During the fight, he revealed to you that the green and white knights were being set up and were going to be killed prior to the execution party. After some crucial crits, you defeated him. But glad warned you that because Hardwan's mom was a revenant tasked with killing him, if you killed him instead, she would disappear and be lost forever. Hardwan, frickin' killed him instead she would disappear and be lost forever hard one freaking killed him anyway. I'm sorry Mama. I never meant to hurt you. You know you weren't on the short rest so we never really got to talk to you about that decision. Yeah. But we'll talk about it in this short rest. Yeah, I haven't gotten to listen to last week's short

rest because I was traveling. Yeah. Yeah, let's let's talk on it today. patreon.com slash nap pod. NADD, POD, don't sing yet. So hard one, killed galad. So galad is dead y'all and so is the widow. You guys then investigated galad sword, rosaline, and learned that galad was spying on several people in the other paladin organizations through scrying runes that connected his sword

to other swords in the city. You guys saw that Bebs, Uncle Duck, and the rest of the Green Knights were heading up to the castle and about to walk into a trap. You grabbed Bebs' dad and began sneaking up into the castle to warn everyone, but along the way you found Edmund Lorelle, the King's uncle, and the Hand of the King. You then forced him at Axe Point to help you obtain some guard disguises and sneak into the castle courtyard. Once there you guys warned the green teens about the oncoming attack and took off running

just as the chosen guards became suspicious and gave chase. You exited the castle gate and began racing down the stone staircase when you ran into uncle duck and the rest of the green knights. So you guys are standing along this stone staircase that's about like 8 feet wide, it's narrow for how many people are on it. You guys have just shed your ill-fitting armor as you ran away, unless you want to keep yours on. Hard one because you are a human and you put on another human stuff. Yeah, I'll keep mine on.

Cool. So you get that 18 AC. Ooh. So you guys are here with Ol' Cobb, Cran, Darylyn, and the green team Glee team. You've also got Uncle Duck standing there with a sword drawn along with all of the other green knights. And across from you guys, the Chosen have gathered into their own group. You can also see above you that on the platform where the castle sits, there are Chosen Archers beginning to gather. It is tense, but no one has fired. This is like the Jets and the Sharks. Yeah, West Side Story. Don't snap.

What do we do? Yeah, that's your dad with to do quick. Is my dad awake? Your dad is still past out, but you guys have all these paladins. He has a few rangers and priests around and stuff. So you can kind of pass him down. That's a good idea. You guys also start getting treated.

So it's this very tense situation where you're staring each other down. Some paladins are like reaching over and layhansing you guys and people are healing you, but everybody's got their hands on their swords. It's very, very tense, but you guys are back up to full health because you basically just ran into a safe zone with a bunch of knights and cleric, etc, etc. That is a good spot to be. Yeah. And just to clarify, when we say that the green nights and the white nights and everything are paladins,

they are like paladin factions, but they do have other people that believe in their deities and stuff like Rangers and priests and all of that. So it's not just paladin abilities. Sure. I feel pretty good right now. I was pretty fucked before, but I got my HP back, I'm feeling fine. I've pretty fucked before but I got some I got my HP

back I'm feeling fine. I've got zero spells and zero wild shapes however I may run a little sneak mission. Yeah if you've got something if you got something going on you don't have sleeves but I've got something shoved up my butt crack. Aside from pop-off. Ha ha ha. Hey, yeah, while we're talking here, I was kinda, I'm sorry. Do you just bud your nose into a team meeting? Oh, I thought I was here. I'm not a boss.

So I was kind of hanging on to this in case we got in some serious trouble. And we appear to be in very serious trouble. Maybe hang on a little longer. I'm just kidding. Okay. You know what, that's a good joke. It's gonna keep it like this.

I gotta be honest, I'm getting a little nervous. Usually I'm the funny one, but this is pretty tense. Anyway, when I was traveling with your Mimou, I used to carry this around case we got in trouble. And he hands you a spores syringe. Oh. Oh, okay, we're taking it there. I'm into that kind of shit.

And what this will do is you can inject more spores in yourself and you can give yourself a wild shape that lasts longer. And it can last up to an hour. If you stay in it longer than an hour, you don't become a mushroom. I grow roots. Is it anaphyrosansoil? You need to like dispel it, you need to try to come out of it,

and it's a DC 10 Constitution check to come out of it. Every hour you stay after it, it goes up another plus one. So the longer you stay in it, animal or spruels, you could be a mushroom queen forever. You don't want to turn into a, I don't know, there's a temptation to do that. Yeah, I could see, I could see you not rolling

about the 10 on purpose. You just have to carry around like a big potted vase for you, I guess. So as you guys are kind of whispering amongst yourself, kind of trying to figure out what to do. Suddenly, on the chosen side, you see the line of parts. And a very tall human man, like seven feet tall, it's just big fucking dude. He's got short black hair and a dark black mustache and he approaches the front of the chosen. Bev, you know this as being the next

highest ranking officer under GLAD, and unlike GLAD, he is very no nonsense. This guy has no flair, he's deboring dude. And his name is Lieutenant Barrett Brisden. Barrett Brisden, what's his sword's name? He does, oh, his sword does not have a name. Oh my God. It's sword.

Yeah. Does it say that in Roons on it though? Yeah, it just says great sword on it. So Barrett Brisden walks to the front. And you also know him as being kind of, he's a little bit like the your dad of the chosen. They probably play basketball together at the Y. They would be like dads who argue

it at a softball game against each other. Yeah, they're not friends, but they're kind of on the save way of length a little bit. Gotcha. So this guy walks up and he goes, all right, you little squirts. I don't know who tipped you off, but you got yourself an opportunity here.

You played yourself to the yalla now, and we'll call off the whole dang day How's that sound and you hear from the back of the line? You know what? Oh It's a little tickle. No, it's not good. Okay, so, no, that's not deady. It's Dunkin' Pebble Pie to his dad.

It's a Dunkin' Pebble Pie. It starts to march forward. He just clocking him. No, I'm clocking him in the knees. It falls flat on his face. You kick Dunkin' Pebble Pie in the knees. I won't even make you roll because he's not good at fighting.

And he just falls down. He goes, all right, you know what? Maybe I'll stick with the green nights then, hugging? Well, I guess everyone just like shoves it to the side. And anybody in the chosen who wants to be free to worship any God you want, you guys can come over and fight with us. Ooh, that's a good call.

Yeah, it's a pretty sweet deal. Go ahead and give me a persuasion check. Great. 12. 12, hmm. Probably not gonna turn an army against their leader. Okay, wait, let me give it a shot though. What are the fiends you're over there? Soldiers?

You see how much I got? We can't aim our eyes, we pack it. You see a skinny soldier starts to like complain to a friend and you see Barrett smacks him. Nobody's leaving our side. You got that? Not even first team employee to jambalai. Not even first team employee to jambal Not even first team employee to jump alive.

We got a hard look at this, I look at the skinny soldier. We have sticky buns. So finally you see Bev's dad stands up and walks to the front of the green nights and he goes, listen here mister, we don't give a hoot about your dang god. So why don't you take your offer and shove it up your dank-rump.

Yeah. Yeah, you hear some of the green nights start whooping. They were getting a little nervous. You know, a couple of them were maybe gonna bend the knee here, but- I hope you're wrong, boys. Come on. Everybody starts cheering a little bit.

That's my dad. Yeah. No, it's dad. This is my boy. That's my dad. This is my boy. We're not going anywhere. You see, Barrett Brisden pulls out a speaking stone and he goes,

alright, you're funeral. Begin the purge and set him loose. Yes, him. Shit. And you see these guys all pull out their swords. And you see a bunch of the airships that were flying and circling around the mountain they don't come at you guys they start lowering down towards upper glater on no shit the per oh fuck me that's the that they're gonna kill everybody enough for later dad they're going for mom they're they're trying to

divide our attention we we have to defend the king right? You see these four ranger looking guys, one of them yells out, well hold them off for Polar, for a later on! Wee for Polar! And they cheer, they enlarge themselves and charge in on the front row of chosen as you guys escape. They're able to jam up the walkway for long enough that the green nights and everybody, you guys are all able to make it down the stairs. You get down to the church district and the stairs transitioned into a big platform where three of these big churches sit. There's the Church of Devotion, which is dedicated to Moriden and Bahumut. Then there's the Church of the Ancients, which is the Church of Polar.

Dedicated to Polar with a small chapel to Malorah to the side. It's this large building with big stone pillars and moss covering it. There are vines wrapped around the building with flowers growing all over it and green tapestries hanging. There's also a big stone statue of Polar holding a beach ball and lifting up his sunglasses to give a wink.

That's so cool. Then there's also the Church of the Chosen, which is also a huge building, but it's very plain. It's just a big stone building with a giant wooden door that is closed shut. A tag moon shine on it. Pop on it.ine on it. Papa tag moonshine on it. Yep, a pop on moonshine got a head start, so they're just defacing the church of the chosen.

What did you write on it? I'm dictating to Papa just to write moonshine rules. But it is gibberish, right? Yeah, it does say moh, which is pretty impressive. Awesome. You're learning? Yeah. We're learned it. Yeah. We're so people tell me.

It's got two out of 26 letters. You see the green nights immediately getting a position. Bev's dad is commanding them with Uncle Duck guiding him. A bunch of dudes with shields form a wall at the bottom of the stairs and archers climb atop the roofs to get in a better position. And as this is all going on, you guys see that the white nights have just exited their church

They were clearly about to head up. Someone goes over Fills them in and you see them start rushing into position as well So as everybody's kind of rushing around and getting into position Bev your dad yells for you Bev where are you bud dad daddy? Daddy pup pup up he he finds you and he walks over to you uncle duck kind of helps him get over there and he goes Hey pup, pupa! He finds you and he walks over to you. Uncle Duck kind of helps him get over there and he goes, Bev, I need you to get down to upper Galator on

and help your mom. We can hold them off here. Dad, I'm ready. I want to fight with you. I'm a junior grade knight. It's my time. Bev, we're stopping him from getting down to upper Galator on. This isn't, we're not sacrificing anybody.

We're trying to get everybody out of the dang city. We gotta evacuate the city. If the all is coming. Fuck me. That's he's right we got it we got it accurate we gotta help your mom. I start hyperlinating. They got the dang castle. You're right they got the dang castle and they got a dang God on the way. Dad I'm proud of you. So I'm I'm proud of you. So I'm proud of you. I hug my dad. He hugs you right back.

What, what, I want to give him something. I want to give him, I want to help him in some way, but I have no spells. They've got, they've got like a whole little army. They're in a much better spot trying to defend the church district and stopping people from getting down upper glater on, then they are storming a castle. Okay. Before they were on the stairs with guys above them,

you know, with like the high ground, being able to shoot down on them. Yeah. Now they're kind of just making it so the chosen has to run through the fucking ringer, or they're stuck in the castle, yeah. I clutch my amulet, but I look up at the beautiful statue of Polor,

and I can almost taste the beautiful statue of Polor, and I can almost taste the crisp, refreshing flavor of a Coca-Cola on a hot summer day. And I pray for him to keep my dad safe. I say, Polor, one day my father will join you in a four on four beach volleyball tournament. But today is not that day. Please keep him safe.

I'll roll a religion check. Roll high. Ooh, my religion is plus three, so that's 18. Dope. Yeah. You could have sworn you just saw the statue wink at you with the other eye. Good, I wink back and then I grab my dad's arm

one more time and then I proceed. So as you guys go to Rush to upper Galator on, Lieutenant Namon, your old acquaintance from the White Knights, runs up to you with a few dozen men and he says, we're going to join you in upper Galator on. A lot of us have families there and he pulls out his sword for the light. He kind of nods at you guys. I hold up Galator's L's head real quick for the light. He kind of nods at you guys. I hold up glad Rosalos head real quick. For the light baby. Oh my goodness, no one told us that happened.

Oh yeah. It's been a busy morning. Well yeah, it's a heck with that guy. Yeah it was a real knucklehead. King of the knuckleheads. For the light. For the light. So as you guys descend the stairs and upper glater on you guys beginning here screams in the clashing of metal

You see that a bunch of the houses are burning and you see some chosen guards killing a citizen There are also chosen nights out numbering a passing green night guard who's being overwhelmed It's just a mess and to your left you see an airship parked with grappling hook like anchor sticking into the side of the mountain Archers are on the ship shooting at people in the city and a bunch of guards are You see an airship parked with grappling hook like anchor sticking into the side of the mountain. You see Lieutenant Naiman and his guys take off and start going after the chosen soldiers.

A few of the guys run into the burning houses. Others join the Green Knight who is being outnumbered. What do you guys do? Can I use my shape water and just like create, as we're running, I'm creating water over some of these fires a little bit. So moonshine is going and throwing water and trying to put out some of these fires here. I'm gonna run a jump on the airship.

Yeah, I would say your house, you know, your house is like a two or three minute runaway. Okay, and we've got- I'm not even for Beb's mom's house. Yeah. I'm just sniffing sticky buns in the air and following the scent. Okay, so you guys are splitting up. Yeah, I'm gonna go. I'm gonna spike. Yeah, I'll go with moonshine. Oh, Cobb, you should go with hard one. Oh, Cobb sees moonshine and Beb in one team

running down towards Beb's house. He looks over at you, hard one, and he goes, guess who's going to be brother? Oh hell yeah. Oh Cobb and hard one, jump onto the ship as there's fighting going on all around you guys, and we follow Bev and Moonshine. Grab me a sticky bun!

He got it! He got it! He got it! We will start with Bev and Moonshine. So Bev and Moonshine, as you guys run, you see two chosen knights who are like the beefier guys in the full plate armor. You see them trying to break down a door.

That is one of your neighbors, the gnome guy that moonshine had peaked in. Oh, Mr. his name is Nezbun. Mr. Nezbun, oh no, hey, you leave him alone. I cast infestation on one of them Cool, he must succeed a constitution saving throw or take one D6 poison damage and move five feet in a random direction and then we'll roll A D4 to find which direction moves in okay Not much, but this is battled the cantrip space. Yeah, cool. He rolled a five.

Yes, it's actually 2d6, because I ain't good for a cantrip. So, first, huge. Eight, he takes eight damage, and then he moves five feet east. Cool. The rise and sun. He's just in a neighborhood, and he moves five feet up. I was hoping it was the door, and he just ran into the door. Oh, yeah, I was gonna say Nezbit has like a rose bush next to See if he falls in rose bush. Yeah

Three he falls in the rose bush Suddenly you start scratching himself wildly Which and he falls back into a rose bush Absolutely drew it bitch Same thing same thing as far as I'm concerned. You guys roll initiative. I'll have old Cobb roll initiative as well. Oh no, old Cobb's with hard one, sorry.

All right, that's gonna be... These guys did a bad job. So you guys just have to... 17 for me. 14 for me. Oh, nice. Munchan, you're first. I did one cast's infestation on him.

Yeah, I mean, it's on him or the other guy. No, the one that I already hit. He's, he's, he's on a torture. We said kind of for funny purposes that he fell on the Rose Bush, but I rolled the CV fell on the Rose Bush. He did, he's prone. Okay, so he'll roll a constitution saving throw

with this band. So I'm like, dang, you picked something up at the barricades. I ain't never seen so many fleas on a guy. You didn't even cast anything, did you? No, all I did was just flick my wrist because one of your fleas was flying my way. He got a 15.

That is my spell save, so that means that he does save, yes. Okay. I'm gonna push now, I don't care if there are bugs on me, I expect that from a bush. Just still scratching himself and kicking his legs comically. Beth, that's you.

OK. I want to run towards the other guard. OK. And I shout, leave Mr. Nezbeen alone. He lets me play with his electric trains. And I hear from the inside, that's right. They're really cool. I've my own little hat.

It's just bad on it. And I rest towards them. You go for it. 18. 13 hits. D8 plus six, that's a 13. 13 damage. He looks pretty good still.

These are pretty hearty guys. Well, that one bit. That was my first attack. You realize, take another swing. And there, guys, there is like fighting everywhere. Whenever I kind of call out somebody doing something, it's like a bad guy who is unattended. And I'm like, if you don't deal with him, he kills that guy.

Yeah. I say, hard shine, feeling fine. Gonna make your blood flow like wine. And I say, holy shit, I just got, I'm the shine. Yeah, what shit? You just got it together. You didn't get that. Holy shit, a tab pop on the head. I'm like, right here. Right shit? You just got it together. You didn't get that. I always shit.
