Starting point is 00:00:00 Look at my you guys. I got a new setup. You look stunning. You're in New York, bro. You look listen. Not only are you in New York right now. Yes. Your camera is four to the fucking K. Yeah, bro. This is what you're supposed to have, because we talked about it privately. Shooting a show, right?
Starting point is 00:00:18 Drop the new show yet. I'm still in beta. Well, I can't I can only lead a beautiful horse to water. I can't make him drink I have switched all my recording audience to 4k because we'd hope to put this on youtube, but donald refuses He has the camera but will not do it It is being used appropriately right now. You know what the camera's somewhere in Like one of my camera bags right now and and I really do have to find it. Listen, if you don't want to do the thing, you don't have to do the thing.
Starting point is 00:00:48 I thought you were going to, like... I want to do the thing! I thought you were going to put this show on YouTube and shoot it well. I want to do the thing! It doesn't sound like you want to do the thing. I really want to do the thing. I'm trying to get into something. Well, it would take you, like, four minutes. No, a little bit longer than that.
Starting point is 00:01:03 But I want to do the thing. All right, well, we don't have to, the audience doesn't have to be bored with this bullshit. It's not bullshit, Zach. Well, the audience doesn't care if we shoot this on 4K or not. I just happen to care. That's the director in you.
Starting point is 00:01:18 You're always looking at the new gadget like it's a new toy. Well, speaking of new gadgets, I wanna thank Danil. It's Dan a whole, I want to thank Danel. It's Danel, right? I want to thank Danel. He came over here to my apartment, Donald, and he set up a whole, I got a whole situation here.
Starting point is 00:01:34 I got the whole setup. You and Danel hung out outside of work? Yeah, we did. He came over. Zach made me an espresso. It was delicious. I made him espresso. You made it from scratch or did the machine made it for you?
Starting point is 00:01:47 Well, the machine- The machine was involved, even if it's- The machine was involved either way. You know exactly what I'm talking about. He's asking if I- Don't act like you don't know. Was it Kroger? Are you asking if it's a single push button machine?
Starting point is 00:01:58 Yeah, exactly. Or if it requires multiple steps, okay. Or did you have to freaking, t-t-t-t-t and, brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Sonoma, I peruse by the... Yeah, but you gotta learn. I actually found this guy on Instagram, whose whole thing is like, he'll teach you. Like you DM him and then he gives you like a one hour workshop, like everything you need to know
Starting point is 00:02:36 to like do it right. And I was about to do it, but I didn't buy the machine. I look at that thing, it's so shiny and beautiful. Come on now. Do you know how beautiful that thing is? My problem is I already have so much fucking caffeine in my life. Like, do I need a reason to have more?
Starting point is 00:02:51 But you're making it yourself. You're grinding the beans. I know, you gotta grind the beans. Get your 18 grams. And you gotta get, oh, you know about weight and shit, Daniel, he's saying 18 grams. This motherfucker smoke weed. Yeah, cause there's a scale. Oh, look at that. Oh, it's about weight and shit, Dan. He's saying 18 grams. This motherfucker smoke weed. Yeah, cause there's a scale.
Starting point is 00:03:06 Oh, look at that. Oh, did you make that? Did you fucking make that? Yeah, I mean, I have been getting into making my own espresso, yeah. Okay, so turn around, man. You're a gentleman, you're a gentleman, Danel. You're a gentleman because this nigga made you
Starting point is 00:03:20 pod fucking express espresso. Were you judging me, Danel? And you were very, very nice about it. You were very, very nice about it, especially because you can make your own. Daniel, I have a question. Did you feel like, because I thought I was making a nice gesture,
Starting point is 00:03:37 but did you feel like, oh, this motherfucker has an espresso, it's bullshit, I don't want it? Not at all, not even for a split second. I was so touched. Also. You're so lovely, Daniel, so lovely. The fact that you have actual espresso cups,
Starting point is 00:03:50 the actual espresso cups, you should have seen the presentation with the little dish. Oh yeah, I also put it on a, not only did I give him an espresso cup, I put it on the little mini dish. But you did the thing. You know how Daniel felt? This is how Daniel felt.
Starting point is 00:04:01 You honor me. You honor me. Truly. But Daniel, like Donald's saying, I didn't know, like was there judgment because you're sort of an espresso snob? No, that's the thing. It's to me, like for me, this is my-
Starting point is 00:04:15 You said the exact amount of weight. Yeah, you said grams. The grinds have to be- That's a good double shot. When they are put into, oh nice. You honor me. That's a good double shot. Wow.
Starting point is 00:04:27 Interesting. You honor me. This is one of my personal interests. I love coffee. I found myself spending way too much money at your Starbucks's or whatever. I love making lattes. It was just something that I was like,
Starting point is 00:04:38 the espresso machine was on sale for Cyber Monday. It was one of these things where I was like, you know what, I'm just gonna do this. I feel it. Because when you do it, you got to invest. You got to invest after you buy, because it's such an expensive machine. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:04:50 It's not one of those. I mean, look at it. It's like $3.99 at, you know what I mean? The low end is $3.99 for espresso machines, right? So you look at that, that's not, come on, man. You know what I can do with $3.99? I could buy a lot of weed for 399, bro. Like I could get down for a month or two.
Starting point is 00:05:07 Donald doesn't look at cash in terms of cash. He looks at it in terms of how much weed he could buy. Well, in the budget, that shit's for real, man. You look at that shit, you know what I'm saying? That's a lot of weed. You're like, all right, I'm for a month, two months. Unless you're- Unless you're Donald,
Starting point is 00:05:21 then you're like, that's a week, two weeks. Yeah, you know, sometimes that it is like that sometimes. But my point is you have to invest after you buy that machine. You have to invest. And you got to get a good grinder too. It's like, you got to get a good grinder, Danil. I went down the wormhole on Instagram and it's all about the grind.
Starting point is 00:05:38 Really fine grind. Got to get a good one. And it's all about the quality of the, there's a, the cinematographer for shrinking has this whole setup on the camera truck and he, one of his assistants, he'll be like, you look a little tired. You want one? And I'm like, I'll have one. And then one of his assistants like five minutes later brings you like the most beautiful, you know,
Starting point is 00:06:00 homemade espresso with fucking oat milk in it. Amazing. That rules. It's gotta be soothing for your mental, you know what I mean? Like if I'm at work all day and I need a break, I don't wanna break in my, on the toilet in my, I mean, that's nice too. Don't get it twisted.
Starting point is 00:06:18 I'm not following. Start this paragraph over. I'm so lost. You know exactly what I mean. Sometimes you're like, I'm gonna go take a shit. And all you really do at work Don't everybody out there does it is you go in the bathroom and you sit on the toilet and you just take a fucking break Everybody does it no matter what now imagine if your break could be creative like you know, you're being art You're being an artist as well. I'm gonna make you a fucking coffee
Starting point is 00:06:41 I'm gonna make myself a fucking coffee. Not only is it gonna be a coffee, it's gonna be a coffee that's gonna fucking zip you or myself awake and we're gonna be back up in this bitch again. Daniel, how long does it take you, from start to finish, how long does it take you to make a beautiful cappuccino? Right now, it takes me five minutes.
Starting point is 00:06:58 45 minutes. One hour. I'm getting better at it. Takes me five minutes. So you put the scale on the grinder and then the beans, the ground beans come out and then you do a certain amount of grams, 18 you said. 18.
Starting point is 00:07:16 And then you have to tamp it, what's it called? Tamp it. You have to tamp it down. Yeah, it's called the vice distribution technique where you take a very thin pin and break up. Because what happens is when you grind the beans, they tend to clump up. And when you put that into your espresso machine, even after you tamp it, you can have what's called channeling, and it doesn't really fully infuse. Oh my god, I don't need the guy, Daniel. I'm just going to
Starting point is 00:07:36 hire you. You just mix it up. You mix it up with like they make these really thin pins. Imagine like a bunch of little needles on like a little like cork thing. Yeah. Mix it up to mix up the beans and so that there's no clumps in there. Then you tap it down. Then you put it in your machine. Double shot. You're going for like a two to one ratio of weight of beans to the yield of espresso.
Starting point is 00:07:56 So it's like 18 grams of beans. You want 36 grams of espresso, just about thirty five, thirty second extraction ish. And then you got yourself a nice cup of coffee. Dan, you could steal Casey from me. 35, 30 second extraction ish. And then you got yourself a nice cup of coffee. Wow. Dan, you could steal Casey from me. Right now. Right.
Starting point is 00:08:09 You could steal her right now with this conversation. I'm gonna tell you, ain't nothing like coffee in the morning. Especially when taken, when made with love. It sounds like you're making it with love every time. I've got these needles, I stick it in there. I fucking, come on, bro. It's really there. The more he talks about the weight of it, Donald,
Starting point is 00:08:27 the more I feel like how much he must've been looking down on my Nespresso pod. Not at all. That's what I'm trying to say, man. Not at all. He was even looking at the brand of machine it was. He was like, what the fuck is that? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:39 I gotta say, I feel really good. KitchenAid. It was a nice shot. It was a nice shot. This motherfucker got a KitchenAid. Well, Donald, did you ask, were you wondering if I weighed my Nespresso pod? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:48 I don't know how many grams. I was gonna leave it as a scale. I don't know how many grams it is, but I can weigh it for you. I gotta tell you guys a sweet story, what? Go ahead, you go first, and then I got three things I gotta talk about. They're all fast.
Starting point is 00:09:00 It's so pretty today in New York City. It's like the day, listen, if you ever wanna see if you like New York City, walk around in May on a beautiful day. It is 75 degrees and sunny and everyone is so excited. The sun dresses are out, the fucking tank tops are out. Everyone's feeling themselves. Everyone's got a little pep in their step.
Starting point is 00:09:21 The tulips are out, right, Daniel? It's gorgeous. And I'm walking around and it's so beautiful. And I'm sitting in the park and I'm listening to some music and a guy walks by me and he doesn't tap my shoulder. He doesn't try to get my attention. He just turns his phone around to show me that he's listening to fake doctors, real friends.
Starting point is 00:09:42 And then he taps his heart and keeps walking. I love that. I burst into tears out of emotion on that. So that's so beautiful. It was so sweet because he wasn't asking anything. He wasn't like, let's get a selfie. He was just like, showed me, then tapped his heart and kept moving.
Starting point is 00:09:58 I love that. That's appreciation right there. Wow. We have great friends. That's appreciation homes. That was, that felt really nice. Like I just just like and also the fact that I was coming home to do an episode It just made me feel really nice Anyway, I'm actually going to record it now. Yeah, I'm gonna go do the thing
Starting point is 00:10:20 Three things wait, okay. Go ahead. You go first, go ahead. No, you go first. I don't wanna know. No, I don't wanna know, baby. Girl. I want you to have your time, baby. G-U-R-L. G-U-R-L. Girl.
Starting point is 00:10:31 Did you watch that Tom Brady roast? Oh my gosh. Oh my God. That was crazy. That was a part of my three things. Did you watch the whole thing? I told you to watch the whole thing. I have just watched, what you call it, segments of it.
Starting point is 00:10:43 Oh, you just, I knew you would just watch clips. No, but we need to sit down, my wife and I, what you call it, segments of it. Oh, you dust you, I knew you would just watch clips. No, but we need to sit down, my wife and I, and watch this shit, because this sounds like it's up my alley. It is crazy, I love roasts. I would never wanna be anywhere near one, but I love to watch one. I like to watch one with my hand over my eyes,
Starting point is 00:10:58 and with one eye peeking out, I like to watch a roast. All right, what else do you wanna talk about? Okay, so there was that. Second thing is, look, I've been in movies before and they have gone on to do very well. But then when re-released 20 years later, they don't necessarily perform like they did when they were released the original time. Why? What got re-released?
Starting point is 00:11:28 The Phantom Menace got re-released and did 14.5 million in the fucking box office, dude. This shit comes on TBS and TNT weekly, weekly, and they put it in the fucking theaters and 14.5 million dollars was made for Disney. Holy shit. Well, that just shows how many people out there are like you, Donald. I'm surprised you didn't. Oh, you don't like going to the movies,
Starting point is 00:11:54 but there's so many people out there. I don't. Listen, if anything, it's promising for fucking movie theaters. If you have product that everybody wants to see, you can freaking make some movies can still be released in theaters. I think that that's, I don't know that that anecdote is really going to, going to prove that there's that many properties that can do now. It's just the Star Wars, as you know,
Starting point is 00:12:20 is a religion for people like you. And so it's like making a pilgrimage to the theater to honor the film. I mean, I don't know that there's that many films that are gonna get re-released and make $15 million. Well, there are a lot of movies that are like that for people though, is what I'm trying to say as well. There are a lot of movies that could be re-released.
Starting point is 00:12:38 Really? On the level of the Star Wars religion? Absolutely. Well, did a 20th, 20th, 25th anniversary release of The Mummy as well. Didn't do Star Wars box office numbers was sold out and every theater in my area for like the three showings they had across the weekend. So I think we releases are definitely we're seeing like resurgence. They did one for Alien and a bunch of others. but I don't think we're going to see frequently like a number two box.
Starting point is 00:13:09 That's like a Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter sort of thing. That's what I'm trying to, if it's the right property, people will definitely go and see. Like I would see, you know what I would see in theaters again? I'd fucking go see Jaws in theaters. Fucking are you kidding me? Right now? Are you kidding? That would be fucking dope to watch right now. That was my best film experience ever.
Starting point is 00:13:28 I saw it on a beach in Cannes and it was. Oh, amazing. It was wonderful. I love a screening degree. You know, to Donald's point about the re-screening, one of my favorite events that happens every year, and I think it's mostly New York and L.A., but there's a Ghibli Fest every year where they reach re-screen a lot of the Hayao Miyazaki library. You can just go and see My Neighbor Totoro.
Starting point is 00:13:49 You can see Princess Motonoke. You can go see Castle in the Sky in a theater again. Every time that one of those showings happen, it happens for like a week or two every year, but those showings sell out. It doesn't, again, those are pretty totemic in the space of anime. 365 days a year too. doesn't again like those are pretty like totemic in the space of like anime. Three hundred sixty five days a year. He's a huge director.
Starting point is 00:14:08 But like I think there might be a space for these kinds of like collection type re-screenings where it may not be one movie. But like if there was like all like how many Jaws are there like three to I don't know how many Jaws. I don't know about one is the only one I want to see. I don't necessarily see. I'm saying if there was like some sort of collection that might be like a Spielberg collection. Sure.
Starting point is 00:14:34 Yeah, exactly. Direct. Man, that should have made a lot of money, man. I want to tell you that I'm in theaters again right now. That'd be fun. I wanted to also tell you that Daniel, because he delivered a whole setup to your New York He also programmed a couple new jams into the sound machine Donald are you ready? I want to meet scrubs. Oh, and I want to meet black scrubs, too Finally
Starting point is 00:14:59 Don't you happy we finally have it. I love that. I want to meet scrubs. Oh, and I want to meet black scrubs, too And I want to meet black scrubs, too And he also gave me this So I can cue it on my own All right, let's get in the show What's your third thing go ahead? All right, my third one is this I Know Joel's been watching it cuz she has it on her chest. Mmm Show Donald Cunison. Okay, I got my third one. Can I just watch my third one? What's your third thing? Go ahead. All right, my third one is this. I know Joelle's been watching it because she has it on her chest.
Starting point is 00:15:30 But have you been watching X-Men? The new people out there, have you been watching this cartoon? No, I haven't watched that. Was it called 97? X-Men 97, yeah. X-Men 97, yeah. It's so good.
Starting point is 00:15:42 This might be the best, this is holy fucking shit, dude. This is like the best soap opera I've ever watched in my life. It's truly, it's so good. This might be the best. This is holy fucking shit, dude. This is like the best soap opera I've ever watched in my life. It's truly. It's so dramatic and so adult. In my fucking life. Yeah, it's so appropriate. The children don't let them watch it.
Starting point is 00:15:53 It's crazy. No, it's not for kids. No, they show a whole chest of side and it's so- This is like the best soap opera. Oh my gosh. Crazy. I was like- Dude.
Starting point is 00:16:01 I was reeling. I was reeling. I can't believe they did half the things they did. Everything happens to the mutants in this, motherfucker. Everything happens to the mutants in this motherfucker. Everything happens to the mutants in this. Everything, this is like, I can't wait to see how this translates to the Marvel universe.
Starting point is 00:16:14 Cause this is supposed to be the entrance, this in Deadpool and all of that stuff. So I can't wait to- So they made sort of like an, they made sort of like an R rated cartoon kind of thing? You know, the cartoon was always like for teenagers, meant for teenagers when it was on television. I think it was like eight seasons of The X-Men, some shit like that.
Starting point is 00:16:33 Yeah, there's six or seven, I think. Six or some shit like that, right? And it's a lot of stories, but it's, but it's, it's, it was stories that people cared about. You know what I mean? They would, they, people followed, once you followed it, once you were in, people cared about, you know, I mean, they would be people follow once you followed it, once you were in, you were in. You know what I mean? Yeah, for some context, this is in the 90s.
Starting point is 00:16:51 This is around Batman, the animated series. So we see a lot of like superhero stuff making their way into animation, which sort of was feeding off the boom of the movies that were coming out. Batman 89 and so forth. And it was great as a Fox show. So it was a Saturday morning. It was actually like it was geared toward children, but it's definitely for an older audience. But when Bota Mayo, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:11 When Bota Mayo came back and wanted to relaunch it, he was like, I'm tired of X-Men always just being about Wolverine, that's boring. Let's do an X-Men 97 comic style show that is about the X-Men. So you get like Storm storylines in here. They turned her into a total badass, gave her her best costume. Amazing. You get the Phoenix storyline in a new way.
Starting point is 00:17:32 That's fun. You know, she was a clone. She's totally a clone. It's great. Spoilers. It's a great show. Super well written. Lots of fun. Created by a black queer person. Very enjoyable. Highly recommend. You get to watch. Crushing person. Very enjoyable, highly recommend you get to watch. Crushing it. I mean, it's so easy to watch, man.
Starting point is 00:17:48 It's like, you know, I didn't think I was going to because I wasn't, you know, I watched a little bit of it, but once it started getting into like Mystique was the mom of all of these kids and all of that shit, I was like, this is like everything happens to the X-Men and this shit. They get kidnapped. they get freaking, you know what I mean? Everything happens. But now, with this one, they got me, they got me.
Starting point is 00:18:13 And it looks so good, it's so tasty. And it's so good too, right? It looks really beautiful animation, yeah. Yeah, man. Yeah, it's, yeah, that invincible, I liked invincible too. Although this last season was too short. I wanna meet scrubs. Oh, I want to meet black scrubs too
Starting point is 00:18:27 okay Five, six, seven, eight! Here's some stories about a show we made About a bunch of docs and nurses and a janitor who loved to hang out I said here's some stories that we all should know So gather round to hear our Gather round to hear our All right, everyone. This is the last episode of JD ever in the series Scrubs. Wow.
Starting point is 00:18:58 I noticed that. It's called my last episode. Right? Oh no, it's not. It should be called my last episode. What's it called, it's called my last episode, right? Oh no, no, it's not. It should be called my last episode. What's it called? Our stuff gets real.
Starting point is 00:19:10 Damn dude. Our stuff gets what? You should watch the show. It's, don't say it's good. Our stuff gets real. You want to talk about it? Yeah, it starts with JD poorly building a crib and That was funny, I laughed my ass off because what the fuck is the wheel doing?
Starting point is 00:19:29 Why is there a wheel? Why is there a wheel? Yeah, he found the wheel. What the fuck did he do? I'm gonna put the wheel here. You know, listen, I always wanted long distance walkie talkies. I think there's an app for your phone where you can actually have a long distance walkie talkie. And I got an ad for a walkie talkie
Starting point is 00:19:54 that's like a separate unit that really is what this is in the show, meaning you can walkie talkie someone anywhere in the country. But I feel like you and Hai would have so much fun with that, Donald, in the country. But I feel like you and I would have so much fun with that Donald in real life. I don't think, I think I would go to bed with it. I feel like you wouldn't pick up if I was like, come in.
Starting point is 00:20:12 We would have nothing to say. J Cobra. What did you call me? Oh, you call me J Cobra and I call you Panther Claw. Come in Panther Claw. We'd have so, we'd have nothing to say, but so much to do and say, what are you doing? What are you watching?
Starting point is 00:20:28 I'm watching fucking Ahsoka. I'm watching Ahsoka right now. Yeah. And I'd be like, hmm, put Casey on. He's in here watching Ahsoka. Hems's. Hems's is in here watching Ahsoka. Hems's is in here watching the Soka. Hemses is in here watching the Soka. When did she become the freaking, the freaking, the prospector? Hemses is in here watching the Soka.
Starting point is 00:20:57 Oh, he's in here watching the Soka. And now he's watching that new X-Man thing. He sure does love it. And now he's watching that new X-Man thing. He sure does love it. He sure does love the sci-fi. He loves sci-fi. I can't get him to watch anything but the X-Man cartoon. I tried to get him to watch one of those shows where a psycho killer kills people and it's
Starting point is 00:21:24 a documentary series, but he just likes the sci-fi. That's what she sounds like. My wife does not sound like that. I would never be able to have sex with her. That's what she said. Now come on and give it to me, daddy. Listen, Zack, I love you.
Starting point is 00:21:54 Zack, I love you. That's so much better. Are you going to give it to me? I sure would like some D. No. Oh my God. Baby, I'm hungry for some D. No, you know what?
Starting point is 00:22:09 I'm all right tonight, honey. None of you can talk like that. I'm a... You can put on the X-Men in the background while you hit it from the back. I couldn't do it. Oh, shit. All right. So this is a ha.
Starting point is 00:22:29 Fuck yeah. Harder. Just let me know when you're fixing the bust. Oh, my God. All right. Here on fake doctors real friends. We see he's not very handy. JDK is not handy. Okay.
Starting point is 00:23:03 He gets a long distance walking. Talking with Turk. Turk calls him J Cobra. He callsK is not handy. Okay. He's not handy. He gets a long distance walkie talkie with Turk. Turk calls him J Cobra. He calls Turk Panther Claw. Yes. Lucy and Cole are still boning. Again, we're talking about their sex. Every single episode of this show opens without fail talking about Cole and Lucy's sex life.
Starting point is 00:23:18 They're still doing it. She's ashamed. But apparently this dude, I don't know what it is that the lady's like cause I'm a man and y'all don't ever really express your shit to me, honey. Too much? What are you talking about? No, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:23:35 I think that was meant, that was like when you, when you accidentally post a DM, I think that was meant for your wife, but you said it to millions of people. Did I do that once? No. No. But do you see who did that? But somebody else did. Barbra Streisand did it. Barbra Streisand. Oh Did I do that once? No. No. But do you see who did that? Barbara Streisand did it.
Starting point is 00:23:47 Barbara Streisand. Oh my God, that was so funny. She meant to- Wait, Barbara Streisand did it once? Yeah, Melissa McCarthy posted a beautiful picture of herself and I guess Barbara Streisand meant to DM her because she put in the comments like, you look so great, are you taking no Zempik?
Starting point is 00:24:01 Oh my gosh. And then she went and put on her stories like, I'm so sorry, I meant to like send that privately or something. Melissa was very chill about it. She was like, I just love Barbra Streisand. She's Barbra Streisand, can't be bad. No, I was just saying, I was just saying every guy believes that they know what women want, but they don't necessarily do.
Starting point is 00:24:20 And it's not like women are giving the secret out. That's what I was saying. I think it's safe to say that Dave Franco must be skilled in bed. I mean, sorry, the character Cole. I mean, I'm sure Dave Franco is too, but the character Cole must be good in bed because Lucy really puts up, he has nothing about him.
Starting point is 00:24:35 He's handsome, obviously. He's very handsome. There's nothing redeemable about him. Nothing. I thought through this deep into the season, he was gonna start becoming more likable. No. I mean, at least he's trying now though.
Starting point is 00:24:50 At least he's trying. He's trying to be a better student. Even though he's piggybacking on what everybody else is doing so he can get his jet ski and stuff like that. Yeah, he wants to get a jet ski. That's his only motivation. But at least he's trying. I don't know, man.
Starting point is 00:25:06 I don't get it. I would have thought by this point, there would be some redeeming something about the character. Yeah, the only thing we know about him, the only thing we really know about him, it's pretty, you know, is that Lucy loves having sex with him. In fact, we know that we learned they had sex twice
Starting point is 00:25:21 this morning before coming to class. Right. He's, she's very communicative as a lover, you know what I mean? Because he knows and she knows exactly what they want. It's really weird for somebody to hate somebody so much, but give them that much information about what gets them... I don't know, man. It really makes no sense. The relationship that I really like in this show is fucking Drew and Denise, man. Like even the whole thing with them getting caught kissing
Starting point is 00:25:54 and Cox saying, you know, you guys are, I need somebody who's gonna be my confidant, who I can talk to and not say anything, just let me talk. And they do the whole nose thing and she's late with it in the closet. I really enjoyed that. And he escapes and she's like, you're dead to me. I like that.
Starting point is 00:26:13 I thought that was such a, I find their relationship refreshing. I wish that the stories revolved around them more than it did around Cole and Lucy because all they talk about is sex. That's it. That's their relationship. Let's take a break. We'll be right back after these fine words. We should tease the audience, Donalds. That's what good podcasters do. We're going to have both Carrie Bichet and Eliza Coupe
Starting point is 00:26:48 on the next episode. Right, Joelle? That's the plan. I just saw Carrie Bichet and Madame Webb. Yeah. She's in it. She plays the mom. She has the... She's Peter Parker's mom.
Starting point is 00:26:59 No, she's not Peter Parker's mom. She's Madame Webb's mom. Oh, she's in the jungle with spiders. Yeah, she... She's the one in the jungle with with spiders. Yeah, she's the one in the jungle with the spiders. Yeah, she's the one with the monologue in the beginning. What is the line exactly in the jungle with his... It's so long. Hold on. Just find it. We need to reference it. So, Carrie Bichet is actually the person that's
Starting point is 00:27:21 being discussed in this sentence? Yes. He was in the Amazon with my mom when she was researching spiders right before she died. Yes. So Carrie Bichet is the mom that was researching spiders? Yes. Good for her. Well, she's coming on the show with Eliza Coop.
Starting point is 00:27:38 Donald, you're not showing much enthusiasm about this. I can't, I just said I saw her in Madame Webb. What are you talking about? I know, but let me try it. Let me do another take where I tell you that they're coming on. Okay, go ahead. All right, you represent the audience.
Starting point is 00:27:50 So we want to, like in this scenario, you have to like react. And I want to announce something very exciting. Next episode, we have both Eliza Coop and Carrie Bichet. Holy shit! Yep. Yeah, they got Eliza Coop and Keri Bichet on this motherfucker! Yup.
Starting point is 00:28:07 I'm tuning in on the next episode! Your acting was as good as this. You haven't gone for a while. I thought I'd grown a bit since then. No, you've crushed it. I thought I'd grown a bit since. Anyway, that's going to be fun to talk to Eliza and Keri Bichet. I'm so glad we worked that out.
Starting point is 00:28:23 That's great. I would love to hear how they feel about this season of Scrubs, what their experience was. Because they were very, I felt like they were very clicky, like the younger cast, because I didn't get invited out like back in the day when we used to go out Zach. Well, we can bring that up. We can bring it up and say, why did you guys not invite Donald to your young people hangouts? Yeah, I was only 30. Yeah, you were probably over it. They were being young people and you were probably like,
Starting point is 00:28:52 I'm going home to Casey. I was only 38. Did you have times where you felt like, oh, the kids are all going out and they didn't invite me? 35. Yeah, you know, I don't care, man. I do. I want to bring it up with Kari Bichet.
Starting point is 00:29:08 Fuck them little motherfuckers, man. I'm going to bring it up with them. Because I don't like going out no more anyway, so fuck them, you know what I'm saying? Right? You know what I'm saying? Okay, it feels like something you might want to work out with them.
Starting point is 00:29:23 Cole gets a jet ski. The kids all have to, these med students all have to dissect the chamber of the heart. That's going to be their, one of their final exams. And this, actually this episode actually goes all the way back to the first episode with Ben, the, her Lucy's first patient,
Starting point is 00:29:40 which is weird because she shouldn't have a patient, but her first patient was this man Ben, and it also is the cadaver that she's experimenting on and dissecting in. Yeah, I don't know if you would ever have a cadaver that was one of somebody you dealt with. I don't know if that's a real thing or not. I don't know. I don't know the, I mean, It feels like, it feels like they wouldn't do that to you. Like here's the guy who died when you first got here, now dissect him.
Starting point is 00:30:06 But it's good for TV drama. Yeah, I actually liked this too, that the dead body came back to life and was having conversations with her. I thought that was kind of cool. I didn't like the fact that the dead body was like, please don't hurt me. And all of a sudden started whining and bitching.
Starting point is 00:30:23 I thought it would have been better if it was like, no, that's not it. Or, you know what I mean? Or something like that, but. Or if he was like, come on, you gotta do this. Like talking her into doing it. Right, exactly. But instead the body, it starts off where she,
Starting point is 00:30:38 where Ben is like, you can totally do this. We're gonna, we're in this together. And then all of a sudden it's, don't cut me, please don't cut me open. And she can't do it. And it just didn't, but I liked the idea of her being able to talk to the first person she met when, the first sick person she met when she was in the hospital
Starting point is 00:30:58 as a student for the first time. JD really wants pregnancy sex and he's limbering up for it. Loose limbs make limber lovers, is what he's saying as he stretches. Loose limbs make limber lovers. And he's put rose petals all over the place. Do you find that to be true? I don't stretch before copulation, do you?
Starting point is 00:31:24 No. Maybe I should try it. I don't stretch before copulation, do you? No. Maybe I should try it. I wonder. I wonder after a nice little yoga. Yeah, but I'm not, you know, when you get in the mood and it's happening, you're not like, hold on, let me stretch.
Starting point is 00:31:36 I really wish that's how it worked. You might ruin the mood. I really wish that's how it worked. Hold on, the mood. I really wish that's how it worked. Hold on, let me just get my, just wanna get my quads. Yeah. Let me get my hammies. Yep, let me get, okay.
Starting point is 00:31:54 Okay. Okay, pull on that, babe. Pull on that. Okay, I'm ready. There we go. Crack my back. Put it over there, put it over there. Can you crack my back?
Starting point is 00:32:02 Right. But she swats away the rose petals. She doesn't care. She's not paying attention to any of the romantic gestures. She's eating beef. Yeah, she's eating just beef. What is it? Cambodian food?
Starting point is 00:32:13 A Cambodian beef salad. There's no greens in it. It's just beef. Yeah, and she says that he can't touch her boobs because he tries to go in from the top and she's like, no boobs. And she's like, don't touch my thighs because they're chafing. She's really not in the mood.
Starting point is 00:32:29 Not only is she not in the mood, but she makes it so that he's not in the mood really. He's still in the mood and she offers him the beef salad and he's like, no, thanks. I've already had diarrhea. Let me hold your hair back. That made me laugh. No, thank you. I've already had diarrhea. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:42 I mean, Elliot's certainly not in the mood. Let me hold your hair back. That made me laugh. No, thank you, I've already had diarrhea today. Yeah, I mean, Elliot's certainly not making, she's making it clear that she's not interested in sex with JD. Well, she's just not, she doesn't feel sexy. She's not saying she hasn't wanted with JD. She's saying, I don't feel sexy, is what she says. Right, now that's pretty far into,
Starting point is 00:33:05 I mean, she's about to pop. Is there any, when you've had babies, is there any like time where you're supposed to stop having sex or you can have sex right up until the end? You can have sex whenever you want. Oh, right up until the end. Yeah, they never say, actually, the semen from your semen is,
Starting point is 00:33:21 I don't know what the fucking shit is, but apparently it does something. I don't know about a doctor, I'm a fake doctor, Zach, you're my real friend. I know, the fucking shit is, but apparently it does something. I'm not a doctor, I'm a fake doctor. Zach, you are my friend. I know, but I wanna hear, but I believe that semen has something. Well, we can Google it. That's why we have Dan and Joelle to look up.
Starting point is 00:33:34 Oh, God. Does semen? I don't want them to go into their Google, does semen? No, this isn't pornographic. It's informational for the audience. Someone listening now is very pregnant and they're wondering how long can I have sex up until? And then apparently you're telling people
Starting point is 00:33:47 that the semen is good for making the baby come out. No, I don't know if it's the, I don't know if that's what it is or if it's a- Maybe just the intercourse helps loosen up the area and the baby- And the lubricant and the relaxium or some shit like that that's released. My guess is that if the baby's ready to come out, having sex, you know, makes things wriggle around.
Starting point is 00:34:10 Go ahead, Joelle. Okay, so this is from parents.com. Yeah, we trust them. Some experts believe semen and sperm may be able to help prevent preeclampsia and even decrease morning sickness. Yes, really. Wow.
Starting point is 00:34:27 Well, there you go. Take some of that seed in the morning. I prescribed some semen. Are you having morning sickness? Do you want it to go away? Can you imagine you go up to your wife, she's like puking in the toilet like, honey, you know what it says on parents.com.
Starting point is 00:34:44 Oh my God. Open up. Open up. she's like puking into her like honey you know what it says on parents.com open up open up i don't think it's oh honey i i know that you're puking right now and this may seem crazy but look at this parents.com i'm just gonna put this parents.com article in the bowl in front of you feel free to peruse. Yeah. I'll scroll for you, honey. Since you're using both hands to cup the bowl, I'll just scroll. Well look at that.
Starting point is 00:35:12 I don't want to do it. I personally don't want to do it. Well, can you also look up if I thought I heard that intercourse itself can like if you're really ready to go and really ready to pop and you're trying to get the- Inducing labor. Inducing labor is the term I was looking for. I already does that too. I did a whole movie where there was a scene in it
Starting point is 00:35:32 where the couple bangs to try to induce labor. It doesn't work though. Okay. Okay, Joel, go ahead. Again, parents.com really coming through for us today. I love them. It's where I go. It's where I go for everything.
Starting point is 00:35:47 Not even just this stuff. They have all the good information there. So they say experts generally agree that having sex will not kickstart labor if your body isn't ready. But if your body is already preparing for labor, whether you know it or not, it may help things along by supporting the changes that are already in progress. It may also help prime the body for labor. Everybody wants to be primed for labor.
Starting point is 00:36:09 Yeah, I think it's good. I think it's probably good for priming the body for labor. Primed for labor. Primed for labor. Primed for labor. Baby. Okay, let's get ready. Are you ready? Wait, I just want to know if you would ever say to Casey, Casey, are you ready to prime for labor?
Starting point is 00:36:32 No, because we ain't having no more kids. Really? Oh, you got tied up. Listen, man, did you get you tied up? You tied it up. I love my children. Yeah, you do. I don't want any more of them. I know you did a double knot in your vast deference. And I don't want any more.
Starting point is 00:36:52 And I know this for, listen. Yeah. They turn on you at a very young age. Their kids turn on you? Hold on, let me write this down. Listen, write it down. Parents. I'm writing it down. I got a pen.
Starting point is 00:37:05 Young parents who are hugging their children, listening to our podcast right now. And they think their child is sweet. And they think it's wonderful. Look at your child. Okay, I'm gonna just do, I'm gonna hold this stuff down. I'm gonna hold my water bottle and pretend I'm looking. In the eyes, look at the child.
Starting point is 00:37:22 Know that that child, that beautiful, sweet little baby that's in your arms right now. Yeah. Hold on, I'm gonna pretend I'm breastfeeding it. Go ahead. Oh, God. Is gonna one day tell you to shut up. Oh.
Starting point is 00:37:37 Tell you, oh, God, you're so annoying. It's gonna say some of the most meanest things. I never loved you. I hate you. Oh, this is horrible. They're gonna turn on you. Wow. And your spouse.
Starting point is 00:37:53 Ouch. Are there any positives to having a child? They're so cute. You can take them to Disneyland. Yeah. You have a reason to go to Disneyland. All right, we're going to take a break. When we come back, we're going to talk more about the TV show Scrubs. I want to meet Scrubs.
Starting point is 00:38:10 Oh, and I want to meet Black Scrubs, too. And we're back! Durgle, Durgle? All right. Gurgle, Gurgle. I miss those days. Elliot has a plan for post-pregnancy. She's got a whole system she's telling,
Starting point is 00:38:29 who's she telling that to? Denise? She's telling it to Denise. And Denise is like, next time we go around, maybe you don't talk anymore. Yeah, so she's giving her all this, she's got everything like Elliot neurotically planned out for when she's gonna have sex and when she's gonna have postpartum, thinking that she's giving her all this. She's got everything like Elliot neurotically planned out for when she's gonna have sex and when she's gonna have postpartum,
Starting point is 00:38:46 thinking that she's got it all under control. There's an old couple that are both have cancer and are terminal and are kind of competing with each other for saying whose cancer is worse. Jordan comes into the hospital very upset and- Holy shit, Jordan, for the first time this season. Yes, well, they were across at another stage making Cougar Town.
Starting point is 00:39:10 So this, you're right, this is the first time that Jordan's come to the season nine. Season nine. Yeah. Anyway, she wants Cox to make sure he does his will and she wants everything. And because she's... I think it would have been better if Lucy and Denise,
Starting point is 00:39:26 I'm sorry, if Denise and Drew were around for the Jordan return situation so that they could see what they look like and see the parallels and everything like that. That's funny. And I think they missed that opportunity. Drew was there, but Drew didn't find her attractive and everything like that. That's funny. And I think they missed that opportunity. Drew was there, but Drew didn't find her attractive or anything like that. And I think he should have found everything that she was saying to Cox.
Starting point is 00:39:52 Oh, that's clever. You know what I mean? That should have been like, holy shit, dude, your wife is hot. You know what I mean? Yeah, meanwhile, they had Cole there, who... Right? Isn't Cole there? Or is that later? Yeah, Cole is there. Cole's there too. But he's the one that later? Yeah, Cole is there too, but he's the one that comments on how hot Jordan is.
Starting point is 00:40:09 I see, Cole is attracted to her, yeah. Oh, and then she's like saying, I know- Your mom's a slut. Your mom's a hoe, I know her. Yeah, because they're all from like old money. Yeah. All right, Todd hears that JD, JD's telling Turk and Todd
Starting point is 00:40:24 that he's not gonna have sex for the end of the pregnancy. And Todd's like, he can't fathom, he doesn't understand what's happening. And he goes, you mean she's gonna watch while you do other chicks? Yeah. JD's like, no, no Todd, neither one of us
Starting point is 00:40:41 is gonna be having sex. And he's like, I gotta take a walk five. And then, and then Turks like, he's not handling it well. He didn't handle it well. And then they're told that, JD says that he's told that he can have normal sex in six weeks. That's what I assume the gynecologist has told him.
Starting point is 00:41:04 Is that what you were told when you had your babies? No, I was told don't have sex immediately after. Right, six weeks. Because she is very, very, very, it's not because she's gonna get hurt or anything like that, it's because there's a chance she's gonna get pregnant again, a high chance she'll get pregnant again at this moment.
Starting point is 00:41:24 Really? Yeah. I never knew that. I never knew that. I thought it was cause like, I imagine obviously someone is very sore. No, you can theoretically have sex after you deliver. But that's like Irish, what do they call that? Irish twins? Irish twins.
Starting point is 00:41:42 Yeah, they're born in the same year. Not the same year. Not two same year. Really? Yeah, two separate pregnancies within the same calendar year for Irish twins. That's how you would have an Irish twin, I guess. Yeah, so like if you're born in January and then your brother's born in October or December.
Starting point is 00:42:01 Right, or November. I like when he's going through the sex games they have. He says, you mean we can't play me girl you boy? That's one of their sex games. Yeah, Neanderthal. They play Neanderthal sex. No, I thought you boy. No, but I thought it was I thought it was more like like gender swapping, like JD saying they have a sex game where he's like me girl, you boy. That's not what you thought. So you get so JD gets pegged. Yeah, maybe he gets pegged or she's sticking digits in there. I don't know. But I just know that like it's a gender thing.
Starting point is 00:42:43 Huh? I didn't. Well, you didn't say receive it like that. No,'t know, but I just know that like it's a gender thing. Huh? I didn't. Well, you didn't say receive it like that. No, that's exactly what I thought. I was like, this is a weird way for JD to phrase this. I just didn't say it with like a caveman like, you know, stereotypical dialect that we think of is like me girl, you boy. I was like, are they swapping? Maybe it sounds like it sounds like, but doesn't that sound cavemanish?
Starting point is 00:43:04 Me girl, you boy. It could be both. It could be. It could be. It could be. Why can't it be both? Why not both? And there's a question after it too. Me girl, you boy?
Starting point is 00:43:12 Yeah, they don't know. Oh, you're saying that's why you thought it was caveman? Yeah. That's funny. I read it as like they have many sex games and one is that they switch genders. That probably tracks a little bit better than caveman, but okay. JD says that he's racing against the clock
Starting point is 00:43:33 like Harrison Ford in some kind of Harrison Ford movie. Yeah, I thought that was pretty. I thought you'd like that because you love all things Harrison Ford. And he does race against the clock a lot. He's good at racing against the clock. He's very good at a lot. He's good at racing against the clock. He's very good at racing against the clock. There's nobody better at racing against the clock.
Starting point is 00:43:48 I mean. Who's better at racing against the clock? Liam Neeson. Can race against the clock too. Liam Neeson. Liam Neesons can race against the clock also. And so can Bruce Willie. Bruce Willie can race against the clock pretty well.
Starting point is 00:44:02 Yeah, but I love Harrison. Diehard Bruce Willie can race against the motherf pretty well. Yeah, but I. Bruce Willis can race against the motherfucking clock. The planes were about to lose gas in the sky. No Petro. It was about to rain planes across the United States of America. Not across. Which which which which movie are you talking about?
Starting point is 00:44:23 Die Hard 2. Oh, I only know Die Hard 1. Oh, Die Hard 2 is good too. Really? Die Hard 2 is good, Die Hard 3 is good. It's really got to the legends. Die Hard 3 is not good. Die Hard 3, wait, which one's the one where they, where they, he has to walk through Harlem with the sign on?
Starting point is 00:44:40 That's Die Hard 3. I don't remember liking that one. Oh, you got to go back and watch it. It's better than the ones after that because then he becomes a freaking superhero. Wait, they made Die Hard 3. I don't remember liking that one. Oh, you gotta go back and watch it. It's better than the ones after that because then he becomes a freaking superhero. Wait, they made Die Hard 4? And Skies. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:51 Look, there's one with him and Justin Long that I actually like a lot. I think- What's the one's that? That's Live Free, Die Hard. That's Live Free or Die Hard. I think Die Hard 2 is the one that you're talking about because Die Hard 3 is Die Hard with a Vengeance.
Starting point is 00:45:04 Right, Die Hard 2 is the plane that you're talking about because Die Hard 3 is Die Hard with a Vengeance. Right. Die Hard 2 is the plane. Okay. It is. All right. Die Hard 2 is the planes. Die Hard 1 is the Takanomi Plaza. Nakatomi Plaza. Nakatomi Plaza. Nakatomi Plaza in Century City. So good. Die Hard 2 is the planes coming down. Every time you drive through Century City, don't you think there's Nakatomi Plaza? I do. No, because there's so many freaking buildings now. No, Nakatomi Plaza stands out. Which one is it? It's the one that looks like Nakatomi Plaza.
Starting point is 00:45:37 It's what? Okay, which one? Do you know which one it is? I don't know what the real name is, but they should name it Nakatomi Plaza. And leave the weapon, do you know what building it is when you're driving by that the dude jumps off the building, that they jump off the building? The big hotel one? Nope. It's the white one.
Starting point is 00:45:51 That's not the point. The point is the building in Die Hard is super iconic. Yes. And that you can't miss that building. No, I can't recognize it. I can't recognize it. Are you serious? I don't think so. I think there's a lot of people who can't recognize it. Listeners, when you drive through Century City, if you're gonna visit LA, there's not much to see.
Starting point is 00:46:06 What street is it on? What street is it on? It's on Century Park East, I think. Okay, fine. What street is it on? There's only two major streets there, Avenue of the Stars and Century Park East. And I'm telling you, listeners, if you visit LA,
Starting point is 00:46:21 you're gonna wanna drive through Century City solely to see Natsume Plaza. I know exactly where it is actually. I take it back. Take it back. I take it back. Well, I just want to say that I drive through there all the time and I've never once gone not thought there's Natsume Plaza.
Starting point is 00:46:41 They should rename it, not get so many Plaza. All right, so the idea of a baby moon is introduced. Cole introduces it. JD is a fantasy with really lame, think of two babies on a honeymoon on a green screen. Boo. It's sad that JD has to grow out with a fantasy like that. JD's last fantasy is that. Well, also Cole suggests a baby moon.
Starting point is 00:47:08 He also suggested jazz makes babies gay. Yeah, I don't know why they chose jazz to make babies gay. I mean, it's such a non PC 2024 humor, but if you were going to have to choose one with a gun to your head, I don't think it would be jazz Why? Because why is jazz? I mean I can understand the joke The obvious joke would be musical theater or like, you know, like, you know in I will survive I don't know insert a song here, but jazz I wouldn't have choose jazz
Starting point is 00:47:41 Would you would you have chosen what song would you you have chosen? First I was afraid, I was petrified. Is that a gay song? I don't think that's a gay song. Well, I think it's like a, isn't it like a, isn't it like an- I would think I'm coming out, I want the world to know. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:47:58 Also a very queer anthem. I mean, pick a disco song. I was gonna say disco would be the era that I would probably associate. I wonder what's the most popular, Joelle, can you Google what is the most popular song for drag performers to sing? No, just queer anthem.
Starting point is 00:48:14 What is the queer anthem? Well, we're asking two separate questions. One is what's the most popular queer anthem. It's Padam Padam. And one is the most... Amazing. I don't know what that is. What's Padam Padam? That was the queer anthem of last year.
Starting point is 00:48:29 Kylie Minogue dropped a new song and it's just very fun and very gay. Yeah. Can you tell us another popular queer anthem this year? Just let me know if it's this. Whatcha tryna get into? Whatcha tryna do? I like that. That's a pretty queer anthem right there. What you trying to get into? What you trying to do? I like that. That's a pretty queer anthem right there.
Starting point is 00:48:48 I wish someone remixed that and make it a queer anthem. That would be amazing. I invite our fans to make that a queer anthem. Yeah, if you're one of our fans who knows how to make a queer anthem, you should remix this. Everybody likes a little ass flay. Don't even act like you don't. Alright, I will say this. Go ahead. One of my favorite songs ever, and I think it's everybody's favorite song,
Starting point is 00:49:11 but I feel like this was a queer anthem at one point. Robin is one of my favorite songs ever, Dancing on My Own. It's one of my favorite songs ever made. Great song. It's so good. It's one of the best songs ever made in the history of songs.
Starting point is 00:49:23 Dancing on My Own, who sings that? Robin. It's literally one of the best, ever made in the history of songs. Dancing on my own. Who sings that? Robin. It's literally one of the best. If you listen to the lyrics, I just want to dance all night. I'm all messed up. I'm so out of line. That shit is fire.
Starting point is 00:49:43 Come on now. Still letters and broken bottles. I'm spinning around in circles. That's a queer anthem, Joel. Robin is a queer like icon artist. Yeah. So like folks, she'd have song in the same way they've kind of known or Britney Spears, she drops a song, in the same way they've kindly been Nogue, or Britney Spears, or Madonna drops a song, the gays are gonna check in. That song is old as fuck. That song is like, that song is like almost 10 years old, and it, for like years, for years, that shit pops on the radio and you see everybody,
Starting point is 00:50:18 I don't care where you are, you could be in the motherfucking gap. What happens when you hear it in the cap? You start dancing, that shit is fire. On your own. Do you dance on your own? You dance on your own. Joelle can you give us at least one another anthem?
Starting point is 00:50:34 Another queer anthem that's very popular. Sure. Madonna's Vogue is probably one of the most popular. Janet Jackson's Together Again is actually dedicated to queer friends of hers who died during the AIDS epidemic. So that's like a really good one. Um, what's the hero? Hero by Mariah Carey, also very popular. Really? Yes.
Starting point is 00:50:55 And then a hero comes along. You can see the drag queens performing already. Right. All right. Have you ever been to a drag show, Zach? No, but I actually drove by it. What? Why are you yelling at me? I'm so sorry. I'm just very shocked. It's like the experience of a lifetime. Why don't you invite me? I've never been. Why didn't you invite me?
Starting point is 00:51:13 The Hamburger Mary girls would love you. Oh wait, I passed by that. I went to Rage. I went to one at Rage. I went to the Rage one back in the day. Wait, Hamburger Mary's... Rage closed down! Rage doesn't exist anymore? I don't believe so. There's no reason for you to be this upset. Don't get this upset about Rage closing down? Rage doesn't exist anymore? I don't believe so. There's no reason for you to be this upset.
Starting point is 00:51:26 Don't get this upset about Rage closing, calm down. It was a staple in West Hollywood. I know, we went there for research for Broken Hearts Club. It's the only gay club that I had been in, well, that I know that I had been, other than the Abbey, in Hollywood. I went with Dean Cain, Andrew Keegan Billy Porter to rage amazing was hilarious
Starting point is 00:51:50 Yeah, I've been to the Abbey but hamburger Mary's sorry audience for if you're confused these are all West Hollywood Spots along Santa Monica Boulevard Now I've passed that place and they have a drag brunch, I believe. They do. My wife has hosted it. It's very fun. Really? Mm-hmm. I would love to go to.
Starting point is 00:52:11 Why don't you organize a fake doctors real friends field trip to a drag brunch? Wow. Okay. You asked for this. I just want you to remember I'm very excited about it. It'd be amazing. I love the American Vegas. You'd love that, right?
Starting point is 00:52:25 I would love that. Are you kidding me? That'd be a lot of fun. We're there. All right. We should probably take a break and we should probably keep going with the show because we're off on so many tangents today. We'll be right back after these fine words.
Starting point is 00:52:37 What you trying to get into? What they're shown? What you trying to do? We watch your wizard and I know. And we're back. And we're back. All right, continuing on the show. All right, so Cole doing Edward Scissorhands, right? Cause I don't know why he's doing Edward Scissorhands.
Starting point is 00:53:00 Why is he doing Edward? I like that he got to the fine tuning at the end with the let snip, snip and the snip just, it's ready now. Yeah. Mahoney, Denise will be Cox's sounding board because he wants to rant to her. Mrs. Foster dies, they were married for 47 years
Starting point is 00:53:22 and Elliot cries at the thought of Cox dying at the very thought, and Sarah's very good with that spontaneous tears. That shit was very funny, and she got really emotional, and she got angry face cry too, and that was very funny. She always, she said that, you know, back in the day she had to listen to a sad song, but now she can do it without even listening to a sad song. She just thinks about the right thing.
Starting point is 00:53:44 Yeah, it's, when you have kids. Yeah, it's when you have kids. Yeah, I imagine that you just think about- There's so many things that you can think about that are like, and it's not even about them, it's about you letting them down and automatically. Yeah. Well, Turk and JD keep playing hide and seek with the walkie talkies.
Starting point is 00:54:02 JD is a doctor, but he refers to birth as right before your baby comes out of your special area. Lucy can't cut Ben, she's afraid. Cole says the jet ski is the motorcycle of the sea. I thought that was funny. Elliot says no to the baby moon. Yeah. I thought she'd be into it. She doesn't want it. And the answer is the worst thing ever. Let's to the baby moon. Yeah. I thought she'd be into it. She doesn't want it.
Starting point is 00:54:25 And the answer is the worst thing ever. Let's have the baby moon in the hospital. Who would ever want a baby moon? And it's not even like in a private room. It's like, in like, it looks like the smoking area. I remember me and Michael Mosley doing, loving you is easy cause you're beautiful. For your baby moon and him playing the guitar
Starting point is 00:54:53 and me singing that for Elliot and J.D. Or maybe they couldn't afford it or something. And they cut it and now there's something else there. Oh, I do remember that. That's definitely not in there. That's definitely not in there. That's definitely not in there. Cox says, a wife cannot hear logic from her husband. It must come from a friend, a stranger or Oprah.
Starting point is 00:55:12 I thought that was funny. That was very funny. Donald, is that true? Donald, is that true? No, I don't think my wife necessarily agrees with what Oprah has to say. Maybe what Beyonce has to say, but not necessarily what Oprah got to say. But do Beyonce has to say, but not necessarily what Oprah gotta say.
Starting point is 00:55:25 But do you think that she can hear logic from a friend, a stranger, or Beyonce better than you? Fuck yeah. Yeah. She don't even got a no, right, a stranger, yes. The stranger could be like, yo, that seemed pretty fucked up. And she'd be like, get it. Shit.
Starting point is 00:55:44 Fuck. Did it? Now I gotta go fucking apologize to him. I hate him, but I love him. But I did laugh at this. You know in the part in Can't Buy Me Love when it opens with Patrick Dempsey and you're like, Elliot, do you think there's a Patrick Dempsey movie
Starting point is 00:56:01 I haven't seen? Fuck yeah. That, well, first of all, can't buy me love because it can't buy me love. I went on a tangent and watched a bunch of different Patrick Dempsey movies. There's one where he was like a pizza delivery guy and he becomes a hoe. Yeah. Same thing. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:56:23 I don't think I ever saw that one, but he's like a gigolo pizza man. Yeah. There was one of those and then there was, what else was there? I'm trying to think, did he do action? I don't think I know the Pat Shademsi catalog as well as you do. It was always like a romantic comedy,
Starting point is 00:56:40 but the best one by far is Can't Buy Me Love. That one to this day, Cindy Mancini and Ronald Miller will go down in history as one of my favorite high school movies. It's up there with all of the John Hughes movies. Which movie? Can't Buy Me Love. Oh, okay. Gerardo's in it, Rico Suave, the mumbugger's in it. There was three of them, Anthony Michael Hall, John Cryer and Patrick Dempsey. Patrick Dempsey was more of the geek to chic dude always, but John Cryer and Anthony Michael Hall as youths, who always liked the outcasts.
Starting point is 00:57:20 Elliot watches anime pornography. She watches like Legends of the Overfiend and shit like that. She watches anime pornography. She watches like legends of the over fiend and shit like that. She watches crazy dark. What's legends of the over fiend? You gotta, this is something when I was a kid and- It's anime porn? It's not really porn, but it's like porn, man.
Starting point is 00:57:39 It's like, it is porn, but it's not porn. There's a, I don't know how to, it's like a demon, but the demon is like the sex, just look it up. Legends of the Overfiend. It's nothing you can, I think it's even R rated or NC 17, but because it's, it's like the demon turns into a freaking penis hand and shoves it in a woman's mouth, like it's crazy, dude.
Starting point is 00:58:02 It's like- How do I, how do I spell over fiend? I have no idea. I think over and then fiend. Oh, legends of the over fiend. Okay, let me just see what's happening with this. You did? Joelle, have you seen this?
Starting point is 00:58:17 I don't know anything about this. This is outside of my wheelhouse. It's a long time ago. This is when I was very, I was like 92. Well, it's on YouTube. It can't be pornographic if it's on YouTube. Well, one piece is on it. Can if the sensors didn't click, can I catch it?
Starting point is 00:58:35 Oh, this is like interviews about it. But when I was a kid and here it is, the anime, you should not have watched. OK, I that's probably what fucked me up. That's probably what fucked me up. Oh, yeah, I can see why this could be twisted. So you think this is what Elliot's watching? Yes. Oh, I got to a- whoa!
Starting point is 00:59:01 Yes, exactly. Exactly. Yes. Did the arm turn into like a freaking bunch of penises and stuff like that? Oh, I got to a whoa. Yes, exactly. Exactly. Yes. Whoa. The arm turn into like a freaking bunch of penises and stuff like that. I don't think I can describe on a family podcast what's happening. This is not a family podcast. This is not my locker.
Starting point is 00:59:17 This is not my locker. That's Beverly Hills Cup two. Yes. I'm so jealous that I'm not in the new one. No, that's Beverly Hills Cop 1. No, this is not my locker. Part 1. Oh, then he re-does the joke in 2, this is not my office.
Starting point is 00:59:33 This is not my office. They literally gave him a what you talking about, Lewis. Yeah, yeah, yeah. This is not my office. They were like, you had such a funny line in 1, can we repeat it with office? Yeah. I hope Bronson Pinchot is in this new one.
Starting point is 00:59:47 Of course he is. Surge. I think Joseph Gordon-Levitt got the part I would have wanted, dreamed of. I would have been extra. Would he be like Taggart's kid? I don't know what the part is, but there was one part for someone like Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
Starting point is 01:00:05 But I told my agent, I was like, literally, I'll be the, I'll have one line. I'll be like, you're checked, Mr. Foley. Yeah. Here, Mr. Foley. Here, Mr. Foley, you take these bananas. Well, the buffet. They're in the way, man.
Starting point is 01:00:23 The buffet. Take these bananas. You take these bananas. For no reason, too. For no reason. For no reason. He goes, well, the buffet is $12. The such and such is, oh, I needed some bananas. You go ahead and take these bananas. Just so the plot can move on.
Starting point is 01:00:47 Is this the man who wrecked the buffet at the Harrow Club this morning? All right. Sorry. Sorry. Sometimes that happens. We were long overdue from Beverly Hills cop moment. That's the man who wrecked the... Just keep it down please. Why, can you hear me? Yes. No more breath.
Starting point is 01:01:11 Is this the man who incapacitated one of our cars by sticking a banana in the tailpipe? No, he goes, is this the man who incapacitated an unmarked car with a banana? You've never seen this movie, have you, Daniel? I have not. What? Daniel, no. You've never seen. Why have you not seen Barrow Hills Cop? I guess I just don't remember that line.
Starting point is 01:01:46 I guess I haven't seen it in a really long time. I have to see it again, but it's been years and years and years. I saw it at a re-release in theaters and it holds up. Audience was dying. You laugh your ass off, dude. But I was like, I don't know what you're talking about. When he throws that dude over the buffet table,
Starting point is 01:02:01 that's Richard Pryor stunt, man. That ain't fucking Eddie Murphy's stunt man. I gotta watch Beverly Hills Cop again. I definitely forgot. Please, Daniel, you're gonna be a part of the show. This motherfucker does a front dive roll over some stairs and then lands on his knees and bucks two cats down. Bop, bop.
Starting point is 01:02:19 Are you kidding me? Do you know how much that would hurt my back doing that shit? What about when Cole, this made me laugh out loud, when Cole goes up to Elliot and goes, what's the situation with those big old D's? Any milk yet? And then when he walks away in the background, he's still looking over his shoulder with the face of, I would suck the shit out of them.
Starting point is 01:02:45 He says, what's the line is, what's the situation with those big old D's? Any milk yet? Does Howard Johnson still exist? Hojos. Hojos. I haven't seen a hojos in a really long time. I'm sure it does.
Starting point is 01:03:01 I just want to point out the very last moment of JD on scrubs forever is lying in a coffin Next to Turk. Yeah, you know, yeah We went out we went out in coffins right next to each other. Yeah We killed it We ended with a bang. We died. They hide right next to each other. Yeah And say the exact same thing. What is it?
Starting point is 01:03:27 What did I say? Pull it up. What is it? He'll never find me. He'll never find me. But before that they're saying pull it down. Close it. Cover me up.
Starting point is 01:03:36 Close it quickly. Close it. Right. Well that's it everyone. That's the episode. That was fun. That was fun. Can we talk one last thing?
Starting point is 01:03:45 Anything you want. Rap battle. Oh my God. Rap battle. Oh my God, locked in. Here we go. What do you want to say? I don't want to say anything. There's a clear winner. Well, there's, come on now.
Starting point is 01:03:57 Wait, you have to give the audience context because I barely know what you're talking about. There's a rap battle going on? There's a rap battle going on between Drake and Kendrick Lamar. Okay. Why do they not like each other? I have no clue. Nor do we have the time. I can summarize it like this.
Starting point is 01:04:14 It's too hard. No, I can do it. I can do it. I can do it. Okay. It is super quick. A rap frequently, you have a mentor. Uh, it rap frequently, you have a mentor. This beef goes back like four to five mentors of beef. Like your mentor to like my mentor. I like, I like that producer. Duh, duh, duh, duh.
Starting point is 01:04:32 It's like a long chain of hate that has finally reached its apex where these two guys are like, oh, we're just going to have it out in the streets then. And that's where we're at. But. Okay. There's a lot. Again, we don't have to go into all the gritty details, but that's the broad strokes of it.
Starting point is 01:04:46 You can find a TikTok that explains it well. Right, but it's a lot. I'm not on TikTok, Joel, that's why I have you. It's a lot. It started off like, oh, oh, oh, and now it's just like, oh shit. So they go back and forth. They release tracks that diss each other back and forth.
Starting point is 01:05:10 Yeah, back and forth. How many tracks have been released? It's like eight tracks now. Eight tracks so far. It was crazy. And if you- This may be a dumb question, but like, are the tracks good?
Starting point is 01:05:20 Yes. One artist has good tracks. Well, hold on. Come on now. No. Hold on. I won't. Hold on. Listen. Both artists are being very creative with what they're doing. Let's let's say that first. What is it? It's being a genius.
Starting point is 01:05:34 OK, well, come on. I'm winning. We're not choosing sides or anything. You're not choosing sides. My side has been chosen. I'm not choosing. I'm just here for the good music. Cause you're in Camp Drake, one of the best rappers alive, but I can't follow suit. It's just, Kendrick has been just slam dunking everywhere.
Starting point is 01:05:53 Systematic destruction. Just, it's just the levels, the levels, the fact and the mental games he's playing. The fact that he released a song like literally an hour after dude dropped his diss. He was like, I predicted everything you were going to say. And he was correct. Right now. And then and then he drew like his third track was such that it was like very heavy and kind of somber and a lot of like intense accusations
Starting point is 01:06:17 to follow that up with a club banger that turns New York out. Oh, let's go. I've returned to New York club about two hours after a song drops like it's the game is done. But that's what I'm trying to say. The beat has to end because there's a clear winner. I don't want it to turn East Coast, West Coast, because that's not what it's about. I don't think it's going to be all that.
Starting point is 01:06:33 Neither one of them is into gunplay. I just think that the. Well, something happened last night. I wouldn't, you know what I mean? At somebody's house. I'm, you know. Anyway, my point is this. You know, my favorite part of my favorite part of that diss track was

Starting point is 01:07:15 Right, right, Dear Evan Hansen. Yo, I got beef with all y'all over at Dear Evan Hansen. Who the fuck is you? We're the Lion King! You never heard the Simba diss track.
