Babe.
Yeah babe.
Do you think they can hear us?
Yeah, those are mics.
Guys, we are back.
We are so excited.
It is season two of your favorite New Girl Rewatch podcast.
We have got a new season, we got a new name,
and we got a brand new episode every week
starting July 2nd.
Yeah, I am so excited for you folks
to check out this mess around.
When I say it's gonna get weird,
I mean, it's gonna get weird.
Just save it for the show.
Okay, that's probably for the best.
We've got some of your favorite people
from the new girl universe.
We've got the creator and show runner, Liz Merriwether.
We got the Max Greenfield, Olivia Munn.
We also have some of your least favorites,
like Jake Johnson.
Lamorne.
No, I'm just saying, like, if you're
listing off your favorites, like he'd be.
Lamorne.
He's still a favorite.
He just had him.
What's up?
We do have Jake Johnson, though.
You weren't memorized.
Yes, I was. Dude, you were improvising in take one. Bullshit. You just had him. What's up? We do have Jake Johnson, though. You weren't memorized. Yes, I was.
Dude, you were improvising in take one.
Bullshit.
Yes, you were.
That is edit his lives.
Edit his lives.
That's not reality.
We're not doing Curb.
Take a comment.
We're not doing Curb.
We did a scripted show, and I said the words.
We did do a scripted show, but I will say,
when my character finally started working at the bar,
it was somebody that taught me, you can, the bar's the best,
because you can take all your sides
and lay them all out under the bar.
I'm not saying I didn't have cheat sheets everywhere.
That's why my character is going like this,
leaning on something all the time,
and he's thoughtful looking down.
It's like, Jess.
But no, we did not, we did not, we always said the lines.
Usually outside Dave episodes, there is a pattern.
It's close up of Schmidt pouring out his heart.
He's got a conundrum, he's like,
I don't know what to do with,
they're treating me like I'm a child,
and it's a very deep, intense conversation.
And then they cut to, he's sitting across the table
from me at an outdoor cafe, and I say say something insane and then it goes to a commercial.
I showed up one day, outside day was a mess, and I showed up one day and hair and makeup goes,
you look great. There was one and I think it was a scene with you where I'm like giving CPR to a
bug or something. I showed up and they were like,
all right, you look good.
I mean, the most memorable thing
is that Kobe Bryant was there.
Yes!
He would sit on set, you know,
they put him in a director's chair
and he was very, he was very interested
because he was definitely there
for like Schmidt's big speech.
And we had a lot of alts,
which I imagine for an observer,
seeing a lot of the alternate lines was not as fun
for the actors, but yeah, so Kobe was laughing,
he was into it, it was wild, it was a really surreal day.
Oh yeah.
That's so funny to think that Kobe Bryant heard,
India, get your shit together.
He heard it, he laughed at it.
Discussing it at my whole country.
