The COA, Cah-Uhane Field-Bog, number 396. Current location, Massachusetts, residential home of Virgil and Poet Lincoln status in progress. Fiving members of the organization, formerly known as Orpheus, continuing under the name Crucible-12, have made their way to Boston through several research points and an unfortunate informant. We rallied the name Virgil, his next of kin, Poet, and an address to their home in West Baltimore. Virgil had an answer that could clear the names of the living members, knowledge about a man named Duroff and his place amongst this mess. After a lengthy discussion on how to proceed, we went with the knock on the door method, consisting of Livinia Viv and myself,

with a skin-logant attempting to find an alternative entrance. Mia and Collette are on standby in case things escalate. The home was outfitted with level of security, fortitude, and organization, whatever was on the inside was preparing for a fight. Upon contact, we discovered Virgil and his team holding out waiting for the inevitable. These men picked aside, and that side was again stir-off who in his greed staged a coup d'état on next-world. Success brought the violence that took the lives of many at Orpheus. Note, Duraav is a player in the game but not the head of the snake. Perhaps this bishop is, look more into it. Virgil agreed to give us a statement that we can use as evidence. In exchange, we must help him survive the next few moments. Not long after our arrival, next world had finally come to settle things.

I hope that there was enough time to exchange the possibility of its outcome. Personal notes. I wish I could see a better future at this current point, but I cannot find one at and I don't have the means to tell them that they'll have to hang on a bit more. I only hope that I can lead through, lead them through it enough because I believe in them. My two two ones told me that everyone paddles the canoe together, bales and paddles, paddles and bales and the shore will be reached. Beautiful, amazing. And with that, when we last left off, the next world mercenaries were storming the home of poet and Virgil Lincoln. There was some confusion on my part on how numbers work. So I'm gonna try this again There are 12 of them total Four teams of three because four times three equals 12 So that's how that works. Yeah Incredible math. Thank you so much. Of course. So two teams are going to the front and two teams are going to the front, and two teams are going to the back.

Now, Logan, with you keeping an eye out, with your dead eyes ability, you recognize that at least the two teams that you've seen so far, or at least you've seen all four because you saw two split off to go around the back. There was one projecting to living per team. So at least one per fire team who ostensibly can use horrors. Yes. Is... how do I phrase this? With dead, am I able to see if anyone is like,

it's not possessing, it's skin writing. Skin writing. If anyone's like skin writing any of the meat sacks. Not typically. So with the dead eyes ability, they would have to either make themselves known through some other way or actually vacate that body. But you don't after kind of taking a moment, what's your wits at?

Two, I'll give it to you. Judging by the way these men are moving and dressed, they're all civilian clothes, but they're all also wearing body armor, carrying rifles in the way they move. They don't need to be skin-rid. These are people who know what they're doing. Which is scary because now they are descending upon that home and you in there. So we're not in an initiative yet but these, everybody, this is going to be a kind of a free turn

for everybody to figure out what they want to do and get ready for this assault because I do believe you've called down to everyone. Yep. Okay. What's the plan? Yeah. Media reaction is to assume that they'll be on us pretty quickly. So I think Levinia will take a position close to probably one of the most likely entrances. It seems like maybe I think she will go to like whatever window she suspects they might come out of. Okay.

Is it? Yeah, you, oh, go ahead, Collette. Is it worth it for me and Poet to make a run for the car and get out of here before the bullet starts applied? Do we think we could manage that before they see us? Because I'm pretty stealthy, I don't know know about poet, but if we can make a run Dive in the car and then peel out then you all can handle the whole mass murder Couldn't you storm wind to the car I could but my body when it come with me God ghost God told me I can't do that in corporeal point.

Um, also the, the team that we're with, um, you said two of them are sleepers, correct? Correct. And they're going to drop bodies out here. They, as you, as you kind of look around and take stock of what's happening, you notice that they're taking bumps of pigment. And oh, okay. Nine-night. Yeah. First transmission, baby.

Just wild to think that we're all talking and three people just suddenly start doing heroin a couple of feet away. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Everybody get ready. She's going to get. Like she's going to get stunned looking at that. Like, oh, shit.

Yep. This is what they want you to do. Yeah. I know. I'm very aware for you. I've been to parties like this. For you, Collette, looking around. So the and as well for you to live in here, the two main ways in it out are gonna be a back door that leads out from the kitchen to the back porch. And then, of course, the front door that you all came in. There are side windows, but with what Logan has told you,

you assume that they can probably have every corner covered, it's gonna be tough to get out of there. Yeah, I think Livinia would leave the front door available so she's not going to block it. I think she might go to the back door and with her strength like I don't know I almost want to like climb up into the corner of the wall or something in the ceiling but I don't know if I can do that. Oh fuck you, Livinia! You hulk out so much you are the wall or something in the ceiling, but I don't know if I can do that. Like, hold on to the middle of the wall. You Hulk out so much you are the wall.

I don't have that much to say, I've got stamina and I've got strength. So, yeah. But it means in that regard, if it seems really hard to get out of this place, is there any way I could do like a vibe check to see if it would be even a worth the try to the car Sure, yeah, you know what sort of knowledge. It's going to be really hard because you're gonna have to run past at least two teams that you could count. And that's at least four guns pointed at you and poet. So is it possible then for you all to cause a distraction in the front as soon as that pops off, I'll run poet into that car. I'll take a drive. We're just, yeah.

That was kind of my intention, but aren't we just gonna be blocking, clogging the exit with like a bunch of bodies? And yeah, I mean, I mean, the other option is that I hide or you have me pick up a gun. Unless you can hold for me to whale the front door, like free enough for you guys to make a break for it.

Okay. Or I can do that. And I can pop into my body and ask them from behind. If we wanted to. Can you get baby one before I turn around? Yeah, that's the thing. Is it the car? That's where we go, but I don't know if you can.

We have some one halted out we're fine. I mean I mean that's an option to is vinges hulks through the front door And draw- I don't know if I'm that Hulk, but I think I'm good for soaking damage and I'm good for drawing attention. It seems like based on the sudden change of pressure in the room and the shower of wood and plaster is some kind of breaching charge, blows that door inward and off its hinges, and like water, these men flow into the room, six of them total, led by the projectors. The back door, another explosion, as another breaching charge is that's detonated and the next six flow in with that collette your first up. What do you do? I sing. Yeah. Can I look at you?

The safest place to drop my body? Absolutely. Make, go ahead and make a perception or wits plus alertness. Okay. Four successes. Okay. You could probably duck into a nearby closet or a little half bath. Okay, so I'm going to do that. Get as low as I possibly can, you know, whatever, and then drop immediately. Yeah, having been in some pretty sketchy situations before you, you be lying for that half bath before bullet start flying and you immediately

drop into the tub and get fetal and, and you zero out. Okay. Now when ghost, that doesn't kill my turn, does it? You can take another action. Yeah. Okay. I'm gonna zip into the front room manifest, and then go immediately into unearthly repose. Excellent. Collette, you know, sifts through the wall, becomes corporeal, real, and then eliminates entirely from being a human being, coalescing into this beautiful blue cyan light that then

combines and then dances into these like million different fireflies that then build the room blindingly. And I'm going to spend five vitality. Oh damn, okay, that going. Well, Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,

yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. It means the victim continues following the whisp to exclusion of all other concerns, including personal safety. If stopped, she fights to free herself to follow the light.

Even if she cannot see the light, she walks in its general direction until the whips chooses to terminate the effect. Okay. So it's a difficulty eight not to follow me. Okay. And I'll just stand, sort of in Levinia's,

Definitely not. Okay. That is your turn. LaVinia. What do you do? Lavinia is going to totally be in line with this plan and come from, like, through these lights and stuff, and just surgically. She has no skill whatsoever in brawl or anything like that. She just has a lead pipe for an arm and just starts smashing down on these guys, trying

to break collarbones and skulls and kneecaps. She has the exteriority of two. So she has two turns or one, yeah, two turns total or two actions total. Okay, so I think I think honestly just two attacks against these guys. Okay, go ahead and so you're gonna do Strength Plus Brawl. Yes, my strength set of five, so I'm rolling five dice. I have nothing in Brawl.

Okay. And five is a success? Anything five and above, yep. That's four successes. Beautiful. Okay, yeah, you definitely land that first series of blows on the first guy through the door. Go and your strength is five, you said? Yes. Yeah, he does. You do five damage and in fact, the first one you get your hands on, it looks to be one of the projectors and you you see their gods start to rend as you just pummel the living shit out of this projector. And it's almost like entire chunks of cotton

are just flying off of this thing. Go ahead and make your second. Lavinia is not a big person. She has not like hulked out in the sense. She's still exactly the same small frame. So her little arms are just like slicing and dicing these people. That love that. That's three successes.

We're gonna go yeah go ahead and with that five you hit the you hit the one behind them. This one living and you can kind of feel a different sort of resistance as you bring it down onto flesh and muscle and bone and something breaks something and in their collarbone just completely fucking pulverizes. And they scream and pain and they actually let loose a burst of gunfire into you but it just kind of goes through your form. And yeah, you did some damage there, so that's good. He did some damage there, so that's good. Yeah, that's awesome. Friendly's are up next.

So we've got a bunch of guys so bear with me. Poet Linkin has one of these AK-47s with him and he just opens up spraying on these guys as they come through the door. So with that, I'm gonna go ahead and roll for him as Dex Plus Firearms. So we're gonna do, yep. Yep, he gets three successes

and with that damage, he does. Oh, pretty good, seven. Yeah, that one guy you hit, his fucking head evaporates in a shower of bone and brain and blood. One guy you hit, his fucking head evaporates in a shower of bone and brain and blood. As one of the bulls just right above that left eye and just takes off the top of the scalp. And he drops like a marionette with its fucking strings cut.

Next up, and then he with that was the first first one and I think he did it on burst fire. The other one gets catch as a bullet but he's still standing. So that's Poet. Next up he's got Paul who is a haunt her. What is he gonna do? He can go to the house and then grow legs and walk away. Oh yeah no he's gonna do some witches and imbist action. Yeah, he's gonna let loose a charge of witches and imbist, which I'm going to refresh myself on how that works. So he's gonna spend about, yeah, he's gonna spend four vitality, he's gonna hurl that shit and he does lethal damage

to one of the team manifests and deals lethal damage to one of the shooters in front of them. And they almost like catch fire with this like crackling blue and purple light that he just lets loose. Next we've got Virgil who is a skin rider. He doesn't have much in the way of abilities other than trying to possess what you know from experience doesn't tend to work well with other projectors, but he does have juggernaut. So he's going to take a swing kind of like Fallet, Levineas lead, and start taking swings. He actually goes to the back, because right now, looks like everybody's focusing on the front. He turns and makes his way back into the kitchen to start taking shots at guys, and he does... Yeah, he fucking hell, yeah, he crushes one of the projectors and just you see that gauze go flying back there but not enough to take him out but it's enough to

leave a dent for sure. Next up we've got man. Another poltergeist so with poltergeist we've got congeal okay, yep Vivo's this shit he One of the projector one of the poltergeists one of the sleepers turns both hands into these these bladed jagged frickin just Absolute instruments of death and starts slicing and icing So let's see what he does absolute instruments of death and starts slicing and dicing. So let's see what he does.

He does plus melee for this guy. Oh, that's a critical success. All right. Yeah. And we let these guys do the work for us. Honestly, can we have like a moral combat fatality, right? Like a finishing. Um, one of them, one of the ones who previously caught and grazed by one of the rounds from, uh, poet, you catch is one of those blades across the windpipe. And there's just a shower of blood, uh, as they drop the hands clunching at, at their now rendered neck. Um, and there's just the shower of blood as they drop. Yeah. Yeah. It's so cool. Yeah. And last but most certainly not least, we have Steve Hill, one of the other poltergeists kind of swing around to back up Virgil in the back also this time one of his appendages turning into this giant fuck off hammer

And he actually he does miss he misses on this one no successes on that turn But that's it for the friendly so we've've got two down, two in the front, which leaves you with four remaining, four still standing, including two. Okay, Jack, I'm sorry. Mia, I believe you wanted to disseminate some PPUs. Yeah. Well, yes, as right now, I think everyone is in spooky form

that's, or heading that way. It's just better if I believe there was, you said there was like a couch, like I take cover. Also, they had some really good guns nearby. Are they since two of them dropped? It looks like they're not using them. I'll say the team or the defective mercenaries that had taken shelter inside this home. They had a Whitney of firearms with them. You're able to quickly grab yourself a shotgun. That's what I wanted.

Yep, perfect. Okay. Yeah. So I'm going to probably hold up in the front area for right now. Okay. Who is the closest one in near-me-fime by the couch, like using that as cover?

These are pretty tight confines, so you're gonna be able to nail at least one of the living ones, for sure. Good, I would really like to. Okay. Take really in the upper region. Love it. Go ahead and roll your Dex plus firearms. Okay. It's close to the eyeballs is possible right?

You see some of the gauze go flying off this one projector in the front that Virgil has been hammering on. And even a few behind him staggered and you've inflicted, you said three successes?

That three successes? Three levels of lethal damage to all of them. So as a reminder, anytime you sustain lethal damage as a ghost, you essentially lose twice the number of vitality. So, yeah, he's fucked up real bad, but that was good. It's a good role. Yeah. Yeah, you all listen.

You thought the shotgun blast was loud, and then COA gets to a ribbon. And that shriek just rougher. Is that what it is? Is it a shriek? Are you shrieking at this point? Yeah, it's just a giant like yellow straight through like an almost like an impact shot. I think it's gonna rattle the wood and everything around with their general area. Yes. Yeah. The glass and the window panes is shaken. At least a little bit if you can see behind the sandbags, the

walls, yeah, this is good stuff. Viv, what's your doing? My hand is a nail gun, a pneumatic nail gun, and that's number one. This is the action we came here for, yes. I am going to spend four vitality. The nail gun is flavor. It's mechanically sort of a shotgun, which means plus five,

bashing plus four lethal, and I get a three shot burst. So I got a bit going to do aim her hand and then hit that little clip because you can't, it's a, it's a safety nail gun. You have to hit a little clip first. It doesn't want you shooting to the air. Okay, okay. And then fires three times into, if there's any baddies in the opposite direction of the whale that just occurred. Okay, see, towards the front yeah you still got four standing. Yeah. I will aim, I mean we'll do one in each huh and then one just sort of free one. Cool. Yeah whoever wants a little extra. Okay whoever

looks the sweetest out I won't shoot. I'll shoot everybody else. Spoiler none of them. Okay. none of them. Okay. We close this then. Yeah, there we go. Um, that, oh, it's not any sweeties in the house. Any sweeties? One, two, three, six, six, six, six. All right. If you, what is a crit? Is that all of them? It's a, no, a crit is a 10. Okay. So, I've rolled a six. Get for damage on just on one die. Yeah, right? No, you have a four vitality large objects right full heavy revolver shotgun wore hammer, etc damage dice pull My god, okay, then I'll keep that six while I add All right Five successes six Six successes. One critical.

Yeah. One of the projectors just fucking drops or just dissipates completely as one of those ghostly Ectoplasmic nails just rips through what's left of his gauze. It's in fact the one that Livini has been hammering on and just Frickin takes him out. He screams in that that scream just kind of Fades off as their ghost just floats away like God just like smoke on the wind and Then next you've got a couple of living dudes they take rounds like one in the shoulder shoulder, one in the leg, they're screaming, they're not looking right, they're fucked up.

And they kind of, it looks like they're looking to see one hit them, but of course it's your gauze. And they don't see it, they're in human form or in their meat sack still. So yeah, that's a good run. Oh, and last but most certainly not least, we've got Logan. Okay, so we've got three at the front, five at the back. Yes. Okay. There's enough firepower at the front. I'm gonna, I'm gonna loop around to the back. And I think I'm also going to do a quail. Ooh, excellent. I have to look at it for a quick second because I'm usually just human shields. No problem.

Oh, a human battery, yup. Yeah, I'm either a battery or I'm trying to punch people. I'll do a four vitality whale. Love it. Um, I have to burn a willpower to get enough. Okay. So good to know. I'm down to four willpower.

So you're only gonna have two vitality currently? I had two vitality. Okay. And then I actually only have one vitality right now, because I had put some in COA and VIN, and then the role is, I haven't wailed in so long manipulation of empathy. Okay.
