Why don't we just get around and introduce everyone today? We have a slightly altering face in the cast. Why don't we just start with Vince? Hello. Hello. I am Vince, and I will be channeling my inner Amanda,

Starting point is 00:09:14 not by chance, accident on purpose. You were meant to be here. You were meant to be there. It was written in the stars long before you were born. The day after reviewing the footage of a hijacking of a conglomal shipping container, a woman in a long white coat and a short bob sits in a lab full of cryotubes and plant life. She huddles over a microscope, introducing a solution to the slide of cells. She observes the interaction and takes note.
Starting point is 00:09:41 The bald man with the scar enters visibly chuffed, coming right up to her. Harrison was found waltzing through the Oberlin terminal. Are you not concerned? She doesn't look up from her work and she just adds solutions to the slide. Creighton, you worry too much. Consider it a solution to a bigger problem. The bald man grabs the microscope and checks it across the room. I'm not going to lose the integrity of this facility on a petty marital spat.
Starting point is 00:10:08 And you won't have to. The woman gets up from the desk, grabs a container labeled Minerva, and enters into a back area of her laboratory. Harrison, you were riding up an elevator to an office in the penthouse where you believe your ex-wife might be. You tried to slide and shuffle across the hallway, trying to be unseen by the cameras. And you eventually crack open the door and peek your head in. And sitting at the desk is a woman in a long white coat and a short bob.
Starting point is 00:10:48 And she looks at you and says, Harrison, it's good to see you again. Harrison kind of stares for a moment because he admits that he's disarmed in many ways. Because it's been a while since he's seen her. And all this rage has bubbled up in him and all the sadness. And she's still hot. God damn it. She's not even looking at you. She's still preoccupied with the pages of notes that she's kind of
Starting point is 00:11:24 scanning through and just at her desk doing her job. Yeah. I'm forgetting what her first name is. Gemmary, I believe. Right. Gemmary Lang. Yep. That's why I didn't stick like the name of my company.
Starting point is 00:11:46 So, so yeah. I think like leans into the room and then slightly closes the door behind him and says, Gemmary, it seems you are engrossed in your work again, darling. Well, a girl's got to make her money. See? And she kind of like points to the chair in front of her desk. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:20 I'm going to sit down. I was surprised, though, and she kind of like turns a page. I wasn't surprised to see you on that ship. It was very interesting. I was so curious that you would be there. What are the odds? Yeah. Well, I got shot by a pirate, so.
Starting point is 00:12:42 I mean, price to pay, I guess, to choosing to be an outlaw. Outlaw. Well, I guess I'll take that better than eco-terrorist, so. I guess they're one and the same at the end of the day. I mean, you could have done much, much more staying here. Hmm. You always did like generalize things. You're a great scientist, and you got a great ass,
Starting point is 00:13:17 but you're not great at seeing the full picture. You're a, you never were an artist. You painted by numbers, and those numbers forgot you in trouble. But those numbers are like the actual truth. Art is subjective, but like at the end of the day, I can create so much more efficient things than just what art can give me. Harrison, I think that's the difference between you and I,
Starting point is 00:13:51 and why my work kind of succeeded more than yours. Do you want to show me what you're working on? You haven't figured it out yet? It's a shame. I have one of your samples. Hmm. That's quite uninspired, military, very predictable, a little hacky, cut some corners, disappointing.
Starting point is 00:14:23 It's a prototype in the beginning of Trials, which you interrupted. Pardon me if I could have just watched those Trials, too. Yeah, drew mad scientist couple. So he's looking around the room trying to get an idea of what else might be up here. I mean, primarily it's just a more or less just a simple office. There's several file cabinets kind of scattered about.
Starting point is 00:15:03 She's really neat and organized. So she's not like it's not just like a scattering of just notes and stuff like that. And then her computer and her what she has at her desk right now. She's like several folders out. Yeah. All right. He's going to kind of clutch the jar that he carries with him
Starting point is 00:15:32 and slide it under his jacket a little bit more. Why did you even come over here? What are you trying to do? Um, well, I'm very interested in closure. And I don't like when people copy my notes and try to pass them in for a good grade. So especially if that's military grade. They were hardly your notes.
Starting point is 00:16:03 I just took a bits and pieces that were actually good. He just wants to shoot her now. Um, what you're doing is widely irresponsible. And not only are you putting more and more people in danger in that risk, you are also damaging the field of what we do or did. And in the long run, you are perverting what we agreed science was for. Or maybe I'm just on the frontier of something much, much bigger.
Starting point is 00:17:00 And you're just too afraid to join me on it and calling it ethics. All right. I admit I'm a little curious. Of what I'm working on. Yeah. Okay. Why don't I show you? She's going to like push like a button.
Starting point is 00:17:29 And there's going to be like a back panel that comes down. And it's going to open up to a camera that's pointed at her laboratory. And what you see is three people there standing there. Lev, Captain and Flip. Meanwhile, down in the laboratory, you all three have been kind of scanning through this lab, picking through flowers, trying to grab seeds, just kind of pilfering through all of this eclectic spread of science in plant life.
Starting point is 00:18:07 Flip, you had found a small cryotube of something that was labeled Minerva. But as you guys were kind of digging around with it, trying to glue it on one's back, you hear. They forgot about that. Yeah. I watched it this morning. I was like, God damn it. You guys hear like this kind of growling rumble that's coming from one of the
Starting point is 00:18:40 darker parts of the corner of the lab. Because this lab is not fully lit. And you see something coming out of the shadows. And it's fairly big and it's staring at you all. It's like, it's got, it looks kind of like a plant of some kind. Like it's got foliage on it. It looks very large. It kind of creaks and mones like wood, wood as it kind of lurches forward.
Starting point is 00:19:13 But it's got like also animal qualities to it. It's like a beast of some kind. And it's just kind of like, like kind of jarringly just moving forward. And it's growling at you. And it doesn't look friendly. Daddy, can I kill it? Yeah, light that ass up. Why don't we roll you three?
Starting point is 00:19:43 Actually, everybody roll initiative so we can just keep the narrative going. I forgot how the roll initiative again. D6 plus grit? Yeah, 2D6 plus grit. My quick guide open. I have an eight. I have a nine.
Starting point is 00:20:13 Oh, it's a D3, a D6. A D3, and then you add your sabbies. So one to two is one, two to three. Yes. Five, five, four, five, four, big four. Yeah, they all step on each other's toes at the same time. That is what we do best. Harrison and Lev is five.
Starting point is 00:20:45 Yep. Which one of you is the savviest? I think we both have the same two. And I'm going to put you first, Lev, since you guys are all contained, and then I'll follow up. We'll just follow up with Harrison on the same after. Sad siblings. Sad siblings.
Starting point is 00:21:06 And then four, four. And well, who's the savvy is out of you, Captain? And you flip? I got one. Ten to two. I got zero. Never mind. OK, so it's Captain, your first out of the two of you,
Starting point is 00:21:23 followed by you flip. And then let me roll or you're beastie. OK. Wait, Tiny gets initiative. You want Tiny in this initiative? Oh, you just said you're beastie, and I assumed that. Oh, my beast. Oh, my beastie.
Starting point is 00:21:53 I was like, damn, we're putting Tiny in danger today. All right. Without the gate. Who means? Lev, as this creature lurches forward and it looks unfriendly and it looks like it's going to eventually attack. What do you want to do? Are there any like Bunsen burner,
Starting point is 00:22:25 like welding torch things in this lab? Can I look for one of those? Roll me an observation check. OK. This will be all action. No, we got rid of it, remember? Oh, that's right. You still have the micro-net I gave you, too.
Starting point is 00:22:44 Ooh, six. Six. Yeah, you start like you just beeline for like the nearest like shelf and you start kind of like scanning for a torch or a Bunsen burner or something with fire, but you can't seem to find anything. Here just a lot of glassware and a lot of tools. Oh, shit.
Starting point is 00:23:11 OK. Put your lease away from this furthest away from the situation now. Is there anything else you want to try to do? I am just going to pull out my pull out my revolver and get ready. OK. Harrison, as the screen turns on and you see like the three members of your crew and this creature that starts to kind of work forward at them.
Starting point is 00:23:52 I've been busy. So I want to get like a read on any other buttons that she might have or anything like if she has anything that can manipulate maybe the lab itself or like an intercom or something like that. Roll in observation check. Is that 2D6 plus savvy? You don't know just 2D6. OK.
Starting point is 00:24:31 I have a nine. Nine. Yeah. You kind of like look on her desk and it looks like there's like a side panel kind of attachment that seems to be where she pressed to open up that system, but it looks like there's a couple buttons there. I mean, you're at a relative distance. You're not going to see little one, but you could assume that there's some type of
Starting point is 00:24:54 like manipulation she can interact with the lab and stuff like that from this location. Right. Gemma, do you have any stats on this creature? What's going on here? What are you measuring? What are your metrics? I mean, this is the first trial run. I've taken Minerva and I'm splicing it with actual animal and animal DNA.
Starting point is 00:25:25 It's a result and this is a result. You're growing bigger. This is the biggest one I've been able to conjure. He really wants to just shoot her. Oh, my God. We just want to shoot it. Anything else you want to do on this? I mean, you can't shoot her this.
Starting point is 00:25:56 You can't shoot her this round. Some of the documents on her desk, would those be in like reach? Could I grab something just kind of casually look at and read? Sure. You can grab it and then we can look at it next round. Sure. Yeah, I'll do that. I'll see if I can find something just kind of like review.
Starting point is 00:26:25 Just roll me a general savvy check and see how see what you kind of grab. Since you're doing it really quickly. Oh, max. 12. 12. Awesome. You grab like one of like an actual like manila folder of something. You just snatch it off.
Starting point is 00:26:40 It's like a blue folder. Captain. There's a fucking creature in front of you. And it doesn't look friendly. Yeah. What are you going to do? Yeah. So is there like we're in a lab?
Starting point is 00:26:57 Are there any like like big, big things of like like nitrogen, something flammable, anything that looks flammable that's near this thing? If you want to roll an observation check, you can. Let's do that. Let's do that. No, I had my savvy to that, right? No, it's a straight roll. This 2D 6.
Starting point is 00:27:12 Straight roll. Got it. Okay. That's going to be a beautiful 11. Yes. 11. Yeah, you go like the opposite way of where Lev went. And yeah, you do find like a bit of just like tubes of random like chemicals and stuff like
Starting point is 00:27:32 that. You're a captain. So you don't necessarily know what's in these tubes, but you assume that they're dangerous. Maybe there's like a symbol that's like warning labels and stuff like that of like safe handling. Got it. If I shoot that thing, is it going to get on the this thing that we're now looking at? Like if you toss it at it? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:53 Maybe depends on how how well you throw it. Digging it out. All right, let's do that. I'm going to attitude. Yeah, I'm going to go ahead and just just eat this shit over at this thing. Okay. You'll be able to do that next round. I'm going to you at least have one of you like you grab both bottles.
Starting point is 00:28:14 You like turn around and you're like prepared to fucking chuck it. And I do have my shotgun, right? You do have your shotgun. You have both your shotgun and Teddy Zeppelin. And Zeppelin. All right. Flip. What are you doing?
Starting point is 00:28:31 Where's Tiny by the way? Tiny is like right here in like my jumpsuit. Just kind of like in the middle of your jumpsuit. Like he's a baby Bjorn and he's just watching the action. I think he I think he perks up a little bit because by now he's grown accustomed to violence. And I am bum rushing the creature and I'm going to try to shoot. Okay. While bum rushing it.
Starting point is 00:28:57 So if you feel I deserve some sort of penalty to my role for that, well, that's on you. I'll just raise the I'll just raise the eight to a to an to a 10. Since you're bum rushing. I always negotiate against myself. Yeah. You don't have to roll against it. I have to roll a straight roll.
Starting point is 00:29:20 How do I roll again? It's 2d6 plus plus your savvy, I believe. Well, I roll a one and a one. Can I do the thing where I sacrifice a thing to get a new one? Yeah, you can you can you can exert. You know, there's a quick guide. You can exert. I forgot that was an option.
Starting point is 00:29:50 You can you can roll. I'm sorry. You can exert yourself. I'm sorry. You can exert yourself by removing two one or two of your heart points in order to re-roll. Well, I burn one of my heart points, which means I go down to six and I roll another one. Yeah, you are. Yeah, you just what kind of weapon is this gun?
Starting point is 00:30:16 It's a big old shotgun. Yeah, you just like running, but like it's so unstable. So you're just like not securing it as you rack it and fire it and it just goes off like past it. Here's what I think is what happens. I'm running at the thing and I have the perfect shot lined up. I'm going to get the thing right square in its face. And then right as I'm about to pull the trigger, tiny sneezes. Oh, no, no.
Starting point is 00:30:47 Stops everything. Yeah. And it just goes off above it. But you're now like running full sprint towards this creature and stop won't stop. And it's the creature's turn. Great. Right. I told you shotguns are stupid.
Starting point is 00:31:09 And the creature's like doesn't even have to do anything. Doesn't even have to come towards you. Just like goes in crisis. What are you? You want a second? Yeah. Yeah, she said. Fire.
Starting point is 00:31:34 Yep. Fire. Take care. Repeat flip safe. We're looking at the tiny safe for you. You are going to you are going to take two points of damage as this creature just takes one big swipe at you. And it just knocks you on your on your ass if you kind of slide off the side.
Starting point is 00:31:58 It was kind of effortless. It's a little effortless. It's like running into a brick wall. Yeah. And it's going to like watch you as you slide across and it's going to kind of redirect itself and turn around and it's going to just start making its way and continue towards you. Wait, let's continue towards me. Yeah, it's making its way towards you.
Starting point is 00:32:22 It's swatted you a significant distance, but like it's now you your it's target. That should be everything. Left. Top of the round. Okay. I'm going to so Ted and I are on opposite sides of the lab. And where is where's flip from us? Is he on another opposite side or is he close to one of us?
Starting point is 00:33:01 I would say he's closer to you, Lev, given how he was swatted happens a little bit further distance now as they've kind of redirected themselves and making their the monsters now making its way towards towards flip. But yeah, you're on the same, at least on the same side of him. Okay. I want to go away from both of them so that we're creating kind of a triangle so that the creatures like stuck between knowing which one of us to go for. And then I want to start shooting.
Starting point is 00:33:31 Okay. So roll three D six, pull together two and the remaining dice will be your damaged. All right, let's see if we do anything here. Oh, oh, oh, and then six damage. Oh, shit. This is the best I've ever rolled. Yeah, you you just immediately like straddle that that kind of position and you just clock back and you shoot and you manage to get like just straight into one of its eyes
Starting point is 00:34:06 as the creature kind of recoils back and like you just see like like this group goopy kind of like greenish just acre kind of just like flow out of it kind of remind you of that moving goop that was inside that shipping container. Just out loud not knowing Harrison can hear me. I say, Harrison, your wife, the dick. She's not wrong. Are they not wrong? Anything else you want to do?
Starting point is 00:34:42 Do you want to get closer? Do you want to stay sticking your position? I want to I want to create that triangle of of creature in the middle us on all sides. And just I want it to have three options to go for and not always know which one to go for. Yeah, the creatures kind of like now recalling back and it's now kind of like looking at you looking back kind of at flip a little bit who's kind of just still laying prone on the floor. You've managed to get its attention like that.
Starting point is 00:35:14 Okay, I'm just going to like bang on like a countertop next to me and try and get its attention over here for like every time you like looks away like towards flip like you banging on it just like makes it just keep lurching back and forward and finally it's just kind of like more a little bit starting to get focused just on you. As it's kind of screeching at you. Harrison back up at the back up there as you kind of see the situation or you see like flip getting just smacked and you know then the initial shot of love as you see this creature battling out with your friends you can hear the work.
Starting point is 00:36:01 Yeah, you can hear the yeah like comms work for you for you guys. What do you have? Cool. All right. So what's on this? What's in this folder? What's in this folder is just scattered observation notes about the actual contents of what was in the shipping container.
Starting point is 00:36:26 Primarily what you got is that like goopy thing. It's looks to be like a type of organism that was created to kind of seek out and kill off like any living organism in its vicinity. She took my miracle crop and weaponized it. Literally turned it into a bioweapon. Awesome. And also like notes are kind of involving in terms of like also like terraforming and using this in a process of terraforming as to kind of eradicate local populations of life there
Starting point is 00:37:08 and then coming in with a secondary like the thing that they mentioned to kind of then terraform the area after the eradication of the life there beforehand. Yeah. It's what it's designed for. So I have the my book learning gambit. Is there any way to like comb through this and find any kind of like error or something to be like a jerk about? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:40 The only thing I'm good at. Like what do you mean you're running glyphosite tests? Glyphosite, yeah. God amateur, our bullshit is this. Exactly. As you kind of like scan it and stuff like that while this like thing is very malleable and it's kind of has like practicalities towards like being able to be adaptive and like work through different difficult kinds of terrain.
Starting point is 00:38:12 It still doesn't handle a lot of like environmental situations like extreme heat, extreme weather and cold, which is what kind of fell through with what you guys observed when it was sucked out into space and wasn't able to kind of keep itself together and just died out. So and also it doesn't have a very long like lifespan. So if it doesn't it isn't able to complete its task or you know before it dies out, you know, they haven't been able to like get it past like a couple of days or like a couple, a day at the most. Or like a few days, sorry, words.
Starting point is 00:38:52 Yeah. So Alja, I'm disappointed in your and the creature's half-life here. This is very, all this money you're putting into all these, all the energy that goes into making these things and they don't seem hearty at all, which is so what do you just need? Basic weed killer and then your entire operation's done. That's disappointing. Minor setbacks are minor setbacks. And that's why we're trying to figure it out.
Starting point is 00:39:21 Harrison, it's not like you could or maybe you could actually. Because I mean, we could stop all of this. What are you proposing? Come back to work here, put your mind to good use. Well, why don't we just first cut the bullshit? I need to do a therapy set. I have to be more clear about what I'm feeling and I'm trying to try to do. I know I hide in the erudition of my work and use terms and get verbose.
Starting point is 00:40:03 I am okay. 2% fascinated. You'd be like 4% impressed. Another 2% turned on, but really it's like 90%. You killed our daughter trying to kill me. You haven't said it once. And I don't see her in you at all. And it's just before my mother and dad, she did say that you were a snake and I joked that.
Starting point is 00:40:49 Okay, I kind of thought it was hot. But still, it's, you know, I didn't think that the analogy would include eating there young. And god damn it, I gotta say she was right. He just kind of stares at her for a minute. She like for the first time has actually like really paid attention, you know, the moment you mentioned your daughter. Or a mini mini. What happened with her was a regrettable accident.

And though it's not a complete like damage, but it's at least kind of now has like this weird acid like wash across the floor in front of them kind of separating the two. Okay.

It kind of like bounces, ricochets up and just breaks like a fucking lamp above, but it does propel you backwards a little ways away, but you kind of smack up against a wall. I'm just going to lie in the corner and hug Tiny, who apparently has allergies or something because he keeps sneezing. Yeah, Pauline is a bit, yeah, he's like giving you little licks on the chin.
Starting point is 00:48:51 Trying to, because he knows that you're hurt. It is the creature's turn. It kind of recoils a bit because even though the shot didn't hit, it was close enough to get its attention, but between Lev still kind of banging and getting it, it's going to try to make its way towards you, Lev, regardless of the acid wash on the ground, and it is going to bite at you. Oh, chomp, chomp, chomp. Okay, yeah, it like crawls over that acid wash and you can see that whatever mixture
Starting point is 00:49:54 that Captain had put together is kind of eating away at that like flesh and fleshy bits and stuff like that, but it comes over to you and just opens its jaw and just bites down into your shoulder and now it has like a grip on your shoulder and it kind of starts to kind of shake you. You only take one point of damage, but it's got to use firmly gripped and is slowly like starting to put more pressure. You can feel it squeezing the pressure into your shoulder. That's it, Lev, it's your turn now. I am going to pick up, no, I already have my revolver in my hand. I'm just going to

It kind of, again, recoils back and so it's still going because now it's just like from its top, like its lower jaw is just gone, but it's still got its top jaw and it's just bleeding out just fucking like green, just ticker, just flowing and dissolving all over the floor around you. But it's still up, it's still like reeling and stuff, but it's still alive. Anything else you want to do? I'm like trying to fix my ear that's ringing from being shot so close to it. And I'm going to jump over the little puddle of whatever the fuck head made to make it,

You're seeing the sturdiness of this creature. It's still willing to keep fighting. It's still willing to keep going regardless of how much damage it's taking. Again, we can stop all of this if... Now, your specimen seems to be single-minded,
Starting point is 00:54:14 although simple and fragile for one gunshot to take its face off like that. He's going to just take the jar of seeds and just snap the chain and just put it on the desk. And she's going to see that it's made up of the sunflower seeds that our daughter loved, and it's just right there. It's starting to turn itself around to go and pursue Lev who jumped over that acid wash and is dealing with the corrosive nature of it. What do you want to do? Yeah, not today, motherfuckers. I am going to move to, I'm going to try to get close with a close range of it. And I'm just going to fucking empty that shotgun right into this thing. Okay, roll me an attack.

Starting point is 00:56:23 Drunk lamp. All right. There we go. So you shoot this creature and it, you know, as it's slowly starting to pursue Lev, it's turned itself around. It's about to go back through that acid wash. And you just finally pop it into one of its like, uh, legs. Because the lake has been slowly being eaten by this asset.
Starting point is 00:56:48 It's just not giving any fucks about it. So you like, because it's already like in structurally weak, it just finally snaps it and collapses it, which causes the creature to just like plant right over that acid wash. And it's just starting to eat it. Hell yeah. And it's just starting to just like, it's slowly corrosively eating at it. And it finally just with the amount of damage that it's been sustained is now not moving anymore.
Starting point is 00:57:25 And it's starting to just bubble that green, ickery things. Everybody in the room, roll me observation checks, including you flip curled in the corner. I still got eyes. Nice. Nine. Eight for the captain. Eight for the cap. Five.

Um, and as you guys kind of enter into this lab space, it's kind of like much different than the lab you were in. Um, it's fairly empty.
Starting point is 01:05:02 There's not much there. Um, there's no like tables. There's no like desks or eclectic spread of stuff. So it's kind of just more or less like an open room. Um, and as you guys kind of enter in with this squad, um, like a panel screen kind of opens up, and now you guys can see, uh, Gemery Lang, as well as Harrison, who is casually holding up notes, reviewing it, just kind of standing there. Starting point is 01:15:52 And as she kind of like goes back, she kind of manages to stick you like in the rib. Um, uh, getting like close to you as she kind of like digs deeper. It just kind of nicks her, but it doesn't really like actually do any real damage.
Starting point is 01:22:47 But now she's got another wound that's bleeding on her arm and across her arm and shoulder. So I guess we're in romantic. Yeah, but she's, she's, she's, you know, like before it's starting to sweat. She's starting to show those signs like if she's going into shock, she is bleeding out. Flip, flip, flip, but he flipped. Um, there are electrical like stuff for like light systems and like doors systems, nothing for ventilation. Oh, actually.
Starting point is 01:24:37 Yeah, you know, it's a lab. It would have some form of ventilation system. So yeah, it has that lights, doors and vents. So, okay. I probably can't do this all in one turn, but I'm going to start working on step one, turn the lights on step two, open all the doors step three, stop the ventilation. So there's no new oxygen coming in. Okay.

So there's like a just like a little bit of like just a driplet of blood just starting to fill. So she gets the point that she's not gonna she won't be moved by you. Creighton, though, on the other hand, is going to pull his weapon and see if he can try to he's going to hold it to see if he can try to get leverage. He's not going to he's not going to pull the trigger because he does not want to necessarily
Starting point is 01:26:43 hit his knees, but he will but he will not also be threatened by you. At the very least, you'll have to do what I did. So make your choice. I think we can resolve this in a much deeper matter. And he's going to leave it at that. Top of the round is the squad as the squad has re positioned itself. They all go together on one round together. So the squad is going to take aim.
Starting point is 01:27:29 Cool. Yeah, so the squad starts popping off guns as you guys are all mainly for captain and flip as a squad reposition themselves, you they start to kind of pop off guns as you guys are scrambling to the pillars and to the panel to kind of get there. You guys they did succeed, but they only are going. You guys are only going to sustain one point of damage as you just get clipped by Rick, just some ricochet as you guys get up to your perspective holds. But other than that, they have not done.
Starting point is 01:28:09 That's all they're going to be able to do. Can someone give me like a lay on hands or something? How are you looking? I got like one left. Same. So now you both are kind of just in this like tussle of just back and forth of just now one holding a gun, one holding a knife as you guys are both now just struggling with each other. She's struggling against you, you know, because she's not going to go out just willy-nilly.

Starting point is 01:38:38 going to be able to know in the moment. Um, but I figure I've got her with the, the, the letter opener pretty close to my face. And it's this kind of like haunting kind of like memory of good times, but it feels like it's been washed out or choked down or faded in many ways. Starting point is 01:41:49 And getting rid of her is probably saving humanity. So, so yeah. All right. Flip, you've found an access panel that has access points to lights, ventilation, and the doors. Uh, you hear a giant explosion and cussiveness and the, the slew of body parts that just kind of erupt from a section. Starting point is 01:43:37 Okay, so you're gonna open doors, cut off oxygen and turn off lights. Yes. Which means that there's a clock ticking now. I don't know how much air we have, but. Yeah, like, oh, because you're cutting, yeah. So yeah, you managed for this entire second floor, you've cut off the oxygen ventilation systems as the lights now, like people are starting to get up. You know, like Ted, you are kind of seeing like the other squad of people have kind of
Starting point is 01:44:12 like put their attention to you now, because they, you know, you focus on one group. The other group is now about to retaliate, they're pulling up their weapons. And it looks like they're about to fire at you, but as they do that, the lights just go. And everybody turns, but then you just get like strips of light as there's three doors, because this is a fairly large laboratory just open wide and there's only light coming out. Are you, are you cutting light to the whole floor? Are you just cutting light to the room? I'm trying to get rid of all the light, baby.
Starting point is 01:44:41 Oh, then yeah, no. All you hear is the sound of like doors opening, but it's fucking pitch black on this floor. You've managed to cut off at least this whole room. And if Harrison or you guys were even to see this, but you guys are kind of enthralled in your own problems, it's a screen kind of just turns black as it's just too dark for the cameras to kind of pick up. But now it's dark and nobody can see shit. Would they get light from the monitor going my side? Yeah, I would say that there's just like a light faint glow of just that TV blue light,
Starting point is 01:45:15 but it's not really enough to cast in a lot. You have, you have to be like really close to the panel to really feel that light. Nice. Are you going to, are you going to, you can move hair if you are trying to get out of here and try to leave. I'm going to scream, okay, time to run and I'm going to book it out the door. Okay. Yeah, I'll say you're, you're making your way towards the door, but it's also pitch black. So, you know, you're making, you're making, you're intending to head that direction. Okay. Yeah. So it's Creighton's turn now. He, he has, he repositions himself because he,
Starting point is 01:46:00 he got hit by that blast same as you as you guys kind of are, are getting back to it. Then that's also at the same time where he like tries to pull his gun and again, and the lights go off. So he's now in the darkness and he hears this, the sound of flip going, uh, you know, let's go. Um, he's going to take a shot. It's going to be at disadvantage at against Oz because yeah, that was going to hit. Um, yeah, he fires it, but it's, it's more so that like you can see just the flash of light as he pops off his gun, like the, the, the flash of the barrel just illuminates just all around it. And so you can kind of release without it,
Starting point is 01:46:55 just be able to finally see where you are, where your position. Um, and he's going to then just use his movement and charge towards you, uh, in an attempt to like tackle you after he does that. It's not going to be able, he's not going to be able to connect. He's in the position of trying to, that's his next move is to like tackle you. Uh, and he's on the way. Um, fellows is, is, is secured with you. Uh, he rolled low. I'm not going to have you contest it. Okay. Um, top of the ramp, squad. Um, yeah, they're, are they also alive after that bomb? Three of them died because that's a bomb. And it destroyed them. Um, because they take damage, they take group damage like that. Um,
Starting point is 01:47:53 but there's still three left. So, um, because they were separate and, uh, not positioned. Um, they, though the lights are off, you know, Laptis industry is leading in technology. So there's a level of night vision abilities that these groups have. Um, because they are in a text situation. It's not going to do them much justice, but we'll see. Did they just have like handy? Oh, yeah. They probably got my night vision. They probably got your NVG contacts. They're hot. Yeah. Um, they're just popping, but they pop off shots. Um, as you flip or running, you just hear the sounds of just ricochets and the darkness just and, but you don't feel anything. Starting point is 01:49:46 but she's going to take, uh, she's going to try to book it out of the, out of the office and make it for the door as well. So I'm going to roll like towards the elevator. Well, she's at least trying to leave the office. She won't be able to go anywhere like that, but she is, um, trying to escape. Um, okay. She, um, yeah, she tosses the knife and, uh, since you are, where are you at blues wise? Cause you're on troubles, cause you're on troubles of brewing. So you're, you take, you take a blues damage instead of heart damage. Okay. So yeah, I'm at nine. Nine. Okay. Yeah. Um, she takes three point, you take three points of damage from her as she
Starting point is 01:50:38 throws this knife directly at you. Um, yeah. So we go into blues and not into heart. Since we're troubles. Yeah. Troubles of brewing is that you, you exert blues during this period at the end of the scene, then you take the repercussions of, of falling into that. Um, um, as we, as you slowly kind of gain, actually like, what kind of like, no, we'll, we'll deal with troubles later. Um, she kind of throws that knife at you, stabs into you. Um, but she's slowly kind of staggering and trying to get to the door. I mean, she's not moving fast. I mean, she's, she's taken so much damage. Um, but you know, she's also at this point terrified and is not getting anywhere with this. So she's going to try
Starting point is 01:51:29 to run. Um, Lev, it's your turn. Um, you hear the, you hear the sounds of what's like, you saw that burst and you could see like Creighton looking at you. Um, and then you start hearing the sound of boot steps, like me charging towards you in the darkness. Um, what are you doing? I would like to rip the knife out of her head, uh, and sidestep and just have the knife forward so that he runs into the knife first. All right, roll me an attack for that. And so when he goes to tackle you, you just plunge the knife straight into his side as you both kind of are, you know, you, you have to fall into the weight
Starting point is 01:54:08 of him. Um, as you both kind of collapse on the ground, but you managed to sink a really good under, right under the rib, just a good shot. Um, as you now are fighting close to each other in the darkness. Um, Captain, you, some of the squad you saw, uh, was about to pop off on you, but the lights went out and then they started firing wildly, but nothing managed to hit. Um, but now you're in the darkness and you hear this, you heard the sound of flip, like in the distance saying, let's get the fuck out of here. Um, what do you want to do? So can't leave Lev and Lev is in a very vulnerable position right now. You can be all involved and can. I'm full of rage. Yeah. No captain will leave their
Starting point is 01:55:09 people behind. Um, and so at this point, the mentality is over Lev so they can take care of business and fucking, so keep these three surviving squad members off of them. So just going to start pumping rounds down range at these guys, uh, just in the general direction of their muzzle flash and just cover Lev, keep him suppressed. Yep. Cool, cool, cool. And like you only, you kind of like, as you like, you're just like up against like a door, like there's like a little just like alcove or something, whatever it's called, right before the door is, you're kind of like pressed up against it and you do see kind of like a barrel of a gun, but then it just pulls away because they rolled a low on the observation

So they didn't, they decided not to go further past the point and they, they go towards the, um, where Harrison, where you know where Harrison left you last to go up that other elevator. Um, and then you hear, there's only one guy. Yeah. As far as you can tell, because you rolled low on the observation check, you only know for sure that there's one of them. Um, but you go, uh, but you hear like what they're calling for the elevator and when they do call for the elevator, uh, you hear an explosion and then just, uh, the sound of loud noise is like an elevator drops through, you know, and crashes because you're on the second floor, it goes past the second floor and then you just hear a rumbling
Starting point is 02:15:18 from underneath of, of something happening, of that explosion. Actually, it'd be moving incredibly slowly, but whatever. Aaron, no. What is science, Aaron? Try to tell a story. Um, anyways, you hear metal screeching down the side of it slowly, whatever. Um, um, and then they kind of, uh, you hear some, a little bit of like, like noise and stuff like that. And then it sounds like they've, the people are like going away. Like they hear like a door opening maybe to a stairwell instead as they're trying to get, go upwards. Now you're once again alone in this hallway. Um, I would have looked at it tidy and I'm going to say, when we're,

You kind of hear you see it kind of bounce off a little too little flicks of light, but it's also very dark in here and with the tight space can't quite catch you. But you're still making it down. You see the elevator and you go and you have to wait for it to be called back up to your floor. I think as soon as we make like we clear the outside, I'm telling Harrison, we're outside, hurry up. Starting point is 02:37:52 to get it all set up to clear yourselves to fly out. Nobody really knows what the fuck is going on. As you're making your way out into the, you're into the foyer, you're waiting for the elevator to open. So I wanted you to see how quick you're going to get into that elevator and get it closed. Eventually you hear like in the distance the sound of a door being opened from the stairwell and stuff like that. And footsteps eagerly like

Finally, the, the, you hear the dang and doors open, you just like rush yourself in and now you're, you know, you're trying to close the door, you're pushing the button over and over and over again. And just then you see like, you know, the two, two security here, the, um, the hallway, see the doors slowly closing, pops off rounds, you just see ricochets, like just three stars, but the door finally closes. Starting point is 02:39:36 loading dock to see how well you can clear the facility. Do it. I'm going to exert. Right of the dice, guys. All right. Eight. Eight. Yeah. You, you clamor out. You had this pause for a moment and stuff like that, hide behind a car as some of the group passes by, you wonder for a moment if they're going to get you, but they seem to just keep moving. And you exit out of the facility into the streets through, you know, through to the other, the other section where the terminal is, you eventually clamor on to Twilight. So I clear out of the ship. Yeah. You managed to get on the ship. Yeah. You cleared the same checks everybody else did. Let's go. I slam the door and take off.
Starting point is 02:40:30 Yeah. You get cleared access in the time it takes for Harrison to finally get himself there. Yeah. You managed to clear traffic and you guys exit as close to like light speed as I can get us to be. Yeah. You, you eventually, you know, clear airspace or space, space, space, space, space, space, space. Hey, you head out, you head out into the drift once more. We'll beat a little bruise, a little hurt. Little somewhat alive. Oh, man. Oh, my. How are you guys? How is everybody, you know, now that you've finished our deal and, you know, anything you guys want to do or say to each other, wrapping it up.
Starting point is 02:41:22 Yeah. I just want to say that our descent out into the void is actually going to happen very slowly because first we have to get into orbit. No, no. We take off at the speed of light. Fuck you. I do cool pilot shit and we fly away. We also have a hole in our ship. Our orbit. Oh, yeah. I saw that. Oh, that patch in your ship. Yeah. Oh, you mean the glory hole that I'm never going to fix? Yeah. Oh, god. Yeah. Exactly what that is. Stuff like a dishwasher against it. Yeah, especially for like Lev and Harrison who like dipped into their troubles and stuff like that. You know, that's that's a lot of like shit. So kind of just now that the dust has kind of settled and shit happened, you know, where are you guys at?
Starting point is 02:42:18 I think as soon as we make it into like the void, I go down the stairs and I find Harrison and I just hug him. Yep, Sam. Is she dead? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. How about uh, you haven't changed at all? Oh, no. Like uh. Covered in blood. It's a good look. I might keep it. Hanging out with Ted too much. Mmm. I might go. Tighter hug. Oh. It doesn't feel any better, does it? He's kind of like, he's just kind of crying now. Yeah. So, hmm. I think good intentions get us here. I have to look my mom in the eye now. My other mom. I'm gonna just clean up before I do that. Don't want to scare the kids. Sure. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:43:28 Kids, right? Yeah. I bet they'd like to learn from you. Oh, that'd be fun. Yeah, let's do that. Let's set that up. Yeah. Teach my siblings. I was gonna pull the uh, the wedding ring out of his pocket and use what's left of the chain that he had for his jar and he's gonna put the ring on that and clasp it up. Captain. How are you doing? He'll hurt. Yeah. Captain's probably, I'm hoping, getting some medical treatment aboard the ship. Yeah, there's a med bay. I owe Ted some stitches, so. Yeah. Yeah, probably pulling out some buck shots, some slugs, but yeah, just glad the crew's intact. Holy shit. Holy shit. Yeah. Any last things for Flip and Tiny? Yeah. Are you also sitting with Ted in the med bay getting help? No, there's a bigger priority
Starting point is 02:44:30 because that was a lot and Tiny probably got dirty, so I'm going to give him a bath and then brush him out before I go get help. Oh. Your priorities are in the right order, sir. Yeah. Yeah. Well, Ted's getting stitched up. You can look down the way like there's a washrooms not too far from the med bay and like in a sink, there's Flip just scrubbing little Tiny. Oh, Eddie hates it. He looks so sad. Oh, he's shaking a little bit. He's tolerating it because like, you know, but you flip him out, you brush him up. He forgives you as you put him in his pocket. Yeah. And you guys sail off for another day and that's where we'll leave this. Yes. Wow. Yes. Well done. He planned to kill us and we said, fuck you. Yeah. You did say, fuck you.
Starting point is 02:45:33 I was ready for a crew one finale. Yeah. No, no, no. No, no, no. We're going to be chaotic and we're going to live to see another day. Well, well, Allegra's dice rolls nicely done. Allegra's dice rolls this time. The only time I've ever rolled. Well, save those up for this. Why don't you? Logan's not going to survive the finale now.
