Starting point is 00:01:29 this is what's going on. Many, many months ago, I fell through a dimensional portal behind a burger king into the fantastical land of fune. Luckily, I'm still getting a slight Wi-Fi signal from the burger king, and I use that to upload a podcast. I record usually every week in the Vermilion Minotaur, which is a tavern in the town of Hogg's face in the land of Foon,
Starting point is 00:01:50 but this week to celebrate my buddy Chuchu's and you see his restaurant, Chuchu's Chao, I am recording from Chuchu's Chao. Yeah, baby. Did that make any sense? Yeah, I did. Starting point is 00:03:08 Shunt, the restaurant. You guys open. Yeah, thank you for coming. I mean, I have to say it really means the world to me that you're here. Yeah, buddy. You know, I didn't know if you've ever come. So I think I just want you to have the best time. So we'll sit here at the chef's table and anything you want is on me.
Starting point is 00:03:26 Wow! What is the first thing? Is there an appetizer I should have? Should we work our way through the meal during the podcast? There is a prefix menu. That means it's set. It's like a set menu. It must be a food thing.

If you don't know how to prefix it, you must be a food thing. So it starts with like I said, our special two is deep fried fox face. So that's what you you're making a face. I like the first two words. Oh, it's delicious. Oh, you skin the face of a fox and you slowly lower the space meat into a boiling hot pool of oil. Until it just is crispy and delicious. Love that chef. It's all wonderful.
Starting point is 00:04:17 Sump. I'm gonna warn listeners, I'm just guessing this episode is going to be Used or chef voice heavy, so if you're not a fan you probably just turn it off right now So we have that and then we also have a horse tail fritters I mean the rest is kind of up to the chef. We have a new chef. We have a such chef So he kind of dictates what great day the best ingredients are and what we can get from the you know it sounds like adventurous fair I am here to support you guys. I'm excited to eat yeah all that stuff To start do you want a glass of we have sparkling out here sparkling out here is sure I get sounds odd, but um It's just kind of like a palette cleanser. Starting point is 00:06:49 And Leonard, I've heard that you're a half, you're a half giant? Yes. So, the way it works is I don't know. The little half of my body is a giant. As you can see. Oh, sure, yeah, wow. My legs are quite large. And the upper half is, well, I'll just say it's a human.
Starting point is 00:07:13 Yeah, it's only gone food pear shape. Yes, oh, yes. That is right, pear shape. Yes. And you know, it offered me quite some goodness as a chef, you know, they are long hours. Sure. But, you know, with my giant legs that are also immortal, as a giant, as a year-old. Oh, immortal, wow.
Starting point is 00:07:38 Yeah, long after her top half is dead, those legs will be running out. Oh, no. They're being just cavorting about looking for a restaurant in which to cook. Sure. Do you cook much with your legs? I will. I try to keep them planted firmly on the ground. Sure. As to give my upper parts more dexterity. Sure.
Starting point is 00:08:02 But you know I have been known to take a little more growl here in there. Yeah, I'm talking. Get to the point. Crazy. Yeah, baby. Yeah. Yes.
Starting point is 00:08:13 A pot. Oh boy. It also helps to have a half-giant in a kitchen just so there's not going to be any unruly customers, you know? Right. If people don't like what they're eating, and they're like, I need to see the chef once a half-giant comes out. They're not going to complain. Yeah, they're like half-terrified. Yeah're eating and they're like, I need to see the chef once a half giant comes out, they're not gonna let you know.
Starting point is 00:08:25 Yeah, they're like half terrified. Yeah, exactly. They're like, yeah. Yeah, yeah. You know, if I were a half giant, if my legs were giant and the top of me wasn't, I would always pull the maneuver of always be sitting down

Starting point is 00:10:02 Yes, definitely face heavy. So we definitely have the fox face and then we also have the sheep's face. And of course, the pig's face would show, which is a delicacy. So... And you really should watch Win Leonard's in the kitchen
Starting point is 00:10:18 and he's taking the face off, like that whole face off procedure is just... Oh, I'm a big fan of face off. Like, it holds up. Yeah, it holds up. Is it the... Yeah, the procedure... The procedure... It holds up.

Starting point is 00:10:35 Like, it kind of works. Yeah. So Leonard, what made you decide to become a chef? Well, I think it's interesting. It's actually a legacy in... A legacy. Yes, in the human part of my family. Oh, you know, well, it was my duty to carry it on. Even when we escaped the dreaded earth place for What? Yes, my family and I, we fled. fled, who came to form, and we fell behind a door, some sort of sandwich shop.
Starting point is 00:11:13 And we came here and my mother was the human hour. She said, Leonard, this is your destiny. You must carry it on, and I did. Well, your human ancestors come from Earth and not from food. It is true, yes, and they are also from Earth, but it was a long time ago. Holy crap, well maybe you can answer, what's a Houdini? Do you know? Because Arnie didn't seem to know. It's just not as interesting as you think it's gonna be is it some kind of dish
Starting point is 00:11:50 We think it's a person named Peter Houdini. Oh Yeah, that sounds right. Do you remember anything about your life as a human on earth? Unfortunately, I don't we left when I was just a few months old in human time and So I don't remember I remember a lot of bright lights and that's about it. So let me understand this. Starting point is 00:20:44 Oh, man, I've had some wonderful ideas and of course you see and I would pass the ideas back and forth. Yes I do. Yes, one that I am particularly looking forward to is the cram and scrap which is a new dish that I am creating. You're going to love it, yes. that I am creating. You're going to love it, aren't you? Yes, yes. Um, well, the way it works is, are you taking any animal?
Starting point is 00:21:09 Whatever animal you happen to find under the light of formal. Okay. And are you finding that animal? A gopher, a bear, a pig. It does not matter. It does not matter. I really wouldn't do anything.

And are you so it up in the belly and now keep in mind this is all done in the light of the full moon. So you have to do this before the sunrise. And you... Because if the sunrise is and you're still working the animal reanimates? Yes, yes. And then you have to find it full of brummy.
Starting point is 00:22:18 Forifying it really isn't. So we're so it up and then soak the animal in its own urine. Oh 24 hours 24 hours just so it really soaks up all that urine. Yes. I can tell your mouth is watering Cook it for just restyls But another thing that we've we've been kicking around we haven't we haven't quite figured this one out yet Yes, but there's so many left over chicken parts Oh, yes, yes, there's so many leftover chicken parts because you cook the feet obviously Yeah, so the rooster feet you have chicken breasts and chicken thighs
Starting point is 00:22:56 But then there are all these bones and heads and beaks and we really were thinking about putting all that stuff into a pastry And we're actually we actually wanted to slip all name for that So the chicken parts in a pastry do you get you judge one have the wonderful ideas?
