Just don't get a year first instead. It's fine. A whole year. Yeah. And cheaper. Yeah. Play Apex. It's free. You'll have room for an indie game. Oh, yeah, yeah, it's true Yeah, I think they may I think they may call the new called you like 70 bucks now. Did they I think they finally like is that what it cost? I think so I mean, I mean I mean I want a sticker of Joe Biden saying I did that like next to like $70 video games Can we make that happen? Yeah, do the face jam ones. The jam has those stickers with the guys that says I did that.
Starting point is 00:01:46 I don't know if you've seen them. They put some of them around the office. It's really funnier to see them. You know, I guess it's that time. I just don't know when I was a, I'm like, I want to be mad. But, be mad. At the same time, it's like, when I was a little kid,
Starting point is 00:02:00 games were like 50 bucks. And that only changed like with the 360, they went up to like 60 bucks, right? That was, yeah. But that being said, even then, there were some super Nintendo and some N64 games that cost more, just because they were cartridge-based. Because a lot of times it depended
Starting point is 00:02:17 if they could save or not, or like at least for Game Boy, like. Well, also with like SNES and N64, they did that thing where sometimes they would put additional processing power in the cartridge. Are you to get the add-on thingES and N64 they did that thing where sometimes they would put additional processing power in the cartridge Yeah, are you to get the the add-on thing for the N64? Yeah, the memory So it's like plus everything's more expensive now I
Starting point is 00:02:34 It's been decades Gavin almost a shit off camera. I could see why they want to increase it, right? It's still sucks each shit on camera We're gonna do it. We're talking about, Gavin. Video games will be more expensive now. So it looks. Hey, it's Gavin. Video games are $70 now, thoughts? That's a lot of money. It is.
Starting point is 00:02:51 But I guess the more expensive to make and take longer to make now. So I don't know. This is like some do and some don't. How much was the last of us remake? Was it also probably around 70 bucks? I think it was 60. 60, I'm gonna look it up.
Starting point is 00:03:03 Yeah. Last of us. I just like. No, just like the first, could I just did a remake of'm gonna look it up. Yeah. Last of us. I just like. No, just like the first, because they just did a remake of the first one, right? Yeah. Any part too obviously, but. The last of us remake costs $70.
Starting point is 00:03:11 Wow. There you go. Yeah. And that's for a remake. I mean, they just had a lot of work in it. I know, no, but yeah, I mean, but there is something to be said about like as much as rework as they did, there was that much that they already had. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:24 Done, not to take away from it, but it's just like, I feel like there needs to stop being standard prices of games because it's like, I've gotten more play time out of indie games, some indie games that I have, like a full, triply game. I kinda like 70 bucks. Exactly, yeah. You can spend like, $20,000 if I bucks and get like,
Starting point is 00:03:39 tunic. Or Colt or Colt of the Lamb. Colt of the Lamb. Like, when you're 30 bucks and I play that, I could not put that game down. I can't beat the final boss. I got, so it's so hard. I had an interesting thing with cult of the lamb whore.
Starting point is 00:03:51 I got to a certain point of the game and I put it down and in my mind I was like, I've, I've, I, I, I, I welcome to the podcast, yeah, I've had it a man. I've had a good amount of time with this game and I don't feel the need to go back and finish it. That's fair. It's like I feel like I got my money's worth. I know the game and I don't feel the need to go back and finish it. That's fair. I feel like I got my money's worth, I know the game,
Starting point is 00:04:07 like I may pick it up and finish it, but I don't feel like I've got to go finish it. I feel like my attention started drifting and I was like, that's fine, I got more than my money's worth out of that game. I don't need to finish it. That's fair. I mean, yeah, if you want to quit, that's fine. Yeah, you're a quitter.
Starting point is 00:04:20 Yeah. But to step back in second, you mentioned the last of us. Did you see the trailer for the HBO show for the last Miss Kim out today. Yeah, they were making that it's pretty good. It looks great. The cat I think casting's great too. Yeah, I'm a big fan of Pedro Pascal as Joel. I think that's a really good choice. The kind of the the actress for Ellie. She was the actress from Game of Thrones. Yep. Really? Yeah? Yeah, she was the head of shit. What was that house? It was a Beaurey.
Starting point is 00:04:48 Beaureymont. Beaureymont, yeah, yeah. Was that after season two of Game of Thrones? Yeah. OK. That's how I was the first to say this. I was going to say. But yet, the tour looks really good.
Starting point is 00:04:58 The show's coming out next year. Yeah. I'm excited to see it. The same director or showrunner that did Chernobyl, I think. Yeah. I'm always super skeptical of video game director or showrunner that did Chernobyl, I think. Yeah. I'm always super skeptical of video game adaptations to like, shows or movies. It's like, especially with like the last of us, you've already got the story.
Starting point is 00:05:13 You've already, like, they spent 40 hours or whatever, like telling that story. It's not like the Sonic movie where it's like they have to like make a movie. Like the story is because the game is just go fast to the right. Get rings. Go fast to the right. The whole movie. That's keep going, right?
Starting point is 00:05:31 Yeah. They just have a really long dolly. Yeah. It's just like a single shot. Can't ever run this way. Yeah. Different speeds to the right. Do you still hate load of the rings?
Starting point is 00:05:42 Rings power. So are you watching it, Carrie, by the way? I was gonna wait. Okay. So I haven't yet, I don't care what's going on. We won't spoil though. I've heard like mixed things about it. I thought the first two episodes were boring.
Starting point is 00:05:56 I thought the third episode was great. Then the fourth episode went back to boring and I haven't watched the fifth episode yet. So, and I think I figured out what I'm like about the first two episodes. I think the first two episodes, not enough gets explained or not enough happens, where there's a lot of teasing stuff out,
Starting point is 00:06:14 and I feel like if they had taken the first two episodes and maybe jammed them together into one episode, it would have been better, because the first episode ends on a cliffhanger of something happening, and the second episode does nothing to further explain that cliffhanger. It just like kind of teases it out longer throughout the whole episode. And even by the fourth episode, it's not really even fully explained yet.
Starting point is 00:06:34 It's still kind of messy. You can kind of guess what's happening. And if you know the story, you know what's going on. Yeah. But I feel like it kind of, it's not giving enough information. It's like, it's along a little too slowly. No Frodo, right? No, no.
Starting point is 00:06:48 No, this is like thousands of years for Gandalf. So it's a deal. Do you remember the very beginning of Fellowship of the Rings, they talk about El Andeel and... Also I think that it might be a thousand. I'm not sure of the exact. It's a Sealedil, the Sold guy.
Starting point is 00:07:04 Yes. And a Sealedil gets smashed. Yes. El Andeel the exact it's a seal deal the sword guy. Yes, and it's so it gets smashed Yes, yeah, Ilondil and a seal door are characters in this show. Okay, so like it's way before what happened in lower his swords Told a good Yiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiy I assumed the sword will happen at some point. Sure. Yeah. Did he, oh, so runs hand. Well, we already saw that in the beginning of fellowship. Yeah, but he's a good guy. And then maybe I don't know. It's not canon now.
Starting point is 00:07:30 Well, this is completely different. Oh, no, no, this is all before. Where I write, I guess I meant like, it's not a, like, if, if, if, if, I think it's all, I think it's all adapted from the Silmarillion. It is, yeah, yeah. So it's not like think it's all adapted from the Silmarillion it is yeah, yeah, so it's not like these stories were necessarily written as Isn't this more interesting a bunch of short stories? Yeah, the Silmarillion is kind of like reading an encyclopedia or a history book
Starting point is 00:07:57 Right, you're right in some of them are boring. Yeah So it's very dry. So I mean that's the that's maybe part of the problem is the massage materials very dry and So it's very dry. So that's maybe part of the problem. The massaging material is very dry. And so they're trying to flesh that out and make it sexy up a little bit. More entertaining. And one of the other problems I have with that show,
Starting point is 00:08:13 and I was complaining to Gavin about this the other day, is I feel like the intro for that show doesn't do a good job of hyping you up to watch the show. The intro is like, it's got very slow music and it's like very soothing visuals to go with it. It's a beautiful intro. And if you know the story, like you understand what it's supposed to represent,
Starting point is 00:08:33 but if you're just watching it, it's like, I'm just watching a bunch of sand. Can you give me an example of an intro that does hype you up to watch it? So, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So I think there's two different ways you can approach it, right? Like either an intro that hypes you up and gets you excited or an intro that gets in and gets the fuck out like breaking bad. Sure. Just a couple of notes of music
Starting point is 00:08:51 and then just title and then that's it. We think the Westworld intro. I love the Westworld intro. Okay. I think the Westworld intro's are really good because- That's quite a mellow in there. I've found those pretty long too. But the thing they do with the Westworld intro's is
Starting point is 00:09:02 they give you information about what's happening in the show or what will happen in the show if you watch it. At first it seems very abstract, but as you watch it, like, oh, this is all very tight into what you're about to watch. I feel like the music for the Westworld intros gets me into a good state of mind to watch. Like it's mellow, but it gets me ready to- No, I just hit a certain point, though, where it goes into it. Yeah, that's pretty good. I'm ready to, I'm ready, I'm ready to engage and fully in the like that. The West Row intro, I never skip. You know, you
Starting point is 00:09:32 have the option to like, I never skip the West Row intro. So I have a question about rings of power. With Lord of the Rings, I don't know too much of the lore, the other rings. But does music have a lot to do with the shaping of? So because the thing I do like about the rings of power intro is that it's that technique of when you use music on a on a flat surface that moves sand to be shaped, which I thought would be cool if there's like a music component to how the music shapes the world. So that's actually an excellent point. And that what you're describing is the reason that they made the intro that way. In the lore of Lord of the Rings, the world was sung into
Starting point is 00:10:12 existence. So what you, and then the song was slowly corrupted by Morgoth, which is why like part way through the intro, you see that black sand start creeping in and creating like a dissonance within the song. It sounds very cool. It's, I think if you know the lore, it's a very cool thing, but I feel like it's not accessible to people who aren't readily steeped in it. Trevor loves it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:36 But he's very much steeped in the Lord of the Rings lore and he knows it pretty well. Whereas I saw the movies when they came out 20 years ago. Yeah. And then that's it. And you love the Hobbit. I saw the movies when they came out 20 years ago. Yeah. And then that's it. And you love the Hobbit. No, I don't even know if I might have seen one of the Hobbits. I don't even know.
Starting point is 00:10:52 You were in the barrel with the GoPro's. Do I? Barely remember anyone's name. Well, I think hate that shot, sorry. It's very controversial. Like they're in. It's in the first movie. It's in the first movie.
Starting point is 00:11:03 They're in barrels like going down a river. And it's very obviously like GoPro's filming. Well, especially when it came out, it was not that long after Avatar. And they're experimenting with the high-frame rate movies and stuff like that. So you go to the 48 frames. Yeah, 48 frames a second for certain parts of it at least.
Starting point is 00:11:18 And I think I saw them 3D too. So it's just like very technical experience as well. And then all of a sudden, there's just like very technical experience as well. And then all of a sudden there's just like a GoPro 3 footage being very serious. And it just looked like just dog shit in the middle of this. Not like a multi-million dollar film. No, that's how I say that.
Starting point is 00:11:34 You would remember that if you saw that. Oh man, I hate to say that. That's like the strongest memory I have of the hobby. That guy named J.Lo and Chad is saying the GoPro scene's actually in the second movie. That's what I thought I was gonna say in one. That was the the only hobby I saw and I had no idea what was going on. And I was like, is that a GoPro? The second is it the second movie that ends in the middle of a fight?
Starting point is 00:11:57 It's like they they find smog and they're about to start the fight and they're like, yeah, and he's like fucking the town up and then it's like credits. What? And they're about to start the fight and they're like, yeah, and he's like fucking the town up and then it's like credits. And my feet, what? Yeah, it's like the worst middle movie. Yeah. The, the, the fight just started. No one gets the satisfaction of it at all. Also, do you know how you can watch that movie in 48 frames now?
Starting point is 00:12:16 No, you can't. Oh, okay. No, you do whatever you do to Ruby is where is where the reupload fight scenes at 60 frames a second. They just interpolated. Oh, it looks like shit. Like, I hate it. I hate it.
Starting point is 00:12:32 So why do you do that? Was it you Gav who when you went to see Dune, you were looking down when it said part one? I was looking at my food. He thought I hated it. Because it wasn't in the marketing at all. I was like, that was interesting. Like a non-ending ending.
Starting point is 00:12:48 And everyone was like, yeah, I can't wait for the other pass. I was like, oh, can't sleep that night. Did you see the GoPro shot in June? It was pretty crazy. They're going down a sand dude in a barrel. Oh, yeah. Yeah, there's a GoPro. They actually used to GoPro 3.
Starting point is 00:13:00 You actually look fine. Yeah, yeah. It was just like when I watched all of the Lord of the Rings and I forgot to watch Pust, the first disc of the final movie. I said, never seen the end. Yeah, didn't never see. And the other, the problem with the end of Return of the King is that movie ends like seven times.
Starting point is 00:13:16 Yeah, that I remember. Yeah, there's like, okay, movies, oh, no, no, it's still going. Fade out, shade in. Okay, no, movies, oh, nope, nope, still going. Like, oh my God, the week's ending for 45 minutes. Yeah. There's a long, there's a long way. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:28 Good. There's a lot of meme worthy stuff in them, but they're good. So yeah. Yeah, I mean, I remember when my roommate Alex, and I always talk about it's when like Frodo gets hurt and he, what's the elves town? Rivendell? Rivendell, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:44 Like he wakes up in Rivendell and Gandalf walks in the room and he fronters just goes, Gandalf! Yeah, that's funny. That's funny. I'm wondering too. I have a theory. I don't want, I have no idea if I'm right or wrong because I know nothing about Lord of the Rings.
Starting point is 00:13:59 But there's one character in Rings of Power who's like part of the, like, the people who like become the hobbits, what are the- The harfoot. The harfoot. The like main girl. She kind of looks like Elijah Wood.
Starting point is 00:14:11 Interesting. Just a little bit. And so I'm wondering if they're trying to insinuate that there's like a very long type of lineage or relationship there. Yeah, I don't know if that will be the case, but like to answer your other question, there are no hobbits in this show
Starting point is 00:14:26 because it predates even the hobbit's existence. The creatures that, there are harfoot in the show, which are like the precursors to hobbits. Like hobbit ancestors who were nomadic. Were they shorter or taller? Have the hobbits gotten smaller? I want to say they're the little taller.
Starting point is 00:14:44 Just based off how they look next to other maybe they have fucked up. But there was that first shot of them when like the hunters are walking through the field. True. And the hardfoot looked really small there. I haven't seen enough comparisons to say. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:58 I tried reading the similarity in like a long time ago, I just couldn't do it. I love wearing this obviously. I just couldn't do it. I've tried, I know. This is kind of for the person that, in the, in the Hobbit books, you could translate the doorfish and I did.
Starting point is 00:15:12 And I got bullied. Yeah. And I couldn't get to the similar and I just couldn't do it. Is that the piece of content you think you've tried the most times to do? I've tried wearing the Sumerillion. I, I can't. I'm with you. Like I loved the Lord of the Rings. I'm familiar with've tried reading the Sumerillion. I can't. I'm with you.
Starting point is 00:15:25 I love the Lord of the Rings. I'm familiar with the content of the Sumerillion because I want to know what happened, but I, man, I can't. I feel like there's other content I've tried repeatedly to try to get mine out. The wife want to try it four times and I can't do it. What is it? Which, your three?
Starting point is 00:15:41 I know it's a good game. Everyone says it's great. I know I would like it. I just can't get into it. I can't start it. It's too much. I'm overwhelmed by all my pockets and oils and potions and salves. I don't know where to put any fit.
Starting point is 00:15:55 I don't know which sort of thing you want to wipe. Put it in all you different pockets. I just need someone to sit down with me and take me through like an hour long training because I have to do what I'm doing. Is there gonna be a Witcher 3 remaster soon? That's what I'm waiting for. Is it gonna be $7?
Starting point is 00:16:12 Yeah. Double the salves. That's what I hate that word. I've been playing. I'm in the same way with Mass Effect. Oh, I've just never, like, because the first one's like, I've heard like not. First one's not great.
Starting point is 00:16:22 I loved number two. Yeah, but that's, I'd love number two as well. But like the problem is like, I feel like I shouldn't just start too. You can do one of those, like many episode one recaps, where you like watch basically like a graphic novel, you make a couple of decisions
Starting point is 00:16:39 and then imports of decisions to me too. Yeah, huh. That way you don't have to, maybe I'll do that. Go through this. But there are Very cool moments in one that affect things later. There's no sex though, right? I think I banged the law in the second one. Yeah, I know you get my knob was good and wet the whole time
Starting point is 00:17:02 Sloppy There was but I can't remember for certain. Okay. But there are cool things that you can cause in one that pay off in later. What video game has the most graphic, graphic might not be the right word for it, but like the most detailed sexual- Leadership Larry. In count. The most explicit. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:22 Like, we're, maybe you don't see anything, but like it might not be suitable for children kind of such. I mean, that's like banging games. Yeah, I mean, there's like, yeah, that's for like, Hentai games. But I guess like a AAA like made by a studio. I guess like in the Witcher, for example, like when you bang someone.
Starting point is 00:17:42 I never got, I never got to bang anyone. Fable just like cut the black. Well, I mean, so there are some just like, yeah, in Cyberpunk 2077, you could modify your genitals. That's all I need. Yeah. To like look like, like the three different penis size.
Starting point is 00:18:02 Yeah. And would you, would it just be like the bulge in the pants or would it be like naked? When you put the disc for cyberpunk in, within 30 seconds you're seeing dong. So when you said modify genitals, I was like, can you make it like a slinky or something like it's just essentially chainage
Starting point is 00:18:18 what it is, Gary's mod. Like the size and stuff like that. So, girf. Yeah, slinky dick wasn't on that. Yeah. I think it was mainly size and stuff like that. So, Gurf. Yeah, Slinky Dick wasn't on that. Yeah. I think it was mainly size and cutter and cut. Oh, interesting. I've been watching the Cyberpunk Edge runners on Netflix.
Starting point is 00:18:35 I'm about to go through it. I'm on like episode five or six. It's really good. It's like making me want to go back and play the game again. Which, which a cyberpunk Edge runners? Oh, cyberpunk. Yeah, it's a trigger did it. It's like my favorite image. Trigger did it.
Starting point is 00:18:48 It's really well done. Cyberpunk the game is like one of the most top concurrently played right now on Steam. It work. Is it a game now? Supposedly. The shows making me want to play the game are like, no, I've already been, I've already got tricked a lot. Apparently it is good now.
Starting point is 00:19:03 Oh, okay. That happens. No man, sky came out as like a Almost game. I like I like from whatever this is like near the level of no man sky Like how much it's like gotten better. Yeah, I played almost all of Cyberpunk like the week it came out and it was Pretty ropey experience. I was still like you could tell it was there was some good shit Yeah, I took the day off and then I did not playing it like I played for like a couple hours. I was like I can't I want to go back now. Yeah, it's gonna be fun You can you can modify your genitals. Yeah Modifier genitals genitals
Starting point is 00:19:37 Tilly yeah, I really wanted to move somewhere else. It's like a fun like a different apartment. Did they add in anything like that? My dad did oh somewhere else. It's like a different apartment. Did they add in anything like that? Yeah, they did? Oh, hell yeah. I like a game with a good base. You can get shit and put it in there. I thought you meant like audio. New apartment. Love it. Did you love that about Greth Grand Theft Auto? Like buying some house and stuff. Oh, be halosly. Upgrade. Yeah. Like when Franklin gets his second place, that's cool.
Starting point is 00:20:09 I like that. I've been thinking about jumping back in a skyrim again for a second playthrough. Yeah, I played it four times. Really? What out of the 11 possible systems, what are you going to play it on? I don't know. You can play it on Alexa. What?
Starting point is 00:20:24 There's like a text-based version. Oh, that like a half-jerk. Oh, it's on Alexa I don't know because I feel like part of it is being able to see everything because it's such a beautiful game But also if it's on the switch that would be really cool to like being able to take it with me when I travel and stuff like that or play it in bed He's seeing a bunch of mods though There is true, which I've never tried because I probably have to be next I guess need it like it or play it in bed. Yeah. PC you can do a bunch of mods though. Yeah, there is. That's true, which I've never tried, because I played it on- You probably have to be an X. I guess you'd be an X.
Starting point is 00:20:48 You probably could. I played it on Xbox when I first played it back in 20. You probably had, like, on the 360, yeah. Yeah. You can buy it for $60 on the Switch. Or 2011, whatever it was. $60? It's $60.
Starting point is 00:21:01 Well, because it didn't come out like that long. It was like last year or the year before I think. On Switch, particularly. Yeah, but Skyrim came out over a decade ago. Yeah, like, I mean, you can have, if you've never played it, you can have fun with it. Like, I just got steamed up. Yeah, it's great. Just took a traveling to go on a plane.
Starting point is 00:21:16 I played, I just wanted a game that would run well on it. Yeah. So I went 10 years back and I just played disonn it. Which I never played before. Damn, good game actually, that. Disonored. Yeah, it's an all Bethesda game. Yeah, it's like an arcane Bethesda.
Starting point is 00:21:31 How was your travel? It was nice. Yeah. When I'm vacation. Ooh. Welcome back. Thank you. How much is your steam deck have that good smell to it?
Starting point is 00:21:41 That's what the separates I was talking about. I thought that he was from like traveling. No, it's like new electronics smell. Sometimes if I'm like stretching out my wrist, I'll lean it towards me and the top vent will blow air. Yeah, it's not like. It's fun. Because it has this like new electronics smell.
Starting point is 00:21:55 Is it warm? Yeah, it's warm. It's pretty warm. But then like when you really think about it's like, it's just glue. It's like you're talking glue. It's just same to you with like new car smell. It's just like sealants and glue and stuff.
Starting point is 00:22:06 You're like, good shit. Get me, ha! It's weird that you can kind of tell the vibe of a developer. Like I don't really have a pay attention to who made what game. But I started playing this on it. I was like, oh, this feels just like, pray and death loop. And I was like, did they make the same game? And I looked at it, I was like, oh, all three are made by the same company.
Starting point is 00:22:25 It's like, you can just feel it. Just feel it. Not too many pockets, not too many shelves, not too many potions. That no much no-souls. Perfect, interesting. A perfect game. Just slid in and shoot in and imagine.
Starting point is 00:22:36 I give it five out of five shelves. Excellent choice. I can use, I feel like games need more sales in general, but maybe not too many. I'm fine with salves. Just tell me, give me an example of what I'm doing with it. Yeah, well, I know a shaman, in which or specifically you're probably confused,
Starting point is 00:22:52 because you have two different swords that you have to switch between. One is putting your monsters. You like oil them up, right? Two or something. Yeah. Have you ever played D&D, Gavin? Do.
Starting point is 00:23:02 I feel like you would like it. Like based on the games you like and the kind of storytelling and stuff, I feel like you would like D&D, Gavin. Do. I feel like you would like it. Like based on the games you like and the kind of storytelling and stuff, I feel like you would like D&D, like you'd enjoy it. I think the problem is Gavin would be cosy trying to break the game. Yeah, that's very true. You'd be like pushing at the edges
Starting point is 00:23:16 and trying to like see where things fall apart. You'd be able to be getting. And then I would settle in. Yeah. On the Unai Stream, one of the bad cards was roll a bag of dice, and I just went like, and there was a couple of D20s in there. It's okay.
Starting point is 00:23:32 One was a 20 and one was a 19. Yeah. So I added like 39 cards to our deck from what you were on a bad, plus the other dice. I just bought a fake like prop dice. It's a twice-eyed diamond, it's all 20s. Nice. Nice. You played D&D before, right, Gary? I just bought a fake like prop dye. It's like it's a twice-eyed dye with all 20s.
Starting point is 00:23:47 Nice. You played D&D before right? We've done it. We've done a Ruby D&D shirt. Oh, yeah, of course. Every sugar watch. Ruby Grimmaclips. No, that was a Grimm campaign. Grimm campaign. Grimmaclips was the video game. There's so many Ruby Grimm things. A lot of Grimms. We just did um, so for our D&D podcast, Tails from the Stinky Dragon, we're doing these clips that we take from the podcast and then we acted out with these puppets that John's mom had made for us. Really cool. With like whole sets and props and everything. They take like a very long time.
Starting point is 00:24:18 We've made everything ourselves and filmed everything and edited it ourselves and everything like that. Uh, and they turned out really good. So if you wanna check them out, they're on the stinky dragon social. So stinky dragon pod on Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok. So please check them out. Squad team force also posted them.
Starting point is 00:24:35 Squad team force also, yeah, they cross post it on Instagram. Maybe really funny to do a phantom shot in this. Like if somebody explodes or like something epic, dude, it's just like, we should. We gotta make that happen now. Oh yeah, we gotta do something. We gotta do something. We gotta do epic happens, just like, we gotta make that happen now. We gotta do something that's happened that, we'll find a big fall.
Starting point is 00:24:49 The stuff looks like, small stuff looks really like big and weighty when you film it, so it'd be cool. Yeah, because it's not like flopping around. It's not weighty. Do you have your characters light on fire at any point? I mean, probably, I'm gonna want to burn these dolls, but.
Starting point is 00:25:02 It's fun because we're using a very good camera with like a very shallow depth of field. And so like everything has to be like the slightest little movement. I've never gotten a better arm workout than puppeteering these things because I would be like holding them up on the set and then be like move it up a little bit.
Starting point is 00:25:18 Oh, a little down. It's a little bit different. A little bit different. And it was literally be like quarter of an inch movement to get exactly what we needed. Physical machinima. Pretty much. And you think about it.
Starting point is 00:25:29 Or like a physical RTA, almost. It's always funny working with like small stuff. Like I shoot Matt Crow a lot. And it's like, Dan will make an adjustment or like breathe on it. And I'm like, it's out of frame. Yeah. It's like, I don't know for me. It's like, it's gone.
Starting point is 00:25:42 I can't see it. Yeah, Blaine and Chris have done a tremendous amount of work on those two. Like they helped pull clips and they've been editing them and building a lot of like the sets and props. And I've never seen them like more excited about a project. Dude, do you know what I mean? It's really fun. It's also like just fun, cathartic kind of mindless stuff.
Starting point is 00:26:00 I'll see the new Pinocchio movie. Get back in with the tour one because it's a stop motion. Really? I didn't know that was happening. There's like four Pinocchio movie. Again with the Toro one because it's a stop motion. Really? I didn't know that was happening. There's like four Pinocchio things coming out. That's not the Tom Hanks one? No. That's not Disney Plus. No. Okay. I don't think so. And there's also the video game that's like Lies of P, which is a Pinocchio thing. But, uh, yeah, that's stuff what we're talking about please check it out They've worked so hard on it and I think it turned out yeah, absolutely amazing to out now We're supposed to put another one out Thursday and then I think we have two more after that so we're trying we made five
Starting point is 00:26:37 We're trying five of them see how people like them just because they do take a lot of time and effort to make And we're hoping like at some point we could have built sets and set things that we could just set up and go, but they've been busted and asked on them. It's a lot of work, especially for the initial episodes. Oh, it's like, it's almost akin to either animation or video game development, because it's like, you have no assets. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:04 OK, you want to make something. Oh, we need to make everything. So it's like everything is just asset generation and you kind of download shit. Right, it's physical. Or since it's so small, you can't just like go to the store and buy a broom. Right.
Starting point is 00:27:17 You have to like make a small broom. It's 3D printed. Okay, 3D printed. We got a paint. It's true. It's still a lot. I just type the handle in the chat at stinky dragon pod. Stinky dragon pod.
Starting point is 00:27:29 Stinky dragon pod. Stinky dragon pod. I got it. Uh, I'm sorry, I got a little distracted. I'm uploading. You probably footage from nothing we filmed earlier. I was like, oh, I forgot to copy some footage. I got to move it over there.
Starting point is 00:27:40 You might have, but I apologize for forgotten, because you filmed so many. Have you ever done a Slam slow guys with like a cat playing? Like jumping around. Yeah, I did it with me when he was he did Like jumping on a fence or something or jumping off a fence or yeah, you did some of that. Yeah, I filmed him when he was Like a few months old and then when he was Six okay, I wonder if you get a slow motion video of him biting someone. Get it?
Starting point is 00:28:07 Get a mic, can't it? Yeah, I mean, just hang out with him for a bit and he'll go for you again. I had the same, I got a battle scars on my legs. I saw that. Yeah, my cat, he jumped, he, it wasn't even anything like, bad, he was just like laying on me and he heard in a way so he jumped off me
Starting point is 00:28:21 and he definitely was bleeding. God damn. Is that the worst injury your cat's given you? No. He jumps on me a lot to get pet. So he's like scratch my neck a few times too. That was probably worst. Low rim punctures. Well he likes to sleep on like,
Starting point is 00:28:38 he sleeps like this on me. Basically with your neck back. Yeah, so like I'll lie down and I'll be like this and he's 14 pounds. But his leg will go like behind me and cut me a lot of times. That sounds painful. It's not awesome. No, but I was planning that there's just like this one toy. I posted a video of it.
Starting point is 00:28:56 There's just one toy he has that whenever I put it with him with a he grouse. Well, I saw you post that. Yeah, he's a cat. Like I didn't know cats did that, but he straight up like grouse at me when I saw you post that. Yeah, he's a cat. Like, I didn't know cats did that, but he straight up like grouse at me when I like try and get it from him. And don't take it from him. He's trying to, he's trying to give you a hand.
Starting point is 00:29:11 Does he even do the thing where he like, or just his back and it gets all like, it just like run up the stairs and he'll be like, Oh, so, who are you? It's like, I've known you your whole life, what you doing? Did I show you the picture where it was from my security camera when my cat was sat on my shoulders and we were looking at the window together and then the cat
Starting point is 00:29:28 Jumped from my shoulders to the little cat tree behind me and he kicked my head into the window Yeah, I think I I love that I should I believe you are you are nothing to that cat Yeah, I think I love that shit. I'm believe you are you are nothing to that cat You're like your platform. Yeah, inanimate object here. Fuck you. Fuck your face. It's just basically a video of the cat mid-air with Gavin's head on the door. Yeah, I don't know what you could just hear like, boom.
Starting point is 00:34:12 That's like hollow glass. Were you angry at the moment or was it just immediately funny? I was laughing before he landed. Yeah, that's so great. No, what? No. Someone to chat asked something awful. Um, no, get out. I saw a, uh, don't worry, darling, over the weekend. Don't worry.
Starting point is 00:34:31 Oh, did you, how was that? I quite, I quite enjoyed it. Yeah, actually, yeah, I like, I really like movies where it's like very mysterious the whole time and you're trying to figure out what the answer to the big question of like what's going on is going to be. And then there's a reveal at the end. I've heard I've heard the kind of movie like When I see in the theater, you know, like it's like a real like movie. What does that mean? What is that mean? That's what he said. That's what Harry Styles. That's a Harry style. Oh Yeah, there's a shot of Chris Pinext to him just like this associate just being like what am I doing?
Starting point is 00:35:04 Like what are you saying? I mean, I never won anything to be bad. So I mean, if it was good. I quite enjoyed it. It's a movie that I would enjoy seeing again. Is it out in the theaters or do you see it like with the fantastic rest? Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:35:17 Yeah, so at the Alamo this weekend. Yeah, I'll watch it. Okay. It has like very, if you guys have ever seen Stefford Wives, that movie with Nicole Kidman. They're like creepy, right? Yeah, yeah. It has like a sense of like uneasiness to it.
Starting point is 00:35:30 It's okay. Almost like not dystopian, but I don't know. Like, there's like something's wrong. Something's off. Like creepy almost. Yeah. It's hard to find out. And it gets into it pretty quickly, which is good.
Starting point is 00:35:44 How, I mean, since everybody's talking about it, how was Harry Styles' acting? He was okay. Yeah. Florence Peele was phenomenal. Yeah. Most of the cast was great in it. I think Harry Styles was good.
Starting point is 00:35:56 He definitely had some moments where I'm like, oh shit, okay. Okay. Because I think this might be his first time acting. I think so. Is this the spitting thing? Yeah. What was was that?
Starting point is 00:36:05 What happened? There was this thing where it was at some film festival I think in France, somewhere in... Was it a can? Can't, yeah, I think. It probably was, yeah. Where Chris Pine and Olivia Wilde were sitting down and Harry Styles came to sit down
Starting point is 00:36:22 and it looked like he spit on Chris Pine and then sat down and like they didn't say anything. It's like you don't see spit but like he's clapping and then like something happens and he looks down and then he kind of goes like yeah like he looks very angry all the sudden. Very like what the fuck kind of face but apparently he didn't spit on him according to both of them but I also don't know what happened. I know it is something different maybe. Maybe a weird drama around the cast in this movie, which I don't know if it's all a PR stunt or what, but the movie was great. We're talking about it. Yeah. It's only reason I know about the movie. Yeah. Maybe he drooled on him back,
Starting point is 00:37:01 and it happens to me a lot. I'm always afraid I'm gonna drool on something. It's also that like just something like fell off of him or like came out of him and he was just, I don't know. I mean most people, most people, if they got something that came out of Harry Styles, they'd be like, yeah, I, oh my god, yeah, I flew in. He's an awesome right now. I knew something felt better.
Starting point is 00:37:22 He's like, he's performing for a few days, right? Yeah, couple shows. You got to see him. I never got tickets, but I wouldn't mind. I'm not like a Harry Styles band, but. Harry Styles, if you're watching, I know you are. I wouldn't say no to seeing him in person. Yeah, I think not close.
Starting point is 00:37:38 I remember when Win Direction was like a joke. I know. And now it's like, I guess you can kind of just be real a little bit too. They've never been a joke. So I'm looking now it's like, I guess you can kind of just be real a little bit too. They've never been to checks. So I'm looking, there's a, he's doing a show on, when, he's doing it today, but the show on Wednesday, the cheapest ticket is $162, so I can see.
Starting point is 00:37:54 I'm sure that's reasonable. Top. Is that spitting distance? It is not spitting distance. It is far. It is way at house successful when they're action live, because they would, that was formed from a bunch of people was it on X factor or something. I think it was something. It was bunch of people
Starting point is 00:38:09 who weren't good enough singers to go to the finals on their own so they just combine them into and made a group. We're not. I don't think they even. The mediocrists. Yeah, but then they were just like ballistically successful was crazy. Yeah, I mean, that's what that, but none of them could stand on their own in the X-Flex. Has anyone else other than Harry Styles from that group, like, taking off? He seems like that Justin Timberlake of the group.
Starting point is 00:38:32 I don't know if I can name anyone from that group other than... Is Zane one of them? Can you name anybody from Insync? Besides Justin Timberlake? Let's pass. Let's pass. Steve Dingle.
Starting point is 00:38:43 Joey Fowell, right? Oh yeah. No, that's a... Was that Brock's, is that actually worth? No, that's Insync. That's Steve Dingle Joey Fowler. Oh, yeah, no, that's a is that box? Backshort was No, that's in sync. That's in sync and no, it's for tone. I'll be clear. Yeah, backshort boys. That's how I was Oh my god, you want me to look it up? Tell me why? How do I not remember any of the backshort boys Nick Carter? That's not Nick. Yes, Nick Carter. Thank you. Not Nick Carter He's different one Aaron Carter Nick Carter will accept Nick Carter is backshort boys. Yes, Nick Carter. Thank you. Not Nick Carter. He's a different one. Aaron Carter, Nick Carter, will accept it. Nick Carter is Backstreet Boys.
Starting point is 00:39:07 Is he okay? Aaron Carter is his brother. Yes. Not Backstreet Boys. Nick Carter, there was Kevin. Remember when this stuff seemed like it mattered? There was Bryant. Yes.
Starting point is 00:39:20 Scary Spice. Gary Bala. A-J. Yes. Dan. One more to go. I meanolle. A-J? Yes. Damn. One more to go.
Starting point is 00:39:28 I mean, I mean, I mean, Jesus. What do you look like? What color was his hair? Dude, I don't know. Oh, Wikipedia color. I'm looking at his name. I'm looking at a list of names. I'm looking at an A.J. Brian Nick. Oh, God. He looks like a douchebag.
Starting point is 00:39:43 I'm mad at you. She just said it right away. I don't know. Say I'm all one more time, you'll get it. AJ, Brian, Nick, Kevin. What's the first letter? Each. Harry, Hubat.
Starting point is 00:39:59 Huh. I'm hanging. You ever tell you? Yeah. Harlow. How we. How we. Okay. He but I'm thinking never tell you yeah, Harlow how we how we Okay, yeah Yeah, how did how did there's no way two people name how we got famous
Starting point is 00:40:19 A one direction was Harry Styles Nile Horan that sounds like a fake name. That's how he... Uh, Liam Payne and Lewis Tomlinson. Past member, Tomlinson, really. Tomlinson. Does it really be a big one direction?
Starting point is 00:40:36 I'm missing that. No, I've heard that one song there. I couldn't even tell you. That gets really heavy every song. All right. Seven. I guess literally every song. Back, three, smack. All right. Larger than life by one direction. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:50 Is it the baby you lied up in my world? Like, nope, I can't sing it. No, baby is just in Timberlake. Just in Bieber. That's different. There's probably a song called Baby by like every single boy band. A boy band.
Starting point is 00:41:08 Drake's just a one band boy band, you know. Whoa. I've been singing that for years. Ever since the garage. Do you guys have a preference between Backstreet Boys and Ensenc? Backstreet Boys. Backstreet Boys, yeah. It's funny because I, whenever someone would ask me
Starting point is 00:41:20 that I would always say Backstreet Boys, but thinking back to it, I think I liked more Ensenc songs. Backstreet Boys were way more famous. Were they though? Yes. Pretty famous. Backstreet Boys always felt like a cohesive unit
Starting point is 00:41:33 and then in-sync felt like just in Timberlaken for ends. I feel like Backstreet Boys is more international. Mm. I guess you would know. I guess both of us would know. So, did England have now, that's why I call music CDs? Yeah. Yeah, I think I got now 32 is my first one.
Starting point is 00:41:51 Okay, well, were they called now or was it like? It's like spot on. Like, it was in it. Music in it. Music in it. Tune, music in it, music in it. Tunes in it. Okay, in it. Oh.
Starting point is 00:42:08 Were you a Spice Girls fan being from the UK? No. Okay, fuck me. Okay, what's your thought on, uh, uh, Molt vinegar? Well, this is a good, this is a good vinegar, alright? Yeah, not too much. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:28 Oh, you know what? It sounds like feet. Going back to unskippable intros, stranger things. Oh, that's not good. I've never skipped that one. A very good one. Very atmospheric.
Starting point is 00:42:38 Again, that's, I think, another example of some, relatively quick. Like, very ominous, like 30 seconds and then out. Yeah, and there's a brief moment where it spells ranting, and I think that's funny. Ranting. Before the last time. I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I is how they place the intro at a good point in time within the show. Like it's not right at the beginning,
Starting point is 00:43:06 but like something happens and then they play the intro. It's weird to me sometimes some shows do, like the same show will sometimes do an intro right at the beginning or then sometimes you get a little bit of episode and then an intro and it goes into the episode. Or even like two minutes of episode. Right, it's like, or sometimes you'll get like 15 minutes
Starting point is 00:43:22 into an episode and then they play the intro and then it goes. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, if those guy matches either like just different writers or they had to like cut stuff. Like the, the, it ended up being like longer on the back half or something like that. So they're like, oh shit, well it's something you're rid of
Starting point is 00:43:34 the front. And you ever, you ever watch a movie and then like really far into the movie the title comes up and you're like, oh shit, what the fuck am I watching? Yeah, like that Japanese movie drive my car. Oh, I haven't seen it But it's like a thorough one movie. Yeah, the titles come on screen 45 minutes into the movie shit Do that happen to our our right yeah, yeah, I
Starting point is 00:44:02 Remember I mean Trevor watched it a few like a month or two ago at this point, but like, we kept wondering how long is this intro. It's after they do like the handshake thing and it's like R-R-R, like, oh my god. We've watched this movie for 40 minutes already. And Bond sometimes will have like the pre sequence and then a long song and graphics. Yeah. By the time actual film starts, you're often like 25 minutes in. Yep, and then it pops up.
Starting point is 00:44:28 I'm probably gonna be the only person on those one camp on this, but what do you think has had not more of a cultural impact, but a better cultural impact? James Bond or Austin Powers? Austin Powers? Better cultural impact. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:43 What do you signify as better? I like it more. I mean James Bond is like I think 60 is old. I mean it's a headache bigger. Austin Powers kind of based off. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I know. Yeah. Almost entirely. I mean, the Wood even was blowfelt. Yeah. You wouldn't even have Austin Powers if it wasn't for. And I think that that is probably the best thing that James Bond has done for us. Give him some powers? Yeah, I didn't know you were such awesome powers, Frank. I just watched the first one again, not the long ago.
Starting point is 00:45:17 I was like, this kind of holds up for fun. I think I watched the first two of those in theaters. I don't think I watched Gold member. Gold member is the weakest of the three. There's only three, right? There's only so. Yeah, sadly. It's just, yeah, there's just fun.
Starting point is 00:45:34 I don't know, man. But going back as I could to the, I think it's the only thing I kinda don't like about the Alamo Draft House is that they bring out the check when there's like, I think it's like 45 minutes left in the movie. And sometimes it's like kind of like, not spoiler, like I'm not gonna go that far with it,
Starting point is 00:45:52 but it's like, man, we're wrapping up. Like sometimes I wish I didn't know that it was kind of like starting to come to the end. You know? I could see that, that's true. There's been times where I was just like, oh, okay, I guess there's not gonna be another turn. There's not enough time.
Starting point is 00:46:04 Yeah. Well, you should see Don't Wear in Darling. It's been a where I was just like, oh, okay, I guess I guess there's not gonna be another turn. There's none of time. Yeah Well, you should see Don't worry darling. It's a bit of a longer movie actually. I've been a theater's no one else Yeah, definitely I'll go see you with you. All right. I'll see you again I'm gonna go out. I haven't been to the theater in a while, but I know the next movie I'm gonna watch is The decision to leave. It's the new park China woke movie comes out it comes out like two or three weeks from now. It's the same director who did, Old Boy, the handmade in, Stoker. So he does really, really cool movies, really, really good stuff.
Starting point is 00:46:37 So I'm excited to see it. The handmade in was the movie I've recommended for years. Yeah, and that's like, yeah, that's a fucking wild movie. Like, you don't get anything from the trailer. Like you watch a trailer and you're like, this looks like it's gonna be cool. And then you watch the movie like, I don't know what I was expecting, but it wasn't this.
Starting point is 00:46:55 Yeah. Hey, a 4.2 out of five on Voodoo. After Kai was on the podcast last week, she told us about a show on Netflix called Dated and Related. Oh, no. I watched a few of the Cypher's. I'm already viewed. It's not as bad as you think it's gonna be.
Starting point is 00:47:15 It's basically like siblings or cousins or like people who are related go on a dating show together. Okay. And they like to find somebody else. Yes. Okay. Like Wingman, Wingwoman, each other kind of situation. Yeah. I think I only watched the first two episodes.
Starting point is 00:47:30 It wasn't the worst thing in the world, but- And then they fall in love with each other. With each other. And then they do 23 me and they find what they're not related. Everything's fine. Yeah. What's that on? Netflix. Netflix has a lot of trash. Trash. Yeah, what's that on Netflix Netflix. Okay Netflix has a lot of
Starting point is 00:47:46 Trash trash They do like too hot to handle which is like super trash I'm finally watching like one of the longer running it's not super long But like one of the longer running enemies. I've watched it's under hunter I was I thought you're gonna say one of the longer running reality shows and I was like which one? I'm not big. I will usually I watch reality shows and I was like, which one? I'm not big. I will usually watch reality shows if I'm watching somebody on YouTube reacting to it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:10 So I get like the best cuts and commentary, but not just it on its own. I got Gavin into La Violin. You did? I watched four seasons of that. Was it a... How does it show? ...F Boy Island? That's a different show.
Starting point is 00:48:25 Okay. Love Island is a show that's been running for quite a while that I think started in the UK. And now it's an Australian version and a US version. But it's a show. The pros are the amount of deaths. Yeah, there's been some people who... On camera?
Starting point is 00:48:38 No, they just put people going and then... I guess don't like the fallout from it and... No. ...and it's suicide and then... Oh, wow. And then I guess don't like the full out from it and commit suicide. Yeah. Oh wow. Yeah, like one of the previous hosts of the show. A host? Yeah, had what's wrong with people?
Starting point is 00:48:53 I don't think that was anything to do with Love Island. That was okay. We would like to domestic issue. Okay, yeah, that was sad. Great show otherwise. Yeah, except for the incredible tragedy that inflicts on people's lives. Other than that, amazing.
Starting point is 00:49:07 It's a crazy show though because it airs every day. That's insane. So there's like 50-some episodes per season. That reminds me, somebody talked about this a while ago, or came up a little while ago. Gus, I feel like there's something you would know about. There's a show in Japan in the nine days. Pokemon?
Starting point is 00:49:28 Yeah, he did. It was so good. Pikachu was awesome. And it was this guy. He was put into an apartment, strip naked. And he had to write, do like, not raffles, but like, sweepstakes. Oh, I haven't heard of this. He had to make like $10,000 or something like like, like, sweepstakes. Oh, I have heard of this. He had to like make like $10,000 or something like that,
Starting point is 00:49:47 just doing sweepstakes. He wasn't giving food, clothing, anything. I've heard of it. I've never seen it, but I've heard of it. There's like a video like somebody made on it on YouTube. And it's insane because it's like, they give him nothing. And he is still like, they don't give him food, they don't give him anything.
Starting point is 00:50:01 He's like, he makes rice without a rice cooker or anything. So wow. I mean like, it's- How a rice cooker or anything like. So what? Yeah, I mean like, How could he do that? It's pretty fucked up. He like puts it in water like near a heater overnight. So it just like, Oh, he doesn't even have a stove,
Starting point is 00:50:17 like he has to cook it with a heater. Yeah, because normally if you don't have a rice cooker, you like, boil the, start the water boiling, throw the rice in and lower it to like a simmer and cover it. It's a hot plate, nothing. I also, he get a hot plate if he wins a sweepstakes, get a hot plate. I apologize to you, I interrupt you when you're talking about the anime that you were. I was just talking to my anime, it's dumb anime stuff, but speaking of intros, I never skip.
Starting point is 00:50:39 I'm like six episodes into that show and I never skip the intro. What's it called? Hunter Hunter. Oh, oh, I know. That's how you tweeting about it. Yeah, I have this thread now that's's it called? Hunter Hunter. Oh, hi. I thought you were tweeting about it. Yeah, I have this thread now that's like just only going if you want spoilers, but it's just like every few things. But there's this like notoriously long arc in it.
Starting point is 00:50:53 Like every other season up to that point is like 15 or 20 episodes or so, and the fifth season is, it's a 60 season arc or 60 episode arc. And I'm just like getting started on that now. So it's good. And it's fun. How long are the episodes like 30 minutes? Yeah, 22. That's perfect.
Starting point is 00:51:10 Yeah. I'm still like 60 episodes. It's still like 20 hours of content. Yeah, I think I just appreciate shows that have like shorter episodes. Yeah, I think that's just like, you could stop, like you could watch a couple episodes and stop rather than like feel like obligated
Starting point is 00:51:23 to watch the whole thing. That works sometimes, but I feel like there's some genres and some shows where it doesn't work. There's a show on Hulu right now called The Patient. I don't know if anybody else is watching it. It's got Steve Carell in it and it's like he plays a psychiatrist who gets kidnapped by one of his patients and his patient is like a serial killer. And so like Steve Kroll plays the psychiatrist who's trapped, like chained up in the serial killer's basement. Is that the real real sleep stop pancakes? No, the serial killer's forcing him to like give him therapy
Starting point is 00:51:53 so that he stops killing people. Is it funny? Oh wow. No, it's very serious. It's very, but it's a 30 minute show, but each episode's like 22 minutes long. And you're like, it's not enough time to really get into it. You start getting into it, it's like episodes over.
Starting point is 00:52:06 Yeah, for sure like that. I would feel like one road makes sense. But last night, around 11 o'clock, I actually go to bed at like 11.30 or something. When you say go to bed, you mean you fall asleep? Try to fall asleep. Okay. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:19 But it's different every night. Sometimes it's way later, sometimes it's way earlier, but it's like 11 o'clock, and we really wanted to watch the new house of the Dragon episode. And I was like, okay, like if it's like a 45, 50 minute episode, that's fine. But if it's like an hour, 20, that might be too much.
Starting point is 00:52:36 Turn on, it's like an hour, 16. And I was like, what's on hour 20? We ended up watching it. I will say, if you probably watched on HBO Max, right? Yeah. The thing I don't like about the time on HBO Max is after every episode they have like a behind the scenes thing. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:49 So it adds like 10 or 15 minutes to the run time. Which I kept in mind when I looked at that. So it's like, it says an hour, 16, but it's like really, it's like an hour four. It's all, I only watched a one 30 second clip of that episode of the first episode of that over and over again. Just see the butthole in the first episode. Does someone's butthole?
Starting point is 00:53:06 No. You can see a butthole very briefly. Let's bring it up on the street. Who's butthole on the street? There's like some orgy going on. I took a screenshot. You can't tell what it is. It's the Gavin Theory.
Starting point is 00:53:16 Yeah, I mean, if it's a fine-off away. Have you guys seen ambulance? They're a butthole now. No, but there's something that I can't unsee. And I, maybe I'll wait to bring it up until Eric's here. Yeah. If you zoom in, you can see it. Oh, wait, you can see the full starfish.
Starting point is 00:53:31 Not many people have been able to commit that butthole to mainstream media. As far as I know, it might be the first mainstream butthole. Yes. Oh, my God. But that, right? You see how? You can show that.
Starting point is 00:53:42 That's not offensive. There's not that close. Is that not offensive? Look, can I show that? Well, you might have to zoom in because it's too small on that camera. Oh, in the lamp for that. Yeah, it might have to be on your clothes up. Do it on your clothes up,
Starting point is 00:53:53 but I bet it's too close to be offensive. Yeah, I'll be fine. Tyler gave me a very solid, uh, show it, show it. It's still kind of you. You're gonna live? No. I think you can.
Starting point is 00:54:08 It's just a gradient of pixels. You can't tell what that is. It's like, you're right. Look at how quickly you fell in that. I just Googled house with a dragon butthole. It was like the top. We had some friends over. We just like couldn't stop.
Starting point is 00:54:24 So we just like replayed it like over and over again. It was like trying to spot it. We're like, can you see dick? It looks like, we sound like 10, 20, but we're not drunk. So we just don't like 20 minutes, we're trying to like figure out like, what is that? You see finger out, finger out, but oh. Oh, well you really do find it immediately.
Starting point is 00:54:40 Yeah. Yeah, that's a full bottle. That it looks like a whole lot of me. It's a full bottle. It looks like a boy, hold on to me. It's surprisingly good show. I've said, even after the last night's episode, they do. I haven't seen them on yet. It's really good.
Starting point is 00:54:56 I know. That is full star clips. It's a good episode. Yeah. Yeah. Who do you think intentionally did this? And who do you think was scared about you think intentionally did this and who do you think was scared about the fact that that show and ring of power rings of power is happening at the same time.
Starting point is 00:55:11 It seems like Game of Thrones is probably like let's do this on purpose. Yeah, I wonder them, one of them did it on purpose. Yeah, like one of them had a date and the other, the other, the other. Right. It's not good, but if that, because to me it just makes me not want to watch one. Right. Where is if they came out? I guess that is the point. I think about slightly further apart, I would watch one and then the other. It kind of puts me in the mood for like that kind of in general. Yeah. So like when it's like oh is there a new episode of this? No, but there is rings of power. It kind of reminds me how like there's like a lot of times where it's like like whatever the
Starting point is 00:55:44 generic Hollywood blockbuster is that summer there's that movie that. It kind of reminds me how like there's like a lot of times where it's like, like whatever the generic Hollywood blockbuster is that summer, there's that movie that comes out like a month before that has like a very similar plot, but isn't the same. Yeah. It gives me that kind of vibe. I don't know, because it's like Game of Thrones. It's like, they obviously came off a terrible ending
Starting point is 00:55:59 to the previous series, but they also know people really do love Game of Thrones. But at the same time, I could see Amazon being like, nobody's gonna go watch that. Let's put our show out at the same time. Right. I am really enjoying House of the Dragon. Yeah. I think it's really well done.
Starting point is 00:56:12 It's good. I did not want to watch it. I did not think it was gonna be good. It's good. And the biggest complaint I have about that show is the fucking intro. What's wrong with the intro? The music's really good.
Starting point is 00:56:24 I feel like. It's the same as the game is the same. It's the same? The music's really good. I feel like. It's the same as the game is the show. Yeah, the same, the music's the same. It's too abstract. Like watching the blood flow to connect everything. Like I don't understand what it's supposed to mean or what the cogs are supposed to be. I'm sure you could find a YouTube video.
Starting point is 00:56:39 You may be. Yeah, but it's like who the game is. It's what it was like useful geography. Right, the game is once taught you what the world was and told you who was going to be involved in the episode. Fair enough. So I thought that that was it. You kind of go into the Westworld
Starting point is 00:56:50 where you can learn something by watching the intro. This one, I feel like I'm not sure. I haven't seen any explanation of it. If I had to guess, I would say it's bloodlines connecting and maybe like a history of how people are connected through blood. Well, that's like a whole big thing with the Targaryens, right? There's a lot of how people are connected through blood? Well, that's like a whole big thing
Starting point is 00:57:05 with the Targaryens, right? There's a lot of incest and connection. I just don't know what each individual gear means. And it's a little too abstract for me and that for me. The other thing on Game of Thrones too is that they would sometimes just add a new place in the entry, be like, it was a big deal. They had new stuff for House of the Dragon as well.
Starting point is 00:57:22 A lot of interest. So this is my main anime intro where like the first half of the season, well. Well interesting. See this is where we're in Anamancho, where like the first half of the season, you don't know what any of it means. And all of a sudden something clicks where you realize that the character just died, the whole time their background was white and it faded out and you're just like,
Starting point is 00:57:35 they were gonna die the whole time and I just didn't know. So maybe it's just gonna make sense at the end. In the most recent season of Westworld, there was something like that, where you're watching the interior like I don't know what this means, there was something like that where you watch an interview like, I don't know what this means. And then like something happens to show you like, oh, there's been a huge spoiler right in front of me
Starting point is 00:57:50 for seven episodes. I had just two stupid to know for. It's like Ruby. Yeah. We do that, Ruby, yeah. Yeah, the intro for each Ruby season definitely like, doesn't give away what's gonna happen. But when you watch the season and then look back
Starting point is 00:58:04 and interact like that. Well, root characters together. I mean, yeah, that's how I love that, I mean, it's like you can tell the whole story without telling it. Telling it. Yeah. Speaking of Ruby. The dub.
Starting point is 00:58:16 That's unintentional segue, but the dub, that's where I screened them. Yeah, we finally start airing the English dub. It's out every Sunday. You're in it. I'm in it. All basically every Regional voice actors in it. Awesome. Yeah, even Bernie. Even Bernie. I was tying every was so surprised that we got him. We're like, no, we're gonna get it. I remember. What's up? How you doing? I was like, it was funny because like when I went in to do some dub lines, it was in a scene that had Yang and Ty Yang in it.
Starting point is 00:58:50 And they're like, oh, do you want to hear Bernie's audio so you could act against him versus against the Japanese audio? And I was like, y'all got Bernie? Like how? You were not the only person that had that reaction, yeah. And I think there, I guess there was a studio, a couple hours away from where he is. And he just was able to. He made a that had that reaction, yeah. And I think there, I guess there was like a studio, a couple hours away from where he is, and he just was able to-
Starting point is 00:59:07 He made like a day trip out there, yeah. Because yeah, so that's what we will do is typically, whoever records a scene first will only record against the original Japanese audio, and then as we bring more people in. Yeah, more to work with. Yeah, so we'll play back in the original Japanese, but then it's like all of a sudden,
Starting point is 00:59:20 all right, now you've got four other actors, actresses, and there, so it's a lot of fun. It's hard. It's a bit crushing it. It's a process all right, now you've got four other actors, actresses in there. So, it's a lot of fun. It's hard. You do this a bit crushing it. It's a process. Like, especially I feel for Alaina and like all the audio engineers who have to not only like place the beeps in the right spot for something and then like when you do a take like put it in and adjust it properly to fit.
Starting point is 00:59:41 Yeah, huge hot Selena because like, yeah, every. She's killing it. She's done every recording and it's like as we're going, yeah, she's shifting on the beeps go. We do a take, she moves stuff around. She's like constantly muting and unmuting tracks. We can hear, we want to hear. It's like watching her do that is like insane, but...
Starting point is 00:59:57 It's like a insane amount of skill involved in it, but it's definitely like... A lot of love's going to do it. A whole new challenge to voice acting, which like, it's so hard to explain because you have like the monitor that shows the scene, you have another monitor that has the script and you have like the line that you're supposed to do and you'll hear the beeps and after the beep, the last beep, you give a beat and then do the line essentially or deliver it basically right after that last beat. And having to read the line while also watching the mouth movement while also performing in an acting way, it is super challenging. It's like you're juggling a lot trying to get it all. I try to memorize them so I could just watch the mouth movement, but if it's like a long line
Starting point is 01:00:43 of dialogue. The longest one's always the hardest. Yeah. It's tough. Well, it's just, it's rough too, because it's like, you know, it's obviously the different language. So trying to get the performance right and get it to sync up in a way that's not awkward because sometimes like the pause is in the up and weird spots. Yeah. So a lot of times we'll be like, okay, let's just flip it.
Starting point is 01:01:00 Like instead of, you know, this, this, we'll do this, this, and then that makes it better. So it's, it's been a, it's been a really fun challenge, but it's... It's also super happy with it. So funny how, like, you're talking about how, like, in Japanese, for example, Blake is two syllables, like, the leku, essentially. And so if you're trying to match the mouth movement where someone says Blake,
Starting point is 01:01:22 it doesn't match the mouth, because it's just one syllable. We have them, like, almost every, the mouth because it's just one syllable. We have almost every, yeah, because there's like in Japanese, like only the consonant end can end without a vowel. Yeah. Every other consonant sound like has a vowel right after. So everything like gets extra.
Starting point is 01:01:35 Like, yeah, that's a, like, because some sounds can't be the end towards and you have to have, like I know when I was like taking Japanese lessons, like you can't, I could never say my name was Gus it was like Gassu yeah yeah there's no way to end with just yeah yeah yeah it's so yeah in Japanese like my my name is exact same name as Kelly okay there's just like there's no difference between Kerry and Kelly um doesn't find because I've been learning Japanese at the same time so like I'll be reading the
Starting point is 01:02:02 script something like oh wait I kind of know what I mean, I have no idea what that means, okay. Let me just say that later. I was just gonna ask you to just bust it out some Japanese when you were like reading something or like trying to like figure out how to like, do the line somehow, and I was like, I'm trying. Okay, hello. I'm trying.
Starting point is 01:02:18 That's awesome. Japan's putting it up. It is. October 11th. Fucking better. You going? I want a giant queue. What's it go? It's Japan. I want to go better. You going? I want to be a giant cute. It's a good to go. It's a pretty much. I want to go. I've been wanting to go to a super Nintendo world, you know,
Starting point is 01:02:29 but you know, obviously the pandemic and they've been closed. I may go in the spring like one because I feel like it's gonna be a crush of people right now. Maybe like once a isn't spring when everyone goes for a charity. After cherry blossoms. You're going to go in like April or May. Yeah in like April or May. Yeah, me, April or May. What's the quietest time to visit? Like the least touristy. Jiren COVID.
Starting point is 01:02:50 Yeah, I think it's gonna be pretty fucked for the next year with people who've been wanting to go. I guess, like historically, like winter. I think winter. Winter? I was just gonna say summer because it's like so hot. There are people don't want to do that. There is that late summer early fall
Starting point is 01:03:05 where it's just always humid and disgusting. Yeah. So like September maybe? Yeah, like right around now. Yeah. Yeah, I really want to go at some point for the first time. I'm probably going to go just like right away. Just a matter of like, I hate going places
Starting point is 01:03:18 where it's like too too busy, especially if it just opens up and everyone tries to go at the same time. Speaking of not busy, I sent you that picture of Heathrow Airport from Weird, Google Earth or Google Maps, I guess. I think we think that they've like photo-shopped or like composited images to get rid of all the planes. Oh, it was a day during COVID where there were no planes at any gate.
Starting point is 01:03:42 It's like happening. Oh, wow. Every single gate. If you look up Heathrow airport on Google Maps and do the satellite view. The airport's there, but there's no planes. Zero planes, trying to get on the runway. It's not on the left, in tunnel two and three and the right. And it's just there's nothing at any gate. Is it like a security thing?
Starting point is 01:03:58 What I speculated to Gavin was it might be like some UK law where they can't show it, so they have to edit them out. I wonder if it's the same like, like, Luton and Stensted and Gatwood. I should look, but yeah, if you look. You made it at least for those. Like, you see some of the gates, like, there's no way.
Starting point is 01:04:14 That's what it looks like. Oh, it looks like. No, those are the gates. Oh, it looks like the ones at the world. Yeah. Uh, I, where else would they be? Because I was just thinking about like, where did airplanes go the sky?
Starting point is 01:04:26 Okay, yeah, it's like off. It's a good point like is there enough room at Heathrow to pop all the planes They're surely not there's no planes at Gatwick either. Okay, so let's be a what about what do I do? Why what about what are the other ones you named what are the other ones you named Carrie? Worst to show look There's some over here, not at the gate. Okay. Is that some south way? Maybe they don't want people to be able to plan where the gates...
Starting point is 01:04:50 But you can see the gate. You know where the plane's gonna be. What about, like, good, good, like, a new work or something? Or even the off-stair port. Such an experienced, like, plans don't exist. Yeah, just taking them out. Where did school buses go at night? What about that?
Starting point is 01:05:04 All of the tops of planes? We've never seen it before that old mirror dude Newark has no Plains at the gates either okay, okay Disauce what about lacks Oh look there's one there one plane we're looking at Heathrow right now on the screen. Oh, yeah, that's terminal two and three Huh and then terminal five would be to the left of that yeah, that's terminal two and three. Huh. And then terminal five would be to the left. That Tyler said that Austin has them us look up LAX airport. Which airports have planes at that? LAX has tons of planes. Okay. What if what if on that you have you
Starting point is 01:05:37 seen the Apple TV screen? Yeah. The flies have it. What if they do the planes? That's interesting. I mean, it's illegal to look at planes from above. You can only look at them from the side or from the world. That would be kind of cool if they're all like, yeah, if they're... I guess mirrors wouldn't do what you're talking about. The mirrors would just show the sky. That's true. They would have to build like,
Starting point is 01:05:57 to see the alpha. They're just all tar back color. So in the sky shape, I chant spicy spiny says-shaped, I can't spy see Spani says, okay, I can answer this. They do edit out planes so the actual features of the lens can be seen easier, but the algorithm was designed for cars and other large moving objects,
Starting point is 01:06:14 but ended up doing planes too. Is that true? Can you not see cars on the road then? Maybe like big, big cars. Like just keep up, like just a five. Yeah, look like a white 35. See if anyone's driving to Heathrow Apple. I mean, that is kind of a nice feature though.
Starting point is 01:06:32 Of like that way you can actually see what the ground looks like. And now it cars like parked on. Yeah, I don't see. I've seen cars in Street View. Yeah, this is like the only cars in the satellite view on the road. I guess I guess that's one on Red River. Aliens are going to think that no one lives here. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:06:48 If they're using Google Maps. Well, so they use Apple Maps. Oh, no, there's some here on 35. OK. I couldn't see them because the yellow for traffic indicator was on top of it. But there are cars here on 35. What's the idea of aliens just at their computer being like,
Starting point is 01:07:01 huh, this place got barely anyone on it. We could fly to Earth and look, but we weren't. Yeah, where are they? This is interesting, if like there's like a folder, or it'd be cool to see like, what pictures they took during the COVID lockdowns, and like see what the Earth looked like during that time. Because didn't like the Earth start healing a little bit,
Starting point is 01:07:20 and everything got better. I saw a photo, I think it was Los Angeles. It was like a few months after. At the smog went away. COVID, like lockdowns were happening and people were like, I could see downtown LA from my apartment, whereas usually it would be all smoggy.
Starting point is 01:07:34 Yeah, when I first, when I, when I was first like, okay, to go out again, I thought I was just gonna look like the last of us. Just like, vines up this guy's face. Yeah, that's like deer, like everywhere. That is what it felt like. There was one point, it was like jarring lockdown where I like went for a walk somewhere
Starting point is 01:07:50 and they had like used caution tape to like tape off a park because they didn't want people using like the swings and stuff because it's like high touch areas. And I was like this looks like weird post-apocalyptic kind of situation where it's like all these playgrounds were taped off and. It like a blackmailer episode It was windy so the swing was just No, thank you scary
Starting point is 01:08:12 Apparently JFK has planes Oh, I would hope so I know they're in the fucking sky Gus You know even though it's called satellite view that's a misnomer like most of those photos are taken from Survey planes. Yeah, what yeah, it's called satellite view, that's a misnomer. Like most of those photos are taken from survey planes. Yeah, over what? Yeah, it's like other planes that fly patterns overhead in the sky. You shit at me, but you can see planes,
Starting point is 01:08:32 they just tall planes, like high planes. It's like, you'll see them sometimes if you like look on a flight tracking sites, they just make like zigzag, like real tight patterns over an area and they're just taking photos. Is that better image? Like before we go satellites? I think the closer. Yeah, this is it's it's it's good higher resolution and like satellites You can get like like government spice out lights have high resolution on them, but it's easier just to like
Starting point is 01:08:56 Cameras and all the birds that are fake Mmm. They already have hmm birds aren't real. Are there any buds on Google? sure probably Hmm birds aren't real. Are there any buds on Google? Sure. Probably. So they're... Unless they're mapping those out too. Oh my god that's... that's gonna take so much like a zigzag pattern. Wow! That's crazy. That is mind-blowing.
Starting point is 01:09:22 So Gav episode three of Survive Block Island meltdowns came out. It's been so awesome to watch. Yeah. Yeah, it's been a lot of fun. I'm worried because we did a bleep face like special like where Jeff and Andrew and Eric and I will talk to about that. And I feel like everything we've talked about so far in that bit that will come out when so I block on the disover, everything's been cut out. We're talking about things that- Oh, on the show itself. Yeah, it's like, oh yeah, and then remember this happened. It's like, oh, we're already past that
Starting point is 01:09:53 and they didn't use it. Yeah. Well, I mean, it's good BTS content then or to like hear what actually went on behind the scenes. Yeah, that's like entire, I guess because we, like the team I'm on is one of some challenges, so there's less screen time. Yeah. That's why, like when, well, I can't spoil anything.
Starting point is 01:10:11 But you could, technically, I'm just saying, you shouldn't. I will spoil that. I'm still in it for episodes. Shocker. Shocker, so then, got us still there. That would be interesting to like give all of that footage to like two different editors or editing teams and just see like what shows they make yeah out of it
Starting point is 01:10:27 You know, I wish the episodes were like ten minutes longer Yeah, I felt the same way when we waited it to I think it's just from like an editorial Yeah, the challenge is take so much the episode is like all of me is out of the challenge I know it's funny, which I know I felt like the same thing with us like there was so much that happened You're like oh yeah, I didn't even make the cut. It's not even in there. Like, I know at the beginning of the first episode of Meltdown, they're like, they told you, food and water.
Starting point is 01:10:54 It's gonna be important. And like with us, it was like, we were constantly having a purify water. Water especially. When you watch the final cut, it's not even mentioned. It's not even part of the game. It's like, that was such a fucking huge time sink. I think there was like one moment of,
Starting point is 01:11:07 in the first episode of R.C.'s first season, of Jacob drinking on purified water, I can't wait. And him being like poisoned, like, when he gave me, and like, that was the only reference to it, I think the whole season. Yeah, we had like a pipeline to like,
Starting point is 01:11:21 boil the water, like find the water, boil it, store it, you know, like all of this had to be working. Everyone, you weren't constantly working on it, but you had to pitch in every now and then and make sure certain steps were done. To me, the best part of both survivor and survive block island is when it gets down to the merge, and then like, it really starts kicking off
Starting point is 01:11:41 in terms of strategy and everything like that, and like really honing in on the people who are left. Not to say that the earlier episodes aren't good because those are fantastic too, but I'm really excited without the real game. Those episodes, the other ones won't mean as much. You know, this is the most recent episode. Someone in it, really, by accident,
Starting point is 01:11:59 fucked themselves over so hard. Okay. On the chopping block. Yeah. They were like, everyone turns and asks someone a question and like they get flustered and then accidentally tell the truth. So, I don't know what I meant. What did you say?
Starting point is 01:12:15 No, no, no, what I meant was. I get to see early cuts just because like I help give notes if necessary on stuff. I think episode four might be one of my favorites. Okay. It's the next one. This coming week on Friday. Have y'all, be one of my favorites, which is this coming week on Friday. Have you all said how many episodes there are yet? I think there's nine. Yeah, because it's 12 competitors and then you don't. I think it's nine days. I think it's supposed to be right. I have no memory of what happened in my episode. Okay, I'll tell you after this podcast, but episode four,
Starting point is 01:12:47 just wait, just fucking wait. It's incredible. And if you don't have a first membership, get that discount for $45 so you can watch the season two. The challenge has been really good. And look at there it is. They've also been like close. The challenge in episode three seemed like it was like neck and neck. It seemed like it was like neck and neck.
Starting point is 01:13:05 It seemed like it was going to be really close. It's all been really close actually, all the challenges. Why is it first 45? Because it's $45. $45 for the whole year? Because only the first 45 people will do it. So hurry, be one of the first 45. It is confusing though, it's first 45 and then get up to 35% off.
Starting point is 01:13:22 Yeah, I was expecting to be first 35. It's $45, it's usually 60. It's actually, it's not up to, get up to 35% off. Yeah, I was expecting to be first 35. It's $45, it's usually 60. It's actually, it's not up to, it's over 35% off. It's 38% off. It's the first 45 people, so hurry now. Let's get first 38. I hate you. Do you watch Survivor Carey?
Starting point is 01:13:40 Like Survivor Survivor? Yeah. I did the first like four seasons. Okay, it was like a family thing. We'd get together more for that big brother. Yeah, I did the first like four seasons. Oh, okay. It was like a family thing. We'd get together more than that big brother. Yeah. And then I just kind of like,
Starting point is 01:13:49 grab it. It's me, I just, I just don't have cable. I would love to see you on a season of Survive Block Island. I would love to. Would you do it? Oh, yeah. You could do it a season three. Are we doing a third one?
Starting point is 01:13:58 It's fun watching meltdown. I'm like, I want to get back in there. Yeah. I want to get back in like it was, it was tough. Oh man. It was some long days. But it's like learning what I know after the first season and watching these people on meltdown, like, man, some of the mistakes, some of the things people are like,
Starting point is 01:14:13 yeah, why are you doing that? You should know better. It's hard to know better by now. Wes has a friend who doesn't watch anything from Rupert. I think he mentioned that he had watched like a season of Red versus Blue 15 years ago or something. He's not cool, go ahead. But he did watch Survive Block Island the first season.
Starting point is 01:14:33 Cooler now. And was like obsessed with it. Having not known anything about anyone or who these people are, he loved it. Who would have to butter up to get a third one if there's one Trevor? I don't think he'd have to butter up anyone. I think if you're willing to do it, that would look bad.
Starting point is 01:14:45 Can I butter Trevor? If I could watch you. I'm putting him. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, the first episode of the first season, the trapping block in the first episode of the first season of Survive Block Island where things tell my god. And then tie it and leave that.
Starting point is 01:15:00 Which by the way, the whole first season is going up on the Roosteries YouTube for free. So the first two episodes are already out and they're being uploaded every Friday. So if you never watch it, you can go watch that and then see what you're missing and come watch. Exactly. Exactly. It's been Ann Ruby Ice-Cleanedum. It's been a ton to enjoy.
Starting point is 01:15:16 There's a lot. There's a lot, which is now it's a good time to get on here. Ooh, no, not only in the movie, ooh, no, infinite. Yeah. Was put on YouTube as one, not only in the movie. Ooh, no, infinite. Yeah. Was put on YouTube as one single 37 hour video. I can't believe they did that. YouTube made special, I don't think you can upload more than 12 hours.
Starting point is 01:15:36 So that was just the max, yeah. I think YouTube called some strings for us or something. I think even if you stream the VOD breaks in shorter. Yeah. You called Mr. Tube? Yeah. I think even if you stream, like the VOD breaks in shorter. Yeah. You called Mr. Tube? Yeah, I think I saw someone call it. You will see his tube. They're like, I looked at it and I was like,
Starting point is 01:15:51 it couldn't be only one hour and then they realized it's said one day, 20 or like 13 hours. Is that the longest video in YouTube right now? No, because you used to be able to upload longer videos. Okay. They took it away. Let's start deleting those. That was such a good stream. But I started watching it with 37 hour video and then I put it to 0.25 speed. Oh, why?
Starting point is 01:16:13 Lost a week. 37 and that's already like a work week. A work week's 40 hours. So long. I loved having that on. Did you watch anything? these? I was honest, I knew that this was gonna happen, so I was like, I'm just gonna wait till it's like over. It's perfect content to just have on. I love something like that. I love when we do events, so that's the same with Extra Life that I've done really long time because like I started on the Uno Infinite Stream,
Starting point is 01:16:37 went home, did a little bit of work, just had it on the back. I watched a little bit in bed, and then I woke up, and I was like, I'm not scared to be there, but I'm just gonna go and be on it again. I was like, this thing on my TV, I can go and be on the TV now. If I'm like, it was like, oh, it's a clue.
Starting point is 01:16:50 I tell you what happened with Trevor. So he was supposed to go on Sunday at like 8 a.m. You guys started Friday at 3 p.m. And he had like done a shift, I think, during like Saturday at some point in some other time and He was like yeah, I'll probably wake up at like six so I could shower and get ready and then get over there and blah blah blah blah and So I have the butter about beforehand, you know exactly. I got a prepare and I woke up at like
Starting point is 01:17:18 815 and he was still sleeping next to me and I was like oh shit like He slept through his alarm whatever and I like turn on the stream and there was still sleeping next to me and I was like, oh shit, he slept through his alarm, whatever. And I turned on the stream and there was no live stream anymore and I was like, okay, they must have beat the game and then I finished the game in the middle of the night and when he woke up, he's like, yeah, I woke up with my alarm and I saw that it was over and I went back to bed.
Starting point is 01:17:38 That's why, I was like, oh no, he missed it. I love it, you like, walk him up. And he was like, oh no. I was so worried when we started that the game might end immediately. I was afraid of the opposite. I was afraid you all had come up with a game that would never finish. Like that you all had fucked yourselves. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:17:57 Eventually the world would run out of money to give. But that was the, I think the first punishment card we got was speed round. And I was like, that's a disaster. This could just immediately end. There was a few moments that almost ended. Yeah. I think Jeremy almost won at some point. And then it was like some countdown, like just ended where you had to pick up a bunch of cards all of a sudden.
Starting point is 01:18:17 It was really, it was very funny. I'm really excited that it's all up in like one giant video now. Yeah. It's going to be the new like, you know, those like chill hop, chill vibes, study beats, videos, it's all up in like one giant video now. Yeah, it's gonna be the new like you know those like chill hop chill vibes Study beats video. Yeah, we just put like some low five music on it. Doesn't even need it. You just like the low chatter and like the kind of mundane Talking and random discussion. Oh no ASMR That's gonna make people horny
Starting point is 01:18:44 I stand by it ASMR's horny tired. I'm so tired. I'm so tired. I'm so tired. I'm so tired. I'm so tired. I'm so tired. I'm so tired. I'm so tired. I'm so tired. I'm so tired. I'm so tired.
Starting point is 01:18:51 I'm so tired. I'm so tired. I'm so tired. I'm so tired. I'm so tired. I'm so tired. I'm so tired. I'm so tired.
Starting point is 01:18:57 I'm so tired. I'm so tired. I'm so tired. I'm so tired. I'm so tired. I'm so tired. I'm so tired. I'm so tired.
Starting point is 01:19:04 I'm so tired. I'm so tired. I'm so tired. I'm so tired. I'm so tired. They're so weird that they do that. To promote voting in Brazil, they made an ASMR video with their voting machine. Yeah, and so straight up, just like, and here's how you'll find information about each candidate and then just like, across the blood. It's so weird. It's like an actual ASMR video. But I sent a video to Gavin the other day.
Starting point is 01:19:22 I don't know if you'll ever watch Kid Boga videos. He's the guy who like tricks scammers or scammers. I don't know if you all I've ever watched Kit Boge video. He's the guy who like tricks scammers or scammers. Yeah. In one of his more recent videos. He really does like a voice change. Just like an old lady or something. Right.
Starting point is 01:19:35 Yeah. He made an AI bot to talk to the scammers so that he doesn't have to do it anymore. Uh huh. So like it listens. Yeah. I thought I did. Did I know? I meant to send it. I didn't have to do it anymore. So like it listens, yeah. I thought I did, did I know? I meant to send it, I didn't.
Starting point is 01:19:48 He sent it to his other best friend. I did send it to Adam Baird. Ah, the other Gavin. The other Gavin. The Canadian Gavin. So he may, instead of him having to talk, I was talking to you out in the podcast, that's why it's that him having to talk to the scammer He just sits there and the AI listens to them and then responds back to them
Starting point is 01:20:11 Based on what it can understand and his voice like it's like all voice to you like the kind of voice He would use the sounds like an old person and so he's making this video and like there's a little timer showing how long the AI has been on the phone with the There's a little timer showing how long the AI has been on the phone with the remote call center person. And like within eight minutes, he got the remote call center person to give the AI bought bank account information. For the scammer? Yeah, oh wow.
Starting point is 01:20:35 The scammer's bank account info. So he's like, all right, well, I'm obviously going to report these bank accounts to Bank of America, Chase, like, tall, the bank, so that they close these accounts. Yeah. I love all those ones where he'll make the fake Amazon gift Bank of America, Chase, like, told you the bank so that they close these accounts. Yeah. I love all those ones where he'll make the fake, like Amazon gift card or the Google Play Store ones,
Starting point is 01:20:51 and like, she, him with the old lady voice, so like, start entering them in, it's just the dude screaming, just like, don't enter it, I'm just gonna hit it, okay? It's like $500, like, it's all fake. Then it'll go in Amazon and buy a mobility scooter or something. Yeah, this Yeah, I'm gonna be racing But you haven't seen his videos are so good. Yeah, it's amazing to me now that he could theoretically just deploy these and it doesn't have to do
Starting point is 01:21:13 Anything just like at the end of the day collect all the useful information then hand it over to the authorities Yeah, you can it could do like a hundred at the same time right yeah, but it could do a subathon where I just like leave it on But it's funny because there's some sometimes when he ways watching it where like he's amazing like oh my god The chat bot understood like I didn't think it would understand what he was being what was being asked of it Like he's like watching it like learn and figure things out I would pay for that package on my phone if I could just deploy the AI to it. Anytime. It's just spam likely. Yeah Yeah spam likely. Yeah, spam likely. Oh, they call you too?
Starting point is 01:21:47 It's best friend. Mr. Likely. I've heard you're not even supposed to end the call on those, because then they know it's an active number. Oh, interesting. I just meet the ring. Yeah, so I started doing my dad answers every single one. What?
Starting point is 01:22:03 He was going, hello. What? He goes, hello. Hello? And then I go, it's awful. My favorite is still, this is a long time ago, this person did this video where they called, I think it was a Chinese food restaurant, and placed in order, and they're like, sorry, I'm just gonna put someone else back on the phone.
Starting point is 01:22:23 Could you just read back the order to me and then they call another Chinese order there? Oh, God. And so it's like, all right, one, one, one low main, one fried rice, and the other person's like, mm-hmm. And they're like, all right, total is, is this? No, it's, it's this. And it's basically like keep going back and forth. It was like the most genius praying. I've seen that. I also seem like pizza delivery. Yeah. Yeah. As well.
Starting point is 01:22:44 And I might, might have been pizza delivery then. Now, I've seen, I've seen that. I've also seen like pizza delivery. Yeah. Yeah. As well. It might have been pizza delivery then. No, I've seen that one too. Okay. Like I've seen, you know, different versions of that video. I love harmless pranks. I was just thinking that. Yeah, it's like, and then a day it's like, you know, not going to hurt anyone.
Starting point is 01:22:57 Or hurting a scammer. Yes, it might inconvenience someone in their place of work for a little bit, but it doesn't hurt. It's not like, yeah, it's not literally hurting it. Funny is often very inconvenient. That's very true. Incubing in her full are two different things. That's why, you know, I've talked about this in the podcast before, like, I'll go out
Starting point is 01:23:14 of my way and do inconvenient things for me just to have something to talk about on the podcast. Or it's like, I'll see a clear solution to a problem I'm having at home or in my day to day life, and be like,, no, not gonna do that. We're gonna lean into the inconvenience of this just to have something to talk about. It's funny, I was originally gonna try and get up to something on Sunday to have something to talk about today
Starting point is 01:23:37 or have some more talk with today and I'm literally sleeping the whole day and then getting... That sounds like a great day. It was awesome until 2 a.m. last night when I was like, why can't I fucking go to sleep? And I realized this because I was like, I literally slept like the whole day.
Starting point is 01:23:51 Yeah, just sleep and watch the anime. It sounds like a dream come true. It's a Lord's Day. Yeah. Carries Day. Yeah, watching funer, a hundred and sleeping. Yeah. It's pretty great.
Starting point is 01:24:03 Yeah, I should have done that. I felt like today was a very busy day here. You have a lot of stuff. Gus was ran two different videos for us today. I was running around, crazy. I didn't normally, I have a, there's a cadence to my week and the things that I do. And normally Monday is prepare for his tail
Starting point is 01:24:20 from stinky dragon, which is tomorrow. And then prepare for recording black box down. Right. I didn't do either of those things today. Yeah. As you were just, we were too busy making videos. Like, I've been less involved with the puppet stuff. I really haven't done anything which you talked about earlier.
Starting point is 01:24:34 You all have been doing that. So you all were doing the puppet, well, you all were doing the puppet stuff in the morning. I had to record anama, then I got here, then I had to prep for two other videos that I was gonna make. So it's like, you all were moving out and cleaning up from the puppet videos in the room we film in, and I was like moving in behind you, setting up my stuff to film two other videos. Like, it was just, we were, that room was constantly being filmed in today.
Starting point is 01:24:54 Yeah, and the puppet stuff gets messy. There's like literally fake grass and dirt and like, fluids, like dried glue gun glue everywhere. It's just like, it's like an arson crash room exploded in that space. Yeah, I was, I was wiping down a table and John was coming in with like a shop vac and like, vacuuming up a ton of stuff under me.
Starting point is 01:25:17 I won't say what it is, but I gotta be in a video today. That was cool. Let's see what it is, I think so. Yeah, we did a, so. Yeah, you see, I gotta be in two videos today. We did a, so yeah, I got to be in two videos today. We did a, like, a, so one of the videos I, I, I was in charge of today was like a wine tasting video. So just like, I bought a bunch of different kinds of wine, like some really cheap, some
Starting point is 01:25:36 really nice and expensive, and then both of them blind, the carry and bar were blindfolded, and I just gave them little sips of each of the wines. Does that even, from a box? What, yeah. Like, what do you rate this? Is this good or is this bad? And then in the end, it was like, all right, your favorite one, it was this one. It cost two dollars or whatever it was. What are my favorite ones?
Starting point is 01:25:55 Concord grape juice. I also had grape juice in there to kind of film. It was very highly rated. That's awesome. Yeah. And there's another D&D theme video we did that you and Chris filmed. Yeah, we did a little teaser for that
Starting point is 01:26:08 on the Squad Team 4th Instagram actually. We did a live video showing like right before we started filming it. Yeah, it's been fun, but it was today was like strangely bit. I think between 11.30 and 4.30, I didn't sit down. Yeah. It was like five hours, I didn't sit down. Yeah. It's just like five hours of running around like crazy. I feel like there's a lot of this industry is like,
Starting point is 01:26:30 it's either you're doing that all day or you're like, I'm not trying to find something to do, but you're figuring out what the next thing is going to be. It's like more prep. A lot of highs and lows. Yeah, a lot of times it's boring. A lot of times it's sitting there and it seems like you're not doing anything. It's like, oh no, I've got to read this thing
Starting point is 01:26:45 or I've got to reply to this other email or I've got to write this thing. And it's like, it's very like, sit down and very chill and very mundane. And then all of a sudden you have a day where it's like you're just like, yeah, you're not stopping the whole day. Right, just go, go, go, running around.
Starting point is 01:27:02 I had a ton of emails today. I had a very admin day. I'm currently negotiating something with Amazon, but it's come through YouTube. So I'm talking to Amazon through Google. And it just happens. That works. I feel like I'm just dealing with the two biggest corporations
Starting point is 01:27:19 on the planet and arguing about what's going to be in them. That's so fun. But I don't have any direct communication with the client who was Amazon. Yeah, just tweet it, Jeff made this. Yeah, just tweet it directly to Jeff. Yeah, see what he thinks. Is this for a slow-mo guys thing, guys, you?
Starting point is 01:27:32 Yeah. Hell yeah. Y'all. What was funny to me is you sent me that screenshot of London Heathrow with no planes. And I thought it was cool. Like, I could see the little Google account logo was the slow-mo guys. That was like, oh yeah, that's weird. I'm like, Gavin is the slow-mo guys. And he's on
Starting point is 01:27:51 the slow-mo guys account looking at Google maps. Yeah, that's right. Google. Is that like your primary YouTube account? I'm often locked. I don't watch a lot of YouTube account, but I am... Well, I mean, you can occasionally, too. Yeah. You can have a TikTok, right? Some of us? Uh, I apparently. I didn't run it. Oh, I don't run any of the socials because of that. No, I wouldn't think so.
Starting point is 01:28:12 It's just too much. It's a lot. Yeah, I know. Don't tell me I waited for this, but I stopped checking my email a while ago. It makes your life a lot easier. What's that like? I mean, like, I like.
Starting point is 01:28:23 I can't not check my email. I see, like, I get notifications of my phone. Yeah. And like I'll answer ones that I can tell are important. Mm-hmm. But if it comes by and I can tell it's not meant for me or like it is like I'm just like CC you know. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:28:38 Yeah. I just don't. You know what? Cause this is this makes me a terrible boy. Nobody I didn't say this. This is all a legend. I'm just, in my head, I'm sorry. This isn't being recorded or anything.
Starting point is 01:28:48 Those slack me. You're good. I'm like, if they need me, those slack me. Yeah. I see that. I think it's different for every department, every person. But, yeah, nobody actually needs me. I'm on top of slacks, but if it's a big company,
Starting point is 01:29:04 why do you mail, I'm not looking at it. But that's really what I mean. And obviously somebody emails me, I will like reply to them. Have you ever slacked me? We have like eight slacks with me. I'm sure I've slacked you. Nice.
Starting point is 01:29:16 But I don't know. It's probably to be like, hey, come into the podcast, something like that, let me see. Yeah, to be fair, the people I interact with most at work, they have my phone number. Gavin, our last select is October 22nd, 2020. Ooh, I had, I had, I came over to it was by a slide TV or something and I went back because there wasn't that many
Starting point is 01:29:34 and I looked at what our first slack was between each other. I had to delete it because there's something really mean that I said while you're filming a video to try and get your tapricks. Not just deleted it. Out of context, I was like, this cannot exist on the internet. I'll tell you later, but I just like,
Starting point is 01:29:49 I have to get rid of this. I have to get rid of this. But in the evidence. So our first ever slack together is me sending you a photo of us, a board photo, where Bernie is like in between us. Like, oh, I'm asleep. That's Bernie. That's the photo. Like, sleep, that's Bernie.
Starting point is 01:30:05 That's the photo. He was texting me right before this podcast. Yeah. Do you think, and it happens quite a lot, like almost every week around this time. Do you think his body is so used to talking to me at this time on the week? He gets all hyped for it.
Starting point is 01:30:20 There was one time where he texted me while we were doing a pre-record of this podcast. And I took a video of me in this chair and I'm like One of the last things I slack Gavin was a factorial video in November of 2020 when I blew up a bunch of shit Is that game fun? It seems like I would like it is so addictive the highest rated non-val game on steam wow, okay It's very brown. Wow, okay. It's very brown. Yeah, okay.
Starting point is 01:30:47 It's coming to Switch next month, which seems fucking insane to me. I'll play, I'll wait til it's that, because it's getting controller-support. Right. Okay, I'll play it when I steam deck, when it comes out then. Okay, I'll do that.
Starting point is 01:31:00 I need someone to, that's another game. I need someone to sit me down and teach me how the frickin train signals what? Dude, I'm too dumb for that. When I get the train signals working, I'm like, yes, don't touch it! I can't even do the tutorial! I'm like, three into the train to show and I'm like, hey, just make this work. I'm like, huh? Yes. What?
Starting point is 01:31:18 I need to start playing it again, but I remember the last time I played, I was very happy because for the first time, like I didn't have to extend my bases as much. Like I built automated mining facilities that would load into a train and when the train was full, it would bring it to my main base, unload, and send the empty train back. Like it was like, oh, and then I had two different locations sharing the same track with the signaling so that they wouldn't collide.
Starting point is 01:31:43 Right. So you could unload them and one would queue and then it would be gone. The next one would come in. Is it kind of like SimCity, like back in the day? Kind of. But like way more in deck. I'll look at. Okay. I was like, if you took SimCity and Redstone from Minecraft. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:32:00 Kind of. Okay. The basic premise is you're an astronaut, astronaut. You're an astronaut who stranded on a planet. And you need to build a rocket to get off the planet. Classic. So it's like you start with like a pickaxe. And it's like, okay, you can get wood and you can mine or on the ground.
Starting point is 01:32:19 There's also aliens, but Gus turns off the, sometimes it drops the aliens, it's easier. The aliens make a difficult to still attack you, and the more industrialized you become, and the more pollution you make, the angrier the aliens that get, and the more they mutate and the stronger they get, so they'll keep attacking you.
Starting point is 01:32:33 I feel like we could use that. It's just, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take a, take People are saying you can just play it on Steam Deck now. Okay. I thought you would need like controller support. I'll just do that. Yeah, eat Crab says you can just play it. Oh yeah, after I finished Shovel Knight Dig, which just came out, it was very good.
Starting point is 01:32:53 We were talking about Sonic earlier, where you go right constantly, this is game you go down. Whoa. Sounds like my kind of game, K-Daw. Hey! That's a go-down. Oh, that's going down. Alright, let's wrap this up.
