Hey everybody, I'm Tim Mackey and welcome to Exploring My Strange Bible Podcast.
This is a special episode of the podcast.
It's been quite a while since we released an episode,
and that's because the people that helped me do this podcast,
we've been talking about what to do with exploring my strange Bible now that we've reached this point,
which is that you all have caught up with me in present time, and I don't have any more talks or sermons to post.
We've gotten to the end of that library. This podcast started
because some friends kept asking me like, you did a talk on this or on that, and where do I find
that? And I didn't know where to find these things online anymore. So part of the goal was to put it
all together in one place if the talks were helpful to people. But it was, you know, it had
a finite end. And this was about 10 years worth of talks from different seasons of my life and
learning and teaching. But there you go. We're real time now. So this is what, April 2019,
when I'm talking right now. And it's been about two years since I made the transition
to go full-time working on the Bible Project, which has been amazing. Super fun. It's been
amazing, like one of the greatest privileges, but it has meant that I just don't have the time or
margin to be speaking or preaching as much or really at all for this season at
least. And so there you go what we decided to do we thought of some other
ideas about maybe new content for this podcast and we may revive it at some
point in the future if I have some more margin opening up to to speak or preach
more. But for now what we're going to do is just kind of tie a bow
on this podcast and let it stand as an archive of talks that I've given. And it's still amazing to
me that these talks that I gave, mostly for local churches that I worked at or the communities that
I was a part of, it's still amazing to me that they can be helpful to other people.
You know, I actually had like the people at like Door of Hope that I, you know, where I was a pastor, like I was actually looking at and thinking of those people as I crafted these messages. And
so in God's wisdom, they're able to speak to more than just that room of people, which is really
humbling and kind of blows my mind. But I'm glad that they can be helpful for you. So we, as I
said, might post new content for this podcast in the future. So you'll be just as surprised as me
one day to get that alert in your podcast feed. But for now, there you go. Thank you so much for listening to the podcast.
So many of you reached out to me
in the form of whatever emails,
some of you found the Bible Project address,
like mailing address and wrote letters or something.
And that was just really amazing.
Thank you.
It was neat to hear some of your stories and where you've been meeting
Jesus and encountering him in new ways. And the same has been true for me. It's been a really
amazing few years. So there you go. Thank you for your support and encouragement. I trust that Jesus
will continue to lead us forward and reveal himself to us in new ways
and there you go
so thanks for listening
and we'll see you next time on the podcast
whenever that is Thank you. you
