Starting point is 00:00:00 Hello, hello, hello, hello. Hi everybody. Welcome, welcome, welcome. How are you guys? Happy Tuesday. It's a happy Tuesday because it's Leo and the Landay, bitch. Who's listened to this for the first time? So curious like when when people start a new podcast you listen to the latest episode or the oldest one
Starting point is 00:00:30 I tend to listen to the latest anyway. I'm rambling already So guys I have a special guest for you today. I have an average guest for you today Please make some noise for my boyfriend, Jamie Russo. Average guest. Average guest. Hello. He's back on the pod. Hi everyone. Popular demand. People love the male perspective. I'll give it. It's not you. What do you mean? It's not personal. They just like the male
Starting point is 00:01:02 perspective. Oh right. I thought you were saying I'm not male perspective. No, I'm just kidding. People are excited to have you back. I'm excited to have you back. Do you enjoy recording podcast episodes with me, honey? I absolutely love it. If I can give any help, I'll give it. Really?
Starting point is 00:01:14 Would you consider yourself a wise man? Been, I don't know. Whoa, were you about to say been around the block? I was gonna say that, but no. I guess I'll just get an evil side out. No, to be fair, I would like to say been around the block? I was gonna say that, but no. I'm just like getting evil, I've got a side note. Now, to be fair, I would like to say I'm wise, but I'm only, I don't know, I'm still quite young. Got a lot to learn. I don't know, I don't know about like I'm still quite young, like come on. What do you mean? This is the- Like you make- So I'm an average guess I'm not that young. I like to think I'm dating a mature man. Well, I am a mature man.
Starting point is 00:01:42 I would like to- Date him. Date him. I think I'm dating a mature man. Well, I am a mature man. I would like to Know to be fair. I would like to think I've got some wisdom. Yeah. Yeah, I think you are wise at least now Now thanks to me. You have to train So gullies, this is how this episode is gonna work The first obviously you may have noticed there is a part one and part two if you you are listening to this, this is part one, you're in the right part. Love ya. So part one, we did this last time, it's just gonna be a bit more fun, quite personal. It's just, to be fair, it's gonna be all about us. Me, me, me, me, me. You know what I mean? And then the part two is gonna be dilemmas.
Starting point is 00:02:21 We've got some really good dilemmas for you today. I'm excited. I picked them very carefully. Did you actually? Yeah I picked the ones that specifically people asked for your help but also... I feel so important right now. Yeah. I do, I feel really important. But also there was some that were sent in before I announced your appearance but I read them and I thought I'd be intrigued to know what he has to say on that one. Well, I'm here. This is what I'm here for. Yeah. Yeah, I'm ready for it. Okay. So do
Starting point is 00:02:51 you have anything to add to the intro? No, it's what we've been doing recently. What have we been doing recently? No, not a lot. Tell us again. Tell us again. Well, it's funny that all. You know that clip on TikTok guys from the Waffling podcast where is it Theo, Theo Baker Tell us again! Tell us again! Tell us again! Tell us again! Tell us again! Tell us again! Tell us again! Tell us again! Tell us again!
Starting point is 00:03:09 Tell us again! Tell us again! Tell us again! Tell us again! Tell us again! Tell us again! Tell us again! Tell us again!
Starting point is 00:03:17 Tell us again! Tell us again! Tell us again! Tell us again! Tell us again! Tell us again! Tell us again! Tell us again! Tell us again! Tell us again! Tell us again! Tell us again! busy with playing rock paper scissors and he was he wasn't going on go he was going on rock so
Starting point is 00:03:28 we were doing it at different times you got it wrong babe you did this every podcast what mate he was going on go right and he was going on three or three two one oh my god as if that makes a difference to the fucking story who goes on rock who rock? Rock, paper, scissors. Oh no, not rock. I used to go on scissors. Exactly. Oh he goes on rock. Anyway, carry on babe. Shut up. No, I'm embarrassing you now. This is what everyone wants to say to you. You can't embarrass me.
Starting point is 00:03:57 Well, okay. Do you say I really get embarrassed much? No. Not at all. Have you ever seen me embarrassed? No, I haven't actually. You'd be like, well, fuck it. Who cares? I can't really think of an instance where I feel really embarrassed. That's because you're perfect. I cringe at myself. I feel like, oh my god, that was so cringe.
Starting point is 00:04:15 But I can laugh at most things. I suppose being a theatre kid, it's quite hard to embarrass a theatre kid because we've done some embarrassing shit. Yeah, you've probably felt embarrassed, but you haven't shown it. You know what's embarrassing like little things embarrass me like oh my god So embarrassing when you say to someone when somebody says like in a restaurant enjoy your meal and you go. Thanks You too like that shit. Yeah, I literally I can't hope with that Anyway, the story is that he tells a really boring rock, paper, scissors story and then Joe Weller goes, well, tell us again.
Starting point is 00:04:48 So now when Jamie tells boring stories, which is frequent and almost daily. Every day at the minute, I hear that saying every day. I say, oh, tell us again. Oh, tell us again. So have we actually been up to anything fun this week? Well, this is what I was trying to say. Like we've been, we just, we love each other's company so much. We actually do. We actually
Starting point is 00:05:05 do. We've got holidays coming in the future. Near future. We're excited, it's an exciting time. Jamie's been doing my pedicure again, I got an LED or a UV lamp thing and you guys remember he does my pedicures, I've mentioned before and now we've stepped it up a notch haven't we? We have, we've got the UV, what is it UV? He gets so mad though. What do you mean? You get so mad doing the fucking French tip. Like, and I say to him, baby relax, it's my toes.
Starting point is 00:05:33 The only one that's gonna be seeing them realistically is me and you. And he'll be like, can you not move? Can you not move? Fuck's sake, just fucking keep still. I take it serious. Just fucking, so serious, so intense. No but I pretend I take things very seriously. You do take things quite seriously, don't you?
Starting point is 00:05:49 I do. I don't know what it is. I'd say we're quite different in that way. Yeah, you're very... I don't know how to explain it. Nonchalant. Nonchalant. Is that the word? Yeah, that's like blazer. I don't know what that means. Like just don't really care too much.
Starting point is 00:06:01 No, see, I'm not like that. We both know I'm such an over thinker. No, you have a thing, but you don't really... I don't take care too much. No see I'm not like that we both know I'm such an over thinker. No you have a thing but you don't really. I don't take things as seriously. No. I'm very, you're, I don't know it's not even in a bad way but like yeah you take things more seriously and I I just don't. But I also would like to think I'm a perfectionist if I do so. You are. I need to do it like how I want to do it. You are such a perfectionist. Yeah, so like if I'm given a job, I wanna do it to the best of my ability.
Starting point is 00:06:30 Yeah, I would agree with that. Okay, well this is what I mean. This is what I wanted to do, an update. Yeah, so I think we, do we have anything else to update them on? No. Is that it? That was your update? You take things seriously?
Starting point is 00:06:46 Swimming. Tell us again! Take the piss. No, like we've been doing stuff, haven't we? Playing Roblox. Okay, we have been playing Roblox. Yeah. Let me explain.
Starting point is 00:06:57 I've been addicted to Dress to Impress, okay? I've seen it all over my TikTok and then, have I mentioned this on the pod? I feel like I have. I think you have. You guys know that I'm this on the pod? I feel like I have. I think you will. You guys know that I like to get into my sad little games, my silly little games like Sims, Habbo and then the latest one was Dressed to Impress and the thing is, the thing I like to play dress up games, I'm 27 years old and it's just my bag, okay? I love it. And then I've discovered Roblox actually slaps, okay? I thought Roblox was such a baby game because my six-year-old,
Starting point is 00:07:34 I wasn't gonna say cousins, I don't like cousins, niece and nephews play Roblox, okay? I thought it was a proper baby game. There's some serious scary shit on there and me and Jamie, we started to play these two player things, they're called obbies. So crazy. It is crazy. Because I asked my niece, what do you play on Roblox? And she was like, mostly obbies. And I was like, what the hell is an obbie?
Starting point is 00:07:57 She's like, like an obbie. And then she showed me and I was like, oh, like an obstacle course. And she was like, I don't know. It's just an obbie. And I was like, oh, like an obstacle course. And she was like, I don't know, it's just an obby. And I was like, oh, okay. Anyway, and then me and Jamie found this one called Chained because basically what we're learning is, Roblox has a lot of knockoff games, doesn't it?
Starting point is 00:08:13 Doops. Doops. Doops. Yeah, and there's a game called Chained Together that we really wanna play, don't we? But we don't own an Xbox or a PlayStation. No, we don't. But they have like a little Roblox version
Starting point is 00:08:22 and we completed it, mate. Yeah, we completely got to the top. Literally every obstacle. It took us a lot of real money. Yeah actual money. Yeah no honestly the amount of fucking money we spent in roblox. We revived because Leah could not for the life of her jump up a fucking obstacle. Honestly stop lying.
Starting point is 00:08:40 You are so bad at that game. I'm so much better at it than you. There's so many times I had to take your phone and do it for you. Oh my god! I took your laptop mate! You like did you have to do this one? And I've boxed it every time. But anyway that, honestly that's my weekly update. I've been on fucking Roblox. Honestly two player games, I would, if there's anyone out there in the relationship, I'm sure there is, plenty listening.
Starting point is 00:09:04 Recommend. Recommend! It's like it takes two we love that it's like a bonding session I mean you could end up arguing but like which like I said Jamie takes everything seriously we didn't argue is little bits of like five minutes of silence it's funny because basically this game you're chained together right so you're doing this obstacle course so you're jumping around through the air through the sky okay you get higher and higher the further you go you just keep going up and up the next checkpoint yeah and you're just this obstacle course, so you're jumping around through the air, through the sky, okay? You get higher and higher the further you go. You just keep going up and up.
Starting point is 00:09:26 You have to reach the next checkpoint. Yeah. And you're just trying to get to the next checkpoint because if you die, you'll respawn at your last checkpoint, okay? And Jamie will fall off the edge all the time. And then he's like, pull, pull, pull! No, actually, if I fell off the edge, I'm like, pull me, pull me, pull me! So he has time to think, okay, I need to pull her her and you press pull and then he pulls me up by my chain
Starting point is 00:09:47 And then we don't die Jamie will just go flying off the edge and not say a word So if I'm not pulling I just get dragged off the edge and every time that's what would happen because he doesn't communicate because I'll Tell you why you don't communicate because you're ashamed that you need being pulled up by me I shouldn't have to talk you should know what you're doing. Well, I'm not watching you. I'm watching me. But anyway, anyone who didn't understand what she was saying when she went, pull, pull, pull. She's not saying Paul.
Starting point is 00:10:11 She's saying pull. Pull. That's normal English. Pull, Paul. And what's the other one? Swimming pole. Pull. Pool.
Starting point is 00:10:19 And pull. When you're playing pool. Pull. So we have a swimming pool. You say that. Swimming pool. And then you have playing pool. Pool. Pool. So we have a swimming pool, you say that. Swimming pool. And then you have pulled pork. Pulled pork.
Starting point is 00:10:30 And then you have my mate Paul. My mate Paul. And then you've got pool. What's that? Like, Which one is that, pool? Like chained pool.
Starting point is 00:10:41 Chained to what? Chained pool. When pool, pool, pool, pool, pool, pool. Oh, pool, pool, pool, pool, pool, pool, pool. Pull, pull, pull. Theyained to what? Chained pull. Pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull And there's fool like you fool. What, like you fall? No, you fool. You fool. Yeah, fool. Fool. See what I mean? Do you not even see it properly now? Jamie says beetroot.
Starting point is 00:11:12 It is beetroot. It's beetroot. It's not beetroot. Beetroot. Beetroot, thank you. Anyway guys, sorry this intro was painful to listen to. Painful, painful. Fucking up my vocab, love.
Starting point is 00:11:24 You're a stupid accent. You're a fuck up fuck anywhere. You're literally norther. Painful, painful. You're fucking up my vocab, love. You're a stupid accent. You're fucking up my vocab, fucks anyway. You're literally an orphan. I speak normal. You speak wrong. I'm so much closer to the Queen's English than you. Oh, so she says po. Yeah, I bet she did.
Starting point is 00:11:36 How's it going in the pool, Charles? Charles, it's getting the po, darling. It's getting the po. Imagine the whole royal family wasn't actually posh. Do your best posh accent. I can't do posh. What is it? Oh my god. Have we got a treat for you? Oh no. Guys, have we got a treat for you?
Starting point is 00:11:56 Are we just going to go straight into it? Yeah. When I make my move. I was about to start it wrong. Ready? Ready? Ready? When I make my move. The court.
Starting point is 00:12:09 Oh I keep fucking it up. I messed it up. I messed it up. Alright come on. It's so funny though because Jamie does it like an American doing a British accent because he's Northern trying to do a Southern accent. Oh yeah true. I didn't even think like that. Really? When I make my move the Queen will take me. Then you're free to
Starting point is 00:12:32 check the King. No! No! What is it? He's going to sacrifice himself. Listen to Jamie's impression of Harry Potter go He's gonna sacrifice himself He's so good He's gonna sacrifice himself No you can't There must be another way Do you want to stop state from getting that stone or not? Harry, it's you that has to go on I know it
Starting point is 00:13:04 Not me, not you Hermione It's you that has to go on I know it not me Not you Hermione The bitch Hermione anyway, oh guys, sorry about that guys. Actually we have a good question for you We have been invited to a Halloween party. Oh, it's not for me. We want to go as an iconic duo Yeah, we do but it it's Halloween, okay? And the people throwing the Halloween party, they're going to be sick. They're going to look sick, okay?
Starting point is 00:13:31 I just don't get the vibes that it's going to be like, look as cute as you can. Like I'm thinking it's like, you know in Mean Girls- There's going to be outfits. I'm thinking, yeah, I'm thinking you know in Mean Girls when Regina, no not Regina, Katie shows up at the party and she's like, why do you look so scary? And she's like, I'm following. I'm thinking it's the Bat Vibes where people are actually going to look scary and not be like, I'm a fairy, I'm a mouse, duh. It's not like you can just chuck on anything. It's going to be serious. Yeah, like I can't do my classic cap, but I do every year.
Starting point is 00:14:04 anything it's gonna be yeah like I can't do my classic cat but I do every year and we want to go something iconic right good you are and we thought one thing we could probably do sick is posh and backs yeah but like I said it's Halloween like you can't be a bit scary yeah you can't go as fucking posh and back to a Halloween party everyone will think you're an idiot yourself unless Taliya if you listen to this and you think that would be cool Let me know if not, you're gonna have to come up something But we just know everyone's gonna look sick and we we don't want to show up and be like you don't look good Who are you? Yeah, that's that's when you know, you got a bad question What have you come as? Yeah, what are you? Yeah, that's when you know you've got a bad costume. What have you come as?
Starting point is 00:14:45 Yeah. What are you guys? What is it? Oh yeah. I want people to see us and go, sick. There, so and so. And I also don't want to do something that you can do every year, like, cops and robbers. Do you know what I mean? Oh, I'm trouble again. The Joker and Harley Quinn.
Starting point is 00:15:00 You know, sweet corn. Mmm. Do you know what I mean? Yeah. Anyway, so we really need your help. Please know, Sweet Corn. Do you know what I mean? Yeah. Anyway, so we really need your help. Please, please, please. Honestly, if you are thinking of something now, send it in because we want as many suggestions as possible.
Starting point is 00:15:13 Yeah, please. Start what you're doing and send it in. And we might just go for the most popular suggestion. Or I'll just, if somebody sends me one and I think, you fucking genius, I'm screenshotting it, I'm sending it to you. Yeah. And we're doing it. Yeah, 100%.
Starting point is 00:15:24 Please. You guys are so creative, please. With both brunette, which I think actually makes it hard, because a lot of like iconic couple duo costumes... Blonde, the somewhere blonde. There's a blonde girl. The somewhere blonde. Yeah. Like even Posh and Bex, he's like a dirty blonde. Yeah, I was literally gonna dye my tits. Your tits?
Starting point is 00:15:40 Not my tits. They're already dyed. What? What? That's literally, what is that joke? That my tits are already died? I've got dad humor. That's not dad humor, babe. That literally, that joke makes no sense. Honestly, just get on with this podcast. I'm sick of it. Okay, babes, let's get into the episode. Welcome to Lear on the Line. Join me every Tuesday as I dial your number for the ultimate,
Starting point is 00:16:03 unfiltered bestie catch-up Whatever it is we will laugh together and guide each other along the way head to leah on the line Calm and follow leah on the line on Instagram to get involved. Love you Okay, okay, so in that little break where you guys heard Welcome to leah on the line or I can't even remember what I say anymore But in that little break I was just singing and it came to our attention that I always, for a person who has experience in singing, I always get lyrics wrong, don't I? Every time.
Starting point is 00:16:38 But they make so much sense. They do, like we've listened to so many songs. Love Bug is a classic. Love Bug. I never thought that I'd get bit by this love bug again. See, it makes perfect sense. It's an actual bug. It's a metaphor.
Starting point is 00:16:51 It's smart. It's clever. They should have used it. It is, but it's Get Hit. Yeah, or Catch This. I'll Catch This, one of them. They say both. They say both.
Starting point is 00:16:59 Get Hit. And Get Bit really makes sense because it's a bug and it should bite. But I was thinking it was a little bug like a knit I was not picturing like a sickness bug when I was listening to that song all these years But that's just one example I mean we could go through an array of songs and she would get at least guarantee you are mess it up But it sounds good to you so I'll get that down even though she's like Yeah, you've got the same ability to know what Ariana's singing
Starting point is 00:17:28 the way I do with Michael Jackson. Yeah, no, that is gibberish. It's not to me. I know exactly what you're saying. What's the one where it's like the middle? Stuck in the middle. Yeah. What's the first bit? Come on, think of it. Think of the lyrics. It's like top,? Come on, think of it. Think of the lyrics. It's like top, middle, under, up or something. So I mean your lyrics are wrong, aren't you? Come on. Oh, what is it?
Starting point is 00:17:58 Annie, you're too okay. Annie, you're okay. Are you okay, Annie? What is it? You've been stuck in the middle. You've been keeping. Had to get under. Had to get over. That's not the same was it you've been in the middle you get in there Get a little same song. You're stuck in the middle. Yes, it is Okay, oh
Starting point is 00:18:11 You were wrong you actually wrong Seriously serious about everything he's human that you just got that wrong and I was right and especially because he loves MJ honestly It's bullshit. Okay guys, so we are gonna get straight into it today. The first, we're gonna get straight into it, we've been waffling for ages. So the first bit is gonna be a little Q&A quiz. I thought it was a classic. Let's have a little couples catch up.
Starting point is 00:18:34 You guys haven't heard from us as a couple in a while? Thought it'd be nice, thought it'd be refreshing. The answers might have changed. Might have done. And then we're gonna do a girly things quiz. This was sent in by one of you guys. What do you mean? An amazing idea from one of you guys.
Starting point is 00:18:48 Well I've done a few questions. No, I'm going to ask you girly things and you have to know them. Like what is a blank? Fuck, okay. So let's start with the Q&A. I'm going to hit it with this question. How long would you like to be together before getting engaged or considering babies? Do you want to go first or? No, you hit it. Okay. So for me, it's really a question of where you are as a couple for me and Lear, I would say.
Starting point is 00:19:18 I think we're quite on the same page for that. I'd get married to her tomorrow if it was, you know, everything else was right. She's the one I want to be with for the rest of my life. Are you serious? No, it's true. It's true. But it's a case of like, everything needs to be right in our life. Not everything.
Starting point is 00:19:38 Not everything. It doesn't have to be perfect. I'm not saying that. And I'll tell you what, guys. I've never been that girl with the wedding dream. I've never been one of them people that's like I don't want to get married like I'm not even that but I've never been like Oh, I can't wait. I want to feel like a princess and like, you know, like a lot of girls They dream about it from a little girl. I don't know if it's because my parents were never married Oh my god, I just reminded myself of Victoria Beckham. Both of our parents worked really hard
Starting point is 00:20:05 reminded myself of Victoria Beckham. Both of our parents worked really hard. Anyway, yeah, I don't know if it's that, because to be fair, I've never really seen a successful marriage in my life. I mean... Have you? Wait, no. None of your family are married and... They've been married. Yeah, going strong. Great. No, I don't think I've seen a successful marriage, but it doesn't mean I don't want a marriage. We actually haven't. We haven't. But I want a successful marriage but it doesn't mean I don't want a marriage. We actually haven't. We haven't but I want a successful marriage. Yeah and my feeling towards getting married isn't anything like I'm not one of them people that thinks like oh well you'll probably get divorced, it's a waste of money, like I know a lot of people feel like that and it's not even that. I just have never had that like dream. No because
Starting point is 00:20:39 like obviously when I met Leah the whole time I've known her she's never said to me oh this is exactly how I want my wedding I know what sort of dress I would like. Yeah, and that's normal I think but like you've never said oh, this is exactly how I want my wedding day Well, we were actually discussing the other day. I think I quite like the idea of getting like married in like a private way Sorry guys and having like a private way, sorry guys, and having like a huge, what's it called? Like, you know, the ceremony, I always get confused.
Starting point is 00:21:10 Is the ceremony where you say your vows or is that the party after? I'm not entirely sure, I don't know. No, you always get it confused. Anyway, you know like the part after where everyone's dancing and it's the best part? Yeah, that's where we want everyone. Yeah, and I like the thought of doing
Starting point is 00:21:24 like a private little vows exchange and then going straight to your big wedding where it's just the fun. Yeah because. And the celebration. No offence to anyone's wedding I don't know that but no one wants to sit through a wedding. Not unless they're really close family I do think. No and like. Or unless it's an amazing wedding. Yeah because because I don't know, it's just one of the things and I think everyone enjoys the after party. Yeah, and also that's what all the money is. Yeah, 100%. Yeah, we've spoke about it.
Starting point is 00:21:54 Your money goes on like this, walking down the aisle, I don't have this vision of me walking down the aisle or anything. No, no, as soon as the venue knows it's for a wedding, they'll just charge you. Well, it's just wedding venues, baby. You can hire out a venue that just doesn't, does other things.
Starting point is 00:22:09 Yeah, no, you're right. That's what I mean. So anyway, back to the question, I would marry her tomorrow, but it's like, not everything in our life has to be perfect, but we know what we're looking for. I feel like we'll just probably, we'll look around and I'll start thinking, he could propose soon. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:26 And you'll be thinking, I should probably get fucking married, Jesus Christ. No, I think it will come at the right time. Who knows when it will happen. I'm not gonna give anything away, I don't know. No. But kids is something we want to build our funds up first and we have the luxury of trying to plan potentially
Starting point is 00:22:47 at some point. Hopefully. I mean, I've spoken about this on the pod. I always worry about my fertility because I have ENDO and PCOS, so I've always been so scared about my fertility, but it's one of the things where it's like, I'm not ready yet so why stress? Do you know what I mean? We read each other and we know each other very
Starting point is 00:23:05 well so like we know what where we stand with stuff like that but it doesn't mean we would we definitely want everything like that it's just one. So this girl has two questions we'll start with the first one how did you guys meet? Do you want to do? No you take it. I have to answer everything. No you take the floor they hear my voice enough. Okay, so we met. Shall I tell the whole story? Yeah, sure. So I was up late one night and I received a message from an absolute weapon. And I was like, that name, like it just stood out to me big time.
Starting point is 00:23:42 And I was like, well, I clicked on the message and it said something like, I hope you're single because you're hot as fuck or something. I said, I really hope you don't have a girlfriend because I was very cautious of being disrespectful. Yeah. But like I really fancy you or something like that. Yeah along them lines. But anyway. Because he came up on my few page.
Starting point is 00:24:00 He came up on my few page before and then he came up on my Feupage before, and then he came up on my Feupage again, like months later, doing his little foot dance thing. Foot dance. What's it called? Foot dance. And then you go, love. What's the song? Lost by...
Starting point is 00:24:15 Fronkation. Fronkation. Now your love is lost in the heat of it all. And I was like, oh, fuck. Fucking hell. So I went on his profile because for some reason I assumed he was American and I don't know, just looked it. So I was scrolling through his profile, trying to find a speaking video and there was one
Starting point is 00:24:34 on his profile and I've always said, I just think I'm going to be with a Northerner. Like I just, I want a Northern man. I've always said it. I did a girlfriend rules or something. Yeah. Relationship rules. Yeah. What did you say? Relationship rules. Let's go. Yeah. Something like that. Okay. Let's go. And obviously it was for the, um, basically, um, anyway, so I seen it and I was like, Oh my God, not only is he British, he fucking Northern. So I was like, I'm just going to fucking slide in. Do you know what I mean? What have I got to lose? He replied instantly. I sent a screenshot to my sister
Starting point is 00:25:13 like he's just fucking replied. Yeah. And you crack heads are up at two o'clock in the morning. Yeah. Like we don't stay up till two o'clock in the morning playing change now, mate. This is is this is serious stuff there. What? This is serious stuff. Obviously, Chained is. Oh, I thought you meant messaging. Boys, now we're good. Let's be fair. When we first met, we were up till like four o'clock in the morning.
Starting point is 00:25:34 Yeah, on FaceTime. Stupid time. But you guys know I was on hold for a little dating show. Yeah, actually, we'll go back because we had a mutual friend. We mentioned a mutual friend. He was a cast and director. Yeah that's what I mean, we want a mutual friend. We didn't know him, but it was more of a case of we had one mutual and Leah was like are you doing what I think you're doing? Basically the guy who sought me, basically I did the voice okay and then the guy who sought me, basically I did the voice, okay, and then the guy who I met through the voice, because he worked on the voice, obviously works for ITV, he is the one who
Starting point is 00:26:13 sought me my Love Island situation. And I saw that he and Jamie followed each other, so I was like, he looks like walking Love Island, Like this guy is probably on hold for Love Island as well and I just asked him, I was like are you on hold for Love Island? Well, me? Yeah, well yeah I was and it basically yeah I was doing a different job at the time and they wanted me to go in as one of the first men basically to go in. But then the series started. Then the series started and you were like oh. No it was yeah it was just a weird there was there was things just personal things in life and stuff like that. And the thing is with Love Island and probably
Starting point is 00:26:54 a lot of reality TV or just TV in general is you don't really know where you stand it comes out comes up so quick right. So we were both like yeah I don't know if I'm going in you don't know if you're going in. And obviously we'd only been chatting for like a week or two and then we met up. Two weeks later. We met up after two weeks. Yeah, two weeks later.
Starting point is 00:27:15 We started speaking on the sixth, Yeah, and then we met up and then literally the next day, the next day I got home and I got a call saying, we want you for Casa Amor. Can you fly out tomorrow? My heart was broken. Bear in mind, right? I feel like this sounds worse than it is, but I'd met someone once. I've been chanting for two weeks. Like I obviously didn't have an emotional attachment to Jamie at this point, naturally.
Starting point is 00:27:42 Obviously not. Well, naturally, do you know what I mean? Like I didn't know you at all. You didn't owe me anything. You were still pretty, like, a stranger to me. It was fresh, but I was already planning everything. Yeah, he was planning our wedding. So, yeah, I was like, yeah, obviously, and I was so excited about it.
Starting point is 00:27:57 I flew out and I explained everything to Jamie and I was like, look, they've asked me to go in, I'm going out tomorrow, I'm really sorry, blah, blah, blah, but it is what it is. And also I was like, you could be going in anyway, like if you do go in, I'll see you in there, babe. To be fair to Leah, she was like open and honest with me from the outset, like she was like, if it does come up, I'm like, I'm not gonna say no because I just want-
Starting point is 00:28:21 Yeah, I told you that from day one. Yeah, I just wanna see where my life takes me, stuff like that, and then obviously then I thought it sounded like so much fun I was like yeah and I was in such a crossroads in my life I just moved home I didn't know what the fuck I wanted to do and I was like it was it just felt a bit weird that this situation had come up then so I was like it feels wrong not to pursue it yeah especially for someone I've just met once yeah whereas I was in a different position I've been single for a very
Starting point is 00:28:43 very long time and like I was I a different position. I'd been single for a very, very long time. And like, I was, I had met someone who I wanted everything with. So like my viewpoint was different. So yeah, I fly out and then within a day I'm flown home because they said something had come up that they wasn't aware of, even though they were aware of it. So who knows, who knows if or why I actually got sent home. But it was a
Starting point is 00:29:06 blessing in disguise because the second I got back to the airport, I was like, that didn't feel right. I remember being on the plane going out to Majorca. I was crying. Something just felt in my body just felt so wrong and I was like, this does not feel right. Nothing to do with Jamie, nothing to do with wanting to be single or wanting to meet somebody else or blah blah blah. I was just like, just flying out here does not feel right, I don't feel good about it. So then when they said like, we're gonna send you home and basically re-evaluate things, I was relieved and I was a bit pissed off about it because of like the reasoning that they gave me but I was also quite relieved and I think I'm half mentally decided then that
Starting point is 00:29:49 I was like I don't want to do this show. It doesn't feel right but I still didn't want to lead Jamie on. I was really cautious of leading him on in case I changed my mind or they messaged me and was like okay everything sorted do you want to come out and I was like in a headspace where I wanted to go again. Would you say I was very honest with you? I would. It was, yeah, I would say so. Why are you stuttering? I'm not stuttering. You were honest all the way through. Yeah. And I said to you, I don't want to lead you on.
Starting point is 00:30:15 Yeah, 100% you did. So then we had like a month, would you say? Yeah, it was about a month of like- Not knowing. I didn't see him. Yeah, but we still spoke and stuff. And I was definitely getting feelings for him because like we said, we had these like late night FaceTimes and stuff. And I was like, Oh, I just don't know what I want. Like I don't know if I want to be in a relationship.
Starting point is 00:30:38 I don't know if I want to be on my own. Don't know if I want to go on the show. So I was just like in such crossroads and then something just sort of clicked in my brain and I messaged you and I was like I'm gonna come see you and I came and stayed with you and I was like I don't want to go on the show, I don't want to be single, like I want to commit to you and I literally something just made sense all of a sudden it was weird. Yeah obviously you came up north to see me and then I think after that a lot of things changed.
Starting point is 00:31:06 So it's hard because I was, I'd say I was like fucking with your head a bit. Yeah. But not, not in a... Not intentionally. There was no lies, there was no secrets, there was no like malicious intent. No. I sort of like just didn't know what I wanted and therefore like that did mess with your head.
Starting point is 00:31:23 Yeah. I was always honest with you the whole way through and also very apologetic the whole way through. You were and that's a difficult thing. Like it was honest, it doesn't mean it doesn't, it's not gonna hurt somebody who's on the other end is in a different situation. I was just very cautious of like putting myself first.
Starting point is 00:31:40 Looking back at it, I think you dealt with everything right. Sorry for the coughing. You dealt with everything right back then and it wouldn't have been any different. And I'm just glad I stuck on and we stuck on, to be honest. It was almost like the door was just left open. Yeah, the door was left open and then we... And I stepped in. After a bit of re-evaluation.
Starting point is 00:32:00 I said, knock, knock. Yeah, you did. Let me in there. For a second time. Let me in there. Yeah. And it was... The rest is knock. Yeah, you did. Let me in there. For a second time. Let me in there, yeah. And it was so. The rest is history. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:08 So that's how we met. Kind of a long-winded story, but. Long-winded. An interesting one maybe. And to be fair, when we were explaining it, it sounds a little bit like, what the hell? It sounds really complicated, but it didn't. It sounds complicated, but it wasn't.
Starting point is 00:32:19 It didn't feel that complicated, no. No, it wasn't, and believe it or not, it was still really nice. Yeah, because now when we're in a relationship, it's like, God, that sounds really fucked, like, such a rocky start. But we didn't know each other really. We'd met once throughout that whole process. Like it wasn't like we've been seeing each other for months and then I was fucking with his head and like blah, blah, blah. No, it was more of a-
Starting point is 00:32:41 We had no attachment to each other, but we were definitely interested in each other. Yeah, we were. And that was the difficult thing, was managing that while trying to get to know somebody, while all that was going on, it was a bit of an unfortunate timing, but we still made it work, and that's the beauty of it. It wasn't a bad time, I would say. Okay, her next question is, what's your love language?
Starting point is 00:33:02 Mine. Well, both of us. I would say, for me, quality time. You should say all your five in order. Okay, number one, quality time. Number two, physical touch. I like when you touch me. What's the other ones?
Starting point is 00:33:24 Words of affirmation. Words of affirmation, acts of service and gifts. Words of affirmation next. Acts of service fourth and then gifts fifth. Mine are exactly the same. I'm not even just saying that to be like we are perfect for each other like but mine are exactly the same and wouldn't you agree? I would agree. Yeah I I would definitely agree. Like our quality time, this is where we do the most like bonding. We could literally just be in each other's company. We like just going on a food shop together. Yeah, we could sit, this is where we could,
Starting point is 00:33:55 we don't usually, but we could sit in silence and just do our own thing. And it's like the most comfortable. Yeah, but I don't consider that quality time. I consider that just being around each other. Yeah, but even that, I would, it's not, yeah, it's not quality. Yeah, it's valuable. Yeah, yeah. See it, yeah. And I miss it. Like if we, if I don't have it. Yeah, it's just nice being around each other. Even that, it's not quality. Yeah, it's valuable, yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:06 And I miss it, if I don't have it. Yeah, it's just nice being in your company. Yeah. Okay, beautiful. Next question. Who wears the trousers? Love the pod. Lovely, thank you.
Starting point is 00:34:17 Okay. I find this question conflicting because I feel like the whole wearing the trousers situation sort of just signifies who's more controlling. Do you know what I mean? Yeah. Would you say either of us wear the trousers? I don't think so. Personally no. I think we've got to a point in our relationship where it's really balanced. I'd say I wore them for the majority of like the beginning. The beginning, yeah. Because again, Leigh was in the position where she was me. No, I mean like when we was together.
Starting point is 00:34:52 Yeah, I would say so. Yeah, but like they do switch and, but yeah, very much at the beginning Leigh was with Leigh, wore the trousers. But I would say now it's definitely balanced. I think because I was so, like when we first met I was in such a mindset of like I don't want anyone to treat me bad. Like I don't, I don't want to lose myself again. I don't, I don't want to like, I basically I was like, I want to be the number one in my life. And that was where I was at when we first met. So it was quite hard for Jamie to like get in because I was so protective of my own peace after like having shit experiences. I was like, I just want happiness and I'm
Starting point is 00:35:32 cautious of like who's coming into my life and coming into my space and affecting my energy. So I wore the trousers in that sense of like, I just was, I was like, you were very precious of your own. Yeah. Yeah. I was precious, yeah, that's the right word. You were precious of what you, like, in your mind, what you wanted and what you, like, are trying to build. Yeah, exactly, and I was like, I know what I don't want. Yeah. And what I do want, and I think it's a good thing.
Starting point is 00:36:00 Oh, 100%, I think, like, yeah, I think it makes a good relationship. I think I don't know I didn't mind not wearing a trousers. I wanted to make you happy. So you just running around with no trousers on. Yeah, basically you wore my trousers. Move your willy out. Yeah, all the time. Heaven. Brilliant. Okay, what is your most common argument slash bicker? At the minute chained. Roblox, kidding me. No, seriously.
Starting point is 00:36:29 I think she's so shit. Our most common argument, probably like sometimes, like I've got a short temper. Whoa, I would not say you have a short temper at all. Not short temper, but like my... No, you can get moody. Yeah, the way I communicate sometimes when... You say you have a short temper at all. Not short temper, but like my... No, you can get moody. Yeah, the way I communicate sometimes when... You don't have a temper.
Starting point is 00:36:49 No, that's what I mean, I can't communicate. I make you sound like a big angry man. I've never seen you angry, apart from when we're playing games. That's what I mean. If something is bothering me and it's not Leah, like for example, if something's not going my way and Leah asks me a question, I'm like, what?
Starting point is 00:37:04 Yeah, or if you're really stressed about something, whether it be like he's injured himself and he's out of football. Yeah. And I'm pissing me off. Yeah. Like he's, he's better now, but he just had like, what happened to your ligaments? Yeah. I tore ligaments in my ankle. Yeah. So he's out of football again after being out last season for his kidney. So he's like, he's just getting stressed of it. So then I'm like, what's the matter? And then he's like, oh, it's my foot. And then I'm like, oh, yeah, it's like, all right.
Starting point is 00:37:29 That's what it's like. It's like, cause I bite a head off. So not, I don't bite a head off. No, but you'll be moody. I think moody is the perfect word. And I hate moodiness. Yeah. It's such a thing for me. I hate moodiness. Yeah. Basically that is what we would argue over. I would say. Yeah. M moods. Moods. What's the matter with you? Yeah. What are you moody for? Yeah. What are you taking it out on me for? We actually are like, I don't know, we don't really argue too much. No. I'd say it is literally just little things like that. I'm scared you've jinked it. I'll touch wood. Okay moving on to the next question which actually is quite good timing. How do you make sure you move on from an argument? It's really difficult, depends on what the argument is.
Starting point is 00:38:16 Yeah, if it's like an argument, if it's a bicker. If it's a bicker, you can laugh about it. You need to get over it quite quick. Yeah, like just make a joke or bloody like come back into the room. Sorry for being moody. Yeah, sorry. If it's an argument, we have space for a minute. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:35 And then we just sit down on the bed and we have a convo, don't we? You talk it out. See what's possible. Sometimes, like don't get me wrong. Sometimes, because that makes us sound like, oh, we're so perfect. Sometimes that will just turn into a bigger argument. Yeah, cause there's still a disagreement there. Yeah, sometimes it was too soon
Starting point is 00:38:51 and we'll sit down to try and sort it out, but actually you're still not fucking seeing my fucking point of view. Yeah. Fuck off. And sometimes like, I think over time, you realize that you will have different point of views on certain things.
Starting point is 00:39:03 Certain things will bother each other in different ways. Yeah, and I think as you like get older as well, you realize it's almost about like, just because I mean something well, doesn't mean it's received well. Yeah, exactly. You know, and vice versa. It's like being honest about something,
Starting point is 00:39:21 just because you've been honest doesn't mean it's great. Yeah, or. You know, like at the beginning, like certain honest doesn't mean it's great. You know like at the beginning, like certain stuff like that. I think like, you know like if you said something, I think our arguments where you're like actually arguing and you're not seeing eye to eye, that when we argue is about like, we get so like, why aren't you seeing my point of view?
Starting point is 00:39:41 And then you're like, well you're not seeing my point of view. And sometimes we're not very good at just being like, okay, I can see your point of view and then you're like well you're not seeing my point of view yeah and sometimes we're not very good at just being like okay i can see a point of view yeah and i mean again they're not always meant to be seen so like a lot of the time i cannot see a point of view that's true and again i might be wrong like there's certain things and like you develop as a person i think i've always said this alia but since meeting le Leah I've developed a hell of a lot as a person. I would 100% agree. And you realize that past trauma of like anything. Yeah. Affects your judgment. I think you're actually very different now to when we first met don't you think? I agree massively. I think you've like emotionally matured, not that you wasn't mature at the beginning but. No but I can definitely feel it step up. And I think that's the case of like our arguments
Starting point is 00:40:29 have reduced and like, don't get me wrong, there would never like hell or anything, but like I was a problem. As the relationships got stronger. Yeah, I was a problem for a while and I'll admit that, but it's just, that's just how it is. No, you wasn't a problem. Not a problem, but I didn't deal with things like I do now. I guess you hadn't been in a relationship
Starting point is 00:40:48 for so many years. Yeah, that was a massive part. Literally like five years. I wasn't in a relationship, so. Not an official one anyway. No, not absolutely. You played the field, didn't you? You don't have to go there.
Starting point is 00:40:58 I don't care, I don't hold it against you. Yeah, but no, I didn't commit to anyone and I wanted to find the right person, but like it was, it felt new to me. So like I had a lot of learning to do. So yeah, I don't know. I think arguments are different and they're different for everybody. And I think sometimes you need to look at yourself. Okay. So that will do for the Q&A. Thank you guys so much for sending in your questions. Now we're moving on to the girly things quiz.
Starting point is 00:41:26 I'm actually intrigued as to what this is. Okay, number one, you guys need to ask your boyfriends these questions, okay? If you have a BF listening in the back, shout out. Shout out you. I wanna hear your answers to these questions boys, all right? Number one, what is a kitten heel? A kitten heel? Mm-hmm. Is it something to do with footwear? I'm not giving you clues. Tiny heel? Like a small heel like a kitten? Yeah,
Starting point is 00:41:57 pretty much yeah. Okay, can you wee with a tampon in or do you have to take it out when you have a wee? Oh my god, what a question. Do you not know? No So when I need a wee, I'm on my period, I need a wee. Am I changing my tampon? Gotta take my tampon out, have a wee, put a fresh one in. You always ask me to get a tampon on the toilet But is that just because you're changing it or is it because you're having a wee? I want to say yes You need to change it to have a wee Wrong, nope. I mean a lot of girls do because honestly you get wee all down the string. Yeah but honestly I'm okay with it I don't care. Oh fair. What you piss all over your string? Well it doesn't really go it doesn't soak the string but sometimes they can and I just let it go. Fair enough. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:46 That's really intriguing to me. I would thought it'd be quite uncomfortable. Girls are listening like, Leah, I changed my tampon with every wee. Yeah, no, but you like this. What I mean when you do go for a wee, you ask for a new tampon. But not every wee, just if I'm changing the tamp. The tamp. Just if I'm changing the tamp.
Starting point is 00:43:03 What is a menstrual cup? You've lost me. You tamp. What is a menstrual cup? You've lost me. You don't know what a menstrual cup is. Is it like a, it's not a femidom? No, there would be a femidom. Is it one that goes up inside you that stops... Describe it. Uh, it's a cup that goes up inside you that would stop a period?
Starting point is 00:43:24 Stop your period? No. That would help? You're trying to change your answer. The wood, is it conception? No, you're wrong. It is, when you're on your period, it's like a rubber silicone-y thing. No way it's a rubber tampon. You squash it so it goes flat, push it in and it opens up to a cup and it catches all the blood and you pull it out. Who use them? Yeah they're really good for the environment I've never used one I imagine they're uncomfortable but apparently they're not. Fucking hell. And yeah. Just open there. They're just reusable just tip it away give it a rinse pop it back in.
Starting point is 00:43:58 What? Yeah. So you've got one out of three. What is a weft? A weft? Mm-hmm. Is it like a queef? I knew you was gonna think fart. I knew you was gonna think fart. Ooh, she's weft. No, that's, have you just fucking weft?
Starting point is 00:44:14 Have you weft? Have you guffed everywhere? No, because you said keft. No, guff. What's keft? Oh, keft, yeah, that's another one. Keft. Yeah. Queefed, keft.
Starting point is 00:44:22 Okay. Oh, is keft a queef? No, keft is fart. Oh, okay. And guff is fart as well. Anyway, what's a weft? That's another one. Yeah. Queefed, keft. Okay. Oh, is keft a queef? No, keft is fart and guff is fart as well. Anyway, what's a weft? That's my answer. No, it's a hair extension. Oh yeah, that's what I was gonna say a second. Okay, one out of four. What is an everything shower?
Starting point is 00:44:39 Is it like one of them five in one shampoo conditioner stuff? Do you think girls use that shit? Everything shower. What's an everything shower? You wash everything. Isn't that just a shower? I don't wash my feet.
Starting point is 00:44:54 Oh my God, question, do you guys wash your feet? Do you wash your legs? I don't wash my knee down. Do you wash your legs in the shower guys? Cause we had this debate. Also when you're in the shower, do you face the shower or do you face away? I face away and then when I'm rinsing my hair. I do 360s in the shower I just spin spin spin
Starting point is 00:45:10 but like I just start pirouette. My comfortable position is facing away. Anyway what is an everything shower? Is it oh shave everywhere shave everywhere. Shave everywhere on the body. Okay, so in everything shower is like, you might do a little hair mask. That's how it's like, serums and all that shit. You might do a hair mask. You might do a scrub. You might scrub off your tan. Shave, like, shave everywhere. Oh, so literally everything. Yeah, you feel brand new.
Starting point is 00:45:44 Like a baby when you get out of that shower. Yeah, like you've just been born. When you do that in a bath? Yeah sometimes but then but then you want to rinse after the bath because otherwise you're covered in hair and old tan and have a little rinse in the shower. I'm doing shit. Yeah you are. What is my bra size? So boys if you're listening, what is your girlfriend's bra size? 32B. Yes, I guess so. Sometimes I don't fit a B. Sometimes I need a good A cup but yeah. I'm pretty sure it was 32B. Yeah I do buy 32Bs but some of them don't really fit. Okay. What's another name for an IUD? Coil.
Starting point is 00:46:28 My fucking babe. Is that actually? Yeah. Get in. That actually is. Learn that in Sex, Head. What are curtain bangs? Hairstyle. What? Where you've got the curtains at the front. Describe it more than that. The two swishy bits coming down. So the two little strands. So it looks like someone's just drawn some curtains. The two littleishy bits coming down. So the two little strands. So it looks like someone's just drawing some curtains. The two little strands I do in a ponytail. No no no. By the way can I just ask because I actually think this needs to be studied, why do all men think that the hairstyle with two bits down is so sexy? Fucking sexy mate. Because you've always said that to me and I seen it on TikTok the other day that she asked her boyfriend
Starting point is 00:47:03 girly things quiz. I can't remember what the question was, but he said, oh, is it that hairstyle I love where you do the two front pieces? Tell you now. What is the science there? It's something about it. I don't know why. So funny, innit?
Starting point is 00:47:14 It's mental. So curtain bangs, go on. It's where basically, you know when you could, picture some curtains and you've drawn them. The bottoms are drawn. Uh-huh. And there's still some bit at the top. Yes, correct. It's almost like a little fringe that's open.
Starting point is 00:47:27 It looks like curtains. And longer. But they're just not drawn properly. Yes, correct. Get in. Okay, last question. What is a scrunchie versus a hairband or, if you're Northern, a bobble? A bobble. So a scrunchie is that one that's like scrunched up but it looks scrunched up. It's bigger. Right. Like what's in my hair now. Yeah. Typically silk. Typically patterned,
