So to be clear, Mr. Trump has no financial relationships with any Russian oligarchs.
That's what he said.
That's what I think that's obviously what our position is.
I'm not aware of any of those activities.
I have been called a surrogate at a time or two in that campaign and I didn't have,
not have communications with the Russians.
What do I have to get involved with Putin for having nothing to do with Putin?
I've never spoken to him.
I don't know anything about a mother than he will respect me.
Russia, if you're listening, I hope you're able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing.
So it is political. You're a communist!
No, Mr. Green. Communism is just a red hairing.
Like all members of the oldest profession I'm a capitalist.
Hello, welcome to Mola Shiroot.
Okay, so here's the thing. We don't normally do this,
but we're recording for some reason on a Monday night.
We had to split stuff up. I know why. It was because I was a leadership conference.
And I didn't have time to record on Saturday.
I had to unplug and wind, not that that's convenient for anybody else other than me.
But you got to relax, A.G.
As we know, my leadership style is, you know, this is conjecture, but I'm correct.
So what we're going to do now is we are sitting here as we're writing down and and and prepping
this episode.
Crazy news breaks.
The New York Times gets a hold of a list of dozens of questions that are going to be asked
by Mueller to Trump or like questions he's planning on asking.
And we already knew the four areas.
We covered those in past episodes, mini-sodes and regular sods, right? We talked about the four areas. We covered those in past episodes,
mini-sodes and regular soads, right?
We talked about the four areas,
but this is, what are those four areas?
They were-
That's direction.
The firing of Comey, right?
The pressure of sessions, the dangling of partens,
and I just remember dangling part of this.
I remember these paintings, such a picture, and the cover remember dangling Partins.
It paint such a picture and the cover up on Air Force One.
Those are the four main things, right?
So we had those and those got leaked,
but now like seriously,
the Mueller's lawyers sat down and talked to Trump's lawyers
and said these are the fucking 50 questions we have
and they took notes and somebody leaked those notes
to the New York Times.
This is huge news because it goes over everything Mueller's looking for from Trump in this investigation.
Yeah, it's nuts. It is just crazy. Watching it on CNN, we were just watching all the questions
roll through just like credits of a movie. It's essentially just highlighting all of the points,
all the key points in the investigation in a question form. And are these questions for Mueller, like for Trump, whenever he's like willing to talk
or what is the context of these questions?
I don't know, that's a great question.
I don't know.
I think these were probably the questions that they gave to the Trump legal team before.
And I think this was probably before the Cohen raid happened. had it. Yeah, before they lost hope. I'm guessing
Yeah, because I think that the the chances of Trump talking to him have
These questions. Yeah, he's approval rating pretty much
The thing about this the thing about these questions is
Seriously, they give you a complete outline of what the Miller investigation is as far as Trump
actually being a subject, not a target yet,
because they don't look like Miller.
Right, he may never officially be a target, actually.
Correct, so, but these are the questions surrounding
Trump himself, right?
So I just wanted to get into him.
I wanted to go over him.
I thought it was important.
I'm gonna make this free.
I got yelled at one time for locking up mini-sodes.
I know, on the iTunes review. Yeah, I know
That was brutal. Yeah, it's like it's a fucking dollar in this economy. Yeah
It's hard of our it's one of our couple of two star reviews
Yeah, thanks to Trump unemployment is at an all-time low everybody. We have no one star reviews. Oh, yeah
That's not an invitation to go make one
One star reviews. I'll have you. Yeah, that's pretty cool. That's not an invitation to go make one
I'm gonna make one now. Now everyone's gonna do it. They're gonna be like one star. Dada-dada Do I say that Jolie's like girl?
Still gonna be one star.
It'd be like the worst rated awesome podcast of all time
So sorry anyway, it's just you know, I'm not
That way anyway, please check these questions out.
I'm really excited.
So the first question, what did you know about,
okay, I'm just gonna go through the questions.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, go for it.
Yeah.
What did you know about phone calls that Mr. Flynn made
with the Russian ambassador, Sergey Kisleyak
in late December 2016?
Classic.
Can I be Trump?
I'm just gonna say, I don't know.
I do.
Yeah.
So this revolves around whether Trump
tried to obstruct justice to protect Mr. Flynn from
prosecution, right?
His phone calls with Kissley Accord, the heart of that inquiry.
Right.
Right.
Let's see.
What was your reaction to news reports on January 12, 2017, and February 8, the 9th of 2017?
Like Trump's going to remember that.
Yeah.
He got to paint it out.
I will.
The Washington Post, David Ignatius revealed that Mr. Flynn's phone calls with Mr. Kissley
Act.
Mr. Ignatius questioned whether those conversations had violated a law prohibiting private
citizens from attempting to undermine American politics because he wasn't president at the
time, right?
Right.
Or they weren't in office.
That's like a Logan Act thing.
Exactly. And in February, Washington Post revealed the true nature of Flynn's conversation. So they wanted
to know what your reaction was to those. Right. Were you like, what? No way. Not my Flynn. I was shocked.
I was shocked in a poll. Right. To be honest, I am surprised. You guys watch Family Guy.
It feels like I'm a broom. Family guy. Yeah. It was a good episode.
I'm a broom.
What did you know about Sally Yates' meeting about Mr. Flynn?
Obviously.
He wants to know what that.
He's basically trying to develop how he thought, what he thought about Flynn and what he was
trying to do.
Such good questions.
Yeah.
How was the decision made to fire Mr. Flynn on February 13th 2017 18 days after Mrs. Yates warning by the
Missy is that excuse me no no no question. Oh, okay. That's just a little okay. I was gonna say that's a little bit leading
This is suspicious it was and by the way I
I mean, that's a species it was. And by the way, I feel really confident
that Flynn, or not Flynn, sorry,
Mueller already has some proof,
or other corroborating proof about the answers
to these questions.
I feel like Trump is the only guy
who can provide the answer.
Right, right. He's just like, he wants only guy who can provide the answer. Right, right.
He's just like, he wants to know what Trump has to say.
Even though someone else gets totally contradict that.
He wants to know if Trump's going to purge or himself.
Yes.
Yes.
And so many of the questions as we were watching them,
I don't know if you felt like this too,
but it was essentially just like literally going over
and going back in time for the breaking news
that's been being reported.
So it's like, I could answer half those questions
just based on what's been reported.
Exactly, that's why I wanted to read them on our show.
It's because if you listen to our show on a regular basis,
you know the answers to these questions.
And not because you're guessing.
Yeah.
Because of amazing journalism.
Yeah.
It's pouring rain.
It is really pouring.
If you can hear that, if you can hear that on the thing.
You almost made it stop.
And flames basically.
What is this?
Weather?
What rain?
What is water?
If you can't hear it, just know it's odd for us.
Yes.
If you can't hear it, I'm surprised.
I'm kind of scared.
What I think you're into is we won't get thunder and lightning, because that's what we don't get to.
Right, right. It's like a 30% chance of rain today.
So it's not the...
I miss thunderstorms, I do.
Yeah, well, in the south, it's creepy.
Oh, I lived in Florida for a long time.
Oh, and you like it?
Lightning cap, no, I hate it.
Oh, yeah, scary.
Right.
Well, I'm sorry, I shouldn't say, heat.
The storms are scary.
The reason I hate it.
The reason I hate it for Florida is psychological.
It's got nothing to do with the actual place.
But I do love the
lightning storms over there. So anyway, yeah. Well, in that time, the rain has stopped. Yeah. See,
that's why we do this. After, here we go, after the resignations, what effort, excuse me, what
efforts were made to reach out to Mr. Flynn about seeking immunity or possible pardons?
So that's you know when New York Times revealed
When Mr. Flynn began considering cooperating with the FBI Mr. Trump slurs dangled pardons
Here's some questions related to Komi
Hey, buddy. Heyy, you listening?
I love you.
So what was your opinion of Mr. Comey during the transition?
That's interesting.
Yeah.
It's important because if Mr. Trump truly was upset about the Clinton investigation, he would
have shown.
Exactly.
I don't remember him being upset.
I think I remember him saying I love WikiLeaf. He was Wiki Lee saying good job coming. That's how to get to that. Oh by the way releasing these questions
probably makes it really difficult to get the truth out of Trump, but maybe they got released
because they aren't going to interview Trump. Yeah exactly. They're like so scrued. Just know what
we wanted to ask you. Here's what we were going to say. Yeah, yeah, think about it. Uh, think about it, think about it.
Word of scared Trump into some shit
or his people.
Yeah.
Trump did some crazy shit with the tabloids today.
That's right, with Michael Cohen.
Yeah, he put out, you know how he's buddies
with the National Enquirer.
National Enquirer.
The Peer-Cutter.
You've selected Becker.
Uh, there, headline across Cohen lies. you know, what it was at Cohen investigation,
lies in deceit. Like Trump put basically sent a message to Cohen on the on the front of this
tabloid paper saying, I will ruin you. You you want to play hardball with me? Jesus.
What's going to happen? So bullying. Uh, this level of treachery is beyond me. I've been petty in my name. I don't know how many lies I could keep up
It's easier to it's easier to be petty when you own newspaper right. It's a different level
What's here's another good here's another good. What did you think about mr. Comey's intelligence briefing on January 6th 2017 about Russian election interference?
Or he said that Hillary was
2016-2017 about Russian election interference. Oh, were he said that Hillary was, what, what he, what's the word he used?
Well, this is the briefing that revealed American intelligence agencies had concluded, uh,
Russian operatives met up in the election to her Clinton and to boost Trump.
Right.
And to cast doubts on these conclusions and, uh, said he believes, uh, the Russian president
Putin, who did his interference.
Yeah, so what did Trump think?
What did you think about that?
It seems to me that these questions,
Mueller's being really smart about asking these questions not to try to get Trump to corroborate
any sort of physical events that happened, but to build a case against his motive.
In the public eye of nothing else.
And he wound up doing, and the way he asks, or the way he would have asked to them is very tricky.
Yeah, they're not regular like, it's almost like a
mean way.
It's like a question.
It's almost like a logical.
Right.
It's almost like, all right.
So if you have a big dick, you'll answer this way.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Exactly.
You don't have a big dick.
You clearly wanted this.
Which one is it?
Oh, Trump was totally fall for one of those trash.
That's what this is.
And I know he's gonna be looking at this saying like,
see this is exactly what I knew they were gonna try to do.
Purchase the trap.
Yeah, someone who have to tell him that though,
he won't be able to realize it.
Exactly, no seriously, yeah.
And Dowd's gone, so I don't know who's gonna.
If it's gonna have to make it.
It's gonna have to make it.
He's not gonna be looking out for him.
Juliani probably. Oh, maybe. That's his only hope, yeah.. It's a one-on-one. It's a one-on-one. It's a one-on-one. It's a one-on-one. It's a one-on-one.
It's a one-on-one.
It's a one-on-one.
It's a one-on-one.
It's a one-on-one.
It's a one-on-one.
It's a one-on-one.
It's a one-on-one.
It's a one-on-one.
It's a one-on-one.
It's a one-on-one.
It's a one-on-one.
It's a one-on-one.
It's a one-on-one.
It's a one-on-one.
It's a one-on-one.
It's a one-on-one.
It's a one-on-one.
It's a one-on-one.
It's a one-on-one.
It's a one-on-one.
It's a one-on-one. It's a one. What was your reaction to Mr. Comey's briefing that day about other intelligence matters?
That's the one he handed in the pee tape stuff.
The pee-stay.
I thought he said pee-stay.
I'm doing a thing.
Yeah, pee-stay to my pee.
My dad was really into spoonerisms.
And if you know what spoonerisms are,
I can congratulate you.
Is that like spooning?
No.
He would read me fairy tales where he would talk about
Render Sella and her sister, Eglars, or her.
Oh, that's fun.
That's Spoonerisms.
Yeah, we do it a lot in Renfair.
Like pick that in or something.
Yeah, kind of.
Yeah, okay.
We trade the first consonants of words.
Yeah.
Yeah, it's exactly just that.
Okay, what was the purpose of your January 27th?
Sorry, January 27th, 2017 dinner with Comey and what was said, that's the loyalty.
Oh, the honest loyalty dinner. That's classic. What was the purpose of your February 14th meeting with Comey and what was said?
This was where he said, I hope you can see where clear to letting this go.
What did you know about the FBI's investigation into Mr. Flint? Sorry.
Hello, director of the FBI. What did you know about the FBI's investigation into Mr. Flint, sorry, hello director of the FBI.
What did you know about the FBI's investigation?
No.
So, Trump, what did you know about the FBI's investigation into Mr. Flynn and Russia in
the days leading up to Mr. Comey's testimony on March 20th?
Good question.
That's his public who confirmed testimony.
The saying the FBI was investigating members of the Trump campaign for possible coordination with Russia.
Mr. Mueller wants to know what role that revelation played in Komi's firing.
What did you do in reaction to the March 20th testimony?
Describe your contacts with intelligence officials.
In the aftermath, WAPO, Washington Post reported Mr. Trump asked the US, the US, like the IC,
basically, Daniel Coates, to pressure Mr. Comey to back off his investigation.
So he wants to know when you learned about that, did you pressure people?
He did that to Burr, he did that to Pompeo, he did that to Rogers, he did that to underlings
of Burr. It was a lot.
What do you... Here's another one. What did you think and do in reaction to the news that the
special counsel was speaking to Mr. Rogers, Mr. Pompeo, and Mr. Coats? It's not clear whether
Mueller knows something specific about Trump's reaction to those interviews. But the question
shows that Mueller is keenly interested in how Trump responded to each step
of the investigation, which makes sense.
That would help build intent, right?
What was the purpose of your calls to Mr. Comey on March 30th and April 11th?
Those are the loyalty things again.
Bente took notes, et cetera.
Memos were made, those calls.
What was the purpose of your April 11, 2017 statement to Maria?
Bardiromo.
I didn't know who this was.
That's a new one, right?
Yeah, Bardiromo is a new name for me.
So here's what the New York Times says.
Quote, while the White House ultimately said Mr. Comey was fired for breaking with
the Justice Department policy and discussing the Clinton investigation, Mr. Trump expressed
no such qualms in an interview with Mrs. Bartoromo on Fox Business Network.
Quote, director Comey was very, very good to Hillary Clinton.
That I can tell you.
And he said, if he weren't, she would be right now going to trial. So how
can you possibly fire Comey for mishandling the Clinton emails when you went on Fox news
and said, Comey was great to Clinton by being a dictator. That's, I didn't think about
that. What did you think about Mr. Comey's May 3rd 2017 testimony? That's a Senate appearance
and Comey described his handling of the Clinton
investigation in detail. He was fired right after that. Mr. Mueller's question suggests he wants to know
why Mr. Trump's hour, like why he decided bad things. Regarding the decision to fire Mr. Komi,
regarding the decision to fire Komi, when was it made? Why? Who played a role?
That's all very important. What did you mean when you told Russian diplomats on May 10th that firing Mr. Komi had taken pressure off?
To the Russian media not fucking around. Komi's being very like super casual about this too. Oh, not Komi
I'm sorry, Mueller like Mueller, Mueller can totally just like,
really break it down.
Like, I know you did it.
That's pretty straightforward right there.
Yeah, I mean, he's doing it.
What you mean?
He derain that line.
What pressure would come off, exactly?
What you mean exactly?
Just clarify that for me.
Maybe he meant, you know, something else.
Even if he gives Trump more time to explain himself,
there's no way all these answers are gonna make sense.
I was just trying to make something up in my head,
and I couldn't even.
It's impossible.
I keep confusing Komi and Moller sometimes,
but Moller has so many questions
that would just like trip Trump so much.
Like he just, he doesn't even remember the last lie
he tells half a time.
Here's a good one.
What did you mean in your interview with Lester Holt
about Mr. Comey in Russia?
Oh.
The way that question is worded is great.
It doesn't say what did you mean in your interview
when you said you were glad Russian pressure was taken off.
He said what did you mean in your interview
with Lester Holt about Comey and Russia?
Just explain again what you said.
You go ahead and throw yourself.
Throw your own self under the bus.
It's like an inkpot test.
It's super.
We'll see how you interpret this.
It's super open.
It opened it, right?
Yeah, yeah.
You're like, what did you,
just Mr. Hope, the thing?
Oh, I know what you're talking about.
It's when I said the thing about Russia.
Well, let me tell you about Russia.
I feel like by the end of this Trump
is gonna be like, after he's done answering all these questions,
he's just like, yeah, no, you're right, I am guilty.
Yeah, I mean, honestly, that's where, you're right. I am guilty. Yeah.
I mean, like, honestly, that's where I would end up at the interview.
Good job.
You made a great kiss.
It's the perfect crime.
I did it.
Here's a great one.
What was the purpose of your May 12, 2017 tweet?
The tweet is, James Comey better hope there are no tapes of our conversations before he
starts leaking to the press. Oh,
Lordy
Dude
That's that's a big one. That's a huge one that the leak that he claimed he was wiretapped. Yeah. Oh
Well, that's earlier. That's the picture. Oh, you're right. You're right. They're different
But still he'd assume that I mean that makes me think that that's because
Cohen was taking so many tapes like why did Trump think it was
So no this was just was not yeah, yeah, yeah, what's great?
The robbery is that Komi just appeared completely undaunted yeah
Exactly so Komi didn't think there were tapes, but Trump did why does Trump why was Trump so certain like what made it seem
Made the tapes exactly what exactly what did you think about Mr. Comey's June 8th, 2017 testimony
regarding Mr. Flynn and what did you do about it?
So basically after Comey was fired,
he testified about his conversations with Trump
and described him as preoccupied
with the FBI's investigation into Russia.
And then Trump called him a liar after that testimony.
That was such a liar after that testimony.
That was such a good day watching that.
What was the purpose of the September and October 2017 statements, including tweets regarding
an investigation of Mr. Comey?
So this is one Sarah Huckabee Sanders said that Comey testified falsely to Congress and
suggested the Justice Department might investigate Mr. Trump followed up with tweets suggesting or sorry she was
suggesting the department just should investigate Comey right and Trump followed up with tweets
saying that he should be investigated for rigging the inquiry into Clinton so they want to know
about that. I love that all of these days that have just been complete shit show days and moments
where it's like what the hell is going on
Yeah, they're they're coming back in written in stone. Yeah, oh, yeah, oh
Judicial proceeding here's a good one. What is the reason? Well, this is just this is only from that
To be a judiciary. It would have been had had Cohen not been rated in Trump refused to speak to special council almost
What is a reason for your continued criticism of mr. Comey and his former deputy Andrew McCabe?
Oh, so basically, here's what the New York Times says.
Quote, Mr. Comey and Mr. McCabe are among Mr. Trump's
favorite targets.
Mr. McCabe is a lifelong Republican,
but Mr. Trump has criticized him as a Clinton loyalist
because Mr. McCabe's wife, a Democrat, ran unsuccessfully
for office in Virginia and received donations
from a Clinton
ally.
This question suggests that Mr. Mueller wants to know whether Mr. Trump's criticism is
an effort to damage the FBI while it investigates the president's associates.
It's crazy that we even have to legally investigate whether Trump is trying to obstruct because
it's so obvious.
It's like, if he gets away with it, that's going to be.
Well, proving intent is tough.
It's really hard.
Yeah, but it's also like insulting.
It's the difference between murder one and murder three, I think.
You're right.
You're right.
Yeah.
Two, I don't know.
But yeah, it's tricky.
It's just that, I mean, that's how Trump, that's why I think
underestimating him is like a fault to us is because he knows
that the benefit of the doubt is like a fault to us is because like he knows that the benefit
of the doubt is enough for him to walk free.
We also have to understand that we know how we feel about him because of his horrible,
horrible existence.
Existence.
Existence.
History.
But you can't let that slide into.
Yeah, you can't let that seebin to his what you think his intent was there has to be proof beyond a reasonable doubt that his intent
Was malicious. Yeah, I think there's
Proof of that I haven't seen
Half of it
Exactly. We've only seen what they will out as to see we just need to wait and I do recognize my tendency to just
Assume yeah, that he has a criminal intent or negative intent. Right. Because you're right. Legally, we don't want
to jump the gun, but socially speaking, and with the eyes that we all have, like in the
ears, like we know that Trump is not fit for this. Like, come, we did not have to tell us
that he wasn't morally fit for us to know it. That just verified what most people already knew.
But it also makes us wonder, like, are we crazy for thinking that he's all first?
There's legal standards. We can't understand because we're going to go to law school.
Um, we feel it because of the dots that we've connected and the way that we think that he is in general.
That's not enough for a court of law.
Not legally, no.
It's enough for a podcast, but it's not enough for a court of law.
You're right, for a podcast, I'm curious.
And court, I'm like, well, let's see.
Yeah, we're just beyond a reasonable podcast.
But that's crazy, right?
It's crazy that it takes that much sometimes
just to even get to the court.
I'm glad that that's the legal position.
Yeah.
And it should be served that way to everyone in court.
You're totally right.
I mean, it's better for everyone. It's also so funny to think that
someone who's who in my opinion is so obviously corrupt can get this far before we're like,
all right, well, I guess we still don't know for sure. That fucking twinkie defense. Yeah,
yeah, because I've just seen it in my community, just like the big, the down people, do you want
people to think that because based on the color of your skin? Right.
You're totally right.
It's very disproportionate.
I think just growing up knowing that how easily
it's been used against us,
I'm like, oh, you mean we can wait?
We can actually wait.
Right.
So our blow hard orange orangutan bullies
is automatically guilty of whatever they do
or do we need to have the same little color?
Exactly.
And I prefer, like you said,
I prefer to have this legality in
place I prefer you know like you
mentioned by the way you know it's
conjecture but I'm right yeah no
totally I think it's better this way
and I also like Trump is like
the most important there I also
go ahead I just I just hope that
like if we're not crazy I hope that
there's justice here because it's it looks so I mean I just hope that like if we're not crazy I hope that there's justice here because it's it looks so cool
I mean I'm totally biased, but I'm just like holy shit Trump compared to like our last president
If he's already done so much that we can all agree on that as long as we can recognize that he that you know
He seems guilty isn't it's not enough. It's not You're totally right. We are relying on maybe the same things that I, you know what, I mean, we've got to get
facts.
I don't think we want to get into it.
Yeah, we, it's, go ahead.
Sorry, you meant to say something earlier.
No, it's just, it's not going to enough to be written in stone, which is what we want.
So we, it's something that's sound enough with the, with the, you know, being in the system
of their constitution.
That's why Mueller is involved in their constitution. That's why Mueller so great.
Yeah, because he will not move forward without a bulletproof case.
And he's got help the basis of these questions. Yeah.
Another one here, and then they get into Jeff Sessions a
little bit. What did you think and do a time at two? What did
you think and do regarding the refusal of Mr. Sessions, right?
What efforts did you make to try regarding the refusal of Mr. Sessions, right? What
efforts did you make to try to get him to change his mind? Like how far did you go to try
to get sessions to recuse himself or not recuse himself? Did you discuss whether Mr. Sessions
would protect you and reference past attorneys general because we have, we've heard tale
of that, meaning Eric Holder protected Obama. I want you to protect me. What did you think
and what did you do in reaction to the news of the appointment of the special counsel? I punch
to dog. Why did you hold Mr. Sessions resignation until May 31st and with whom did you discuss it?
What?
Why did you hold Mr. Sessions' resignation until May 31st, 2017 with whom did you
discuss it?
So Mr. Trump rejected Mr. Sessions' resignation after AIDS argued that it would only create
more problems.
The detail of those discussions remain unclear, but Mr. Trump's advisors have already given Mr. Mueller their account
So the conference so what are the things? Exactly. They're like when when Mr
Sessions gave you his resignation. Why did you not accept it? Oh, so so the resignation was what the recusal?
Not quite that's what I that's what I'm wondering
Yeah, there's another time when when he said I'm out. Yeah, I think that was when it was
May so it wasn't when he was trying to fire Mueller. So it must have been his recusal. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. So what was your reaction to it?
Yeah, it was his recusal because that was right after Mueller was appointed. Got it. Got it. So he was in mr. Sessions was gonna resign and Trump held it.
was going to resign and Trump held it. And so they want to know why you rejected it, who we discussed it with and what were your intentions there. What discussions did you have with
Rites Prebus in July 2017 about obtaining the sessions resignation and with whom did you discuss
it? Mo, limo, limo, limo. So Mr. Prebus, you know you know chief of staff said he raced out of the White House
after sessions and implored him not to resign. Mr. Muller has interviewed Prebus and would be
able to compare his answers with those. Mr. Trump. So he already knows the answers to this question.
He wants to know what Trump's answer is. Yes, he wants to know exactly.
And you have to be super careful answering that because
if you lie, you're purdering yourself. And if you don't, you're lying. Yeah, most of
his preparation for this would be just him studying flashcards of things he's once said.
That's all this would be. How do we keep up with his lies? Like, if I have five lies in
a row, I'm done. Like, this is a way to not lie. So you have to remember, what discussions did you have regarding
terminating the special counsel?
And what did you do when that consideration was reported in January of 20?
So not only what discussions did you have regarding firing
Miller, but what'd you do when you heard it reported?
Pop those little confetti things that you pull the string. But would you do when you heard it reported?
Pop those little confetti things that you pull the string.
I love those. Just like kept guns.
Reminds me my childhood.
What was the purpose of your July 2017 criticism of Mr.
Sessions?
That's the tweet that says attorney general Jeff Sessions has
taken a very weak position on Hillary Clinton crimes.
Now we go to campaign coordination with Russia. This is a whole, they had a whole line of questioning with Trump and collusion.
So no collusion, whatever.
When did you become aware of the Trump tower meeting?
That's a huge one.
We talked about that in the last episode.
You may have known about it where earlier than we thought.
What involvement did you have in the communication strategy, including the release of Donald Trump
Jr.'s emails?
That's the Air Force One.
There's so many dots, dude.
During a 2013 Russia trip, what communication and relationships did you have with the Agalarafs
and Russian government officials?
Right?
That's a man, a man and his dad, Amos Agalaraf, something like that.
The pageant people.
What communication did you have with Michael Cohen,
Felix Sater, and others,
including foreign nationals
about Russian real estate developments during the campaign?
I don't know, I just gotta remember all this.
I know, but I'm a human number.
But we even have to study it to know.
This Trump study, his own life.
Yeah, exactly.
Well, he should listen to our podcast.
He should.
Listen to our podcast.
You might be able to get the answers to the questions that are about to be asked of you.
Yeah.
What discussions did you have during the campaign regarding any meeting with Mr.
Putin?
Did you discuss it with others?
What discussions did you have during the campaign regarding sanctions?
What involvement did you have concerning platform changes regarding arming Ukraine? Remember Mashburn, Dearborn? That was good. During
the campaign, what did you know about Russian hacking use of social media and
other acts aimed at the campaign? Did he know about any of that? I'm sure he did
because Cohen went to Prague. What knowledge did you have of any outreach by
your campaign, including Manafort, to Russia
about potential assistance in the campaign.
Now he's getting broad, right?
What did you know about communications between Roger Stone, his associates, Julian Assange,
or WikiLeaks?
What did you know during the transition about an attempt to establish back channel communications
to Russia and Jared Kushner's office?
I'm sure he knew all about that.
What did you know about a 2017 meeting in the Seychelles involving Eric Prince?
Beautiful. What did you know about a Ukrainian peace proposal provided to Mr. Cohen in 2017?
Okay, so here's, I'm gonna read this to you because that's one I hadn't heard. Mr. Cohen,
the lawyer. The lawyer. Hand delivered to the White House a piece proposal for Ukraine and Russia. Oh,
oh, I remember this. This unusual bit of backdoor diplomacy is of interest because it involved
Ukrainian lawmaker, a Ukrainian lawmaker who said he was being encouraged by Mr. Putin.
Mr. Cohen has said he did not discuss the proposal with Mr. Trump. So that was the peace agreement that's one of those back role things.
So, whoa, that's it.
That's all of them.
That's it.
Nice.
And you know what?
I feel like exhaustive.
No, you A.E. in there.
And you know what's really interesting to me is that, well, these are questions for Trump.
Not Kushner.
It's true.
Yeah, I guess they was within the scope of what they're
investigating.
I feel like our podcast has sufficiently covered
sort of all of these areas.
I think there was maybe one or two questions we were like,
what's that about?
Even then, it's like, yeah, you're right.
We've dabbled in everything.
That's true.
This is a pretty, we are, by the way,
I'm just gonna go ahead and say it,
we're the premier and only podcast.
On just the Mueller investigation.
There's a couple out there, but I don't know that they're.
Mueller time is the only other one I know.
Oh yeah, I remember those guys.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
They are.
They're super, super good guys.
Yeah, they are.
I don't know anything else.
There's a lot of Trump pods and Trump.
Yeah, it's different though.
He's got a lot. More wise, yeah, I think we're it. I think we're just I think we're the I think we're the premiere
Mueller investigation
Podcasts in in the world right now. Yeah, that blows my mind. It's not crazy
It is you think people would be moved by this and I think it's like we have
I think it might be because we pretty much covered all of those questions
And they weren't unfamiliar at all.
No, they all rang a bell.
There was a trap one.
Like, who is that?
Right.
It was a fast news reporter.
Oh, yeah, that person.
Yeah, yeah.
It was just a Fox News report, I said.
Not.
Since day one, though, yeah, we've been covering a lot of these really important things.
Oh, 26 weeks going.
Yeah.
So we're going to release this episode for free.
I want you all to hear it. And I do a, you know, I'm not sorry for that one guy who thinks
I should give everything away.
No, man, we always going to have haters.
As if you think we're like racking in dough from our dollar.
Right.
What does he think this is?
Yeah, no, we're still in the red, bro.
And by the way, the breaking news isn't when it comes out in the mini-sodes.
Those are comprehensive things on people and events that were already covered.
So if there was some sort of crazy, I'm putting out a crazy free Monday night episode on
these questions because I think it's that important.
Oh yeah, I think you should hear it.
This is crazy news.
It's going to be the news of the week, I think, unless something immense happens between
now. A fourth porn star. That's not even that.
A sense of ties to that. There can be 12.
I see. I do. I have a question, though. So if this is what a basically the reason
why Mueller is not going to or Trump would not accept an in-person interview with Mueller,
where it's understood because Cohen's office's entire office has been rated.
And that was really the turning point of Trump, everyone just being like, yeah, he's
not going to do an interview with Mueller for sure after that.
Right.
Yeah, I think so.
Why is that still the main reason why he wouldn't do it?
Because that's where I feel like he changed his tune and backed and backed out of saying, you all interview all of the interview.
It's a good excuse if nothing else. Maybe he never wanted to.
He never wanted to. Everyone was kind of like, okay, he's not gonna fuck it.
Yeah, maybe he always hope there's something that would make it easy to back out and
that was the thing that made it easy to back out.
Yeah, I honestly. Yeah, that makes sense.
Yeah, I don't I don't see him sitting down. I feel like he's so sensitive
He's one of those people like if you know him personally, you got to walk on eggshells around him
Yeah, and I bet you learned he never taught him if you raid his his lawyers
Everything yeah, he'll be like I'm not cooperating. Yeah, that's just so incriminating in itself
So I would think if he was fucking smart at all
Maybe he would yeah study up the things he said
and just stick to his gutters.
So I don't know.
I don't know.
Okay, it's hard to say he's smart
because now it's hard to even define.
I think he's a big target.
It's like, yeah, these guys are not traditionally smart
but are they bold?
Are they independent thinkers?
They're bullies.
Yeah, they're bullies.
They are.
And honestly, I think they believe that they're doing justice to the world. When in fact,
I'm sure he by giving the world themselves. Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah. I'm sure you're, you're no. Yeah. To quote Kanye, my presence is a present. Kiss
my ass. God's gift to the little I don't see it. He's so full of himself. Yeah. Both
of them. Well, you guys,
thank you so much for letting me do this weird little interjection episode. It was just,
it was crazy breaking news and it wasn't even planned and I just wanted to get out there and
I don't know, give it to you. So, take it. Take it. Take it. Take it all. Take it all 48 questions.
And you can do a little game with yourself and see how much you can answer. Yeah. What kind of answer would I give if I were a truck? That's a good game. Well,
that and people who've been listening to us forever will know the answers to these questions.
Exactly. Or at least what they should be, what the truth is to these questions,
or why they're significant in the first place. I don't know. I just think it's this whole
night has been very vindicating for me.
Oh yeah.
And the pod, I think, just, we didn't miss any of this.
So I hope you don't miss any of us.
And we will see you soon.
I suppose tomorrow.
Next week.
I think tomorrow.
We have our MSW Book Club episode coming out.
So check that out.
It's only a dollar minimum.
You could give more if you felt like it.
If not, no bigs.
You can read the book yourself without our insights,
but I don't know.
I don't know if you want to do that.
Yeah, it's easier to listen.
It is.
It really is.
Anyway, I've had a immense time on this.
An incredible time.
I'm so glad you guys are here.
By the way, I really have to give a shout out to
Joliseau and Jordan who joined me every week.
Who do those who I give homework assignments to
and I make just write a bunch of stuff
and I think you guys are absolutely incredible.
So thank you for being here.
Thank you.
I really do appreciate it.
All the love is very sweet.
Thank you.
Yeah, I try hard.
I learned in my leadership conference
that I don't care about feelings.
So all that was completely insincere and I don't really care. I just wanted to make sure I put it out there in the world so that
You know you thought that I did that's not true. Well great. I'm saying like that's how I feel about praising people as well
I do actually since I'm like you're also in the middle. Yeah, yeah
But really this makes you feel good about myself. You're funny like I'll never believe you again

Season 4 of How We Win Is Here. For the past four years, we've been making history in critical elections all over the
country. And last year, we made history again by expanding our majority in the Senate,
eating election denying Republicans and crucial state house races, and fighting back a non-existent red wave.
But the Magga Republicans who plotted and pardoned the attempted overthrow of our government
now control the house thanks to gerrymandered maps and repressive anti-voter laws.
And the chaotic spectacle we've already seen shows us just how far they will go to seize
power, dismantle our government
and take away our freedoms.
So the official podcast of the persistence is back with season 4.
There's so much more important work ahead of us to fight for equity, justice, and our
very democracy itself.
We'll take you behind the lines and inside the rooms where it happens, with strategy and
inspiration from progressive
change makers all over the country.
And we'll dig deep into the weekly news that matters most and what you can do about it,
with messaging and communications expert co-founder of Way to Win and our new co-host, Jennifer
Fernandez and Kona.
So join Steve and I every Wednesday for your weekly dose of inspiration, action and hope.
I'm Steve Pearson.
And I'm Jennifer Fernandez and Cona.
And this is How We Win.
