the best team yeah we got a lot so what today we're going to do we do have a can segment
we've got a sack segment we've got a special guest blaine sumner the vanilla gorilla we're
going to talk about powerlifting feder vanilla gorilla we're going to talk about
powerlifting federations and we're going to talk a little bit of strongman so
there's not much we're not not going to cover gonna have to turn this into a four-hour podcast
the the strength world is going to be completely covered just flipped upside down do we have
anything not strength world involved to talk about do you you know we talked about this a
while ago tanner and we i haven't checked in on you on this in quite a while how was your sleep these days uh
yeah so we did that we really did yeah that was a good answer we never really uh i you know i had a
sleep apnea test a couple of them like last year and uh my sleep apnea wasn't it was not actually
that bad not severe not severe enough to warrant a um c-pap machine at this point in time it's more
so like just like mild insomnia that i just literally don't sleep is that what they're yeah
yeah that i actually just don't sleep so for fixing that a lot
of it's just not what i didn't know already it's just like got to be a lot of routine stuff and
so like uh you know sometimes there's just little things that i do now that i just really stick to
this regimen and it doesn't always it doesn't really it doesn't work but it doesn't really, it doesn't work, but I just, I try to do it. So, uh, brush my teeth immediately before bed.
So my teeth feel good because that just takes one, you know, I mean, I should do that anyways.
And I, a lot of times do, but sometimes I get lazy and I'm like, eh, I'm not going to
brush my teeth.
I'll do it.
I know that feeling.
And that just gives me one more thing to be laying in bed thinking about if I don't do
it, I'm like, oh, my teeth feel kind of dirty.
It's the to-do list. Right starts right yeah so it's brush my teeth uh i wear a nasal strip so i can because i
i do because you want to look like a football player yes yes or a biore uh uh actress from
the 90s that's right yeah and i wear that because that does make a difference i can breathe out i have a hard
time that's part of my problem is i i do have a hard time breathing through my nose and those
make an enormous difference i can breathe so much better through my nose when i wear one of those
so if anyone else has i mean because there's reasons you're supposed to breathe through your
nose i don't know what all those reasons are but i try to do that they had a guy i didn't finish the podcast but there's a guy on the
joe rogan podcast a couple months ago and basically the whole point of his interview was that he did
all these studies and how breathing through your nose is the optimal way of everything and like
right breathing through your mouth like literally changes the shape of your head and does all these
weird things to you so and so it was on joe rogan tanner so you know it's good for sure it's because i'll experience things where um when i say i'm i'm not wearing one
of those or even sometimes when i are but it becomes a mental thing with me where i'm like
okay i gotta breathe through my nose and i'll almost like feel like i'm literally starving
myself of oxygen where i'm like it's like okay i gotta breathe through my mouth you know right now it's like
like i try for a while and i'm going for like 30 seconds so i'm like oh like i've been holding my
breath almost i'm like how can i not get enough you know air just through my nose but so that's
one thing um you know 100 dark i my phone is off when i entered the bedroom and not off. It's flipped upside down on silent.
And I do not look at it once I've gone in there and, uh, you know, a few of those things.
And, uh, like the short story of it is it doesn't really work and I still do not sleep
very well.
And I just, I'll go in spurts.
I'll be like two nights in a row.
I won't some nights it'll be like, I get up in the morning be like don't think i
fell asleep or you know it's like i never really had that feeling where i'm like like really rested
like i enjoy it's a good sign to me if if if i wake up my alarm goes off and i'm like oh
because most of the times it's not like that i'm like like, oh, yeah, I'm up. Like I'm checking to see what time it is before my alarm is even going to go off.
All in all, no, not sleeping all that well.
But I don't have sleep apnea really as a severe problem.
Small victor, I guess.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Those silver linings.
But you have a baby in the house.
I do.
Actually, I've been really, really lucky.
Our baby is three months old.
And most nights he sleeps through the entire night and that's
going to bed at eight and he usually doesn't wake up till seven in the morning.
So that is most nights.
But because he's a baby, there's still like usually two-ish days a week where he wakes
up and usually with like one of those, when he wakes up for whatever reason, I just don't
go back to sleep.
And like last night, he actually didn't wake up last night.
That wasn't one of those but i woke up at like two because the dog i could
hear the dog walking around yeah and that was like 2 30 and it was like the last time i looked at my
phone just to see i won't look at my phone in the middle of the night just to check the time yeah
and it was 4 45 and i'm like ah why am i still awake i just couldn't for me it was more the the
to-do list starts running in your head. And I just,
I've had noticed that that is happening to me more and more.
And I don't know what that is,
if that's being busier,
if that's more things going on in life or if that's just getting older and
that's just how things are now.
But yeah,
I have that.
That's the,
what I experienced,
like what you would describe there is what like 50% of my nights are like,
you know,
it's not fun
like today i'm like i mean i felt pretty damn productive today like all things considered but
um i like i'm starting to feel like i'm dragging it right now like right right i'm starting to feel
it yeah so then i'll hopefully have a good night tonight so you you said you from like two to
almost five then yeah just about yeah and i'll get that feeling where it's not like i'm a hundred
percent awake lucid but where i's not like i'm a hundred percent
awake lucid but where i'm just like almost in a trance worried about this thing and like sometimes
i'll literally have to get up and maybe just go to the bathroom or something to like and tell myself
to reset stop what am i why are you even thinking about that like stop thinking about get up get
some water and like just stand there to like reset your brain yeah and be like okay i don't need to
worry about that at three in the morning you know that's not when i wasn't worrying about anything i was just
like i mean we were talking about you we had some masonomics stuff to do last night and we were
talking about and like part of my brain's like oh i'm so excited yeah right right right it's the
same thing you get excited for all the stuff you get going on the next day and it's like what i
actually shouldn't be that excited for that stuff it's more like you just start thinking but
sleeping huh yeah can't live with it can't
live without it you know what you can live with though a can oh so this is i came prepared packing
a can so you're not looking you have to not look at this not looking and okay i don't know if you're
first feeling it's skinnier yeah that's what she said
and i'll be curious if you could nail the flavor of this it would i would just be if you could
perfectly nail the flavor of this i would be shocked i just want to say lacroix because i
can't smell anything on it okay i i would if you honestly if you nailed the flavor i would be like you are uh you're not human
i'm really thinking here so i'm torn between something that's either watermelon or raspberry.
I'm having a sip myself.
Could there be lime in there too, though?
I'm just going to say, like 99% sure this is wrong,
I'll say watermelon and lime.
Do you want to take a look for yourself blackberry cucumber
oh wow
really awesome could you picture a more uh lacroix flavor than blackberry cucumber
well now i know i would never ever buy this flavor like based off of the
title of right drinking it though i don't i don't i don't find it um bad in any way no no it's
definitely better than some flavors you know you you spit out
wow i didn't even know this was a flavor
this is a real if you if you're putting cucumber in
your sparkling water you are fancy that is it's like the top but you did say you said two things
that as you said them that i said raspberry raspberry watermelon and and i would compare
raspberry to blackberry a little bit in flavor and actually outside of you even saying this in
my head a lot of times i think this cucumber and watermelon
tastes actually quite similar to me that green rind and really they just neither of them have
like a significant they're both like moist yeah now i get crunchy moist and crunchy and like
watermelon has more of a watery taste right and cucumbers have more of a gardeny taste
it does taste pretty good, though, actually.
Yeah, this is much more enjoyable than I would have.
I'm not a huge cucumber guy just because I just don't.
I mean, I'll eat them.
I just don't think they're, like, super enjoyable.
So I pretty much will always stay away from a beverage that says it has cucumber flavoring.
But I would never, ever get.
Like, I would buy this if I saw it in the store.
Yeah.
Have you ever tried, uh,
pickled cucumbers?
Yeah,
I have.
Oh,
pickles.
Yeah.
I've had one or two of them.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Pickled.
Yeah.
Is it,
it's,
it's kind of funny that you think about it,
that pickles are cucumber.
They just get the title of,
yeah,
right.
Everything else is pickled. Right. Right. But they just get the title of pickles. Yeah, right. Everything else is pickled something.
They're just pickles.
Right.
They're just the OGs of it.
They started it all.
Well, I think I'd give this three and a half J.D. Powell associates.
Yeah, I'll give it the standard three and a half too.
I kind of like it.
I don't know.
But the real technical name is what?
Mire Pepino?
I think so.
Is that a flavor name?
That's how I would say it.
Okay. Mire Pepino. is what mire pepino i think so is that a flavor that's how i would say it okay mire pepino or blackberry cucumber to the uh layman people yeah yeah to the non-fancy wow well i'm glad you gave
me that tripped into flavor town there tanner man that would have been something if you would been like you've been like i'm noticing saw the can yeah i noticed it is that cucumber
cucumber yeah the thing you put in water because it has like no flavor
that's right
okay so that's what's in the can now that everyone knows what do we what do we have next on tap are
we doing are we doing sack are we talking power lifting are we talking strong man
sack's pretty exciting so maybe we should hold off on that for a minute i'm just assuming the
sack's exciting you could have put anything in there i don't know what's in there it's a big
sack segment it's a very very full so we'll hold off on that for a minute it's engorged oh engorged um power lifting we don't
have much for power lifting news these days just being that there's not much happening in the power
lifting world because there's not really meets or at least not really meets of any significance
the showdown meet though is coming up later this month it is coming up yep but that would be one
of the one of the first of significance outside of like the one
that Dan Bell broke the record at,
or,
you know,
those world ultimate strong man.
There was a few,
but I guess those were really meats technically either,
but,
um,
power lifting news.
No one wanted it.
And now we got it.
The thing that nobody knew they needed.
No one knew they needed. No one asked for it, but we got it. The thing that nobody knew they needed. No one knew they needed.
No one asked for it, but we got it.
2020, baby.
We got another powerlifting federation.
Thank God.
And this is the USPC.
United States Powerlifting Coalition, probably.
Does it really matter?
No, it does not.
And this is, I'm'm gonna do my really bad job
of uh summarizing this just because i don't really care about powerlifting federations at all right um
but someone might it is sounds like it's uh a uspa a pretty big meat director on the east coast for the uspa has branched off and started his own federation
with the idea that um the the novel differences would be i believe there's no federation fee
um there's not an approved an approved like gear vendor list it's just things need to meet spec
um and then uh they make a point of like we're not checking out your briefs like we don't need to
do that to me all things that seem very very very minor right to to not to complain like to want a
whole nother meat for so maybe maybe we're just really out of touch but like i just power lift okay i get it okay if
there's i don't even know what power lifting to me seems like such a cheap hobby like i have i
have a few random hobbies and power lifting easily comes in at the lowest cost hobby like i most
people don't do 12 power lifting meets a year i I think most people don't even do three. What do you think averages like one or two?
Most of the people that I personally know that, yeah, one to two.
And a lot of times that second one isn't even a full meet.
A lot of times for people that second one is like a push-pull
or maybe a bench only or something.
But I guess I don't really know people that do more than two in a year.
Unless they're like, the only people that I know that do that,
I don't personally know, but it's people that are like at high levels right very high very high level not your average not
your average yeah big invite not your average competitors like we would be here like most which
is what 99 of the world right so right um so yeah like to me okay i guess yeah it's annoying you
have to pay a federation fee but in theory that should be going back to the federation putting on
a good meet well and i'm not against that like if i pay a federation fee i'm like i get it like i'm not gonna and also also
the wrpf exists and i don't think you have to pay a fee to be in the wrpf meet well that's what i
would say they will sponsor any meat already overall like are not sponsored but anything
that they're doing that's really that someone isn't our like isn't the rps isn't that kind of
what they're like too like don't they already kind of do that stuff that's what i thought was
the rps kind of like anything goes yeah right okay i guess like you can kind of just bring
whatever you want right um i thought and i also thought that's what people liked about the uspas
like supposedly they were kind of a higher standard for untested lifting.
So I don't know.
I don't really get it.
Maybe there is a demand for it.
If you want to really look into it, you can go online to certain spots and find maybe there is some different motives or some deeper drama to this.
But I don't care enough about it to really look into that stuff much and
overall i don't like the joke that we let in with this i don't think there's really a strong need
for more fed it's not no one's out there like you know what we're missing another federation
another federation if they were like okay this federation's main goal is to get powerlifting like
to produce the best meat where it's like a high production value there's cameras
and it's the best live stream and they're trying to go after tv deals you'd be like oh okay well
maybe that's something worth looking at but also you're not going to have average joes in that
federation then uh so it's like i don't know it doesn't seem like anything new or novel you know
you know what would be exciting to me like i I'm trying to think of any Federation news that would really be exciting to me. If,
if they announced USPA,
APF and RPS are all going to come together and be one Federation.
Well,
but then people would complain because there won't be a monolith.
So it's like,
that would never happen.
Right.
Right.
The monolith guys would be too upset.
Like it wouldn't work.
Yep.
That's true.
So that again,
just goes to where it's just like,
Oh, I like powerlifting. I like powerlifting set to my optimal variety. like it wouldn't work yep that's true so that again just goes to where it's just like oh
i like power lifting i like power lifting set to my optimal variety
i don't know it's it's just these are the things it's like ah no one no i mean and we've both done
us apl meets which is the strictest of and like i don't know even all that the equipment checking
in and stuff like it's not that big of a deal.
Like to me, like, has it ever been that big of a deal? I mean, it is a, it is a two hour weigh in.
So you just show up on the day of you weigh in and do your stuff.
Like we, we have, we've been fortunate that we get to be a part of like really big meets with like a hundred and some lifters.
Yeah.
And even then that entire process takes a couple hours.
and even then that entire process takes a couple hours like it's and i've never had a really weird situation where they're like i mean you just just know that what that you are need to have this
certain kind you know know that you can't wear spandex there yeah go into it knowing that you
don't be wearing your spandex and then they don't have to be so you got spend $5 on a pair of underwear.
Right.
So there's that.
Yeah.
It just seems like the Federation thing is so silly.
It just seems weird even talking about it that it's still a thing.
But here we are.
Here we are.
More Federations.
Just be one Federation to rule them all.
That won't happen.
No. So we we got a powerlifting
news taking care of for the next month tanner yeah there there is uh there is south dakota
meets getting scheduled again i don't know what it looks like for the everyone uh around the rest
of the rest of the world is i'm sure some areas like in california i assume like there's no
meets on the horizon there or like new y and that's those sort of places. Probably not.
But like locally, I think still in 2020 or beginning of 2021.
I know that there's of a couple being.
I think we have one in November, don't we?
In South Dakota?
I think so.
And there actually was one here.
We had Jory from our gym that did one here.
Was that in South Dakota?
Yeah, that was in here.
Oh, yeah.
That was in the capital.
I wasn't sure where he went.
Yep. So, yeah, there are starting to be more around here anyways but i do know like with us apl uh you need to wear like i think they're all required that you wear
masks when you're lifting and stuff like that that would be quick that would be a mutt
however you feel about mass i don't care it would just but just lifting with one like in a meet would
be a different experience so there's no doubt about that i can't imagine like once you're going for a
for a pr that or even when you're on the platform that the mask is no i would think not yeah right
right someone will use it as an excuse well that's you gotta that is the key though yeah
right you gotta have the list actually it's a benefit to have to wear a mask.
It's just in case you ran out of other excuses.
You have that one trump card that's like,
ah, had to wear a mask is why it didn't hit depth.
They got me on the mask.
The other bit of strongman news was that we talked about him relatively recently on the podcast luke the
future richardson uh he may not no longer be the future he may have to change his name to the
present yeah because he's the gift so he's the well the who is the gift though is it what's
dexter isn't dexter jackson like no no he's the blade the Phil Heath is. What's he?
We kind of like Dexter Jackson.
We like the blade.
Is someone the gift?
No, Phil Heath is the gift, right?
Yeah, isn't he? Yeah, Phil Heath is the gift, I think.
But Luke Richardson is now the present.
Yeah.
Because he is a gift.
But he won Europe's Strongest Man.
And interesting thing about that event, it was eight events.
Oh, it was?
Yeah.
Wow.
So I suppose he...
Was it one day?
Yeah, I think it was just one day.
I might be wrong.
Maybe it was more than one day.
Seems like a lot of work to put in one day.
Eight events.
And he won first place.
And he has, I still think, only been been doing strong man for like a couple of years.
Yeah.
As he transits,
maybe two years,
you can't have that many competitions really under his belt.
I think just a few may like three,
maybe just as a almost pure guess.
Uh,
and he,
he did win.
And I know other,
some other people that were competing were Terry Hollins,
Mark Felix,
both a couple older guys,
but then also Graham Hicks and Adam Bishop,
a couple of, uh, strong guys, but then also Graham Hicks and Adam Bishop, a couple of strong guys.
But those are all basically all British people or people from the UK,
and I think that's part of like a little bit of a coronavirus issue
that most of the people there were.
The travel is pretty limited, yeah.
But as far as UK goes, which is a big country for strongman,
you know, does put out a lot
of good strongman there was a lot of those top guys there and he beat all of them so that's still
an accomplishment yeah absolutely maybe he's close to the future he's still a little bit future still
but becoming a little more present it's like the future is almost here yeah yes getting closer
every day the horizon is near for luke richardson but not surprising that he won just based on i
talked about that last time how strong it looks like he's getting absolutely world-class athlete in
strength and in every in every way that strength can manifest itself i hope and so i hope that
i assume and hope that he'll be competing at world's strongest man this year whatever that'd
be pretty cool i think that'll be in the united states from what i understand so what i'm wondering
is will that just be like the united states strongest man or will it be a world strong
like will they open it up to having people right it also seems like
it seems like it's one of those things where they could have the guys fly over and be in
quarantine for two weeks but it's kind of hard to also train and be in quarantine and all that
stuff unless they're going to set up a tiny little bubble for them.
I don't know.
So maybe they can.
They don't really have to worry about big crowds because, I mean, let's be honest, it's World's Strongest Man.
That's true.
People won't even know what's happening until a week before it is.
Yeah, they'll announce it the day prior.
Gotcha.
Yeah.
And I really don't know how this actually works,
but it seems like maybe someone from, say,
UK would have an easier time getting here than someone from Estonia
or the more obscure countries.
But I don't really know if that's true.
It just seems like...
I don't know what the state of the world's travel bans are.
I have no idea how that works right now.
How are we supposed to make that big massonomics trip
to China we were planning on?
We're never going to go worldwide if we can't
get over there it's a it's an emerging market tanner a billion people yes exactly can't get
a billion people to give you a dollar well just if we just got a percent of a percent of the people
to all buy a massonomic shirt there just think how rich we would be would be pretty rich exactly
i mean that's what the nba and everyone's been working on for years.
I don't know why we're not doing it.
They're all going after a piece of that pie.
Yep.
Okay, how about the sack segment now?
We better get to this sack.
Yeah.
It is just bulging and bursting.
It is.
Like, the sack is overflowing.
This might be one of the bigger sacks that we've ever had before.
And it's a big pink sack.
So what we've got, I'll it's a big pink sack so what we've
got i'll try to divvy these out accordingly here is a sack from well maybe these are all just two
xls and you don't really you don't really boys really get any um but this is from our friends
at kind of fit kind of fat all right. Our good friends over there.
And they sent us a lot of stuff.
Yeah.
Well, gee, Tanner, is any of it for me?
Well, no.
I just told them.
So we got T-shirt.
I was like, yeah.
T-shirt.
T-shirt.
They're like, what size do you two guys wear?
And I said, well, I'm a 2XL, and Tommy's also a 2XL.
T-shirt. T-shirt.
Whoa.
They just keep stacking.
They do.
What else do we got there?
I don't know if you can actually hear the sack here,
but that's probably a large.
Is that another T-shirt?
Here's a couple flags on top of it.
Damn, yo.
Two flags.
They sent us each like 30 shirts.
Wow, yeah.
We got one, two, three, four, five, six.
All right.
I don't need to go shopping, I guess.
And I think some of these are from their new drop.
Yeah.
Like the Strongman Land drop.
Uh-huh.
This shirt kind of sticks out at me.
I like that color, yeah.
And then I also like this one. Kind of sticks out at me this uh is that i like that color yeah and then i also like this one
kind of sticks out to me it's the keg on it got the keg on it and it's kind of coated keg the
candy coated keg to me i really like when i think of maybe it's just what i ran across but when i
think it kind of fit kind of fat i think of this i think of this freaking pizza shirt man i just i love that's such a cool design
yep i like that one so they also sent us banners and one of them is that yeah that pizza one and
that's already hanging in the gym and then these two are i think one of them's the plate you know
the the other logo of theirs that i commonly picture is the plate that's half like half plate and half donut so both of those and then there's also a few other little items here yeah this turquoise
color is really cool that's a cool color for a t-shirt all the ice cream on it ice cream paint Like a phone. Oh, yeah. And then look at that.
A pin.

duffalo rhino cambered or the classic straight bar and don't worry the safety squat bar strap
doesn't make squatting any easier than using a normal safety squat bar if you fry or it will fry
your mid and upper back but it's much easier on
the shoulders than that nasty old straight bar you can even put your forearms and elbows in the
straps and squat with no hands if you want look mom no hands look mom no hands that's right check

Good news also, Tommy.
I forgot to let you know. Today today i cleaned the lint out of my
little your little hole my clean the lint out of my little hole here today there's a lot of lint
in there that's why we're having uh connection you know it's funny that that happened to you
last week because just today i plugged i get into my car trying to turn spotify on plug the port in
i'm like why isn't this working take it out plug it in still not working kind of like try and blow it around a little bit put it back in then it works
so i must be getting a linty hole too uh a great tool for that is a paper clip and you just uh
jam it in there as hard as you can ram it around works great so if if for some reason audio doesn't
work it's because i got a little too carried away with the paper clip well we'll we'll have to tell our guests that yeah but i do i can noticeably feel it really snaps
in there click it again yeah yeah yeah you kind of forget that those things are supposed to have
that little bit of like pop too yeah yes okay we'll give him a call here now that we got rid of the lint hello blaine uh you are live on the massonomics podcast we're excited to have you on this is uh
tanner and tommy over here in south dakota what's up blaine what's up fellas hey we are excited to
have you on we we probably haven't talked with you since maybe the arnold a couple years ago now
i think it's been yeah i, I think that's true.
Yeah.
First thing I wondered, I think we're a little off on our schedules.
We don't know what is going on for meets even.
I'm not sure with postponements and COVID stuff and all that stuff going on,
what the state of meets is at exactly.
What's the next time you're looking
at competing is there nationals or worlds coming up here at some point in time no so the nationals
this year was canceled and so has the world been so do you have anything on the horizon right now
no i think the earliest next competition would be the ar, but I would probably be surprised if that's even on next year.
That's what we keep saying to ourselves too,
is it just seems like every month it's like the chance of the Arnold
happen happening just seem like it's less and less all the time.
Yeah.
I don't know that maybe they'll figure out a way to do the meets,
but I don't see there's any way they'll be doing the expo.
And if they know in advance,
they won't be doing the expo. They probably wouldn't do the meets. So they'll be doing the expo. And if they know in advance, they won't be doing the expo.
They probably wouldn't do the meets.
So we'll wait and see.
Right.
So is this the first time in your powerlifting career that you haven't really had like a
meet out there to plan for?
Yeah.
Yeah, definitely is.
So is that like sending your, like, is that, is that affecting your mentality?
Is it, is it a weird spot to be in?
Like, is that, is that affecting your mentality?
Is it, is it a weird spot to be in?
Not really because whether I have a meet 12 or 16 weeks away or four weeks away, I kind of always train with the same intensity.
So it just training as hard as ever.
Yeah.
Um, so what, you know, what, what's your, what's your world record total now?
Is 28, is it 28, 60 now? Is it 2860?
Is that right?
Yeah.
It's right there.
It's like 2858 or something like that.
Okay.
So you're, say, 140 off of 3,000.
I mean, I would hate to jinx you and call your shots,
but I mean, is 3,000 you think you see something that could happen on a good day going forward here once we have meets again, something to look forward to?
Yeah, it's possible.
I mean, I've done the 1,003-pound bench press, but I haven't done it in a full meet.
I missed it at this year's Arnold.
I had it locked out twice, but my, my head came up. So if I put together my best single lifts, I'm at like 29, 55.
Um, but it's mostly a matter of putting my three biggest lifts together on the same day, which is
tough and extra tough with equipment. Yeah, for sure. Yeah. So what, what yeah so you're talking you're talking an 1100 pound
squat and then benching a thousand pounds after that I mean most of us cannot relate to that any
way shape or form but how much more challenging is it in a full meet you know doing that bench
versus a bench only competition at you know full meet after that big squat um you know i'm a pretty game day
lifter so i really don't think that it affects me that much when i did the thousand three pound
bench at the arnold that year they were using that rogue rack that had the fat pad and the way i
bench um i mean i get i get a ton out of that pad because my arch is so much better my back is so
much more secure on it and i sink in so much better that my head stays down so if i had that
pad in a three lift meet i know i would bench a thousand yeah so that's a good thing talking
about the pads um you know in the usa pl ipf i believe it's always a 12 inch wide pad right
APL, IPF, I believe it's always a 12-inch wide pad, right?
Yep. I don't know the exact dimensions.
Would you benefit if, say,
it was legal? Because I'm thinking, we asked Julius Maddox and Thomas Davis, a few of the guys, the same question, because
like them, you're also enormous.
It's like, how much would it change if you could have a pad that
was, you know, if you could use, say like a Thompson fat pad on your bench, would that make
a big difference for you on benching? Yeah, it would make a massive difference. That rogue pad
was like the Thompson fat pad. It was just a little more narrow, very deep and very squishy.
Yeah. It almost seems like once you get to people like your size, like that should almost
be like, there should be a thing in the rules where it's like, okay, when guys are this big,
they get that, that just that couple more inches of support from a bigger pad. Yeah.
Yeah. I'm in support of it. Let's make it happen. Yeah. It's also like, you could argue it's a
safety issue at that, at a certain point in time with the weights that you're doing. And the other
thing I would relate it to is the, and curious to on it the the bar for squatting um do you ever feel like if you could
use a say a squat bar how much of a difference do you think something like that could make
the bar for squats in the ipf usa pl is without a doubt the thing that holds me back the most
but by far um once i get to usually it's above about 1050
it starts doing this oscillation wobble thing where it actually wobbles and oscillates back
and forth not just up and down so like the walk out trying to keep my balance and then as i descend
and get into the hole it's throwing me forwards and backwards so it's it's it's harder to manage the bar and keep my balance than it is to squat it
yeah and i do wonder what i i mean they're they're using alico or whatever you know the top of the
line bars quality stuff right right but i mean at a at when we're talking 1100 pounds i do still
kind of wonder if it's a safety issue to a certain point like if they're really made for that you know with it's just it's what you what you're doing is just outside of the norm
and probably outside of what they what anyone expected at a certain point in time on those bars
yeah it has to be a they're great quality bars but it's got to be a thicker bar to get
get rid of that yeah because i think they're like 29 maybe 29 millimeters or what is it 28 or 29
and then yeah i think it's 28 yeah and then uh like a texas squat bar i think is a 31 or 32
millimeter shaft yeah uh have you ever trained with i mean do you train with that stuff at all
or do you kind of just figure you shouldn't because you don't want to start to rely on that
when you can't can't use it in competition.
I haven't trained with it before.
It's crossed my mind and it probably wouldn't be a half bad idea.
But the thing I always come back to is if I'll be more jacked up with the wobbly bar when I come back to it.
Right.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I get getting used to it.
And so like with that,
you know,
you did have,
how was it?
Maybe a year or two ago you had, you did have, what was it, maybe a year or
two ago, you had like a minor disaster in the gym with, it was on your squats, wasn't it? When the
bar? Yeah, I would say it was a major disaster for sure. Not a minor one. So you ended up losing
the bar. Can you just describe what happened? Cause I'm going to butcher it. Yeah. Um, I was getting ready for worlds in 2018 and about, I think about six or eight weeks
before the meet, um, I was doing a squad, 1025 pounds and I squatted it fine. I've done this
hundreds of times. Um, and as I'm going back into the rack I had put too much weight forward into the rack and so the rack
tipped forward you know those wobbly those combo racks sliced my wrist open I mean just gashed it
open all the way down to the tendon and I had chunks of meat and fat from my arm flying all
over the gym and just blood gushing out and
yeah it was like a fillet of meat looking at it open there it was that was pretty brutal so
i i think your follow-up to that was didn't you build some like squat spotter stands for yourself
yep exactly so i always have the side spotter things that I've used for years. But I came up with an overhead type deal where it attaches to the bar and I can travel down freely on squat or bench press.
But as soon as I reverse the weight and come up, it's like a auto ratchet deal.
Like when you pull a seatbelt out too far and you come in with it.
So as long as I keep coming up, it just ratchets itself and should avoid a catastrophe like that.
So that's pretty cool.
And that's probably you're an engineer by trade, correct?
Yep.
So is that putting your engineering knowledge to the test to come up with something like that?
Yeah, for sure.
So, okay.
So that is like hearing about that, I didn't
realize it had that auto ratcheting. I just thought it was some like a more basic, like just
spotter system of some kind, but so that's really cool. So like with that, do you ever have,
like, have you had ideas for equipment where it's either like, uh, it's either going to be too much
time or too much money to make that happen? Like, do you have other ideas for stuff that you would like to make happen?
Yeah, I would say most of them are, uh, more safety related. Um, but there, there are pieces of equipment that, that I've thought about. And, um, I'm actually, Louis Simmons has come up with
probably the best ideas. He's got a few in the works too, that are starting to come out.
He's got a few in the works too that are starting to come out.
Do you, I mean, I've seen you,
have you been to Westside Barbell and visited there with Louis before?
I know I've seen you post some things about Westside and stuff before.
I assume you must talk to him a little bit.
Yeah, I went there for about a week at the end of 2017.
Okay. So,
is, I mean,
I believe you probably have more like
USAPL or IPF open world
records than anyone,
or, you know, you have a,
basically every record there is for you to get at this point,
right, I think, correct?
Yeah, other than the deadlift.
Okay, sure.
So, is multi-ply powerlifting something you would ever be interested in doing at some point in time?
Yeah, I would say I'd be interested in it for sure.
Have you ever...
And the two guys here, we've never really used any equipment like that before.
How much different is that gear compared to the single ply stuff that you're used to using
and have you ever messed with any of that stuff? I've never put it on. I've felt it in person.
It feels drastically different for sure. It's much heavier, much thicker. I've heard that it's
less forgiving. People generally wear it not as tight as single ply gear um that's that's about all i know about
it though okay would you be more inclined if you were going to try something different than what
you've been doing now would you be more inclined to try multi-ply power lifting like that or to
to do anything raw again i know maybe for injury reasons and holding yourself together, you've said before that raw really maybe isn't in the cards for you.
Yeah, I tore both my hip labrums squatting raw.
It's probably not in the cards,
at least at the level that I used to be and would want to be at.
So I would say that multi-ply is probably more likely than raw.
Yeah.
I suppose then the big thing would be getting used to the gear and i
just wonder how much it's it your numbers are already right up there with the uh biggest
multi-ply records and numbers you know you're right in that ballpark with single ply i just
and i know that you don't know the answer to that either but i've just i speculate and wonder how
much that could uh really help if you got used to that equipment
it seems like the numbers you could put up could be pretty crazy yeah i i think so i mean the
honestly more than the gear what appeals to me about those competitions is the monolift
right um not having to squat yeah the squat bar not having to squat is insanely dangerous
sometimes required especially with a wobbly bar and then um you know just more lax bench
rules with the head the feet and a deadlift bar too yeah probably a lot of times a wider bench
too probably like yeah probably all things that would help you out tremendously really yeah yeah that's a good point to the even just not not as not even the the shirts and the suits
but just the equipment that you can actually use i hadn't really thought about that how much
different difference that could make yeah that stuff is more appealing than the equipment gear
honestly right right because you're what is your bench 1003 is that what that
yep 1003 i don't know the numbers for sure but i don't know is that maybe like dave hoff is he the
only is 1003 is not the biggest bench of all time regardless of equipment right i think maybe dave
hoff has done slightly more than that do you even do you know that even yeah i think hoff has done a little more than that in like a three lift
meet um but other than that i don't think there's anyone else i mean they're like uh tiny meeker and
ryan cannelli and mendelsohn have done more in bench only multi-ply okay okay in bench only
gotcha yep yep yeah yeah that's crazy but
that it is just like dang if you if you trained that way for a while and were able to use that
equipment and and use you know if you could get used to those shirts it would just be crazy to
see what you'd put up there too yeah be fun to watch yeah um another probably even more important
thing i wanted to talk to you about and
this seems to get a lot of attention on instagram is your shakes and so when you you know i don't
know when the first time maybe you remember when the first time you posted a video about
drinking your shakes was but did you ever picture that uh people would be as interested in that as
they are no i never would have imagined that honestly
people are more interested in that than my lifting i get way more questions about the shakes when i
do lifting it's insane so walk us through your basic shake regimen here what you're kind of
what goes into your shakes and how often you're doing that and stuff yeah so i drink eight of
them a day they each have about a thousand calories each so i'm
getting 8 000 calories a day i just make them the night before um i put them in my cooler and
get up early and take them to work with me um it just it's just chicken water a lot of times i'll
put rice in there sometimes potatoes um i used to put spinach in just to help with the color
because the color is pretty nasty otherwise.
And then I'll put in like almonds or olive oil for my fat source.
So just my protein source is chicken.
My carb source is rice or potatoes.
And then the fat source is either almonds or olive oil.
So are you eating any of your meals right now or is it drinking all of them?
No, if I'm like 100% on my shake regimen i all i do is
drink the shakes don't you ever want to just like eat some food so i mean the reason this
shake started is i don't have enough of an appetite to be 400 pounds like i just i don't
have a big appetite i don't like to eat so when i've tried to diet or bulk up and figure out how many calories I need, I can't
eat that much during a day.
And by lunchtime, it's taken me like 45 minutes to get a meal down.
And then you got like 45 minutes before you got to get your other one down.
So I don't have time for it.
So I just came up with the shakes.
Like I can just open my throat and chugger down and be done
with it. See, I didn't realize you were doing all of your meals. Like once you're really going,
I assumed it was like you were supplementing with like one or two chicken shakes in a day.
That's like a whole nother level there. Yeah, it's a hundred percent of my nutrition.
So are you making days worth at a time or one day at a time when you do that?
Yep. Just one day at a time. Okay do that yep just one day at a time okay and what is the chick
the actual the chicken that goes in there is a chicken breast that you're grilling and then
putting in there is it ground or what how is that what is your chicken source yeah if i can get
ground chicken breast that's what i do because it's easier to cook and weigh out right but usually
it's just chicken breast um and i don't grill it. Just the fastest, simplest way to cook it, the most bland way is the best.
Like no seasoning, nothing like that.
So I usually just bake them.
Okay.
Wow.
That's better than like cooking in the microwave, I guess.
I haven't tried that, but I might need to.
Have you ever done any red meat instead of chicken in those?
Yeah. I actually used to do half chicken and half ground beef just because the ground beef was so easy to weigh so easy to cook so easy to
measure um but it it's disgusting because because the fat in it so like when you blend it the fat
it gets spun out to the walls and it just cakes the wall. You can't get it out.
And then when you put it in the shaker bottles and take them out the next day,
like the fat coagulates and sits and molds together.
That's a good pro tip on shakes.
Yeah, don't do that.
Okay.
So where did you originally cut?
I mean, did you dip your toes into the
water on that? Like, did your shakes get progressed? Did you, did you just start doing
that all at once? He said, I'm, I'm going straight up shake diet. You know, I'm going to do eight of
these a day and get all my calories from that. Or is it something you slowly worked into?
I'd say I slowly worked into it. Like, uh, I first heard about Derek Poundstone.
That's what I wanted to know. Yeah. know yeah derrick poundstone is the other person that people always bring up yeah yeah yeah so i saw him do it
and i tried it at first the first time i tried it i tried doing a nice seasoned grilled lovely
little chicken breast and it was horrible so hard to drink and just oh you know and i initially
started like oh i'll do one or two a day to get some extra protein in. Then it just developed over a few years into, well, I'm going to do this for 100% of my nutrition.
It's easy.
It's quick.
It's simple.
Wow.
I still haven't had one.
Do you get a lot of messages online, people saying that they're trying one or sending you a video of them trying it?
I would imagine you do quite often.
Multiple a day.
Yeah.
Like, yeah, guys, I get it.
I've been doing it for years.
Good stuff.
Tommy, did we want to play?
Oh, we want to play our overrated underrated game with
you. I'll explain that in a second. But the other thing I, I had on my list, I wanted to make sure
to ask you before. So we're in South Dakota. You know, we're in Aberdeen, Northeast South Dakota,
but we've gone to meets quite a few times. USAPL meets in Rapid City. You've been from Colorado
and Wyoming. I'm wondering, have you ever been to a meet in
rapid city before you know maybe earlier on in your uh power lifting history never been to a
meet there but have been there quite often because uh you know people from gillette have no shopping
or stores here so we got to go to rapid city sometimes to buy stuff right okay right so you still go there from time to time as it is
now then still yeah not very often but yeah yeah yeah you're out of everyone that we probably called
and had on the podcast you're you may be right up there with the closest you're up there in the
closest then yeah you're not not too far away all right no so our overrated underrated game that we
want to play we've just got a few a few
topics here that we've we picked for you and we just we run through them and uh you tell us whether
you think they're overrated or underrated you can't ride the fence you've got to pick one or
the other um but that's the tough part is a lot of times you're going to want to ride the fence
but you can't uh so you've got your druthers, though.
Whether you give us a short or a long answer,
you can elaborate as much as you want to.
But if you're down to play, we'll do a little overrated, underrated.
Putting me on the spot.
Let's go.
All right, awesome.
Okay, overrated or underrated lacrosse?
Underrated. I played lacrosse when i was younger and i know it's like a like a kind of
frat boy sound of sport but it can have the most vicious hits and dirty playing of about any sport
out there it's pretty pretty gnarly i i don't know like a thing about lacrosse like what like
what position did you play when you played it?
Defense.
There's three defensemen.
I played crease defenseman.
Okay.
So you played in high school then, I'm guessing, right? Yep.
So what size were you at that point in time?
I imagine not 375.
No.
I played football and wrestled, too.
But by the time I graduated, I was like 250, 260.
So it was pretty fun playing lacrosse at that size,
like chasing around kids that weighed like 160.
Yeah, in high school, there can be a big size gap between guys for sure.
Yeah.
And because you played football throughout all of college then, I think, too, right?
Yep.
And did you have any looks at going to the next level like
did you had you considered anything professional after that or did you do any tryouts or anything
after after college for football yeah so I played at Colorado School of Mines which is division two
uh had a good career there uh started all four years got a lot of accolades and then the year
I graduated was the year the 2010 nfl lockout
so it didn't it didn't help anything uh not saying that's why i didn't make it it didn't
help anything teams weren't allowed to contact graduating seniors they didn't have rookie mini
camps and no contact with anyone before the draft i received letters from the eagles and redskins
and once the draft was over the lockout and the team could contact undrafted free agents.
I had something lined up with the Eagles, and a few days before camp, I got it taken away.
So I never got the shot and just decided to move on and start my career and power lift as hard as I could.
move on and start my career and power lift as hard as I could.
Wow.
That's a,
that's a little different,
little different journey that a lot of people have getting,
getting the lockout.
Okay.
So next topic,
overrated or underrated ethanol gas.
Overrated.
You got to get that a so i we don't know exactly what you do for your career and we
don't get have to go into it in all detail but uh you you work in refined fuels and that sort
of thing of somewhat right uh kind of more oil and gas exploration okay okay all right so do you
do have any ever done any work with anything that
goes on in like north dakota you know of western north dakota with all the oil that comes through
there no that i mean that was one of the busiest areas in the country a few years ago but it's
dying pretty hard so okay my work now is in the powder river basin like northeast wyoming okay so you're not a big fan of uh e85 or the 30 ethanol or any
of that oh i don't have any problems with it from that standpoint i know we got it on record yeah
you hate it yeah all my toys toys and machines uh and truck they need that 100 to run good man
yep yep all right well that's fair enough okay overrated or underrated vitamix
blenders uh i'm gonna have to say overrated because i use the blend tech okay we weren't
sure what kind you use yeah we do there's kind of the two it seems like those are the two leaders
and we didn't know what when you were so you go blend tech huh yeah i mean i probably can't
talk trash on vitamins i've never tried one but the blend tech is insane it's a game changer for
the shakes okay is that the key you have to have like the the primo blender to really get that
consistency down yeah absolutely i used to use the ninja and it's just chunks like it's just
chunky okay the blend tech like purees it it's super smooth okay so that
having the the right blender for the job is a key part of that so maybe maybe there's a Vitamix that
also does the job but blend tech for sure does then absolutely so what have you looked into that
blend tech uh sponsorship deal yet but I mean I think they should have you on board I I think
they should too but I think I'm gonna get my most bang for my buck if i can
get like tyson chicken or somebody ah yeah yeah that that maybe pay more well and also just not
having to buy chicken yeah yeah that's it pay you off in the long run that way yeah if only i knew
some south dakota chicken farmers we're we're more beef here and we already established that that doesn't go so
good in the shake so okay overrated or underrated next topic here is ice fishing overrated or
underrated it's it's overrated man uh people people in this part of the country go absolutely
crazy for it and love it.
I do it just because there's no other fishing to do during the winter.
It's all got ice on it.
I love the water and the boat.
I do it.
It's fun.
I get OCD when I fish.
I got to jump around between spots. I got to try a bunch of different spots.
First of all all it's
physically exhausting unless you have like a four-wheeler and i'm not all about that it's
like dragging your sled it's cardio and i'm not about that yeah yeah yeah and also it's uh really
cold sometimes and that part kind of sucks like i mean there is that temperature thing. Hence the ice.
Yeah.
Uh,
yeah,
but we do know you do quite a bit of fishing and what,
uh,
so like around here,
a lot of people in,
in the lakes,
there's like a lot of walleye fishing and that sort of thing.
Neither Tommy or I are huge fishermen ourselves,
but,
uh,
both around it quite a bit.
What,
what do you fish for in why around Wyoming?
Usually what's the,
what are you after?
So I'm extremely weird i lived in oklahoma for about six years before moving up here and fell in love with bass fishing uh this is like northern wyoming is probably the worst place in
the world you could be for bass fishing um but there is some smallmouth bass um i've actually
been to oahe quite a few times. Uh,
there's some lakes around here and then my most favorite place to go is, uh, Fort Peck, which is
in Northern Montana. And bass fishing is what you're doing most of the time then? Yeah. Small
mouth bass fishing. Okay. Right on. Yeah. So, and you're on the Gillette area. Like we were,
we were talking with a couple of people the recent weeks and people talking about whether there's an influx of population coming into South Dakota, that sort of thing right now. Gillette, is that a pretty growing area around Wyoming right now?
moved to Wyoming because it's not in the pretty part of the state.
And pretty much people only come to Wyoming if they work in the coal mines or oil and gas. Um, but my wife's a realtor and there she's,
even since COVID started, she's been busier than ever selling houses.
So there, there's a lot of people moving here and I don't know how much of it's
for work or people trying to move to less densely populated areas.
Right. But yeah. Interesting. One, one last thing I want to know, or people trying to move to less densely populated areas.
Interesting.
One last thing I want to know.
Do you watch Yellowstone on whatever?
I don't know what station Yellowstone's on even,
but it's the Kevin Costner show, popular TV show.
I've heard about it and I want to watch it. No, I have not seen it yet.
Well, you've got to watch it and get back to us and let us know
if that's what Wyoming is really like around there.
It seems to be a lot of murdering and stuff going on.
So I guess we'll save that for next time we have you on the podcast to get a follow-up if that's what Wyoming is really like or not.
Deal.
I'll put that on my homework list.
All right.
Perfect.
I think that's mostly what
we wanted to talk to you about today we appreciate having you on for sure and uh we are looking
forward to eventually when you do get to compete again seeing how that all goes so well thank you
guys and thanks for your support over the years and all you do for the powerlifting community
yeah we need to send you some new uh 4xl XL bed sheets. I don't think we've said to you for a while.
So the shipping just costs so much on those things.
You know,
we can't just be sending them out all the time.
Yeah.
Understandable.
Yeah.
Uh,
do you,
I don't know what,
I guess we should ask you to your sponsors.
Uh,
uh,
who are your sponsors?
You know,
shout that stuff out too.
Yeah.
So Primera sports,
uh,
they have,
uh,
their,
their main product is the concrete creatine.
Uh,
they've also got protein powder,
pre-workout,
uh,
recovery,
um,
all the good stuff.
Um,
and then Titan support systems for my gear and equipment.
Cool.
Right on.
All right.
Thanks Blaine.
We appreciate it. Thanks a lot blaine you bet thank
you guys we'll see you yeah later blaine sumner the vanilla gorilla the one and only oh what if
you could summarize that experience i just say this let's drill it down this time to just two
words two okay i was gonna go with four yeah i was gonna say cool beans cool beans but if you're gonna limit me to two let's say cool beans the
first cool beans is c-o-o-l the second one is k-e-w-l yeah a little extra flavor on it cool
beans yeah i'd say cool beans but you haven't watched yellowstone either you've said i have
not no i i've heard multiple people recommend it though yeah i've seen maybe one or two seasons and i haven't seen it all i've
seen some of it oh you have yeah i've seen some of it i i've actually been investing my time in
the wire lately i've been i've heard about that before too a lot of people recommend it and i've
been i finished the first season okay i watched uh i bet you've seen this the motley crew document
i actually haven't seen it but uh i think it's not the
dirt or something like that yeah i know is it on netflix yes yeah yeah i remember it came out and
people were talking about it and then i didn't watch it you should watch that yeah it's pretty
pretty interesting get it on the list i i was not all that aware of motley like motley crew
was never that big of a deal to me i guess just not quite old enough for
that to yeah and also but there are bands of that era that i would say that i'm kind of into but i
guess i don't know motley crew didn't like their music i mean i don't know i mean some of those
songs are still really popular but i don't know how like timeless that sort of thing is you know
where it's like yeah i don't know it's they do they
absolutely do have some bangers though right yes like without a doubt and like you can go into like
any gym in the country there's a good chance you'll hear at least one of them but right um
yeah the hair hair phase was kind of a weird right a weird stage in music i feel like right
it's more interesting just seeing a little bit into those what you know like tommy lee and like what those guys are maybe kind of like yeah yeah yeah and there's some fun
funny scenes where they're touring with ozzy in there and just how ridiculous those people were
my god i don't know how anyone lives like that yeah different style yeah oh but blaine but blaine
summer though huh yeah yeah he wasn't in Motley Crue.
He was,
he was not the guitar player.
Yeah.
Common misconception.
That was in his hair phase too.
And he had hair down to his shoulders.
No,
that was cool to,
to see what Blaine's up to and everything.
And if we haven't talked to him for probably,
that's
probably like three hours every year we'd corner him at the arnold yeah and then uh yeah i think
this last year when we are the last time we went where we had a booth pretty sure we didn't see
him that time i don't think we did and uh so yeah it's probably been a full for sure full two years
since we've seen him and blaine's one of those guys that if you haven't seen him in person he
is a very large. Yeah.
Yeah.
Where he's like very,
very usually when people weigh 400 pounds,
it's because their bellies are enormous.
It's not because their back is because their back is like six feet wide.
Yeah.
But that is the case with him.
Yeah,
for sure.
What about the rest of our stuff that we've got going on?
We do have some,
we do have like a drop coming this month, I guess.
Well, they actually have two things coming this month.
We have a major restock coming here.
Yes.
On a lot of things that, believe it or not,
COVID has kind of messed up the manufacturing process.
The balls.
Not like the production, but the actual, the raw garments.
Those have been, some of them have been really hard to get.
Especially all the shorts.
We are, all Lyft shorts, as of us saying this right now,
are still completely out of stock.
And it's not because we're like purposely not ordering.
They don't exist.
No vendors can get them.
And so that sucks.
But we do have that stuff coming now.
It should be very soon.
Yes, it is actually in production.
So we're going to have a major restock on lift shorts um ogts a few other little surprises in there with those we got some cool new
flags coming that we've never had before and in the world of shorts we've got something coming that
uh we have that's very new and exciting and we haven't done it before. And same way with these new shorts as well as the restock.
They're going to go fast because we've been out of the shorts for longer than we ever have before.
So I know when we get them first back in, there's going to be a wave.
There is a backlog of people actually signed up waiting to get them.
Right, right.
They will go fast, and we'll be right back in the same position.
I know.
That's going to annoy me again.
Because apparel companies operate in different ways some companies
operate on like this on like i don't know it's like a scarcity is yes part of how they're doing
it they're like it's always out and then they restock and it's like a just enormous wave of
customers coming to get it all and buy it up as soon as possible. We generally try that way.
Yeah.
We like things that we're going to know we're going to have around.
We want it to be in stock because we want it to be there and available for you when
you want to make that purchase.
I personally get really, really annoyed when I go to a store and they don't have the shit
I want.
I'm like, that is your job to literally have my stuff.
Yeah, exactly.
So whenever that's, yeah, whenever that, whenever you experience that, we're not doing that
on purpose to like create some additional yeah no where it's just because we can't get it
and that's kind of the situation they're at right now but in september we are going to get a lot of
that stuff and some of those new things so yeah pretty cool so yeah late uh we're not completely
sure but uh late september early october we do have quite a few new things dropping and uh we're pretty you're talking like
a big drop like yeah not new new yeah yeah yeah we have for 2020 in general we have a lot yeah we
have we've said way more stuff in the pipeline than we've ever had we've said it many times but
like this last few months of the year it that it's going to be it's going to be some pretty
wild stuff from us now it is going to be our hardest hitting drop thing
like between basically now and the end of 2020 which is not that much time left like it really
is coming fast it's like back in the day when you go to the video store and you go to the new
release section be like what they got that and that and that yeah yeah it's like that's going
to be the mass so be saving your money now. Yeah, looking for those new release stickers. And we do really have some really new stuff, too,
that's very new coming,
even just starting in this early October one
that you're talking about.
Yep.
Pretty excited to get all that out there.
Not far away.
In the meantime, though,
you could buy the other stuff that we do have in our store.
And maybe even better and more importantly,
you could sign up to become a
supporting member of the podcast should or as people have done it or as i like to we also like
to call it become a friend of the podcast you know we've friend of the podcast is this term we've used
at times you know uh like brad gilling if you know that brad gillingham is a friend of the podcast
you've been listening to the podcast for a long time very long time yes if you if we say brad gillingham friend of the podcast and you get a chuckle out of that and
because you know what we're talking about you have been a long time listener yeah so like friend of
the podcast is kind of like this this status that a lot of people yeah this exclusive territory and
we like to consider all the supporting members as friends of the podcast i think right i do so that's your fastest it you
could also be one way is to like be brad gillingham you know that's a fast track that'll get you to
the front yeah you can deadlift 800 pounds a lot of times in competition to become friend of the
podcast or you could sign up to become a mass dynamics podcast supporting member yeah one's a
little easier to do yeah um i'll let you decide what yeah you pick either way we're cool with either one really yeah but the those podcast supporters
those those podcast supporting dollars are going to be um gonna gonna be really showing themselves
off in the next uh few weeks here so keep an eye out yeah literally keep an eye out so make sure
to subscribe to our youtube channel if you listen to the podcast and
you're not subscribed on youtube go do us a favor and go subscribe on there we do put all these
podcasts out in video form also and what tommy's getting at is there's going to be some pretty cool
improvements uh really really really substantial improvements sometime to see we got so much stuff
going on in the next month or two we do just so many it's like we don't even know what massonomics is the gears are turning the wheels are rolling i mean we literally can't
even sleep at night like it's just there's so many things going on right now yeah it's all funny but
we're trying to say is we're selling in a very intense pre-workout and we're just on it all the
time we're testing we shouldn't be getting high on our own supply but we are um that's about it i guess
