Starting point is 00:00:00 You know, thanks for what you do with your podcasts and all the rest. You're doing a great job. I hope everybody keeps tuning in. You get a lot of good info, a lot of insights, understandings on how to get strong, how to stay strong, how to use your strength. You do a great job, dude. You make things better than they are in real life, I think.
Starting point is 00:00:16 If you don't follow Massanomics, y'all do it. Social media, website, everything. Massanomics! Massanomics! side everything massonomics welcome back everyone for episode 349 of the massonomics podcast recorded live from western northeast south dakota we are the lifting podcast about nothing and my name is tanner and my name is tommy let's do this. Leroy Jenkins. Some cold ass weather we've been having, Tommy.
Starting point is 00:00:48 It is. Cold ass weather. Very cold. And a little bit of snow mixed in too. I just about froze my giblets off getting snow cleaned off this morning. I didn't do it this morning. I did it at lunchtime, but still wasn't much nicer. No.
Starting point is 00:01:02 This is episode 349. This is contrary to what some people might be hypothesizing right now that are listening along live this is actually our second to last technically second to last episode recorded live live with both of us right here in w we'll probably have another one recording in person but this for sure will be our our last ones in this studio yeah this but this isn't but my point this is not our last one actually yep we have one more yeah we there will be one 350 yeah 350 the way we always the way we always wrote it up the way the master plan the end we always said we do have this uh full depth like our 10-year plan and we are right on pace with thinking that uh 350 would
Starting point is 00:01:47 cap this part of it off and uh the rest of it right according to plan it might seem like this entire thing has been like years and years of us uh shooting from the hip no but no it's all very detailed it's actually aligning nicely with the crypto meltdown that we anticipated years ago. We thought between $320, $350. Remember, we had crypto meltdown, question mark, and it seemed to work out pretty well there. This episode will be particularly exciting because we have big news regarding a drop, a little surprise mini drop. Very big. Very big. Not a surprise mini.
Starting point is 00:02:24 This is a big drop. A surprise big mini drop very big and also some not a surprise mini this is a big drop a surprise big mini drop yeah and then we also have uh exciting news regarding the potential i would say the you know the potential future of a massonomics uh 2023 powerlifting meet but we won't say more about that right now we'll get to that uh probably the most exciting news I have to give you all is that right now we are in the midst of Spud's 12 Days of Christmas. Yes, that's right. I don't know if any of you guys listening are on the email. It goes, without saying, it goes right up there in the legendary marketing seasons of Toyotathon, Happy Honda Days, Nachos Navidad. Nachos Navidad.
Starting point is 00:03:08 Spud's 12 Days of Christmas. it fits right in there with them spud inks 12 days of christmas as we speak we're on day seven so we got five more days of spud uh spud christmas and on the seventh day of christmas my spuddy gave to me 35 off four armor straps code f-o-r-e 35 and that one lasts for 48 hours only but point being head over to their website make sure you're signed up for the email list because they do have a lot of different sales that they run and they send out email marketing for they do um and that the kicker about spud inc they are incorporated if you were wondering you know you can put your trust in them because they are incorporated they are incorporated uh there's uh big alex shared some nachos navidad uh hungry so head over to spud ink uh take advantage of these 12 different sales that
Starting point is 00:03:58 they're going to have going on for the next week or so and then then if you order $75 or more, you get free shipping. Also, make sure to let them know that your good, good friends over at Mastonomics sent you. And they'll give you a kick in the ass and send you on your way and say, we don't care about those guys. Get the hell out of here.
Starting point is 00:04:18 All those guys? Yeah. So thanks, budding. This episode is also brought to you by our friends at Barefoot Shoes. Most shoes harm your mobility by over-restricting your foot's natural movement. So thanks, Budding. attributes proper foot biomechanics as foundational to his success in squatting and deadlifting over 1,000 pounds for reps. He helped create the company to provide a minimalist shoe that can be worn for anything from deadlifts to walking your dog. Go to www.barefoot.shoes to check out the best minimalist shoes available.
Starting point is 00:04:58 And while you're there, use code MASSANOMICS to save 10% on your next order. Thank you, Barefoot next order. Thank you. Barefoot shoes. Thank you. Grr, baby. Very grr. Grr. Glad the Discord was able to feed us that line. Yeah. Big news. It sounds like Austin Powers Trilogy is coming off Netflix
Starting point is 00:05:22 soon. Yeah, that's the talk of the town. Tonto, jump on it. There are people in the Discord that have still not seen it yet, but now is their chance. Was it Kevin in the Discord that said he finally watched Dumb and Dumber and was surprised how much plot there actually was to it? Dumb and Dumber, don't sleep on it. First of all, don't not watch it.
Starting point is 00:05:42 Don't be that guy. Yeah, but also don't sleep on it. You're in for a little bit of rut. Could you imagine? I know we probably just talked about this two weeks ago, but could you imagine watching dumb and dumb for the first time as an adult? That would be so great. It'd be pretty fun.
Starting point is 00:05:56 Yeah. I would love to watch dumb and dumber for the first time. Right. Like tomorrow. Yeah. I think you'd get done with it and be like, okay, so that's what people hype up a lot. Okay yeah i think you get done with it and be like okay so that's what people hype up a lot okay i think i get it and then you'd almost have to watch it again and
Starting point is 00:06:10 be like all right i gotta see what i gotta see how much sticking power this has this is a particularly fun episode though we mentioned the uh power lifting meat news that we're going to talk about a little later on we mentioned this drop which we'd probably talk about right now. And then the third thing, we also have a surprise guest this episode returning to the podcast for the first time in a long time after much, much ado. I mean, you've narrowed it down to like roughly 200 people at this point. Yes, but it wouldn't be the last like 20 because that has been a long time. Well, time is relative, right? It's all is all relative right it's a circle and stuff but um really gonna be fun to see people's reaction
Starting point is 00:06:51 to the surprise guest that we have this week and we won't spill the beans on that just yet and maybe we'll even make sure that you spill the beans they won't be cold anymore that's true warms them up maybe even in the description on this episode and in the thumbnail we'll make sure not to reveal mysterious so that nobody gets a quick uh who thinks they got to jump ahead first to figure it out right i like that big surprise there but how about the drop that uh yes we got going on because that's going to be a tuesday drop this time so we're going to go shoot for tuesday the 13th is that what the day is the 13th okay
Starting point is 00:07:25 yeah yeah so we want to give people you know traditionally you know we have our traditions around here we do we do we don't just throw everything out the window and start over we have some traditions we stick to and one of our most longly held traditions is thursday releases yep obviously but in the name of the holiday and shipping and all of that, we want to make sure people can get their items if they do want to order them. So we've decided to move the Thursday, the traditional Thursday, back to Tuesday for December this year. And we have a couple little items in there.
Starting point is 00:07:57 Are we talking about them actually? Yeah, I suppose we better just talk about everything that's in there. So everyone that's listening in live on the Discord, our supporting members, we haven't even advertised that you're going to get to find out about this drop early and now here you go this is just like so many nuggets right here uh crazy crazy nuggets so the tuesday the 13th drop consists of first of all as long as we're talking about time and it being a flat circle obviously december 2022 is just about ready to wrap up here and uh last high rap baby yeah our
Starting point is 00:08:32 and massonomics rap includes uh everyone actually the first 250 orders in this drop 200 to 250 depending on i'd say for sure the first 200 orders, just to be safe, because there'll be a little bit of distribution of these. Otherwise, we'll be receiving the brand new 2023 Mastinomics Dashboard Calendar. It's back, baby. If you're unsure of what the Mastinomics Dashboard Calendar is,
Starting point is 00:09:01 I'm saying Dashboard Calendar. I don't know if we've officially called it that. Sticky Calendar might be the more common term but i think most people understand dashboard calendar if you're old enough right and it does uh will of course in 2023 be including the phases of the moon again a very key element there and it does on the top of it though it's new never before seen artwork on our 2023 in a a new color. Yes, a new colorway on the dashboard calendar. So you won't get confused like, oh, is this the 2022 calendar or the 2023 one?
Starting point is 00:09:31 So those have been a hot item over the last year. Once people get a taste of the moon phases, they can't go not knowing them. Yeah, you'd be like, what phase of the moon are we in right now? I'm totally lost. Like, where's my dashboard calendar? Is it Monday or is it Tuesday?
Starting point is 00:09:45 I don't know. I need my moon phases dashboard calendar? Is it Monday or is it Tuesday? I don't know. I need my moon phases. So we won't. What month is it? We won't reveal the colorway yet. That'll be a surprise for the drop on Tuesday. But it does include the phases of the moon for sure, right? Actually, I hope.
Starting point is 00:09:57 I just assumed it did. I'm going to be kind of upset. I haven't seen them yet. Yeah, I can confirm. It includes the phases of the moon. You kind of actually almost had me worried for a minute because I didn't take the time to check if... I would demand a refund if it did not include the phases of the moon.
Starting point is 00:10:11 Yeah, we'd have some talking... You can look at a calendar anywhere, but where can you find what phases of the moon you're in? I don't even think smartphones would figure that out yet. No, they'd be like, if you Googled that, it would say, please see dashboard calendars. So, I mean, that's the highlight of the drop, I guess. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:29 Maybe we just ended there. And, you know, the cheapskates we are, that's a freebie. You order something, you're getting that along with it. We don't do this too often. Yeah. Freebies are few and far between. You're still getting that handwritten note. This doesn't substitute for the handwritten thank you note.
Starting point is 00:10:43 This is in addition to the handwritten note and also in addition to the you know one to two to three or four stickers you get for free depending on how much you order so as i'm thinking about it thinking out loud here if you put pen to paper on this one you can't afford not to take advantage of it just from the free pen or pencil either one yeah just start writing on paper. You're going to figure out that. I wondered on if every calendar, we should, I should, before I send each one out,
Starting point is 00:11:11 I just with a highlighter, I highlight both of our birthdays so that just the date. Just so people are like, why are these dates? Why is this? Actually looks like someone wrote in here with a marker,
Starting point is 00:11:22 but that makes no sense. Or the other thought I had is if we were ever to have, you know, like a 2023 Massonomics powerlifting meet. Yeah. And if we, in theory, knew what that date was, I could circle that on each calendar and right underneath it. Even if maybe I printed off a bunch of little stickers that just said Massonomics powerlifting meet for that particular day i like that there was one
Starting point is 00:11:49 so that all these people get it and they're like oh i can't forget about it right in my dashboard calendar i think it's just a calendar later on the year they find out it was an advertisement the whole time you guys were playing the long game i've i ordered this just for the phases of the moon and you tricked me me with telling me when your meat was. Yeah. So that's the lead of the drop is the calendar, I think, right? Yep, yep. We're not burying the lead this time.
Starting point is 00:12:14 We're putting it out there right up front. The lead is the lead. What else we got in this one? Do you want to talk re-release? I think we talk re-release. We're doing it. We're going to do it to him. All right.
Starting point is 00:12:24 Just when he thought we couldn't do it to him anymore, we did it to him. Back by very, very, very popular demand, we're sneaking in one more re-release of the Kind of Fit, Kind of Fat, Massonomics collab OT from last year? Was that last year? No.
Starting point is 00:12:42 I think that originally, or wait, am I right or wrong? I actually can't remember now. Was that, no, it was 20. No no i think that originally or wait am i right i actually can't remember now was that no it was 20 no i think it was uh that wasn't i think i wasn't moved into my house i was just about because we did the tank tops in your house yeah okay so that was two two years ago damn that was like two years ago now i think so wow time flies when you're having fun doesn't it does fly that is crazy yeah i think that was two years ago. So we will be limited run re-release. We won't re-release them after this order. So if you've missed out on the Kind of Fat, Kind of Fit,
Starting point is 00:13:16 Mastodonomics collaboration tea in the past, this is your redo. That was the chance to get it, yeah. Yeah, this is your redo. So that one will be out there. And that's a black tea for anyone that's forgotten about it. Pounded beer.
Starting point is 00:13:32 Pounded pizza. Maybe he's actually pounded milk. I mean, that's kind of the old conspiracy theory to it all is that that's really milk that he's drinking, right? It's debatable. Yeah. So that's the tea. And then there's one more item here one more item and this final one is more
Starting point is 00:13:51 of a decorative piece it's a decorative piece it's something that ties the room together if you're looking you got that little opening right now in your room and you're like i need this one additional thing to really tie the room together what's it going to be i don't have a room for another enormous uh flag and banner which i love but i just don't have the room yeah i just need something smaller that i could uh that's maybe makes more of a subtle statement but yet still bold subtle but bold yeah and also kind of classy at the same time yeah classy and also like uh classical in a sense where it's just like even And even maybe a little collegiate too. Yeah, and it makes a bunch of C words. Like it harkens back to like ways of old.
Starting point is 00:14:28 There's a lot of harkening. Yeah, there's a lot of harkening involved in this. Like if you are in a desire to like harken, this would be... People will enter your room and go like, wow. This really harkens back to... Are we harkening now or is it just me? Right.
Starting point is 00:14:44 So what it is, I don't know if you've guessed it by now by all the harkening now or is it just me? Right. So what it is, I don't know if you've guessed it by now by all the harkening references, but it is a Masonomics pennant. A Masonomics pennant flag. And it is a felt pennant. It'd be red and kind of says Masonomics in a very classical. It doesn't just kind of say Masonomics. It sort of says Masonomics.
Starting point is 00:15:03 It explicitly says Masonomics. In giant bold letters it says Masonomics. It kind of says massonomics giant bold letters if you look at it and squeak you're like that kind of says massonomics on it it kind of says massonomics but it kind of also says harken at the same time so but it says massonomics but it screams harkening yeah what does that thing measure? Was it 9 by 24, I want to say. 9 inches tall, 24 inches long. So with something like that,
Starting point is 00:15:31 you can fit it into almost any spot on your wall. I think most people could find a 9 by 24 spot on their wall. And it's going to be a very reasonably priced item you'll find. Between that, how reasonably priced that is, and how you get a free calendar, you would just be a horse's asshole not to grab most of the stuff from this draft, if you ask me.
Starting point is 00:15:51 I do got to give Big Daniel credit. He said, is it felt? Touches it. It is now. Big Daniel, stick around. We got something coming up for you real quick here. So don't go anywhere, Big Daniel uh it is now that is funny i don't know if i've heard that joke before have you i don't think so no that is hilarious i'm keeping that in my repertoire that will be a post in
Starting point is 00:16:17 itself i feel like almost you know what was uh was it you in the gym or your brother the other day with a couple of the younger guys from the gym. Oh, the blister? Yeah, okay, that was you then. They hadn't heard that. Yeah, because the one guy I know, he's told me he's done some construction. Big Caleb. Big Caleb at the gym. He said he's done some construction in the past.
Starting point is 00:16:36 And it's kind of always the joke when someone walks into the gym after you've, the rest of you have been there for a while. It's like, of course, we've been in here busting our asses. It's like, ah, about time you you showed up we already lift all the weights and then uh i hit him with uh uh you're just like a blister you show up when all the work's been done and he never heard yeah he said he'd never heard that one so that's uh that's a classic one i like keeping the toolkit just like a blister show up when the work's done what are you thirsty over there so i'm very thirsty actually you looked at so big this is a uh
Starting point is 00:17:12 fan submission can okay can do i need to close my eyes or is it no it's wrapped oh uh and this is from big daniel oh all right and do you know if there's massive amounts of caffeine in this or something? I do not know anything about that, but we do have a little more podcasting to do, so we'll be all right. This is from Big Daniel. Maybe I'll read the letter first here. Is it safe to read on air? Big, Big Daniel.
Starting point is 00:17:38 Yeah, I think this is safe. It's Greetings Tanner and Tommy. It's Greetings Tanner and Tommy. In this box is some cans for you. Oh, wait. Oh, sorry. I'm confusing. Well, this is also a sack segment. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:17:57 Okay. I don't know. Do we want to do the sack in conjunction with this or do the sack? Should we just do the can quick and then we'll get into all that? So I'll save that part. Also included is two cans of sparkling beverage for your What's in the Can segment.
Starting point is 00:18:11 Awesome. Please drink on December 7th recording. Is that today, December 7th? It is. Okay, we're doing that correctly. December 7th, we're following the rules. That is the Wednesday before my powerlifting meet
Starting point is 00:18:22 on December 10th. So good luck this weekend, Big Daniel. Keep us posted on that so we can follow up in the future supporting your supporting member segment. Cool Beans from Big Big Daniel and the boys from Serious Steel Fitness. That also includes Big Noah. Big Noah
Starting point is 00:18:38 from Serious Steel Fitness. So we will get more later to the actual sack segment from Serious Steel Fitness. But first, the can. And we do not know what this is. I have not cheated. Looks like they got a Serious Steel Fitness sticker on the outside. I'm almost getting, I almost want to say lime or something right away in my smells.
Starting point is 00:18:58 And I'm actually almost kind of sick, so I'm at a handicap here. I'm smelling the Sprite-ish flavor, you know, the lemon-lime sort of thing. Has to be. Has to be something lemon-lime, doesn't it? Oh, that's tasty. Has to be something lemon-lime, right? Yeah. Is there anything else, though?
Starting point is 00:19:18 Also, this has quite the flavor to it. Yeah. Okay. This has to have some artificial sweetener in it. Yeah. Okay. This has to have some artificial sweetener. Okay. I, I just had to, I,
Starting point is 00:19:30 I got to admit, I don't know if I'm cheating or if I'm off a hunch or if this is cheating. I just had to bump this down just so my lip wasn't tucking the paper. Cause it kind of gives that paper straw vibe. And I almost want to say fresca all of a sudden and i see this pattern on the can it's so subtle i don't know what fresca's uh pattern is but i see my wife buys fresca and this kind of this tastes a lot like fresca and i don't know i can just see like one line it's fresca that's just a flavor essentially what's i think it's actually grapefruit flavor i think
Starting point is 00:20:04 i think it is okay should we check it out actually grapefruit flavor, I think. I think it is. Okay. Should we check it out then? It tastes good, though, right? But I've never seen it in a can like this, so I don't know. It could be maybe. Oh, you're not going to. There's a twist to this, Tommy.
Starting point is 00:20:14 There's a twist here that you weren't reckoning on. Okay, so open it. Yeah. It's safe to do. There's a twist here. There's a surprise ending to this one. I was thinking this thought just briefly in my head, and then I thought, no, that's not what's going twist here. There's a surprise ending to this one. I was thinking this thought just briefly in my head, and then I thought, no, that's not what's going on here.
Starting point is 00:20:29 Oh, boy. What? Twist ending. Did M. Night Shyamalan make this twist ending? Wow. Okay. Okay. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:42 So when I ripped, I didn't know what the twist was because when i ripped the can off i ripped it from the bottom and i see the words vodka spritz and i'm like okay i'm way off and i see five percent alcohol and then i look up farther fresca mixed yep amazing fresca mixed vodka spirits made with vodka distilled four times uh 100 calories per can did you know that there was liquor in this no no no i just thought i wondered for a split second um and i honestly don't even know for sure like this little pattern i'm not even sure if that's actually um on a fresca can or not i think it is but as soon as i saw that it made me think fresca immediately and that's what it tastes like okay this tastes like fresca yeah i just assumed he
Starting point is 00:21:29 sent a tall skinny this taste this is delicious though oh yeah um you know the uh four time would love these like for real four time distilled vodka i think that the distilled the many many times over distilled vodka fling doesn't mean anything if from a little bit i understand like vodka is kind of just vodka that's kind of sort of the true i think big daniel said can easily get fresca sloppy on that you could get fresca sloppy on this for sure right pretty amazing i could have drank this entire can and not known there was alcohol in this i know i agree i wondered i did consider saying it but to be fair i didn't say it like i was just actually more worried about caffeine i thought
Starting point is 00:22:15 we're gonna get some caffeine going here so what do you give it tommy knowing what we're dealing with here like i wouldn't want to drink like five of these. No, I would drink two of these. Oh, for sure. I could slam this entire thing in a split second. This might be one of the best flavors of a drink like this I've ever had. I'll say it. This is the best flavor of these sort of things
Starting point is 00:22:37 I have ever had. This is the best. It's a seltzer, so it's in a slightly different league. Right. But this is pretty damn good. I also like vodka mixed drinks. Yes. You know is pretty damn good. I also like vodka mixed drinks. Yes. You know, of many types.
Starting point is 00:22:48 Apparently you like Fresca too. I think Fresca is probably all right, I guess. It wasn't really positive, but this is delicious. This is very good. It really is. I'm pretty impressed. So after all those rave reviews, I'll give it about a 3.5. I guess out of our 5.0 scale,'ll go four i'm not going about i'm not gonna give it a four and a half i'm like this is on a
Starting point is 00:23:12 slightly different scoring this is on a different scale it's i think on that scale it's a four it's a uh graded on a curve i still don't get how there's alcohol in this like it just i would actually love to have a regular fresca next to me and be like what is different about these two and is there actually a difference i feel like i can just barely tell that the vodka's there though and maybe i'm just just barely sick enough that i just can't quite get that wow amazing yeah impressive stuff here good job big big daniel is vodka spritz is that the brand i'm still not totally convinced fresh or is it fresca mixed oh no i think it's fresca mixed well it's a good question actually
Starting point is 00:23:58 well i don't know there is no way of knowing that no one will ever know no we will never know the answer to that don't even bother looking it up um not pretty good though thank you big daniel um do we want to do the sack segment now then what are we looking at oh well let's save the sack okay a little bit we'll come back to that daniel get double spotlight on that we'll come back to the thank you big daniel wow it That's maybe one of the most surprised twist cans we ever had on this show. Yeah. Outside of like the first time when I gave you, what was it? Like an Ultra or whatever they were.
Starting point is 00:24:35 And then you build it up and go, there's alcohol. That was a good can submission though. Maybe best can submission we've gotten a while i think uh okay how about a quick supporting our supporting members as long as we've been teasing that uh here let's tease it out a little bit more before we get to you know our surprise guest and you know if we have time before that we'd maybe mention meat news if there's any of that or let's or should we say supporting our supporting members for next episode maybe we can save that okay because we do have some stuff to cover here so okay so we do have some things uh we talked about the new drop of course it's not when we would talk about the meat news if there was meat news yeah meat news uh like where we talk about hot wings and
Starting point is 00:25:28 spare ribs and that sort of thing all of our meat news all the all the good meats that are going on so the question has been circulating now for several months about what the rumor mill the rumor mill has been going on millen what is this about a potential 2023 massonomics uh powerlifting meeting we've kind of been and yes before people ask yes the aberdeen american news has been asking about us every day the aberdeen magazine has been asking us about it every day saying we want to run articles everyone's got to wait and listen to the podcast to find out no one's getting special treatment and we put out a few deadlines at one point in time we eventually said we got to decide by the end of November. And when we said decide by the end of November,
Starting point is 00:26:09 it's like, okay, we got to start talking about it. November, you got to wait your turn too. Yeah, so everything has been, not everything. There has been decisions made. There has been decisions made on the future. Early pre-planning stages of decisions have been made. Yeah, so do you want to break the good or bad news depending on how you look at it well i guess i'll just come out and
Starting point is 00:26:30 say it yeah there will be a massonomics powerlifting meet it's happening 2023 there is going to be a massonomics powerlifting meet in 2023 the date is set. Set in stone. It is Saturday, July 22nd, right here in western northeast South Dakota. The venue has been selected. A lot of details about it. I guess I don't know what all details we get into now but uh big dave is the uspa so it will be a uspa sanctioned power lifting meet and big day is the north dakota uspa chair and as of recently he's also the south dakota uspa chair if he was both so he'll be running that uh that part
Starting point is 00:27:18 of it for us you know he's going to be handling the judging the the meat equipment you know a lot of the important formalities all that right the stuff that really we we don't we don't want to do it yeah exactly and we are going to you know do a bunch in the mark terms of marketing it uh getting people to come do this meet you know maybe getting a few special uh guest friends to come come check it out and maybe lift a little bit there too and uh getting some vendor boosts in maybe yeah we got t-shirts programs yeah we have and the party yes that's because it's so it is a part there the plan now is that it's a meet and an after party kind of thrown into one all together and then also there will be an after
Starting point is 00:28:05 party too but uh yes an after after party yeah so this um like i think uh big joey even had it in there he said if i don't compete can i show up anyways absolutely like this is this is the type of thing you would want to show up to even if you're not competing like if you were to give this an even more informal name would be the 2023 massonomics uh lift uh power lifting meet hangout party discord meetup podcast all in person um it's all that stuff so yeah if you're uh you're wondering you know oh am i is is this type of thing where it's like only elite lifters are they coming to it like no absolutely not that's not the goal the intention is to draw in as many people in that want to have, want to come compete in a good meet and also have a lot of fun along with it and of lifters of all different experience and strength levels. And that's not the goal. We're not, this isn't, you know, the big dogs. big dogs.
Starting point is 00:29:03 No, we're not taking it. Yeah, we're taking it seriously. And they're like, yeah, we're serious about having a good time and like having good lifts and going out there and doing your thing. But there is a good chance that anyone lifting in this thing, you, whether you're a Discord person
Starting point is 00:29:16 or someone that goes to Masonomics Gym or just someone else from the area, if you don't know 90% of the people the minute you show up, by the time the day's done, you will know 90% of the people, if not every single up by the time the day's done, you will know 90% of the people. If not every single person, right.
Starting point is 00:29:27 It is going to be the closest thing you can get to like an, like an in gym meet. Like it's going to be so much fun. We were both talking about how just, we feel like out of respect for like how much stuff is going on. We shouldn't do the meat. Right. Just,
Starting point is 00:29:42 there's so many other things for us to just check out and be like, no, doing but it's tough for us because it's gonna we know how fun it's gonna be this would be for sure there would never of all the meats i've done before and i've done some fun ones and so have you but this wouldn't hold none of them would hold a candle to the experience you know like i'm not saying that like to hype it up i'm saying that just as a personal thing it's in our backyard it's it almost makes me sick to not do it i know like we even said even if like our third attempt was just like 90 right like it would still be so fun but we just there's so many other things going on it's really hard to do that especially when it's an all-day thing too right but we'll be able you know regardless of that
Starting point is 00:30:18 we'll be able to get it we'll be doing a lot of different things that day but we can probably you know do some announcing do just some uh back slapping and uh you know some fun stuff so yeah we got that we'll have a booth going selling merch someone in the discord asked july 22nd yes july 22nd is the date uh it's going to be a one-day meet and it's going to be uspa sanctioned and we are looking at a cap of 60 lifters and it is also an untested meet right just for the sake of making life easy for everyone for the sake of being able to be inclusive to anyone regardless of where you're at on the that it's untested in the sense that we just want it to be anyone to be able to come and do this regardless we don't care what you're doing in that way we just want you to come at to this meet and have fun so it's going to be uh capped at 60 lifters and we think that that's going to fill up
Starting point is 00:31:12 quickly but what we're going to do is open it up first to our supporting members so you will get the first crack at supporting members and i think gym members are going to have the first. Gym members and supporting members will get the first crack at signing up. Now, the window won't stay open for a long period of time, but you will get the first window, you know, whether that's a week or two weeks or 10 days or four days. We don't know what that is. Four hours. Yeah, or 30 minutes.
Starting point is 00:31:43 But you will get the first crack. So our hope is that we get people, you know, long time podcast, podcast listeners that come in from all over the, all over the place. The more, the crazy,
Starting point is 00:31:56 they're already saying they're looking at flights. I would just tell people right now, flights to Aberdeen can be very expensive. We do have an airport. It is Delta. I can be very expensive. If just depending on how resourceful you want to be with traveling, your other airport options would be Sioux Falls or Fargo
Starting point is 00:32:13 are the next two big ones. Those are both about a three-hour drive. But you're looking at a three-hour drive, so you'd have to rent a car. There is also, depending on where you live, there is Watertown, South Dakota. But I think they only go to Chicago and Denver. Depending on how far you're coming from
Starting point is 00:32:26 and what you're looking at, you could fly into Minneapolis. That's a five-hour drive. If it's a scenario where maybe you're meeting up with three other people. Yeah, if you were going to meet up with people, I could see how Fargo, Minneapolis, or Sioux Falls would be possible options.
Starting point is 00:32:43 If you're going to rent a car and carpool, you could actually save a lot of money that way yeah big nathan uh from water to watertown native so watertown uh goes comes from chicago and denver fly into there so so and those options what we're excited about is we're getting this out it's december right now beginning of december so we got january february march april may june july like seven and a half months until this so we're allowing the time for planning on this thing because we are anticipating that some people will be coming from a ways away which that's just going to make it even more fun absolutely uh this is being held uh we'll say the venue does have a bar in it so that was what an important piece for us there will be a bar i think it's safe to say there will be a keg that comes out before the meat is done yeah our
Starting point is 00:33:29 our initial we got a lot of things to work out on this but we just spent spit pawing ideas and we think we'd roll out the first keg um when deadlift start i think so like we and it'll be you know uh there and there will also be a bar open. So if you're not into the western, northeast, South Dakota's finest light lager, you could also be ordering whatever you want to. But that's the type of feeling I think that it's going to have. And after that, once the meat is done, we can take pictures by the Qdoba Rock. We can go to Taco John's. We can go the, we can take pictures by the Qdoba rock. We can go to taco Johns.
Starting point is 00:34:06 We can top shelf at the top shelf at the zoo. We can do it all. Like there's almost no limit to what can happen. So yeah, no, we'll do some fun things as far as prizes. We'll party cast be recorded. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:34:17 We don't want to get, I don't know if the world's ready for another, a second iteration of the party cast catering by Arby's. Maybe we can bring it. Anything's possible. We could bring a, you know, get a food truck or someone like that to come in or something too.
Starting point is 00:34:33 We have options there. So there'll be more coming on that in the future as well. And of course, everyone will also get to see the gym too. That's true. Yep. The gym get, get your picture and try some double
Starting point is 00:34:46 dipped wings there's just so many things we'll have just slabs of tiger meat sitting around for people yes unlimited like right before squats it's breakfast yeah breakfast for everyone so we're excited about it we got ideas as far as cameramen and you know pictures and just documenting the day and it's going to be it's it is a power lifting meet but it's more just like uh massonomics extravaganza a day of a day a weekend of massonomics yeah this could actually be the biggest tourism day of the entire year for aberdeen i am really excited it's like you know when you go to the airport and there's a banner it says welcome hunters yeahters. Yeah, it'll be like,
Starting point is 00:35:25 Welcome Powerlifters. Welcome Lifters. Welcome Crew. Yeah. We might have to talk to them and see if we can line that up. The official name is yet to come of the B-2. Yeah, yeah. But we do have to decide that soon
Starting point is 00:35:36 because registration will be through like the USPA website and all that's got to be on there and in their calendar. But that'll all be coming pretty soon for so stay tuned for more of the some of the more finished details around this and we i'll say this if you're um if you're a uh discord if you're a supporting member and you show up to this you come and you participate oh you're gonna have we'll give you a second free calendar
Starting point is 00:36:04 you're just gonna put that out there like that huh well we might be out of the calendar it's a free sticker pack okay yeah we'll think about that one okay we'll see we'll see how stickers are sitting in seven months eight months so that was really cool exciting moon we are genuinely super excited about this and like it's kind of gonna be uh we haven't this this event is like just gonna be such a cool thing that we haven't really done for a while we haven't it's kind of going to be uh we haven't this this event is like just going to be such a cool thing that we haven't really done for a while we haven't it's been since 2018 since we did the strongman showdown and that was always really fun but this with our the whole community of like bringing in this now established massonomics community into it makes this so much more exciting and you know we we i mean we're going to promote this hard there's a decent chance you
Starting point is 00:36:44 could be lifting in front of a good-sized crowd even to a good-sized crowd and people in aberdeen are always looking for something to do there could be a few people there too watching or maybe even participating in some ways like some of our existing relationships yeah we're looking for some special guests too so we might have uh some some surprise people and like i don't know i just i would not want to miss out on it. If you're into, if you are into massonomics. If you're in the continent, actually, if you're in North America,
Starting point is 00:37:12 it's kind of where you want to be on July 22nd. For sure. Stay tuned for more special guest announcements. But, do you want to hear about, speaking of our sponsors and people we'd like to see at our July 22nd Massonomics meet would you like to hear more from my friends at
Starting point is 00:37:34 the Strength Co. I would love nothing more than to hear from the Strength Co. because I kind of wanted to tell you about the Strength Co. but then I thought about it and then like I was like why would I tell you about the Strength Co but then i thought about it and then like i was like why would i tell you about the strength co when i could have somebody else just do it so much better right this is the strength company we've set out to build a better barbell plate on american soil we ended up here at wisconsin's legendary waka Foundry. Starting point is 00:38:38 Stay tuned for the Strength Co. booth at the Maths and Amics powerlifting meet that they have not committed to yet in any way. We signed the paperwork for them, so they don't know it yet, but they're going to have a booth there. So if you hear this, Grant, Big Grant, you're on notice. We are expecting you. Starting point is 00:40:07 Thank you. Swiss link. Ah, since my wife doesn't listen to this, I kept thinking about ordering a Swiss link wool blanket for Christmas and I forgot. And I wonder if I can still get it in time. I need to actually accidentally ordered her that,
Starting point is 00:40:21 uh, that gas mask instead. Like, Oh, the gas mask and the needle fuel can in my car. I had a gas mask and a natal fuel can in my car. I'm like, there's something else. There's something else. It was the gas mask. Like, here you go, honey.
Starting point is 00:40:35 There's still time left. I'm going to get one of those wool blankets. Now we do have a very special guest. A very secret, top secret guest. Say goodbye to the Discord. Tommy, do you have any guesses of who the special guest might be?
Starting point is 00:40:50 I could only guess. I can only guess at this point. We'll give it a try. Let's see if he or she is answering. Hello, friends. Hi, you are live on the Massanomics podcast, but we've been playing coy with our listeners up to this point that it's just been a surprise guest, so they don't know unless they recognize your voice
Starting point is 00:41:14 from that first couple words who this is. Well, let's do a little test. Yeah. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to this week's episode of the Massanomics podcast. I'm your host, insert name here over there next to me is tanner over there over there with the hair is tommy fellas how you guys doing oh that was like a trip down memory lane like where are we so for anyone that hasn't guessed it right now, guessed it by now, the special secret surprise guest this week
Starting point is 00:41:46 is none other than Big Tyler Effenstone. Mr. Effenstein himself. Thanks for having me on, fellas. Long time no podcast, eh? I know, I know. I see you all enough around town here, but yeah, we haven't got on the air. I think last time we came on the air was on a stiller
Starting point is 00:42:01 in fucking Austria. That's what we were saying. Episode 200, we did some special calls. You know, we talked to you and Dan Bell and a few other people. So that would have been 149 episodes ago. Jesus. Do you know the number, podcast number, the last one that you were, you know, full-time hosting before you left?
Starting point is 00:42:22 Do you know what number it was? Well, I'll tell you. I have a mathematical formula in which i figured out because i've done enough podcasts to know that i move on around 120 to 140 yep every show i do in that range i get about two and a half years all right next thing and so yeah i think that's about when it was, right? It's the stone algorithm. Yeah, it really is. It's like an ADD fucking algorithm. It's like, I am next.
Starting point is 00:42:51 Is the audio being silly? It's a little goofy right now, but what are you over? Is that me? What are you over in a tin box over there? Tell you what, let me switch my stuff to my, not the AirPods. Give me just a second. Okay. Steve Jobs doesn't want to
Starting point is 00:43:07 hear me all right. A little bit better now? Yeah. I'm glad I said something that was like you're in the room. Yeah. Honest to God, the AirPod thing,
Starting point is 00:43:14 it's a beard thing, I think. I think it just gets drowned in my facial hair and it sounds like I'm talking through hair or something. It's dramatically better. It's actually crazy.
Starting point is 00:43:24 That might be up there with maybe one of the biggest audio transformations we've had on this podcast ever since since you got rid of the uh antique equipment we did 130 episodes so it was episode 124 was your fight i'm right to check before so that was uh i think i i can't remember it was like august of 2018 nuts yeah that's like over four years ago that's crazy that's wild i was i was i was just thinking about this when you had messaged me this today what's been funny since since the time that we've you know that you guys have continued doing the show and you guys have done such like a you know you guys have done a good job building the brand and
Starting point is 00:44:05 staying consistent and tommy's rocked out some badass designs and all the shit in the meantime but what's hilarious is i've traveled a lot i've been all over the world yeah and i see people in massonomics shirts everywhere like all the time in in every country every coast and all the shit and every year that goes by these motherfuckers don't recognize me at all i'm like you don't it's it's like it's like the saddest shit you'll see some guy at an airport in a massanomics shirt i'm like i'll like think i'm giving him a moment yeah he's like who are you and the guy's just like yeah whatever yeah weirdo get away from me yeah it's kind of like do you want an autograph maybe and and yeah well yeah it's it's really
Starting point is 00:44:48 funny these young pups they don't have a clue anymore well and we consider those you know people that haven't listened to the entire bat catalog aren't purists you know they're not like like there's a pretty loyal there's it no doubt a very close loyal massonomics uh following like especially of the podcast but some people you know like they didn't jump in until oh 300 right 300 which to me i'm like that was yesterday you know it was really a year ago but like they're just new to that they haven't heard the first 300 episodes so it's always a trip for these people that uh i think when they've listened to this for you know a year or two and then they go back and like, there's, and all these different to like styles of listening to it that people talk about that they're like, yeah, I jumped in at 300.
Starting point is 00:45:31 So I listened to up until then and then all the new ones each week. But then I was also slowly listening in reverse from two 99. Listening in reverse is insane. Right. But at least like the people that just cherry picked, they're like, I just picked guests randomly. Right. Or like like guests that i liked and after i listened to like 15 guests i decided oh now i'll just start getting caught up that is another people out i think too yeah yeah well if it's like i think guests represent let's just be honest like as far as like percentage of
Starting point is 00:45:59 time oh it's very minimal like like if you're just like oh i really want to get in with this guy i want to get this deep this deep dive we'll prepare for 45 minutes of not that yes and then like maybe 15 minutes of that and then another 45 minutes of not that yeah that's fucking crazy i tell you this the thing that scares me the most is the repeatonomics account oh good that's what yeah i don't know if you're aware they do great work because i don't remember any of that stuff but there's a lot of there's a lot of there's a conspiracy theory there's a lot of theories out here a lot of people think that you are repeated nomics what would you say boy that would be like an intense representation of my ego i wouldn't like i i here's the deal if i if i had listened to the first 125 episodes i I would not put it past me, but it absolutely is not me. Um,
Starting point is 00:46:48 but I'm really, I tell you, we talked about this in the beginning. It was like people by the time we're at episode 50, when people would ask like, all right, Hey, I'd like to, I heard the podcast is doing good. Where should I start? And I'm like, well, don't start anywhere near the first 20 or 30. And so now this guy's just like posting shit from like the very beginning and yes. His theory,
Starting point is 00:47:10 repeatonomics theory, is that the only massonomics podcast is from episode 0 to 124. And I'm not paraphrasing. That's kind of a direct you know, there is no podcast outside of it. Everything is kind of like unofficial
Starting point is 00:47:26 sequel right right so it's very fun having him you know he's active in the discord and stuff too so you know there's a lot of people that are more current and stuff and he he finds ways to bring it all back to like no no they did that already in episode 0 through 124 actually they also
Starting point is 00:47:42 totally contradict themselves that's actually mostly what he does is catch us in uh now like well we said something six years ago that he's like now we said oh we would never do that and now that's like now we do a part of the show yeah that's exactly what we do well that i mean that that piece is like yeah it's it's very very terrifying to me because those things like we didn't know. And I'll take the memory lane thing to the next level. Like, we didn't know when we even started the podcast.
Starting point is 00:48:11 It was like Tanner and I had just met. And it was like, I like what you're doing. I like the thing. Like, I think a podcast, I wanted to do a podcast only because I, like, loved listening to podcasts. And I had nowhere else to put my energy. So I was like, we should just do this thing because how else are we going to engage with people on a regular basis? It wasn't like a super pragmatic fucking practical soulless decision, but it was like, yeah, we got to do something so people can consume because what are we just going to do post-instagrame?
Starting point is 00:48:36 None of us are interesting at that point, and nobody wants to follow any of this shit. And so I was like, well, let's just do this. And that formula in the beginning for people listen in the beginning it's like you know it's that's what makes me like nervous when people are listening to all that shit is because we didn't know what it was and we just did all we tried everything right and so like all the stuff that we tried and that was like that's why i always move on to other projects and bounce from thing to thing it's like i just want to always throw a bunch of shit at the wall, find out what sticks and keeps doing it.
Starting point is 00:49:08 And that's what we were doing in the beginning for sure. And it's funny, we didn't know what it was, but even we didn't know what mass dynamics was at episode 120. Honestly, I'm not even really sure what mass dynamics was until like maybe episode 200. Right, right, right. You guys figured it out last week and now the script's got flipped. Yeah. you guys figured it out last week and now the scripts got flipped yeah like yeah but but that formula is like you know a lot of that stuff some of those things the ideas and things like fuck it let's just do this some of them were great some of them were duds that you just moved on from
Starting point is 00:49:34 but like in the end i think some of those projects like a few of the connections made those arnold trips ended up being kind of cool but it started as just like i went to the arnold before we met and then like i was like we should do this and it was like can we do this will they let us do this yeah and we just went there and did it ended up kind of being those end up being like a bigger formula of what you know what we did for a while there but yeah but the problem is in a large scale trial and error process and i really don't like motherfuckers going back listening to all the error like that's brutal it's like yeah there there's a thing like i was like in in anytime you make stuff it's like if you're not embarrassed of what you made a year ago right like a little bit like you probably didn't get any better between then and now so it's usually a good
Starting point is 00:50:19 sign if you look back six years ago the shit you were making if you're putting stuff out publicly publicly you should be like god damn it just bury it please bury it like no that was peak right there with ours with with it going for so long that is an essential piece of the whole like i feel like you had like that's essential that the original ones stay along around forever though because it's almost like adds to this unbelievableness of like how is there that much of that like Like, yeah. Well, some of those first episodes are like 12, 13 minutes long. Cause we're like, well, we pushed record.
Starting point is 00:50:52 We didn't plan, which still is probably the case. And we just kind of go through. And then it was like, well, then I guess we don't have anything to talk about. Hi. Well, thanks for listening. And then we get done. We're like, how long did we make it? And it's like 16, 18 minutes. Okay, cool.
Starting point is 00:51:04 And it just started getting stretched right but uh i barely knew what a podcast was when we started like i wasn't listening to podcasts and also what's disturbing about listening to those first several is how little joking around we did to the point where i'm like we didn't like laugh the entire 25 minutes there and i'm like like i just didn't really know the feel of it like that it's like no no it's okay to just uh like this can be fun you know right right well and i will say this the formula that we had kind of started with in the beginning but i think part of the reason that at least started to work was even when we started the project and became
Starting point is 00:51:41 business partners and doing the podcast every week i didn't know you guys until we started it that's a weird piece oh that's true we were all kind of getting to know each other as we went which meant it kept it loose it kept it a bit guarded in the beginning but at least as it went on it's like all right tyler's a little drunk today let's see how this one goes and you guys were at least willing to hand some stuff it was a very interesting process that trial and error for sure i actually totally forgot about that part of it and i'm trying to remember right now my alcoholism no no no i think before the first episode i had met you one time for like 30 minutes to an hour where we said we got together we're like oh yeah we're gonna do this podcast thing and this is an interesting dynamic i actually think that was
Starting point is 00:52:23 and then the second time I ever met you we recorded a podcast. I think the first time I met Tommy, we signed business papers over. I guess Tommy's a partner now. He knows how to press record. The story I've told, the short version of the story, and you kind of talked about it too, when the podcast first started, this is how it went in my mind is like we kind of started this thing and then you said uh hey
Starting point is 00:52:51 we should do a podcast sometime and my thought was my thought and probably what i said was oh that would be cool we totally should do that someday and you were like oh we should do it tomorrow and i was like oh you mean like we should really do that. Like, like, like let's actually do that. Like right now and not just talk about it and never do it. Cause like in my mind,
Starting point is 00:53:12 I'm like, yeah, let's do that someday. And it's like, no, no, let's do it now. There's a,
Starting point is 00:53:16 there's a piece I think that makes things like this work. And I, it's like just follow through. You guys are fucking whatever, like a thousand episodes deep. That represents a fair amount of follow through. Right right but like but but but that was one of those things where it's like you could run across a bunch of people and for everybody listening like the amount of times you guys and your friends have have come and said we should have a podcast
Starting point is 00:53:35 we should do this those conversations are fucking useless unless you or somebody goes all right let's do it on this day well wait a minute now i gotta be on the hook for the things that i say being put out there now i gotta put them out there now i gotta i gotta defend them if they're stupid and they're gonna be stupid and so yeah i think that that that piece i operated as a little bit of a gas pedal for a little bit while for a little while there but i think that was exactly kind of what we needed in that moment because the best one of one of the cool, cool things that we had figured out was when we started, like the logo was awesome. The name was good. And that was kind of all we had.
Starting point is 00:54:11 That's true. That is definitely true. But what happened was we're like, we'll sell shirts. We'll make money selling shirts, I guess. And then we started doing a podcast to try to sell shirts, but we never figured out like,
Starting point is 00:54:24 nobody's going gonna like you enough to just buy your branded stuff in the beginning now that is the way now right you guys yeah that's still not it's yeah that and that took take oh i mean maybe someone else does it faster and differently but like that took us a long time unknown schmucks from south dakota and so but the formula we just we we engaged enough and did stuff, but still even at that moment, we weren't selling the OG shirt or the Masonomics is numero uno. Our brilliant second shirt decision was the Masonomics is numero uno
Starting point is 00:54:56 because we wanted it. But again, nobody knew who Masonomics was. Masonomics is numero uno. How do you figure? Don't even know how to say that, let alone what the hell it is yeah and and we had and and then what happened is tommy rolled out the lift design yes the lift shirt yeah and that one that one just became the thing where it was like wait a minute people might actually want to buy this shirt just because it's cool it's a good shirt i think it's a testament to tommy's design in general. The things he makes fucking kind of rock.
Starting point is 00:55:26 And then it was like, all right, these things can kind of stand on their own now. We don't just have to convince people that we're clever enough or handsome enough or charming enough to buy stuff with our name on it. Because at some point in the beginning, you're just buying another man's jersey. I was like, this sucks. And then the designs became awesome and then it was like okay we can confidently move a little bit of merch which which at least got the ball rolling because those few times then we'd start getting around and start seeing masanami shirts in towns you don't live in and cities you don't live in like that's fucking cool it is it is it is a good feeling yeah you guys still get weird about that like you get you get out and about a little bit
Starting point is 00:56:03 you just see people in the masanami shirts we don't even see people locally that we don't know yeah like yeah actually that's the that's the weird thing yeah local people that i've never seen i'm like how do they have this shirt i should know you um but it's like the joke is every time i go somewhere i've never like outside of south dakota encountered someone in massonomics apparel ever in my life and i think everyone else has like, like I've done it, you know, it's different cities,
Starting point is 00:56:27 different airports before. That's my favorite. Like if I'm at an airport, I, my head is just on a swivel to be able to run into someone. Like it's not going to happen every time, but like it has happened a couple of times and it's just such a cool feeling. And I'll like track the person down too.
Starting point is 00:56:42 And I'm like, you're not getting away without me asking you what you know about this brand and stuff you know there's a mathonomics hierarchy of like assessing dudes when you're out in public and first one is is this guy is bigger bigger than me because that's going to catch your attention yeah from there you check his gear and figure out like is his shit legit if it's mathonomics you're like it's pretty legit it's not like fucking gym shark stuff or something you're like they're like the rocks new brand stuff is like the it's the new gym shark right like the rocks gear that i see in the gym is like oh these are for dorks that started lifting this year you know and but but so you go the hierarchy is i look for dudes that are bigger than me then i look for dudes who are
Starting point is 00:57:18 just generally jack you look like they lift and then if you just see that then you move down to just what shirts are these people wearing yeah and and then you start to see you see massanomics shirts on regular folks and and then you see massanomics shirts on some big freaky monsters you see walk around i've seen massanomics gear from people i don't know in austria in france in belgium in the netherlands and in airports in fucking all of those countries as well as well as like in public and in gyms and in every one of those places those people did not know who i was that's the craziest part i was like i'm the one who moved to europe like that's fucking insane like you guys god damn it i thought you'd be the ones that liked me yeah but like a lot of those people
Starting point is 00:58:00 i mean obviously we have a loyal podcast listenership and stuff but a lot of those people wouldn't know who we are to be fair because have a loyal podcast listenership and stuff but a lot of those people wouldn't know who we are to be fair because they're not podcast listeners even they're just you know they're just uh they saw the shirt online or their buddy had a shirt and they asked right yeah because the shirts actually got cool enough to buy right yeah exactly so then it's like i think that is the part yeah some i mean the real fans they'd like love if they run into any three of us or anything you know like or anyone that they recognize from astronomics but like yeah i think still a larger
Starting point is 00:58:30 portion of the customer base base is just people that just saw a shirt online you know yeah like i did a power lifting meet with a guy in rapid city south dakota uh this was in 2021 he was wearing the deadlifter hat and I stopped him and I was like hey sweet hat and he's like oh thanks man and kept walking and like I caught him later and I was like I had I said it because I'm like I wanted
Starting point is 00:58:55 to find out like I was almost like oh I guess whatever and like I saw him later and I'm like yeah I own the company that makes that hat and he's like oh really and I was like oh yeah well i do and now imagine how uncomfortable imagine how uncomfortable those conversations are for me now because that explanation is like a little more complicated right there's like five more steps it's just not worth doing but it's like oh like yeah it's like yeah so like i actually like used to co-own and then they're like sure i'm not associate and it's like it's like ah fuck you know it's like i work out at that gym
Starting point is 00:59:34 it's like the best i could do now i was like i don't care if you don't know i don't gotta tell you yeah you know well and professor shans has stories, too, to bring in our fourth original compadre. Professor Shanz has mentioned before he's down in Sioux City, and he's run into people in the gym several times there that are wearing massonomic stuff, and they don't, you know, he experiences that same thing. They don't know who he is. He goes and talks to them, and, you know, he'll oftentimes send me a picture. Do you know who I am? Yeah, right, right. He'll send me a picture, and we need we need like a repeatonomics in every gym around
Starting point is 01:00:06 the country to keep people honest educate the youth original 124 yeah that's true every gym should have like one representative who just has to teach yeah this is how i feel like like underrepresented people throughout history like want to make sure that their stories are taught in schools and i'm just like well maybe yeah we should teach maybe like the first 100 episodes of mathematics to these people you're gonna get into powerlifting like you don't get to skip that era it's maybe it's important to the foundation of how things exist enough i tell you i want to touch on one thing quick too is like did you see because it's relevant did you see fucking jonathan oldham's fucking 63 rep set of 225 squat did you talk about that
Starting point is 01:00:47 yeah we haven't yet that's a good call on actually they did sick 225 for 63 reps on squat when when i saw the title on the thing i was like oh so he just you know i mean like he did this in like a few and i tell you there is nothing that makes me want to throw up more than watching that that is fucking i from like an achievement standpoint i would love to see what that record can be like like if you want to talk about like like yeah because who's gonna squat the most that's great do it a hundred times but let's go with this standardize this like they do the bench press like 225 for reps in the nfl combine like all right well how many times could you squat without throwing up dying or just quitting and crying
Starting point is 01:01:29 225 and i would love to see what some people are capable of because that is like a that's like a that is a grit pain tolerance well that just ends up being minutes you know several minutes it's a cardio thing way before like the strength comes in for a lot of people. Even if you're, uh, you're say you're, uh, four or five,
Starting point is 01:01:49 six, 700 pound squatter. Even if you do two 25 for a set of 10 or 15, like you're going to be a little, you're like, yeah, like you just don't typically do that many reps. You know,
Starting point is 01:01:59 I also think you're going to walk away from doing a set of say 10 or 15 or even twenties. And you're going to go, I'm never fucking doing that. Yeah. you're going to walk away from doing a set of say 10 or 15 or even 20s and you're going to go i'm never fucking doing that yeah and that's just like a fifth of what he did right there and that's that too that's gnarly that is a i tell you he's he's and i'm sure i don't you i don't know if you guys have touched on him at all today either but like as far as like folks that have come up like since the very very beginning he was like he was he was just this little guy who we saw the first time around.
Starting point is 01:02:26 He followed all the stuff, and then he was like a regular-sized dude who was an enthusiast in the sport. And now he's like a fucking powerhouse, just a total freak beast. It's incredible. He's one who's like, dude, that guy, as far as an OG who's – the things I like about what we were able to do with this thing is kind of come up with other people because there's a few people who get on and show a little loyalty in the
Starting point is 01:02:49 beginning and that's one thing but people who are really trying to make a thing work we got to see a lot of people go from like obscurity to like kind of making some shit out of themselves which is really fucking sweet and he's one who's like yeah he's kind of really doing the thing now like very early on supporter oh yeah Oh yeah, like very early. Speaking of early on supporters, like I'd almost be remiss to not bring up one of the earliest supporters ever in my mind that I think we'll all probably agree on this.
Starting point is 01:03:15 Like one of the first people that I remember thinking, this guy really supports massonomics and what we're doing. And also he's coincidentally is our first ever literal supporting member through our supporting member uh program but scott dodds is like one of the first guys that i ever remember thinking yep oh this guy's like a this guy this guy is actually a fan yeah this guy is a fan of what we're doing and i'm like that's weird that's a weird thought the first person who recognized the first person who ever recognized us in public. It was at the Arnold.
Starting point is 01:03:45 It was Big Scott. We're like, dude, people want to take pictures with us? What the fuck? It's like, we brought cameras to this thing so we could take pictures of people. Yeah, it was wild. Yeah, Big Scott ended up like, he was like OG in our Patreon for all the projects that I've done since then. Like he stuck with you and kind of supported everything you've done since then. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:04:09 That's pretty sweet. Big Scott's got a, he's got a special place in the heart of all the Masonomics founders for sure. Like I don't forget about, like I know Scott's been around forever, but until you say that, I kind of forget how long he actually has been around. And we're not just talking about how he's a master's class lifter. Yeah, he has been a supporter for such a long time. You're right. And there's others too, but it's just, you know, he sticks
Starting point is 01:04:34 out because he was just so early. And he's stuck around the whole time. Like that's the other thing. Like some people have come and gone in that period of time and whatever that I'm not faulting them for that. I mean, fuck those guys. Fuck those guys. Yeah, wait a second. They're not listening. I do have a confession to make.
Starting point is 01:04:51 Did you get other than the episode that I've been on and this is this is a this is a I have not listened to a single episode of Masonomics since I left. And now this is not because I don't like you guys. I think you guys are handsome and charming and intelligent and all those things.
Starting point is 01:05:06 It's because you've watched every episode on YouTube. Yes. It's slow motion just to watch your lips move. No, it's, but it's one of those things as soon as I left,
Starting point is 01:05:16 I was like, okay, if I'm listening to it and I'm not on it, it's going to be torture. Right. And not only that, especially that learning process,
Starting point is 01:05:23 like, oh, you got to try to find your voice, figure out what you're doing. And then any businesses you make i was like i can't subject them even without them knowing to me listening and going that sucked that was good i would have done it because you know you guys know me like that's how i would anything i'm watching or listening to i am like criticizing all of it all the time. So I've done you guys the favor of having like, I've had to completely detach.
Starting point is 01:05:48 I can't listen to it. It's going to break my little heart. I've only re-listened to episodes 0 through 124. When was the last time you said you listened to an episode Tanner? I spot listen occasionally because especially if I'm trying to pull clips, I gotta spot listen. It's probably been actually years since I've listened to an episode just like front to back yeah um but yeah i guess with editing you get it's tough i have a lot of
Starting point is 01:06:13 podcasts i listen to too so it's just like uh i have a lot of other people talking that i want to hear and rather than listen to myself for the third time say the same thing you know what's funny is in the beginning tanner didn't listen to any podcasts and whatever ones he was listening and whatever ones you were listening to in that first year now your podcast is bigger than all of them that is kind of true in a lot of ways too uh we did start at the right time like i know the you know i know you said it like the time to start is like yesterday or whatever but like we did start podcasting at the right time because it would be a lot harder like now because there's so many of them if you didn't have a name or a brand or a following yeah starting right now as a motherfucker and i tell you i've you know started
Starting point is 01:06:56 a few since then and right you got to either really carve some ground or you gotta like you gotta be still gotta be in for the grind i used used to say the number was, you know, it was always 150 episodes before you're good. Yeah. A hundred episodes of it's two years before you're good probably at all. And then, you know, three or so before anyone cares or enough people listen to where you can kind of do something with it. But like back then, you know, when I kind of pitched you on the idea, it really was, it was like, you know, the Rogan thing, this is, this is how old this conversation sounds like this rogan thing is really popping that i remember you saying like i
Starting point is 01:07:30 remember that conversation and you said and the the old power cast was like kind of like had the foothold on what and and barbell shrugged those were like kind of the big ones as far as like non-fit you know what i mean like a mainstream one and then a couple of fitnessy ones. And all those, all the other ones, those ships have completely sailed. But I said, you know, if we started two years ago or three years ago, we'd already be in this position. You know, we really could be. And it was like, fuck.
Starting point is 01:07:57 And I was sad. I was like, I think we might've missed that boat already, but who knows how high this tide is rising. So let's just, let's get in and just do let's just figure it out it'll just take time you know fortunately nobody's listening that was like the whole thing nice thing isn't getting nobody's listening now fucking repeatonomics is telling people yeah yeah repeatonomics is listening uh yeah i wonder if we would have started two out two years even earlier do you think we could uh do you think it could have blown up faster? I mean, I think we'd
Starting point is 01:08:26 probably all be movie stars. That's what I think, too. It's hard to believe that downloads wouldn't have been there in the beginning because even two years prior, the number of shows related in any way to fitness had to be in the tens, right? Yeah. It was very, very low. Yeah, it's just
Starting point is 01:08:42 market share. And if you get in and you have a percentage and the pie keeps growing, like, oh, shit, I guess very, very low. Yeah, it's just market share. And if you get in and you have a percentage and the pie keeps growing, like, oh, shit, I guess we're rich now. Is Barbell Shrugged still around then? No, no. They were done basically, I mean, by the time our first year was done.
Starting point is 01:08:57 They had kind of completely... By the time I went there and... Actually, here's a funny... I don't want to... Don't out them or anything. By the time when I flew there for that trip I went there and I interviewed put together some interviews back we're just trying stuff right we'll go do some onsite stuff we're just trying to make connections and I had to
Starting point is 01:09:12 interview those guys in in their home that was like the day that he had come back from firing everybody and I didn't know that at that time yeah and it was like oh shit so that that was like my big the big fitness podcast I was listening to at the time and I came back and it was like oh shit so that that was like my big the big fitness podcast i was listening to at the time and i came back and i was like oh well fuck and so i had this kind of like you know disjointed not that interesting interview because everybody's head wasn't in the right space me and me included and it was like oh well weird so yeah it was weird to be there literally like right after they arrived from like just burning the ship down and deciding to do something else with their life. I was like,
Starting point is 01:09:47 Oh Jesus. Yeah. Yeah. He's I really, like we said, some of the things we threw at the wall stick and some of them end up being duds. And I guess,
Starting point is 01:09:54 uh, somebody has got to keep chucking. So that's true. We've got, uh, this little game we like to play with every guest. It's called overrated, underrated.
Starting point is 01:10:03 And we have a special Big Tyler set of topics for this week. You do have your druthers to elaborate as little or as much as you'd like on each topic, but the important thing that you have to remember is you have to ultimately land on Overrated or Underrated. You cannot
Starting point is 01:10:21 ride the line. That is the most important rule of the show here. I've never been one to be wishy-washy now one one question yeah are you how many do you feel like you could really definitively say if you like or dislike something or is that yeah that's kind of my job by the way i'll say i hate it and end up being like i probably um now how many are there before i decide how much to elaborate how many questions are we covering usually it's just four or five four or five key topics. We keep it... Keep it brief.
Starting point is 01:10:47 Keep it reasonable. Yes. Okay. It's not a rapid fire game necessarily. Okay. But it's really... You do have your druthers though. That's probably the best...
Starting point is 01:10:57 All right. I like to possess my druthers. Yes. Okay. So overrated or underrated? Ketchup. Ah. Wow, geez. Now, I think ketchup, I like ketchup.
Starting point is 01:11:11 I like ketchup more than I like most of the things I put ketchup on. And I think ketchup is, at this point, I think it's underrated. I think it's underrated because I think that there's like ketchup hate for being like, I don't know what it is, if it's uncivilized or whatever. It's like a poor man's condiment? Yeah, ketchup's the best condiment. There's not one better. And Heinz ketchup is the only ketchup. I've gone over that, I think. When I lived overseas, you'd have all this like, like Hunts versus Heinz is not even questionable. Like Hunts is garbage. Like Hunts versus Heinz is not even questionable. Like Hunts is garbage.
Starting point is 01:11:45 And when McDonald's, did I ever tell you what McDonald's did? McDonald's like silently just got rid of Heinz like years ago. Like I think around the time we were still doing the podcast, they just moved on from Heinz and you'd go there. Like, but the combination of Heinz ketchup, McDonald's French fries was perfect. And then they switch it to save money and fucking it's
Starting point is 01:12:05 absolute dog shit so yeah ketchup's underrated but Heinz ketchup is the only ketchup so you like in a blind taste test you could definitively pick it out absolutely absolutely and I think someone recently brought up I don't maybe we talked about an error maybe it was in the discord someone had mentioned something along the lines of I believe at one point you'd said you occasionally would pick your meal based off of what condiment you felt like consuming at that time that's that's for real that's kind of still how i kind of do if i've got like three types of meat in the fridge i might be like feeling mayonnaise or feeling salsa or feeling ketchup feeling barbecue sauce and then that's going to be what i'm going to choose to heat up or make yeah as long as we're
Starting point is 01:12:41 hitting on this is that's some fat shit huh yeah fat hacks fat hacks that's another callback there's a lot of callbacks here so um um as and speaking of callbacks and since you've missed the last few hundred episodes to just to catch you up on a couple important food topics we should get your opinion um with wings do you like flats or drummies or don't you care because that's a flats i think flats i think because it's more meat yeah it seems like it's more me maybe it's not i feel like the drummies it's a lot of tendon like i feel like you can kind of get suckered into eating like a a marble size hunk of tendon i agree with uh that's i still am not convinced that one is more meat than the other like i could you're uh so you're totally seeing the argument i'm not by the way i'm not either
Starting point is 01:13:31 i'm not either i yeah i really i don't know the the it i would say undeniably when you get done with the drummy it's not as clean of a finish as the flat yeah like the flat capability on if i'm feeling ranch if i'm feeling ranch like then you got to go with the drummy because it's tough to really like you actually have to like push it down and i don't like that much condiment on it though either that's my thing i don't want like that's not the ratio i'm after and with my condiment how about this how about this what if they're like still really fucking hot like in temperature wise because the drumming seems to cool off and it's a little bit easier you get into the flats like you start and you get you get like a lava pocket in there and it'll
Starting point is 01:14:14 fuck your mouth up yeah those feel the heat high risk high reward with the flat yeah yeah yeah i gotta roll the dice yeah so okay would you ever order you know because you can pay like whatever how many more cents and get all of one or is it is the mixture yeah the mixture is embarrassing i think no matter what you like better i think the mixture is important though yeah for sure for sure yeah yeah i'm with you on that one i would never i've never even i've never not even once like sent food back that they fucked up or it was wrong, even if I didn't order it. I would never ask a server, can I get these all?
Starting point is 01:14:50 I've worked in too many restaurants. Somebody asked me to sort them before I dropped them in the fryer. I'd lose my damn mind. Also, I'm the guy in the memes that they make your fajitas wrong and you have to tell your wife. You did it wrong and
Starting point is 01:15:06 then your wife goes and yells at them for you now is it is is it that you would tell your wife to do it or she would see it and then you'd be like no stop stop stop and then she'd just still go off on yeah and like she knows that i'm not gonna say anything and it's more just like a justice thing like no you guys screwed this up and should at least know that you screwed it up yeah as impatient as i am with people making mistakes i would i still today i mean i've never said i've gotten the wrong food i've got shit i didn't order i've never ever sent a single item back at a restaurant ever are people doing stuff to the feed them i would think that this would earn me a little bit of fucking a little bit of grace from these people if anyone's spitting in my food with that track record,
Starting point is 01:15:46 fuck those guys. I make it pretty easy on them. Okay. How, okay. Second, maybe equally as important pizza and milk. Is it a good combination?
Starting point is 01:15:57 You know, nowadays? No, I think for, for, no, I mean, I mean,
Starting point is 01:16:02 just like, I don't, it's a combination. I just don't do these days. Okay. From a nostalgia standpoint, as a child, like a frozen pizza with like a tall glass of milk is that's a,
Starting point is 01:16:12 that was a jam when I was a kid. Cause like, yeah, these days I either drink, like it's either water or booze. Like those are the two things you drink as you're in it. If you're drinking anything else, I don't know what the fuck you're doing.
Starting point is 01:16:26 You know, would you ever dip the pizza in milk? People have done that before. Oh, no. Those people are weird. I wouldn't do that. Or water, like the guy that smoked us all on the pizza. Yeah, that's another good callback. If I remember right, we all beat Dan, though.
Starting point is 01:16:42 We will keep telling him that. I know we didn't because he's the only other one that got prize money yeah they got gift cards from from nick and live large yeah good stuff which seems like that was an inside job by the way i think so all the ohio cards and they send us schmucks the competing brand they send us home empty-handed these dumb asses from south dakota like get them here okay i'll never amount to anything and they were right uh overrated or underrated the huge life shirt it is the most underrated shirt in the entire line yeah i tell you i there's a thing i want to see with the shirt now is is. Maybe you guys can do this next time you do a run. Just do something for me with it whenever you have some more printed. We should do it on a different cut just to see.
Starting point is 01:17:32 Because that specific cut runs a little big, and I like the cut. But I really like it. That cut runs and fits different and in a different way than any other shirt we've done. It's the color. It's just the way that shirt is. But the design, I think, is one's the color. It's the way, I don't know, it's just the way that shirt is. But the design, I think, is one of the best designs Tommy's ever put out. I think it's like, as far as a parody design, it still is just,
Starting point is 01:17:52 it's beautiful, it fits, it just rocks. But it'd be nice to see on different, I don't know, like what other, again, I have no sense of style. This is why Massanomics works. Tanner and I are idiots and we dress like fools. And Tommy, maybe this has changed now with parenthood and getting old and buying houses and all this stuff and and you know but like but like tommy at some point tommy was like young and fresh and hip and stylish and so things still work you can pick a color these are decisions that i would never wear things i would never do and it would work but that shirt
Starting point is 01:18:22 that one on like uh some sort of other color i would absolutely love but i don't know what it would be maybe you go with a whatever but like i still i think that's the best design we've uh that that's ever that's ever come out of it for sure there was some heavy debate as to because we brought it back for black friday there was some pretty heavy debate does it come back on the original tea or on our new style that we use? And after a lot of conversation, we decided original recipe on this one. But there was, we did get several comments of people saying they, that we wish they,
Starting point is 01:18:53 we had put it on the newer style. Right. But there's both. There was really a split camps on that. The people that like really wanted the original recipe and then people that wanted. So who knows, maybe in four more years,
Starting point is 01:19:02 we'll do it on a different, uh, four more years. them. So, who knows? Maybe in four more years, we'll do it on a different... Four more years! Four more years! Okay, so overrated or underrated McDonald's chicken nuggets? They are,
Starting point is 01:19:16 in my opinion, extremely overrated. I don't think they're good. They don't taste good. We all know that, right? They're just the sauce that they're in, though. It is. It is the sauce. Sauce vehicle, for sure.
Starting point is 01:19:31 It's an edible spoon for dipping sweet and sour sauce in barbecue and stuff like that, for sure. But I'll tell you what. I haven't had McDonald's in almost a year and a half. Not even a little bit. And it's a thing. Even before I was trying to eat healthy, I would cave on it every few weeks. I'd be like, oh, fuck it. I'll eat a pile of McDonald's in almost a year and a half, like not even a little bit. And it's a thing even before I was trying to eat healthy, I would cave on it every few weeks. I'd be like, oh, fuck it, I'll eat a pile of McDonald's. And but the last time I had McDonald's, I was in, like, had to fly out of New York. And it was a night where we were in Connecticut, we were out partying. And like,
Starting point is 01:19:58 I ended up getting back to the hotel at two o'clock in the morning. I had to fly out the next morning, but I hadn't eaten all day. We were supposed to eat before we went out and then just didn't and then we just partied i was like starving uber eats the only thing that was delivering to that hotel was mcdonald's everything else was closed and hammer drunk i ordered no joke like 65 worth of mcdonald's and i ate like all of it except for a couple mcchickens that i shamefully ate in the morning. And I felt the most brutal hangover and the most awful sick in the world the next day. That it's just a completely, it's like when you hear the stories, your dad finds smoking cigarettes and makes you smoke the whole pack. I did that with McDonald's and it was like mission accomplished, man.
Starting point is 01:20:42 Like totally cured any McDonald's that which i had which at this point now that you guys have whatever 600 episodes or whatever whatever you guys are at now the the eating eating a mcnugget per episode is a challenge for somebody else somebody else has to do that and that's where this comes from yeah so are you like officially bowing out that you wouldn't uh wouldn't tackle the beast at this point. Here's the deal. I would eat one for every episode I was on. But I can't be responsible. So how many episodes you got right now? 350.
Starting point is 01:21:16 350. This is pretty simple math here. I eat 125 for all the Tyler episodes, and you and Tommy split the rest. Yeah. I don't like our don't like 120 about 120 each i mean that seems pretty it seems pretty reasonable for a few midwest guys we've been planning on banking on you carrying the load on this one actually like two yeah i think i think uh i think we can all walk away from that one and we're gonna feel better having not done it i don't think people will give up on that though that i having not done it. I don't think people give up on that though.
Starting point is 01:21:46 I don't think it's, I don't think it's a dead issue from this point. Here's the thing. I'll do it for money, but I won't be able to do more than one 25. Like I put, I put, I did,
Starting point is 01:21:56 I did lay it out as something I thought I could do. And I don't 300 is insane. Even at one 25. I think the, I think the idea would be to order 20 at a time so they're still relatively fresh you would have to yeah so you're saying you you couldn't do you don't think you could do 200 because you can probably do i could i could do at least back at one point in time i'd maybe not i don't maybe you still can but you could eat a lot
Starting point is 01:22:21 yeah i eat much less now i i get in i do eat i'm still pretty large but the main maintaining is a lot easier than building and i just eat kind of one big meal a day and a little bit of protein yeah but 200 nuggets 200 they're little nuggets so it's like as all that fryer oil if it gets cold it just won't go down like it just won't leave your mouth you know that'd be 10 orders of 20 pieces yeah now now at that which i think you order two at a time maybe two orders at a time so that at least that way it can it can go but would you see in which the nuggets at the start where you eat like three at once or it would just pop them in well you know it's actually maybe crazier though it's not the amount of nuggets that's consumed, but actually the amount of condiments and sauce that goes down.
Starting point is 01:23:06 Like the sheer number of cups of sauce you go through. I think strategically, too, it's like when I've done a burger eating, you know, like an 80-pound burger contest before. And, like, I got seven pounds of burger down before I quit. But, like, even in that, like, I was still dipping every bite in, like, a lot of ketchup. Like, I probably used a whole bottle of ketchup at that time at that content which which like from a strategic standpoint is a stupid idea if you're worried about getting it down but like i don't want to just hate the experience i wonder if you go as little condiment as possible at first and then
Starting point is 01:23:40 you just start to lean on it harder as it gets gets yeah or do you just let the joy just the joy of there's a there's enough variety in the in the in the sauces that you can get at mcdonald's where like i think you could keep it fresh you know yeah okay um so let's leave that as a as a hey guys maybe we'll do it and don't ask too hard. Don't push it. Do you like nachos Navidad? Is that the actual nachos, though? Well, it's the nachos with just the colorful chips. That is the only difference, right? Colorful chips?
Starting point is 01:24:14 It's just the seasonal nachos from Taco John's. It's a hard no for me. And here's why. Cater tots or even potato olays that they have there. But tater tots are the best actual vehicle for delivering nacho stuff. If anything else that's out there. If you take all the toppings you would put on nachos, put them on tater tots, your life will be much better. Hands down.
Starting point is 01:24:38 It's a much better experience. They have olays and they're not utilizing them. Yeah. Well, they kind of do. They call them super potato olés, and it's basically nacho toppings on potato olés, and you can get a very large. That's the way to do it for sure.
Starting point is 01:24:51 Now, I call that the way of the day. Okay. Last one, and this is the final callback. Overrated or underrated? CrossFit. Hella overrated or underrated crossfit hello overrated guys listen we all have an introduction to doing things and uh yeah yeah i enjoyed doing crossfit stuff when i first got started and now at this point the idea of even doing even being around it is like no thanks those people are all crazy that's the way i look at it so so no i got i got i got tired of all that so it's it's probably whatever that ship has like
Starting point is 01:25:33 just been i mean i think there's gyms that still do okay but like that ship has been uh sinking that brand took some pretty hefty hits and uh yeah there that's not uh it's not as cohesive it's definitely not on the uptick uh as it was in the beginning so you know i think i said i owned a crossfit chip bought one sold it yeah i still coach crossfit businesses you know i coach some businesses that run crossfit business but for them it's like can your business operate separate from the brand because who fucking knows where that thing's going but they don't seem to get much support from up top anymore and so yeah that's a less funny take i guess because it's probably overrated it's for hobbits how about that i'm not one of them you are right there like i
Starting point is 01:26:16 hadn't really thought about it but there was a point in like the mid-teens where it just seemed like there was like a crossfit craze like it was insane for a while and now outside of like when the open's going on it almost is like crossfit doesn't really exist it feels like nah they fumbled the bag man yeah you know that's that's the thing you have big opportunity when things are rising up but you can't fuck it all up you know and yeah it is what it is so this is but let's be real you guys know what i look like i'm six foot six i'm 315 pounds you know mostly beef like like that is not my sport it was never gonna be you know so it's probably good for regular folks but yeah it sure ain't for me brother
Starting point is 01:26:58 all right that's fair uh good news it looks like you're tallying up the scores now. It looks like you passed overrated, underrated. Oh, thank God. It is a pass-fail course. So you officially get three credits. I love it. Three overrated, underrated credits to your name. I love it. So well done. No, this was fun doing a little catch-up.
Starting point is 01:27:19 I guess we'll probably have to do it again in a couple hundred more episodes. Was that Heinz catch-up? A little Heinz ketchup. Yes, nailed it. Tommy with the zinger. Yeah, we'll see you guys episode, what are we talking, 500? 500, I guess. It would work out pretty good, actually.
