Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey folks, Aaron here. Welcome to Deeper Lore, a bonus episode designed to be a topical guide to the most recent episode of Lore. As I've explained before, Deeper Lore is here to help you find similar episodes to the most recent one. With so many episodes in our catalog now after nearly 10 years, it's pretty difficult to track down specific ones. So this is meant to be a big neon sign pointing you in the
Starting point is 00:00:25 direction of other similar episodes. And no, it is not a gimmick to grab more downloads or just an effort for me to sell more ads. It's honestly my attempt to help out all of those lore superfans or even the brand new listeners who want to learn more about the same topic we've covered this week on other episodes from the past. You know, to go a bit deeper. And thus the name, Deeper Lore. This week, with episode 261, Attraction, we don't chase down a monster or go hunting for ghosts.
Starting point is 00:00:55 No, instead, this episode is all about something known as mystery spots, which are honestly exactly what they sound like. Sure, this makes this week's episode a location-based one, but it's also very different from the usual haunted city stories we do. The subject of mystery spots will take us all over the place. And because of that, I thought you might wanna keep the road trip going.
Starting point is 00:01:16 So I've reached deep into the lore catalog and found three more episodes that have that same road trip mood. Get ready to hop around the globe, chasing great stories. First, download episode 17, Broken Fingernails. This early classic is all about haunted graveyards and certainly doesn't stay in one place. Honestly, it's amazing just how alive some stories about the dead truly can be. Next, episode 82, Forgotten,
Starting point is 00:01:43 is all about ghost towns. Hop from one dusty street to another as we follow the trail of this legendary type of folklore. Communities always feel like they were meant to last forever, so when they dry up and become empty, it's no wonder that space gets filled with something else. Ghosts or just powerful story? I'll let you be the judge. And finally, go listen to episode 29, The Big Chill.
Starting point is 00:02:07 This classic episode is filled with amazing stories all centered around one thing, creepy haunted lighthouses. Yes, it's almost a trope at this point in pop culture, but the lighthouses featured in this episode really do prove why they are compelling settings for such powerful tales. So my friends, there you go. Follow up this week's brand new episode with a trip into the past.
Starting point is 00:02:31 Episodes 17, 82 and 29 are waiting for you in this podcast feed. You can just scroll back and find them or you can tap their direct links in the description for this episode. And until next time, stay spooky.
