in.
We're going to be able to fulfill all
the pre-orders, and if you order, we're going to get you caught up to speed.
There was some confusion. A gentleman tweeted me yesterday and said he ordered it and did not get the box.
The box was only for the inaugural release.
What we did is that we wanted to do something special for the first 20 for the first people, the first 25,000 that ordered.
The boxes are not gone. We thought about
bringing the boxes back, Ocho,
but every retailer and distributor
said the boxes take up
too much space. Too much space, yeah.
So in the process... That could be
a hassle. Yes, so what we had to...
Okay.
It's taking up too much space. They're not going to
be able to get the amount of inventory that they want
because they don't have the shelf space or the warehouse space to house it.
So we made a decision that we're going to now, come Christmas time,
we're going to do something special with gifts.
So it's going to be from here and there, but they no longer come with the boxes.
Now, if you look at it, and I know some of you guys saw that in some places,
some of the teams, some of them kept the boxes. Now, if you look at it, and I know some of you guys saw that in some places, some of the team, some of them kept the boxes as a part of it. Now, when you order it now,
we don't have the boxes. When you order from the site, we don't have the boxes.
But that was for a limited release. That was for the inaugural release. I do not believe now,
if there's any misunderstanding, maybe the gentleman thought that he was getting the inaugural release. I do not believe now if there's any misunderstanding, maybe the
gentleman thought that he was getting the box and that's why he ordered it. So I apologize for any
confusion. But to my knowledge and to my understanding, the boxes were not promised
in this last two releases. So the box was for a limited time only during the inaugural release. So if there was any confusion, me and the team sincerely apologize for that.
But thank you for supporting Chez Balaportier.
But the product is still the same.
It's still smooth.
It still tastes great.
So we don't feel that you were shortchanged in any way.
We apologize if you feel that you've gotten shortchanged,
but the product is still outstanding.
So thank you, guys.
We did get a shipment in.
We're going to be able to fulfill all orders.
And if you order some now,
we'll be able to turn it around a lot quicker
than what we normally would be able to.
So thank you, guys, for supporting Shave by La Portilla.
We have pinned the link at the top of the chat,
so thank you, guys, for supporting us again. Ocho, let's get right into it. Time for our firsta by Laporte. We have pinned the link at the top of the chat, so thank you guys for supporting
us again. Ocho, let's get right into
it. Time for our first topic of the day,
and it is a news cap.
Justin Fields
was traded to the Steelers
for a sixth-round draft pick. The Steelers
had just recently acquired
Russell Wilson. In January,
ESPN's Jeremy Fowler wrote that
consensus in an
informal poll of the league evaluators
is that Fields
was worth somewhere
between a second or a
third-round pick in a pre-draft trade.
At the NFL Combine in
Indy, the athletic poll,
eight league coaches and executive who said fields will likely go for a
second or a third round pick.
Ocho,
did the bears botch this?
Um,
I really think they do,
but for them to let him go with not much value and consideration for the talent that he is, I see it as somewhat disrespectful in a sense.
And that is how they thought of him.
That is what they valued him if that's what they got for compensation as far as concern when it comes to Justin Fields.
To turn things around a little bit more, I was kind of confused by the move as well.
I was kind of confused by the move as well. But when I put things together and putting in better
context, seeing that Russell Wilson is on a one-year deal, I'm assuming this would be a year
for Russell Wilson to put a good resume together, to put together some good film, to get back to
being a starter somewhere else in nfl following the
following year and i'm assuming justin fields is going to be quarterback one for the future
for the steelers now correct me if i'm wrong am i am i am i right with this i like i like the way
that sounds i believe so too uh he gets an opportunity to study up under the uh a guy
that's a very very very professional um goes about his work he understands the process of what it takes to become a great quarterback in
this league. Russell Wilson earned his way. He was a third round draft pick.
They signed Flynn from green Bay,
gave him a lot of money and Russ beat him out for the job. Um,
but it seems to me that Russ, that, uh,
Justin Fields has been informed that he's not going to even be allowed to
compete for the job.
I don't know how you tell somebody they can't compete for the job because I'm going out every day trying to get better.
So whether or not you give me the job, that ain't got nothing to do with me.
I'm going to compete.
I think I think it's a good thing that he did come out and say that right away.
So there is no confusion that Russell Wilson knows he doesn't have to look over his shoulder.
Small, small situation in comparison.
Jimmy G, when Tom Brady was was a quarterback there's a certain
level of uncomfortability with having someone that is maybe not you maybe not as good as you
but the fact that when he is in there he does play well i think it's very unsettling for for
quarterback number one so i think the steelers want to put in russell's mind put you at ease
letting you know you are a number one. Let's focus on
the offense and what you need to do for us to get
where we're trying to get to. And that's
backing contention, for one, to the
playoffs and
doing what we're used to doing is
trying to win a goddamn Super Bowl.
And I think Russell Wilson is the guy to do
that, even though I'm a banger. I'm just
going to be realistic and honest about what
they have offensively in Russell Wilson. wilson oh i remember this thing came up during the season i said oh
joe trade him at the trade deadline i said they're not going to pass on two number one quarterbacks
overall they're not going to do it justin fields is not going to be there so the lady you let this
thing play out oh joe i know you got to get rid of it yeah why would i give you asking price why
would i give you a third round a second or third round pick when i know you got to get rid of it yeah why would i give you asking price why would i give you a third round a second or third round pick when i know you got to get rid of it i know you can't have him looking
over this rookie quarterback that you took over that you took with the first overall pick and he
was the starter for the past two and a half three years i know that so why would i give you what you
asked for now chicago said well he wanted to go to pittsburgh you mean so if you want to appease
justin fields don't draft caleb williams so that told me that, so if you want to appease Justin Fields, don't draft Caleb Williams.
So that told me that you really didn't want to appease him.
Now, you mean to tell me when was the last time
somebody turned down a second or third round pick
for a sixth round pick next year?
No.
That's damage control.
Y'all lost out on this.
And y'all let these quarterback carousels get filled.
You let Baker Mayfield go back to the Bucs.
You let Cousins go to the Falcons.
Now, where was he going to go?
You up against it.
You look foolish just releasing him.
But that's basically what you did. You gave him a
six-round draft pick.
If he plays, it can go
to a fourth. But considering that he's
not going to play, so guess what?
It's going to be a six-round draft pick.
Chicago botched this from the beginning because I would have traded him last
year.
I would have traded him at the trading deadline,
knowing that I'm not passing up this quarter,
Caleb Williams too.
So you need to tell me you're going to pass on CJ,
Bryce Young,
CJ Stroud and Caleb Williams in back to back seasons.
Nah,
come on,
man. Trade him at the trade deadline.-to-back seasons. Nah. Come on, man.
Trade him at the trade deadline.
You weren't going anywhere.
Guess what?
You got the first pick, and now you might have had the second or the third pick.
So now you really could have got your quarterback.
You could have got your receiver.
Now you get Keenan Allen, so maybe you're good.
Who knows?
I don't believe Marvin Harrison Jr. is going to fall to nine.
I don't believe he will.
Maybe you can
get an offensive tackle. Maybe you can get
the all kid out of Notre Dame
at nine.
Maybe you get a pass rusher.
Maybe you get something, but I'm just saying, Ocho.
I would have traded Justin Fields
last year at the trade deadline
before or I definitely would have traded Justin Fields last year at the trade deadline before,
or I definitely would have traded him before.
I would have traded him during the trade deadline,
but I'm definitely trading him before free agency.
Because once that happens, Ocho.
Yeah.
But that's showing your hand too, huh?
That's showing your hand.
That's what the Bears didn't want to do.
The Bears didn't want to show their hand.
I think they overanalyzed
and they overthought and put themselves
in a pickle.
Overanalyzing, overthinking shit
instead of trying to
fool the masses.
When Red slid in your DMs,
you better, it wasn't no more, I ain't gonna show
my hand. You put her ass on IG.
You let everybody know I got this one.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
You know you getting
Kayla Williams
Who the hell you fooling
Yeah I mean
We all knew that
But I'm not sure why
I'm not sure why
Management
Or the organization
Why you playing games
Thank you
Who you trying to fool
This is a generational talent
That's coming into the league
It's okay
Yes
It's okay
There's a certain notion
That you have to be secretive that you have to wait to the last
minute and make it like it's a surprise
this one couldn't be no goddamn surprise
you know you're drafting them
just go ahead and do what you need to do and set your team up
set your organization up for the future
let me
tell me stay with me right here
see if you can agree with me
what they were trying to do
they didn't want to tip their hand
oh we might keep justin fields so somebody needs to come in and give us a first or third
because there's the potential of us keeping him and if they want to really if they really want him
that means they're gonna have to prime away from us right see they were trying like we don't know
what direction we gonna go in We're not saying anything.
Trying to drive Justin Fields' value up.
Value up.
Right, right, right.
But here's the thing.
If you got a car,
Ocho, you know this about automobiles.
You don't buy them like you used to,
but you know every three to four years they come out with a new model,
a new body style.
Now you get left with, okay,
now you wait until the body style
is actually out
and see if you're going to get what you would have got
had you got rid of it two years ago or a year before the new body style came out.
And that's what happened.
They let a new body style.
They let a new quarterback potentially hit the market, which is Caleb Williams.
I know you got to get rid of that old body style.
What you looking like having two of the same cars, Ocho, in your driveway?
I have another question.
I have a question for you.
Obviously, I don't know the record, but at the trade deadline.
Yes.
At the trade deadline, how are the Bears doing as a team?
I know they didn't have a great season.
Yeah, they only won about six or seven games, Ocho.
Yeah, obviously, because they're picking first, right?
Yes.
That's Carolina's pick.
That's Carolina's pick. That's Carolina's pick.
So you already know you got that in the bag, Ocho.
You already know you got that in the bag.
Yeah, I think, I'm assuming maybe they didn't want to trade him at the trade deadline
because the team might have been, there might have been some type of momentum,
some going on offensively.
I had just something about even the fans were chirping about keeping him.
And I think the Bears just didn't want to make that move in season while things were going going the way they were even
though they were i'm not saying they were playing well but they were there was they played well in
spurts they had great moments the bears did have offensively so i think that might might have been
one of the reasons why they didn't let him go at the trade deadline and this notion where he wanted
to go to pittsburgh really so you want to go to a place where you know you're not going to play.
At least, what about if they trade you to a place
that say, yeah, we'll let you come in
and compete for the job.
So you want to go and just sit on the bench?
Is that, we're not, Ocho,
we're not wired like that.
Yeah, no, no, no.
We're not wired like that.
Absolutely not.
Everybody's a competitor.
Have you been a starter?
Yeah, everybody's a competitor.
You don't want to go sit on the bench.
But I think with understanding, with understanding and common sense Not everybody's a competitor. Yeah, everybody's a competitor. You don't want to go sit on the bench.
But I think with understanding,
with understanding and common sense for Justin Fields
and knowing that Russell is on a one-year deal,
knowing that sitting behind
a perennial pro bowler,
a Super Bowl champion,
I know this is my job next year
for the foreseeable future.
So you know what?
I'm okay with that.
I'm okay with that.
And we talk about Justin Fields is young.
We talk about the next 10 years, this can be your job in,
I'm about to say in Philly, in Pittsburgh.
Yeah.
According to Ian Rappaport,
the Bears had several offers for Fields this offseason,
but sent him to Pittsburgh because that's what Fields preferred.
At least four additional teams inquired about trading for Fields,
but Fields' representation
asked for him not to be traded there.
He wanted the Steelers
and the Bears did right by him.
What you mean?
Wait, I have a question. What if
he did want to go to the Steelers in
understanding he could beat out the quarterbacks
that were there previously before Russell
Wilson got traded?
Maybe those are the words from Justin Fields and understanding,
you know what, Mason Rudolph?
Yeah, maybe he could beat those.
I can beat those guys out.
I want to go to Pittsburgh.
But all of a sudden, boom, then Russell Wilson goes there.
Exactly.
Now things change.
Right.
So your thought process should change. Well, you got to think. All right, LeHood, let things change. Right. So your thought process should change.
Well, you got to think. All right, LeHood,
let's take it now. Let's take it
back. Let's say your thought process changes. Oh,
shit. Russell Wilson's in Pittsburgh now.
Now where else do you go? We have a chance
to beat a quarterback out. Think about
it. Where you going?
He could be that Gardner Minshew. He could
be that Aiden O'Connell.
That'd be a good one. Him and Gardner? Yeah, he'd be that Gardner Minshew He could be that Aiden O'Connell That'd be a good one Him and Gardner
Gardner Minshew
He's been a starter before now
He looked damn good
He played good in spurts
As well
I don't know
I think that's exactly what happened
He wanted to go to Pittsburgh
And all of a sudden,
the Russell Wilson deal goes down,
and boom, oh shit, now I'm stuck.
And it's already out there on where you want to go,
so you had no choice.
You got to pull the trigger.
He better than the Jazz.
He beat out Daniel Jones.
Ooh, they just paid Daniel all that money.
I think they would purposely let Daniel start
for the next two
years because they paid
him so much they're not
gonna have that much money
sitting on the bench the
Broncos paid Russ all that
money the Packers played
Aaron Rodgers all that
money Philly played a
Carson Wentz all that
money we've seen him eat
48 eating 80 million
eating 40 million eating
48 million 38 38 million.
So don't give me that.
They don't pay.
No, no, no, no, no.
They'll eat that money, Ocho.
They'll eat that.
Yeah, I think it was too late, though,
especially with representation already saying where you wanted to go.
You think representation will get back?
Vikings ain't got no quarterback.
Who the Vikings quarterback?
Oh, Dave, yo, that would have been a perfect situation.
It ain't none of my business. When perfect situation kirk cousins went last he just got here in atlanta right yeah i mean it was last week right yes
yeah see all this was all this has probably been going on behind the scenes for a very long time
and he wasn't thinking that he wasn't thinking that representation didn't know as well you don't
know where players are going until it actually happens but here's the thing though behind the scenes they be knowing
agents be talking yeah because they hey they playing off each other hey so what do you what
do you hear what do they all what do they offer you what do they offer your guy because most time
agents have multiple clients and they're not all one position.
Only two quarterbacks have a hundred
or more interceptions and
sacks taken in the last two seasons.
Both of them now play for the Steelers.
Russ and Justin Fields.
So when you combine the sacks and
the INTs over
the last two seasons,
both of those guys have at least a hundred.
The Steelers turned up.
Think about this. The Steelers just turned the picket
Trubisky, Mason Rudolph quarterback
room into Justin Fields and Russell Wilson.
It's only going to cost them
a third day draft pick next
year and $1.2 million.
Yeah. Steelers been doing it.
Boy, they been. Yeah. Listen,
I think it's a great steal. I think it's a great
steal, but it's a great steal. It's a great steal I think it's a great I hate the word great steal
But it's a great steal
It's a great steal because we know what Russell Wilson
Is capable of doing
And I think he's going to look like the old Russell Wilson
Based on the organization he's with
A winning organization
The head coach he's with
One that's not going to berate him
And disrespect him publicly
Like you know who did out there in Denver.
They're going to allow Russ to cook and do what he's used to doing.
The fact that we're coming out and saying you are quarterback number one to put you at ease and allowing you to focus on learning offense.
And I think they're going to hit the ground running.
I really think they're going to hit the ground running because the level of talent And, you know, a quarterback is only as good as a supporting cast.
Only as good as a supporting cast.
God damn, you've seen the flashes
with that young
boy, with a young
boy could do, God damn it,
pickings.
Oh, yeah. Oh, man, we've seen
the flashes now. If we can get him to play hard
on every play, I know what you're going to say about the block.
If we get him going on every play, listen, what you're going to say about the block. If we get him going
on every play,
listen, we talk about
a young fella, man.
He taking everything
to the house.
Short routes,
intermediate routes,
he can go deep.
He can do it all.
Najee Harris
is exceptional as well.
Jalen Warren.
With the ground and prong.
Jalen Warren, number 30.
Oh, boy, that boy,
no, he can tote that rock.
Boy, he fast.
They got a nice little dynamic there in the backfield.
And I think they can protect Russell Wilson as well.
They're going to be all right.
Well, until they play the Bengals, they're going to be all right.
Yeah.
So, what do you think?
What's their record?
What's the Steelers' record next year?
17-game schedule.
What do you think they'll be?
10-7, 11-6, 12-5, 9-8,
8-9?
I say 9-8 in playoffs.
9-8 in playoffs. They definitely
going to the playoffs.
They definitely going to the playoffs.
All I know is my Broncos better put something at quarterback.
Oh, but hey, listen.
Y'all might as to chalk it up.
Broncos fans might as well get ready
for the tears.
Nah, they better not.
Might as well get ready for the tears. Matter of fact, you know what the Broncos need to do?
Who are the quarterbacks
the Broncos got right now?
Jared Stidham and Ben DiNucci.
Jared Stidham. Every time
you drop back to throw the ball, just
look for Brandon Johnson
That's it
That's your savior right there
My nephew Brandon Johnson
What position did he play?
Receiver
Yeah get the knowing
Get the knowing
Is Corlin Sutton still there?
Yeah
Hold on they're going to double court
We rolling We're 14 We're 14 Yeah. Well, no, no, no. Hold on. Hold on. They're going to double court. They, we rolling.
Well, we're 14.
We're 14.
Roll the X.
Roll the X.
I don't care.
We going to Brandon Johnson every time.
Jared Stidham, Ben DiNucci,
Thornton and Sutton,
or Thornton out of bounds.
Those are your two options.
Again, no, that's not the,
I'm telling you the right option to throw to.
No, they got Marvin Mim. Brandon Johnson. I like Mim. No, no, no, no, no. I like Mim. Mim. Yeah, yeah, that's not the... I'm telling you, the right option to throw to you. No, they got Marvin Mims.
Brandon Johnson.
I like Mims.
No, no, no, no, no.
I like Mims.
Mims is nice.
Mims is very nice.
But again, I'm telling you the answer.
I'm telling you the problem.
If you want to solve the issues
at the receiver position
and who's next up in line
as one of the best,
I'm telling you where to take the ball.
Throw it right to 89.
Mike Cliss is reporting of News 9 suggested that, for now,
Stidham is most likely the starter,
and the team will look to add a rookie in the mix.
Broncos will limit what they can do for one big reason.
By releasing Russell Wilson,
they accumulated a massive dead cap here
and cannot compete with top quarterback salaries.
Sam Darnold cost the Minnesota Vikings $10 million,
a contract that would have cost the Broncos,
roughly half of their entire available cap space.
Well, that's why, hey, when you make those kind of decisions,
when you make those decisions, okay,
you have to live with the ramifications that come with the decisions that you made.
You made the bed, you got to lie in it, like my grandma used to say.
Yeah, I just think the thing is, Ocho, look, I get it.
It's a lot of times when new coaches, new staff come in,
they want their own people.
But look, I just don't believe that Sean Payton gave Russ a fair chance.
I just think he came in and heard some of the things that had been going on
for the year prior to him being there, and it just rubbed him the wrong way.
But I hope this thing works out because at the end of the day,
I don't have no loyalty to Sean Payton.
I'm the Broncos.
Let's be realistic.
You hope what works out.
I hope this situation where I am doing what he's doing.
Listen, you know the situation's not going to work itself out
until you are only as good as your quarterback.
You're only going as far as your quarterback
is going to take you. You have to understand you guys don't have
a quarterback.
Oh shit. You ain't going to be able to get no quarterback
for another two, three years. Well, I know
they ain't going to get one this year, but they should be able to get one
next year. Damn. Like who?
Well, maybe they...
Everybody else is locked in. Everybody else
is locked up. Well...
You think somebody magic just going to appear and all of a sudden just become great out the blue?
No, that's not how it works.
It ain't never worked.
Where you going?
But here's the thing, Ocho.
At the end of the day, the Broncos junked the gun.
Because Russ had two more years left on that contract.
They didn't have to do anything.
At least wait and say, you know what? This is a new
environment. He got to learn a new offense.
He's in a new environment. Let's
see how this first year. The first year
would have told you, I'm not doing anything the
second year.
Yeah.
It's their own
fault. It's their own fault.
You didn't have to do anything.
You think it's more Sean Payton's doing?
I thought the Broncos were
extending him when they didn't
have to.
You didn't have to, Ocho. He's about to
start the extension this year.
He played two years on his
old deal. They gave him more new
money. You didn't have to do that.
Says, look here, Russ. This is a new offense.
You're in a new place. We're going to see how we want you.
That's why we traded for you and gave up the compensation that we gave.
But we want to see how this first year goes.
Well, if you see how the first year goes, guess what, Ocho?
You're not going to extend it.
And so now you're making play out of the second year.
Now you get to move on.
No harm, no foul.
You got all your available cap space.
I would have allowed Russ to get to his third year
a little bit more familiar.
You don't believe anymore, Joe.
It's like being in a relationship when you already
know it's done and you just hanging on.
You know the relationship is over.
She's doing her thing. You're doing your thing.
What the hell are you staying for?
But you stay under the same roof.
Yes.
It's going to be very, very interesting
to see how that plays out.
Hopefully they can make something out of not a whole lot.

Speaking of quarterback rooms,
the Browns' current quarterback situation to have Deshaun Watson as QB1,
Jameis Winston as 2,
Dorian Thompson-Robinson, Tyler Hunt.
I like that.
I like that.
They got them.
Hey, they quarterback room like new addition.
Yeah.
Well, first of all,
you already know they ain't keeping
when you got a quarterback that's making that much money
as a starter and a backup making that much
money you only keep it too
you gotta have a third though you gotta have a third
you gotta have a third for
scout team yeah but most
of the scout team is gonna be taken by Jameis cause that's
gonna be where he gets his work
you know how they take two reps
you know you got 10 reps.
The backup take one or two.
Deshaun takes most of them.
He gets most of his work doing scouting.
Right.
But you know, you're right.
You might, you know.
Who the odd man out?
Who the odd man out?
Dorian?
Has Tyler Huntley ever won a game?
I'm not sure he ever won a game
because remember he was in Green Bay?
Wasn't he in Green Bay?
Didn't get drafted by Green Bay?
I don't think he's ever won a game.
Oh, that was the backup to the Ravens?
Oh, yeah, I like him.
Yeah, that's him.
Oh, I like him.
Hey, as a matter of fact,
hey, I like him.
Yeah, he's nice.
He's nice. But damn, damn, I didn't know the Ravens got rid like him. Hey, as a matter of fact, hey, I like him. Yeah, he's nice. He's nice.
But damn, I didn't know the Ravens got rid of him.
I like him.
He played well.
Yeah, he played well when he was in there.
I was thinking about the guy from you, the one that went to Green Bay.
I was thinking of him.
My bad.
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry, Chad.
Yeah, yeah. Okay. okay that's gonna be interesting that's that's a
very interesting quarterback room like I said I had a brief conversation with Deshaun in Vegas
he seemed good obviously he went through a hash uh surgery on his shoulder and see how soon he's
gonna be um obviously they'll take it slow but but he should be pretty close to being able to throw here in the next,
what, four to six weeks here, Ocho?
Yeah, by the time he gets to training camp.
By the time they go to OTA.
He'll be good.
He'll be good.
He should be good.
He definitely should be good.
Ocho, one of the great defensive players,
one of the great NFL players of all time, decided to call it a career.
Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald announced his retirement
Friday after 10 dominant seasons.
In those 10 seasons, Aaron
Donald, a three-time defensive player of the year,
he's one of three players to win that award at least
three times, along with Lawrence Taylor
and J.J. Watt. He's also an
eight-time first-team All-Pro
and a 10-time Pro Bowl
selection. He was a Pro Bowl selection
every single year of his career,
and he was an eight-time first-team All-Pro.
Donald is one of the two defensive players since the merger,
happened in 1970, to earn a Pro Bowl selection
each of their first 10 seasons alongside Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor.
Donald, Aaron Donald, and Barry Sanders are the only players in NFL history
to play 10 seasons, get elected to the Pro Bowl in each of those seasons.
Barry Sanders played exactly 10 seasons, retiring in 1998.
Aaron Donald played 10 seasons, ended his career with 111 sacks,
the second most among primary defensive tackles.
Johnny Randall got kicked out of the defensive end later in his career.
He ended his career with 137 and a half.
The sack became an official stat in 1982.
He is the greatest defensive player of his generation.
Will we see another Aaron Donald?
Oh, man, that's a good one.
That's a good one, because I didn't even know Aaron Donald was going to be Aaron Donald coming out of Pitt.
Oh, man, that's a good one.
That's a good one because I didn't even know Aaron Donald was going to be Aaron Donald coming out of Pitt.
I had no idea he would turn into the monster that has chastised offensive lines and quarterbacks the past decade.
I had no idea.
I'm not sure at what point it clicked for him once he got to the next level, but it did.
It did. Obviously, the defensive line position is something that I've never really paid attention to.
So maybe other people that did pay attention to him in college knew what he was before
he even got to the NFL.
I thought, Ocho, I watched him at Pitt.
And I was like, damn.
But I didn't know he was that small.
I didn't know he was that short.
He's not small now.
He might be compact, but he put, yeah, he's style.
He put together.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
And so I remember seeing him, I remember seeing him,
his roof heading into the draft.
And I was like, I was like, is that Aaron Donald?
I'm like, well, damn.
Yeah.
But you watch his hands.
You watch the way he has hands like a wide receiver getting off the bump.
And his feet, his feet, his feet.
And so I'm like.
Aaron Donald.
Hey, listen, Aaron Donald is one of the few,
one of the few defensive players that I've seen at that size.
And his footwork is exactly, and I'm not exaggerating, Chad.
His footwork is exactly just as quick, just as ballerina-like, a wide receiver.
Just as quick.
I mean, his movement, his lateral movement is, I'm like, man, what the hell?
You're not supposed to be moving the way he moves at that size, at that position.
Yes.
Which gives him an advantage against anybody.
I don't care whether you're W teaming him or not.
Right.
Off the ball, his first step off the ball.
Oh, my God.
The way he can turn speed to power. Yeah. He can bend the edge. I mean, he has no weakness rushing the ball. Oh, my God. The way he could turn speed to power.
Yeah.
He could bend the edge.
I mean, he has no weakness rushing the quarterback.
No.
He can bull you.
He could hump you.
He could bend the edge.
He turned, like I said, he could turn.
He could, the way he could set you up.
I mean, this isn't chop, and he's by you.
And because he's playing that cock three,
he's in that three technique.
And so now he's right there on your quarterback.
Now, you better not miss him with your hands.
Your hands better be good because he's right there on your quarterback.
He's right there.
And then they started moving him up and down.
And so now he's turning each door hammer.
Okay, that one's locked.
That one's locked.
Uh-oh, they left this one open.
He's in.
So that's what you do with your premium line.
You slide them up and down the line.
Okay, where's the weak link?
You better not be the weak link that day because he's going to wear your ass out.
Yeah.
And that's what he was able to do.
Man, he played an under tackle.
He could play the five.
He's phenomenal.
And the funny thing about it, depending on where he's positioned on the field,
his technique changes.
Yeah, yeah. His technique changes based on where that's positioned on the field, his technique changes. Yeah.
His technique changes based on where that may—I could watch him get skinny on a double team and still get through.
His hands is good on contact.
You can't get hands on him because, oh, he can get small.
He can go low.
He can dip a shoulder left or right, man, he just everything about him is phenomenal
and on top of that, it's what I call
being well-rounded, some people
are just strong and have no technique
some people have great technique and
are strong, but when you got both
and you're able to put it all together in one
he was so good
you get Aaron Donald
he was so good with that Mr. Miyagi
wax on, wax off
quick I would just wish people like you get Aaron Donald. He was so good. He was so good with that. Mr. Miyagi wax on wax off.
Yeah.
Quick.
I mean,
I would just wish people like,
like understand the intricacies of rushing the passer.
Cause obviously,
you know,
I didn't block a lot,
but I did have to understand. So I had to watch what was his move?
What would the guy set up move?
What was the initially trying to do?
Okay.
Was he,
Oh,
was he trying to get me to set my feet?
Cause now if I set my feet,
he gonna bull me. I understood that. Okay. If I got lazy with my hands, was he trying to get me to set my feet because now if i set my feet he gonna bull me i understood that okay if i got lazy with my hands he's gonna chop me and now i
ain't got no i always had to be strong with the outside i understood that because hey i know john's
taking seven and the last thing i want to do i can let him step up so i'm never gonna let the guy
beat me across my face because if he gets around the edge i can push him around john should step
up in the pocket.
So you just have to understand who you're dealing with and what's this,
what's this setup move.
Okay.
Once I shut down his setup move,
now we can play football.
Never let him beat you with his initial move.
Ocho.
If a guy likes to bull,
no,
you got to sit heavy.
If a guy likes to get around the edge,
no,
you got to take that kick.
You,
Hey,
you got to kick harder than you think.
You can't get lazy with that kick.
Hey, you got to get up out of there, Ocho, because if you don't, he's around the edge.
Yeah.
And so that's the thing.
Once you make contact, okay, you stuffed his initial move.
Now you play football.
Now, hey, Ocho, we're in a street fight.
He trying to throw me.
I'm trying not to get thrown.
Right.
And then another question.
Yeah, another question that I thought about.
Someone that has played so well as he has.
Were they trying to, was he trying to beat them to the punch and trying to make it take a pay cut?
No, hell no.
He's 14-mile pro this year.
Yeah, even though.
But I'm just trying to think, why would Aaron Donald, at such a great point in his career,
when he's playing so well, why would he want to retire?
I don't think he's not one that's been injured much.
Because the thing is with him is that he's one of the few players
they bang every time.
You know, you don't get no plays off because he got to hit that guard.
They bang it.
Yeah, yeah.
Okay, I got you.
He playing no 50 play because, you know, there's 65 plays.
And he's probably playing 45 to 50 of those.
It's boom, boom, boom, boom.
The double team.
I mean, think about it.
They're double team.
They're triple team.
They're doing everything they possibly can.
Because when you go into an offensive meeting, they normally have.
We had the Reggie White circle.
We had the Bruce Smith circle. We had the Derek Smith circle. We had the Derrick Thomas circle.
We had the Johnny Rantz. You couldn't beat them
if you couldn't block those guys. Now,
we played Minnesota when they had
Purple Rain. They had
Chris Dolman. They had Chris Millard. They had
Hank Henry Thomas. If
you're from Minnesota, if you're a football fan, you know
what I'm talking about. And they had Al Noga.
And boy, they start blowing that horn, Ocho, and that dome.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Ooh.
Make it stop, Lord.
Make it stop.
Right, right.
They was hell.
So you know going into the game who you must neutralize to have a chance.
Because if you couldn't block Aaron Donald, you couldn't beat them.
LT was the same way. LT if you couldn't block Aaron Donald, you couldn't beat them. LT was the same way.
LT.
You couldn't block LT.
Everybody in the L.T. made two.
And I tell people this.
This is why you can make a case.
LT is the greatest player because he made two positions famous.
Because if you didn't have a left tackle, you couldn't beat the Giants.
And then everybody wouldn't got.
They wouldn't got the Cornelius Bennett.
They wouldn't got the Derek Thomas.
They wouldn't got the Vaughn Millers.
They went and got all those guys, the TJ Watts.
That's LT.
All the chops.
See, LT wasn't good enough to drag the quarterback down.
LT was with the chop.
So that's when I say it's hard for me to say the greatest player in NFL history
because he's the only guy that made two positions famous.
Right.
Nobody thought there was no left tackle.
Yeah, well, you better get one.
Minnesota went out and got Garrett Zimmerman.
And they went out and got all these guys.
Jimbo.
Because if you couldn't block 56, you couldn't beat the Giants.
You couldn't.
That's crazy, man.
I'm mad.
I'm sad.
I'm sad.
Shit, I'm sad to see him go.
I am, too. I am,. I'm sad to see him go.
I am too. I am too. He wrote on social media throughout my career, I've given my everything
to football both mentally and physically. 365 days a year was dedicated to become the best
possible player I could become. I'm excited about off-field opportunities. I'm looking
forward to spending more time with my wife Erica, my kids Jada, AJ, Arik, and Alia.
The greatest reward was being able to play this game with them by my side,
and I can't wait to watch them live out their dreams just as they watch me live out mine.
That's live. That's dope.
That's dope. That's dope.
Aaron, I know you're going to see it, but I wish you the best.
I wish you the best.
He's a great dude, man.
Had an opportunity to speak.
Talked to him a little bit.
Got a chance to know.
Man.
Like I said, Ochoa, I came up in an era where, you know,
we had a lot of those great defensive players.
The Regis, the Bruce, the LT, the Derek Thomas, Johnny Randall.
Yeah.
Hey, when it's all said and done, you can rank them how you want to.
Yeah.
But he got those three defensive players.
For me, I give LT a slight nod because, I mean, you win.
LT won MVP as a defensive player.
No, I'm not saying defensive player of the year, Ocho.
I'm saying MVP, the award that Lamar Jackson got,
a defensive player got it. A player, yeah.
Yeah, he was dominant.
I don't think people understand because they weren't in.
They don't.
You would have had to been there to see it,
to understand how effective and dominant Lawrence Taylor was.
Hey, remember, when he first got to the top,
he was rookie of the year and
defensive player of the year.
So that would be
the equivalent of who's ever coming
out in the draft this year with defensive
rookie of the year
and defensive player of the year in the same
season. And remember,
when LT came out, the sack
wasn't an official stat. The sack
didn't become a stat until the year later.
Right.
That's crazy.
You know what's funny?
You know, on Wednesdays and Thursdays,
I always go to Twin Peaks.
I always go to Twin Peaks to watch my soccer games.
Right.
And who you think is always coming from the golf course with his boys?
LT.
They come smoking every time.
Every time.
LT. Yep, same time smoking every time. Every time.
Yep, same time, every time.
3 o'clock.
When the games come on at 3 o'clock,
LT always right there.
Yep.
Kirk Cousins, not going to apologize,
excuse me, for my financial success.
Many have said this week that if the NFL had a Hall of Fame
for planning big contracts,
Cousins would be a first ballot inductee.
He signed a four-year deal with the Falcons
worth $180 million,
$100 million fully guaranteed,
$50 million at the time of signing.
If he completes this four-year deal,
Cousins will have earned $411 million,
excuse me, $330 million,
which will be fully guaranteed.
But Cousins shrugged off the notion that people think monetary success over on
field play.
I'm not going to apologize for the fact that I've been,
that I've been a great blessing financially for my family,
but my year in Atlanta,
but my year in Atlanta years in Atlanta,
I certainly want to be able to be about how I won a Superbowl and how I won a
lot.
That's nice. That sounds cute.
Obviously, as a quarterback, you're going to say all the right things when there's a
camera in front of you. You're going to say all the right things. Listen,
Kirk Cousins is a God-fearing man. And one thing about God,
he has favor. And he has been blessed
beyond means as a quarterback who has done very little
on the field as far as winning yeah playoff wins going to super bowls he has one playoff win
correct this one but again the consistency in which he plays at a high level in the regular
season is i think one of the things and why he's able to command the money that he does
and i think it's overlooked because they're not very many
quarterbacks that you can go and pick or go and get and say you know what I'm
willing to pay this individual and you turn a blind eye to his postseason
success because of what he does in the regular season one of the few and one of
the things that are very important When any player Regardless of position When the timing
Of when you're up
Matters so much
Yes
And the timing
For Kirk Cousins
Has always been
On his side
Yes
Always
It's always been
On his side
Always
You coming off
An ACL injury
Achilles
And you just signed
A four year
180 million dollar deal with a team that
is in need, in dire
need of a quarterback.
Oh, Joe. People need to
we use the term free agency
because you're free. Free
agency is not about being good. It's about being
free. Right. Because we've
seen numerous guys, and I
don't begrudge them, but I just got to speak
honestly about it.
Right. Like you said, it's free. I'm free. Okay. We got to spend this money on something. We got
to pay somebody. Well, he's the best. We need that position. He's the best available in that
position. Okay. Let's go pay him. Cause I got the, I got to overpay him to get him to leave
the environment that he's already in. Why would I leave a system that I'm already familiar with?
I'm comfortable with. I'm comfortable in,
I know what to expect from them,
they know what to expect from me.
My family's here, but I probably have kids that go to school, I'm entrenched in
the community. So why would I, I'm paying
for you to uprule
all of that and start
replanting here.
You're paying for the inconvenience.
And replant it here.
But listen, with Kirk Cousins there, I know one thing You're paying for the inconvenience. Yeah. And replant it here. Mm-hmm.
Yeah, but listen, with Kirk Cousins there, I know one thing.
The numbers for Drake London, the numbers that I've expected Kyle Pitts to have since he left Florida, like he did in his rookie year, those numbers are going to be consistent from now on.
I know that.
I know they're going to put up some numbers now.
Well, they better.
Hell, I'm paying $45 million for a quarterback.
I better get some targets.
I mean, the quarterback better be able to hit the receivers.
He's going to sling that ball.
They're going to sling that ball now.
That's one thing he can do.
Patrick Queen, who's now a rival of the Ravens,
says he can't wait to be a rival of the Ravens
at his introductory press conference after signing the Ravens. He says he can't wait to be a rival of the Ravens. At his introductory press conference after signing the Steelers, Patrick
Queen acknowledged he hasn't always had a warm feeling towards
folks in Pittsburgh. Naturally, you can't be a Raven and have fuzzy feelings for the Steelers.
Steelers, Queen spent his entire career with the Ravens, but now he'll play
the Ravens at least twice a year in 24. Maybe make
the playoffs because we have played them in the playoffs.
It's going to be weird, but I want to be the villain, Queen said.
I want to be that guy.
It is typical how most guys feel against their old teams.
What's your take, Ocho?
I mean, listen, I don't think, if you think about it,
I don't know off the top of my head how many players
have gone to division rivals.
That doesn't happen normally.
But this year, it's happened on multiple occasions.
Multiple occasions, players are going to their division rival.
Normally, teams do not let you go to a team in your division
because they don't want to have to deal with you.
They don't want to have to deal with you.
But again,
in this case,
it's different.
I really liked that.
Pat,
that Pat said,
I'm going to embrace being a villain.
I'm going to embrace being a villain.
Listen,
the Steelers haven't had a linebacker go to the Pro Bowl since Ryan Shazier in
2017.
You get someone that's really good.
You get someone that's really nasty And fits that Pittsburgh style of defense
Similar to what the Ravens are
Hitching them out
Help you up and hitching them out again
So he fits perfect
And he's a good dude
I talked to him last year on Inside the NFL
I love him
I love everything about him, man
I love everything about him
I'm not saying he's Ray Lewis
I'm not saying he's Ray Lewis But I'm not saying he's Ray Lewis, but he
has that Ray Lewis instinct and
style of play. He's all over
the place. He had his best season, because
remember, they didn't pick up his fifth-year option.
So that's why he was able to become free.
It's funny, the way he played
last year, why wouldn't you pick up the
fifth-year option? Well, you have to pick it up
at a certain time. So once you start the season, you have to pick it up at a certain time. So
once you start to see that you can't pick it up.
Yeah. I mean, that was a no-brainer.
That's a no-brainer.
What you gonna do, though? You got Roquan.
You're paying $20 million. You about to have two linebackers
and you play $20 million? Oh, I see what you're saying.
That's a money play. That's a money play.
You just gave
what's the D-tackle?
Matt Biquet?
Oh, you just paid him? You just gave, what's the D tackle? Matt Bickway? Oh, you just paid him?
You just paid him like $20 million.
You got Marlon Humphrey at corner making $19 million.
You're about to have to do so with Kyle Hamilton.
He's about to want $13, $14 million.
Yeah.
Kyle got by one more year.
Yes!
They're going to lock him up.
They got to lock him up.
Be special.
Young Bull is special.
Yeah, but listen, McQueen is deserving of what
he got. Obviously, I understand
that Ravens fans were talking a little
trash to him. Obviously, it's
out of his hands. If you want to be upset, you got to be
upset at the organization. Actually,
how about understand how the business works in itself?
Understand
how the business works in itself.
Things like this happen and have always
happened. It's the nature of the business.
You can't keep everybody.
It's impossible. You can't.
Oh man, if you're a Raven man
you shouldn't want to go to the Steelers or the Browns
or the Bengals.
You do realize like the Ravens are the only team that pay players.
Them other 31 teams, they pay players too.
I'm going to go where the money.
And the Steelers are known for linebackers.
I mean, when you think linebackers, you go back to Lambert and Ham and Russell,
and you got Harrison, and you got Joey Port, and you got Jason Gilder,
and you got Earl Holmes, back on Andy Russell.
Come on, bro.
Yeah, Kendra Bell, Larry Foote, James Farrier.
I remember all them boys, man.
You got one that fits that mold
and what they used to have.
Hey, I'm going to follow them.
I guarantee you, there's people that work
at Apple that used to work for Google
and vice versa.
And ain't nobody say, man, I can't believe
man, how you do? I can't believe you
worked at Google and now you over here at Apple. Apple, man, I can't believe, man, how you do? I can't believe you worked at Google and now you over here at Apple.
Apple, right.
I can.
The money's green no matter where you go, honey.
Hey.
Hey, I just need to, hey.
And you know what?
And PQ said, you know what?
My bank account got a BBL.
Oh, yeah.
You know what I'm saying?
My bank account got a BBL. Now, yeah. My bank account got a BBL.
Now, what y'all talking about?
I like that.
Man, y'all better leave me alone.
I'm going to get that paper.
Yeah, and it's going to be hell when they play now.
Yeah, for sure.
It's going to be hell when they play.
That's going to be a good one.
I forgot about it.
They had G. Lloyd.
They had Kevin Green.
See, I came up in the air when they had those guys.
Yeah. I also got Porter. I got Gildan. I got, you know, came up in the era when they had those guys. I also got Porter.
I got Gildan. I got, you know,
Kendrick, Bill. I got some of those guys.
But I
came up when they had...
I played
against G. Lloyd when he was in college. He went to
Fort Valley. Yeah. Fort Valley
State? Yeah.
I didn't know that.
Yeah, they called the defense Blue Death.
Blue Death?
Blue Death.
That's crazy.
Oh, but hey.
Because imagine him, Eddie Anderson.
Eddie Anderson played with the Raiders.
He was a safety.
Yeah.
And they had G. Lloyd.
That was the only year they ever beat us, though.
That was the only year they beat us.
They ain't beat us no more.
So they had a good squad all the way around.
Oh, they had a good squad back there.
Their defense was good.
Their defense was really good.
Yeah, they ain't beat us no more, though.
I ain't sure of that.
They ain't beat us no more.
Ah, that's dope.
But congratulations to Patrick Queen.
And it's not, look, Terrell Lawrence played for the Eagles,
went to the Cowboys.
Brent Favre played for the Packers, went to the Vikings. Deshaun Jackson played for the Eagles, went to the Cowboys. Brett Favre played for the Packers, went to the Vikings.
Deshaun Jackson played for the Eagles, went to Washington,
later returned to the Eagles.
Darrell Revis went to the Jets in New England.
Richard Sherman, Seattle's and 49ers.
So, bro, if somebody's going to break bread, man, you know,
y'all used to be my division rivals, man.
I can't go to you.
The hell you say?
Yeah, shit.
Ain't nobody turning down no money now.
Hell no.
Not to count the money they all day paying.
Nah, shit.
Boy.
But you know, fans don't get it.
Fans just look at it.
They look at it like in a vacuum.
Like if you play for this team, you shouldn't want to play for that team.
Right. You should feel how I feel. Your allegiance will always be to us, no matter what. in a vacuum. If you play for this team, you shouldn't want to play for that team.
You should feel how I feel.
Your allegiance will always be to us, no matter what, and that's not the way it works. That's not the way
the business works. No, it ain't never
have it. It never will.

Oh, Charlie, I don't know if you read your podcasts. Oh,
I don't know if you read this story.
There's a story,
a legend that Bruno Mars has about 50 million in gambling debt with the MGM
grant.
He had a relationship with the park MGM Las Vegas casino,
the hotel for more than eight years.
Bruno Mars is reportedly taking home 90 million a year from his current deal
with MGM.
And he just launched a cocktail lounge, the Pinky
Ring, another Vegas-based
MGM property at the
Bellagio. Still,
$50 million. Now, I was listening
to somebody today
and they said, this high roller
said that he was playing next to Bruno
Mars. And he watched him
lose about $17 million
in the span of... Man, come on, man.
I'm just saying...
Do me a favor. Think about what you just
said. Just think about what you just said
and say it slow.
A high roller sat next to
Bruno Mars and watched him lose...
Say the number slow.
$17 million.
I almost. I almost
you know what
I almost got upset.
But I'm going to gather myself
I'm not going to get upset.
But just think about that.
17 million down the drain.
Yeah.
Ocho you know
Ocho you know
you try to get it back Ocho
because
How are the people in the casino
Knowing and seeing that he has a problem with gambling
That ain't my problem
You ever seen the movie The Gambler?
Yes
You ever seen the movie The Gambler with John Goodman and Mark Wahlberg?
Yes
That's not my problem
See Bruno Mars needs a friend like me Wahlberg? Yes! That's not my problem.
See, Bruno Mars needs a friend like me.
That's more so the people around
you. Even if I know. If I know you have a
problem, I'm going to find a solution
to make sure you don't do that. You don't
gamble and lose 17
fucking million. I don't care how much
you make. But hold on. I thought you said
how can you tell a man how to spend his money?
Could anybody tell you what to do with your
money? If you took it outside and set it on
fire, who made that money?
Okay, I see
where you're going. I see where you're going.
But listen, this is a little bit overboard.
Matter of fact, this is past overboard. This is
fucking absurd. This makes no sense.
This is the point where you're
crossing the line to where it's almost dumb.
It's almost stupidity.
50 million in debt.
Even if you make 90,
how does the casino allow you
to be in debt that much?
How do you continue
as a casino
to rightfully give someone a money line
continuously because they make 90 million?
Easy. Because guess what? The same way you can go get a loan, you make $100 million,
you can go get a loan for $50 million. You ask, how? Well, how the bank give you a loan for $50
million? Because you make $100 million. Listen, you're going to always be in the red.
You're going to always be in the red. You're going to always be in the red. Always. You're
not going to always be able to make that kind of money all the time.
You have a short amount of time.
You have a small window.
Well, if you're an artist
like Bruno Mars
and if you've seen him,
if you've seen him perform,
you understand
his window of opportunity
to make money
is a lot larger than others.
Yes, for sure, yeah.
A lot larger than others.
That motherfucker
knows he can perform.
Oh, he is unbelievable.
Probably one of the greatest entertainers up there
with Chris Brown and Michael Jackson
was a company that put him on the show.
If you haven't seen him, you missed the show.
Hey, he's the real deal.
But still, he need the right people in his corner.
This lets me know, Bruno Mars,
you need someone like me in your corner.
I guarantee you, you lose $1,000,
bitch, you gonna stop right there.
You ain't going past that.
Oh, Joe.
He needs somebody like me in this corner.
Think about how many drug addicts
when their parents or a loved one
try to save them.
If you create a demon,
only you can chase it away.
Sometimes with demons,
you need somebody to cast a spell.
Because sometimes when it comes to demons,
you know, like the exorcist?
Yes.
You got to have that,
not a pastor, what you call the man?
You got to...
An exorcist?
Oh, you're talking about a priest?
A priest.
There it is.
I can be the priest
to help Bruno Mars with those demons.
I just need to sit down and talk to him.
First, what are we going to start with?
We're going to stop drinking.
That's the first. That's step one. We're going to stop drinking. That's the first.
That's step one.
We're going to stop drinking because when you're inebriated, you ain't thinking right.
You're making so much money, you're not thinking right.
Let me help you understand the value of a motherfucking dollar.
Let's start there.
That's step two.
Okay.
So we're going to stop drinking.
Step two, I'm going to help you financially and be a little bit more financial conscious.
We know you're making a lot of money.
We know.
Let's put some of this shit up.
Oh, sure.
For a rainy day.
Okay, can I ask you this?
Talk to me.
How do you think they keep building those casinos?
Are they building them with losers' money or winners' money?
The winners.
But I don't want Mr. Morris to be a statistic.
If they win, they can build a casino. Yeah, you're right. But the losers' money. Okay. But I don't want Mr. Mars to be a statistic. If they win, they can build a casino.
Yeah, you're right, but the losers money.
I don't want Mr. Mars to be a statistic.
Because we can talk...
Wait, wait, wait. Stay with me now.
Stay with me. Let's talk about all the artists
that were great in their time
during their days
while they were hot.
That are now broke.
Yes!
That are now broke. I! That are now broke.
Yes.
I'm talking about
was going crazy
during that time.
You know,
the span of an artist,
the height of their career
is more so
maybe a 10-year run.
Maybe a 10-year run.
Yes.
But Bruno Mars
is so great at his craft
and what he does
when it comes to performing
and commanding a stage,
I'm assuming his
would be much, much longer
because I put him
somewhere almost in the legend, in the legend, in'm assuming his would be much, much longer because I put him somewhere
almost in the legend, in the legend realm. I think he's that great at what he does.
But again, it hurts because you know how I am when it comes to spending money.
I just wish he saw the value in money the way I do and he needs somebody like me in his corner.
But that's a whole joke.
I want to know who Bruno Mars' friends are.
But let me ask you a question.
What if everybody thought like you?
What if everybody thought like...
That's what makes us unique.
Everybody can't think like you.
But if everybody thought like me,
we wouldn't have no problems.
Nobody would be in debt.
Nobody would be in debt.
We'd all be driving
motherfucking smart cars
and flying spirits.
No.
I'm not driving no smart car.
I ain't working my ass off to drive no smart car. I feel dumb.
No, you won't. That's why it's called smart car. Wait a minute.
Smart car is made by Mercedes. I get 55 miles in a gallon. To fill up my tank, it's only $13.
So let me ask you a question. Let's just say it. I hope this doesn't happen. Something happened to you and you're no longer with us.
You think your family
going to save that money
like you did?
You did all that hard work,
got no enjoyment out of it.
Somebody else is going to
enjoy it more than you.
Wait, wait, wait, wait.
I am getting enjoyment out of it.
I get enjoyment out of
spending my money on my kids.
Spending my money on real.
I get enjoyment out of
paying tuition for my kids
to go to college.
You don't think I do that?
I enjoy putting my money up for the younger kids that I have
that are going to want to go to college and do some of the things that they want to do.
I'm enjoying it.
You can do all that and still enjoy yourself.
Listen, let me tell you.
The enjoyment I also have is playing FIFA Ultimate Team,
Madden Ultimate Team, spending money there,
buying skins on Call of Duty.
My enjoyment is a little different. Somebody going to there, buying skins on Call of Duty. Like, my enjoyment is a
little different.
Somebody going to say buying skins is a waste of money.
Somebody say buying skins is a waste of money.
No, it ain't. No, no, no. It ain't nothing but $100.
It ain't nothing but $100. That's $100.
You can feed somebody
at the Salvation Army. You can feed somebody
at the line for $100.
I do that too.
But, I mean, my enjoyment in the ways I spend money
is much different than everybody else.
But that, the way he's spending it,
now that's, come on now,
you know that's not right.
You know that's not right.
You know me.
Look, I just think the thing is,
Ocho, look,
maybe there's a deeper issue
than just gambling
because at some point in time,
you know, your your rationality and your
your conscious has to like damn but i understand because i've been in such i've been in a situation
where i bet a thousand i lose i bet two thousand lose bet four thousand you keep trying to get it
back with one hand oh man you you got the same goddamn problem too oh when i when i when i played
when i when i made money like that, yeah, I would go gamble.
Sure, for sure.
If you lose a thousand and you lose two,
that means get your ass
up out of there, man.
No, hell no. I ain't no quitter.
I ain't no quitter.
Oh, no.
If Rel would have told you,
no, she don't want to talk to you, you'd have quit?
Hell no. I'll do you a lot you're a lot you're a lot i well i ain't chasing behind nobody that don't want to deal with me i'm
good oh you don't want me okay i'm that's cool on to the next because if you don't want me
there are other people lined up for that they ain't real they ain't real. It ain't real. So you going to settle. You going to settle.
You got the Hope Diamond.
But you going to settle for a Cuban Zirconia.
God told me.
Listen, when I play in the NFL, what do I wear on my ear?
Cuban Zirconia, right?
If I have to settle for it in real life, that's fine with me.
Oh, no.
Oh, no.
Oh, no.
I wouldn't be a fan.
Get you together.
That's all right. That's all right. That's all right.. Oh, no. Oh, no. Oh, no. I wouldn't be a pain. Get you together. That's all right.
That's all right.
That's all right.
He just talking real.
He don't mean that real.
Oh, no.
It's not a bad thing.
We're just using the hypothetical.
I'm just saying if the opportunity
presented itself
and I was interested in her
and she didn't like me,
I'm okay with that.
Something that men these days
have a problem with.
Rejection.
It's okay.
There are so many fish in this sea.
You might not catch them. Sometimes you're fishing in the wrong motherfucking area. You might not catch
that trophy fish. Because if you're a fisherman,
everybody that's a
fisherman, you're looking for that fish.
And now I got a fish
that's so big he left a hole in the water.
I got it on my wall. Yeah.
As a matter of fact, I should have Jordan to go upstairs right now. I got a caught a fish so big, left a hole in the water. I got it on my wall. As a matter of fact, I should have
Jordan to go upstairs right now.
I got a caught a fish so big, the pitcher
weighed eight pounds.
I don't know what I'm trying to do.
He up there right now.
Listen,
but you know what? Sometimes some
fishermen, they fish in the places
they ain't even got no business.
That's why the fish
they trying to catch
keep turning them down.
You got to understand,
you got to fish within your means.
Sometimes some of the men,
some of the men,
men stay with me in the chat now,
you're chasing women
that are salary cap casualties.
Yeah, you hear me?
Stay within your financial lane.
But that's still out of your range.
Even if they were a cap casualty for someone else. That was a good one right there of your range even if they were a cap casualty for someone
else that was a good one right there
even if they were a cap casualty
somewhere else what did the Broncos
say because they got so much dead
money it made it cost
prohibitive for them to go get a quarterback
in the free agent market so now
just because somebody else released them
because of the cap that don't mean
you could get it.
Right.
Yeah, I like that.
I like that.
I like that.
And that was a good line, fellas.
I ended the chat.
I know y'all liked that one.
We came up with that one.
High five, Ojo.
Yeah.
That was a good one.
We got that one.
Yeah, for sure.
Stop chasing women.
Stay within your salary cap.
Yeah.
Stop chasing women that are going to be a salary cap casualty.
Fellas, this is all you got to do.
Go through an Instagram, right?
Go through women's Instagrams
and you look at the image
that she's trying to portray.
Are you willing to pick up
wherever the guy left off
that she's,
the image she's trying to portray?
You know,
do I have the funds
to keep that up?
What I see.
If not,
keep scrolling.
Keep fishing.
Yeah, man. They come out
with them little rail bags.
That Chanel XX.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Or they got them Birkins.
Yeah, yeah. You see all
that on a page and you know that ain't
in your...
If you got Coach and
Kate Spade money, you need to keep scrolling
down if somebody got a Birkin or a Bollard or LB. You got Coach. You got Kate Spade money, you need to keep scrolling down. If somebody's got a Bergen or a Bollard or an LB, you got Coach.
You got Kate Spade money.
Yeah.
Scroll on down.
Listen, being realistic.
One of the key things that we as fellas and men have to understand, we need to be self-aware.
Yeah.
Self-aware.
It's easy.
It's our ego.
Because the thing is, look, look and i look i've been
i've been guilty of it i mean look i've i've seen women out of out of my price range but that ain't
the thing all they can do is tell me no i right i had to get i had to you have to build up calluses
right here no especially once you become someone right now you hey you know you tell me no high
school hey okay it is what it is.
I keep it moving. Right, right, right. But then all of a sudden
I started becoming something, and you
tell me, and I'm like, well, damn.
Yeah. Okay.
Yeah. So it's hard.
It hurts you a little bit?
Oh, oh, Joe, the thing is
like, okay, you broke up with this
guy, and I don't know the guy, he wasn't no teammate
of mine or anything, but you're like oh
she used to go with such and such damn
okay but then
I'm looking like man
I'm looking at the car she's driving I'm looking
at my car I'm looking at the bag she
carrying I'm looking at my billfold
right right now this ain't gonna work
out your car nice in the mind
and what the hell I'm gonna do for you
yeah
I mean I got on to do for you?
I mean, I got on Lee Jean and you got on Versace.
You see? You see what you
had? The key word.
Self-awareness.
And knowing I can't do nothing
with that because she would be a salary
cap. And many of us,
many of us will still chase
it and spin and go over the cap.
No, she out of my price range.
And then wonder why you in the red.
Hey, she out of my price range.
Like, hey, man, what kind of car you going to get?
The kind of car that I got.
I can't throw half a million, no $700,000, no million off of no car.
Hell no.
Hey, listen, in the higher up,
the higher you ever go, you got to understand
there's a small percentage of the 1%.
So you look at all the fine
women, right? Yeah.
And all the
small percentage of the
1%ers are all dating all the
fine women carrying all the nice shit.
They all dating the same women.
And what you think your chances are?
It's only a few, It's only a few of them
that got it like that.
Only a few.
Listen,
mathematically, I wish somebody
in the shack could break this down.
Think about MLB,
NFL, NBA,
and just do the number crunching and think about
all the women there are in the world.
It's only so many of them.
But everybody want the dude that's at the top.
Yes, for sure.
It's impossible.
It's impossible.
You got to compete for the...
Man, don't get me started.
Ocho.
And women, once you've dated...
Michael B. Jordan. Michael B. b jordan says you know it's hard
to get someone that's why i tell people all the time that's why movie stars marry other movie
stars because they know what it's like to live that world they know what it's like to be isolated
and they know what it's like right you have to be selfish times 10 now you get these women and
they've dated an n player or an MLB
player or an NBA player.
How the hell they go back to
an average guy, a normal, excuse me, not average,
a guy working 9 to 5. Let's
just say he makes $100,000. When
you dated a guy that had a private
jet pick you up, take you to an
island or he get, hey, baby,
we're going to have breakfast. But he picks your
ass up on a yacht. Y'all drive up somewhere, get your ass off,
and it's prepared for you.
You think she can go back to a normal guy after that?
She's not, none of them are going back.
Come on, guys.
Come on, chat.
Give it a buck with me.
You know what frogs do, right?
You know what frogs do in the pond?
They hop from lily pad to lily pad to lily pad to lily pad to lily pad
until they find one.
That's when we stop.
Until a big fish gobble them up.
Until some one big guy come and take them off those pads.
That's it.
That's it.
And they continue to play that game the rest of their life
because they're not going backwards.
They're not.
No.
Come on,
Ocho. I mean, those women,
I mean, come on now. A woman done been with a guy like that. That dude make
$20 million, $30 million.
He break it off.
Somebody is making $20 million
and he just like,
he got it like that?
He break you off 15 bands a month.
Yeah.
That ain't nothing. 15 bands a month. Yeah. With no.
That ain't nothing.
15 bands a month.
Maybe 20.
That ain't nothing.
Hey, what you doing, LLC?
I got that covered too.
What kind of car you need to drive?
I got that too.
What kind of bag you carry?
I got that too.
So she getting all this.
So she's probably getting a quarter of a million to half a million.
And you think she's supposed to go back to another guy that's making $100,000.
And that's no knock on you guys, because I made
$63,000 one year. Come on,
man. We got to be realistic with this.
It's different. It's different.
I don't even know how we got here, but I love this
goddamn topic.
People are like, oh, bro.
I ain't got no problem with Dre.
I don't
not so sure that I would know her
I would recognize her because a lot of times
these women are smaller in real life
than they are than they project
in IG
so when I find myself like
well damn you lucky you about 5'6
you 5'2 you 5'1
I ain't got no
problem
you heard the analogy I just used right
they go from lily pad to lily pad I have one. I don't got no problem. You heard the analogy I just used, right?
What's that?
They go from lily pad to lily pad to lily pad until they find one where they strike gold.
And that's the game.
The game has always been the same.
The game has never changed.
No matter how they try to portray it,
no matter how many long inspirational messages
they write on Instagram,
it's always been the same.
And the better you are at playing it,
the better you understand it,
the less you are to get caught.
You just have to continue fishing
in the pond you belong.
And you're always going to be good.
Stay in your place.
Stay in your place.
Stay in your place.
I mean, hey, I'm good.
I'm good too.
I'm good.
I'm good.
Yeah.
Ojo, O Yeah Hey Ojo
Ojo
Ojo they say
You don't know how
Casinos work
Casinos doing the same thing
They does
When they pay people out
For winning
They just find a way
To get their money back
Did you hear what they just said
What
I don't know how casinos work
Do I gamble
No
Exactly
Of course I don't know
How casinos work
Because I'm not spending
No goddamn money People in the chat You know how I don't know how casinos work because I'm not spending no goddamn money. People in the chat, you know how I am. You know how I am. I mean, if you follow me
throughout my career, even before I made it, I've always been this way. So the discipline was always
there. I just can't fathom or understand how you lose that kind of money at some point.
Even if you're not thinking rational, at some point you lose a certain when you lose a million, okay
come on now.
50 million? Ocho.
50 million in debt? Ocho.
Think about that. Think about what you said
to the person that's making
$35,000, you giving $2,000, $5,000
tip, saying Ocho is out of
his damn mind. So you have
to understand
hey, he making $ hundred million a year.
He looks at it like that ain't got, that ain't no problem to me because the person that's making
50,000 a year saying, Ocho, you mean to tell me you gave somebody $5,000 to bring you your food,
which they're paid to do? I like that you said that. The reason I tip the way I do, $1,000, $2,000, sometimes $5,000,
depending on what I have coming in for that month,
is because here in America,
which is why I need to be president,
they don't pay us a livable wage.
I understand the service industry
isn't paying a livable wage.
They're getting paid, but not a livable wage.
They can say that about any job.
They can say that about any job.
Right, but okay.
But there's a reason
why I tip the way I do
because I understand that
and I kind of empathize
with those that are
in the service industry
which is why I've been doing this
the past 20 years.
Right.
But any job,
you know,
it's just unfortunate
because when you travel to Europe
and I sit there and try to tip
and they look at me
like I'm goddamn crazy,
like, why are you tipping me?
They see it as disrespect.
Why do they see it as disrespect?
Because they are paid a wage
where they can live comfortably
where they don't have to rely on tips.
Yeah.
That's all.
It all depends on where you're living at.
I don't give a damn how much tips you get paid.
Unless you like dollar bill,
you're in the stripping game.
Unless you're in the stripping game. Unless you're in the stripping game,
the tips ain't popping like that, man.
Right, right.
But, Ocho, check this out.
That was a good topic, man.
Yeah, man.
Guys, look.
Guys don't understand.
They look at it like,
bro, somebody that's making $100 million,
somebody that got $300 million bank, and they're making $50 million a year.
What's a quarter of a million to them?
Y'all don't get it.
Y'all talking about, oh, simping.
You say simping because you ain't got it.
I don't see it as simping.
There are certain things that you have to do when you're at that level.
I don't care what you do now.
For you to sit here and say that you haven't given a female money or you haven't paid rent or you haven't bought a purse or a car is just not true.
It's just not true, Chad Ocho Cinco Johnson Rosado.
Me?
Do me a favor.
Do me a favor, please, real quick.
Chat, chat, stay with me real quick.
Read, read, go to my
Twitter real quick, please, please, please.
Read my bio to the chat in my bio.
Please, real quick, real quick.
So you have a better understanding and know
of course, you know I do that.
Read my bio
on Twitter to the chat real quick, please.
Read my bio on Twitter to the chat real quick, please.
What does it say?
So you have a better understanding.
Man, what Ocho bio say?
Ocho.
You ain't got it in front of you?
No, I don't normally have people bio pulled up in front of me.
You should have your phone right in front of you.
Just go to my page.
What does your page say, Ocho? Tell it. Read it.
All right.
I don't know about hard. Okay. Hold on.
You know,
I do spin. I have to,
in a sense. Okay, you ready? Yes.
Chat, stay with me real quick.
Listen to me and think. Stay with me now. McDonald, you ready? Yes. Chat, stay with me real quick. Listen to me.
And think.
Listen, stay with me now.
McDonald's is cheaper than therapy.
And never forget, you're paying for sex indirectly, but the word relationship changes the narrative.
Okay.
You with me, right?
Yeah.
You hear what I'm going?
Yeah.
Okay.
All right.
Just stay with me.
That's all I'm saying.
Okay. Okay. That's it. That's me. right? Yeah. You hear where I'm going? Yeah. Okay. All right. That's all I'm saying. Okay.
Okay.
That's it.
That's me.
That's me.
So what you were getting ready to say is, well, you know, I take care of those that
I'm dealing with.
Always.
Always.
That's all I'm saying.
But hold on.
In moderation.
No.
What you're not going to do is you're not going to take me to the cleaners because I don't
move like that.
Ocho.
To the guy that's not in your position, he couldn't do that.
He's saying that's excessive.
We take care of the people in ordinance to what we have to offer.
You see what?
Ah, bingo.
Exactly.
So that's why when you go fishing, you need the fish in your lane so the individuals that you're dealing with don't cause you or
not a salary cap casualty it's pretty easy it's very it's very simple very
simple when I was young I would be free to think about catfish trout real crappy
perch pike salmon right man bass. I'm fishing.
Man, what you fishing for?
Whatever bite.
Man, what the hell you talking about on show?
Hey, what you have, man?
Hey.
What you have?
What you have?
I don't know what y'all talking about.
Hey. Oh, you say you fishing for whatever bite, huh? Whatever bite. Man, what y'all talking about.
You fishing for whatever bite.
Man, what y'all fishing for today?
Whatever bite.
Now that's a good one.
You got me in his sweat, man.
Y'all better
leave me alone, man.
Hey, Chad, I want to chat.
I want to chat to argue about my goddamn bio.
I just, I want people
to understand what I'm saying.
But you're not lying, though, Joe.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Of course.
Listen, depending on the word,
depending on the word,
you know, the goalposts move
depending on the word you use.
Oh, I'm not dealing with no dude
who don't got no money.
Well, when you exchange,
when you have to be paid
for a service,
what is that called?
When you have to be paid
for a service,
what do we call that?
If I'm not mistaken,
the P word,
I don't want to say it.
Oh, you say prostitution?
Right? Okay. Oh, you say prostitution? Right?
Okay.
So when people say, I'm not dealing with no dude without no money, if you use the word relationship, it changes the narrative.
Stay with me now.
I know it's Sunday.
I'm not here to preach because I'm not here to preach.
Just the definition changes everything.
But that's a whole other topic. But let's go let's go let's go somebody just said that's why that's what I'm single and Ocho got got a woman you see that's
what drives y'all crazy those that know won't tell those that tell won't know y'all don't got know
what I got but it's the key.
I got lucky because not only do I have a woman, I have a woman that has money as well.
Yeah, for sure.
There's a balance.
So a balance where everything isn't on me.
I kind of consider myself, I don't want to say lucky because there are other women that are doing well for themselves out there.
Yeah, for sure.
But I found I got lucky.
I'm going to just say that. I got lucky. I'm going to just say that.
I got lucky.
I got lucky.
Because everything on me.
There are other guys that are those higher caliber guys where they carrying all of the.
Yeah.
I'm not calling nobody dead weight.
I apologize.
But here's the thing, Ojo.
They carrying everything.
They carry everything.
First of all, I mean, once you get to a certain level of a man
who the hell you can marry who let's just say for the sake of argument
you make a hundred you make you worth a hundred billion who the hell he gonna go man
i mean the the l'oreal the l'oreal uh uh eris you you limited listen once you start
when guys start making 15 20 30, 30, 40, 100.
First of all.
It shrinks significantly.
Significantly.
If you're trying to get somebody in your dating pool to make that.
There isn't.
There isn't.
And that's no lie.
It don't bother me.
It's not bad.
It's not bad.
It's not bad.
I mean, just it's the land and the way it's always been.
And that's okay.
