Starting point is 00:01:22 Gentlemen, first of all, I think we have a special guest. We do. None other than Meg Atkins, Friday. Hello. Thank you for joining this program. Of course. Horrible spot that we have this evening. It's really ugly.
Starting point is 00:01:34 What a world. It's going to get a little buggy. Not from a technological perspective, actual bugs. The reason why we're doing it here is because there's no transportation for us to leave, so we actually have to stay out here. Just kind of a tough scene. Big, how was your day? I had a good, well, that was a joke.
Starting point is 00:01:52 That was very much a joke. Oh, okay. It was a little depressing this morning. Quite honestly, the first tee was muted. It was just, everything was off to not a great start. You look up and the stands are at least half empty. It's truly the highlight of the Solheim Cup is typically the first tee and Friday morning first balls in the air. We're gonna get into it folks. I promise you, TC's got the blowtorch ready.
Starting point is 00:02:20 We're gonna get into that. We need a little balance here. I won't bog us down. We're gonna have a fair. There was a lot of great golf play today. We want to talk about that. Right. We need a little balance here. I won't bog us down. This is, we're gonna have a fair... There was a lot of break off, but we want to talk about that too. This show is gonna be fair and balanced. We're outside of the nation's capital where a lot of that, I think they say that that happens a lot, but we are gonna address transportation issues. He's speaking homes of Hannity. Okay. The other thing that we're gonna address, so it might be some low stuff, but also we're gonna cover the high and that's gonna be brought to you by of course our friends of foot joy They're gonna bring us our moment of joy Later in the show as we celebrate that with a partner who knows a little something about joy foot joy the official glove shoe Rainwear partner of no laying up wherever you're playing golf wherever it's played There's one thing that's for certain most players will be wearing foot joy shoes true everywhere The thing is about this week almost every single player in the field this week Doesn't matter if they're here Solheim Cup Ryder Cup Curtis Cup. They're all rocking every cup. They're rocking foot joy shoes
Starting point is 00:03:16 Not only our number one shoe choice, but everywhere else. So thank you. We're gonna have moment of joy later on Big I think I mean, where do we start? Do you want to start with transportation? Do you want to start with this massive lead that Team USA has built out here? Let me just quickly, for those who are listening tomorrow morning and you didn't catch day one, quickly, the U.S. after day one leads 6-2. It's the largest five-session lead on record in the Solheim cup. How we got there. Foursomes play this morning. The U S continued their
Starting point is 00:03:50 dominance. Of course they went four and oh last year and four sums on Friday morning. They went three and one this year. Match one Nelly Corde, Alison Corpus defeated Charlie Hole and Esther Henslett three and two match two Lauren Coughlin, Rose Zang defeated Celine Boudier and Albon Balanzuela three and two match to Lauren Coughlin, Rose Zang defeated Celine Boudier and Albon Balanzuela three and two match three of the euros finally got on the board, Emily Peterson and Maya Stark two up over Ali Ewing and Jen Cupcho and then Lilia Vu and Sarah Schmelzel won three and two over Lynn Grant and Carlotta Saganda. Tron, we were feeling great.
Starting point is 00:04:20 A point better than we were last year at this time. We were ready for the afternoon, but it was more of the same. Four balls, US goes out and wins three to one. Nelly Korda and Megan Kang, absolutely boat race. Georgia Hall and Leona McGuire, six and four. Yet Anna Norquist, the experienced Swedes got a point for Europe. They won six and five over Alison Lee and Lexi Thompson. But then it was LC and Sarah Schmelzel, three and two, excuse me, over Emily Peterson,
Starting point is 00:04:47 Maya Stark, and finally, Andrea Lee and Rose Zhang, the Stamford Gang, five and four over Lynn Grant and Charlie Hall. So. That's just kinda how it was. It felt like there was moments of time where there was building momentum, and you guys tried. But it's just kinda like Randy's allegiance here to the team Europe
Starting point is 00:05:07 It just waffled all day I don't see a path to victory I'm still on team Europe, but you know LC. I love seeing what LC did she came out. She set the tone She did she messed the tone. She did. She messed people up. She a killer. A lot of people were critical of the decision to sit Leona in the first session after her dominance in that.
Starting point is 00:05:36 And I think this ain't the place for Leona. She's not playing great golf. And it's just not a great course for her. So let me ask you this. First of all, Friedegg Meg, Meg Atkins, thank you very much for joining us. You're welcome. Have you been to a Solheim Cup before?
Starting point is 00:05:53 Let me start there. No, and so since this is the first time around, got here early. I walked through the first stands, I think 6'10, 6'15. Okay. And, you know, it's still dark out. I had to turn on flash out of my phone. No lights on the drive.
Starting point is 00:06:11 To get to from the media center to the stands. I was like, I'm going to trip and fall and not make it to the stands here. So I walk in and it's, you know, smattering of people. I'm like, huh. A little weird. What? Okay. Yeah, something felt off, right? It was me. I was like, we. The weird. What? Okay. Yeah. Something felt off, right?
Starting point is 00:06:27 It was me. I was like, we're less than an hour. This place should be rocking. The music was going. It's plenty loud, but no, nobody in there. And I wrote about it, but the more concerning thing was it's not like you saw people filing in. You saw no, there were no streams of people coming up to get their spots.
Starting point is 00:06:43 And these are the first come first serve area. There's another, you know, reserved area. So immediately it was like, something's up. This is not good. And then just, you know, got worse from there. So you guys tell me, how do we even go about unpacking all this? Where, like, it was an absolute transportation disaster. It truly was.
Starting point is 00:07:02 I told you to be ready to go at 6 15 this morning. You rolled out of the door at six 17 typical Randy fashion. That was early. It was early. Tried to make it up on the highway though. Tried to make it up. I was trying to run to my sky TV hit all worries. Scheduling all these hits.
Starting point is 00:07:17 You're doing, you're doing. God knows how many hits you got going on this weekend. I think my frame of reference, I wasn't there on Friday morning in Toledo, but we were there bright and early last year in Spain, which last year in Spain was a complete logistical disaster as well. Different reasons. And all of the LPGA people were like, oh, don't worry, we got this shit. So many lessons learned, it's not going to be at all like that. They were so disorganized every year. That was pretty much the same deal there last year. And it's just such
Starting point is 00:07:51 a bummer because like I feel bad for, I feel bad for the LPGA rookies like Lauren and you know, and she played well and was, but she, she even said herself, she she's like I wasn't as up for it as I thought I was gonna be like maybe to her benefit right but like talking to people like the it just had seven buses running I guess running you know back and forth each bus what 50 people on a bus 40 something people just to set the stage all the parking they were directing people to something called the Jiffy lube live lot or the Jiffy. I think it's an amphitheater. Yeah, that's so sick. It's really weird I thought it was a Jiffy loop like
Starting point is 00:08:36 I will say Meg you wrote about this on the Friday golf calm It was a very good story kind of chronicle so maybe I'll lean on you here the Jiffy Lube lot or whatever it was called was essentially where all the fans were going to park they were gonna run like bag check security and that's where they were gonna bust people from there into Robert Trent Jones the golf course here but it's what 20 minutes Yeah, not I mean not too far but like if you were here yesterday for the opening ceremonies like the the writing was on the wall a little bit. There people filed out once the pairings were announced I guess they didn't want to stay around for uh Jordan
Starting point is 00:09:19 Davis or whatever country music sensation they had. Be careful. Are we banned? Yeah. I'm sure some people stayed. But a lot filed out. I think that's the name of one of his songs actually. Okay. I think some people stayed. Eric Cole actually. But you know that's a few hundred people and the line it took an hour plus maybe even longer. I heard some reports to get out from the opening ceremony with the media shuttle situation I mean not to like not being complaining, but you know We were you're waiting for like 30 35 minutes for them for the small shuttle for you know 15 of us that were finishing up for the day after that So it was like well well, maybe, you know, practice run, they'll get all the resources in in time for tomorrow. And, and, and no, and, you know,
Starting point is 00:10:10 like, one of my takeaways is that there's only there's a handful of times all year where the LPGA and women's golf is going to make national news and break into the greater sports culture, the great, you know, just general news. And when you're on ESPN's front page for something negative, it's just, you just missed missed the boat completely. We're not going with the all publicity is good publicity. No, we're not. We're not. So what we're learning, and again, this is just anecdotal because I have not received any official messaging from anybody. Yeah. You got a tweet. You should be happy with that.
Starting point is 00:10:48 Well, I was just going to say the word is they're running seven 50 person buses on a 40 minute loop round trip loop. So they could essentially take 350 people max every 40 minutes. And there are thousands and and 1000s of people that are going to this parking lot, all of whom want to get there at like, pre seven o'clock, right? Yeah, like get on site pre seven o'clock, some of whom have traveled in from Europe, Ireland, Wales, you know, Sweden, Denmark,
Starting point is 00:11:19 and you're paying the park, you're paying $30 to park, I didn't know about that 30 bucks bucks to park. You've paid the true ticket value. It's a hundred dollars for a ticket. You're taking off work. You're probably flying in. You have all these expenses already. And then you get to this parking lot. And it was truly like people were saying,
Starting point is 00:11:37 like literally what a two to three hour wait, just to get from the parking lot onto a bus to get here to the course. Just want to mention to everybody in the live show right now too, Jordan's doing an awesome job just flashing a couple of the pictures from the parking lot, transportation lines as well. There was one bathroom open, I guess it was one porta potty. Talk about this.
Starting point is 00:11:55 They finally opened, we talked to a bunch of people about this, they finally opened an additional five or six bathrooms, which was still extremely, you know, not, not requisite for the amount of people that like a couple thousand people that were standing there. And somebody asked the the after people like, Hey, can you can you open up another bathroom here? And they're like, No, the LPGA only paid for one, we opened up a couple extras because, which granted, you know, maybe they didn't. But like, how do you not foresee this when you know exactly how many tickets you sold? Well, that might be part of the problem
Starting point is 00:12:29 because other people are saying that the tickets are good for any day, Friday, Saturday or Sunday. There are guaranteed day tickets, but you also can buy a one ticket for any of competition days. So kind of, I won't, but I'll say this. So a couple other things. So
Starting point is 00:12:46 obviously there's a big backup. There's concerns when it comes to security. We couldn't really tell. There's like two, there's like two medical sectors only. Correct. I'll say this. When we came in this morning, it doesn't matter what event we go through, you know, we're coming through a different entrance for media and everything. We were never checked. Me either. None of our bags were checked. Which regardless if we go through media, we always even at media we still have to they check our backpacks they give you a little tag and all that stuff. Nothing checked for me to park in the media parking lot. Correct. There's a like Barack Obama was walking around. Well that's where I was going with this.
Starting point is 00:13:19 I understand he's a member here and that the detail is done you know they've scouted this and he spent plenty of time out here But this is a special Situation where I guarantee you the admon pot package for the Secret Service said reached out and whoever from Logistics or the operation side of this event said oh don't worry every single person that is coming to this event is gonna go through metal detector physical search everything, everything else. And that's, I mean, former president of the United States out there, you know, surrounded by a couple, you know, thousands. I was going to say, like in a temporary stadium with two or 3000 people there, like many of
Starting point is 00:13:55 whom I guess people started Ubering from the shuttle lot here and just basically the guards were just like, oh, fine. Like, no worries. Like come through because that's the only way people were going to get here. So there's a couple of questions in here already. First of all, people asking, hey, people couldn't walk to the venue. No, there's no parking around this. So think about it. This is a very high end private golf course and the neighborhood is secured.
Starting point is 00:14:24 You have to go through security. And it feels like you're going back through like a big corporate office park. Right. There's no place back here for any sort of general parking. So there really isn't a place for people to park and walk in. And even if they did probably park and try to walk in, the neighborhood security would not have let them in. Um, the second part of it is the Ubering, which I think, you know, people paid for parking to pay in the park, to be in the parking lot and then paid for Uber to get them here. And then they just run past security because they're just trying to keep
Starting point is 00:14:55 all these cars and everything going. So they're not slowing down more buses. And it just kind of became this snowball effect of like, Oh my goodness, what is going on and why is nobody saying anything about this? Right. And I just can't figure out, you know, Commissioner Molly Marcuse Amman was here this morning. Like pretty much everybody from the LPGA is here. It's their flagship event. On site. And it seemed like they were taken by surprise this morning. Like,
Starting point is 00:15:23 and it's, I mean, yeah, I guess I hope they're taken by surprise. Like, wondering where everybody was on the first tee, not even knowing that there was a shuttle. At what point do the freaking alarm bells start going off? Like, holy shit, guys, we got a problem here. Finally, we get, you know, it's an apology tweet. It's it's it's a little mealy-mouthed if if I may like I'll read it So it says this is from the official LPGA tour Twitter account We recognize and deeply apologize to all fans affected by the challenges with shuttling from parking to the golf course We've made significant changes to our transportation system to mitigate these issues moving forward and we are working on ways to express our regret to those impacted.
Starting point is 00:16:12 So that was at around 9 30 local time. So we're almost 10 hours since and I guess they're still working on the ways to regret to make the meanwhile the shuttles leaving were the lines were crazy long. I know you got some time lapse. I walked over there and it took me a while to figure out where how far it actually went back. So I started walking towards the front of it to where you finally get out and walk through the whole thing. I hoofed it and I time lapsed it on my phone. It's like a 20-25 second time lapse which is a long time.'s a long long line which in the in the People I'm talking to are like, you know, we waited 34 45 minutes We're about out and they're like this is so much better than this morning. I'm like no, it's not like this is still
Starting point is 00:16:57 Absolutely unacceptable. This is not how these things run. This is not how it works Which I think for like it's a bummer to talk about this stuff right now, but it's also like, I've had four years to plan for this. We've been telling people all year, like, go to a Solheim Cup. Go to a, you know, like it's a great experience. It's fantastic. It's better than the Ryder Cup as far as the fan experience and all that stuff. And then just from a standpoint of where the LPGA is, like there's no, all right, it's just 7 a.m. tee time. There's no lights on the driving range.
Starting point is 00:17:32 Yeah. That's insane. That's like golf operations 101. Like I reached out to several people who have been tournament directors or have worked, whether championship management with the PGA Tour or whatever, and like that would be the management with the PGA Tour or whatever. And like, that would be the first thing that your team would think of.
Starting point is 00:17:49 And then on top of that, all of this is on the back end of the LPGA just like not capitalizing this year on Nelly's, you know, winning streak and on like, it's just been whiff after whiff after whiff. And Bethann Nichols, like, I've never seen her this fired this fired up she wrote it she took a blowtorch to tour leadership and for good reason I think I don't think it was at all out of bounds or out of turn. No I'm just very disappointed again I mean it goes up to to the commissioner it goes up to Molly you're on site. I think it's worth it to at least come and address the media. Hey guys, here's what's going on. Here's how we fucked up.
Starting point is 00:18:30 And here's exactly what we're doing to remedy it. And it's not gonna happen tomorrow and it's not gonna happen Sunday. And you have my word on that. We didn't get any of that. Honestly, truthfully. Get in the booth. Truthfully, if you're watching right now,
Starting point is 00:18:41 I don't know whether it's gonna be a shit show Saturday and Sunday morning. I don't know whether to tell you to, yeah, it's worth it. Like they've made the changes. I don't know. Not only that to Molly. I mean, we reached out to, we have a lot of contacts with LPGA tour. We basically went from Molly all the way down and nobody got back. Radio silence. And it's, and it's one of those things like people have been sending DMS all day, like, Hey, I'm coming with my kids tomorrow. Do you think I should come? And to be able to like, A, the fact that they're reaching out to us to ask, and then B, the fact that,
Starting point is 00:19:11 that like, yeah, like there's no, you know, she could have gone in the booth, you know, hey, noon update, 3pm update, 6pm update. Hey, we've got it sorted. We've got 25 additional buses coming. Whatever. Like nothing. There's been nothing. Zero radio silence. This is like straight out of the Jay Monahan playbook and not not the Jennifer Kupcho Jay Monahan. Right. And you know, the invite was sent what was sent out, you know, Golf Channel would have loved to have her in the booth. And it sounds like just what to your point, you know, we're not getting responses. Golf channel is not getting responses. It's crickets. Well, they got the official statement.
Starting point is 00:19:49 They just lean on it. Yeah. Just, just lean on that tweet for as long as you can, I guess. It's, it's really frustrating. I'm like you said, it's like you tell people, Hey, this is a wonderful experience. And I do stand by. Like if you can get here and get in the gates, it's, it's, it's, there was wonderful golf and we're going to talk about the golf here. If you can find a parking lot on the other side of the lake, you can try to
Starting point is 00:20:10 swim here, I guess it's a good time. Yeah. It just is so damn hard sometimes to be in Meg. I know you have felt this. It's so damn hard to be a fan of women's golf sometimes. Like at every turn, it's just hard. And it's how do you attract new fans like that? Yeah, I don't know when the day will come. Well, when we will cover one of these major
Starting point is 00:20:35 events and not have to speak to something like this or the broadcast or some other snafu and it's Groundhog Day. And this is bigger than the broadcasts and commercials. It's bigger than locker rooms at Lake Nona. This is the biggest black eye. And who knows how long. NBC should be thrilled. Yeah, the heat's off them.
Starting point is 00:21:02 But yeah, I mean's you know not that what happens to me out here you know the fans are what matter and everything but you know like I'm following Nelly and Allison first match out it's a great match. The golf is good. Yeah. And I've got to go run into the media center to crank out something because you know shit's hitting the fan everywhere. Yeah. And it's just like that's not that's not what we're here to talk about. No. And every time it's, you got to talk about something that's not the golf.
Starting point is 00:21:32 And we're trying to build on, like, you know, Toledo was awesome. I thought they did a great job in Toledo. And then you try to build on that. You try to create momentum and establish a path forward. And hey, guess what? We're going to Valhalla in 2018. Hell yeah. Sounds like it. Love that tweet by, you know, a path forward. And hey, guess what? We're going to Valhalla in 28th. Hell yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:47 Sounds like they beat us. I love that tweet by Zephyr, by the way. Shout out to Zephyr. I will say this. It would not be a No Laying Up live show if we didn't have some sort of technical difficulties because I don't know how long, Meg, our camera's been frozen for. Oh, we have. But you did.
Starting point is 00:21:59 I look really good in that. I apologize. I apologize for that. I'm going to work on this real quick if you guys just keep talking. Yeah. Well, what else for the transportation? Because I do want to, there are a couple broadcast complaints. We might as well throw this in now, but anything else logistically? Just like, yeah, just like truly no idea how it's going to go tomorrow. I assume they've enlisted three, you know, like maybe this was a cost saving measure. I don't know what the LPGA's
Starting point is 00:22:23 financial situation is. Maybe they're trying to squeeze everything that they possibly and be all over it, right? But it just sucks because it's like, man, when you try to get people out to these events and it seems like there was really, like, generally a lot of enthusiasm in the DC area for this. And all of that just goes up in smoke from the start. Yeah. I mean, you just think of, you see tweets with parents bringing their kids out and turning around and going home. You see high school and college golf teams excited to come out and can't get to the course. So you just think about, this is probably the first impression for so many people and you just can't get that first impression back. It is truly such a missed and wasted opportunity.
Starting point is 00:23:32 It feels like it's not an act of God. It's not weather. It's truly, it feels like they've shot themselves in the foot and that's what's most frustrating. And then like refuse to go to the hospital after they've got themselves on the foot. You know, anecdotally from the events that I've gone to, the SoulHum Cup is a different demographic of fans than you see even at the US Women's Open. You know, probably next biggest event in women's golf. And to your point, this is a different group of fans.
Starting point is 00:24:02 This is your super fans. You want to sit here? And this is also Are you sure and this is also You know fans that are new to women's sports that want to check it out right that know about the Ryder Cup and want to check out the soul hum cup know it's gonna be a Rockers fun event and you just whiffed on on getting a whole new audience to into your sport Not only whiffed on getting a whole new audience into your sport. And not only whiffed, like antagonized them. Like I think that's almost-
Starting point is 00:24:28 It's just stupid for wanting to come out. Right. And just going back to the golf, like it was really good. There were great matches right from the start. They had playing Metallica on the first tee and just playing through it. It's a cool opening drive. You know, the build out's good. I know you're a big build out guy, Randy. I love build out. I love build out. I don't know Jordan,
Starting point is 00:24:48 I can't see the screen, but Joel Beal had a tweet earlier today, essentially along the lines of like, you know, sometimes I think golf Twitter might be overstating how bad things are, but holy shit, like we just can't have nice things, can we? Like across professional golf. Speaking of nice things, we can't, we can't get a score, a simple score bug of, uh, you know, to, to, to show the status of an individual match. Okay. Can we just explain that very clearly? So NBC golf channel all day showing the golf and in the lower right corner, they
Starting point is 00:25:23 have a scoreboard that just says USA, you know, tomorrow morning will be USA six, Europe two. And then as the matches go out on the course, it'll say, you know, US leads in one tied into Europe leads in one. And there's no detail ever provided about where those matches stand. And it's it like, it's the year of our Lord 2024 and we can't come up with a score bug that just shows the actual matches, the scores of the matches as they're happening. It's truly mind-boggling to me. I don't know what to say because it feels so basic to me, but clearly it's
Starting point is 00:26:03 It feels so basic to me, but clearly it's a lot more than that. Sally did like a little photoshop. She whipped it up quickly, you know? Yeah. I feel like we want to wrap up this talk. What's frustrating- Have you listened to this podcast? Yeah, we'll get on. We haven't even started.
Starting point is 00:26:19 I don't know what you're talking about. I just want to say that the LPGA is an organization of trailblazers, you know, from the founders to the women who pieced it along, you know, in the 70s and 80s to, you know, to the early 2000s where it was really struggling, you know, to, you know, our girl, Lexi, being the face when things were really bleak in the 2010s. And what this league needs is to keep that trailblazing theme going. And it's just completely absent right now. Yeah. And I think that's, as you have said, as we've all said, and to your point earlier, Bethann Nichols, like, shit, when Bethann's got the blowtorch out, like, things are bad.
Starting point is 00:27:09 Like, one of the most effusively positive people I know and is like, like, I think at times I've been critical of Bethann because she's been so positive about the LPGA tour when there's needed to be more criticism or more, you know, kind of objective, constructive criticism. And it's been like, because she tied it back to a lot of the stuff with Nelly earlier this year and the lack of like the TVBS and just not being on TV ever during the right times. So as an organization, I think there's a lot that needs to happen if women's golf is ever going to catch a wave like we've seen in other women's sports and really rise in popularity and prominence in the American sporting public or even the global, you know, mine.
Starting point is 00:27:56 But also tied to that is the broadcast. And you just can't separate the two sometimes. And I know we're talking more logistics and how the tour fucked up running this tournament this morning, but the broadcast is always there too. It's just neither are in a place to be able to capitalize when an LA quarter comes along and wins five straight starts. There's just no ability to elevate into trailblaze, as you said, and it's so frustrating.
Starting point is 00:28:25 And it's like, I want to get us back to positivity because there's a lot of positive, we got pairings and matches to talk about for tomorrow. We've got some stuff for today, but I just think overall, it's like, I didn't expect to be sitting here dumping on the LPGA. For good reason, it's like, we've been excited about this all year and told a bunch of people, hey, you know what? It's so good in person on the ground. Well, we care. Everybody who came here or tried to come here, they care. And the thing is, is that those people who care are still going to make the best effort
Starting point is 00:28:57 to come out and watch and support and tune in. But what about all the people that we're trying to grow? What about all the little girls that now, why, their parents were trying to bring them You know, what about all the little girls that now why, you know, their parents were trying to bring them out here, but they don't know if there's even, they don't want to, you can't stand in line with a little kid for two hours. No bathrooms. Like that's where we're at here. And that's the most disappointing thing.
Starting point is 00:29:19 I'll ask you guys a question here. Does Molly survive this? I mean, unless she comes out with a statement and quickly and I feel it's she's taken ownership like truly I don't think so like as it stands right now I yeah something's got to change because this isn't even strike one is the real issue. I was gonna say it was coming in we're like on their back foot anyway or you look at CME you know the comments there and just various things and And it's like, at every point, everybody's tried to kind of
Starting point is 00:29:48 give her the benefit of the doubt and say, Hey, like, you know, you're, you're filling big shoes here. There was some things kind of swept under the couch cushions that we need to kind of fix systemically. And it's just, I just don't have any confidence that that, that that's happening, A and then B that like. Like it just seems like everybody in that media center today was kind of like, whoa, like, like, I don't know what's going on. Like, you know, you can ask the LPGA kind of thing. So we're we're a little over than over three years into her tenure.
Starting point is 00:30:21 So she came on that long. Yeah, she came on May like 18 was like 18 months ago. May 2021. So. Honeymoon is over. Yeah the honeymoon is over. So September 2021 we have Inverness. So this is when Molly's on her listening tour learning figuring out what this job is essentially since she did not come from this area at all. You know, this we're three years down the road and the biggest the flagship event is is worse off. And whether that's directly on her, you know, it all it all rolls up to her as the face of the as the face of the league.
Starting point is 00:31:02 And if it's not the end, then what worries me is that there's a level of complacency that's even worse than what I think is there. Like institutional. Yeah. Yeah. And yeah, I. And I'll just say some of the frustrations we've heard over the last couple of years has been around communication, right? Specifically, players feeling like they're being communicated to by Molly and her staff and the LPGA Tour. And that's where I am as a fan. Like, like, I don't, there's been, it's horrible communication
Starting point is 00:31:36 today. They put out one tweet and that's it. Like, well, they put out a lot of other tweets about getting a point when the point wasn't even available. They just, somebody went one up in a match. But this is where I struggle of like, you know, it's the same thing with the PGA Tour of like, and granted like situations like this give me a little bit, a little semblance of respect for the PGA Tour of like, hey, you know what, like at least they handle some of the basic shit from a tournament operations standpoint. Like they've got the championship management and their various, you know, whether it's Wasserman or CA or whomever, they've got their shit together as far as tournament ops here go.
Starting point is 00:32:07 But I look at the LPGA board and you got Ali Ewing, Stacey Lewis, Gemma, Mel Reid, Elizabeth Zockel, Kelly Tan, and then you've got a bunch of retired executives from likes of Walmart, Hilton. You got the former president and general manager of the New York Knicks who he may know a thing or two about dysfunctional sports organizations, right? But it's like, at some point, like, I just don't know if they have the appetite to rock the boat, but like that's what is needed right now, it seems like.
Starting point is 00:32:41 Yeah, I don't know. I just think it's gonna be very, very interesting because at some point in time, the sponsors of this event, I don't know. I just think it's gonna be very very interesting because at some point in time the sponsors of this event I'll say this and I would even go as far as say like broadcast partners Probably need to be asking some real tough questions here because there's people that are spending really good money there's a lot of people that are invested in growing this game trying to elevate this platform here and and It's just kind of continues to fall short, which, you know, in my experience,
Starting point is 00:33:07 and I understand that that doesn't go back, like the LPGA Tour and the players right now, they seem so damn marketable. Like, yeah, the number, one of the complaints all the time about the LPGA Tour is like, oh, you don't have any name that's at the top that really is recognizable. I mean, you have Nellie Korda.
Starting point is 00:33:23 And Nellie looked like she was, for the first time time, for like one of the few times that I've watched her play, looked like she was playing with true joy and having fun out there. And you got Lauren out there who's just like a standout rookie Soulime Cup performance. You've got Megan Kang, you know, bouncing off the walls like ready. She was she was a delight to watch today Like it's a good product. Yeah, you know speaking of good product. So I want to give a shout out to my friends at Yeti. They of course are our partners on LPGA tour content for this entire year I love everything about and you know Yeti that double whether it's hard cooler soft coolers luggage tumblers, you know, Yeti, whether it's hard coolers, soft coolers, luggage, tumblers, you name it.
Starting point is 00:34:05 They even got customizable options for TC's little kids or my little kids or, you know, they're going to lose them after the first couple months of school anyway. You can find that and a whole lot more at Yeti.com. And thank you to Yeti for supporting all of our LPGA content. Big stuff. Can we move on from anything anybody needs to get off their chest before we move on? No, we'll just see. We'll see what happens tonight. Truly, the proof will be in the pudding. I have no idea.
Starting point is 00:34:34 All right. Day one, Meg, I'm going to put you on the spot. Day one, MVP, who was it in your opinion? Nelly. Yeah. Just from a from more from a for the rest of the team seeing the best player in the world that's on your team play like the best player in the world has got to just boost everyone's confidence. You know, she's had a good record before, but that's some of the best golf I've seen
Starting point is 00:35:02 her play. I followed her in the morning and the afternoon and it was just all working. I don't know why we haven't seen her and Megan play together before. That's interesting because we saw Megan last year with Lexi and they went to it. It's almost like Megan has that ability to almost extract her partners like best. And I think some of that's the attitude and the infectious energy. Well, just like Nellie said too, when you have somebody off the tee box, it just hits every fairway.
Starting point is 00:35:30 I mean, she was like, hey, I can just open up and just unleash it. What was that stat that Stacey said? Yeah, that's seven plus strokes gained in the afternoon compared to the field, which, you know, Justin Ray and the stats team do the rider cup as well. And that's the largest margin and strokes gained for any session that they've seen. So pretty good.
Starting point is 00:35:51 I'll just say too with Nellie, I mean, she went out first both sessions too. So it was like not only playing great, but setting the tone. And you have to think that was infectious too, for teammates to see. I will say, Tiger may have gotten there with the Steven Ames match, but he just didn't have enough holes. I guess that's, that's one thing is like, you have to play enough holes to be able to, to gain enough strokes, right? Cody, let me come to you besides Nelly.
Starting point is 00:36:23 Who else is MVP consideration today? I'll see, man. Rookie nerves. I mean, this is a big time stage. And I think we got to put Schmelzel right there too. Exactly. Tara went 2-0 as well. Schmel me.
Starting point is 00:36:35 You know, they won one together, but they both get credited for two points. Yeah. You know, we talk about it a lot, but it's so damn cool watching Lauren out there. I mean, it's something that obviously she's dreamed of but just this whole year it's something that we always have known like ah she's so close it's right there but you know we never really thought that was gonna happen but like when is it gonna happen and then you get you know two national opens and you get on this team you're not even a pick you're automatically on it based off points. She's out there and she's feeling it and it's from her home state and she has representatives from the state
Starting point is 00:37:11 golf association that she grew up playing. This is everything and for Elsie to go out there and get two points on the board is so damn cool. I'm just happy for her, happy for John, the whole family. It's the first thing too that she says like the last year and a half, like whenever she's played well, it's been like, oh man, I got up to eight install-hand cup points. I got up like this is like Max, man. Like she's, she's, this is at the top of her goal list, wish list, to-do list. And doing it in a year instead of the two-year normal window. Like that's what always blows my mind is she's done this in 11 months.
Starting point is 00:37:48 Yeah. And then she makes it and then she just comes out and plays incredible. In hand up I was questioning you know should Angel have made the team over Sarah? Sarah looked completely at ease, looked completely comfortable. Credit to both of them. I mean, compare them to the two European rookies that both lost their only match today. It was night and day. I'll add a third. I was very impressed in it specifically in relation to how she looked last year. Rose Zhang looks like a completely different person this time. She has kind of like Nelly. She just has a life about her, an energy, a lightness. And it could be playing with Lauren,
Starting point is 00:38:30 the first. Yes, exactly. Well, Lauren and Andrea, I mean, it's very comfy comfy. She's used to this now. I mean, I think we even saw it in her eyes last year in Spain. Everything was just coming a little too big. I like, whoa, what's going on? Um, she was, I was looking at the official scorecard Rose was seven under through her. They only played 14 holes. I mean, she was, she was playing some golf. So I think Paulie Zing would call that a ball striking. Jesse, can we, can we just, I know we brought them up ready, but like, you know, it takes a lot of guts to put two rookies out together. Yeah it does. And for Stacey to be like this is what the data says, I'm feeling it. The data girl.
Starting point is 00:39:10 Go out there. And they did it. Damn man. Alison Corpuz had a lightness about her this morning that she and Nellie are a fabulous foursomes pairing. We're gonna see them tomorrow. I think Ali Ewing continued her like really like weird kind of like weirdly disappointing Solheim Cup record. Like that was the only match they lost. They lost the Ewing and Cup show lost to Emily and Maya this morning. And I just can't figure out like what like how Ali can't get it turned over. Yeah, I know. I think she's now three, nine and one all time in Solheim Cubs. I feel like she's probably played. She hasn't maybe deserved all of that record.
Starting point is 00:39:52 Probably played better golf. I think we gave her a little bit of benefit of the doubt. See how she does tomorrow. I think she thought Caroline Headwall was going to pop around the corner on honor at some point. And and and she And she was keeping an eye out not to get put in a body bag again. Put some people in LBJ leadership. Who's our flight tracker guy? Can we get head on a plane
Starting point is 00:40:15 and start tracking a Euro plane over here? And then I think too, like match four, Lillia and Sarah going up against Carlotta and Lynn. And Carlotta gets put on the clock with them. So bad. It's incredible. And they're sending them out first tomorrow. Listen, you're down six to you might as well get into your bag of tricks. Like Carlotta slow down the offense tomorrow. So slow.
Starting point is 00:40:46 We highlight. I was with her group at that, what was that? Saturday at the AIG Women's Open. Yeah. And Randy was done for probably two and a half hours before I was. And I'm like, he's like, where are you at? I'm like, I'm like on the 14th tee box, man.
Starting point is 00:41:01 And he's like, what? I'm like, I'm having fish and chips. We were almost, we literally were over three holes behind and I was like, what is happening? It was so bad. It's not even, I mean, the routine is bad, but it's just her whole gate. Yes. Presence and demeanor. It all reads, I am in no. It sounded like he was getting called out on the broadcast. You're stealing my moment. Can I just do my moment of joy? Okay, of course. Thanks to our friends at Footjoy. This brings us to moment of joy.
Starting point is 00:41:35 Of course, obviously there's so much joy to talk about this week. There's spectacular golf weather across most of the country. Many people will get to see the, will get to see Rowe County down for the first time at the Irish Open. And of course, all the joy that comes with the team event at the Solheim Cup. TC, why don't you kick us off? Yeah. Listen, a lot of joy out there. A lot of joy here at Solheim Cup. What brought me joy to see Carlotta in the most predictable fashion ever in an alt shot, an alt shot format get put on the clock. There's two balls in the play.
Starting point is 00:42:12 It's really breathtaking. John Zach had a great tweet. He said, I've never seen a broadcast so openly blame a single player for pace of play. Like they're doing it with Carlotta Saganada right now. Inevitable. No surprise, et cetera, et cetera. Raw, but good TV. Which like, yes, like we, this is what we need to, we need to get these people out in the open. And she's talked about it. She's like, I know I'm a slow player. Well, you know what? Like, you got to improve. Otherwise we got to start stroking people, man. And they did stroke her. What was the, she missed a cut because she got penalized. Oh, at a Wilshire.
Starting point is 00:42:50 That's it. She was a time. So she knows she's slow, but she will not take responsibility for when it gets her kicked out of it. She was kicked out with a kick-IBO on the first seat. Going out first tomorrow morning. I love that. I love that. My Mona Joy. I think you guys told it earlier, but just hearing Metallica's For Whom the Belt Holes as Lauren Coughlin walks out of that tunnel onto the first tee this morning. It was, it was goosebumps. She is a massive, her and John are both massive Metallica fans. That was a special request to get that song. We were, what was the, we were like, has Rose ever heard a Metallica song before, do you think?
Starting point is 00:43:30 No, no, it was. I guarantee you, this is the first time Rose has ever heard a Metallica song, let alone this song. Yeah, yeah. Just such a cool moment. I mean, we talked about it. It just really kind of a goosebumps moment watching her. Cody, did you have one? I think honestly I'll say this. I want to say it's the event as a whole. I think this event capsulated everything that I kind of love about No Laying Up is that it's a team event that we care deeply about. We get passion on both sides but we try to play both sides the best that we can. There's something that's messed up logistics. He gets TC absolutely wired. He's running around
Starting point is 00:44:11 trying to check sources, figuring out who all these personalities are, who can we blame, tournament organizers, you know, are there agencies involved, shit like that. Yeah, there were rumors that Wasserman just does some of the corporate sales for this This is a strictly LPGA run event then security US oil security kit got involved and I'm sitting there going Oh my goodness, like Secret Service is starting to pop out like Safe what the hell's going on here. It was just an awesome funny day with truly some amazing golf and I'll say that like I Truly hope because I hate that we've had to spend the first 30 minutes of the show talking about that with truly some amazing golf. And I'll say that, like, I truly hope, because I hate that we've had to spend
Starting point is 00:44:46 the first 30 minutes of the show talking about that, we do it because we want it to get better. Right. You know? Right. Because the golf that was out there today was such world-class. It feels like if nobody's trying to put a little pressure on things,
Starting point is 00:44:58 how's it ever gonna change? I'll say too, sorry, just real quick, logistically. It's so dark right now. It pisses me off. I understand the cameras make it look light, but it's very dark This course has hosted presidents cups for literally they have to have a playbook in the office Like here's the playbook for how to do this like just go in and they hosted the quick and loans national like the tiger hosted event that
Starting point is 00:45:21 Your guy Troy merit one You know and in like that's it. That was nine years ago, but that was a big, like, you know, DC doesn't get a PGA tour event every year. And that was a, oh, yeah, it's like, what? There's no excuse, man. I thought somebody in the live chat earlier was like, yeah, you know, DC, there's just no tour buses. Right, right. tour buses. Right. Right. I was gonna say we were hopping on BBC radio and it's like I'm even forgetting we're doing that with all this crazy shit going on today. I think TC might they're angling for me. I said get ready. I'm taking a little undisclosed field trip tomorrow but I'll be back Sunday. I was like you better get your dump buddy button ready over there. Real quick before we get oh sorry. Well I was just gonna say we talked about dump buddy button ready over there. Real quick before we get, oh, sorry.
Starting point is 00:46:05 Well, I was just going to say, we talked about the highs real cool of team USA. I think we got to talk about team. You do, you know, preview and everything else. Happy hour. You guys were just killing me about what is team USA got to do to turn this thing around. And I'm going to, I'm going to turn it back on you. And I'm sure we can start with the highest ranked players. Yeah, let's start right there. Just so disappointing. Salim Boudier, Charlie Hall, I think they're ranked like 10th, 11th, respectively in the world.
Starting point is 00:46:30 They're two highest ranked players. Neither earned a point today. And going back to the start of last year's Solheim Cup, they're combined one and seven. It's just not, it's simply not good enough. And I'm I'm a little surprised. Suzanne Pederson hasn't like expelled Celine at this point. Just you need to go. You just sending her out in in like, I don't know, I just didn't understand. Just send her out and like four ball, right? Like let her play her own ball,
Starting point is 00:47:03 let her do let her do her own thing. Let her do her let her do her own thing She's almost trying to hide. It's like is she a top ten player? Is she not a top ten player? Yeah, right I struggle with that one You know again, we talked about like Georgia and Leona like that's just not it like like some of them I'm like maybe that's like sending them out first in the afternoon knowing that like the US is gonna to try to keep the pedal down. And they sent out Corda and and and and out there.
Starting point is 00:47:28 And that's like, all right, cool. Here's our sacrificial lamb. And then we're going to load up the next three. They're two and oh together in that in that format in in four ball ball. But, you know, I think we're looking at maybe Leona is not the Leona she's been the past the past two Solheims and maybe in Georgia has not had a great year either. And so you're kind of looking at if we if we fast forward to Sunday, if this you know
Starting point is 00:47:58 stays how it is and the Americans are on top, you're looking at a transition of some of your your veterans. This is probably I mean in an or't know, she may do these forever. It just seems like. But you've got her, you've got Georgia, you've got, you know, this is only Leona's third, but maybe you can't rely on her for three plus points every go around. And I don't mind that sending them out first. but now with them just getting boat raced by Nellie and Megan, it's like, well, that card's played. What's another card?
Starting point is 00:48:30 And then your hand gets real small real quick. And it's really tough to send Maya and Emily out. We're playing both playing really good golf and they get beat three and two. By the rookies. Yeah. And then Lynn and Charlie get beat five and four. And shout out to Madeline. Like Madeline played for sure. I. Yeah. Um, but I just, I struggle with like Esther's going to have to play her, play her ass off tomorrow. That's the thing. Like that's where you needed to
Starting point is 00:48:56 come in and play like Lauren's playing, right? Like they're two of the, they've been very hot all year long. Esther's probably played the second best golf over the last three months. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, who like looking at, looking at tomorrow's. Yeah. All right. We're going to go through that for us. TC. So we got match one, you got Alison Corpuz and Nelly Corda, again, like keeping the pedal down, throw the hammer out early. Yeah. Going back to last year. And they're going out against Emily and Carlotta.
Starting point is 00:49:28 First thing, gonna slow the tempo down, ball control offense. We've seen that before. I think this is a massive match that Europe has to have is match two, Ali Ewing and Cup Show against Esther and Charlie Hull. I have to have it. I mean, you almost have to have a half point from that first one.
Starting point is 00:49:47 And then you have to have a full point from the second one if you're Europe. Match three, Lexi and Elsie, which is, Is Lexi playing a max fly? She is, she is. That was why I thought she wasn't playing this morning because you know, nobody wants to play. No one was to pair with a Mac. Oh, so they're playing Maya and Georgia again. That's another one that like man, I'm
Starting point is 00:50:13 really really curious to see all that one goes because that's that's another one that that that the euros need because I Think I think Lillia and Sarah Schmelzel and that in that anchor match that's a really good pairing. And they're playing Anna and Celine. And it's almost like, you know, they're sending out Anna with Celine to see like, hey, can you get something out of her? Can you, you know, it's like,
Starting point is 00:50:37 it's like Captain Pedersen sending out her, her trusted lieutenant, basically saying like, hey, like if anybody's gonna be able to like drag her across the finish line, it's you, you know? So I guess I'm just a little surprised one Lynn Grant sitting, like she's one of your best players. If you go to her scorecard for four ball this afternoon, I think she was like four under. They just got, I mean, Rose, yeah, they just got obliterated. Charlie didn't give her much. Charlie didn't give her much. Charlie didn't give her anything.
Starting point is 00:51:06 That's my point. Like, I almost think like, Lynn, you almost have to push five sessions and feeling like she's young. And then Madeline started playing really well. She didn't play well early. She was spraying the ball, but once Madeline gets hot. She's a momentum player.
Starting point is 00:51:19 Yeah, I'm surprised Madeline's at. So Cody, what do you make of, we haven't seen Maya and Lynn yet together. Yeah, I know. Thateline's hat. So Cody, what do you make of, we haven't seen Maya and Lynn yet together. Yeah, I know. That's a weird one too. I'll say that, you know, I don't think they've, like coming in, I think it's one thing, they tried to play that last year when, you know,
Starting point is 00:51:39 it didn't really work out too well for them. But I also know that like, I think they've both grown a lot. And I think that auto pairing that we think it is just isn't really that normal Swedish pairing that we're gonna get, which we saw is Anna and Madeline today, who played it phenomenal. I don't think there's anything. I think really being able to separate Lynn and Maya, you would make two strong teams instead of just having one team when you have, you know, other people who aren't necessarily quite on form So we know that both captain said you're probably not gonna see somebody go five sessions
Starting point is 00:52:13 I'm also surprised as young as roses how well roses played and as absolutely get the crap out of the golf ball and Made seamlessly like every putt that she is sitting tomorrow's morning session. It also feels like putting some money in the bank a little bit for having a fresh Sunday and all that where like I'm a little bit surprised that they're not sending Megan King out tomorrow morning. Like they're going to have her coming off coming off the bench fresh tomorrow afternoon.
Starting point is 00:52:38 And yeah, well, so if we take Stacey at her word tomorrow afternoon, LC will sit because this will be her third session. Schmelzel will sit and Nelly will sit. So do you think she sticks to that? If euros win the morning session and Nelly is still playing, maybe Nelly wins hers and the rest don't go the US's way. How far back would be too far back? Now we're asking the right questions.
Starting point is 00:53:06 Yeah. No, I just love to ask that question. I mean, it's 6-2 right now. Like if it's, let's say Europe wins the morning 3-1 somehow. OK. And they get it to 7-5. I think we got to get to 7-5. Like if we don't get to seven five I think you can start planning
Starting point is 00:53:25 the closing ceremony then what do we need to be at the end of the day for for it to be like an exciting sunday nine seven nine seven's like I could maybe see like nine and a half six and a half but like yeah if the u.s gets to ten and all they got to do is win four and a half matches Like if the US gets to 10 and all they got to do is win four and a half matches. I think that's it. I mean, 10, six was a 2015. The they were down 10, six and us came back to win. Um, but not easy to do, obviously.
Starting point is 00:54:02 The, uh, there's been no haves thus far, right? No, only one match has reached 17 and then it reached 18. All the other matches have ended. Which most of the good holds, like I liked, set up wise, did you like the golf course today? Yeah, I did. I did. I think it played into what Stacey, how she wanted it to play. A lot of the matches were pretty, didn't open up the big leads until 7, 8, 9 and then into
Starting point is 00:54:24 that early stretch of the back nine. 12 and 14 the par fives. So the US had four matches where we won both 12 and 14. 14 was sick. With Eagles, a lot of Eagles. So that's where you kind of went from two up three up to four up five up. Yeah. And they closed it out before you reach, you know, 16 17. So I want to see if that trend continues and that continues to be an important stretch. Nellie won almost every part five. She did all eight part fives that she played today.
Starting point is 00:55:01 14 was provocative. Like I saw so many balls in the water there and balls that weren't even sniffing. Yeah. That's just a great spot in the course for those to have two scoreboard part fives leaning on the strength of the team. It was cool too how they they bumped up the tee on 10. Yeah I loved love I love that. Yeah, that was great And I was surprised that like they tucked a lot more of the pins than I thought they were going to for sure I think the cool thing I like that there's some big dog legs that are out here and you have angle You know where they're where the apex of the dog leg is. There's usually a hazard right there There's a lot of bunkers big bunkers are out here
Starting point is 00:55:41 obviously big bunker, but if you challenge them and take them on the right line and you have the power you're Extremely rewarded and I was so impressed with how Nellie quarter drove her golf ball today Because where she is trying to fit that ball at her length she's given herself a very very small landing area and Taking full advantage of it and she's out 50, 60 yards in front of people at times. Yeah. A lot of the big bunkers are built up and you have a downslope off the back of them. And you know, you carry that, you take that risk on off the tee, you're rewarded with
Starting point is 00:56:15 a nice roll out of an extra, you know, 10, 15 yards and they're in great shape. Well, I have a, I want to update the people. We did a draft for our preview episode, but before I do, I was kind of thinking we could end there. Anything else anybody needs to, you know, good, bad, otherwise, before we call it a show. I think today was an awesome day of golf. This is a, I understand the score is kind of lopsided, but it's a, it a lot closer than that six to paint that as I hope Team Europe, I know that they're getting fired up right now. If there's, you know, anybody that's gonna fire them up, it's
Starting point is 00:56:54 their captain. And, you know, I'd say the Dame, right behind her like, yo, what the hell are you kids doing? Pull your head out of your asses because we gotta go. We're not doing this this time. We might need to send the Damon to this. This looks bad. Yeah. Right after that and say, hey, pull your head out of your asses. Your ass is on the hot seat right now. Yeah. Get in the game. Step it up. Project some confidence and fix this thing. Same, same exact. You can play that same exact pep talk in the European team room and in LPGA leadership's, you know, C-suite huddle tonight. I will say my outside of that, I think it's really damn cool that a former president of the United States was out here today. Absolutely. And I know he made an
Starting point is 00:57:40 appearance early on. He's a member of this club, lives somewhat close by and is out here often. But like, you know, in a time, we say it all the time when the sports is divided as it is and there's a President's Cup in a couple weeks and you know, I don't know if he's involved there. But the fact that he's here and he felt inclined to come out and support these women, I think it's really energetic and into it. Yeah, right. Some gravitas to the event. The toss. Right? Some grab a toss to the event. The crowd went crazy. Luckily, he came in the afternoon. So there were people actually there.
Starting point is 00:58:10 Can you imagine if he rolls out and... No. I know. There's nobody here. Back to Dame Laura. I didn't do my moment of joy. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I forgot about it until you said Dame Laura and I was like, Oh yeah.
Starting point is 00:58:27 Being in her presence is my moment of joy today. What an absolute boss. And she is a celebrity out here. She was with the groups that I was following along. So I saw a bunch of her. So many pictures, selfies, autographs, eating it up. So friendly. Got your team, your own balls that she signed ready to toss to people. She like no, no ego, really. No, amazing either.
Starting point is 00:58:53 She's an incredible, incredible story, incredible person. All right. Well, we did the team draft. I told you I hated my team. He hated his team. You're the number one. Yeah, I don't like being in one of his team. You're the number one pick. Just for fresh people. I don't like being in the one pick. I'd rather be on the back end of the tank.
Starting point is 00:59:07 TC grabbed again. It's just pure total points at the end of Sunday. TC had Lynn Grant, Esther, Lexi, LC, Ali Ewing, Andrea Lee, Georgia Hall, and Allison Lee. They combined by my math for three points today. Tron is in third place. In second place is yours truly. I had Lilia, Leona, Megan Kang, Charlie, Rose Zhang, Jen Kupcho, Celine, and Anna Norquist. They combined for five points.
Starting point is 00:59:32 And our leader, God, he's starting to open it up a little bit. Eight points for Cody, his team, Nellie, Maya, Alison Corpuz, Carlotta, Madeline, Emily Peterson, Sarah Schmelzel, second to last pick for him, and Alban Valenzuela. So we'll see if we can run down Cody. Alban's going to need to stick her nose in things tomorrow too if this come back's got any legs. One other person I want to give a shout out to, Andrea Lee. I like watching Andrea Lee play golf.
Starting point is 01:00:03 For sure. It's just, it's classy. Yeah. She's just, you know, like she's another momentum player and I don't know. I feel like she knows how to hit the right shots at the right times. Loved her and Rose together. Like the pairings just made sense from Stacey's side of things. Like, oh yeah, that works. That's great. And yeah, easy, easy to say that when you, when you come out six and two and question what Suzanne did. But looking to the morning, I don't know if 2-2 or turn in the corner, it's going to happen in the morning.
Starting point is 01:00:34 We'll see. You got to get a little more than that. If you're playing it on a two-two. Yeah. That's what I'm saying. 2-2 is going to be like a stretch, I feel. Exactly. And it's amazing that the US team was able to recover from
Starting point is 01:00:46 the travesty that was the driving range controversy and fiasco. Maybe that one has a motivated. Yeah. Well, I'll say this.
