In other news, wide receiver
room in the NFL, more star power for the Miami Dolphins.
The team just agreed for a one-year deal with Odell Beckham Jr.,
adding him to a position group that already features five-time All-Pro Tyreek Hill
and Jalen Waddle, who posted three, since his rookie season,
three straight 1,000-yard seasons to start a career.
The deal is worth $3 million with incentives that can push the max value
to 8.25.
Hill and Waddle have been the most productive
wide receivers tandem since joining forces
in 2022.
But no receiver behind those two
has eclipsed 32 catches
in either of the past two seasons.
Miami reliance on this star duo
became apparent late in the season
when both Hill and Waddle battled through injuries. an NFL insider reported Chiefs were appealing to wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.
money wasn't right money wasn't right over there with the Miami Dolphins they were probably trying
to penny pinch they were trying to penny pinch so what what made more sense to me to me well
you get you can get more here down in Miami. Obviously, we have no tax.
And then the offense, I'm not saying we have packed them home,
but we do have a quarterback by the name of Tua,
who is a Samoan warrior, who is efficient as well
when it comes to throwing the ball, as you can look
and see what Jalen Waddell and Tyreek have done
since they've been with him.
You add Odell Beckham, who is still very, very, very good at what he does to that offense,
who will probably play in the slot most of the time and will dominate short, intermediate routes.
And on short, intermediate routes, if you watch Odell throughout the years,
he can still hit his head off the goalpost from anywhere on the field.
Shallow routes, slant routes.
He can go deep still.
So I'm excited.
I'm excited.
Now, that offense just got a little bit scary
because there's nothing wrong with Odell at all.
Obviously, he played with the Ravens last year.
But injuries have robbed him.
He's not the same guy, Ocho.
He hasn't had a thousand yard season since 2018.
But he's not used in a way where he can put up those type of numbers as well.
Now, we have to remember that as well.
Well, how is he going to do that?
I'm not saying he needs to put up a thousand.
I'm saying he's still.
Listen, let me say something real quick.
And this is what I'll do.
Respect everybody.
80% Odell Beckham, even with the injuries,
is better than 90% of what we have in the NFL at receiver right now.

My grandma never took it off.

but they used to have a band.
People older, probably my age, understand.
It was crystal flicks, so you could twist the band.
It was just like rubber band, but it was like a metal.
And it had big numbers, it light, you know,

She told my sister,
she said, this necklace and this watch go
in the ground with me. And we buried
her wishes,
we buried her in it. So that was
probably the greatest gift I've ever given
somebody because of what
it meant, how she
reacted when she received it right

seeing their faces and smile.

So those are special moments
