Oh fuck. Uh, we were, we were, we were giving feelings out. Um, before we kind of dive back in the gameplay, of course, one of our staples here at Mayday is the beloved player recap. So Zakiya, if you would be so kind as to remind us what happened a while ago on Orpheus. Oh, yeah, okay. Here we go. taking one for the TV, I appreciate it. Oh, okay. So it has been a while and I know that it's not possible for you to get any of these recordings, but the only thing keeping me together right now is imagining the two of us on our couch with our wine glasses and

I'm just going to tell you about my day. I'm going to assume you know about Orpheus ghost company that I work for because I'm dead now and my team, Crucible 12, a bunch of endearing fuck-ups from all over the spectrum of life are trying to clear our name after an attempt to wipe us out by a company called Next World. Don't worry about it. I'm also going to assume that you know we're on the run from Baltimore by way of Colorado. Now to Chicago, don't worry about that yet either.

And we all, I guess all, although me in particular, have an evil manifestation of all of our rage and spite. Just out here. And I've met mine personally. Again, don't worry about it. Chicago. So we're going to investigate a gang for lack of a better word called the Blasphemers. They're the key to fleshing out project flatline mystery project. We've been chasing for a long time. Having to deal with projectors. Again, I'm gonna assume you know what that means. Based on what we've

heard so far, they don't really have any reason to trust us despite our efforts to clear our own name. Nikoa did look into the future and bring back a couple of faces Kalek was able to sketch so we're not going in completely blind. That's handy. And radio-free death, a disembodied voice probably connected to a consciousness that lives in all of our car radios, has been helping us along the way. They also gave us two names to watch out for. Mateo Cruz, a murderer from about 20 years ago, and Jeffrey Rose, nicknamed the Magnolia Killer, which is kind of nice. Not the murder, the name. It's just, I know you like McMolly is. I know I shouldn't be looking forward to meeting

them, but the part of our work that I'm really good at now, it kind of makes me excited. I just, I got some creative things I want to try and they might be the ones to try it out on. Oh shit, Kate. Kate is our sort of manager, supervisor, mom, and we thought that she was fucking dead, but she survived, which is great. She started another organization called Lazarus because you know the Bible. I'm not going to spoil it for you, but it's good. Way to go, okay. Add long live Lazarus and RIP Orpheus. And more importantly, RIPR benefits.

Don't worry about that either. As for the team, we spent what felt like our 10th Sunday dinner in a hospital cafeteria. And I'm starting to feel bad for those of us that have to eat. There was an all-out brawl at the house in Baltimore of Virgil and Poets hide out all of the meat bags, but especially Logan and Mia were left in pretty bad shape. They're kind of better now. We got to just sort of sit and watch them for a bit, which was nice because we don't really spend time together. It's fun to bully Mia about her majesty. Her majesty, the T.O.R., we'll get to that later, but it's fun. And early relationship behavior, like misusing text dollars for a booty call is just as a normal thing. I also, I don't think we're supposed to know what's going on with Logan, but I think I saw

them just laying out in the field at the bot to a state. I think they were crying. Again, I'm gonna keep my mouth shut. But whatever they're doing isn't pining because that's Levinia and Collette trying to sort of outperform and outcare for each other. So that's also separate. Nikola continues to get the fuck about everyone even though nobody acts them. And me, I'm fine. Completely fine. You know, one of my, my only actual ghost mentor was corrupted beyond reason, completely my fault. I don't really know why I'm still here. That's great. And this is the longest and the farthest I've been away from you and our apartment and and and I don't like the beach actually. It's Mama Mia made it seem really cool and it's actually just very sad and dark and wet and I'm trying not to read too much into that

as a metaphor for my life now as a metaphor for my life now. Thanks to a helpful confession on me as phone, the FBI is now off our backs, and we can focus on the blasphemers in Chicago again. So one down and maybe three or four left to go. Once we figure this out, I'd like to come home. Where is there a way that the names we've got? Can we look up a little bit more on their like their death record? Like to like their autopsy reports or anything to get it like a little indication about them? Oh, that's not a bad idea. Yeah, absolutely. You could try to put works of your connections. I know that the cops are famous for writing down allergies and weaknesses on the roughness of it. Why are you hoping if there are any thorough, which is unlikely, but if there's any thorough documentation, like someone in the grounds of Captain Holt, who put that level of detail, where? RIP, Andrew Brown. Okay. So we'll start with Mateo Cruz. So with two successes, it's tough to kind of sort the signal from the chaff and everything like that. But what you're able to find is Mateo Cruz was a lifelong banger with Aladdin Kings. He was also a little bit of a radical in that he was

very much about overthrowing the United States government and merging California, Oregon, Arizona, New Mexico and Southern Nevada into Aslan for the nation for the Hispanics by the Hispanics. So definitely not quite a terrorist, but he was a ideologically motivated banger. And for from what you can tell, he was incarcerated because a lot of his crimes went federal at the United States Penitentiary in Tarahoe, Indiana. He was on death row and from what you can tell, he died in prison.

Of natural causes. That a lot of detail. That's weird. I... Tarahoe, Indiana, the institution there, actually. It was a federal prison. Did it? Would it actually have who his cellmates

or anything at the prison? So he was on... He was on... Death row. Death row. Yeah, that's the only federal penitentiary with death row the whole time. So he was on his own.

As well as Jeffrey Rose, funnily enough, Jeffrey Rose was also USP tear out. And Jeffrey Rose, there's a lot more information on because of the high profile of the crimes that he committed. He was a serial killer. The Magnolia killer, he tried to plead, not guilty for reasons of insanity, claimed the defense claim he suffered from dissociative identity disorder with as many as nine different personalities potentially at any one time. However, that defense did not was found on the old water and he was also sentenced to death at USP Terrode, also died in prison.

No further information on causes or now. Does that feel weird to anyone else? Like usually if someone dies in prison, it's because they get like shanked in the prison yard or or or they get sick and no one takes care of it. Or not to part. They weren't old enough for that, were they? Oh, let's see. So Rose, at the time he died, was probably in his 30s. Mateo Cruz was about 50 to 55. Okay, that's, that seems like something sketchy happened and then the cops were like, we'll just say we died. Yeah, because you think that they would have to have some sort of a reason for it happening. You can't just list cause of death prison.

If they've returned to spirits, they probably did it on purpose. Off the surface. There's something, or they died something violent enough to tether them here. Something strong enough to make them project more than just a blip. We have to assume they died with purpose because they've been very busy and very active since their deaths. They're running this organization. What is, and I'm so sorry every oh guys does anyone the magnolik killer did he had a certain M.O. I That's wearing a blank to me. Oh, yeah

Once I heard their sarcasm I was immediately like. Was there a noticeable M.O. for? That's what made it difficult to catch him as M.O. was all over the place. There were different victim profiles, there were different methods of murder. They ran the gamut from shootings, to surrogulation, to stabbings.

Pretty much every mechanism you could think of to take another human life was used. And none of his victims fit a specific profile. Hey, Clayman DID and being all over the place, I mean, if he's got that many altars, there's something there. But it could also be a situation where it's a lot more orifice than it is anything else. What's the chance that this guy's got like nine ghosts up in them? Well, I couldn't dice out of it. That's not a terrible theory to keep in mind. Well, I couldn't taste one of them.
