Starting point is 00:00:00 A list-knife production. Activate your internet. Cos the Hamish and the Podcast starts in 3, 2. Sorry, still buffering. 1. Ahojmi charge Hand, Hamish. Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Jack, I can't think of a pot sandwich. Sadly. Sadly. Too high. How are we feeling about that?
Starting point is 00:00:47 What team are we today? I would be the second... I'd be the second spreader. I think we run a mid-range hydroponic maroana setter. I'm in charge of charging up the batteries, so the feds don't see all the power coming off the grid. As a second pot. So you can put hot man,
Starting point is 00:01:05 self-explanatory and Andy. This is a spreader. Spread it. Spread it. You take care of the fertilizer after the first spread is done. We are not. We are a mastic, ash-felt roofing.
Starting point is 00:01:17 Yes. Yes. So this came in from Patrick. He does it. He's the manager. He says charge hand first spreader and the gang leader, that's you hand top coach. On large flat areas.
Starting point is 00:01:30 You got to get him right. Second spreader, obviously that's a skilled apprentice. That's the best man for the best man. Yep. And what, I don't just hold the bucket or something. Yes, you do, man. To the top man, he writes, definitely a jack type role. LAUGHTER
Starting point is 00:01:47 Comes in early and lights up the... Oh, this is bubbling. The gift of bubbling keeps the ash filled at the right temperature, runs the buckets to the big boys. Please! Which I act as the king of the world. Come in early, please. He comes in early, was the walking foot.
Starting point is 00:02:04 And it seems like he has to pay attention to the right temperature. So I'm not sure if we want Jack on our parts of Aschfield. But we've got him. We've got him and Jack. You're in charge of keeping it in a nice center all day. And I'm sure you'll do it. Thank you guys. Good luck up there.
Starting point is 00:02:21 Hey, good luck down here. Good luck. We both got our jobs. And we'll let you know. Send you some photos from the roof. We know it's all going well. Nice to see where your asphalt ends up. Nick also used the very easy system at Hamishney.com
Starting point is 00:02:35 to tell us what he's been up to. Hoi Nick. Hoi, gentlemen, Nick here. Just currently up to podcast 1, 2, 5. That's not an indication of how hard it is to upload these memos, it's just, that's where I'm at at the moment, started from the start and up to one two five, I recommend that.
Starting point is 00:02:51 Just chasing a bit of closure today. I've been a long time fan of yours since back when you guys would all know real stories and I just wanted to know, did Andy ever come out of his permanent grounding? Did Ryan ever come up with that iconic saying he was chasing and did New Zealand ever go from H2 Go to H2 WoW anyway keep up good work guys Jaja
Starting point is 00:03:13 some deep cut. There's a very inside baseball stuff there. Is it worth a smoke? We really do appreciate everyone that is aware of real stories. Our first TV show. Is it streaming anywhere? Can you watch it? You cannot, Jack, it's nowhere to be seen. No one would be found.
Starting point is 00:03:33 There's 5,000 DVDs were made. Yeah. And portions of those were sold. So it's around. It's around. It's a round. It's sort of like, you know what? It's like a Bitcoin. Yeah. So here you go, you's around. It's sort of like, you know what, it's like a Bitcoin.
Starting point is 00:03:45 Yeah. So how you go, you go getting your hands on one. You can either buy one, not cheap, or you can mind one, fine one. They're out there, but obviously they're not that easy to find. Then it's energy and density. But when you get it, you'll event it. Hey, you and I are back from a little break
Starting point is 00:04:02 where I over, or in Greece trying to lobby the government over there to put pressure on the Australian government, to end of the government mandate to break at the end of the year. That's why I took this small break. We actually were forced into taking this break. Didn't want to go. I mean, Andrew and I, you should have seen us so angry, trying to come up with a different solution, but we thought the only way to show the government is that it's possible to take
Starting point is 00:04:24 break and pre-record an episode before you go on the break. So you don't need the mandated three months off. You can balance work and pleasure. Is if we actually show them how it's done, is if we actually go over, we get in the aggression sun, we through grit and teeth, through absolute bloody grit and teeth. And then once they see that we can both take a break and keep producing podcasts, they might soften their stands. Sadly, as yet, they have not, they don't seem to be, they don't seem to be budging,
Starting point is 00:04:55 but you hope that this small necessary lobbying holiday, not all of it. So yeah, that was a holiday for you. Heavy air quality quite. Holiday. We'll help us lift that bloody mandated three month break at the end of the year, so stay tuned. Yep. I went to London and I went out to a restaurant that day.
Starting point is 00:05:15 A very great ad-a-teeth. Yeah, the restaurant that Beck had picked. Yep. How'd you get your food through the teeth? Super-estraught. Super-estraught. Super-estraught. Yeah, how'd you get your food through the teeth? Yeah. Super strong. Super strong.
Starting point is 00:05:27 It was by straw only because I was there through a gritted teeth. And I saw a bunch of well-known people. And it reminded me of a game I used to play when I came back from a series, which was called Who Did I See, and I've put it into a game show format for you and Jack to guess today? How exciting. Here we go. Who did I see? Question one, Andy, before we begin, were you at Planet Hollywood or the cafeteria of
Starting point is 00:05:57 Madame Chessort? No, these are real people, they would not wax. I have to get it out there because I have to get it out there. Because if it was Elvis and the Beatles and, you know, good fun, but you didn't see them. I wasn't surprised to see this person, because he seems to be everywhere. Oh, yep.
Starting point is 00:06:18 Next, next. International celeb. Yep. Will you let her have guesses during the clues? Yeah. One guess and we're out. No, this has been the clues But I'll give you the next one. When I dress up as a in a cat out fit and sing people don't really love it
Starting point is 00:06:31 James Corden. He's got it. Oh, well done. Hey, James Corden was the first person I saw he came in very loudly to the restaurant and hugged someone aggressive with another table I thought was he with I thought I'm gonna get thought he was with. I thought I'm going to get to that. I thought this is... Sorry. It's part of the next game. Sorry, sorry, I didn't know questions were at the end. Because you wanted that.
Starting point is 00:06:56 I thought you were going to get to that. It's like a politician. Sorry. Sorry, sorry for breaking the rules. The stress pyramid. No, I thought breaking the rules. The establishment. No, I thought, I'll have to bit much, you know, we know you're here kind of thing, but I think it was a move to, he'd seen someone at a table that he didn't want to spend
Starting point is 00:07:14 a lot of time with. So he went big early, he went big because he wrapped it up so quickly, I say, oh, that's clever actually, he's gone. He went from the best. Hey, many of you. He's a nice person. He's gone. He went from the best. Yeah. Um, hey, many of you. This is his person.
Starting point is 00:07:25 I saw all of them. Oh. I find it hard to compose myself when Christopher Walken asks for more cowbell. Will Ferrell. No. No, Jimmy Fallon. He's got it.
Starting point is 00:07:40 Oh, he was a first man. He was a first man. I was a first man. LAUGHTER Jimmy Fallon came here. Fallon taking a little of mine. He was a friend of mine. He was a friend of mine. He was a friend of mine. He was a friend of mine. He was a friend of mine. He was a friend of mine. He was a friend of mine. He was a friend of mine.
Starting point is 00:07:49 He was a friend of mine. He was a friend of mine. He was a friend of mine. He was a friend of mine. He was a friend of mine. He was a friend of mine. He was a friend of mine. He was a friend of mine.
Starting point is 00:07:57 He was a friend of mine. He was a friend of mine. He was a friend of mine. He was a friend of mine. He was a friend of mine. He was a friend of mine. He was a friend of mine. He was a friend of mine. He was a friend of mine. He was a friend was on his way to a third person, which I didn't notice was there.
Starting point is 00:08:08 He came past people and planted all it was. He came past the table. I said, Hey, Jimmy, you've been on this show before because I just love Jimmy fellow ones. And he said, oh, yeah, I said, he wouldn't have remembered at all. But I said, you're on the show, Quattamish Nani, where you will Ferrell's actually on the second hour. So he goes, I love that idea.
Starting point is 00:08:28 He absolutely didn't remember, but he gave me a heap. But then he'd done this to him before. I've got a vague memory that we've said something like this before. I don't know. Too Jimmy Fallon. And he got and I loved it. And then we were also sure to be positive that he didn't remember it. Well, he absolutely didn't want to get back.
Starting point is 00:08:46 He was there, which I didn't recognize him, but with Lawn Michaels, who started SNL. Gotcha. And he tried to then explain to Lawn what the sketch was and explain something very different side. Ah, he's like, oh, I think he's fading away. So, I was happy to claim whatever Jimmy thought that we'd come up with. That's the one, Jimmy. You'd remember it.
Starting point is 00:09:09 That's right. We wear funny hats and you have to guess which hat would we'll want. So they're on their way and they'll be escorted by the restaurant owner to another gentleman. This is some suit. People from far and wide, half of the American a-list is there having this suit. Who did I see? When I enter radio studios, I find it difficult to get up on a high chairs.
Starting point is 00:09:40 Okay, I know, but just before we do this, and Jack, do you feel like Andy made it clear that he was gonna be doing the clues in first person? No, I wasn't expecting that. I think I switched, actually. Better. It was, I'll say, oh, remember this.
Starting point is 00:10:01 I know, I know. I think I remember. Was it Martin? I want to say Martin Short, but not because he was short. No, you're just thinking that because Martin Short. No, no, but I remember the awkwardness of this jump-up, there was two people that couldn't get onto the big chairs, because we have pie chairs.
Starting point is 00:10:17 Why was I so mean? Sandeel was bringing a bell for me. Yeah, no. The other time, yeah, he was confused by it, too. The other one? Give it to me. Do you want me to give you the one. Yeah, he was confused by it too. The other one? Give it to me. Do you want me to give you the second clue?
Starting point is 00:10:26 I want to say David Spade. No. Do you want me to say David Spade? No, that's what I don't want to say anymore. I don't want to say anymore. We had him on the show, we didn't have him on the mic. Okay, second one. Second clue?
Starting point is 00:10:37 Mm-hmm. Yeah. I won an election, but actually I didn't. Al Gore. Al Gore. Al Gore. Al Gore. That's right, he couldn't get on the chair. He couldn't get on the chair, and it was hard.
Starting point is 00:10:50 It was very powerful, and it's easy. But I felt great sadness for both men that couldn't get on the chair, because that's, there weren't the people you would think. It wasn't like Danny DeVito couldn't get on the chair. No, one was Sam Neal, who, you know, he's like a robust and he's running away from T-Rexes constantly. Sure.
Starting point is 00:11:09 He's running towards them if they're fossilized. Because he was interested. He had a rule. No, he's no specific about the way he ran, he ran on how alive the dinosaur was. That's right. Meet on the bones. I'll run for home. No meat to be seen, then interest I shall believe. So Sam Neal and Elkore were at a table together. Sam Neal
Starting point is 00:11:37 wasn't there. He was under the table, he couldn't get another chair. No, Sam Neal wasn't there. I was referring to the other person who couldn't get on the chair? No, no. No, Neil wasn't there. I was referring to the other person who couldn't get on the chair. Back in the radio show, those, because of our hard chairs. But else, there was Al Gore and Jimmy Fallon and Lawn Michaels. No, so yes, but Al Gore was at a table
Starting point is 00:11:55 with another British gent who looked like he was important in some kind of parliamentary way, but I didn't recognize him. The restaurant owner asked Jimmy to come across and meet our goal. So she was going, hey, you guys are both famous. And so Jimmy went and did. Absolutely. Jimmy, Jimmy, no, Jimmy pretty much did what I did. Jimmy, to well, I didn't see him all that interested. It's like, okay, then Gordon came in, then Gordon realized and he stood up and then restaurant and said, I do you want to meet our God to James Gordon? And he went, no, no, no,
Starting point is 00:12:26 I don't need to bother Mr. Gore. And so he sat back down and then Jimmy came back. Why is anyone doing any eating at the restaurant? Just sounds like the restaurant owner. Maybe the sims not that good because the restaurant is just running around going, oh, hey, there's a guy at table 16. Yeah. That has similar hair to you. Maybe maybe guys would like to talk about head lessons. But then Jimmy came back sat down and he had a cordon and Jimmy, are they on the same network? Yeah, they're all possible.
Starting point is 00:12:52 I don't know. I thought for a second that they were up against each other, but I think. Might have been one after the other. One after the other. Yeah, so maybe they, that's why they're hanging. But anyway, that completes, who did I see? Wow, good, good round.
Starting point is 00:13:07 Hey, they're still coming in thick and fast, and it's look how duty I suppose to give the listeners extra power as they make their way around their lives. Let's do it. It's a responsibility. We take very seriously, and we do thank everyone for continuing to send in what is now easily the world's biggest list of power moves. This comes in from Kale, a Huy Kale.
Starting point is 00:13:34 He said, this is a cracker. My good friend recently moved in to a new place and was excited to invite, quote, all the boys over to watch the footy. Yep. Although there were some concerns within the group over the size of his TV too small. Okay. That can, you can easily see the scenario playing out. Infusiasm, isn't as many inches with more inches than the TV. Yeah. The TV is not as many diagonal inches.
Starting point is 00:14:01 Yeah. So my other mate took it upon himself to bring over his own 75 inch TV from his own place, he then walks straight in and preceded to unplug the current TV and replace it with his own huge screen for the night. Really like it. I don't know whether this is a power move or a life hack. I don't know whether this is a power move or a life hack. Okay. So be careful with the sound effect. It'll be careful.
Starting point is 00:14:29 Oh, I'll be careful. Teagan says it's just that. She goes, life hack or power move. Who knows? Whenever you give someone a gift card or voucher as a present, write down the card voucher number and the pin code. Set a reminder to calendar the day before it expires to check the balance. And if they haven't
Starting point is 00:14:51 used it yet, just use it yourself. It's both. It's both. It's both. That is. That's so good. Yeah. There is something something innately frustrating about vouchers. I like giving them because you're like, yep, it's definitely better than cash. You can download. It's slightly better than cash, because it shows some level.
Starting point is 00:15:13 It'd be even better to try that hard. So I'm like, all right, here's one for Bunnings. You've been there before. So it is something, right? It shows, I reckon the minimal amount of effort. Minimal, just above cash, which is no effort. Yeah. Well, actually, no effort is nothing. So it's two rungs above nothing.
Starting point is 00:15:28 Yeah. Then, but when I, you have a voucher at home, I mean, I just get frustrated imagining the smugness of the place. Yeah. Like, we've got a restaurant voucher at home that it just, we just, I know we're not going to get around to using. It's, it's not close. I just can feel we're not going to use it.
Starting point is 00:15:42 And I can't help picturing them laughing their head out, going, cash for free, cash for free. You like a move that stops the leakage of vouchers. You'll obviously laugh at this, but I have a voucher's box at home. So all our vouchers go into a box. But again, you don't even remember to go even with a specific thing. And the other part is people give you restaurant vouchers. And I don't always go, wow, we should go some of you know, let's go to the vouchers box. They're booked out like it's it's it's it's it's you really have to it's so many. Sometimes you don't feel like that restaurant. No. I would prefer a cashier. Yeah. Oh.
Starting point is 00:16:25 OK. OK. Great one here, Andy. This is a work. This is usually a work move can be used in family settings by right that comes in from Riley. When on the phone to someone, potentially client, decide to pass the call slash phone
Starting point is 00:16:40 to one of your colleagues to continue the conversation. For example, I'm just going hand you over to Dave, right? As you pass the phone across, suddenly put it on mute. Then walk away and watch them squirm as they try and figure out what's going on. Oh, I get... Brendan wrote this in,
Starting point is 00:17:01 hamishneed.com, got a power move for your Hamish slash Andy. Out of the bar the other night, some completely random guys count to me and said, hey mate, can you film me dancing? I just thought, yeah, of course I'll, you know, have a little laugh. The funny thing was, I was assuming you'd hand me his phone. But would you believe it? He just starts dancing and pointing at me, indicating stuff. So I had to take out my phone. He danced for two minutes.
Starting point is 00:17:31 He's a real simple one, real classic to finish, comes in from Ali. When a friend of yours posts an Instagram story, simply send them a reply of, hey, I think this was just meant for your private story. Leave it to figure out what was offensive in the post. And as we mentioned through Grid and Teetheth we're on a protest trip. Yeah. I'm trying to, I triggers me when you bring it up. I don't, I don't really. I don't really.
Starting point is 00:18:11 I'm living hell. Yeah. But a protest trip show the government is possible for us to travel and produce the show. We, we'll see if they, hey, he'd, um, wanted to share this with you because I know we're all on our own protest trips. Jackie also protested, appreciate that. I did. Thank appreciate that Thank you You're in your boots will try to lobby in Europe and the United States anywhere in the Northern hemisphere
Starting point is 00:18:30 We can protest anywhere You took your protest trip with your wife and child had a great fun over in America. That's right. It's protest the better in summer You're repeating sub-rhythmic marriage. I'm I just certifies near the page I'm watching all spot and you're getting attention. It's visually interesting. Isn't it? People around the bout.
Starting point is 00:18:49 It is visually interesting. It's a good attention, Grava. Where I was staying at a hotel for part of the protest. We. And nothing. Well, you know, hopefully we can. I can. Well, when you're protesting, you do need to be fresh every day. Basically. You know, normally you know, hopefully we can, well, when you're when you're protesting you do need to be fresh every day
Starting point is 00:19:06 So you know normally you know me and sleep out with train station or I'm in a bush somewhere Because it was a protest. I did treat myself to a decent bed Tell me if this I'm gonna explain a pattern to you Tell me if this, I'm going to explain a pattern to you. It's almost like a Cludo situation here, but I think you'll immediately get it because I think you, it's possible you've been in the same situation as me. Where at a hotel where breakfast opens at 7.30? Of course, because we've got kids are there at 7.20 going, get it, because we've been
Starting point is 00:19:43 up for two hours pretending to have misunderstood and that breakfast was open from seven Can we just sit down anyway? Seven thirty things late, though. Yeah, most hotels, you have a seventh. It's really, you know, you're a big guy. They don't need dinner to like 1030 in Europe. That's a thing. Everything's on a shift to Timesgum. So yeah, yeah, well, I'd love breakfast to do. I've been from seven. I explained to them that McDonald's in Australia, five thirty, some are twenty-four seven. Yeah, they explain to you different here, like comics. She's a different place to protest next time.
Starting point is 00:20:14 So we're a breakfast at M30. The hotel we're staying at had a pool, which is of course the main feature of the day. Pool was in its own sort of secluded area, a long way away from the main hotel and where breakfast is. Paul opens at 9.30, riddle, conundrum for you guys. If breakfast was at 7.30 and the pool didn't open till 9.30, how come when I traveled to the pool toilets at 8.30 each morning were they all fully occupied? Oh. Because the pool doesn't open for a full hour. And I would arrive, I would walk the long way back to the room
Starting point is 00:20:51 and sometimes I'd visit the pool toilet. And by 8.30, 9 o'clock, always, three cubicles, always had three guys in there, sometimes one waiting. I reckon here's my theory. If you're on a first date or like a new relationship, the lobby toilet is your friend. Yes. The early days in any relationship I've been in, I would some for some reason need to go for a walk in the morning.
Starting point is 00:21:21 And the lobby. I would say not just a first date, we were pooped bros because we'd been all sent by our wives because when you're in a hotel room, the toilet is obviously basically part of the whole room. It's part of the bedroom and therefore part of everything because that's all that's in there. And did you notice?
Starting point is 00:21:41 We had all been sent, we're all married men. Everyone of us had a ring, but we're all poop brothers. Yes. Or poop on brays if you're Spanish. Did you notice that in Greece particular, they, I mean, they hadn't, they'd done some brilliant stuff early in life, you know, the Acropolis was incredible, Jack. And that was, you know, logic, the logic. Yeah. Great. Some of the great pondering about with logic. We still use that. Yeah, we got, logic. To the logic. Yeah, great. Some of the great pondering. I'm up with logic. We still use that. Yeah, we got both those things, architecture and logic.
Starting point is 00:22:09 No, it comes to our internet uploads, isn't it? Yeah. It's a baffling form of new, new thinking. Just unnecessary hindrance. But some things are classic, like the Eccropless, and you do not tear them down. But you didn't like the Greg Toilet Center? No. The Toilet's are fine.
Starting point is 00:22:29 They have not invented or adopted extraction fans. Did you do notice that? Yes. Well, that's why we all across Europe, I was, I was at very rolling different gangs of poop bros. Yep. And you do form a weird click with your poop brothers, because no one talks, no one says anything, but usually there's usually a moment of eye contact as you're coming in or out of the talk because everyone's waiting and we all know we're married men who have been sent the long way
Starting point is 00:22:56 home to the least used toilets of the resort. And then you'd see them again later during the day of the resource. And then you'd see them again later during the day. And you'd almost go to say, hey, but then you're part of your brand of going, no, you're just two brothers. You have to see, you have to do, you have literally a dirty secret. I think also,
Starting point is 00:23:20 just going back to the extraction fan, if on TripAdvisor or on hotel websites, they said we have the quickest extraction, the most powerful extraction fan from the Lou. You know my feelings on this. I've been begging Dyson to get into this guy. Yeah, they love one extraction fan where your clothes ruffle. That's the power I want. I'm not asking for them to be ripped off to the ceiling.
Starting point is 00:23:49 No, that's too much. The toilet paper flows down there. Yes, the toilet paper goes vertical, at least. Doesn't start spooling off the roll. No, it's not a weekly guy at the front, but I'm a tie-yard. But I would like to see even a heavy jumper ruffle because of the, you know, and your cheeks do the skydiving thing. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:09 Hey, we had a request at HamishDee.com to play this game again. It's called the duping game where you ring up with something that you either own or don't own. We'll interrogate you with regards to this item and then decide whether we think you actually own an order. The goal is, we actually lift one of our long-standing rules on the show, which is you can't, Jupus. The goal is to Jupus on this show.
Starting point is 00:24:37 And in this particular segment, I'd like to just say to like, we have a drag something out of the closet if you want to play it again. Like, we're not, it's like having an old board game. Like we're not you don't you won't come over to our house and we suddenly have you know rummaken out going wouldn't this be fun to play. We're not starting we're not offering this as the main form of entertainment when you come over. But if you like on the show of rummaken if you love playing rummaken, you know 10 years
Starting point is 00:25:03 ago when you come over and you'd like to have one more go, you're not going to have to go now. Is there any podcast going to have the juping game every week? No, no. We just found it in the cupboard. You want to play? We'll play. I'm Marci, who does all the amazing sound for us. I said, can you see if we had an opener for this?
Starting point is 00:25:23 He said there's two. There was there two, I remember. I think I remember one from back in the day. He said because there was a problem with the first one. I'll play you the first one and then we can analyze it just quickly. We're going to get canceled. We don't know if you're like so we'll do our best and have a guess. It was revealed after we made that that we the game was called the jupe in game and we never mentioned the name of the game.
Starting point is 00:25:53 I think the idea was... What was the first lyric? We don't know if you're... I don't know what the lyric was. Kind of remember. I didn't even follow that. I was trying to follow that. But I guess in the back we thought
Starting point is 00:26:03 we were gonna say jupe. We'll jupe it. I think you were such saying jupe in the background. If you listen closely, maybe, no, I think we forgot to do it. This stinks of something that was made at 345 in the afternoon and we went to air it for a clock. Yeah, yeah. I think it was meant to go, jupe, jupe, jupe, jupe, jupe. But then that came, we locked that pun in, shelved it and then went off to run a lyrics and forgot to do the actual segment I and it also wasn't very much the focus so there was a complaint had that we didn't Um, mention the name enough hence when you listen to
Starting point is 00:26:35 The new opener the one that we arrived at all right, I think we over corrected. Joupe, there is! Joupe, there is! The Joupe game! What? Yeah, very. I know. Yeah, I was just going to say this sticks with so that it's about to happen, I say again. Another one of our tricks back in the radio days. I know this is not on topic, but I always won on fond of some of our best work was
Starting point is 00:27:04 we were meant to say, we had a segment, I think this one's about 7-11 ones. And we were meant to say 7-11. Four times. Yeah, we had to re-tack the other three times. And I was going to be ticking them off. We forgot. And then at the end of the hour, and by the way, we'll thank 7-11. I say again, 7-11. I say again, 7- again, like it was a Mayday signal. How coffee. And then we got called in and said, hey, that doesn't count.
Starting point is 00:27:34 That doesn't count. Three separate types. Well, on the list, it never said separate. It doesn't say that. We did separate it with I say again, to make sure we had everyone's attention. Proo joins us now. Oh, how do you prove? Oh, oh boy. Oh tension. Proo joins us now. Oh, how do you prune?
Starting point is 00:27:45 Oh, hi boys. Ah, hi. Prune, what's the item that you own or maybe not? It's a figurine from Tutankhamans tomb. Oh, like from the actual tomb? Yes. Gee, how'd you get your hands on that? I don't think you do own that.
Starting point is 00:28:00 Prune. Okay, go for it. Oh, yeah. It was handed down from family. Okay, which family? So who was it? So you've part of the original Tomb Raiders were in your family? Ah, yes. Not Tomb Raiders. Well, they were. Well, I mean, as Jim, you don't have a Egyptian family from 6,000 years ago. King Tattoon is in there. You know, a lot of the kind of your
Starting point is 00:28:28 jimmy that passed out here have one of these figurines. What does it make? Don't actually don't bear me with this. Give this to family. Ask this down. What's it made of? It's like, I don't know, some sort of metal, I don't know, from back in those days. Yeah, interesting. What does it look like? It's like 10 centimetres tall and about 2 centimetres wide and it's like a fair, like a fairo's figure and looks like a fairo. It's like an action figure, like a genital.
Starting point is 00:29:03 I can't imagine. I thought it was more so. It was more like a brass and gold That's like an action figure like a genital. I was just like that. I thought it was more stubborn, and I was like, well, it was more stubborn. I was like, well, it was more stubborn, and I was like, well, it was more stubborn, and I was like, well, it was more stubborn, and I was like, well, it was more stubborn, and I was like, well, it was more stubborn, and I was like, well, it was more stubborn, and I was like, well, it was more stubborn, and I was like, well, it was more stubborn, and I was like, well, it was more stubborn, and I was like, well, it was more stubborn, and I was like, well, it was more stubborn, and I was like, well, it was more stubborn,
Starting point is 00:29:11 and I was like, well, it was more stubborn, and I was like, well, it was more stubborn, and I was like, well, it was more stubborn, and I was like, well, it was more stubborn, and I was like, well, it was more stubborn, and I was like, well, it was more stubborn, and I was like, well, it was more stubborn, and I was like, well, it was more stubborn, and I was like, well, it was more stubborn, and I was like, well, it was more stubborn, and I was like, well, it was more stubborn, and I was like, well, it was more stubborn, and I was like, well, it was more stubborn, and I was like, it was more stubborn, and I was like, well, it was more stubborn, and I was like, well, it was more stubborn, and I was like, well, it was more stubborn, and I was like, well, it was more stubborn, and I was like, well, it was more stubborn She has King to how do you know it's authentic proof? My
Starting point is 00:29:25 Great aunt actually traveled through Egypt in the 1930s and that's where she collected it from Right, so that's the thing. I think so she might have been done at a market. She could have been done at a market But which she positive through Yes, she was Actually, he visited Tutankhamans tomb when they were excavating it. In the 30s. Yeah, because the actual tomb was found in 1922. Yep, okay, because they were all checking out.
Starting point is 00:29:53 I mean, I'm getting confused with various Indiana Jones movies. That's the extent of my knowledge. I still don't think they excavated it and went, wow, we've found this. You know what? Keep a couple of things. Do you read this side? Give one of these to the crowds outside. Is this even here? Yeah, I just feel like a lot of it
Starting point is 00:30:09 went to the British Museum. But my point is, and like Prume believes that she has one. Doesn't mean that she actually has one. So what do we, what do we think? No, in that case, it's, you know, that's the origin. Little metal statue of Tutankham and do you put it like a GI Joe figurine that you very often.
Starting point is 00:30:33 I mean, we have to say, you don't have one. So you're both saying no? Yes, here we are. Sorry, you jubed, I do. Wow. I believe you. Where is it?
Starting point is 00:30:47 Where are you keeping this priceless artifact? Well, it is priceless, but I don't know. It's just one of those things that just sits in the cupboard. It's like a toy. It's a toy. It's a toy. It's a toy for us too. I know, but it's from the most famous archaeological find of the ancient world.
Starting point is 00:31:09 I mean, don't throw it out under it. I'm not going to throw it out. Because it's too small. Don't, don't, don't, don't neck on it too hard. I don't mean it is tiny. It's a piece of shit. Well done. Thank you very much.
Starting point is 00:31:24 That's all right. I'm still suspicious. Sorry, sorry to do you. No, no, you're allowed to have the show rule on either and this one occasion, but let's get a photo of it. Can you send us a photo of it? Let's get a photo and put that up. Well, it's actually in the river outside our house. What do you mean? So we had it, but it's been thrown in the river because it's bad luck because it's got a curse on it. Who threw in the river because it's bad luck because it's got a curse on it.
Starting point is 00:31:46 Who threw in the river? My mom. What happened right before she threw it in the river? My sister had a car accident. Oh, gosh, she's still OK. Yeah, she's OK. This was like years ago. Oh, yeah, I'll get it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:59 That yeah. Oh, she blew it. Oh, she got it. Oh, she gets someone to die for it if you want me to. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:32:09 I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:32:17 I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know about everything in my house, just so robbers and deterred, but I got the guitar and can't even do it.
Starting point is 00:32:27 What else happened in the family that your mum... My Nana had a fall in that same month. Yeah, there just been a couple of incidents that were like, oh, that's a bit cursed. And then when she did throw it in the river, in the bay We had a big storm and one of the boats out in the bay ended up on the on the Shore, all right don't tell those guys you threw the curse in the water Exactly the insurance won't cover it up. Pretty thank you very much What's going on in pru's life? Jacob a hoi to you Jacob. Jacob, how do you Jacob?
Starting point is 00:33:06 How are you boys? How about a birthday, Andrew? No need. Good on you, Dave. What have you got? Mate. I feel like this will be close to your heart, Andrew. I've got a cricket bat from David Warner.
Starting point is 00:33:18 Oh, David Warner. David Warner. What? No, he might be a priester at the moment. And as yet to be. Where'd you pick up Warner's bat? Well, I was doing work experience at cricket myself. I was in year 10 and I was just sort of in the office there and then he came through,
Starting point is 00:33:35 went down to the net session. So he said, I do want to come feed the balls in the ball machine 40. I said, no worries. Putting in the machine for him. And then after he's session, we're just chatting and I'll just, you know, doing it for the shadow batting with his bats picked up one and he goes, oh, yeah, that's my, that's my heaviest bat.
Starting point is 00:33:51 I don't really use any more. You can keep it. And there you go. That's what, what, David? How many goes for about 10 bats a game? What, what was the weight of that? Oh, it was a two nine, and a. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:03 He knows he's bats, he knows he's willow. Yeah. And obviously, give us the,-nine, and oh. He knows he's Willow. And obviously, this is a softball, but give us the make of the bat. Well, it's a gray nickels, it was a caboom. Yeah, I think he's got it. I think you've got this. Jacob? I've got it.
Starting point is 00:34:20 You've got to make it back. Yeah, you can't do it that big though. It's too heavy. No, no, I use it for... I thought I still use it. You've got to make it back. Yeah, yeah. It's too heavy. No, no, I use it for, I thought I still use it. I've used it for a six to seven seasons at least and it's using my favorite bat. Yeah, it's either the bat and it scored one for fun off it. When you get bored scoring him for the team after the total has been reached then it's in the fun mode. That's one of those good things of the fun switch at the back. Jake what's the most what's the biggest
Starting point is 00:34:48 innings you've had with the bat? Uh, 117. Gee. How'd you get out? Uh, there's only one way to get out when you got Devawarn's bat caught on the boundary. Thank you. Thank you. So good to see you. It was an arm for team. Good to see you. Good to see you. It was an arm fatigue. Could this be, could this be, could this be, it wasn't LVW, because you couldn't move them back across anymore. Jacob, thank you, Hayne, one arm for us. That's good.
Starting point is 00:35:11 Which means over to Brody. A, how do you Brody? A, how do you, what have you got in quotation marks? Okay, so mine's very interesting. It's insignificant for some people, but I find it quite special. It is a you know the microphone, the phone bits that go over the microphone. Yes, a pop-up. Yeah, one of those that has been kissed by Johnny Depp. Why was he kissing a mic? So we, well, yeah, we were on holidays So we, yeah, well, yeah. We were on holidays at Raby Bay, I don't know, it was about eight years ago now, when he was filming one of the pirates.
Starting point is 00:35:51 Yep. The Pirate of the Caribbean, maybe. And we went down to have a bit of a look the morning before he kind of went out to whatever island they were off to. And one of the seven news reporters, those son-writers were there. Johnny had been late, and for whatever reason, she'd asked for a kiss because they'd been waiting so long. So he kissed her on the cheek, but then stole her microphone and started kind of kissing it,
Starting point is 00:36:21 I guess, and then he was overdelivered on the the request and then to you then asked for the microphone. No, so he kind of preenced away like he took the microphone from a already character. Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack,
Starting point is 00:36:43 Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack. I gave it back to, I think her name was Michelle, and she said, I could keep the phone bit of the microphone. What do you think, him? It's detail. Very detail. What color is it? Black.
Starting point is 00:36:58 Yeah. Yeah. Star-shaped black on a color. Yeah. No, you're good detail. You're a good witness. I mean, it's very detailed. It is the kind of thing you can imagine Johnny Depp doing. Is it too detailed like a sick day when you're not sick?
Starting point is 00:37:14 Yeah, look on YouTube. It's on YouTube. Okay. Well, I mean, did he indeed himself to you? Like, were you watching the trial this year going, that's not the Johnny I know? I did watch it very closely. And were you team Johnny?
Starting point is 00:37:33 I was, yes. I think I kind of had to be. Well, I've been managed to do something. I've done so many extra kisses. I was a close-up. I was a close-up. I was a close-up. He went the kiss on the cheek. I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry.
Starting point is 00:37:48 I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry.
Starting point is 00:38:04 I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry. I'm it exists as well, Brody. I'm going to start off by saying my name is not actually Brody. I'm not sure if you remember me, but I have due to about a lot of things. And I've done it again. I mean, I want a banner from the show, but it's part of the game. It's the kind of already banned me twice. I mean, I want a banner from the show, but it's part of the game. You can't leave your hand. It's kind of already banned me twice. Have I? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:28 OK. Well, the bands aren't working because we obviously don't run too much of a checking system. I mean, Andy, if you're the best detective in the world, you don't have a band Thomas Crown. You want to take him down during the theft. Yeah, that's true. OK, I met lovely two. Well, not really. No, thanks for coming on the game. Do you have any of this happened?
Starting point is 00:38:48 It actually happened, but not to me. I wasn't there. Yeah, I've never been to Rabie Bay, but he did kiss Michelle Tapper. I did see it on sunrise as it was happening. Yeah, and you thought of yourself a father's away from it? I thought of that. Yeah. A father's away from a future story because I'm a compulsive one. And I found a show where I can exercise my wish to lie.
Starting point is 00:39:14 Very good, very good. Thank you, and it. Thanks, guys. Hey, good news for people that were waiting for our remembering project to become not exclusive to listener, but available worldwide everywhere. That day is today. So you can go, you can go and get the remembering project now where I'm going to try and look or remember back over 3,000 shows and work out what we're doing back in the day. It is really great fun.
Starting point is 00:39:44 We had so much fun making this podcast. I mean, most of the time we cannot remember what was going on, but it has been a ball. But yes, now it's enjoyed its stay with listener. Yes. It's exclusive stay, but now it is able to leave that padded facility and it and been rehabbed. They've shaken hands with it. They're giving back its watch and said, you know, don't do it again.
Starting point is 00:40:10 And we were actually love to do it again. I was like, no, do it again. I'm afraid to go now to any other home. I'm in a double announcement. Now that exciting one for us, but we have partnered with Apple. We've got every show we've ever done is available on subscription and Apple.

Oh no, sorry, yeah, right, here we go. 2006, 2006. The Wii was released by Nintendo and a lot of TV's got broken by people letting go of the controller during Wii Sports.
Starting point is 00:41:16 I'm getting ready to serve. All I just threw that ball up in the air and went up and up. Australia made their first World Cup in 30 years, only to be cruelly knocked out when their talents took a dive and scored a bogus penalty. We said hello for the first time to James Plunt while he said goodbye. Goodbye, my lover. Goodbye, my friend. Australians marveled at the incredible survival of two miners, Todd Russell and Brat Webb. They're alive and they've been rescued, made it to the top of the shaft that's kept them prisoner-finally two weeks. 2006 was also a big year for Hay Mission Handy.
Starting point is 00:42:02 In fact, it was one of their first years on full-time drive radio and they were establishing a few regular characters, like their mate Brad Blanks, interviewing stars on the red carpet. That blanks are Ricky Javace, thanksy. The f*** sake is often leave me alone. F***ing Aussie Nightman. You're the only man in bed with a bigger face than me. Or Haymes Granmar Moussi, who had this exchange with infamous criminal, Choppa Reed.
Starting point is 00:42:29 Sharpa, what's the worst thing you've ever had? The worst thing you've ever had, I've ever eaten really good, four heem- Who were the heem- with a four heem- What did that do to you, mate? I didn't do much at all, really, I don't know. I think I was nothing in between. What the fuck? We're a very low-want-in-swamping, mate. Great, look out. We're very low in insulting math.
Starting point is 00:42:45 Right, right, right, right, right, right. Or one, you're making a powerful enemy, yeah. And it was the year they started spending every Friday in their jocks. It's been, it's been, it's been, it's been, it's been Friday, party, it's been, it's been, it's been, it's been, It was also the year Andy One Cleo's Bachelor of the Year,
Starting point is 00:43:08 a contest that Hamish placed a rather sizable bet on and asked the people how to spend the winnings. All right, mission's begun. The gambling scene boys and boy, Greyhound. Oh, that's a pretty good idea. What if we'd want a Greyhound and called it Fred Bassett? That would be beautiful. That would be brilliant.
Starting point is 00:43:30 No way, we call it Fred Bassett. But they did buy a greyhound and did name him Fred Bassett. He's out by about two legs and furious fingers. Freddie is often gone before the turn. He laid five two. Nightfix is the big danger. He's closing fast. Run, Fred, run. Fred Bassett, let it. He's up, sorry. He's going before the turn, he laid five two. Nine tricks is the big danger, he's closing fast. Run, Fred, run. Fred Bassett, let her... He's not sorry. He's gonna get there.
Starting point is 00:43:49 He's home, Fred Bassett, he hangs on a... He'll inspire half the nine tricks. So close, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, What happens if Dave pushes the button on his boat that is clearly marked, do not press? Oh, I'm about to push it. Do it. Ready? Hmm. I've just pushed it. Is it quick and noise at the back of the boat?
Starting point is 00:44:15 What else? What else is going on? No, not nice. That's a bit of it. All that, no, just to click.
