Starting point is 00:03:01 Ocho, let's jump right into it. Tom Brady got roasted. They tore his ass up too. They got him good. You know what? I didn't get a chance to see it. I saw a few clips on Twitter. I'm sure you probably saw more than I did. I just have one question. I'm sure you're very familiar with the roast that I talked about earlier when we talked about roast as far as everything being a green light, especially back in those days where nothing was really frowned upon and everything, and when I say everything, was a green light, even
Starting point is 00:03:29 the jokes that had a little bit of racist undertone, the watermelon jokes, the chicken jokes. Was it anything like that or was it a PC roast? No, it wasn't no PC. They tore his ass up. And I could admit, and probably from the very beginning he
Starting point is 00:03:46 realized what the hell because you have to understand look a roast in and of itself like even though we don't have cameras and all that when we roast one another we had the barbershop we had to get together with the boys we roasted we bring you had to sometimes roast what do they roast lead to a fight because you're making too personal yeah yeah see now so in that situation man they bringing up stuff man hey hey they brought up something about mr craft he didn't seem to press i think some uh comedian said hey uh i thought i was gonna get a a massage. Make a reference to Mr. Kraft and Tom's like, hey, don't say that. You can't do that. Rule number one, when it comes to roasting,
Starting point is 00:04:30 you do not interrupt the person roasting at all. You cannot interrupt the roast. That is the whole point of a roast, especially one of this magnitude with a polarizing figure like Tom Brady. You got to sit there and take it. Did they roast the relationship between
Starting point is 00:04:45 Giselle and her trainer? Did anybody? Yeah. They went there? Bro, that's a roast. I'm telling you, that's when you've been around situations where guys just start out joking. We call it joning, call it roasting, whatever they call it to be. And it gets
Starting point is 00:05:01 out of hand. It starts to get personal. It starts to trade into a situation, oh, your girl, oh, your wife, oh, your kid. And it gets out of hand. It starts to get personal. It starts to trade into a situation. Oh, your girl. Oh, your wife. Oh, your kid. But in this situation, this is what you signed up for. So, again, you have to be careful. Me?
Starting point is 00:05:18 Could I roast somebody? Absolutely. Can you take it? Could I get roasted? Oh, no. Absolutely not. I could never. You can't take no roasting? No, because here's the thing. The guys that you're going to need to roast me,
Starting point is 00:05:33 they know everything. That's the point. You get Bucket, you get Burns, you get some of the guys that's been around me for 30 years, they know all the bodies are. Right, right, right. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:47 But call low shade out of the test. Somebody else. Let him have it. Am I the whole, the whole night. I like it. I think obviously because of my personality, because I am,
Starting point is 00:06:02 I'm pretty easy going. I could probably, I could sit through a roast because I'm so, I'm so easygoing. I could probably, I could sit through a roast because I'm so used to jonesing or ranking, whatever you call it, wherever you're from. I would enjoy that. I would enjoy that. If there's anything that you've done
Starting point is 00:06:16 that you're not proud about, you're going to bring that up. That's a part of roasting, I understand that. That's a part of roasting. I know. You say, see, it's easy to say that until you. And it's like it's like being in that chair in that interrogate room. Man, I ain't going to tell him nothing.
Starting point is 00:06:32 And then they come in and they start throwing pictures and they start talking about such and such. Hold on. You know about that. And they talk about what this is. This is a murder. This is a death sentence case. This is a capital murder. You've seen the first 48
Starting point is 00:06:46 when they in Memphis. This is the first 48 that lived in Liberty City. Oh, yes. I remember. Clear as day. Now, all of a sudden, they're talking about that's a death. Hey, they're going to put that needle in your arm. Oh, yeah. I know. Mama not going to be able to hug you. Granny ain't going to be able to see you no more.
Starting point is 00:07:01 You know what? When it comes to me, obviously, I think your life has been a little bit more private as opposed to mine. Everything I've done, I've always lived publicly. Always. So my goods were public and my lows were public.
Starting point is 00:07:17 You understand where I'm going? So I was never one to hide behind social media or tuck my tail. When I made my mistakes mistakes i made it with my head high yeah i took responsibility and just and went on about my day trying to recover and do all the right things to right my wrongs if if i might say so that's why i say someone like someone like myself if it came to a roast i can take that because i've had the brunt of the bad in front of the world. So, I mean, it wouldn't be no issue.
Starting point is 00:07:50 Yeah, see, for me, like when my boys, me, Joni, I don't even they say stuff, it don't even bother me. That's a small crowd. But see, now you're talking about people that you don't know and you don't have a relationship with you. Joni, or Roastie. But see, now you're talking about people that you don't know and you don't have a relationship with you.
Starting point is 00:08:05 Yeah. Joni or Rose or Roasted. That's what you know. And you and I, we go back and forth with each other. But you and I have a personal relationship. I wouldn't dare let somebody say some of the things that what you be taught, how you be taught. Oh, no. Mm hmm. Mm hmm. mm-mm hell to the no but see that's the whole point of having a roast because now you're getting people but in a roast
Starting point is 00:08:30 a lot of times they start off that's what they do these are comedians like the first 10-15 guys that roast your ass they've been doing this 10-15-30 years you had the Carol Burnett you had the Don Rickles you had the Rodney Dangerfields you had the Will Wilson the Richard P had the Dawn Rickles, you had the Rodney Dangerfields you had the Bill Wilson, the Richard Pryor
Starting point is 00:08:46 all those would let you have it what's up girl Esther from Samson and Son what's her regular name oh my goodness boy hey boy she was so funny on that goddamn roast with Dean Martin
Starting point is 00:09:02 man Dean Martin, oh they got tapes with Dean Martin, man. Dean Martin. Classic. You know, they got tapes. They got tapes with Dean Martin. You could get like 20 tapes of celebrity roasts. Where they lighting people up. Everybody. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:16 Now, like I said, going to an HBCU, if you can't jump, you can't roast, I don't know how you make it. I don't know how you make it. I don't know how you make it. And we used to have the Roses like, we just go to each other's room and we just Joan each other. I'm talking about Joni. I'm talking about, oh, yeah. As a matter of fact, my old teammate Red Grant. Wait.
Starting point is 00:09:40 Wait. Comedian Red Grant? Yeah, he's on the team. What position Red Grant? Yeah, he was on the team at Savannah State. What position Red played? Pullback. Wait, he must have been fat back then. Red's small. Yeah, he was a pullback.
Starting point is 00:09:54 Oh, God damn. Hell, everybody was small 35 years ago. Hey, man, I see. Listen, I hate to change the subject. I used to watch Red Grant at the Laugh Factory way back when I was in L.A., way back then when D. Ray Davis used to host sometime. That's how long I've been watching Red Grant. Damn, that's dope. We used to have talent shows.
Starting point is 00:10:15 Red, another dude named, his name was Bernard Mack. And they would do comedy. This other dude named Eugene Brantley, they would have wrestling matches. Wrestling? Yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, Joe, we had real live talent. The girls, I mean, they could
Starting point is 00:10:35 really, really sing. Oh, man, it was unbelievable. But when it came to that, Joey... Different ballgame. You know, you know, oh, yeah. But like you said, different ball game you know the whole shape the shape oh yeah but like you said
Starting point is 00:10:48 things that you could get away oh you getting canceled today you getting canceled today cause I we were ripping them
Starting point is 00:10:59 but that's where we are now and you adapt I still can get them off though you know I can still get the jokes off that's where we are now. And you adapt. I still can get them off, though. You know I can still get the jokes off. That's my thing. So, Gisele, Bob Craft,
Starting point is 00:11:12 Nikki Glaser with some crazy Aaron Hernandez jokes. Who knew Drew Bledsoe was funny? They booed Kim Kardashian. Even Coach Belichick. Wait, B was up there? So that, that... Yeah, Coach Belichick came on that thing. Was he funny?
Starting point is 00:11:27 Dressed like an encyclopedia salesman. But he was... But he was there. He was there. Oh, that's funny. Oh, man, yeah. But the roast, hey, everybody,
Starting point is 00:11:41 everybody, like I said, like comedians do really well in roasts because they know how to take... That's their environment. That's their environment they're used to it that's that's it it's just like a football player he knows how to take a hit a wide receiver running back they know how to take a hit the average person you put about there in some past say okay take this hit you breaking something something getting broke because you don't know how to give you don't know how to give. You don't know how to fall. So, but everybody,
Starting point is 00:12:09 nah, them rolls ain't for everybody. Yeah, I got to watch that one. Obviously, I'm not watching it tonight. As a matter of fact, I still think they're tearing his ass up. Wait, it's still going on? Yeah. Okay. I'm going to watch it in the morning. The night ain't happening.
Starting point is 00:12:26 Yeah. It's going to be going on, it in the morning. The night ain't happening. Yeah. It's going to be going on, but it was good. Like I said, I think Tom, he probably like, once that initial burn got over, he's like, okay. But you know, he was sitting there like, that sounded like a good idea at the time.
Starting point is 00:12:41 Not while you're in it. Once it's gone, it's too late, then you can't back out. Yeah. You ever know on the show somebody asks you to do something, and you're like, yeah, yeah. And then when it comes time for you to do it, you're like, man, why the hell I say yeah? I know damn well I'm going to
Starting point is 00:12:57 want to do this. It happens all the time. I... And then you get stuck. But it is what it is. But he's doing the best he can with it. I know that Giselle stuff, it stinks. You think so?
Starting point is 00:13:17 To hear about your old lady was seeing, bro, you Tom Brady. The greater the person, the greater ego. You know how that works. And to know somebody potentially was with her while you... Man, stop it, Ocho. Listen. You listen. You've always said it before.
Starting point is 00:13:33 What did you say about expectations? If you learn to manage your expectations, you won't be... Ain't no managing no expectations when I've been in a marriage for 10 years and two kids, ain't no managing no expectation. You done been around long enough now. You done been around long enough.
Starting point is 00:13:53 You understand that you know women. You done been around... Come on now. Ring on the finger, relationship, title. Come on now. So let me ask you a question. Let's just say for the sake of argument, you're married.
Starting point is 00:14:06 Have a baby. You have a baby. And then, you know, baby need blood or something. You ain't a match. Are you managing expectations? You're under the assumption that's your key. Ain't no
Starting point is 00:14:21 managing no expectations and no marriage. Maybe in a relationship. Maybe we dating. I should manage my expectations. Ocho, I've been through all my expectations out the window. I've all lived with your ass. Hey, that little Maury analogy you just gave
Starting point is 00:14:37 right there. We done seen it happen over the years. Wake up with football every morning and listen to my new podcast, NFL Daily with Greg Rosenthal. Five days a week, you'll get all the latest news, previews, recaps, and analysis delivered straight to your podcast feed by the time you get your coffee. No dumb hot takes here, just smart hot takes. Starting point is 00:15:06 That's Patrick Claibon, Steve Weiss, Nick Shook, Jordan Rodrigue from The Athletic, and of course, Colleen Wolfe. This is their window right now. This is their Super Bowl window. Why would they trade him away? Because he would be a pivotal part of them winning that Super Bowl.
Starting point is 00:15:24 I don't know why, Colleen. Catch the podcast, the NFL Daily with Greg Rosenthal every day. Subscribe today and you'll immediately be smarter and funnier than your friends. And who doesn't want that? Listen now on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. to four month old Marquise you are not the father man I'm going to tear up that hospital I ain't going to even lie man I'm going to tear that hospital up
Starting point is 00:15:53 I'm with you when you're right I'm with you when you're right but there's just been so many so many situations and I always think to myself is I try to be realistic even in all situations and put things into logical terms, you know, and understanding that human error is inevitable. We all try to strive
Starting point is 00:16:15 for perfection in all that we do. And many of us continue to always fall at times by the wayside, no matter how perfect we try to be. And I always keep that way, way, way, way in the back of my head. All the way in the back. Way back. Just with understanding that as great as individuals try to be as partners
Starting point is 00:16:37 at times they make mistakes. At times they do. Even with that Ocho, even with that minor the fact that you've been in this relationship so long yeah thinking and right and you like how could it be because she's with me or she's at working but she's found a way to deceive me for it appeared even if it even if it's only for 30 minutes even if it's only for 30 minutes, even if it's only for an hour, let alone and here's the thing that gets a man
Starting point is 00:17:08 when the woman steps out on him in the relationship. Because in order for that woman to at least step out of that man, she feels something. You see, unless a woman is a prostitute, she can't distinguish fuck from feel. So there is an attachment to that guy.
Starting point is 00:17:24 Emotional attachment. Yes. A guy, when they say a guy will hit a snake, if you hold a head, he'll hit the wood pile that the snake in if he thought he was in there. That's how disattached they are with that situation.
Starting point is 00:17:39 But for a woman to have a sexual relationship with a man and she's in a relationship or she's married yeah oh and that's what get it because you know you know you've been there yeah think about think of think about this and obviously you've been a part of that circle the elite part of the one percent you've heard the stories you've heard the countless stories of these situations happening over and over and over and one thing i mean retaining one thing i've never done throughout the years and anyone i was dealing with i never thought i was that big of a
Starting point is 00:18:16 person where it can't happen to me ever oh no ever ever ever and i one thing i've never done is i never put anything past anyone no matter matter who it was, no matter how much I love them. Never put anything past anyone. Human error is inevitable. Inevitable. Yeah. And that's just that's just the way I've always lived. And that mindset has always saved me from being hurt. Disappointed, yes. Disappointment, yes. Being hurt, no. Because here's the thing.
Starting point is 00:18:54 See, women are not impulsive. Yes, sir. Men are impulsive. See, a woman... Oh, yes, strategic. Strategic. She's going to call her girlfriends, hey, we're at the mall,
Starting point is 00:19:04 go buy me something from Victoria's Secret. Now, she's going to buy you what we're at the mall go buy me something from Victoria's Secret now she's gonna buy she's gonna meet up with her girlfriend get it put that on for you with old dude
Starting point is 00:19:11 to knock the hoops off come on now talk now yeah now you found that out because she planned it called premeditation see women are not impulsive
Starting point is 00:19:22 women are not impulsive they're three steps ahead they're three steps ahead always, women are not impulsive. Women are not impulsive. They're three steps ahead. They're three steps ahead. Always. Because women are like cats. See, a cat can sneak up on you and rub on your lips. Where did you come from?
Starting point is 00:19:33 You go hear a dog. A dog will come. You hear his feet on the floor or you hear him pant. Cat sneak up on you, rub on your lips. Where you come from? So he done planned it.
Starting point is 00:19:43 Yeah. But you know what? Get all that. And then when you find out, he done planned it. Yeah. But you know what? Get all that. And then when you find out, then you find out. Yeah. But listen, one thing about it is,
Starting point is 00:19:52 and I can be honest, we family chat. When you've been on the other end of the spectrum, when you've been on the other end of the spectrum for so many years and you were a part of the planning, you get where I'm going? Stay with me. When you were a part of the planning that you get where I'm going? Stay with me.
Starting point is 00:20:06 When you were a part of the planning that's being done, then you're a little bit more seasoned. You're a little bit more seasoned to understand when something ain't right. I'm trying to take you there without really going there. Okay. Are you
Starting point is 00:20:21 picking up what I'm putting down? I picked it up. But the chat understands. I mean, I'm sure the people in the chat, I mean, sometimes, you know how guys are. Ain't nobody ever did this to me. I ain't never did. You the one. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:37 Somebody probably got on right now. Swinging from the chandelier while you talking about it ain't happening. You up here talking to Ocho and I, and somebody got him hip deep. But hey, that's the thing with the roast, Ocho, so if people know that,
Starting point is 00:20:55 all your indiscretions. Everything is out the bag. Yeah, man. So, Tom Brady, a better man than me. Like I said, hey, one-on-one in the locker room, we with the boys. I'm the roast champ. Man, man. So, Tom Brady, a better man than me. Like I said, hey, one-on-one in the locker room. We with the boys. I'm the Rose champ. Man, alive.
Starting point is 00:21:09 Oh, that thing going to be aired? Oh, dude. Mm-mm. Oh, Joe, the Cleveland Cavaliers won their first playoff series without LeBron James since 1993, 106-94, and it wasn't easy. They came from 18 points down, the largest come from behind win in a game seven in NBA history. Excuse me.
Starting point is 00:21:32 Donovan Mitchell, after following his 50 points in the game six loss, would not be denied. He had 24 of his 39 points in the second half. Cleveland trailed by as many as 18 in the first half and by 10 at the half. The comeback was the largest in the game seven, at least since 1998. Not ever since 1998. The Cavaliers will face the top seeded Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference semifinals. Game one in Boston, TD Garden on Tuesday.
Starting point is 00:21:56 You know, I have a question. Again, your basketball knowledge is eons above mine. So when I think about the Cavs having to face the Celtics, for one, congratulations to the Cavs on winning and what they were able to accomplish. But do they match up well? Like when it comes to boxing, styles wins fights. Style of fighters wins fight, depending on who's fighting. Obviously, it's the playoffs. Do the Cavs even stand a chance? Even with what Donovan Mitchell was able to do. Wagner, Carter, some of those fellas.
Starting point is 00:22:27 I mean, not... Franz Wagner did not play well. He was 1 for 15, 0 for 5. Suggs was 2 for 13, 2 for 10 from 3. Really, no one really played well. Pablo Banquero, he was...
Starting point is 00:22:44 He wasn't efficient efficient but he got to the foul line 35 and 16 he's the second youngest player to have a 35 15 game since magic johnson um uh wendell carter jr but dude to answer your question they only have a two-headed monster they only got garland and mitchell, and Garland hadn't played particularly well the last... He didn't play particularly well this series. It'll be interesting. Now, they're going to need more than Donald and Mitchell to go off. It would help if they had Jared Allen.
Starting point is 00:23:14 I don't know if he's coming back the next series, but him being out, that's the twin towers. He and Evelyn Mobley, they can block shots, they can alter shots, but without him being there, I don't know if they have... Could they win a game? Yes. Do I
Starting point is 00:23:30 expect them to win the series? Absolutely not. Even with Chris Stafford Zingers being out, I just think Boston is too much. So they're going to shoot him out the gym then, basically? Basically. Basically. Look, look, basically basically look Strews will probably take
Starting point is 00:23:51 Okuru will probably take Tatum Strews probably will deal with Jalen Brown and then Garland will probably take I'm assuming he'll probably go take Derek White because you want to save Donovan Mitchell.
Starting point is 00:24:10 He's your best offensive weapon if you don't want him expending a whole lot of energy on the defensive end. Right. So I'm thinking who's going to start? Probably Big Al will start in front of, and since Brzingis is out, inevitably, Mobley will deal with him.
Starting point is 00:24:28 But I just don't see Cleveland having enough to deal with Boston. Damn. Well, hell, you might as well just... Boston going to the... Might as well chalk this series up then, basically. But here's the thing, though. Everybody, you remember what happened last
Starting point is 00:24:46 year first player of the game um jason tatum shoots the ball in the game seven against miami tweak that ankle knee he wasn't the same boom so everybody you're you're a a superstar rolled ankle tweak need something And now it changes the entirety of the series. But I like Boston in the series. But give the Cavaliers and Donovan Mitchell. We know Donovan is big time. We've seen him go
Starting point is 00:25:16 have 50-point games before. I think he had 57 against the Nuggets. I think both of those 57-point games, he lost. Those 50-point games, he lost. Did he lose to the Nuggets when he dropped 57 on them in the bubble? Because I know he lost the other day, game six, but
Starting point is 00:25:31 I think both of his 50-point playoff games, he's lost. I like it. I like it. But they are moving on, and they will face the Boston Celtics. Game one one Tuesday. Hip off at TD Garden.
Starting point is 00:25:47 I'm waiting on tomorrow. I mean, since we're on the topic of basketball, I'm locked in. I'm waiting on tomorrow. I'm trying to see that young fella man down there in Minnesota, man. Man. Wait, they do play tomorrow, right? I'm not tripping.
Starting point is 00:26:03 Oh my goodness, man. Matter of fact I like Young Bull I like Young Bull games so much I'm probably going And you know how I am about money I'm probably going to take a trip to Minnesota I'm probably going to take a trip to Minnesota And sit courtside
Starting point is 00:26:19 Just to watch Young Bull play I got to see that in person At least once And I hope it's one of those I hope it's one of those four. I hope it's one of those 31, 43-point games. 43-point games. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:33 Dang. So, Magic had a great season. They're a very, very young team. Banquero is going to be something special. He's unbelievable. You see why Orlando took him number one overall. A 38-point effort. The second youngest guy to do a 38-15 game since Magic Johnson.
Starting point is 00:26:53 That's saying something. Anytime it's you and Magic, yeah, you're in pretty elite company. So Cavaliers move on. They face the Celtics on Tuesday in game one. Now it's time for News Cap. Oh, Joe. We got graphics. There we go.
Starting point is 00:27:11 I'll be panicking. We missed graphics one time, but we got the graphics. Willie Colon says Mike Tomlin is on the hot seat. The Steelers are 0-4 in the postseason dating back to 2017. And the team's former offensive lineman, Willie Colon, thinks Mike Tomlin should be on the hot seat given those recent playoff struggles. The issue with Tomlin right now is he wins games he's supposed to win, but he loses games he shouldn't lose.
Starting point is 00:27:40 And now Steelers Nation is frustrated because they're looking at the organization right now that is well above average, and then they lose bonehead games. I'm saying to myself, well, who are the Pittsburgh Steelers? Are they the bullies, or are they the dweebs right now? If you lost to the Patriots and the Cardinals,
Starting point is 00:27:57 you look like dweebs. You like what Colon had to say? You agree with what he had to say? The only Willie Colon I know is a Spanish singer. Let's start there. So I'm trying to understand, Mr. Willie Colon, why his words and how he feels
Starting point is 00:28:13 and what he's saying holds any weight. Why it holds any weight. Now, Mike Tomlin, the whole point of everything you want to do as a head coach coming in is your end goal at the end of the day is a Lombardi trophy, right? Correct. He hasn't had a quarterback. For one, let's start there.
Starting point is 00:28:35 Ben Roethlisberger was on the tail end. On the tail end, you got Mason Rudolph. You have Kenny Pickett. Things haven't worked out. So until you get a quarterback in-house, you understand how difficult it is to win games and get back to that historic winning franchise that you're used to unless you have a quarterback in place. So let's say they do fire Mike Tomlin. What happens next? If you still don't have your quarterback situation figured out,
Starting point is 00:29:08 you're right back at square one. Going through the same shit, the same rigmarole as you were before. Mike Tomlin has been very good for the organization. His resume and what he's done for them, it speaks for itself. So why
Starting point is 00:29:23 Willie Colon wants to come out and say some of the things he's saying now, it matters. Not, it matters. Not. I think, I think the thing is, Oh, Joe, when prominent players play for an organization and they speak negative about the organization, it carries a little bit more weight than some casual. If you were to say something, if you were to say something negative about Cincinnati, people are going to listen.
Starting point is 00:29:46 Yeah, but I would never. I would never. But I'm just saying. Can I ask you a question? How did you just say that? Just real quick. Yes. Now, I would be critical
Starting point is 00:29:54 in certain aspects when things aren't going well. Have you ever been critical of the Ravens in general or the Broncos? I'm just curious. Mm-hmm. Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:30:06 So when you say someone spoke out against the Steelers, who are you referring to? I'm talking about Willie Colon. I don't even know who that is. So what does, you see what I mean? What does that tell you? He's an offensive lineman.
Starting point is 00:30:18 He played when you played. Man, I don't got no man. Tell Willie go sit down somewhere, man. Tell Willie go sit down. I know, I know Willie Parker. I know, I know Willie Parker. I don't know the man. Tell Willie go sit down somewhere, man. I know Willie Parker.
Starting point is 00:30:26 I know Willie Parker. I don't know no goddamn Willie Colon. Listen, he name don't hold no goddamn weight, no disrespect. Listen, I'm a Bengal fan at heart, taking up for the goddamn Steeler organization, because I don't know who the hell Willie Colon is with this bullshit he talking about.
Starting point is 00:30:44 You don't think Mike Tomlin should be on the hot seat? Putting him on the hot seat is... Let's put him on the hot seat. Let's put him on the hot seat. We have two quarterbacks in question. We have Justin Fields
Starting point is 00:30:59 and we have Russell Wilson. We have a great supporting cast offensively. Najee Harris, two receivers. Unc, you got to excuse me real quick. Is Deontay Johnson still there, or is he gone? No, he's gone. He's in Carolina. He's in Carolina. So we got brother George Pickens.
Starting point is 00:31:17 Who's on the other side of George? Don't start me lying. I don't know. I didn't follow the draft, so I don't know if they drafted somebody or not. I really don't. I don't know I didn't follow the draft so I don't know if they drafted somebody or not I really don't I don't I don't I don't like that because I I if I can't ring off the receivers and supporting cast that Russell Wilson and Justin Fields have to work with that's not a good thing this is a passing league so you're going to need catchers of the ball catchers of the ball that I actually have knowledge about and know about because it makes the quarterback
Starting point is 00:31:46 job that much easier. Whoever the offensive coordinator is with the Steelers, it makes his job easier. The better catchers of the past, oh my God, the better catchers of the ball that you have. I'm going to say receivers. I don't know why I keep saying that.
Starting point is 00:32:04 Damn, man. Willie Colon. Come on man now willie cologne he's making that's what happens look me personally ocho i try to i try to stay away in the offseason because there's nothing happening they just had to draft you got ota you got training camp. Once the season starts, because a lot of times, Ocho, a lot of times, look, in this business, what we're in, a lot of times, people, analysts, prognosticators,
Starting point is 00:32:34 whatever you want to call them, they want to be first. Them being right, they want to be first. And so, I'm going to base it on what I see over a period of time now the standard is the standard for the steelers they expect to compete from lombardi's and they haven't been able to do that in a very long time now mike tomlin is not the only coach
Starting point is 00:32:59 that's been dealing with quarterback issues. And we hold those coaches accountable. So that's all I'm saying, is that we hold other coaches accountable for the play of the team. And I think, look, Willie can have his opinion, and I don't want to speak for Willie, but I'm just saying, like,
Starting point is 00:33:20 when I evaluate, and, you know, Kyle Bowler, and when we had T-Bone, we had some of the other quarterbacks. I'm like, bro. And yeah, it probably hurt more because it came from me. It came from me. And so I know it probably, but they know at the end of the day, there's no malicious intent.
Starting point is 00:33:40 I'm just basically because I got to do that, Ocho. I can't just criticize everybody else and then let the Ravens and the Broncos skate. See, but coming from you, it means something. It holds weight. Okay?
Starting point is 00:33:52 Based on your resume and what you've done, you have a gold jacket. So coming from you, it hits home. It stings a little bit, especially for those players that are there
Starting point is 00:34:01 that play for the Ravens, especially those players that are there that play for the Broncos. Now, that's no disrespect to Willie Colon. I played the game for a very long time. I played against the Steelers twice a year for a decade straight. This individual that has said what he said about Mike Tomlin and the Steelers organization, I have no clue or idea who the hell that is. And I mean that with all due respect. But with him with great understanding of knowing that you played the game, you understand the situations that are lacking in Pittsburgh.
Starting point is 00:34:32 Why say Mike Tomlin is on the hot seat when he doesn't have the adequate parts that are needed to compete for those Super Bowl Super Bowl titles like they have, which if I'm not mistaken, they have six. Yes, The Steelers organization is unlike any other. They normally let the head coach leave on his own free will. That's why they've only had three in the last almost 60 years. They had Chuck Knoll,
Starting point is 00:34:57 who left on his own, 92. They had Coach Cower, who left on his own, and the heck of Mike Tomlin. So here is the situation. Normally, the coaches leave on their own. The Steelers, they're not moved by fans booing and saying, fire this. They're not moved by.
Starting point is 00:35:14 No. They're not going to let the fans bully them. A friend of mine in Pittsburgh, Ed Bouchette, people writing stuff into me. That's not how the Roonies, that's not how they move. They understand. See move they're very they understand see their football life all they've ever done right it's football with the exception of a year since 1933 they've owned the team had a year off got it back but for the most
Starting point is 00:35:38 part this is what they do this is who they are now they've had some brothers branch off and do the casino and the horse things like that but this uh this branches of the Roonies, this is what they do. So they understand that it's not like a normal business that you have ebbs and flows and then, you know, hey, get a new CEO. That's not how the Roonies are not going to react, say, like a lot of other owners would when the fans become restless or they print negative or negative things are being written or said about them in the paper. So. Wake up with football every morning and listen to my new podcast, NFL Daily with Greg Rosenthal. That's Patrick Claiborne, Steve Weiss, Nick Shook, Jordan Rodrigue from The Athletic, and of course, Colleen Wolfe. This is their window right now. This is their Super Bowl window. Why would they trade him away? Because he would be a pivotal part of them winning that Super Bowl.
Starting point is 00:36:56 I don't know why, Colleen. Oh, joke. Check this out. Touchdown Wire ranks
Starting point is 00:37:24 the NFL top 36 quarterbacks. We already know who number one was, so we don't even have to. Josh Allen was two. What? Joe Burrow was three. Yeah. Okay. Josh was two.
Starting point is 00:37:41 Burrow was three. Herbert was four. CJ Stroud, five. Stafford, six. Lamar, three Herbert was four, C.J. Stroud five, Stafford six Lamar seven, Jordan Love eight, Aaron Rodgers nine Trevor Lawrence is ten whoa whoa whoa hold on hold on let me look at my notes
Starting point is 00:37:56 let me look at my notes and rework chat y'all stay with me chat and tell me if I'm wrong about reordering this list of quarterbacks. Now, number one is Patrick Mahomes. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. I didn't even read his name.
Starting point is 00:38:12 Number one is Patrick Mahomes, Ray Charles, and Stevie Wonder can see that. Number two, to me, Chat, despite the injuries, number two is Joe Burrow. Okay. Then, we can go josh allen yeah okay number four should be lamar jackson what are we doing what i mean all things being said i'm not so sure
Starting point is 00:38:37 lamar should be past two or three okay lamar jackson should be next. Now, Justin Herbert, I love him to death. He's been in L.A. for, is this year four or year five coming up? Five. Five. I think it's five. C.J. Stroud in one season has outplayed Justin Herbert. Chat, do you agree with me? Chat, let me know if you agree with me.
Starting point is 00:38:58 Yeah. Okay. Yeah. So, C.J. Stroud should be four. Now, wherever you want to take it from there with everybody else, that's on you. That's just my four picks based on what I've seen the past couple of seasons, and especially CJ Stroud's rookie season. Historic.
Starting point is 00:39:20 I'll try. Yes, sir. Ocho, they got Justin Fields ranked in front of Russell Wilson. You see what I'm talking about? You see what I'm talking about? You see what I'm talking about? Hey, hold on. They got Deshaun Watson ranked behind J.J. McCarthy, behind Gardner Minshew, behind Will Levis,
Starting point is 00:39:36 behind Jacoby Brissett, behind Drake May, behind Caleb Williams. Really? What are we doing? Why is Tua all the way at fucking... Oh, shit. I'm sorry. I'm sorry? Why is Tua all the way at fucking... Oh, shit. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
Starting point is 00:39:46 Why is Tua all the way at 18? So what are they basing? What are they basing? What is touchdown? I'm not sure who touchdown... That's their list. They put a list together, Ocho. So don't start me lying.
Starting point is 00:39:56 I'm not going to start you lying. But let's like... Come on now. Like this is how touchdown wire, you can lack credibility. When you have a list like this, that is all out of sorts. Chat, I know you all agree with me, especially with my first four. As far as everybody else, after four, I'm assuming it's based on preference,
Starting point is 00:40:15 but you would want to use it based on stats and what those quarterbacks have done for their team. Yeah, I want to know what they're basing it on because to have Trevor Lawrence in front of Brock Purdy. Wait a minute. How is Brock Purdy
Starting point is 00:40:31 and Jalen Hurts all the way? They got Kirk Cousins who hasn't won a playoff game. I think he won one. He's won one. Okay, he's won one playoff game
Starting point is 00:40:43 in front of Jalen Hurts, in front of Tua. Dad, Kirk Cousins, Jared Goff. I think Goff is a little too high. He should be a little lower. Tyler Murray. Listen, come on now. Come on, touchdown wire.
Starting point is 00:41:02 Come on, man. We got to do better now. We got to do better. I'm not sure. I'm sure you have a great knowledge of the game of football, but this is ridiculous. This is ridiculous. I'm going to create my own goddamn chart.
Starting point is 00:41:16 Go ahead. We'll put it up. Houston Texans revival has caught J.J. Watt's attention. The three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year hasn't played since 2022. revival has caught J.J. Watt's attention. The three-time NFL defensive player of the year hasn't played since 2022. But if the Texans head coach, D'Amico Ryan, gives him a call, he's willing to consider coming out of retirement. I told D'Amico
Starting point is 00:41:35 last year, I said, don't call unless you absolutely need it. But if you ever do call, I'll be there. And he knows not to call unless it's absolutely necessary. I like that. Matter of fact, to call unless it's absolutely necessary. I like that. Matter of fact,
Starting point is 00:41:49 I'm going to try that too. I'm going to try that too. Since D'Amico Ryans and J.J. Watt have that type of relationship where if you really need me and you make that call, but make sure you really, really do need me,
Starting point is 00:42:02 I'm going to try that with Zach Taylor. I'm going to try it with Zach Taylor I'm going to try it with Zach Taylor if you really if you need some fresh legs in training camp you want to give T you want to give brother Burton you want to give Chase a little rest bring me in there
Starting point is 00:42:16 you want to give Tyler Borden your ass O ain't nothing on you French who O I have no wear and tear I have no wear and tear. I have no wear and tear, and I played it. You got age. Age is nothing but a number. Number. Yeah, and your number is high as hell.
Starting point is 00:42:34 I ain't number 56. I ain't number 56. You can't tell me I can't go play right now. Third down, you mean to tell me I can't go in third and three? You put me in the slot. You think I can't saw somebody up right now? Aren't you playing Madden? Madden?
Starting point is 00:42:48 Aren't you playing Madden? No, I ain't playing Madden. I'm talking about real life. No, I'm talking about real life. You play Madden on real life. What you don't even understand about me is what you don't get to see in the offseason
Starting point is 00:42:57 is I train with these fellas every year in the offseason as a DB. With Jamar Chase, with Stephon. I cover them boys. So I know I'm still able and willing to move and cover, transition, stop, start, right along with them. So if the opportunity presents itself, because I'm in such great shape, even at 56, I know I can go out there and compete. On special occasions, third downs, and I'd be can go out there and compete on special occasions,
Starting point is 00:43:26 third downs, and I'd be an animal right now for the Bengals, right now. The only special occasion you're competing for is Mother's Day, Father's Day, all the holidays. Those are the special occasions that you're going to be at. I don't like the fact that you don't believe in me.
Starting point is 00:43:41 You know what you sound like? You sound like my teacher in elementary school. She didn't believe in me either. She told me I would never amount to anything. Matter of fact, Mike Brown, Katie, Troy, twins, if you see this, please, if the opportunity presents itself, please just bring me into training camp. Just bring me into training camp so you can see what I look like. And you will notice, even though a decade plus removed from the game of football i still look the same i'm just as fast just give me a chance give me listen mike brown bring your man let him saw the movie rudy they gave rudy a chance yeah give ocho a chance i won't let you down
Starting point is 00:44:20 uh bring ocho in he's great he can talk to the young man let him know what to expect in the NFL get them how to manage the money and things of that nature do not bring Ocho in because Ocho cannot play in the NFL that's a lie
Starting point is 00:44:36 when preparation meets opportunity guess who shows up huh when opportunity comes knocking guess who's going gonna answer the door me you A we can still do nightcap
Starting point is 00:44:51 we can still do nightcap cause the Bengals play at 1 o'clock I'll be able to get on after the game Ocho you can't play I don't like that you saying that it's okay you have A I'm still well that you're saying that. I don't like that you're saying that. It's okay.
Starting point is 00:45:06 Hey, man, you were up with... I'm still well. That's what I'm talking about. I'm still well. I'm still well. Hey, no, you're pissing me off, man. Real shit. I can play, man. Bengals organization.
Starting point is 00:45:16 Zach Taylor, please. Just bring me into training camp. I just want to show up. You can cut me. Cut me after week one. I just want to put some film together. Ain't nobody taking 10 years off from a sport that's as
Starting point is 00:45:29 physical as the game of football. Ain't going to go back out there. You're not doing it. You call that shit they're doing out there right now physical? I played against the Steelers and the Ravens twice a year. That's physical. You can't even hit nobody today.
Starting point is 00:45:45 You know what I had to do with no injuries. And you can't go out there today. So that's even. Even Steven. Look at this. Imagine this again on Sunday out there right now.
Starting point is 00:45:57 What you talking about, baby? Let's go. Man, I thought that was all about. I thought that was all about. Let's go. Now, you know what? They're going. I thought that was all of them. Let's go. Now, you know what? They're going to bring me in just because of this. Just because you said I can't do it,
Starting point is 00:46:09 they're going to bring me in just to prove you wrong. Ocho. Maybe, you know what? If you was like a year removed, two years back, I'd say, you know what, Ocho? You're right. I've been hyping you up. I'd say, man, you need to give Ocho a chance.
Starting point is 00:46:22 You talk about a year removed. I never removed myself from the up. I said, man, you need to get Ocho a chance. You talk about a year removed. I never removed myself from the NFL. I never stopped training. I've been training the past decade just in case that call comes because you never know.
Starting point is 00:46:33 I'm always prepared. I'm always ready. Let me ask you a question. How'd it come? That's because the opportunity to present itself because I didn't put myself out there. It ain't going to present itself.
Starting point is 00:46:43 It ain't presenting itself. It is. For the last decade, you've been waiting on a call to come. No, I didn't present itself because I didn't put myself out there. It ain't going to present itself. It ain't presenting itself. It is. I was doing... For the last decade, you've been waiting on a call. No, I didn't say it. I didn't say I was waiting on the call. I said I didn't put myself out there
Starting point is 00:46:53 to let them know that, you know what? My services are available like J.J. Watt. You know what I'm saying? I made the call. You ain't put yourself out there, but I made the call.
Starting point is 00:47:04 You know what? I'm making the call right now because they're going out there, but I made the call. You know what? I'm making the call right now because they're going to see this. They're going to see this. No, we're going to edit this out. Hey, that's funny. They're not going to see this. I bet the chat believe in me.
Starting point is 00:47:23 No, the chat don't believe in you. No, the chat don't believe in me. No chat believe in you. No chat believe in you. McLaren driver Lando Nars added his name to list the Formula One race winners with a sensational breakthrough victory Sundays at Miami Grand Prix overhauling Red Bull's driver
Starting point is 00:47:41 Max Verstappen. That was nice. My experience, obviously, I went to F1 with the missus. It was awesome. I thought, I didn't go Saturday, I thought Sunday would be the best thing for me to get there
Starting point is 00:47:56 and watch the race. Being my second time going to F1, I was able to attend it last year. This year, on behalf of Heineken, everyone at Heineken, I thank you for the opportunity. I thank you for the opportunity. I thank you for the hospitality. Nick Christ, who's the head of Global
Starting point is 00:48:10 Partnerships at Crypto.com. Paul Horgan, who's a partner at Ryan Sports. I appreciate you guys for the hospitality and taking the time out to talk to me. I enjoyed it. I enjoyed it. When I saw it, I think it might have been lap 47,
Starting point is 00:48:28 when I saw Brother Norris had almost a four or five second lead. I knew at that point he was winning because there were only 11, 12 laps to go. The atmosphere, I'm not sure if you ever attended F1 before. The energy, the atmosphere is energetic. The fans are engaged throughout the entire time time especially when someone makes a good pass and the excitement from the fans and the clapping and
Starting point is 00:48:52 the cheering is is is uh it's phenomenal so if you haven't attended f1 you you have to do it that was my third time i was obviously i went to f1 in miami last year I was able to go in Vegas. Thank you again also to Las Vegas, to Las Vegas tourism. I can't remember the name exactly, but I thank you all for that opportunity and that experience. But F1 was phenomenal. Oh, it was phenomenal, man. Oh, it was phenomenal, man. They call it a rich man's sport. And when you're in that atmosphere and you're in that environment, I feel a little uncomfortable, you know, because you can see, you can smell the money,
Starting point is 00:49:35 if you know what I mean. You got, I'm not sure how many cars on the track, $20 million a car. I had someone explaining to me the prices of the cars. The engine by itself is like 500 grand. come on man what we doing somebody wrecked out there and the first thing i said that's 20 million dollars down the drain that's what it takes about a year to run those cars about 20 million dollars the steering wheel is 100 grand,000 what do we do?
Starting point is 00:50:06 and the tires, you think about how many sets of tires they go through in the course of the year and how you build those cars to dissipate so they basically disintegrate take all that energy away from the driver yeah
Starting point is 00:50:21 I was going to go Ocho but I got I'm all over the place the next 10 days. So, I was like, ain't no way I can do Miami because I already got to do Philly, Indy, Atlanta, New York, Houston, all in the next 10 days. Yeah, but listen, if you need me to come with you, man, I have no problem.
Starting point is 00:50:38 I, you know, keep you company and you know, I could be right there on your side as your biggest supporter and biggest cheerleader. So, if you need me, let me know. I got Miles, Spirit, Flyers, all the places that you just mentioned. Well, I think next week you're going to be in New York with me. What are we doing in New York? Well, that's news to me.
Starting point is 00:50:59 You're breaking the news to me. What are we doing in New York? Well, I guess they've been talking to Rail. Rail? So I'm sure Rail will fill you in. Wait, I guess they've been talking to Rail. Rail? I'm sure Rail will fill you in. Wait, this is Nightcap, Uncle Ocho. How you just adding a third party? Featuring Rail.
Starting point is 00:51:15 Look at this one here. She just comes. She was in the streets. She just coming in the streets with her girls. We going to New York, Uncle. Hey, Uncle. Yeah. What's up, Rail? How you doing? How was F1 today? We're going to New York. Hey. Yeah. Well, how you doing? How was that one today?
Starting point is 00:51:30 I had to bring him along, but it was a habit. Yeah. The volume. Wake up with football every morning and listen to my new podcast, The Volume. Every single week, but I can't do it alone, so I'm bringing in all the big guns from NFL media like Colleen Wolfe. Subscribe today and you'll immediately be smarter and funnier than your friends.
