guys a couple other you know highlights here we are gonna be doing 35 other live
shows those are me kind of you know our Sunday night shows we're gonna be live
at Pebble Beach in late January, if people remember that.
Out near the driving range, we did that last year.
The folks at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro Am are good enough to have us back for that one again this year. Cannot wait.
And Neil, what are we doing in Charlotte? Another big one.
Yeah, we're planning a live, live show Thursday of the PGA championship in Charlotte.
We are, you know, destination TBD or location,
I should say we're working, we're working that coding that are working on it will be
the greater Charlotte area. It will be, it will be, and it will be that Thursday. And
so it'll be a live show that you can show up live to, which will, which will be, you
know, something new for us. We're taking the show on the road. I don't know. Nobody's ever
done that in the history of radio. They've never taken it on the road. So we're gonna be the first ones to ever do it. I can't wait
Guys, we've got Kapalua this week. We've got the century going on right now
As you mentioned TC Tom Hoagie Hoagie coin potential rug pull going on out there at eight under
You know what you next? Yeah invest at your own at your own risk
You know what you next yeah invest at your own at your own risk
Little wills al atorris six under through 11 holes Adam hadwin Harry Hall cam young
Cody's guy cam young Tom D tree and Austin Eckro trailing at five under
Neil I'm sorry with you Kapaluah first first game of the season. You know, what comes to mind?
Well, mahalo for coming to me first.
Of course.
And aloha to everybody out there.
We'll start there.
You know what comes to me first?
Just the views.
It's, we've said it a million times,
but I'll turn it on later after the football wraps up,
once coverage comes on, and I'll be like,
what am I doing in Brooklyn?
Why am I, what am I doing here?
It's a nice check in on like, is life where you really want it?
And the answer is usually no. So we got some stuff to work for.
It's motivation of like, God,
I want to be the guy out there on Thursday in Maui, you know,
after the new year, as the holiday is winding down, how do I, how do I do that?
How do I do that guy's playbook?
That's what I think of when I think of this tournament.
Catching waves out of Honolulu Bay?
Not even. No, no. The fact that they're at a golf tournament when they're in Hawaii on Thursday,
instead of being at the beach, means it's like, no, no, I go to the beach all the time. That's not even a big deal.
I have nothing else to do. I'm just going to go to this golf tournament. That's why.
Grab a plantation tea and just walk around for a couple hours.
100%. Yeah. Who's this? Grazerman? I think Grazerman's coming up next. Yeah's why. Grab a plantation tea and just walk around for a couple hours. 100%.
Yeah. Who's this? Grazerman? I think Grazerman's coming up next. Yeah, great. Oh yeah, heck of a
swig. Love it.
No, Matt. Matt McNeely's here. Oh man, I remember he was a kid. He was coming out here, man.
Remember we used to run a new year's ago. So anyway.
I feel like we have the same conversation every year. It's great to be back, Wales, views,
Copaloo is great, all of that, Rolf.
But it is truly, I don't know,
maybe it's just as I'm getting older,
but it's one of those days that I'm like,
it always lives up to it, man.
I do always love flipping on the TV
and seeing the views and seeing Rolf and seeing it.
It's great.
It's a touchstone that I feel like maybe, I'm not trying to spin the positive into a negative, but one of those
touchstones, we kind of feel like we're on the edge of losing as the PJ Tour changes more and
more and more and more and they kind of try to reinvent the plane while they're flying a little
bit. It's this kind of like annual stuff every year that I do like checking in on. Am I, Kev,
am I on anything there? No, I think there's a familiarity. It's a kind of like annual stuff every year that I do like checking in on. Am I, Kev, am I on anything there? No, I
think there's a familiarity. It's a kind of a natural sort
of rhythm to the season starts. So, and I, you know, I
love some of the shots that they hit. I love, you know,
they're gonna show the same like Tiger Ernie showdown on
the highlights. Like every time we get to 18, every time
we're gonna see that Bubba driver, well, maybe less so now
that is with the other operation, but some shots. Sh shots in the history of golf were hit by players that no longer exist anymore.
That's true. TC, did you guys ever have Rolf on the trap draw when you were doing the city's
tour?
No, we didn't. That's a great, that would be a great callback. Rolf's, I mean, nothing
makes me happier than how much Rolf loves Hawaii.
And the trade wins.
And the Kona wins. And just all that. Imagine too, how many guys over there and the trade wins, Hona wins. And just all that.
Imagine too, how many guys are there in the distance?
Imagine how many miles are all fast, you know,
returning to Hawaii every time or week.
Incredible.
Yeah.
Incredible.
Deeds, to your point though, on the rhythm of the season
and like it is, oh yeah, golf season is starting back up.
I think, you know, the last 10 years,
it hasn't really felt that.
It felt like a three week break.
This year it felt like a pretty true break
after the tour championship.
Then you had the President's Cup,
but it felt like you could kind of tune out golf
for three months.
And I think that makes this tournament feel special
and feel like it did a decade ago.
There also is something cool too,
and we're gonna get into a lot of this,
whether it's injuries or new sponsors or whatever,
but it is cool when people show up at the range and it's
like, feels like the first day of school.
Yes.
You know, like that didn't really exist when it was, oh yeah, we just saw that guy play
two weeks ago, three weeks ago, and I know guys are still playing the hero or whatever,
but like it's kind of rad that we haven't seen Victor Hovland in three months, four
months.
You know, we don't know what we're gonna get.
Like that, I don't know.
There's something very cool to, uh,
the off season that that could probably be made.
Or you sent around some press conference notes yesterday and it's like reading
through how different players handle the off season. You know, Xander's like,
ah, I just been grinding on wedges. I suck at wedges. It's like, what?
One, two majors. Like what are you talking about? But you know,
he's talking all this technical stuff about his backswing and then it's like,
Chris Kirk, what have you been up to? Yeah, nothing, man.
Just been hanging out. Like when you play golf, I played lefty a few times,
but otherwise I just been hanging out, you know? So it's, I,
I love that too of like, what'd you do? Uh,
what'd you do on summer break basically?
Gorgeous native sons there. Oh man. I fired, I fired Joe Mayo.
I just working out.
Uh, you know what guys, I will say the one thing that kind of is a little bit of a drawback
these days is the fact that it's no longer tied to champions.
I think that's, you know, you like win and you're there.
There's something special with that.
Now I guess when a lot of guys that win don't show up, that hurts things as well.
But at least the big name. That would be an inefficiency, right? Yeah. guys that win don't show up, that hurts things as well.
At least the big name. That would be an inefficiency, right?
Yeah, who's kind of most responsible for that?
I guess Tiger and Rory and Phil, I suppose.
But other than that, I feel like most guys
were kind of showing up.
I don't know.
The field is weird, and maybe that's just a product
of golf being in a weird place, but it is not really like,
I don't know, there's a pretty big Scotty sized hole that we can talk about, but no Scotty, no Rory, and none
of the Liv guys is like, okay, yeah, this isn't quite the same.
It should let the Liv guys who won, like you have to win a little bit.
That'd be great.
Come on over, man.
That feels like, you know, TC, I keep hearing we're so close on this deal.
Just make that the first bullet point.
First concession.
Kapa Lua that's now for the winners of, I don't know, throw the Korn Ferry Tour guys
in there if you want.
Champions Tour winners.
There's like three of them.
Oh yeah.
Yeah, that'd be great.
All right, let's get into a couple little news and notes.
I mentioned some injuries.
I'm sure this is news that you've probably heard by now.
Scotty Scheffler had surgery on his right hand
to remove pieces of broken glass.
Just one of those stories that I was kind of bleary-eyed
on whatever that was, Christmas day or the day after,
and just kind of like trying to piece together my head,
like, huh, he just smashed a glass in that way.
But he's gonna be back in three to four weeks.
I don't know that this is a big deal.
Anybody worried about anything here?
Not worried.
Neil, are you worried?
Was he doing the dishes?
Is this a high-ponish?
No, I was gonna say, not worried that he'll be back.
But it does sound like kind of a beluga injury,
stepping on a plug when you're using the Normatec boots
or something when you're on Taurus sauce. My
swing was so dialed to what I I'm a question for you guys
when when I hear of like these kind of injuries, I immediately
start to just try to like picture in my mind how I think
it happened. And I'm like, this, I'm then you're like, well, I
wonder if like in Toronto nice childhood house, there was a
drop step into the living room. I'm like, maybe as a drop step,
like my mom does, you know, it's like, she's always worried about like old people falling
on the drop step and like, you know, then you're like,
what's got he drinking?
Like, was he carrying a whiskey glass or was it like,
or was he just carrying a plate of China, you know?
So I'll spend like minutes, like just kind of playing like,
I wonder what it looked like.
And then I don't know.
I just have a ton of fun doing that.
Do you guys do that as well?
Well, when you don't get like a real explanation a ton of fun doing that. Do you guys do that as well?
Well, when you don't get like a real explanation, right? Like if it was innocent, like, oh,
he stumbled, he dropped his glass or whatever, then your mind goes racing. And to be like,
wait, Scottie, like a secret, like, is he cheers too hard? Is he like stumbling down
on Christmas day?
I know.
Scottie is way more interesting.
Yeah.
He's way more interesting. Yeah. Which would be so sick.
I hate to say that.
It was like, oh my God.
Like legendary functioning alcoholic.
That's incredible.
It kind of reminds me of, Randy wrote a piece,
I think for the golfer's journal forever ago
about like why he hated Ricky Fowler.
And he was like, man, I don't actually hate him.
Like if you, now it's like getting awkward
that we like have this platform
and like you actually see him at a if now it's like getting awkward that we have this platform and like,
you actually see him at a, like he seems like a great guy.
He's like, I just, I gotta hate somebody, man.
I don't know, I gotta like,
if none of these guys are gonna give us anything,
like I gotta make up something in my head.
And that was just a very, it's kind of a similar situation.
It definitely is.
Yeah, there's that vacuum, there's that void with the,
you fill that void in however.
We did it with Tiger all the time too, right? Exactly. It's all in the police report. It's that void with the fill, you fill that void in. However, we did with tiger all the time to
right exactly. All the police report. It's also for Scotty
though. It's probably like when that happened, he's probably
like, oh shit, like what a what a guy just wouldn't wish I
wouldn't have done that injury, you know, like if he just
straight up didn't want to go to Hawaii.
I don't know. Didn't they have like x rays though? Or was that
a maybe that was
a lot of those hollow
darnos. Mayor, I don't want to go to they have like x-rays though? Or was that a maybe that was how long it was. Okay. Darn it. I don't want to go to Hawaii.
It's a long flight. We get over there. Uh, tired of eating loco mocos, man.
Uh, Neil, I think that that leads us into, uh,
it leads us into the next one after a four month break from tournament play,
Victor Hovland, KVV's boy broke his his pinky toe on his right foot. He is still playing
this week. He's actually three under through eight holes. Kind of a, you know, in true
Hovland fashion, the explanation was that he was so tired flying straight from Norway
to Maui, which is a hell of a flight. And, you know, just sprawled out on the bed, was
exhausted, fell asleep in his clothes, woke up in the middle of the night
to go turn the lights off, stubbed his toe on the bedpost
and just broke it.
And so, there we go.
Now we got some clarity.
That one spoke to me.
I've had a bad run of stubbing my toe lately.
And so I was like, oh man, it really,
sometimes it takes a minute for that pain to get to your brain
when you stub it and you're like, oh God, that one might be,
that might be the broken toe. I don't know.
It does feel like a coin flip. Like is the pain gonna cover
that? Yeah.
Yeah. How bad is that?
I would have heard it by now. Yeah. So yeah, Hovland is he's
playing he appears to be playing pretty well today.
Big walk.
That is a big walk. That is a big walk. He also had a lot of
quotes about his golf swing and why he shut it down for four
months.
And, you know, by his own words, not quite a complete tear down.
But as always, he's searching for something.
He is split with Joe Mayo again.
Kev, I'm just going to turn this over to you.
I'm sure you were scouring some of these reports, reading all the quotes.
What do you make of all this?
I think that the most important thing to remember about Victor is he just has a restless mind. He cannot stop
tinkering and you know, I think that I don't have any insight
into why and he and Mayo split but it seemed like from Victor's
comments, they disagreed on sort of the path forward and you
know, I think that there's very much probably I know Joe was
always trying to
get him to sort of tweak and maintain and he didn't want to be out there like week to
week to week.
And I would wonder as total speculation if maybe Victor was like, well, I would like
you to be there like week to week with me, uh, because I need sort of some continual
guidance.
And, you know, he, he sort of rewrote then went to the other side and said like, well,
I'm not looking for a coach necessarily. I'm just want someone to kind of,
you know, I can own my own swing that the sort of Tigerism, I don't know.
I just,
I wonder if Victor is just one of these people who is just bound to never feel
satisfied. And I engulf kind of that seems like, you know,
you're constantly tearing things down. It's,
it's not a really great method for having a repeatable pattern.
constantly tearing things down. It's not a really great method for having a repeatable pattern.
Agree. Agree. I find myself super fascinated, kind of almost in the same vein of what we're talking about here and filling in the gaps in my head of their conversations. I feel like this
would be... Is there a better story in golf right now other than maybe, you know, the boardroom dealings of what's going on with all the PIF and the
new co and the PJ tour and all that stuff.
Will there be a better like all access documentary than just watching those two
over the past 18 months?
Not even watching both of them. Just like, all right,
like Victor's driving 26 hours to go to Luftholten or just all
sorts of stuff like that.
It's his own museum to museum.
And like, you know, he's checking out Stonehenge.
Yeah, KVV my counterpoint to that, like, and this is going to be completely
opposite of what I was talking about with Scheffler, where it's like, I'm
making up wild, wild stories in my head.
Sometimes with these, I'm like, maybe it's the simple answer of like,
seems like Mayo's a pretty big personality,
like based on what you wrote,
it's like maybe it's just like, ah, dude, okay,
you know what, actually had a few months off from you,
now we're back together.
I just, yeah, it's not a good fit.
Yeah, it feels like two very strong personalities clashing,
but those two do to me.
Two very stubborn people, two very intense people,
and I think, you know, Mayo's comments in that story that I wrote was basically like, But those two do to me. Two very stubborn people, two very intense people.
And I think, you know, Mayo's comments in that story
that I wrote was basically like, I realize that my intensity
is a problem.
Like, I am hard on people.
And you know, that's very possible
that that just wore Victor out.
And he just couldn't stand it long term.
Yeah.
I feel guilty, but I kind of want more.
I want to get back together again. Well, I know I've said this before on the pod, but I just still remember we were filming a Titleist video over the summer and you know, Victor was working with the ball fitter Shorty and it turned into just like they forgot the cameras are there.
And he just gets so deep, so quick with golf, just talking golf. It's incredible.
Which kind of seems like he quick with this with golf. Just talking golf. It's it's incredible. Which kind of
seems like he gets that way. 40 not shorty.
Yeah, he does get that way about everything. He's like he's he's
that's for me. He was a kid. He's studying every single
possible thing like keep falling into deeper, deeper rabbit
holes. He's like looking on YouTube or different methods.
And, you know, I just I don't know. I mean, maybe like that's part of what got him there. He's like looking on YouTube or different methods and you know,
I just, I don't know. I mean, maybe like,
that's part of what got him there. It's part of what made him great. Right?
So that's hard to convince yourself. Hey man,
like all this shit that you learned now, just like stop it,
just quit it and just kind of ride it out and you'll be fine. Like, eh,
no, it just kind of goes against my whole wiring. Yeah.
I feel like they're like that. He lives in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
He doesn't anymore. He moved out of New York.
Where do you move?
He lives in Florida now.
Oh, I didn't know that.
He that's less interesting.
It is it is I'm sure the Oklahoma boys still you know, you take the boy out of
Oklahoma TC but can't take take
it wouldn't sweet if KB said yeah, no, he moved to Lubbock.
All right. He rented the Kill House, actually.
He lives in Jacks Beach.
He lives on Hardwick Street.
Moving on.
Kapalua looking green and lush.
T.C., there are a couple of Xander quotes just about
about Truong Golf keeping it soft.
I've been watching today.
Still looks pretty solid.
You know, I don't think it's...
Balls aren't backing up or landing their pitch marks or anything. it soft. I've been watching today. Still looks pretty looks solid. You know, I don't think it's
balls aren't like backing up or landing their pitch marks or anything. But it's just, you know,
there was a quote from him in there that said, yeah, I guess Trune likes to likes it lush and
green and all that. And then everybody's saying how it looks better than it has in years and all
that, which like, do all these guys just love green? Green, green green green? I mean, yeah Americans T.C. I think so
All right. Well, yeah, like this one should play so firm and fast and
You know, it does I see it. I gotta think of the right way to say this like this place does when it does get really
Firm like it can look a little
Scragly and a little ugly.
And maybe I wonder if that's what they've meant where it's
like, like, no, it literally looks as good as it ever has.
You know, like the, the green does make it pop and it makes
it look pretty, it's hard to hold back the jungle out there.
Exactly. There's, there's a couple of times,
which I think is sweet where you get out there and you're
like, like I'm sure 15 years ago, 20 years ago,
like the place probably looked pretty ragged compared to how it looks right now, which is kind of sweet, but I don't know if we're
going to see those, those days come back.
Yeah.
I don't know.
I just, I guess I think of all those tiger Ernie shots from back in the day and yeah,
I mean, they're bouncing in 80 yards.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Which, yeah, I think it's, it's kind of a watch this space, I guess we'll see.
I wonder also how much of that is due to, you know,
the renovation, restoration, refinement,
whatever they like to call it.
And probably some of those greens being like too firm
for a while.
I wonder if they've been trying to balance it out,
but I don't know.
That's kind of a watch this space.
I do want to back up though.
You asked the question,
I don't know if it was rhetorical.
Do these guys like it soft?
Of course they do.
They want the ball to,
they want to control every variable possible. Andorical to these guys like it soft. Of course they do they want the ball to they want to control
Every variable possible and a lot of Bob doesn't I feel like most guys that we talked to like one-on-one
It's like I've never been to Scotland. I've never been to Ireland
It's not like these guys are like out traveling going to the you know, very few of them are like
Oh, I want to go see you know, Golden Age courses
No, they're they grew up playing like AJGA events at like super green.
Well, I know they like to control the ball on the ground. They can't control it. But the best
players should want it baked out and firm fast because that's where their advantage is.
Especially for this golf course too, right? Where it's designed to play that way. Good
one from Blake Porter there. Can't be Brown for contractual reasons because of FedEx. That's good stuff. All right,
moving on. I mentioned kind of first day of school vibes, some new clothes, new sponsor
changes. Our beloved guy, Max Homa, is leaving Titleist, has left Titleist for Cobra and
Puma, as well as Lulu Lemon.
Tisi, I'll throw it to you first. What's what was your
initial reaction seeing this and kind of how you feeling?
I think it looks good in the Lulu stuff. I think Mac, you know, Max, Jonathan Wall had a great great piece and you know,
Max seemed pretty open and honest with him. So props to
him for that. I wish him well, man.
I hope it works out.
And he played like he,
I almost won the Masters last year.
I hope he gets closer to winning the Masters this year.
So we'll see.
The driver, he struggled with the driver last year.
And I think his iron play started to struggle
a little bit there too.
So we'll see what happens with it,
but he's still playing titleless golf
ball and and you know and yeah. Pro V1X guy now switched
switched over last year. I should mention he's birdied
three and four so I think we can it's a resounding success.
You know, KVV the results are in man. How can you argue
otherwise? Uh you know, history has not been super kind to
people who have uh made switches like this. Uh we were digging a little bit through the. Uh you know, history has not been super kind to people who have
made switches like this. Uh we were digging a little bit through the archives and you
know, Payne Stewart made a switch and and Lee Jansen made a switch and Nick Price made
a switch and they all kind of didn't work out for them. I was trying to think of the
flip side of it. You know, like Mickelson had most of his success after he switched to Callaway, won five of his six majors.
So, you know, there's certainly one,
but they're not a lot of like examples.
I mean, you know, Big Shot Bob got a little bit better
switching to Titleist, I think,
than when he was with TaylorMade.
So some decent examples of,
but I would say most of the other kind of stuff is,
Cody Stone-Rom and Nellie in the in the mix there so that's
Sure cat. Yeah, Rory had like seven different Hall of Fame careers TC. So that's true
Neil had anything to add. What are you thinking? Well, I mean personally bummed like won't see him at the photo shoots
It's always nice to see a familiar face and, you know, do fun stuff.
I would say, I agree with you, the Lulu stuff looks good.
I'm bummed for our hitters at Footjoy.
I feel like they've been up in their game
the past two or three years.
So I'm bummed they're losing Max
because he's a magnetic personality, right?
Like he is, it's been big news because Max is very marketable and and so it is a big I
guess coup for Cobra and Puma he said some things in that article that you
referenced he see that you know I kind of had the Alonzo morning GIF going like
yeah okay you know I can't really make up my mind like hey sometimes change is know, he hasn't been having much fun change helps. It's like, okay, I feel like that's a bit short-sight maybe you're a free agent for a year and you really truly explore the space. I just wonder with some of these deals,
it kind of comes down to the money, but the money's so big in the purses now, wouldn't
you just want to be able to play? I give Brooks a lot of credit. He kind of went on his own
and was like, I'm just going to play whatever I want for a while. And then I feel like the
money or the sponsor stuff will come from that.
Now this does probably set max up to be featured. He will be the lead horse in that stable.
No question about it. I mean, Ricky's maybe a bigger name historically,
but max is definitely a better, you know, better golfer. So he's the best golfer they got.
So he will be the centerpiece, you know,
similar to what you see with Xander now over it at Callaway, which there's some benefits to that, but then you look at somebody like
Ricky, it also, I think, adds some pressure. So I don't know, it's an interesting mix of
like business and golf and I really hope it works out for Max. The one other thing he
mentioned then there that I was kind of like, I don't know about that. It sounds like this
Cobra driver has like 39 settings and it was like, you know, more choice is better. I was kind of like, I don't know about that. It sounds like this Cobra driver has like 39 settings.
And it was like, you know, more choice is better.
I was like, nah, man, that's not good for me.
Like I don't think that's good for amateurs.
I don't think, I don't think being able to change
something 33 different ways is like, you know,
add those combinations up.
Like, I don't know if that's good
if you're just going to be tinkering all season.
But we got growler on the bank this week too. That's true. That's great. That's that's I'm excited to if that's good if you're just going to be tinkering all season. And we got Greller on the back this week too. That's great. I'm excited to watch that dynamic.
Yeah. You mentioned new coach John Scott Rattan. I don't really know how to pronounce that, but
he's the director of instruction at Congressional, I believe. I talked to Max a couple of weeks ago.
He was raving about it. Said he's really really loved working with him
I think on the titles front. It's like the biggest red flag
I think I would throw which is pretty obvious one is just titleists like presence at events is
Is pretty unparalleled. I think and the stuff that's like what you need to fix on the fly. Hey, I'm not quite getting what I need
Here from this club. What can we do?
Like that feels pretty unparalleled.
Just I know we've all kind of seen that out there and all the teams have, you know, all
the companies have teams of different sizes, but I think Cobras is one of the smaller ones
for sure.
So I think that's something you're giving up leaving the titleist team.
But yeah, I don't know.
I mean, Max is, I don't think he wants it
anymore than like to play good golf. So it's not like he's, you know, just
chasing, uh, flashy items. I'm sure. I'm sure he's put all this through its paces
and like UTC, I mean, wish him, wish him the best. I hope it, hope it works out
great.
And I do too. I don't, I feel like I'm, you know, It's just a surprise. No, I
honestly, I'd love to have a few beers and like everything I just
said, I'd love this. Ask Max all of you. What did you think
about this? You know, and I'm sure you have good answers for
all of them because in his career, I'm sure you thought
about all of it like way too much. It's probably been a
stressful three months for him. So I what if I don't what if I
don't drive it? Well, yeah, no, I'm good out there. Yeah, I
thought about that. Yeah, no, I thought about that. Actually, yeah.
No, I'm sure he did.
I just, these are, I'm just going through
the motions right now, you know?
Honestly, one of the biggest takeaways for me,
Deidre, was like those 3D like printers.
Like, can you just print a car?
I know you can make guns with 3D printers.
You can make obviously like irons.
Like, can you make a car?
Like, can you make a person?
What if 3D printers can't do?
Well, they gotta do the 3D, they gotta do the tool for it,
and then they gotta mill each iron out of a,
it's basically a milling machine,
but you gotta create the mold to do the mill.
Would recommend everyone read the Jonathan Wall story
that TC reference was really good insight to just,
oh, you know, like what we have on the rack, on the rack, like, hold on, let us go.
We'll just go 3d print something for you.
That kind of feels like you're, it feels like what you're used to, uh, is just a
best, uh, kind of a West worldly, uh, place to live.
It was also interesting to hear him talk about, like, yeah, I didn't, had no
desire to go through golf ball testing.
And so he still will have, you know, I think there's a bit of a hedge there
with like, you know, he's still's a bit of a hedge there with like,
you know, he's still going to be playing a title is golf ball.
So it's not like he's not going to talk to the team there too.
So could be hopefully it's the best both worlds for him.
Yep, indeed.
Yeah, just one thing I wanted to throw out there just because it feels like everybody's
beaten up our guy Max here for a little bit.
So just to play the other side of it is that, I think Titleist is awesome
because it kind of run two year product cycles.
But in all those examples that KVV used,
that's wouldn't, equipment was still like the wild west
and technology has improved so much across the board
that they're changing things out
every couple of years as it is now.
Why does it matter what it
says on the bottom of that club for Max Homa? You know, if they can literally say we're
going to go make you whatever you need to do to perform. And I think the coolest thing
about that article is talking about that relationship that he's going to have with that fitter is
like, you know, that company has gone through the wringer because of Bryson. Like there's
not a lot that they don't know fitting wise that they can't figure out on the R&D side to match.
For sure. I guess my only counter to that would be like, who do you think has spent the most R&D
money? And that's a pretty big if, you know, if it's if the question is necessarily like,
if we can get you something that feels the same or looks the same or reacts the same. And we were talking about earlier and Kev, I think where it really starts to
get interesting or stressful is when it's all of a sudden like, yeah, man, hitting balls
on a range with a track man is one thing, but like you need this ball or this club or
this driver or this three wood or whatever to do exactly what you want it to do when
you've got some ball 18 inches above your feet on 13 at Augusta and you've never been like more stressed out is like I think that's
where some of the equipment stuff like really rears its head or some of the comfort stuff.
And so maybe that won't be the case and maybe it will be but I think that's like where the
conversation gets pretty interesting.
Of course.
And the last thing is I know like the the went through like, you know, 10, 15 years
ago now, but like there's a lot of titleist DNA still in Cobra.
And I wonder like where that's actually at.
Is that still the case?
Like, you know, overseas factories, forgings, you know, templates and blanks and things
like that.
Like, where is that actual line at?
Cause it takes a long time to get some of that stuff out of the company. Yeah. And listen, I don't think any of us know how it's going to
turn out. We're all sponsored by Kylus. So, yeah. NBCPR would want us to make sure we're mentioning
important context in our Kylus relationship. For sure. No secrets about that. Yeah. See how it turns
out. It's going to be interesting. No clue how it turns out.
Well, if I was going to say, give Max a shout out, good for him on being decisive. You know
what? I'm going to forge a new, I'm going to just make a decision. Now you got to go.
Let's go all in. Don't have any second guessing about it.
For sure.
Neil, can we pay some more bills?
Sure.
Let's talk about Roebuck. Should we?
One of these light Roebuck hoodies are great.
You all know Roebuck best fit, best feel.
It's a new year.
Still love Roebuck and the Roebuck hoodie is still the
single best piece of clothing we own.
Simple as that.
Trust us.
If you haven't already, 2025 is the year for you to try a
roback hoodie. Roback also just released their new Fulton hybrid jacket which is another one
that we love good for uh little coffee runs up here in Milwaukee. Insulated quilting on the front
and back panels and stretch knit sleeves is both warm and flexible and the internal and external
pockets are very clutch as well. Loving this jacket super clean uh flexible, and the internal and external pockets are very clutch as well.
Loving this jacket, super clean, very comfortable, and the perfect secondary layer on or off
the golf course.
And finally, Robac's Q-Zips are soft, clean, and comfortable.
It's been a while since I put the Q-Zip into play.
I might need to change that here shortly.
Perfect versatile layer for those cooler days.
They're made to move from the course to everyday life. That's TC's move, you know going right from from the from the course to the boardroom and you can you can wear the road
I mean this either way or everywhere in between
That's right
That later if you haven't already it's time to load up on some row back use code
NLU on row back comm for a generous 20% off your first order through the end of this week. That's spelled roback, R-H-O-B-A-C-K.com, 20% off.
All jackets, Q-zips, hoodies, and more with code N-L-U.
TC, you had this next idea, which I think was spot on.
It's peak time for buying or selling.
Time for a new year.
Let's take stock of kind of where we're at.
And-
You can lease too.
That's true, okay, that's interesting.
But at least to own.
We're gonna keep it to buying or selling or leasing.
I wanna start and I'll throw out,
just because we talked about him already, Victor Hovland.
Neil, buying or selling Victor Hovland this year?
I'm buying and I know that's not smart
It's it's kind of like when you're buying a company or your portfolio that you like you
Yeah, I really like this company, but it's like, you know, it's not the right price
I like all the finance people like no, that's bad stock to buy right now. Like that's it's it's all off
It's all out of whack. It's like well, no, I use the product. I like it and I like Victor Hovland
I want to root for him and I just feel like he's got too much game and he cares too much not to dig
himself out of this rut that he's in.
Is it a bad stock to buy? I mean, I feel like it's, you
know, buy low sell high, like I feel like it's definitely now
the time to just buy the dip.
Sure, it might be the buy in the dip, but he might have some
like Boeing situation, you know, where he's got some like quality
control and show, you know, like, yo, we are not passing the FAA requirements here.
You know what I mean?
I hope Joe Bail is alive.
I don't think it's an engineering issue, Neil.
Whistleblower situation.
Thanks.
This is not financial advice.
What about the rest of you guys?
I'm with you, Neil.
I'm buying, by the way.
All right, all of it.
Give it to me. I'm doing one of those Klarna plays. Give
me like five. Buy now pay later. Yeah. Yeah. Give me that.
KBV. I'm buying. I think you know as soon as he figures out
to make the ball just go one way left right, it's gonna be
he'll he'll be fine. He'll be back again. What uh what what
else you guys wanna put on the market? Uh I'll put
something on the market. I think uh Nick Dunlap.
Interesting. I I think I'm selling. Two wins is a lot to
repeat and I just feel like there might be a little bit of
a wins. You know, I know. I know but you know and AMEX.
KVV. I love that answer. I feel like we've got a, you know, country music sensation, Eric Cole, sophomore slump upon us.
That's that's what I'm thinking here.
Figure out a little bit more about tour life, you know, starting to get the wearing down of a full season.
I just feel like he's a potential like the stock is really high right now and you want to get out.
Well, it's a volatile stock too. Yeah.
Yeah. Clearly he has the game though. I mean,
you don't win twice by accident. Um, but I, I just, I, I think if you're,
I guess it's all perspective. Like, are you,
if you're telling me he's going to win twice again,
I'm definitely selling on that. Um,
now do I think he's going to like miss every cut? You know, no, I don't,
I just don't, I don't think he'll win this this year I think that's what I'll put out there. I think I'm gonna hold
Yeah, that's that's kind of where I'm at. I think like there was a I was reading some of his transcripts
there's an interesting deal in there about how
like he kind of had to learn how to be a pro as far as
practice rounds go like he was he was used to
practice rounds go. Like he was, he was used to having one practice round for collegiate events soaking up as much as possible that day, and then just going right out and he said he got lazy. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, he was just like, he would put off the work or he had too much time to accomplish too little and kind of some of the details washed over him so you know that maybe that doesn't, maybe that doesn't manifest itself
in 2025. But I'm long Nick Dunlap. I'll say that. I think, I think the Ryder Cup is a good test.
Does he make the Ryder Cup team? Like it's pretty thin at the bottom of the US team. So if like,
if you want him for the future, like he should be able to get in that 12 spot. And if he doesn't,
then that to me shows a little bit. He'd be a damn good fit at Bethpage too. Yeah, seems like it.
I mean, it's just, I know this is obvious, but he just turned 21 years old, right?
Like he was, I don't know, like I can't imagine trying to go from, you know, whatever, thinking
you're going to play in college, thinking you have your life kind of mapped out, all
of a sudden everything gets flipped upside down when you win.
You suddenly become a PJ Tour player.
All your friends are still back at school or playing college golf or doing other
stuff. It's gotta be a very lonely situation over the past year.
I know he had all that kind of weird agency stuff going on.
So I think it's kind of a year, I think, to see what he's got.
He's kind of had it at every other level
and kind of been the dude.
So it's, I don't know, I'm excited.
But I am kind of with you, TC, that I'm holding
or trying to buy some sort of long-term option, I think.
What else?
Neil, where do you want to take it?
I'm gonna go with Bryson here.
You guys buying or selling Bryson?
Are you buying or selling this SPAC, this NFT?
What would you say?
Can you be a little more specific about what we're buying?
Did I see a little bit more of the product?
Well, I guess with Bryson, it's very simple.
I guess it's will he win a major this year.
It's what a regulation is there on this. Because that's the only time I don't really want to say like always gonna
Want to live event like I mean I would hope so, you know with the size of the field and stuff
It feels like he's he should win multiple
So let's say let's say that you think he's gonna win a major this year buying or selling I
Think coil hollow feels like a, really good spot for him.
I'm going to sell just based on the pure math of the odds are for anyone to win a major
is not good.
But I think he's going to play really well.
But if I have to pick one or zero, I'm going to pick zero.
I would also say that similar to what we were just talking about with Dunlap, it's like
a hard year for him to follow.
Yeah. Just with like the,
honestly with the YouTube popularity as well, like does that start to, you know,
not where all the people, but like, is that plateau a little bit?
Can he keep up with the, with the algo? Um,
Oh, it happened to the hawk to a girl. Exactly. I, you know,
does he try to launch another, uh, do we have some sec investigations?
I don't know. Um, I don't
know. I feel like Bryson and, and like, Tom Kim feels a little bit like this to me where
it's like, God, if I, you know, if you're so, it's like, um, should I buy like the,
you know, what's a good example? Like Eli Lilly, you know, like, I don't really like,
yeah, I should buy that stock. It would probably probably rip, you know, but like, I don't really
like wanna, I really like that company. You know what I mean? Like, I'm not really like,
it's like buying vice stocks, you know, if I bought like Altria or something,
it's like, well, yeah, people are always going to like smoke tobacco.
Like it's probably a good thing to own, but like also like I have a, you know,
it's not like long term damage. Are you worried about what it'll do to society?
Neil? Yeah, a little bit. Exactly. You know, it's like,
what do you want to hold in your portfolio, like stuff you believe in, you know, but then people want to make money like for Bryson, right? Does it does it mean backing up the T in his house and getting another hole in one over the house? Or does it mean, you know, the crushers winning a team championship or it's truly smaller sample size for him with only the four majors.
All right, so that's an adjustment we'll have to make
moving forward with these next few.
It's like buying or selling is not good enough.
When you get more specific.
Yeah, you have to like buy or selling to what end?
You know, like what's the.
What are you looking at?
Are you gonna get a dividend out of this stock?
What's your goal here?
You know, are you gonna hold?
How long are you gonna hold for?
Kev, what do you got? I'm buying on Bryson, but if you want to move on from this segment,
I'll throw out Jordan Spieth. Are you buying or selling? Oh, God. See, now that's interesting.
But this is another one. Buying or selling in what like, so what's what is what am I buying?
I think we're not trying to get to the historical
highs that we were. Yeah I think you're buying it speed comeback. It's not the 1950s anymore you know.
I don't think 2015 ain't walking through that door 2017 it maybe could be in play at some point but
if you're buying speed I think you're buying like return to being a top 25 player. Like I guess I'm buying that I'll buy top 25
player especially in the crooked OWG are where Keegan
is top 15 player in the world. Are we buying Jordan on
the Ryder Cup team? I mean that's kind of the ultimate.
Yeah, I know. I'm going to say yes. I'm going to buy it
just because of what you said. I think the bottom of
that US team's a little bleak of what you said. I think that bottom of that US teams a little
bleak right now.
Yeah.
I mean, he did finish well at the PJ Championship
there.
He finished the what like third or something fourth.
That's true.
I forgot about that.
It's like the worst course fit ever for him.
That was like the weirdest, weirdest finish.
I will get ready for it to be a talking point that
he is a generational driver of the golf ball.
Are you happy with your investment
if Spieth goes out and wins the Valspar
and makes the Ryder Cup team?
Is that, you know, or?
I think that'd be a great year.
That's like, hey, I'm thrilled with my portfolio.
Moves my GSP.
He's in the top 10 in the matter.
Closer to retirement.
OK.
All right, I'll buy that too.
I think he'd go win the Valspar.
Hell yeah.
Sign me up for that.
Valspar, Valero.
You can't beat Peter Malnati. Come on. What are we doing here?
All right, TC, I'm going to throw this one at you.
Ludwig winning multiple times.
I'm buying. I'm buying. And not only am I buying,
I'm taking out a mortgage on my home.
I'm taking out a second mortgage on my home.
You get the SEC loan.
But I can buy that much more.
We're kind of like mixing metaphors here, but I would like to short that stock.
I do not think that that is happening.
Really? I look, I two wins is hard. He's, he's an okay putter.
He's an absolutely like unbelievable driver and great iron player.
Short games, a little dodgy, but I just,
you got to putt really well to win twice on tour.
Putters getting better, getting better. We'll see. I love it. Listen, I would love it. TC,
no one would love it as much as you, but I would be in line for that ticket as well.
I would say, well, you're not because you know, but in terms of enthusiasm, but I just,
I'm shorting the stock because that's what my financial advisor told me to do.
I'm buying one. He wins once and I have a very specific one which we'll get to,
but I'm not buying multiple. I took him as my first pick in our inaugural winners draft because
I think he's going to win a bunch this year. He's playing a bunch of these limited field
siggy's. And he likes to play like a lot too. He's not just going to play those. He's going to play
some regular events as well.
I'm in. I'm buying it. Whatever's left over that TC hasn't bought yet already, I'll buy.
Who's up? Neil, you want to go? Sure. What's one tournament you guys are buying for 2025 that you
think needs more love, more shine? TC, let's go to you. you For me it is the valspar I
Think it's it's just kind of one of those events that like with more guys showing up
To play a lot of these non-signature events kind of the the middle
market guys
I don't know. I think that's a tournament that it's a ball strikers golf course. You can't fake it around there. You got some of those those
Packard as Larry Packard double dog legs there
It is I really really like that golf course and I don't think it gets quite it's due
On tour D's get Rodney barber on the phone. I need to I need to I
tour. Deeds get Rodney Barber on the phone.
Might need to.
Might need to.
I am going to say, Neil, it's a good question.
I'm going to say this is an easy, easy answer probably, but in full transparency, NLU is
going to be on site at this event doing work for ourselves.
But I will say the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am because we got kind of shafted last year out
of what I think was going to be an epic final round.
No, is that what you were saying too?
Yes, because exactly the same thing.
Like the signature event, we were super hyped for it last year and the final round got rained
out.
I mean, listen, that could happen again this year.
Sure.
I don't think it got rained out.
It got blown out.
It got blown out.
Sorry. Just like when I was driving around, trees are falling down everywhere. It got blown out. It got blown out. Blown out.
Sorry.
Just seeing that we're driving around, trees are falling down everywhere.
It was a harrowing scene out there.
But that is a special place when you got the best players in the world out there.
Well, and the tournament made such a conscious decision to say, we're going to focus on the
golf.
We're getting rid of the amateurs on day four or day three and day four.
And we are just gonna focus on like
the best players in the world on one of the best golf courses in the world and
we just yeah we didn't quite get to be I kind of teased last year didn't really
get to see it so I think this year is gonna be a return to form what Vig was
gonna vaporize I think so too final round I think so too
okay I would a little bit contradict TC's statement there that when it was
a good vaporize after just shooting shooting 60 in the third round.
But is that again?
How hard it is to follow a 60?
It is tough to follow a 60.
I mean, you don't know.
I don't know.
Yeah. I'm going to go to the Travelers.
I like the Travelers.
It's a fortunate spot this year behind the US Open, but I like the energy of the place.
This is going to seem like my portfolio is way heavy on Keegan stock, but I just feel in general like the Travers is
a good vibe. It's a good finishing stretch. It's got that sort of amphitheater thing in
the last three holes there. Would love to see the Travers.
God, and the climate protest was the highlight of my 23rd and 24th season. That was so freaking
sick.
Well, I feel like we got to do the flip side of this. This
question as well. What is one tournament you're kind of
selling stock on Neil?
I mean, Bay Hill, no offense to Mr Palmer or to anyone but or
or maybe offense to Orlando but I just Bay Hill does not do it
for me. They'll crank the greens to like all their stupid at 29, you know
It's just it's like he's guys are falling over trying to put their putters down on the ground
They hill is where like when they firm it up
That's where it's like I'm all set here like the 17th green like lands on the front all one loves that shit though
I just eat the bay hill just it's a weird part of the calendar where
I almost need to catch my breath from the West coast. It's a let down for me from coming
off the West coast. And it's just like, you know, I know it's not the first Florida tournament
of the year, but you know, Honda doesn't really count and I don't even know if it exists anymore.
So I need to be more cognizant. You're right. Uh, but Bay Hill just,
it's, it's, it's almost like, yeah, kind of a signature emeritus.
It's just, it's just in there cause you know, of mr Palmer and I get why,
but like the golf course doesn't do it to me. And it just,
it's a bit of a, um, an off week for me.
Fun place to watch superstars. I mean,
it's fun when tiger Scotty or Rory
or someone is doing stuff, but outside of that,
it's a little tough.
No offense to our guy, Matt Avery.
Those years were fun for different reasons.
And Robert Gomez.
Robert Gomez, things of that nature.
Neil, I'm gonna say on this one,
catch me in six months, I might feel a little different.
We'll see what happens, but I don't know how I feel about the Ryder Cup this year. I feel like golf
course that is not my favorite to watch. I think the Ryder Cup, part of this is
just because the Ryder Cup stock is like incredibly high. And you know I feel like
it was pretty epic Ryder Cup in Italy. And it feels like it might be a little bit of a let down.
A lot of the money talk.
I kinda, I don't know.
I don't know.
Just a little nervous about it.
That's all.
Okay.
Wow, strong take.
TC, what do you got?
A lot of different directions.
I was gonna say the players,
but I'm gonna see how that goes this year. I was gonna say the players, but I'm gonna see how that goes this year
I was gonna say the Phoenix Open, but again, we're gonna see how that goes this year. It's on it's on watch
It's on the watch list right now
Guys, we're gonna say the PGA Championship
Because I think the PGA and the truest
Need to be flip-flopped
The PGA needs to be at Philly Cricket Club and the truest needs to be flip-flopped. The PGA needs to be at Philly Cricket Club and the truest needs
to be at Quail Hollow. It would be really fun if that was the case. I just don't understand why we're
even having this conversation right now. Could Philly Cricket Club host the infrastructure
stuff though? Probably not, but at some point, I don't know. I don't feel like the PGA has,
I don't know. I just I don't feel like I don't feel like the PGA has
It's got less of an identity than it did three or four years ago. Okay, I
Agree, I I will say I'm willing to read revisit some of my older takes on quail hollow after watching
President's Cup and watching the tournament a little closer the last couple years. I'm like, ah, actually there's some good stuff that it'll probably. It'll be pretty fun, but. I'm just tired of it, right?
I'm with you.
I'm with you.
And on the flip side, props to the tour for going to Philly Cricket for the truest.
That'll be a great venue.
All right.
We got live golf starting on TV in about 10 minutes here, so let's move on to our fan
duel segment.
We've done these preview shows in the past where we've always kind of made a lot of plays.
We've got a lot of different stuff that we like to track.
We're going to do it a little bit different this year.
Neil, you want to explain what we're going to do?
Yeah, we're going to track one outright winner for every signature event, majors.
So the 18 shows that we're doing, these happy shows, it's gonna be a one and done though.
So you can only pick them once.
And this was, you know, we know Solly would game it
and just pick Scotty every week.
So yeah, one and done.
So you can only pick Scotty once.
That's what the data would tell him to do.
So that's what he would do.
So we'll be tracking a one and done,
but we're also gonna make,
I think three to four other picks each week, which will be live on Fandual.
And so if you would like to, uh, to play alongside the Beluga, you can do that.
Uh, stick your neck on those plays out on the, uh, Fandual site.
This week's a little different because of the new year was kind of a condensed
week, so this will all kind of kick off with, um, uh, probably Genesis week is,
is the first time we'll really start the season-long one and done stuff
So for this week's picks, we're gonna instead do some some yeah looking at the full season
What do you like from the Masters odds? What do you like from some of the other odds?
Who wants to go first Kev? You want to you want to lead us off?
Yeah, I went with look. I'm not a
KVV stick your fucking neck out brother. Keegan Bradley is gonna win the Masters plus I'm not a big game. Stick your
neck out, brother. Keegan Bradley is going to win the
Masters at plus 22,000. Listen,
the odds are just too good.
220 to one. Yeah, it's it's I
was looking at like, look, he's
finished like in the top 25
twice. So like there's a, you
know, it's not like he's playing
his neck out. That's actually sticking your neck out and I like it uh Brooks is absolutely gonna win Oakmont uh that is you can
just put that at the bank right now he's gonna he's racking that up it's not financial drive
yeah and then uh John Rahm is gonna win the open at Port Rush it's time for Rahm to get back into
the mix the the true Rahm is gonna return this year uh he's he's kind of over whatever you know the That doesn't make a lot of sense. Where'd you go, dude? Well, who's your outright winner this week, KVV?
My outright winner this week is Tony Finau.
Figure, you know what?
A lot of birdies out there.
Guys got to make a bunch of birds.
That's 300 through 5.
Just eagle 5.
He's bringing the whole fam out.
For the record, we locked these before play kicked off today.
We do.
We did.
So I'm just going to get out in front of that right now.
I picked Patrick Cantlay to win. He do. Oh, we did. So I'll just, I'm just going to get out in front of that right now. I picked Patrick Cantlay to
win. He's in last place right now.
That's really fun because he's actually historically played pretty well out here
at Hopalua. So that's tough.
It just physically just can't relax. Aloha vibes are just not.
The Beluga's off to a hot start. What would expect anything different?
I mean, it's one or zero though, right? You're just trying to pick the winner So it's like second last or and you're trying not to waste someone too. Yeah
I mean, you know can't lay feels like maybe maybe I could have found a better spot for him, but
I feel like I've seen them, you know in the top five top ten out here a few times
Maybe I gotta get up that up. He's new nickname. That might be a good name for Keegan.
All right.
For my season long plays, I've got Xander winning the Masters.
I feel like the monkeys off his back in majors.
He's played well at Augusta many, many times and it just feels like, you know, the guys
kind of, you know, the guys kind of, you know, the mini Terminator.
And you know what? I kind of consciously didn't pick Scotty for any of these
because like instead of saying odd subject to change, it should just be like
Scotty will win, you know, like just being irrelevant. Yeah, it's not really fun to
to discuss Scotty winning. I've got Ludwig winning at Oakmont. I feel like
with how Strati drives it, TC, with how like, I don got Ludwig winning at Oakmont. I feel like with how straight
he drives it TC with how like, I don't know, even keely is, I feel like that's going to be a very
difficult golf course. And I feel like he will, will, uh, excel there. Now I know the short game
is a question. Does he putt it well enough? But I just feel like he keeps it between the mustard
and Mayo and, uh, I could see him winning the U S open this year at Oakmont. And then I have
to Mayo and I could see him winning the US Open this year at Oakmont. Then I have young Tom Kim, this is my Eli Lilly pick of like, yeah, I guess, fine, Zempik's
going to blow.
The weight lot, the GLP ones are blowing up.
I feel like he's going to win the Open at Port Rush.
I don't think there's enough beers in all of Northern Ireland to soothe TC if young
Tom Kim were to beat out Tommy for the Open Championship.
I've already penciled Tommy in for the open.
That's such a soul, when I was like, God, you know,
because my problem with gambling is I like to pick
from the heart and that's not how you should do it.
It should be unemotional.
Like, do I want Tom Kim to win the open?
No, but I think his game sets up pretty well for it.
KVV, kind of like your Brooks pick for the US Open,
is like, I don't wanna pick that. That that's no I don't really want that to happen, but it's probably gonna happen
All right. We're running short on time TC. What do you got? Yeah, I got wills ala Taurus to win the Masters plus 3800
He's coming out firing today. I think he's I think I'm buying up all the wills ala Taurus
Stock that I can find this year. I've got Colin Morikawa
When the US Open I think I'm bullish on more collar this year. I think he's
He's an elite elite iron player. I think that's and accurate driver the golf ball
It's gonna play well at Oakmont. I got Tommy to win the open obviously
You know, I'll be shocked if it doesn't happen.
Obviously, you know, play I think he got runner up there last time around.
And then my play this week, a little bit linksy, a little bit windy, ball on the ground.
Big shot Bob.
I know he's a he's a first time he's a debutant at the at Kapalua.
His shirt.
I mean, he's already he's already already looking good
was the most like just financial advisor on vacation at a conference type of
shirt I've ever seen a Maui timeshare guy right here week one I'll take week
one in Maui there we we go. Good stuff.
There you have it folks.
You know what?
And I don't know if we're getting odds or not,
but big shot Bob at 35 to one this week.
Take it, you know?
That is solid.
A couple of outright winner picks.
We had Solly picking Morikawa this week.
We had Randy picking JT.
I don't think the JT one is doing so good,
but I will pick up on the Colin Moore Cowell
one because that was also my pick. I believe he's 500
through 13 or something like that. He's definitely gonna
win this week. So you just don't think no flub chip a
couple years ago and he wins it right? That's that's behind
him. My other picks for the year. I had Xander to win the
Masters. I was like you Neil. I I didn't really want to take Scotty
even though he surely is going to probably win a third one in a row, but I will take
Xander to win the Masters. I'll take Rory to win the PGA at Quail Hollow, which feels
like another kind of set it and forget it type of thing. And I'm going to go against
the, I'm going to pick the underdog team Europe plus 155 to win the Ryder Cup on foreign soil.
I think that streak ends.
I'm just guys, I'm not loving what I'm seeing from team USA,
which we can unpack on a future episode.
Anything else TC?
I know you're gonna be at the Waffle House next week.
We wanted to mention that.
I don't know how you'll be.
This week.
Oh, this week.
This Saturday, office hours with TC. I don't know if you wanna say which. Please, if you're in the area, go say hi with TC. I don't want to say you're in the area.
Go say hi to TC.
People can probably make their best guests.
Yeah.
Beach Boulevard, Jacksonville Beach.
I'm planning on getting there on 5 a.m.
Lauren, Lauren Coughlin, Juan Pond are rolling through.
They're going to come visit me.
Anybody else is welcome.
You got you want to you want to come come in.
Come talk shop with TC, talk some
shit with TC, whatever you want to do, come through. And just to confirm TC has 25 hours
because Tommy did not win the open in 2024. So he said he thinks he can get it down to 17 hours.
He feels like he can eat eight waffles
He waffles in a span of of 16 17 hours feels very doable. We shall see I encourage everyone to follow at Ron Carter
