Hello, everyone. It's me, Lauren Lapkus from Newcomers. I'm here with a special announcement. No new episode today. Today, HeadGum is taking part in Blackout Tuesday to show solidarity and use our platform to fight against racial inequality.
We stand together with the black community and against racism, bigotry and violence. So in case you haven't heard, June 2nd is to be a day to take a beat for honest, reflective, and productive conversations about
what actions we need to collectively take to support the black community. So we have a bunch
of links in the description to organizations fighting against racism and police brutality
that you can donate to, as well as additional ways you can help the cause. And something that's
really cool is that HeadGum is matching donations up to $10,000. So you can check the description
for information on how to get your donation matched. And I encourage you to donate even if it's just a dollar or two, whatever you
can spare. We want to reach that $10,000 goal. So that would be really awesome. And we will be back
tomorrow with a very special new episode. It's really important, obviously, because we're talking
about the two Ewok movies from the 80s. It's timely. It's necessary. So we have Joel Kim Booster on. He's great.
We had a lot of fun recording the episode. And there are two Ewok movies and they don't need
to exist. But if you want, they're probably online somewhere if you want to watch them and
know what we're talking about. But we probably covered enough for you. And that's all I have
for now. So until then, the show must be paused. And it's for a very worthy cause, of course.
And we will see you tomorrow.
