Starting point is 00:00:00 A list-knife production. Activate your internet. Cos the Hamish and the Podcast starts in 3, 2, sorry, still buffering. 1. A Horde you ham. Horde sir. A Hi Hame! Hoi Sir. A Hoi Hame! Hoi Sir. A Hoi Hame! Hoi Hame!
Starting point is 00:00:27 Hoi Sir. A Hoi Hame! Hoi Hame! Hoi Hame! Hoi Hame! Hame! Hoi Hame! Hoi Hame!
Starting point is 00:00:35 Hoi Hame! Hoi Hame! Hoi Hame! Hoi Hame! Hoi Hame! Hoi Hame! Hoi Hame! Hoi Hame!
Starting point is 00:00:43 Hoi Hame! Hoi Hame! Hoi Hame! Hoi Hame! Hoi Hame! Hoi Hame! back with more guesto here in 2021. Spent my winter holiday reading my new power moves book that arrived just around Christmas. I was lucky enough to get one of the signed copies by Loyalty Cardholder number six. However, it is a stamp, so I don't know if it technically counts as a signature. But still, pretty rare, must be nice.
Starting point is 00:01:02 Yeah, must be nice. I like the cheats doing a round Christmas. Yeah. Which seems like maybe just after that she was nice enough to give us the around Christmas. Did you stand them yourself, though, Jack? The stamp was a joke that I thought would be funny. Like, I didn't do the signatures, I just stamped them all.
Starting point is 00:01:19 But then the stamp actually took longer than the signatures because you had to keep. You had to airate the stamp. And I imagine getting the nothing on the stamp. Moving longer than the signatures because you had to keep, you had to air-rate the stamp. And imagine getting there nothing on the stamp, moving it over, pressing it carefully, by that time you just write, you know. Yeah, it's so easy to write your name. So how many stamps do you do?
Starting point is 00:01:34 There might only be six stamps, that's very rare. Six from six. Yes. Six from numbers. Six from numbers. Hey, I'm a T-State Park. Hey, you told us you had to be great off the top, which I'm
Starting point is 00:01:45 excited about. But before that, we're in white t-shirts again because we still still clean skinned. Got an email from SportsCraft, the Australian brand SportsCraft, with the official uniform supplier of the Australian Olympic team. Right. Am I? Yeah, because we've spent a few years in the track suits and we were just thinking it might be time for a new track suit. We're not begging. No. And even that seems a bit like it sometimes. We're not begging.
Starting point is 00:02:13 No. We're just wide open for any offer. Yep. And we could get a very own bespoke Olympic standard track suits. Olympic standard. She said the design could be inspired by the official uniforms. So we're not getting any of that uniform. We're not getting any uniform.
Starting point is 00:02:28 That's a good not lying and it's something we would do to people. Yeah, so she was signed off on. So I'm going to use tray and Olympic team administrators. And then she says, P.S., I'm sure we can swing some free outfits to Jack the Weasel both. Which I think something because we haven't had the Weasel off yet. He's laughing, but nodding. I know, to be honest, I'm only slightly disappointed because it felt for a second like we were
Starting point is 00:02:50 getting Olympic outfits. But we haven't earned them, but I am fine with Olympic standard. Or should we go back first position and say, if you can get us Olympic outfits, we'll wear them. And the accreditation. And then we'll see what we should come back to. And then I think what we would accept, hoping that it here this is we would fall back to a position where we're in extremely good replicas.
Starting point is 00:03:13 Yeah. And we pick our own colors. Just change, just enough. Love it. Okay. Okay. Well, that's something to look forward to. Speaking of things to look forward to.
Starting point is 00:03:22 And I. I have done something wonderful. I have done it for you, but not often, but play off. It's good. I have done it for the people, and I have put something into the world that I think wasn't there and it needed to be there. You are a busy man.
Starting point is 00:03:42 Well, you are busy. You are busy. Got the cube, how all the tennis busy. You are busy. Got the cube. All the tennis stuff. And just busy, right? But you're busy doing things that are great things and have cultivated fans. You have fans.
Starting point is 00:03:58 But do you have enough time I wondered to service people that are only fans of you? Oh, that's good. You're holding both. to service people that are only fans of you. Oh, that's the whole thing, though. Now there's a lot of chat over summer about this website, only fans. It was on 60 minutes two weeks ago. Yeah, three weeks ago.
Starting point is 00:04:13 Yeah, people making it fortune, on it. Yeah, actually, it was on 60 minutes last week. Yeah. Saying that the whole story about only fans. Yeah, well there's girls, I mean there were some models and stuff on there that the whole Benetomic's girlfriend was on it. Ben about only fans. Yeah, well there's girl, I mean there are some models and stuff on there that are the whole Benetomic's girlfriend was on it. Benetomic family.
Starting point is 00:04:28 When he was using quarantine, she's an only fans entrepreneur. Yes. And the way that only fans works is people know who you are in the real world, but if you go to only fans, you can pay a small amount and your side's very fair. So you can pay a small amount and you get extras. You get extra stuff that the regs aren't getting the normals who aren't only fans. They're just only people, the people that aren't, aren't only fans. That's the business model. Now some people choose to show a little bit more of their body, whatever, but it's cool
Starting point is 00:04:57 to be used if you're a chef. You're given away secret recipes and stuff. Admittedly not as many chefs are on there as models. And they don't have the millionaire accounts that we're seeing, the multi-million dollar. I didn't see the 60 minutes report, but I am very interested now as someone that's creating content for the site. Did they have chefs? Did they have nose more just young females?
Starting point is 00:05:18 Right. Well, time for you to break that glass ceiling ando because as of this morning, the account only Andy 24, seven is up. And I, and I know you'd be like, I don't have time for this. Don't worry about it. I'm administering the whole thing for you.
Starting point is 00:05:35 So if you're an Andy fan, I want you to head on in there. It's the lowest default subscription you can set. Well, how much would you pay for hot Andy content? I would pay $5 a day. I wouldn't pay. $5 a month seems like a bloody steal to me. That's the lowest default you can set. I'm only fans, we're not up there.
Starting point is 00:05:53 I'm just gonna cover administrative costs and whatnot. It's already, it's up. It's sizzling, hot. It's behind the scenes stuff. It's sort of the stuff that you're not gonna get. It's not the public facing stuff. It's the kind of the raw and you that I know, as a fan, I see it and I sort of,
Starting point is 00:06:08 that's how I, Q-Rate was on the site. No, I might not see you every day, not together every day. I can promise people that as the content officer for only Andy 24-7, I will do, I might have to do a view about what you're up to that day. Or, you know, you might, I'm not promising daily picks, but I am pledging to go for semi-daily.
Starting point is 00:06:29 That's the goal at this stage. LAUGHTER semi-daily. How much, what are the subscription models? Like, is it like monthly-based or daily? It's monthly. It's monthly. And how much? 49. 49. 49. For dollars, not $49. I'm not $49.
Starting point is 00:06:43 I mean, but that would be a fair price. That's the lowest. That's the lowest. Yeah. On the 60 minutes, is it the lowest was three or something? I thought so. No, 49. It seems to be the lowest to fault I could set. However, if you recommend a friend, you get a month for free of, I've got a bit of a promotion or bundle. Please no one go to it. Well, at the moment no one has, but that's why I want to put it in the podcast. No one has found it. Yeah. No one's trawling. I'm asking everyone to not go. Well, at the moment no one has, but that's why I want to put it in the box. No one has found it. Yeah, no one's trawling. Yes, and I'm asking everyone to not go. Well, that's not very, that's not the Andy that we see on the site.
Starting point is 00:07:13 The Andy we see on the site, he's a guy that wants to help his fans. And that's the thing, I actually, I don't mind you asking people not to go, because now there's an air of like, oh, what does he want us to see? I am very interested in it, Amigen, this is where I get the behind the scenes stuff. All right. So here's the deal though. You're, I'll make this very, you know,
Starting point is 00:07:31 you don't have to do anything, you're busy. I'll make this very non-intrusive for you, but I will warn you that people, they expect, you know, when they're paying this amount, they do have an expectation for the content, or what, what are they just like to get ex, you know, they're just like, they just want more. That's their paying good money. Yeah. But like, what do you mean more? I don't mean sex stuff. I mean, I just wanted to really clarify. But I just mean a night, I won't
Starting point is 00:07:59 bombard you with this stuff. But if I'm fielding a lot of requests from what the people want, you know, you know, you want to text me and say, say, me, you picture it. Would it cure you? That's what they want. They're your fans. On the head of the, on the pipe. On the pipe. Okay, only Andy 24, seven. Thank you. Ando, yep, we are back. We're back fighting in this year, And we are back, we're back fighting in this year, rearing to go, didn't get to this last week because we had a lot of stuff in the show, but there's so many that have come in.
Starting point is 00:08:31 So many power moves that have come in. And probably, I mean, we would know we've had the info, we're aware of how long the dishonorable second addition is gonna take for power moves volume one. But are there rumblings of a volume two? Oh well we would have had to say that three years ago we've spent four Chinese years to get through the hogs to negotiate with the factories but should there be? Yeah I guess this is where it begins.
Starting point is 00:08:59 Yeah absolutely that is a great call. This is where it begins. That is a great call. This is where it begins. Hey, I actually thought of one over the break. Yeah. Oh great. We should have done this back in the day. It's actually a power move, probably more suited to me because I'm not great with names.
Starting point is 00:09:19 Yep. And this could have been, it could have helped my natural, you know, issue I've got with remembering names. And being a great power move at the time Should have done a thing on the show where when ever we had a celebrity on forget their name Yeah, do you know man? So and points for the biggest celebrity so say we had Matthew McConnell just going sorry It's Michael isn't Because I don't think that that would ever happen to them. The celebs, when celebs come into radio studio, they go, you all know me.
Starting point is 00:09:50 I know who you guys are, because I've just got off a flight from New Zealand. I've done the breakey bunch over there. If we haven't, I've got nine of you to do today. And I've got, no, there's just some random Australians in a studio. But if we have another guest on this podcast, and it made me the reason to book someone, but we should do paper rocks scissors between them. Which one of us has to forget their name? I love it. I love it. Just be like, sorry, it's Ian Wilson, isn't it? It's Owen Wilson. Oh, sorry, Owen, yes. Love to the film.
Starting point is 00:10:22 Really funny. What's what's fans born like? Love it, aim, this is from Jaren, power move. When you have guests over for dinner, if they go to sit down and a chair, get a bit of toilet paper and lay it down on the seat just before they sit down and look at them and say just in case. Um, here this comes in from, uh, sorry from Raoul. Yep. Because this is for when flights resume. Oh, God. We love a specific category before in flights resume.
Starting point is 00:11:11 When boarding the plane, you sometimes see white vapors like mist coming out of the baggage bins in the ceiling. Yes. It looks like smoke, but in reality, it's just vapor from the air conditioning. I always lean over the person next to me and say, huh, I've never seen that before and I fly a lot. If they weren't a nervous flyer before, they will be now. It's normally in the change of humidity to hot day to it.
Starting point is 00:11:34 Yeah, fly land. Yeah. Okay, this is from Jed Walker, Pam. The high boys, Pow Moe for you. And this is one that we might be able to use on each other, if we ever rock again. Oh, great. Band bass. This is band bass.
Starting point is 00:11:52 Make sure you're the last to leave the studio or the music room after rehearsal. Right. Yep. This might not be for us, then. Not too heavy on rehearsing. Deliberately tune a bandmate's instrument really out. Guitar, bass, guitar, violin, whatever stringed instruments work the best. This causes them to spend a lot of time
Starting point is 00:12:14 tuning instrument in the next practice while you're all way around looking at your clocks. I think it's gonna work a trick. It's a pretty good one. It's a pretty good one. The G-D-R- I now look back and go, this is very, very harsh, but at our school, we had a sister school, I think in Japan, it was Kyoto, and they visited students from the United States, visited the United States whenever that was coming. I wasn't part of that, I wasn't no access for me in common man,
Starting point is 00:12:45 but some other kids in the year-level are allowed to go. But when the visiting sister school came, I think whoever was in charge, they wanted to play a song like, you know, at assembly, like some of the kids from Kyoto, and yeah, the guitar was un-tuned terribly. And they played, let it be, and he went to do the guitar solo,
Starting point is 00:13:01 and it was, it was a sample. I, last day of U12, then U12. No, that's not what sister schools are about. Sister schools are adventuring, promoting like love and harmony. Yes. Not give us an important amount. Not absolutely.
Starting point is 00:13:14 Bower moves across the Pacific. Last day of U12, U12 concert, I got up to playing nothing else matters by the delicate. What do you mean? What? Good to know, right? Yeah, right. And sorry, I just immediately thought Trump. I would have given to see 17 year on Andy honking out nothing else matters on the horn.
Starting point is 00:13:47 I will play thing not bad. Please, please, follow into the year. Follow the end of the year. We'll play nothing else matters. That's a trumpet. That's so much, it's a trumpet. Apart from that song on the trumpet, in fact, that's the thing that matters the least in life. He's hearing that song on the trumpet. And I was, I had a pretty cool, pretty good guitar player, Johnny Kets.
Starting point is 00:14:09 He was going to do the solo and I was just playing rhythm. Didn't know that if you left a guitar in the sun, it completely goes out of tune. That's really it. So I've tuned it up, like really prepared two hours before left in the sun. Yeah, great. Gone out there, started, I'm started singing. It's completely out of tune. before left in the sun. Gone out there, started singing. It's completely attitude.
Starting point is 00:14:26 And I've also first time set up a microphone and had put the microphone secured it way too far back. So I started singing and it just started popping. And still stuffy. I just fell with my head until I was singing below my knees. It's like a red face performance. Look at this guy trying to do a song whilst doing a funny thing as well. And to Kets his credit, he still tried to play the solo.
Starting point is 00:14:59 He had every right to walk off. He could have, I mean, he'd, you just should have stopped. You were bringing two bad things to the group, and he probably had one good thing, which is still a net one bad thing. Oh, cheers. Oh, sorry. Last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last tests, or all you test. If you live with someone that likes, you know, you've always go, share house, let's say, you know, three bedrooms, one bathroom. If you live with someone that
Starting point is 00:15:32 likes to brush their teeth and wander out of the bathroom in the morning, perhaps doing stuff, soon as you see them leave the door, quickly jump in and start doing a poo. Or at least, you see it on the door that for as long as you can. So then they'll be around brushing their teeth still. They're stuck. Yes, they're stuck. Then they'll knock on the door and you just yell out, I'm doing a poo. And they have to wait. They have to wait until such time as you feel you've had enough fun.
Starting point is 00:15:58 And you can leave the bathroom making re-holster the toothbrush. Lovely to have it back. Ha. I'll never make a re-holster for tooth-pastions. Lovely to have it back. Ah. [♪ OUTRO MUSIC PLAYING [♪ Hey, there's one other thing we have to follow up on this, from last week. Ah, yes, Clude, I'm glad we got to this. Yes, in fact, we've decided that has to be a full investigation. In the radial broadcast world, there are freebies taken,
Starting point is 00:16:24 promises broken, credit lines missed, and small businesses pushed around by high-reading breakfast shows. Thankfully, there is a crack team, a specialist that will follow up and bring these shows to justice. These are their stories. I was really paying attention to that. Because I didn't think he was. Because there was a piece of audio in there where I went, he'd the penny will drop here for Jacks, and he completely missed it.
Starting point is 00:16:52 I was making a mental note for something else. There's more more. Sorry. And when I make a mental note, I try to go like, everything shuts down. Three times. It's like mining for Bitcoin. It requires so much power that enough of the rest of your body works.
Starting point is 00:17:06 Did you see that on my face? I just saw your whole system shut down because if you will rule paraphrase what just happened for you We you know, did you hear what that was about? Sorry, I just want to hear what you're playing one more time. Because you'll realize as a piece and if you're going to talk over it, when you hear the bit where you go This could relate to me. You say you say you know, system powering up. In the radio broadcast world, there are freebies taken, promises broke, credit lines missed, and small businesses pushed around by high-reading breakfast shows. Thankfully the breakfast or so, the breakfast team is specialist that will follow
Starting point is 00:17:42 up and bring these shows to justice. These are their stories. Okay. I mean, we're premiums taking, I should have known it would be. Yeah, I'm on a high rating breakfast show. For your real job, outside of your hobby, on the Melbourne-based Christian O'Connell breakfast show. Yep. So that's the bit where I was looking at your face going,
Starting point is 00:17:58 oh, we can't realize. No, the system or that. Shut down. the system ran out and shut down. Last week, Jack, we went on a tangent, which was about the fact that Blake Francis, or was it Francis Blake? No, Blake Francis. I guess in his email, it might come out surname first. Yes, first answer.
Starting point is 00:18:20 He had contacted Roof Carrier Systems from a brother-in-law, Oostor, and asked for some free Roof Racks in exchange for a mention on the Breakfast Show. Yes, Goldiff, which is where you work with Christian O'Connell. You guys said, Blake said yes, we can do that. You can do that. Now, of course, Paul, who is Andy's brother-in-law, who runs Roof Carrier Systems went, look, you know,
Starting point is 00:18:45 gold FM, number one, quite often, if not always, number one breakfast FM breakfast show in Melbourne, you know, that's a huge market in radio. Okay, I want my racks out, I want my racks in the years of the breakfast listening market. That's a deal, that's a juicy carrot that a lot of businesses would take. But racks not cheap handy. I know they're not cheap. And Jack, I went, well Paul actually, with my sister, they woke up and they heard that it was gonna be
Starting point is 00:19:14 the giveaway on your paper show. Big morning in the miles house. Yeah. Yeah. Today's the morning guys. Yeah. This could turn the tide. Tough year.
Starting point is 00:19:23 Yeah, no doubt. And they've affected. COVID affected. Shot people have been down for a long time. They heard the mention of roof racks come up. They waited. But this is what went to where? Refresh bank account, refresh bank account, refresh bank account. We've got to get to the news in a second. Before we do, it's got one last thing to say. We're getting you a roof rack. I know you have in troubles getting the surf board on the top of the car on the top of that. So we've got you a brand new roof rack. Oh my god, you know what? We are in the business of changing lives. This is what we're here for to give listeners roof racks. You know, open gate because we're giving you the roof
Starting point is 00:19:59 rack on the top of the car. Look, it is... We've got re-tracked from this car already. Rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, rackson, r of his life for over 25 years. Fuckin', can I, it man our defense yet? Oh, for it. So, the lady here winning that roof right? Raxon Rax. She's what he had, what? You gave it, lady, something, key already had. Tracey. She had, you hear Christian at the start of that?
Starting point is 00:20:39 Let me just play the only the start of the game. We've got to get to the news in a second before we do- We've got to get to the news. She was before we do. We got to get to the news. She was already talking for 10 minutes, which she don't on radio is no no no. How long does it take to say roof carry? You should have said that. You should have said that. You've been laughing in the background and mentioned the name of the business.
Starting point is 00:20:57 What I was laughing at really was Christian still trying to fit in the roof right give away even though we'd already talked to this lady for 10 minutes Outstate our welcome five minutes late for the news alarm's going off everywhere We got to get out got to get out and I knew we have the roof breaks to give away I thought we might do it after the news and another spot But he went for hey, I can still get the roof right away. Yeah, that's why I laughed Then she already had racks that represses that okay well, okay, well, okay, well, what about wheels? Now I've got those.
Starting point is 00:21:29 So then, I think where he gets disheartened and doesn't deliver on the credit is she already had roof racks. So he throws up his arms off air like, why are we giving away roof racks? Why do we go to this such trouble without even asking the lady whether she had stuff? It's not an item everyone wants, you only wanted if you need it. And she needed it and already had it. It's not like a bottle of champagne, but it's always welcome.
Starting point is 00:21:58 So obviously, my sister and husband and they had their kids gathered around the wireless and they could have made it here. They listened, they had their kids gathered around the wireless. Oh, they could have been here. They listened, they kept listening and they listened and listened. No, they showed up. Apart from this episode of this podcast. On a normal day in the broadcasting world, you'd be very unlikely to hear even one mention of roof rack, let alone returning to the topic. So the diminishing chance, as you would think,
Starting point is 00:22:25 cutting into the eight o'clock hour. So then I said, Paul text me and goes, well, he used the F-bomb, but there's stuff. So he should, because we did have to live up. There's stuff me around here. And then I went, that's... That's almost an anti-rewfract break. Because it proved that she doesn't need more,
Starting point is 00:22:42 she doesn't use the one she's got. And he said, and then I said, make fall up, fall up with a lot of people get pushed around by these big puppies. And then he said he got an email back saying, don't worry, we're going to get it away, right? So our sleuths kept listening to Gold 104, way more than we'd want to. Yeah. And then this guy, Jacko, it was this was kind of mid-morning happened. Just play this a little bit. Who's Huggie?
Starting point is 00:23:08 Thank Gold at Friday. Melbourne's got 1.04.3 and it's Huggie this morning. Who is Huggie? Huggie is the mid-morning guy. It's Huggable as he sounds. Craig Huggins. He's been at the station 29 years. He's got a lot of things to do.
Starting point is 00:23:23 We don't care about him. He's very dangerous. He's just to get your credit read the station 29 years. He's been at the station 29 years. He's been at the station 29 years. He's been at the station 29 years. He's been at the station 29 years. He's been at the station 29 years. He's been at the station 29 years. He's been at the station 29 years.
Starting point is 00:23:31 He's been at the station 29 years. He's been at the station 29 years. He's been at the station 29 years. He's been at the station 29 years. He's been at the station 29 years. He's been at the station 29 years. He's been at the station 29 years. He's been at the station 29 years.
Starting point is 00:23:39 He's been at the station 29 years. He's been at the station 29 years. He's been at the station 29 years. He's been at the station 29 years. He's been at the station 29 years. He's been at the station 29 years. He's been at the station 29 years. He's been at the station 29 years. He's been at the station 29 years. He's been at the station 29 years. The numbers are absolutely plummet. A tenth, a tenth of what they would have been. You got work sites listening, and they're all on triple and more triple J. Some people are still in their cars at 10.40. OK, OK, this is where Huggie does your dirty work for you.
Starting point is 00:23:52 Yeah, and pretend you're unbelievable. Dad said Tracy is killing it. She's already dropped seven Ks, so our mates from Roof Carrier Systems teeter up with a dope set of Roof Racks for the circuit. And they, of course, are Australia's first roof rack shop with all the big brands and expert knowledge. So we know they're going to be good. Give Tracy a wave if you see her on the roads this weekend, won't you?
Starting point is 00:24:12 Huggy, you lit. Yeah. Do you know what a roof rack. Can I say that I heard from Paul, he doesn't want the word dope. Yeah. We've got to any of the racks. Even the very best of the racks. I don't think you would hear me refer to a dope.
Starting point is 00:24:32 And I asked him, have you heard any one? So dope. Did he get an uptick in sales on that day? Paul says he has not had, he's had zero references. Of course he hasn't. And your, and your, the radio says he's trying to pass off mentioning it next to talking about the breakfast show, as the same thing is appearing on the breakfast show. And, but Paul did get one thing,
Starting point is 00:24:57 which is when we mentioned this last week, two people went in on the podcast, on the podcast, and he did accept the loyalty card. Go gold one for. You've got a lot of ads for today. Christian, we're coming for you. We also put him in the Instagram stories, don't know if you saw that we tagged him in Instagram. And we missed that. How did we miss that?
Starting point is 00:25:18 Are we still having the weasel off between Jackson? Yeah, I think this is more of a reason to get the weasel off happening. Hey, machine, I, working out exactly what I look, but we'll get Frances Blake. Frances? He used to work here. That's right. He's a little company. Not to five.
Starting point is 00:25:32 Not to five. Not weekend. That was a five. No, I know. More updates to come. Hey, Mahaldof telling you this, but you knew that Bekanai were holding a New Year's Eve party on New Year's Eve. I did.
Starting point is 00:25:55 The correct time to hold one. Oh, no, traditional. It's delicious. 25 people, right? Yeah. At 11 a.m. on the morning of New Year's Eve, Victorian government said you can only have because of COVID, we've changed the rules. We're worried about an outbreak.
Starting point is 00:26:11 Maximum of 15 people allowed in the house. So it's not often you have to say to people, hey, you mean my closest 25 friends, you're just not in my closest 15. You are. It's a great way to find out though, isn't it? Yes. I would have preferred, would have been great as the government
Starting point is 00:26:29 to every two hours reduce it by five. So people who know exactly which band they said it was. Yes. And that would be, it's totally a big game of survivor or a game of big brother over the course of a party where you just vote out who's not really doing that well. I think people will be trying extra hard at the start of the party to try and what do we learn?
Starting point is 00:26:48 What have we learned about survival or big brother is a theme for a party. Yeah, it's terrible. It's terrible, isn't it? We've been involved in a couple of teen building ones of the survivor and when you force a group of workmates to vocalise who they like the least. It's not great for team building. No, no, particularly if drinks were involved, you and I have been at a radio work function.
Starting point is 00:27:11 Sure, yeah. Where it slammed. Where the voting got a little out of hand and sure I was doing some back-channeling and I got body-bodies land. By the gossip report. Who didn't like, he just didn't like, didn't like the way that the politics were playing out.
Starting point is 00:27:28 Yes. And I thank you and I who would find you to be opposing team captain's because we thought this is the, you know, it's okay. This doesn't actually mean you're bad, you're a bad person in real life if you get voted out. Just a bit of fun. And we screamed, I think more than we usually would scream
Starting point is 00:27:44 on a radio team building weekend. Hey guys, it's just a bit of fun. It's just a bit of fun. It's just a bit of fun. As people tried to pull the gossip reporter off me. It's just a bit of fun. It's okay, so you, so then, so you had to find yourself giving it's just a bit of fun chat to people that you're actually.
Starting point is 00:28:03 Well immediately there's obviously a mixture of becks friends and my friends right and I'm not sure if anyone's seen House of cards but I'm like Frank Underwood I'm back channeling I'm trying to work way where it's more of a friend I'm sure Kevin Rudd did the same thing when he got you know stabbed the back any kind of leadership spill you're ringing around you're trying to shore up reasons why some person has to come. My first suggestion, because there were people staying over at the house. Right.
Starting point is 00:28:30 Those staying, yeah, they've made it. And it was actually 15 people. Or my friend, pretty much. I said, well, Beck, why don't we just cut a line down the middle as to whoever's staying, who's not? She's like, yep, that makes sense. This is like culling wedding invites too. This is the, you just need a rule.
Starting point is 00:28:47 All you need is a rule to sell to people. Yes, she's like, yep, that makes sense. Then she looked at the numbers and went, hang on, my best friend's not in the house, I'll pick up on what I've done there. She does not know if she's dealing with does she. And you would think she does. Yes, Fernando, this is Jack, you know.
Starting point is 00:29:02 Yeah, I know. I mean, business is no. There's nothing. There's no... So, I give back a very low chance of successfully getting eight or more of her friends in this 15. So, as it turned out, of the ten that got culled, eight two in my favour, I had to ring Prousey and his wife, Sammy, who had first time out with Memphis had a new kid who was the first time, the first time they got babytis, the first
Starting point is 00:29:35 time they were going and they were coming to stay as well. So I rang Prousey and said, how mate have you heard the government situation? He's like, nah, he hadn't heard it yet. I had to explain to him that he's not, he's like, you're kidding me, you're kidding me. No, not all bad from his perspective, because he's like, hey, he's super the baby's here. You're wild. It's like, go do something else with your wife.
Starting point is 00:29:57 He's like, you're winding me up. You're winding me up, I said, nah, he's like, I'm looking forward to this. He tried to play the girl. Oh my god. So I just went double down, and I said mate, if you're also top 23, you weren't gonna make it. So I just tried to put a girl. Oh my god. So I just went double dancing. Maybe if it was the top 23, you weren't gonna make it.
Starting point is 00:30:06 So just try to keep it light. He wasn't... Just a bit of fun. It's just a bit of fun. He don't body slam me. He hung up on me and rang our friend Marty, who he's also friends with. Oh, to see if he's going.
Starting point is 00:30:17 To see if Marty was going one. I would have loved to pass you in. All right, well, who else isn't coming? My side of things, it's just you. Marty was still going. Yeah. So everyone else, all your other friends made it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:30 So Marty said to him, no, and then Prousey said, I hate missionary pranking me. Is this a prank? Are they pranking me? Where are you going? Where are you going? So it's like, oh no. You're not being pranked.
Starting point is 00:30:45 You've been pranking this worse for yourself. So I waited a couple of weeks, hadn't really spoken to Prousy, but I sent him a voice memo just so I could capture how he was feeling, and I've got it for you now. The fall. You sent him a voice memo. Yeah, just to see how he was feeling after not making the cut. And I got the, this is my question too,
Starting point is 00:31:03 and this was his response. Prousy, Andy here, just checking in mate. the car and I got the he- this is my question too and this was his response. The answer to your question is yes, I am. I wouldn't have an angry though, I've probably done more disappointed. If you know, the show goes on. I don't do voice recording messages very often, but they're actually pretty good. So I assume you would have sent him a voice member because you two... I mean, the voice member was a slap in the face, because it says I just can't be bothered texting you. Yeah yeah. I'm not you're either driving I risked that but I just also wanted to capture it for a Absolutely. Yeah, and he sent one back so he's like he's hair dry
Starting point is 00:31:55 Shave, he's there or he's like he's got the hair dry. He's just freshly painted a cabinet also He's trying to dry it So what about from backside of things? How did she go? I was the worst. Did you call and break it to her friends? No, she was in charge of that. And so you had one phone call to make it, and bet had eight people to get for four couples, yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:16 We don't really talk about it there. Well, I don't talk about it. We're very little. Sure, gotcha. You know, maybe we'll talk about it after this. Yeah, sure. Don't wait. LAUGHTER
Starting point is 00:32:30 And, oh, the year has begun. Yes. You have... Well, it has been a big show to... It became everybody great lots of gathered. I'm sorry. It was a big, big show to go, Ben. It's been a big show.
Starting point is 00:32:41 It began for us last week. But I think you... If I remember correctly, the start of last week's show, we went, we did a gusto check and you showed us your natural level of gusto. It was great. We had a false level of gusto from Jack. He imposed a quick panic.
Starting point is 00:32:57 You know, he does protest too much at lack of gusto. Well, we didn't hear your gusto at all. You can hear it self-evident. To quote yourself, Jack, well, how come you've got so much gusto? Question you asked me last year. And I don't know. I don't know the secret of gusto. It's like asking someone, how come the hand I coordination so good? You can't answer it just lucky, I guess. You can perfect it, but you bore a quick opponent. Certainly, I own it, but from a young age my parents were absolutely putting me in the gusto stream at school to help develop it and Oh, you've you spirits have been high and I hope we don't dampen them too much as we do this
Starting point is 00:33:37 Everything is neat and practical Because that's the way he likes it, but what if it wasn't? Upset Andy. Okay, let's kick things up. Which is, it would have been an absolute upset Andy Benanza if you were anywhere in my house over summer and a moving house. And what? I had one, well basically the TV show just,
Starting point is 00:33:59 I don't know what it was on the call of the cube, it was pretty much just podcast fans that came and watched the audience. So if there were questions for the audience, it was always like something to do with can I have a dollar, can I have a lulty card? Yes, I'd. But in one of the games, they had put the plinth in the middle of the cube and it wasn't the centre.
Starting point is 00:34:16 All right. And I'm that sloppy. You sure it's a cube? What if it's a rumply? And I was sitting there going, I didn't realize my microphone was going to the floor. All right. So I thought I was talking to the producer and I was like, it's not in the center. It's in the center.
Starting point is 00:34:33 Until I got the giggles and a house from the audience that is going, yes, you've got it. Got it. Got it. Got it. So yeah, in every day life, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it professional people to upset you here. Emma Ohoy. Ohoy there. Happy birthday Andy. Hi Jack. Hello Emma. Ohoy to you. Just you know 2021 I've mellowed a bit I reckon. You reckon? No, we'll see. I think I can upset that. Yeah, I think we've got prime candidate. Okay. What have you got? What have you got for us then? So when my boyfriend washes the bad sheets, he just chucks the whole dinner into washing machine, dinner cover and all, nothing gets that far.
Starting point is 00:35:25 Just the far thing, just the far thing. He hasn't mulled it all in, he's hating that. What's your main bug bear with that, Andrew? Well, I don't think it's gonna wash properly. Of course it will. It's not gonna stay dry on the inside. And once the water can get through, the soap comes along with it, soap is more than water. And I just don't think you need to be doing the doon at that
Starting point is 00:35:47 often and also the doon at drying time. Huge. It'll figure itself out. Does it always get fairly dry in? Oh it takes a while. It takes a while but let nature take its course and dry that doon at that. That seems a-okay then and think of the time you're saving no no I think this is why it's no but think of the time you're saving when you don't have to do that you know put your hands inside turn it inside out get the doon or in the cover you do it all in one is genius oh no and also some people have trouble working out what ends oh yes I might the long end or the short end up that's the wrong one that's what I write and text or a tag the top left or top right Do you really yeah?
Starting point is 00:36:36 Should you ever have children you just so you know all this spare time you have to like label things that will go through and I This is the man of wasted hours in the day. It doesn't think an hour to label a test. Find a thing, find a sharpie. No, because I know exactly where the sharpie is. It's labeled. And if I forget where the sharpie goes, there will be a label on the ground pointing towards the sharpie going, oh Nathan, Nathan, up to Andy for us please. So I'm sure as my man Hamish can attest to, the senders are very, very busy time of the year. And you know, you've got to go by Christmas gifts
Starting point is 00:37:10 and you know, go to the gift shops like Bakers Delighten and whatnot to get all your gifts. So you sit down with your tape and you're wrapping paper and then go, oh geez, haven't got the scissors, you know, scissors have done well over the years, but I'm a strong man, I can tear the paper. You just still covers the gift, doesn't affect the gift. Thoughts count anyway.
Starting point is 00:37:26 Yeah, because you followed it under anyway. I know what you're talking about. And I think that makes a total sense. Because you never see the edge. You don't really see the edge. You don't even have to, like, tape it along the lines, just as long as it sticks it down, just thought the counts. Well, let's boil it down here. Let's break it down.
Starting point is 00:37:41 I thought it would be with you. If you're ripping, are you then folding along the rip line so at least create a straight edge? That I could deal with. That doesn't matter. A couple of gifts. Yeah, it comes to gifts. Wouldn't have thought so. Don't you get swept in open Andy? Exactly. That's a great question. Does he? Do you know what it was? Do you want you on beaten gold leaf around you? You know what I mean? Yeah, do you want, do you want beaten gold leaf around you, gives?
Starting point is 00:38:04 No, it isn't. Isn't the point of the, the wrapping, just to hide, it's just more of a game of suspense. I mean, I've often argued, a pillowcase could be fine. I, I, I, I, I agree on this front. I'm not huge on wrapping presents, so it's not, it doesn't get me as much. But yeah, beck, beck makes sure that everything is perfect with bows and all these different pieces, which I agree. I think it's the surprise element. Doesn't know what you put it in. You really should just take around a closh like they use a master's share.
Starting point is 00:38:32 Like that. And just reveal the present. And then that's then it saves a movie paper. Really good one. Nathan Riffaway, save yourself from some of that scissors overhead. Thank you. Rockland. Ahoy, you're lucky. Ahoy, lucky. Ohoy boys, how about the Andy? I need a good boy. Thank you. Rockland. A hoi-lokey. A hoi-lokey. A hoi-boys. Have a birthday and a few. Good boy. Can you upset Andy?
Starting point is 00:38:49 I believe I can. This is something that I'm not guilty of myself. I just want to get that clear first. But my girlfriend's brother is guilty. Name him. His name is Dan. Good. Basically, when he's cooking something, doesn't matter what, but when he needs to use some butter,
Starting point is 00:39:07 instead of cutting a slice of butter off the block, like most of us do, he'll just take a big bite of the butter and spit it into his food. Oh! Nature's knives. But do the old teeth. Why go to the drawing, get knives when nature's giving you 25 in your head?
Starting point is 00:39:25 It's got time to dirty enough. No, many of us, mate. It must be nice that that's what it's all about. Thank you. Moving on. It's going to be honest. I know people might go, oh, that's unhygienic, but let's be honest. If you talk in Frypan or whatever, absolutely no germs can live in there anyway.
Starting point is 00:39:42 It'll be a bit of a lot. It'll be exactly right. It'll be completely burn them out. And he's gonna leave it anyway. Yeah, and for him, and for him, it'll come back. Yeah, but I think you won't have it. I've had it with Gordon Ramsay, was in the kitchen and so on.
Starting point is 00:39:52 I love it. He just pan to Gordon and Gordon go, find by me. All good. Who doesn't do that. Don't even see here. Dana, why do you? Hi, hi. Hi, Dan, can you you? Hi, how are you?
Starting point is 00:40:06 Hi, Dan, can you upset Andy? I hope I can. So one of my tyres has a slow leak, right? It leaks just enough that the tyre runs out. You've got him already, Dan, but keep going. It goes off each morning. So because I'm fast and loose, my man, amish, I've worked in tomorrow's routine that each morning, I've stopped in at the server, and filled it up. Humber, right up. Yeah, I've worked in tomorrow morning that each morning, I stopped in at the server and fill it up.
Starting point is 00:40:26 Humber, right up. Yeah, give you a full day of air. That's right. It works just perfect. A full day of driving around on cloud nine. Nice. No, I would be fat. 34 PSI of cloud nine.
Starting point is 00:40:36 I'd absolutely hate that. In fact, we got to flat tire just recently and went to the straight to the tire shop and got done straight. As soon as I realized, got it done. So it was just a slow leg. Well, I didn't know what it was. It seemed like a slow leg. When I was probably a run flat, I was like, the guy, I came back and went, what was it?
Starting point is 00:40:55 He's like, oh, it's hard to tell. And I was like, oh, surely you'd know. And then there'll be a occasion. I seriously, what was it? He said, someone has purposely pinned your tire or put a nail in your tire. So he didn't want to tell me to for fear that I was running around slashing my tires on purpose like, oh no mate, it's a hike. I don't worry about it.
Starting point is 00:41:14 Oh, here we go. Just use them in a museum, jump and pump. Ben, wrap this up for us. Oh, boy. Oh, boy Benny. Can you upset Andy? All right, so every time I do my washing, I bring the basket up to my room, grab the pad, shove them into the cupboard, grab my shirt, shove them in the other drawer, and then I bet you're wondering what I do at the start.
Starting point is 00:41:38 I hate to stay in the basket, so every morning I'll wake up and rush a bit at the start, there you go. So your dirty washing basket is an automatic socket or two? Yeah, that's right. But then what if you need the basket again for when duty washing comes around? I don't think I've got seven cents stock. So by Sunday they're all gone. Right, and then you put the clothes that are in the corner of your room into the basket. Yeah, spot on. that are in the corner of your room into the basket. Yeah, it's spot on.
Starting point is 00:42:04 Ah! Ah! Ah! Ah! Yeah, it seems like it's a system. You know what I mean? Does the dirty watching just go next to the basket until all the socks are out?
Starting point is 00:42:17 Yep, exactly. And you want as fast and most as you could be, try this. Put all your dirty washing in as it as you need to and just hunt around in there for the salt. You'll find them. There are only ones that are pulled up in there. Then that's why I reckon there's a lot of Thanks for listening. The Hamish Nandy podcast will return next week.
