Starting point is 00:00:00 You are listening to the Joe Rogan Experience Review podcast. We find little nuggets treasures, valuable pieces of gold in the Joe Rogan Experience podcast and pass them on to you, perhaps expand a little bit. We are not associated with Joe Rogan in any way. Think of us as the talking dead to Joe's walking dead. Enjoy the show. Podcast. You are listening to the Joe Rogan Experience Review. What a bizarre thing we've created now with your hosts Adam Thorne my either the worst Go draw the show
Starting point is 00:00:35 Yo guys welcome to another episode of the J.I.E. review Join us always for my buddy Garrett. What is up? Happy days. Happy days. Happy days indeed. We got a comedy heavy week to review. We got Jimmy Dole, Greg Fitzsimmons, Yannis, Poppos. Seems like Joe just went ahead and put like all his old school comedy buddies together for the week. You wanted to show you just the talk to his friends, I think. That's it. I mean, while I think he's getting so close to building that club, and maybe this is like his recruitment tool to like get all his, all his comedy buddies down, be like, hey, come on the pod.
Starting point is 00:01:19 Also move here. It's awesome. I mean, he's reiterated how many numerous times now that he doesn't even really want to make money. He's there. He's going to break even. You know what's going to be an incredibly successful club too. So it's like he's being humble, but I'm sure with his names on it and all these other people that are going to be attracted to the Austin comedy scene coming, he's definitely going to make some loot.
Starting point is 00:01:43 Who knows? I mean, Joe, Joe is a man. He seems like a Absolutely like I wouldn't be surprised if he funnels You know a lot of the profits just towards the comments, you know paying them better and I think I think I mean who knows Yeah, no doubt no doubt I can't wait to check it out and it like he really hasn't got is my thought process. I think everybody's gonna make a lot of money when it comes to that. Yeah, no doubt. No doubt. I can't wait to check it out. And like, he really hasn't got into why that one club got fucked up. It was something to do with... Terminus.
Starting point is 00:02:14 ...the environmental impact or something. He's just alluding to it, but I'm interested to hear the whole story. But... Well, that's the thing. It doesn't matter how much money you have. It's complicated as fucked open up a club There's the more and more appeal that Texas is having now It seems like and I don't know what to believe or what I read But I always just haven't dinner with some friends last night, and I was thinking about this Apparently to go to the Abby remember the remember the Abbey out in Santa Monica, West Hollywood, like, super. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:48 This is a new news. The whole staff has to be vaccinated now, and all the patrons that go there have to be vaccinated now. Oh, you have to show like a vaccine. So you don't have to go in? You can go there now. Wow. California added again. I mean, I saw something that I just saw
Starting point is 00:03:07 a meme that came out of New York saying that Cuomo said some similar shit to other restaurants and what have you in New York City. I'm not doing that every again. I'm done with people telling me what to do. So that's if that's what they want to do, then I'm fucking figuring out a new plan. I think Biden just asked Cuomo to step down because of the sexual harassment. I hope so. I read something like about that today. What's going on with the recount for news? That's been a PC out.
Starting point is 00:03:39 That's been a in transit situation. I don't know. I just pick up bits of pieces and I don't know where to look for for my news on those situations. It seems like Rogan has a tendency of... Yeah, it's just waiting for Rogan to have some more. It's interesting how that always pans out because if in any time I have a question about something, it somehow divulges itself in the conversation that he'll have within the first few guests. Because it's like everybody is kind of on the first few, few guests, you know, I mean, because it's like, it's like everybody's kind of on the same consciousness, especially in regards to the hemorrhoid, we've said that conversation that
Starting point is 00:04:10 we just are a lot more up to date on the things he's talking about because we're constantly listening to it, but it's normally current issues, you know what I mean, that are, that are being discussed, so it's not like way off the ball. And it's resonating with millions of people in the US too. So it's it's like a collective consciousness of understanding as well So Joe's getting into the ice baths finally about time he stepped up his game I always wondered why on that end he was not doing it. I'm like dude you that So on a machine. How are you not getting his first ice bath? Was it 50 ice bath like damn Joe?
Starting point is 00:04:50 I don't think I really cool plunge out. I got to imagine ice bath is even colder than cold plunge, no? Wait, yeah, I think it's like 30 something degrees the cold plunges usually like 50 So ice bath is hardcore I think I can still pull it off especially if you're getting out of that sauna whenever you're chilling for 200 degrees I I love that I think there's nothing better for it so funny too growing up you always heard that you weren't supposed to do they go from the cold to the hot like I was supposed to be that's when you got sick, there's like an old one. I know my mom's sick. Like don't go swimming after you. You're like, what?
Starting point is 00:05:28 I don't know about that one's person, but as far as the cold and hot goes, it's like I go completely against that whole thought process. Now, like, isn't it interesting too? I think I think I mentioned this to you, all the people that I know that have gotten the vaccine. I don't want to say all, that's a blanket statement, but a lot of them have all caught COVID now. Well, they're getting that new strain that I got.
Starting point is 00:05:52 Well, I mean, you have to look at it like the vaccine. I don't think was designed to be able to fight all new strains. That would be a little tricky to develop I Know you're not convinced, bro. I see you shaking your head anti-back Yeah, cold plunges people that's what it's all about well Look you can make those at your house though, right? You can just run a bath and pour back our ice in there You can do it at that's the cool thing about it is like a sauna. You can't build at your house Take a bath. I guess nothing relatable to that sure That's not a bad idea to do the ice bath. I still I still been making a conscious effort to take cold showers every day
Starting point is 00:06:43 They do them often as you jutsu. At Cron's, Jamie has a ice tub. I think he does it after the open mats. Yeah, so the jutsu guys like it. Well, you know, after a real heavy roll, especially if you, because he has a big sauna there too. One of those like, I don't know, it's like a 10 person deal that he has set up.
Starting point is 00:07:02 It's pretty good. You guys are in double mass. Why you roll right? Dude this is Montana we give a fuck You talking about this is hot and hot and crunchy folk man You could hit them hit him with a scinda block and then I mean It's like getting to wear oven mitts three masks and two pairs of sunglasses while you drive and hold your hand in the grocery store. Goodness.
Starting point is 00:07:29 So true. You know what I didn't know about Jimmy Dohr is I didn't realize he was such a like political analyst. Like I knew him in comedy, but I was really surprised. It's just like his following. Like I looked into it after the podcast. Like a lot of people go to him for the news. Pretty well versed.
Starting point is 00:07:50 And since he's got quite a few connections. And he has a great voice too. Like no wonder his podcast goes, is it like cadence is really good? Like the way he just speaks period I'm like I you could I could go to that guy for my news. It's pretty long. It's pretty funny jokes. Yeah, did he he I think he is pretty like he does not like Biden period but he's
Starting point is 00:08:21 definitely not a conservative right he just I couldn't 100% top it he did seem like a pretty liberal dude I'm speaking from the point of you of not knowing like his setup at all before this but yeah yeah it was it's almost like it's hard to tell sometimes because it's You knew what he knew on some of this, you know, yeah. It's almost like it's hard to tell sometimes because it's almost like Joe's whole podcast has kind of shifted in the conservative direction, but mainly because he just hates California and the way they did everything in California. So it's like it's easy to assume that's what it is, but I think that's just more one issue. Yeah, I don't know how I would say it's good.
Starting point is 00:09:09 That's a good point because I feel like people are being a little bit more, the way they discuss, like the issues with more transparency, I don't know, they talk about cancel culture so often on the podcast that it almost deflects a little bit, I think. I don't know. At least they re-in the forefront being it. It's definitely on the like, docket of discussion frequently. I think it just hits their world so hard because, you know, they're paid by YouTube often. And being cancelled is like a big deal to a lot of the types of guests that he's going to have on like it really affects their life. You know, it's like we don't ever have to care about that. So to us is just not it's not in our universe in the same way.
Starting point is 00:09:57 So what's anyone going to do? Cancel this podcast like no, it's not going to happen. Never. We don't put anything on YouTube. And so it just makes no difference. But imagine if that was the case. Imagine if any of that ad revenue we got was like half of it was YouTube. Do you think that we would change the way that we speak about that? I mean, do you have another option? It's like, do you want to get paid or not? That's probably what it that's probably when it comes down to I guess your option is keep your integrity and not get paid
Starting point is 00:10:27 That would be your option or what we do which is like don't even bother with that shit at all Like I just rather stay away from it like who even cares like okay more people can hear you But enough people have to tolerate listening to us anyway. Well, they don't have to, but we appreciate you guys anyway. Thanks for to. I wanted to talk more about Jimmy Dore. When you think about like in spirit season stuff like this is obviously an incredibly broad question, but what percentage of them do you think that there has to be some validity to? There's no way none of them are fucking valid and there's no way that they're all valid at the same time But it's I think there has to be a little bit of truth with all of them, right? How would they even start? Right sister what degree and
Starting point is 00:11:16 Exactly it's like to what degree like let's take the moon landing one which Joe loves to talk about if the moon landing one which Joe loves to talk about. If the moon landing, you know, it's like easy to jump on a lot of those parts of the conspiracy, but there is some fuckery with what films they released. But it doesn't actually, if you take a step back, it doesn't have to take anything away from the fact that everybody, like, they all went to the moon. Maybe they just used some footage of testing protocols in like their moon studio they set up. And they were like, ah, this footage is better. It's the 1960s, no one's gonna give a shit. They didn't realize 40 years later people were gonna lose their mind thinking it was fake.
Starting point is 00:12:02 Yeah, I not to say that I know that they're putting myself in their shoes, but I'd be like, people would give a shit. It's not a good move. They fucked up. They did that. They've not. That's an interesting play, especially when it comes to some revolutionary land on a moon type shit. It's not like something. Yeah. And that's the thing with Jimmy is he's like so close to a lot of this information that He really is kind of on the side of like everything is fuck type of energy But I but I think when you get that close to like these News items and these hot topics and and you see what the regular media is releasing
Starting point is 00:12:43 You probably do get pretty fat. I mean, I feel fucking jaded. I don't even know how mad as close as he is. I've only heard him talk. I've only heard the other side talk to me, honest. I feel fucking jaded too. I don't believe anything at this point to you. I got it.
Starting point is 00:13:00 It's hot to know, bro. He definitely didn't like his side effects from the Co-ed vaccine that are like ongoing. I Would like to know more about like I'm always asking people like how they felt and most people seem to feel Thel ok though They felt a bit weird and then it was just like one day But a lot of the people I'm speaking to a younger though. Maybe they just could deal with it. I don't know
Starting point is 00:13:24 I'm so to are younger though, maybe they just could deal with it, I don't know. I am so blown away by the disconnect that this thing has just done the people, I don't understand. The idea that I would ever do anything, just because I don't know, this is not any so interesting to think that it always comes back to some political stance, but it's like no, it just comes down to human logic from my standpoint. For 39 years now I haven't like had anyone tell me you need to do this. So the idea that one year goes by and all that shit's just throwing out the door and now we're just like, uh, we just look to some like overlord type person to tell us like what we do and I'm like no man like I have a backbone Like I'll choose what I want to do. I played your game for long enough And so I
Starting point is 00:14:13 Definitely lean on the side of like what Jimmy Dorses to it's like I think a lot of that's all consul a lot of this Broad thing to say but the vast majority and you said there's a lot of truth to it. There's gotta be like, why else would you get a silence? Everybody all the time, either. And it rarely happens because people have an agenda and have like a reason to speak out a lot of the time. So.
Starting point is 00:14:39 That's probably the biggest reason why conspiracies mostly turn out to be not true is I mean that's probably the fact that you should look at because it's like how could everyone just keep that a secret for so long that seems to be the Achilles heel of any conspiracy theory is eventually we're gonna find out we're gonna find out something nobody thinks that there was no fuckery in the jfk situation like nobody thinks that there's none of these things that are squeaky clean not i mean no no that one is definitely
Starting point is 00:15:15 uh... and they did that you know whoever's involved with that everyone the government america everyone wants to know that they just want to be like yet yep, it was that one guy. It was one guy. So, he got it. So, he got a little spiritual there at the end with the Eckhart tolls. It's talking about Eckhart toll living in the now.
Starting point is 00:15:39 Have you ever read any of those books? They're actually quite good. You know, it's hard to kind of implement that stuff, but I guess it's just mindfulness. It's like what it focuses on. Yeah, my buddy who's a therapist here, he that I've known forever, I mean, that was really that book was like the beginning of his journey to like, want to get into um, kind of like men's group work, get to meet Dan Doty, who's good friends of Rogan and like, ultimately, what brought him the bozeman and then ended up with him being a therapist. I mean, it was kind of like the catalyst to it. So it's powerful stuff.
Starting point is 00:16:37 Yeah, those groups can be good, man. You got to talk about your feelings though. Men talking feelings gets a bit weird in there. He got to be brave You got to be brave. Let's jump over to Greg Fitzsimmons This guy's a legend. I love Greg. He's one of Joe's oldest comedy friends. I think they started at the same time doing stand-up in Austin and Kind of creepy how he opened up with somebody broken to Joe's friend's house in Venice and the cops wouldn't even come out unless they stole something. Now you're in Venice, Greg lives in Venice. What do you fucking make of that care? I don't know. I haven't called the cops for anything.
Starting point is 00:17:25 So I really don't know. But I have heard those similar stories to people out here. That's really disaparting. That's the case. It seems like. Can you just get your bike stolen? Yeah, that was right from the crib, too. I mean, I'm not going to call the cops for a beach
Starting point is 00:17:37 crew that I'd try and do. Any experiences I've ever had with the cops have not been positive for the most part unfortunately. But it's not a big family. I mean, it is what it is. But it's just, yeah, I've taken choose my spots. It's going to have to be some dire, dire streets for me to want to involve the cops.
Starting point is 00:17:59 But anyhow, but just the fact that they were saying it's going to take 45 minutes for the call to get out there You could order a pizza faster than that. Yeah, I don't know what the I don't know what you have to say to the cops Somebody's breaking into my house. I want to believe that a cops on the way immediately that would be hopefully one of the reasons to fucking Trues like if somebody's Messing around my car or something that might be something a little different, but like breaking into my house. I hope that the local police are going to make an effort to come
Starting point is 00:18:33 help you out. Well, but this, this is the, this is that story, right? I mean, it's anecdotal, but like it's basically saying that they won't. You know what's crazy about that area? My old roommate used to work on Abbot Kenny would walk home sometimes late, if she couldn't get a ride or whatever. And there was no concern. She would walk through Venice up to Santa Monica. I was never like, oh, it's three o'clock in the morning. Like I should come get you or it's like that.
Starting point is 00:19:04 It was a safe place. I don't know where this stuff's going on. Like I see stuff from the distance and just trying to keep my shit to myself, but I don't know. I feel comfortable. I just walked on from rows the other night. I mean Saturday night, I walked on a 3 a.m.
Starting point is 00:19:23 So I mean, yeah, you're also 180 now. I did the works out. I get it. But at the same time, it's like, yes, you don't want to be it. I guess you don't. It's much different scenario being a single woman walking through. That could be different. That's true.
Starting point is 00:19:41 Well, it is now. It didn't use to be though. It wasn't ever a concern. Like, would you have ever been worried about one of our female friends? and Yeah, of course you need to be taken. I don't know. I don't know. It's it's a tough one though. I mean they're feeling it, you know, that that's the thing. It's I thought it was interesting that Greg talked about so he wants to get stone with his son, right? He doesn't drink. It does a smokes a bit of weed. A son who's a musician, like wants to get high with him. That story told where he did the edibles, and then they just got silent and went to bed, dude. I've been in, I've done, had that happen so many times. You know where it like takes you to a wee place and like there's such awkwardness.
Starting point is 00:20:37 It's like you could be there with your closest friend who you've known forever, and you can't even make a bad real sentence. You're like, oh, good night gonna like everything's just like that mushroom high on us too. You're like, you're right. Yeah, yeah. Some I don't think doing edibles together is the way for you. Definitely just want to smoke a joint and enjoy the conversation. That's a better way to connect doing too many edibles with
Starting point is 00:21:04 somebody and expecting that to get deep. I mean, that's a wrong way to do more edibles. I would better not do it. Yeah, it's been a minute. I think that's the best and most clean high. I think it's probably the animals I need a partake more than that CBD to Anyhow what's yeah, well we got a new sponsor coming so we get some setup Greg's Greg's what like some he's a writer. Yeah Yeah, he's he's written on shows Yeah, he's definitely written on shows before. It's been an in the comedy game just forever, really. And he's very funny, dude.
Starting point is 00:21:56 He's got a great kind of, just the way all his sets go. He does some excellent improv, too. He's just so likable when he's on stage. He's one of those guys that it just sells. I saw him at the comedy store a few times, performing and he just kinda looks like that, you know, like the older guy you'd see at the bus stop. And I don't mean that, like he looks trashy,
Starting point is 00:22:17 but he looks like an everyday dude. And he kinda sounds like it. His store is just so smooth and casual that it's brilliant to watch someone that's done comedy as long as him just kind of open up. Yeah, it was great hearing how much trouble he used to get into back in the day, like not being clean at colleges. He's funny how these comments hold that you know like he he still fucking hates that Dean that like kicked him out I mean part of it probably
Starting point is 00:22:54 hates him but at the same time makes for a good story like yeah yeah yeah it definitely does that. It definitely does that. He's... And it just really any of those like crazy club owners stories and just knowing what all these comics go through. It's like nobody has a smooth ride with that. Or maybe some people do and they end up just quitting. Maybe it's like the difficult road that makes them who they are. Ressure makes them damn it. It seems, yeah, it's gotta be something close to that. I think they're comedy's where we wanted them. Some of that deep fake shit they were looking at at the end. Did you watch any of the actual videos of that? Like Tom Cruise and they had that kid that like in person he's Tom Cruise for a deep fake.
Starting point is 00:23:49 Dude, it was exactly like it. Where does that end? Like at what point do I mean, how long will it be before there's an app on your phone? You can make yourself look like anyone and just do videos about it. Well, how how can't be long? I found 15. How long can they impersonate you? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:24:11 I was watching these MBA games that have now. And it's like them looks that they have on the player's face. Are the spitting image of the players, it's insane. And that's a video game. What can I do? What does the government have? That's a video game, what can I do? What does the government have? That's a video game. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:24:29 Yeah. I mean, we're heading into a very strange world for sure. I mean, these VR sets alone. Oh, is that the cops now? Somebody must have called them 45 minutes ago. Yeah, it's just moving into a strange world. I mean, the that VR headset that I have every time I use it, I'm just like, they keep doing these updates and changing things and adding these like worlds you look at. And it just blows your mind.
Starting point is 00:25:05 You're like it almost creeps me out to use it. I'm like this shit. Do you get like lots on it? What do you mean lost? Can you just soak on like you just sit on it and be it like in a train like subverse for like five hours or would you have to be like within like an hour? Oh for sure. I mean that meditation app that I have called Trip does it for sure? It takes you to like these like fantastical worlds of like really bizarre shit that you'll look at. The you know you would never see anyone giant mushrooms and gardeners what else and you know and it's like a guided meditation. I mean, the point of that one is to get lost, and it's easy to do. Like, it's, it just is. Like, you're just getting lost. In that, I, I do those for like 45 minutes yeah quite a long time
Starting point is 00:26:06 that's just kind of how those guided meditations work they uh yeah and they're good you don't even realize that that fucking time is over as fast as you can imagine you're just in and out that's it all right who we finishing up with the uh oh Janis pop it's Janice Yeah, what did he say you got shot at the end of the podcast that we're talking about him getting shot or something I kind of dozed off and I think I'd remember that
Starting point is 00:26:37 Well done good professional reviewer right here. Yeah, he was talking about like because they were kind of reflecting on life from what's important and It sounded like he got shot and had this issue. I think he talked about it before on the podcast, but I don't remember and Yeah, he's just like kind of need to find like where is that? like where is that? Yeah, yes, get John to probably do that for you. Well, exactly. I mean, they open up with talking about getting guns. And, you know, the riots that we had last year could come back. That could be a real thing again. It's like, well, you know,
Starting point is 00:27:19 I don't think you need guns for that. They'll just stay away from the stores. You think that would happen again? I would hope that one. I would hope that. think you need guns for that though just stay away from the stores I feel like it happened once it can happen again isn't that how things usually go like to assume they won't just because it happened. Yeah, I don't know. It seemed like, I don't know. Wishful thinking. Maybe. It just seems like we saw that that didn't really work out for anybody. I think we, I mean, I don't know. Maybe it, who knows.
Starting point is 00:27:57 I hope that doesn't come back to be another option though. You're right. It did happen once. People are willing, people are willing to, will come back on and people are willing to, like, just go right back into what we were doing before. I don't know, I feel like there's a lot more pushback now, to be honest. At least not every, it's kind of like a undetermined thing. Like, there's like this mass thing mandate that's like implemented, but like, it kind of
Starting point is 00:28:20 just depends on who you are, whether or not you're doing it, and then it kind of just depends on who you are whether or not you're doing it and then it kind of depends on There isn't so much of a universal like fuck off this I think But I mean isn't that what the riots are as well. I mean, it's not like you push back against that If you've got the energy to push back that like adds to those fucking right things That was that was just total Anarchy and it was like what do you put the end of the day? What are we proving? That's what was so disappointing is that there wasn't really like it wasn't a well thought out situation.
Starting point is 00:28:54 Yeah, they they weren't making a point other than games and shit and wrecking a city wrecking multiple cities. I mean, I sold two of them up up close Santa Monica and the one in Chicago. I was in the one in Chicago That was insane. Yeah, I was right around the outskirts over here too. I don't know it. I feel like we're moving forward I want to believe that I hope that was just a blip in the radar I don't know What was your take on Joe talking about if you could only have two pieces of woodcut equipment, he would have a chetel bell and a chin up bar. Does that
Starting point is 00:29:33 make sense? I think that he's that's probably true that was a pull up to the best thing for you and I mean you can do a lot of stuff for the chin-up bar you can do leg lifts you can do a variety of things and then if you've got a kettlebell you can do I mean if a 50 pound kettlebell swings I mean you can do all kinds of things too you know what I mean yeah yeah gamut of just kettlebell exercises. I'm always kept in the back of my head too, that whole whenever that guy said that the rucking thing, I've always kept that in the back of my head since he ever said that
Starting point is 00:30:15 like humans are designed to carry things like heavy and that's a good in the best shape for carrying them long distances. So it's like you carry a 50 pound kettlebell around with you for a couple hours. Probably you're gonna get in good shape one way or another. Yeah, you know, after that one podcast that when that guy was on, I bought like a way past. And I still haven't used it. What a lazy asshole. It's just in my room. And there's a ton of great hikes and I was so Determined and that's just sat over there. I need to do it
Starting point is 00:30:49 I'm gonna do it this week and I'll report next week I don't know why I'm like after you said I'm being a bitch about the chin-up. So I'm like god I'm definitely I've been doing I grab the 20 pound dumbbells and just go up and down my staircase a hundred times Yeah, it's a good move. It's good. So it's it. It's a good move. Yeah, I need to get the fucking backpack on it. Talking about strenuous workouts and the lifts. What about that Olympic girl that's getting all that shit for?
Starting point is 00:31:15 What is it? Not taking. Yeah, I didn't hear all that back story. It was here. Interesting here. Here in them shed the light on that because that makes a people are given them. There's some UFC go.
Starting point is 00:31:24 I mean, if I don't know how long these kids that that is complaining about the light on that because that makes a people are given them there's some UFC go. I don't know how long these kids that that is complaining about saying that she needs some tough love. I know how long these kids have been on these drugs, but if you start becoming self-reliant on prescription drugs from a young age to not be able to do that while you're in different country like performing on such a big stage has got to be a little nerve racking right. Yeah, well, the problem with like Ridlin or ADHD, I mean, it's basically math. And now you're not taking it, you're going to have withdrawals and that the precision of the type of movement she needs to make. I mean, if her nerves are up or her anxieties
Starting point is 00:32:02 up, she could really seem like Adderall could give you a leg up and that kind of forum too, doesn't it? Like in the Olympics? I guess, yeah, because it does help you concentrate on that. I'm not saying that it would drastically change anything, but it definitely would say if you were asking me, it probably wouldn't give you a leg up. I don't know how that works as far as it being deemed medically necessary. You know what I mean? I don't know how that works as far as it being deemed medically necessary. You know what I mean? I don't know. Yeah. Well, either way, people like...
Starting point is 00:32:34 people have the choice, right? If she doesn't want to perform, like, why does she have to? Oh, I think. But then saying that, I'm not like a massive fan. Yeah, I'm not a fan. I'm not a person. For me, I'm like like a massive fan. Yeah, I'm not. I'm not at all. For me, I'm just a watch it. I think it's cool. I love that nations get involved and do all that. And the athletes get a chance. But I'm not going to get bummed out if someone's like, yeah,
Starting point is 00:32:55 I don't want to do it. Same. I'm not too concerned with the Olympics, especially after all this stuff we've heard about how much conspiracy goes into those things as well, you know Yeah, were they fucking everyone, aren't they? They're not paying any shit and it's not cool, bro Not cool. They kind of ended up this podcast talking about how Baltimore's like legalized a bunch of shit
Starting point is 00:33:24 Like they've legalized all types of drugs and crimes. I think it was Baltimore. Man, I should take better notes. But also, it's dropped a lot of the crime rates. Legalizing all the drugs. Legalizing all the drugs. Yeah, and people are calling the cops less. They're calling 911 less.
Starting point is 00:33:44 There's like... What are your thoughts on that? I've heard, but I could, I could make arguments for both sides. Yeah, I don't know. I mean, I'm just spitballing, obviously, like it's impossible to know as little as I do about how this works and making any sort of educated determination. But I think they will find that if they legalized a lot of different things, there could be a spike early on if people just get in buck wild with it. But eventually, this stigma will be gone, you know, if you can get a hold
Starting point is 00:34:20 of, you know, like just look at it with the marijuana situation in California. You buy something that's like, edible, five milligrams, and you buy the same type of thing every time. It's going to be consistent. You're going to know the dose. It's going to be manageable. I think any drug, if it's like at a manageable dose is gonna be possible to be used and There will always be people abusing it, but I
Starting point is 00:34:50 Don't know I there's just no point putting people in jail for ever. I'm trying to shit. That's just okay I just found out that if everything was legal Molly co-cranc Like was there any incentive? I'm a little bit older now, so I'm not like 22 trying to go do everything and anything. But like, I don't know that I'd have like a desire to be like, oh, it's available. I'm going to grab some heroin. Yeah, I mean, you can go, you do your doctor now and do those ketamine things for stress and it's like you don't see people lined up around the corner because they want to get fucked up
Starting point is 00:35:28 in front of the doctor so it's like oh this is gonna be dope bro let's go it's like what no it's just not happening I don't know that would be an interesting experience yeah I mean it sounds like like a wild experience for sure. I mean maps is talking about doing those psilocybin and MDMA trials and Therapies with people with PTSD with all different types of therapy and they're starting to pull in actual therapists to do this This is gonna be like a national Project soon enough actual therapist to do this. This is going to be like a national projects soon. And at the end of the day,
Starting point is 00:36:07 Hey, if it's good for people, I was great. I was at least trying some stuff like why why not give it a go. I mean, I'm on for it. That's why it's when it comes like political issues to a week. It's like, we've tried something for so long and it hasn't worked. Or just try something else. At least do it for a year and we've done or go then we'll reevaluate that should be kind of the circumstance on everything It seems like all right if it hasn't worked up to this point what are what are other options?
Starting point is 00:36:35 We'll give these some shots and then if they don't work, then we'll try something else Yeah, I mean in a way you have to look at some marijuana has been shown to be good for the economy period, right? So it slows down the trafficking of weed and buying it from like cartels. That's a that definitely a plus Then we get a lot of tax revenue. That's a plus two. We got people using that instead of Medications for pain. So that's better for their health overall, and you're not putting a bunch of people in jail for trafficking weed, which is hugely beneficial. So I would imagine in some ways
Starting point is 00:37:14 that other drugs would do the same. That's why you see, it seems like they know the benefits that they just choose not to a lot of the time, because it's not in their financial interests. Something. It's just old school bullshit, old politicians that need to go away. Very true. That's what I think. It's like, look, the world's changing real fast. And now that you're like an 80 year old president, you're not going to know what's going on.
Starting point is 00:37:42 Like, when you were born, people would drink it in in different fountains like your way out of the loop Let's let's finish up with the Jesse May podcast you're You're not a big fan of Good looking she did she I was trying pretty hard.
