This is a short bonus episode designed to be a topical guide to the most recent episode of Lore.
Now I've explained this before, but for those who are new, Deeper Lore is just here
to help you find similar episodes to the most recent one you've heard.
There are so many episodes in our catalog now after almost 10 years that it's pretty
difficult to track down specific ones.
It's not a gimmick to grab your downloads or to sell more ads.
It's my attempt at a helpful tool for the superfan who wants to take the ideas and concepts
from the most recent episode of Lore and go a bit deeper on that topic.
Thus, deeper lore.
This week, with episode 258 wall-to-wall, we visit historic Boston for a tour through
the folklore that sits just outside its natural border, the harbor.
Honestly, there's something magical about the place.
A collection of small,
rocky islands that sit as guardians to one of America's oldest cities. Some are so small that
they're just more dangerous than helpful, while others have given humans a place to settle in and
do things, some of which are dark things. But it's not the first time that we've explored cities on
the edge of civilization. So if this week's journey left you hungry for more dark tourism,
allow me to give you a fun itinerary that will leave your feet tired
and your skin covered in goosebumps.
So first, go download episode 55, A Way Inside.
This one is an oldie and the first episode where we travel to Boston
for a look at some of the shadows that fill that historic place.
Now, you might think of the Boston Tea Party when you hear its name or maybe even the Red
Sox, but Boston has more to offer and a lot of it is terrifying.
Next head over to episode 64, Behind Closed Doors.
In this episode I take you a little south of Boston to New York City.
You won't hear every ghost story ever known about the place in this stop on our tour, but you'll experience some of the most frightening. And that
alone is worth the price of the ticket. And finally, give a listen to episode 40,
Everything Floats. Yet another classic, this is an episode all about New Orleans.
There's probably no bigger gateway into the southern heart of America than the
Big Easy. But that also means that a lot of shadows
stepped inside. And as you'll learn through this episode, a lot of that darkness is still around
today. So there you go. Follow up this week's brand new episode with a trip into the past.
Episodes 55, 64, and 40 are all waiting for you in this podcast feed. Just scroll down in your app to find them,
