Rated ESRB E10 plus. It was 1841. Texas was a young republic. Its revolution against Mexico was five years in the
past, but the conflict was not over. Mexican dictator Antonio López de Santa Anna
was determined to reclaim his former province.
On the western frontier, the fighting had never stopped.
The Comanches still struck with lightning speed and astonishing violence.
In the southwest, killers, rustlers, and thieves plagued the borderlands
between Texas and Mexico. When terrified citizens called for protection, they begged their government
to send them, of the Rangers.
Names like Kirkendall, Williamson, Tumlinson, and Coleman.
But it was a new generation of fighters who would ultimately unite these unique horsemen under the name Texas Rangers once and for all.
Six men became legends in these years of the
Rangers. John Coffey Hayes, Ben McCullough, Samuel Walker, Bigfoot Wallace, John Rip
Ford, and Sol Ross. They battled Comanches in the west, outlaws in the south, and the Mexican army in war.
From the Staked Plains, to the Hill Country, to the river bottoms of South Texas,
from the Rio Grande, to the hills of Monterey, to the streets of Mexico City,
they were called on to fight for Texas.
These are their stories.
