Hey everybody, it's Alden here.
Hey, it's Seth.
And we have a very exciting announcement just in time for, if you're American and if you
celebrate such things, Thanksgiving.
That's right.
I'm going to keep this real quick because I have several sauces, some potatoes, I've
got a couple birds and some prime rib in the oven.
Yeah.
We're just knocking this out in time.
And you probably can't hear me, but I'm running really fast after a turkey.
I'm just in such good shape that I don't have to huff and puff.
Seth is like Mr. Bean.
He has a turkey stuck on his head.
Oh, that's where it is.
Okay.
That makes so much sense.
I thought it was nighttime.
We have a very exciting announcement for you.
After a nearly interminable wait, the Mission to Zik's vinyl soundtrack pressing is done.
It is in hand.
It is here.
It is at Topatiko's headquarters in Massachusetts, ready to be sent out to you.
I literally don't believe you.
I know.
It's like a crazy load off my mind.
I'm so excited about it.
There are, however, two things we need to do before we send these out to you. Number one, get this turkey off my head. The first is that some of
the records need to be signed by the cast. That's true. So we are actually flying Jeremy and Mujan
out to New York because it's actually cheaper and safer for us to fly them out and sign them here in
person in New York than it is to mail hundreds of records across the country.
So that's three things, actually.
What?
That's actually three things.
Then fly Jeremy and Mujan out, sign all the records,
and then the third thing.
Sure.
It's four things if you count Mujan and Jeremy's tickets
as two separate things.
As two things.
Wait, buying Sharpies?
Buying Sharpies.
Sure, sure.
All right, Seth. with all of that done
yes which is happening next week there is only one thing left to do and that is to celebrate the
release of the record with all of you we are going to have a record release party here in brooklyn
new york at eavesdrop which is an amazing uh listening bar designed by Danny Keith Taylor, who you may
recognize from the credits of Zix as someone who did orchestra mixing. That is right. He has helped
design the acoustics and the speaker setup for an amazing Tokyo-inspired listening bar. And we have
rented out the entire space for us and for you to come join us and be
the first people in the world to listen to this record the date is december 3rd sunday december
3rd from 3 to 5 p.m now i know what you're thinking perfect timing 3 to 5 p.m on a sunday
is the coolest time to listen to a record and and I agree, and I won't say anything else about
it. Tickets are available on our website. That is mission26.space. If you ordered a record and
you're coming to the release party, let us know when you buy your ticket. There's a little form
you can fill in. You can give us your order number, and we will have your record ready to go
to hand off in person. If you have not ordered a record and you want one, fill that in. We will
bring one for you to hand off at the event, and if you cannot attend the event, you have not ordered a record and you want one, fill that in. We will bring one for you to hand off at the event.
And if you cannot attend the event, you have not ordered a record, you are interested in getting one.
Fear not, there will be a few that will be going up on Topatico in the next few weeks.
But maybe to a higher proportion of people hearing this, if you ordered and are not coming to the party, it will be sent to you soon.
Yes, that's actually probably the most important thing yeah also just to cover all our bases if you did not
order if you are not coming to the event if you are not interested in getting a record no action
is required on your part yeah if this is your first episode of mission to zix you've ever heard
please rate and review it helps us find new listeners to post show
promo.
So we hope to see you there Sunday,
December 3rd, 3 to 5pm
at Eavesdrop in Greenpoint,
Brooklyn. You can get tickets at our website.
We'll also link to them in the show notes
of this exciting
episode of the show.
It's going to be a great time. Bren and Ryan will be there,
which is a real treat.
Yeah.
And thanks for tuning in
to our long dormant feet.
Thanks, everybody.
Alden, now that we're done recording,
do you have like a pry bar or anything?
This turkey is like really, really stuck.
I'm surprised how good
the acoustics are in there.
It doesn't even sound like
there's a turkey in there.
I put a lavalier mic in the turkey hole.
Ah, good, good, good.
Wow.
Yeah.
Don't tell Shane.
He's going to steal that. Thank you.
