Starting point is 00:01:32 We are not associated with Joe Rogan in any way. Think of us as the talking dead to Joe's walking dead. Enjoy the show. Podcast. You're listening to the Joe Rogan Experience Review. What a bizarre thing we've created. Now with your host, Adam Thorne. This might either be the worst podcast or the best one of all time.
Starting point is 00:01:51 One, go. Enjoy the show. Hey guys and welcome back to another episode of the JRE Review. I'm Adam, joined as always. And this week by Peter. Hello there. How's it going? Hello, Peter. Yes.
Starting point is 00:02:14 Apologies again for the sound quality last week. Yeah, disgusting. I'd be disgusted too. We fixed it. We fixed it. Sometimes it pops up and it does that, and it's rare, but my god. Barely listenable. It's upsetting.
Starting point is 00:02:34 Hurts me. Well, we make a barely listenable thing anyway, so when we add that into there... That's a good point. That's a good point. So we got at least one job we can do well, which is the audio quality. Can't even do that. Listen, you know what? It's post COVID age.
Starting point is 00:02:51 You have to stand your toes out there. You might be in the middle of a bunker. Adams is deep in the deserts of Texas, deep underground. I'm in a mountain. I'm going to dip far, far deep in a mountain. It's just all I hear all day is just the sound of some drip somewhere driving me insane. A lot of wet down there. And then I listen to Rogan's.
Starting point is 00:03:14 Could be worse. It could be worse. It could be in China. It could be over there in Venezuela, all right? Could be Ohio. Oh, now I've done it. Now I've done it. All right. Who got this week?
Starting point is 00:03:26 We got Adam Asamba. That's a surprise. What a great guest. And then we're going to we're going to cover good old Dennis Quaid, I think. That's an unusual one. I wouldn't have thought him being on there either. But I knew I knew Rogan's known Adam for a long time, which, again, is like kind of surprising why he'd never been on.
Starting point is 00:03:49 I guess, you know, Adam's just big, big deal. And why would he need to? And but it was cool to hear about the friendship and actually how kind of well they have known each other and how long their time together goes back. I can guess why he's on there. He, Joe's reaches the most people out of any sort of form of media ever existed, I think. Oh, I get it. He's trying to sell a book. Yeah, I get it. That makes sense. Or was it a movie? You know, it was a movie. That makes sense. Or was it a movie?
Starting point is 00:04:22 You know, it was a movie. He's trying to solve it. He's got a new line of candles. No, it's a comedy special titled Love You. There we go. There we go. Yeah, I haven't seen a comedy special from Adam Sandlin in a while. There was one, I don't know, maybe a couple of years ago.
Starting point is 00:04:44 And I think he's like playing music with it, kind of the old style of his. But I don't know if you remember, but back in the nineties, he had, I had some of his comedy CDs. So as old as it was. And man, did he have some legendary bits, just the little skits. I mean, they were just like skits. They weren't even like stand up. It was just like the Hanukkah song and,
Starting point is 00:05:10 and the goal in doing like, like old Jewish aunties, um, voices, smack around your, your hacking boss. Oh yeah. That was the, yeah, just the best. Or the goat. There's a goat. You guys got to check it out. It's awesome. It's so good. So many great ones. It's probably very silly today.
Starting point is 00:05:32 But back then, I mean, you know, I was 16 easily impressed, but it was some of the funniest stuff for sure. What a life he's lived. Like incredible. I mean, you talk about those people that have had really fortunate lives and incredible things happen to them. And I mean, you know, Rogan is obviously one of them, you know, from a young age, making good money, doing what he loved. Um, it sounds like Sandler even younger.
Starting point is 00:06:03 I mean, imagine being on on on SNL like 22. Well, yeah, I can't. Well, do it. That's what I'm doing. I'm saying to it now. Take yourself. I would have been dead like, like any one of the other people. Oh, Farley?
Starting point is 00:06:26 Got famous. Belushi? Yeah. Belushi? Yeah, who else did that? Is the like the curse of SNL for some people? Yeah, gotta burn the candle for sure. It's surprising that some of those guys made it out of there.
Starting point is 00:06:42 Well, so many have. Adam was particularly driven when he was a young lad. He admits to not being the most funny or talented person, but he is the most driven. Seemed like he was very, very driven. Oh, for sure. And I mean, once he made, I mean, some,, Farley was probably the biggest, up until his death, but, I mean, Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, I mean, they shot Adam Sandler right into first place, I would say.
Starting point is 00:07:19 He makes a funny movie. He can make some funny movies, and some really weird ones. That's true. That I'd never want to see again. But then also around that time, I mean, Mike Myers was crushing it with some of his movies and once he got to Austin Powers, I mean, he really should have never stopped doing those Austin Powers movies. He should have just done those forever.
Starting point is 00:07:43 Made one every like three years. That would have been okay for me. Didn't he do? What was the one he did that was just ridiculous? The guru or something? Oh, yeah. The love guru. Was it?
Starting point is 00:07:58 Yeah, it did not hit the way that they were hoping for sure. I tried to watch it and it was like... Nah, it's not good. But I do like his, so I married an axe murderer. That's a funny movie. It is a classic movie. That's where he got the voice for Fat Bastard, which is his dad. Piper down!
Starting point is 00:08:22 Piper down, Piper down. Very, very, very funny. Yeah. He must have had like a Scottish dad or uncle or something. I mean, he has that down almost too well. Almost too good. Yeah, brilliant. Brilliant. Yeah. So, Sam is on SNL. He's 22. He's crushing it.
Starting point is 00:08:46 He feels like an imposter because he's like, you know, I can't really write, I don't know how good I am at acting, we'll see. I don't really remember if he stood out too hard during SNL, but saying that, kind of, Mike Myers really didn't either. You know, back then it was like, again, Fali, Dana Carvey was really talented on SNL. Was David Spade there at the same time? Yep, Spade was. Spade didn't stand out too much on the skits either, but again, it kind of doesn't matter because you're around such genius people that it's really only a matter of time before you find your people you like working with and you just work away with movies.
Starting point is 00:09:35 Yeah, I mean, David Spade's made some great ones too. I mean, Joe Dirt was legendary. Yes. Mostly because Christopher Walken. was legendary. Yes. All the people to play like a dude with a mullet who is a real hillbilly. I mean, the fact that it was David's, I mean, he couldn't be less like that character and he nailed it. He's very dainty of a human. He doesn't, he won't be. He's not rough and tumble. He doesn't like to get dirty.
Starting point is 00:10:03 No, no, he doesn't. He's quite sophisticated. I do like that wee lad though. He's not rough and tumble. He doesn't like to get dirty. No, no, he doesn't. He's quite sophisticated. I do like that wee lad though. He seems to be like a good guy. He's great. He's great. Yeah. Yeah. So new special coming out. Love you. Going to be interesting to see when is it? August 27th. OK, so we've got, oh, got five days. Got five days. Yeah. I'd like to see it hit. It'd be interesting. It's, you know, he took a lot of time off standup. So I don't know. And I think his style is, is a little different than, than most
Starting point is 00:10:41 comedians too. So it might be a bit of an acquired taste, but for me, I'm not, I don't think I'm, I don't like enjoy his stand up in the past. So I wonder how it'll hit me. I think he's good at making goofy movies. You haven't you said? No, I'm not a big fan of the slapsticky kind of shibididoo. Right. Kind of like he's twanging away on his guitar. Yeah, and his songs.
Starting point is 00:11:10 I like his comedy writing is great. Yeah, because he kind of did that like baby voice thing. This podcast is brought to you by DraftKings Casino. And I don't know how that works when you're like 55. When you're a 62 year old man. He's in his rabbi years. That's what he's going back to impressions of just rabbi's nothing else. Probably do a good one.
Starting point is 00:12:51 It's got a good rabbi. No doubt. Speaking of rabbi's don't mess with the Zohan is that what it's called. Oh yeah. That's a pretty silly movie. It's very silly. I liked it. I do like it.
Starting point is 00:13:06 Yeah. Isn't that one bit where he's like swimming like a superhero? He's so strong. And he's like very, very non-American underwear. He's like bull-ratting it almost, but not quite. No. Yeah. They talked about the Chris Rock, Will Smith slap.
Starting point is 00:13:27 Um, you could tell Adam, I don't want to say he's very Hollywood cause I don't mean it like that, but he's diplomatic. He was like, it's a bad time. It was a bad thing, but he didn't really rag on, um, Will Smith too bad. You know, Joe wanted to, I think Joe gives less of a fuck, but, um, you know, just to kind of still hear that people think about that and it's a thing and it was never really kind of fully addressed. I mean, it's just interesting.
Starting point is 00:13:59 It happened. Like to say it just blew over and that's finished. Did it as it like, where Like where are we with that? Will Smith just moved on, but is it like... What does it mean? I'll tell you what it means for me. Things like the Golden Globes and the Oscars. Who's watching them? Once Ricky DuVe stopped doing the Golden Globes, forget about it. Once you stop doing the Golden Globes, forget about it. That's the only time I do reruns of those Golden Globes. Yeah. Well, Ricky Gervais won.
Starting point is 00:14:33 They did comedy specials on there for the first time and he won. No, no surprise. His comedy is amazing and he sells out world tours like instantly. But they had a comedian, I can't remember his name hosting that year and it was just, uh, it was a bomb factor. Was that a co Joe? He was the, he's the Filipino Filipino gentleman. I think so. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:00 Yeah. Yeah. It was terrible. It was so bad. Did you watch some of it? I was trying to find some of it today. And it's, is it scrubbed? It was, I don't know. I didn't find a lot of it. I was trying to find Ricky's speech when he won and I bet he didn't even go.
Starting point is 00:15:16 I bet he was just in London, probably just like, thanks. He's down the pub. And somebody's recorded it on their cell phone. He's like, yeah, thanks a lot. Cheers. You guys are great. He just like throws the trophy behind him. And up in a pile of trophies. Yeah. He starts trying to flog his vodka to everybody. Dutch barn. Get it. It'll kill you.
Starting point is 00:15:44 That's his Dutch barn vodka commercials that he does are legendary. That's so funny. So you have alcohol. Yeah. It one he's like talking to a doctor and he's just like, yeah, so tell him about the warnings. And they just basically talk about all the things that are bad about alcohol. And he's like, oh yeah, that is bad. Oh, that's pretty bad. And then they just end it and go, okay, well, Dutch barn, buy it.
Starting point is 00:16:11 Why a Dutch barn? Is that like synonymous with like that country hooch over there? I don't really know. I mean, especially because it's like a made in England vodka, made of apples, supposedly. Oh, English in your apples. We love it. We're all about it. Might as well have a cider while you're at it. You gotta do it.
Starting point is 00:16:32 You gotta do it. They talked a little bit about health and fitness. I think that Adam brought it up, maybe just because he's like staring across the table from a Super Jack dude and he's like, what's possible it looks like a baby gorilla yeah but it didn't sound like he was too keen to get into it and start getting jacked he kept saying he plays a lot of b-ball and you know this means shooting hoops with your daughters isn't really it's not not really going to get you. No, I think he, I think he hits the courts, dude.
Starting point is 00:17:05 I heard that he used to play often with the, with guys down in Venice and some other spots around, um, like legit, like he'd just show up like one of the guys and play, play some hoops. I mean, that's not bad in your fifties. Probably just shoot some threes at this point, but you think he like gets mean and does some street some res ball where you like throws throws bows at you. Just powering into the hoop.
Starting point is 00:17:31 He takes it to the hole every time. Unlikely be the rock, give me the rock, give me the rock. He's a big, big passer. See a lot of bounce path, a lot of bounce, a lot of bounce passing. Yeah, he's got a bad shoulder. He's taking it easy. Yeah. Who doesn't? Right. You need to, you need to for sure. So with Adam Sandler, I mean, what would you say really he's done movie wise in the last 10 years?
Starting point is 00:18:00 I mean, he's done some more type movies, hasn't he? Not just all comedy. I think they're quite good. Murder mystery, one is pretty good. Rob Schneider almost ruins it, as always. In every movie that Rob Schneider's in, if he doesn't ruin it, he almost ruins it. Then there's, my personal favorite is Hunt's Trunk Love, which is about 20 years old now. Really? Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:32 It's with Philip Seymour Hoffman. It's good. Oh, that's cool. Yeah, I'd be down to watch that. That's a good date night movie. You should watch that with your lady. I will. I'll consider it.
Starting point is 00:18:46 So the murder mysteries and having Rob Schneider in, I mean, would he be in anything ever if it wasn't for Adam? I mean, I don't want to bag on him too much, but... He was also in SNL, but he's pretty much hard to work with and he's he's Adam Sandler has like helped his career David Spade's career he just Nick Schwartzman he let's all he lifted all these people up and for sure borderline maybe half of them didn't really deserve it you know yeah i'm big fan of Nick though. I'll tell you that. I like him. He's great.
Starting point is 00:19:27 He was great in Reno. Like the gay rollerblader that was always committing crimes. He's a great stand-up comedian. He's very funny. His stand-up is excellent. I've seen him a few times at the comedy store and he's just so casual, so likable and just fucking hilarious. I mean, he's very, very good. He's a good example of someone that's put the time in and it's just like, you know, for whatever kind of level of like selling out whatever he can do, you know, it's not always a reflection of how good they are, right? I mean, he definitely can headline. I'm just saying, I don't know how big of a place he sells out, but his comedy is just
Starting point is 00:20:13 superb. I mean, it's effortless. You know? ALICE He definitely plays a great frat boy vibe. JUSTIN Mmhm. Yeah, he's a very silly character, for sure. Very, very silly character. He's great on the other podcasts I've listened to him on, too.
Starting point is 00:20:32 So talk about Nick. He's he's with it. Hey, Nick. Yeah, he was on Theo not that long ago, and he was, and it was mostly playful, but also because like Brendan Schaab is easy to pick on at the moment on the internet, so they were giving him a hard time. And he had a lot of CTE and... Jesus, that's just true. Pretending they didn't know how to say his last name.
Starting point is 00:21:02 They were like, is it Shroob? It's Schwab. It's Shroob. But yeah, he's a superb shit talker on podcasts. I mean, you'd be hard pressed to get one over on him. He will get you and it will derail you for the podcast, for sure. I'd love to have a drink with that guy or ten. Yeah, talking about, I mean, people like how sick would it be to, uh, hang out with Adam Sandler?
Starting point is 00:21:32 Do you think, uh, he gets after it anymore? Is he party? I don't know. I don't know. I bet he, I bet he had a few cocktails. Some civilized civilized drinks. Yeah. I think, I think he'd be down. I think he'd just be genuinely cool. He just seems very nice. You know, he never seems like too full of himself. There's not like TZ, you know, clips out there of him pushing away reporters or slapping on people.
Starting point is 00:21:59 There's no drunken rants or anything. It's good. No, yeah, I like I like them. Yeah, let's get them on. Let's talk. No, yeah, I like, I like them. Yeah, let's get them on. Let's talk to that. Let's get the guy on the phone. He's like, I'm not taking your calls. Not doing it. Did you see him? Did you see him on? What's that? What's Brett? Brett, the monsters podcast name? Which is gosh, I forgot his name.
Starting point is 00:22:24 Which one? The Monsters? Yeah, he's called the Monster or Specialist. He's a comedian. He always takes his shirt off. I forgot his name. Oh, Birdcrusher? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:38 The Machine. The Machine. Dude, yeah, the Machine. Adam Sandler was on with Bert Krusche? Yeah, he called into his podcast and he just asked him the drunkest questions and was just really weird. And he weirded Adam out.
Starting point is 00:22:56 No shit. Yeah, Adam was like, yeah, next question, stupid question. So wait, Adam has his own podcast though. He was just on with some people. He called into Burt's podcast. Oh, I gotcha. Video code. I think, I think but bless him. He's pretty awkward sometimes, especially with people that are very drunk on his podcast.
Starting point is 00:23:22 He was very drunk. Yeah. Oh dear. Come on, man. Got a job. You got to drink while you're doing the podcast, not before the podcast. Exactly. Just get slowly drunk. No one's listening at the end of the podcast. Anyway, that's when you're allowed to be drunk. Gotcha.
Starting point is 00:23:38 I better hurry up then. Well, that's what they will pass out at the end of the save our parks episodes. It's like Aries unconscious under the table growing up. Yeah. By the very end of it, it's literally just Shane Gillis talking. Cause everyone else is too drunk. And then it's just Shane talking to Jamie. That's, that's the end of it. That's the end.
Starting point is 00:24:07 You know, I, I've, those are hard to listen to all the way. They're like three and a half, four hours long. So, oh, that's so good, dude. I never miss a second of those. That's how sad my life is. I see those come out and I'm like, play my schedule. I scrap all my doctor's appointments, anything I have. Doesn't matter.
Starting point is 00:24:24 Can't wait to listen to those. They're the best ones. I scrap all my doctor's appointments, anything I have, doesn't matter. Can't wait to listen to those. The best ones and I can't even review them, because they're chaos. No point. You're just talking about shit jokes. The whole time. I mean, there would be a way and I've thought about it would be like just reiterating a bunch of like really good clips from it. That would probably be a good way of doing it. But a little clip show about it would be like just reiterating a bunch of like really good clips from it that would
Starting point is 00:24:45 that would probably be a good way of doing it but a little clip show about it yeah you'd have to do something like that i think it could be done could be done all right so adam sandler legend watch his comedy special august 28th hopefully it's good all right let's jump over to dennis quake Hopefully it's good. All right, let's jump over to Dennis Quague. Yeah, Dennis, come on. Did some classic news back in the day. Jules 3. I actually saw him in Santa Fe 2007.
Starting point is 00:25:15 No shit. And he talks about being getting out of AA, or other, you know, out of rehab in the 90s. And the dentist quit I saw looked pretty hung over. And I say that because I was also very hung over that as a delivery driver, I was hung over as well. So our red eyes locked across a parking lot. He was in this like black Yukon. I was like walking down the delivery ramp for a Cisco food truck. locked eyes with that guy. And we both were like,
Starting point is 00:25:52 we are the same. We're too drunk for this. We're too hung over for this. Oh, well, you know, I think he's been in and out of rehab. So maybe you called him. I'm on his side. He seems like before he's been in and out of rehab. So maybe you caught him. I'm on his side though. He seems like before he went back in normal, normal dude, really. Yeah. I was kind of surprised to hear like he's a country gospel singer and you know, has some songs there. I mean, that's a choice I, you know, wouldn't have put together with him. But when you just know someone is an actor, you're just making a lot of assumptions about who they are.
Starting point is 00:26:31 And really, you have no idea. A lot of them have bands and are into music. But gospel was not what thing I guess. I was given a guess. So sort of like Bruce Willis style harmonica rock smooth jazz for Dennis. Yeah. No vocal no vocals just him on a bassoon just looking cool on stage. Just I don't know why.
Starting point is 00:27:03 Yep. Trumpeting away ripping keys on keys. On the horns. As they say. Yep. Yeah. I wouldn't have put that together, but he loves it. And he's coming out with a new song and he's pondering out with some pretty famous people, which is quite interesting. So see how that goes. He, he talked a bit about his career, you know, just basically early on starting in Hollywood. It was funny how he put it together. He's like, Hey, I wanted to be a veterinarian, but then I saw a horse get his balls cut off. And then I'm like, I'm going to be an actor.
Starting point is 00:27:39 Yeah. I don't know if you just get to say, I'm going to be an actor as like, what your fallback plan. And now you're an A-list. It was the seventies. You could do that kind of thing. Yeah. So what was his brother was an actor and he just was like, I could do it. I went to drama school. Don't you know who Randy Quaid is?
Starting point is 00:27:58 Oh yeah, of course. Damn. I just put that together now. And he's a true actor. I just put that together now. And he's a true actor. It goes Sir Richard Harris, Anthony Hopkins, Randy Quaid. There we go. And level of cultural importance for America anyway.
Starting point is 00:28:20 Dwayne the Rock Johnson. And then that chick from Jersey Shore. Right. Snuggy. I wonder how close he is to his brother. Good question. He didn't mention me except for that's where he he got an in over there because his brother was going to acting school and moved to L.A. That's right. So he did, too. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:44 I love those memes around the 4th of July when it shows him in his like, Air Force pilot gear from the movie Independence Day and they're like, never forget why you're, for your independence. And it's just showing him like like right before he crashes into the alien ship. Yeah, that's what I would do. I'm not gonna quit drinking towards the end of the world. I'm gonna keep drinking and then fly a F-16 into the belly of the beast. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:17 Think how, I won't say efficiently you would fly it because that wouldn't be true, but how boldly. Like it's never been flown like that before. You mean all the wrong buttons being put. Landing gear down, of course. You eject yourself off the runway. They're like, man down. Stuff's changed since I was flying those things in the war. That's right.
Starting point is 00:29:50 Well, it wasn't it though that he was just like spraying fields? Like, how would you know how to do a fighter jet? That seems like quite a lot different. It's like you and I can drive a car, but if someone gave us a Formula One vehicle, I don't think we'd get very far. We overshoot the first corner by like a mile and a half and explode. Yeah, yeah. It's good to know your limitations on stuff like that. Yeah, yeah for sure. But I think he was...
Starting point is 00:30:22 I think he flew him in like, some war, like Vietnam maybe. Oh, okay. He was a former jet pilot that was washed out in some crop dusting... Fair enough. Job. Backstory complete. Well, you were in the second movie, so you should know. Yeah, basically friends with him.
Starting point is 00:30:44 Did they hand you the script and you're like, hmm, good script. I'm in. I smacked it, put my coffee down on it. And I was like, I'm in. And they were like, stand by that door for point one seconds. Exactly. Exactly. You see my work. I've seen it. It's good. It's on your reel.
Starting point is 00:31:04 I'm on IMDB. It's real good. Are you on that? No, I'm not on there. Oh, I have an IMDB for this. Really? Really? Yeah. And for some reason it says I'm in the Adam Sandler movie Click, which I've never figured out. Go Google that. Jamie, get on that.
Starting point is 00:31:20 That's my IMDB. It's real. Let's get, I want to be on your IMDb. Get me on there. You know, I didn't set it up. People just do it. I don't know who does that. I wouldn't have done it. I don't care. Well, I want on there. Well, get me in there. You you're allowed anytime you want. Thank you very much. Talk to talk to the people. All right. let's talk about his political views pretty quick. So he just made the Reagan documentary, which I want to see.
Starting point is 00:31:52 That sounds cool. And he's feeling like he's getting some pushback from it because it's an election year. They don't want to big up Republicans. Yeah, he seems pretty conservative, I would say. Yeah, well, his voting record has been Democrat, mostly. Right. But I mean, now he sounds like he's tired of it. I guess it's the same thing that's happened to almost everybody that I know that's sensible, that they've stayed in the center and the left has moved so far to the left that we are now right.
Starting point is 00:32:31 Right. And that's, you know, sad days. We say that, that the poles don't reflect it. North and south. Do the poles reflect that it's most- Kind of close. 50-50 50? Mm hmm. Yeah. So, you know, I guess I just choose to be friends with people that are accepting in reality. You think people are going the other direction though? To like to let them out those numbers? Yeah. I'm sure. Yes, because they have
Starting point is 00:33:02 to, you know, sign on particular parts of a party. Like say they like the foreign policy or like the LGBTQ movements. So they have to sign up for the whole thing or nothing. Which is okay. You know, I get it. That makes sense. They're voting anti something versus for something. Yeah. Yeah. What was, I mean, were there any parts of what he was saying kind of when he was getting into his political ideas that didn't make sense or you didn't care for?
Starting point is 00:33:39 I thought that, well, he didn't really go too hard in any crazy way. He really didn't. I thought that his approach to life seemed oddly rounded out for a person who's been famous constantly for 40 years. It's a good point. I was like, okay, he sounds like kind of like my mildly conservative uncle. Right. That also used to love cocaine.
Starting point is 00:34:06 Oh, well, yeah, yes. Put down his IMDb. But he stopped that once he started, once he stopped backpacking across Australia. He kind of straightened up after that. Oh, he was just backpacking too quickly or. His calves were getting too big. Oh, yeah, huge. Busted out of his capris.
Starting point is 00:34:30 He didn't go around any mountain. He's like, I'm going over it. Is there any down there? Down under? I reckon there's no mountains down under. No, I think you can ski down there. They have like one ski spot. Southern. Maybe New Zealand. Yeah, I don't know about that. Not a skier.
Starting point is 00:34:48 I don't know either. Oh, it's pretty sad down there. Too hot. Well, you just don't want to be in the middle. Yeah. Middle's bad. Inhabitable. Yeah, exactly. Exactly. Uninhabitable. All right. Let's finish up with the AI technology business. What was your thoughts on that? Everyone has to have their opinion now on AI, even Dennis Quaid, the actor. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:14 Uh, well, I guess they, the problems with AI are the same that he had are the same ones we always talk about. Joe always talks about, right? Who's programming it? It's inhuman. So we'll have our same ethics or care about people. People are a byproduct. It's not a person. So what make the same choices when it comes to nuclear Armageddon?
Starting point is 00:35:39 Maybe not. Maybe it's like, well, they're actually just a poison. Might as well get these people off the planet. And it's too easy to think that it just do what it's like, well, they're actually just a poison might as well get it with these people off the planet. And it's too easy to think that it just do what it's programmed to do. But what if it's programmed to go to make its own decisions, make its, make its own, there's no fail sites. Good point. Yeah. I mean, that was the concern that they expressed.
Starting point is 00:36:05 It was like there was more fear in that conversation with it instead of excitement. You know, Elon's not holding on board with it being all good, you know, so. That's why he's making his own one. He knows about it more than I do. Good point. What about the, nobody talks about the good things they can do. Like it could make movies with him when he's younger again. I hate those movies, but maybe they get better.
Starting point is 00:36:32 You won't be able to tell it's like Arnold in his prime with Bruce Willis in his prime, but who's writing it? Is it, is it, is it, are they going to write it? Dennis? Ah, all right. Just the whole AI made the whole thing up. Homogenization of culture. Mix it all together.
Starting point is 00:36:50 That's it. That's it. Well, pretty interesting. Pretty interesting character. I'm keen to watch that documentary or that little biopic he's put together. We'll see. When did they say that came out? Well, I don't know. I should know that one. a pick he's put together. We'll see when did they say that came out? I don't know actually that one. Let's see.
Starting point is 00:37:20 It is coming out release date. Oh, August 30th. That's why he's on. So eight days. We can watch it in eight days. I think he, he came on also because he's been getting, um, restricted advertise advertisement access. Right. Of course. So might as well come on a Rogan and get 280 million listeners. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:43 I mean, it's definitely better than adding the New York times. I don't. Yeah. They make you pay for that. I don't, I don't pay for that. Yeah. That's what I mean. All right. That's it for this week. Thank you so much. As always Pete, thanks for being here. Thank you for the invite. All right. Talk to you guys next week. Thanks a lot. See ya. Bye.
