Amongst the rubble you found a damaged drill car that you were able to get running. Once inside you realized that this was a fire-giant vehicle complete with an unfamiliar interface and a bottle of dip spit.

The amount of times I thought about dip spit seems to have been so, it's almost too much and also not an interesting time for a sense. I knew it was going to carry you over. Yeah, it's just, like, is the dip spit fat full, half full or half empty? Hopefully, hopefully half empty. And which one is good? In normal cases, I have empty, but you guys for some reason love tips me. That's just the way it is. God bless, God will for saying that specific.

As you carved through the mountain in your rumbling drill car, you began to pick up other vehicles on your radar and receive messages that you couldn't understand. After attempting to respond with emojis, you instead decided to wait for one to catch up, but the giant attacked you once he realized you were small folk who had stolen one of their vehicles. After a strange bizarre fight, the only way to describe it, it's just absolute bizarre. That saw Callie enlarge herself in his driver's seat

and both Saul and hard one independently scare him. We all have a frightening of the whole of it. You were so fucking scary. You were able to convince him to stop fighting and cough up some information. He told you that some of his allies had clashed with some of your allies while going after the serpent, afterwards he got in his vehicle and drove off. You continued on your drive, but ditched your vehicle after crashing it through an enormous

hole that was caused by the serpent's path. As you feather fell to the bottom, you could hear distant groaning. When you investigated, you found a dying fire giant named Rictus, who better explained the clash between the giantsants and Jaina and her crew. The Giants like Mother Ship had stolen tech from the automaton in the mountains, and were also planning on using a Force Cage capsule to capture the serpent. However, when they came upon the dwarves, the two sides squabbled, and Jaina challenged the leader to single combat, when it became clear that Jaina was going to win

the cowardly giant used the force cage capsule on her. This caused an uproar between the opposing sides and some derision amongst the giants who saw the victory as dishonorable. During the commotion, the two sides were attacked by the serpent and separated by a caven. The only person that dying giant had seen in the past day was a

young Dorven Squire. You asked if he had any messages to pass on and he said to tell the giants to not trust Ultras. Who currently has the ear of a young, brazen fire giant king. After Saul helped Rictus pass on peacefully, he sensed that the dwarven squire was in trouble up ahead and he has the deep thought. At the ready, waiting for a... It's good, go. Jaina's sidekick and Kruggen's daughter being hounded by a mothership drill jet. You launched into action with hard one, throwing a javelin at the vehicle, Kali commandeering the controls, and saw rushing off to intercept Kenna. Just as Kali was about to crash the vehicle, she was suddenly attacked by swag Daniels, who reminded her that he had warned her not to get in his way, and that's where we are now. Okay, so you are all in this huge cavern that looks like it's one of the many burrowing grounds of

the serpent. There are dozens of tunnels shooting off from this central dome. The mothership drill jet is this floating vehicle with thrusters that push it in different directions. It has attached drills and two side cars in addition to the central helm that hosts the pilot. In the pilot seat is a goblin currently under the command spell by Callie to gravel. I'm gobbling, I am. I want you to drive the plane.

I want you to drive the jet. I want you to drive the jet. And in the two side cars, in separate compartments, are the bronze beard siblings, Bronra and Mortis. Bronra, you have some history with. Mortis, you saw very briefly at Lay Lantern. Swag Daniels has appeared in the cockpit from the passenger hold and is going after Callie. But before we settle that, Callie, you have

commandeered the controls. You used your movement and your face step. Would you like to, I'll say it was like a free interaction to just kind of like grab the controls. The question is, would you like to crash the vehicle this turn while you're inside or would you like to wait until next turn when you could maybe escape? I think that I'd like to give myself around to try to speak to swag. Okay. I'd like to be...

We can just crash everything he's in, right? It's very erratic to be like, please, listen to me. We're on your side. Yes, I'm crashing a plane. It's like that. Crash me once. Shame on you.

Just so everyone remembers, Bronra was speaking over some kind of intercom, trying to get Kenna to get into the ship, saying like we can't leave you in the caves alone. So Bronra is not being super menacing in front of swag.

She's just saying like you need to come with us. We can't just leave a random squire of Iron Deep in the caves here. So all swag sees is you after having cut a cable car loose. Just fly into the cockpit, cast a spell on the goblin, and grab the controls, and swag go, what is your actual deal? So, okay, instead of trying to crash the ship, can I try to like navigate it up to sort of like give some space to Kenna?

Okay, so the top of the round is swag. He has the highest initiative, so swag is going to, but as you start to explain yourself after grabbing this chat to him, this goes, I to explain yourself after grabbing this chat, it just goes, I don't know what your deal is, but I don't like it. I know, I'm making a horrible first and second impression. His first attack is a 25 to hit. Keep talking, Callie.

He's predisposed to like you. I'm, it's a 25 to hit shield. Wouldn't even help me. Okay. So, you take the first hit, and you did a do a con saving throw. OK. Oh, boy.

That's a net one. OK, so this is not a stunning strike swags. Fights in a slightly different way than saw, because they were kind of trained differently. So you see that. Yeah, he inflates his fist and punches you with a liver shot, and you gain a level of exhaustion. So he punches you and you instantly begin gasping

and having trouble breathing and keeping your breath, and he goes and takes another strike. And on the second one, that's a 23 to hit. That hits. Okay, goes for a follow-up attack. Go ahead and give me another consaving throw. Okay. Oh boy.

Well, you're not out this fight. His, these are not regular levels of exhaustion where you're having to cure them with a long rest.

This is, he's fighting like a boxer or something where he's like injuring you and then following up with flurries, you can recover one level of exhaustion at the end of your turn. Okay. So provided he doesn't do this to you like three or four times in a round,

like you're not completely fucked, but he's absolutely messing you up right now. He has also done 23 damage so far with the two hints. This is a cool homebrew man, I hate it. And he goes, this is a more fun mechanic than stunned, right? I actually, it is! That's a really good call! Yeah, I mean, it's super sick.

I just wish he was on our side. Last hit is a 14. My say! Okay, so, Kelly, you get hit by two body shots with swag Daniels enormous fists. You lower your hands instinctively to block yourself, but then as he goes to hit you with a right hook across the face, you're able to lift your swords up

and sort of block his bracer as sparks come off and you guys are kind of wrestling there. We need to talk about this. What do we need to talk about? We're here to stop the service. Look, I know I haven't earned your trust, but just let me please. You have to even come closer to my trust.

You guys begin to feel the entire cavern begin to rumble as the serpent seems to be burrowing closer. You hear louder, sort of sonic waves getting closer to you. Rocks rain down from the ceiling and stalagite fall like spears.

Everybody go ahead and give me deck saving throws. Actually, Kelly, you don't have to give me one because you are inside the vehicle. Yeah. You're out. Oh, that's an actual 20. Yeah. Okay, salt. You jump out of the way.

You see, Kenna was going to do one of her diving roles that she's been doing between each rock as she's avoiding the jets and she goes to accidentally dive under like a very dangerous jagged stalagite and you just not only do you save yourself but you tackle her out of the way. Come my squire.

Whoa, hey, who's the squire now, right? You still? I got a 14. 14 is going to fail, unfortunately. Hard one, you take damage from some debris, you take 13 damage. Oh, yeah, I could have been your squire. Yeah, hard one watches that and just a rock

comes down and hits him in the head. The ship is going to roll with disadvantage. So all of them also take 13 damage. After the lair action, that's initiative 18. That is hard one. Hard one, you have already done some damage to Bronra's side of the ship, and you hear her over the intercom go,

yeah, I'm gonna have to ask you the same question that swag asked, which is, what is all of your actual deals, right? Did you not get the attachment where we explained our deals? Right, I didn't. So, because you just, I see you're all wearing kind of different armory of helmets on, but you're all kind of the same shape. Why don't you land the drill plane and we'll, we'll huddle a lot in real life.

Probably not going to do that, right? What are we huddling? We got a huddle. Right, last time we tried to huddle, lot. Yeah, probably not gonna do that, right? What do we huddle? We got a huddle. I mean, you can use, it's essentially difficult terrain, so you can like run up the wall 15 feet and jump your strength. Like, your strength is exactly. Yeah, that's exactly what I want to do. You do exactly that.

So there are essentially three pods. There's a center pilot one that Callies in right now, and then there's one with Bordis and one with Bronro. Cool. I want the one with Bronro. Great. I think we've talked this to death. And we're negotiating from two points that are a little too far apart.

So let's just call it. Yeah, I think maybe it's not going to work out, right? Yeah. Why don't we just try to kill each other after all? We might have to let you go. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Let's thumbs up that. Hard one goes and sprints up the wall.

It's like in three huge leaps, gets like 15 feet up into the air and then dives off and latches on to the bubble of a Bronros like side compartment. And hard one, you can take your turn, that's your movement. Yes. Okay.

I'm gonna make an attack on the glass. Great. That is a dirty 20 to gonna make an attack on the glass. Great. That is a dirty 20 to hit. Dirty 20 does hit. I guess I'll take two attacks. Great. And that is a Nat 20 on the second. Wow!

Wow! Yeah, hard one. Gets on top of it. Just, you don't even use your hands. You feet plant on both sides of the protective bubble over her and then just slash down into it with your ax twice. And that is 36 damage. Wow. To the glass.

Ooh. Glass can't handle that. Okay, I did that to a mirror. Yeah. Can I do a little perception check to see if there's any like dips bit in the cup holder? You see that she's drinking mothership dip. We're getting in there. Oh, mother dip.

Mother dip. It, ship, dip. It's pure fiberglass. Hard one, I will say she has this protective thing on, but with a Nats 20, you shatter the glass, and the next time you could potentially hit her directly, you see Chi reacts with like complete surprise as the axe goes through. Okay, yeah, I guess we're so beta testing this one, right?

Okay. Yeah, you're gonna wanna send that back to the shop because I am gonna action surge. Yeah. That's a 19 to hit and another dirty 20 to hit. Both hit. That is 21 damage to Bronra. Sweets.

You see, Bronra is pretty hardy and a pretty capable fighter. So you see that you slash into her twice, but she lightning fast pulls out this like electro rod melee weapon and begins like fighting you off. You do manage to slash her twice, but she's in this fight with you. All right. Nice.

So that is the pilot's turn. The pilot spends this turn groveling. I'm groveling. I love to grovel. You really take to it. Yeah, truly. Do you guys know each other? As you were fighting swag.

I've basically made a really bad impression and I'm trying to turn it into a friendship. Yeah, it seems weird. I know. I'm kind of off putting at first, I think. I don't know. I like you. Obviously, I like you too.

What's Mortis doing? Mortis is sitting inside his capsule. I kind of let my sister do the talking for me. Yeah. Okay, is he like preparing any actions? Is he like, he's like, punching on the console? He's hearing anything. He looks like he's punching on the console, yeah.

I want to try and just like, limit everyone's actions as much as possible. So first of all, I'm going to turn to Kenna. Okay. See, do you have any way to fire at range on this ship? It is within your right to acquire from the squire. I do not have anything particularly good that's ranged. I do have a heavy crossbow, but I've only done crossbows one to one,

so I am not heavily proficient in crossbows, but I am very helpful. I also have squire inspiration, so I can help you. Okay, with inspiration, I also have four greater healing potions. I'll be that I'd be happy to apply. Okay, I get those things ready to go. I'm going to inspire my squire with a desire for you to learn how to use this bolt pistol. I whip it out, cock it and hand it to her.

All right, I also take in both pistols, what it was. All right, time for a little practical education. I say to cannot cover me. And then before I move, I'm going to try and use my hour of reaping. Okay, I want to try and just scare basically everyone in the cockpit. Got you.

Okay, so you use your movement, run forward. It does not count as turn, so she cannot follow you yet. So you see, she's just looking at the blaster gun. I don't remember using this particular bottle, necessarily, but just take out the safety and you'll figure out the rest. And salt, yeah, you use your movement, you run up to the ship.

So yeah, maybe I'll focus on one of them. Great, so yeah, what I wanna do, is I wanna kinda sonic the Hedgehog, run along the wall, so yeah, maybe I'll focus on one of them. Great, so yeah, what I wanna do is I wanna kinda, Sonic the Hedgehog run along the wall, like flip up. And like as I'm in the air, I do like a couple of spins and then my eyes flare and my face turns into a skull and I wanna try and scare Mortis. Okay.

And then I wanna land on the ship and then with the rest of my movement, I'm gonna use a bonus action step of the win. I'm gonna jump up again and hide amidst this stalactites so that I can get some self. Sick. Yeah, you jump down Mortis goes, oh, um, swag, your little brother's weird. He makes what kind of save? This is going to be a, uh, wisdom save. Plus one to wisdom. That's just a nine. So fails. Okay, so Mortis is frightened. Mm-hmm. Frightened creature has disadvantage on ability checks and attack rolls while the source of its fear is within line of sight

Okay, so you want to hide actually yeah, I guess I'll just just hang on the wing hang on the yeah Swag why does this version of you kind of um, why can I see his skull? I do the thriller dance I Don't know what any of their deals are. After Saul's turn, that actually is Mordus' turn, Mordus is going to have disadvantage on everything. But you do see that him and his sister both wearing these like matching blusur coats with way too many straps. They're both in these side-cars that suddenly break off from the main helm. And while the center station loses its weapons and becomes more of a transport vehicle,

the two side compartments, piloted by Bronra and Mortis detach and begin unfolding to reveal new robotic limbs. You see these mothership mechsuits that hover with thruster shooting flames out of the bottoms of their feet, but hard one is on brahras. Saul is on mortises and mortis is scared. So you see him without looking at where he's going, just goes, oh, get off. And is going to take attacks with the mexuit, trying to just slap Saul away from his windshield.

Can you attack when he's frightened? Yeah, you go to his advantage. Oh, yeah, he's been. 15 to hit on the first attack. This is a Slaps Saul, you're able to roll out of the way. Shout out to the two crew on the second attack. Takes a second Fist attack. And actually his next two attacks have to be with his feet.

And he, I think, does not want to hurt Kenna necessarily, but is going to try to essentially grapple her. So you see, this giant mech foot goes down and tries to pin Kenna down. Hey, ah, look at me. Look at me. Call that roll. And Kenna gets a better athletics check.

So yeah, all that stuff does get out of the way. She is able to roll out of the way as the foot comes slamming down. You see dust and rocks kick up after mortises turn. That is Cali's turn. Okay. At the start of your turn, you still have your two levels of exhaustion. Yeah.

Okay. What I want to do is I want to bonus action channel divinity. So my emissary of peace to give myself a bonus to charisma checks. OK. And then I'm just going to try to level with swag. OK. Swag, you want to know what our deal is, right?

Correct? Yes. OK. Our deal is that these people are trying to use this creature the way that mothership used you. They basically want to harness it and mass produce its power. I have been tasked with getting this creature back to the plane from when it was born. And so I'm just really, really, my entire deal is getting to that creature and getting

it out of any chance of being used by anyone on this plane. Go ahead and give me a persuasion check. Okay, so I haven't used my action yet, and yeah, so okay, it ability check, it's gonna be with disadvantage, right? Correct. Yeah, yeah.

A 19 and a 16. Wow! And I rolled the two dice that gave me not ones, too. So a 16 plus 14, that's a 30. Ha ha ha! Okay. Because of my emissary of peace, that's why it becomes a 40. Really good, really convincing.

I'm not, I'm not asking you to attack them. I'm just asking you to not attack me. You see Swag, who was just kind of engaged in combat with you, kind of backs off and goes but why that I know I know patina Glenn bottle was was bad but the broad spears have been very good to me this is we're we're saving I told you that this animal is really really scared would you want them to put it in a cage or not I'm giving an option to get rid of the animal that doesn't involve putting it in a cage, you see Swag pulls out a little capsule thing. It would appear that not only do the

giants have one, but Mother Ship still has one. It looks like the giants got one independently. And your mind flashes back to that moment when you guys saw the fire giants enter their layer in the mountains and you saw they had automaton parts. So they did the same thing the mothership is doing. But you see that swag holds out the device and goes, I don't want to hurt anyone or anything, but this can stop the serpent from destroying iron deep. But I'm telling you that we can do that without

inflicting harm on the serpent. I'm not asking you to turn on your friends Which by the way they're not your friends because I can hear people's thoughts and that guy fucking What do you mean you hear people's thoughts? It's magic. It's more than a magical world. It's called the take-off. I know. I know. I know. I know I'm throwing crazy on the end But really all I'm trying to say is please just don't attack me. I'm not asking you to attack Bronra or Mortis. Yeah, a swag. We've kind of known you a lot longer. So you kind of not helping while we fight each other

is kind of, it's own act of aggression, right? Ha ha ha. I'll save you from them. What do you mean, save me from them? They're right. Yeah, they're pretty quick to turn on you, huh? Everybody's laughing at their friends. You see, swag. You saw him before there was,

Kenna is going to run over and as an action, give a greater healing potion to heart one. He requires the squire. Mr. Shorfoot, do you require the squire? I am quite tired, so I do require the squire, yes.

She heals you for 20. Oh, beautiful. I have a second potion that I can administer as a bonus accident if you would like, but it will be a little bit bit shakier because I'm trying to feed you two potion the woods. Hey, I never say no to a healing potion. Let's double it up. Right.

Just an absolute wreckage and smoke. And behind it is a burrowing serpent, a gargantuan bronze beast with dirt-caped scales. Each one the size of a human body. The face is just open-maw with rows and rows of sharp teeth that can shoot through stone.

The serpent shrieks sending sound waves and tremors through the cave. You cannot see the end of this thing. It is only the front of it. As this thing enters the cave, everybody give me deck saving throws. Ah! Right. God damn, shout out to the two crew. Okay.

24. Okay, 23. Okay, hard one. You badly roll your ankle and take nine damage. Shit! Kenna, why'd you trip him? What? I would never do that. I would never do that.

And with a 23 Swag makes it out you see see, Swag is briefly swallowed. Looks like he's gone as this thing burrows inside one side of the cavern and the other side. And you just hear from deep inside the cavernous worm. You just hear, as he runs up it before he can be digested and dives out. But does take 20 damage.

All right. And you see, yeah, he rolls right next to you, Saul, and does kind of like a double take looking over at you. I don't have to worry about you, too. Do I? No, no, no. Just keep moving and we'll get through this. All right, I don't know what all of your deal is.

So if you are, you know, you can speak with animals and stuff like that, you can do a persuasion or an animal handling check on it, and the DC is half the damage it took from the last attack of the round. It's essentially like a reverse concentration check. If it wasn't attacked, the DC is a flat 10.

You're essentially trying to burn through this thing's legendary resistances. Yeah. To try to get this thing to chill the fuck out. Okay, so I'm walking up to it and I'm saying, Hello, my name is Collide Pepetra-Core, your mother sent me to retrieve you. Okay, I know that you haven't met her, but she loves you all the same.

And you see the serpent goes from writhing and trying to wreck this entire cavern to kind of slowing down a little bit and looking at you kind of curiously. It has, it's very hard to anthropomorphize this thing because it's literally just, its head is just like a maw, but you see it begins to point at you in a way that is not overly aggressive and you have burned through one of its legendary resistances. Okay. Do what you need. I'll still be here. After Callie's turn, that is Bronras turn.

Fuck. You see she rolls out and just starts blasting with a bolt pistol right in its mouth. Did I use a bonus action? I don't think so. So I'm using a second level spell. Yeah, Cali, you cast shield of faith as you see Bronra rolls from behind the rocks and goes, yeah, talking to this thing is really gonna solve the fucking problem. oh, of the gun? Yes. Yes. Yes, you can. Yes, God, that's badass. This is sneak attack. Let's not anchor the, let's not anchor the thing, right? It's already pretty scared.

She does roll a, a 22 to hit you. That does it. And that is going to be with her sneak attack. 32 damage, hard one. Okay. Oh, Kenna, you got more of those potions. Of course I have more potions, but that's that Betty Boer. All right.

I will use my bonus action for a second win, so I can heal myself a little bit. Great, yeah. Hard one, you stand in between Bronra and the Serpent. As she blasts away some of your armor and some of your beard appears out from under your helm, Bronra looks at you and goes, I suspected it, but I couldn't have imagined you'd really come back to Iron Debard one short foot. After what you did to our family, you got my cousin killed. You might have everyone else around here fooled, but the bronzebeards know who you are. Yeah.

look at this, hard one breaks a pen. See, not that strong. Like, I don't really get the metaphor at all. So think about that, and yeah, class dismissed. It's just staked. You see, yeah, she takes off, and she is going to run towards Callie

and she has an ability where she can give a help action as a bonus action. Oh, that's gonna be huge. So she stands next to you, Callie. Oh, I stand in front of a, be careful. A squire always goes to stay behind. Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha. Okay.

And she stands near you and is going to use a bonus action to give you the help action. At the end of the round, that is Foster's turn. And he has put kind of a protective aura around you guys. And you remember the last time you guys dealt with a serpent that he was able to absorb some of the damage. So he's essentially concentrating on a spell that will stop you guys from getting killed. I'll give Foster. concentrating on a spell that will stop you guys from getting killed. I think he's a buster. And I will say now that foster sees that swag is kind of on the same side as Saul. Yeah.

He extends his radius to include swag. And you see swag glows with this red glow of foster. Feels good, doesn't it? Yeah, it's like a pillow on the inside. Yeah. It's from the baselines. Have you ever been there? No, never. It's a beautiful place. Swag. Frogs in there. The elder. You've bet elder frogs in? I did. That's how I learned how to do this.

I inflate my fist like him. Yeah, you see Swag inflates his fists as well. You have the only other one that's been able to do this. I know that looking at me is like looking in a cracked mirror that reminds you of every bad thing that's ever happened to you, but I've learned that you can't turn away from the connections in your life. As the worm does seem like it's calming down a little bit, it is looking at Callie and Foster with interest and confusion instead of aggression. But you see it is still wrecking shit, moving its body. It's gleaming with Starfire too, a shield of its mother's love. Starfire glows around the serpent and around a Kalipe after swags turn that is the serpent's turn. The serpent is going to, I'm gonna do essentially

a luck check to see if it still feels the need to like lash out and attack somebody. I'm gonna say on a one through a five, it'll attack and I'm going to roll it in front of the table. Okay. That is a 13. Yeah. So it does not attack.

All right. However, just the mere presence of this thing does cause some earthquakes and tremors. So I need Kaliope and Kenna that are close to it. Are gonna need to do deck saving throws or take a little bit of damage from like falling and shifting rocks. That's a nine. Okay, that is 10 damage to both of you guys. As you guys are pelted with rocks, you see Kenna throws her hands up and blocks a bunch of them. And I failed my concentration check. So when that happens, the shield of faith goes away. Oh, yeah.

Shield of faith goes away. The shimmering starfire around the serpent drops. And you see this thing has still lost one of its legendary resistances, but is kind of starting to look like confused and kind of looking around. After the serpent's turn, that is Hard One's turn. So Hard One, you've just been blasted by Bronra's bolt pistol and she is hiding right now.

Yeah, and I have no trust in my soul for a bronze beard. So I'm just gonna put my head on a swivel and I'm gonna hold my action. And I kind of want to focus away from the serpent and what's going on and keep an eye out for Bronra. Great. Okay. Hard one keeps his axe high, looks around the rocks. After hard once turned, that's the pilot's turn, pilot still in the ship. If anybody wants to get out, I way I could drive away.

Keep traveling. Okay. I think this spells over, but I'll travel. After the pilot's turn, that is Saul's turn. Can I do a quick survey? How hurt are my companions? Because we still have potions on our side of things. Yeah, Kenna has one potion left. She's gonna keep an hard one up. Yeah, she's been keeping me hearty too.

I'm feeling pretty good. You're good, okay. Yeah, I'm fine, okay, too. Okay, I was just wondering if I should use a bonus action, tongue potion whip, but I think I'll hold onto that. I? You have definitely good actually. Yeah, you just see a saliva covered potion,

shaking it up with my tongue. No dips bit, unfortunately. Just pure saliva. And that's why I'm passing. I think I'm just gonna take a page from hard one. I think SQUAG and I are going back to back. Swhags facing towards Bronra. I'm facing towards Mortis just trying to walk down

every possibility. Rad. After Saul's turn, that is Mortis' turn. Mortis does jump forward to act and attack the worm. Uses the thrusters on the mech suit. You see Swhag has prepared an action. So Swag and Saul, I'll say if you guys want to take it at attacks on Mortis,

you may do that. Oh fuck yeah, tag team. Yeah, Swag team. Swag team. I don't even know this was possible. Yeah, you see Mortis was being quiet kind of staying in the corner. Suddenly presses a button. You see the fists go up and prepare to shoot some kind of staying in the corner. Suddenly, presses a button.

You see the fists go up and prepare to shoot some kind of grenade weapon or something, but Saul and Swag are fucking on it, both jump up on the mech instantly and begin pounding down into it. Yes. 23 into 25. Both hit.

18 damage. 18 damage. Great. And then a little corrosive poison damage as well. So 20 damage actually. Nice. So between you and Swag, you guys pound down on the glass in front of Mortis' Mech suit and do a total of 51 damage.

The Mech suit begins making crazy sounds of bolt of electricity coming off of it as smoke flies off of it. Boop-O-To-Fo blast! The Boop-O-To-Fo, where does this guy come up with this stuff? Actually, I thought of it at the exact same time, I just didn't say it. Next time, let's say it together.

I think that would work cooler. You guys have like half the damage on his mech. Okay, so he's going to go ahead and do essentially what Bron Red did. You see he hits like an eject button for me once. And actually it wasn't there for that. You know what I mean? I kind of follow you heard it on the comms. I heard it on the comms. But you're a fool all the time. He's going to eject, jump back, take a bonus action hide, and his mech suit is going to explode. So I need a swag and salt to do deck saves.

That is the Serpent's turn again. The Serpent is going to roll first, and we'll say this time, even lower DC, just on a one through a four, it still feels the need to attack, and it doesn't, it gets a 12. So it doesn't, all right. But it does shake the ground as it moves around,

as there are tremors in here, and I need a calle and Kenneth to do saves. 18. Okay, Kenneth fails, but she's a- Very nice. Nine damage, but she's a hearty little squirer. She's got more health. She's okay.

Stay standing, even as you guys are pelted with rocks, after the serpent's turn, that is hard once turn. It elects, the serpent elects not to attack and continues to move down and investigate Cali like a curious animal. Hard one clocks that and keeps on prioritizing keeping an eye out for onward. Can I do a perception check just to see

if I can spot her somewhere? Yeah, you can do a perception check. That's an eight. Okay. She is gone. Okay. She is. She's gone. Okay. That is the pilot's turn. Again, guys, if we just I know it seems good now, but you guys are getting hit with rocks. Maybe we can get out of here. Yeah. Honestly, you can fly away. You have a line. If you're scared, I want you to feel safe. Yeah, you see the two higher ups at mothership

grab onto a stalactite again and do a quick survey. Great. Yeah, give me a perception check. Can I do this one with advantage again? Since I'm doing an action. That would be your action, yeah. 17. Okay, all right, you look around, you do not find Bronra. She's unfortunately very tricky, she is an arcane trickster. Oh shit. After Saul's turn, that is Mordus's turn. Look, everyone has looked for Bronra, has not been able to find her.

But you see that the siblings do a two-pronged attack. You see Bronra has cast some kind of spell, a major image. Hard one's shorefoot jumps out from behind one of the rocks and throws a lightning javelin at the serpent. At the same time, Mortis Bronzebeard rolls out from a nearby rock and does a sneak attack bolt pistol shot. I don't really look like that, do I? I think I have the quads all wrong. Can I jump in front of this bolt pistol attack? You did a perception check. I'm going to say you don't even know where Mortis is. this bolts pistol attack. You did a perception check.

I'm gonna say you don't even know where Mordus is. Oh, oh. I'm gonna say, yeah, you probably don't even know hard one how Bronra spell works, but you see a reflection of yourself jump out. Throw a javelin. You jump to get in front of that, and the illusory spear goes right through you

as Mordus manages to hit and do 35 damage to the Serpent. The Serpent has two extra AC. Still hits, he got a natural 19. He blasts into the side of the Serpent as it shrieks, and since it did not attack, it has a reaction prepared to attack. It is going to spring forward and go after what it perceives to be hard one's shorefoot as Bronra rolls back behind the rocks and take an attack on hard one.

Okay, that's fair. She's playing dirty. What have you done? You've compromised it all. 23 to hit hard one. That'll do it. The serpent blasts past Kali and Kenna and Foster throwing them to the side goes after hard one. Does 20 damage? That's already halfed.

It would be 40 damage. Go ahead and give me a dexterity saving throw as it tries to swallow hard one whole. You see it burrows where hard one once was. Oh boy. Oh, well, I haven't had a problem with dexterity saves today, have I? That is a 15. Hard one is swallowed and disappears. Don't worry about me, I've been in a serpent before.

Ha! Ha! Yeah, hard one, you fall beyond rose and rose and rose of teeth. It is a magical beast, so it doesn't have like stomach acid, but it has literal like rocks and stuff that it is mashing up inside of its body. That is effectively causing it to grow and expanding its scales.

So you are getting crushed inside of this thing's constricting body as it goes burrowing through the mountain. Um, I guess the only thing I can do is not try to flail or struggle as I'm swallowed. So, uh, it's the friendliest way I can go down for the survey. After Mordus' turn, Cali, that's back up to you. Okay, since I have speak with animals up, can I use command on the serpent? You can attempt to? I can't to. Fuck, I didn't want to use magic on him.

You see, foster flares his red eyes and perks up his feathers and begins flying towards the serpent. You're gonna go in there? Right. You're gonna get a hard one out? Right. You're gonna get a hard one out. Right. Okay, so I'm just gonna stay here trying to chip away at the anger of this creature. Right. Okay. Right. Godspeed. Right. Okay, goodbye. Right. Be so safe. Is it the other going to be okay?

Yeah, he's like entirely boneless and fully magic. A lot of our grenades are in there though. Uh, Foster gives you a little nozzle and flies towards the serpent's mouth. Okay, to the serpent, I'm going to say, I understand, okay, you're angry, that was trickery, don't believe them, they have nothing but lies to feed you. This world doesn't deserve you and I'm going to take you somewhere that does. Okay, you just need to trust me. This thing has taken damage this turn, so now the DC is 15. 21.

Kali, you managed to burn through another legendary resistance. You see it still has hard one swallowed, but begins spiraling around the cave. The thing's very confused. It's like a trapped animal that does see someone it recognizes getting ready to attack anyone, but you. Okay, okay. And then I'm gonna look at Saul, because my shield of faith is still up,

so I'm gonna give Saul a bar of inspiration and say you and Swag are fucking killing it. That's good. After Callie's turn, that is Bronras turn again. I'm going to have Saul roll this because he has the same stats for this as Swag. Okay. Bronra and Swag both have a plus nine to sleight of hand.

On Bronra's turn, seeing the serpent weakened and seeing Swag's confidence in mothership weakened is gonna roll out from behind a rock and attempt to grab the capsule from Swag to use it on the serpent. Shit. Okay. We call this a two-for-one deal at mothership. We're the only two-for-one deal around here. That's right! Ha! Swag goes to protect the capsule. Okay, roll off. So both have a plus nine so it's literally just whoever rolls higher on this roll. Fuck. I'm, I'm great at this.

So it's Merv. That's a 12 on mine. That's an 11. Oh, you're kidding me. Um, you have a bardic. Oh, wait, can I, I couldn't like transfer my bardic swag. Could I, um, clones with a mushroom and a little key?

Yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean, they, they share DNA. This is. DNA, Annie's got, and Saul is tapped in. We're in a mushroom and a tea. That's just so fun. I mean, they share DNA. This is. 99 times out of 100, I would say absolutely no fucking way. However, in this moment, when they are literally the two-fo, bufo. Crew-fo. Crew-fo. Saul, I'll say with your kind of mushroom abilities and you're tapping into the network, you do have sort of a sense of the things around you and everything, so you can even kind of feel swags movements

in a way that's maybe even beyond the fact that you guys just have the same kind of genetic makeup. So here's what we'll do, instead of just saying that that works, we're gonna do it down to roll. So let's just go ahead and do a full reroll. So essentially, Broner is gonna get another roll and you're gonna get another roll.

And that is how you burn your bardic inspiration. You essentially, you see through swags eyes, you feel as you move, as your like muscle twitch fibers are like activated, you see that his are as well, and he becomes aware of his situation as Bronra goes forward and makes the grab. Actually, I'll say I'm gonna leave Bronra's at a flat 12 because her thing stays exactly the same.

So you gotta be to flat 12. Alright. Yeah, I think like, as I see this happen, I tense up, maybe just like a tiny little mushroom appears in swags here. Let's see if it works. Pfft. It's not meant to be, buddy. Okay, another 11.

Saul, you feel this connection to Swag, but we got a long way to go, but you guys have a lot of catching up to deal. Just don't, if we can get to the next round, I can maybe neutralize it. Okay, Convra grabs the capsule and dives back into the rocks to hide, does not had to as an action go after Swag,

but is not able to throw it yet. Okay, just get that fucking head and woman out here. Alright, yeah. After Bronrous turn, that's Kenna's turn. Where do you all require a squire? Or the duck has come for me. We said our best man. You see, Foster, flies in and lands in your hands. And before was protecting the people on the outside,

but now is protecting you and you feel a red glow around you as you clutch onto Foster. I've always had a special relationship with birds, and I see you're no different. Foster looks at the necklace of Gaka, and it looks at you dubiously. He died of natural causes, but I don't know what that look is. At the top of the round, that is Swag's turn. Swag will use an action to try to find Bronra. Okay.

Natural eight. He's not going to be able to find her, even with a decent perception. So he's looking around, cannot find her. That is the Serpent's turn. I'm going to say that the Serpent is going to ready an action in case it gets attacked again, and I'll also roll, I'll say, on a one through a five,

it'll attack around a person. if not, I'll just wait till it's attacked. That's a 15. It just retts an action to attack, so it continues to rive and burrow through the cave here. After the serpent's turn, that is hard one's turn, hard one at the top of your turn, has rocks start to crush you, you would take an additional 25 damage, but instead you only take 12. As you feel the glow of foster begins pushing back against the rocks that are trying to press against you here. Finally, the birds are repaying me for all I've done for them. Consider your dead paid no food creature. I'm not gonna say that. I'm not gonna say that. I'm not gonna say that. I'm not gonna say that. I'm not gonna say that. I'm not gonna say that.

So I'm going to give you the base that you're trying to beat. I rolled a 10, that's a 17. If not, you stay inside the beast for another round, and you don't know this is happening, but you guys are watching with Bated Breath outside, because a Bronra manages to use the Force Cage capsule and capture the serpent, she will also have hard ones stuck inside, and foster.

Fuck. Alright, don't you worry, Bird. I'll get us out of here. also have hard ones stuck inside and foster. Fuck. All right. Don't you worry, bird. I'll get us out of here. Where? Oh. 23. What?

Yeah. Kali and Saul watching from the outside, starfire around the serpent, as you guys are trying to control it, you see hard one and foster suddenly burst from an avalanche of rocks inside the Singh's mouth as hard one combat rolls and lands again like he did when he was shard getting blasted out just lands amongst a bunch of debris on the ground. Try finding a pen that can do that.

Elations were true. Kenna salutes you. And I'm gonna say in order to do like an athletics check and like climb out, that is a full dash action. That's your action to get out. Okay, sweet. After hard ones turn, that is Saul's turn. Great, all right.

Me and Ken are. Oh, yeah, we're on the hunt. Okay, before we're saying you can just do a perception check as like a free action, you can do it with advantage as an action, but since you have Ken helping you, you can do this. If you find her, you can act. Sick.

Okay, I will tell you the number you're trying to beat is a 21. 21. All right, so I have advantage, free action, and a D for Kenna. And a D for Kenna. Awesome, I'm gonna roll everything all together. Get that good click, clack.

You do not see what Mordice is doing. That is Callie's turn. Okay, I'm looking at to spell magic. It says choose one creature, object, or magical effect within range.

It doesn't say anything about line of sight. Okay, so you essentially want to, you want to read in action so that when she throws the force gauge capsule, you can break that. I think essentially I want to cast it on the capsule right now to try to just dispel the match. You don't know where it is. But I'm saying it says choose one creature object or magical effect within range, and it's not more than a hundred points. I'm gonna say you have to be able to see her. Okay, then yeah, then I want to dispel it mid-air as soon as I see it. Okay. I'm gonna give a

Botic inspiration to the serpent. Whoa Okay, baby. You're gonna fucking save if I can't dispel you're gonna fucking save Callie you hold out your hand and starfire goes from you to the serpent as it Begins to move towards you with interest once again. Please, I know you're angry, but I also know you are tired of being angry. Let me take you somewhere that you can lay down and rest. I'm screeching and making crazy noises echoing through the cave. After Cali's turn, that is Bronra's turn. Bronra rolls out from behind a rock nearby. Serpent is flying down towards

Kali. She throws the Force Cage capsule up at it. You see it begins to explode as the spell is being cast. Kali, you cast the spell magic on the general area. Force Cage is a seventh level spell, so this is a DC 17 on the dispel magic. So I have to get this 12 or higher. Okay. 14! Yes!

Because of the 19! Woo! Oh, in your face, Bronner. Yes! Yes! Caled the capsule goes off and begins to light up the entire cave. And you see the image of the serpent begins to warp and begins to get sucked into the capsule.

When suddenly a flash of starfire creates a, like, constellation serpent that bites through the cage and breaks it open, freeing the serpent, the force cage has been dispelled, the capsule falls uselessly to the ground. Woo! Yeah! Are you insane? That was our only way of getting out of this! No, we have a much better way. Bronra just throws her hands up and kind of ready herself to run or roll away or hide if somebody tries to attack her.

But at this point, her only weapon has been used. She has no way to control the serpent. She kind of just stands by and watches and goes, fine, we'll do it your way. Yeah, we will. We should have from the start. Why did you fight it? You made it harder. I don't know what you're doing.

Everything you're doing is weird. Well, it's a good thing I know exactly what I'm doing. I look at Foster being like, what the fuck are we doing? Brrr. How do we get him back to the baselines? Gosh, I mean, maybe being like, what the fuck are we doing? What? How do we get him back to the Facelands? Gosh, I mean, maybe this is just what Nepotism gets you, but like, this seems pretty simple to me.

Yeah, everyone act really confident. Like, we know exactly the plan we're doing. Swag understands the deal, right, Swag? Yeah, totally. It's like, God, it's like, we finished each other sentences. Yeah, because I went inside the serpent on purpose. Everybody's in there. I was doing reconnaissance down there.

Things were looking good. Yeah, Kali, you see that as everyone stops attacking and as you defend it, go ahead and give me one last persuasion check as the serpent begins to sort of spiral around the cave, looking at you once again with interest. Do I have the help action from Asquire? Yeah.

That's another 30. Oh, okay. The serpent ceases any kind of aggressive stance. You hear rumbling from deeper in the caves as the beast shift its body and takes on a less aggressive stance. It lowers its head and locks eyes with you, Cali, this gargantuan serpent, and next to you is this tiny duck. I think I put my arms as much around its neck as I can and I picture the serpent in the sky and I say, I've got him, I don't know how to get him back to you but I've got him. If you can see through Foster or me your champion now would be the time because I don't know how much longer I can hold

his eye. He's very spirited but I think think you're gonna have so much fun with him. You hold your hand out to the serpent and kind of touch its scales that go from being sort of muddy and caked in dirt to shining bronze as you sort of clean it with starfire. And as you feel your connection to this creature and it beginning to essentially ascend to the beastlands, you feel its scales begin to sparkle and lose some of the debris.

But suddenly you see a tiny creature scrambles atop the serpent's head. Oh. any creature. Scramble's atop the serpent's head. This sneaky little guy has been following you. Since your perception check when you found the drill car last episode, you unfortunately did not get high enough to notice him hopping in your pack. You see Beanrat, one of the many familiar of Crumbdall Bronzebeard. For a moment, this tense moment, Cali, you know, your control over this thing is razor-thin. Everyone is silent, as you see this rat walks over the serpent's eye, and then looks at you, and suddenly looks possessed, and speaks with the voice of a gruff dwarven man. Trying to steal one of my pets again, are you?

He's not your pet, East his own fucking beast. Hmm. He looks over at, Bronra. And you, my darling niece and nephew, have you forgotten your poor uncle, locked away in the dungeons? Bronra looks nervous and goes, yeah, this is the headache I was talking about. Uncle Cromtall, we have plans for you, I promise, but when you do things like, you know, gather a menagerie of monsters and stuff that get loose in the city, it becomes, you know, a process to get you out, it's not super, super easy. I'm tired of plans and politics. I have suspect you want me to rot down here, because I know where the bodies are buried. Why, Patti?

Well there are about to be a lot more. Come home my pet. To iron deep, you see bean rats sinks its teeth into the serpent. No, it is. As it shrieks and leans back up above you in the caves, you see the eyes of hundreds of rats flashing up there as the serpent takes off. What, are we going to fight them all?

Of high old rats? Of high old rats? You can jump onto the serpent. It's not big as you like. I jump onto the serpent. I see. I might be in rat. And let me slide be in rat.

No! It means me. You absolutely can slide be in rat. You jump onto the serpent, swag jumps onto the serpent. You guys all essentially are gathered around the serpent. Yeah, everyone has an opportunity to attack to try to like hang on as a graph. Yeah, I'm jumping on the serpent. Yeah, I do it. Great. Everybody jumps on the serpent. Yeah, everyone has an opportunity attack to try to like hang on as a grab. Yeah, I'm jumping on the serpent. Yeah, great.

Everybody jumps on the serpent, including Bronra, who comes along for the ride, as the serpent shoots up towards the dungeons of Iron Deep, and that's where we'll end our session. I saw that! I saw that! I saw that! This is why you never show kindness to a rat. Don't fight the rats. They might be double crossing gromptal. It's not on bean rats. That's true, I'm sorry.
