Starting point is 00:00:00 I hate gift giving and receiving. Receiving gifts is so weird. What do you say thank you? This is Coffee Convo's with Kale Lowry and Lindsey Chrisley. I really want you to be in your feels, Kale. That does not interest me whatsoever. I feel very attacked by you. A spirited discussion about motherhood, friendship, family, and life in the public eye.
Starting point is 00:00:18 I'm just not with the fakery anymore. There's a fakery bakery around here. Here's Kailin Lindsay. Good morning. Welcome to coffee combos podcast from my ex husband's house. Oh, this is not your house. No. Okay. I have like footballs and shit in my bookshelves. I didn't notice that they were footballs. But I also thought that I was like, wow, she really set up her new house very quickly. So okay, so you're at Willard's. Yes, I am. How are we doing?
Starting point is 00:00:49 Um, we're hanging in there. We got, um, you know what life is life being really hard. Life is definitely life being really hard. I was just having that conversation with Kristin. When everything goes wrong. Everything's wrong. Everything goes wrong 100%. It's like, go hard or or it's not worth the fuckery, right? Isaac started high school this morning. And so I went over to Joe's to send him off because it's Joe's week and I cannot believe that I have someone in high school. I have a story
Starting point is 00:01:20 about starting ninth grade. I was so scared. It was the only year that I was in like public high school was in ninth grade. And I don't know what my parents were thinking, but they immediately were like, this is not working and pulled us out. And all of us started going to private school when I was in 10th grade. So the youngers, I think one of them was in first grade and one was in kindergarten when they started private school Ma'am, I have never been so traumatized in a hallway Then public high school first of all wait, so your K through eight. Did you go to private school? No, I was a public school girl. So you started private school in high school, which is I feel like more terrifying than going to private school as a child.
Starting point is 00:02:06 So what was your, what was the story with high school? Were you crying? Cause I was. Oh, I was absolutely just traumatized. I mean, I was in public school before that. It was just a completely different experience. It was a very large high school. I think we had a class of maybe a thousand freshmen, which is just big.
Starting point is 00:02:30 I never used my locker because I was scared to go down the hallway. That's number one. So I carried all of my books and everything in my backpack. What were you scared of? Like the kids? People and things. Like there was random stuff that just would happen,
Starting point is 00:02:42 like girl fights in the cafeteria boys fighting in the hallway Principal got beat up Drugs going on in the bathroom like all different kinds of stuff. So my parents were like absolutely not After this year you're out. So we applied to private school and it's a whole thing like you have to do an entrance exam and then you get scores back and then you apply to all of the local private schools. Several of us got into all schools. One of us only got into one school. Who was the one? You? No. One of us only got into one of the schools, which is why we all ended up going to that school. Okay. I graduated with a class of 39. Oh, and yes, that was even more scary going into
Starting point is 00:03:34 private school with it being your first year because a lot of kids, they called it like from alpha to omega. So they started in kindergarten in that school and went all the way through 12th grade. Right. So they already had their cliques and their their little groups. And once you kind of have that you're not getting in. Yeah, like going into already established friend groups. That's really hard. And so we moved around a lot whenever I was a kid. And I told Will when I got pregnant with Jackson, I said, wherever he starts is where he will finish. Like there
Starting point is 00:04:10 will be no moving because I feel like I had trauma from that because I was always having to make new friends, which is good in some sense, like in my adult life. But for my raising, I don't feel like it's conducive for children. I 100% agree with you. I moved into four different districts growing up. I moved once in elementary school, twice in middle school, and then my last move was finally in high school, which was 10th grade. I don't care how resilient you think kids are, removing them from the friends that they
Starting point is 00:04:44 know just because you want to, not because there's an external factor, whether it's resilient you think kids are, removing them from the friends that they know just because you want to, not because there's like an external factor, whether it's like, you know, a death in the family. Like, if it's not required, I just don't think it's not like... I refuse to remove my kids from where they know and where they've been. Isaac is going to a different high school this year because that's what he wanted and I told him, you know, he started to have second thoughts about it. And I was like, you know what? I said, take this opportunity to go to this school.
Starting point is 00:05:10 If you get there and you're halfway through the year and you're like, I want to go back to where I came from. You can always do that. I said, but I don't want to, I don't want you to miss this opportunity because once we pull you from this school, you can't, you don't get to go back. You don't get to, you don't get to try again. So and, and again, it was because he wanted to try to go to a different school. So to me, I've had enough trauma moving schools that I don't care if they're in fifth grade,
Starting point is 00:05:34 I don't care if they're in first grade. If it's not absolutely necessary, absolutely the fuck not. So many people have asked me, actually, since I moved, they were like, is Jackson moving schools? And I said, no, because we can still use Will's address for the primary because in our custody paperwork, I am primary parent. Okay. Well, everything goes to my address, but for the purposes of school, to keep him from having to move, we're just going to use Will's address to keep him in the district, which is totally fine.
Starting point is 00:06:05 But I'm having a little issue because Jackson, kids just like want to do stuff that is different to them, I think. So he's like, oh, I should go to this elementary school or I should go to this middle school since it's closer to your house. And I'm like, no, you need to stay with your established friends. Like you've been with them since kindergarten. So let's just stay doing that. And now he thinks that he's homeschooling for middle school.
Starting point is 00:06:29 That's our most recent conversation as of yesterday that he's homeschooling. But I do think that that every kid goes through. There was a period where I was like, if you're gonna take me out of school, just homeschool me. Like I don't wanna make new friends. That was like detrimental to, it was like social suicide. Everyone, I think every kid has wanted to experience homeschooling at some point. We did during COVID.
Starting point is 00:06:53 Correct. And I am not equipped, I'm not smart enough, I'm not brave enough, I am not good enough to educate these fucking kids. I'm going tell you that right now. Like I, we need to pay teachers more so that they can continue to do what they love to do because I am not cut out for teaching. So I actually posted that on my Instagram yesterday about not being qualified. And so many people sent me messages back and they were like, you absolutely are qualified.
Starting point is 00:07:22 You're the most qualified person for your child. And I'm like, here's the thing. I'm not because I am the videos that you see of people trying to teach their kids like just standard mathematics where I'm going crazy with the eraser. Being like, that's not fucking it. Like, that's not fucking it. Yeah. One. Can you not get it? I know I get it. I fully get it. And I'm with you. Like, I see you, I feel you, I hear you, all the things.
Starting point is 00:07:48 No, high school, I cried for weeks and weeks and weeks before high school because I was so fucking scared. And truly, high school really fucked me up, honestly. Outside of that, my son also enrolled us in some sweepstakes to go to the Bahamas. I'm in a public bathroom. He goes to the men's, I go to the women's bathroom. I guess he had to pee less than I did. I don't know, or he either didn't wash his hands, whatever, comes out of the bathroom.
Starting point is 00:08:20 I walk out into a hallway and see him filling out paperwork for himself to go to the Bahamas. And I'm like, sir, you had to be 18 years old to do that. And he was like, well, if you don't want to go, you don't have to go, but I'm going to the Bahamas. I'm like, no, you aren't. If you don't take that boy to the Bahamas, who's birthday is coming up? Skip the party, do the Bahamas. Gosh, he actually asked me yesterday.
Starting point is 00:08:44 He was like, what are we doing for my birthday this year? Do your kids ask you that? Oh, yeah every year I told Lincoln we're not doing a party. We're not doing a party for the twins We didn't do a party for Rio. We did like a little picture backdrop cakesmash video and pictures that I actually printed out and I thought that was cute so I said that's what we're doing for the twins Nobody's coming to hang out with twins. Like that's just, they're babies.
Starting point is 00:09:07 That's not happening. So we're gonna do a little cute little backdrop. And then same for Lincoln's a month before Jackson. And I said, we're not doing a party. What do you wanna do? He said, I wanna meet soccer players. And I'm like, you've lost your, I don't know where to find those things.
Starting point is 00:09:21 So. Like how do we just meet, what is it? Christian Ronaldo? Yeah, like how do we just meet? What is it? Christian Ronaldo? Yeah. Like, how do we? I don't know. But I will say, Lincoln got picked while we were in New York together last weekend.
Starting point is 00:09:32 We hobby called me to tell me that Lincoln was picked to play in Spain. He went to this camp, the soccer camp over the summer in Virginia. And from there, they picked like a certain number of players that were part of the camp to go play in Spain in Madrid So that is happening like a week after his birthday So wow, so will he like be out of school? Yeah. Well, it falls over Thanksgiving So we will be going to Spain for Thanksgiving. Wait you and all of your other children. Yes I'm not gonna bring the babies. But yeah, are you
Starting point is 00:10:07 Like happy are you nervous? No, I'm not gonna bring the babies. But yeah. Are you like happy? Are you nervous? I'm super excited. I was planning a trip to Europe for spring break. But now I emailed the agent and I was like, hey, like, I actually need to move this to Spain specifically. And we're gonna go there for the week, I guess for Thanksgiving. I don't even know. I'm, I just like can't, it just all happened so fast. And then and then hobbyavi and his family are going to go. So that'll be interesting. I mean, I don't think that we're going to spend like quality time together, but we'll both of our families will be in Spain at the same time. That's kind of fun though. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:37 For Lincoln, it'll be really good for Lincoln and we'll be able to do our own thing and then come back to the camp area to watch him do like his scrimmages and then, you know, we'll be able to do our own thing and then come back to the camp area to watch him do like his scrimmages and stuff, which will be cool. Outside of that, I need to update you on the weather here. It is like fall the past couple of days. And I think it's teasing because someone told me at Jackson's football game on Saturday, they were like, well, it's going to be the hottest week of the year, like as in this week. And I swear that's why people get sick here. Probably. Because it goes from like fall, like cool, breezy
Starting point is 00:12:32 in the evening to then you wake up and it's 95 fucking degrees outside and you don't know how to dress. It's like you're wearing sweatpants first thing in the morning, then you need shorts. It's like, you've got to do like the whole layering situation. Not very fun. Also, ma'am, when I left New York, get home, get settled in.
Starting point is 00:12:56 Five o'clock the next day, it hit me out of nowhere. You would have thought it was like a stomach virus or something. It just hit me out of nowhere. Got the vid. Got the vid. Well, I got the, while we were in New York, you saw me get the IV. I had the doctor come give me an IV at the hotel
Starting point is 00:13:13 because I was like, I just feel like I'm getting sick. I hope I didn't have it and give it to you. I didn't think I did. So I'm just putting that out there right now. I hope that you're feeling better now. Oh, it took me straight out. Like I was in the bed, I was on the phone with Kristen. Okay, so get COVID.
Starting point is 00:13:34 I'm like, I'm not gonna be good. Like I need to get a test to my house, like ASAP. Also had Jackson, also had football practice every day whenever we got back. I told Kristen, I was like, I don't think I can do this. Like, I don't think I can life right now. Um, I, I need to be on my back and not in a sexual way, not, no, no, no, not in a sexual way. I get in the bathtub.
Starting point is 00:13:57 I'm on my phone bath. The phone slips into the bathtub. So any person out there that is an Apple user, I hope it's all of you, because if you're Android, I have a lot of questions. It's not waterproof. What? The iPhones that say that they're like waterproof
Starting point is 00:14:15 or water resistant, no, they're not. Why do you say that? Because my phone literally fried. So did you have to go get a new one? Oh, this was a whole experience. So mind you, to go get a new one? Oh, this was a whole experience. So mind you, I'm basically on my deathbed. I have no phone to be able to contact anybody, so I'm trying to get on my laptop so that I can text from my laptop. Okay. I still have some stuff over at my old house. Some of my stuff is at
Starting point is 00:14:41 my new house, so I thought all my backup phones were at my old house. Well, they weren't. I randomly like found them laying around my new house. So take that phone, this little dusty rusty guy right here to get it plugged up. So I at least had like something to use in the meantime. I don't understand about the phone insurance. What businesses can like shut down for three to five
Starting point is 00:15:07 days for you to get a replacement? Like I use my phone for business. Yeah. So like, what are you supposed to do? What if I didn't have this like dusty rusty backup? They don't. You'll get it'll you have to wait like two to three business days to get a replacement phone. And you're like, what am I supposed to do for that time? I don't know. But what do the people that don't have backups do just go
Starting point is 00:15:28 without a phone? I think so. I think so. Because the way that you feel disconnected from life. No, because I've had to just flat out say fuck the insurance, I'll just buy a new phone today. Like, I have your scam. I think that is the scam. Cause they're like, okay.
Starting point is 00:15:46 And then you only have X amount of time to return it. And once you've already set it up for like the three days until you get your replacement phone or whatever, you've already set it up and you know what I mean? So I think that's the scam. I mean, I have literally done it not just for myself but I've done it for my kids before because I, you know, right now nobody has phones I took them away
Starting point is 00:16:05 again but um yeah that's the scam I think they do that on purpose. It's so ridiculous so I'm working off like this little dusty rusty phone the picture quality is absolutely atrocious like it looks like I'm taking pictures from like 1990 on a Polaroid. First world problems first world problems but like 1990 on a Polaroid. First world problems. First world problems, but so when will you get your new phone? It's supposed to come today and I don't have any time to go and get it connected today or possibly tomorrow. So it might be Wednesday by the time that I get it connected. However, when your phone gets water damaged, if your stuff's not backed up on your phone, you can't get it off.
Starting point is 00:16:44 So that's where I'm at. Like all my text threads, like everything's gone. Can you turn the phone on at all? Oh, it turns on and then it'll say like the temperature thing on the front and it'll just sit there and it'll be like the phone has to like regulate temperature or whatever. And then it'll go away from that and Apple will come up and it'll turn on for a split second. And then it'll turn right back off and it'll just like keep doing the same thing over and over again. Damn.
Starting point is 00:17:10 So also considering investing in a digital camera and taking photos that way. Yeah. Because if your phone ever gets water damaged and you have not backed it up, everything is lost. All your memories are gone. Yeah. I've experienced that too because I don't ever back up to an iCloud or anything like that because I'm scared of getting hacked or whatever.
Starting point is 00:17:36 So pretty much I don't have anything that I didn't print off that I don't have, I don't have it. I don't even have them on. Oh, an entire relationship of mine. photos are so that's where we are. It's also college football season. And I'm excited. Well, you're in the right place. Yeah. What I said, you're in the right place for that with all the footballs in the
Starting point is 00:18:00 background. I bought this hat yesterday. Clemson plays Georgia on Saturday. Sorry, I got the vid cough. I'm hoping I'm fully better by then because we are going to wild out. Well, I hope you are too. In the meantime, let's talk about us getting our cats waxed in New York City. Oh, how was your experience? Well, it had been a cool four years since I had been waxed. I stopped waxing probably around the time that I got pregnant with Creed because also I was pregnant. I didn't know. I don't know. Can you get pregnant while waxed? Can you get waxed while pregnant? I didn't even ask, but then also COVID happened, so I couldn't,
Starting point is 00:18:43 and then I just never went back. It's also an hour from my house so that's also just like it ends up being like a full day fucking a half day excursion which is a pain in my ass. So I recorded which is probably not allowed, it's probably illegal but I recorded myself so I will attach the video when this episode airs attached to the video when this episode airs of my face while I was getting waxed. Lindsay's wax took a cool three minutes and I looked at the lady and I said, I'm not like her. Like it's a jungle down there. And so she thought that was hilarious. And I was basically crying like the 40 year old virgin. So wait a minute, so did you have like a bush? What were you working with? Pretty much, yeah, I mean, I hadn't waxed for like,
Starting point is 00:19:30 I mean, I hadn't shaved for at least three weeks. Three weeks? Yeah. Does that not like itch you? No. So like when it starts growing out and you have the stubble, that's itchy, right? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:43 And then yours was like past the itch point. Right, but you have to have a minimum of two weeks length of hair. So I was like, all right, I'll just leave it when we decided we were gonna get waxed in New York. So I was like, I'll just leave it. But I don't know if that's actually truly accurate. Maybe if you're going to get waxed
Starting point is 00:20:03 and you're not like a regular waxer that's probably like the general rule of them. I never have a ton of hair but I think it's because I wax so regularly that there's just not enough time for it to grow. Where in comparison to your house is your like place that you go? Oh ten minutes. See my thing too with one, I don't want to get waxed in Delaware because everyone in Delaware knows somebody that I know. Like I don't care what confidentiality agreements
Starting point is 00:20:33 these people have signed. There's nobody that is, I don't want to call myself high profile but higher profile around here. And I know for a fact, they're telling their fucking friends about waxing kale from teen moms fucking cooch like I'm not with it. So much better getting waxed in New York and then also driving the hour. So like I
Starting point is 00:20:54 could shower at 10am for an 11am appointment get there and I feel like I'm not clean enough. Whereas if it was like 10 or 15 minutes away from my house, I would feel so much better So I think I've decided I'm just gonna wax in other places. I don't need to wax in Dover. I don't need to walk But see, I just don't think that's gonna work and logistically This is why because you need to be on a regular routine If you want to get to the place of where I'm at, you have to go every like three or four weeks to get it done. So unless you're planning on going away from Delaware
Starting point is 00:21:31 every three to four weeks consistently, then that's not gonna be an option. I'm away from Delaware at least every two, I mean, two weeks, three weeks. Yeah, but close enough to where another waxer might be like that's Kale teen mom and I just You know ripped her shit. What do you mean? Like are we talking about Philly? No, I'm saying like for example, I will be when I need to get waxed again
Starting point is 00:21:57 I will be in another state like I will be in Texas Okay, so I also this this brings up a whole other conversation outside of wax. Are you the type of person that once you find somebody that you love for something that you want to consistently use them every time because that's how I am with my waxing? I'm honestly shocked that I let you bamboozle me to do this situation together and not go to my waxer. I am that way with everything. So like once I find someone I love and does a good job and then I really like I just keep
Starting point is 00:22:31 going to them. I've actually been having a hard time with my eyebrows. I have been growing them out since like April because I stopped going to the one girl that I had gone to for a long time like years and then started going to this other girl. And then I realized once the tint was wearing off, like it was coming off, I noticed that my, she would just wax my actual eyebrow entirely too thin. So I was like, okay, I love what it looks like when they're first, first done. But after that, they're not like, they're so thin.
Starting point is 00:23:02 So I've been growing my eyebrows out since April. And I just can't bring myself to go back to the original girl because she did some weird shit and I was like, I'm not going back to you. unrelated to eyebrows. And so I'm having a really hard time like I just love what like once I'm loyal to someone in the service industry, like I'm going to you until I fucking die. Literally or until you do. I feel like that with my hair person, my nail tech, my wax person, Pilates, I want to be
Starting point is 00:23:35 registered for the same instructor all the time. I only let one person clean my teeth at my dentist office. So if that, what do they call them? A hygienist. Hygienist. Yeah. If that hygienist isn't available, then I will just wait until that hygienist is available. So you like try to schedule with that person?
Starting point is 00:23:58 I schedule specifically with that hygienist. And I think it's, you get the better results when you stay consistent with someone because they learn you, you know, it's like a relationship. I oftentimes say what would happen if something happened to my therapist? Well, you'd be shit out of luck. No, I know that. But I'm like, like, you know, look, because you don't know anybody else to that level. And your therapist knows you inside, like what would happen?
Starting point is 00:24:27 And then you have to like explain everything from like a built relationship of like years to somebody else. At that point, I would just be a non therapy early. You'd be like, I'm done with therapy. We're not going back. We can just scratch this off the list of to do coffee combos podcast is brought to you by progressive insurance. Speaking of therapy, I know our listeners and you loved it. My parents loved it. I talk a lot about power in the paws. And I had had conversations with my therapist about like, I think that I have slightly mastered power in the paws. Like I've gotten good at it. I'm not perfect at it, but I've gotten a lot better at it. I said, so like, what's the next step from power on the pause. And she told me about controlling the space in the place and the power of choice, which creates freedoms. And I really
Starting point is 00:26:18 loved that. So she was telling me that when I feel uncomfortable about a situation or something, then I need to start learning how to control my emotions so that I can control the space and the place that I am currently in. And I have not perfected that. Okay. Well, that's going to take some time. Yeah, it's going to take some time. You should do it too.
Starting point is 00:26:41 I am, I'm going to be honest with you. Like behind the scenes, my life is falling apart right now. So I don't know if I have the capacity to do anything right now. What do you mean? Like to just therapy my life my way through life for the next couple weeks, I think it's going to be my way through life for the next couple weeks, I think it's going to be. Okay. Are you the type of person, anyone who's listening to this, if you are actively in therapy, when things start getting harder, like you're in a good place, but then you hit a road bump, do you try to invest more time in therapy or do you stray away from it altogether? Um, both. I think it depends on the situation. There have been times where I've like needed
Starting point is 00:27:32 emergency therapy appointments. Like right now I need to do this and I've even gone to twice a week. And then other times, like right now I'm kind of running from it. Like I'm just not, I'm just not in the mindset to, to therapy right now. Is it because your mind's so consumed with like all the other things that are going on that you can't even fathom investing like an hour and doing it? Cause I've been there. Yes. I think it's that. And I also think that it is not knowing,
Starting point is 00:28:04 I guess where to start or like how to approach like certain subjects. Like I don't, like certain things just coming out of left field that like are not on the track of like healing everything else that we've been working on. Does that make sense? So it just feels like a wrench is being thrown in and I don't know how to tackle that in therapy right now at this exact time So I can just tell you I was at that place not too terribly long ago And my therapist told me about journaling she's always kind of advocated for that since the beginning since we started but
Starting point is 00:28:42 Really more so when I got in that place because my thoughts all felt so scattered like everywhere that I didn't even know what I was going to therapy for. That's where I'm at. What is there to therapies right now because what the fuck am I doing? But I think you need to get a journal and like anytime something comes up that is a trigger to like write that down in your journal. So then when you are ready for therapy, when you go, even if it feels like
Starting point is 00:29:08 scattered and chaotic, you can tackle like down the list. And if I get into like a really good place in life, which I'm not currently at, but when I am there, then we'll like revert back and take care of like child, we might have a session on childhood stuff Okay, and so it's easy to Anything that's like pressing that I'm struggling with that might be in that week or it was like a build-up whatever that's gonna be tackled first and then If I go to therapy and she's like, okay. Well, I don't really see a value in spending a whole hour doing this
Starting point is 00:29:45 Why don't we revert back to some of these things from other sessions that we need to like clear up and let's work on those It's progress, but I promise it's so worth it and I feel like you would feel so much better I mean, I would agree but I think too like just for anyone that that's listening and has thought about therapy or anything like that, progress is not always linear. It's not always upwards. It's not always because I remember specifically like last year and the year before that was I was constantly being attacked for, oh, but didn't you, I thought you were in therapy. Oh, shouldn't you have learned this or that in therapy?
Starting point is 00:30:24 And therapy is, is sometimes sometimes you take steps backwards. You're still human, you're still healing, and that's a journey in and of itself. But I think that right now I just don't even know. You have to be in a place to commit to therapy. And right now I think I'm in a place where I have to take a step back so I can realign myself, my thoughts, my everything,
Starting point is 00:30:44 so that when I go back into therapy, I'm like, okay, this is what we need to tackle and this is where we need to go. Because I don't really know where to go from here. There's a lot of thoughts going on. I think you're right. I think I'm going to take your advice on the journaling right now and then I'll know where to start back up with therapy. And you're totally right that therapy is not a linear journey. Same way as grief, right? Like you, there are multiple stages of grief, and you can feel like you're in final stages of grief, and then you've reverted back to phase one of grief. It is not a linear
Starting point is 00:31:16 journey. And that's okay. It's a it's a learning. The whole journey is a learning process. Absolutely it is. Did you get to watch the Scott Peterson docu-series on peacock? I did And I am a little bit pissed off that I wasted my fucking time watching that because there was no There was nothing new there outside of him telling lies So I was equally Disappointed in the documentary. I thought that we were going to find out more
Starting point is 00:31:48 information or there was going to be something that would be groundbreaking. I think new information. Yeah, I think I can collectively say for all of us, us as hosts, and then people who are listening, none of us asked for this documentary, like, not one single one of us asked to actually see his fucking lying smug face. It was a whole lot of not taking accountability, making excuses and truly did a very poor job at trying to convince us that any of this was like, not him. I know that previously I have been like, okay, maybe Scott didn't do it. There's possibilities that he didn't do it. And while I still stand on that, like this is strictly a circumstantial case, it's just overwhelming with the circumstantial
Starting point is 00:32:35 evidence. And I do, I do still believe that like, according to the justice system, if you were going to let off people like OJ Simpson and Casey Anthony, then it also needed, he also needed to be let off from a legal standpoint, but from a moral, ethical, like, I'm on Team Lacey and Connor until the day I die standpoint, he is exactly where he needs to be. I just think that it was incredibly irresponsible, truly, for the filmmaker of this documentary specifically to put something out like this. I mean, no accountability, no persuasion
Starting point is 00:33:12 that you didn't do it, like truly making excuses and just being completely not giving a fuck. So in the last episode, when we talked about the documentary of Lacey Peterson that was on Netflix, I felt a completely different way about it. There was a lot of things that were in there that either I had forgotten or I never knew. And I liked the angle that they came at with the documentary. And this three-parter, I didn't like it at all. I felt like it was a bunch of excuse making to try to essentially manipulate the
Starting point is 00:33:46 public around this case to cause more question. I don't think that there is any question anybody who's followed this case to question if the evidence was circumstantial or not circumstantial. I don't think that was ever brought into question. Do I think that he should have been convicted based off of what they had? Probably not. But just as a normal human being who wasn't serving on a jury in this trial, do I think he did it and do all the stars align? Absolutely. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:20 The Lacey Peterson one on Netflix definitely convinced me beyond any reasonable doubt in my own personal opinion. But I'm also I read some stuff about Scott Peterson's sister-in-law being in love with him because why isn't his brother speaking and she is and they're like something isn't right here. So I thought that was an interesting take. What? Yeah, I was reading like theories online saying like,
Starting point is 00:34:45 what the fuck is wrong with everybody like not picking up on his sister-in-law is speaking on Scott and like advocating for him and like defending him and doing all of these things for him. But where is her husband who is Scott's brother, who is not appearing on that documentary on Peacock anywhere? Why is the sister-in-law speaking so highly of him because you're fucking in love with him?
Starting point is 00:35:05 Could you imagine like the turmoil that that would create internally in a family? I don't care if it was 20 years ago, 30 years ago, however long ago it was, of one person singularly taking side on this situation in a fucking documentary and their spouse that is a brother of this person is not participating. That's fucking weird. It would be like me going missing and Elijah not speaking on it, but his brother speaking on it. That would be, I would think his brother did it. What's that? I would think his brother did it. Oh, see, I was thinking then maybe she knows something that none of us thought maybe they were having an affair and she did it. Like I don't like to me, there's just
Starting point is 00:35:49 so many like if, if the roles were reversed, and it was a woman though, and a woman goes missing, and the brother in law was speaking on it, I would think immediately you attack the woman for having an affair with this person. Why has that not been brought into question about Scott and his sister in law, right? But those were my concluding thoughts were just that it was a waste of my time to watch that. And he did a poor job convincing us of anything. So that's kind of where I'll leave that. So I do have a couple things that I want to ask you about the burglary that took place across the street. I was convinced up until this documentary
Starting point is 00:36:26 that she never confronted those people, maybe never saw those people, had nothing to do with that situation whatsoever, right? But after hearing the phone call recordings of the man who reported that he saw her with people from a van and how his wife didn't want him to get involved in any of it and to like leave it alone.
Starting point is 00:36:51 I don't think that some innocent bystander random person would have reported something to the police if that didn't actually happen. Okay, okay. Right? Right. So do we think that maybe she did have involvement with those people in that van and then they just let her go? Like how do we explain that situation away? You're talking about the lady who reported the van and the burglars, right?
Starting point is 00:37:19 Yeah. That was not able to be corroborated in any way because she kept changing her story and the color of the van. But there was also there was also a man that reported that he saw a pregnant woman near railroad tracks, I think, and she had to pee or something. Okay, that part I don't know. I know that lots of people reporting seeing this woman walk her dog. And my theory on the dog walking situation is just that everybody gave a different time
Starting point is 00:37:52 and they were all sort of after the time that the detectives and the investigators thought that Scott would have killed Lacey. Personally, I just think that the time was off. Like I think that, because in my opinion, if I was to look out my window right now and I see someone walking down the street, my first thought is not to look at the clock.
Starting point is 00:38:11 So I am already hearing about this case. I then called to report in that I saw this person and I'm already sort of have like a subconscious bias about the time or like what the theory is or like what time I, like you don't know what time it was. So I think it's the same kind of thing with the van. I think these people saw her walking the dog, but I don't think that it was after 10, 15.
Starting point is 00:38:32 I think it was significantly before that. So I'm in agreement with you. That was my initial thoughts about the timeline, right? Your first thoughts are never going to be like, oh, if I looked out Will's window right here and I saw some pregnant woman walking with a dog, I would never be able to go back and definitively pinpoint the time that was other than the fact that I was on a recording and it could have been between these hours and this hour,
Starting point is 00:39:00 right? Right. You think she took the dog on a walk, explain how the dog got loose, or what you think how the dog got loose, and then where did Scott get her to do whatever he did to her? Is it possible that she walked the dog way earlier in the day and Scott scooped her up? Or is it possible that it wasn't even that morning, that specific morning and that he let the dog loose with the leash out the door on his own. That's true too. That's true too. I think that it was a very premeditated situation just based off of the evidence that they do
Starting point is 00:39:41 have him getting the fishing license, going 90 miles away to fish the homemade anchors. I think this was a long thought out process that he had. And you can't convince me, you can't convince me that he did not do it. And I think the only reason that the innocence project is involved in it is truly from a technicality standpoint and the fact that they should not have been able to convict based off of circumstantial evidence. Right. No, I agree with you there.
Starting point is 00:40:11 Final thoughts done. Final thoughts concluded. All right. I have a couple of questions for y'all. What if you could take a weekly shot to lose weight and keep it off? You lose weight, it comes back, you lose it again, it comes back again. If this cycle sounds familiar to you, there's a better and more sustainable way to lose weight. So if you've heard of Ozempic or Wigogi, you've probably heard
Starting point is 00:40:36 these three things. They're effective, but they're expensive and they're hard to get. But that's where Roe comes in. Through Roe, you can access prescription compounded GLP-1s with the same weight loss ingredient as brand name GLP-1s at a fraction of the cost. Roe has compounded GLP-1s in stock now. You can get it in one to four days if you qualify and Roe members have support through the process. If eligible for medication, patients have access to their provider on demand for any questions. You can see if you qualify from the comfort of your own home.
Starting point is 00:41:07 That means no scheduling a doctor's appointment, no commute to the doctor's office, and no waiting rooms. It prescribes your medication ships directly to you in one to four days. Go to row.co. slash coffee combos. Memberships start at just $99 for your first month. Medication costs are separate. That's ro.co.co.coffeecombos. Go to ro.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co.co You wanna talk about our tattoos? I got some jail tats. I got coffee combos, little blurb right here on my hand, because this is my mic hand if I was to be at a live show per se.
Starting point is 00:41:56 And I got seven of hearts for my seven babies. I got a little bumblebee for Versi- verse and a paper plane on my neck. I love when I was looking at your Instagram while I was laying in the bed dying. I loved seeing the video of Matt Matthews saying that you got a jail tap. Matt Matthews was like, what the fuck is that? He noticed it right away and was like, what the fuck is that? Also Isaac noticed it right away. And Elijah noticed it right away and was like, what the fuck is that? Also, Isaac noticed it right away. And Elijah noticed it right away. Lincoln was like, wait, is that new? Like he like wasn't sure. Yeah. So I thought that was really funny. But I my
Starting point is 00:42:34 only regret is I should have got the neck tat a little bigger. Oh, you wanted it bigger? Yeah, I should I should get maybe another one. But I think that maybe you were swayed in the sizing based off of my sizing of the tattoos I got. Oh, yours are itty teeny tiny bitty. Itty bitty, look at how little, look at how little. I can't even see that because it's so small. They're so cute though.
Starting point is 00:42:59 So I got Jackson's birthday in Roman numerals. I've wanted to get that tattoo for years. A little cardinal right here. And that's because I see cardinals all the time. Like ever since my granddaddy died, I see them everywhere. That's how I feel about grandma Carol, my mom. And she was a cardinall. Yeah, she, Blue Jace and cardinals,
Starting point is 00:43:24 she would always, like if I was at her house, she would always spot them out and be like, you see it? And she had bird books and binoculars, like look at the birds. So that's really cute. Actually. That's really cute. I love it. And when I started dating Trent, we would see them all the time.
Starting point is 00:43:39 Like in his yard, I have one that lives. He must live like somewhere near my new yard because I see him flying every morning same time It's weird like they have patterns. They definitely have patterns schedule honey, it is a scheduled Cardinal so Got that a dragonfly for my papa There's meaning and story behind that. The coffee convo's chat bubble, and a cross for the Lord, period.
Starting point is 00:44:10 Did Jackson notice them? Did you show him? Oh, I showed him, but he doesn't, he's like, if they make you happy, I love them. If they make you happy, I love them. We love a supportive king, truly. I really thought that the reaction would be different since I don't have any and since Will's so against tattoos.
Starting point is 00:44:30 Oh, what did Will say? He was like, why did you choose self-mutilation? Me putting balm on mine right now. I need to get some of that, by the way. Can you send me the link? Yeah, I will. Wait, self-udilation is crazy. I mean, it definitely is a form, like it definitely is a form of like self-inflicted pain for
Starting point is 00:44:52 sure. Yeah. So that was his thoughts on them, but they are just so tiny and so cute. And honestly, I think they're a representation of things that matter to me in my life. And also I think this is what somebody would expect if I was ever getting a tattoo. I'm just so glad we got to go together. I know, it was definitely fun.
Starting point is 00:45:13 Outside of that, can I tell you about, you know how you talk about dementia and how you're so like afraid to get it? Yes. Okay, so I saw this article come up on CNN and it says, imagine you and your sister, 66 year old twins on Medicare who share the same family history of Alzheimer's disease, making an early diagnosis critical for long-term planning and preventative health care. Since Medicare provides coverage for cognitive screening as part of each year's wellness visit, you believe that diagnosis, if needed, will occur.
Starting point is 00:45:48 Let's say you live in Hartford, Connecticut. Your sister is some 26 miles away in Springfield, Massachusetts, so close that you often chair Sunday dinners. Yet according to a new study, you are 18% more likely to obtain a diagnosis of dementia in Hartford than your sister in Springfield. People ask, how could this be?
Starting point is 00:46:08 According to Medicare data, the healthcare system in Connecticut may be doing a better job than Massachusetts of screening and diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease or related dementias in referring patients to specialists. And that was from a lead study author and professional professor of internal medicine and geriatric and palatative medicine of the University of Michigan. It says that such disparities happen across the United States. In fact, depending on your zip code, you may be twice as likely to be diagnosed in some areas of the country as others. That's really interesting.
Starting point is 00:46:43 in some areas of the country as others. That's really interesting. Yeah. There's a ton of information on this article. It goes into like all the data and whatever, but I think that is so crazy that based off your zip code, you could have a higher likelihood to get dementia. I, that terrifies me. So I'm gonna like look into that.
Starting point is 00:47:05 I also I don't think I ever posted a doctor, the scientist. He's a neuroscientist that I follow on TikTok and he talks about ways to prevent Alzheimer's. I don't think I ever posted his link on TikTok or whatever. So I'm going to make a little note
Starting point is 00:47:20 right now to post the link for that. So it says that research has shown the largest percentage of Alzheimer's and dementia cases occur in the Southeast known as the stroke belt because deaths from stroke are two or four times higher in those states than other regions. Obesity is widespread across the US
Starting point is 00:47:40 as in high blood pressure, type two diabetes, heart disease and other conditions that contribute to dementia. The highest diagnosis of dementia are in the South. Oh. So like maybe you're going to be fine. I wonder. Well, I don't think so because my grandmother died of it. So is it, is it like a genetic? I think there's a genetic component. I don't think that it's always genetic, but if I'm not, let me look it up. Is Alzheimer's hereditary?
Starting point is 00:48:12 I think it's a component of it. People who develop Alzheimer's do not always have a history of the disease in their family. Still those who have a parent or sibling diagnosed with the disease have a higher risk of developing Alzheimer's than those without that association. So obviously it was my mom's mom that had it, not my mom, but I, for my mom being as
Starting point is 00:48:31 fucked up as she is, she's overall pretty, pretty healthy person. And I just, something tells me by the way life, life's for me, it's going to skip my mother. My mother is going to get off scot-free or is it scotch free or scot free? Scott scotch. She's gonna get off the hook. I don't know. Somehow, all the trauma that I've endured in my life is still not going to get me off the hook for Alzheimer's. So I'll be eating all the foods
Starting point is 00:49:01 that the neuroscientist says like help prevent Alzheimer's because there's a lot of Like what? There's like I think berries are really big for it. Hold on and go look on the guys He's like really informative and he talks about like all the things. Okay Alzheimer's. I feel like I'm definitely gonna get it. I It's one of my because it's like once you're so far out of it, like just kill me like just kill me because I'm not. I don't want my kids I don't want to be a burden on my
Starting point is 00:49:30 kids. I don't want to have my kids spending money that they could have for their own families on my care when I'm not even there like and I get it that that mentality and that you know, decision is not for everyone. But for that, send me to DC and take me the fuck out. See, I don't know. I feel like I would still want to be alive, but not bothering anybody.
Starting point is 00:49:58 And I get that too. I get that too. Neuroscientist. I don't think that I'm going to participate in, you know, trying to end myself because I have dementia, but I don't want to bother anybody. The scientist's name is Robert Love and you can find him on TikTok. It's at Robert WB Love and he has like 13 million, 5 million, 60 million views. And he says, food, three foods.
Starting point is 00:50:29 Every woman over 40 needs to know about. If you're new to my channel, hi, my name's Robert Love. I'm a neuroscientist and I specialize in helping people prevent Alzheimer's disease with science. You may not know this, but women are twice as likely to get Alzheimer's as men. Women are 66% of Alzheimer's cases.. Women are 66% of Alzheimer's cases, men are about a third of Alzheimer's cases.
Starting point is 00:50:47 And so this is really important for women who want to maintain their brain health as they age and reduce the risk of Alzheimer's disease. Foods really matter. Here are three foods that can help protect your brain and even improve your memory as you age. Food number one, this is a delicious one. It is blueberries and other fruits
Starting point is 00:51:04 like raspberries and strawberries Why are berries so good for anyways? I'll post this video specifically So that you don't have to watch the whole thing But I mean he goes in depth like I want to know the food list like I need to be eating So the first one is blueberries raspberries strawberries The second one is leafy green vegetables. And the third one is fatty fish. Okay, so I'm great on the leafy green vegetables and the fatty fish. I don't like berries.
Starting point is 00:51:35 I don't I'm not a fruit girly. I have to be in a very specific mood for any type of fruit. I don't eat fish and I'm not super big on like spinach and kale and things like that I mean, I'm gonna get better. I hope with that but He also goes into like other videos about like foods that are actually going to increase the deterioration of your brain So let's go classic on there Probably I'll send you guys this Alzheimer's okay. I'll send it. I'll send you guys this Alzheimer's. Okay, I'll send it. I'll post it. I just saw that article when it popped up
Starting point is 00:52:09 and I was like, wow, I need to tell Kayl about this and she needs to put in her zip code to see if she's at risk. I am absolutely at risk. This person says, ladies, how soon is too soon to start dating again after a divorce? I'm in a weird situation where I was very, very recently divorced and I've been in therapy and really working on myself and wasn't even looking
Starting point is 00:53:53 for a relationship whatsoever. But in stumbles a really great guy and now I'm finding myself catching feelings and I'm scared because it feels too soon. I don't know if that's because I feel like it's too soon or just scared of outside judgment. Please help. Okay, well, I think this is a varies by situation kind of case. I also went through this
Starting point is 00:54:17 and that was when I started dating suburban dad. I felt like, okay, I was in a 10-year marriage and I need to give time to my healing before I invest in something else. I need to learn my new normals and my new routine. I don't know if this person has a child or not, but I think that that also should be taken into consideration when considering moving on because post-divorce, you're juggling your emotions, the emotions of your now ex-partner that can affect yours, and then also the emotions of your child or children. I remember, like I vividly remember getting ready to go to dinner with suburban dad for
Starting point is 00:55:03 the first time. And I called my parents crying and telling them that I didn't think that I could do it. And my dad said, you need to set yourself up in your mind that this is a get to know you dinner. This is not, don't consider it a date. It doesn't have to be considered a date. Like you are going to dinner with someone,
Starting point is 00:55:23 you're going to get to know someone else. If it goes somewhere, it goes somewhere. And if it doesn't, then great. You had a great dinner. I have found myself, and I said this on book club last night, so the girls that are on here that listen to coffee combos will know, I have found myself every time that I'm committed to being by myself after a relationship, it's like another relationship smacks me dead in my face. And it feels like a healthy one. And so every single time I've taken that risk. And so it hasn't always ended up great.
Starting point is 00:55:54 But I say all that to say, like, I have gotten to a place where I absolutely love being by myself. And it's hard for, I think think anyone to decide when they're ready or when they're not ready or like what to do because it just will smack you in the face when you don't even see it coming. And it's just as long as you have boundaries, I think like Lindsay said, especially like if you have a child that's going to play that's going to that's a factor in all of this, right? Like Lindsay said, get to know them, take it slow. But I do also understand like the newness of a relationship
Starting point is 00:56:27 and wanting to go dive, just dive head first into it. And so I don't know that this is a, this is one of those things where you have to like do it yourself to figure it out. I don't think advice from anyone else is really gonna give helpful information. And I mean, my best advice, even if you're coming from a divorce or somebody
Starting point is 00:56:46 that's getting out of a relationship and having interest in possibly going into a new one is take things slow. There is no need to try to rush something like what's meant to be will be without you having to like press that issue. So taking time for yourself, dedicating individual time to things that you wanna do and not giving every part of you to a new relationship. I think that's so important for everyone to do because I found myself very much invested in a relationship and had the conversation with Kristin yesterday, maybe it wasn't yesterday, maybe it was
Starting point is 00:57:26 Friday. I had the conversation with her of I'm kind of like feeling at a loss because I've invested so much of myself in to my relationships, that you feel lost after that whenever it's gone. It's like you have to kind of recalibrate your life to have a new normal. Yeah, no 100% 100%. The next question is what's your comfort show or show that you regularly re binge watch? Oh, god, I have so many right now. Currently in this moment
Starting point is 00:58:00 today, it's young Sheldon. Before young Sheldon love young Sheldon. Love it. Before that was Big Bang Theory and then also suits. They're like my go to will fall asleep to them at night and then Grey's Anatomy is always going to be something I'll rewatch until the day the day I'm on order SVU. So like, there's so many law and order SVU is a top for me. Although I don't know how I watched it in college being younger and living in a city and
Starting point is 00:58:30 why I'm so fucking terrified at 34 years old living in the suburbs watching it maybe it's because I'm doing it alone now will and I used to do that together like we would binge the hell out of law and order SVU. And now probably Virgin River. You didn't get into Virgin River, did you? No, I never tried. I never watched it. It's very wholesome.
Starting point is 00:58:55 Okay. So it's a really good watch, but I don't know if you'll necessarily get into it based off of the other shows that you listed. I also loved the Big Bang. Like why can't there be more shows like the Big Bang Theory? No, why can't we just continue like I love Big Bang Theory stuff and I was late to watching it So like I didn't actually start watching Big Bang Theory until everyone had it was dead and gone to everybody else So like I revived that for myself
Starting point is 00:59:24 I remember when I was married to frickin' Javi, his cousin was obsessed with Big Bang Theory, I think when it was like newer. Yeah. So I only just recently watched it. And then from that, I had to watch Young Sheldon. So I'm I love Young Sheldon so much. And like, I let my kids watch it, probably going to hell for that. But I don't care. Okay, another great watch to binge the office. Oh, classic. It's classic. Who is your favorite character off of The Office?
Starting point is 00:59:51 One, two, three, Dwight. I didn't even get a chance. Okay, Dwight. But also, did you know that the booze cruise was filmed on the lake in my hometown at Lake Wall and Paw Pack? Wait, what? Yes, from the office. Like we should go recreate that
Starting point is 01:00:07 and be like coffee combos. But you don't drink. No, but we could, I can have a mocktail. Yeah, okay, fine, whatever. No, it's mocktail. Mocktails by kale. Mocktails, mocktails with kale. Mocktails with kale.
Starting point is 01:00:23 It's the booze, but also mocktails. I actually saw a mocktail that I thought that you might like the other day. It's like a spin off the app for all spritz. And I'm gonna send I'm gonna send you the recipe for it. Oh, I can't fucking wait for that. I have a little like artisan mix, drink mixer mix. Also, I forgot to tell you this, I truly cannot wait for you to receive your birthday gift from me because I asked Kristen for your address yesterday and I can't wait for you to get it. So keep an eye out in the mail for that at your new address. Is this a prank gift? No.
Starting point is 01:01:05 I never know when something comes with your name on it. I'm scared to open it. Might be a poopy taco blanket. It might not. Oh, we still have the poo poo blanket around here somewhere. You're like the dogs use it now. No, Jackson still uses it. He calls it the doo doo blanket.
Starting point is 01:01:23 That's the doo doo blanket. Remember when we got it. He calls it the doo doo blanket. Remember when we got in, I pulled it out and I was like, what is this? Yeah, I don't remember the conversation surrounding that. But also it's iconic. He was like, Mom, it's a doo doo blanket. And I was like, wait, it's a tortilla. It's a tortilla. I love it. Okay. So also we talk a lot about kids sports and stuff on this podcast. And sadly, I saw something that absolutely terrifies me. It was also on CNN about an Alabama teen dying after a head injury during a high school football
Starting point is 01:02:03 game. Did you see this? No. Yeah. So it says an Alabama, Alabama community is in mourning following the death of a high school quarterback who suffered a brain injury during the school season opener on Friday night. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition after a head injury. Um, and then his death was announced the next day.
Starting point is 01:02:23 He was 16 years old. And then his death was announced the next day. He was 16 years old. And I mean, it's just absolutely horrible and terrifying. And this is exactly my concerns when Will signed Jackson up for football. That's rough. That's really tough. My condolences are to the family and to everyone affected by this death. I cannot imagine. I truly can't.
Starting point is 01:02:50 So it said in a quote from somebody at the school, it says, we may not know the full story for some time, but initial reports are that he likely suffered a ruptured blood vessel in the brain following a routine play in which he was tackled and made contact with the ground. Last week, I guess it was Saturday, that was the first time I had ever heard like the helmet smashing. Absolutely terrified. And like the moms on the sideline, every one of us cringing. Yeah, I mean, that's definitely, it was a thought as Lincoln got started to get older for me. I think that the tackles were relevant to Lincoln's size.
Starting point is 01:03:33 And so they weren't as powerful as, you know, as you get older, there are kids that you can tell who's a lineman and who's on the defense. Like you know who's playing defense and you know, who is is alignment and, and, you know, they wanted to, they went, they wanted to put link, move Lincoln from wide receiver to alignment. And he was not with it. And just because, you know, your size changes, you don't know, you know, especially when kids start to go around the age of hitting puberty, you know, their body types change, you kind of start to see like what way their body is going to go. And so that's when you really start to freak out because you're like, okay, these these hits are not kids that are hitting that are the same size. These are now like, big fucking kids tackling smaller, smaller kids,
Starting point is 01:04:20 even when you're in high school. And so I definitely, you know, you get a hit in there. That's the wrong way, the wrong move, the wrong, like in it, and you just don't know what could happen. And so I definitely resonate with you guys all cringing on the sideline for sure. It said that there were 16 deaths among football players in 2023, including seven among high school players.
Starting point is 01:04:43 And that was according to data collected by the National Center of Catastrophic Sports Injury Research. Among those deaths, three were traumatic brain injuries, two in high school football and one in a youth league. All three occurred during games. The rest of the deaths in 2023 were considered some other type of medical something and the deaths caused by heat stroke, sudden cardiac arrest, pulmonary embolism were all among them. Jesus. That, and while I understand and I'm not trying to like scare anyone, I'm sharing this because I also am scared. But 16 deaths among football players, the majority of them being high schoolers in one calendar year, to me seems like a lot.
Starting point is 01:05:36 No, that's a lot. That's that's a lot. That's a lot of children for families to lose. Yeah. And in the name of football, like, is it worth it? I think that you have to weigh the pros and cons. I know I have a friend around here that he is a former NFL athlete and he would not allow his son to play tackle football with Lincoln because he knew the consequences of what that looked like for him, whether it be a head injury or any sort of other type of injury. And so he actually wouldn't, he wants to wait until his son is a little bit older. And that's coming from a former NFL athlete.
Starting point is 01:06:13 So I thought that was really interesting. At the time I was like, I don't understand. Like, I guess I can't wrap my head around that, but I think someone who has been in the NFL firsthand knows what goes into it, the type of training, the type of injuries that can be, you know, you can get. So I get it now.
Starting point is 01:06:29 This might be like our one and done season. I haven't even thought about having the conversation about it yet. It's hugely time consuming. The risk to me does, it definitely outweighs the benefit. And while I love that he's associated with other kids in his grade that are like all playing and they do, so on Fridays, all the boys and the cheerleaders
Starting point is 01:07:00 go to carpool early and they're in their jerseys and uniforms and they greet all the kids that are coming in from carpool which is really fun and they partner with the high school football team to do that so it's really fun and I love the inclusion however it's too dangerous for me in my opinion. I will say this like if you are looking to have Jackson in something that is less, less, um, no contact, no contact. Thank you. If you're looking for Jackson to play something that is you where you're like super invested and it's low, lower contact, no contact. Um, I don't know what
Starting point is 01:07:39 it looks like in, in Georgia, but here, like you can put them in like kids in, we'll use basketball for an example or soccer for, for an example. them in like kids in, we'll use basketball for an example, or soccer for an example. There's like other things that they can be doing in addition to their, maybe they have practice once a week or twice a week. If you're looking for more, you can put them in other clinics like throughout the week. So if you're looking for something that is going to keep him dedicated, keep him in shape, keep him in, you know, just like connected with other kids. You can add on to whatever like say you play for the rec team, but you want to go train with, you know, these two trainers
Starting point is 01:08:12 at this gym at this time. You can do that. I don't know how Atlanta is but there's a training facility that's not too far from us for basketball that actually some of the Hawks players are co-owners of, that Jackson already is a member of that place. And before football and like all these other things that were sprung on me, he was going there about once a week.
Starting point is 01:08:35 And then during basketball season, he was going there once a week and then he had practice once a week and then games once a week. So it kept him, you know, with different kids, different kids from different skill levels than his team, which I loved that. Um, basketball is just my sport for the outfits, for the environment, for the play. Um, I just, I love the no contact sports. Now I obviously love football. Lux has been dying to play tackle.
Starting point is 01:09:03 We'll see about that, but right now Lincoln's in his soccer era and I absolutely love it. But I also I do understand the love for football and like not a diss to anybody who plays football. Like my nephews still play and you know, I call my nephews but they still play and I love it. I love it. And on that note, we have foul play. Okay. I was eight and a half months pregnant with my second child. This was literally last year and was feeling really freaky with my husband. Oh, anyways, we were doing the thing and decided to 69. My body is different being pregnant. I guess
Starting point is 01:09:36 it changed my gag reflex too. I don't know if that's accurate, but whatever. While I'm sucking I went down a little too far gagged coughed and unfortunately with this cough I literally pissed all over my poor husband's face, nose, glasses and all. Good thing is we both showered and continued after all that so I know how much he truly loves me. I joke about I joke sometimes about how I peed on him and how I'm his first golden shower or whatever the fuck it is.
Starting point is 01:10:03 Oh my god. I love that for you. Okay, a couple of things that I want to say about this. Number one, I think 69 is for the birds. 69 is not a fun time ever at all. No, I don't know if I'm too ADHD for it. Just it's it's not a thing that's ever worked for me. And so I don't like to participate. Also the gag reflex, when I was pregnant, it would gag me to brush my teeth. No, it's a real thing. Yes, 100%. It definitely changes your gag reflexes. I don't know that scientifically, but I can speak from experience. I also hate 69. It's not a fun time. I'm not participating. And I think Elijah loves me
Starting point is 01:10:44 enough to continue through that as well But also but why glasses while doing 16? That was my next point was the glasses. Okay I've only been with one person that wears glasses To bed and then takes them off never in a sexual encounter where they're ever glasses worn So I need to know people who are listening, if you wear them or if your partner wears them, are you wearing them during sexual activities? I will not be wearing them during any type of sexual activity. I also got Lasik, so I never have to worry about that again.
Starting point is 01:11:22 But that's a risk for injury, I feel like. No, 1000% because what if you sit down on the face too hard and they snap and then it pokes you in the eyeball? Like that is- Wait, sit down on someone's face and they snap. Like the glasses? No, I know. But I'm just like cringing, thinking about the sight of that situation. Yeah. Also, why do you need to see that good?
Starting point is 01:11:44 No, you don't. Like I, and that's part of the reason why I don't love going to people going down on me like I can't see down there on a regular basis. I've also had 100 children. So like the stretch marks and stuff that are now down there, you don't need a personal up close view of that of those. Wait, sir, you like not a go down girly? No, I like I'll do it. But like, also, I just don't need you to wear glasses to do it. Like, yeah, like, maybe blur my my
Starting point is 01:12:18 blur my stretch marks out. And wouldn't there be like a fog risk in that situation as well? Like, are they really doing anything? It is absolutely a fog risk in that situation as well. Like, are they really doing anything? It is absolutely a fog risk. Right. Also, bladders during pregnancy, that's a whole another conversation maybe for another time. But I peed probably 25 times a day when I was pregnant. Oh, 100%. Even early on, like pretty early on,
Starting point is 01:12:46 and I didn't know if it was in my own head or if it was like a legit thing, but even early on before I had like a big bump, I was peeing a lot. Did you carry really low? I feel like with Isaac I did. I don't really remember with Lincoln. I don't really remember with Lux
Starting point is 01:13:01 because by Lux I had the tummy tuck before that. So I'm not entirely, I don't really remember. Lux because by Lux I had the tummy tuck before that. So I'm not entirely, I don't really remember. With Jackson I carried very low and he was just on my bladder. Okay. Okay. So bitch was peeing at all times. Definitely not going to make it to the bathroom if you have to pee on the interstate. Absolutely not.
Starting point is 01:13:22 The next person says, I've never had anything I would consider worthy of being a foul play until a few weeks ago. My mom was visiting me in North Carolina where we were staying at my in-laws place in a gated mountain community. Very bougie. Very demure. I made that part up. We decided one day we were going to take a nice nature hike, which was about a four mile loop in total. As we were headed back with about one and a half miles to go, my mom suddenly said that she felt like she was going to shit her pants. I hate that for her. Listen, there is nothing worse than feeling like you have to shit.
Starting point is 01:14:00 She had eaten an entire bag of salad that morning herself. I guess the greens were running through her suddenly without warning she literally dropped her pants on the very public trail and started shitting liquid diarrhea all over the path. I was standing there in complete horror and shock standing in front of her. In any case that other hikers came by, I grabbed the biggest sturdiest that I could, but they all kept breaking and she ended up just pulling her pants off with the full shit between her cheeks and we finished our hike. First of all, no. She had been shitting. I got a full view of the biggest bush that I have ever seen. She had told me in the past that she had never shaved it before and she never felt like she needed to, but man, did she have a total jungle growing down under. I was absolutely traumatized to see it and I can't get the image out of my mind of her blowing liquid
Starting point is 01:14:52 out of her ass right in front of me. She made me swear to never tell a soul so please don't use my name. Y'all are the only ones I feel would appreciate this. So I wanted to share love you both so much. Okay, I would love for her to submit this episode specifically this clip to her mom. Because that would just be hysterical to see her reaction. Please film that if you do it because we're not using names. But I just want to say that this was a double whammy. I that was
Starting point is 01:15:17 a twist that I could not have predicted was the the jungle from down under for sure. Okay, she is a great daughter for trying to locate the largest leaves though. No because I would have been laughing on the floor and I would have been of no help. Oh if somebody no number one if somebody started diarrhea like that near me I would have kept walking. I wouldn't like I don't know her. Yeah like who the fuck is her?
Starting point is 01:15:47 I wonder if they were on some sort of like health journey because I in no way would be attempting any sort of workout or hike after a salad because I just know- What's the deal with people with salads? Well, I think that there's E. coli, of course, but I think also people who don't regularly have roughage in their diet are it's roughage. Is it called roughage, Kristin? So leafy green vegetables are commonly referred to as roughage and it literally cleans and cleanses your insides. So if you're typically
Starting point is 01:16:21 not a salad eater like myself, if I was to eat a salad right now, head over to Salad Works or Panera Bread and get a salad, I would be on the toilet in about two hours. Oh, it would take two hours for it to go through you? Maybe sooner. This is why you should have leafy green lettuces in your regular diet, so you're not absolutely shitting your fucking brains out.
Starting point is 01:16:47 Well, it also brings the entire conversation full circle because leafy greens will clean you out and like clean out your bowels, but it will also be good for Alzheimer's prevention.
