spot today my right spot today might be a controversial bright spot maybe one
that people won't come on board for okay okay and that is I'm excited that it's
winter I see I didn't realize it until maybe like a couple weeks ago but I was

it's gonna be negative 20 oh sure sure shade winter no no that's that is the
nature of the beast yeah but I don't think I could live in a place that didn't
have a winter it's kind of nice to have a little bit of snow yeah common it's it's
a nice thing to have the seasons change something for you without you having to
like move or something you know sure like I just all I did was just sit here for a
while and things are different now that's not bad no no yeah and you know I
think the it feels like the leaves fell off the trees like within a matter of
awful quick like overnight and then now it's snowing yep all right it was fine
it was a hey it was a nice sunny day and then about 2 2 in the afternoon it's
just like well it's gonna be winter forever now yeah 0 to 60 60 to 0 I guess

it's just great it was a lot of fun it was good times hanging out I am gonna
keep the review of the pay-per-view of myself yes okay except to say it was too
long too long that is not gonna be a controversial bright spot probably not
so Jordan today we're going back to the past we're gonna be talking about June
27th 2003 okay on this this here episode and one of the reasons for that was
that our last episode of the present day you know I think I got it I got enough
out this guy's a real dick he's a real piece of shit and I want to maintain
the there being some things to learn on this this this here podcast sure and so
I wanted to dig back and find some meaty stuff to go over and I did I found
some things that are I think going to be really interesting to get into some
perceptions that will be busted oh maybe a little little knock knock knock
little perceptions you're busted you're busted and I'm excited to get into that
but before we do Jordan let's say hello to some new wonks that's great idea so

no it's a different Jay Z not mr. Beyonce right right no no no not the not
the Kings Queen two initials yes gotcha Jay and a Z ah so Jordan we start off
today's episode with some triumphant news for some okay some possibly if he
news for Alex okay that he interprets in a strange way US senator the oldest US
senator the longest serving US senator who just left office last year died this
morning former US senator Strom Thurman died Strom Thurman the longest serving
senator in US history died Thursday he was 100 so he died in the I guess early
morning hours yesterday again Thurman died at 9 45 p.m. local time in a
hospital in his hometown of Edgar Field said his son Strom Thurman Jr. he
served as a senator from South Carolina for 48 years as both the Democrat and
later as a Republican Strom Thurman was attacked viciously and endlessly for
because he wasn't a Democrat and he wasn't a Klan member so he was called a
racist if you're a Klan member if you hate black people if you try to
exterminate them sir I have your call the right way extremists yes you care
about black people and so he was attacked he was attacked excuse me sir
he was attacked because he cared about black people he wanted slavery back yeah
I think this is an interesting take on Strom Thurman that why people would call
him a racist wow this is full of shit yeah so for instance even in the
information that Alex provided in just that clip you might end up like if you
that's all you had to go on you might ask yourself why did Strom Thurman go
from being a Democrat to being a Republican why didn't Alex get into
any of that it seems like it seems like something that maybe was a big decision
for him yeah and I wonder if a lot of people at the same time became maybe went
from being Democrats to becoming Republicans so the short version is that
Strom was a huge racist and the Democratic Party wasn't racist enough for
him anymore not anymore so the longer version is that in 1956 many Southern
Democrats or Dixie Crats as they were known after they went a little rogue in
response to Harry S. Truman sporting some civil rights things in the 1948
election right so these Dixie Crats were really pissed off about the Supreme
Court's decision in Brown versus Board of Education which ruled that racially
segregated schools were unconstitutional in response 112 of the 138
members of Congress from southern states signed what they called the Southern
Manifesto this document insisted that the Supreme Court had no right to
meddle in the matters of education and if you know states wanted to make it so
people of different races had to go to separate schools protecting that right
was critically important it's states right Stan it's not it's about the
federal system getting out of our business it's important to protect the
Constitution absolutely right yeah so they pleaded that they should be able to
keep their whole separate but equal thing going and blamed efforts to
desegregate on quote outside meddlers what I've never heard that before totally
that's so weird the outside meddlers have been they have been fucking up the
progressive movement for so long very effective over time yeah undefeated
outside meddlers they warned that trying to integrate schools was gonna
destroy the amicable relations between the races literally that's in the
Southern Manifesto of course it is they have to they have to really guess like
you if you want to if you want to maintain slavery you got to really
gaslight people yeah they commended the quote states which have declared the
intention to resist forced integration by any lawful means so Strom Thurmond as a
southern member of the Senate was a massive fan of segregation and he signed
on to the Southern Manifesto huge fan this was a losing battle he was fighting
as the tide was trending towards civil rights but that didn't stop him from
really trying fucking hard and that brings us to August 28th 1957 when
Strom Thurmond embarked on the longest filibuster in history there we go
to derail the civil rights act of 1957 you got it a large part of which had to
do with protecting black people's right to vote wow there is that he filibustered
for 24 hours and 18 minutes but the bill passed a couple hours after he ran out
of steam he achieved essentially nothing except making sure people throughout
history would remember him as a record-setting racist flash forward a few
years and lbj had just signed the civil rights act of 1964 this was a big one as
it outlawed discrimination on the basis of race color religion sex and national
origin this covered voting issues public accommodations public facilities
education and employment discrimination so as you can easily imagine the racists
were really not happy about they weren't stoked lbj's assistant bill Moyers has
quoted Johnson is saying quote I think we just delivered the south to the
Republican Party for a long time to come after he'd signed the bill and at the
time he couldn't have possibly known how right he was yeah the cracks were there
since the Truman administration's embrace of civil rights and this lbj
shit was just too much the Republican Party would soon roll out the southern
strategy and attempt to win over white southern voters by explicitly appealing
to their racism this was essentially the point where the parties completely
changed their identities from what they were previously and many of the southern
Democrats became Republicans there are still some racist Democrats for sure but
a lot of the hardcore folks like a guy who would speak for 24 hours straight to
try and stop black people from being guaranteed equal voting rights they just
made their jump to the Republican Party where they were always meant to be
yeah not to put too fine a point on it but Strom Thurmond is essentially
synonymous with racism even though he did soften as time went on and he would
eventually do things like vote in favor of making a holiday in honor of Martin
Luther King Jr. his legacy is impossible to separate from his horrible racism at
a time when it really mattered a lot the fact that Alex can't even accept this
very clear reality of history it's an indication of how entrenched his own
racism is even in 2003 he's just a little publicly less angry about it at
this point in his career you know what's wild about the Strom Thurmond thing is
I remember in my freshman like history class we were talking about the
president pro tempore of the Senate being a fourth in line for becoming the
president and I was like who is who is that now and they go well they usually
just give it to the oldest senator and it was Strom Thurmond at the time and
and I was like oh that's really funny it's the oldest senator and she just
looked at me and she was like yeah I wouldn't like Strom Thurmond if I were
you did not accept do you know what your job should be hey Strom Thurmond was a
giant racist who filibustered for over 24 hours to end civil rights as we knew
it it's a good it's a good thing to know
instead she was like you know what don't work let's just hope that the top three
stay and stay in line so Alex has a what about game to play with Strom
Thurmond and is that come on man Strom Thurmond couldn't be racist because
someone else was really people can attack Strom Thurmond on whatever issues
they want but his segregation is used my friends were in 1957 now back at that
time senator Byrd was running around with a white hood on his head and of
course he's one of the senior Democrats in the Senate so I'm just tired of the
double standards I don't want to get off into a big discussion about this because
it is a diversion I thought if I were Alex I wouldn't want to get into a big
discussion about this too because the specifics end up making this argument
fall apart I mean sooner or later when you're defending Strom Thurmond you're
gonna be the guy who says something and you go now I didn't mean that in a racist
way right Thurmond segregationist views were not just in 1957 oh no they were
also well after that point like when he left the Democratic Party because they
were too against segregation for his taste yeah but Alex does make a good
point about senator Byrd I will admit that that dude was also a piece of shit
and was definitely in the Klan there's no real evidence that he was involved in
the Klan passed around like 1950 though and he expressed a great deal of regret
about being a member later on in the name of fairness though I don't think it's
right of me to say that it's cool to look at Byrd differently because he changed
later in his life when I'm still sticking it to Strom Thurmond even though he
did change a little bit as time went on as well I have a perfect solution to this
problem though and that is to say fuck both of them you got it yeah now the
only reason I'm really getting into this at all is because there's a perfect
example that Alex could use to make this same argument a ton better but he
doesn't which is strange Alex should instead of bringing up Byrd he should be
bringing up George Wallace considering that he was a hardcore segregationist as
he famously said segregation now segregation tomorrow segregation forever
Wallace was a gigantic racist and he was running for the Democratic
presidential nomination all the way up to 1976 now there's a reason that Alex
can't use Wallace as the example of racists in the Democratic Party and
that's because he has to believe that George Wallace isn't a racist or else
his entire worldview suddenly starts to look really racist yep there's the huge
problem that he was the candidate that the John Birch Society was most into and
that alone could make Alex not want to associate him with a very clear racism
that he embodied then there's the other question that is this association would
bring up which is that the book that Alex credits with changing his life is
none dare call it conspiracy which was written by Gary Allen Allen was one of
if not the most popular writers and speakers in the John Birch Society and
was also George Wallace's speechwriter honestly Allen was his speechwriter on
the presidential campaigns the first of which launched in 1963 the same year he
said his famous quote about segregation forever so it's not impossible that Allen
had some hand in those words huh then you have the issue that one of the big
backers of Wallace's 1968 independent party run for president was Willis
Cardo the white supremacist and neo-nazi who founded the Liberty lobby and
published the spotlight the Holocaust denying publication that was edited by
Alex's friend Big Jim Tucker who is Alex's main source on Bilderberg
conspiracies the threads that unravel when you pull on George Wallace unravel in
ways that kind of make it too clear that Alex's world and his formative
influences are all profound racists that's why even though George Wallace would
be the perfect example to demonstrate democratic racism at the time of Strom
Thurmond and the civil rights period Alex would instead go with Bird who has a
you know he has a decidedly racist past but no real indication of that clan
association continuing into the period we're talking about right Alex can't
afford to use the perfect example George Wallace sure because you know it's his
buddy yeah I find that really interesting that is I mean I because I
was sitting there listening I'm like why don't you use Wallace I mean I used
Wallace instantly the moment you the moment you say Strom Thurmond I'm like
yeah and his good buddy George Wallace like that's the way it works and for him
to just have to sit there and be like who can I find so Alex doesn't like a lot
of these people in the Republican Party at this point all these neocons are all
secretly liberals sure sure sure they only want segregation a little bit so
you got George W. Bush and you got Trent Lott and these two dudes are in Alex's
crosshairs for the wrong reasons I have a fox news story where Bush told him
stop bringing that up for a vote and that's not your prerogative you follow
the White House's orders so that's the only reason Bush turned us back on Trent
Lott his little cheerleader buddy they were both cheerleaders male cheerleaders
that's bad enough ladies and gentlemen don't trust any male cheerleaders
shimpering effeminate new world order skull and bones twitch wow so I guess if
you're a male cheerleader you get into skull and bones I am boggled why totally
that is what you would expect but it's like of all things yeah of all things
yep man you know what's going on right now man must adhere to these strict rules
and roles that I have delineated for them because they're divinely inspired or
something I just and it's and it's like you don't even know anything about male
cheerleading at the time there's a massive competitive cheerleading sure
going on in the male cheerleaders are incredibly important to the success of
all it's an athletic building a base it's amazing it's talented and masculine if
you want I don't know sure why are you screaming this is just another version
of the like you can't trust a male nurse yeah totally like totally these things
are feminine intrinsically excuse me stewardess I'm no sir sir sir I know
you're a man but if you're doing this job yeah ridiculous right totally expected
so Alex has a guest on this show and it's somebody that I have not heard on
his show before it's a character by the name of John Andrews who was at the
point at this point he was the president of the Colorado State Senate and he has
been pushing for tighter controls on what identification people can use things
like the consular matricula cards like the Mexican consulate sure sure they can
put give out these identification cards to Mexican nationals living in the
United States right and he is mad about this and so we're gonna talk about it a
little bit okay now we have these matricula cards Mexico started issuing
them a few years ago now 800 plus us cities aren't accepting them you can go
buy one for $24 now Poland to Guatemala is issuing their own cards up in
Minnesota they're announcing that they're not gonna comply with the feds
ongoing after illegal aliens this is insane totally insane we're honored to
have joining us Colorado Senate president John Andrews and he's in a big
story in the Denver Post in the Associated Press is a bunch of articles
he's proposed a state law and is the state's job to tell the cities to knock
it off and to stop their racketeering basically and that's my word empowering
felons hey knock it off cities empowering felons yep well I mean that's
just you know undocumented sure automatically felons of course so just
to clear up what Alex is talking about matricula cards are photo IDs that the
Mexican consulate can issue to Mexican nationals living outside of Mexico
these are very helpful particularly for Mexican immigrants living in the United
States for a number of reasons the first is that they allow consulates to be able
to track and locate people much easier than they would be able to otherwise in
the case of like an emergency the second reason is that they are considered
valid ID by many states thus allowing immigrants of any documentation status
to apply for a driver's license and it allows them to pay taxes further since
the matricula card is a valid ID they allow folks the ability to open bank
account which is pretty important yeah one thing they don't do is confer any
sort of immigration status upon the holder of one of these cards it's just
a secure official difficult to forge form of identification that makes
everyone's life easier right that these guys are super against I so
essentially because states and America won't just give people IDs without
having already got photo IDs or whatever this has to exist because Mexico
and they can it has to exist that's one thing and then there's there's a bunch
of other reasons sure like the being able to know where citizens of Mexico are
you know you'd want Alex is interviewing this guy John Andrews the then
president of the Colorado Senate about a bill he was championing called Colorado
House bill 1224 the secure and verifiable identity act this act wasn't
designed to have the Mexican consulate stop issuing these cards because that
would have been a violation of the 1963 Vienna convention on consular
relations instead this act was aimed at making it so state and local agencies
in Colorado could quote only accept secure and verifiable documents which
then was defined as not being these things this was essentially just a bill
designed to make immigrants lives more difficult by doing things like making
it so people who have consular ID cards can't use them to get drivers licenses
as a bank accounts folks like Andrews often try to couch their motivations as
being about keeping people safe and making sure that people can't exploit
the system but the reality is that this kind of bullshit hurts a lot more
people than just undocumented immigrants it'll be really naive to imagine that
Andrews isn't aware of that yeah in 2006 a report was released by the Brennan
Center for Justice titled citizens without proof which was aimed at
analyzing the effect these restrictions on getting identification have or have
the potential to have on US citizens themselves they found that 7% of US
citizens do not have ready access to the documents that would be required to get
a driver's license under these new laws they are though they would qualify to
get one they should yet but they just don't have the documents to get on great
however this number actually goes up to 12% when you only include people who
make under $25,000 a year there you go additionally 34% of women of voting age
had a document that proved their citizenship but it wasn't something
that included their current legal name oh yeah well so these are like real
difficulties that people who you know who are citizens would have under these
restrictions right all in the sake of essential you know racism and just
try to punish immigrants basically for what they consider like trespassing yeah
I mean if you if you like if you can't ban people then you can just make their
lives miserable enough that they won't want to be there mm-hmm that's the other
plan I guess so also I want to let you know what kind of a shithead this guy
John Andrews is so I'm gonna read to you an excerpt from a speech he gave at the
2019 Western Conservative Summit the theme of this gathering was defending
religious freedom in America's First Amendment segregation now segregation
then maybe I shouldn't forever so he begins by extolling how great and
important religious freedom is quote unless every American is free to honor
God as conscience may guide and to obey God in the public square as long as no
one else is harmed unless we are free in that precious way we are not free at
all so far so good as long as he's talking about all religious beliefs and
also the absence of I can go along with him absolutely well he loses me
pretty fast okay I'm gonna read this whole quote even though it's a bit long
because I want to preserve the context okay quote now let's talk about what
freedom of religion does not mean all right I will speak with tough love from
the heart with no animosity or ill will toward any person let me please hear me
carefully suppose somebody originated a belief system that claimed exclusive
right to revelation the command from above and a harness that aggressive
claim to a burning sense of victimization the wound from within what a
loose cannon that would be suppose it's claim of revelation included a
totalitarian political and economic system not subject to reformation set
forth in a holy book not subject to revision suppose it's legal scholars
and clergy insisted the day is coming when that book must govern all mankind
on penalty of death to whoever would refuse to submit suppose finally that
this belief system had been around for over a thousand years deepening its
victim complex its rage reinforcing its unbending absolutism and its dreams of
global conquest until today commands the allegiance of a quarter of the earth's
population on every part of the earth's surface I'm talking about the belief
system called Islam see now what's so odd about that well I know what you're
getting at I was worried that he was a radical Islamist saying the exact same
thing about Christianity right that's so weird so this asshole is making this
statement that Islam isn't protected by the freedom of religion in 2019 he goes
on to clarify a statement by saying quote it's true we all know Muslims who
are likeable neighbors are capable co-workers decent patriotic Americans
who humbly love Allah that's not what I'm talking about what but that's
absolutely what he's talking about when he claims that a belief system called
Islam is this horribly murderous totalitarian victimhood obsessed cult
that includes a quarter of the world's population he's including in that slur
the nice Muslim neighbors he's pretending to not be talking about this is
abject demonization of all Muslims pretending to be in opposition to
terrorism just a few paragraphs after he says that he's not talking about the
nice Muslim neighbors he literally says quote the simplistic approach of just
granting unconstitutional quote unquote freedom of religion to a religion that
doesn't believe in freedom and have no doubt Islam does not that approaches
civilizational suicide fuck this dude wow in that speech he goes on to say
quote I'm sure some of you will disagree with me so will some other speakers
this weekend they will tell you that a good and faithful Muslim can also be a
good and faithful American sorry I don't see how
Wow that's on you yeah that's that's so that's an easy that's an easy fix yeah
fuck yourself yep he goes on to say that Americans need to name their two
enemies who are Marx and Muhammad oh man it sure seems like it's just that guy
yeah John Andrew sucks and this his actions in 2003 as a part of the Colorado
Senate are motivated by the same things that motivate his intense hatred of
Islam he's a xenophobic asshole who views America as a white Christian
country and he's dedicated to pursuing politics that support that view the only
thing I'm left in confusion about like when I look into this guy's like why is
he not still a regular Gaston info wars yeah that's surprise seems like he should
be working there I mean it is he's still elected to anything I know yeah well
no no no then he should be yeah so I find this guy to be a sort of a boring
racist he's a real piece of shit yeah he's a real piece of shit I don't like
that you can just still say things 16 years after that you know like you
should like 16 years is a long time for the world to not change mm-hmm that's
brutal yeah oh so Andrews has this you know hey man hey man mm-hmm this isn't
about bashing Mexicans I assure you and then he goes on to cite somebody that
it's almost amazing that he would cite not about bashing Mexicans it's about
the rule of law and whether we take us national sovereignty seriously at the
congressional hearing last week from Iowa of all places Iowa long long ways
from the Mexican border Congressman Steve King of Iowa told of going to see a
school principal in suburban Des Moines a Hispanic guy an educator who had signed
an ad of protesting King's immigration concerns and King says to the gentleman
what's your problem and this Hispanic American presumably a US citizen an
educator someone that's in charge of molding the minds of kids says look
brother he didn't cross the border the border crossed us we're in the process
of getting this corner of the country back and we want to thank you because
we're getting it back nationally improved from the condition in which we lost it
in the 1840 pretty pretty amazing story are you telling me that noted massive
racist Steve King from Iowa spoke to a very real person who told him that
Mexico is taking Iowa back do I understand that correctly yeah I heard
that is like wow it's not a true story I 100% believe that totally true story I
love I love that this really fake story that Steve King told is now being
repeated by this Colorado state senator to Alex to defend his racist
political ideas this incredible racist made up a very racist story that I'm
going to share with you to defend myself and say that I am not a racist so there
were no there was no alleged Hispanic teacher who told Steve King that they
were recolonizing the country and that they appreciated that America had made
some improvements to the place in the meantime I love it that's just a story
that's Taylor made to push the buttons of white identity victimhood fetishizers
like Andrews and Alex there's so much subtle and unspoken racism that's built
into that story that it would take quite a while to unpack it all but I think
that there's a couple of points that jump out as the most interesting the
first is that this story is meant to evoke the feeling of someone taking a
advantage of the hard work that you've done these supposed Mexican folks who are
going to take the country over are going to exploit the fruits of our hard
labor this is a particular fear for white
nationalists because on some level they're aware that this is exactly what
the United States and other Western countries did through colonialism and
that without the exploitation of other populations and their resources they
wouldn't have the affluence that they enjoy today there's an unspoken admission
of we have it coming being all freaked out about some terrifying foreign group
coming to enjoy that affluence on our expense that's on some level an
expression of guilt that these folks will never really process or be in touch
with which they should probably get some therapy totally the second thing that I
think is really fucked up about this fake story that Andrews is relating has
to do with the characterization of this fictional Hispanic guy he's telling
Steve King that he's part of this effort to recolonize Des Moines and the rest
of the United States and you'll notice that Andrews specifically points out
that this man is presumably a legal resident of the United States presumably
this isn't explicitly laid out in the story but this is a detail that exists
in the telling to make the audience afraid of all immigrants even if they're
here legally and fully documented it's the same mentality that exists in his
2019 comments about you can't be a faithful Muslim and a faithful American
it's targeting and demonizing the entire group yep while pretending that's not
what you're doing yeah absolutely and the idea that subtle like just saying
presumably he's a US citizen is a simple way of saying you can't tell if they're
US citizens by looking at him and even if they are maybe they're not exactly
yeah yeah even if they look like they're a US citizen hey even if they're your
teacher they might be undocumented everybody could be an illegal alien so
just based on your site go ahead and assume yeah this is how someone like
Steve King or John Andrews can pretend that their politics and beliefs are about
national security or the rule of law but the actual message they're putting
forth is one of white nationalism and xenophobia just because a Hispanic guy
that Steve King made up is here legally that doesn't mean that he's not also part
of an effort to recolonize the United States black also it's really hilarious
that the example Andrews went with immediately of somebody who is like an
expert on these things is Steve King someone who's now synonymous with white
nationalism and racism in the same way that Strom Thurmond was yeah in another
generation really really take it took it to another level yeah yeah I think that
this says it all NPR when Steve King lost his re-election bid in 2020 I even
think that this headlines a little generous quote Iowa rep Steve King known
for racist comments loses re-election bid I think that's generous that might be
generous yeah I would even I would have even gone so far as to challenge him
like that Marie Le Pen kind of way of like hey Steve King massive racist loses
re-election bid Sue us yeah you don't want to get bogged down let's see what
happens hassle I want to legally call you a racist mm-hmm so there's this
initiative that John Andrews is putting forth and that is this idea that you
don't want places to accept these matricula cards as acceptable forms of
identification or sure because then you can make it so they can't use them to
get a state ID or a driver's license no you don't want that those things do not
confer immigration status like even if you get a driver's license it doesn't
mean aha you're now secretly a magic the citizen sure sure no I understand but
he wants every every official place to not recognize this and Alex has some a
really fucked up way that he talks about how like all the states need to get
on board I do hope people will visit Colorado Senate dot com and learn more
about the bill and encourage legislators in their state to follow suit
just like we're encouraging the US Congress to follow and if there's more
terror and it's an illegal and you know it's gonna be an illegal it's gonna be
their fault that's fucked up wow and it's really interesting as a thing for
Alex to be saying because it absolutely contradicts literally everything he
believes about the balance between liberty and security he constantly rails
on things like the Patriot Act and one of his biggest and fairly defensible
problems with it is that it was sold to the American people using fear the
idea was that if the folks in national security couldn't expand their
abilities to operate thereby encroaching on people's liberty and that would make
the next terrorist attack more likely because national security could have
stopped it if they just been able to use these expanded abilities or and that's
the essentially the same argument Alex is using exactly if I took Alex
seriously and thought his beliefs meant anything to him I would say that this was
really strange and hypocritical way for him to support this a bill against
accepting consular IDs because I know about as much about him as I do I know
that this really isn't a contradiction for him because in his mind the Patriot
Act hurts white people so it's bad whereas the Colorado bill is designed
to target Hispanic people so Alex is fine with it yeah this is not a small
point and I would be remiss if I didn't point out that these state level pushes
to use the fear of terrorism to restrict various forms of ID from being
acceptable that was the beginning of a trend that would come to a head when
Congress enacted public law 109-13 in May 2005 this was part of the quote
emergent emergency supplemental appropriations act for defense the
global war on terror and tsunami relief page 82 of the bill in division B
title to section 202 new standards were laid out for what documents were
necessary for states to determine a person's identity for any official
purpose including issuing IDs or driver's license and naturally the
standard became much higher and states were required to adhere to a federal
minimum requirement in terms of what they considered a proof of identity great
predictably Alex and his weirdo friends were all up in arms and furious about the
real ID act because it affects the only group that matters to them people who
look like them they tend to forget that the precursor to these evil ID laws was
their own agitating against accepting things like consular IDs as acceptable
forms of identification and that the same arguments and stoking fears of
imaginary Mexicans trying to recolonize or terrorists hiding in immigrant
communities that they use to pursue their goals were used to push the real ID
act yeah and you even hear John Andrews saying like we're pushing Congress yep
to take action on this on a federal level the thing that is most annoying
about Republicans constantly hoisting themselves upon their own petard is that
they have to hoist the rest of us on it with them true and you can see that this
is one of the really great examples that's really clear about how Alex gets
it coming and going yep like he can he can create a problem and then also profit
off complaining about that problem being created yep and again when I say created
I don't mean individually yes yeah yeah no of course and in the interest of
fairness I guess you could make the argument that Alex would be fine with
these real IDs as long as they were run by the state as opposed to the federal
government and that may seem like a good point at first but it's not the first
reason is that if the argument is that you need more restrictive rules about
identification because if you don't there'll be terrorist attacks or Mexicans
are gonna recolonize the country that's not a state level issue if just one
state has super lack standards for identification then there wouldn't be
anything stopping these imaginary terrorists from going to that state
using the consular ID to get drivers license which would then be recognized
by all the states that have implemented these restrictive ID guidelines man
that seems so obvious it's and it's like let's say that it like you handled gun
laws at like a state level and so some states had really strict gun laws and
other states had really lax gun laws like say you were Illinois right you're
living in Chicago and then just just like a mere mere miles away there the
gun laws were very very lax you know it would that wouldn't cause trouble okay
good yep that'd be totally fine okay that's nice yeah like I think I think that
there are many things that are appropriate to be run state by state and
then there are other things that are larger issues that affect everybody yeah
and those things kind of need to have universally applied policies or else
they're useless yeah and stopping terror is is one of them if that's the argument
you're going to use or the recolonization of America yeah you got to stop that yeah
you don't want you don't want Mexico taking Iowa anytime soon then they're
gonna vote first in our primaries and that's gonna be terrible yeah so this
federal state distinction that Alex would be using just doesn't make sense in
this context and then the second reason that this isn't really a case where that
like state federal issue thing is that it doesn't apply because the federal
government wouldn't be taking away of the process of issuing the ID right that's
still the states right there would just be a new more restrictive minimum
standard that states needed to follow that was on a federal level yeah so Alex
has John Andrews on as a guest he sucks and Alex is gonna have another guest on
who guess what he also sucks interesting it's Friday we got two hours left we've
got Glenn Spencer one of my favorite guest come on to talk about the
destruction of America and our sovereignty sure how illegal aliens get
more welfare more tuition more rights are allowed to have fake ID cards that
anyone can get that basically dozens of so just to be clear Alex hasn't
demonstrated in any way that it's easy to get multiple consular IDs nor has he
proven that undocumented immigrants get more government assistance nor that they
have more rights than citizens all evidence which points to the exact
opposite being true in every fashion this is just legitimately only his
extreme white victimhood complex speaking I don't love that Glenn Spencer is
Alex's other guest on this episode this whole thing might as well just be one
long attack on immigrants particularly those from Mexico that's what this
episode is great we've talked about Spencer in the past but it's been a
while so let me refresh your memory a little bit he's that total asshole who
founded a group called the American Border Patrol who essentially pretended
to be law enforcement guarding the border right right this was really the
vanguard of this type of activity since Glenn was doing that ship back in the
early 2000s flash forward to 2019 and you have militia members deputizing
themselves to guard the border and actually detaining immigrants Larry
Hopkins was arrested for being a felon in possession of a gun which he should
have been arrested for long prior since it stemmed from a 2017 raid this was in
2019 law enforcement just let him go for those period of time and he ended up
becoming the leader of a group called the United Constitutional Patriots who
engaged in a whole lot of kidnapping unlawful detaining and terrorizing of
migrants now he was a good boy you got to let him out what are you gonna hold
him on bail he's a good boy get him out there on the streets he was inspired in
no small part by Trump and Tucker and Alex's constant fear mongering about
the immigrant caravan set to blow up the southern border also his group's
former spokesman James Benvy left the UCP to start his own border militia
called the Guardian Patriots but then he was arrested and sent to prison for 21
months on two counts of impersonating a Border Patrol agent anyway the point is
in the how did they catch him in the present day we have a lot of right-wing
xenophobic shitheads who think they're entitled to cosplay as law enforcement
because they're white Glenn Spencer was one of the leaders in that world and
probably a hero to all the dum-dums out there today Glenn is also one of the
main proponents of the Astland conspiracy theory which Alex subscribes to
this isn't essentially the belief that Mexican immigration is an explicit plan
to take back over the Southwest states the SPLC quotes Spencer from a 2000
rally quote the dream of conquering Astland lies deep in the heart of the
Mexican psyche this explains why some are willing to risk death their goal is
more than jobs it is conquest they believe what they're doing is noble
they're defying the gringo to take back what is rightfully Mexico's to which
every Mexican in the world replied what the fuck are you talking about yeah if
you believe what Spencer promotes it's really hard to see how you could be so
against illegal immigration for this reason but somehow totally cool with
legal immigration it seems like just sloppily disguised white nationalism
if they if they migrate illegally then they'll take back their country but if
they migrate legally then they won't take back their country so in fact what
we should do is make it easier for them to migrate legally if your argument is
that if they migrate legally they won't take over the country well that's an
interesting argument and I'd like to see what you would have to say to that I
think he would say that we should just keep them all out right yeah also it
should be said that Glenn Spencer was also a fervent anti-Semite in 2008 he
posted an article on his blog titled quote speaking the unspeakable is ju is
ju controlled Hollywood brainwashing Americans speaking the unspeakable yet
has been spoken repeatedly for thousands of years the unspeakable that has been
repeated nonstop yeah yeah so in that article he argues that liberal Jews who
control Hollywood are trying to insert pro-immigrant propaganda into
everything they release so as to I guess make America less white I think that's
what he's saying and that's the unspeakable yes and it wasn't spoken at
any time before that obviously yeah right so at the end of the article he
includes a link to an essay titled understanding Jewish influence written by
Kevin McDonald McDonald is essentially a neo-nazi and if not that he's at least
the academic who most neo-nazis point to in order to defend their neo-nazi you're
an honorary neo-nazi that oh yeah from a SPLC article about McDonald and the three
books he wrote about Jewish people quote McDonald's basic premise is that Jews
engage in group evolutionary strategy that serves to enhance their ability to
outcompete non-Jews for resources although normally a tiny minority in
their host countries Jews like viruses destabilize their host societies to
their own benefit McDonald argues because this Jewish group behavior is
said to have produced much financial and intellectual success over the years
McDonald claims it has also produced understandable hatred for Jews by gentiles
that means that anti-Semitism rather than being an irrational hatred for Jews
is actually a logical reaction to Jewish success in other words the Nazis like
many other anti-Semites were only anti-Semitic because they were
countering a genuine Jewish threat to their well-being it's not their fault
holy shit so the fact that Spencer linked to McDonald's essay in this post is
what you might call a tell Spencer is against immigration but he also believes
that the Jews are the ones trying to bring in immigrants somehow as an
attack on the country and produce pro-immigrant propaganda in Hollywood and
all this sounds right I mean Spencer says as much as this stuff in his own
article quote I have many Jewish friends and they have been extremely
instrumental in fighting illegal immigration I fear however that this
small handful of patriotic Americans are far outnumbered by liberal Jews who
know have total control over our media wild anyway this anti-Semitic racist
xenophobic shithead who was the precursor to the modern militia dump
dumps pretending to be cops and patrolling the border is one of Alex's
favorite guests hey it's always nice to go back and see what the past was like
you know what a non-surprise what a you know it's always when you come full
circle you know it's there's a narrative satisfaction even if there's not an
emotional satisfaction mm-hmm mm-hmm wow yeah so Alex doesn't talk too much
about Iraq the war sure he's still against it well I mean yeah he believes
that there aren't weapons of mass destruction which good on him yeah fair
but he does have some interesting takes okay that that I enjoyed and I looked
into a little bit all right kind of fun all right they reported the BBC about two
months ago that Tariq Aziz the Iraqi Foreign Minister was to be paid upwards
of four and a half million dollars a year was almost three million pounds a
year's over four million us and that he was going to live on a hundred plus
thousand acre palace of Prince Charles and was to be given armed bodyguards
helicopter escort into the shopping centers into London I mean a lavish
lifestyle quote if he would inform on Saddam's weapons of mass destruction now
I don't know where that story went where is true Tariq Aziz we hear no
discussions of him now they admit they paid off Iraqi Republican guard leaders
before the war in gold bars gold bars gold bars so real quick that question
about Tariq Aziz I can answer that very easily share he was actually also not
the foreign minister at this point that was a position he held from 1983 to 1991
at the time of the invasion he was actually the deputy prime minister
correct yeah it's pretty important dude so this episode that we're listening to
is from June 27th 2003 and Alex is asking where is Tariq Aziz as if to
imply that he's somewhere enjoying his life or he's on a tropical beach
somewhere no no no he was captured on April 24th 2003 and held in Camp
Cropper in Baghdad sure he would remain in custody until June 2015 when he
died of a heart attack so Alex is super wrong about this one good that they let
him free after the heart attack yes yeah I've heard Alex say that the Iraqi
Republican guard was paid off with gold bars a bunch of times and I just kind of
ignored it because I look this is stupid but this time I wanted to dig in and see
where if I could figure out where this idea came from and I think I did okay
apparently in 2003 some US soldiers in Iraq detained three people that they
stopped in a car that they felt might have been heading towards the Iranian
border their probable cause to search them was that quote the driver's paperwork
and ID didn't match the vehicle registration in the bed of the truck the
soldiers found 999 bars of quote crudely made non-minted gold bars that they
estimated were worth between 80 and a hundred million dollars nice good work
guys obviously this is weird but to make things even stranger quote two days
earlier soldiers stopped another Mercedes dump truck on its way towards the
Syrian border hauling a load of 2,000 gold bars that looked very similar to
the ones seized on Monday then in June another truck with 1183 ingots that were
suspected to be gold were intercepted by soldiers at a routine checkpoint whoo
whoo this is very exciting stuff so these would definitely not be gold bars
that were used to pay someone off because there's an article in the
Chicago Tribune about this that said quote these bars aren't pure like the
bouillon found it Fort Knox but crudely melted bricks of jewelry so yeah so it's
most likely that there are all a bunch of rich people trying to smelt down their
bullshit as they flee the country well the leading theory as of June was that
the gold was the gold that Saddam Hussein had encouraged Iraqi citizens to
donate for his war effort against Iran quote rich businessmen many Iraqis
were called were expected to cough up three to five pounds of gold or face a
visit from Hussein's goon squads the speculation was that this was a
sophisticated and organized group plundering the wealth that Saddam had
hoarded that's kind of exciting you know that's a that's fun yeah by August
however there had been some analyses on the gold bars and it turned out that
they weren't actually gold it just looked like it sure from a New York Times
article quote gold colored bars seized by American troops in Iraq appear to be
melted down shell casings made mostly of copper rather than gold all right okay
it was mostly copper and it was mostly copper and zinc okay yeah if Alex had
another source on the story I'm happy to check it out but it seems like it's
almost certain that this real-life story is the one that he is distorted into
being about globalists paying off back party officials and Republican guard with
bars and it's not like we it's not like the United States didn't pay a shit ton
of money and then lose it and never find out where it went or if they did they
didn't tell anybody that would stop them fair enough that's true but not the
gold bar yeah exactly not the claim we're assessing no no no totally it's
it's believable that they lose a shit ton of money for corrupt purposes but
it's not this yeah Alex has calls at this point because Glenn Spencer is gonna
be in a little bit he takes a call and this guy is a complete weirdo and Alex
jumps in to some very inaccurate JFK conspirators I believe this might sound
a little crazy to you but I believe that President Kennedy was kind of directed
by God when he protected the world pretty much from destruction during the
Cuban Missile Crisis and I just like to say that I feel in a way that you're
kind of the same way by trying to bring out that's a leak happening to the
people that you're being directed by God in the same way to try and save the
world essentially well I don't know and I just like to say that to you it's great
yeah that's very sure what I was gonna talk about let me just make a comment
on that and then I'll let you go on okay I don't look but I'm not special
President Kennedy wasn't special we're all led by God in our lives yes because
God was through people yes this is a test this is just a this is the junior
varsity the the the the minor leagues here before we go on to you know join the
big team but and let me add something Kennedy for all his corruption and his
womanizing and all the rest of it changed his ways at the end woke up gave
speeches and American University in other areas I have copies of them I have
texts from the National Archives Library of Congress I love video this move I
can find it I know it exists where he warned of a great corrupt influence that
had taken over our government Eisenhower warned of the military industrial
complex and Kennedy was a hawk he was pro-war pro CIA pro all this stuff and
then suddenly he cut taxes said I'm abolishing the fellow reserve I'm
getting us out of the get down I'm gonna scatter the CIA to the forewinds he
wouldn't go along with nuclear war he said no to the Northwoods plan the US
government plan to kill American citizens and blame it on foreign enemies
when he saw Northwoods in 62 that's when his whole outlook changed and they
assassinated him six months later this is a fun story that Alex is telling about
JFK but nice yarn disconnected from history yeah all of it so one of the
things that Alex is doing here is that he's intentionally fudging the timeline
of events in order to create the appearance that things are more
connected than they are sure operation Northwoods was crafted and presented to
JFK Secretary of State Robert McNamara on March 13th 1962 who then briefed
President Kennedy Alex is claiming that six months later Kennedy was
assassinated but that didn't happen until November 1963 you know it wouldn't
sound as compelling if it's like he saw Northwoods and then a year and a half
later he was assassinated yeah that's a little bit disconnected you compress that
timeline and you make it very much more suspicious make it sounds more like
causality sure sure sure Alex wants these things to feel closer in time in the
audience's mind because that makes it feel like they're connected or even like
one led to the other it's a rhetorical trick and it's a lie as for the other
stuff most of that's not true either whatever you might say about JFK one
thing you cannot deny is that he was promoting globalism right up to the end
on June 10th 1963 a few months before he was assassinated Kennedy gave a speech
at commencement for American University which is what Alex is referring to and
it's very easy to find that video if Alex would just look for it the speech
was about the hope for reaching world peace here's a little passage quote some
say that it is useless to speak of peace or world law or world disarmament and
that it will be useless until the leaders of the Soviet Union adopt a more
enlightened attitude I hope they do I believe we can help them do it JFK
supported world law which necessitates a collective body that can enforce that
law like the UN wait wait is that why they killed him
speaking of the UN later in that speech he says quote we seek to strengthen the
United Nations to help solve its financial problems to make it a more
effective instrument for peace to develop it into a genuine world security
system a system capable of resolving disputes on the basis of law seems like
exactly the sort of thing that Alex's version of him wouldn't say okay okay
let's throw this one out there all right Patriots murder JFK to keep the
globalists from taking over interesting now Alex is running interference to make
it look like it was the globalists all along when in reality it was the Patriots
sure I'll go for that I'm is it was actually Timothy McVeigh to on September
20th 1963 even more close to the date of his assassination JFK gave an address
before the General Assembly of the UN I don't think Alex would love the
sentiment that was expressed in this speech quote the fact remains that the
United States as a major nuclear power does have a special responsibility in
the world it is in fact a three-fold responsibility a responsibility to our
own citizens a responsibility to the people of the world who are affected by
our decisions and to the next generation of humanity Alex doesn't think that we
have responsibilities to the rest of the world whether or not they've been
affected by our decisions like one of his heroes was Ron Paul and his big thing
like one of them was eliminating literally all foreign aid the fucking
slogan is America first yeah Jesus in that speech from two months before he
was assassinated Kennedy talks with the UN about how essential international
cooperation is to facing the problems of the day and he brags about forming the
Peace Corps out hey now he ends his talk with a list of things he'd like to see
in the world that Alex could make conspiracies up about all day quote a
world center for health communications under the World Health Organization
could warn of epidemics and the adverse effects of certain drugs as well as
transmit the results of new experiments at new discoveries and eventually my
good buddy Bill Clinton will become Secretary-General of the UN you could
like think about Alex would be like oh my god yeah totally this one quote a
global system of satellites could provide communications and weather
information for all corners of the earth and I'm sure that Alex would say that
that's a spy system that Satan would use to track you totally a spy system
that Satan would use to track now obviously have essentially that right
now and it works great or we have quote a worldwide program of conservation
could protect the forest and wild game preserves now in danger of extinction
for all time Alex believes a conservationism is a globalist plot to
destroy the beautiful coal and natural gas industries our country will be
destabilized by a power shortage Alex loves bulls who's destroying the
Amazon rainforest he's being they're trying to prosecute him for fucking
crimes against humanity for destroying the rainforest yeah Alex would be really
disappointed to see JFK on this side of the fence yeah and he would really hate
this one quote we are opposed to apartheid and all forms of human
oppression like Alex doesn't like the you know apartheid totally a racist
system but opposition to it is a communist plot or at least that's what
him and all his predecessors in the John Birch Society sure sure we don't like
the racism of apartheid right we just hate that it's the communists trying to
end apartheid right if the capitalists were trying to end apartheid now
obviously they're benefiting from it and greatly enjoying it so they're gonna keep
doing it but it's the communists that we don't like come on anyway the JFK that
Alex believes existed is a fabrication based on dumb conspiracy books that he
read as a youth and not based in reality the speech that he gave that
included the line about secret societies which is what Alex is trying to
conflate with this American University speech sure that speech that included
the line about secret societies was from April 1961 so it's quite a while
before the relevant time period that Alex is talking about but it's one of the
big pieces of evidence that always gets thrown around like every single
conspiracy documentary includes that line sure about him's mentioning secret
I mean you mentioned secret societies once you know it's never gonna not be
there yeah so Alex is trying to present the JFK heard about Northwood's tried
to warn people and then he got killed and he's just mixing up the American
University speech because it fits better in his timeline right all bullshit right
right also it's really important to point out that that speech from 1961 from
the one that secret society speech that's hugely misrepresented by conspiracy
theorists why here's the passage that they always use quote the very word
secrecy is repugnant and a free and open society and we are as a people
inherently and historically opposed to secret societies to secret oaths and to
secret proceedings we decided long ago that the dangers of excessive and
unwarranted concealment of pertinent facts far outweighed the dangers which
are cited to justify it and that's why I fucked Joe DiMaggio's wife so that
naturally is used to imply that this speech was a screed and a warning about
secrets forces at work behind the scenes like Alex is presenting this of
course doing repugnant things but that's not true this passage was JFK
softening things up before he asked for increased secrecy from the press regarding
official matters here's what comes just after that whole secrecy thing you see
in just about every conspiracy documentary quote no official of my
administration whether his rank is high or low civilian or military should
interpret my words here tonight as an excuse to censor the news to stifle
dissent or cover up our mistakes or to withhold from the press and the public
the facts that they deserve to know but it is late that is what we're trying to
do but I do ask every publisher every editor and every newsman in the nation
to reexamine his own standards and to recognize the nature of our country's
peril in time of war the government and the press have customarily joined in an
effort based largely on self-discipline to prevent unauthorized disclosures to
the enemy in time of clear and present danger the courts have held that even
the privileged rights of the First Amendment must yield to the public's
need for national security today no war has been declared and however fierce
the struggle may be it may never be declared in the traditional fashion our
way of life is under attack those who make themselves our enemy are advancing
around the globe the survival of our friends is in danger and yet no war has
been declared no borders have been crossed by marching troops no missiles
have been fired if the press is awaiting a declaration of war before it
imposes the self-discipline of combat conditions then I can only say that no
war ever posed a greater threat to our security if you're awaiting a finding of
a clear and present danger then I can only say that the danger has never been
more clear and its presence has never been more imminent he's saying in this
speech that hey look we all hate secrecy but you guys are gonna have to stop
reporting some stuff because we're in danger because the Soviet Union listen
listen listen listen you don't want to you don't want to erode public trust in
our institutions right that would be that would really fuck us up see one of
the things I think is remarkable is that context is almost always missing from
the conversations about like oh yeah JFK gave these speeches about secret
society sure sure no no no no just because he is the word secret society
doesn't mean that the point of this wasn't exactly the opposite of what
right these people try to present it at right but the point will always just be
that if you say secret societies regardless of the context of it we can
say that you were signaling right regardless of whether or not they're
good people exactly by saying those words you were giving a code that people
need to unravel sure and then you're fucked JFK was not planning to abolish
the Federal Reserve and his proposed luring of taxes wasn't completed by
the time of his death but it was seen through and eventually signed by LBJ in
1964 also the quote about scattering the CIA to the winds is almost certainly not
a real quote it didn't appear in print until 1966 and it was attributed to an
anonymous source and that was three years after his death there's no corroborating
evidence that it was a position he had or that they ever said that he was
definitely upset with the CIA after the Bay of Pigs that's true but the quote
about scattering them to the wind is one that is very dubious sourcing unlikely
yeah yeah so yeah I don't know Alex should know more about JFK and he
doesn't seem to know anything it's really hard to know stuff about history I
think whenever people confidently assert that they know something about a time
period from the past they are almost always wrong because just in order to
know something happened you need like a PhD level thesis on it and I think I
think that Alex is invested in lore and fun stories totally and so why would you
threaten your ability to live in a fun world yeah full of myths and lore true
true when the reality of things is complicated and there's details and I
mean people really want to believe that there's a Loch Ness monster you know
why there is moving on fair point Alex so this is this is something that I
really love when it happens when you can really tell like so earlier in the
episode John Andrews told a secondhand story that he heard from Steve King
about a teacher in Des Moines trying to colonize America on behalf of I can't be
racist let me tell you this story I heard from Steve King right so we heard
that now here's Alex re-bringing it up and embellishing it later in the last
hour at Colorado Senate President John Andrews on he talked about how another
Congress from from Iowa has been at town hall meetings and has talked to
witnesses and has talked to community leaders who say this is Mexico and we're
getting rid of America and that's just the way it is so Mexico has been so
arrogant so wait so it's so now Mexico the entire country they're in on it the
government of Mexico yeah fucking okay all right and you see Santa Anna's coming
back is what we're saying here yeah gotcha well Alex will later when he's
talking to Glenn Spencer like it so he was living in California and agitating
against immigration and he decided that California was a lost cause sure Arizona
and Alex does say he moved his Alamo so Santa Anna might be in place Santa Anna
the ghost of Santa Anna is definitely involved here but you can see how Alex
lies like the story that John Andrews was telling was a lie itself right so the
stakes of maintaining the honesty of it are kind of low doesn't matter Alex has
now added multiple people who are saying that Mexico team if the Mexican
government is involved the Consulate is putting out the ideas just to generate
the whole idea Steve King had multiple people community leaders in fact who
have come up and told him hey we're taking it back we're taking Iowa I I like
a good I like a good you can trace it back and even then the story still a
lie you know yeah it's it's riddled with so many lies that when you trace it back
to its source you're just disappointed yeah there isn't even anything fun or
interesting there you're just like oh he's lying off of an even another racist
yeah Steve King made up a racist lie he John Andrews heard it he told it to Alex
and now Alex is embellishing on it it's it's ridiculous and like look even if
you're on the right wouldn't you it shouldn't somebody telling you a story
that is so perfectly tailored to your hatreds shouldn't that give you a little
signal of like maybe this isn't a good if I know anything from looking at a lot
of this conspiracy stuff that exists online and seeing how information is
processed I don't think that a lot of people in these worlds understand the
notion of too good to be true I think yeah that is that is a foreign idea the
more perfectly tailored it is the more perfectly believable it fits perfectly
into what I would expect then I don't even need to think about right and
especially when it's presented in meme form so it's like super easily digestible
that's too it's too good to be true it's gotta be true yeah you know if it
conforms so perfectly to your worst nightmare maybe it's just a dream yeah
so Alex has this glowing inner this introduction for Glenn Spencer
appreciate Glenn Spencer holding and coming up we'll get to Ron and Spencer
and others that are holding it right now Glenn Spencer of American Patrol calm
the organization American Border Patrol and they stand up against the racist
Hispanic Ku Klux Klan of Mecha and La Raza they have Hispanic members black
members you name it a lot of my friends are members right here in Austin Texas
what they stand up with 80 plus percent of American people for controlling our
borders and our sovereignty Glenn Spencer told us it was a war to take over our
sovereignty years ago that Washington was aiding and funding this along with
President Bush and the Democrats he's been totally vindicated totally
vindicated yeah so Alex has buddies who are in Glenn Spencer's pretend fun
let's act like cops game that's great yeah that's great a lot of good people in
there a lot of good people just think hey you know what I need to go get a gun
because an imaginary line will make me feel better yep cool I think that also
this introduces some dynamics for the interview that make it not very meaningful
hmm are you sure it doesn't start off very adversarial now I don't know how
much truth we're gonna get to so he has some phone problems Glenn and one of the
phone problems happens just after I don't think that this is like intentional
at all sure but one could if they were into conspiracies try and pitch the
idea that Glenn is talking about all the other media that has had him on and
then his phone mysteriously goes out and of course we were on with Michael
Savage also on the MSNBC we were on CNN the other night with Blitzer had again
live pictures of our you think we just lost Glenn's cell phone bad connection
we'll try to reconnect and get the Glenn Spencer back on and you notice the
neocons will talk about some of the real issues and have good folks like Glenn
Spencer on but in the end equation they don't put the heat on Lord Bush who
could stop all this basically instantaneously that's interesting because
Alex's premise seems to generally be that these people won't have folks like
Glenn Spencer on but now Glenn is on the show and he's saying that I was on with
Michael Savage who Alex has said is a dirty neocon beatnik I'll sure they'll
have them on some time right right right right right but they won't put the
heat on but what does that mean they won't put the heat on Lord Bush what
meaningful heat is Alex putting on Bush that other people aren't I mean all of
the heat what is so hot what does that mean it's so much heat that he's putting
on Lord Bush I want to know in concrete other places are not putting as much
heat a lot of them are chilly okay some places they cook at 450 degrees and other
places is 375 they're not putting that much heat I find this to be it sounds
like Alex scrambling it's almost convenient that the phone cut it cuts
out there but I again I'm not saying I'm not saying that one of the producers
hung up on him or sure but it's just man he needed to save and he got an
opportunity to make the save yeah but it still doesn't make a lot of sense I
mean the speed with which he said we got cut off normally he waits just a little
bit longer no no no no no no no no no no no now if you heard a speech that he
gave just a few months before this no all right calm down okay so Glenn gets his
phone back working and he has said that if you hear a bing bong bing bong sound
effect in the background that is the alarm that one of his sensors has picked
up in illegal crossing the border he has a bunch of sensors put up around the
got a bunch of sensors on the border and apparently some drones that take
pictures of people really Jesus Christ get a good join a bowling league yeah
you can only do so much in the world of bowling you pull a perfect game and what
else are you gonna do well I mean you got to protect the borders yeah obviously
you know you don't want any gutter balls right yeah right so there's one thing
that I do applaud Glenn for and that lay out in this clip after his alarm goes
off okay Glenn good to have you back on sorry we got disconnected I don't know
where we work as I was on a monologue no well you were making a lot of good
points is what you were doing but Glenn now just a second did you hear that yeah
okay that that is our sensor going off okay this is right down by the San Pedro
River coming into Arizona we just picked up five people you just heard it five
people five people why sensors are computerized and we count them you just
heard it yes I I did and we it flashes up on a computer screen it gives the
exact location and an exact number of people and now on national TV you've
had your grunts now we're not fleet we're not sitting this out right yet no
until we get all of our testing done I'm talking about right here but we will
eventually now but we will not do this we will not give the actual locations up
on the internet and there's a reason for that these people are attacked murdered
and robbed by Mexican bandits no matter where they are and if we showed them
where they were they would be subject to attack not by Americans oh by their own
country okay okay sure yeah so look look whatever he needs to tell himself to
not publicize that information fine if he needs to tell himself that it's Mexican
bandits that are the that are the risk to telling where the locations of these
migrants are fine fine cuz the at the end of the day the that information isn't
going to these weirdo fucking right-wing militias who think that our country is
being invaded so good keep that fucking information to yourself wild wild we
don't listen listen listen I don't want banditos hurting these people okay I
want me and my buddies to know that his buddies would never they would never
even think about we wouldn't hurt anybody we want to protect them from the
banditos right you know and that's why we carry the guns in case we get into a
bandit fight right and and there's a stagecoach and we got a there we're
gonna fight on top of it and then we'll save the immigrants and safely move
them on the other end of the real great safely but forcefully with a little bit
of a bayonet also I would argue that the general directions that he gave
were such that someone might be able to so easy to find I think he might have
undercut his own point I do like whenever the overconfidence of they'll
never find this comes out I love to the beginning of his interview he does say
that if you hear that bing bong bing bong go off that it's my trap getting
and then miraculously in the middle of the so weird so weird so it's so it's
such great timing and it's like it's exactly what you would want to do is
create an alarm that goes off yeah instead of just some sort of an alert or
something you would want a weird noise it's gotta be it's gotta be the bat
signal it's gotta be over oh it's gotta be overdone overwritten there's there's
a bing for each individual that crosses them oh my god so anyway we have one
last clip here and it's Glenn talking about a plan that he has you know you
don't need a driver's license anymore you get into an accident you know what
we're gonna start doing we're gonna start up printing up counselor matricula
consular cards for anybody who wants to log on to our website you might want to
do it too just charge them 15 bucks and you print it up and send it to them and
when they get stopped by the cops just hate it to him you know it doesn't work
as a driver's license no so and also I I gotta think that if you did do this you
might get in international trouble yeah no that would be a bad idea like if he
is actually gonna sell consular I be totally consular I know that's that's
against the law that's fraud that's fraud that might be a giant crime that's a
serious problem yeah I would advise him not to do this I also don't think he was
doing this I think he's talking shit I think what's funny about it is that if
it were to go down the way that he wants it to go where everybody does this to
subvert the system what we would find out is that everything would be fine
thereby disproving his whole this is a problem argument right you know like this
that's possible it's a bluff these people are just they're just they're just
mad that other people have rights I don't I don't like it back in my day when
I was young I didn't have to deal with other people having rights and I feel
like that was a better system for me so let's keep it yeah so like I said that
was the last clip and here's the honest to God truth there's another hour of the
show and Alex says he's gonna take calls but I can't find that last hour of the
show hmm yes okay yeah the place where I have found all these episodes from I it
doesn't have the third hour and so we only have these two two hours of the
show interesting now I think they're probably just boring calls or something I
don't I don't know if there's anything nefarious in that absence of this this
I don't know I think we should speculate wildly yeah but the the amount of like
stuff about JFK and the bars of gold and and stuff I figured like even without
whatever dumb calls he takes in the third hour I'm I'm satisfied with what
we've learned today I like a good JFK conspiracy there's there's never a bad
time to tell me lies about JFK what's fun too about this is it was a a sort of
scattershot JFK no it was all over the place no depth to anything but all over
like why have any depth sure all every time you go into depth with JFK's
conspiracies you just find out something that disproves it my man just yell
Northwood yeah so I enjoyed going back to the past a little bit and I think that
I've been reinvigorated and I feel like back on track whoo I like it yeah but
we will be back Jordan on our next episode indeed we will tell them we have
a website we do it's knowledge right comm yep we're also on Twitter we are on
Twitter it's add knowledge underscore fight and I go to bed Jordan yep we will
be back but until then I'm Neo I'm Leo I'm DZX Clark I'm Daryl Rundis and now
here comes the sex robots Andy and Kansas you're on the air thanks for
calling well Alex I'm a first-time caller I'm a huge fan I love your work I
love you
