Hey, good morning. Good afternoon and good day folks. Allow me to welcome you to another episode of Orpheus
of Vince, your host and storyteller for this campaign. Joining me, as always, are Aaron as
Abner Abernathy, who's saying hello. There he is. Oh, yeah. All right. All right. All right, bro.
As Logan Rio Mercado. What's up? Amanda as Mia Castillo Bennett. Hi. Caleb as Colette Sawyer.
Good morning. Eli as Nicola Colannick. Hey, good morning. Sergio as Lavinia Eileen Dolls. What's up?
And Vivian as, or, and Vivian, Zacchia, the same person now. Zacchia as Vivian.
5158. Please say hello. Happy Halloween.
Hey, first new game of the new year. Happy new year, everybody. Glad to have you back with us. Hope
you enjoyed your holiday break. If you had one, if not, hope you enjoyed it anyway. Here's to
hopefully a marginally better 2022. Fingers crossed. Let's see. Before we begin, please keep
in mind this actual play is intended for mature audiences. It contains elements of supernatural
horror, violence, adult language, sexual situations within your heart, substance abuse, and more.
We are getting into a particularly dark scenario. There will be elements of violence, stalking,
that kind of thing. So please keep that in mind. If any of those are troubling,
you know, we recommend that maybe tune this one out. But however, just know that before we actually
delved into this scenario, before I even started developing it, we went through safety checklists
to everybody here and make sure they were good to go. Double check to ensure this wasn't going to
be too troubling for the players, because obviously we don't want to make them uncomfortable.
So we are good to go for the most part. We'll see what happens. But viewer and listener discretion
is advised. Music in this episode is always to be brought to you by the phenomenal folks at
Cryo Chamber and Epidemic Sound. For more information, visit cryochamber.bandcamp.com
and epidemicsound.com. If you like what we're doing here, made a role play,
obligatory plug for the Patreon folks. Head us up. I know, Serge, if you want to kind of talk
about some of the things you've been doing recently with like the giving away free months and stuff
like that. Yeah, we are certainly trying to ramp up our Patreon posts, stuff like scenario guides
to some of the scenarios that we've recorded and that are original, certainly for Orpheus and
certainly for Doom to repeat. We have some of Zach's amazing art hidden for you to access and
a bunch of other stuff. We're starting to do some patron only streams, patron only one shots,
patron only video viewing parties. So we're trying to ramp all that up for this year.
Definitely check all of that out. And yeah, you know, if you guys, I think for the that'll be in
the month of May, I think we'll probably have some kind of giveaway for some some Patreon slots.
So for sure. Yeah, so why are we doing it in May? Oh, we can, we can, we can have the
I will say having been on the inside and seen some of the contents would be coming out.
For those who are Patreon patrons or for those who are maybe considering it,
you got a lot to look forward to. You know, Sergio has got some phenomenal Delta Greens
videos getting ready to come out for our patrons. I'll be releasing my storyteller notes for Orpheus
for those sessions and a little bit more in depth and they're kind of depart from the
pre written material. So a lot of good stuff and honestly, the discord alone is worth the price
of the mission. And you get that at $2 a month. So we got some great people in there. It really
is a good time. So consider it, you know, if you got it, if you don't, that's fine. Continue to
support share like and all that on social media. Before we begin, does anybody else have anything
else you'd like to announce? I do. Yes, please. Next week, Saturday, come back here to Mayday
at 2 p.m. Pacific Standard Time. We'll be hosting a charity event for the Trevor Project. Yes. Ben
from Neverknot DM will be running a group of creators from the TKRPG space through their
world of Syndra. It's going to be a fun time. Proceeds go to, of course, supporting the Trevor
Project. It also helps support us as we're going to the story, give us advantages, give us disadvantages,
help us out along at the story. At the same time, there'll be a lot of prize giveaways. We have a
bunch of bunch of bunch of bunch of stuff, including a copy of FizzBang's Treasury of Dragons
that was given to us by D&D Beyond, as well as Dungeon and Glitch merchandise and etc. So please
join us. It's going to be a fun time. Sounds like a good time. That's awesome. Yeah, I mean it's a
tune in. That's going to be fun. The hell yeah. Well, awesome. Glad you're getting to do that
and clean line. That's a sense of gently. Anybody else? Yeah, I just wanted to speak up about a
Deadlands campaign that I'm a part of with Sherry Smith 2012 on Twitter. She's
conglomerated all these fantastic players from the TTRPG family on Twitter, and we put together
this wonderful campaign that's coming out piece by piece. The first episode is available now, but
this coming Wednesday will be my first episode I'm featured in, and it'll premiere on her YouTube
channel, and she'll be posting a lot about it on Twitter as well. So look out for that if you
want to see me play some Cowboys. Love that. Yeah, watch the first episode. It was good stuff. So
if you like the weird West, if you like Savage Worlds, you definitely need to check it out.
Um, with that, I think we can get to work. So, Sergio, Sergio, Lavinia, Sergio.
That was going to be my sister's name, but no, they changed it. Sergio, my friend,
if you would take it away with the recap. Sure.
Note to self, don't bother Cross with any more updates. If you want something from me, I'm sure
he'll make it perfectly clear. We were given another two weeks of downtime after our zoo job,
and in that time, ingratiating myself into Crucible 12 has become easier. In the beginning,
I could tell they were repulsed by me. Perhaps I came on too strong. I'm not a bad person. I just
died that way. My revised tactics seem to be more efficient. Combined with Abner's
bumbling approach to leadership, I think they're coming to trust me. In time, I believe I can
shape all of them into their best versions. Logan and Colette organized a get together
and spent most of it complaining about work. The living are so full of fear. I see it now,
and it manifests in the most unusual ways. Logan's eagerness to prove themselves,
Colette's tortured, artistic process. Their fear is a useful tool in their manipulation,
but nonetheless, I still feel touched that they included me.
Nikoa has also shown a willingness to collaborate. She introduced me to her patron, a madam butu.
They offered to help me find a mouth of it, and, well, after my awkward encounter with Jerome,
I figured why not. Butu had no request of me, but if she's anything like Cross,
they'll come a hefty price. But that game is a lot riskier for the living.
I didn't get a chance to spend much time with Viv, but I heard she spent most of it honing
her skills as a poltergeist. That one is fashioning themselves into a weapon, and I suspect it will
only take a small push in the right direction to cause a lot of devastation. Mia also spent
some of her time away from the Crucible, but she surprised me during our job at the Zoo.
She offered me a riddle. I took it as a kind of truce. It was a trifle, but it's the thought that
counts. Speaking of riddles, I have a new one to contend with. The old fart, Abernathy,
has Cross aligned, and is actively attempting to undermine me. No doubt he is intimidated by
me and sees the murder of that lacky Chad as somehow my fault. If Lavinia were alive, I know
what she'd do. The plans she would enact to destroy his life, like so many of the men that Cross
her before. But a complication has arisen in the form of Colette. Kind. Creative. Herding.
Lavinia would be helpless against her influence. Moved by her empathy. Maybe even moved enough
to forgive Adnor. But here lies the crux of my riddle. I am not Lavinia. You see, it's a theory
I dare not say out loud to the others. It formed as I studied our first specter, Chris Allen, the
city electrician. He followed a set pattern, reenacting those tragic last moments of his life,
never deviating unless the parameters around him were altered. In programming terms, he was like a
bot. An NPC in a game. Unable to change. I wonder how I'm any different. How am I not just a
manifestation of pure instinct? Emotions running on inertia. My consciousness simply is a byproduct
of a sod. Lavinia wasn't static. She could change. She could grow. But I fear forgiveness is a
concept maybe only for the living. Sometimes I wish I could share these thoughts with the others,
with Nikola and Viv especially. I want to tell them that I I know what we are.
I want to scream at Viv and remind her she doesn't have to get revenge. We're above such earthly
desires now. I want to shake Nikola out of her stupor and remind her what it's like to not be
so tired all the time. But even if I did, I don't think they'd be able to do much about it.
Because they are like me. Small as an ant, big as a whale. Dancing to the music though we can't hear.
And from us you can't run. What are we? Shadows.
I've made it to the finish line and perhaps my purpose is to help everyone catch up.
Maybe that's my tether. When there's no more room in hell, the dead will walk the earth.
I shouldn't be here and when I really think about it, I'm not. But who cares to hear the lament of a ghost?
That's it.
God damn.
Yeah, take an extra experience point there. Yeah.
All right, well before we get too deep into it. We lost Caleb. We lost Caleb. Sorry, welcome back.
So I believe you all had a Halloween party before this round.
Yes. About that. Yes. Before it was yours. Okay, I forgot everything we wanted to do.
Well, there were talks of haunting a haunted house. That's right. Okay. I don't know if we decided that was mean or
not. I think as long as we don't scare anyone to death, I think that's fine, right?
Yeah.
We just felt confident. We find like a frat party or something and then we
have our way with it. I'm down to scare frat boys. Yes. Yes.
I think one frat party please.
Okay. Are there colleges in the world we're at?
There are indeed. Okay. Yep.
So I think maybe we tarry one of those.
How do we call in the grown-ups on Logan is saying this out loud? How do we call in the
grown-ups on this? Because like we're technically grown-ups, but like they're mature and
do we need maturity to to get into a frat party? I think well, no, but like we wanted them to come.
That was like the point was that we all were in the frat like at the not the frat party, the
Halloween party. Right. I mean, we don't have to. I just feel bad if we left them out twice.
And like I know the first time was my fault that we left them out, but
oh, we were going to invite them make it sound boring or something they're not interested in.
And then if they opt in, they're in and then if they don't, then that's fine.
Amazing. Cool.
So we so we let what Abner and
Nikola know about it and just really downplay it. Yeah. Yeah. I think that's the best course of action.
So who is here? Is it is it just?
Where are you?
My apartment again. Okay, cool. Logan, LaVinia, Viv, Collette, you're here for the Halloween party.
Yes. Okay.
Okay, cool. So one of you G points to Logan or Collette has to call
Nikola first, I think.
Koa likes her better right now, Call. It's on you. I'm a dead person.
So what do I tell her we're doing? Like how how much of the truth are we telling her?
There's an event. Okay.
With some young people. Good. We are young. It's gonna be a lot of drinking.
Yeah, there's gonna be a lot of drinking. It's gonna be loud. Yeah.
We'll bring her smokes. She loves those. Yeah. Right. There will be smoking there. Yeah, there
will be who knows what kind of smoking. Do I mention AB? Do I tell her Abner's coming?
We're all we're some of us getting together. Yeah. Yeah, this will be fine.
Specifics aren't important. Is it a costume thing? Are we wearing costumes?
Yes. Yeah. Yeah. Come in costume. For sure. Definitely come in costume. Okay. All right. Okay.
Okay. Who's calling Mia? She's also second scariest. Probably you. Fair. Fair. Super
fair. Super fair. Vin, do you want to call Abner? Sure. Yes, I can do that. Cool.
You also manifest to use the phone. Okay.
Okay. You spend vitality to make this dumb call. It's before our mission. It's fine.
If you want, Vin, I could just I could make the call and put it on speaker for you or something.
So you don't have to manifest. No, I'll I'll I can go see him in person in the office. Oh, cool.
Okay. So I think with Mia, we have to tell her she can invite her cop.
Is it the duchess? Her majesty? Whatever? What does she call her?
Majesty. It's majesty. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Okay. Good. Yeah.
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. This is a party and that is a cop. Hold on. Ooh, that's a very good
point. Good catch. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Maybe not. So it's an office only. It's a, you know,
office group only. Well, who's specific? Do you say we want to Kate that we probably
didn't have Kate. They never mind. That's a bad idea. As soon as I said it, I was like, never mind,
man. Yeah. Okay. So we rendezvous or I don't know, Logan, do you have costumes?
I have what I was going to wear, which is my old firefighter uniform, except probably not all of
it. That's real inventive. It's clever. Fuck you. I have, I have something in my disposal. I'm not
going to go out and get something else. Yeah. I totally get it. You're going to like it when
you see it. Yeah. Why would you want to be creative? I get it. All right, artist. What are you going
to be? I don't know. Oh, you don't know? I was, well, I'm going to do something. I'll tell you
that much. I was thinking maybe one of you, but I haven't decided who yet. Maybe Abner. I could,
maybe I just come as a can of beans or that fucking mountain he loves that much.
Yeah, that's how you get him to like, join us. What does that mean? He might look at you weird,
though, if you had dressed like that mountain. Yeah. He does always come to that misty look
when he looks at those pictures. I really liked Mount Rainier when I was in fourth grade, but
he really likes Mount Rainier. What would that costume look? Do you just buy a t-shirt
or like a poster and just put it on? Just, I was thinking like paper mache.
Like, okay, but like this isn't like two days, right? Are you going to make a mountain in two
days? You buy some chicken wire and you cover yourself with paper mache. You do have to sleep
still. But it's like a party though. You also have to like be able to like.
We're overthinking this. I'm going to be drunk anyway. It'll be no big deal.
We call. We go. I'm very cold.
How do each of you, do you all like go with us or are you out?
I'm probably going to stay. You guys are calling me?
Yeah, no, someone has to actually visit. I'm a dead person. Yeah. I know I say this a lot,
but I'm a dead person. I'm going to go see Oa in person the next day and invite her personally.
Make sure I say all the things that we mentioned before.
I'm very convincing. I could roll.
No, yeah, I want to. I feel like I would know you're lying the whole time.
The entire time that she's describing the party to you, it sounds like there's going to be
12,000 more terrible things behind it.
Okay, so everybody will say everybody rallies up. Everybody meets up.
Levinia, you go to Orpheus, of course, to.
Yeah, I manifest and I also make sure that a few people see me before I approach Adder's
office. And I'll just, you know, I'll walk in, pretend like nothing's happened,
and invite him to the party.
It's going to be a lovely time. You're welcome to come. Say it again. I didn't quite hear you.
Like with hats and stuff and costumes and drinking and other things. You don't have to
go if you don't want to. I know you're very busy with all this research you've been doing lately.
No, I think I'll be there. Excellent. Well, I look forward to seeing you.
I think we can leave it at that. Okay, so where are you going? You're going to a fraternity.
Okay, we got to pick a college, guys. There's University of Colorado Boulder,
there's University of Denver, University of Colorado Denver, MSU Denver, and 20 more colleges on top
of that. Between the springs and Denver, you've got a shit ton of colleges. Let's go fuck up the
University of Colorado. Hashtag go use. And we'll find the most alpha, gamma, kappa
I was going to try to find one, but that was a Google rabbit hole. I wasn't prepared to go down.
Yeah, no, definitely not. I'll start getting emails as a 36 year old male.
Yeah, no, so you find, I mean, you walk down fraternity row and holy cow, it's parties left
and right fraternities, sororities, co-ed, it's all, it's, it is as the kids say, a popping off.
All right, so I think this is manifested. Yeah, I'm not manifested.
Skims, but not manifested. So you're okay, so I got to write this shit down. All right,
so Logan is skimmed, not manifested. We're all haunting the party. I drove my car, I parked it,
and I'm sleeping in my car. So there's a passed out person dressed as a firefighter in their car
outside this party. Oh my God. I'm not regretting it yet, I promise. So I'm not in front of the
party. I'm like, sure, around the corner or like up the hill. Yeah, no, I got you. I got you.
Are you in the front seat?
You put yourself in the trunk. That's a good idea. Oh, sure. Yeah, that's great.
I don't know how Jason Carl kept a straight face the entire time through his entire play of LA by
night. I don't know. I'm trying to be more like Jason Carl Robb. So all right,
Kola, LaVinia, you are not manifested. Who else is manifested or not manifested? I will not manifest.
Okay. And then obviously, so Mia and Abner, you're going to be in your meat suits, right?
Wait, I was going to say, did anyone reach out to a Kola? I for sure called you. Yeah. Okay,
you did call me. I was like, hey, yeah, you, I think I make a specific point to say you can't
bring the cop because we are going to a party and I, you know, but, but also like, okay, we're
gonna, it's like a bonding experience, dude. Like all, all seven of us are like,
so everybody's fighting. So we're getting, so you all are getting messed up at a frat party in
public. I didn't say it was a frat party. I just said it was a gathering of lots of people and lots
of music and lots of drinking. All right, hold on. I'm just, I'll be there. Just don't tear it up,
literally. Okay. If you want to go ghost, gotta drop by Orpheus first, but I can pick you up.
You will not be able to use company resources to a fucking frat party on Halloween.
Okay, try. That's fine. This game is bullshit.
Collette, are you going to skim? No, I'm a whole ass person.
I need to make a distinction about looking like a firefighter, because it's not the full
firefighter outfit. It's, it's the pants and the jackets tied around my waist, but like just like
really tight, short crop top, sleeveless, short, tight crop top to show off abs and also arms.
That's what they would know. Vince, I understand that you just said no.
Is there any chance I can like manipulate the system to be a ghost form? Because I don't see
how else Amdur is going to do this. Right. So, so the issue is you'd be out for at least probably a
week because it takes time to put someone under and then bring them back out. So I mean, listen,
if you want to try to work your, use your status, we could definitely,
Can I, can I, because I kind of been living in that state anyway. That's, that's true. Like I was
there like the whole last game. You were down. But if you want me to make a roll, yeah, let's do
a status roll. I'll do that. Let's do status plus manipulation. Oh, that'll be your poll.
That's a thank you for your generosity. Absolutely. I'm nothing if not generous.
Nine dice. Oh, Jesus. Okay. Yeah. I have five manipulation and four status.
Mother. Okay.
I know I've asked this a million times, but and I should know this by now. It's a D 10.
With a difficulty yet to roll above a six to get a success.
Let's see after all above a six. That is a surprisingly bad roll, but I still get four
successes. Yeah. Okay. With that, yeah, you, you manage to talk and, and cajole one of the
sciences and to put me under and you, you go to sleep, you go zero. I think, I think the way that
works is the guy is just so sick of talking to Abner that he's just like, all right, fine.
Yeah. Yeah. Absolutely. So yeah, you are easily able to manipulate someone into,
into throwing you under, especially when you start pulling, pulling rank, so to speak.
But yeah, you, you are, you're put under, you're able to manifest. We need to have some kind of
signal like, you know, Viv take control of the DJ system and play a song or something to let us know
it's time. And it sounds great. Okay. Okay. Okay. So when you hear,
um, what's the body's at the floor? The body's at the floor is good. I was going to say soldier
boy, but that's better. I'm going to go put my swag on. Yes. Put my swag on.
Yeah. I think so. Oh, this is Colorado.
What are the odds that the DJ has swag surf on their playlist?
Oh, I think you're muted. Let's, let's institute a Delta green,
look, roll, roll a D 100 to see what happens. He wasn't muted. He was just internal.
Yep. That's a success. So yeah, he's got, he's got it. What a swag surf on his swag surf.
We're going to mix it with let the body sit before because I think that's going to sound great.
Brad. And when you hear that mashup, I suppose go ape shit. What happens when I play the song?
Well, I am going to do my thing, which is I'll probably take over somebody's body and start
having like ride and flip around all over the room like a maniac.
Just be creepy and wail, but like in a creepy way, not like super scary way, just like, hey,
there's monsters in the closet or some shit. I don't know.
Abner, make the like the lights turn on and off and stuff.
I'm already the house.
I'm going to be, um, Logan, you said monsters in the closet. Yeah. Okay. I'm going to start
fucking with the closet. I assume this is like the coat check coats everywhere. Yes. Cool. Nicola.
What are you going to do? Yeah.
I'm just, I'll pull a cigarette out and light a cigarette.
Looking to somebody's future and tell them something bad about it. Oh, tell someone when
they're going to die. You don't even have to. It doesn't have to be real. It's almost too much.
No, tell someone when they'll be born, find a drunk person and tell them their new birthday and
just let that play. Or just manifest in front of somebody, you know?
Is that I'm all for a little team bonding exercise, but please don't do anything that's
going to get this in the papers. As long as we're not seen, it's fine.
Can't argue with that logic. Oh, I'm in physical form.
Yeah. He is just, oh God. I'm by the whatever fret bar and in my costume that says God,
that's just right there. That's my costume is just that drinking. And then if anyone's smoking,
I'm just kind of like whatever. I'm like, if anyone approaches me, I'll tell them gruesome
stories of my war times. If not, I'm just kind of just making sure they don't burn the house down.
So there are a couple of comments of what's the boomer doing here kind of thing.
Boomer, hold on. No, no, no, no, no, no. I ain't no boomer. That's a different campaign.
I know, but there are a couple of guys who I would say that would check them.
They're trying to holler. So what's what's me as a reaction? Because this is a drunk frat party.
Okay, wait, how's that supposed to impress me?
That's it. That's the best you got. Get the fuck out of here.
You soon find yourself alone in a corner of the
Do better.
I'll just say, why don't we like do better? That's like whatever. And I'm just going to go back to
drink a beer. So who's so we'll set the scene. Who is where?
Collette has moved from the first floor pretty much immediately to the second floor because
before she was sober, she used to steal drugs at house parties. Right. Now she can't do that. So
she's instead trying to steal the most valuable thing this front house has. Awesome. And she's
dressed as a very slutty Salvador Dali. Beautiful. You actually find a Rolex, one of these douchey
fat boys whose parents probably have more money than you know what to do with who probably have
a hall named after them just so we could get in. Clearly, I like fraternities. You lift a Rolex,
it's nice. Beautiful. Who else? Where else is everybody? I'm just in the middle of the dance
floor waiting for my cue. I'm everywhere. So you possess the house, correct? Yes,
Vitality. Let's do this. Okay, here we go. It's a scotch. It's a scotch. We attract Hellhounds
because of this. I'd say you'd need to spend this is a larger house. So you would need to spend five
Vitality. Yeah, and then go ahead and roll your, actually, yeah, no dice rolls required. So for
five Vitality, you are in the house. Logan is floating around tripod. What'd you say?
Nothing. Oh, no. You are very low on my end. I don't know if you got super quiet all of a sudden.
Carry on. Oh, there you are. Beautiful. Beautiful. So, Logan, you are,
this is where it gets odd. You're getting lux. I'm not manifested though. I know. What?
Oh, that's right. Guys have seen so much death.
There's like a little group of three that are smoking something and one like this smack in his
body is like. I'm gonna go up and like am I am I about on par with height with them?
Yes. Yep. I'm gonna get just about nose to nose with one of them and just keep staring in his eyes
and slowly just manifest like the smallest amount I can. So it looks like I'm on fire a little bit
like instead of the the drowny version, it's a lot of like smokey wispy charred. Not fully,
just like the barest hint of it and then I'll stop it. He is frozen and his eyes and his
buddies are, you notice her bloodshot. They are frozen and you smell the scent of urine as one
pisses himself. Yes. But they don't move. They are, they are, they are, they have gone past
fight and flight and they are in straight up freeze. Freeze. Yeah. Happy Halloween.
They book it out of the house. Good. Good. I think Logan immediately feels a little bit guilty
about it. Yeah. Yeah. Lavinia, Lavinia sees that and goes over and probably says to Logan,
I think it was pigment that they were on. Oh, yeah. That's why they could see you.
Right. I forgot that's a thing. Yeah. It's a hell of a drug. Did you, have you, have you used it?
Oh, yes. You could say that. At least when I was alive. Could you see like, you know?
Yeah. I saw a lot. Wow. I think it's why I'm a hue, actually, as opposed to a regular ghost.
That makes sense. Does it like,
I don't know. I can't get a read on how you feel about it. Well, when you're on it, it's amazing,
but I'm a shell of a ghost. So I don't know. I guess it has its drawbacks that I wasn't aware of.
Is it worth it? Probably not.
Probably not.
Well, it's good you're here, at least anyway.
Thank you. I'm looking forward to, uh, letting this, getting this show on the road.
Oh, yeah. I feel really bad about making that guy pee himself, but it was kind of funny.
There's going to be a lot of piss on the floor when we're done with tonight.
I don't think that would have changed, even if we weren't here.
Can Viv start the mashup right after there's going to be a lot of piss on the floor?
Yeah. Yeah. You are, you manage to take control of the, I'll say just, you don't even need to
spend vitality. You take control of the DJ booth and the DJ kind of, who goes by the name DJ Bluntz.
Yes, well made y'all.
Kind of like hands up, like he's like wondering what's going on as he sees his mouse moving and
shit and all of a sudden the bodies at the floor and swags start playing at the same time.
Oh, and it's not mixed well. It's literally two songs playing at the same time.
There's a lot of booze. There's a lot of booze going on, like and get the fuck off the stage
kind of thing. But yeah, the signal has been as the music kicks in. Lavinia is going to find the
most blonde bimbo that she could find the one that seems like, you know, she's, she's head of her
fraternity or sorority. Excuse me. I always get them mixed up and I will attempt to inhabit
her for the scene. So I think I'm going to have to spend two vitality.
So well, actually, so with your vitality, vitality expenditure drives the extent of control. The
successes drive how long you actually manage. Oh, okay, okay, gotcha. So yeah, two vitality
to enjoy full control of the target's body. Yep. And then what do I need to roll?
So you will roll charisma plus leadership. The willpower is a difficulty, but she's blasted.
So difficulty probably isn't going to be high. So we'll say that we'll say difficulty five.
Yeah. All right. It's not a complete failure.
That's three successes with two nines and a 10. Got it for the scene. So yeah, you you easily.
I think what I'll do is like I manifest her and like her friends are talking to her.
If she's got a drink or a hand, I'll just throw the drink in one of her friends hands
or face and then I'll just start like writhing like a maniac on the dance floor, like screaming
like a banshee as if, you know, I'm being torn apart by some invisible, you know,
foe or something. Yeah, there's there's like a wide swath given to this flailing female
sorority sister. And people are like, what's going on? Oh, my God. It's chaos.
Absolute chaos. Yeah. Okay. Who's what's Nikola doing all this? I'm just curious.
I think Nikola at the beginning of it is just looking was probably standing next to me at
the whole time and just looking at the crowd. But once everything starts going off, just the
emotional feeling of people getting scared and all this energy, she finally just puts
a cigarette in her mouth and walks outside. Okay, okay. You won't get any spite for this
excursion. That's good. Adler, what do you do being in control of the house? So
you're here me out. I'm going to hear you out. I'm going to go from like bedroom to bedroom in
the frat house, whichever one's like occupied. And I'm just going to start like kind of flickering
the lights to like, whoever's in there. Okay, that's like my overture. Okay. And if there's like,
if there's like, like, like speakers, like at the outlets or whatever, I'll try to like, I don't
know, crank some coil wine through them, just be generally spooky. Okay. But then when I'm sorry,
do I go ahead? Yeah. Oh, I was happy to roll for cock blocking. But
but when when Lavinia starts writhing on the floor or whatever, is there any way that I can
like, turn the breaker off? Yeah, I'll say that's relatively easy. I won't even make you roll for
that. Yeah, all of a sudden, as soon as Lavinia begins to ride and throw this this poor girl's
body around the power cuts, and everything goes dark and goes silent. Except for the screams.
Yes. While it's dark and silent, can I sort of wander around the building turning on as many
faucets as I can find? Are we going to wet bandit this? Is that what's going to happen?
Yeah. Are we going to end it? Home Alone? Home Alone. Yeah. I have not seen Home Alone. What?
I don't like Christmas movies. It's barely a Christmas movie. It's like a, it's a child
murdering two old men. It's die hard for kids. It's a group of burglars who leave a calling card
by clogging the drains and then turning on all the faucets in the house they rob. So they call
themselves the wet bandits. Are you clogging the drains Colette? Hell yeah. Yeah. We're trying to
get the water to run. We are wet banditing this. And I'm starting on the second floor. So it starts
to fall over the bandit into the foyer. Holy shit. Okay. Got it. So Mia, do you do you expel at this
point? I would stick around for a little bit to watch the chaos because I'm just like now I'm in
that like these dumb asses. I think it's funny, but I do want to check on Nicola because I was just
like wait because they left. I want to make sure that they're okay. We'll say before that happens,
Koa, you wanted to foreboat a little bit. Yeah, fuck it. Are you going to, are you going future
past? What's the plan? Let's go in the future. Let's do a week into the future. Oh, okay. All
right. Love it. So go ahead and roll perception plus empathy. Difficulty is six. So that's two
vitality as well. The house is just shut down. My God, we spoke all over police tape all over it.
That's five successes. Beautiful. Okay. Are you focusing on any question or idea in particular?
No, just a general casual look into the future. Okay. I'm trying to keep my mind off of how I'm
feeling right now. Okay. You close your eyes and you focus and you're back home and you know it's
the holidays. It's almost like the last time you forebode and you saw into the future. You smell
that cooked meat. You hear the laughter and sounds of conversation among your family members having
gathered and you realize you're at the head of a table and your family is on both sides of you.
Your mother is at the far end and everybody's talking. Everybody's enjoying themselves.
You blink and all of them are lying on the table, their eyes staring lifelessly at you,
blood pulling from the bull holes in their bodies.
And you see the reapers standing behind them.
Then you come to.
Well, fuck, that's even worse than how I'm feeling now. God damn it.
Well, say Mia, you step out just as she's coming back to consciousness.
I just look irritated. Okay. Yeah. Yeah, I'm fine. I just don't feel like participating in
this bullshit that they're doing right now. Right. Yeah. Sorry. What's going on? What's going on?
A couple of weeks ago, not a couple of weeks ago, a month ago, I was kind of fucking around
looking into some stuff and I saw something. And every now and again, it just keeps kind of
popping up. It's just recurring. I don't know what it means, but it just doesn't feel good.
Wait, what? Wait, what is it? What do you keep saying?
There's these, I keep seeing these beings, but I'm not supposed to see memories when I look
into the future. That's not how that works. I'm supposed to see imprints of things. But every
time I keep coming back to this one point, it's always something I've already experienced,
but in the future, that just doesn't make sense. Like spending time with family and the holidays
and being together. I don't know why, but something bad's going to happen. And I just
can't figure out what it is anyways. But it's fine. It's not anything we should worry about
right now. What are you doing? Wait, right this second or in life in general? I'm trying to like
this second technically, but you know, you've got something existential going on.
Well, not seeing the past in the future and that's a riddle. Where's the video when you need
her? Great. Sorry. I'm sorry. I'm still thinking about that. Are you sure it's the past? Are you
sure you're just not seeing the future again? Like that could be like it's similar, but
do you get where I'm going? It's just that I'm projecting forward, not back. And the experiences
that I'm experiencing is something that I would technically would have experienced in the past.
I'm not, you know, I'm not a lot. What do you mean? If you want, you know, I can call, I can
have someone take a look into, you said it was your family?
I don't know if it's intrinsically involved with my family, but it's just the reoccurring event at
time. It's the holidays. It's like Christmas, Thanksgiving, something like that, which is on
the way. I think that's what it is. I don't think it's intrinsically involved with specifically
my family, but whatever's going to happen is going to happen soon, especially since today's the last
day of October. I wish we were kind of in the office right now. I never thought I'd say that,
but like I could write my notes. Okay. I actually want to go into this deeper. Yeah, that's
a crap party. I'm like, okay, I, we're not, we got a table this right now,
but we're not dismissing it. We're going to come back to this. Okay. And, but think of that offer.
I said, I can have someone at least check in on them like discreetly. Ah, this crap. Okay.
Tomorrow, we'll just, if you can remind me, we'll talk about this more. I mean,
fine, we'll talk about him later. Well, again, all the people are running.
Well, were you doing anything else? I think you wanted to do something with the coats, right?
Yeah, I have two things. I want to find wherever Colette made the water run and type,
we know what you did, smiley face, not type, write that. So the water turns red. And then
I want to go to the coat pile, wherever people's like scarves and things are,
and I'm just going to start throwing them to people that it looks like they belong to,
because I don't know who these coats belong to. So I'm just going to start shuffling and just
throwing them at people as they walk, as they run away. Yeah, I'm not even going to make you roll
vitality or make any kind of role or anything like that. Like it's just, it's happening for,
just for shits and giggles though, for, you know, using your spite a little bit,
some of your stains to write that in blood. Go ahead and just roll your spite rating.
Okay, yeah, that's fine. That's two successes. Okay, all right, you don't gain any from that.
Sorry, three successes. Okay, all right, you're good. Yep. Okay. Yeah, so you should be good.
Yeah, let's see. Yeah. Yep, you're okay. Okay. So that's happening. And all these half-naked
people are now running around in the October Denver weather, which is fucking, it can be cold.
No coats. It's chaos. It's absolute fucking chaos. Who else is doing what?
I'd like to start taking the batteries out of anything I can find.
I mean, I think at this point that people are running out of the house, she's screaming and
wailing. You hear sirens, campus police is on their way. I think I'll just have her run out
into like the, you know, the main front yard, and then I'll like pull out of her so that she
just starts acting even more strange and she's like, something was just inside of me, you know,
kind of thing. She's freaking out. Yeah. Yeah. For a second there, I thought you were gonna say,
run her into traffic. No, she's not high enough for that. Yeah, right. Just you.
Abner, what else do you do in the house? Are you kind of? Yeah. So after everybody starts running
out of the house, and it's cleared out like enough, Abner's gonna into the kitchen, and he's gonna
open the pantry, and he's just gonna start sealing all of their beans. Okay. Wait, are they rolling
out of the house? Like Chef Boyardine? No. Like, how are you getting them out? Are you like, are
you now in manifested spirit? Yeah, and all in your life. Yeah, all manifested. You're gonna be like
rolling beans, cupped in my shirt, and then before the police show up, I'm just gonna try the run out.
Okay. I'm gonna go to Logan's car, actually. Oh, God. It's far enough away that I don't start
screaming because there are these floating cans of fucking beans. Oh, no, you're manifested. So
you're good. Never mind. You're good. There's this strange man. I think it's worse if there's a strange
man carrying beans. Can I just make sure that my hair is hanging over my face so that people don't
like see that shirt. Absolutely. Logan, was there anything else you wanted to do? I think
Logan was starting to try and find like a super alpha, like just asshole, frat guy. And then a
little bit of what Kate was saying about like feeling people's fear and their emotions and
everything comes back to her. And it's it like the knowledge of it kind of slams into her like a
bus and like all the feelings are kind of like settling weird on her. So I think she's still
going to do it. But it's I don't think it's going to have the effect that she wants. Can I can I
can I like out of out of Logan's over here? This is me. Can I can I try to do the annoy whale?
Yes. So that's a zero vitality. Yeah. But potentially it work in the opposite way. I mean it
if I don't do it. Okay. Sure. Yeah. So well it's a zero vitality expenditure to do that. So just
roll your manipulation plus empathy. That is none successes. Got it. Still. Yep. Yep. He takes
off. He's he's terrified. And then I think I just try to find Colette and say there's there's
sirens we should probably go. Come on. It's just campus police. They come in little golf carts.
What are they going to do? You aren't part of this campus though. Okay. All right. We'll go. I mean
you can do what you want. You're a grown person but no no let's get back to your car. You were
right. You do look good. Yeah I know. You scare the shit out of that guy though. It was just pee.
Maybe shit next time. Everybody take a spy point. Yeah except for Nicola and Mia knows that
the square is at the circle. That is still battery. Okay. So it's pretty hateful bro.
It's pretty spiteful. And you know you didn't steal the kids Rolex but that is and also wet band.
Was it wet band? They're frat kids. I mean they deserved it. You're not wrong. I don't know what
they did but they fucking did it. Yeah and as make better choices. This Crucible 12 races
off into the Denver night. Campus police screaming up to the fraternity house behind them. Your
Halloween party comes to a I'm guessing comes to a close unless you all wanted to do something after
that. Look at this. I'm just gonna let the beans kind of out in their front seat.
Can you put them in the trunk because I think to let's gonna sit. Look at this. Mia has to sit in
the back. So like oh I could I could I could I think I would have brought my truck. Okay I'll go
with me. Well as we're leaving every like I'm going to Waffle House. Anyone else wants to join me
and I'm just gonna anyone wants to hop in. Let's go after party at Waffle House. Get in losers.
We're getting waffles. Car full of beans. My dead friends in a waffle house. I'm gonna rip cord back.
All right. So you take the level of bashing damage. You need to rip cord back when you're
standing right there. Well I probably leave like I probably rip cord back a little sooner than
being right there. Okay. So yeah your your night comes to a close. It was a resounding success.
That was pretty fun. I feel a little guilty but that was pretty fun. We did so good.
We just traumatized people for life. It feels so good. To be fair they're probably traumatizing
themselves. Exactly. I mean sure. Yeah. Now if anyone at Orpheus headquarters mentioned this we
deny deny deny right. Oh I think that's it. We went to Waffle House. Exactly.
I hope you guys are better actors than that because they'll find that. Just relax. We're
gonna be fine. We're like the animal house of Orpheus. They hate us but they gotta love us.
This is not the craziest thing. We're like lovable scamps. We'll be fine. And like not molesty.
Right. I did not molest anyone tonight. No. Where did you get that? Is this because I was inside
the house. You said animal house. Did anyone not like do you not remember a couple of scenes.
Not seen animals. I thought that was the book where the animals overthrow the farm. That was
animal farm. Animal farm. Okay. I also didn't read that. This is all happening as I'm digging
into Waffle's drinking coffee by the way. And I do have a joint there because it's the Waffle House.
They don't care. As long as you supply them some they don't care. So that's what I'm doing. I'm
gonna be like no that's animal farm. The animal house is like this comedy where the frat house and
they do all kinds of shit. But it gets kind of questionable many times.
Logan's on their fifth apple juice. Nice. Okay. Keep them coming. Yeah.
And then everyone's looking blank. I'm like I'm not a boomer. I'm actually a millennium.
Jesus Christ. Kids. Look at that movie come out. Like 1990. In the 70s. In the 70s.
Oh. In the 90s. And I definitely wasn't. It's not helping your case.
Well no. It's just that's like my dad liked it. Didn't it. VHS blockbuster anybody.
No. I was worried about your case. I'm with you Mia. I was the one who said it.
Thank you. Coffee. Dink. Dink. Great. Okay.
Okay. There are four ghosts in this Waffle House that we're talking to like they're real
with three real people. It's so nice to be fair. It's Waffle House.
They sound like to know that Waffle House transcends life and death like it makes so much
of course. These are the pillars between moral and this episode not brought to you by Waffle House
but maybe. Unless they're into it. Unless they're into it. Check out somebody role play.
With that. Well fade to black. Kind of like that show I'm a scene at the end of Avengers.
Like we saved the world just like them. Yep. Yep. And when we pick back up it is
it is Wednesday November 7th 2018. The day before you all received a text message from Kate
for those of you with phones and with instructions to let your dearly departed
crystal mates know but it's an address for a Motel 6 near Denver International Airport
and a time 9 30 p.m. No further information.
9 30 p.m. PM. Like she doesn't even say meet me here at this time. It's just link location.
Yep. How clandestine. What do we do? I'm going. Yeah. After hours a little after work
extracurricular shower made myself look a little bit decent. Okay. Go down. Is this the next day
or like this is about a week. I think about a week later. Okay. Cool. So it was the same night.
Yeah. Do you want to be out? Do you want to be sleeping Abner or do you want to be back in the
flesh? It's not going to like harm me to stay sleeping. Is it? No. I'm just going to stay like
that. Okay. I like being like this. Okay. Excellent. All right. So yeah, you all proceed to this
shoddy Motel 6 near DIA and when you get to the room there's a room number and when you get
there knock on the door it is Kate who answers. Come on in. Have a seat. Quite an unusual meeting
place, Kate. Is there a reason for this? Yeah. This one's off the books. Oh, shit.
Is that like a but you're telling us it's still so it's technically kind of on the
how does that never mind? Does it matter? Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Me. Different book. That kind of
didn't actually shut up. Different book. There's going to be no record of this one.
But we're going to get there. You're going to get there. Oh, no dossier. So if you're going to
take notes make sure you get rid of them when you're done. All right. How much of an extra
pay are we getting because this I'm asking because I'm trying to figure out how fucked we are.
Maybe about a grand more.
What are we talking about here?
This is a fumigation run. Your target is a man by the name of Coleman David Shaw.
You need to neutralize him.
Is he alive? Yeah, he's location. Last no look. Oh, good.
All right. This is what we have Coleman Shaw 45 years of age is suspecting pigment user and dealer
started stalking a Miss Alana Blair 44 about three months ago, August 2018.
Miss Blair says that she met Mr. Shaw on a nightclub here in Denver. Inhale during their
conversation. Mr. Shaw mentioned he was looking for investors for his club. Inhale
probably to launder drug money from pigment sales at the nightclub.
He was immediately attracted to her over the next several weeks. He continued to proclaim
his love for sending her gifts and messages. She refused his offers of affection. Turns out
Miss Blair's husband died a little over a year ago. He took the rejection badly became threatening
violent. Miss Blair sustained repeated vandalism to her home in her vehicle. Mr. Shaw and his
buyers have been stalking her constantly. Authorities looked into it, but the mostly
did was give a restraining order against Mr. Shaw. Shaw is 45 years old, white male. He's been
investigated for numerous drug and fraud related offenses, but never convicted. He is a known
pigment addict, believed to have several men in his employ. He considers himself the drug lord of
Denver. He has a residence at 18 Bewell Mansion Parkway in Cherry Hills Village here in Denver,
just south of the city. Cherry Hills. For those of you not from around here, that's kind of the
hoity, toyty, wealthy section of the city where all the more affluent residents live.
We did some initial reconnaissance on his residence. It's a large multi-acre secluded lot.
His home is at the end of a cul-de-sac. There's a kill zone of about 100 yards surrounding the house.
A group of four attack dogs at full run of the grounds, two levels in a basement,
five full bathrooms, eight bedrooms, 10 bodyguards at the house at any given time.
Are we to leave the anyone else we might find on the scene unharmed or can we go a little nuts?
Limit collateral damage as much as possible. Your mission is solely to ensure Mr. Shaw no
longer bothers Ms. Blair. How you accomplish that is up to you.
Who's requesting our services? Is it Blair?
We suspect she may be a pigment user as well, but she is not the objective.
When you reiterate, you are not to investigate Ms. Blair. You are to investigate Mr. Shaw.
Do we have access to any of our inventory or is that also off the books?
I can likely get you some equipment if you need it.
If that's the case, can we also get some kind of knockout gas or can a server we could possibly
use smoke grenades and distractions like that? We don't have anything like that in our inventory.
This is a next world. I know how to make it.
Lesson previous missions undertaken by other cruisers will suggest that pigment may affect
a person's ability to perceive the dead. Take the opportunity to record any interactions between
Shaw and his men with you or any other ghosts.
Make sure to protect your identities and if you can secure a sample, do so.
If you can collect any information of the pigment.
If you can find any information on the pigment trade, particularly Mr. Shaw's involvement
in it, feel free to collect and record that as well. There may be a bonus in it.
Is that a priority?
Secondary objective.
Listen, Shaw may be responsible for a number of violent crimes, including murder.
He's been investigated for at least five women going missing. Nothing stuck.
This isn't a good guy.
Do we have a list of those victims?
Yes.
Good.
Question really quick. What did you just say before? Because you got cut off. You're like
something with his men.
Like, you know, never mind, forget it.
No, no, no, yeah. So they can perceive, they can potentially perceive ghosts. If they're
all using pigment based on the information we've seen, if you're in your body out of it,
they may be able to perceive you.
Yes, men are heavily armed. A lot of them have former military experience. There's,
like I said, 10 bodyguards, five on the day shift, five at night, four attack dogs on the
grounds. Camera is probably all around the perimeter of the house. He's got a arsenal of
weapons in the home, a panic room in his basement.
Do we have any intel on the bodyguards?
Names.
No names, but we know they're with a Vora security group.
Do we know if the cameras are like those cameras you gave us?
No, no, they're not Corellum.
Okay.
All right. Well, that feels pretty clean cut.
Right.
Oh, what's the timeline?
What's the timeline?
Or yeah, what's the, yeah, timeline.
As long as you need.
What, what happens if this goes wrong? What happens if one of us gets hurt?
We'll take care of you.
Not like, not like, just take care of you. We will make sure that you receive treatment and...
You might want, you might want to work on that delivery.
We have doctors and surgeons on staff.
Yeah, we're fine.
Okay.
I think maybe it would be prudent for everyone to be
knocked out. You know what I mean? I mean, not you, Logan.
I don't know what you mean.
Ghosts, be ghosts.
Oh, yeah, that's not what I thought you said.
Are we discussing this with K here or that's where I'm like,
do we weigh or are we leaving? Discussing our plans.
I'm here to answer whatever any other questions we've got.
We don't, we don't have to kill anybody though, right? If we can find...
No, we are not telling you that you have to kill this man.
What we're telling you is you have to make sure he no longer represents a threat to Ms. Blair.
We can.
If it comes to that, you're not going to be...
As long as you do your job right, there's not going to be any repercussions.
We're not going to turn you into the police.
Didn't have a concern.
That's why this is off the books.
You look like you saw a ghost there, Ms. Colette.
I mean, it's just a lot to take in. That's all.
There's a lot of ways.
Listen, this is not a... Oh, go ahead.
There's a lot of ways to skin a cat, Colette. We don't have to kill this man.
We can incriminate him. We can find ways to...
Hell, if our Halloween party is any indication, we can find some way to scare him out of town.
We can literally skin the cat.
We're not hurting a cat.
Guys, guys, guys, guys, guys, guys.
That is not the mission.
What was that about a Halloween party?
We had a gathering at the Logan's apartment where we were...
We just group bonding exercise.
Okay.
We're very innovative.
If he's...
I'm going to look at Nicole and be like, these guys suck.
Colette, you want something?
If he's doing what he's doing to Hearthen, he deserves whatever he gets.
This isn't a good man, ladies and gentlemen, folks. This is not a good guy.
What are the names of the five victims really quick?
Six.
Six, pardon me.
Ms. Blair being the sixth, the other five where you got paper.
Yep.
Tara Fleming, Alexis Abbott.
Jill Rivera, Lynn Baldwin, Trisha Clark.
So if he likes picking on women.
Yeah.
So for anyone who's at all concerned, I need you to think of Tara, Alexis, Jill, Lynn, and Trisha.
I'm sure they didn't get a choice.
Okay, good.
And I think we're all on the same page now.
Logan's been pacing around, but they're going to stop and just like lean their hip against Colette's chair.
You all are on vacation.
You'll be paid in cash when this is done.
Very good.
We still need to discuss how we're going to approach this.
Recon, we can't go in blind.
We need information.
We don't have the time.
We don't have a deadline.
We take a couple of days, far away, recon in.
Abernathy should probably see if you can even sneak into the basement since you can possess houses.
Not from personal experience.
Yeah, I don't care.
Just do that.
Do it, but be smart.
Don't be can of beans.
Right?
Be the stairs.
Be look around.
This man, there's a reason he hasn't been charged with anything.
He has some pretty powerful attorneys on his side.
Albert Wilson and Gray.
If we get sued, we will lose.
What's that?
Do we know that name on like any other besides?
You've probably seen commercials and ads for them.
They are.
They are probably one of the most prominent attorney firms in Colorado.
Never mind Denver.
Well, it's specialized in criminal defense.
We can't go the legal route then.
Well, I think we ought to try the illegal.
Maybe we act like we're in the business for some pigment and get on his radar.
And maybe one of us plays distraction, plays new toy and draws them out.
If he thinks he's hunting us.
That's interesting.
The honey pot.
Yeah.
He does have a history of this.
He's prone to it.
Well, I think we need some information about him before we delve into that.
Yeah.
Sid, let's read because that could definitely work.
That could really work.
And if we can, we can actually make some homemade chloroform.
We can do a couple of things actually with bleach and we can, if you are good,
we can go ahead and neutralize other people and we could take our guy and get him out of there.
So there's no cameras, no witnesses and handle what we got to handle.
Listen, this is Kate talking to you, not your supervisor or your project leader.
This is Kate.
Don't put yourselves at any unnecessary risk.
If you have to kill this guy to get the job done, you just fucking do it.
Don't fuck around.
So far, sniper, far away.
Less mess?
I mean, if you can get a long gun.
I mean, do we have one?
Does that seem to be a bit of one?
I certainly don't.
Wait, I have connections.
Viv, can you make a, can you be a long gun?
Can you make your arm a long gun?
Like a sniper rifle?
I just, I...
I know you just learned that, but...
Probably.
I mean, I also could just, I also could just get us a gun.
If we'd need a long gun, I have.
We could just...
I can also just emulate him alive.
I'm gonna see about that.
All right.
Who are our skin writers in the group?
Zinnia.
A suicide, not an option.
Wait, why'd you say?
A suicide, not an option.
Okay.
Yeah.
Don't leave a trail.
Or do your homework.
Guarantee this guy isn't in bed with good people.
Probably a lot of people who want him dead.
Let's start with what Mia suggested,
which is we find out more about him, his patterns,
and then we make a decision.
But whatever the decision is,
it needs to be as simple as possible,
because the more of the moving parts,
the more of the chance for mistakes.
Yes.
You'll have complete authority in the field
to do what you need to do.
You don't need to check back in with me.
Can we get a nearby house,
or is there any vacant homes,
or anything that we can use as a stakeout,
or just a place nearby where we can keep watch?
That'll be on you.
Great.
Are there any surrounding woods?
Like we said, based on our recon,
there's about a kill zone of 100 yards
surrounding the residence.
Okay.
What does that mean for non-military people?
What does it kill zone roughly?
So, they'll shoot you 100 yards out.
You can just see for 100 yards all around.
You can see for 100 yards.
Yeah, it's wide open, no cover, no concealment, nothing.
I apologize.
That's there for a reason, though.
Kate, are there any vacant houses in the neighborhood?
No.
Are there any people out of town?
I guess you wouldn't know that.
I don't.
But it's not a bad idea.
I mean, it's a fancy neighborhood.
People go on vacation all the time.
I mean, you can also just be out of your body and hang out.
True.
Could also be construction crews that need to go check
the pavement.
Are there any potholes, electrical, and the lights,
street lights, stop signs?
Just remember, not only think outside the box,
think outside the flesh, okay?
I know, I just did.
You are not limited by your physical forms.
Yep.
I think we can start by reconnoitering the area and then go from there.
Well, unless you all have anything else, I am going to excuse myself.
Thank you, Kate.
Well, gee, thanks, Kate.
Kate, really quickly, can I add an addendum to this thing if it pulls off successfully?
Sure.
I would like to request that I can come in in sweats for work from now on when I please, too.
No, but thanks for asking.
Fine.
Friday, yeah, I'll take it.
Thank you.
We'll put the office logo on it.
It'll be really nice.
There you go.
They have a dress code on you guys?
Everyone has a dress code.
Oh, fuck.
I just don't enforce it.
I don't give a shit.
Sorry, the cool supervisor.
Let's don't wear fucking sweats to business meetings on Monday.
I'm not a dumbass.
I am.
I just don't, I just, uh, fuck, yeah, they are.
They coldies it.
Well, I think we can get to work here.
Are you all right with this?
Well, we'll make it right.
Yeah, well, you've been quiet.
You've been quiet.
Are you all right with this?
I'm fine.
Do whatever you want me to do, Kate.
It's never been a problem.
All right, good luck.
Do me a favor.
Fuck him up.
Good.
Yes, ma'am.
And she leaves.
I'm going to wait till I'm going to,
anyone else get the feeling that Kate is personally attached to this?
It's a bit strange.
I don't think it matters.
I think it's just a very unsettling situation now, isn't it?
He's a piece of shit who wouldn't want somebody like this dead.
I don't blame her.
Nope, I'm in.
Just think of him like a really old frat guy.
You don't need to convince us anymore, Abner.
I think we're all in the same boat.
I'm going to go to, oh, go ahead.
No, you're good.
I think you're about to say what I was going to say.
So, Abner, do you have an order of solutions?
Because I may have a couple.
You're the private investigator.
I'd love to hear what you think we should do.
You're a great leader.
Okay.
Embowering is his subordinate.
Oh, then tell him not to do it in that tone,
because it sounds nuts like something at all.
I'm going to go to, but he'll be like,
there are 10 guards and some dogs.
We can technically use one of them or commit suicide.
So we can definitely jump in if need be.
But before we do anything like that,
we should probably greet Pawn as much as possible.
Absolutely.
I mean, personally, I think we should keep it as simple as possible.
The moment the man leaves the house,
we have him walking to traffic or something,
and that takes care of that.
I really think we overcomplicate things.
Well, we can't just have him commit suicide out of nowhere.
We got to make it look good.
Also, if he walks into traffic, there's a chance he'll survive.
I was thinking I have some old contacts
from when I used to tour and everything.
I used to have people who would get me some things,
but I can have them look into this guy,
get some cursory exterior information who he works with,
who he talks with, who he does business through for the pigment,
and set something up on the peripheral to find out
who is it that wants him dead and where he shits, where he eats.
Okay.
It would be useful if we used that to get him out of his house,
kind of allure him to a potential...
Well, we know he leaves his house to go to the club.
So we start with enemies that might be there?
Well, we need to know what clubs are crowded places.
Well, he has his own club.
Yes, he has his own club, but you have two skin writers,
and you have people who take over the club.
We could get a meeting with him there.
I think we're getting a little bit ahead of ourselves.
I think we can start simply by...
Let's start with a simple stake out of the house,
and maybe we send a couple of you hip kids down to that club.
They just kind of scope things out.
I think we start nice,
and let's gather all the information we can
before we make any hard plans.
I don't think he needs to see any of our faces.
I'd rather he didn't, actually.
He's not going to notice.
He's not going to know.
I'm an old man.
I don't know if you noticed.
I don't know what clubs are like these days,
but I don't think he's going to notice you in there, right?
No, I'm not saying in that sense.
I'm saying in the sense of us making a meeting with him.
Well, you don't have to speak to him.
That seems dumb.
I don't think we should see.
I don't think he should see our face.
I mean, he might see it if he has pigment anyway,
but I'd like to limit that.
It would guarantee getting up close to him.
Less mistakes like Levinio was saying.
It's also not real, man.
We'd also get him out of that house
if we could get him into the club,
private meeting in his office.
It's a smaller room.
Why don't we just scope him out a little bit
before we put anyone in front of him?
Done.
I'm sorry.
No, I want to really quickly.
I'm so sorry.
If you want, I think we could do one of us,
that it could be a security guard.
Can we jump?
We could jump into dogs, right?
We could jump into dogs.
I'll get back to you on that.
Because if possible,
I could jump into the dog
and just do surveillance and recon that way.
Yeah.
Could lead all the rest of the dogs off.
You're a curious dog.
We also have the pouch rats.
Yeah, Nicole,
I think you may have insinuated in our discord
that you had a thought about what we could do with them.
Oh, yeah.
Well, I assume we could probably bring the rats
into Scout or Recon
or keep track of them.
But we'd have to have some kind of control over them, right?
Yeah, I got it. That's fine.
Can you talk to the rat to go?
No.
You can't talk to rats.
But you can influence them
and train them to do things.
I think in a couple of weeks, it's fine.
Do you guys want me to
put in some calls
and see what I can find out about this guy from afar?
While we're doing our recon,
yes.
I have a theory.
Logic tells me
that this Alana Blair
might be related to Kate
in some way.
But that's as far as I think we might need to go.
It doesn't matter.
That's none of our business.
Just talking out loud.
Okay, do we want to have
maybe...
Mia, you seem like a good fit
for staking out the mansion.
Do you want to do that?
No problem.
Can you do like...
Can you just stick to the car
or the binoculars for a night
and see how it goes?
They might find it a little sus
but I'm sure we can find a way to...
I got my ways, yes.
Yeah, you do you.
I'm sure you can handle it.
Maybe...
I hate to put you out there,
but Logan and Colette,
can you check the club out?
Yeah.
Got muscle? Got connections?
You seem like some hippie on kids.
I think that...
Yeah.
Yeah?
She's got the words. I've got the muscle, be fine.
And the rest of...
I don't know what the rest of us are going to do.
I could do some digging around
on the internet, try to see if I can...
I don't know, do another form of recon,
just trying to understand this...
this shaw a little bit better.
Maybe his history, where he's going,
where he's been.
Yes. And Nikoa,
I'm guessing you can do...
Old Reliable.
Always, always helps.
I mean, I can.
You would have to send me somewhere
for me to do that.
That's right. How close...
How close to the house would you have to be?
I need to be in the relative proximity.
I also have to have a question to ask.
So if you have a question for me
in a place to... Well, can you...
You can look back and forward, right?
Looking back might be
at the club,
where these...
I imagine he's lowering
most of these women in at the club, right?
That's an excellent question.
If they're pigment users too,
it's wherever he sells.
I mean, it could be multiple places.
There's a lot of good information.
If you can look back in the club,
I feel like there's a lot of good information
you can get that way.
Sure. Then I'll go with the two to the club.
Cool.
Does someone want to go with Mia
so she's not by herself?
I'll go with Mia. I can grab a laptop.
Okay.
Vivian, where do you think you're going to slide?
I feel like covering
your six at the club might be a good idea.
It shouldn't come to violence.
I don't want it to, but
if it does, it might be helpful.
Vivian, you just got to remember
that there's going to be people there
that can see you.
You just got to be a little careful.
Which is why I wanted to ask something.
Sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt.
You can also manifest and just look real too.
That's what I was going to say.
You should probably...
That should be your default position
here.
Okay.
I'll bottle-grill it up.
I don't know what that means.
You don't have to.
Great.
Before we kind of make our
ways and separate,
Lavinia is going to casually
pull Colette to the side
and try her best to
not make it look like anything.
Just kind of like a casual thing.
She's just going to say
if you
start feeling
triggered by anything,
we are going to be in the close proximity
of a lot of drug use.
Just tell someone or walk away.
Take a break.
Alright?
Yeah, I can do that.
Thanks, Finn. Take care of yourself.
I will.
Also, before we go,
I also want to talk to Lavinia
about something really quick.
I guess I'll pull her off to the side as well
because I don't want to be out
forward with it.
You know what pigment feels like.
Don't you, Lavinia?
Is there any way
you could express how that feels
to me
so that I may be able to emulate it
in the field?
I think in a pinch,
being able to
recreate how
pigment might feel might get us out of a pinch
if we need to, especially involving
pigment users.
You have that ability?
Whale is an ability to
manipulate emotions.
So I should be able to manipulate
the emotional feeling
of this drug.
And I need to know how it feels so I can get Logan
out of it as well.
Lavinia will describe it mostly
like heroin.
Extremely calming.
You know, kind of a body high.
But with the added mixture
of being able to see spirits,
there's this, you know,
kind of weird
clashing vibe that feels nice.
So yeah, I'll describe it as best
that I can.
So you've got a long, kind of a long
line.
You do know that there's three primary methods
of imbibing.
There is
smoking.
There is popping it in pill form and then
there's injecting directly in the bloodstream.
And so the method
of ingestion drives the effect.
So
smoking it is kind of just
it's kind of like a trippy high.
They can see
ghosts, but they often mistake them for
errant memories
that are coming up as a result
of the drug use.
There is the pill form,
which is, it's almost kind of like
a molly type. It's an ecstatic state.
There's, you know, they're sedated.
There's sexually aroused.
There's synesthesia to an extent.
Tasting colors, smelling music, hearing
tactile stimuli,
contributing to kind of the hallucinogenic
effect of the drug.
Then there is
injecting, just like heroin.
And that's similar to barbiturates.
And yeah, from what you can tell,
you can see here and speak with ghosts when you
injected and project.
So, yeah.
And I'm not a pussy, so I would inject it.
Okay.
Oh, go ahead.
Go ahead, Logan.
I was also going to go talk to Colette.
Oh, go for it.
I was thinking, like, if you want,
we can make it a whole,
a whole thing. I know it's like,
I know it's going to be rough, but
maybe if you come, you can, like,
come get ready at my place and, like, Viv can come
get ready, too, and we can, I mean, I don't know
how much Viv can get ready, but she can be there
and we can all hang out.
And then maybe after, we can all, like,
have a sleepover and
not be alone.
Yeah.
Yeah, I think I need that right now.
If that's okay with you, I don't want to.
I want that, please. That sounds very fun.
Okay.
We can do your whole queer house thing.
We'll do it.
It's not a queer house.
It's just a house where we all happen to be queer.
It's not...
I looked up when I heard queer house
and they said it a little too loudly,
and I'm like, what the fuck?
What you need is a really shitty
goodwill couch and a pride flag
and you're set.
Okay, well, I don't have the pride flag, but...
you know.
It'll be fun.
Oh.
I can draw one on the wall.
It'll be made of blood.
It'll be kind of cool.
Can you do, like, varying shades of blood
so it can be, like, the lesbian pride flag?
I mean, if I, I guess if I time it out,
it could be, like, that toast art, right?
Kyle, if you want to make, like,
a mural next to it,
you're welcome to paint with my house.
This is the bad side of performance art.
No, thank you.
Good. Great.
I wasn't sure if that was a thing you'd want.
I'm not friends with a lot of artists.
I think it's just you.
You can keep your blood toast.
Thank you.
Okay.
And I think that'll be a good place to take a break
for a little bit.
Yeah.
With our way ahead.
And yeah, this is going to be interesting.
So what do you think? 10 minutes?
Yeah.
51.
All right. See you soon.
We're back. Let's jump right back into this.
All right.
So I think we've got our way ahead.
So who is going to do what?
Well, I think we said that already.
Yeah.
Mia and I are going in,
I guess, Mia's car
to surveil the house.
Okay.
And I guess I'll be there too.
Okay.
You can hang out in the car.
Literally.
Probably not taking my truck because it is a
it is a big
all right.
So maybe we take a company car.
Oh, I wrote it down.
I got a
Yes, I did.
Ford F-150.
Get the fuck out of here.
It's a Ford F-150 Raptor
code.
I know.
Is it in that blue color?
It seems orange.
No, I think code orange.
It's like a nice, bright yellow
orange.
That probably won't
that probably won't look too
out of place in our wealthy
Denver neighborhood.
You guys are going to be 100 yards away
from the snipers anyways.
You'll be fine.
I have the truck.
Everyone's making fun of my truck.
It's a bad ass truck.
It's the orange of it all.
I'm going to the club with them.
Club got all right.
So let's start with the house.
Definitely.
What time do you guys do?
Do you all play on getting there?
I mean, let's do it early.
Right?
So at this point, it's probably 10, 30, 11 o'clock at night.
Yeah. Well, I feel like as far as the
house goes, I mean, it seems like he's going to be
there during the day and at the club at night.
But I mean, we probably want to check the house
out at night. Well, if we're, if none of us
are in flesh form, unless Mia
is in her body, give me a couple
hours of rest, but we should get there at four or
five in the morning, maybe.
So you all
will separate for the night, get some rest, kind of
rest up and then get an early start
on those surveillance.
Got it. Yeah. And for the clubgoers,
are you going to, are you going to go on like a
Thursday or are you going to go, are you going to wait
to Friday? What's the plan for that?
She probably goes Friday.
Yeah.
I think
realizing that Niko is coming with us,
I'm going to find her and say, hey, we're all getting
ready together. Do you want to come with us?
Sure.
Cool.
Where, where would I
meet you?
My place. I can pick you up. You can come
from work in your Jeep.
You can just like,
okay.
So that'll be Friday.
So we'll pick up with early Thursday
morning.
So four or five again,
Mia, Lavinia and Abner,
you head out to the Cherry Hills
Village neighborhood in Denver.
And it is very clearly affluent.
These are houses that are absolutely sprawling.
It costs way too much money.
There is way too much money
period in this neighborhood.
And Shaw's mansion
is no different, very modern,
very,
you know, a lot of, a lot of glass,
a lot of plate glass windows, just
wide open vistas and views.
Whole house seems to be surrounded
by wrought iron fencing. It's tough to get close
though, because you notice that
you pull off of Buell mansion,
the road
that the house sits on.
And it's kind of like a
long driveway that terminates at a gate
and then through the compound and then back to the house.
So you kind of need
to come off the main road if you want to conduct
any kind of surveillance.
Which will also
potentially expose you.
Right.
Is it like the kind, is it
nice enough that it's like right against
like the hill?
So there is no hill. It's kind of so
there is housing back behind
the mansion, behind
the Shaw mansion. There is some
there is some distance, so
it'd be tough to make out details.
But a lot of that
foliage has been cleared from around
the house. Well, I mean, at the very least
what we need to know is
when he comes and goes and establish some
kind of pattern. So I mean, if we can't
see
the home, I don't know if that's a terrible
thing.
Right.
I see your point.
We can start there for now.
And if one of us wants to creep in, we can attempt
that. Yes.
Okay. Yeah, let's do that.
And while we're waiting,
Lavinia has borrowed
a work laptop, has manifested
and is using it
trying to find out what she can
specifically about Shaw's
criminal record. And she's
kind of trying to put together a picture
of why
he is a very flagrant
drug
seller
but is not like,
where's the FBI, where's
why is he yet to be prosecuted
if it's really if it really is
just all about his lawyers.
Got it. Okay. So go ahead
and roll intelligence
plus
let's do
computer
investigation. Okay.
So let's see
intelligence
and investigation.
Okay.
And Mia, you've probably got access
to some databases and stuff
as well through your private investigators license.
Private investigators, yes, and I
also have
from my detective's license, I have
contacts as well. That's right. Okay.
How many successes there?
So I rolled an eight, a three
and a one, unfortunately. So that's zero
successes. No successes. Yeah.
It's tough.
A lot of Google
rabbit holes. It's tough to find really
anything. You find a bunch of public facing
stuff, but nothing that really
kind of digs into the details of what it is
you're specifically looking for.
Yeah, the son of a bitch has hit it himself well.
Yeah, yeah, no social media profile
to speak of.
Looks like he, you know,
stays pretty below the radar.
Kind of
I have two points in law.
I really am curious if like
could doing a little research online
just like Googling these questions could
LaVinia get a better understanding that
like if we were to
incriminate him somehow, like what would
it require for like the fucking FBI
to show up at his house or
like have a more legitimate
you know
arresting of this man?
Okay. If you want to roll
roll
wits plus law
how are your wits?
What's higher? You can see your wits.
My wits is at a three. My law is at a two.
So good. That's a good dice poll.
Yeah, go ahead and roll that. Okay, so roll both
of them, right? Yep. Yeah, you pull them together
and roll that. Okay. What's in law?
Wow.
Two
a five, two, three is a two
and a four. So nothing.
No success. Oh, man.
Oh, no. I'm gonna stop
now. Okay.
Yeah, LaVinia.
Just this is your your head's
kind of racing. Yeah, all the possibilities
and potential here. It's hard to hard to drill down
and focus on one particular particular course
of action.
But I will say during the day, especially getting there
early, you do notice that
two
Cadillac Escalades
pull up the drive into the residence
at about six and depart again
at seven.
Six a.m. seven a.m.
Okay.
Two white two Cadillacs.
That's interesting. I guess it's just all the
security.
Guard change, maybe.
Oh, probably guard change.
That would explain the six a.m.
seven a.m.
It's a short time frame.
But also like
marking it down pad if any how
many people are in the vehicle.
I don't think we can see that's the problem.
We can somebody roll
not some. Oh, somebody real quick roll
perception plus alertness.
Someone other than me.
I got that.
What do you do because I got one.
Damn.
That is two
successes.
Wait, no. Wait, I'm sorry. No, one success.
One success. I will say you're not able to actually
know the license plate numbers, but you do notice
that the license plates are different on
each on the vehicle. So the two vehicles
that enter are not the two vehicles I leave.
Well, that sounds like it.
That's that sounds like a guard change for sure.
That sounds like the security company
swapping out personnel.
There's an hour of the day where all of the guards
are there and then the rest of the time it's just
what five and five like
ten five and five.
Yeah. Yeah. So based on
doing. Oh, go ahead. I'm sorry.
I was going to say, what would they be doing
in there for a whole hour?
You know what these people think that'd be pretty fast.
We're exchanging magazines or something.
I don't know.
Gun magazines. I mean,
I was making a weird sex joke.
I don't know.
I mean,
I was going to ignore it,
but it's OK.
But it was actually kind of funny.
Well, thank you.
Don't feel bad.
Can you
gosh,
I know I might I know I said this a couple
of times, but in this might be eager beaver.
But is there a way you can
I don't know
if someone of those drivers jump in, can we just
skin ride them, see what's up
get a little lay of the
inside.
Hmm. That might alert them
that they're being watched because I imagine
they can tell, right?
If you pop out of someone, it's not like
they don't know.
The concern is that they take
or they might take pigment.
So they might see us.
But if we're inside them,
that's different, though. Yes.
And I yeah, I would not be visible
if I was inside them, but
I have to get
within touching distance. I'm pretty sure.
So I'd have to like reach into
the car as it's driving.
It's a challenge.
It will be to have an easier time
of me getting into the house
because I can be in something where no
one's going to notice.
I might be able to
if you can get
to the house.
We could
well, Mia's not in her
Spectre form, but LaVinia
could try to get close enough to get into
one of the guards. But again,
what are we accomplishing by doing this?
Well, it's really fun.
Yes, but what are we going to learn?
It's definitely worthwhile
to know what's going on in the house.
OK.
Remember, we don't know
because I know Kate brought up
the fact that there's a safe room
in the basement, but we don't know
if there's another room.
If there's a weapons room.
We don't know if he even has like
innocent people in there.
There's a weapons room.
It would be nice to be able to disable
the safe room as well.
Like if he was unable to.
Exactly.
Incriminating in the house
we can see. Oh, I'm sure
there's going to be something incriminating.
Hmm.
Are we here to collect evidence? Are we here to
take or are we trying to
unalive a guy?
Yeah, I think we're here right now.
Right now we're just collecting evidence, but hopefully
hopefully the last thing later
if we're lucky.
Because from my understanding, it was
unalive first evidence
Well,
the only objective
is to
unalive him, as you say.
But
unalive him and then
make sure that unalive shot
isn't a problem.
That's the important part.
Also,
we want
information about the pigment
if we can get it.
Yes, if we can.
Exactly.
I don't know.
It's just part of me.
I'm trying to get us moving along
because I'm following the mission objective
that was laid for me.
Well, we're not
pressed for time.
That said,
Vince,
is there like a manhole cover
or anything
around like the...
There is a storm
that's a sewer grate
like in the sidewalk.
We're trying to get in the house that way.
Like Pennywise,
like Pennywise-sized storm grate.
Pennywise-sized.
Don't forget,
you're out of your body
so you could get in.
I want to see if there's a way
on a subterranean route
to get it closer in towards the property.
Let's do this.
Let's make a roll.
What do we want to do here?
I'm trying to think.
Let's do
WETS Plus
Survival.
Oh.
Okay, that's not horrible.
Okay.
Ooh,
two successes and a one.
So one success.
Yeah, you get down there
because it's a labyrinth
of
sewer drains and pipes
that most people probably couldn't fit in.
It's mainly for storm runoff
and that kind of thing,
especially once the snow pack starts melting
and everything.
You could potentially navigate it,
but with all the houses in the area,
it's tough to tell what goes where.
You lose your bearing pretty quickly.
Okay.
So that's not going to work.
Team Surveillance, while the surveillance is going on,
what is
Team
Raver, Team Clubgoer?
Whatever team name you want.
Team Raver.
What are you all playing on doing during this day?
If you want to go to Friday night,
you've got all Thursday and Friday
to kind of game plan
or I don't want to neglect you all.
I wanted to give a call
to,
I know that
she used to have someone that got
her drugs.
And I'm sure she did
not lose that number.
I think she'd put in a call
to see if they can start looking into
Oh God, what's his name? I'm sorry.
Who are we killing?
Into Shaw
and see about
you know, she'd call asking for information
on this guy,
saying that she heard
I could score or something and if that contact
could get, collect
any information or perhaps a meeting
anything they can give me on Shaw.
Do you have any specific contact in mind?
Or
I mean
We can wait.
Yeah, I mean she probably
would have someone that's within
the art scene that used to tour with her.
That was just really adept
it used to be
in the business and then now the business
is scoring drugs.
In Colorado, so Colorado based.
Yeah, I
think they would have traveled with me
but they know about
this area enough. I don't know.
It's up to you. All right. Yeah.
We'll roll with it.
So you do make some phone calls and they're able to put you in touch with
somebody local.
They're willing to procure pigment for you
if need be.
But the
main thing you get is to stay away from Shaw.
He's bad news.
Okay.
He doesn't deal himself. He doesn't hold himself
but he does have a network of dealers that work for him
and he does not fuck around.
Okay.
There are
suspicions in the community
that he may have connections down south
and nobody wants anything to do with that.
So none of them are even
willing to give me a meeting
or anything like that.
Nobody that knows him that well
and nobody who wants to know him that well
and
where you come from, you know down south means Mexico.
Okay.
What's everybody else going to do?
I think
Logan spends part
of the day like working out
to like
get ready to beat ass if they have to.
Yeah, totally.
But also I think
they pull their computer out
and do some research about
terraflaming Alexis Abed, Jerovera,
Lynn Baldwin and Trisha Clark
just to like
know about them, I guess.
Absolutely. Do you have anything in investigation?
Probably not.
Nope, nothing.
Okay.
So I won't make your role for it.
What I will say is just by Googling
they are missing person cases
in Colorado and it's been within
the past
probably five years that they've gone missing
sporadically. There's no like clear pattern.
Like it's not like
one year on the dot.
It's, you know,
pretty sporadic. There's not like a clear
pattern to it. Okay.
But yeah, it would say
the five of them have gone missing
at various points over the past five years.
Is there any like last scene
at
the missing person
you know reports? Because I know some,
but that's mostly for kids that I see it on.
Yeah, no.
Like house parties
somewhere at house parties, somewhere at clubs.
Yeah. Okay.
And the common denominator among them is
that they were involved in the nightlife in Denver.
Okay.
And the springs. Some of them are actually from Colorado Springs.
Is there anything
you do kind of during this time? Yeah.
What are the odds that inhale is a place
that I've either picked up or dropped off
something before?
Because you, you
weren't like entirely
above board, right? There was some
under the table stuff. Yeah.
Like at least 40%
under the board.
Under the table. There we go. Yeah.
You've made some deliveries.
Okay. So would I be familiar with like the exits
and... Yes.
Okay. I'd say yeah.
I'd say you have a general idea as to
the main way in and the main way out
and emergency exit.
Anything more in depth than that? It's been so long
you'd have to re-familiarize yourself with the terrain.
Okay. Cool.
That's a lot. Actually, if I
can, I just have one question
again really quick.
Do you really think we're going to need guns
for this?
Probably not the club, right?
It just feels like...
We probably shouldn't even try to bring guns to the club.
That seems like a bad idea.
Yeah. That sounds like more smoke than what we need.
Yeah. I just wanted to make sure because if you...
No. I was mostly just thinking because
you did that, that cool thing.
Your arm was like a sword. Yeah.
And I was wondering if you could make your arm
a sniper rifle and then we could just
shoot him from a distance and then we'd be done with it
and no one would have to be up close to him.
You know.
I have that in my back pocket if we need it,
but I just wanted to make sure
if that was a part of you feeling safe
in the clubs to be strapped in the club
in general. No. Okay.
I don't really like guns anyway, so it's like...
Okay, good.
Forget it. Great.
Good luck. Thanks.
I'm going to be back in like...
I don't know, like 12 hours.
I don't know why I said good luck to you.
Yeah. I'm not attempting to do anything.
I'm just going to go...
It's a stressful time.
You can hang out if you want to here also.
I wasn't trying to kick you out.
You're welcome to just chill here,
but also if you have things to do, you can...
I literally have nothing else to do.
I'm just going to sit in my basement.
So this is good. I will be here.
Cool.
Okay. I will play music.
You don't have to. That was just an option
for you.
Okay. That's...
Honestly, I haven't really had friends since I was like...
with a bunch of firefighters
24-7, so I think
I've forgotten how to talk to people
a little bit.
I'm going to be honest with you. That's clear.
But I've been hiding...
I've been hiding in a parking garage
for a year.
So that's where I'm coming from.
So we're about the same.
Great.
I used to be really good at talking to people,
and then it just all went out the window.
Completely.
And being able to turn into a ghost will be that
I'm going to play any song.
Press play on whatever is happening
on the Bluetooth speaker immediately.
Love it.
And just sit in your living room
for 12 hours.
Koa, do you do anything during this time?
I think the most important thing
during that time
would to try to get Logan familiar
with how
pigment feels like
because I think it's important
to have that...
I had a curiosity. Do you reach out to Matt
and Baht too at all?
No.
Yeah,
I feel like I should touch base with her.
I promise
I would be more communicative.
And so, yeah, you call her.
You can probably borrow a phone from any one of the living.
And
when you...
Because you're dead.
You're a ghost. You're a ghost.
Just a quick reminder.
Just in case.
When she picks up.
Hello.
Hello.
It's Koa.
I'm just calling.
You're calling me.
This is new.
Well, I did
make a promise to be more
communicative. So here is
me trying.
Is this difficult for you
in your state?
No. It's no trouble at all.
Well,
don't weigh yourself out too much.
I don't. Just a call.
Any...
I just wanted to call.
We're about to do
a...
a mission and stuff like that.
So I just wanted to check in
before I have to go off and do that.
Anything interesting?
It's
just involving a man named
Shah.
He's
a seedy individual.
I assume you would probably know about the case
if you were to dig deep.
No.
I forgot
his first name.
Colman David.
Colman.
Colman Shah.
Oh.
Mr. Shah.
Yes.
Are you familiar with him?
One could say he is a
competitor.
He...
hasn't proven anything, but rumor has it
that he uses his
medical and recreational dispensaries
to launder money for
less
savoury individuals.
Hmm.
That's interesting.
Well,
fortunately for you,
if all goes well, Mr. Cross might not
have a problem as you
fear him.
Oh, I'm not too particularly concerned about him.
I refuse to do business with him.
He is
particularly unsavory and unscrupulous individual.
But do be
careful.
If he's in business with who
some of us in the community
believe he is in business with,
then it could be problematic.
Who would he be in business with?
Is Shah
not the big fish
in the funk?
He likes to think that he is.
But this is just speculation.
My darling, please don't take this as gospel.
But,
well,
marijuana dispensaries
are a cash-only business.
You know this.
They can't store their money in banks.
And so,
as a cash business, it is a fantastic
opportunity.
And also a fantastic way to distribute
other illicit substances
that are not necessarily legalized
by the state
or the federal law enforcement system.
He
may have
patrons
in the south.
Yeah,
okay.
Patrons in the south,
like,
people he's working for?
Oh, I don't know.
I've never done business with them.
And I never will.
But,
if you
have time,
you're working with
Ms.
Kassim
working with Ms.
Castillo Bennett, correct?
Yes,
she's a part of the Crucible.
I believe she has a background in law enforcement.
Ask her about the federation.
Okay.
Do be careful, my darling.
Of course.
I have enough people behind me.
Everything will be fine.
It's a simple job. Good.
You also tell me all about it when you're done.
I will be sure to stop by
as soon as I am.
I'll see you later. I'll talk to you later.
She hangs up.
Cool.
Yeah, I will share that with everybody.
So,
yeah, I will tell them how I know
that information.
I will just tell them about the information.
Possibly laundering money and other things
through a weed business?
Is that the gist?
Mm-hmm.
So, he's
a string of dispensary.
So, as far as Madem Batu knows,
he does have a number of medical
and recreational dispensaries in Colorado.
They are cash-only
businesses. So, the ability
to launder money is
a phenomenal opportunity.
I have an idea
if we want to
cut right back to
the group. Let's do it. Yeah, as long as
the team,
the club team doesn't have anything else.
Good to go? Okay.
It's getting ready. Cool.
It's not that hard
as a former computer expert
to try and hack into the
security system of this home
and start recording
and surveilling from that perspective.
We can certainly try.
Yeah, absolutely. It's pretty hard.
I mean, I know that
there are literal cases of people
hacking into people's ring
cameras and shit like that.
So, most basic commercial
off-the-shelf stuff, like where people
forget to change
the stock password
totally.
You know immediately this is
a professional
installed professionally monitored system.
If it's a professional monitor system
then my assumption isn't correct me if I'm wrong
is that I could theoretically
go to whatever the control box
is and possibly
tap into it that way.
You could.
That would require me getting a lot closer
to the house, possibly inside the house.
It would. Correct.
I'm wrong, Aaron. That seems like it's a pretty
if you've got access to a junction box
you can.
Yeah, that thing's definitely not connected to the internet though.
Yeah, okay.
Yeah, so you'd have to be like
inside that inside the house
inside the house.
Well,
I could jump into a dog
and then go into the house
and then jump into the home.
How about one of you
cause a distraction on one
of the gates, the east gate
or something like that or the east
you know fence
and while all of these
pigment using
guys are a little distracted I can try to
get into the house and get to the security system.
I'm dead so I don't care if
I got an idea.
I got an idea.
So I have, because
it is my truck, I have
tools and stuff back there
I can
either go in and pretend to be a repair person
or
and I got lost and I'm thinking I'm supposed to be doing that here.
Sure, if you just want to distract them
cause they're not going to let you in for sure
but they will probably
talk to you and be distracted by you.
A couple things.
One,
we can't be seen going into the house
cause we can't let Orpheus get sued.
Duh.
Technically, I don't even know if Orpheus has acknowledged
that I worked for them but
I
was going to suggest as an
alternative
that I could just, what if
what if the puppies just got loose
what if you know
an enterprising old man
hopped into a gate and opened it
and
I like that idea too. Caleb, do you have
something to say?
Yeah, I just had a clarification question.
I'm sorry if this derails but
if they are on pigment they can see us
or if they have taken pigment
they can see us. On it.
They have to be
high and under the influence of pigment.
Yeah, I mean there's a lower chance
that they would be on pigment then
while working. For security guards then.
Yeah, that's true.
Still though. I think it's worth the risk.
I think
let's pop a gate open, let the dogs slip out
if we're lucky the guards chase after the dogs
at least a few of them
and that might make it a little easier.
Can
Lavinia make any kind of educated
guess as to where
especially with her experience the security
system would be located like where would she
have to go to find it
in a garage or
downstairs area?
So I would say based on your knowledge
and what you know especially with what Kate was
able to give you
based on their orifice's initial research
is that it sounds like with the panic
room being in the basement
him spending a lot of time in the basement
it is very likely that if there is like a
security control center
it's either in a separate building on the grounds
or it's in the basement.
Okay, then when I get
under the grounds I will look for
a separate building or I will
go to that secondary location you mentioned.
Okay.
Hey Mia.
Yes.
Do you have a gun?
Yes.
I'm just asking
in case things go south.
Well, here's the thing
I don't know if I like I packed it
because I know it's definitely back at my house
so
you'd probably carry it with you everywhere.
Okay, that's what I figured.
I have a couple
and
yeah, I have a couple.
I'm not saying use it
I'm just saying you know.
Darling, I'm already five steps ahead of you.
The only thing is though like
are you saying like do you want me to come
in or do you want to stay out or just like
No, I'm just saying
if like shit really hits the fan
don't shoot someone
if they're running away.
I'm going to leave you guys to it because
y'all are like
in ghost form.
I'm still breathing
but if that fucker comes out and I see him
well, we can't
we can't just murder him
in
show discretion, show discretion if possible
I can get out
Aaron
I can stall
I can stall if need be so therefore
someone can get involved in
hippity hopity into him.
Okay, well, I don't see any flaws in this plan
so let's just do it.
All right, so Lavinia is bringing a hard drive
that she can cut
so how do we make this the most useful
like I've got a jack into their security system
but there's got to be a way that we can
like check it whenever we want
is there a way that I can
have like that
You can bug it for sure
but if we have it's a question of
if we have access to the equipment
Sure, well let's just say that I bring
the necessary
you know like hard drive that
can communicate with my laptop
like via Wi-Fi or something
but don't
do you need me to go in physically
to know because it into the
I
I will need to manifest
but I can at least get through the gate
unmanifested
you can hand me the lab the
thing
will they see you on camera if you're manifested
fuck
you could
okay here how about this
I can't be I can't be
invisible and carrying
the thing Vince
am I not able to
physically touch something
but not be visible
Vince you're muted
darling
you're muted didn't hear any of it
yep you have to physically manifest it to manipulate it
so then how are there
like you were describing Abner carrying
a bunch of bean cans invisibly like
I was manifest he was manifested
but was he invisible
was he invisible or not no no he was
he was I was making a joke
oh I see got you got you
unfortunately yeah but
what I was gonna say is well
if there's security
cameras I could
maybe hop
well it depends on if they're like they're usually on
like a
gimbal thing yeah
so if I can like hop in there and just like
shift it around
and you know
we don't know what the coverage is gonna
you don't know what the coverage is gonna be there might not even
be cameras where the security box is
once you're that deep
in the property
yeah but like
is he gonna have cameras on him
everywhere in the house I don't think so
yes he's a drug dealer
he probably will
but again if there's enough of a distraction
I might be able to
I'm not very sneaky as well
I'm not very sneaky
I can have a flat tire if that helps
at this point
to escalate
pull out of the drive and begin
driving down the road
well that seems like it's good an opportunity
is any
go bring it
okay I'll go
okay I'm going to
Vince and I'm gonna
try and see if I can find
like the gate that houses the dogs
and see if I can get them loose off the property
okay got it
so
okay
you get to the gate controls
and let's look at the rules for
inhabit
I think because it's a relatively small object
you're not gonna have to worry about
any sort of crazy
expenditure let's do
let's do one vitality
because it's the equivalent of a computer
right it's gonna drive the gate
so you inhabit it and then you want to be able
to exert your will over it correct
yes all right so let's
do
this is gonna be a tough one let's do stamina
plus
um
do you have anything in security
nope
all right
do you have a plow about
computer
nope
make a straight-up stamina roll
this is gonna go well
all right
look with my two dice
one success
holy nuts
um you are able
to crack the gate
okay so I just want
to point something out too as
a hue I can use one of my
horrors
without a
the negative side effect
I think I want to use shifting identity
which is one of my stains
and I want to just look like
worst case like a homeless
person just like some
derelict
just somebody who
was just trying to creep their way through
towards
whatever I can find where the security system is
oh into the house
I think my first
goal is to see if I can find a security like
hut
and if I can't then I will go towards the house
all right go ahead
you and Abner both make
um
perception plus awareness
rules
3
awareness okay
I have one success
two successes
okay
you do notice that the cameras are set up
in regular intervals along the fence line
um the way the wrought iron fence is
set up you kind of have these
pillars at certain points these brick
pillars and the cameras are set up there
there's two at each interval
one facing left one facing right so there's
pretty much extensive
coverage of the entire fence line
um at what point do you manifest
uh Lavinia
probably once I
was actually through the gate
and
honestly I mean if I'm not manifested
uh then I will probably
remain invisible until
I can get to the security system for as long
as possible I'll remain
unmanifested okay yeah
um you notice that there still
seems to be
at least one guard
on the grounds you can see the dog
still patrolling because it's not like the gate
is not right next to the house there's still a
little bit of distance right um
and the guard the dogs don't seem to have
noticed at the fences that the gate is open yet
um but you do like
guard can I like rattle
it a little bit you know like
um we'll say
yeah you rattle it and then
uh another guard
exits the house and
begins walking down the drive
to the gate to to check it
um and these guards they're dressed in like these
black tactical pants uh black
polos they are armed
uh with what looks to be
um handguns
unless you know weapons you probably wouldn't know what kind
but um
this is this is literally the episode
from Sopranos where the FBI bugs
his house right
yeah right um
yeah you do me up but you can't see him from
where you're at yeah damn it okay
yeah
so wait hold on
point point of order if Levidia
is carrying something into the house
are you carrying
something
I think I would have to be
huh yeah your hard drive
whatever well would
be a hard drive whatever it is
yeah if we're gonna if we're gonna try to tap into it
then I'm gonna have to be so then yeah I think
uh I will be
trying to duck behind trees and
you know well you said it's a kill zone
there's nothing yeah well let me
ask you this so what is it you hope to do when you get inside
because that'll drive what kind of equipment
my intent my intention is simply
to hack into the
security system so that we can access
whenever we want
okay
got it okay so yeah you would need to
you would need to hard hardwire your laptop
right to it
um in order to like it set up a backdoor
so if I
we're gonna be hand-waving a lot of the
hackery shit sure of course
yeah uh if I
go in through the gate but then try to go
around the long way I don't I obviously
don't want to be seen by the security
guard that is currently walking
it's just impossible daytime
and it is it is wide open we might
need to wait till night but we're
kind of already in the middle of this um
we're
going how about this how about this
I remember in the episode of Sopranos
they first went to go find
a good spot so I will remain
un
manifested my entire
intention is to just look around
the house find out where the security system
is find out where the power is
like I want to try to find out the weak
points of this home unmanifested
now we're thinking yeah all right
yeah there we go
so proud of you buddy all right
so you've got the ring of the
fucking grounds you want to know why because you're invisible and you can walk through it
yes um so
because dad's get to it
you've got the main man's house right
and the house itself
is three
total you've got the basement got a
ground floor and you've got a second
story there is a four car garage
attack to the house
there is a pool and there's a pool house
but then there is also a
second structure kind of off
the main house
that seems to be kind of like an
armory slash
changeover area slash guard shack
for the guard force
um and that does seem to be where they
monitor most of the camera feeds
from so if I poke my head into that
guard shack there are clearly
monitors and is somebody like
they're looking at them and stuff yes
correct
all right is it one of the five
or is it someone we haven't
heard about before one of the five
thank you from what you can tell
you don't know how many left in that
last convoy but so far
you've seen one guard walking the grounds
one guard
um
going out to check the gate
and now one guard inside the shack
um
and then where's the breaker for the house
on the outside
it is on the outside
and
now the house itself if you check out the
do you check out the rest of the house yeah I'll probably take the time
okay so
with the house itself
um in the basement
you've got one full bedroom
it appears to be the master bedroom in the basement
uh one full bathroom
a study
and then off the main bedroom is the
panoram
and inside the panic room are
a slew of weapons
so the main
bedroom is actually in the bottom
basement correct
next to the panic room okay
yep
uh the first floor obviously
is like the kitchen the living room the game room
all the super swanky
rich rooms that people have
like the great room the second
living room I would assume
that the panic room would have
its own power wouldn't it
does okay and is that
like is the breaker for that
within the panic room
uh yes
or okay
yeah because the whole point of the panic room is to be
essentially self-sustaining and closed off
right um
the first floor
there are four bedrooms and two bathrooms on the first floor
and same on the second floor
okay
anything I'm not thinking of gang
I know where the power is
we know where
they're definitely monitoring
so getting in there would not be easy
mm-hmm
all right um I think
once I've looked through
the place
uh is anybody currently home besides the
guards
nothing you can tell except for a maid
there is a maid
and then the pool house there's nobody in the pool house
okay
where's the maid
is there like a service uh like
a servants entrance or something
where the staff goes in and out
yeah off the garage
off the garage
she could possibly be
an access point to
Sergio and all that
yeah okay I mean I think once I've done
the survey I'll just return to
the group and uh
once we're all together I'll share what I know
and honestly in my opinion
it's it's seeming less and less like it's
worth trying to stage anything
at this mansion they just they've got
tight security we're better
off targeting him when he's at the club
or somewhere where he's more vulnerable
mm-hmm but it was worth it
to find that out
get the truck
Anthony do you have anything or do you want to
reconvene or do you want to stay here
no I don't see
why we would stay here at this point
all right
we can do we have
that motel six room that we've
designated as the okay
we can go back to the motel yeah
yeah why don't why don't we go there and wait for
the others we can we can talk about how the
proceed here but let's see what they did up first
yes
uh nicole do you text or relay
any of that information to Mia
yes uh I want to
ask Mia about the federation
and then I do want to relay
that Homenshaw
is laundering money through
his dispensaries
okay
Mia as soon as she says the federation you know exactly who that is
especially being from New Mexico that is the
Sinaloa cartel
oh shit
oh shit all trends like that
okay
I'll just say oh shit
I'll even say you send a gift like that
like
yeah that is the Sinaloa cartel
also known as the Sinaloa federation
the federation the blood alliance
the guzman lorrea organization
yeah the most powerful drug cartel
max and probably in the world
okay I'm also just so you know I'm
going to reach out to my contact
in Texas I'm not going to say
everything at the moment but I will
be telling like heads up
I'm noticing some similar activity that
was in New Mexico is happening again
in Colorado so
are you trying to get them to
dig up information for you just give them a heads up
why not yeah I'm going to do I'm giving a heads up
and I'm like find anything of importance
please let me know
roll
charisma
plus
either your
because you're not really trying to manipulate them
this is somebody you know when you've worked with
I would say either
try empathy
or
you have
dots and detectives license right
I do
yes let's do that
okay
just a
charisma and detectives license
yep that'll be your pool
okay well it's seven so that's
hopefully that's pretty good
okay
I got it
okay
I have
three successes
and one crit success
beautiful okay
alright so
what they tell you is that
Shaw has definitely been on the radar of
the FBI and the DEA
at various points in time
this is a guy who they
suspect of being involved in
at a minimum
money laundering for some pretty bad
some pretty bad actors
but they also suspect
he's had his hands in drug trafficking
but they just can't get close to the guy he's
clean
he's very good at compartmentalization
and running a
heavily
compartmentalized operation
and so very rarely especially because of
who he's alleged to be in bed with very rarely
do like with typical RICO cases
you know racketeered influence and corrupt
organizations act
like organized crime investigations typically
it's like you bust
PON number one and they flip on PON number two
nobody flips on anybody
in this organization in this hierarchy
nobody's talking okay because they're
terrified they suspect is because
they're terrified of who
he works with
that's the
that's the
organization I ran into in New Mexico
I just want to clarify correct because that's what I'm assuming
yeah that's what I thought
and
with that the other thing
is the Aurora Security
Group is definitely not a
they've looked into that as well
because it looks like that was set up with Shaw's own money
and a lot of the guys who work
for them have either been dishonorably
discharged or discharged under other than
honorable conditions
and
they're POS
yeah they're not good they're not good folks
one in particular
the actual
the CEO on the books
Lorenzo Rivas
is
former army and they believe
has actually pulled hits for the cartel
got it
okay
a lot of this is
through
rumor intelligence
and through human sources
that either stopped cooperating
or
didn't show up to the next meeting if you know what I mean
yeah
I will
tell
a little just heads up be like
okay this
please be very careful these are not to be
fucked around I'm gonna be very emphasis on that
and I'll say we're at the hotel
we'll meet you at the motel six
fuck
okay
all right
cool oh if anyone's in the
truck with me you're gonna notice how I'm getting
very tense now probably
ripping I'm not in a good
space
there's definitely like audible
exclamations of fuck
I'm cursing for like
I'm not happy I'm very upset right now
and we'll say you all do eventually
reconvene at the motel
six this isn't a great room
there's two queen beds
and ostensibly a
pullout couch that
maybe provide some support
but other than that like
yeah we're not you ain't getting
held in points for this one so
I'm gonna take a towel and put it on the bed
like two towels and lay on that that's a good call
that's a good call I thought so
yeah
but what did you guys
turn up
anything
anything good
we haven't been yet
but uh
why did I think you've been
clubstone art
or at night
no early
there's no early sick
show
blue are you there
blue
a daytime music
venue
I think LaVenia fills everyone
in on what she saw in the mansion
and
kind of a bust
kind of a bust the only way
this would work is if we
basically if I
and Mia use our skin writing
ability to
control two of the guards that we think
are important because if I'm sitting
in the post house where
we see the monitors and I don't tell anybody
and I'm in that body
then we can all sneak
into the place without anyone saying
anything or sounding an alarm
but the problem
with that plan is that we would also
have to grab
any storage media
that those cameras are connected to
well that's easy I can do that
that's easy
unless it's
and there might be backup somewhere
we don't know about
there probably are backups
but or I turn the camera
so it's not facing the direction it needs to be
facing to see you
line spot would be quicker yeah
on all the ceiling make a loop
I could make a loop I could
just turn off the cameras
I mean it's literally just one
guard who's watching the cameras
is there a reason why
we have to kill him
inside of his home and not in a busy
place where nobody would notice
I'm just offering the only
way that would make sense unless
we wanted to somehow incriminate him
or make it look like one of his
buddies did it well
if we're gonna kill
him kill him
which I'm in favor of
seems like
his house is the best place
to do it because anywhere else
there could be casualties at a club
well we gotta think of casualties
of victims anyone nearby
so if you don't want civilians to get
hurt maybe the club's not the
best way but that's where we can get
our two bodies
that's where there's
there's another thing we haven't
considered and that's why we're after him in the
first place he stalks people
he goes after people he
chases people down
that's not something you do with the big
security detail because how else can you get off
he'd go in light
you don't only have a few people with him
just to be safe so that he could
do what he's setting out to do
so if anything
we could track down
Blair
not look into her because I know how
Kate was acting
what if we give him a new target
wait what if we got a new target though
like you said it perfectly he likes to stalk
that's what I was saying earlier
which one of you beddies is a 10
I mean we're all a collection of like 12
I know that but who
wants to go in there
I mean I can go
I don't feel comfortable
about that at all
I already have a reputation for
doing drugs and
people know me
people coming to town they know my
name
I mean I'd be an easy sell
this is not enthusiastic yes
no
we're not going down this road
hell no
you're going to be too nervous
I'm going to be too nervous
no
it's not that you can't do it
Colette I just don't see
why I don't see a reason why
we would do that right now
to Lauren so that he's alone
well yeah but
we're only going to the club for intel
now anyway if we decide
that we want to do it there
then sure we'll consider it
but
this is all about seeing him
let's also remember
let's also remember I just need to get close enough
to get in his body
and then I can just slice his throat with whatever
he has on him I mean that's fine
but I'm going to raise this again
we can't just kill him
without
because we have to make sure
that if he's going to die
we got to make sure it makes sense to whoever's investigating
after the fact
then I walk into the bathroom and slit my wrists
but why would he kill himself
we don't have any you know that's
it's called the pressure
there's a lot of pressure being a drug
I'm forgetting
the guy has pissed off quite a bit of people
making it look like an accident
or something he didn't do himself would be
easier
what if we didn't even have to kill him
what if he could make someone else do it for us
okay
he's got a lot of really powerful friends
that if he were to
fall out of favor with
or you could just jump into a lot of trouble
this seems like we're over complicating
thank you
I think we're
we haven't even gotten any intel about Sheth
we should
we need information first
which is the first time I've ever said that
in my life
alright so then what's the next move
we go to the club
we gather intel about Sheth
and potentially any enemies that he might have
and then decide what to do after that
can you guys look at the like dispensaries or whatever
yes I was thinking the same thing
and then like
we'll have two ends of information
I don't like being responsible these sucks
check at least one of those out
I think I need to
I think I need to do what Abernathy is doing
and just go on ice really quick
so
is there anything you guys need from me in my physicality
just to flex those biceps
oh Mia does that
she'll take off whatever jack she has
put her on
boom
and then the abshot thing of lifting it up
and go uh is that good enough
got plenty of material
thank you
oh god
right click save as
save as
for your eyes almost
alright so
can I go ice
hi night
hi night I'm gonna head out
awesome
yeah you are able to get on ice
no problem we'll just say that it takes a few hours
but you're gonna be able to reconvene with the group
exactly yeah I left the group
in the motel and I'll meet them back up
so you guys hit that nightclub
see what you can find out
and
I guess we'll check out the dispensary
angle
okay
so what's that let's start
with um let's start with the dispensary
let's do that
um so you're able to find
a um
medical dispensary
in Denver proper
um and that belongs to
to Shaw
uh what's the game plan
well we could we could either just go
in there or we send someone in
to try to make a buy
that would it be that
that would it be me
I mean there's a lot of older folks
who need medical care so
I'm actually struggling
to decide whether Lavinia would be here
or at the club
um because if she's
with you at the dispensary then it's just about
like computers
trying to
either do research
or I just feel like I'm
more useful at the club because I could
attempt to get into one of the bodies of one of the guards
but then what would I do
is there potentially like information
in the back at the dispensaries
that you could get
there's like a computer
that like has everyone's
ID and stuff on it but like
we're not looking for patrons
yeah I think step one
is
either like Abner
I'll go in or
Nikoa or Miyakan whoever
I think if someone can just walk
back in there unmanifested and see
oh hey
there's a bunch of pigment out on this counter
the pigment counter
you're a ghost you could do it
no I'll just go do it
okay
lots of weed
there's no like back room
or anything for like the VIP
customers
roll
dispensaries
roll
intelligence plus
you've got law right
I have a point in law yeah
roll intelligence plus either investigation
or law
dispensaries are more like dip and dots
stands than
shady places of business
it's half candy
well
a six is a success yes
then one success
okay
you don't know much about the dispensary
business but you do know that
you know enough especially having
you know read various stories
in Colorado news about the legalization
of marijuana that there is a dispensary
and then there are also separate
locations where it is either grown
harvested packaged stored
and then also where the money is stored
so like sometimes
for the most part like it's literally people
renting warehouses and they're keeping pallets
of fucking cash like that's literally
how they do in Colorado sometimes
so
the dispensary may not be
the place it may be a matter of finding
out what other properties may be registered
in the company's name interesting
so can I just like hang out
in the dispensary for a while and see
if anyone
comes in yeah absolutely for that
sort of thing yep
stake the
situation out yeah
I mean I guess Lavinia could take the time
to try to see those connections
at least see what the paperwork
looks like online
of you know what what what are the
money houses
and the other connections
with this dispensary that's probably public
information through the state huh
might be that at least in California
that stuff's public
yeah role intelligence plus
investigation
okay
intelligence
and investigation
where are you there we go
okay
one success
okay
so you do find
a couple of
addresses for
well
you don't find specifically addresses
but you find the name of the overall
LLC that the dispensary
operates under yeah
so you're able to find that piece
of information
but for you
you stay for a while and
it's pretty typical
pretty average commerce
under the table
and with your background
in law
and investigation in general you would know
he doesn't want to be caught dealing other
substances on the grounds of his dispensary
so we shut the whole operation down
hmm
right
so wherever that's happening it's not
okay it's not in the brick and mortar store
right
okay
well maybe we want to go
oh god no no no
maybe if uh Lavinia turns up
other locations
I mean we know that verdant trust
is the LLC that's the problem
is we have to
that's all I'm really able to find at the moment
got it
what's the uh what's the rest of the crew doing during this
time
that would be me and
Nakoa right
I think I'm going to the club
yeah Nakoa's coming with us
Mia is there any way you could get
an address
from the name of an LLC
I was thinking that I wanted to do it
but I didn't know if it was like
too much
and I didn't know if I need to be in physical form
or if I needed to pull that off and like
go for it
no you can just manifest and access a computer
she's thinking
like like are you talking like
are you talking accessing somebody else's computer
or are you talking like just googling something
like what are we thinking
oh because I was
because I heard Aaron talk about the dress
I thought we were talking about like Tiffany again
or something
address
address
physical address
address
not this time
not going full 84
okay I was wondering like this isn't making sense
okay so what about the address
now like address okay
what was the address
I was just wondering if you had any like
tricks for getting
for working back doing a dress from the name
of a company as well
I can ask around
I can reach out
and I have my license
and I'm going to go ahead and see what I can pull up
burning trust see what
see what falls under that
go for it roll
roll yeah intelligence plus
either investigation or detective license
to figure out how to use some of your contacts to do that
I'm going to have
detective license
so he is
six
oh
oh
I have
one crit
success
and then crit three crit fails
oh
okay I have two
negative two
so I think I have negative two
we'll have to go back over the crit
the crit rules
excuse me
double check here
because that would be pretty bad
I don't know if that's how it works
maybe it's
maybe it's there's a ghost
issue with me being cold
that's
okay no so every if you roll a one
it's just a failure
but that cancels out a single success right
okay so
that cancels out that and I had the other two were just like
fours
so no success on this one
yeah
no success on this one
should you forget information
yeah you actually
I don't know I kind of feel like we've hit a wall until
we've seen a little bit of this
club action
maybe I'm angry I'm not seeing it
yes I'm frustrated
I will say some of your contacts
they'll get back to you we'll see what they can take out
that's what I got dear yeah
I got left on red
what time of night is it
deal thing
are you doing this towards the end of the day
or
yeah we want to go
when it's popping
not before 10
this is Friday
we're gonna go to the club on Friday night
so we skip ahead got it
I will say that oh go ahead
Vince I want to make
some social media posts about
me going to the club before we go
okay make it very clear
on whatever accounts I have
that that's what I'm doing today
I'll even send a text message to my old assistant
and see if she can get the word out
that that's where I'm gonna be
okay
you do field some phone calls from your dad
okay
ask it if you're okay
yeah I'd shoo him away
in fact I don't even take the call
fucking got it okay
cool okay
I will say
that night
as you all are kind of getting ready
the
the radio in the car
suddenly comes to life
it's static
and you hear
it's tough to make out all the words
but you hear
radio free death
Revis
not what he seems
careful
Revis
Revis
spelled R-E-V-I-S
R-I-V-A-S
isn't that the name of the CEO guy
yeah yeah
which CEO
Lorenzo
um oh
or a security group
Lorenzo Revis the guy who's on paper
is the CEO
who's the CEO of the security
that follows Shah
yeah yeah
basically hire
discharge
POS's security guards
so he hires like criminals and all kinds of shit
just FYI so
maybe he's the cartel contact
maybe
probably
probably that or he's something more
that we're not aware of supernaturally wise
so
this is all on the phone while we're on the car
oh yeah oh yeah
yeah we're all just gonna be really cool about the fact that the radio told us a clue
mm-hmm yeah I don't love that
yep
well has this not happened to you before
nope
they don't talk to me directly I mean it's just kind of
knowledgeable creepy
radio station
must not be ghosting hard enough
this guy has to be
like following us or something
he knows intimate things about us
is it Chad?
it happened before
we don't know that
you don't know about Chad
oh we don't know about Chad sorry
I mean I didn't say that
he would have gotten real awkward in the car
and he said that
what did you just say?
so Revis is
the CEO
so it's Radio Freedeth
is that like a DJ or is that what it's called?
I'm still trying to figure out myself
what exactly is happening but
I'm assuming it's a specter that is
somehow able to
communicate through the airwaves
because really only the dead
can hear it
we're the ones choosing to follow us
yeah
he's mentioned this before
and Abner spoke through the radio before
so maybe they're close
I don't think it's that
kind of a thing this time
that'd be weird though
because that would mean that someone physically
like walked up to the car and got in your radio
if someone's in my car
get the fuck out
well that'll do it, that'll get them
and I think that is a
there's a great place to call it for now
and while I
you're on your way to the club
we'll pick it back up
we're really trying to delay the inevitable
that's fun everybody take
three experience points for this session
I'll add it to the tracker
and of course Sergio
you have the one extra from your recap
beautifully done
with that everyone thank you so much for joining us
excited to see where this one goes
a little bit darker but
the fun is still here
so join us again
in a week after next so the 22nd
same place, same time, same channel
as we continue this one
so thanks again
and see you around
