I'm sick of them posing as if they're the good guys saying we are the bad guys. It's time to pray. I have great respect for knowledge fight. Knowledge fight.
I'm sick of them posing as if they're the good guys saying we are the bad guys.
Knowledge fight.
Dan and Jordan.
Knowledge fight.
I need, I need money.
Andy and Kansas.
Andy and, Andy and, stop it.
Andy and, Andy and Kansas.
Andy and, Andy and, it's time to pray.
Andy and Kansas, you're on the air, thanks for holding me.
Hello Andy.
Andy and Kansas.
Andy and Kansas.
Andy and Kansas.
Andy and Kansas.
Andy and Kansas.
Andy and Kansas. Andy and Kansas. Andy and Kansas, I'm Dan. I'm Jordan. We're a couple dudes
like to sit around, worship at the altar of Selene,
and talk a little bit about Alex Jones.
Oh, indeed we are, Dan.
Jordan.
Dan.
Jordan.
I have a quick question for you.
What's up?
What's your bright spot today, buddy?
My bright spot today, I guess, actually,
it's kind of like a ha ha bright spot,
as opposed to a, I don't actually know
if it's great or anything,
but I finished the UK second season of Traders.
Sure, sure.
And I immediately realized that there's UK second season of Traders. Sure, sure.
And I immediately realized that there's a second season of the Australian one.
And so that's my bright spot, is that that exists.
And then I also saw that there's a season of, they're doing one from New Zealand.
Oh, alright, alright.
So there's more Traders than I thought that exists.
So that's there for me.
Yeah, it feels like they're on the Taskmaster scale
of just being like, hey, listen, this worked.
Let's put it everywhere that people speak English.
Let's do UK, let's do Australia, New Zealand.
Everywhere.
And I did see on the New Zealand,
or the Australia season, they have a guy named Luke,
who was on Australian Survivor.
Okay.
So I'm excited about that,
because that guy was pretty fun
All right, he's on a couple seasons. They don't have King George. No, they should have gotten King George King George
He's the guy from
Australian Survivor who's a complete lunatic. Hmm
he's a
Don't even know how to describe him in the first season. He's just the that he's on he's
One of the weirdest survivor players I've ever seen.
Okay.
And then he comes back and he has a tattoo
of an immunity idol on his chest.
All right, all right.
He's gotten, he's very into his position
as King George of Survivor.
It feels like maybe he's got that one on lockdown, yeah.
Yeah, he's a lot of fun.
I would have liked to see him on
immunity idol on the chest Where would you put it? I would do it. I would think shoulder you know I would think so maybe
Maybe a cat always wear the immunity necklace though. Oh, it's a necklace
Okay, I didn't know it was usually a necklace. I never wear the I never watched the survivors
I don't know about that. It's not a not a bracelet, otherwise tattoo'd be on the arm.
Sure, naturally, naturally, I get that.
I thought an idol was something you held, like an Oscar statue.
Yeah.
I like Luke from Australian Survivor, but there's at least five people I think that
I would have chosen before him.
As like chaotic energies.
But he's good.
Anyway.
No?
Alright.
I understand that there's another season of Australian Survivor too and I can't find it
so.
Oh no.
I'm a bit behind on that but yeah I guess my bright spot is foreign TV.
Yeah yeah yeah.
Mostly Australian and New Zealand based TV.
It's always nice to watch TV from other countries.
I appreciate it because there is a certain level of like with our
American culture and how it is so oppressively pushed out everywhere else. You can get the idea that people have a homogenized
You know media landscape
Whereas you know you can you find stuff in other countries that you can't find elsewhere like in Germany There's a show where they like if you can cut this perfectly in half
You win. That's a great show sure
There is a little bit of that those quirks, but also you know when you're complaining about the homogeneity
We're are we are talking about the show that was licensed into other countries to be the exact same thing
Yeah, elsewhere. Yes, maybe it is an example of the exact opposite of anyway. What's your rights?
Oh, I don't know I like that the Australian traders takes place in a different house and a hotel. Yeah, yeah, it seems very
Yeah, and that they use silver instead of exactly it makes it's confusing. Yeah
Especially since Australia is known for its gold deposit
Anyways their bread spot. Oh my bright spot is that I'm catching up on new music
Okay, it's been a while. You know the the whole all lost all my music reserves thing
So now I'm getting back at it getting back to the new stuff
Catching up with all the 2024 releases all that stuff. Uh, let me tell you something no name
Mm-hmm. That's all you need to know. Okay, I mean, I mean she's amazing. Okay, that's the second thing you need to know no name mm-hmm that's all you need to know okay I mean she's amazing
okay that's the second thing you need to know no name amazing she's amazing okay
Chicago rapper you should also know that sure but more poet
you need to know yeah you gotta know that okay she's pretty important I've
heard of her before yeah she's great, she's great. Yeah, yeah. Her most recent album, fucking incredible.
Came out this year?
I don't even remember, I don't know,
because my hard drive and all that stuff,
so I've just been catching up on all the stuff
that I haven't been able to get to.
So I don't even know if it's this year.
I feel like it's this year or late last year.
Okay.
One or the other.
Can I tell you about a hot new band?
Yes, you can.
Newfound Glory? No you cannot!
That is oldfound glory. It is. Less glorious. So Jordan, today we have an episode to go
over and we're going to be in the past, but there's plot twists. Okay. And we'll get to
that here in a moment. The past is the present. In some ways. Okay. But we'll get down to
business on this but before we do, let's say hello to some new walks
That's a great idea. So first Jeff Newberry recommended knowledge fight it now. This is all I do. Thank you so much
You're now policy walk. I'm a policy walk
Thank you very much. Thank you next we call that a Donald J. Trump of crimes also Rosie is a butt
Thank you so much. You're now policy walk. I'm a policy walk. Thank you very much
Thank you next cannibal gang barbecue leader Lord barbecue aka King barbecue. Thank you so much. Thank you. Next, Cannibal Gang Barbecue Leader, Lord Barbecue, aka King Barbecue.
Thank you so much.
You are now a policy wonk.
I'm a policy wonk.
Thank you very much.
Thank you.
Next, Brian T. The BT Robot.
Thank you so much.
You are now a policy wonk.
I'm a policy wonk.
Thank you very much.
And we've got a technocrat in the mix, Jordan.
So thank you so much to a couple who literally met because of your podcast, Kim and Connor.
Congratulations on getting married.
Thank you so much.
You are now a technocrat. I'm a a policy wonk I have risen above my enemies I might quit tomorrow
actually I'm just gonna take a little break you know a little breaky for me and then we're
going to come back and I'm gonna start the show over. But I'm the devil, I gotta be taking off here,
I'm doing all this blablabla.
Fuck you!
Fuck you!
I got plenty of words for you,
but at the end of the day,
fuck you and your New World Order
and fuck the horse you rode in on
and all your shit.
Maybe today should be my last broadcast.
Maybe I'll just be gone a month, maybe five years.
Maybe I'll walk out of here tomorrow,
and you never see me again.
That's really what I wanna do.
I never wanna come back here again.
I apologize to the crew and the listeners yesterday
that I was legitimately having breakdowns on air.
I'll be better tomorrow.
Nah, never.
So I told you we're in the past, but there's a twist.
Yes.
Also congratulations to the couple on their marriage
So we've been in 2004 and we've been seeing the path that Alex is taking through
the capture of Saddam Hussein the insistence that
There's going to be the bath party is putting being put back in power
The whole thing and nothing that was evolving no and I got to a point where I'm listening to a bunch of episodes in a row and there's just
nothing happening.
It is a dead zone and I lost all interest in 2004.
I don't think that the Bath Party being put back in power is evolving in any meaningful
way.
I think he's at this point pretty much forgotten that that was the storyline he was telling yeah
And I just I don't see a whole lot happening. We had that massive brain chip guy interview
Yeah, and that felt like this is gonna be like revolutionary. This is gonna
Become the next
Great season of content should and that's just kind of disappointing And so I found myself in a position where I had a past dangling thread that sucked and
then we have the present day that sucks.
And so I made an executive decision and that is I'm done with 2004 for the present.
Good call.
For the present time I'm going to put that part to bed where there may still be plenty
more to learn deep in those hills.
Sure.
Keep digging.
Sure.
But I decided that our time, especially as we shift focus off the present day, is better
used in another place.
And I think that a lot of the fertile lessons and things we can learn have come from going back to
look at major events and stuff like the Boston bombing and Sandy Hook shooting. And so I
thought there's one thing that immediately popped to mind.
Let me ask you a question. Yeah. All right. Have has is this a tie in with X-Men 97? Have
you finally caved to the pressure of big business are we going back to 1997?
I wish I mean if I had Alex's shows from 97 I'd love to hear what he was up to then
That would be fun. Yeah, no I do not okay, though
Gambit does make an appearance. Oh, I knew it in this well
I actually meant that as a joke, but this does have to do with Louisiana
Yeah, kind of
Well, we are always going down to the bayou.
Yes.
Sorry, apologies for interrupting.
No problem.
You had to get that plug in for...
Had to get it in there.
Had to get it in there.
Trying to cut in.
So, I feel like I wanted to find another event and something major that we haven't actually
covered and we don't know exactly what Alex's actions were like
Like, you know, I think a lot of people have a general sense of what Alex was up to with January 6th
Sure, but a lot of the times you don't know what was happening on the show on that day. Yes
Good, you know, and I think that there's value in going back and observing these things
And one of the largest things that I could think of that is like that is Hurricane Katrina. I know that Alex eventually uses it as like, there's
gun grabbing and all that stuff going on. But we haven't listened to any of Alex's coverage
during the time of the hurricane and the immediate aftermath of that. So I decided we're gonna jump to 2005
and check in on Alex's coverage of Hurricane Katrina
as it happens, as things unfold.
I swear to God, if Joe Rogan shows up
on the day of Hurricane Katrina, I'm gonna be furious.
You're fine.
Okay, thank you.
You're fine.
Jesus Christ, that still makes me angry.
It still, yeah.
Paul Joseph Watson does, but no Rogan. Okay, thank you. You're fine. Jesus Christ. That still makes me angry. It's still Joseph Watson does but no
Yeah, no Rogan. Okay good, but we don't know but I mean to be fair. It's a multi-day effect
Yeah, that's a good no
So Rogan could show up at some part if those two are behind every horrible incident
I'm gonna be furious or at least they have some kind of a yeah
Yeah, some sort of an overlapped Gump ass showing up at the wrong times.
Sure, sure.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
You ever read Forrest Gump 2?
Gump and Company?
You ever read Forrest Gump 2?
Is that a book?
Yeah!
Forrest Gump 2 is a book?
Yeah, yeah.
I did not know that.
Yeah.
It does a bunch more shit.
What does he do?
I only have brought this fresh to my memory because I was reading some stuff about the Exxon Valdez
because of the book crash. The other recent episode. It jogged my memory because I read
something about how in the second Forrest Gump book he causes the Exxon Valdez crash.
That is amazing.
Yeah. There's a bunch more like historical things that he gets...
It's a little bit more tackily done.
I like the idea of just putting every major incident is just Mr. Magoo behind the problem.
I like that.
Yeah, yeah.
That's kind of what Gump and Company is.
Yeah, yeah, that makes sense.
But anyway...
Gump and E? Anyway company so the hurricane Katrina
It made initial contact in Florida on the 25th of August
Yes, and so goes through Florida and then into the Gulf of Mexico and hits, Louisiana
but
My plans kind of got foiled a tiny bit and that is because I wanted to get a little bit of the coverage prior
To the hurricane that's where I wanted to start sure sure I wanted to see how much was Alex talking about this right was this
Potentially a emergency drill situation right you know he'll do things like that right right
He'll try and make the most out of something like we see with the eclipse now
You know you see him doing a lot of preparation for Right, right, right. He'll try and make the most out of something like we see with the eclipse now.
You see him doing a lot of preparation for what he can get out of a scenario.
Yeah, yeah.
He's like a caveman.
It's like if you can predict something in advance, then you're the witch who caused
it.
Or if you know enough about something that's going to happen, you can lay track.
Sure.
So no matter what happens, when that thing happens,
you can incorporate it into the path that you're on.
And you do see him do that a bit.
And unfortunately, in August 2005,
Alex has taken a vacation.
And so he is out of studio the entire week prior
to during the initial Florida aspect of Hurricane Katrina.
And so he doesn't show back up until the twenty ninth son of a
bitch
so he he comes into studio on monday the twenty ninth yes and that's where we
will begin because
the rest of it is re-broadcasts of the prior weeks
so we start and alex does uh... we have a story about the hurricane right off the back.
Okay.
U.S. oil surges $4 to record price above $70 a barrel because of the hurricane that has missed New Orleans predominantly.
There is some flooding going on, but no deaths, thank God, being reported.
But there would have been a direct hit on the city.
We are looking at total flooding and billions of dollars of damage.
But just like the bullet day dogs last year, this Category 5 hurricane slowed down to Category
4 as it went on land and the main force of the storm, the 145 mile an hour winds, missed
most of the city of New Orleans down there in Sin City Central.
So as Alex begins the show here on the 29th, you can tell he has the tone of a near miss
in terms of how he's covering the hurricane and he's not wildly wrong to be striking that
posture.
At this point in time, with the information Alex could likely have access to, it feels
like things could have been a lot worse, and that's the information that's being put forth.
So it seems striking because we know what is happening, We know the horror. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
But for him, he's not minimizing this in any kind of a...
Right.
It's just information coming out of this region is such that this is a reasonable response
to have.
Yeah.
And it's awesome.
That would be an awesome outcome.
Unfortunately.
Unfortunately, we did not live that.
So on August 25th, Katrina had hit Florida as a Category 1 hurricane.
Though the hurricane killed nine people in this landfall, once it made it to the Gulf
of Mexico and was headed towards Louisiana, it began to pick up steam and eventually grew
to a Category 5 storm.
On the evening of the 27th, New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin began encouraging voluntary evacuation,
which would become mandatory the next morning.
Forecasts put it at almost even odds that the storm would make a direct hit on the city,
so when Alex discusses things like a bullet being dodged, he's operating from the place
where that was the worst possible outcome, and when Katrina didn't hit New Orleans
directly, it felt like the worst case scenario didn't happen and there was some cause for
relief.
Unfortunately, and possibly unbeknownst to Alex in this moment, just prior to him going
on air, multiple levees had failed to clonk canals in the city and much of New Orleans
was under feet of water.
It's plausible to believe that Alex wouldn't have gotten this information by the time his
show is starting, but as he's on air, this is a situation that is unfolding in real time
and the notion of a bullet being dodged will look more and more naively optimistic.
Oil prices did go up as a result of the hurricane, much of which was the natural consequence
of damage being done to oil refineries and other facilities in the Gulf of Mexico.
The Federal Trade Commission released a report on allegations of price gouging related to
gasoline during the storm and found that there was no evidence of illegal market manipulations, but they also assessed financial information from a
slew of refiners, wholesalers, and retailers, and found that 15 such entities of 77 analyzed
quote had higher average gasoline prices in September 2005 compared to August, and that
these prices were not substantially attributable to either higher costs or to national or international market trends.
However, much of this was able to be attributed to factors like regional or local market trends,
so they didn't consider these to be instances of price gouging.
Sure, sure, sure.
So like in terms of, I mean, if you want to talk about like some local things, then I'm
sure there are examples that you can find.
But when Alex is talking about like the price of oil going up, there's a reason for that.
And investigation has shown that there's reason to attribute that to national and international
market forces.
So there's nothing really mysterious about that.
I love the world we live in where it's like, aha, well,
there's no illegal market manipulation.
Because you know what that implies.
There is legal market manipulation.
Some market, but I mean, I think you
could say that legal market manipulation could
be like competition, you know?
Shh.
Could you?
I think that's what they might.
Yeah, well, ah, yes.
People who manipulate the markets would very much like you to believe otherwise non-manipulated.
I wish I would have looked into that a little bit more to know exactly what their definition
of legal and illegal market manipulation is.
Right?
Because isn't that the question?
Yeah, that is the term that they used.
Right.
They didn't find evidence of illegal market manipulation.
That's like, okay, come on now.
You'd hope that that would be redundant.
You would hope that.
So Alex does have some other commentary and he makes a fair criticism, but it's also Tom
coming from him.
Fair enough.
And I do have some comments about the hurricane.
George Bush doesn't care about... about the hurricane, Lord Bush cut the federal funding, which there shouldn't even be federal
funding to begin with, the government's going to be doling money out, they cut the federal
funding at record levels for trying to repair and strengthen the levees around the city,
which is several feet below sea level and sinking about three or four inches a year.
The city is sinking.
And the Houston Chronicle reported last year, and we pulled this article out,
that thousands could die if there's ever a direct hit on New Orleans by a hurricane.
So more people could die by a direct hit by a hurricane than on 9-11,
but is the government spending just a few paltry hundred million dollars to protect that city,
which they could do 100%? Absolutely not. So it is bad that Bush cut funding for the
maintenance of the levies in New Orleans, but if you listen to this clip, Alex has absolutely no
leg to stand on in the argument. His position is that there should be no federal funds going to this at all, so Bush's actions
are in service of getting us closer to the situation Alex wants to be the case.
Bush deserves criticism for it to come from Alex's incoherent.
His position doesn't make sense.
It's absolutely true that George W. Bush's administration had repeatedly underfunded
requests from the Army Corps of Engineers' Hurricane Protection Project, and you can
extrapolate that this underfunding could have contributed to the disaster and how things
played out.
Although there are levy breaches and flooding on this day, August 29th, it was the next
morning when the additional breaches occur and approximately 80% of the city ends up
flooded.
At this point on the 29th, there's still a government posture
that levies didn't break, or at least that the indications were that they hadn't, with
the DHS releasing a statement to that effect at 6 p.m. So there is that incongruence of
information that exists at this point. But at the same time, with the gift of hindsight,
we can say that Alex's criticism of Bush here
is good.
Right.
But I don't want to hear it from him.
Let me pitch you this.
All right.
Let me pitch you this.
We can't do restricting the First Amendment.
We've already talked about that ad nauseum.
How about this though?
We add sports rules.
We add sports rules, alright? We add scores, alright?
So if you come at me with this,
if you, Alex Jones in 2005, come at me with
they didn't spend enough on preventing disaster money,
ha ha, kept score.
Now if you make a criticism,
ah, they're spending too much on,
doesn't count, doesn't count.
You lose points, alright?
You see what I'm saying
This would be a very complicated system to implement It could be helpful, but it could be helpful because then we'd be like ah no he got negative 15 points from the last time
This is only plus five for being right about that see what I'm saying sure keep score
Well, I mean it's the same thing as like on our last episode Alex was talking about we need massive public works programs to get to Mars
Yeah, yeah, yeah you know what that's in points you lose
Yeah, we kept score now think about where we are now if you're a casual observer
You're like, oh, I don't follow basketball, but I know LeBron is great
I don't follow basketball, but I know Alex Jones is shit. These are things that are important. See like you have
It's such an interesting dynamic because you have a correct point.
Bush was fucking irresponsible,
and they did not follow the guidance of people
who wanted and saw problems that were potential in advance,
underfunded these things,
and you have that criticism coming from Alex.
You have to ask yourself, what do you want to be the case?
And for Alex, he's only using this complaint as a prop because, you know, short of a flood
happening, he would say, give them no money.
Yeah, absolutely.
It's only because this stuff is happening
and it is a point of attack that you
can make against the person he wants to attack.
That's the only reason he cares about it.
He wishes that Bush would have cut more.
That's like an almost parasitic element
of every government, though.
Like the, ah, you shouldn't have done that
no matter what event happens. Oh, OK, you shouldn't have done that. Uh, no matter what event happens.
Oh, okay.
You didn't spend enough on this.
You should have spent more after the fact or you spend enough on this and then it didn't
turn out to be the biggest problem.
So you're an asshole.
It doesn't matter what way it goes.
What matters is I get to call you an asshole, you know?
Yeah.
Yeah.
So, um, there are some ripples of the present
In some of this sounds about right you asked to have more quarantine stations are tripling the number
this to do to the fact of the of the of the bird flu and the swine flu and
Britain's elite get pills to survive the bird flu. This out of the times of London today.
Don't worry, I'm sure that some of the patriots
for profit out there will have a magical cream for you
that will heal you of this, or perhaps a magic pyramid.
But believe me, it's a fraud, ladies and gentlemen.
Oh, boy.
I demand, I demand a point system now! It is, it is just like, Oh boy
Just like
It's bizarre to go back in here just like an end a self indictment I know I know that's it is it is unfortunate because if there was anything anything
Deserving of getting hit it would be the past if I could throw a punch. It would be directly at the past's face
well, I mean, I think that
one of the things that's interesting about Alex's past is you have this like
It's more accurate than the present granted not like this
You know trying to fear monger about bird flu or swine flu or anything like that
But like hey there are patriots for profit that are gonna try and sell you a magic
Cream like my colloidal silver wound gel
It's uh, it's just it's uh, it makes me very convinced that the shit that he does in the present is
Far more consciously manipulative than we may want to believe at times of what I feel like I've learned over time
In my life that I was completely wrong about right is that I thought
for most of my life like political beliefs and religious beliefs were like the
The bed, you know, like they are the same
Always, you know, but now over time
I'm finding out that they are relative
to what other people think about you
at any given point in time.
And if you can get away with bullshit,
then it doesn't matter what your religious
or political beliefs are,
because that's what your real religious
or political beliefs are, what you can get away with.
Well, sometimes, and-
Motherfuckers.
And I also think that a lot of Alex's political beliefs
are defined by opposition. Yeah. And so it's just kind of mad at whoever, you know the other side. Yep
So I you know tuned in because this is the first day
during Hurricane Katrina that Alex has a show and I
didn't
Find that much about Hurricane Katrina, honestly
It's not a big issue for him.
Instead, he spends a fair amount of time
talking about how he was on vacation,
and he read some books about 1776.
That's crazy.
So he talks about that a bit.
And I wrote a bunch of notes, stuff I wanted to talk about,
and of course I didn't bring them into the studio.
And my humble brain just cannot describe the eloquence and the
intelligence and the courage and the honor and just, I mean, folks, I wrote a history
that was anti-American. I like to read both sides and it was talking about the incredible fortitude of the American forces.
And then to just look at us today, slovenly, stupid people who don't even know where their
state capitals are, who don't have any idea about where major land masses or continents
are, who don't know about the three branches of government, that don't know what the Fourth Amendment is, or the 10th, or the 9th, or the 7th,
who don't have any inkling of anything, just mindless idiots.
And I'm talking about the Democrats, I'm talking about the Republicans.
We have just been domesticated.
We are the children of the children of the children of the children of spoiled brats.
We talk about the World War II generation being the greatest generation.
And yeah, they were more moral and more informed and more intelligent and more brave
in many cases than we are today.
But compared to people in 1776, I'm telling you folks, the greatest generation,
I'm sorry if you don't want to hear it is not the World War two generation
It's the generation of 1776 and that 12 year war
For 1798
Longer than that
88 it just makes my head spin.
It just makes my head spin.
Oh, and to read what globalists in Europe were saying about how they would lose their
empire of control over their slaves.
We have this bad example in America.
We're fighting the same people today.
Same shit, and we're all dumb now. The Revolutionary War ended in 1783. I think when he said 88,
that's when the Constitution was ratified.
That sounds right.
So maybe that's what he means. I don't know. These dates are strange. Anyway, he read a
lot of books about the 1776 and he has a lot of feelings about it and how much we suck
now.
Sure, sure.
Great. Hmm.
You should not, you can't make any mistakes
if you're on a rant about how stupid everybody is
and then at the end it just kinda peter out
and be like, I don't actually remember what I was talking about.
Right, and your whole point is about like trivia
that people don't know.
Granted, of course, like hey, sure,
you know, maybe where the continents are is a pretty basic trivia
Sure, but it's still just information that people have or don't I mean and then you don't have the information that oh well
Yeah, whatever. It is a little ironic. You know what? Here's I don't know why this happened, but
Hey, this was around the time that Jesse Ventura had released that book, right? Or was it?
I think it was.
I don't know what happened.
Was it Republic Crips and Democ...
Well, see, what I think it was was, what?
Democrats and Republicans.
Republicans?
Or whatever it is.
But then I kept, I couldn't get it out of my head and I was like, isn't Republic
Crips and Bloody Kratts better? And that's where I'm at. That's what that, that's what
I have to draw from that clip.
Republic Crips.
And Reblicants.
Is that, is that?
What was it?
Democrips and Rebludlicants.
See what I'm saying? Republic Crips and Bloody crats make so much better. It's so much better,
right?
Yeah, I mean, I think that if you could have made another pass at this, then maybe, but
you're also, your premise is entirely wrong. That book came out in 2012.
Oh man. Well then I'm way off. I'm way off.
Jesse Ventura very well may have been a relevant political figure in 2005, but that book was
seven years
later. Fair enough. Fair enough. So Alex is mad because of reading these books, I thought.
Sure. But it turns out there's actually something else happened on his vacation that made him
mad. And that is that he ended up listening to Rush Limbaugh. Oh, that'll happen. And
he does not like Rush Limbaugh at this point. Why am I so mad? Why do I get frustrated? Because there's no way
to cover it all. I'm driving back yesterday from the Texas coast. Every time, once a year
I go down there for a few days and there's always a hurricane forms and what comes but
luckily it was coming our direction after our little vacation was over. Again, I haven't
had a big vacation in five years.
So I apologize for taking five days off, but it's been five years since I did that and I did it.
In fact, I just said five years.
I've never taken a week off.
I have never taken a week off, but I did do it.
Side issue, they re-air Rush Limbaugh here locally in Austin. Now remember folks, I mean I was
back in college, I was listening to Rush Limbaugh. I mean I used to love Rush Limbaugh. I mean
I bought his books, I even wore a Rush Limbaugh t-shirt. I bought my father the Limbaugh letter, we're talking 12 years ago or longer.
But then my uncle said, you know, he's not a real conservative son.
This is like, my uncle told me that about 15 years ago.
And I rolled my eyes at him and argued with him and then he started explaining to me how
the Republicans were controlled.
And this is back when George Bush was president, the first George Bush, Bush 41.
And I still disagreed with him, but those seeds five years later,
when I myself had gotten into talk radio, began to grow and I began to see.
And let me tell you, if the Rush Limbaugh 15 years ago was bad
and a wolf in sheep's clothing, he's really bad today.
So I'm driving back from Galveston, Texas, listening to three hours of Rush Limbaugh.
I mean, I listened to him from the time I left Galveston
until the time I got back to Austin, Texas.
And it was lie after lie after lie.
I mean, folks, it wasn't just twisting or spinning.
He's never been this bad.
And he sounded, he sounded he sounded
Anebriated I will tell you that he sounded real weird. He sounded real arrogant real assured
euphoric
He was
gibbering at times, but that sounds familiar
And the cats in the cradle in the silver spoon little boy
Dad I wanna beat you so bad
I mean it is a very bizarre
Oh boy
And you know the problem I think really ultimately comes down to time
Because at this point his critique is fairly accurate.
I think this is a couple years after Rush
had had his opiate admission.
And so there's a chance that maybe he is on some pills
or something like that.
I mean, Rush is a liar and he's full of shit.
Can't argue with you.
And so Alex's point is not wrong,
but again coming from him and knowing what we know.
And it's not like he was an example of integrity prior to,
he was listening to 2004 shit where he's taken a liar.
But like the specific way he's describing Rush,
he's full of arrogance, he's shivering.
Do you know what it is?
What?
It's the traitors.
It's the traitor who's like, if I give up a traitor, then they'll think I'm great, and
I'm the traitor hunter guy.
It's that thought process all over again, isn't it?
Like that, like, oh, look, look at me, I'm above the left-right paradigm.
Rush Limbaugh, he sucks for being all those things that I can't wait to become.
My uncle told me about this 15 years exactly
Yeah, absolutely dad. I'm the I'm the guy who hunts out real
Conservatives you know what I'm saying um look I mean I like the traders as much as the next guy very clear
But maybe not everything now we boil it all down to the traders okay, and sports points. Uh-huh what else do I have?
I have reducing everything to meaninglessness
So rush I looked was listening to rush and he saw accidentally his future self
Sure, if he had a real download of the future from God
Can you imagine the ghost of Christmas future showing up and screws being like
That's what we're at yeah, that's the problem
Yeah, I don't have any reason to think that Alex wouldn't at this point
Hate to become sure the thing that he sees in rush sure
So I don't know if if there was a ghost of the Christmas future
Yeah, they came at this point. He would have that reaction. You might be like, oh no.
Now granted, probably wouldn't change anything.
All right, new pitch.
Yeah.
All right, every media figure,
before you get a job in media,
somebody shows up, black bags you, shows up, says,
if you say whatever I want you to say,
I'll give you $500 billion, right?
And then gives it to you.
And if you take it, you can't be in media.
You're, see what I'm saying?'re leaning back in your chair at me.
So right, so Alex is in this situation.
If you offered Alex everything that Rush Limbaugh had
on that day, do you think he takes it?
I think not, because then you get to talk about
how someone black bagged you and offered you all the money.
Sure, sure, sure, sure, fine, five, five. But it's...
It's perfect for a conspiracy theorist.
Well, in his situation, yes.
Actually, you know what? This could backfire. You make a good point.
Yeah, sports points, I'm gonna go along with you halfway, but maybe not this one.
This one? No. Okay, fair enough.
So, we're curious, obviously. What did you hear on Rush?
It's not just that you were listening to Rush.
Three hours, yeah. And so Alex gets into that a bit. Obviously, what did you hear on Rush? It's not just that you were listening to Rush.
So Alex gets into that a bit.
But I heard him say that, well, it just came out that three weeks ago in Seattle, peace
activists, who want to know about this anti-war movement, how peaceful they are, two peace
activists with a crowd beat two troops beat them beat them at a restaurant
Beat them almost and I've got a lot of you heard this Friday. They were here in Friday show Sunday on KLB J5 90
So I'm listening to this and the end and and they beat them they beat them
And they broke their jaws and this is what peace activists do. And I didn't hear him give a news report, I didn't hear him give a source,
he wasn't giving any sources.
He'd cover like 10 articles in an hour and maybe give one source.
He wasn't giving a source and I thought this is really weird as he normally does
and then just twist it.
And so I'm listening to this and again folks this isn't
about bashing Rush Limbaugh,
okay? It's just this is an example of total deception, total lies. And I went wait a minute,
I remember a month ago, you know three four weeks ago hearing about that and it was just a brawl at a club and soldiers get in fights all the time
and I thought this is really really weird but I should you know I'm going to
reserve judgment but peace activists normally are what Neal Bortz calls them
they are the bedwetting type I mean you know the classic liberal is a grobbling, simpering, pencil-necked, limp-wristed, bug-eyed weakling.
Okay, I'm sorry, I just had to say it. It just didn't fit the M.O., the modus operandi.
And he sounded like he was just out of his gourd on, I mean, really, you could tell.
It's like when somebody calls you up on the phone and you're like have you been drinking or are you on something?
Limb off sound it's just nuts. It's just it seems like a lot like Alex talking about his future self
Yeah, yeah, this is this is scary. Yeah, this is scary
Don't it's like a rip in space time
Don't don't nobody record what we're talking about right now and then play it back in 15 years.
I hope that there would not be this much overlap.
I don't think we'll have to worry about it.
Also, it seems like Alex is a great friend of the anti-war movement.
I think he definitely is somebody who you'd want.
If you're out there doing a protest against the Iraq war, it seems like the kind of guy
who really respects what you do
And then who you are
My main problem with pacifists is they won't fucking beat the shit out of these guys. Am I right bunch of losers?
But the soft right fair enough
Yeah, I wonder I wonder like he has like this. Okay. I hate the neocons and the people who are hawks for the war
but I also think that the people who protested the war are soft and weak.
Sure.
What do you want?
Uh, boy, I guess a cabin.
Give him a cabin.
Give him a cabin somewhere far away from humanity.
That would be good for him and me.
Yeah, right? Wouldn't that be the
best for all of us? Let's all just get a cabin. Oh I love a cabin. Let's all just get a cabin.
So Rush is talking about this story. Yeah. Where you have these soldiers that were beaten
up. Right. And. At a bar fight I guess. Well this is what Alex has. Right. This was a bar
fight. Yes. Rush apparently is saying that these were anti-war.
Anti-war activists on, I guess, war.
Yeah.
They beat up some troops.
Yeah.
And here's Alex talking a little bit more about the scenario and the situation that
actually unfolded.
Gotcha.
So, I get home last night, and I sit down, and I go watch the video, and I go watch the video and I go read the articles and these were
believed to be two gang member types with some other gang members at a predominantly
black gang banger bar and a black soldier and a white soldier go in there and some people
hit on their girlfriends and pat on them and stuff and, that's what goes on with these hip hop bars.
Black, white, it doesn't matter.
I mean, it's a bunch of gyrating, thumping,
basically we're being reduced to the level
of animals here in America.
Alex has a bit of that old person racism in 2005,
very clearly.
Did I just get footloosed?
Is that what just happened right there?
He doesn't like modern dancing
Girations right so Alex brings in a bit of racism to the story a bit of bit of racist feeling sure sure
But his version of it is more or less. There's a bar fight. Yes, these people got into a bar fight right now for me I think this is difficult because
Right. Now for me, I think this is difficult because Alex has one version and then he's reporting what Rush Limbaugh's version of it is. Right. I don't see any sources being thrown around here.
I haven't heard any from either.
Now get this. What?
Alex plays the audio of a news report about this.
Oh my God. Alex provides a source.
What is happening?
And we have the audio from it. So let's just go ahead and play it here
it is it is a brutal attack three men at least two of them Iraq war veterans
viciously beaten while dozens of others stood by and watched this attack
happened about 2 30 in the morning on Sunday July 31st police tell us the
soldiers were waiting in line here outside Larry's nightclub on First
Avenue South one of the alleged assailants groped one soldier's wife.
Words were exchanged and the soldiers turned to leave.
One of the individuals involved in the disagreement, possibly through a hot dog at one of the suspects,
apparently hit the suspect in the face with a hot dog.
So there's a hot dog in play.
So I think that Alex has firmly established that the story he's talking about has to do with some Iraq war veterans being attacked in the context
of a bar fight. I'm comfortable saying that he has done his work on that front.
However, there's still another aspect to this, which is the fact that he's not
played a clip of Rush Limbaugh's claims. He's only repeated his own
characterization of them. Fair. I'm willing to believe that Rush did lie about
this incident in order to smear anti antiwar activists, but Alex hasn't shown anything that demonstrates this. There's almost like a reliance
on knowing your audience may have probably listened to Rush, which is... That is interesting.
Which is probably is some sort of a comfort that if you're listening to me, you probably listen to
Rush too. Yeah, you've probably heard what it is. Well, I mean, if Alex was listening, then Alex wasn't on the air at the time.
Right.
So there's a good chance that you weren't listening to whatever Infowars was playing.
Alex was on reruns.
Exactly.
So you were probably listening.
If you're not listening to Alex, you're listening to Rush.
It's kind of his idea.
Probably.
Yeah.
Took a little bit of digging, but I was able to find a story on Media Matters about this.
And Alex's version is kind of fair.
All right. Rush reads from a KOMU Seattle story about this and Alex's version is kind of fair. Alright.
Rush reads from a KOMU Seattle story about this attack and talks about how it was a barfight
and all that, but he starts the story saying quote, for those of you who still have an
open mind about the anti-war left in this country, this story is out of Seattle.
And then he closes his remarks saying quote, so once again the anti-war left claiming to
be a peace movement illustrates itself to be anything but
I'm gonna go ahead and give Alex the points on this one
Yeah
He is accurately pointed out that rush has fabricated an anti-war motive for the attack and though Alex isn't totally accurate and conveying
What rush said his point is fair
The irony is that what rush is doing is exactly what Alex show thrives on in the present day
Yeah that what Rush is doing is exactly what Alex's show thrives on in the present day. A huge chunk of his content is just adding layers and imagined motives onto stories that
don't exist in the real world, and seeing Alex be able to call this out in the past
really does indicate to me how much of his behavior in the present is a willful strategy.
I don't imagine he doesn't understand this, if he's able to call it out, so I would say
Finally yes, I don't think it's great, but it's fine
It kind of fucks me up a little fucks me up because it is like maybe that is what happened
Maybe you did just get black bagged. Maybe we're about to get black bag
Maybe we maybe we do a little bit better for a little bit longer somebody shows up and we get 500 million
How it works? I know I haven't already turned down the black bag fine with that?
How do you know how do you know well? I mean I assume you would tell me you don't know yeah
I think I do I think we have a pretty strong partnership. Hmm. I would trust that
If you're lying to me now, I trust you to not be it doesn't matter
Could go either way. I I don't know. I mean I think I
Imagine that you know you don't need an external force with a black bag and this is offered you know well
You're gonna make there's a metaphorical. That's what I'm saying shift in priority or whatever that it does it does appear may have
May have come along at some point.
Right.
I mean, just that, it's so clear, you know, being the person who plays clips and criticizes
Rush Limbaugh is far less lucrative than being Rush Limbaugh.
That is true.
Like, it is just there, you know?
Especially if you can be an even weirder version of Rush Limbaugh.
Yeah, then you've got that then you got it made
So Alex has been to these hip-hop bars. I
Well, yes, he explains it he explains how he has okay, okay So we got people with gold teeth and cornrows and gang member outfits, okay?
Who outfits who beat up whoever they want, do whatever they want, I mean that's the regular
activity of gang member types and some of these troops don't like it that their girlfriends
were getting, I mean if you don't want that to happen don't go to one of those bars, okay?
I have been in them and now I'll have to explain myself.
My cousin who now lives up in Chicago is a DJ.
A couple times he was making me music tracks and videos, which you'll see listed in the credits.
And I would have the enjoyment of going into one of these establishments.
And I assure you after that I would have him bring me the CD outside during a song just because I don't wish to be around it.
But I have been in these establishments and let me just tell you it is amazing.
Sodom and Gomorrah is the way to describe it and this is how our children are now being
taught to behave.
But again all that is a side issue.
How does this, and I know a lot of you heard this last Friday.
I heard it rebroadcast yesterday.
How does this transfer into, this is very important.
How does this transfer into peace activists beating up troops?
I mean, it's just the most...
Good question.
Why do they let Limbaugh do what he does?
I mean, they got...
He's gone out of his mind on the air.
I mean, he's just gone completely.
And folks, it was hours of it.
Three hours of lying.
Oh, three hours?
Exactly three hours.
Like your show is?
Exactly.
Did he bring somebody into Host the Fourth?
Jesus Christ, man! It's just, it's a mirror. It's a haunting mirror. Yeah, no, it's really
concerning me. It's starting to bother me a lot. How do they let him be on air? I don't
know. How do they let you be on air? I feel like there are things that he said
that you could go back and, like in this clip,
you could go back to us five years ago
and hear me say something almost identical
to like how do they let him be on air?
Sure.
Like straight up.
Yeah.
No, I don't like that.
No.
I don't like that at all, Dan.
It's not good.
Ah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah.
Now we have to go fight to the death
because only one of us can survive.
This, I mean look I
Wanted to cover Hurricane Katrina
Yeah, this is not what I expected and now instead Alex and I have to fight on top of a volcano way to go
Well one natural disaster or the other that is the case so this was
Jarring yeah a bit of bit of segment for Alex to really really go at Limbaugh in a way that is a damning
indictment of his future
But he does he does end up taking some calls and so we get we get some calls. Here's here's one weirdo
All right. Let's go to Jason in Maryland Jason. Go ahead
Thanks, Alex. I was wondering if you were
Actually, I just want your take on something.
Colin Powell, I read, was supposed to be signing a UN charter for a Palestinian state with
huge Israeli concessions on 9-11, 2001.
I was wondering what your take was on the timing of that.
It was supposed to be at 10 a.m. and it was torted by the attack, obviously.
I was not familiar with the specific thing.
I mean, I know that they were having meetings at that time,
but I know we've got the Israeli pullout
of some areas going on right now, which is a brutal scene.
Right.
But I wasn't specifically aware of that day, that hour.
Yes, at 10 a.m. was when the paper was to be signed by Colin Powell and then for obvious
reasons it didn't happen.
Obvious reasons.
Yeah.
So what that's, what callers talk about isn't true.
Yeah, it can't possibly be true.
Colin Powell was in Lima, Peru on September 11th where he was part of the Special General
Assembly of the Organization of American States.
They were set to sign the Inter-American Democratic Charter, which was meant to defend democratic
governance in the North and South American states.
It has zero to do with Israel or the creation of a Palestinian state.
This caller is repeating this to Alex because it's meant to be evidence that Israel did
9-11.
Yeah, I mean that's basically the idea, right?
Yes, that is the whole entire reason this is being put forth.
It's difficult to get a concrete sense from Alex's comments of a lot of his position at
this point, but obviously he does think there was some Israeli involvement.
Sure.
Masad, kind of shit, in awareness of 9-11 or something. It's it's it's very difficult to get the
Full picture. We'll see if more context clues come up in 2005. Yeah, I'll just say it doesn't feel like a
He's saying that the bath party did it at the very least. No, they're off the hook. Yeah
Yeah, so they've I mean Leo's agami is still not taking responsibility for the attack yet.
I don't remember the timestamp of that confession video.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So it's possible that this caller doesn't know that it was actually Leo who did it.
Right.
And I don't think that Alex and Leo Zagami are friends at this point.
See, so yeah.
So and Alex hates dancing and Leo is out there probably dancing right now.
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
Doing a disco tech in Rome.
Doing a gyration, if you will.
The great Leo Young.
So we do get a little update on the fact that there's a hurricane.
And there's very little conversation about it as a whole.
Good news on the hurricane.
It did not hit, a direct hit of New Orleans, Louisiana.
Its main body came ashore about 100 miles east of there.
Still caused a lot of flooding and some serious problems.
No deaths as of yet, thank God.
Sometimes we have floods here in Texas and 35 people die in one night.
So very, very serious, but not in this case so far.
Really dodged the bullet there.
So I do think that the tone will entirely change
pretty quickly.
Yeah.
But at this point, this is the perspective
that you probably have every reason to have,
and it's very ominous.
This is, I think, like if you pull back,
I think you could misconstrue this as like a accidental tape that's fallen
in from a better universe.
You know what I'm saying?
Like in this case, Alex criticizing Rush Limbaugh for being a piece of shit.
In this case, Hurricane Katrina has not absolutely wrecked New Orleans.
Like it is so much like-
It's like the man in the high castle.
If we, if this was, if this had snuck through
a dimensional portal, I'm jumping into that portal
as soon as I can find it.
You know what I mean?
Unfortunately, it is not.
It is all just context.
It's all just fucked up.
Oh man.
So we get another caller.
Yeah.
And it's this fella.
He's got some, this. This guy is interesting.
This is what made me call when you were covering George Washington. I'm right in that area.
He's been up and down my backyard. I live in the most historical place in the country
where it all started. We covered all the great stuff with Washington. Are you familiar with
who they called the mysterious professor that
appeared in the balcony in that inn when they were trying to determine on the draft of the
Declaration of Independence whether or not that was the final draft they were arguing.
The war was imminently going to break out and in heated debate all of a sudden a man,
a mysterious figure appears in the balcony and he makes a big oratory and at the end
of it he says God has decreed America to be free, hurry up and sign that document.
And they known him as the mysterious professor.
Are you familiar with him?
Yes, I'm familiar with him.
Thanks for the call.
What?
Paul, comments to what the listener was just saying?
Oh, that's what you were telling me.
I'm down here in Texas.
They're up in Minnesota.
They were telling me Paul's phone system cut out,
so we're calling him back.
Yeah, Paul Joseph Watson's also writing Shotgun
at this point.
Are you familiar with the mysterious professor?
Are you?
Absolutely not.
You don't know about the mysterious professor?
Did he invent Flubber?
Then no.
That's the nutty.
So Alex sure wasn't interested
in that line of conversation.
I agree, yes.
If I had to guess it's probably because he knows it's bullshit But he doesn't like to do things that work against American exceptionalism, patriot lore, those kinds of anything that's like that
He doesn't want to
Disrupt or stop you from believing nonsense if it feeds into that. Right, right, right. If you saw God
Appear on a hill and say do whatever I told you to do. I'm not gonna get in into that. Right, right, right. If you saw God appear on a hill and say, do whatever I told you to do, I'm not gonna
get in the way.
Right, we're not gonna debunk that shit.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, no problem.
So this caller is basing his story on something that appears in a book called The Secret Destiny
of America, written by Manley P. Hall.
I'm sorry?
Yeah.
Hall was a real esoteric weirdo, and a lot of his shit is not that credible.
But in his book, he claims that he visited a
Theosophical colony in Ojai, California where he was introduced to a secret tome of early American political speeches
This tome included a tale of the night of July 4th
1776 when all the greats got together to talk shit about Liberty
It was a who's who roster course Thomas Jefferson, naturally. Thomas Jefferson. Sure. Ben Franklin. Of course.
John Adams.
Yelp.
Some unnamed guy.
John Adams kid.
Yep.
So the unnamed guy gives a long, very passionate speech that touches on God declaring that
America needs to exist so people can be free.
Sure.
After he gives his speech, quote, the unknown speaker fell exhausted into his seat.
The delegates, carried by his enthusiasm, rushed forward.
John Hancock scarcely had time to pen his bold signature before the quill was grasped
by another.
Oh my god, this is Forrest Gump!
It was done. The delegates turned to express their gratitude to the unknown speaker for
his eloquent words. He was not there.
Who was this strange man who seemed to speak with divine authority, whose solemn words
gave courage to the doubters and sealed the destiny of the new nation.
Unfortunately, no one knows."
Hall goes on to suggest that the guy was an angel, who appeared to make sure the people
liked him.
Yeah, well, yeah.
I think we're pretty clear on that one.
This is a lot of fun, but Hall hadn't actually found a secret book of speeches in Ojai.
This entire story is just crib from a book called Washington
and his generals as illustrated in the legends of the revolution by a guy named George Lippard.
Lippard is a dude who would take ideas of moments in history and then fictionalize them
and add fantastic elements to spice them up a little bit so they'd sell. This was a fake
story that appeared in Lippard's 1847 book which was then repackaged by Manley P. Hall
in his 1944 book,
and I guess this caller believes it's a real thing that happened.
So if I understand correctly, some dude wrote fanfic about the American Revolution and here we are.
Sort of supernatural, paranormal fanfic.
Bella and the fucking werewolf fucked together and now we got America. Yeah great work. It's Alex is familiar with this
Yeah, but doesn't say hey, that's nonsense. Who doesn't know about the mysterious professor?
How can you how can you with a straight face say the mysterious professor?
Do you know like as like a just like any any reason any for any reason?
How can you say the mysterious professor?
No one knows who he is in a serious manner history is forgotten who this person then
Then no because he's an angel
mysterious
Yeah, that was delightful okay next clip not so delightful
Oh, that's that's right Alex gets a call from a guy who's upset that
Holocaust deniers are getting in trouble. I was about to say here's why the next call sucks. You hate the Jews for some reason
Six years ago. I saw stuff where a white supremacist
Said that six million Jews didn't die now whether ten million Jews died or a million Jews died, whether I agree with that or not,
people should have a right to say what they want.
But no, under German law, the FBI arrested him and flew an American citizen to Germany
where he is still in jail.
Oh yeah, that's happening right now up here to a guy named Ernest Sandel, who all means
I don't agree with the guy, but this is like what happened to Galileo
Galileo just happened to be right this guy just happens to be wrong
But it's the same thing you know you charge a person with heresy for disagreeing with what the church has said is you know?
Sun revolves around the earth. That's the way it goes you disagree with that. We're gonna hang you and
Well, I mean Hitler was really bad and literally a lot of bad things. The problem is the Soviets wrote a lot of lies about the Nazis, and so those have been
discredited, a lot of exaggerations.
And so then people try to say the whole story isn't true when, yeah, folks, Hitler was bad
news and did kill a bunch of people, a lot of them Jews.
But exactly, regardless of whether Zundel is wrong or right, that guy is now in a German
jail cell.
Oh yeah, well yeah, he's going to be extradited there.
He's been here like in Canada since the 50s.
Well then he moved to Tennessee.
No, no, he's now in Germany.
Oh, he is?
They finally extradited him, yeah.
I know he'd be fine.
And by the way, Zundel's stuff is mild, folks.
It is mild compared to some of the revisionists.
But again, it's illegal to write revisionist history.
That's our new freedom.
So Zundel, Ernst Zundel is mild.
Now, one thing that I think is really interesting is that Alex is right that Zundel had been extradited.
Okay. Alex is up to date on that story. Interesting. Seems to be keeping track of that one. I was gonna say that's real weird for you to know
specifics about that a I mean inconsequential and pointless story.
I don't know if it's inconsequential or pointless, but it's very specific.
So Alex I get that he wants to defend Ernst Zundel on some free speech
grounds but it is absurd to call him mild. Zundel founded semi-stat publishers which
the Auschwitz Memorial and Museum called quote, a significant focal point in revisionist propaganda.
He wrote books that were not only denying the Holocaust but he co-authored a book called
The Hitler We Loved and Why and he published a slew of other Hitler and Nazi promoting trash.
He wrote for the newsletter The White Power Report, and is a critically important piece
of the spread of neo-Nazi ideas.
For all of the shit he did, all of the hate he disseminated, and all of the Holocaust
denial, he was ultimately sentenced to five years in jail.
It's not, you know, he's like, call caller saying will hang you even to jail for five years
Yeah, Alex can play whatever games he wants with pretending that he just likes to defend on popular speech
But it's an entirely different thing for him to pretend that Ernst Zundel is mild. That's crazy
That's like how he's these days. He says the AFD party in Germany is a milk toast conservative party
He runs cover for extremists like this
Probably because he has a pretty heavy overlap
with them in terms of policy preferences. This is mild to him.
I mean, it's just gonna... It's the playbook, right? Like, oh, January 6th, the next day.
It's like, well, it wasn't that bad. I mean, everybody's... I don't know. It's very more
about slavery. Ah, it's about states' rights. Come on, man. It wasn't that bad. We're not all
slavery supporters. It's about states' rights. It's about more about slavery as about states rights. Come on, man. It wasn't that bad We're not all slavery supporters about states rights about freedom of speech
and I also really do think that if you're in a position like Alex and you have the kind of audience, let's say that you do I
Think that when you make a claim like the Soviets exaggerated a bunch of stuff about the Nazis
I think you should be more specific than that
Soviets exaggerated a bunch of stuff about the Nazis, I think you should be more specific than that. Because that's the kind of thing that a lot of people could take in a lot of
different directions.
Well, how about we, how about we take it down to its fundamentalist most, most basic idea.
The people who tell you that the Jews were massacred by Hitler, wrong, bad people. The
people who tell you that those people are lying to you?
Correct. Good people. And then you give it 10 years.
Or at very least, you know, you have maybe maybe Ernozondel is not a good guy, but he's
not that bad.
Sure. You know who's really bad? Those people who tell you that he's a bad guy. Now Ernozondel,
he's not a great guy. He's not a great guy.
I admit that because I'm a magnanimous human being
capable of seeing both sides of the issue.
That does seem like where this comes from.
It might be.
Might be something I've heard a lot.
So, Alex and Paul, they sort of complain a little bit
about some media like Rush and stuff,
and I think that this is another moment
where the time space is torn.
Ouch.
Is this a willful craziness Paul?
Well it is yeah.
I mean on Limbaugh's party he does that kind of thing every day.
He came out with absolutely no evidence, no follow up, no retraction.
Said that the Downing Street memos were leaked by somebody connected to
the CBS Rathergate scandal because he remembered the same name being connected to the Rathergate
scandal. The name was Michael Smith. You really remember that name. It's very different. And
then with Cindy Sheehan, I mean, take this for example, Cindy Sheehan says when I get
up to heaven he's going to say good job mom, talking about her son, Casey Sheehan.
So Will Daly writes an article which says that Cindy Sheehan channels the dead.
How obvious is that as a quite pathetic smear attempt?
So that's what you get from a New York-
And by the way folks, if we just wanted to get hits, we could write headlines like that
and get them all day.
But I mean, and we're all that daily is just getting less and less credibility.
Let's take a call.
I'm just so sick of it.
Yeah, me too.
I feel like the most important sound now is just that Wayne's world like,
do-lu-lu-lu, do-lu-lu-lu, do-lu-lu-lu, like after every sentence should be,
do-lu-lu-lu, and then cut to now, you know?
Like it's incredible.
All of Alex's headlines being rank misinterpretations of things.
Just incredible.
Proceeded by breaking emergency transmission.
Yup.
If we wanted to get all those hits we could by doing the thing we end up doing eventually.
Yup.
Yup.
I mean, is there something, there's almost something like raw and just like evolutionary
about that, you know?
Like, well here's a strategy doing this thing
and here's a more successful strategy fucking people over you know it's almost
it's almost so automatic it's almost human stark dark yeah so Alex has some
complaints about some other folks maybe they're petty he calls himself out on that possible but he's
mad at Lance Armstrong I like to early thousands this is totally petty but I'm
gonna talk about it I told you folks about Lance Armstrong and why are we
criticizing him for some blood doping you know type steroids that makes you
grow more blood basically.
He's plumping.
Why are we all freaking out about that?
You know, if it's true or not, obviously it's, you know, they got him.
Listen, why do we care about that?
We've got him on Nike.
Nike owns slave camps.
Nike uses little kids.
It's very evil.
I've been boycotting them for 10 years, folks.
It's not like some new thing I just started doing because I don't like Lance Armstrong.
I just, the guy radiates evil.
I mean, I got to be honest with you folks.
You know I got a good sense about folks.
And I just, I go off hunches.
I go, 99% is facts, but I just always had a bad feeling about Armstrong.
I've been around him, you know, in person.
He lives here in Austin. And he just always had a bad feeling about Armstrong. I've been around him in person, he lives here in Austin, and he's bad news folks.
And now he's prancing around with the globalist and Bush and it's been in the news that people
brought up, don't be a Nike sponsor, and he's like, I'll do what I want.
But we'll do what we want.
Any comments about Armstrong, Paul?
I haven't really been following that to be
honest it's just he's really an aggressive arrogant domineering control
freak folks he's got to be stopped I mean he's getting into politics and we
and that's why I'm coming out against him so okay all right we got to stop
Lance Armstrong I mean okay mm-hmm all right I think got to stop Lance Armstrong. I mean, okay. Mm-hmm. All right
I think that is as close to a mission accomplished as I probably there has been yeah, he was stopped
He was thoroughly stopped. Yep. Yep
Certainly not in politics. Nope. Nope. Oh, yeah, there's there's an interesting kind of
Complaint that Alex has which is I guess he's not mad
about him cheating.
He's mad that he takes money from Nike.
But also, it seems like through other conversations that he has, he only cares because he's getting
into politics.
Because he's like, oh, I don't like Michael Jordan or Tiger Woods, and they take Nike
money, but they're not anywhere near politics.
So somehow Lance Armstrong, I guess Alex thinks that he's going to run or something.
Lance Armstrong is going to run. So he's thinking this after everybody has caught him cheating.
Interesting. Interesting. I would argue that Lance Armstrong stopped Lance Armstrong far
before Alex even got a chance. That is true.
But it's petty.
Also why is he?
There's that moment that's really great
where he's calling himself out on the pettiness.
Sure.
And I enjoy that.
Sure.
And there's another, there's an out of context drop
that I forgot to play.
Okay.
But I'm actually gonna play it
because I think it's another.
Well now it's in context.
I think it's another little moment.
Here's another analogy.
You know I'm the king of each
Whether they're good or not, I mean I may be the king of bad analogies, but so what so what?
Oh my god, there's a taking the piss out of yourself a little bit. Yeah that is there that you don't you know
It feels it feels organic. Yeah. Yeah
I mean I wouldn't I wouldn't listen to hours of this, but it is far more enjoyable to listen
to than anything that we do in the present day.
There is a sense of like-
This is a show.
It's a person doing a show.
Yeah, it's a show.
This is a show.
Whatever we listen to now in the present is not a show.
No.
It is what it is. It's mostly
Especially in the current time immigrant trashing
Incitement and yeah and nonsense. Yeah, it's propagandist. I mean doomsday preaching. Yeah. Yeah
And and I think that there you know, some of that is that I feel like there's a there's a I don't know
I don't know what it is, but those little moments. There's just something in it. Yeah, this is petty, but fuck it. I hate Lance Armstrong
You know what? I'm gonna go home and then I'm gonna come back to work tomorrow. We're still gonna do a show today's a show
I don't have to you know what I don't like Armstrong and tomorrow
I'm not gonna give a shit so we have one last clip here
It's another caller and this is a little bit brief, I guess. But it's an introduction.
We're jumping in to the coverage of Hurricane Katrina and saying farewell to the mysterious
professor. We're also saying goodbye to the mysterious professor. But this episode is not
really about Katrina at all., right, right, right
there isn't really much coverage of it outside of the
sort of
reflecting on and mirroring the
Impression that a bullet was dodged. Yeah
And so I think that the real meat and all that will come in the next episode, right?
Because there will be a new reality that Alex must adjust to. We didn't dodge that bullet
Not at all. not at all at all
Not even a little bit
So that that's kind of why there's a little bit less of the actual
topic in this
And then this last call is just completely off the beaten path entirely. Okay, Mark and Missouri last caller. Go ahead
Hello, Alex. Thanks for all you're doing. Just wanted to say
that it's just 13 days away from 9-1-1 and we have planned here a showing of your documentary
martial law in Springfield Missouri. Oh good. On 9-11 and also on 9-29 and... Where are you
where are you showing it? At the Springfield eight theaters in Springfield, Missouri?
Well, that's good, that's good. That's good. I am from Missouri you are and I'm here to tell you that Springfield sucks
Yeah, it's trash city. Yeah, everyone hates it. Yeah
well, not everyone but everyone that I know who I
Ever ever everyone who didn't?
Oh, oh, I ever ever everyone who didn't
It's very right wing city. Yeah, I'm gonna. I'm gonna throw this out at you, buddy
I'm not a huge fan of Missouri as a whole I feel you Yeah, I think there's a there's saving graces and sure there's there's fine people at sea in Springfield
Yeah, yeah, but it's Springfield as a whole has a character of a bit of a stodgy right-wing shit now
I heard that clip. Yeah, and I said Springfield eight. Holy shit. Did you work there?
No, okay, I worked at forum eight theater. Okay in Columbia. Were they your sister theater?
Yes owned by the same people. Yes. Did you show the movie? No damn at the time?
Yeah, yeah, this is no longer the case. This theater is now Springfield 11 by the same people. Yes. Did you show the movie? No. Damn. At the time though. Yeah.
This is no longer the case. This theater is now Springfield 11. Bastards. And it's owned by AMC.
Okay. However, and this took a while for me to confirm because I had to try and figure this out
because it jogged a memory. At the time, Springfield 8 was owned by Goodrich, which was the theater company that owned for a mate. I
Did a couple shifts at Springfield 8. No shit
I don't know the exact timeline when that would have been yeah, but it might have it was before this sure sure sure
But but it would have been in the ballpark the territory. I've been to Springfield 8
We're we're going to so I feel like we've had a bunch of those like near miss coincidence
moments. You know that like, that like a, you know, John Lennon walking by a guitar
store when he's at nine years old looking at, you know, like, oh, I want that. And you
go, ah, that's dramatic irony.
Me working the night that Alex's movie showed at Springfield 8, that's Forrest Gump.
That's Forrest Gump. That's Forrest Gump.
That's what I'm saying.
There's gotta be so many of those moments that we're just near missing.
We're so close to those.
I think this is just an entirely bizarre coincidence that this guy who worked at that theater called
in and I happened to work at another theater that was owned by the same company in the
same state and at the same company in the same state.
And at the same number of theaters.
Huh.
Yep.
Yep, just, yep.
It is what it is.
Ships passing in the night.
So, so weird.
This world, man.
We gotta find that portal.
We gotta find that portal where everybody's fine
after Katrina.
That's the one I wanna live in.
I bet everything is so much better there.
Yeah. Oh God, I bet everything is so much better there. Yeah, oh god
I bet everything's so much better there and everything is so much worse. I'm sure
The next episode yeah, I'm sure that as this goes along
It will not be nearly as fun as the moments like talking about the mysterious professor
And and what have you you know that I'm sure this is going to be pretty bad.
And I geared up for it to be really bad jumping in.
And it turns out, no.
There's not an awareness.
The media's not on top of this, per se.
Yeah.
So, so strange.
This is, you know, because we're doing doing this we're listening to Alex do this shit and it and concurrently
You know not at the exact same time, but within the next couple of weeks
Kanye's on TV saying shit, you know, and then like Myers and then cut to now
Cuz Wayne's world does the thing it's everywhere man right? There's no escaping it yeah, we have yay back then saying bush doesn't care about people and then in the present or a year ago
So he's on Alex's show with a net and Yahoo bottle there are there are
If you saw you know like when you stop and think about human history mm-hmm for
thousands of years
Everybody's daily life was basically
the same. For thousands of years, your grandfather's daily life was basically the same.
Going around, hunt a mammoth.
Now my daily life isn't even the same as it was five years ago. You know, it's like I
don't even get the same daily routine that thousands of years of humans had.
You want to hunt a mammoth?
I kinda.
All you had to do was run him off a cliff.
I feel like I would be more of a gatherer than a hunter.
I think yeah.
I think that might be my speed.
I don't think you're really a murderer.
I don't think you have the death instinct in you.
Or a chaser.
Chasing animals.
No, that's a lot of effort
Pretty I'm pretty I don't like I don't like you fruit that much, but if it came down to it. Yeah
Yeah, yeah, you do you do it. I'll chase some shit. I played sports. Yeah, fuck it good
We got both our bases covered. Yeah, we were hunter-gatherer right here. Yeah
so
We have we come to the end of this episode and I am excited in the sense that I think
we're going to experience something notable.
I think that obviously this is a giant piece of US history.
The failures of the government to respond appropriately, to prepare, the failures of
even normal media in terms
of their coverage. It will be very interesting to see through the prism of Alex and especially
with it being a period of Alex's career where he's not the person he is today, but is still
himself. So you still have, I'm going to fucking minimize Holocaust denier publication people.
I'm going to be a bit racist about my coverage
of this bar fight.
There's still those pieces of himself,
but he believes he's playing an elevated game
where he's critical of Rush Limbaugh's misrepresentations.
I think that dynamic will create a very bizarre lens to see this through.
It could be very interesting. I'm excited. Sweet. Well, we will be back. I'll be honest.
I'm just excited to get out of 2004. Yeah. It was walking through mud a little bit. And
it is nice to be out of that patch, that swamp. We ride. So we'll be back with another episode,
but until then Jordan, we have a website. Indeed we do it's knowledgeride.com. Yep we are also on
Blue Sky. We are on Blue Sky at knowledge ride. Yep we'll be back but until then I'm
Neo, I'm Leo, I'm DZX Clark, I'm the mysterious professor.
Woo yeah woo yeah woo! And now here comes the sex robots. Andy and
Kansas you're on the air thanks for holding. Hello Alex I'm a first time caller I'm a
huge fan I love your work. I love you.
