This episode is a monthly update, which means I'm going to ramble about what me and my team have been up to for the last month or so. And the first bit of good news is that is spring.
Starting point is 00:02:19 And that means the cherry blossoms are blooming. At least here in the DC area. The bunnies, the ducks, and the chipmunks are humping. That's always great. Crime rates are also dropping. Yes, there's research on that, actually. More light during the day equals less darkness, equals less time to rob people. And for Team Legion, for me and my peoples, it also means new digs. We are moving
Starting point is 00:02:47 into a new office and it is looking quite nice. If you want to see it, actually, I've posted pictures to my Instagram, which if you're not following me on Instagram, come follow me at most for life fitness, but I didn't add them to highlights. However, I'll post some more pictures as we wrap up the setup and have to give all credit to my aesthetically gifted wife who chose all the furniture fixtures and finishes, because if it were left up to just me and my merry band of foul bachelor frogs, our new office would have definitely ended up looking like something straight out of Storage Wars. So Bigger Leaner Stronger and, Leaner, Stronger 3.0, the third edition paperbacks are live on Amazon. As of this recording, BLS 3.0 is live, good to go. And TLS 3.0, the listing is live, but the buy box is a little bit messed up because people at Amazon had
Starting point is 00:04:41 mistaken these new books as defective, blah, blah, blah, standard Amazon trolling. But we do have a case open and they do understand what happened and they are working to fix it. So I'm going to say that they're probably, the TLS, they're probably both going to be live by the time you are listening to this, hopefully. BLS definitely is. It's already fixed, good to go. And the new book is selling. TLS, it's not a big issue. It's not like the books were destroyed or something. So I do expect it to be resolved
Starting point is 00:05:11 the next couple of days, which means it should be live. If you head over to amazon.com, just .com for now, we are working on getting UK, Amazon UK, Amazon Australia, and Amazon Canada live. It's just, that's a different platform and there are other problems with that platform. Oh, the joys of selling on Amazon. Anyway, I'm very excited to get these new books into your precious hands because they are reorganized and rewritten from scratch. And I am a much better writer now than I was a couple of years ago. And I know a lot more about diet, nutrition, and training than I did. And therefore, these new books are even easier to follow.
Starting point is 00:05:51 They are easier to understand and easier to apply. I've also tweaked the exercise programs based on a lot of feedback from readers, coaches, and coaching clients, as well as my own notes that I've made over the last several years. And I have removed material from the second editions, the 2.0s, that was interesting, but not vital. And I've replaced it with stuff that more directly addresses actual questions and concerns that people write me about. So as I've been saying, I really do think that these new third editions are going to be the absolute best fitness books for men and women on the market, bar none, not even close.

Starting point is 00:06:58 It's just, we are in the process of finalizing the digital files for the eBooks, which sounds simple, but really has not been. I've had to find new people altogether to prepare the files because the first people that were working on them just simply couldn't get them done. They just couldn't proof their own work. They couldn't make the files look good. They couldn't copy and paste the right information. It was incredible actually. So anyway, almost there, almost there. It's the 25th of March. I would say that the latest, the eBooks and audio books are live would be end of April, but it could be as soon as the first or second week in April, at least for TLS, because that
Starting point is 00:07:45 one is basically done. The ebook is basically done. There's just a final round of stylistic changes, superficial stuff, just making bulleted lists look better, numbered lists look better, H1, H2, and so on. All right, moving on. The next bit of news is that people are loving the new birthday cake flavor of Whey Plus, which is my whey isolate protein powder sold by my sports nutrition company, Legion. We've had products that appeared to have a lot of pre-launch hype, like Thrive, our vegan protein powder, not really pan out when they released. Thrive had a rather underwhelming launch. And then we've had products that generated a fair amount of interest pre-launch absolutely explode upon launch, like Triton, our fish oil. Starting point is 00:10:55 zombie hordes beat you to it. Okay, the last bit of news is the Legion athlete Hafthor Bjornsson set a new deadlift world record. Now, in case you're not familiar with Hafthor, he is the strongest man in the world. And he's also the mountain in HBO's Game of Thrones. This dude is six foot nine, 425 pounds. And he really looks like he was placed on this earth to dismember wayward humans. But instead instead he is just a nice guy with really strong muscles. And he's also a fellow Legionnaire. Yes, he loves Legion and he is proud to rep it and support it. And a few weeks ago, Half-Thor set a new world record on the deadlift, the elephant bar deadlift to be specific, pulling 1,045 pounds. And not only that,
Starting point is 00:11:47 he actually made it look easy. Go check out the footage on YouTube. You will feel very small and very weak and that's okay. And I also like to think that the pulse Half Thor took before the deadlift helped at least a little bit. And you know, if you think about it, if pulse is good enough for the strongest man in the world, it's probably good enough for the rest of us, right? Oh, no? You disagree?
