Starting point is 00:00:00 You are listening to the Joe Rogan Experience Review podcast. We find little nuggets treasures, valuable pieces of gold in the Joe Rogan Experience podcast and pass them on to you, perhaps expand a little bit. We are not associated with Joe Rogan in any way. Think of us as the talking dead to Joe's walking dead. Enjoy the show. Podcast. You are listening to the Joe Rogan Experience Review. What a bizarre thing we've created now with your hosts Adam Thorn my either the worst Go draw the show
Starting point is 00:00:35 Hey guys and welcome to another episode of the JRE review thanks as always for tuning in and Listening to the show What's up Garrett? What's up fam? How we doing? Some shit before we started this podcast about my not doing the stairs. Well, I I do recall that I was required or at least said that I would read four books. Here we are September 14th. I just finished my second book. And you haven't even done one day upstairs. So you let the people in your garden and the people down there, but you will sit.
Starting point is 00:01:15 You will at least six days, and I think we're gonna have to do. No, let me write that down. It's just 12 days total, I would have had six. Okay. Yeah, no excuses. Like all of them are just mostly that I it's just bullshit excuses. There's no. Three days, I will say it's a challenge for the books. Like I tried to I it's just a mind shift for me to be because I have so much time
Starting point is 00:01:40 on my hands when it comes to like writing around or getting things done that you can always listen to books as just a matter of choosing to listen to books other than music. What have you been reading? What kind of books? All like listening or how have you been? That the book that I most recently finished was Transcend. It was it's kind of more about self-actualizing. It's interesting that I'd mentioned that to you, and I don't even know if you told me about it, but you had said that that was the first book that you read since you moved to Boseman. I had it in my audible library, and I'm glad I clicked on it because I recommend it highly. I've never rated a book. I gave
Starting point is 00:02:19 it five stars. It was a great book. He draws on a lot of the things that I my mentors I just think that being conscious and I constantly pursuing I don't he breaks it down good because it's like the desire to be enlightened is should be the goal but to everything that you've like arrived at enlightenment like goes into the rain yeah yeah the worst thing is talking to one of those fucking you know peaceful hippies that's like yeah I just stay self-actualized and you're like oh my god it just it hurts my soul like I want to believe it but I'm like come on dude seriously. Hey well I am I'm part I'm one of the self-actualized I'm trying. I'm working on it. I think that's the goal. That's the goal.
Starting point is 00:03:09 That's it's only well the way he describes it as being a better person for yourself, which in turn is a better person showing up for the people in your life. So that's what I'm shooting for. Well, that's a good fuck. Yeah, that's what you are. I know, I know you. Right. You you'd be trying all right. Let's jump on to Tom Segura and Before we get there definitely like you just said let's give a shout out to Norma Donald who passed away. I think yesterday Rest in power what a legend Norma Donald is about What pops into what pops into your head first thing? I just you know, um weekend update on SNL just crushing it dude. No one was better than I was thinking I don't think I I just watch I was just watching turd
Starting point is 00:04:04 That's not my name. Yeah, okay, dude. Fergus. Yeah, he like takes a shit No, seriously, I came into my mind. I know so like no, no, that was a different it wasn't that Jack the Jeppers and He was like being interviewed on some show in that and he like Comes he goes I gotta take his shit comes back grabs the newspaper off the table. He was amazing. It was so funny. Dude him and dirty him and dirty work with Dave. I don't know if you saw that movie. Yeah, that's great movie and happy happy Gilmour pops in the head. He isn't happy. Go more. I think
Starting point is 00:04:46 that dirty work was his thing. He did that. What? Who's the the coke guy that gave that all a while ago? Fuck what's his name? Shit, I have to google that. But that movie was funny as how okay yeah already already someone already lang yeah already lang yeah art yeah they were both in that I mean but you even watch his stand-up some of his jokes like if you guys are in the stand-up you have to watch his show on I think it was Letterman's last late night show yeah so normally been on a bunch and he comes on and he does the thing on Germany and like it's fucking brilliant it's some of the best stand-up ever yeah so good god bless crazy I know I I know it's I know it's good on my feed when I see that like everyone. Yeah, everyone's doing it. I like those days, man
Starting point is 00:05:50 Those that's great respect. You know, I mean, and yeah, today I was seeing that more like as the day went on It was definitely more of his right All right, so Joe got COVID you You think of Joe got over COVID, but CNN said some shit that I thought was quite funny, even though it is bullshit, man, like, come on. I find it hilarious. At this point, I just find that's how you have to look at it. If 2020 taught us anything, let's just start laughing at the bullshit, not even entertain it.
Starting point is 00:06:23 Like why even, why even, even like what are we doing? Like let's just like acknowledge that somebody said them. Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's go to a course. They were more like you know, bro, like what are you trying? Okay, fine. You know what he's fucking that's why I like those memes that were like, did you see the one that was Connor McGregor walking, but it was Joe's face on that and it was like how you walk when you beat like, do you see the one that was Conor McGregor walking? But it was Joe's face on that. And it was like, how you walk when you beat, like everyone says you took
Starting point is 00:06:49 what horse the worm and then, you know, you're fucking healthy in three days. It was so it's so weird how every situation is so goddamn divided. It's like, you have to, I was watching somebody's post and granted, this is some Yahoo, but he's like Joe Rogan throws the chicken kitchen sink at COVID. First of all, why would you not try to do it? He has the resource. Why would you not? What the fuck you talking about? Secondly, he's like winning an actuality. He could have just taken the vaccine and that probably what a... and I'm like, dude, first of of all what soapbox do you fucking ride on that you get to dictate other people's lives or have any input on anything else
Starting point is 00:07:31 That anybody else should be do it. Well, here's the People that have the vaccine are also getting sick Just maybe maybe not the same way exactly which is what it sounds like like they have more immunity But there's a different strain. So you get sick anyway. So it's like, what do you do once you get sick? I think, regardless of whether you had the vaccine or not. And it sounds like he probably did the right things.
Starting point is 00:07:55 Right? Correct. And it seems, isn't it interesting? I don't know the narrative of the people that, in this is no disrespect, I think vaccines are good. I think everybody has the right to make their own decision. Isn't it interesting out of the people that I ask that got the vaccine? How many of them were like, oh, the side effects were terrible. Like, at least, at least, I want to say at least 50% if not more, but I don't, I'd rather undercut it than not. But there has been a couple of people
Starting point is 00:08:25 that I've been like, I was fine, nothing dealt. And it's always like, there was two days of downtime. I'm talking to my brother, I'm like, I haven't been sick, knock on wood, and respect anybody that is sick or has gotten sick. I haven't been sick the whole time. And there's a reason for it. It's because I've been going outside,
Starting point is 00:08:44 I've been living my life, I've been continuing on the path that I was already on. So it's like the preemptive stuff, like stuff, it's the vaccine is not gonna save you as my point. That's what you're thinking. It's my perspective. It's gonna help. No, the people.
Starting point is 00:09:01 Maybe not get COVID, right? It's like immunity. like immunity with the vaccine like I think that they're saying that natural immunity is better but vaccine immunity is pretty fucking good and that's what they're saying don't shake your head of me well I'm not saying I'm not saying you're wrong, but like, was there, I'm not a scientist, but whenever you got the flu vaccine, you got that, so you didn't get the flu, right? How is it now that you get the COVID vaccine? Yeah, but like, true, but like maybe seems like
Starting point is 00:09:38 if people are guessing it, like, you don't have as bad a response to it if you've had the vaccine. So it's better. Okay. You know, depending on where you're comal bit. I have a lot of people have those. Yeah, but you can't just okay. So you don't maybe have many, right? But some, a lot of people do. Right. Right. I had, I mean, I had to hope open heart surgery when I was 18 months old You could come up with a variety of narratives for that could make me vulnerable or make you vulnerable Make anybody vulnerable. What are you doing to take care of yourself now? In order to build up your immunity in order to live a healthy lifestyle
Starting point is 00:10:22 What are you doing now? You've had a year. Yeah, but what like, I mean, people, I like how many friends do we have that just, you know, they didn't take this time to like change those things. Like this was a crazy time, I get it. But yeah, it's a problem. Okay, so then what would you say to them?
Starting point is 00:10:39 They have started on this. They should definitely get, well, but it was like, start today, start, start now. They should definitely get well, but start today start get it start now I'm not gonna you do whatever you are I am with that too. I don't want to make it a lot I don't think that there should be a passport, but I don't have any like I don't have any input like I want what's best for you and if you think they're getting the vaccine I I'm not really a liberty and I don't think any of us are at this point. We still going to need a bigger sample size and a little bit
Starting point is 00:11:07 of like research and science moving forward for you to say it was the right thing or the wrong thing to do. But I'm not going to tell you one way or the other. Like whatever you think that you get your bag of bones. I'm telling you man. Like I don't know. Personally, if I have a friend that I know is man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm to me. I mean, if you don't if you don't get it like I'm not I've never once said to you You should get it right have a No, but you don't have it any co-morbidities. I Just don't I just don't like the idea of going to the doctor and I'm sticking a needle in my arm I'm afraid of it, but like why go out of my way?
Starting point is 00:12:04 is that like to go get a vaccine? I'm saying to go get a shot. Like it just seems like I rarely even like to go to the grocery store. Like why would I go get a shot? Like pass me put a shot in my arms. If it was something that would kill you. Let's say that this was like 10 times worse than this. And the vaccine was showing their like, like kill a lot of people with no comorbidities, then I would say to you, dude, fucking go to the doctor and get this. But that science is going to take time to even get that science. That's, that's, unless people just like start falling off like cockroaches, like raid or something, but that's not the situation. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:12:45 That's not the situation. And you're only gonna be able to understand that given time, like time's gonna be the only thing that can dictate. What do you think of CNN like doing that to Joe though? What do you think of that? Dude, it's... Also, he told me.
Starting point is 00:12:59 I thought... Now it just seems like it should be expected now that that's the that's the narrative It's like you have to choose a side and you have to choose How you feel about one thing or the other? I do I do want it. I want I want to get to the story about This mass thing seems like a day-to-day situation too like I don't know if you guys are dealing with it in bozman, but out here it's still a thing. That's a good piss.
Starting point is 00:13:28 Anyhow, I don't know man, do you guys have that out there? No. Wow. I don't think you guys are dealing with the mass thing. I want to jump into the situation that kind of... Opposement is not really dealing with it. Montana, when I went to New Mexico this weekend on a deer hunt, and they are, like they still have it in a lot of places.
Starting point is 00:13:58 Supposedly from what my friends are saying there, that their ICUs are filling up, but, you know, I don't know. I didn't see it, but I believe it. I would imagine that they're not just putting this, you know, mass mandate back in in an area where it's not a problem. So I'm inclined to believe that. Well, I'm sure we'll get to, we'll get to Weinstein. But once we get there, that's what Joe talks about. Like the fact that that he was he had his show and then he was drinking a lot, right? Before so he kind of even though he's healthy
Starting point is 00:14:33 He kind of wars immune system down state of light drank a lot, you know a couple of days That makes sense like that's gonna create an open spot 100% and what I like about it is he ended it with, you know what, I'm thinking that I should do that a little bit less because that was the opening for this. Well, maybe to get in, get him. Yeah, absolutely. That's the thing about COVID-2. Like, I've had some bad hangover. So, I'm going to draw this one thing and it was that? Was that a bad hangover? But I usually eradicated within the first day. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:15:09 I'm in the service industry. I'm around thousands of people most tourist all the time. I don't know the right answer. But it's an interesting thing when you see people coming together as a community. It's like, we got vaccinated. It seems like so California at this point, I hate to say that, but it's like, what are we doing?
Starting point is 00:15:30 Like what narrative are you trying to agree with? Is it gonna give you an extra cup of coffee and someone's like, ooh, that guy is, like I don't understand, like what are you to gain by being naive or just silly? Well, it seems like silly. I mean, they were talking around the pod, like Billionaires go into space,
Starting point is 00:15:50 what the fuck are they up to? You got social justice warrior professors setting fires in California. And it's like calm on. Somebody just said, so my boy were just driving home and he's like, what happened to BLM? And I was like, this has been a whirlwind of a fucking year
Starting point is 00:16:07 It's an interesting thing how there was like just these right. I mean, I don't say random, but just like Different sources of energy coming from all angles It was like you're trying to sift through the Fentional and like all our drugs. Maybe just like what happened to the day when we we get drugs and they didn't have fence and I like come on Come on cut it with what do we do rap poison this all right like a gentleman Yeah, at least Fentany now they like oh now you're dead. Wait. Can you leave that out please? And the thing about that hurt that too that was an unfortunate situation, but the horse to warmer,
Starting point is 00:16:48 like if you told me that rat poison would save me from COVID, I would consider taking rat poison. What what if they said like it doesn't matter what the ass and it guaranteed care, but you got to wear it in there every day. We do that. I've already got two care. I'm going to take care of the code. You already know.
Starting point is 00:17:14 I got ahead of my game. I mean, I'm with you, right? Like if someone said that something extreme would really help, like go do it. But in the same way, they're saying that at least can. Potentially. help like go do it. But in the same way, they're saying that at least can potentially. And here's the deal, the amount of resources that Joe has. It's like, you think he's just make, I mean, if you have any introspect to anything that he's ever done, he's trying to do what makes the most sense from the smartest people. You think you
Starting point is 00:17:38 just go on a whim. It's just like an interesting thing to write in a newspaper or like a clickbait kind of fucking article. It's just like an interesting thing to write in a newspaper or like a clickbait kind of fucking article It's like is that where like that's where it's gone like what's this? I guarantee you there's people at those firms that are like how do we spend this like you've seen fucking Movies where that's what they do in the newspaper office. It's like all right. How do we spend this? It's constant propaganda. It's constant clickbait shit. It's constant How do we get people's eyes to look at this? It's not anything that does facts or does anybody? I think it just comes down to like people want to get annoyed. They want a reason to like
Starting point is 00:18:14 dislike someone that's real popular and that's where it comes down with him, right? Kind of. I mean, look, Tom talks about it on there. They went to that tactical shooting place there Yeah, and they're unfollowing him and like read like saying shitty comments and you just like he's he's just going to shoot guns Like he's not shooting people. I want to know he's not even hunting. He's just going there shooting gun. That's fun It's super fun. He's like it's fun. I'm it's fun. And I'm learning. Yeah Speaking of it's funny. You made reference to this Venice situation about like cops not showing up. It's like We're gonna have to adjust the gun laws here in California to be able to protect yourself because they're I heard that the sheriff there is like giving out
Starting point is 00:19:03 Concealed carry they, they like laugh at us. That's what I've heard. And I mean, we're done. I mean, right here in our Washington, do we have these situations with the unhoused? They can only unhoused. The correct. Yeah, that's a sensitive.
Starting point is 00:19:18 Yeah, it's rude to call them. Anyway, they're having issues. Some guy got stabbed or something he's literal words that came out of a police officer's mouth was this is LA man we don't deal with that you heard this what I mean from I don't want to say directly out of that mouth but as far as like we called the cops and they were like haha kind of almost like arrogantlyly, like, it's like, okay, I guess 10 from myself at this point,
Starting point is 00:19:48 like, they're not gonna show up for the, I think Joe may mention of it too, like they don't show up for fucking things that are less than $900 and goods or something like that now. So it's like, you're almost on a tag. That's weird. The first part of that conversation was like they they took a $1,100 with the stuff Yeah
Starting point is 00:20:14 For some reason I don't think the content. Oh, I'm hobbit in my cruiser. That's so scary though I mean that guy just don't know what's nice man. It used to be when I live though What what what what mode? I? Don't feel I mean all to respect No, no place man, it used to be when I live there. Oh, it would feel like a dangerous place. What mode? I don't feel, I mean, I'll do respect that. But there's a change in your more capable potential than some other people. Little old lady, like that's not fair for you to say that
Starting point is 00:20:39 and be like, it's still safe because like a little old lady would struggle, right? Who's gonna come over and help her without a she gonna call you? Right into the podcast and be like, hey guys, you just come over on Wednesdays to get scary. I mean whenever those people were, I mean I think back to about almost it's probably close to a year ago now when people were like walking up and down protesting down the streets. And I had the two little little things that I've had in my complex come over to my house going out and people were like walking up and down protesting down the streets. And I had the two little things that I'm in my complex come over to my house because I was like, we don't know what's going to happen. So we just sat.
Starting point is 00:21:11 Dude, look, I'm a person together. Liberal person. Right. So I do some things like my hunting, I guess you could say is not. But I'm an English. Right. So there's a lot of things like healthcare, I'm all for like a socialized version of that. Like I want to help the community like I I don't want people to struggle you know there should be social services for them like I'm all about it but one thing I have always loved about the US when I moved here I love the
Starting point is 00:21:43 fact of the idea that the law supports you when you defend yourself at your house. Not that it comes up very often but it's a nice fucking feeling to know that the law is on your side like someone breaks in. Well that's not the same. No, it's not the same. If someone broke in you couldn't kill him. No way you go to jail for that They could come in your house and start smashing everything and attacking you My nishin mine hit them with a my initials on the head and killed them You're probably gonna go to jail. I'm pretty sure
Starting point is 00:22:18 It's not yeah, they don't protect you like that over there I mean I would my I don't want to do it either. I don't want you like that over there. I mean, I would mind. Well, I don't want to do it either. I don't want to kill anyone that comes in, but. I'm sure you, but if you come, threaten in my house, you won't even have a gun in when they won't give you that. You can have guns. You know what?
Starting point is 00:22:41 I'm pretty sure of bow and arrows illegal that too. But, you know, I like that. I like the fact that you, in America, like you have that kind of opportunity. And he, it seems like in some ways that's going away. Yeah, it's interesting. But it's weird that we draw these lines in the sand too, like to have Texas and to have Arizona and to have them Mexico and all these places like right around California, but for some reason California is close to the ocean. So we're just going to have completely different thought process.
Starting point is 00:23:18 Yeah, completely different deals real real quick going through and around and watch the sound levels while you go into the freezer to get a, you can see there. All right, you're not getting caught. What did you think about the French, they talked about the French chick in the mall, did you watch that video? Oh, yeah, she was like getting beaten for not having the vaccine. I don't know the whole story,
Starting point is 00:23:42 but you watch it and you're like, what is going on? Yeah That's just a woman doing something about like eight cops and right here like smacking up Are you think I this my thought like that? I was thinking about the war to it's like as a soldier you Want necessarily think about? But still let's know You're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you're doing it, you can trust the here, people fold out was like a reasonable response. It doesn't seem like it should be. Speaking of last week, I was at my brother's gym, but just gotten done doing cardio and
Starting point is 00:24:40 me and my grower in there and I think just a couple other people were in there. me and my grower in there and I think just a couple other people were in there. Manager comes in and looks at me and says, sir, you need to be wearing a mask. I can tell you point blank that I immediately started laughing, like out loud laughing. I couldn't help myself. I was like, ah, like it was sarcastic laughter, but at the same time it was dry. I couldn't hold it back. I was like, ah, like it was sarcastic laughter, but at the same time it was dry and I couldn't hold it back. I'm soaked in sweat, I just did eight miles, reached over, grabbed my backpack, put my bandana, trusty bandana on my sweaty ass face and I go, okay, she leaves, pull it down as we always do, as everybody in the gym does because you're basically waterboarding yourself if you don't
Starting point is 00:25:27 She comes back in with the security guard She said sir What's what's your address and I just looked at her and I said what's your name? She said for what is leave her name out of them, but she said I'm so and so and I said Okay mind you the security guards said so and so and I said okay? Mind you the security guards right next to her and he goes do you really want me to call the cops? And she goes not if he leaves the premises and I go don't worry sweetheart I'm leaving take they just want to get a call the cops on you for not wearing your mask
Starting point is 00:26:00 Does security guard the security guard was like blown away? He's like, am I really about to do this? Oh, so he wasn't being really aggressive with my eyes. He just being defensive and like, no, I'm no, well, he's no, he just saw me. I looked him dead in the eye just to my like a human to human. Like, would you really call the cops? Like go right I got this straight. They won't come to your house if less than $900 is taken but they will come and arrest you for no while it's science but in exact Jim. I don't think they would have arrested me and
Starting point is 00:26:37 even if the cops were to show up I can't imagine they'd be like what are we doing like they're humans. They got to be like what are you going to do? No, go back there. I was there today. Fuck that girl. But you know what? Also, she's doing. I've been down around my neck. It's like, I don't know if she took a stand. And that is correct. She's got to do that. But here's the deal. What is fuck? Here's my approach. Here's my approach.
Starting point is 00:27:01 If I, if I was her, sir, I understand that I You don't have to say all this like hey, I know it so they can just throw a mask on it's gonna make everybody happy Oh, so it's an attitude right in your she out of teeth thing It was a fucking blatant attitude and I'm like bro You can go ahead and suck on that later because I don't have any time for that shit And if you want to approach me as a human being and say hey, I know this doesn't make a ton of sense mind you And if you want to approach me as a human being and say, Hey, I know this doesn't make a ton of sense. Mind you, everyone in the gym today, ten of us,
Starting point is 00:27:27 not one person wearing a mask. There was a girl that walked in wearing a mask. And then I think she looks around. And then within five minutes, I'm thinking to myself, I'm like, now I'm the asshole. Should I be wearing a mask? And she is, because that's what goes through my head. She takes the mask off, puts it on her arm,
Starting point is 00:27:43 and just starts going to work at the fucking gym. Just like a 100% out of 100% of people that are there doing that know that they're going, I don't know how to describe it, but it's just the, in the whole idea about wearing a mask when you go out, this is where the line in the sand's been drawn for me in California.
Starting point is 00:28:00 It's like, if you're willing to go out, you're willing to not wear the mask. That's all there is to it You're not gonna be some social fucking justice warrior trying to tell me some bullshit. That's not science as you as you sit down and pull your Mass down while you have a drink of your glass of wine like that to shit. I did not hope this is not reason Hope this could be a thing. We don't have to talk about anymore, right? Like it say really 100% got to be exhaust. I just want there to be fucking.
Starting point is 00:28:29 I want there to be a month where you're just like, what if in a month, nobody will ever retract because it's like a safety thing, but it's like nobody's ever going to retract and say to the mass and never did anything. But the circle that I run in and the and the stuff that we input into our lives and the things that we listen to, all those people are preaching to that narrative. There's going to be a point in time where it's like these are not doing anything. Right. What the fuck are we doing? Sorry, sorry, you're an asshole for a year. Yeah. No, let's go over to what's his name C. K. Chen, the restaurant owner. He, uh, I'm surprised that during his podcast he didn't get upset about
Starting point is 00:29:07 COVID stuff because imagine like you know that that affected his business like a lot but on it all on all yeah he's like a pretty fucking I like that guy a lot dude he's awesome he's up I love the way he described food to like the community aspect. Right. I like that I feel like the wooden happy really interesting if you did that with like a regular steak restaurant It's like somebody wants the tea bone, but then somebody wants the fillet and instead of it just being like we eat our own meals And we make all meals. Yes communal We make all meals communal Community that's the best I like that. That's what I always like I'm the guy I'm the guy who goes out and be like hey, you want to get this?
Starting point is 00:29:52 We'll split it like I like to do that on dates when you know You like pick something and they're like I was gonna get that too, and I'm like well Why don't you get something you want and we just split it because you know, I get greedy And I want to eat my thing plus whatever they have and then I'm gonna eat as much but it's also kind of nice yeah I'll throw you I'll throw you yeah I'll throw you a bite but no I agree I think that the shocking news that general sour chicken is not a Chinese is not like what It blows my mind. That's what number one that's number two. I'm like you tell me general Sal is not as bad as we thought
Starting point is 00:30:38 I'm over come on I appreciate the general I do not send food bro get out of a texture nobody needs peanuts. I'm a texture I'm like crunchy and the best stuff. That's why I love some I like some tortillas on top of a soup I like a lot of different textures. I it's not very fine palette, but I do enjoy texture You're not selling me on that. I don't I mean I'll eat it somehow Thorne fucking keep your Yeah, I have British I come from British food, bro. Like take it easy. They did talk about fish and chips though Shout out to English all one good meal
Starting point is 00:31:17 Yeah, we got a few but that's definitely Shep is pie is good. Oh, nice. Relax. I mean, we actually have good pies. You know, you have to be a pie person. We love our pies. I'll tell you what's really good though is we do a lot of Sunday roast.
Starting point is 00:31:39 So on Sundays, it's basically like your Thanksgiving meal almost. Like it's a proper roast roast potatoes. We got like the turkey there or some beef gravy. We got mint sauce. Oh That's rather and then we and then whatever's left over we just We like to recycle a lot of our food. Yes. Yeah Whatever's left over we just I didn't know that of our food, yes. Yeah, we've a lot of recycled food. Whatever's left over, we just toss it. I didn't know that Buffalo sauce which is Frank's red hot sauce with butter.
Starting point is 00:32:12 Did you know that? I've had a funny, I've had a funny answer. Yeah, right. It's almost like if you, if you ever took a step back and had to think about what's in it, you're like, actually, that probably is just that. And it was so funny. I'm talking about like ranch, like I eat wings.
Starting point is 00:32:29 It's like that is so American. It's like, why would you ever put that together but the cooling aspect? Dude, I remember looking back on nights, like my Friday night back in the day was like a good suns game. We were in pizza and we were like, so I was growing up and fucking,
Starting point is 00:32:44 and then fucking watching my favorite basketball players play and then just smash pizza and wings and then go shoot shots. Zero. Zero. Whatever. Dude, Ezreal is such a classic game. That's a big one. I have a friend that still has and watch 9G and that console and we play it sometimes
Starting point is 00:33:03 when I get a Ohio. Yeah. What is Jay? Has it? We love to have that one. Watch that and that console and we play it sometimes when I get a Ohio. Yeah We love that one that one but shout out to chickens that are right because at the end of the day Even though they're like a little goofy creature. It's not like eating a big steak You like all this came from a strong animal like chickens are just you can kick him across the street like that tiny But they they have to be the in a way the best creature Like they're the easiest to What's the word not domesticate but like?
Starting point is 00:33:37 Farm yeah kind of that like you just need a little pen you know that big they can eat some whatever seeds They make eggs. Eggs is like the best food. Joey's always. Cause it's like a, they're gonna be still in a good place. Yeah, you're gonna have to kill them, right? Just keep getting,
Starting point is 00:33:54 like a kind of meat product from them. You're just eating a cucumber. Yeah, delicious. And then when you want to eat the chicken, and then they're talking about the wing shortage. So now it's thighs. There's another bit. We run out of one bit, we eat the rest. Like there's a lot of that creature. We're chameleon. What do you think about chicken feet? Have you ever had that. I'm sure you're not never sure how to feed.
Starting point is 00:34:26 So they look gross. Yeah, I had them recently at some a little little little. Yeah, so I the reason they had it. And it was like, there was nothing on it. It was not even any meat. I was not sold. I thought I would try it, but there was nothing going on.
Starting point is 00:34:41 I can do. It doesn't look like it doesn't want to go. No, it's do it. It doesn't look like it doesn't look like a hard game. No, it's actually a lot of things to get anywhere. Right. Well, he talks about each bird only having two wings to this. So you're like, fuck, that's a lot of birds. No, I'm saying five birds.
Starting point is 00:34:56 Yeah. We should genetically engineer him to have more wings. Eight wings per bird. True. What if they said that about it? What if they said that about us? Let's jump over to the Brett Warrensteinstein and what's the name? I thought she was really good.
Starting point is 00:35:13 Hold on. I'm pulling it up. Oh, she was amazing. For anybody that didn't get an opportunity to listen to this one, I would say that this is a very, very good podcast that you may want to listen to. Yeah, yeah. Extento because there was a lot of information that cleared up a lot of situations for me that I was kind of struggling with even. It was both from that. She's she's amazing.
Starting point is 00:35:46 Um, the what was that college called? Fuck, evergreen. I think it was. Yeah, yeah, I think it was the evergreen controversy. They got. I can't. Yeah, they got pushed out.
Starting point is 00:36:03 I think they sued the school. They got a lot of money and then they started their podcast and that's just kind of how they do things. But you know, they're good speakers like they're very small people. Yeah, Joe, Joe was, Joe, and Joe goes, you guys should start a podcast. How long ago? And he's like, all right, and they started it. That's the year ago. This is how long ago and he's like all right and they started it less than a year ago this is I don't want to say Derry and COVID because he's like we need to hear what you guys have to say and their podcast the dark or massive yeah crushing it even though Joe said don't name it that they're like right yeah right he's like yeah he's not saying he's always right nobody made sense he's like he's not saying he's always right. Nobody made sense. He's like I wanted to be in the bread. Why is that because if you're looking something like everything he's doing is from like I'm trying to help out. Yeah it's kind of rational
Starting point is 00:36:55 right. I can just feel like the Joe Rogan explains. Right. I know his name. I want you to be successful like he's on that's the best thing like this whole idea Well imagine if we called this podcast like something that was like Adam and Garrett talk about some other guys podcasts like no one even know that we had a show That talks about Joe Rogan like you have to think of your name and we're great We're grateful for that. We're grateful for that. It's, yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:31 I'm so happy that did you hear the way that something that resonated with me was what was the word? A downplay on Anthony Fauci is a downplay on stuff. So fucking annoying. Come on bro go fuck yourself if you ever said that to me in any setting of anything like that be like a downplay of knowledge yeah yeah play of Rodney has I'd be like go imagine advice started talking to you are you are like like we know each other so long and I'm like where do you
Starting point is 00:38:02 if you talk bad about Adam, then you would immediately hit him. Dude, like the thought process? Oh my God, can you imagine having any person around you, not to mention the amount of power, that's like the epitome of power, hitting your fucking mind and me and like, the power of Anthony Fauci, I'm like bro,
Starting point is 00:38:24 you and Gavin Newsom and all these other motherfuckers Need to get on a boat and fucking go to me. I think he's gonna lose. I doesn't look like he is It's an interesting thing. I wanted to comment on that too the Monday night game or the Sunday night game There was so many commercials. I'm thinking how like at least five, and I'm downplaying again, at least five that said recall governor Newsom, how much money was spent on an NFL broadcast for those commercials and where the fuck did that money come from? And where could that have been spent? And if he's not recall what was the point of that money? Well, at least they'm trying I don't like him. What do we do? You know, I heard the alternative is not all that much better
Starting point is 00:39:12 It can't be everybody's driven by money. It's all it is Obamas on the commercial Obama that like we like to give Obama some credit, but watching Obama Fucking just be in their pockets, too. It's just oh he's supporting No Gavin like we're oh Yeah, he's like he's like you got he's just support. It's just support the track That's what it come like we've talked about it. It's like that's what it comes down to well Then I mean it's easy for the job not like him because like so happened at the state But if we don't have a better alternative then I don't know if that's a good move.
Starting point is 00:39:49 It just seems like we're trying to appease different crowds at the same time. I don't know what the right answer is but like there needs to be a there needs to be a committee of people that are coming from a variety of angles. Like represent a bunch. What do you think about their talk? Gavin that's a Jorther Like how kids are like teeth are getting fucked up because they're not like chewing hard things Right, well, that's the thing too. I did now. How are they not like don't good food get softer? I don't get it well, he was well, he was well, he was talking about the race game right? Like what if you I can't remember the exact detail but it was like the fact
Starting point is 00:40:30 that we can acknowledge that we probably don't need braces and kids can move through this and we'll get their teeth. Yeah they got to eat hard things, chew on cut off stuff. That's going to cut it. That's going to cut out a whole mark. Honestly I have to cut out and I'm'm gonna say it on this and I have friends at a dentist So they're gonna get upset, but I don't I don't Go often every time I've gone Recently that like we need to pull out this one tooth and I'm like it doesn't hurt and they're like yeah But it looks like it's gonna crack and some other things. I'm like I don't want a tooth missing
Starting point is 00:41:06 Like my teeth are fine and I get it their profession Just me it makes sense because if they're if they're in cahoots with they're in cahoots with I'm trying to sell some new teeth. I got to be honest too. Like my one vanity thing I made mention this to my girl. I like by where to do one thing. I would like to give them years because I've had crooked teeth my whole life. But like if it came at a cost of like my peace or happiness based on pain and suffering. I don't think that I would probably, I'm almost 40 now. I'm kind of a strange profession in the sense of like they're like doctors, but they only do teeth.
Starting point is 00:41:56 You know what I mean? Like a doctor does all their things. Think about how other doctors specialize, like they do feet or whatever you're back and brain surgery. Have you had your a two-faced? The worst they're very important I'm not saying don't I have them? I was gonna say a two-thake or a fucking staff infection are the two Two-thake is fucking nightmare two--thake is like unbearable. But you know, don't push me.
Starting point is 00:42:26 That's why when I hear people move my teeth, if I don't need to. Like how about figuring out a way to save it? Well, my way was just stopped going to the dead end. I know how to brush my teeth. They're like, you need to clean it. I was like, I know how to clean my teeth. I can brush my teeth.
Starting point is 00:42:43 I use those little flossers, scrape on there. Get in there. Get in there. Talking about the, the nonsense with being outside and like what we experienced in California. And I, and I think that, you know, this is where Joe's frustration comes on. So does ours. Other places didn't experience this. Like I know when I was talking to people in New Mexico when I was down the hunt on the weekend they want they were like look that was just how California did it not everywhere did it like that I'm like okay I get it but like this is what they filled in the fucking skate park bro with sand how much does that cost yeah how mentally Yeah How mentally fucking yeah, I know
Starting point is 00:43:26 Rewinded is that like what are you what are you doing? Like you've really just taken it to like a full like we're in charge out here seems like like Understand how powerful we are and now sand is in your scope. If they do they sound out yet or no Do they sound out yet or no? Oh, 100% and they had the fucking, they took, they put like two by fours, I don't know the dimensions of wood over the basketball hoop so I couldn't shoot. I'm like, we out song. There's never been a thought process in my life where I'm like, how could that make sense? Who did you pay to do that?
Starting point is 00:44:04 How much was that to have somebody do that and now have somebody defend it? That's the big part of the expense. He's like, you couldn't just go there then and like hang out in the basketball hoop area because they be like, you can't be here. Oh, I did every day. Oh, they, so no, I did every day.
Starting point is 00:44:22 I rode up and down. Stopping here. Oh, they turned mouth off, but it's like, what are you gonna do? I it's it's it that's the thing about the mass thing to it seems like everything is so day to day or what you've read or what you like what conversation you had last night or what story you had. It's like just be conscious of your life. Well, I mean, look, stop letting you with something the way they were like, for sure, being outside within 10 feet of someone could get a second, you could die. We're not saying that that wouldn't be a
Starting point is 00:44:55 small moat. Like, obviously, we're not going to do it either. But, but like, give us a reason. Yeah, there was no science. Like, it didn't make sense to do that. And the fact that Joe just beat it in three days I'm pretty sure everybody says they've had it for three days I remember coming back from Mexico my girl was like remember those three days I took care of you I was like not really but she said she did in either way I believe her right oh you are COVID I haven't dictated on my I probably I've had fucking everything probably. Give it all to me. Do you're worst? I'm here to beat it. Definitely, Climidio. I'm not going to live in fear anymore. Like if this year
Starting point is 00:45:37 has taught me anything, I'm not living in fear and I'm not going to subscribe to anything that's not always moving forward because it seems to live in the past or like read shit that's not always moving forward because it seems to live in the past or like read shit that's only setting you back is never ever gonna serve you. I just don't get it. It seems bad for your body. It seems bad for your mental makeup. It seems bad for the relationships. It seems bad to end to be honest with you. It seems bad to be one way or another about anything. It's like neutral. that doesn't necessarily always work, but like gravitate towards the stuff that's been working. And that's just a focus.
Starting point is 00:46:12 What did you think about when Brett brought up Neuralink? And he was like, it's too complicated. It won't work like that. You're not going to be able to like, and then Joe made the example of that language with emojis Any reach in yeah, and he took it back and I think that's that's a really important Thing about Brett that you have to admire because like he look He's a guy that comes in with a lot of knowledge and you're like is this guy and know it all right We've all talked to them like the type of people that never take and that was was James like take a step back they have to have the right answer all the time I think this that example really shows that he's always willing to re-assess where he's at like
Starting point is 00:46:55 he apologized and took that step back immediately he was like oh shit maybe this is the one I yeah I thought that was awesome I was like an. He had a moment there where he's like that makes and it was that was Jamie saying that. Yeah yeah yeah. Getting them. Yeah. But it made it made so much sense like shout out like fucking literally like that. Like when he said that it's like I again it comes back to that thought I don't want to be right. I just want to know what makes the most sense. I don't want to be right. I just want to have the right answer. Like that's a cool thing.
Starting point is 00:47:32 We could all take a step. Or at least be shoot. At least be shoot. Like let's shoot for that. As long as you're shooting for that, then you're shooting for the fucking right thing. Like, let's not get the kind of ended the conversation where like Joe talking about how much he works and and when he got COVID he took took some time.
Starting point is 00:47:54 Get gave him an opportunity to say three days. He's like living in multiple lives with like his output and look we like Goggins we like Jocco like Cameron Haynes. We like these guys that push hard like Joe inspires us to do that like with his hard work, but there's also that Like look if you're lazy Yeah, don't be taking another day off But also if you're fucking hammering all the time like it's a good balance to like slow down takes that time What do you set what he flacked and chill the fuck out? He's he said he said he said it's a good balance to like slow down takes that time when he said when he flacked and chill the fuck out
Starting point is 00:48:27 He said he said he said it was a forced time to take a few days off. I was like man It's I know I don't think he probably does that very often. It's a good thing sick. Is it good? No, but it's like on like It's it where you're at health wise It's a your your body is, hey, we've been working. Yeah, we get to can we can we slow down for a second? And I think that what he made reference to to us for I mean, dude, he's fucking partying with the coolest cats all the time with the best booze, the best everything. And he's still keeping it together because he cares about his family.
Starting point is 00:49:04 Yeah, it's all it. I mean, he went home and isolated like every time, you know, instead of being like, oh, I'm fine. I won't get you sick like. I gotta I gotta tell you there was on my Facebook. I follow him on Facebook too. I don't think he does it. But it's probably somebody else that's not even dealing with it. It says news flash Joe Rogan wakes up alive this morning No, I read it. I think I was sarcasm. I hope of this sarcasm But I was like fuck yeah, I was like let's start doing more. Yeah, I don't think I don't think Joe mines That's what make him fun of him but like you know a hundred percent Let's do it. Do you just say that like oh he's eating course that like he's doing stupid shit, you know like woo-woo That's what they're trying to do. He's like oh, we got his crystals and how those it's like he didn't get
Starting point is 00:49:55 Crystals so hard. He's like following things People say that is science. He's like what makes them He has his wife in three kids. He doesn't want to get sick. That's not trying to hurt anybody. He's trying to be good. It's just an interesting way to try and form you later. Yeah, they went wild.
