This is Michael Popak, Legal AF, and then there were none.
That's how many places that Rudy Giuliani,
election denier, coup plotter,
MAGA super lawyer for Donald Trump,
that's how many places he can now practice law.
For a person who's been indicted in a couple of places,
Georgia and Arizona, the first two that come to mind,
and almost indicted in the DC election interference case,
this was a long time in coming.
This was the guy that according to insiders
for Donald Trump in the White House counsel's office,
he was the captain of Team Crazy,
that's their words not mine,
during Jan 6th and the lead up to Jan 6th.
He led the charge with the other lawyers,
now also mainly disbarred, disgraced, convicted,
and now are facing bar charges like Ken Chesbrough,
Sidney Powell, Jenna Ellis, and the list goes on.
Anyone that worked with Donald Trump
to try to overturn the will of the people and disenfranchise
America have really suffered greatly, including losing their bar license.
It's gotten so bad that a leading progressive democratic organization has run an ad in leading
magazines warning lawyers and members of the bar not to sacrifice their bar license
in order to promote false election denying theories
in court.
See Trump, don't be like these people is sort of the ad
with a most wanted led by Rudy Giuliani,
who led the 60 cases that lost in courts of law
all over America.
You think Alina Jaba was a terrible lawyer for Donald Trump?
Rudy Giuliani's following right behind, but I guess the bars have put Rudy Giuliani and
America out of their misery.
He could no longer hold himself out to be a bar member.
Now, I've been a bar member in New York for over 32 years.
Rudy Giuliani, over 50 years, I think it's 55 years he was a member of the bar and now it's no longer.
In New York, he really sort of didn't participate
in the New York proceeding.
And the reason that the New York proceeding is so important
is because the DC bar and the DC court of appeals,
the District of Columbia Court of Appeals,
which makes the final ruling,
which we're gonna put up on the screen
and we're gonna read to you in a minute.
They based their decision on Rudy Giuliani's really lack
of participation, failure to participate,
default, if you will, in the DC proceeding
and the fact that he was already disbarred in New York.
See, when you're a bar member in multiple states like mine,
it can have a cascading effect
if you get disbarred in one state. You have to report it to the bar regulators in the other state
that you're not yet disbarred, and then they take up the cause and open an investigation and decide
whether you violated the ethics and the ethics code of that state. I mean, every state bar
has an ethics code. We call it the Rules of Professional Responsibility or Conduct.
They're almost identical. The ABA, the American Bar Association, has a model version of it, has an ethics code. We call it the rules of professional responsibility or conduct.
They're almost identical.
The ABA, the American Bar Association,
has a model version of it,
and the other states have adopted versions of it.
And it's broken into chapters and ethics rules.
A candor to the tribunal.
Tell the truth, be honest to the judges.
Candor to your client.
Don't lie to your client.
Or steal money from your client. Candor your opposing counsel.
There's things you can and can't do in negotiating or discussing things with your opposing counsel.
Confidentiality, things like that.
You are an officer of the court as well when you sign pleadings, when you sign motions
and you're subject to the rules of that court, federal and state rules as well. That can be violated. There are many ways a lawyer can get his
ticket pulled. Rudy Giuliani just found out too. He lost his bar license in New
York. Washington, DC picked up the cause and opened up a file.
It's investigated by the local bar. This is the way it works procedurally. The
local bar in DC opens it up the grievance committee
There's an investigation. There's a prosecutor if you will for the bar committee and the defendant
Which is the license holder at the time to Rudy Giuliani has the ability in due process to make a case
He hired a lawyer. He barely participated. He missed a lot of deadlines
This sounds like the Rudy Giuliani that we know. He failed to really defend himself in any way. And so the new ruling that just came out by the District of Columbia
Court of Appeals, because once the bar makes its recommendation, then it goes to a set of real
judges. The real judges here are the ones in the territory of the District of Columbia, not federal
judges, but judges that sit on the DC Court of Appeals. It's the highest court in the territory,
if you will, of the District of Columbia. And our three-judge panel took a look at what the New York
court system ruled about Rudy Giuliani. They want to give it what's called reciprocity, meaning
you did it, you're a sister state, he doesn't really have a defense here either.
And it all stems from Rudy Giuliani's outrageous conduct,
unethical conduct in pushing a false voter fraud narrative
in the court system, clogging the court system
with filings that claim that dead people voted
when they didn't, that there was outcome-determinative fraud in the 2020 election when there wasn't, that there was fraud in Arizona, that there was
overvoting, that there was, you know, when he went off and attacked, for instance,
Ruby Freeman and Shea Moss, those two poor election workers just doing their civic duty in Fulton
County, Georgia. Remember them? Well, he defamed them. He said that they were taking memory sticks and
sticking into the vote counting machines while they were election workers and they were flipping
votes from Trump to Biden using Dominion software and hardware from Smartmatic and the Venezuelans
were involved and then an alien spaceship landed in Rudy Giuliani's backyard and stole his brain,
apparently. Most clothes are uncomfortable. They're too tight, or never actually the size you really are,
not to mention the annoyance
of trying to put a good outfit together.
Everyone wants to dress their best
and look good at all times
because frankly, it's a confidence booster.
I regularly wear Roan when I do the podcast or on hot takes.
So here's the deal.
Men's closets were due for a radical reinvention and Roan stepped up to the challenge.
Roan's Commuter Collection is the most comfortable,
breathable and flexible set of products known to men.
And here's why.
Roan helps you get ready for any occasion
with the Commuter Collection,
which offers the world's most comfortable pants,
dress shirts, one-quarter zips and polos.
Roan's comfortable four-way stretch fabric
provides breathability and flexibility
that leaves you free to enjoy what life throws your way.
From your commute to work to your 18 holes of golf,
it's time to feel confident without the hassle.
With Rhone's wrinkle release technology,
wrinkles disappear as you stretch and wear the products. It's that easy.
With Gold Fusion anti-odor technology, you'll be smelling fresh and clean all day long. And on top
of that, Rhone is 100% machine washable, so you can ditch the dry cleaner altogether. Rhone has truly
become my favorite clothes. We're on the move a lot. Whether it's jumping from meeting to meeting,
or catching a flight or a dinner out,
the Roan Commuter Collection has never let me down.
Even after I wear it all day, I still feel super fresh
because of that Gold Fusion anti-odor technology.

It's time to find your corner office.
I mean, these are the arguments.
This is why Ruby Freeman and Shay Moss
got $148 million judgment against Rudy Giuliani
for them being defamed and doxxed harassed, emotionally
violated by Donald Trump and Rudy Giuliani. And Rudy Giuliani missed deadlines and was in
contempt of court in that federal court. And he got hit with $148 million judgment by a jury
and then tried to go bankrupt to avoid it and then the bankruptcy judge,
this is a long tale, the bankruptcy judge threw out the bankruptcy and he's now got
to pay the $148 million liquidate and sell his apartment in New York, his apartment,
oh poor Rudy Giuliani, his apartment in Palm Beach County, Florida, he's got to give the
keys to his Mercedes over to Ruby Freeman and Chez Moss, yay. And his Yankee memorabilia and his World Series rings
and all this stuff he accumulated as mayor
and $5,000 in his bank account, the suit off his back
and the cigar humidor, you know, all that.
Now he's gonna have to raise money
to continue to pay off the $148 million
as an 80 year old, twice disbarred, non-lawyer.
That's what bars call people who are no longer lawyers,
non-lawyers. Meaning he can't take a fee to be a lawyer anymore. He can't provide services as a
lawyer. Sure, he can have that ratty podcast that he has, you know, America's Mayor. America's Mayor
is now disbarred twice. That should be the new tagline for his podcast. You know, he'll rail
against it and he'll make, you'll make $2,000 today,
sucker's bet of people that feel sorry for him
at this point in his life.
Donald Trump supposedly owes him a lot of $20 million
in fees that he's going after.
He had a case, Rudy Giuliani, the last two weeks
where he got dismissed because he tried to sue
President Joe Biden in New Hampshire because President Joe Biden rightly called him Rudy Giuliani in the last two weeks where he got dismissed because he tried to sue President
Joe Biden in New Hampshire because President Joe Biden rightly called him somebody that
was working for the Russians or the Ukrainians at the wrong time.
And so that defamation suit got dismissed.
You got the front page of the New York Times a year ago that detailed Rudy Giuliani's alcoholism
and how he basically can barely function
because of his drinking problem.
And this is not a good set of, we're watching,
not even, it's not fast enough,
the disappearance of Rudy Giuliani for the national stage.
And he's this close to going to jail,
but he gets convicted in Arizona and or in Georgia.
And now he's gonna go in without being a member of the bar and have to make money some other way. So let me just read to you, so on the end of this hot
take, let me just read to you what the new order says. It's short. It mainly says that the New York bar disbarred Rudy Giuliani and we're going to
give reciprocity to that and Rudy Giuliani didn't properly defend himself in this courthouse to make
us change our mind. Three-judge panel, associate judges McLeese and Deal, senior judge Washington
in the matter of in Ray Rudolph W. Giuliani, a suspended member of
the bar of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals.
Order September 26, 2024, on consideration of the certified order from the state of New
York, disbarring respondent from the practice of law.
This court's July 25, 2024 order, maintaining respondent suspension pending final disposition of this
proceeding and directing him to show cause why reciprocal discipline, meaning New York
did it, why shouldn't we do it, should not be imposed.
And his response, it is now ordered that Rudy Giuliani is hereby disbarred, mainly because
he didn't respond to the court's inquiry, is hereby disbarred from the practice
of law in the District of Columbia, nonc protunque, to August 9th, 2021. Nonc protunque is a Latin way
of saying we're going to take the time machine back and we're going to set it back that you
have not been allowed to practice law, you've been suspended since August 9th, 2021. Disbarred.
That's the date that'll be running. Woe be him if he took in
any attorney's fees since August 9th, 2021 for doing DC legal work. We'll have to follow that
story. And that's it. Procuria means it's majority, all three, not signed by any one of them. And
that's it for Rudy Giuliani. We'll continue to follow it all on the Midas Touch Network,
