Hey.
J.P. is out on show.
Yes, sir. Caleb Williams is ahead of the learning curve with the Bears.
In a report out of Chicago, Bears offensive staff was so pleased with how well prepared Caleb Williams was learning this week's lesson in minicamp.
Bears QB coach Kerry Joseph coming into the minicamp.
He was light-year ahead of the information that he already had.
He's one of those guys that wants to know why last night.
Probably around 10, 30, 11 o'clock, he texted me.
Hey, why are we doing this here?
Why are we blocking it like this?
He just wants to know.
He wants to know those answers.
So when you have a guy like that that's hungry for it,
you love to know that because now he becomes a coach on the field.
I like it.
That's what you got to be.
That's what you have to be.
That's why you took him number one.
They said he was a generational talent.
And I'm not sure why they're surprised.
I mean, you shouldn't be surprised because that's why you took him.
And matter of fact,
if he's a student of the game like that
and he's asking questions like that,
imagine what you could get on the field.
Imagine what it would put both of those together
when you put the classroom
and the physical tools
that you displayed in college together
with elite talent surrounding you.
That's not even a joke. with elite talent surrounding you. Mm-hmm. The Bears organization,
if they do right by Caleb Williams,
he will be the first quarterback
that they've had
that they did right by.
Mm-hmm.
The first quarterback
that they've had
that they did right by.
Think of all the quarterbacks
that have come through there
for the Bears.
All of them.
There has not been
one franchise quarterback
that has been elite
to the capacity of a
Patrick Mahomes
or Joe Burrow
or Lamar Jackson.
I mean...
For the longest time,
no disrespect to Jim McMahon.
No disrespect.
No.
But for the longest time,
they played to their defense.
So they said, we can get away with a marginal longest time, they played to their defense. So they said,
we can get away with a marginal quarterback
as long as we have outstanding defense.
They're known as the monsters of the midway
for a reason.
That's what they did with Rex.
Remember Rex Grossman?
Yes.
Oh, the defense that year
when they went to Super Bowl?
Oh, my God.
Erlacher and Briggs and Peanut.
Yeah.
Oh, they were phenomenal.
Mm-hmm.
Tommy Harris. Yeah. Hey, Big Tommy. Yeah. Oh, it was phenomenal. Mm-hmm. Tommy Harris.
Yeah.
Hey, Big Tommy.
Yeah.
I forgot about Big Tommy.
And so that's what happens.
But the great players, and the thing is,
when you're dealing with great players,
you got to have answers.
Yeah.
They need to, he asking why.
Mm-hmm.
I just needed to know, okay, we doing it like, well,
this doesn't seem like a great, needed to know, okay, we're doing it like, well, this doesn't seem like a great.
Because to me, the thing that I had to get out of is like, at some point in time, Sheldon, you can't always just run the route for you to get open.
Right.
You got to run a route to get somebody else open.
Because, you know, I'm thinking, hey, hey, if I did it right here, I'm going to be open.
We're not trying to get you open on this.
Right.
We're trying to get him open.
We're trying to get him open.
Or why am I blocking it like this?
Why don't I take this guy?
Because that guy's got you man.
So when you block it like this
he's going to come
and then you're going to leave
and we're going to dump it to you
and you're going to get that safety.
If you make the safety miss
you might hit your head on the goal post.
Those are things that you needed to know.
I needed to know why we're doing it.
Because the hell I'm out here
all this practicing that issue need to make sense to know. I needed to know why we're doing it. Because the hell I'm out here all this practicing,
that issue need to make sense to me.
Right. Hey, you know
what I really like, though? That's really dope that they talk
about Caleb Williams asking those questions like that
because as a quarterback,
he has a vision. He has a vision
of the game. Coach is coach, but play is play.
So if he's doing something and
there's something that's familiar to him and they're
running a different way than what he's opposed or used to seeing,
maybe the way he wants to run it or maybe the suggestion he might have
might make it a little easier.
Yeah.
Well, you always cater to the…
Sometimes coaches, even though it's X's and O's,
sometimes they complicate shit.
I'm just going to be honest to you.
Sometimes they complicate things when it's not that hard
it doesn't have to be that hard
when you simplify stuff and allow players to play fast
especially a quarterback who has to process
things very very fast
simplify it
so he can play at his best
well I want to play in his wheelhouse
what are you comfortable with
what do you like to do
you like under the center you like under the center? You like the gun?
Mm-hmm.
My thing is, like,
I'm going to build a system
for the players,
but I'm not going to force
the players to play
in this system.
Yeah, that's a good one.
And far too many times,
well, this is my system,
this is what we do.
Well, your system sucks
because your players
don't comprehend it
and they're doing
too much thinking.
Right.
You want guys to just
go play free.
Mm-hmm.
And if guys play free, they can play fast.
And when guys play fast, great things happen.
Yes, they do.
And so I'm a firm believer that you put a guy,
okay, what does he do really well?
Okay, fine.
Guy don't run outrides well.
Why the hell you run him on an outride just because the outrides?
Hey, put him on a dig.
Put him on a comeback.
That's what's so important for
offensive coordinators to understand
your players the best and understand their
weaknesses and their strengths and always
put them in position to win.
That's why it's so important
when you get certain players like your Stephon Diggs,
your Jamar Chases,
your Justin Jeffersons,
the elite talents that can do damn near everything under the sun,
under the umbrella.
And coaches don't have to hide them offensively.
They don't have to condense splits to get them open
just to get the DBs to back off.
Because you know what?
We got to condense the splits.
We got to put them in motion because they can't beat press.
They can't beat man-to-man.
So they find ways for you to get open.
The better you are as a receiver coming out of college, going into the NFL, the easier you make everyone
else in job around you, including your officer coordinator. And when you are like that skilled
and can do that many more things, like when we were talking about Cat earlier, with Cat being
a Swiss army knife, if you're a receiver and you're a Swiss Army knife and you go into the league,
they could do that much more with you.
Yes.
Because you can do everything.
The playbook opens up
sub-
Wait, how do you say that word?
Substantially.
Substantially.
If you can do all other things
and he doesn't have to help you.
Yep.
I'm trying to use big words.
I don't even know how to say them.
That's fellow O them. That's
fellow Ocho. That's fellow
Cinco. Yeah.
The Lions are reportedly ready to commit to
Jared Goff as their franchise quarterback
moving forward. ESPN's Jeremy
Fowler reported that Goff is next in line among
quarterbacks to strike a long-term deal.
The market is pretty clear. You're looking at
$50-plus million for a lot
of these quarterbacks per year. Goff
is set to make $22.3
in base salary next season.
He's already earned a $5 million roster
bonus. His total cash earnings for
2024 rank him 17th among
quarterbacks. Goff's new contract
should put more than double
what he's expected, 2024 earnings
on a yearly basis. Jalen Hurts,
Lamar Jackson, Justin Herbert, Joe Burrow
all have signed deals for more than
$50 million per over the last year.
Woo!
The market,
it always resets itself when it's time for a quarterback
to get paid. Jared Goff has
proved himself. The Rams didn't want him.
I don't think...
Let me see. I don't think they didn't want him.
They didn't think they could't want him they didn't think
they could win
a Super Bowl with him
because he's a good quarterback
yeah he was
yeah he was a good quarterback
but obviously
if you move on from him
that means they don't want you
if you
if you got a girlfriend
and she leave you
because
she don't think
you will marry her
and she go to somebody else
that means she don't want you
no matter how you splice it
they don't want him
what she
what she wanted
what I could give her see what Jared Goff could give them that means she don't want you. No matter how you splice it. They didn't want him. What she wanted,
what I could give her,
see, what Jared Goff could give them and what they wanted
are two different things.
She might want me,
but I've been told,
Shannon,
you ain't trying to get married.
Oh, hell no.
Somebody told you that, Unc?
Yeah.
See, they, You know what?
And guess what?
And guess what?
Yes, sir.
She went and got married.
Oh, she did?
Yeah.
She got a kid.
I'm happy for you.
You know, I'm happy too,
but you know what?
What?
I call that settling.
I call that settling.
Because all you're doing
is you want to get married,
but the person you want to marry you
isn't willing to do it,
so you're going to go find the person that is.
Which means you're just settling
for the person that's willing to do it
and not the one you really want.
Man, let's argue. Let's argue,
Chad. Look, my thing is
Ocho. Come on, man. Ocho,
I can't, if somebody said, if I can't
give somebody something, I got to be honest with them
and let them go find it.
Isn't that what you want?
If somebody says,
hey, Ocho, I like you,
but I don't want no relationship.
So, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
How you going to tell me you like me
and you don't want no relationship?
Because she might be trying
to go get to law school.
She might be trying
to become a doctor.
I could put you
through law school.
No,
she said,
you know what,
because I'm not going
to call you every day.
I don't want to talk to you
because I need to study.
I need to focus.
Okay.
Because this is very important.
Right, right, right.
Just like you,
just like you,
your football thing.
Maybe I got to study the play.
Maybe I got to train.
I got to watch this film.
Oh, it's one thing about me.
I'm understanding, huh?
That's one of my greatest assets.
I'm understanding
and I'm a listener.
I'm a listener first.
So if you busy,
you got things going on,
I don't have no problem with that.
I'm not going to get in the way
because I don't want you
getting in the way of what I do.
I'm understanding.
I believe that.
But I like where you're going with this.
This is good.
This is good for people in the chat.
This is real good for people in the chat.
But like I said,
but I thought, look, he took him to a Super Bowl.
Yeah.
But taking you somewhere
and winning something is totally different
because we've seen guys get to that level.
Yeah. And you see
Stafford come in, first year,
boom. Yeah, right away.
I saw Stafford come in first year right
away and cheat the Bengals on that
goddamn four down call because Logan Wilson
that wasn't no goddamn hole on Cooper Cup. But anyway.
That was.
Hold it.
Oh, Eli Apple.
Oh, you're talking about that play
okay
okay that one
hold it
hold it
he rapped it
rapped it
I'm talking
hey I'm talking about that
I'm talking about that
that four down
I thought when he read
that text
he crossed his face
he got it
ah
nah
nah
Logan read that real well
but okay
you can't
I can't cry over spilled milk.
Because we going to... Hey, you know where the Bengals
going to be at in February?
In New Orleans.
In Cincinnati.
In New Orleans.
In Cincinnati eating chili
with all them fine women.
Hey, that's on Messy Maya.
That's on Messy Maya.
I guarantee the Bengals
be in New Orleans for Super Bowl.
I'm telling you.
I mean, I've been a couple of them from that area, so I'm sure they will be there in the Super Bowl. I'm telling you. I mean, I've been a couple of them
from that area, so I'm sure they will be there
for the Super Bowl. All right.
You don't want to bet none.
Matter of fact, no, I ain't going to make no bets right now.
I'm already in the hole.
Yeah, when you going to pay up?
Hey, Ojo, check this out.
Deontay Wilder
is concerned for Mike Tyson and Jake Paul
fight. God forbid he gets hurt. Deontay Wilder is concerned for Mike Tyson in the Jake Paul fight. God forbid he
gets hurt. Deontay Wilder knows
a thing or two about knockouts. The last thing he
wants to see is Mike Tyson on the
receiving end of one. When the fight night
comes around July 20th, it will mark
more than 20 years since Mike Tyson's most
recent probe out. Just 10 days shy
of Mike Tyson's 58th birthday.
Wilder said, I think it's
a bad, I think it's bad the commission has licensed Mike Tyson
because he hasn't been active in 20 years.
So they should not license him
because who is he?
Because of who he is.
That's how people get hurt.
God forbid he gets hurt.
If Paul comes in there
and knocks Mike out,
that's going to tarnish
the reputation of Mike.
I don't want the last thing
I remember of him
is getting knocked out by a YouTuber.
Hey, you know what?
I understand where Deontay Wilder's coming from.
Mike hasn't been in the ring in 20 years.
I think the only issue for Mike is
that I'm worried about is really not age.
It's the youthfulness that Jake has on him
and the conditioning. The conditioning. That's the onlyfulness that Jake has on him and the conditioning, the conditioning. That's
the only thing I'm worried about. The conditioning, how much running can you do to be in shape to
fight two minute, eight rounds? That's all I care about. Because if you come out and you exert too
much energy early, you're going to get tired. And if you get tired early and you punch yourself out,
then it can get dangerous.
Now, at that point,
it can get dangerous.
Or you can come out
and apply pressure on Jake,
who isn't familiar
or had the ring IQ,
or to be able to handle pressure
at that kind of level
with that kind of experience
in front of him
or that kind of power.
Now, I think it could get dangerous for him.
It's all on what type of game they play once they enter the ring.
Now,
for one,
Jake is going to be cautious and he's going to be on his bicycle.
He's going to be cautious and he's going to be on his bicycle.

Jordan Rodrigue from The Athletic, and of
course, Colleen Wolfe. This is their

they trade him away?
Because he would be a pivotal
part of them winning that
Super Bowl. I don't know why, Colleen.

You know Tyson can cut the ring off.
Oh, you already know what he's going to do.
He's going to have the high guard.
He's coming in, coming in, coming in,
bobbing, bobbing, bobbing. And boy, look at him.
Man, look at him.
Do you think he would take it more serious
than he took the Roy Jones fight?
Absolutely.
Because I think when he fought Roy,
they had a kumbaya moment
in understanding,
I'm not trying to hurt you.
We're going to get in here.
We're going to entertain
and get our ass up out of here healthy.
Roy said, hey, I'm going to let him hit my mama's son
with that right hand.
Oh, no.
Oh, no.
But listen, with Jake, you never know.
What happened?
What Mike are we going to get?
What if Jake hit Mike the wrong way and pissed Mike off?
What you think is going to happen?
What you think is going to happen? What you think's going to happen
even at 57, 58 years old
with that kind of power still?
He ain't never felt that kind of power.
No, not at all.
You can't even train for that kind of power
even at 57.
Yeah.
You can't.
Yeah, it's going to feel like a mule kicking you.
Yeah.
Anybody's ever been kicked by a horse?
You got to think about it.
Mike is short.
He's compact.
Legs.
Powerful.
Man, when Mike Tyson sits on a punch,
whether it's that uppercut
or whether it's that goddamn hook,
even if your guard is up and you block it,
it's going to make you think twice.
Well, you know,
you know his favorite punch
is the hook to the body
and then coming through the guard.
You know that's his punch.
Now, he going to double tap you now.
Yeah.
Now, if he touch you,
it's out.
You out.
Hey.
It's going to be,
hey, it's,
what?
Hey, I'm telling you.
I've been in that ring that one time
and I got
caught when I was tired
in that fourth round and I went down.
Boy.
When that jaw opened up.
Boy.
You got tired.
Your mouth starting to droop.
You don't see that punch.
My hand's down.
The funny thing about it, I've seen
the punch coming from a mile
away because he's winding up.
But I'm so tired, I can't even
move.
I couldn't even move.
That's why when I got knocked down, that's why I got up
so fast. I got up so fast because I could
see it coming and he hit me
and I'm like, damn, I'm going down.
Before I hit the ground, I was
trying to get up.
Because the body,
I couldn't operate. I couldn't move.
But see, that's what you got. Ocho, you got to stay down there.
You don't get up that quick because your equilibrium might be off.
Ocho, you take the six.
You take the six.
One, two, three, four.
Boy, if you don't get your black ass up off that goddamn canvas,
embarrass me like this.
Hey, you stand there, you look at it, walk to me.
Walk to me, walk to me, Ochoa.
You walk to him, let him wipe the gloves off.
You're like, I'm good, let's go.
No, sir.
No, sir.
You heard what I told you, right?
My mama had, we fought in July, right?
My mama had passed away in January. Right. I went and seen my mama the we fought in july right my mama had passed away in january right i went and
my mama the night before the fight i went to the graveyard i went to the cemetery i say mama
listen mama i done fought all my life but i never been in a structured environment inside a ring
with a fighter that fights for a living but i'm finna get in here because you know your son is
crazy and i'm willing to try anything.
I'm willing to try anything.
Man, I got, in my, I only
had two weeks to get ready. Mayweather told me
late. I only had two weeks to get
ready, so I got ready in Houston with the Charlo twins
who were also preparing for a fight.
Right. So I just did two days
for two weeks, so that's like a month worth of training,
but it's nothing like preparing for
a fight where you have three months to get ready.
So I just jumped in anyway.
You know, I'm crazy.
I can fight already in the streets.
You know, I get into it with somebody.
No, I ain't nothing,
but that ain't a little squabble.
We got to that fourth round
and I had moved myself on that bicycle
because I don't know how to engage
or operate with punches coming at me
because I've never been
in that situation before.
Right.
It's different in the ring.
In the street,
that's different.
In the ring,
so I'm moving.
I'm constantly moving.
So by the time we get
to the fourth round,
I done burned all my energy out.
You got down, bro.
You came all that bouncing.
That looked good.
That looked good on TV.
Oh, it looked good
in the first three rounds?
Boy, I thought I was
goddamn haggling.
What?
We got to that fourth round,
I couldn't even
hold my hands up no more.
My hands was down.
My hands was down.
Man, I saw Brian coming.
I made a little joke.
I threw a jab, right?
Oh, he threw something at me
and it barely touched my nose
and I hit him with one of those
Emmanuel Gustis, trying to be funny and I hit him with one of those Emmanuel Gustis
trying to be funny
and I'll tease him
and I did like this.
Man, the next punch,
man, I was on the floor.
The next punch,
I was on the floor
and I tried to get up so fast
because all I could think in my head was
I could hear my mama saying,
boy, if you don't get your black ass
up off that canvas
embarrassing me like this,
that's why I jumped up so fast.
And then, you know me,
I don't have the boxing mentality. I get
up. I got the football mentality. I'm
trying to dap him up because he hit me.
He looked at me like, boy, we in a fight,
man. What are you doing?
And we went back to it. Matter of fact,
Brian Maxwell, who asks a question sometimes.
Yeah. That's
him. That's who that is. That's him. That's who that is.
That was Brian.
That's who I fought.
Man.
Hey, that was a great experience.
You got to get in the ring, huh?
You got to fight somebody.
Mm-mm.
You got to.
Listen, you'll never know what it's like.
You think coming out in the stadium in front of 80,000,
everybody cheating your name, you think that's something?
Experience a ring walk.
Experience that ring walk and experience
the dude across from you with the
bell ring and he got that look in his eye
like he gonna knock your head off.
Ain't nothing like that, man.
Hey, Brian,
I know you in the chat, B. I appreciate
you getting our solution.
I like it.
I like it.
I like it. You got it. I like it.
You got hands, man.
Hey, man, I did it when I first got out here, man.
It's hard. Because you know I'm up there
because, okay, like put the time on three minutes.
Ocho, you know I'm bouncing around.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. You feeling good, huh?
I'm on the beat. Ha, ha, ha.
You know what I'm saying? Ha, ha, ha.
Yeah. Man, a minute and a half.
Oh, Joe.
The hands down.
He touched him.
Oh.
Oh, okay.
I touched him right there, didn't I?
Yeah, you got me.
Yeah.
Hey, come on.
Ha, ha, ha.
Whew.
The hands down.
What's up?
Yeah.
Hey.
It got to the point I can't hold my arms up man
first round huh
first round
you was out of there
yeah
yeah man
hey listen
that's why
when people ask
we've had this conversation
on Twitter all the time
we talk about some of the
most difficult sports
in the world
and I always say
boxing is the most difficult
because there's no time out
there's no time out
you ain't got nobody
to save you
if you gas out
if you punch yourself out
you got to protect yourself
and you got to do it on the other end
with trying to knock your head off
yes
and if you do get hit
you can't show no mercy
you got to have a polar face
at all times
conditioning is number one
your conditioning has to be
absolutely at its best
absolutely
at its best
because here's the thing, Ocho,
it's the breathing aspect.
Yes.
Because you got to learn how to breathe it.
You got to be able to control it
and breathe out your nose.
Because first thing,
they see this here,
oh, yeah, they get tired.
Oh, that's like being in the ocean
and you bleeding.
Oh, the sharks coming to get you.
Man, listen,
I was out there in Philly for three months.
Out there sparring with Jerron Ennis
with boots.
Boy, never again will I ever step in the ring like that,
man. Never again. Because
they your friends outside the ring.
They become someone
else once the bell rings.
Yeah, that's a different animal.
I'm looking through my head, you had boots.
I'm like, boy, that's me.
I know.
Once you step in this ring, it don't matter who you are.
It could be your mama.
Boy, you finna get this word.
Oh, yeah.
For sure.
I ain't been back in the ring with Boots ever since.
Yeah.
Never again.
But see, here's the thing.
A boxing match, you know in a street fight, street fight don't last that long.
Oh, no.
Oh, no. Because you throw a few punches, street fight don't last that long. Oh, no. Oh, no.
You throw a few punches, you're probably
going to lock up anyway. Yeah.
Yeah.
And the best thing is, hey, you feel tension,
get it off. Yeah.
Yeah.
You better get it off. You got to swing first.
Uh-uh. Uh-uh.
You don't let nobody close the distance. We had an argument.
You don't let nobody close the distance. We had an argument. You don't let nobody close the distance.
Anything in arm's length?
I'm going to be a mofo. I'm going to be an SOB.
I'm going to be all that over there.
Yeah.
But the minute you get in this airspace, okay.
Game on.
Yeah. You don't let nobody close the distance on you.
Y'all argue.
Man, I ain't no...
Bro, did you hear the tone in his voice?
Right, right, right, right.
The tone's going to tell you everything.
You know, Ojo, you know when a guy, hey, okay.
All right.
Yeah.
Hey, what it do is, okay.
You, I mean, if you ever been in a fight, you know,
you know when a guy real.
Yeah, you understand.
And you know, hey.
When a man tell you to stop playing,
say, bro, hey, I ain't about that.
Let that go.
It's easy to read body language.
Yes, for sure.
It's very easy to read body language.
Some people are immune to it and don't know.
There was a certain situation that happened in Golden State.
You know what I'm talking about?
I'm not going to say no names.
That's what I tried to say.
Read the body language. It's already
telling you what time it is.
Who let somebody... First of all,
I'm arguing with you.
Why in the hell would you let somebody
walk up on you?
You got to be...
Elementary school, where you go shoulder to shoulder,
you go round and round. Touch me again. Knock it off my shoulder.
Step over that line.
Bro,
you grown-ass man.
Bro,
y'all been arguing
way back over there.
He done cursed you out,
you done cursed him out.
Yeah.
Y'all way over there.
After a while,
you see him getting
closer and closer.
Yeah.
I'm already in my mind,
if he gets with an arm distance,
I'm going to drop the hammer on him you got to do something
especially if nobody's in between y'all
you got to do something
and you let the dude walk right up on you
walk right in your house
yeah
hey he in the kitchen
oh no man
like I said
I don't need to see
me
I ain't all about
the arguing
going back and forth
I'm like hey
let me go
let me go
last time I got
an argument
I was at the
movies
man do
oh so you know
at the movies
you know okay
when the previews
everybody talking
you know you can
hear them
okay
once the previews start curtain come down okay the lights go off Previews, they're talking. Everybody talking. Yeah, it's like, okay, okay, okay. You know, you can hear them. Okay.
Once the previews start, curtain come down.
Okay, the lights go out.
Okay, it's time to stop.
So he's still talking.
I said, oh, man.
Movie's starting.
Talking louder.
Bro, I said, bro, come on, bro.
Come on, bro.
I said, the movie's... Bro, you want to talk?
Go on outside.
You know, because
I'm not trying to raise my voice.
Right.
Bro, come on.
Oh, you being nice about it, too.
And I paid my money.
I do what I want to do.
Oh, man.
You have what to do, man.
So you know me. I would put on my Walter Johnson. I do what I want to do. Oh, man. You had one of your mind. Ocho, so you know me.
I went and put on my Walter Johnson.
I went and got the manager on his ass.
I said, excuse me.
Excuse me, y'all.
This gentleman right here.
I pointed to it.
Right, right, right, right, right.
I told him, yeah, I went and sniffed on his ass.
Yeah, yeah.
So he kept talking.
Oh, he kept talking after you let the people know?
Even after the manager came and left.
So you know what?
So check this out, Ocho.
I got me and my girl.
I said, come on, baby.
It ain't even worth it.
Right.
Man, so check this out, Ocho.
I'm walking.
Dude kicked the door open.
He come out there after.
Oh, no.
Oh, no.
I don't know what your problem is.
What do you want to do?
I ain't want to do nothing.
Hey, Uncle, you ain't square with him?
Oh, Joe, you know what I told him?
I said, bro, you don't want this medicine.
I said, it's called insomnia.
It's called dizziness.
And sometimes it's called death if taken in large quantities.
Right, right.
Bro, go on back in there.
So I told the lad, I said, man, I played it. They gave taken in large quantities. Right, right. Bro, go on back in there. So I told the last man,
I played it,
they gave me my money back.
Right.
I got me a Coke,
a large popcorn,
and a Twizzlers,
and I went home.
Okay, okay.
Listen,
you know what?
This is what I'm going
to do for you, right?
This is what I'm going
to do for you.
You need to take me,
when you travel,
you need to take me
as your security.
I could be your enforcer.
Listen,
Griselda Blanco had an enforcer. Pablo Escobar
had an enforcer. I could be your
enforcer. I like to
throw my hands. I like to throw my hands.
It ain't about the size.
Look at the size. Look how big my
fists are. For the most part,
when I go somewhere, people give
me love. I'm talking about
black, white, taking pictures, man, woman.
It don't matter.
It's always one.
Sometimes there's always one person.
Yeah, yeah, bro.
Okay.
I'm like, bro, I'm leaving.
I'm trying to diffuse the situation.
Right, right.
Why you got to follow me out of the movie theater to talk about what's up with me?
Right.
Bro, I done gone.
Clearly, I was annoyed by you talking during the movie theater to talk about what's up with me? Right. Bro, I done gone. Clearly,
I was annoyed by you
talking during the movie.
I hate that.
Yeah.
Me and the dude,
me and Fred Shimizu,
he worked camera three at CBS.
Uh-huh.
So we go to the movies.
I get in early,
we go to the movies.
Me and him go to the movies.
So we're laughing and talking,
movie start.
Okay, we be quiet.
He eating popcorn, I'm eating popcorn. Uh start. Okay, we be quiet.
He eating popcorn.
I'm eating popcorn.
The guy touched me.
How much longer you going to eat that?
I look at my bucket.
I show it to him.
Till it's gone.
What the fuck?
I said, what?
You don't want me to eat that?
Right. I said, man. So for me, O said, what? You don't want me to eat nothing? Right.
I said, man.
So for me, Ocho,
a lot of times,
most of the time,
like when I go to the movies,
I try to go like,
I go like four o'clock in the afternoon.
Ain't a whole lot of people there. Ain't nobody there.
Right, right.
Ain't nobody there.
Because man, people be,
people just be on one
and just be talking reckless and crazy.
So for me,
let me be in the movie theater,
it'd be like three of us in there.
I'm cool.
I'm sprawled out.
I got my popcorn.
I got big soda.
I got Twizzlers.
I'm just chilling.
I like it.
Matter of fact,
I'm laying down.
Hey, speaking of movie theaters,
when's the last time you've been to the drive-in?
It's been a minute now.
Last time I've been to the drive-in, you, I ain't been to... Last time I've been to the drive-in...
You hear that?
That's what I do.
Welcome to it.
That was in 1997.
Out there on the...
Hold on, let me look.
Wait, that's the last time
you've been to the drive-in?
Hey, hey, guys.
Y'all know if you're in Atlanta,
y'all know the drive-in on Moreland.
The federal penitentiary
is right across the street.
From the drive-in? Yeah. Hey, federal penitentiary is right across the street. From the drive-in?
Yeah! Hey, anybody from ATL, tell me I'm lying.
Is it still open? I don't know if it's still open.
Yeah, Moreland Avenue drive-in.
Oh, you know, I'm
going to ask you about
the last time you've been to drive-in and have you
do y'all have a Cinebistro?
You've been to Cinebistro.
Yeah, I've been to Cinebistro.
Oh, man.
I love that.
What's that one we got, Ash?
With the reclining chairs?
I-Pick.
We got I-Pick.
Okay, yeah.
We got I-Pick here, too.
We got Cinebistro and I-Pick.
They, the food, the menu for the food.
Oh, my goodness.
Oh, yeah.
Beautiful.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, Joe.
I bet you brought that one. You brought that drive-thru up.
Yeah.
Yeah, I...
That wasn't my fantasy.
Right.
You said whatever your fantasy is, let it happen.
I like that. I like that.
Every time I think about the drive-thru,
I went when I was young.
I don't know if they still have one in Miami or in Fort Lauderdale, anywhere. But I always think about the drive-thru. I went when I was young. I don't know if they still have one in Miami or in Fort Lauderdale
or anywhere, but I always think about the movie
Grease. I always think about the movie
Grease and them being at the drive-in. I think
that would be a great date.
A great date. I don't know.
I don't think they got them in California
anymore. You might have to go to some small
country town. Small place, yeah.
When we first started,
they used to have the speaker that you hang in the window of your car. In the place, yeah. When we first started, like, they used to have the
speaker that you hang in the window of your car.
In the window, yeah, yeah.
Then you could put it through your radio.
Put that thing through the radio.
You know, drive to back.
You know?
Oh, man. They got it where?
They got drive-thrus
in L.A.? Or they got drive-thrus in L.A.?
Wait, what? You know what I mean?
Anybody in the chat?
I got to get a rental.
You old shag gonna get him a rental.
I'm gonna get me a rental.
Get me old Suburban or Alcalay with them old photos.
Right, right, right.
With them old cap.
No, I need a bent seat.
I need a bent seat.
You know what I'm saying?
I don't want you on the long bent seat.
Yeah, I know exactly what you're talking about.
I know exactly what you're talking about. I know exactly what you're talking about.
Mm-hmm.
Down in
Paramount Drive-In.
Oh, hold on. Who done touched
Jessup? Yeah, they used to have a drive-in
at Jessup. Absolutely. Who know
about that? And they had one in Hinesville. Used to have
two in Hinesville. And they had
one in Vidalia. Had one in Claxton. Had one in Hinesville. Used to have two in Hinesville. And they had one in Vidalia. Had one in Claxton.
Had one in Statesboro.
Oh, Swap Shop.
Swap Shop.
Swap Shop.
They said they got one
in Swap Shop
in Fort Lauderdale.
Yeah.
Man, Ocho,
you got me reminiscing.
You know,
you got me reminiscing.
Hey, it's back in the day.
Matter of fact,
it's The Minions.
I mean, I know you don't
watch cartoons.
I love The Minions. The Minions have a new movie coming out. Yeah, I like The Minions. I mean, I know you don't watch cartoons. I love The Minions.
The Minions have a new movie coming out.
Yeah, I like The Minions.
No, I'm going to see Planet of the Apes.
Planet of the Apes is out already, ain't it?
Yeah, it came out the 10th.
Yeah, I need to go check that out.
I need to go check that out.
Now, I want to watch that
at the Cinebistro,
but I want to see The Minions.
I want to see The Minions
at a drive-in.
Yeah, I want to see.

Ocho, rate Granny's boxing technique.
Uh-oh.
Let me see.
Let me see.
Let me see.
Oh, good head movement.
Look at Granny.
Oh, Granny got that thing.
Look at the head movement.
Ooh.
Yeah.
Hey, she used to box for real. You can tell. Yeah, you can tell. Absolutely, you can tell. Hey, she used the box for real.
You can tell.
Yeah, you can tell.
Absolutely, you can tell.
Hey, ooh.
Ooh.
Ooh, let that thing go.
Look at Granny.
Look at Granny. Look at Granny.
Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.
Oh, yeah.
Look at Granny.
Man, y'all better stop playing with Granny.
Y'all better stop playing with Granny. Y'all better stop playing with Granny.
There you go.
Granny turning them things, too.
Granny turning them things over.
Wop, wop.
Ooh.
Ooh, no.
Oh, uppercut.
Smooth with it.
Yum.
That thing nice.
You see how she turn that thing on?
Hey, that's how you know she used to box.
Everything is real.
It's in tight.
Everything tight.
Everything compact. Ain't nothing wasted. Oh in tight. Everything tight. Everything compact.
Ain't nothing wasted.
Oh, yeah, she nice.
She nice.
Look at her head moving.
Oh, get up under that thing.
Hey, I know she used to put them through hell, boy,
doing her hunting.
Yeah.
Hey, y'all better write it.
Hey, hate to be the one to try to touch Granny back in the day
with Granny on the team.
They Granny put pop, pop, pop.
Little fat.
What's up?
J.D. Sott, did you ever have a gender reveal like this?
Let me see.
Let me see.
Let me see.
Let me see.
Let me see.
I got 211 kids.
They never had no gender reveal.
Damn!
What the hell kind of shot was that?
What the fuck how you miss the whole goal bro hey man listen first first off first off first off
ladies i i need y'all to be very very conscious of of who you procreate with
like come on man like. Like, if...
Remember back in the day
when you used to take your girl with you to the park
when you used to go hoop with your boys?
Damn.
Like, ain't no athleticism, no, no.
So now you passing that off to the child.
Oh, Joe, he got...
Hold up.
How you got a goal in your yard
and you that bad?
He can't shoot.
Man, come on, man. He tripping, man.
Matter of fact, whoever
let him get them
pregnant knowing he can't shoot.
So now you finna have a child
with no athletic ability.
Oh, he can shoot.
Oh, he can shoot.
Ladies, be very
conscious. Be very conscious of who
you have a child with. I'm just in case.
Damn!
No!
That was terrible.
He missed the whole goal.
He didn't hit the backboard.
How you hit the backboard?
Ladies, take your man to Dave & Buster's, man.
Take your dude to Dave & Buster's.
Go bowling.
Do all the things and make sure he has some type of athleticism.
So when you have a child, just in case your child wants to play sports,
they ain't got two left feet.
I ain't been bowling in a while.
You know how to bowl, Ocho?
Oh, boy, I bowled multiple 300s now.
Just bad they never bowled a 200. I bowled multiple 300s now. Yes, man. They never bowled a 200.
I bowled multiple 300s now.
Hey, listen.
When I tell you I do everything and do it well, yeah, man.
I was on the PGA Tour in 93.
I was on the PGA Tour in 93.
No, the PBA.
I said PBA.
The PGA is golf.
Oh, my bad.
The PBA is bowling.
Okay, you know I be mixing stuff up sometimes.
I be talking too fast.
I be talking too fast.
But I was on the PBA Tour in 93.
Okay.
Yeah.
So who you be?
You be Pete Webber Jr.?
Walter Ray Williams?
Who do you think you are?
I am me.
That's Pete Webber Jr.? Yeah, that's my dog.
I used to train him.
I used to train him.
That's where he got the phrase from.
Who do you think you are?
Yeah,
that's me.
I beat you bowling. I know that for sure.
No, no, no. Ask Chris Paul
who taught him how to bowl.
Ask Chris Paul who taught him how to bowl. Ask Chris Paul who taught him how to bowl.
Sure.
Nah.
I call it right now.
Devounce for me.
It's what I do, man.
Look at my technique.
Hold on.
Look at my technique.
Look at my technique.
I don't know.
Hell nah.
Bad boy, did you see?
Boy, that's a gutter ball all day.
That's a gutter ball.
Hey, well, that was, hey,
I hit all, how many pins
out there, 12?
10. Oh, 10? Yeah.
I hit all 10 of them right there.
That was a strike.
The way your elbow left your side,
I already know that. Oh, no, no. That's the strike. The way your elbow left your side, I already know that thing going to the gutter.
Oh, no, no.
That's the curve.
That's the curve.
That's how you get the curve.
Hey, it's a technique to it.
It is.
You ain't got it.
Most people bowl straight ahead.
When I bowl, I put my elbow out.
When I put my elbow out, that's what creates the curve on the ball like this.
You see that?
See that right there?
No. That right there creates the curve. You start with the curve. Ocho that? See that right there? No.
You start with the curve.
Ocho, you start with it in.
Right.
I start with it in.
Listen, this is my technique.
I'm telling you my technique.
Now stay with me.
Okay.
Okay.
I'm staying with you.
Go ahead.
I approach.
I approach.
I'm tucked in.
Everything tucked in.
Right.
My eye's down the lane now. Okay. And then... Okay. On my approach, I'm tucked in. Everything's tucked in. My eyes down the lane now.
Okay. And then
on my approach, I take
three steps. Once I
put my plant foot in the ground,
I extend back,
I release, but on the
release, I put my
elbow out. No, let me see.
Let me see you release. How you reach back.
Let me see how you reach back. Watch it.
Watch it. Watch the technique now.
Watch the technique. I'm watching. I'm looking. I'm looking.
Stay with me.
Stay with me, dad.
Hold on.
Hold on. I'm trying to show you step by step.
Yeah.
No.
That's how I create
That's how I create that curve
Like Ocho
This
This
Right
Yeah
Come through
Yes sir
And when I let go
I just stick my arm out
So I get the
So I get the whip
So I get the curve on the ball
That's gonna be a together
Mike Collins said Uncle Ocho Y'all should do movie reviews on Friday.
Actually, Mike, we're going to start doing movie reviews.
Stevie said, I can't tell if Sharp is wearing a T-shirt
or has a Tasmanian Devil tattoo.
Actually, that is a Tasmanian Devil T-shirt.
Nah, Mike, Me and men,
I can't take that kind of pain, all that.
Them needles.
That ain't gonna work for me, bro. I'm sorry.
Simon's 097

KB said,
I lost my job and my sister last month,
so I don't have extra cash to blow.
Hold your head high, King. You and Ocho brought plenty of smiles through a lot of tears.
Let Ocho think also.
Think also. Ocho.
Yo. Man, KB, bro.
That's tough. That's tough. KB. Bro, that's tough.
That's tough.
Sorry about your sister, first and foremost.
You could always get another job.
Yeah.
My condolences, baby.
My condolences.
Yeah, I'm terribly, terribly sorry about your loss.
Like you said, keep your head high.
Keep believing.
Sunshine follows rain.
Mm. Hey, you know what I'm happy about? Yes. leaving, sunshine follows rain.
You know what I'm happy about?
Yes. I'm happy about
how far I've come in such
a short amount of time with my
basketball knowledge.
Yeah, you just got to work it.
I felt like goddamn Richard Jefferson tonight.
I just want to
pat myself on the back because I had
Knicks fans were killing me.
They were killing me
the other night because I think
I messed up on some stuff when I asked them about
what round they had been
in or how far they had gotten.
Because I didn't know. So they were killing me.
They were killing me. But I
bet they can't say nothing now.
